Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International

you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get

some tea, and get ready to receive.

It's go time. Let's get into it.

Because I was preparing for today.

Well, I would wouldn't say I was preparing, but when I was in a

certain space this week and the Lord dropped, I feel in my

spirit something that should radically change us today.

Then I thought about, oh crap, it's Mother's Day Sunday.

I should be preparing a Mother's Day message, something empower

moms, but I should be preparing a word that's going to change

everybody. And today for me is, is the it's

it is and it's going to be a significant day because I choose

to let this word change my life today.

But I I also chose it when he gave it to me.

It's just you guys have the choice just today.

I've had to sit with this for a few days, But when I do think

about moms, this message, this message has the nature of, of,

of a, of a for real mom. And it's not that men don't have

it, it's just that men choose not to because the world and

culture has robbed men from the world hasn't robbed men from

being emotional, but it has robbed us of showing healthy

emotions from a place of needing God or else.

Today's message, my prayer from from the bottom of my heart is

that there's something that happens deep in our souls

because I, I know we all need it.

And what I've come to figure out is there's, there's no way to

really walk with God or understand God's heart without a

life of vulnerability. And the world is not made for us

to be vulnerable in a healthy manner.

The world is not made for men to cry out to God.

I, I, I, I saw something this week and maybe it's just because

where I'm at in my life, but I saw something this week that's

it's all through the Bible. But we don't really present it

the way that I think God wants to present it today.

But there's no Davidic people without a cry.

You were born crying when you wanted to get your parents

attention. All you could do was cry.

But as we get older, we have lost the cry for God.

We emotional, we know how to be angry, we know how to tell you

we ticked off. We know how to be dramatic.

We know how to be messy. We know how to complain, we know

how to gossip. We know how.

But man, why in other parts of the world do we see revival

sustained? And I believe that I.

See something that's in scripture that even God is talk

is is crying out for. But here's the challenge.

You only see this level of intense passion for God where

there's trauma or catastrophe or extreme poverty where I only

have God or else but we have a bougie relationship with God, a

bougie prayer life, a bougie pray.

It's like to get you to raise your hands.

It it it it's the desperation lifts your hands.

Not a worship leader. War, death, tragedy, loss, pain,

heartbreak, calamity and hardship has been the means of

our cry outs. We look overseas and we see why.

There's sustained revival, miracles, signs, wonders, cities

changed, cultures transformed, kingdoms turned over and God's

Kingdom established. There's a cry out.

There's not mere crying. There's not mere sadness,

there's not mere frustration, there's not mere anger, but

there's a cry out from man's soul that God and all of heaven

cannot ignore. We cry because we're going

through something. They have nothing.

They cry out and it's translated to joy.

We have lost the art of crying out because we cry about

anything and everything that can't go our way, won't go our

way or in our timing. Any amount of adversity we are

thrown off, any amount of challenge we are offended.

Any amount of persecution we faint and any amount of

discomfort we cower away. We cry from entitlement, we

throw fits of pride, we flail in ignorance.

We are busy in fear. Our souls are crying for

something that we cannot articulate.

So we mask our longing for God with performances and offerings,

hoping that God would see us. God would move.

Hopefully he hears us. And just in case He doesn't, I

have security in my children, my job, my bank, bank account, my

plans, my resources and my connections.

Our soul is actually yearning for something deeper, something

richer, something more sustainable, but something that

can only be obtained through a deep, intimate, uninterrupted

walk with God. That can only be sustained

through a deep longing and evolving revelation of the

Father's love, as well as a daily desperation that is

produced by heavenly realization of our need for Him.

The lack of crying out has LED us to great and severe measures

of mental health issues. The lack of crying out has LED

us to great and severe measures of pride and disease and crime

and unhealthy habits, isolation, offense, orphan spirit.

And we've replaced crying out with drugs and alcohol, porn,

therapy, gossip, education and Mammon.

The issue is not do we cry? The issue is who we do we cry

out? Do who do we cry to?

A part of today's mental illness attack is because we don't cry

out. A part of dysfunctional marriage

is because we don't cry out. A part of today's crime increase

is because we don't cry out. And that's why there's this move

and we got, and the world has given us language for mental

illness, but not a, a, a, a, a way of crying out to God.

It's talk to therapists and tell them what's wrong.

So we grow in coping mechanisms and we grow in modified

behavior, but we don't grow in intimacy with God.

So the world is going to give you tools and God is giving you

a life of victory. The enemy understands the time

we're in, so he wants to rob your cry out to God and replace

it with artificial sustainability.

So if I just get a husband, if I just get kids, I'll be happy.

If I could just pop these pills, I can.

The cry of the fear of God. It's like I can't go without you

no more Lord. I can't live without you.

I can't love without you. I can't stand without you.

I can't believe without you. I can't decide without you.

I can't build without you. I can't parent without you.

I can't lead without you. I just can't period without you.

Not another day, not another hour.

Without you, I surrender all song.

It's this. I can't without you.

Today's conversation. God is trying to dig deep and I

know he may only be able to get to a few people, but I'm telling

you, it's not too late. Our praise is controlled.

We only go so far, and here it is.

I grew up where people had cry out, but ignorance, but they had

cry out. There was not one dead Sunday.

There was no scheduling serving. Everybody served every week at

the same post for years. And you go back to that church

right now and the usher, he might, he should sit down.

He's 90 years old, but he's still ushering.

But today it's like I'm, I don't, I don't got time to

serve. I'm yeah, I'm not this week.

