  1. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International

  2. Church Podcast where we seek to love all nations, equip the

  3. church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.

  4. We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever

  5. you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get

  6. your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe

  7. some tea, and get ready to receive.

  8. It's go time. Let's get into it.

  9. I'd love to be a part of a house that is spirit filled, faith

  10. filled, fruit filled, love filled in Jesus name.

  11. I'm going to say that again, you don't got to you don't got to

  12. really holler back. I just love to be a part of a

  13. house that is spirit filled. Anybody ever been a?

  14. Part of a. Place that's not spirit filled.

  15. It's OK to say that you've been to some places that's not spirit

  16. filled. But I am happy beyond words can

  17. explain to be in a place where the spirit is alive and he has

  18. his way. Amen.

  19. You can I you know, I I want to activate you right now.

  20. You can play some guitar that sounds beautiful during this

  21. time. You don't.

  22. You ain't got to let them dominate the sound.

  23. Starting beef on the worship team.

  24. Stringed instruments are anointed when you know how to

  25. play them. I appeal to you, therefore don't

  26. put up the slides yet. I appeal to you, therefore,

  27. brethren, and beg of you in view of all.

  28. You you 'cause you still got to direct.

  29. Oh. Amen.

  30. Beg of you, in view of all the mercies of God, watch this, We

  31. just say finished singing the song and I, I love it and we

  32. sing a lot of songs about making us a sacrifice.

  33. He says that you make a decisive dedication.

  34. Romans 12/1. Amplified Classic.

  35. You. Make a decisive dedication of

  36. your bodies. You make a decisive dedication

  37. of your bodies presenting all. Of your members and faculties as

  38. a living sacrifice, Holy. Devoted, consecrated, well

  39. pleasing to God, watch this. That's at least what you can do

  40. your reasonable rational intelligence service and.

  41. Spiritual worship. What's spiritual about

  42. dedicating my body? Ain't that physical?

  43. How was dedicating my physical spiritual?

  44. Here's what we do understand is that we are spirit.

  45. We possess a soul. We live in a body.

  46. I'll say it like. This because I don't want to get

  47. off track for the message tonight.

  48. But all three work together, just like Father, Son, and Holy

  49. Ghost. If we are going to truly live as

  50. a living sacrifice, He's come for all three parts of us.

  51. Amen. I am the true Vine and my father

  52. is the vine dresser. We have begun day.

  53. I am the true Vine and my father is the vine.

  54. Dresser every branch in me that does not bear fruit.

  55. I just, I just encourage you to go to the Lord about what fruits

  56. He's talking about. So you don't think you're

  57. fruitful when you're not because all fruit ain't good fruit.

  58. And as I've learned from my beautiful wife, all fruit ain't

  59. in season. Just because it's on sale.

  60. Got a bag of grapes the other day and they taste like they in

  61. season. I have had grapes out of season

  62. or different fruit out of season.

  63. It is missing its sweetness. It's an inconsistent batch and

  64. So what you have to understand is if you are going to live as a

  65. living sacrifice, you have to also reason efficiently, or

  66. shall I say diagnose yourself efficiently.

  67. I will tell believers you cannot diagnose yourself efficiently

  68. without letting the Holy Spirit be the doctor and do the X-ray.

  69. Self checks alone are dangerous, especially when you're not

  70. honest with yourself. Every branch.

  71. Last week we had an A. Let's pick up where we left off.

  72. What does every mean? You still have an A?

  73. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and

  74. every what does every mean? Every branch that continues to

  75. bear fruit he repeatedly prunes. He don't let up on pruning.

  76. He is consistently pruning. I love this because an

  77. unfruitful branch lose connection with God.

  78. A fruitful branch, although being pruned repeatedly, is

  79. always engaged with God. Watch this.

  80. They always experience the hand of God.

  81. Here, here, last one, last one. If God is repeatedly pruning,

  82. He's always repeatedly tending to me.

  83. Oh, God's going to help some people tonight.

  84. He man, it feels. Can I just pause for a minute

  85. and tell you how good it feels to have the revelation that He's

  86. always tending to me? So that it will bear more fruit.

  87. Who or what is it? Huh?

  88. Huh. No, not every branch.

  89. What are y'all reading or? Come on, Come on, we got clergy

  90. just yelling stuff out. What y'all doing?

  91. There we go. The.

  92. It will bear more fruit is not every branch, but that's what

  93. people think because I'm saying right here it is the one that

  94. does not bear fruit is connected.

  95. That's what you think you you don't read this.

  96. You read this as I'm disconnected to God.

  97. I think what's worse is that you connected to the body, but you

  98. don't. Got no blood flow into that part

  99. of the body because you ain't functioning in your joints like

  100. you're not you're you're you're here all the time, but your

  101. motives is different. Your hearing is different,

  102. right? You're at a distance, you're not

  103. rooted. Bible says that one kind of

  104. ground they fall away after a while after a while can be 3

  105. years. Why do they fall away?

  106. Because they had no real roots. So if they didn't have real

  107. roots, they must have had not real roots or shallow roots,

  108. right? Or convince themselves they were

  109. rooted because they were serving, right?

  110. Doing church things, right? Watch this, watch this, watch

  111. this. I'm about to shake up the tree a

  112. little bit. I'm about to shake up the tree a

  113. little bit, right? Connected, let me, let me do it

  114. this way. I'm going to testify so nobody

  115. feel attacked. Somebody came to me today and I

  116. had a very great conversation with one of the ways they, they

  117. were in the midst of repentance for some things and doing some

  118. blessing and all these things. And one of the things they said,

  119. I realized that I, you know, I, I rebelled a bit.

  120. I got to rebuild your spirit a little bit, blah, blah, blah.

  121. But I'm faithful, always been faithful, right?

  122. Faithful people use their faithfulness as an excuse for

  123. many ungodly things. Watch this, watch this.

  124. And that person said, I bought a notebook because one of the ways

  125. I want to honor you as my pastor is you've asked us to take

  126. notes. The small.

  127. Fox spoiled the vine. You got this.

  128. Why? And I've asked people to take

  129. notes multiple times. Maybe if this is my pastor, if I

  130. believe he's after my good, if I believe the, the, the the Spirit

  131. speaks to him, then if he says take notes, I should be like I

  132. received that, like I receive a prophetic word about my family.

  133. What if God was saying your breakthrough was going to come

  134. through your obedience to note taking?

  135. I I was it was it was it Kenneth Hagan?

  136. I forget who it was. Somebody came and they.

  137. There was rival night and he asked.

  138. It was the point in the service where he asked everybody to

  139. stand up and do something, turn around and turn around.

  140. End of the night came somebody I believe, correct me if I'm

  141. wrong. End of the night came and

  142. somebody asked him to pray for healing and he said, well God

  143. gave me the instructions that everybody that was here for

  144. healing tonight to tell them to stand up and turn around.

  145. Here's the self entitlement. Well if God is God, he should

  146. heal me whenever I want healing. It shouldn't.

  147. It shouldn't come upon. You mean to tell me no, you

  148. didn't miss your healing, but you can miss a moment.

  149. Right. Have you ever missed the bus?

  150. It didn't mean what? No more buses coming?

  151. You just missed that one. Simple instructions, he didn't

  152. say. Take notes and write every word.

  153. Connected to the vine and some of us may think connected to

  154. Jesus, but not his body. But why would God gives give us?

  155. Instruction how? Why would God give us like like

  156. something as intricate as the body?

  157. Hey, hey, can you help me, Pastor Daniela, that the body

  158. actually has systems that make it work proper.

  159. And if certain things ain't working proper, you ain't

  160. healthy. Even if you feel good

  161. every branch in me that does not bear fruit, what does that say?

  162. Every branch in me you didn't say.

  163. Every branch disconnected from me.

  164. Every branch in me that's not bearing fruit, he takes away.

  165. In every branch that continues to bear fruit, he repeatedly

  166. prunes or he repeatedly perfects, so that it will bear

  167. more fruit, even richer and finer fruit.

  168. You are already clean because of the word which I have given you,

  169. the teachings which I have discussed with you.

  170. Watch this. You are already washed, just

  171. like you are already holy. You are already consecrated.

  172. You are already set apart. Well, if I'm already, then why

  173. do I need to keep on doing the the things?

  174. The fact that we don't do the things shows we don't have a

  175. revelation that we already. If I'm already holy, all I do

  176. need to do is learn how to be. Who I am is already set.

  177. The standard is set. I was born fruitful in Him, but

  178. I have to do these things so fruitful can come out of me.

  179. Hidden fruit is not a witness. I'm trying.

  180. Come on, you. Come on.

  181. Just tell yourself you already washed we.

  182. Start this conversation lust. I don't know about you, but I've

  183. been super blessed, Elder John. I was I was look, I was I was

  184. thinking about this today and and from Genesis.

  185. OK, I don't want to rush over the fact that perfection and

  186. perfected and perfecting and perfect are all a part of the

  187. same family. Can't say that I'm going back to

  188. the garden, but I'm going to show up imperfected.

  189. The goal of getting back to the garden is getting back to the

  190. status in which Adam was before he got dirty, before he fell.

  191. I would like to say that when we.

  192. When it's all said and done, heaven sounds like it's going to

  193. be a perfect place. No talk to me.

