Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International
-
Church Podcast where we seek to love all nations, equip the
-
church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.
-
We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever
-
you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get
-
your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe
-
some tea, and get ready to receive.
-
It's go time. Let's get into it.
-
I'd love to be a part of a house that is spirit filled, faith
-
filled, fruit filled, love filled in Jesus name.
-
I'm going to say that again, you don't got to you don't got to
-
really holler back. I just love to be a part of a
-
house that is spirit filled. Anybody ever been a?
-
Part of a. Place that's not spirit filled.
-
It's OK to say that you've been to some places that's not spirit
-
filled. But I am happy beyond words can
-
explain to be in a place where the spirit is alive and he has
-
his way. Amen.
-
You can I you know, I I want to activate you right now.
-
You can play some guitar that sounds beautiful during this
-
time. You don't.
-
You ain't got to let them dominate the sound.
-
Starting beef on the worship team.
-
Stringed instruments are anointed when you know how to
-
play them. I appeal to you, therefore don't
-
put up the slides yet. I appeal to you, therefore,
-
brethren, and beg of you in view of all.
-
You you 'cause you still got to direct.
-
Oh. Amen.
-
Beg of you, in view of all the mercies of God, watch this, We
-
just say finished singing the song and I, I love it and we
-
sing a lot of songs about making us a sacrifice.
-
He says that you make a decisive dedication.
-
Romans 12/1. Amplified Classic.
-
You. Make a decisive dedication of
-
your bodies. You make a decisive dedication
-
of your bodies presenting all. Of your members and faculties as
-
a living sacrifice, Holy. Devoted, consecrated, well
-
pleasing to God, watch this. That's at least what you can do
-
your reasonable rational intelligence service and.
-
Spiritual worship. What's spiritual about
-
dedicating my body? Ain't that physical?
-
How was dedicating my physical spiritual?
-
Here's what we do understand is that we are spirit.
-
We possess a soul. We live in a body.
-
I'll say it like. This because I don't want to get
-
off track for the message tonight.
-
But all three work together, just like Father, Son, and Holy
-
Ghost. If we are going to truly live as
-
a living sacrifice, He's come for all three parts of us.
-
Amen. I am the true Vine and my father
-
is the vine dresser. We have begun day.
-
I am the true Vine and my father is the vine.
-
Dresser every branch in me that does not bear fruit.
-
I just, I just encourage you to go to the Lord about what fruits
-
He's talking about. So you don't think you're
-
fruitful when you're not because all fruit ain't good fruit.
-
And as I've learned from my beautiful wife, all fruit ain't
-
in season. Just because it's on sale.
-
Got a bag of grapes the other day and they taste like they in
-
season. I have had grapes out of season
-
or different fruit out of season.
-
It is missing its sweetness. It's an inconsistent batch and
-
So what you have to understand is if you are going to live as a
-
living sacrifice, you have to also reason efficiently, or
-
shall I say diagnose yourself efficiently.
-
I will tell believers you cannot diagnose yourself efficiently
-
without letting the Holy Spirit be the doctor and do the X-ray.
-
Self checks alone are dangerous, especially when you're not
-
honest with yourself. Every branch.
-
Last week we had an A. Let's pick up where we left off.
-
What does every mean? You still have an A?
-
Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and
-
every what does every mean? Every branch that continues to
-
bear fruit he repeatedly prunes. He don't let up on pruning.
-
He is consistently pruning. I love this because an
-
unfruitful branch lose connection with God.
-
A fruitful branch, although being pruned repeatedly, is
-
always engaged with God. Watch this.
-
They always experience the hand of God.
-
Here, here, last one, last one. If God is repeatedly pruning,
-
He's always repeatedly tending to me.
-
Oh, God's going to help some people tonight.
-
He man, it feels. Can I just pause for a minute
-
and tell you how good it feels to have the revelation that He's
-
always tending to me? So that it will bear more fruit.
-
Who or what is it? Huh?
-
Huh. No, not every branch.
-
What are y'all reading or? Come on, Come on, we got clergy
-
just yelling stuff out. What y'all doing?
-
There we go. The.
-
It will bear more fruit is not every branch, but that's what
-
people think because I'm saying right here it is the one that
-
does not bear fruit is connected.
-
That's what you think you you don't read this.
-
You read this as I'm disconnected to God.
-
I think what's worse is that you connected to the body, but you
-
don't. Got no blood flow into that part
-
of the body because you ain't functioning in your joints like
-
you're not you're you're you're here all the time, but your
-
motives is different. Your hearing is different,
-
right? You're at a distance, you're not
-
rooted. Bible says that one kind of
-
ground they fall away after a while after a while can be 3
-
years. Why do they fall away?
-
Because they had no real roots. So if they didn't have real
-
roots, they must have had not real roots or shallow roots,
-
right? Or convince themselves they were
-
rooted because they were serving, right?
-
Doing church things, right? Watch this, watch this, watch
-
this. I'm about to shake up the tree a
-
little bit. I'm about to shake up the tree a
-
little bit, right? Connected, let me, let me do it
-
this way. I'm going to testify so nobody
-
feel attacked. Somebody came to me today and I
-
had a very great conversation with one of the ways they, they
-
were in the midst of repentance for some things and doing some
-
blessing and all these things. And one of the things they said,
-
I realized that I, you know, I, I rebelled a bit.
-
I got to rebuild your spirit a little bit, blah, blah, blah.
-
But I'm faithful, always been faithful, right?
-
Faithful people use their faithfulness as an excuse for
-
many ungodly things. Watch this, watch this.
-
And that person said, I bought a notebook because one of the ways
-
I want to honor you as my pastor is you've asked us to take
-
notes. The small.
-
Fox spoiled the vine. You got this.
-
Why? And I've asked people to take
-
notes multiple times. Maybe if this is my pastor, if I
-
believe he's after my good, if I believe the, the, the the Spirit
-
speaks to him, then if he says take notes, I should be like I
-
received that, like I receive a prophetic word about my family.
-
What if God was saying your breakthrough was going to come
-
through your obedience to note taking?
-
I I was it was it was it Kenneth Hagan?
-
I forget who it was. Somebody came and they.
-
There was rival night and he asked.
-
It was the point in the service where he asked everybody to
-
stand up and do something, turn around and turn around.
-
End of the night came somebody I believe, correct me if I'm
-
wrong. End of the night came and
-
somebody asked him to pray for healing and he said, well God
-
gave me the instructions that everybody that was here for
-
healing tonight to tell them to stand up and turn around.
-
Here's the self entitlement. Well if God is God, he should
-
heal me whenever I want healing. It shouldn't.
-
It shouldn't come upon. You mean to tell me no, you
-
didn't miss your healing, but you can miss a moment.
-
Right. Have you ever missed the bus?
-
It didn't mean what? No more buses coming?
-
You just missed that one. Simple instructions, he didn't
-
say. Take notes and write every word.
-
Connected to the vine and some of us may think connected to
-
Jesus, but not his body. But why would God gives give us?
-
Instruction how? Why would God give us like like
-
something as intricate as the body?
-
Hey, hey, can you help me, Pastor Daniela, that the body
-
actually has systems that make it work proper.
-
And if certain things ain't working proper, you ain't
-
healthy. Even if you feel good
-
every branch in me that does not bear fruit, what does that say?
-
Every branch in me you didn't say.
-
Every branch disconnected from me.
-
Every branch in me that's not bearing fruit, he takes away.
-
In every branch that continues to bear fruit, he repeatedly
-
prunes or he repeatedly perfects, so that it will bear
-
more fruit, even richer and finer fruit.
-
You are already clean because of the word which I have given you,
-
the teachings which I have discussed with you.
-
Watch this. You are already washed, just
-
like you are already holy. You are already consecrated.
-
You are already set apart. Well, if I'm already, then why
-
do I need to keep on doing the the things?
-
The fact that we don't do the things shows we don't have a
-
revelation that we already. If I'm already holy, all I do
-
need to do is learn how to be. Who I am is already set.
-
The standard is set. I was born fruitful in Him, but
-
I have to do these things so fruitful can come out of me.
-
Hidden fruit is not a witness. I'm trying.
-
Come on, you. Come on.
-
Just tell yourself you already washed we.
-
Start this conversation lust. I don't know about you, but I've
-
been super blessed, Elder John. I was I was look, I was I was
-
thinking about this today and and from Genesis.
-
OK, I don't want to rush over the fact that perfection and
-
perfected and perfecting and perfect are all a part of the
-
same family. Can't say that I'm going back to
-
the garden, but I'm going to show up imperfected.
-
The goal of getting back to the garden is getting back to the
-
status in which Adam was before he got dirty, before he fell.
-
I would like to say that when we.