But I'm talking about people. I was talking to my wife about

this. I'm talking about Grandmama's

grandpas and parents who had full time jobs.

I'm talking about big labor. And they're at church all day

Sunday and they're there on Wednesday and that rehearsal

Tuesday and Saturday. And that choirs and ushers

program on Friday. And they worked every day.

And you did not come to church without seeing people come to

church in their uniforms from work.

But today, church is where I go. And they better feed me

something. They better have me a word.

They better sing my favorite song.

They better end when I need them to end.

Where has the revelation of God? I need thee they they weren't

serving every week because they had to, but they had a

revelation of God. You brought me from a mighty

long way, God, if I don't build your church, my grandson, my

granddaughter, my my kids won't have a place when I'm dead and

gone. They won't know how to serve

you. Where?

Is that generation where is that cry Where is that revelation of

I come on Sunday. I got to serve because for God

so loved the world that he gave his only son to serve me and I

get it. There's entrepreneurs man you

there's servant is not just in the building, but the

disappearing acts and the the the self entitlement of the body

of Christ is sickening in the nostrils of God when he's done

so much for us and we still complain.

My man man, man we there was generations grow up in my

church. We argued, we fought, we didn't

like each other at times. Man, where's that day Now it's

all I'll find another place to go.

I just serve online. I it's like man, the roots of

that is your soul does not cry out for God.

He is easily replaced and you say you doing it all for the

Kingdom, but it all starts in his house.

Today's message is cry out. The Father is listening.

I could not stop weeping for the last several days for the heart

of God and for His church. Ohio.

And it wasn't emotional. It wasn't it wasn't like

complaining. It was like when you get to a

place where God can share His heart with you and you're

willing to carry it. Here we go.

It's all in the Bible. Somebody shout out, it's all in

the Bible. As as as each night watch

begins. Get up and cry out in prayer.

Pour your heart out face to face with the Master.

Lift high your hands beg for the lives of your children who are

starving the death out on the streets.

It's not, it's not, it's it's not this.

Just lift your hands like Lord, here I am.

It's this Lord like a child lifts their hands to their

father or their mother and say, pick me up.

I need thee Bible, get up. And what?

Come on, get up. And what?

Pour your heart out, EJ Our prayers, man.

I grew up hearing prayers where the room was shaking and and it

was and and and and it had some fervor and some passion and it

had some urgency in every prayer.

Ain't never heard my grandmama, my Mama, my uncles.

No Deacon cry or pray without some fervor.

Where's those prayers? Our cute little prayers, Father.

In the name of Jesus, Lord, we thank you.

And that's fine. But I'm telling you, there's a

depth that we will never experience on earth without a

depth, without you being vulnerable.

And here it is. Here's the problem.

The people that pray with passion are Pentecostal or they

are charismatic or they are people of color, or they are a

certain type of group, versus seeing in the Bible that this

cry out and this fervor and passion is what has moved heaven

over and over and over and over again.

You want to know why we don't see revival?

Because we don't cry out. You want to know why it's over

there? It's because they cry out.

But what I see in the word of God is we do not have to get in

extreme circumstances to cry out.

We don't have to be poor to cry out.

Your child don't have to die to cry out.

You don't have to have cancer to cry out.

Psalm 42 here I am. If you going to be a Davidic

people, you want to know why God says that's a man?

After my own heart. Here I am, depressed and

downcast, yet I will still remember you as I ponder the

place where you're you know, here it is, here it is, here it

is. Here's why I don't have to be at

the bottom to cry out, because I've learned the skill of

pondering His goodness. I am moved by what He has done,

not having to God to allow me to fall again so I can cry out

again. Yet, yet, yet, I will still

remember you as I ponder the place where your glory streams

down from the mighty mountain tops, lofty and majestic, the

mountains of your awesome presence.

Here it is. My deep need calls out, or in

other words, cry out to the deep kindness of your love.

Your waterfall of weeping sent waves of sorrow over my soul,

carrying me away, cascading over me like a thundering cataract.

Here's the world is meant to callous you.

We're so busy. We have so many goals.

We're so trying to be inspirational.

We got so many albums, so many books, so many wives, so much

fun, so much travel to do. And before you know it, we're so

busy and so desperate to be successful that we have lost

intimacy with our Creator. And we wonder why we have to

strive to see breakthrough versus live and breakthrough and

be the breakthrough. Because breakthrough is on me.

Breakthrough is in me. When people cry out, you don't

got to beg people to give and to serve.

It's because a cry out is birthed from an intimacy with

God. God, I need you.

God, I long for you, whatever it may be.

God, I will do it. I will go, I will say it.

So afraid of people. We can't cry out.

Now pastors and leaders are falling by the wayside because

they're the ones crying to get you to cry.

And they're having counseling meetings with you to stop your

tears. But a lot of your tears come

from a lack of intimacy with God.

Your heart keeps getting broken because you won't break.

Let your heart be broken for God, my deep knee, He calls out

to the deep kindness of your love.

Your waterfall of weeping sent waves over.

My soul goes on. And he says all through the day,

Yahweh has commanded His endless love to pour over me while I'm

going to my career job. All through the day when I feel

like all hope is gone. All through the day He's

commanded his endless love pour over me.

Through the night I sing through the night.

My soul is crying out his songs and my praises to the living

God. When we hear the deep to deep,

it's an emphasis on the great depth and significance of a need

and a hunger and a thirst for God the Father.

A need, a desperation deep. Crying out too deep is spiritual

engagement. It's not a passive act.