  194. No think about it. Go ahead, think about it.

  195. Adam no sin sound sound perfect unless God created imperfect

  196. because the Bible I read it says that he looked at it and it was

  197. very good. Yeah.

  198. And then it says that the that that that why did Jesus have to

  199. be? Why did the sacrifice have to be

  200. perfect if imperfect was sufficient?

  201. So I'm also not going to so when Jesus says tells that woman to

  202. walk away and don't sin no more. Wait a minute, Jesus.

  203. Jesus only lived that life. He's pointing to something.

  204. No, in this world we will not be perfect.

  205. Where we're heading back to it will be perfect.

  206. It won't have no darkness. It will be no, no sin.

  207. It will be no death. It will be no tears.

  208. It will it won't be none of that.

  209. It will be nothing but good. We will be in the presence of

  210. the perfect one in our perfect bodies.

  211. That's what the Bibles are, glorified bodies.

  212. And then the perfect one now lives in this body, the perfect

  213. one. Anybody want to argue right now,

  214. is Jesus perfect or he's not what you think?

  215. What makes him perfect? He was without sin.

  216. So if if sin imperfected us, then what happens when sin is

  217. dealt with? We're what we're made perfect.

  218. OK, well, what do we believe our whole faith is built on what

  219. happened to sin? It was handled OK.

  220. So as long as we're here, we that's why we got to cross back

  221. over. If we believe death was

  222. defeated, if you believe that sin was handled, then then

  223. perfect is in you through the perfect one.

  224. So the things that God is asking us to do is actually really.

  225. Fair. It's just impossible without

  226. him, because if if if, if I'm if I'm tracking right.

  227. Adam perfect man, Eve, perfect man.

  228. Sin came, they fell imperfect. Now watch this.

  229. Watch this. If you was to sum up the whole

  230. Bible in one statement, word, or motive by God, here's what it is

  231. the entire journey. From beginning to end, God has

  232. been perfecting His people, and to do it once and for all, the

  233. perfect one came. OK.

  234. All right. What what's all this for?

  235. PT 'cause I just found me another key.

  236. I just simplified the Bible in one word.

  237. This all he up to, this what your Valley's for, this what you

  238. going through hard times for. This this what you got to

  239. experience the cross for because from the day man fail, he's been

  240. trying to perfect us to get us back to perfect.

  241. So there are some things that you can overcome and just be,

  242. and there's some stuff you you can stop trying to overcome

  243. because you're more than a what does more than a conqueror mean

  244. is that thing don't bother me no more.

  245. I am so far from even being tempted by more than a

  246. conqueror. I'm not even tempted by it no

  247. more. I'm going to say I'm not tempted

  248. by it no more. I have more than conquered

  249. partying, smoking and drinking. I I'm not tempted no more.

  250. I don't look at it and it's beneath me.

  251. I don't need counsel about it. I don't need hey hey, hey,

  252. please help me because I came so close to you, not in your more

  253. than conqueror yet. As I was preparing, I was like,

  254. man, we're in a world where, man, it could be so much more

  255. popular to talk about like relationships and talk about,

  256. you know, financial increase and, you know, all the things

  257. that we want and desire to help you on your day-to-day life and,

  258. you know. Like very practical things about

  259. family and and then he, he's like son.

  260. The Apostolic grace will always 'cause people to focus on me,

  261. period. Watch this.

  262. We've read that he said the high calling, the perfecting only

  263. comes to equip you for high calling.

  264. It doesn't come for relationship goals.

  265. The high calling watch it, he tells us in Isaiah 60 to get up,

  266. arise shine from get up from that prostrated, prostrated

  267. means face down. In other words, get up from

  268. looking at low living, get up from being focused on this

  269. lowlife, get up from being being get up from the the lesser life

  270. and begin to live a never. The high calling is the

  271. nevertheless life. Stop worried about this and

  272. worried about that and worried about them and worried about

  273. that. Then he says.

  274. Fix your eyes on me and I'll give you perfect What peace you

  275. look at the perfect 1 to get perfect peace.

  276. Ephesians one I always pray that the God of our Lord Jesus

  277. Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and

  278. revelation that gives you a deep and personal and intimate

  279. insight into the true knowledge of him.

  280. For we know the Father through the Son.

  281. We know the Father through the Son.

  282. We know the Father through the Son.

  283. And I pray that the eyes of your heart, the very center and core

  284. of your being, May. Be enlightened and flooded with

  285. light by the Holy Spirit, so that you.

  286. Will know and cherish I don't want to run over no right here's

  287. what no is like you didn't even think about your chair might be

  288. broke. You just knew it was going to

  289. hold you up see you ready for this when you enter into this

  290. place. I actually don't even have to

  291. think about obedience. I don't have to think about who

  292. I am I don't have to think about if this will work I don't have

  293. to think about will God come through.

  294. I don't have to think about if I'm called I don't have to think

  295. about if I'm anointed I don't have to think about if God is

  296. thinking of me. I don't have to think about if I

  297. can make it. I don't have to think about it

  298. because my I have been enlightened.

  299. I have been. Flooded with light by the Holy

  300. Spirit. I love this image.

  301. It's because when someone is, Have you ever looked at a

  302. floodlight for how long? Not long.

  303. So what he's telling you is there's a measure of depth in

  304. Him that will cause you to not be able to have to see.

  305. It is some stuff. I'm just walking with Jesus and

  306. he's just doing it. I just believe you, God, because

  307. I know that I know that I know that I know that I know that I

  308. know that I know that I know that I know.

  309. And this knowing goes beyond knowing the Greek and Hebrew

  310. 'cause there's a whole lot of scholars, biblical scholars,

  311. that don't know. They've been enlightened, but

  312. not enlightened. And cherish the hope, the divine

  313. guarantee, somebody say guarantee the confident

  314. expectation. Somebody say confident

  315. expectation, not a shaken expectation.

  316. It is a confident expectation to which he has somebody say called

  317. you. So everything we just read right

  318. there, he called you to. He called you to He called you

  319. to walk in his life, knowing him on earth as it is in heaven,

  320. knowing unshakeable, unshakeable to reign the riches of his

  321. glorious inheritance. Watch this so that.

  322. You. You.

  323. You. You.

  324. Will know without a shadow of doubt.

  325. Walk in, embrace the riches of his glorious inheritance in the

  326. Saints, God's people, and so that you will begin to know what

  327. the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of his

  328. active, active, active spiritual power watch.

  329. This is in US. Oh, there, there, there that

  330. buck go though. Who believe, who believe, they

  331. say, who wondering who's wondering who believe?

  332. These are in accordance with the working of his mighty strength.

  333. Watch this enlightened, enlightened.

  334. Somebody say enlightened. It implies a total shift.

  335. I I, I like this. I like this.

  336. I like this, I like this. I got this older Bible that I

  337. got when I in that 2007 period in my life and I was looking

  338. through it today and it's tore up.

  339. It's tore up. And it just took.

  340. Me. Back to that time in my life

  341. where I made the decision. Decisive dedication.

  342. And I got a wife over there that's a great witness.

  343. You can bring her to the stand anytime you want.

  344. But it was a play, that moment in 2007.

  345. Remember, I was already in him. I grew up in church, went to

  346. church a bunch. And then 2007, I could not

  347. resist anymore answering the call.

  348. Some of you think you answered the call because you serve.

  349. Serving a position in church isn't necessarily.

  350. The call, you're fulfilling a need.

  351. Rather, I pastor at this church or somewhere else.

  352. Or if I don't pastor, I'm called.

  353. If if I don't pastor, I'm not out of my call.

  354. And so much of our understanding of call is connected to our

  355. ability, and then your ability is wrapped up in your identity.

  356. And to be enlightened means a total shift from minimized,

  357. capped out earthly perspective to a broader heavenly

  358. perspective, allowing one to grasp the profound implications

  359. of faith and God's promises. It's about seeing beyond the

  360. surface and understanding the deeper spiritual realities of

  361. light Man. This is all we talk about.

  362. Watch this. Anybody remember heavenly

  363. realities? These are all scriptures we talk

  364. about and now we're here, and the perfect thing is to lead us

  365. to live in this heavenly reality.

  366. Watch this daily. It's about putting the mantle on

  367. and wearing and owning everything that comes with the

  368. mantle. Get your hands off the mantle.

  369. Stop trying to control the mantle.

  370. And I'm talking about there's some of you in here that, that,

  371. that you, you, you ain't even afraid to to dig into what the

  372. call on your life is. Yeah, some of you as pastor,

  373. Yeah, yeah, some of you, God put a word in you and you are called

  374. to be a minister of the gospel, which everybody is.

  375. But you are called to preach the gospel in more than just on your

  376. everyday life. You are called to be a part of

  377. the clergy, called to be a part of an Apostolic team where you

  378. teach, where you preach the gospel.

  379. Some of you need to be, you know, No, no.

  380. Everybody should do the work of an evangelist.

  381. Everybody should win souls. But there are some people who

  382. are called. To be an evangelist.

