Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International
-
Church Podcast where we seek to love all nations, equip the
-
church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.
-
We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever
-
you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get
-
your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe
-
some tea, and get ready to receive.
-
It's go time. Let's get into it.
-
The wind blowing. When the wind blows it, it does
-
bring dust and it brings things that weren't there, but also the
-
wind uncovers stuff. So while we are expecting a wind
-
of blessing in that wind, we are also going to find ourselves
-
only left with what God has approved.
-
And so while we are expecting, while it's go time, while it is
-
harvest time and all these amazing things.
-
Jubilee, I I can't really get out of my spirit for the last
-
almost two years that we need to be standing as if we're standing
-
on holy ground and really actually believe that we should
-
have approached this year with fear and trembling.
-
We should have approached this year not in fear of the devil or
-
fear of of man or fear of failure, but in the fear of
-
trembling, of cautious caution to the wind.
-
Like God has been speaking for a while and he has been alerting
-
our church, right? We heard about what happened in
-
Minneapolis and May God bless that church and those families.
-
We also seen few weeks back similar thing happened in
-
Seattle. And the worst thing is when the
-
wind blows, we become like, where'd that come from?
-
It's like or a, a tornado or hurricane warning and you
-
sitting there after the hurricane, like where did that
-
come from? Well, you heard the sirens, you
-
heard the bells, you, you even saw your neighbors running in
-
the house getting rooted. And then you came out and you
-
and everything got beat up. It's not about the purging.
-
It's don't be surprised with what you're left with.
-
I'm going to say it again. Don't be surprised with what you
-
left with. Similar word was spoken by the
-
prophetess when she came in here.
-
She said don't be surprised who make it and who don't.
-
I am super excited to know for a fact that I'm going to make it,
-
that I'm going to be standing not this is past.
-
I'm going to make it to heaven. That's been dealt with like
-
that's been decided. I'm talking about I'm actually
-
going to stand and be able to handle the winds and avoid the
-
distractions and like a really good distraction.
-
Watch this. A really good distraction should
-
have you for a while. Like a good distraction.
-
It's not a distraction if you expose it immediately.
-
That's a temptation. It, it tempted you, but you know
-
what I'm saying? But like when you when, when you
-
pull up the it's like here it is here.
-
Here's a good distract. Here's here's a good one.
-
If you ever been I'm, I'm not the only one who's been to a
-
club or been in a, in a place, a party, whatever.
-
And then I'm dancing with somebody and then the lights
-
come on at the end of the night and I'm like, whoa, buddy, why
-
you why you didn't give me an opportunity to to walk out
-
before the lights came on? Because this whole last hour I
-
thought I was dancing with something that was amazing and
-
beautiful. And then the lights came on and
-
like, what the heck? And that's probably because she
-
or whatever was turned around half the time.
-
If you ever been to a club, like a real club, like you get what
-
I'm saying? I guess I'm the only one.
-
I I'm glad I could tell my testimony.
-
So some of y'all still bound but that's OK.
-
And then the lights come on and you like whoa.
-
But by this time you probably gave this person your phone
-
number during that dance and now you do you wish you can go in
-
their pocket and now it's in their phone.
-
You got to take their phone and but somebody say it's too late
-
now. Now you got to deal with them
-
calling. And so when the wind blows,
-
there will be time of blessing. But also blessing is exposure.
-
When the Lord just exposed you, somebody say that's a blessing.
-
And so the perfecting, the why of the perfecting is because the
-
wind's about to blow. Strong wind, strong, strong,
-
strong wind like you've never felt before.
-
So much happening at one time. It's going to have your head
-
spinning, right? I leave a beautiful wedding the
-
other day, go straight to the airport.
-
So much happening at one time. And then me and the boys, we
-
slept for two hours last night and get to crazy LAX and we just
-
landed about 55 minutes ago, hour ago.
-
So I got my airplane clothes on. So don't mind me.
-
Be like, what's going on with PT?
-
Do we need to pray for them? Absolutely not.
-
Absolutely not. 12 o'clock 12:00 But I wrestled, right?
-
EJ was ready. We see people don't understand
-
like this happens in the world. You think about people, they
-
they go, they go on tour or they do business.
-
People commute to France from San Francisco.
-
Hey, babe, I'll be right back. I'm going to go do business.
