Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International
-
Church podcast, where we seek to love all nations, equip the
-
church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.
-
We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever
-
you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get
-
your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe
-
some tea, and get ready to receive.
-
It's go time. Let's get into it.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop.
-
If y'all know my brand, right? I'm going to be on brand, OK?
-
She doesn't decree God. We thank you for your
-
faithfulness. You've just sung about God.
-
I believe you've been faithful to me, to generations before me
-
and after me. And then we come out of that
-
with her. Let your clap.
-
Declare your faithfulness. Don't just use your words.
-
Let your clap declare your faithfulness.
-
Let your clap declare your trust in God's faithfulness.
-
I'm telling you it makes a difference.
-
There's a clap that shakes a city.
-
There's a clap that shakes a country.
-
There's a clap that shakes a state.
-
I'm telling you, be consistent. Don't make false steps.
-
Hey, man, you can have a seat. You know, let's let's not just
-
pump you up cheerleading. There was a football team and
-
they Seattle Seahawks, y'all may know them.
-
And it was a run called the beast quake.
-
I don't know if you remember all that from what the years ago,
-
but the beast mode, right? But he had this run and the
-
people in that stadium were cheering so loud OK that it
-
literally registered as seismic activity in a lab miles away.
-
Their applause literally shook the earth.
-
Their applause literally shook the atmosphere where the systems
-
around them had to respond. When you get seismic activity,
-
what happens is the people at the seismic place, that's the
-
official name. People at the seismic place,
-
they say get first responders ready.
-
Because we don't know whether this is just something that's
-
small, something that's going to build, right.
-
I'm telling you, your Thanksgiving, your gratitude,
-
your applause can shake. Nations can change atmospheres.
-
Don't sell yourself short, right?
-
And then you're not doing God any favors with a little tepid
-
tappity. Tap, tap, tap.
-
God secured who he is. You don't have to check
-
Instagram to find out of his likes.
-
He like yourself. Hey, man, hey, man, what am I
-
doing right now? I'm really trying to get your
-
atmosphere engaged and encourage you as we talk about the remnant
-
and talk about giving, because giving is another way in which
-
you engage that very kind of faithfulness of God.
-
Amen. How many of you all are
-
currently tithing? Amen How many of you all are
-
either tithing or committed to tithing?
-
Amen, Let's finish strong for the to the end of the year.
-
If you are already tithing or committed to tithing, make sure
-
you finish strong to the end of the year.
-
Do yourself a favor and finish it out.
-
God says this, prove me, test me in this thing and see if I will
-
not open up the windows of heaven.
-
God says this is your distance from me.
-
God how is distance from you? How do we draw near to you?
-
He says this in tithes and offerings.
-
You forsaking me get back, return and doing that.
-
The New Testament says this, you can't serve 2 masters and also
-
says where your treasure is. That's where your heart will be.
-
Your tithing consistently is the way you can anchor yourself into
-
the faithfulness of God. Your faithfulness and your
-
tithing is a way to anchor and connect yourself to the
-
faithfulness of God. Are you paying for God?
-
Are you buying God though you're not?
-
But what you are doing is putting your treasure in a place
-
where that's connecting it with God.
-
You're putting your treasure in an eternal place.
-
You're opening yourself to generosity in ways that allow
-
God to flow through you in greater measure.
-
So make sure that through the end of this year, you'll be
-
diligent to that and it consistent with that.
-
Also too, we're doing a remnant project.
-
Ask God, pray, see God. God, how can I participate at
-
the end of the year in a different sort of way?
-
How can I give an extra cheer? How can I give an extra gift?
-
How can I give something extra generous?
-
As we move forward to the remnant project as the end of
-
the year, we got about 350,000. We're trying to raise in this
-
phase what we're doing right now.
-
Next quarter, we have about maybe another half a million to
-
go to through furnaces and things like that.
-
But our focus right now is about 350,000 or so.
-
And so let's finish strong. Let's finish strong.
-
Let the world know that we believe in the God we serve.
-
Let the world know that our gods were sacrificing for.
-
Let the world know that we willing to put our all into what
-
God is doing for us because God's putting all into us.
-
Amen. It's an opportunity that we
-
have, believe me. I want to tell you, one of the
-
things big investors look at is how much you've put in yourself.
-
How much skin do you have in the game?
-
Because why should I bet on you? Why should I invest with you
-
when you're not going to invest in yourself?
-
And it's not about getting other people, but it's about saying,
-
God, I'm investing in what you're doing.
-
We're doing it ourselves, God, we're counting together in
-
ourselves. And as you do, God sees how much
-
we're investing in what he's doing.
-
And that releases some other things in his life.
-
Amen. Amen, Amen.
-
So you have some different ways to give and there's some up here
-
you can you can do we we're going to change this.
-
We're going to put generous in front of everyone.