It requires a deep engagement with one's emotions and faith

breaking through passivity and fear.

And then we look at somebody that's dancing.

It's like, oh, that's their culture now, silly you sound.

Oh, someone is screaming, crying out to the Lord.

That's just not my personality, but it's his nature.

What would a house look like? And what would the body of

Christ look like if every time we gathered there was a crying

out, not a showing up of arrogance?

And oh, I'm coming to get a word for me today.

I hope it helps me. And then walk out of here with

no type of desperation. Why is it only a tenth of the

room falling on their faces? You can't tell me that God has

not done something to you and for you that should not 'cause

you with revelation to fall on your face.

Because He's holy, because he's good, because He's faithful.

No matter how prideful you've been, he still loves you.

He's forgiven you. No matter how nasty you've been,

he still loved you. This bougie approach to God will

not work. Not in the depths of darkness

we're entering. It's not a passive act requires

deep engagement with one's emotions and one's faith

breaking through passivity and fears whole lot of passivity and

worship services. We just sit here and we we read

the lyrics and the Angel where the lyrics at.

We put the and the Angel saying. Holy.

All creation. And we've created a space for

you to easily approach God. How dare us not have screens for

you to read? And the whole point of praise

and worship is for you to pursue Him, not read about Him and

watch others who long for Him. This cry out can release

spiritual breakthrough like never before and createspace for

God's presence. The cry out benefits beyond

deliverance. While seeking deliverance is a

common reason for crying out, other benefits include guidance

and understanding and knowing. God better and strengthening

your soul. This isn't about crying out for

a new house, a new car. This is not about crying out.

Lord, bring in the money for the worship center.

It's like while I'm waiting, God, I need you, You're enough.

It's just when is God going to be enough?

Every day we're crying out for Him to do something and he's

just not enough. When is your Savior enough?

Before the man show up? Before the woman show up?

Before the building is done? Before the permits are handed

over? When is God going to be enough?

Is it going to take losing a loved one?

Is it going to take your child drowning?

What's going to take for you to cry out to the Lord and say God

you are all I need? Why does trauma and catastrophe

have to be the only time we get desperate?

Why do we have to walk up to our house burning down to say God,

I'm not going, I don't know what to do when they walk out on you.

Why? That's when God help my soul.

Why isn't it just your daily bread to need God?

We're waiting for callbacks. We're waiting for confirmation.

Is this my spouse? Why are we bombarding heaven for

confirmation? For things that when we die, we

won't need them? God won't need them.

They have no use in heaven. But every day, the stuff we're

waiting on, we're not waiting for God.

We're waiting for the hand of God, not waiting for the heart

of God. Reason why pop culture so

attractive is because they desperately want the world.

They desperately want them bands that money, they desperately

want that women, they desperately want to party and

they sell it from desperation. And our children are following

desperation because if you ain't desperate about it, it is not

going to compel me to want it. If our main business is so

winning, then you tell me why a fisherman is going to sit on the

water all night, all day long for some fish because they're

desperate for a catch. And then we're frustrated with

God because he don't come through for the thing.

The thing. God is here, but the thing

ain't. His presence is here, but the

thing ain't. His goodness is here, but the

job ain't, the building ain't, the money ain't, the spouse

ain't so you mean God can't get your best praise without

something wrong or your prayer of a thing answered.

He can't get your best praise before you get sick.

Look at this. He said to her, give me your

son. This woman bless the man of God,

her sons end up, her son ends up jethly sick.

She's crying out, what, what, what have you done?

And the man of God shows up and he says, God, what?

This woman blessed me, Why, Why her son?

He said to her, give me your son.

And he took him from her bosom and carried him up into the

chamber where he stayed and laid him upon his own bed.

And Elijah cried to the Lord, Look, this wasn't his son.

When you going to cry about somebody else's child being

lost? Elijah cried to the Lord and

said, Oh Lord my God, have you brought further calamity up on

this widow with whom I soldier? By slaying her son.

And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried

to the Lord, and said, Oh Lord my God, I pray you, let this

child's soul come back into him. And the Lord heard the voice of

Elijah, and the soul of the child came into him again, and

he revived. Man, I don't get, we don't got

enough energy. We ain't got enough time to cry

out. We don't got enough time to

tarry. We ain't got enough time.

We got to go, ain't got time to go to church every day.

I don't got time to go to prayer meeting.

I got stuff to do. Watch this The heartfelt and

persistent prayer of a righteous man is able to accomplish much

when put into action and made effective by God.

It is dynamic and can have tremendous power.

Watch this next scripture in James.

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, with the same

physical, mental and spiritual limitations and shortcomings,

and he prayed intensely. For it not to rain.

And it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months

where tremendous power is released through the passionate,

heartfelt prayer, passionate, heartfelt prayer, passionate,

heartfelt prayer of a godly believer.

This, this is not a saying, a quick little prayer that we say

on some like, Lord, I can do all things through Christ who

strengthens me. That's cool.

Keep the word in your mouth, man.

When's the last time you've been on your knees crying out for

your city, crying out for your Mama, crying out for your

health, not crying because you're not healthy, but crying

unto the God that Lord, I'll stay sick.

But if I got you, I can make it. Lord, I'm gonna count it all

joy, because when you are with me, greater is he that is in me

than he that's in the world. I'm not crying because poor me.

I'm crying because God, I need thee.

I need you in this. I'll walk through the valley.