-
We got a deal to do. We got a meeting in France.
-
Well, you can zoom. No, we need to be in person
-
because I got to seal this deal, right?
-
Call this call your post is your post my promise.
-
The blood of my promise pumps at my post.
-
So I got to look at OK, I might not be here for these days in
-
these days. OK, well, I got to be I got to
-
be here. I know my understand this isn't
-
this isn't about convenience. This isn't about sleep.
-
This isn't about what I feel like, it's about what God needs
-
you. But only the perfected live on
-
call, right? The the immature, the elementary
-
need call backs and wait a minute.
-
Let me pray about it. Let me No, no, no.
-
The perfected live on call, the perfected adjust schedules for
-
call. And then you have people EJ
-
ready. Try call EJ up here right now.
-
Are you ready? I'm like, no, I got to answer
-
the call. You're always answering the
-
call. It's not a one time deal.
-
You carry your cross vaguely. And so let's see what happens
-
this morning. The wind blows where it wills,
-
And though you hear its sound, yet you neither know where it
-
comes from nor where it is going.
-
Say nobody knows, right? The wind blows where it wills,
-
it does what it want to do. And though you hear its sound,
-
yet you neither know where it comes from nor where it is
-
going. We, we have been getting a word
-
from the wind. Though you hear it sound, you
-
don't know when it's going to come.
-
We've been talking about harvest time.
-
We've been talking. That's the thing about faith.
-
You could be declaring some for 10 years.
-
And people you think you crazy and they like, OK, we'll see.
-
It ain't came yet. They don't see the fruit
-
underground, they only looking for above ground fruit.
-
Write that down. There is a such thing as
-
underground fruit. Amen.
-
Now look, you have to be faithful over the word of the
-
wind. I read it.
-
The wind blows where it wills, and though you hear its sound,
-
yet you neither know where it comes from nor where it is
-
going. So it is with everyone who is
-
born of the Spirit, right? A meteorologist thank God for
-
their education, but but they don't necessarily know when that
-
wind bout to blow. But the moment they get
-
indication and they see evidence, they begin to alert
-
everybody because everybody needs a fair shot at getting
-
what ready right You on an airplane, they say keep your
-
seat belt on. Why?
-
For unexpected what turbulence See, keep your seat belt on.
-
How many times have you seen believers us in this room
-
disobey that we just walking around the plane.
-
We don't we put our headphones on while they going through
-
instructions. Then the day your plane end up
-
in the water, you like what they say, you looking at your
-
neighbor and you like looking at what they doing and it's like
-
no, no, no, you should have brought your own or you should
-
have listened to the instructions yourself.
-
Yeah, you should have took notes yourself.
-
Even your wife notes can't help you or your husband's or your
-
friends. Somebody say Numa.
-
So when we're talking about the wind, we're talking about the
-
breath or wind, the spirit or life force, the vital force or
-
breath of life that gives rise to consciousness.
-
Sensation and thought we went over this on Wednesday if you
-
weren't here it's on it's on YouTube.
-
You can go watch it. We won't spend time here, but
-
when he's talking about this wind blowing, you also can see
-
this word in Genesis 1 or Genesis 2 and Genesis 2 says
-
this then the Lord God form somebody say form.
-
He formed man from the dust of of the ground and breathe into
-
his nostrils the breath or spirit of life.
-
And man became a living being who breathed into US God
-
himself, life himself, victory himself, strength himself, peace
-
himself, courage himself, Wisdom himself blew his life into us,
-
but he formed us. He formed this vessel out of the
-
what dust? Don't underestimate the dust in
-
your life, What God can do with the dust in your life, what God
-
can do with the dust in your life, what God can do with the
-
dirt in your life, what God can do with what you would walk
-
over. When God breathes on something,
-
it don't matter how long it's been dead.
-
It don't matter how long it's been counted out.
-
Once God get to blow in, it's up from there.
-
Somebody say it's up from there. I feel a staring spirit in here
-
this morning. A staring spirit.
-
Amen formed mean it implies A deliberate shaping and molding
-
process like a Potter rather than creation from nothing.
-
We went over this last week. God is not looking for a new
-
thing from you. He is looking to form you out of
-
what has already been and what is already happening in your
-
life. You.
-
Need to move to a new city? You need a new partner, You need
-
new opportunities. God don't need nothing new to do
-
what he said he will do. And so he formed.