-
You can generously square, you can generously tightly, you can
-
generously E transfer, you can generously check and you can
-
generously give cash as well. Hey, man, And what, what if
-
you're one of those people that have said, hey, I haven't made
-
that commitment? It's never too late to make it.
-
It's never too late to make it. And I'm telling you, if you have
-
to make a choice, make a commitment to tithe even from
-
remnant, because tithing is going to create a lifestyle of
-
generosity. And before long you'll build a
-
wave after wave after wave of generosity and press special
-
giving opportunities like the remnant will follow soon
-
thereafter. Amen.
-
Amen. That was the place for a good
-
hand clap. That was a good preaching like
-
that. Ready.
-
We're going to check you give me a hand clap that measures what
-
responsible. I'm going to say we're giving
-
all of you checks for $50,000 today.
-
Pick them up at the at the at the back over there.
-
Like, give me a clap for that. Right.
-
Ready. Right.
-
You all have. You are going to give the church
-
check for $50,000 a day. Everyone of you leave it at the
-
back kiosk. There, now there you go.
-
Now there you go. There you go.
-
Yeah. Don't let the shout of the check
-
you get and outweigh the shout of the check you going to give.
-
Amen. Y'all, y'all, y'all picking up
-
what I'm putting down today. Let's just jump right into this,
-
right into this word. Today we have an opportunity to
-
share the Word of God. And I always thank the pastors
-
for opportunity to share the Word of God.
-
And I thank you for the way that they continue to increase the
-
degree of difficulty in sharing the Word of God with you all.
-
Y'all don't blame them kinda. But you know, it's one thing
-
usually when we get up here and I get up to share a word, y'all
-
don't know what I'm saying. Y'all ain't got no idea where
-
I'm coming from. So you have no idea where I'm
-
going and really just have expectations to receive, right.
-
But when the pastors say, yeah, Elder John, you're going to be
-
talking about the psychology of deception, I'm like, man, why
-
are you going to tell all them that?
-
You could have just told me, right?
-
So it's so it's a different lift and everybody know what's
-
supposed to be coming. Does that make sense even though
-
y'all don't know? No, I jokingly say that, but I
-
do appreciate our pastors putting trust in US.
-
And the, and the thing I'm I'm really appreciating this moment
-
is how he's trusting us to continue to move things forward,
-
right? They're saying we need you to
-
continue the work and move it forward, not just keep it where
-
it was to protect what was done. And so we appreciate these
-
times, pastors, we thank you, appreciate you.
-
Our blessings and our prayers are with them.
-
Can we just pray with them? Very quickly, they have an
-
opportunity to present the vision for our church and our
-
community and with a group of people who said we want to
-
support, we want to step up, we want to give in to what you're
-
doing. And so they're going to be doing
-
that later today. But I want to take a moment to
-
pray for that in this moment. It's connected with our
-
offering, not giving. Father, we thank you for your
-
favor. We thank you for your grace.
-
We hope, God, that the biggest thing that comes across is the
-
joy, the biggest thing that comes across, the joy of
-
serving, the joy of giving, the joy of building, the joy of the
-
Lord. Then we're a House of praise and
-
a House of celebration. Father, we thank you God, them
-
as they speak, men's hearts and women's hearts are open and
-
inclined done to them. God, we think that the heavens
-
are ready to respond, the angels are ready to respond, the earth
-
is ready to respond, and the atmosphere is ready to respond
-
in that space. And even more God than speaking
-
and sharing, in order for us to receive, let them release the
-
word that changes the lives of everyone there.
-
Let them release the word that amplifies the passion, the
-
purpose, the call and the generosity of the hero is God.
-
Let them speak a word, then fuels and fires the leaders as
-
to what God can do and to what's possible.
-
God let them transform the lives of the people and the leaders
-
that are there. Let them walk away more
-
encouraged even then they generously support what is that
-
we're doing? Father, we thank you in Jesus
-
name, Amen, Amen. Testimonies, testimonies,
-
testimonies. So let's let's jump right into
-
this. The psychology of deception, the
-
psychology of deception, the psychology of deception.
-
First of all, the nature of the deception reveals the psychology
-
of the deception, the nature of the deception.
-
So what does that mean? That means you got to see what
-
kind of deception you're talking about.
-
If I can see what you're trying to do in deceiving, that gives
-
me a better sense of the psychology that goes behind it.
-
Does that make sense? OK, so the nature of the
-
deception reveals the psychology of the deception.
-
So when we talk about the psychology of deception, we have
-
to look at the nature of the deception.
-
So 2nd Corinthians 11 pass is going to develop this more when
-
he comes back. But I want to just touch base on
-
this a little bit as to some of the kinds of things and some of
-
the aspects of deception that we see 2nd Corinthians 11.
-
I know it's a small print, but sometimes I like to get things
-
on just on one screen so you can see it all together rather than
-
switch to to different sides, right?
-
It says this. So Paul's talking to some people
-
who are questioning Paul's credentials.