-
When it's all said and done, heaven sounds like it's going to
-
be a perfect place. No talk to me.
-
No think about it. Go ahead, think about it.
-
Adam no sin sound sound perfect unless God created imperfect
-
because the Bible I read it says that he looked at it and it was
-
very good. Yeah.
-
And then it says that the that that that why did Jesus have to
-
be? Why did the sacrifice have to be
-
perfect if imperfect was sufficient?
-
So I'm also not going to so when Jesus says tells that woman to
-
walk away and don't sin no more. Wait a minute, Jesus.
-
Jesus only lived that life. He's pointing to something.
-
No, in this world we will not be perfect.
-
Where we're heading back to it will be perfect.
-
It won't have no darkness. It will be no, no sin.
-
It will be no death. It will be no tears.
-
It will it won't be none of that.
-
It will be nothing but good. We will be in the presence of
-
the perfect one in our perfect bodies.
-
That's what the Bibles are, glorified bodies.
-
And then the perfect one now lives in this body, the perfect
-
one. Anybody want to argue right now,
-
is Jesus perfect or he's not what you think?
-
What makes him perfect? He was without sin.
-
So if if sin imperfected us, then what happens when sin is
-
dealt with? We're what we're made perfect.
-
OK, well, what do we believe our whole faith is built on what
-
happened to sin? It was handled OK.
-
So as long as we're here, we that's why we got to cross back
-
over. If we believe death was
-
defeated, if you believe that sin was handled, then then
-
perfect is in you through the perfect one.
-
So the things that God is asking us to do is actually really.
-
Fair. It's just impossible without
-
him, because if if if, if I'm if I'm tracking right.
-
Adam perfect man, Eve, perfect man.
-
Sin came, they fell imperfect. Now watch this.
-
Watch this. If you was to sum up the whole
-
Bible in one statement, word, or motive by God, here's what it is
-
the entire journey. From beginning to end, God has
-
been perfecting His people, and to do it once and for all, the
-
perfect one came. OK.
-
All right. What what's all this for?
-
PT 'cause I just found me another key.
-
I just simplified the Bible in one word.
-
This all he up to, this what your Valley's for, this what you
-
going through hard times for. This this what you got to
-
experience the cross for because from the day man fail, he's been
-
trying to perfect us to get us back to perfect.
-
So there are some things that you can overcome and just be,
-
and there's some stuff you you can stop trying to overcome
-
because you're more than a what does more than a conqueror mean
-
is that thing don't bother me no more.
-
I am so far from even being tempted by more than a
-
conqueror. I'm not even tempted by it no
-
more. I'm going to say I'm not tempted
-
by it no more. I have more than conquered
-
partying, smoking and drinking. I I'm not tempted no more.
-
I don't look at it and it's beneath me.
-
I don't need counsel about it. I don't need hey hey, hey,
-
please help me because I came so close to you, not in your more
-
than conqueror yet. As I was preparing, I was like,
-
man, we're in a world where, man, it could be so much more
-
popular to talk about like relationships and talk about,
-
you know, financial increase and, you know, all the things
-
that we want and desire to help you on your day-to-day life and,
-
you know. Like very practical things about
-
family and and then he, he's like son.
-
The Apostolic grace will always 'cause people to focus on me,
-
period. Watch this.
-
We've read that he said the high calling, the perfecting only
-
comes to equip you for high calling.
-
It doesn't come for relationship goals.
-
The high calling watch it, he tells us in Isaiah 60 to get up,
-
arise shine from get up from that prostrated, prostrated
-
means face down. In other words, get up from
-
looking at low living, get up from being focused on this
-
lowlife, get up from being being get up from the the lesser life
-
and begin to live a never. The high calling is the
-
nevertheless life. Stop worried about this and
-
worried about that and worried about them and worried about
-
that. Then he says.
-
Fix your eyes on me and I'll give you perfect What peace you
-
look at the perfect 1 to get perfect peace.
-
Ephesians one I always pray that the God of our Lord Jesus
-
Christ, the Father of glory, may grant you a spirit of wisdom and
-
revelation that gives you a deep and personal and intimate
-
insight into the true knowledge of him.
-
For we know the Father through the Son.
-
We know the Father through the Son.
-
We know the Father through the Son.
-
And I pray that the eyes of your heart, the very center and core
-
of your being, May. Be enlightened and flooded with
-
light by the Holy Spirit, so that you.
-
Will know and cherish I don't want to run over no right here's
-
what no is like you didn't even think about your chair might be
-
broke. You just knew it was going to
-
hold you up see you ready for this when you enter into this
-
place. I actually don't even have to
-
think about obedience. I don't have to think about who
-
I am I don't have to think about if this will work I don't have
-
to think about will God come through.
-
I don't have to think about if I'm called I don't have to think
-
about if I'm anointed I don't have to think about if God is
-
thinking of me. I don't have to think about if I
-
can make it. I don't have to think about it
-
because my I have been enlightened.
-
I have been. Flooded with light by the Holy
-
Spirit. I love this image.
-
It's because when someone is, Have you ever looked at a
-
floodlight for how long? Not long.
-
So what he's telling you is there's a measure of depth in
-
Him that will cause you to not be able to have to see.
-
It is some stuff. I'm just walking with Jesus and
-
he's just doing it. I just believe you, God, because
-
I know that I know that I know that I know that I know that I
-
know that I know that I know that I know.
-
And this knowing goes beyond knowing the Greek and Hebrew
-
'cause there's a whole lot of scholars, biblical scholars,
-
that don't know. They've been enlightened, but
-
not enlightened. And cherish the hope, the divine
-
guarantee, somebody say guarantee the confident
-
expectation. Somebody say confident
-
expectation, not a shaken expectation.
-
It is a confident expectation to which he has somebody say called
-
you. So everything we just read right
-
there, he called you to. He called you to He called you
-
to walk in his life, knowing him on earth as it is in heaven,
-
knowing unshakeable, unshakeable to reign the riches of his
-
glorious inheritance. Watch this so that.
-
You. You.
-
You. You.
-
Will know without a shadow of doubt.
-
Walk in, embrace the riches of his glorious inheritance in the
-
Saints, God's people, and so that you will begin to know what
-
the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of his
-
active, active, active spiritual power watch.
-
This is in US. Oh, there, there, there that
-
buck go though. Who believe, who believe, they
-
say, who wondering who's wondering who believe?
-
These are in accordance with the working of his mighty strength.
-
Watch this enlightened, enlightened.
-
Somebody say enlightened. It implies a total shift.
-
I I, I like this. I like this.
-
I like this, I like this. I got this older Bible that I
-
got when I in that 2007 period in my life and I was looking
-
through it today and it's tore up.
-
It's tore up. And it just took.
-
Me. Back to that time in my life
-
where I made the decision. Decisive dedication.
-
And I got a wife over there that's a great witness.
-
You can bring her to the stand anytime you want.
-
But it was a play, that moment in 2007.
-
Remember, I was already in him. I grew up in church, went to
-
church a bunch. And then 2007, I could not
-
resist anymore answering the call.
-
Some of you think you answered the call because you serve.
-
Serving a position in church isn't necessarily.
-
The call, you're fulfilling a need.
-
Rather, I pastor at this church or somewhere else.
-
Or if I don't pastor, I'm called.
-
If if I don't pastor, I'm not out of my call.
-
And so much of our understanding of call is connected to our
-
ability, and then your ability is wrapped up in your identity.
-
And to be enlightened means a total shift from minimized,
-
capped out earthly perspective to a broader heavenly
-
perspective, allowing one to grasp the profound implications
-
of faith and God's promises. It's about seeing beyond the
-
surface and understanding the deeper spiritual realities of
-
light Man. This is all we talk about.
-
Watch this. Anybody remember heavenly
-
realities? These are all scriptures we talk
-
about and now we're here, and the perfect thing is to lead us
-
to live in this heavenly reality.
-
Watch this daily. It's about putting the mantle on
-
and wearing and owning everything that comes with the
-
mantle. Get your hands off the mantle.
-
Stop trying to control the mantle.
-
And I'm talking about there's some of you in here that, that,
-
that you, you, you ain't even afraid to to dig into what the
-
call on your life is. Yeah, some of you as pastor,
-
Yeah, yeah, some of you, God put a word in you and you are called
-
to be a minister of the gospel, which everybody is.
-
But you are called to preach the gospel in more than just on your
-
everyday life. You are called to be a part of
-
the clergy, called to be a part of an Apostolic team where you
-
teach, where you preach the gospel.
-
Some of you need to be, you know, No, no.
-
Everybody should do the work of an evangelist.
-
Everybody should win souls. But there are some people who
-
are called. To be an evangelist.