-
And as we talk about the perfecting of the Saints, the
-
perfecting of the Saints, the perfecting of the Saints, we are
-
talking about a life that is hit by the purging and molding hands
-
of the Father. Not a punishing God, not a
-
judging God. What you're going through is not
-
God judging you because you sinned.
-
You'll sin already move God's hand.
-
He don't, you'll sin. Don't move him like that.
-
Can I anybody, anybody hear what I'm saying?
-
Your sin, your sin has moved God's hand once and for all
-
through a man named Jesus Christ.
-
His blood has cleansed it once and for all.
-
So you sin and don't move God. They don't rush God or slow God
-
down. Your sin is not forcing God's
-
hand at all. Your sin is forcing you to have
-
to make some decisions quicker than you expected to, or your
-
sin is inconveniencing you. It's not inconveniencing God at
-
all. God can be no more inconvenience
-
than giving His only begotten Son because we messed up.
-
Genesis 1. Watch this.
-
The earth was completely formless.
-
Somebody say formless. Somebody say formless, some of
-
us have been in a life where it seems like our life is not
-
taking shape. We're bringing all this stuff
-
together, right? You're just doing things, trying
-
things, taking opportunities. You know what God said?
-
Maybe you don't know what God said, you forgot what he said,
-
but there seem like your life is not taking shape.
-
Have you ever heard of that statement?
-
Things aren't taking shape or things are starting to take
-
shape. You've heard of that before?
-
Just like 3 people. Hey, man, OK, The earth was
-
completely formless and empty. Anybody ever felt empty before?
-
Went through an empty season, Felt like nothing was happening.
-
Felt felt like you were in a season that meant nothing.
-
Anybody ever been? OK, let me help you.
-
One thing there is not one season you've been through that
-
does not matter to God, OK? Number one, there is not one
-
season that you've been through that God is not trying to use.
-
Not one season, not one season in your life.
-
This is a part of the perfecting.
-
God is not just trying to mature you so you could just make
-
disciples. No, he's trying to mature you in
-
the perfecting. He's taking what tried to kill
-
you and he's you see that he's taking the ingredients of your
-
failure, partnering them with your successes, partnering your
-
your misunderstandings, your, your frustrations, your
-
mistakes, your Boo boos. And he is trying to partner them
-
with your successes, your achievements.
-
He's trying to take your ignorance with your knowledge.
-
He's trying to bring it all together, molding.
-
He's forming something out of the negative things in your
-
life. But if you refuse the forming,
-
you also have went through things in vain.
-
So why you going to go through all you've been through and then
-
tell God to keep his hands off of you?
-
You tripping, look at your neighbors say you really
-
tripping. You really tripping, right?
-
Why are you going to put all the cake ingredients in the bowl and
-
don't mix it up? And then why are you going to
-
mix it up and don't put it in the oven?
-
And then why are you going to put it in the oven?
-
Don't pull it out. And then why are you going to
-
pull it out and not slice it? And why are you going to slice
-
it and don't share it? And then why are you not going
-
to share it and then testify about how good it is?
-
You see the process, God trying to get you all the way to
-
testimony like that was that was good.
-
We kicked some devils, but we overcame something.
-
It ain't so bad what I went through now because I have
-
gotten to the victory side of it.
-
Trying to get to the testimony part.
-
I could talk about I've been in the club, That's the testimony
-
part, but I couldn't talk about I've been in the club when I was
-
in the club because the club was kicking my butt.
-
The weed was kicking my butt. The the sex outside of marriage
-
was kicking my butt, The alcohol was kicking my mud, the swearing
-
was kicking my butt, The sneaky spirit was kicking my butt, The
-
lion was kicking my butt. I couldn't testify because then
-
I would be a what? Hippocrate.
-
But when you when you see God start, when you feel that
-
tension between your lifestyle, you feel you feel you dying and
-
you still it listen, you still wrestling for you to stay alive.
-
You got all kind of reasons and excuses of why it's OK to be
-
stinky, bad mouthed and attitudy.
-
You got to because you're fighting and you've been
-
exposed. God has put you around people
-
and put you in places where now it it's not getting tolerated.
-
There's a space for it, but you can't stay there.
-
And one of the greatest places you can be find yourself is when
-
you are around a people that won't let you stay there.