I'll tell it on the mountain, I'll raise this child, but not

without you. What I'm crying out for is you,

God, because the situation can change, but there's going to be

another situation down the road. You can give me back this

person, but there's going to be another person that leaves me.

What you going to do when the next person leave you?

What you going to do when the next person pass away?

What you going to do with the next doctor's report?

What you going to do when you get old age?

What you going to do when that just unfortunate news come?

The. Cry out is how I enter trauma.

It's how I enter bad news. My cry out is not a response to

bad news. My cry out is my.

Posture bad news encounters a cry out, it doesn't cause one.

Elijah said. Elijah was a man with human

frailties, just like all of us. But he prayed, and he received.

Supernatural answers. The fuel of our cry shouldn't be

based on our needs, but should be generated by the passion of

the Father's desires. Crying out to God is a pervent

petition, often done aloud. Let me help you.

Aloud has nothing to do with how you were raised or the color

your skin or a denominator. Aloud is not a denomination.

Aloud is not Pentecostal, right? When all of us were children, it

wasn't like, oh, I'm a Caucasian baby, I don't cry aloud.

But when we were all innocent and our minds was unstained by

the affairs of this world, without even having to be

prompted when we need Mama and daddy, we cried out.

Sometimes we cried just so they hold our hands.

I remember Malia came out of her mama's womb and she cried and I

talked to her through the womb. I put I was writing music during

her the pregnancy and I would put my headphones on Julia's

belly. So today Malia remember songs

that I wrote that I don't remember, but I talked to her

when she came out, she was crying and.

Then I just said, hey, baby couldn't see, you know, baby's

eyes all over the place. My sheep hear my voice.

We so we, so we so distracted. We don't know God's voice.

So we got to go to conferences, how to hear from God.

We got books on our shelf, how to hear from God.

But when you walk with them, even when you just feel a little

anxious, all you need is, hey, sweetie, I'm here.

It wasn't the words, it was the sonics.

It was the presence crying out to God.

It's done. Aloud.

It's a powerful way to engage with God, especially in times of

distress. Here it is.

Or when seeking guidance. Can you just cry out when you

just need clarity? Most of the time you hear people

crying out is because of pain. Oh my God, I just need wisdom.

So I'm crying out for direction. I'm singing this song for

direction. My house is good, my children

healthy, my life is good. I'm blessed beyond measure.

But I just need a little clarity.

So here I am, Lord. It's not like Lord, when you're

ready, just going to drop that wisdom on me whenever you're

ready. I got time because my life is

good. So I don't necessarily need the

wisdom, but I need the wisdom. So whenever you're ready, just

drop it on me. But boy, let you get some bad

news calling people. Hey, pray with me.

What happens when somebody get bad news A lot of times like

depending on who it is but man your nervous system breaks down

to a point where you fall to the ground, you faint by news.

Sometimes even unconfirmed. News.

You feel your life leaving you when you get bad news or someone

close to you or something, something bad, something

happens. You just give out.

All strength leaves you. Your nervous system is attacked

because it's not familiar with that level of engagement.

But when I posture myself in a lifestyle of God, I need you, my

response is not a faint my response soon as I get in bad

news, it might be Father in my strength.

Lord God, I know you're able. Some of us faint over bad news,

like I'm sorry to tell you, you did not get the role.

I'm sorry to tell you we decided to go another way for this job

position. What?

Oh, I'm, I'm sorry. I, I, I didn't fell out of love

with you and I don't want to be with you anymore.

Sorry, our budget can't afford you.

We got to fire you, although you're great.

Like we love you here, but we can't afford you here.

The stuff we faint over, the stuff we give up over, the stuff

we quit over, over, over there. They walked five hours for

church and then they'll bring a bucket of water back on their

head to feed children. That's malnourished.

We complaining? Oh, that's too far.

It's, it's traffic. It's huh.

And you want revival in your family?

Man, the price for revival is mighty.

Man, and guess what? I got to be done in a few

minutes because got to let this service out so the other people

can come in because we got to go and people on schedules, yes.

This, this cry out and I'm telling you now, here you go

here. Challenge.

Oh, it's going to be Part 2 because we ain't got time, but

your response time is going to be on you.

But later we going to really respond.

Man, I haven't heard of a revival that didn't interrupt

plans. You don't want, you don't want

it. You don't want it.

We don't want it. Vancouver Midweek.

Service. Huh.

Now I got, I got stuff to do on Wednesday.

I'm I'm, I'm, I'm like, maybe I'm in trouble.

I was here, I heard Kevin Garnett the other day.

He was talking about because he was one of the youngsters that,

that that got, got some of the old school basketball guys and

he he, he was on that. Crossover where the new age was

coming up. He was talking about the

difference in the locker rooms between the Ogs and the young

people. And you look at basketball

today, the game changing, you know, ah, you file and you get

you get a back, then they'll fight and then I get it.

Some of you just can't punch me and then not get penalized for

it. But at the same time, the the

difference between the old St. and today's St. humongous

difference, the hunger, the the willing to come out and play

like this. Does it mean that that's the

best? Mike, don't forget we're talking

about basketball. But but but the willing for Kobe

to tape up a broken finger or go to the sideline like this and

they pop his shoulder back in and he'd get back in the game.

Or the willingness to walk up to the free throw line with a, with

a, with a, with a season ending injury.

And like, I'm going to shoot this free throw and I'm going to

walk myself off the, the guts and the, the, the, the, the,

the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the, the grits of the old

St. See the difference between

basketball and the church is God stays the same.

So what he's the scriptures haven't changed from age to age.

Our approach to God remains the same.