-
OK, this is the Second Corinthians.
-
It's already a first Corinthians.
-
The first Corinthians. Paul wrote to them and said,
-
listen, y'all doing these mighty acts of power, signs, wonders
-
and miracles, but your lives are tore up, Your love walk is tore
-
up, your relationship to each other's tore up.
-
OK, you're not trying to strengthen yourselves and walk
-
in the way God needs you to walk.
-
There's confusion in your ministry, confusion when you
-
gather together because everyone's trying to show the
-
kind of gift they have. That was the first letter, this
-
second letter to Corinthians. So by that from that time to
-
this, apparently someone's come down and said, man, Paul don't
-
know what he's talking about, right?
-
Paul's talking, trying to manipulate you, trying to use
-
you, trying to draw you to himself.
-
He's not trying to follow what God is doing.
-
It's a nice writing to these people.
-
And he said, listen, I wish you would bear with me a while.
-
I indulge a little foolishness, so bear with me, he says.
-
I'm zealous for you with the godly eagerness and a divine
-
jealousy, for I've betrothed you to one husband to present you as
-
a chaste version to Christ. But I'm fearful lest that even
-
as the serpent beguiled Eve, everyone say Eve by his cunning.
-
So your minds may be corrupted and seduced from wholehearted
-
and sincere pure devotion to Christ.
-
So he's saying, listen, I've preached to Christ to you, I've
-
shared Jesus with you in a way that allows you to be wed to
-
him, for you to know who you are in him and who he is in you,
-
God's purpose for you. I've created an atmosphere for
-
you to know God, his Father, and even more to know his that he's,
-
that Jesus considers you his bride.
-
He's willing to give his life for you that way.
-
I've done that. I'm concerned, though, that
-
there's some corruption that's happening.
-
Having done that. OK, And why do I know there's
-
some corruption happening because of this?
-
Because you seem ready to endure it.
-
If someone comes and preaches another Jesus, you're
-
disqualifying me. But if someone come preaches an
-
easier Jesus, you're saying Amen, Amen.
-
If someone's preaching a softer Jesus, you're saying Amen, Amen.
-
If someone's coming to preach to you a Jesus, that's not
-
requiring you to love your enemies and just focus on loving
-
the people that love you. He's saying Amen, Amen to that.
-
He said, listen, I'm concerned because it seems like you're
-
very willing to listen to another person extol a different
-
apostle, a different sent one. If they going to preach another
-
Jesus to you, the one that we preach, or if you receive a
-
different spirit or if you receive a different gospel, you
-
going to tolerate all of that well enough.
-
So what he's saying here is this, there can be a deception
-
about another Jesus, another gospel.
-
Remember to understand the psychology of deception, you
-
have to understand kind of what the deception is, what's what
-
they're trying to deceive you from.
-
Sometimes it's not trying to deny Jesus.
-
Sometimes the deception is another Jesus.
-
Right, Yes, Jesus is love, but love wouldn't hold you
-
accountable like that. Love would stroke you and pat
-
you. Love wouldn't confront you with
-
a statement that says you brood, you brood Vipers.
-
Love would always be like, it's going to be OK, it's going to be
-
OK. See, that's another Jesus,
-
right? Jesus is love.
-
That means he's going to always encourage you and comfort you.
-
The Jesus that comes and turns over tables, that's a different
-
Jesus, right, Right. Jesus will come and turn over
-
tables as much as he would sometimes come in and, and, and
-
stroke you and pat you and all those different kind of things.
-
What Jesus are you preaching? What Jesus are you listening to?
-
Sometimes the deception is not in not Jesus at all, but another
-
Jesus or another spirit or another gospel.
-
What's another gospel? Hey, I know you think the way to
-
get to God is through Jesus and through the Father and and like
-
that, and I know you say God, I receive that by faith.
-
But then after you receive it by faith, you got to make sure you
-
serve. You see what I just said?
-
Now you've just received it by faith, so it can be by grace,
-
and now you're adding something else to it to qualify it.
-
I know you've received Jesus, but after you receive Jesus,
-
then you've got to serve. Now, do we preach serving right
-
here? Yeah.
-
We don't preach it as a means of salvation.
-
We say it's the place where you get to understand who you are.
-
And this discipleship that happens, it's not because of
-
what's required for you to receive Christ.
-
Does that make sense? OK, another Jesus.
-
So that's that's part of 11 type of this session.
-
Today we're going to go over 2 sessions.
-
So I'm really taking my time to set a foundation here, right?
-
So for those that are here getting the foundation, come
-
back and get the fullness of the picture.
-
For those that are here getting the foundation, when people come
-
who weren't here this morning, pray for them that they get up
-
to speed because I'm not going to actually do this kind of
-
foundation in the next next time.
-
Does that make sense? Why are you doing that?
-
Because you have to understand we're not just preaching to
-
people. We're preaching to atmospheres.