-
The way you talk, the way you inspire people, the way you care
-
about the fish, the way you care about being strategic about
-
catching you. You go to God and say, God give
-
me. Wisdom on how to reach that soul
-
pastor, you care about the people so much and when you're
-
When that gift is not used in context, you can have unhealthy
-
pastoral habits and it comes strictly the way reason you love
-
so hard or even maybe you are codependent.
-
Some of that is because you got a pastoral call, but the devil
-
turns it into something else. And it's OK, you care about
-
those people, but as long. As you are pastoring outside of
-
putting on the cloak, then it can be manipulated and you can
-
do more damage to the body and in the world than you can for
-
good. Let me let me help you.
-
There is no just general call where you could just treat the
-
call of God casual. You can't just walk around, be
-
carrying something and don't have no aim, don't have no
-
teaching, don't have no accountability, don't have no
-
mentorship. Then we had a prophet come up in
-
here, a prophet S and one of the questions before I don't mind
-
God sending a prophet to our house that ain't a member of our
-
house. And he, He or she.
-
Comes to this house and say they have a word from God, but you
-
ain't about to get no microphone.
-
Before we asked a couple questions.
-
Number one, what church you go to?
-
It was like, you know, I don't got no church.
-
God got me out on the road. Will you just stay on the road
-
or you just come get rooted before you just start releasing
-
words? It's not control when we asking
-
people to do things in order, it's order.
-
Show me a Bible with no order and it ain't the Bible.
-
Jesus was all about order. So you got people that want to
-
walk around and give people a word in the house but don't want
-
to be submitted in the house. So so so oh so the Holy Ghost
-
using you, but you don't want to fall in the line the Holy Ghost
-
put in place. Talk to me about how that it
-
don't it don't mean you might have a word.
-
But what's that thing inside of you that don't want to lay your
-
gift down for the body? That's why we went over last
-
week, and we'll keep this before you.
-
Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers govern,
-
guide, gather, guard, and ground.
-
How many people understand everything about the government
-
like the. World's government.
-
Does anybody ever understood everything about the government?
-
No. Come talk to me.
-
Anybody ever understood everything about the government?
-
So how you going to? Understand everything about
-
God's government then, right, Right.
-
So when we looking at a governing house or a governing
-
body, OK, you're not necessarily going to understand how God
-
moves because he's governing. He he's governing.
-
Governing looks different than guarding.
-
Most of the time when I see guarding, I know what I'm
-
guarding people from and what I'm guarding for.
-
When I'm teaching, there's very, there's specifics.
-
I'm grounding you. So there has to be understanding
-
or there's no grounding, right? If we're in the last days, then
-
the first is being restored. Bible says in first Corinthians,
-
first apostles first, second prophets, third teachers, then
-
workers of miracles. You want to see why we don't see
-
miracles in a way that we should, but we see them overseas
-
and stuff, man overseas. Go over there.
-
There's a lot more churches set up, more like Kingdom, a lot of
-
honor, lot of order and they doing it with 10s of thousands
-
of people. Why are we not saying miracles
-
like that? Like Miracles is supposed to be
-
for revival nights and even those don't have miracles.
-
We just, we just fell out in the spirit Christians that are super
-
healthy and don't need too much material and we and we just fell
-
out. Whoa.
-
And we just high Christians you chasing encounters.
-
But but that ain't even how the church was birthed.
-
The church was birthed ministering to those that was
-
not following Jesus through signs and wonders.
-
When you find a region where all 5 gifts are activated, they are
-
acknowledged and they are honored, you will see a region
-
that is unstoppable. He gave these gifts.
-
Why? We learned his intention was the
-
perfecting. Somebody say perfecting and the
-
full equals Somebody say well what does fool mean?
-
Right. If you ever rented, have you
-
ever rented a car before? You ever rented a car and you
-
supposed to return it on what full have you ever returned it
-
under? Full.
-
It cost you. It cost you more than if you
-
would have just stopped and got it filled up.
-
It costs you because when you don't return the field, part of
-
you paying for the fuel, but also you're paying for somebody
-
that have to go do something that's unnecessary if you would
-
have did your. Part the perfecting, the
-
maturing, the growing up and the full equipping of the Saints.
-
We found this out. You guys all got a a last week.
-
Who who's the Saints? Us.
-
Me. His consecrated people that that
-
they here it is here. It is that they who is they?
-
The Saints and who's the Saints, Right, right, right.
-
I'm up here, right. I'm one of the five.
-
I'm one of the five, OK? I'm one of the five.
-
Go back, go back, go back, go back, go back.
-
I'm, I'm up in here, OK, I'm up in here.
-
So up in here, everybody up in here.
-
Was he is called to do what go, go, go, go, go.
-
He gave those gifts to do what the maturing and full equipping
-
of the US's and me's right, and who's the US's and me's Now I
-
know somebody's going to be like PT you're a St. too.
-
I am. But go back, go back, go back,
-
go back, go back. But in this house, God is
-
ordained me and other people to do it up in here, up in here, we
-
up in here, we up in here, right?
-
That's I, I didn't ask for it. I just obeyed, OK.
-
And I love it it it has an S. So this house ain't just going
-
to be 1 pastor, 1 evangelist, 1 teacher.
-
No, God is going to send an equipping.
-
Let me tell you something. This is, this is, look, I, I
-
love, I love movie church. I love, I love showing up.
-
I, I get the idea. But that's evangelism.
-
That's evangelism. But you can't tell me if you, I
-
don't care if you got 300 people in your church.
-
That ain't another teacher. It ain't another pastor.
-
It ain't somebody else that can go go up on that platform and do
-
the thing, huh? But there's because the house,
-
the the the lead gift is not there.
-
Then there's no activation of the rest.
-
Watch what? Watch this Watch this Watch this
-
Watch this. And his intention?
-
Was to mature, mature mature, mature, grow up, challenge,
-
shake up. Fully equipping other Saints.
-
Who's the Saints? One more time, Extra credit.
-
Extra credit. Who's you?
-
Me. Us.
-
Them. Y'all, My neighbor.
-
Watch this, Watch this, watch this.
-
Equip you that they, they, they, they should do the work.
-
Now watch this, watch this, watch this, watch this, watch
-
this. Good grounds might think their
-
job is to make coffee and pastries, but depending on who
-
barista in and who's serving the coffee, if they're not aware of
-
the call on a life, they stop at making coffee.
-
Versus understanding that as I am dealing with customers, I can
-
do the work. I'm anointed to do the work of
-
the ministry. So there might be a word up on
-
me to share. There might be a creative way I
-
could teach something, right? The work is not necessarily the
-
position. OK, why did I have to call Elder
-
John out? Ain't he an elder?
-
Ain't that enough? No, he's an elder in this house
-
for a specific reason. But I would make a huge mistake
-
not setting the mantle of profit that is on his life through God,
-
through Jesus, through the Holy Spirit revealing to me and
-
acknowledging it, activating it and honoring it and coming
-
before the people, no matter what you think.
-
And we are setting a prophet in this house because that's what
-
he said. He set these gifts.
-
But he can be like, man, I'm not no prophet.
-
I'm an elder. Well, you're not an elder,
-
you're John. Well, you're not John, you're a
-
son want more than a son? I'm a husband.
-
See how that work? Which one he male he son he
-
profit. What is he he light skinned.
-
What right? What is he right?
-
When we get down to it, What is he see all these things are
-
things that God. Fearfully and wonderfully made
-
him as to assist the call. Right, you, you cute, but you're
-
not called to be sexy, right? Right.
-
You're not called to be sexy, but God could use your cute for
-
the sake of the ministry. OK, God can use my tall God.
-
God uses intentionally my skin. I'm not, I don't.
-
I don't look at all man. I was just I was born in the
-
black community. No, no, no, no, Everybody was
-
born at the specific time that God ordained in the family he
-
ordained. That's in the book of Acts in
-
the region you was you are in. You can call it a mistake all
-
you want, but God makes none for the perfecting.
-
So if God decided to make me and put me in this body, well, he
-
going to use this skin. What the enemy want to do is to
-
get me ashamed of it. If God gave me a sense of humor,
-
I can't let you mute. Me because God's going to use
-
that, but I'm going to get to that in a minute.
-
Gifts, talents and all that cool stuff.
-
It's going to bless you. It's going to bless you.
-
Watch this that it might develop.
-
Some of you in here, you have stopped at showing up and
-
serving in a ministry and then when somebody come your way.
-
And start that maturing. You're like, I don't really have
-
no time. I don't really, no, you don't
-
have time to do stuff and do more stuff and do more stuff.