So we might have added TV's, but our approach to God remains the

same. This, this signifies this, this

crying out is an act that signifies dependence and trust

and the recognition of God's power.

And it it can. Lead to significant spiritual

growth and a deeper connection with God.

Man, these last few days, man, they hit my spirit of grandma

and moms and my aunties and uncles.

And it wasn't just church, man. We'd be driving in the car and

they got to pull over, not merely because the Holy Ghost

hit them, but because Revelation hit them and they have to pull

over to give them praise. And even grandma will be washing

the dishes and Mom will be washing the dishes and you hear

them crying out and then put the towel over their shoulder.

And then at some point they move from the sink and end up

somewhere in the house on their face.

And as a kid, you're like, what's wrong?

They got fool me in the house like this.

Something happened. And all you would hear is man,

God's God. If that's the only reason I cry

out is because he gave me another we throw tantrums over.

What? Put that energy towards crying

out to God. Somebody don't get you

attention. It signifies dependence.

Watch this, watch this, watch this, watch this some.

In my distress I cried out to you, the delivering God, And

from your temple throne you heard my troubled cry, and my

sobs went right into your heart. Sometimes you wonder why it's

taking so long to breakthrough. You know when you want something

bad enough, the holding out produces desperation, not a

tantrum, not a giving up on God. Because the question ain't if

he's if he if he could do it or if he did it, or if provision is

there is yes and Amen. The length of my weight speaks

to his longing for me. You've made it about him not

longing for what you want, but you put what you want before

what he wants. And he wants you more than you

want the job and you want the spouse.

He wants you more than you than the healing.

He he. He understands that there are

some things he because. Because at the end of the story,

you won't end up sick, but somehow that sickness got you

longing for him. So the temporary, this is how

Paul's mind was somehow insane because he says I'm going to

write these love letters in prison because I know prison is

not where I'm going to end up. So I can write these letters in

chains. God got those letters from

chained hands. And you wonder why God ain't in

a rush to get them chains off your wrist.

Because maybe it's where the chains are.

It's where you and God finally got some intimacy and the

problem is is when the chains come off, can you stay as

desperate? North American prayer life is

filled up with requests for mammon.

Not just hear a father just like.

Man, am I enough see Jesus on the cross?

Like is this enough? How is my blood enough for your

sins to be cleaned, but it's not enough for you to be happy?

How have I freed you from eternal death, but I can't free

you from one day of rejection? It ain't going your way.

But what if when it ain't going your way is going my way?

The joy of the Lord is my strength.

So what I tap into is that when it ain't going my way is.

This. Moment bringing God joy.

Although it's bringing me some anxiety, the anxiety is not

what's bringing God joy, but what's bringing God joy as this

child finally needs them. Now.

All we ask, God, fix this, fix that.

God, you take him around your little house and say, Lord, tape

that up for me. Lord, can you fix that for me?

Lord, can you bring this money through for me?

Lord, bring me a husband, Lord. Lord, give me this building

permit. Lord, can you bless this book?

Lord, can you breathe on this album?

And this whole time he's like, what about me and you?

I created you for me. In the beginning you needed

nothing but me. In my distress, I cried out to

you, the delivering God. From your temple throne, you

heard my troubled cry, and my sobs went right into your heart.

See, men, how much would this world be changed if men knew how

to cry out? Not.

This is not the emotional part. This is this is not what I'm

talking about. This is not oh, I'm angry and

I'm gonna let you have it. This is like, Lord, I surrender

all to you. I lay my family down.

I lay my finances down. I'm coming to you for my needs,

but my needs start with you. I want to desire what you

desire. I don't want to waste no time

desiring my desires that you don't desire.

I told the worship team yesterday, what if you're

desiring stuff God says He don't need for you and him, but he

blesses you with your desires because he's a good father.

But he's saying I don't need you to have that to be what I've

called you to be. You don't need that spouse to be

what I've called you to be. You don't need that bank

account. You don't need all that money to

be. You don't need to go to Italy to

have the rest I designed for you.

And there's this long list of things that we think we need.

And God's like, sure, that's not sin if you think that's going to

make you happy here. But I don't need you to have

that to live the fulfilled life that I have for you.

I, I don't need you to have that for you to be what I've called

you to be. I don't need you to have that.

But because it's not evil, it's not sinful.

You, you kind of delight in me. Hey, man, they, they, they, they

wanted a king. They want, they wanted

Israelites. They wanted this.

They didn't want what God wanted for them, but they wanted what

they wanted. And what did God do here?

And the very thing they desired pulled them away from God.

And This is why he says, if you delighted me, he's so slick.

Because when you delight in him, you automatically want what he

desires. Delight in him doesn't mean sing

songs, it mean actually preference Him.

And when you preference him, you begin to want what he desires

and boom, of course he's going to give it to you because it's

what He desires. Some of you are waiting on stuff

that God don't even desire for you.

He's not moved by that prayer request because he's like I, I,

I can wait because what I desire is this time I'm getting from

you. But when this thing show up, I

know it might pull you away. Oh, you too busy now that's

here. This is Bible.

He went and said go compel them and one after another.

Oh, I just got married. I got a tend to this.

Oh, I just built the house I got.

Oh, I just got some new cattle. I don't got time and we are in a

time where God is inviting His bride, His sons and daughters

home. But guess what?

Some of us. I ain't got time.

I got a couple of hours on Sunday.