  383. The way you talk, the way you inspire people, the way you care

  384. about the fish, the way you care about being strategic about

  385. catching you. You go to God and say, God give

  386. me. Wisdom on how to reach that soul

  387. pastor, you care about the people so much and when you're

  388. When that gift is not used in context, you can have unhealthy

  389. pastoral habits and it comes strictly the way reason you love

  390. so hard or even maybe you are codependent.

  391. Some of that is because you got a pastoral call, but the devil

  392. turns it into something else. And it's OK, you care about

  393. those people, but as long. As you are pastoring outside of

  394. putting on the cloak, then it can be manipulated and you can

  395. do more damage to the body and in the world than you can for

  396. good. Let me let me help you.

  397. There is no just general call where you could just treat the

  398. call of God casual. You can't just walk around, be

  399. carrying something and don't have no aim, don't have no

  400. teaching, don't have no accountability, don't have no

  401. mentorship. Then we had a prophet come up in

  402. here, a prophet S and one of the questions before I don't mind

  403. God sending a prophet to our house that ain't a member of our

  404. house. And he, He or she.

  405. Comes to this house and say they have a word from God, but you

  406. ain't about to get no microphone.

  407. Before we asked a couple questions.

  408. Number one, what church you go to?

  409. It was like, you know, I don't got no church.

  410. God got me out on the road. Will you just stay on the road

  411. or you just come get rooted before you just start releasing

  412. words? It's not control when we asking

  413. people to do things in order, it's order.

  414. Show me a Bible with no order and it ain't the Bible.

  415. Jesus was all about order. So you got people that want to

  416. walk around and give people a word in the house but don't want

  417. to be submitted in the house. So so so oh so the Holy Ghost

  418. using you, but you don't want to fall in the line the Holy Ghost

  419. put in place. Talk to me about how that it

  420. don't it don't mean you might have a word.

  421. But what's that thing inside of you that don't want to lay your

  422. gift down for the body? That's why we went over last

  423. week, and we'll keep this before you.

  424. Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers govern,

  425. guide, gather, guard, and ground.

  426. How many people understand everything about the government

  427. like the. World's government.

  428. Does anybody ever understood everything about the government?

  429. No. Come talk to me.

  430. Anybody ever understood everything about the government?

  431. So how you going to? Understand everything about

  432. God's government then, right, Right.

  433. So when we looking at a governing house or a governing

  434. body, OK, you're not necessarily going to understand how God

  435. moves because he's governing. He he's governing.

  436. Governing looks different than guarding.

  437. Most of the time when I see guarding, I know what I'm

  438. guarding people from and what I'm guarding for.

  439. When I'm teaching, there's very, there's specifics.

  440. I'm grounding you. So there has to be understanding

  441. or there's no grounding, right? If we're in the last days, then

  442. the first is being restored. Bible says in first Corinthians,

  443. first apostles first, second prophets, third teachers, then

  444. workers of miracles. You want to see why we don't see

  445. miracles in a way that we should, but we see them overseas

  446. and stuff, man overseas. Go over there.

  447. There's a lot more churches set up, more like Kingdom, a lot of

  448. honor, lot of order and they doing it with 10s of thousands

  449. of people. Why are we not saying miracles

  450. like that? Like Miracles is supposed to be

  451. for revival nights and even those don't have miracles.

  452. We just, we just fell out in the spirit Christians that are super

  453. healthy and don't need too much material and we and we just fell

  454. out. Whoa.

  455. And we just high Christians you chasing encounters.

  456. But but that ain't even how the church was birthed.

  457. The church was birthed ministering to those that was

  458. not following Jesus through signs and wonders.

  459. When you find a region where all 5 gifts are activated, they are

  460. acknowledged and they are honored, you will see a region

  461. that is unstoppable. He gave these gifts.

  462. Why? We learned his intention was the

  463. perfecting. Somebody say perfecting and the

  464. full equals Somebody say well what does fool mean?

  465. Right. If you ever rented, have you

  466. ever rented a car before? You ever rented a car and you

  467. supposed to return it on what full have you ever returned it

  468. under? Full.

  469. It cost you. It cost you more than if you

  470. would have just stopped and got it filled up.

  471. It costs you because when you don't return the field, part of

  472. you paying for the fuel, but also you're paying for somebody

  473. that have to go do something that's unnecessary if you would

  474. have did your. Part the perfecting, the

  475. maturing, the growing up and the full equipping of the Saints.

  476. We found this out. You guys all got a a last week.

  477. Who who's the Saints? Us.

  478. Me. His consecrated people that that

  479. they here it is here. It is that they who is they?

  480. The Saints and who's the Saints, Right, right, right.

  481. I'm up here, right. I'm one of the five.

  482. I'm one of the five, OK? I'm one of the five.

  483. Go back, go back, go back, go back, go back.

  484. I'm, I'm up in here, OK, I'm up in here.

  485. So up in here, everybody up in here.

  486. Was he is called to do what go, go, go, go, go.

  487. He gave those gifts to do what the maturing and full equipping

  488. of the US's and me's right, and who's the US's and me's Now I

  489. know somebody's going to be like PT you're a St. too.

  490. I am. But go back, go back, go back,

  491. go back, go back. But in this house, God is

  492. ordained me and other people to do it up in here, up in here, we

  493. up in here, we up in here, right?

  494. That's I, I didn't ask for it. I just obeyed, OK.

  495. And I love it it it has an S. So this house ain't just going

  496. to be 1 pastor, 1 evangelist, 1 teacher.

  497. No, God is going to send an equipping.

  498. Let me tell you something. This is, this is, look, I, I

  499. love, I love movie church. I love, I love showing up.

  500. I, I get the idea. But that's evangelism.

  501. That's evangelism. But you can't tell me if you, I

  502. don't care if you got 300 people in your church.

  503. That ain't another teacher. It ain't another pastor.

  504. It ain't somebody else that can go go up on that platform and do

  505. the thing, huh? But there's because the house,

  506. the the the lead gift is not there.

  507. Then there's no activation of the rest.

  508. Watch what? Watch this Watch this Watch this

  509. Watch this. And his intention?

  510. Was to mature, mature mature, mature, grow up, challenge,

  511. shake up. Fully equipping other Saints.

  512. Who's the Saints? One more time, Extra credit.

  513. Extra credit. Who's you?

  514. Me. Us.

  515. Them. Y'all, My neighbor.

  516. Watch this, Watch this, watch this.

  517. Equip you that they, they, they, they should do the work.

  518. Now watch this, watch this, watch this, watch this, watch

  519. this. Good grounds might think their

  520. job is to make coffee and pastries, but depending on who

  521. barista in and who's serving the coffee, if they're not aware of

  522. the call on a life, they stop at making coffee.

  523. Versus understanding that as I am dealing with customers, I can

  524. do the work. I'm anointed to do the work of

  525. the ministry. So there might be a word up on

  526. me to share. There might be a creative way I

  527. could teach something, right? The work is not necessarily the

  528. position. OK, why did I have to call Elder

  529. John out? Ain't he an elder?

  530. Ain't that enough? No, he's an elder in this house

  531. for a specific reason. But I would make a huge mistake

  532. not setting the mantle of profit that is on his life through God,

  533. through Jesus, through the Holy Spirit revealing to me and

  534. acknowledging it, activating it and honoring it and coming

  535. before the people, no matter what you think.

  536. And we are setting a prophet in this house because that's what

  537. he said. He set these gifts.

  538. But he can be like, man, I'm not no prophet.

  539. I'm an elder. Well, you're not an elder,

  540. you're John. Well, you're not John, you're a

  541. son want more than a son? I'm a husband.

  542. See how that work? Which one he male he son he

  543. profit. What is he he light skinned.

  544. What right? What is he right?

  545. When we get down to it, What is he see all these things are

  546. things that God. Fearfully and wonderfully made

  547. him as to assist the call. Right, you, you cute, but you're

  548. not called to be sexy, right? Right.

  549. You're not called to be sexy, but God could use your cute for

  550. the sake of the ministry. OK, God can use my tall God.

  551. God uses intentionally my skin. I'm not, I don't.

  552. I don't look at all man. I was just I was born in the

  553. black community. No, no, no, no, Everybody was

  554. born at the specific time that God ordained in the family he

  555. ordained. That's in the book of Acts in

  556. the region you was you are in. You can call it a mistake all

  557. you want, but God makes none for the perfecting.

  558. So if God decided to make me and put me in this body, well, he

  559. going to use this skin. What the enemy want to do is to

  560. get me ashamed of it. If God gave me a sense of humor,

  561. I can't let you mute. Me because God's going to use

  562. that, but I'm going to get to that in a minute.

  563. Gifts, talents and all that cool stuff.

  564. It's going to bless you. It's going to bless you.

  565. Watch this that it might develop.

  566. Some of you in here, you have stopped at showing up and

  567. serving in a ministry and then when somebody come your way.

  568. And start that maturing. You're like, I don't really have

  569. no time. I don't really, no, you don't

  570. have time to do stuff and do more stuff and do more stuff.

  571. You don't have time for more task and you think someone's

  572. calling you for more task, not understanding that the task

  573. creates proximity. Proximity creates time and time

  574. around the anointing that needs to be imparted is what?