-
You don't have time for more task and you think someone's
-
calling you for more task, not understanding that the task
-
creates proximity. Proximity creates time and time
-
around the anointing that needs to be imparted is what?
-
OK, Ask Elisha. Ask Naomi and Ruth.
-
Why? Why Elisha?
-
Like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
-
Yeah, I could go back over here and I could go back over there.
-
But there's something on your life that I need to be around.
-
So I ain't going nowhere. Wherever you go, I'm going.
-
No, no, no, I'm here. You stopping?
-
I'm stopping. You start running.
-
I'm running. And today, man, ain't nobody
-
chasing after no man. Sure, OK, if you're a Bible
-
reader, show me where God didn't use nobody.
-
He had to use somebody so much that he had to send his son to
-
be a body. So some can be saved.
-
Somebody. Somebody saved you.
-
Some human saved you. Yeah.
-
And to this day, God is still sending men and women with
-
something that He has put inside of them just for you.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no, follow me as I follow Christ.
-
And the moment you discover I'm not following Christ, stop
-
following me. Find somebody that's following
-
Christ, he says. Real, really mature
-
completeness. Y'all remember Ephesians 4?
-
Read on Sunday. And you do.
-
I got 10 people, if you remember that.
-
Cool. The rest of y'all that wasn't
-
here. You just got to go listen to the
-
message. I got to move right along.
-
Watch. This.
-
We did, yeah. We read all the Ephesians and we
-
talked about apathy, right? Then we talked about spiritual
-
apathy, Lukewarmness. You remember that, right?
-
Lukewarmness. Has always been in and and it's
-
a part. It has been a part of the church
-
revelations. We see the church in Laodicea,
-
they're rebuked because they were neither hot or cold, but
-
they were what? Lukewarm?
-
The Church of Ephesus neglected. They'll get it, They'll get it.
-
The Church of Ephesus is warned about losing their first love
-
and needing to repent and return to their initial passion for
-
God. Here we are.
-
This has always been in the DNA of the church and in the book of
-
Hebrews highlights the importance of not neglecting
-
spiritual growth and actively pursuing a deeper relationship
-
with God. God warns us of being lukewarm.
-
He warns us of making our love or or making idols out of
-
others. And neglecting our first love
-
and keeping Him first. And then he warns us to not
-
abandon spiritual growth and actively pursue a deeper
-
relationship with God. He tells the body to get
-
creative about spurring each other on.
-
Right. We are supposed to be active.
-
That's why I can't hang out with lukewarm people, at least by
-
myself. I need people hot around me and
-
lukewarm people because I got to, I got to, I got to make sure
-
I don't fall into any of this and to act like you are exempt
-
from this or to ignore when God is sending a warning to this.
-
We can't be lukewarm, spew you out or fruitlessness, he says.
-
I'll take it away. So whether you're spewed out or
-
pruned off, whether you're lukewarm or you're not fruitful,
-
and what the enemy wants you to do is be so busy focused on
-
monetary fruitfulness and achievements to show men so you
-
can get men's approval. And many of us make decisions
-
based on somebody approving us, not God.
-
We want accolades that, well, if my name is connected to this and
-
this and this person and it's this whole the world is, we can
-
get the same shirt. No, probably not from Walmart,
-
but you throw a little polo on the shirt.
-
And automatically people think you got something in your pocket
-
because you're wearing polo. So you got a whole world that
-
want name brand. And I'm like, I can't spend 500
-
on a plain T-shirt because the tag got Gucci on it.
-
I'll spend, you know, a little something that reigning champ.
-
$40.50 dollars, 60 bucks, maybe 70 bucks for a nice you know, I
-
can see color again T-shirt. They'd be selling them in, in,
-
in, over, in, in Surrey. Watch this Ephesians 420.
-
But you did not so learn Christ. In other words, you didn't learn
-
this from T If you really heard the word, assuming that you have
-
really heard the word, assuming that you have really heard from
-
the Holy Ghost, you ain't learned that lukewarm stuff from
-
anointed teaching. You ain't learned that from
-
anointed leadership. You ain't learned that from
-
Jesus. You ain't learned complacency.
-
You ain't learned fear, for God did not give us the spirit of
-
fear. Where did you learn?
-
Where did we learn this lukewarm, complacent, passive
-
church? Where did we learn?
-
In the Bible? Show me in the Bible, even the
-
apostle said it is not fair that I should be studying so I can
-
preach, so I can come serve food.
-
So we going activate some people to do that so we can do what we
-
call to do. And when everybody is doing what
-
they call to do, as faithful as they call to do it, then the
-
body grows and is strengthened and nobody gets missed.
-
Yeah, yeah. Burnout ain't going to happen.
-
Burnout happens a lot because the toe ain't getting the the
-
toe tired because the the toe tired of carrying the weight.
-
The big toe should carry, right? The big toe would go out and eat
-
burgers with the baby toe. We don't want to carry no
-
weight, right? We will socialize.
-
We will do community groups way quicker then we'll pick up that
-
cross of our neighbors. We we'll we'll community group
-
all day. We'll minister to people all day
-
on our own, but we won't come up under the equipping in a humble
-
manner. We won't ask questions that
-
reveal right. We'll sit and get fed, but we
-
won't come and ask questions and humble ourselves and say, I
-
really don't know this, but this is a new way of me doing things.
-
Can you can you give me understanding?
-
Right. It's like I'm about to, I'm
-
about to go get this word. Please go home and make sure
-
what we preach in is sound based on the word, not based on your
-
opinion, not based on your. Fear not based on your church
-
hurt based on the. The the, the word, go, go check
-
it out. But a lot of time we get fed, we
-
interpret what we need and we use it for our ministry.
-
It's great. But when I look at the word,
-
there's a connection that the church has and there's an order.
-
And here's the thing, you are not always them.
-
What I mean by that, our job is to equip you so that you're
-
equipping them and then when they're equipped, they're going
-
to have them, they're equipping. So don't think that you always
-
are here. It is a student you technically.
-
Are but it's this fear of you're not just going to put me in
-
student mode all the time. Well, I'm in student mode all
-
the time. Jesus was in student mode.
-
It's a healthy system. As much as we stay student, we
-
also remain teacher. We're all called to make
-
disciples. The Perfecting Based on
-
Ephesians 2423. The perfecting starts with the
-
stripping. Strip yourself.
-
I love that word. It's aggressive.
-
It speaks to urgency. There's some of you in right
-
now. You.
-
You don't need another meeting. You don't need another
-
conversation. Strip yourself.
-
You know how powerful walking with God is, is you can actually
-
make a decisive decision tonight and actually walk in it like
-
like like in in June 2007, you asked the greatest, one of the
-
greatest witnesses in my life, like when I made that decision
-
like, like I made the decision in June of 2007 and I haven't
-
turned back ever since in that moment, right, I believe, I
-
believe, I believe the Lord has told me to tell you guys that
-
even if you make a date tonight, when you going to make a
-
decision to walk away from whatever, at least make the
-
date. But when the date show up, honor
-
it. You know how people make dates
-
to get married. You can make a date tonight,
-
right now. Now, let me tell you, I made a
-
date and then I almost didn't make it to that date.
-
It was a close call. I had the audacity to make a
-
deal with God when he said now, when God say now, he mean now.
-
And I had some shows booked and I was like, Lord, I got a band.
-
I don't want to take money off the table because I take money
-
off the table. I'll take food off the table.
-
So these last three shows, man car broke down.
-
All kind of crazy stuff happened.
-
I barely, barely made it, but I made it.
-
But I made a date. I heard the call.
-
And I didn't. Play with it.
-
And from that month, here's what Here's what happened.
-
Answering the call, the first step was I dove head first into
-
discovering what walking in that call meant for my life.
-
Out of that obedience, God took me to a man of God that rooted
-
me in faith, taught me all about faith like I've never known
-
before, and He taught me all about soul winning.
-
Doctor Godot, I owe him everything when it comes to the
-
importance of soul winning and the importance of faith
-
teaching. Part of my Bible being so jacked
-
up is because the way he taught back then, you know, iPad, he
-
got iPad now. But man, man, you had your Bible
-
out. He was a Word of Faith.
-
You had your Bible out. You had your highlighter out.
-
He turned with me to you hear number pages.
-
Turning in the church students. And I said under my wife said
-
under that word, under that ministry, my wife got filled
-
with the Holy Ghost. I mean, remember, remember, I
-
grew up in church. I got filled with the Holy Ghost
-
in 2007. I got my heavenly prayer
-
language. I had an encounter and got some
-
deliverance. And I dove in that word.
-
I dove in that word. And I was.
-
Willing to sit in that church under that word, under that
-
leadership until he had the man of God that was designed to,
-
that had something that I needed.