-
Or won't let you get away with that man, the day you are around
-
people that support you being out of alignment, support you
-
not having accountable support, you being sneaky that day.
-
That is a dangerous place. Because if you're found there
-
when the wind blows you and your little homies, your support
-
group is going to get blew away. And guess who going to be
-
standing there? The people who who ain't going
-
to tell you I told you, but the ones who God put in your life.
-
To say this is where it all stops and as long as you want to
-
throw a tantrum, right? You come to a point, but I'm not
-
I'm not I'm not I'm not giving in to my kid throwing a tantrum.
-
I I remember my mom when she had spanked me, but then they'd come
-
a point. But she like when you done.
-
I still be your mom. I'll be right here.
-
And then after a while, know where the kid won't.
-
They want you to come argue with them, pull them through the
-
store, pick them up, and then they come a point where they
-
like right here. Here it is, is is God going to
-
let you cry yourself to sleep? And it ain't nothing worse like
-
crying yourself to sleep and then waking up like what
-
happened to me, exhausted muscles is you like what
-
happened last night. That demon got in you.
-
That's what happened last night. I threw tantrums like he like I
-
was like the kid in the Bible. He's like Lord.
-
He keep throwing himself on the fire.
-
I used to just throw myself around.
-
It was dangerous. My mom had my mom pulled over on
-
the freeway a few times. I remember my Mama pulled she if
-
you watch him, I remember it is it was traumatizing for me, but
-
I'm sure it was traumatizing for her trying to drive down the
-
highway and this kid is back there just like acting a fool
-
screaming. She pulled over on the side of
-
the freeway, got out the car, hopped in the back seat.
-
Like boy, if you don't shit your ass.
-
Right, because it comes a point, it comes a point where God got
-
to get in the back seat because now you're a danger to others.
-
Right when when God have to strong arm you, it's no longer
-
about who you being hurt, you hurting yourself, you're now
-
dangering others with your decision making.
-
Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
-
The earth was completely formless and empty, with nothing
-
but darkness draped over the deep.
-
God's Spirit hovered over the face of the waters.
-
Want you to see this? Formless, empty, nothing but
-
darkness. God's spirit hovered over the
-
face of the waters. God's what?
-
Spirits say. Uh oh, Something about to
-
happen. He's hovering.
-
He's hovering, right? Right.
-
Not many believers see when God's hovering, when the spirit
-
is hovering, right? When he's hovering, he's getting
-
ready to move. He's he's nesting.
-
He's, he's resting, OK, He's hovering.
-
Watch this over darkness and emptiness and formlessness.
-
Watch this. And then God announced, God
-
announced, God announced, right? Remember of the scripture we
-
read, and you, although you hear it sound, you do not know where
-
and when it's coming, right? And then God announced sound.
-
Somebody say sound. Then God spoke.
-
Let there be light. There is no refreshing without
-
light first coming on. There there is no promise
-
without light first coming on when God is about to move.
-
There is a heightened there is there is a Clarion call
-
happening. There is a heightened.
-
He sends his prophets to make announcements because he trying
-
to get your lights on. He's trying to make you aware of
-
his coming. Let there be lights and light
-
burst forth, or when I see God announced, I see His Word and
-
His Spirit, and then light burst.
-
There is no bursting without breath.
-
You see the Spirit of God, you see the Word of God, and then
-
you see Him move. You see, you see Jesus here.
-
Where's Jesus? In the beginning was the Word,
-
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
-
Then it goes down and said he was the light.
-
We see right here, we see Father, we see Son, we see Holy
-
Ghost. So God's heightened word, the
-
Father's heightened touch in the midst of darkness, gross
-
darkness. And then God says.
-
I'm trying to get you ready man, and I got to break you down.
-
I got to allow you to be broken down like this.
-
Watch this. Listen, if if you read verse one
-
it said and God created and then the next verse said it was
-
formless. God don't make nothing empty.
-
He don't make nothing formless. He don't make nothing.
-
He said God created and a lot of people, a lot of theologians
-
will say or argue between verse one and verse 2, just like
-
between one verse and another verse.
-
Jesus popped from 3013 to 30. We saw that last week.
-
So between verse one and verse 2, this is where the enemy fell
-
and a third of the angels, this is where he fell.
-
However you slice it from verse one, God created.