  575. OK, Ask Elisha. Ask Naomi and Ruth.

  576. Why? Why Elisha?

  577. Like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

  578. Yeah, I could go back over here and I could go back over there.

  579. But there's something on your life that I need to be around.

  580. So I ain't going nowhere. Wherever you go, I'm going.

  581. No, no, no, I'm here. You stopping?

  582. I'm stopping. You start running.

  583. I'm running. And today, man, ain't nobody

  584. chasing after no man. Sure, OK, if you're a Bible

  585. reader, show me where God didn't use nobody.

  586. He had to use somebody so much that he had to send his son to

  587. be a body. So some can be saved.

  588. Somebody. Somebody saved you.

  589. Some human saved you. Yeah.

  590. And to this day, God is still sending men and women with

  591. something that He has put inside of them just for you.

  592. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.

  593. No, no, no, no, no, no, follow me as I follow Christ.

  594. And the moment you discover I'm not following Christ, stop

  595. following me. Find somebody that's following

  596. Christ, he says. Real, really mature

  597. completeness. Y'all remember Ephesians 4?

  598. Read on Sunday. And you do.

  599. I got 10 people, if you remember that.

  600. Cool. The rest of y'all that wasn't

  601. here. You just got to go listen to the

  602. message. I got to move right along.

  603. Watch. This.

  604. We did, yeah. We read all the Ephesians and we

  605. talked about apathy, right? Then we talked about spiritual

  606. apathy, Lukewarmness. You remember that, right?

  607. Lukewarmness. Has always been in and and it's

  608. a part. It has been a part of the church

  609. revelations. We see the church in Laodicea,

  610. they're rebuked because they were neither hot or cold, but

  611. they were what? Lukewarm?

  612. The Church of Ephesus neglected. They'll get it, They'll get it.

  613. The Church of Ephesus is warned about losing their first love

  614. and needing to repent and return to their initial passion for

  615. God. Here we are.

  616. This has always been in the DNA of the church and in the book of

  617. Hebrews highlights the importance of not neglecting

  618. spiritual growth and actively pursuing a deeper relationship

  619. with God. God warns us of being lukewarm.

  620. He warns us of making our love or or making idols out of

  621. others. And neglecting our first love

  622. and keeping Him first. And then he warns us to not

  623. abandon spiritual growth and actively pursue a deeper

  624. relationship with God. He tells the body to get

  625. creative about spurring each other on.

  626. Right. We are supposed to be active.

  627. That's why I can't hang out with lukewarm people, at least by

  628. myself. I need people hot around me and

  629. lukewarm people because I got to, I got to, I got to make sure

  630. I don't fall into any of this and to act like you are exempt

  631. from this or to ignore when God is sending a warning to this.

  632. We can't be lukewarm, spew you out or fruitlessness, he says.

  633. I'll take it away. So whether you're spewed out or

  634. pruned off, whether you're lukewarm or you're not fruitful,

  635. and what the enemy wants you to do is be so busy focused on

  636. monetary fruitfulness and achievements to show men so you

  637. can get men's approval. And many of us make decisions

  638. based on somebody approving us, not God.

  639. We want accolades that, well, if my name is connected to this and

  640. this and this person and it's this whole the world is, we can

  641. get the same shirt. No, probably not from Walmart,

  642. but you throw a little polo on the shirt.

  643. And automatically people think you got something in your pocket

  644. because you're wearing polo. So you got a whole world that

  645. want name brand. And I'm like, I can't spend 500

  646. on a plain T-shirt because the tag got Gucci on it.

  647. I'll spend, you know, a little something that reigning champ.

  648. $40.50 dollars, 60 bucks, maybe 70 bucks for a nice you know, I

  649. can see color again T-shirt. They'd be selling them in, in,

  650. in, over, in, in Surrey. Watch this Ephesians 420.

  651. But you did not so learn Christ. In other words, you didn't learn

  652. this from T If you really heard the word, assuming that you have

  653. really heard the word, assuming that you have really heard from

  654. the Holy Ghost, you ain't learned that lukewarm stuff from

  655. anointed teaching. You ain't learned that from

  656. anointed leadership. You ain't learned that from

  657. Jesus. You ain't learned complacency.

  658. You ain't learned fear, for God did not give us the spirit of

  659. fear. Where did you learn?

  660. Where did we learn this lukewarm, complacent, passive

  661. church? Where did we learn?

  662. In the Bible? Show me in the Bible, even the

  663. apostle said it is not fair that I should be studying so I can

  664. preach, so I can come serve food.

  665. So we going activate some people to do that so we can do what we

  666. call to do. And when everybody is doing what

  667. they call to do, as faithful as they call to do it, then the

  668. body grows and is strengthened and nobody gets missed.

  669. Yeah, yeah. Burnout ain't going to happen.

  670. Burnout happens a lot because the toe ain't getting the the

  671. toe tired because the the toe tired of carrying the weight.

  672. The big toe should carry, right? The big toe would go out and eat

  673. burgers with the baby toe. We don't want to carry no

  674. weight, right? We will socialize.

  675. We will do community groups way quicker then we'll pick up that

  676. cross of our neighbors. We we'll we'll community group

  677. all day. We'll minister to people all day

  678. on our own, but we won't come up under the equipping in a humble

  679. manner. We won't ask questions that

  680. reveal right. We'll sit and get fed, but we

  681. won't come and ask questions and humble ourselves and say, I

  682. really don't know this, but this is a new way of me doing things.

  683. Can you can you give me understanding?

  684. Right. It's like I'm about to, I'm

  685. about to go get this word. Please go home and make sure

  686. what we preach in is sound based on the word, not based on your

  687. opinion, not based on your. Fear not based on your church

  688. hurt based on the. The the, the word, go, go check

  689. it out. But a lot of time we get fed, we

  690. interpret what we need and we use it for our ministry.

  691. It's great. But when I look at the word,

  692. there's a connection that the church has and there's an order.

  693. And here's the thing, you are not always them.

  694. What I mean by that, our job is to equip you so that you're

  695. equipping them and then when they're equipped, they're going

  696. to have them, they're equipping. So don't think that you always

  697. are here. It is a student you technically.

  698. Are but it's this fear of you're not just going to put me in

  699. student mode all the time. Well, I'm in student mode all

  700. the time. Jesus was in student mode.

  701. It's a healthy system. As much as we stay student, we

  702. also remain teacher. We're all called to make

  703. disciples. The Perfecting Based on

  704. Ephesians 2423. The perfecting starts with the

  705. stripping. Strip yourself.

  706. I love that word. It's aggressive.

  707. It speaks to urgency. There's some of you in right

  708. now. You.

  709. You don't need another meeting. You don't need another

  710. conversation. Strip yourself.

  711. You know how powerful walking with God is, is you can actually

  712. make a decisive decision tonight and actually walk in it like

  713. like like in in June 2007, you asked the greatest, one of the

  714. greatest witnesses in my life, like when I made that decision

  715. like, like I made the decision in June of 2007 and I haven't

  716. turned back ever since in that moment, right, I believe, I

  717. believe, I believe the Lord has told me to tell you guys that

  718. even if you make a date tonight, when you going to make a

  719. decision to walk away from whatever, at least make the

  720. date. But when the date show up, honor

  721. it. You know how people make dates

  722. to get married. You can make a date tonight,

  723. right now. Now, let me tell you, I made a

  724. date and then I almost didn't make it to that date.

  725. It was a close call. I had the audacity to make a

  726. deal with God when he said now, when God say now, he mean now.

  727. And I had some shows booked and I was like, Lord, I got a band.

  728. I don't want to take money off the table because I take money

  729. off the table. I'll take food off the table.

  730. So these last three shows, man car broke down.

  731. All kind of crazy stuff happened.

  732. I barely, barely made it, but I made it.

  733. But I made a date. I heard the call.

  734. And I didn't. Play with it.

  735. And from that month, here's what Here's what happened.

  736. Answering the call, the first step was I dove head first into

  737. discovering what walking in that call meant for my life.

  738. Out of that obedience, God took me to a man of God that rooted

  739. me in faith, taught me all about faith like I've never known

  740. before, and He taught me all about soul winning.

  741. Doctor Godot, I owe him everything when it comes to the

  742. importance of soul winning and the importance of faith

  743. teaching. Part of my Bible being so jacked

  744. up is because the way he taught back then, you know, iPad, he

  745. got iPad now. But man, man, you had your Bible

  746. out. He was a Word of Faith.

  747. You had your Bible out. You had your highlighter out.

  748. He turned with me to you hear number pages.

  749. Turning in the church students. And I said under my wife said

  750. under that word, under that ministry, my wife got filled

  751. with the Holy Ghost. I mean, remember, remember, I

  752. grew up in church. I got filled with the Holy Ghost

  753. in 2007. I got my heavenly prayer

  754. language. I had an encounter and got some

  755. deliverance. And I dove in that word.

  756. I dove in that word. And I was.

  757. Willing to sit in that church under that word, under that

  758. leadership until he had the man of God that was designed to,

  759. that had something that I needed.

  760. I had to be perfected. He said, hey, we need you over

  761. here in the youth ministry. I didn't go to that church to be

  762. a youth pastor. We need you over there in the

  763. youth ministry. Absolutely, Sir.

  764. Not one time did he ever have to check on me.

  765. Once we took it like it was our own.

  766. Was it hard? Yeah, But I I didn't have no say

  767. of what my call was. I said yes.