-
We're preaching to moments. OK, so the so the demons and the
-
enemies of God, that's going to be here for the next message.
-
They are here already, not people.
-
I'm talking about atmospheres. So we're setting a course for
-
all those that would listen to try to oppose the work of God.
-
Here is our foundation on which we stand.
-
Come fight that, right? And so we need to do this work
-
of setting this foundation. That's really important.
-
We're talking about deception. You need to have a solid
-
foundation if you're going to deal with deception in your
-
life. Amen.
-
Amen. So what is deception about
-
Jesus? A different spirit, a different
-
gospel. Matthew 24 says this.
-
And because of iniquity shall bound the love of many, shall
-
wax cold. Part of the deception of dealing
-
with this Jesus and this gospel and this Spirit is to create a
-
space where your love begins to grow cold.
-
Your love begins to grow cold. Matthew 2424 says this.
-
For there are false Christs and false prophets will arise and
-
they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and
-
lead astray, if possible, even the elect of God.
-
But can you go back to the the previous screen, previous verse.
-
That's Matthew 24. Go back to the next slide.
-
No, the one, the one after the the one.
-
Yeah, that's Matthew 24 St. chapter.
-
OK, go back to the previous one, Matthew.
-
Yeah. 12 it says the love of many shall wax cold.
-
Notice how cold love walk precedes false prophets
-
deceiving. OK, He's saying because of the
-
iniquity that's in the earth, because of what you see, because
-
it seems like it's not getting better, you ready?
-
Because it seems like the wicked never get punished.
-
Part of what's happening in that love of God growing cold, part
-
of what happens in that is you're saying this.
-
What matters is what makes difference is to serve God.
-
I see people who deny him being exalted and somehow having
-
success in the earth. I look at the character of
-
people who we esteem and who we profile.
-
And no one is dealing with the character issues.
-
No one's even speaking to the character issues as long as they
-
get what they want. That can make you get a little
-
jaded and cause your love to grow cold.
-
But notice it's the growing of cold in the love of God that
-
precedes the next slide, Matthew 24, 24 False prophets in Christ
-
will arise. So what they're trying to tell
-
you is the deception is trying to deceive you to not walk in
-
the love of God. It's trying to deceive you and
-
part away from the love of God. Because if I can deceive you
-
from the love, I can deceive you into the false prophets.
-
Because false prophets will do signs and wonders as well.
-
What's the difference between a false prophet sign and a true
-
prophet sign? The motivation, the love that
-
motivates it, That's the difference between the two,
-
right? It's going to be so close you
-
won't be able to tell based on what's happening.
-
The way you're going to tell is by the motivation, the source of
-
where it's coming from. So one of the deceptions is to
-
get you deceived out of the love of God.
-
Amen. Second Timothy 3 and this is how
-
deep the deception from love will be.
-
This is how deep man, why do you love people?
-
Why you forgive? Why don't you focus on you?
-
This, this know also that in the last days now we in the last
-
days now because Jesus said we was in the last days, He's on
-
the earth. So we know we in the last days
-
now, OK, for men shall be lovers of their own selves.
-
So they're going to transfer their love for God to loving
-
themselves. It's all about me.
-
It doesn't mean you're not supposed to love yourself
-
because the scripture says what's the two commandments?
-
Love God, love God. Somebody got to know it in the
-
room because you got folks here that know it.
-
Love God, love your heart, soul, mind and strength and then love
-
your neighbors. You love yourself, right?
-
So you do have to love yourself. So what's the difference between
-
that and this? OK, the difference is the focus
-
here is loving yourself. The focus there is loving God.
-
And loving God you come to love yourself.
-
And now that I know who I am and who how God, maybe I'm able to
-
love other people that way. The focus is not loving yourself
-
in the initial case, loving God with all your heart, soul, mind
-
and strength. Here's all about me, all about
-
how I look. Men shall be lovers of their own
-
selves, covetous boasters, proud blasphemers.
-
Disobedient to parents. Disobedient to parents.
-
Disobedient to parents. Disobedient to parents,
-
disobedient to parents. It don't say teenagers
-
disobedient to parents, it just says disobedient to parents.
-
My parents are dead. They're gone, but you know I can
-
still be disobedient dishonoring 2 of them even though they're
-
not here. It don't say parents that are
-
alive keep preaching John, keep moving unthankful.
-
What's unthankful great is your faithfulness.
-
You faithful forever God. Thank you for your faithfuls.
-
God be faithful and then I clap as this.
-
Are you really thankful? Unthankful.
-
Notice how unthankful perceives unholy.
-
Notice how disobedient the parents perceives unthankful.
-
What does that mean? Your parents may not have been
-
great parents, but are you thankful for the right they did
-
do? Are you thankful for the fact
-
they didn't abort you? Are you thankful for the fact
-
that they gave you the best? You don't know their story.