-
Then in verse 2, formless dark. Then in verse 3, God speaks.
-
He's speaking. Watch this.
-
When complaining begins, contending stops, somebody say
-
that's a waste of breath. You can't complain and fight at
-
the same time. You're complaining is fuel for
-
the enemy's plans. Try your hardest moving forward
-
to complain less in your life when you when complaining begins
-
contending stops. You see that?
-
Let's say that together when containing Yeah, my my bad, my
-
bad. One more time.
-
I I I messed up, I messed up 123 go when complaining begins.
-
Watch this. Complaining is a leader.
-
If you are not careful, complaining number one will
-
change your perspective. It will take it from it will
-
cause you to see something good, and when you complaining about
-
it, it'll turn into something against you.
-
Complaining leads people away from truth.
-
Watch this. Complaining leads people away
-
from the power of God. Complaining and murmuring is so
-
bad it robs generations from seeing the promise.
-
That's one thing we, we, we, we know how to do.
-
We know how to complain. Watch this.
-
So we're moving into, right, that the breadth part of this
-
message is really a prophetic release.
-
That that happened last week is really just giving you a why
-
behind the equipping, a why behind the equipping.
-
When complaining begins, watch this.
-
Contending stops. In other words, in order to be
-
perfected, your part is contending.
-
Your part is contending. We said this two years ago.
-
However long the hardest part of your year was going to be the
-
what? See, we remember that, but how
-
many people it? What's crazy is all of us have a
-
different perspective of our life and how we doing.
-
This is why we need others. Not everybody, but just a few
-
others to have another take on our life.
-
If I got the only take, or if I've surrounded my people.
-
If I'm surrounded by people who agree with my take or if you're
-
not careful. Watch this.
-
You have gathered around you, contending words for your life.
-
You got a group of people you really love and they're advising
-
you one way. And you got a group of people
-
you really love and they're advising you one way.
-
And if you're not in the right place or if your desires are too
-
strong, you're going to lead towards the support and
-
complaining will assist in you leading towards fleshly
-
decisions, right? I won't.
-
I won't work there. I won't work there.
-
I won't there. I won't watch this.
-
Say my name. Say my name, say my name.
-
Come on. Come on, Grace, help me out.
-
I saw you starting to sing it. What's the other part?
-
All right. Yo, you singing it, girl?
-
All right. Say my name.
-
Say my name. Somebody say say my name.
-
Say my name. Say my name.
-
Say my name, say my name. All right.
-
She she got she put her neck into her.
-
She didn't forgot all about worship.
-
Say my name, say my name, say my name.
-
Everybody say that 123. Yeah, some of you guys are
-
saying that suspiciously like like what is he having me say
-
this for? Right.
-
And if you're new here, you might think this is like a a
-
cult chant or something we do here at Lovequest.
-
This is not a a chant that we do say my name, say my name, say my
-
name. Now one would read this and
-
think that this is me rightness and I'm about to tell you that
-
Jesus is it's all about the name of Jesus and it is and Jesus is
-
telling you today to just focus on his name.
-
And when doubt comes and negativity comes and when you
-
want to complain, say my wife, say my name.
-
That's that's kind of what did we can work it that way, but
-
that's not what this is today. That is not what this is today.
-
We're going to look at a man that we've seen over history and
-
we're going to see what perfecting could look like in a
-
moment or a season. During the night, Jacob arose,
-
woke up his two wives. OK, that's a part of his
-
problem. He got two of them.
-
Hey, that's the part of it. You got two of them.
-
Say one too many. Now, now, now, some might ask
-
why, but he has a second wife because he was tricked into his
-
first wife, right? That brother worked 14 years for
-
the 1 he wanted, right? That that's a whole nother
-
sermon for some of you. That brother was perfected,
-
right, because he had a promise. And then some people will take
-
the Leah because you just want one.
-
You just want something. So you take Leah and that's and
-
then you mad that that he pulled, he pulled that patch off
-
one day. You saw one eye.
-
You like I ain't want nobody with one eye Yeah, but that that
-
that one I don't get revealed till I After I do that that one
-
glaring thing you got to look at all the rest of your life.
-
His two maidservants and eleven sons and had them cross the Ford
-
of Dabak River. He sent them across along with
-
everything he had. He sent this he sent them away,
-
say sent them away, say time for some alone time.