  768. And I understood that that man, that woman, that family, those

  769. leaders had something in them that I needed or God wouldn't

  770. have brought me there. And so I.

  771. Surrendered under that and I submitted under that.

  772. My wife did and he taught me how to be a husband and he talked.

  773. And a part of my servant is what gave me proximity, because a

  774. part of that servant got me to sit at the table and get

  775. intricate wisdom from the man, not knowing I'll be in Canada

  776. building from the ground. Up.

  777. I saw how he dealt with people. I saw how he dealt with

  778. persecution. I saw how he dealt with people

  779. lying. I saw how he dealt with a man

  780. stealing $1,000,000 from him. I saw how he sold into his

  781. enemies. I saw how he loved his children,

  782. saw how he loved his wife. I saw how he climbed.

  783. Help this church climb out of crazy debt when the economy.

  784. Shifted. I watched and I watched and then

  785. I got the audacity to think I was ready for my own ministry

  786. and boy was that a hard lesson. But the grace of God took me to

  787. another house. I wasn't.

  788. I was OK with walking away from the church that we planted.

  789. That church had my Mama in it. That church had my auntie in it.

  790. That church had my best friend in it.

  791. That church had some other folks in it.

  792. And then I noticed that the church was being.

  793. Purged. I said God, what is this?

  794. He said. Now I know, and immediately we

  795. got up about that YMCA, but before I left, I remember a lady

  796. in our church, Miss Paley, she said when you go to Oakland, you

  797. go visit Bishop Carl Smith. I didn't do it the whole year,

  798. but at that moment when things got purged, I went to the house

  799. and I sat hungry by myself. Hungry.

  800. And I was sitting there and I was doing what?

  801. Taking notes. The Bishop looked over in the

  802. middle of his in his message said Hey son.

  803. You a pastor? I said yes, Sir.

  804. He said I knew it. He said come see me after

  805. church. Went up to him After church.

  806. He came out of his office. I waited on him, came up, shook

  807. my hand. He said where you from?

  808. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. No, I went to the doctor.

  809. G's church. I'm out of here, man.

  810. I know you're down there. Come see me at our other campus

  811. on Monday. I go to the campus.

  812. First thing he did was walk me to the church bookstore.

  813. First book he put in my hand he had the book was called The

  814. shift from from Pastoral to Apostolic.

  815. God had me sitting for a season to understand faith, understand

  816. who I was in God, understand the promises of God, understand that

  817. whole world, understand teaching the gospel.

  818. Then he took me under another anointing and I sat there for

  819. four years and he had He ordained me to be an elder.

  820. He asked me to be over the youth ministry.

  821. And we served and I'll tell you this, in that time, my wife

  822. wasn't even feeling that church like that.

  823. She loved it. But but but there was something

  824. God had there for me. He gave me that book by by John

  825. Eckhart. And I was like, and that season

  826. God was showing me the mantle and I dove so deep in that

  827. thing. And then I remember reading

  828. because I was hungry for a spiritual father.

  829. I was hungry for covering. I was hungry and my soul began

  830. to long for the relationship I had with Doctor G.

  831. And I remember sending them in, seeing them in a conference.

  832. I remember my friends I had to I wasn't even able to go back and

  833. do certain things because we walked away prematurely.

  834. We thought that the anointing we said under I was ready now

  835. didn't understand the power of what was going on because of

  836. what I was under. That's Bible to go look at it

  837. and I remember I was reading this book like Lord and I.

  838. Understood. I had some unhealthy

  839. expectations from these pastors in my life.

  840. And for once I understood I was expecting them to respond to me

  841. how long my biological father to and I didn't realize that they

  842. were there for my spiritual journey, not my biological

  843. trauma. And once I got context right, I

  844. could receive right. And I remember reading this book

  845. called rooted. I think it was by Pastor Banning

  846. from Jesus culture and man, I read through that book and I'm

  847. glad I don't read books from front to back all the time.

  848. I read the chapters where I need, I need, I need to read the

  849. season man. OK, I don't have no pride like

  850. well, I just finished. The mother book, Nah, give me

  851. the chapter that's going to help me today and went to this

  852. chapter and out of all that, that book wasn't even talking

  853. about spiritual fathers. But I found this spot my wife

  854. had went to the store, pick up the kids and it talked about

  855. covering. I remember being in the living

  856. room and I fell on my face and repented to God.

  857. Doctor G blessed us to go. He would never tell us not to

  858. go. But I had to repent for pride,

  859. orphan spirit, rebellion, and that whole time that I was gone

  860. from Calvary, I was coming to Canada.

  861. After four years of being at this church, this other church

  862. being equipped, the Lord said it's time to go back.

  863. What? Go back and long story.

  864. Short I went back and I remember seeing Doctor G at a conference

  865. and I said, Sir, I'm coming back home.

  866. He's like, good. He's a little bitter because of

  867. what we meant to that house and all that He shared in our lives.

  868. I thought I was called to go and save Oakland.

  869. God used it. God honored it.

  870. That's how I know you can still be out of order, and God will

  871. use it and He will teach you, and He will equip you in your

  872. rebellion. Right, God has a way to make

  873. what your rebellion look like. You hurting and I swore I did.

  874. I had all the reasons. And I remember going back to

  875. Calvary and I remember he was like, I'm not going to let you

  876. be over youth, but you can help my son out.

  877. I was like man, I remember about 10 months in, it was time me and

  878. my wife made the decision because we were made to offer

  879. come to Canada and I'll tell you we struggled in that season of

  880. our lives because of a decision I was making.

  881. But one thing that always is and always will be is I wasn't

  882. afraid to miss God. Trying to find.

  883. God I made quick. U turns quick.

  884. And I remember we talked and it was like, yeah, we feel called

  885. to Canada. We prayed.

  886. And we both agreed if we go to Doctor G and he says, Nope, we

  887. ain't going. I know that's that's just not

  888. this generation, right? We hear from God.

  889. Ain't nobody going to tell me I ain't heard from God.

  890. He didn't tell me and he wasn't telling us.

  891. We didn't hear from God. But we had entrusted him with

  892. our lives in leadership and we went and he was like, it is

  893. time. It is time you guys are ready.

  894. That country needs you guys and I'm proud to see you guys.

  895. Off to Canada, few months in, everything changed.

  896. God, what do you want? Us.

  897. We met the Swains. Elder John.

  898. Don't know. I'm weary because I've been.

  899. I've been searching for a while and now I'm in another country

  900. with my family. My one year old, my 8 year old,

  901. my 10 year old. Elder John, his answer when I'm

  902. asking him for guidance. You should do.

  903. Whatever you think going to lead you to know the Lord the most.

  904. Thanks buddy. Because it wasn't just love

  905. Quest in our mind, it was also being pastor of another church

  906. potentially. We applied.

  907. It was in Dawson Creek. Hallelujah.

  908. And I got bits of bits of wisdom and I do music and things.

  909. I remember getting a piece of wisdom from someone and they

  910. were like, culture goes from the inner city out.

  911. You'll have more impact on British Columbia by being where

  912. culture is derived from than going out and trying to

  913. establish it there. These little pieces, I'm leaning

  914. in, I'm listening, and we decided to start a love quest.

  915. And many of you heard that story.

  916. Few people. And here we are.

  917. We go to New West, Elder said. They're going to give us a try,

  918. they're going to help us out, and we go to Strathcona and

  919. we're still pursuing God and we go now we're here.

  920. The last four years, almost half of our existence in this country

  921. has been waiting on this building, but this building,

  922. Strathcona. Closed doors, the coldness of

  923. some of the church folks in this country, all none of that

  924. determines my call. But all of it perfects me.

  925. And the moment that any one of these journeys stops, I could

  926. have walked through it. COVID was the perfect time.

  927. Perfect. Perfect time to go back home.

  928. It's. Two years in man, let's go back

  929. to Cali, right? And every now and then God will

  930. call again. Not like call again, but remind

  931. you, you called. I haven't forgotten your call.

  932. You would see him with Moses. You would see him with Abraham,

  933. and he'll send an Angel. He'll send signs, and then he'll

  934. pop up and say something and he'll go away.

  935. And I believe this is a moment where some of you have heard the

  936. call on your life. You know, it's a call on your

  937. life beyond just being a Christian, beyond just setting

  938. up chairs. Some of you were born into it,

  939. and the enemy has done so much to discourage you, to water down

  940. the call. No, the call is a thing.

  941. It's not this passive thing. Somebody needs your.

  942. I do. I don't know why I spent time

  943. telling you that long story, but I just know.

  944. I knew when I was a young boy, the way I would look at the

  945. pastors and the preachers and my friends would look at Michael

  946. Jordan. I was looking at Bishop such and

  947. such. And I loved Doctor King and I

  948. loved how how how social leaders brought people together and

  949. advocates and spoke for people. And so when I got to college, I

  950. was like, I want to be a psychologist and a public

  951. speaker. And I found out that's pretty

  952. much a pastor, right? You start putting, you start,

  953. you start making your call secular.

  954. And I think it's very dangerous to not identify call first so

  955. that you can pick major and minor.