-
Maybe they was broken and they felt that they weren't able to
-
be parents to you. Are you grateful for, if not
-
your parents, the fact that God put you in that family?
-
Why? Because God has gifts in that
-
bloodline He's trying to get to you.
-
Are you thankful for what comes to the bloodline of your
-
parents? Are you parents?
-
Thankfulness unholy, without natural effects and shoes
-
Breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce despises of
-
those that are good? What's despises of those that
-
are good? Man?
-
Why y'all do all that celebration man?
-
Now just the club. Why you despise those that are
-
celebrating, those that are joyful, those that are that
-
acknowledging the goodness of God, traitors, heady, high
-
minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God, having a
-
form of godliness but denying the power thereof is a power.
-
Ephesians says you need the power of God to understand the
-
love of God. Amen.
-
St. Corinthians 2 Timothy 4 says
-
this for the time is coming when people will not tolerate sound
-
and wholesome instructions, but having ears itchy for something
-
pleasing and gratifying. Why?
-
Because if the love of God won't satisfy you, nothing will.
-
You're looking for love in all the other places, all the wrong
-
places. You're trying to manufacture a
-
love that satisfies you, rather than introduce to the love that
-
God is. When I tolerate sound and
-
wholesome instructions, but having the ears itchy for
-
something pleasing, gratifying they would gather to themselves
-
1 teacher after another, to considerable number chosen to
-
satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold.
-
You are literally picking people to help you stay stupid.
-
You are picking people to help you stay stuck.
-
And how they amplifying your stuckness is the measure on
-
which you pick them. Now they don't say it that way.
-
How's it said? They understand me.
-
Their gifts speak to my gifts. So I'm only going to lift the
-
people who speak to my gifts rather than challenge me and
-
hold me accountable for my character.
-
Y'all got it? Let me do something really quick
-
here. So what's the point of going
-
through all of those scriptures is to set a scriptural
-
foundation for understanding the kinds and areas of deception is
-
trying to be perpetrated. Another Jesus, another gospel,
-
another Spirit, not the fullness of who he is, not the fullness
-
of the Spirit, not the fullness of the good news.
-
That is by faith and by grace stuff you got to add to it and
-
do to it the denominational. Oh, I'm sorry, I said the wrong
-
word. I think I did, didn't I?
-
Whatever my extra rules, I'm putting on it based on the group
-
I believe with. OK, that's one area of
-
deception. Then there's the deception of
-
the love of God that gets you to go cold in your love, walk with
-
people because now you're not looking.
-
You're looking for something that's going to entertain you or
-
something that's going to going to manufacture something inside
-
of you so you're willing to listen to false things and be
-
deceived more easily. You're looking for doctrine
-
that's going to fit what you already believe and what you
-
already want to do, not what God is saying, what God is telling.
-
These are some areas of deception, OK?
-
You need to understand it for the psychology, right?
-
Because if I'm trying to deceive you to do something, I got to
-
understand what actions I need you to take to enter into the
-
deception because. And that tells me how I need to
-
think, how I need to act, how I need to try to set you up,
-
right? So be so we're going to get more
-
into this, but we have to set up a little bit about the kind of
-
deception that we're going to see this happening.
-
Romans 5 says this. I'm going to back up.
-
If deception can separate you from love, it can also separate
-
you from God because God is love.
-
So I'm just giving you a capstone statement that talks
-
about what we read, the love of God, loving men growing cold,
-
right? Lovers of themselves and not
-
rather than lovers of God. If deception can separate you
-
from love, it can separate you from God because God is love.
-
Romans 57 says this. Let us love one another, for
-
love is from God, and he who loves his fellow man is begotten
-
of God and is coming progressively to know and
-
understand God, to perceive and recognize and get a better and
-
clearer knowledge of him. You want to know God better?
-
Love better. You want to know God better?
-
Forgive more so you can love better.
-
You want to know God better? Challenge yourself to love those
-
that don't love you. Challenge yourself to love those
-
that despitefully use you. Challenge yourself to love you
-
in the unlovable places of your own soul.
-
Love the way your nose looks rather than criticize how wide
-
it is. Love the way your curves work
-
rather than criticize how you don't fit this fashion or that
-
fashion. Love the fact that God called
-
you to do something that's not what not not a bro code or a bro
-
job. A finance job.
-
I've loved the fact God made you as a gift to do something
-
different. You want to grow in God, grow in
-
love. When you get to know Him better,
-
grow in love. He who does not love has not
-
become acquainted with God and does not and never did know Him.
-
For God is love. So the deception is trying to
-
separate you from love. Why?
-
It's separating you from love. I'm separating you from who?
-
So the temptation to not love is the temptation to separate you
-
from God. Understand the deception because
-
then you can understand the mindset.
-
The separate deception separates you from love by separating you
-
from the Holy Spirit, because your love comes by the Holy
-
Spirit. Romans 55 says this.