-
I had to be perfected. He said, hey, we need you over
-
here in the youth ministry. I didn't go to that church to be
-
a youth pastor. We need you over there in the
-
youth ministry. Absolutely, Sir.
-
Not one time did he ever have to check on me.
-
Once we took it like it was our own.
-
Was it hard? Yeah, But I I didn't have no say
-
of what my call was. I said yes.
-
And I understood that that man, that woman, that family, those
-
leaders had something in them that I needed or God wouldn't
-
have brought me there. And so I.
-
Surrendered under that and I submitted under that.
-
My wife did and he taught me how to be a husband and he talked.
-
And a part of my servant is what gave me proximity, because a
-
part of that servant got me to sit at the table and get
-
intricate wisdom from the man, not knowing I'll be in Canada
-
building from the ground. Up.
-
I saw how he dealt with people. I saw how he dealt with
-
persecution. I saw how he dealt with people
-
lying. I saw how he dealt with a man
-
stealing $1,000,000 from him. I saw how he sold into his
-
enemies. I saw how he loved his children,
-
saw how he loved his wife. I saw how he climbed.
-
Help this church climb out of crazy debt when the economy.
-
Shifted. I watched and I watched and then
-
I got the audacity to think I was ready for my own ministry
-
and boy was that a hard lesson. But the grace of God took me to
-
another house. I wasn't.
-
I was OK with walking away from the church that we planted.
-
That church had my Mama in it. That church had my auntie in it.
-
That church had my best friend in it.
-
That church had some other folks in it.
-
And then I noticed that the church was being.
-
Purged. I said God, what is this?
-
He said. Now I know, and immediately we
-
got up about that YMCA, but before I left, I remember a lady
-
in our church, Miss Paley, she said when you go to Oakland, you
-
go visit Bishop Carl Smith. I didn't do it the whole year,
-
but at that moment when things got purged, I went to the house
-
and I sat hungry by myself. Hungry.
-
And I was sitting there and I was doing what?
-
Taking notes. The Bishop looked over in the
-
middle of his in his message said Hey son.
-
You a pastor? I said yes, Sir.
-
He said I knew it. He said come see me after
-
church. Went up to him After church.
-
He came out of his office. I waited on him, came up, shook
-
my hand. He said where you from?
-
Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. No, I went to the doctor.
-
G's church. I'm out of here, man.
-
I know you're down there. Come see me at our other campus
-
on Monday. I go to the campus.
-
First thing he did was walk me to the church bookstore.
-
First book he put in my hand he had the book was called The
-
shift from from Pastoral to Apostolic.
-
God had me sitting for a season to understand faith, understand
-
who I was in God, understand the promises of God, understand that
-
whole world, understand teaching the gospel.
-
Then he took me under another anointing and I sat there for
-
four years and he had He ordained me to be an elder.
-
He asked me to be over the youth ministry.
-
And we served and I'll tell you this, in that time, my wife
-
wasn't even feeling that church like that.
-
She loved it. But but but there was something
-
God had there for me. He gave me that book by by John
-
Eckhart. And I was like, and that season
-
God was showing me the mantle and I dove so deep in that
-
thing. And then I remember reading
-
because I was hungry for a spiritual father.
-
I was hungry for covering. I was hungry and my soul began
-
to long for the relationship I had with Doctor G.
-
And I remember sending them in, seeing them in a conference.
-
I remember my friends I had to I wasn't even able to go back and
-
do certain things because we walked away prematurely.
-
We thought that the anointing we said under I was ready now
-
didn't understand the power of what was going on because of
-
what I was under. That's Bible to go look at it
-
and I remember I was reading this book like Lord and I.
-
Understood. I had some unhealthy
-
expectations from these pastors in my life.
-
And for once I understood I was expecting them to respond to me
-
how long my biological father to and I didn't realize that they
-
were there for my spiritual journey, not my biological
-
trauma. And once I got context right, I
-
could receive right. And I remember reading this book
-
called rooted. I think it was by Pastor Banning
-
from Jesus culture and man, I read through that book and I'm
-
glad I don't read books from front to back all the time.
-
I read the chapters where I need, I need, I need to read the
-
season man. OK, I don't have no pride like
-
well, I just finished. The mother book, Nah, give me
-
the chapter that's going to help me today and went to this
-
chapter and out of all that, that book wasn't even talking
-
about spiritual fathers. But I found this spot my wife
-
had went to the store, pick up the kids and it talked about
-
covering. I remember being in the living
-
room and I fell on my face and repented to God.
-
Doctor G blessed us to go. He would never tell us not to
-
go. But I had to repent for pride,
-
orphan spirit, rebellion, and that whole time that I was gone
-
from Calvary, I was coming to Canada.
-
After four years of being at this church, this other church
-
being equipped, the Lord said it's time to go back.
-
What? Go back and long story.
-
Short I went back and I remember seeing Doctor G at a conference
-
and I said, Sir, I'm coming back home.
-
He's like, good. He's a little bitter because of
-
what we meant to that house and all that He shared in our lives.
-
I thought I was called to go and save Oakland.
-
God used it. God honored it.
-
That's how I know you can still be out of order, and God will
-
use it and He will teach you, and He will equip you in your
-
rebellion. Right, God has a way to make
-
what your rebellion look like. You hurting and I swore I did.
-
I had all the reasons. And I remember going back to
-
Calvary and I remember he was like, I'm not going to let you
-
be over youth, but you can help my son out.
-
I was like man, I remember about 10 months in, it was time me and
-
my wife made the decision because we were made to offer
-
come to Canada and I'll tell you we struggled in that season of
-
our lives because of a decision I was making.
-
But one thing that always is and always will be is I wasn't
-
afraid to miss God. Trying to find.
-
God I made quick. U turns quick.
-
And I remember we talked and it was like, yeah, we feel called
-
to Canada. We prayed.
-
And we both agreed if we go to Doctor G and he says, Nope, we
-
ain't going. I know that's that's just not
-
this generation, right? We hear from God.
-
Ain't nobody going to tell me I ain't heard from God.
-
He didn't tell me and he wasn't telling us.
-
We didn't hear from God. But we had entrusted him with
-
our lives in leadership and we went and he was like, it is
-
time. It is time you guys are ready.
-
That country needs you guys and I'm proud to see you guys.
-
Off to Canada, few months in, everything changed.
-
God, what do you want? Us.
-
We met the Swains. Elder John.
-
Don't know. I'm weary because I've been.
-
I've been searching for a while and now I'm in another country
-
with my family. My one year old, my 8 year old,
-
my 10 year old. Elder John, his answer when I'm
-
asking him for guidance. You should do.
-
Whatever you think going to lead you to know the Lord the most.
-
Thanks buddy. Because it wasn't just love
-
Quest in our mind, it was also being pastor of another church
-
potentially. We applied.
-
It was in Dawson Creek. Hallelujah.
-
And I got bits of bits of wisdom and I do music and things.
-
I remember getting a piece of wisdom from someone and they
-
were like, culture goes from the inner city out.
-
You'll have more impact on British Columbia by being where
-
culture is derived from than going out and trying to
-
establish it there. These little pieces, I'm leaning
-
in, I'm listening, and we decided to start a love quest.
-
And many of you heard that story.
-
Few people. And here we are.
-
We go to New West, Elder said. They're going to give us a try,
-
they're going to help us out, and we go to Strathcona and
-
we're still pursuing God and we go now we're here.
-
The last four years, almost half of our existence in this country
-
has been waiting on this building, but this building,
-
Strathcona. Closed doors, the coldness of
-
some of the church folks in this country, all none of that
-
determines my call. But all of it perfects me.
-
And the moment that any one of these journeys stops, I could
-
have walked through it. COVID was the perfect time.
-
Perfect. Perfect time to go back home.
-
It's. Two years in man, let's go back
-
to Cali, right? And every now and then God will
-
call again. Not like call again, but remind
-
you, you called. I haven't forgotten your call.
-
You would see him with Moses. You would see him with Abraham,
-
and he'll send an Angel. He'll send signs, and then he'll
-
pop up and say something and he'll go away.
-
And I believe this is a moment where some of you have heard the
-
call on your life. You know, it's a call on your
-
life beyond just being a Christian, beyond just setting
-
up chairs. Some of you were born into it,
-
and the enemy has done so much to discourage you, to water down
-
the call. No, the call is a thing.
-
It's not this passive thing. Somebody needs your.
-
I do. I don't know why I spent time
-
telling you that long story, but I just know.
-
I knew when I was a young boy, the way I would look at the
-
pastors and the preachers and my friends would look at Michael
-
Jordan. I was looking at Bishop such and
-
such. And I loved Doctor King and I
-
loved how how how social leaders brought people together and
-
advocates and spoke for people. And so when I got to college, I
-
was like, I want to be a psychologist and a public
-
speaker. And I found out that's pretty
-
much a pastor, right? You start putting, you start,
-
you start making your call secular.