  956. You might not discover call in major and minor, but you could

  957. probably save money if you understood call and then picked

  958. the last part of my little story.

  959. I remember that. I think this is to help a couple

  960. people. I remember I was frustrated.

  961. Assigned to play professional baseball out of high school.

  962. Spent some time being an assistant mascot for the

  963. Warriors for one for a partial year.

  964. I worked out in their facilities.

  965. I was around pro ball players. I played against pro ball

  966. players and did very well. And I'm like, God, why didn't

  967. you send me the help to lead me and guide me?

  968. Why was I always on these journeys by myself?

  969. My mom, my grandmother supported me.

  970. They were in the stands. But I'm sitting here fathering

  971. this guy's fathering these kids and I'm like, man, if I had half

  972. of this to have someone pay attention to me and protect me.

  973. And when I'm getting ready to make a dumb decision, they're

  974. there to give me wisdom every day without me running them away

  975. because I'm huffing and puffing because I don't want to hear it

  976. no more. And I remember I almost worked

  977. myself up to be mad at God because I was, you know, I

  978. worked that gap. I worked at Foot Locker, I

  979. worked at the movies, I worked at Taco Bell.

  980. I was just searching for purpose and I remember God so kindly

  981. said what did you were you naturally in, tuned in, engaged

  982. with, passionate about? And loved when you were little.

  983. Like what did you look up to? And I remember.

  984. Sitting there on my own watching Martin Luther King

  985. documentaries. Micah's age, I remember saying.

  986. Doctor Martin Luther King writing my own speech, my own

  987. little freestyle rap for the citywide Black History Month

  988. thing. I remember watching these shows

  989. about leaders. I remember sitting there as a

  990. little boy. I made my Mama stay at church

  991. until the pastor was leaving. That's where I've learned after

  992. church, having meetings with people in the office and when I

  993. walk out, nobody. Else is here.

  994. I grew up seeing it and I remember in that moment God

  995. said, remember your heart used to burn when you saw the pastor

  996. walk out the his office and walk up to the pulpit.

  997. So that's why I understand when the little kids come up and run

  998. up to me and shake my hand and, and, and they come in here with

  999. a, with a suit jacket on with a tie.

1000. And they and they parents tell me they want to be a pastor.

1001. I understand that and when you as a parent see.

1002. That that's God because they can look up, they can come here with

1003. a baseball bat and be like, I want to be a baseball player.

1004. And in that moment, Lord says. Son, you were called to do this,

1005. and ever since that moment, I had clarity and peace that I was

  1006. called. I wasn't striving to do.

1007. And there's some of you in here. I was about to take you to Noah.

1008. Noah was called to make an ark because he was the one found

1009. righteous. Noah had a call, but Noah also

1010. had a few people that was permitted to go with them.

1011. Noah was anointed for a purpose, Noah was gifted for a purpose,

1012. and Noah was talented for a purpose.

1013. And there's people in here you have lost your way because the

1014. world through life, you just kind of, I've had to work

1015. because I have to make ends meet.

1016. Oh, I got hurt, so I went this way.

1017. Or when I went to school, I was influenced by this, so I went

1018. that way. I did drugs, so I went that way.

1019. Can you get back to when you were pure and innocent and not

  1020. fearful? What?

1021. What was that thing? What was that thing?

1022. I remember sitting in Taco Bell or a restaurant and my stomach

1023. used to turn as a little kid watching humans eat.

1024. That were by themselves. There was this compassion I had

1025. for humanity as a little boy and.

1026. If you pay close enough tension, you see it in different types of

1027. kids when they're little in their pure state.

1028. What is it? What have you gotten away from?

1029. Where in your life were you functioning in call but you

1030. fail, or you got discouraged or you got disappointed?

1031. Where was that? You need to repent tonight and

1032. return because the body needs you.

1033. So what? You didn't get attention?

1034. So what? You didn't get paid for it?

1035. So what? They, they, they didn't like

  1036. you. So what?

1037. They teased you. So what?

1038. They didn't value your gift? So what?

1039. They fired you? So what?

1040. The call is still on you. Oh, I got married and and my

  1041. spouse don't. It's hard having kids and it's

1042. stop making family an excuse. God ain't put your call on pause

1043. till your kids move out. Yeah.

1044. Who are you? You could put those questions

1045. up, please. You start with the gifts really

1046. quickly and I want you to take pictures.

1047. I mentioned this Sunday and even now be praying there's some of

1048. you, man, you, you here it is. Some of you are functioning your

1049. gifts ready for this. Watch this, watch this.

1050. Now I want everybody stop writing.

1051. Stop writing. And then we go right.

1052. Some of you Your insecurity kills your gift.

1053. You hide. You've hidden, you make excuses,

1054. you don't mind serving wherever you need me, I'm there.

1055. But the way you look at your gift, the way you have allowed

1056. your insecurity to make you see yourself.

  1057. That's. Something you've allowed, and

1058. maybe it started somewhere where somebody hurt you or didn't

1059. accept you, but the day of putting your call in somebody

1060. else's hands that have moved on and probably don't even know

1061. they hurt you. Like your your gift?

1062. Should cause you your call should cause you a little bit to

1063. be shook in your boots like I can't do this exactly getting in

1064. you don't need it's before that is gift talent.

1065. And I'm really trying to talk to the depths of some of your soul

1066. because some of us are so calloused.

1067. Like you hear me, but you don't hear me because you have

1068. operated for so long just serving, but not from call.

1069. Just it's what you do. I grew up in church, man.

1070. I grew up in church and I've seen it.

1071. It's so many faithful people in here.

1072. What are no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no?

1073. No, no, Before that it's it's the definition of gifts,

1074. talents, anointing, da da da da. Come on.

1075. Come on. That boy Noah was given orders.

1076. Yep, start at what? What?

1077. One thing that boy Noah was given orders.

1078. EJ at 500. He had kids.

1079. The Bible says that the flood came around 600.

1080. It is recorded that it took about 70, almost 75 or so years

1081. for him to build. 5075 years somewhere in there one say 100

1082. year to build this ark. He's building with no rain

1083. insight. He's building with people

1084. doubting him and thinking he crazy what's happening.

1085. He's building family, walking away.

1086. He's being perfected right? What's the one thing God has

1087. called you to? And it's OK to write it down and

1088. say I don't know. But what I warn you of is do not

1089. play stupid. What's the one thing God has

1090. called you to #2 what are three gifts and talents you have to

  1091. use? OK.

1092. I'll explain next slide. Who's the tribe he's gave you to

  1093. trip with? Noah.

1094. You are the one righteous man. I have called you to be a savior

1095. to humanity. And here's a gift, a talent, and

1096. an anointing I'm going to give you.

1097. You're going to build an ark. I'm going to anoint you to

1098. preach the gospel or preach. I'm going to anoint you to

1099. prophecy you. Are going to preach every day on

1100. that while you're building you're going to tell people what

  1101. I said you're going to tell people that I'm coming you're

1102. going to tell people that one day God is going to.

1103. Clean this mess up. Sin has entered the earth and

1104. God is about to preserve the earth.

1105. Watch this. And God says you're going to

1106. build it like this. He gave them days.

1107. He gave them time. And he said the only people you

1108. are to take is your wife, your sons, their wives.

1109. The people who you not call to is a danger to the call.

1110. Watch this. I told somebody this the other

1111. day, a friend. And your tribe is two different

1112. things. I got friends back home that I

1113. don't talk to all the time. But when we pick up the phone

1114. and talk, we pick up right where we left off.

1115. My tribe, Yeah. I miss you if you're not at the

1116. game. My tribe from the tribe.

1117. If I can't be in Calgary, I'll say, hey, can you go be with my

1118. son? My tribe is something different.

1119. There might be some friends that in a season God will cause me to

1120. walk away from, but my tribe, God might be calling me to fight

1121. with and contend for a relationship.

1122. Who's the tribe he's gave you the trip with?

1123. He gave them a boarding strategy.

  1124. OK. And then next.

1125. Where are you graced to stand? What I've come to find out is

1126. the anointing is to help me exist in the impossible.

1127. I'm going to say it again. The anointing is given to help

1128. me exist in the impossible. Because what's impossible with

  1129. God? I mean, what's impossible to

1130. man, it is possible with the anointing.

1131. Watch this, watch this, Here you go.

1132. The calling imparts identity and confidence to operate in the

1133. anointing that God places upon us.

1134. Somebody say the calling, it imparts identity.

1135. When I left the church I grew up in, God took me to a church to

1136. impart identity at the church I grew up in.

1137. It was phenomenal. But all I knew was I was saved.

1138. I knew I was a Christian. It was it was my salvation

1139. Church. The next church God took me to,

1140. it was my calling. Church.

1141. It's where identity was imparted and confidence to operate in the

1142. anointing that God placed upon my life, right?

1143. God says, hey, go find the prophets.

1144. When you get around the prophets, you'll begin to

1145. prophecy. So here's a hint on some of your

1146. calls where He sent you to hang out.

  1147. That's what I understood. I don't come with an independent

1148. spirit. I understand where God is

1149. calling me. There's an anointing there

1150. that's called to fall on me. Well, I looked this for example,

1151. right, for example, right. This young lady right here at a

1152. Beth, she came here first time she ever came to church in

1153. language. She tried to act like she she

1154. walked. She walked like this.