Oh yeah, I listen to my devotional and I got a

relationship with God. But the Bible tells the Bible,

not PT. The Bible says in these last

days, one of the most important things you could do is come to

the House of the Lord. Please say 30 circle Psalm 34.

Yet when holy lovers of God cry out, Annabeth, when holy lovers

of of God cry out to him with all their hearts, the Lord will

hear them and come to rescue them.

From. All their troubles, if you ever

had a kid and you're trying to wean them from gumming into your

bed, you just let them cry and then and then you got some

babies that don't stop crying and then they hit this register

that's like, Oh, I just that just it hit my heart different.

At first you was just whining. Now you crying out, when you

going to stop whining and just start crying out?

And, and sometimes I think God graces us to whine long enough

to now all we want is him. I'm so tired of crying because I

just want you in the room with me.

No God, I want to be in the room with you.

Big difference. Lord, come to my bedroom.

No, God's like come to my throne room.

Who's doing the inviting here when that sinner's blood cried

out from the street? He responded with his son, Oh my

God, got to keep crying out for you.

Yet when holy lovers of God, he said, the Lord will hear them

and come to their rescue and rescue them from all their

troubles. Psalm 69.

God, my God. Oh that, that's a cry right

there. Come and save me.

These, these floods of trouble have risen higher and higher.

The water is up to my neck. I'm sinking into the mud with no

place to stand. And I'm about to drown in this

storm. I pray you can hear.

I pray you can hear the tone, the cry, the heart.

I'm weary. I'm exhausted with weeping.

My throat is dry. I've been weeping so much.

My voice is gone. My eyes are swollen with sorrow.

And I'm waiting for you. He didn't say I'm waiting for

it. Who was he waiting for?

Paul cried out for this throne, this thorn to leave his side.

And the cry didn't take the thorn out.

The cry gave him a revelation that produced a contentment to

keep the thorn in his side. And I'm waiting for you, God, to

come through for me. Watch this.

Psalm 51 is one of the most powerful scriptures in the book.

God, give me mercy from your fountain of forgiveness.

I know Your abundant love is enough to wash away my guilt

because your compassion is so great.

Take away this shameful guilt of sin.

Forgive the full extent of my rebellious ways and erase them

with deep stain. Erase this deep stain.

On my conscience I am so ashamed.

I feel such. Pain.

I feel such anguish within me. Can't get away from the sting of

God, he understands what's going on around him, but he's hoping

what goes on around him doesn't separate he and God.

He's in more pain for how what he's doing and what he's been

through and what he's going through and the sins he's

committed, how it's hurt his relationship.

But you saw it all against you. You above all.

Have I sinned? Some of you think sin is like.

Everything you say to me is infallibly true, and your

judgement conquers me. Lord, I have been a Sinner from

birth, from the moment my mother conceived me.

I know that you delight to set your truth deep in my spirit.

So come into the hidden places of my heart and teach me wisdom.

Purify my conscience. Make this leper clean again.

He's not talking about his skin, he's talking about his soul,

Right. We we we throw on all kind of

clothes on our soul when we come.

on the surface and we blame it on trust issues.

It is my silent offense. The offense that's in the in the

Breakthrough Satisfy me with your goodness and my song of joy

will return, he says. Revival with this revelation and

this washing of knowing your goodness, my song of joy will.

Return. And we're trying to make joy

return by accomplishments. My song of joy will return to

places. Here it is, the places you have

crushed. Within me will rejoice in your

healing touch some of the crushing that has happened in

your life. Is God allowing the crushing?

He's allowed that thing to break you, hurt you, disappoint you,

bring dissatisfaction in your life.

He's allowed them to break your heart over and over.

He's allowed you not to walk in this or walk in that.

And I'm telling you, we'll live in a perpetual cycle of

disappointment in your life with glimpses of happiness because

the only person that can bring satisfaction through the valley,

on the mountaintops, in the rain, in the sun, through the

storm, through the winds, it don't matter.

The only person that consistently, without fail,

bring you joy and satisfaction is none other than Jesus Christ,

none other than God the Father. Here it is.

Hide my sins from your face. Erase all my guilt by your

saving grace. Keep creating in me a clean

heart. Fill me with pure thoughts and

holy desires. Holy desires ready.

To please you. May you never reject me.

May you never take from me your spirit.

Let my passion for life be restored.

See, you lose passion for stuff. I don't want to do this no more.

I don't want to do that no more. I'm.

Going to give up on this and I'm going to leave this church.

And there's no sustainability without passion for life in

Christ. Tasting joy in every

breakthrough you bring. To me, here it is.

Look at all these requests. Hold me close.

This is David wants to be close to God, and he's realized how

his sin has separated him. He's realized how putting things

and people before God has separated him, how he's allowed

worry to separate him, fear of man to separate him, the next

raised and bonus to separate him, the next client to separate

him. He is realizing this.

He's like God, what have I done? My greatest delight in life is

to be close to you. He didn't get offended, Elder

John, when God put the desire in his heart to build God a temple,

when God told him, but you won't build it, God put the desire to

build him a house in David's heart.

But he said, David, I can't. Let you build it.

I got to let your son build it. No offense this Lord.

If me not building it brings you joy.

Than me not building it if me not walking through that door

brings you joy. And me not walking through that

door, if me not getting that opportunity brings you joy and

If me not being married brings you joy, touchy, touchy subject,

then me not married. Because what you fail to realize

is God's plan is generational. So it's the work in your

lifetime that helps continue his work for a lifetime.

from is not about me missing out, it's about me restoring

something. So you mean Jesus couldn't have

all the fun and pleasures for us?

something? You mean there was a grandmama

or a grandpapa or a great grandparent in your lifetime

That they main mission was to escape from slavery, fight for

freedom, but couldn't enjoy the freedom because it was their job

to restore something instead of what in your lifetime you can

just get what are you called to restore?