-
And Jacob was left all alone. Then suddenly out of nowhere,
-
the wind right there, there's a certain like, why?
-
Why couldn't the wind come when I was my, I had my 2 wives, you
-
know what I'm saying? I had, I had my peoples around
-
me. I had, I had my support group
-
around me left all alone. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a man
-
appeared and wrestled with him until Daybreak.
-
Some say this is like like a human man, part man, part
-
amazing, part man, part Angel. Some people say no, this was
-
God, but no, it couldn't be God because there ain't nobody going
-
to wrestle. You know how strong God is.
-
And some people say this was literally a man.
-
This is an angelic presence. This was a present sent by God
-
rather a man in the flesh. However you want to slice it,
-
this was a divine appointment to send Jacob into a wrestling
-
match that would change his life.
-
Mind you, prior to this, Jacob has had dreams.
-
He has had words spoken over him and his bloodline.
-
So he is not just wrestling because he did something wrong.
-
He is not written. No, he is wrestling for a word
-
that was spoken over his life. Look, I don't care how cute you
-
are, you not worth losing the word that was spoken on my life.
-
Right, friends, business partners, all these one question
-
you got to discern the answer to is are you called to contend
-
with me for what God has said about my bloodline?
-
Right. You, you, you, you picking
-
wrestling partners? Yeah.
-
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a man appeared and wrestled with him
-
until Daybreak. Somebody say until say.
-
The wrestling got a deadline. When the man saw that he was not
-
winning. Who's the man that's not
-
winning? No, it ain't.
-
Come on, read the word. Read the word.
-
That was a good try though, When the man saw that he was not
-
winning. This was the assignment that was
-
sent to perfect this man, Jacob the man, the angelic force.
-
The Angel saw he was not winning.
-
He struck Jacob's hip and knocked it out of joint, leaving
-
it wrenched as he continued to wrestle with him.
-
So no matter what beating you take, you're required to keep
-
wrestling. The The fact that I'm being
-
attacked can be a direct result from my ground.
-
I'm gaining because I'm experiencing a moment, a pain.
-
It does not mean that I have lost ground.
-
What I'm experiencing could be a direct result from my victory,
-
right? This is what you got to
-
understand is that most of the devil shots are cheap shots.
-
It is because he is already defeated and he wants to strike
-
you with such a blow that you think it's no way, no, no how,
-
no way in hell I'm going to be able to come out of this.
-
But you went in it out of it. You went in it victorious.
-
You went in it with wisdom to get out.
-
You went in it to to taste and experience the victory that has
-
already been won. He struck Jacob's hip, leaving
-
it wrenched as he continued to wrestle with him.
-
Here's what the vision, the the, the picture I'm getting, it is
-
say Jacob kept wrestling with him.
-
But I believe the way this is written is Jacob kept wrestling
-
with him because the Angel kept wrestling with him.
-
What do I mean by that? Jacob just got his.
-
I want to tend to this. I want to tend to my pain.
-
But you keep wrestling with me though.
-
So what I'm going to do is I'm going to ask you to get off me.
-
I'm going to complain, I'm going to pouch, I'm going to cry.
-
I'm going to try to tend to this or I'm going to learn how to
-
play hurt. So devil you want to keep
-
messing with me and my family, then I don't care what I'm going
-
through. I'm just going to keep
-
wrestling. As long as you messing with me.
-
As long as this little demon keep poking his head, I'm going
-
to keep wrestling. If if the devil got assignment,
-
I got anointing. Yeah, I got anointing for every
-
assignment. It don't matter what's going on.
-
And way too many people. All the enemy got to do is step
-
on your baby toe and you out. The man asked him, Watch this,
-
what is your name? And in shock of realization,
-
whispering, he said Jacob Supplanter, Schemer, Trickster.
-
Slendler, you remember he wandered his brother.
-
You're you're you're you see, you're what?
-
What's this? Jacob?
-
This is a test. What's your name?
-
What's your name? It's so many believers still
-
would answer guilty. Shane behind Linder.
-
I mean Borrower. Sorry.
-
My name is beneath My name is not good enough.
-
My name is poverty. My name is lonely and rather it
-
comes out of your mouth. Look, look, look at the choices
-
you make. You speak to what you think Your
-
name is My. My name is impatient.