1155. Now she walked like this. What happened?

1156. There was something in her from birth, but it wasn't until she

1157. got in a certain atmosphere around a certain tribe that she

1158. allowed to activate that we we didn't.

1159. We've had conversations. PT does it really take all of

1160. that? No, it's not about taking all of

1161. that, right? He takes you from this smaller

1162. place and one way of doing things.

1163. He puts you in a different atmosphere and you're really

1164. trying to hold on to what you know, but you don't know the new

1165. you, right? So he puts you around these

1166. people because there's something wrong your tribe that once you

1167. get around them, well, you prophesied courageous, bold,

  1168. unapologetic. Oh, I didn't know.

1169. I can do. All of this.

1170. Oh my God, is she doing all the stuff you activated?

1171. She's teaching people, she's pushing past fears.

1172. She's holding people accountable, learning how to

1173. walk that line between love and and and irritation and a

1174. counterfeit man. It's a beautiful thing, but her

1175. hunger and what she sacrificed and what she laid down and some

1176. of the dreams she thought she had, and then she got a new

1177. desire transplant in our church. This body would not be the same

  1178. without her functioning properly.

1179. And I can go on and on down the line.

1180. And you see the enemy try to pick people off and Nah, the

1181. race is is is is not given to the swift, those who endure next

1182. slide. The anointing is a special

1183. endowment of enabling power that gives you the ability to

1184. complete your assignment. The anointing is to complete the

1185. assignment. I can't wait to talk about this

1186. building next door. I cannot wait to talk about what

1187. these last four years have been about.

1188. I cannot wait to. Share.

1189. The stuff that God is saying stand son.

1190. I know it don't make sense to most of the people but stand.

1191. I know you look silly, but. Stand.

1192. I know it don't make no sense. It's better off to tear the

1193. building down and start from scratch.

1194. Don't make no sense. You don't own the building where

1195. you put all that money in there for what are you?

1196. The people are not going to understand.

1197. It's OK Stand. What is he doing perfecting?

1198. I'm anointed to stand in the silly.

1199. It gives you the ability to complete the assignment once you

1200. are in front of these great men. I'm anointed to stand in front

1201. of people who build big buildings for a living.

  1202. And I ain't. I barely even built a Lego

  1203. building. I ain't built.

1204. I built nothing. But I'm anointed and the

1205. anointing can take you way further than education can.

1206. The anointing will allow you to get educated in areas that you

1207. because the anointing comes to educate you for call not not for

1208. mere intellect. Next slide, the anointing Watch

  1209. this. Is to help.

1210. Some of you, a gift is a key that opens doors to bring us

1211. into the presence of great men. Watch this.

1212. This brother right here is gifted at the keys.

1213. Play other stuff he might be gifted to, right?

1214. Gifted Somebody say gifted. Every definition I'm giving you

1215. are different, OK? The gift is a key that will

1216. bring him before great men. The danger is when you get

1217. before great men, you don't know the call.

1218. And that's why we often get led to idolizing great men versus

1219. serving great men and women through the call of on our

1220. lives. So a gift is a key.

1221. It opens. And then lastly, the talent,

1222. watch this. The talent is lower level or

1223. lower dimensional gifts that undergird our dominant gift to

1224. bring support and balance. You see the slide, take a

1225. picture of this one, not this one.

1226. Watch this talent. This is very important, Troy.

1227. This is very important, Dylan. This is very important.

1228. You guys, your talents are not the same as your spiritual

1229. gifts. Skills are usually inherited,

1230. passed down from generations to generation.

1231. Natural talents can develop with practice.

1232. Spiritual gifts are received, not developed.

1233. Right. My children, all of them are

1234. athletic by DNA, and then they're around family and

1235. culture that's athletic and talented.

1236. And that's why you see some cultures more talented,

1237. stronger, taller, shorter, healthier than others.

1238. You inherit talents, you inherit gifts sometimes, but.

1239. Natural talents can be developed with practice with spiritual

1240. gifts are received, not developed complete gifts.

  1241. Batteries included unexpected surprises.

1242. You can't earn or deserve. God chooses when God places His

1243. gifts on you. Batteries are included.

1244. His gifts come with the anointing.

  1245. His gifts come with power. I wasn't a preacher or a

1246. teacher, but. When I said yes to the call, he

  1247. is put a gift. I was not a a building builder.

1248. I was not a project manager. There's projects in my life I

1249. can barely manage my album like, but when it comes to managing

  1250. God's house and he's teaching, there's an anointing.

1251. I'm sitting there and I'm like, I got to go meet with the

  1252. engineer. I don't know nothing the

1253. engineer like, but I'm going to go meet with him because what I

1254. got on me can be the difference with him signing the papers or

  1255. not. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

1256. The contractor knows more about the process than I do.

1257. But if the contractor was good enough based on his gifts and

1258. talents and skills, it would have got the paper signed.

1259. So I need to show up to the contractor and to the engineer,

1260. and I'm going to show my smile, my anointing.

1261. I'm going to talk to you. And I'm going to say, man, come

1262. on, you're going to have to sign this.

1263. We've been waiting four years and God's people is ready.

  1264. He's like, OK, don't work, don't work.

1265. Don't worry. We gonna sign it.

1266. This sign, we gonna sign it. And that's why the engineer

1267. signed off on the paper the other day.

  1268. I don't I don't I don't know what the some of this stuff.

1269. I don't know what it what that mean.

1270. I don't know what it mean, but I but God then puts here is I'm

1271. anointed to lead people. So then he knows I'm a builder.

1272. Look some some folks don't even know this EE role EJ.

1273. Norbert's not here, right? Norbert's next door right now.

1274. Nice Norbert, Before Norbert ever came to this church with

1275. his family, Norbert and our current contractors was the two

1276. people we were choosing from to do our project.

1277. God told me to other people, take the other people and they

1278. have been the blessing we need. Norbert ends up coming by later

1279. and making this church his church home and bringing his old

1280. family. Watch this, watch this, watch

1281. this, watch this, watch this, watch this.

1282. If Norberg, sure God could do whatever, but Norbert, God said

1283. no, I need Norbert's soul first Watch this, watch this.

1284. And now Norbert and his team is a part of the through the ribbon

1285. part. So he didn't start with us, but

1286. he got a church home and he got family saved and now he going to

1287. be a part of the finishing God's house.

1288. And now he over there right now because we get we doing some

1289. stuff, we doing some stuff and he over there right now and he

1290. got his team and God is building his house.

1291. You don't got to know everything.

1292. You don't got to make sense. I, I don't know how the kids

  1293. going to do this. I don't, I don't know how in 3

1294. 1/2 weeks. My kid about to go back to

1295. school and my wife going to go here and then we, it's an

1296. important year and we got to be here and we got to be there.

1297. But the church supposed to open and we get in the building in

1298. October and I need to be here for this.

1299. I don't know how it's going to be, but he didn't tell me to

1300. pray about like that. He told me to pray for daily

1301. bread. Lord, what do you need me to do

  1302. today? There's an anointing for today's

1303. task, right? And there's rest in that.

1304. Who are you? Sabotaging your call with full

1305. of excuses. You busy working?

1306. Awesome, you still got a call. You don't just love people, you

1307. don't just care for people. You don't.

1308. You don't just have people calling you for wisdom and you

1309. always helping people. What is that?

1310. God has put a gift up on you. His gift, His person, special

1311. endowment. Get serious about your call

1312. because there's pastors in this house, there's teachers in this

1313. house, God's sending apostles to this house.

1314. There's evangelists in this house, there's teachers,

  1315. there's, there's, there's, there's, there's so many gifts

1316. in this house. And when we have the gifts set

1317. in the house, we're going to see the working of miracles.

1318. Who are you? If that's you, you don't need to

1319. stand. You don't need to raise your

1320. hand, but we're going to take the next two minutes for you.

1321. First of all, there's some people in here that need to

1322. repent. I will say it the way it is

1323. because God said I will throw up if you lukewarm, I'll throw up.

1324. So he already using gross stuff, right?

1325. I am saying because I have to. It is disgusting how you have

1326. let hurt calls you to minimize the anointing on your life.

1327. It is disgusting how you have allowed family members who have

1328. walked in a call you might be called to or just say the

1329. ministry in general and you've allowed that or the enemy to

1330. cause you to be like God. And some of you in here, I hear

1331. it so clearly. You've said God, you don't even

1332. need to use me. That is disgusting to your

1333. father that he would call his child and you would look at him

1334. and say I'm cool if you don't use me.

1335. It's been frustrating. It don't look how you think it

1336. should look, but where we're heading, you got to grow up.

1337. There's a call on your life, stop making excuses.

1338. And you got to be skillful if he's blessed you to be in a

1339. family and grow up in a community and a culture with

1340. natural gifts and talents. How dare you sit on your gift

1341. and just oh, I can hear music, or I could just play music or I,

1342. I just naturally love to do this.

  1343. Or I, I can write. I'm a good writer.

1344. I did good in. English.

1345. Maybe you're a prophet and God's called you to write books, not

1346. stand on a platform. Maybe you got to write books

1347. about what God is saying today. Maybe, maybe maybe maybe your

1348. teacher. I don't know what it is, but

  1349. where I started, I didn't have a definition.