-
Such hope never disappoints or to lose or shames us for God's
-
love that's been poured out in our hearts through the Holy
-
Spirit. OK y'all, y'all tracking good,
-
good, good. Where are we going?
-
I don't know. I thought he was going there.
-
Romans 8 says this. For all who are led by the
-
Spirit of God are sons of God. For the Spirit which we have now
-
received, it's not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in
-
bondage to fear, but you have received the spirit of adoption.
-
The Spirit produces sonship in the bliss of which we cry.
-
ABBA, Father, the deception is to deceive you away from the
-
work of the Holy Spirit, because it's the Holy Spirit that comes
-
and puts in your heart the understanding that you are loved
-
puts in your heart the understanding of God's love.
-
He brings with him the power to know and receive and walk in
-
God's love. He brings in him with the power
-
to know this love. Why?
-
Because it's only through this love can you really understand
-
God as your Father. So the deception to deceive you
-
away from love, to deceive you away from God.
-
And part of the work of doing that is deceive you away from
-
the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit is the one that's
-
going to help you know this love, which means it helps you
-
walk in God. Amen.
-
So we see where the deception is coming at our love walk.
-
It's coming at our understanding of God as a father.
-
It's coming at our relationship with the Holy Spirit.
-
Romans 8 says this. The Spirit himself testifies
-
together with our own Spirit, assuring us that we are children
-
of God. It's the Holy Spirit that's
-
going to let you know that you're a child of God.
-
It's the Holy Spirit that's going to help you walk in the
-
identity of being a son or daughter of God.
-
And if you walk in as a son or daughter, you automatically are
-
connected to God's love. So the enemy's coming to deceive
-
you out of your sonship, coming to deceive you out of your being
-
a daughter of God. OK, How does he do that?
-
You ready? I'm just a Sinner saved by
-
grace. No, I'm a daughter of God.
-
I was. God never knew me as a Sinner,
-
He always knew me as a son. He said because I know you as a
-
son, I'm going to deal with the sin issue so we can walk
-
together. He never left me and saw me as a
-
Sinner. He always saw me as a son.
-
He seen me as a son is what moved him to give His greatest
-
sacrifice, His only begotten Son.
-
We are children of God, and if we are his children, then we are
-
heirs, also heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ.
-
Why do I highlight that one? To show you I am a son on the
-
same level as Jesus. Oh, oh, it's blasphemy.
-
Beware of deception, trying to deny you out of your identity as
-
a son. I didn't say I replaced Jesus.
-
I didn't say I could do what he's done.
-
He's the one that chose to make me a son on this level.
-
His my father chose me to make me a son on this level.
-
He it was his doing. And if he was his doing, who am
-
I to say different Deception. It's an ears to fit your own
-
comfort levels to fit your own errors, he said.
-
Remember we read that right. Here's an error.
-
I don't deserve that. I don't deserve prodigal son.
-
I don't deserve to be called go be in my house with my father.
-
I'll go back and be a servant and be a slave.
-
I don't deserve that. God, I know I'm a son, but I
-
know I don't deserve to be a son.
-
Error. Where's the error?
-
If I am buying a car and I'll pay $100 million for a 1980
-
pacer, don't worry about what it is, it's an old car.
-
OK, If I pay just for you, If I pay $100,000 for a 1980 pacer,
-
OK right. What's the car worth?
-
Why? So who decided it's worth the
-
one who purchased it? Not the one who sold it, Not the
-
critics who sit on the sideline. They're going to tell me you
-
overpay, you a fool. It ain't worth that.
-
No, it's worth what I decide it's worth.
-
So if God's decided to make you a son, you a son and you're
-
worthy worth, you're worthy to be a son.
-
Stop talking about how you're not worthy.
-
Stop talking about how you somehow God, I don't deserve it.
-
Error. It's my son right here.
-
He don't have to deserve to be in his son.
-
He just is. If he don't feel he's worthy, he
-
still is. My son.
-
He was. It was about positional birth.
-
He became my son, not by any kind of worth.
-
He became my son. My loving him is trying to
-
convey to him the worst from his birth.
-
Not to create a worth, but he didn't have at birth be watchful
-
about the deceptions. I'm an air.
-
I want a son at the same level as Jesus.
-
God, don't go Jesus big son John little son.
-
He sees me as the son and of the same ilk, same kind, because he
-
sees me in him Deception. Now I'm not listen, understand,
-
I'm trying to give you a sense of what the deception it looks
-
like. So now so then we can develop
-
the psychology of perception, right?
-
Because once you understand what it looks like and where it's
-
trying to take you, now you have a better sense of the mindset
-
that's required to get you there.
-
And the mindset that gets into that gets activated, that causes
-
people to be there and stay there.
-
That make sense. OK, so we're still, so we're
-
still on message here. So psychology is the meeting of
-
mindsets, psychology of deception.