What is the absence of what you desire restoring?

because God was restoring something in my bloodline.

I wasn't going to hell because I was sipping.

God's restoring something. He's healing something this

hour. God's looking for generational

soldiers. Not everything you desired or

you called to work for. What if I told you some of the

stuff that God wants to restore in your bloodline is going to

come through you resisting having to have it?

John the Baptist. Your son should not drink Jesus.

Your son should only eat this. He can't eat what everybody eat

because he's called to restore something.

Can you be trusted with desires or will you fulfill?

Will you fill your life with trying to fulfill every desire

you got? Hold me close to you with a

willing spirit that obeys whatever.

You say you hear this. Obedience is a sole issue.

It comes a point where you you, you long for God so much boy, He

asked you to do something absolutely that you you want to

obey him so much. He got to tell you there's a

zeal that. Peter had to protect Jesus so

much he slice a man ear off and Jesus.

Like no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, we not fighting like that.

We wrestle not against. You're in blood, flesh and

blood, just because you got a right?

And an excuse to do it. Can you tame your excuses?

Finish with Psalm 51. Then I can show other guilty

ones, he says. Hold me close to you.

Then I can show other guilty my closeness, my closeness to you,

to allow me to show other guilty ones how loving and merciful you

are. You ready?

Your greatest witness is not all that you can obtain.

Your your greatest witness is going to be shown to the love

and desperation, unbroken fellowship that is manifested

through a life of obedience and faithfulness and commitment.

And sustainability and standing and solidness in your life with

God and commitment to His Kingdom and to His Bride.

You don't need. Trophies.

See, this is what we sell people.

Look at what God did. Look at what God did.

Look at what God did. But if you have to, pull your

heart out. Could you say look at what God

did? Part of the new covenant spoken

about in the Old Testament, where God says I'm going to give

them a new heart. Not any kind of heart, a heart

of flesh. Oh God, my saving God, deliver

me fully from every sin, even the sin that brought blood

guilt. Then my heart will once again be

thrilled to sing the passionate songs of joy and deliverance.

Man, you see what David's trying to get back to?

Soul wealth, Lord, unlock my heart and unlock my lips.

Some of us can't even worship God.

Here it is. David's not praying, saying Lord

put noise in my mouth. David's not just saying, Lord

help me sing a song. And I will overcome with my

joyous praise. I will overcome with my joyous

praise. He's saying, wow, I'm being

persecuted and people are out to kill me.

Not someone broke up with me. Not it's raining today, not

church too far not not, not no, no, people are trying to kill

me. But if you just unlock my lips

in the midst of my enemies, in the midst of my discomfort, I

can have and overcome A joyous with a joyous praise.

Here it is, for the source of my pleasure is not in my

performance for the sacrifices I might offer to you.

The fountain of your pleasure is found in the sacrifice of my

shattered heart. Do you know how jealous God is

over the stuff you let break your heart but you won't let him

break yours? We chasing men around, we

chasing tail around, we chasing money around.

And when it don't come through, we're heartbroken.

Our life is over. A deal fell through.

It breaks your heart. But what broke David's heart is

the distance between him and God.

God's like, OK, you want to close the gap between you and

the wealth you desire, just keep working.

Stop using me for wisdom for your business.

When will your heart break for Vancouver?

Because my heart is broken over Vancouver.

When? When's your heart going to

break? But your dysfunctional family?

Because my heart is broken over your dysfunctional family.

When is your heart going to break?

That you're living in sin but your heart broken?

I won't bless your sin. Our hearts are broken over

everything but God's heart being broken.

And we wonder why we can't hear from Him because what God truly

shares with his children is his heart, not the answer to the

desires of stuff. When's the last time you said,

Lord, show me your heart versus show me my husband.

Lord, show me what's breaking your heart versus show me where

my next career job is. Lord, show me my clients.

What versus? Show me your lost sons and

daughters. But when I walk in the mall,

show me who you want to minister to and encourage versus show me.

Give me wisdom on who to talk to today to help.

He says the fountain of your pleasure, what pours from God's

heart, the joy that pours from God's heart that then translate

to my strength is found. In the sacrifice of my shattered

heart before you, not my shattered heart before somebody

I'm trying to please. You will not despise my

tenderness. Where's the tenderness towards

God? In the bride as I bow humbly

because you favor Zion. Do what is good for her.

Be the protecting wall around Jerusalem.

And we, we are fully restored. When we're restored, you'll

rejoice and take delight in every offering of our lives as

we bring our sacrifices of righteousness before you in

love. Jesus was moved with compassion

and therefore we saw miracles. When was the last time you cried

out for a miracle versus just pray for one?

And then you stayed crying out. You started the petition with

fervor. Fervor didn't come due to the

lack of God seemingly not responding.

Fervor started the prayer request.

I see crying out all over the Bible.

I see fervor all over the Bible. I see not too much happening in

the Bible without desperation. When I look at the condition of

the bride, amazing stuff is happening.

But man, we are very lukewarm. I would challenge you, and we're

going to get to this later, but boy, look at the scripture,

Troy. All of creation is groaning, but

what about us? It says that there's a depth of

prayer that the Holy Spirit steps in and prays for us.

Groanings. Too deep.