1350. I just had a call and I said yes.

1351. And when I do, and I don't know who you are tonight, but I felt

1352. it when Annabeth was singing earlier, right before I came up,

1353. that there's some people we need to repent and take this moment

1354. seriously because there's some people not being helped because

1355. you have watered down your call. And you gifted and you talented,

1356. and you just take it for granted.

1357. What if God? Took it and gave it to somebody

1358. else. You know how it is.

1359. You give away something that you thought you didn't want.

1360. When you see them wear it, you like, wait a minute, give me

1361. that shirt back. You take the next two minutes.

1362. And between you and God, you start with repenting.

1363. And if you need to write stuff down, whatever.

1364. But I'm here to tell you that if you can hear today, it is your.

1365. Time God is calling his sons and daughters home.

1366. The prodigal son did not go home just to go home.

1367. The prodigal son said I'm about to go back home in my father's

1368. house and I'm about to serve. Sons and daughters coming home

1369. is not just people missing from church, it's also some of you

1370. getting back in your rightful position and just.

1371. Start with total surrender. Lord, here I am.

1372. I don't know what it looks like, I forgot, but Lord, shine your

1373. light. On the mantels that you put on

1374. me, here it is, Timothy. Stir up the gift.

1375. Take these next few moments and allow the Holy Spirit to stir up

1376. the gift. He'll bring definition as you

  1377. go. I'm still learning.

1378. Ero Noah was doing the same thing every day for over 50

1379. years. Some of you are frustrated

1380. because you've been doing the same thing.

1381. It all sound crazy until the flood comes and when people

1382. around you see that ark get lifted up and you start selling

1383. away. No need to be confused about the

  1384. call anymore. Yes, Lord.

  1385. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.

  1386. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.

  1387. Stop running. Stop running.

  1388. Stop running. Stop running.

  1389. Surrender. Yes, Lord.

  1390. Yes Lord. Yes Lord.

  1391. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.

  1392. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.

  1393. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.

  1394. Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.

1395. Yes, Lord. Whoever this is for you can the

1396. anointing is capacity. It gives you capacity.

1397. What is God purging out of your life?

1398. What is God calling you to? Just take the next step.

1399. Just take the next step. You're yes today.

1400. God's next step for you could be man, I need you to clean up your

1401. diet. Yeah, that's a part of call

1402. 'cause he needs you to be healthy, serving his people.

1403. Yes, Lord. Well, PJ and I, we love you guys

1404. to the bottom of our hearts. And we want to see you and God's

1405. people perfected, complete. And I'll tell you this when

1406. talent and gifts, anointing and call are all working together,

1407. there's no greater fulfillment. Yes, Lord, that's what he's been

1408. maturing you for. So he can get you to the Yes

1409. Lord. The perfecting is when He takes

1410. you from yes to I Do be careful in this season how you are

1411. hearing. God the devil wants to take you

1412. out of environments that are perfecting you and put you in

1413. environments that are going to make you dull.

1414. I've been there when I've been excited and I've been new and

1415. I'm coming alive and I love my church.

1416. And then I hear this call and I thought it was and.

1417. A lot of times God could be calling you today for later.

1418. He could show you a promise today that's we're down there

  1419. be. Careful.

1420. How you hear in this season because the worst thing you

1421. could do. Is press pause on the perfecting

1422. thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Jesus.

1423. I want every keyboard player to play under the anointing every

1424. single singer play under the anointing every musician to play

1425. under the anointing every. Usher to serve under the

1426. anointing. Hospitality under the anointing.

1427. I don't want us to be so position oriented that we don't

1428. understand the call. The purpose.

1429. Why do we endure? Because of the call?

1430. Why do we persevere? Because of the call?

1431. Why do we love people because of the call?

1432. Why do we forgive because of the call?

1433. Why would we take the the unpopular route because of the

1434. call? Why do we go through the

1435. wilderness instead of the short route?

1436. Because of the call. The call.

1437. The call is where the anointing is.

1438. The call is where provision is the call is where peace is the

1439. call. Say yes, children of God, yes

  1440. Lord. Gideon was perfected.

1441. Mary was perfected. Elijah was perfected.

1442. Elijah was perfected. Ruth was perfected.

1443. Naomi was perfected. Paul was perfected.

1444. Timothy was perfected. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John

1445. perfected, James perfected. Stephen was perfected.

1446. Mary was perfected, Moses was perfected from the front to the

1447. back. Let us make men in our image and

1448. in our likeness. Pick up your cross, carry it

1449. daily. Ambassadors of Christ call to

1450. the ministry of reconciliation. How can they hear the gospel

1451. unless someone be sent? How can they be saved?

1452. Preach the gospel, teach the gospel, share the gospel, win

1453. souls, make disciples. Heal the sick.

1454. The work of the ministry cast out demons.

1455. The work of the ministry prophesied the work of the

1456. ministry the work. It's not merely the work of

1457. programs for Sunday, but it's the work of day-to-day ministry.

1458. Marriage, the work of the ministry.

1459. Parenting, the work of the ministry.

1460. Kings, the work of the ministry. Athletes, you have the work of

1461. the ministry. Baristas, there's the work of

1462. the ministry. Wherever God calls you, there's

1463. the work of the ministry. Rise up, soldiers, rise up.

1464. Saints. Be perfected, be equipped, be

1465. complete in him that you may know, be rooted in.

1466. Love that you may know. May your inner man be

1467. enlightened that you may know. This is your time, This is your

1468. season to carry the image and the likeness of your Savior, to

1469. walk in the power of the Holy Ghost, to rise up as sons and

1470. daughters. This is your time and this is

1471. our season. Sure, the bumper crop is coming,

1472. but even greater than the bumper crop is the fruit of the Spirit

1473. being up on your life. You will have joy.

1474. You will have peace. You will know how to have

1475. long-suffering. You know you will know how to

1476. stand in the midst of adversity and persecution.

1477. You can make it through that rough thing.

1478. You can. You can that very thing you're

1479. going through right now. God is saying, can you let my

1480. life shine? That's the work of the ministry.

1481. Can you love your enemies? That's the work of the ministry.

1482. Can you skillfully win someone, lead someone to me?

1483. That's the work of the ministry. And God is restoring mantels in

1484. your bloodline. I'll say it one more time.

1485. God is restoring mantels in your bloodline.

1486. So I declare double for your trouble.

1487. The mantle your father laid down you are anointed to pick up.

1488. God has a finishing assignment for your father.

1489. He has a finishing assignment for your father.

1490. But you are going to carry that mantle through the ribbon for

  1491. your family. Hallelujah.

1492. There is no mantle in your bloodline that will be lost.

1493. You will raise children to carry their mantle.

1494. You will raise your children to raise their children to carry

1495. their mantle. Before Jesus returns, your

1496. bloodline will be completely restored.

1497. Run your. Leg of the race.

1498. I cannot wait to hear the testimonies.

1499. I cannot wait to hear from some of you eager people as God has

1500. stirred you up saying I'm ready. I can't wait till you go Bug.

1501. Elder Roseanne and Elder John, Elder Brett, Elder Stacy, you

1502. just whoever you talk to. I cannot wait to hear the I'm

1503. readies, but even more than hear it, I cannot wait to see the

1504. soldiers marching, cannot wait to hear the stories of what God

1505. is doing in people's hearts. And This is why the temptation

1506. to take your talent to wherever you can get big time paychecks

1507. and you can get on bigger platforms and we prostitute our

1508. gifts and that's not what it's called to do.

1509. You are gifts in God's hands that He uses to build His

1510. church. So I come against manipulation.

1511. I come against the devourer of gifts and talents and calls that

1512. you will not be moved by greener grass.

1513. But you will hear clear who's meant to go in the ark with you,

1514. and you won't add and you won't take away.

  1515. But it's time. It's urgent.

1516. Not only the body, but the world needs you.

1517. They need you all of creation, standing on tiptoe waiting for

1518. you to grow up, waiting for your coming out party.

1519. And I declare before this year is out, you will be rooted in

  1520. your. I do.

1521. May the wavering cease and the fruitfulness increase.

1522. Let your yes be yes, yeah, no be no.

1523. And Lord, your servant submits to you, your children.

1524. Ready standing at attention to hear what the Father has for

1525. them. Lord, impart your heart, impart

1526. your burdens, and the one thing we ask, just as Moses, if you do

1527. not go with us, we not going. We need your presence, so we

1528. submit our lives to you, our gifts to you, our talents.

1529. We cast our crowns at your feet and we say Lord use whatever and

1530. whenever we just want you, nothing else in Jesus name,

1531. Amen. Look at your neighbor and just

1532. say don't play with this. We need.

1533. The fear of the Lord. Thank you so much for tuning

1534. into this week's sermon. We pray you were challenged,

1535. equipped and encouraged. Make sure to follow us on all

1536. platforms. That's love quest Intl church.

1537. We out here for real. We're really doing it.

1538. That's Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

1539. You can find us anywhere you need to find us.

1540. But until next time, you know the drill.

1541. You know the motto, get your love fixed man and we'll see

  1542. y'all real soon.