-
Psychology is the meeting of mindsets.
-
It's what mindsets meet. Like dogs in the park when
-
mindsets meet, how you dog lovers get that.
-
Psychology is also a system that reinforces mindsets through
-
agency, truths, processes, and outcomes.
-
They want to put truth in code because the truth Erin quotes
-
because they are perceived to be truths whether they are or not.
-
OK, so psychology is a meeting of mindsets and it's a system
-
that continues to connect these mindsets.
-
That's any kind of psychology, not just psychology of
-
deception. And in order to reinforce the
-
mindset, you need agency, you need truth processes and
-
outcomes. Agency, truth processes and
-
outcomes. So what does that suggest to
-
you? Let's let's deal with the word
-
agency, OK? What does agency mean?
-
Your ability to you participate in it.
-
Don't be like it just happened to me, Adam said.
-
This woman you gave me, she deceived me.
-
God, no, bro, you had agency. No, you don't want.
-
You chose that. You didn't.
-
No, no, no. The woman you gave me got a show
-
fault. I had nothing to do with it.
-
No, no, no. Yes, you did, Adam.
-
You make the choice. That's what agency means.
-
I participate in it. Psychology requires you to
-
participate. Truth processes and outcomes.
-
So what does it suggest to you if I got four things is to
-
suggest to you that deception is a process suggestion.
-
Deception don't happen in 30 seconds.
-
Deception is something that starts here and through a long
-
course of events will keep you to a place means that there's a
-
continued giving yourself to a psychology or to deception.
-
Does that make sense? So you don't pop up as being
-
deceived one day. You've been on that road a long
-
time and you've been participating in the deception.
-
It's not Someone was just deceiving you.
-
It's like, I don't know what's happening.
-
I don't know what's happening. Then you wake up, I'm deceived.
-
No, no, no, no. It's like this.
-
People say, man, can you lose your can you lose your
-
salvation, Right. No, you can't.
-
No, it's not a question. No, you can't lose your
-
salvation. Here's the idea where losing
-
salvation is. What did I do with my salvation?
-
Did y'all see my salvation? It was just here.
-
I don't know what happened to it.
-
Remember, no agency. I don't know what happened to
-
it. I woke up.
-
Where did I put it? Anyone know where I left it?
-
You can't lose your salvation. You can turn your back on what
-
God has done. You can reject him for what he's
-
done. You can say, though, I've owed
-
it, I don't want it. I may be an heir to the throne,
-
but I renounce the throne because I want to live a common
-
life. You can do all of that now, but
-
you can't. Just like, oh man, my goodness,
-
I, I lost myself. It happened.
-
I didn't even know what happened.
-
Deception is a participative process that occurs over time.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
If I can get your mindset, I can get everything that flows from
-
it. Psychology is trying to meet
-
mindsets. Psychology deception, it's
-
trying to connect mindsets around deception.
-
So if I can get your mindset, I get everything that proceeds
-
from it. If I can get how you think, I
-
can get everything you think about and everything these poses
-
think about. If I can get your bloodline, I
-
can get your life. I can get your eternity.
-
If I can get your mindset, does that make sense?
-
Proverbs 23 seven says this. For as a man thinks in his
-
heart, so is he. It's the scripture foundation
-
for understanding. If I get your mindset, I get
-
everything. Proverbs 423 says this.
-
Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance and above all that
-
you guard, for out of it will flow the springs of life.
-
Life flows from your inmost being.
-
If I can get your heart, if I can get your mindset, if I can
-
get your thinking on the inside and corrupt that I don't need to
-
be around you all the time. The devil ain't around you.
-
He just got your mindset corrupted.
-
So now you're walking crooked because you think crooked.
-
You see crooked, you perceive crooked.
-
He ain't got to be around If I can get your mindset, got it.
-
So understand the psychology is about a mindset and the mindsets
-
are about getting everything related to your life.
-
The deception or the deceiver does not 'cause the deception,
-
it merely exposes it. So when someone says I was
-
deceived, suggesting that it was all that deceiver's fault,
-
that's not accurate. The only way deception works is
-
if I'm already deceived. Deception exposes the fact that
-
I'm already deceived. I come to the party already
-
drunk, so it's not the drink I have at the party that puts me
-
over the edge. OK, it's important to recognize
-
that because then what you understand is you get a
-
responsibility to see what areas in your life how have you
-
deceived yourself. An enemy's ability to deceive
-
you begins with your deceiving yourself first.
-
Once you give yourself, once you deceive yourself, now you've
-
created a place for other deception to enter in James one
-
says this verse 13. Let no one say when he is
-
tempted. I am tempted from God, for God
-
is incapable of being tempted by what is evil, and he himself
-
tempts no one. But every person is tempted when
-
he's drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desires.