-
And I think it's very dangerous to not identify call first so
-
that you can pick major and minor.
-
You might not discover call in major and minor, but you could
-
probably save money if you understood call and then picked
-
the last part of my little story.
-
I remember that. I think this is to help a couple
-
people. I remember I was frustrated.
-
Assigned to play professional baseball out of high school.
-
Spent some time being an assistant mascot for the
-
Warriors for one for a partial year.
-
I worked out in their facilities.
-
I was around pro ball players. I played against pro ball
-
players and did very well. And I'm like, God, why didn't
-
you send me the help to lead me and guide me?
-
Why was I always on these journeys by myself?
-
My mom, my grandmother supported me.
-
They were in the stands. But I'm sitting here fathering
-
this guy's fathering these kids and I'm like, man, if I had half
-
of this to have someone pay attention to me and protect me.
-
And when I'm getting ready to make a dumb decision, they're
-
there to give me wisdom every day without me running them away
-
because I'm huffing and puffing because I don't want to hear it
-
no more. And I remember I almost worked
-
myself up to be mad at God because I was, you know, I
-
worked that gap. I worked at Foot Locker, I
-
worked at the movies, I worked at Taco Bell.
-
I was just searching for purpose and I remember God so kindly
-
said what did you were you naturally in, tuned in, engaged
-
with, passionate about? And loved when you were little.
-
Like what did you look up to? And I remember.
-
Sitting there on my own watching Martin Luther King
-
documentaries. Micah's age, I remember saying.
-
Doctor Martin Luther King writing my own speech, my own
-
little freestyle rap for the citywide Black History Month
-
thing. I remember watching these shows
-
about leaders. I remember sitting there as a
-
little boy. I made my Mama stay at church
-
until the pastor was leaving. That's where I've learned after
-
church, having meetings with people in the office and when I
-
walk out, nobody. Else is here.
-
I grew up seeing it and I remember in that moment God
-
said, remember your heart used to burn when you saw the pastor
-
walk out the his office and walk up to the pulpit.
-
So that's why I understand when the little kids come up and run
-
up to me and shake my hand and, and, and they come in here with
-
a, with a suit jacket on with a tie.
-
And they and they parents tell me they want to be a pastor.
-
I understand that and when you as a parent see.
-
That that's God because they can look up, they can come here with
-
a baseball bat and be like, I want to be a baseball player.
-
And in that moment, Lord says. Son, you were called to do this,
-
and ever since that moment, I had clarity and peace that I was
-
called. I wasn't striving to do.
-
And there's some of you in here. I was about to take you to Noah.
-
Noah was called to make an ark because he was the one found
-
righteous. Noah had a call, but Noah also
-
had a few people that was permitted to go with them.
-
Noah was anointed for a purpose, Noah was gifted for a purpose,
-
and Noah was talented for a purpose.
-
And there's people in here you have lost your way because the
-
world through life, you just kind of, I've had to work
-
because I have to make ends meet.
-
Oh, I got hurt, so I went this way.
-
Or when I went to school, I was influenced by this, so I went
-
that way. I did drugs, so I went that way.
-
Can you get back to when you were pure and innocent and not
-
fearful? What?
-
What was that thing? What was that thing?
-
I remember sitting in Taco Bell or a restaurant and my stomach
-
used to turn as a little kid watching humans eat.
-
That were by themselves. There was this compassion I had
-
for humanity as a little boy and.
-
If you pay close enough tension, you see it in different types of
-
kids when they're little in their pure state.
-
What is it? What have you gotten away from?
-
Where in your life were you functioning in call but you
-
fail, or you got discouraged or you got disappointed?
-
Where was that? You need to repent tonight and
-
return because the body needs you.
-
So what? You didn't get attention?
-
So what? You didn't get paid for it?
-
So what? They, they, they didn't like
-
you. So what?
-
They teased you. So what?
-
They didn't value your gift? So what?
-
They fired you? So what?
-
The call is still on you. Oh, I got married and and my
-
spouse don't. It's hard having kids and it's
-
stop making family an excuse. God ain't put your call on pause
-
till your kids move out. Yeah.
-
Who are you? You could put those questions
-
up, please. You start with the gifts really
-
quickly and I want you to take pictures.
-
I mentioned this Sunday and even now be praying there's some of
-
you, man, you, you here it is. Some of you are functioning your
-
gifts ready for this. Watch this, watch this.
-
Now I want everybody stop writing.
-
Stop writing. And then we go right.
-
Some of you Your insecurity kills your gift.
-
You hide. You've hidden, you make excuses,
-
you don't mind serving wherever you need me, I'm there.
-
But the way you look at your gift, the way you have allowed
-
your insecurity to make you see yourself.
-
That's. Something you've allowed, and
-
maybe it started somewhere where somebody hurt you or didn't
-
accept you, but the day of putting your call in somebody
-
else's hands that have moved on and probably don't even know
-
they hurt you. Like your your gift?
-
Should cause you your call should cause you a little bit to
-
be shook in your boots like I can't do this exactly getting in
-
you don't need it's before that is gift talent.
-
And I'm really trying to talk to the depths of some of your soul
-
because some of us are so calloused.
-
Like you hear me, but you don't hear me because you have
-
operated for so long just serving, but not from call.
-
Just it's what you do. I grew up in church, man.
-
I grew up in church and I've seen it.
-
It's so many faithful people in here.
-
What are no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no?
-
No, no, Before that it's it's the definition of gifts,
-
talents, anointing, da da da da. Come on.
-
Come on. That boy Noah was given orders.
-
Yep, start at what? What?
-
One thing that boy Noah was given orders.
-
EJ at 500. He had kids.
-
The Bible says that the flood came around 600.
-
It is recorded that it took about 70, almost 75 or so years
-
for him to build. 5075 years somewhere in there one say 100
-
year to build this ark. He's building with no rain
-
insight. He's building with people
-
doubting him and thinking he crazy what's happening.
-
He's building family, walking away.
-
He's being perfected right? What's the one thing God has
-
called you to? And it's OK to write it down and
-
say I don't know. But what I warn you of is do not
-
play stupid. What's the one thing God has
-
called you to #2 what are three gifts and talents you have to
-
use? OK.
-
I'll explain next slide. Who's the tribe he's gave you to
-
trip with? Noah.
-
You are the one righteous man. I have called you to be a savior
-
to humanity. And here's a gift, a talent, and
-
an anointing I'm going to give you.
-
You're going to build an ark. I'm going to anoint you to
-
preach the gospel or preach. I'm going to anoint you to
-
prophecy you. Are going to preach every day on
-
that while you're building you're going to tell people what
-
I said you're going to tell people that I'm coming you're
-
going to tell people that one day God is going to.
-
Clean this mess up. Sin has entered the earth and
-
God is about to preserve the earth.
-
Watch this. And God says you're going to
-
build it like this. He gave them days.
-
He gave them time. And he said the only people you
-
are to take is your wife, your sons, their wives.
-
The people who you not call to is a danger to the call.
-
Watch this. I told somebody this the other
-
day, a friend. And your tribe is two different
-
things. I got friends back home that I
-
don't talk to all the time. But when we pick up the phone
-
and talk, we pick up right where we left off.
-
My tribe, Yeah. I miss you if you're not at the
-
game. My tribe from the tribe.
-
If I can't be in Calgary, I'll say, hey, can you go be with my
-
son? My tribe is something different.
-
There might be some friends that in a season God will cause me to
-
walk away from, but my tribe, God might be calling me to fight
-
with and contend for a relationship.
-
Who's the tribe he's gave you the trip with?
-
He gave them a boarding strategy.
-
OK. And then next.
-
Where are you graced to stand? What I've come to find out is
-
the anointing is to help me exist in the impossible.
-
I'm going to say it again. The anointing is given to help
-
me exist in the impossible. Because what's impossible with
-
God? I mean, what's impossible to
-
man, it is possible with the anointing.
-
Watch this, watch this, Here you go.
-
The calling imparts identity and confidence to operate in the
-
anointing that God places upon us.
-
Somebody say the calling, it imparts identity.
-
When I left the church I grew up in, God took me to a church to
-
impart identity at the church I grew up in.
-
It was phenomenal. But all I knew was I was saved.
-
I knew I was a Christian. It was it was my salvation
-
Church. The next church God took me to,
-
it was my calling. Church.
-
It's where identity was imparted and confidence to operate in the
-
anointing that God placed upon my life, right?
-
God says, hey, go find the prophets.