Oh, our prayers. Not deep.

We we know exactly. What we pray in Lord bless me

with this car. I'm talking about when, when you

when is this all happening and you don't know what's going on,

but you just cry out. I I don't need to articulate

what I want because maybe in this hour you don't want me to

get what I want. You want me to desire what you

want. So maybe what you're trying to

get? Through me is new heart desires.

Maybe you're trying to change my desires, but I can't change your

desires without changing your heart as we go into this next

experience. We going to see some Bible old

and new and I'm like, forgive me Lord, because I admittedly a lot

of times don't pray with fervor. I pray with need more than

fervor. And what would happen in our

lives if our cry was just God in this wretched world?

How wasn't I in that plane crash?

How wasn't I in that accident I drove by?

How do I have my children when I wake up and that other mother

had to bury their child? How do I have a mother to call

and say Happy Mother's Day but that that person can't say Happy

Mother's Day because their mothers passed away?

I'm just grateful for what you've kept me from.

I'm so grateful I don't have time to keep begging for the

next thing your word says. Seek me first.

You know all these other things will be added.

Child of God don't have to beg for stuff, but we.

Do have to cry out for him the reason why and.

Third world countries, in other parts of this world, we see

revival and joy. In the midst of extreme poverty,

we see joy. A lot of the videos we see

online, these children dancing with no shoes on with joy and

smiles from across the room with not even a quarter of what you

have is because all they got is him.

Why do? We.

We have to get to that point. Here's the scary part.

We'll probably never see that level of lack and catastrophe.

Now what? Sometime God will let you have

all your comfortable life and your all your stuff and your

business prosper. But that's the very thing that

keeps you lukewarm. Do you want it?

That bad that it would also be a source of your lukewarmness.

This is what the test of the rich ruler was.

You want to follow me? Sell everything, he didn't say.

Sell everything and you'll never get it back.

The first step is sell everything, divorce your wealth

and watch how wealthy you'll get.

It's not God's plan. You have poverty.

There's plenty of us read our daily devotionals and still do

things that don't honor God. At this point, the word to you

is just a history book. I leave you with this, that

everything the fig leaves that humanity is looking for daily to

cover its pain. It's the wrong response to the

real cry that's happening so deep in your soul that

continuing to put fig leaves over your soul will continue to

cause you to respond with the wrong covering.

The Bible says that there's a groan in all of us.

We're pregnant and we're trying to give birth to businesses and

we're trying to give birth to all types of things versus a

rich relationship with God. And I promise you not $1.00 will

sustain your soul in the dark days to come if you don't learn

how to walk with God and if you don't learn His voice.

Now the dark days to come, anxiety, depression, mental

illness is waiting for us. Yeah, the church.

The world is already mentally ill.

That's why they reject Jesus. You got to be mentally ill to

reject the Savior. What if you just simplified your

pursuit and simplified your prayer life for the rest of the

year and just pursue Jesus? It came to a place in your life

where you said if that thing do not come, I am content.

Ain't that what Paul said? I've had it all, I've had

nothing and I've learned and I've mastered how to be solid,

sustained. I'm good either way.

The next experience will be our response.

I encourage you to stay, but I also encourage you when you

leave, if you leave. Take the word you heard.

Don't just turn on any music in your car.

Respond on your drive. I, I, I'll sometimes, a lot of

times I get a ride home from P Dill or or Adam or someone and

my wife would be here with the kids and they'll drive home and

I'll get a ride home. And I know some people and even

sometimes my wife feel messing around.

Why you ain't going to drive home with your family?

Let let me tell you, it's hard to respond to what the Lord just

did within me and release through me.

I need a moment. To.

Hear God so that my soul can respond to heaven so my family

is great they're not doing anything wrong but in my.

Best attempt to guard the preciousness of what heaven has

deposited in my soul. I can't ride in the car with

certain music. I can't ride in the car with

certain volumes of noise. My children have come to

understand that. And that's the same thing.

On the way to car today, the deal was on.

It's supposed to pick me up and due to the preciousness of

today's word, called him and I said P deal.

I want to drive by myself today. I need as much alone time as I

possibly can get because God's sharing his heart with me and

it's nothing wrong with him. But I know right soon as that

moment he's like huh? PT must real gods must be

dealing with him. Let me pray for him.

There comes a point where God is speaking and he's drawing near

to you to where you just got to change your playlist for a week.

You got to get in your car and your kids sometime got to know

Mama and daddy. We we can't.

Just talk loud. I will walk around my house and

I'll walk in the living room and my grandma will be on her knees

with the blanket over her head and I'll be like, because I knew

God was near church. God is near in a moment like

this. We're not closing with songs and

you don't got to compel you and beg you to give.

Elder John told you we don't give.

We don't get that certain this week the work stops.

That's not a bad thing. It's just where we are.

You here. Here's the important part.

The church isn't closing, just the work there stops.

If you go over there, you will see your money at work.

But I don't believe it'll stop. I believe there's someone and

somebody that will cry out and God will cry back and say, son,

daughter, can I just get this through you?

There's no way to close this moment, not when God is trying

to open up a new chapter in your life.

You walk out of there and then maybe for those that are staying

in pads. Ain't no announcement video.

make you feel like home and peppy and all these like these

and the world comes to their rescue because people that don't

even go to their church, they feel the cry coming out of that

what God's doing, but sometime I'm watching the stream and

there's folks just up in here like this doing worship like.

And that's not God's job to always be so thick in the room

that you respond sometimes. You got to do the work to be