-
Temptation don't happen from the outside, it capitalizes on your
-
corruption. On the inside, you already got
-
the evil desire. Temptation exposes it that it
-
created. You've already meditated on that
-
desire. You've already thought about
-
some things. Man, I just, man, I know I'm
-
saved, you know? But if I wasn't saved, you know,
-
whatever it is, if I wasn't saved, man, I take that job,
-
even though I know it's not kind of what God meant if I wasn't
-
saved, but I'm saved though. But you just meditated on a
-
desire that's apart from what God is trying to get in your
-
life. You got it.
-
It begins on the inside. It's already there, say, already
-
there, and that's where. And that's why deception is so
-
powerful. It hooks from something that's
-
already inside. Verse 16 says so do not be
-
misled, my beloved brethren. The desire on the inside
-
conceives and then gives birth to sin, and then sin brings
-
forth death, right? Deception doesn't automatically
-
lead to death, and that's part of the problem.
-
Because you haven't died, you don't think you're not.
-
You don't think you're deceived because you haven't paid the
-
ultimate price, because of God's mercy.
-
You don't believe you're deceived.
-
You believe everybody else got it wrong.
-
And anybody that's holding you accountable telling you that
-
those that that life that way, that perspective is leading to
-
death. You don't trust me.
-
You don't believe me. Why?
-
I've been living this way 15 years.
-
I ain't there yet. The mercy of God, you mistake
-
that and believe that there is no consequence for walking
-
disconnected with God. So do not be misled.
-
My beloved brethren, I want to, I want to get into this portion
-
here just a little bit because I want to tease you to come back.
-
I want to encourage you to come back.
-
Deception is not an error, mistake, being tricked, or being
-
lost. You have to know what deception
-
is. It's not an error, it's not a
-
mistake, it's not being tricked or it's not being lost.
-
OK. An error suggests a factual
-
incorrectness. I made.
-
There was an incorrect fact that I had.
-
That's what an error is, a factual incorrectness.
-
A mistake suggests a judgement incorrectness.
-
I had all the facts, but my judgement was off.
-
OK, I'm going to use athletics. I like football, so I'm a
-
quarterback and I'm throwing the ball.
-
An error is I need to throw it to the team who wears the other
-
color. Jersey.
-
That's a factual no, no, our jerseys.
-
OK, that's a error. A mistake is I was throwing the
-
ball and I thought I could throw it past that guy and I tried to
-
throw it. I thought I could get it in
-
there before he came and got it, but he was faster and I made a
-
mistake. In my judgement.
-
It wasn't. I didn't know not to throw it to
-
the guy in the other color jersey.
-
It's just that I thought I could get it past him.
-
That's what a mistake is. It's judgement, incorrectness.
-
Being tricked is a temporary mistake in judgement based on
-
partial truths that's connected to the actions of others.
-
Being tricked is a temporary mistaken judgement.
-
So you say I was tricked. That's not being deceived.
-
It's like I looked at some things and I thought the outcome
-
should work here. Ah, you got me.
-
Magician is that way. OK?
-
Hey, you see this in my hand and they have movement over here.
-
You got it. They're they're distracting you
-
in some ways, right, But you know that a woman can't be cut
-
in half and then like body spread apart and come back and
-
be like, see, it's like I never was cut in half.
-
We we know that don't happen, right.
-
But there's something about how it played out that caught me
-
that that kind of had a part truth because we didn't make a
-
mistake in my judgement. That's being tricked.
-
OK, being lost and I'm going to end here.
-
It's a recognition of an extended error or mistake based
-
on partial truths after being confronted with the full truth.
-
See, being lost is not a function.
-
The only way you know you're lost is if you really come to
-
understand what the truth is. If you don't know, if you don't
-
know that the place you're trying to get to don't exist,
-
you're not lost. It's only when you go, oh, I'm
-
trying to get there and they don't exist, I'm lost.
-
Lost is the recognition I've been in an extended error.
-
I've been driving the last 15 kilometers thinking I was going
-
the right direction, an extended error or mistake.
-
But I'm recognizing now the truth right after being
-
confronted with full revelation. I was supposed to be there 10
-
minutes ago, but I'm still not there.
-
Truth and revelation. That's what being lost is.
-
Deception is not error, mistake, not being tricked or being lost.
-
So what is deception? Deception is what we're going to
-
pick up at the next experience. OK, but what's the purpose of
-
all of this? The purpose of all of this is to
-
have you understand that deception is not something that
-
happens upon you. It's something that you
-
participate in willingly over the course of time.
-
And you continue to participate in it because it's serving a
-
selfish purpose of giving you what you want, the way you want
-
it, without accountability. Allowing you to walk in the way
-
you want to walk, please, in your own self, not having to
-
love others or forgive others or be accountable to anybody else.
-
Perception is the meal you make for yourself.
-
It's the bed that you make. It's not a bed someone makes for
-
you, put you in it. Don't happen in a moment on the
-
instance, it happens that you track with it.
-
Hey man, come back because it gets better.
-