-
When you get around the prophets, you'll begin to
-
prophecy. So here's a hint on some of your
-
calls where He sent you to hang out.
-
That's what I understood. I don't come with an independent
-
spirit. I understand where God is
-
calling me. There's an anointing there
-
that's called to fall on me. Well, I looked this for example,
-
right, for example, right. This young lady right here at a
-
Beth, she came here first time she ever came to church in
-
language. She tried to act like she she
-
walked. She walked like this.
-
Now she walked like this. What happened?
-
There was something in her from birth, but it wasn't until she
-
got in a certain atmosphere around a certain tribe that she
-
allowed to activate that we we didn't.
-
We've had conversations. PT does it really take all of
-
that? No, it's not about taking all of
-
that, right? He takes you from this smaller
-
place and one way of doing things.
-
He puts you in a different atmosphere and you're really
-
trying to hold on to what you know, but you don't know the new
-
you, right? So he puts you around these
-
people because there's something wrong your tribe that once you
-
get around them, well, you prophesied courageous, bold,
-
unapologetic. Oh, I didn't know.
-
I can do. All of this.
-
Oh my God, is she doing all the stuff you activated?
-
She's teaching people, she's pushing past fears.
-
She's holding people accountable, learning how to
-
walk that line between love and and and irritation and a
-
counterfeit man. It's a beautiful thing, but her
-
hunger and what she sacrificed and what she laid down and some
-
of the dreams she thought she had, and then she got a new
-
desire transplant in our church. This body would not be the same
-
without her functioning properly.
-
And I can go on and on down the line.
-
And you see the enemy try to pick people off and Nah, the
-
race is is is is not given to the swift, those who endure next
-
slide. The anointing is a special
-
endowment of enabling power that gives you the ability to
-
complete your assignment. The anointing is to complete the
-
assignment. I can't wait to talk about this
-
building next door. I cannot wait to talk about what
-
these last four years have been about.
-
I cannot wait to. Share.
-
The stuff that God is saying stand son.
-
I know it don't make sense to most of the people but stand.
-
I know you look silly, but. Stand.
-
I know it don't make no sense. It's better off to tear the
-
building down and start from scratch.
-
Don't make no sense. You don't own the building where
-
you put all that money in there for what are you?
-
The people are not going to understand.
-
It's OK Stand. What is he doing perfecting?
-
I'm anointed to stand in the silly.
-
It gives you the ability to complete the assignment once you
-
are in front of these great men. I'm anointed to stand in front
-
of people who build big buildings for a living.
-
And I ain't. I barely even built a Lego
-
building. I ain't built.
-
I built nothing. But I'm anointed and the
-
anointing can take you way further than education can.
-
The anointing will allow you to get educated in areas that you
-
because the anointing comes to educate you for call not not for
-
mere intellect. Next slide, the anointing Watch
-
this. Is to help.
-
Some of you, a gift is a key that opens doors to bring us
-
into the presence of great men. Watch this.
-
This brother right here is gifted at the keys.
-
Play other stuff he might be gifted to, right?
-
Gifted Somebody say gifted. Every definition I'm giving you
-
are different, OK? The gift is a key that will
-
bring him before great men. The danger is when you get
-
before great men, you don't know the call.
-
And that's why we often get led to idolizing great men versus
-
serving great men and women through the call of on our
-
lives. So a gift is a key.
-
It opens. And then lastly, the talent,
-
watch this. The talent is lower level or
-
lower dimensional gifts that undergird our dominant gift to
-
bring support and balance. You see the slide, take a
-
picture of this one, not this one.
-
Watch this talent. This is very important, Troy.
-
This is very important, Dylan. This is very important.
-
You guys, your talents are not the same as your spiritual
-
gifts. Skills are usually inherited,
-
passed down from generations to generation.
-
Natural talents can develop with practice.
-
Spiritual gifts are received, not developed.
-
Right. My children, all of them are
-
athletic by DNA, and then they're around family and
-
culture that's athletic and talented.
-
And that's why you see some cultures more talented,
-
stronger, taller, shorter, healthier than others.
-
You inherit talents, you inherit gifts sometimes, but.
-
Natural talents can be developed with practice with spiritual
-
gifts are received, not developed complete gifts.
-
Batteries included unexpected surprises.
-
You can't earn or deserve. God chooses when God places His
-
gifts on you. Batteries are included.
-
His gifts come with the anointing.
-
His gifts come with power. I wasn't a preacher or a
-
teacher, but. When I said yes to the call, he
-
is put a gift. I was not a a building builder.
-
I was not a project manager. There's projects in my life I
-
can barely manage my album like, but when it comes to managing
-
God's house and he's teaching, there's an anointing.
-
I'm sitting there and I'm like, I got to go meet with the
-
engineer. I don't know nothing the
-
engineer like, but I'm going to go meet with him because what I
-
got on me can be the difference with him signing the papers or
-
not. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-
The contractor knows more about the process than I do.
-
But if the contractor was good enough based on his gifts and
-
talents and skills, it would have got the paper signed.
-
So I need to show up to the contractor and to the engineer,
-
and I'm going to show my smile, my anointing.
-
I'm going to talk to you. And I'm going to say, man, come
-
on, you're going to have to sign this.
-
We've been waiting four years and God's people is ready.
-
He's like, OK, don't work, don't work.
-
Don't worry. We gonna sign it.
-
This sign, we gonna sign it. And that's why the engineer
-
signed off on the paper the other day.
-
I don't I don't I don't know what the some of this stuff.
-
I don't know what it what that mean.
-
I don't know what it mean, but I but God then puts here is I'm
-
anointed to lead people. So then he knows I'm a builder.
-
Look some some folks don't even know this EE role EJ.
-
Norbert's not here, right? Norbert's next door right now.
-
Nice Norbert, Before Norbert ever came to this church with
-
his family, Norbert and our current contractors was the two
-
people we were choosing from to do our project.
-
God told me to other people, take the other people and they
-
have been the blessing we need. Norbert ends up coming by later
-
and making this church his church home and bringing his old
-
family. Watch this, watch this, watch
-
this, watch this, watch this, watch this.
-
If Norberg, sure God could do whatever, but Norbert, God said
-
no, I need Norbert's soul first Watch this, watch this.
-
And now Norbert and his team is a part of the through the ribbon
-
part. So he didn't start with us, but
-
he got a church home and he got family saved and now he going to
-
be a part of the finishing God's house.
-
And now he over there right now because we get we doing some
-
stuff, we doing some stuff and he over there right now and he
-
got his team and God is building his house.
-
You don't got to know everything.
-
You don't got to make sense. I, I don't know how the kids
-
going to do this. I don't, I don't know how in 3
-
1/2 weeks. My kid about to go back to
-
school and my wife going to go here and then we, it's an
-
important year and we got to be here and we got to be there.
-
But the church supposed to open and we get in the building in
-
October and I need to be here for this.
-
I don't know how it's going to be, but he didn't tell me to
-
pray about like that. He told me to pray for daily
-
bread. Lord, what do you need me to do
-
today? There's an anointing for today's
-
task, right? And there's rest in that.
-
Who are you? Sabotaging your call with full
-
of excuses. You busy working?
-
Awesome, you still got a call. You don't just love people, you
-
don't just care for people. You don't.
-
You don't just have people calling you for wisdom and you
-
always helping people. What is that?
-
God has put a gift up on you. His gift, His person, special
-
endowment. Get serious about your call
-
because there's pastors in this house, there's teachers in this
-
house, God's sending apostles to this house.
-
There's evangelists in this house, there's teachers,
-
there's, there's, there's, there's, there's so many gifts
-
in this house. And when we have the gifts set
-
in the house, we're going to see the working of miracles.
-
Who are you? If that's you, you don't need to
-
stand. You don't need to raise your
-
hand, but we're going to take the next two minutes for you.
-
First of all, there's some people in here that need to
-
repent. I will say it the way it is
-
because God said I will throw up if you lukewarm, I'll throw up.
-
So he already using gross stuff, right?
-
I am saying because I have to. It is disgusting how you have
-
let hurt calls you to minimize the anointing on your life.
-
It is disgusting how you have allowed family members who have
-
walked in a call you might be called to or just say the
-
ministry in general and you've allowed that or the enemy to
-
cause you to be like God. And some of you in here, I hear
-
it so clearly. You've said God, you don't even
-
need to use me. That is disgusting to your
-
father that he would call his child and you would look at him
-
and say I'm cool if you don't use me.
-
It's been frustrating. It don't look how you think it
-
should look, but where we're heading, you got to grow up.
-
There's a call on your life, stop making excuses.
-
And you got to be skillful if he's blessed you to be in a
-
family and grow up in a community and a culture with
-
natural gifts and talents. How dare you sit on your gift
-
and just oh, I can hear music, or I could just play music or I,
-
I just naturally love to do this.
-
Or I, I can write. I'm a good writer.
-
I did good in. English.
-
Maybe you're a prophet and God's called you to write books, not
-
stand on a platform. Maybe you got to write books
-
about what God is saying today. Maybe, maybe maybe maybe your
-
teacher. I don't know what it is, but
-
where I started, I didn't have a definition.
-
I just had a call and I said yes.
-
And when I do, and I don't know who you are tonight, but I felt
-
it when Annabeth was singing earlier, right before I came up,
-
that there's some people we need to repent and take this moment
-
seriously because there's some people not being helped because
-
you have watered down your call. And you gifted and you talented,
-
and you just take it for granted.
-
What if God? Took it and gave it to somebody
-
else. You know how it is.
-
You give away something that you thought you didn't want.
-
When you see them wear it, you like, wait a minute, give me
-
that shirt back. You take the next two minutes.
-
And between you and God, you start with repenting.
-
And if you need to write stuff down, whatever.
-
But I'm here to tell you that if you can hear today, it is your.
-
Time God is calling his sons and daughters home.
-
The prodigal son did not go home just to go home.
-
The prodigal son said I'm about to go back home in my father's
-
house and I'm about to serve. Sons and daughters coming home
-
is not just people missing from church, it's also some of you
-
getting back in your rightful position and just.
-
Start with total surrender. Lord, here I am.
-
I don't know what it looks like, I forgot, but Lord, shine your
-
light. On the mantels that you put on
-
me, here it is, Timothy. Stir up the gift.
-
Take these next few moments and allow the Holy Spirit to stir up
-
the gift. He'll bring definition as you
-
go. I'm still learning.
-
Ero Noah was doing the same thing every day for over 50
-
years. Some of you are frustrated
-
because you've been doing the same thing.
-
It all sound crazy until the flood comes and when people
-
around you see that ark get lifted up and you start selling
-
away. No need to be confused about the
-
call anymore. Yes, Lord.
-
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.
-
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.
-
Stop running. Stop running.
-
Stop running. Stop running.
-
Surrender. Yes, Lord.
-
Yes Lord. Yes Lord.
-
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.
-
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.
-
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.
-
Yes, Lord. Yes, Lord.
-
Yes, Lord. Whoever this is for you can the
-
anointing is capacity. It gives you capacity.
-
What is God purging out of your life?
-
What is God calling you to? Just take the next step.
-
Just take the next step. You're yes today.
-
God's next step for you could be man, I need you to clean up your
-
diet. Yeah, that's a part of call
-
'cause he needs you to be healthy, serving his people.
-
Yes, Lord. Well, PJ and I, we love you guys
-
to the bottom of our hearts. And we want to see you and God's
-
people perfected, complete. And I'll tell you this when
-
talent and gifts, anointing and call are all working together,
-
there's no greater fulfillment. Yes, Lord, that's what he's been
-
maturing you for. So he can get you to the Yes
-
Lord. The perfecting is when He takes
-
you from yes to I Do be careful in this season how you are
-
hearing. God the devil wants to take you
-
out of environments that are perfecting you and put you in
-
environments that are going to make you dull.
-
I've been there when I've been excited and I've been new and
-
I'm coming alive and I love my church.
-
And then I hear this call and I thought it was and.
-
A lot of times God could be calling you today for later.
-
He could show you a promise today that's we're down there
-
be. Careful.
-
How you hear in this season because the worst thing you
-
could do. Is press pause on the perfecting
-
thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Jesus.
-
I want every keyboard player to play under the anointing every
-
single singer play under the anointing every musician to play
-
under the anointing every. Usher to serve under the
-
anointing. Hospitality under the anointing.
-
I don't want us to be so position oriented that we don't
-
understand the call. The purpose.
-
Why do we endure? Because of the call?
-
Why do we persevere? Because of the call?
-
Why do we love people because of the call?
-
Why do we forgive because of the call?
-
Why would we take the the unpopular route because of the
-
call? Why do we go through the
-
wilderness instead of the short route?
-
Because of the call. The call.
-
The call is where the anointing is.
-
The call is where provision is the call is where peace is the
-
call. Say yes, children of God, yes
-
Lord. Gideon was perfected.
-
Mary was perfected. Elijah was perfected.
-
Elijah was perfected. Ruth was perfected.
-
Naomi was perfected. Paul was perfected.
-
Timothy was perfected. Matthew, Mark, Luke, John
-
perfected, James perfected. Stephen was perfected.
-
Mary was perfected, Moses was perfected from the front to the
-
back. Let us make men in our image and
-
in our likeness. Pick up your cross, carry it
-
daily. Ambassadors of Christ call to
-
the ministry of reconciliation. How can they hear the gospel
-
unless someone be sent? How can they be saved?
-
Preach the gospel, teach the gospel, share the gospel, win
-
souls, make disciples. Heal the sick.
-
The work of the ministry cast out demons.
-
The work of the ministry prophesied the work of the
-
ministry the work. It's not merely the work of
-
programs for Sunday, but it's the work of day-to-day ministry.
-
Marriage, the work of the ministry.
-
Parenting, the work of the ministry.
-
Kings, the work of the ministry. Athletes, you have the work of
-
the ministry. Baristas, there's the work of
-
the ministry. Wherever God calls you, there's
-
the work of the ministry. Rise up, soldiers, rise up.
-
Saints. Be perfected, be equipped, be
-
complete in him that you may know, be rooted in.
-
Love that you may know. May your inner man be
-
enlightened that you may know. This is your time, This is your
-
season to carry the image and the likeness of your Savior, to
-
walk in the power of the Holy Ghost, to rise up as sons and
-
daughters. This is your time and this is
-
our season. Sure, the bumper crop is coming,
-
but even greater than the bumper crop is the fruit of the Spirit
-
being up on your life. You will have joy.
-
You will have peace. You will know how to have
-
long-suffering. You know you will know how to
-
stand in the midst of adversity and persecution.
-
You can make it through that rough thing.
-
You can. You can that very thing you're
-
going through right now. God is saying, can you let my
-
life shine? That's the work of the ministry.
-
Can you love your enemies? That's the work of the ministry.
-
Can you skillfully win someone, lead someone to me?
-
That's the work of the ministry. And God is restoring mantels in
-
your bloodline. I'll say it one more time.
-
God is restoring mantels in your bloodline.
-
So I declare double for your trouble.
-
The mantle your father laid down you are anointed to pick up.
-
God has a finishing assignment for your father.
-
He has a finishing assignment for your father.
-
But you are going to carry that mantle through the ribbon for
-
your family. Hallelujah.
-
There is no mantle in your bloodline that will be lost.
-
You will raise children to carry their mantle.
-
You will raise your children to raise their children to carry
-
their mantle. Before Jesus returns, your
-
bloodline will be completely restored.
-
Run your. Leg of the race.
-
I cannot wait to hear the testimonies.
-
I cannot wait to hear from some of you eager people as God has
-
stirred you up saying I'm ready. I can't wait till you go Bug.
-
Elder Roseanne and Elder John, Elder Brett, Elder Stacy, you
-
just whoever you talk to. I cannot wait to hear the I'm
-
readies, but even more than hear it, I cannot wait to see the
-
soldiers marching, cannot wait to hear the stories of what God
-
is doing in people's hearts. And This is why the temptation
-
to take your talent to wherever you can get big time paychecks
-
and you can get on bigger platforms and we prostitute our
-
gifts and that's not what it's called to do.
-
You are gifts in God's hands that He uses to build His
-
church. So I come against manipulation.
-
I come against the devourer of gifts and talents and calls that
-
you will not be moved by greener grass.
-
But you will hear clear who's meant to go in the ark with you,
-
and you won't add and you won't take away.
-
But it's time. It's urgent.
-
Not only the body, but the world needs you.
-
They need you all of creation, standing on tiptoe waiting for
-
you to grow up, waiting for your coming out party.
-
And I declare before this year is out, you will be rooted in
-
your. I do.
-
May the wavering cease and the fruitfulness increase.
-
Let your yes be yes, yeah, no be no.
-
And Lord, your servant submits to you, your children.
-
Ready standing at attention to hear what the Father has for
-
them. Lord, impart your heart, impart
-
your burdens, and the one thing we ask, just as Moses, if you do
-
not go with us, we not going. We need your presence, so we
-
submit our lives to you, our gifts to you, our talents.
-
We cast our crowns at your feet and we say Lord use whatever and
-
whenever we just want you, nothing else in Jesus name,
-
Amen. Look at your neighbor and just
-
say don't play with this. We need.
-