-
My name. My name is broke.
-
My, My. My name is what?
-
My name is trauma. My name is drama.
-
Watch what he says. He says your name shall be
-
called no more. Jacob.
-
What? What am I?
-
The point of perfecting is to change everything.
-
The point of perfecting is to realign, I promise.
-
But Israel, look what his name is, contender with God.
-
For you have contended and have power with God.
-
And one translation says you have wrestled with God and with
-
man. You wrestled with God, you
-
wrestled with God. God called you to go through the
-
wilderness and you wrestled Abraham.
-
Go, go, go, go kill your son. And then he says, now I know
-
because no matter what, Abraham wrestled with his flesh.
-
Nope, I'm not going to kill my son.
-
That don't even make sense. Abraham had very logical reasons
-
to not go through, but he wrestled against his flesh, and
-
he said God's word will have the last sake.
-
What did God say? For you have contended and have
-
power with God and with men, and you have prevailed.
-
Then Jacob asked him, Tell me, I pray you.
-
What in contrast is your name? Since I'm since since you want
-
to know my name, what's your name?
-
Since we just wrestled, what's your name?
-
But he said, Why is it that you ask my name?
-
The Angel of God declared a blessing on Jacob there, and
-
Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, the face of God
-
perfecting. Should lead you to the face of
-
God, not to complain it. It is so that we can see
-
clearer, so we can have better views saying for I have seen
-
God's face, seen God face to face.
-
Wait a minute. No, I just wrestled.
-
I just came out of a season that almost killed me.
-
I just came through a valley. Look what Jacob said.
-
I just seen the face of God. Oh, you mean to tell me that
-
what I went through was to reveal God's faith?
-
Not a watch this, not a worship song, not merely quoting a
-
scripture. It was me hanging in there and
-
seeing that God was everything that he said.
-
And then he showed his face to me because I showed my faith in
-
him. See, here's the true question.
-
Yeah, it's hard. And instead of complaining, the
-
question that you need to answer.
-
But is it worth seeing God's face the the the Father that
-
saved you? Is it worth seeing his face?
-
I know you want to see his hand saying, for I have seen God face
-
to face and my life is spared and not snatched away.
-
Perfecting requires some wrestling with yourself and not
-
many people. We want to expedite this
-
process. We want to get this part of the
-
season over with quick and you know how people are self or not
-
self ordained. What is it called when somebody
-
self-proclaimed? Whatever.
-
Some some of us in here are self-proclaimed.
-
Ready. Yeah.
-
Go and write that one down. Have I proclaimed to myself I'm
-
ready for blank. I remember a long time ago I
-
thought I was ready for marriage.
-
No. Where'd she go?
-
Left with a tattoo. Left with a With a?
-
With a. Bruise on my chest.
-
What how many things have you gotten into because you was
-
like, I'm ready, I'm ready for ministry, I'm ready to lead, I'm
-
ready to be the example. I'm ready to say follow me.
-
I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready.
-
And then you get in and then you like, oh, that was
-
self-proclaimed. I left God out of that one.
-
And the unfortunate part is God's like, cool, you think
-
you're ready. Go for it.
-
I'll be here after you throw your tantrum.
-
Watch this. And he passed Pineal or Pineal.
-
The sun rose upon him, and he was limping because of his
-
thigh. Wait a minute.
-
I went through all that. You ain't going to take the limp
-
away. You ain't going to take the
-
scars away. For what?
-
Right now he going to go back. Can you and me?
-
He going to go back and they're going to be like, what happened
-
to you, Jacob? What happened to who that went
-
over some of y'all here right? He going to go back to his
-
friends and his family with a lip.
-
He didn't come, he didn't leave them with a lip right Sometime
-
God need to pull you away from stuff.
-
So when you return, you going to return for those people who
-
worried about returning, you going to return.
-
But when you return, you going to have a scar, you're going to
-
have a limp, you're going to have a testimony.
-
You're going to have new strength.
-
I may come out limping, but I'm going to come out lush.
-
I'm going to come out lush. I'm the part of the perfecting
-
is to bring me to a state of fruitfulness that I never run
-
out. James One, let it have.
-
It's perfect work. So in the end you lack nothing,
-
right? Jacob's like I've been wrestling
-
this long. I'm not letting go like hear
-
that. He's like I'm going to get
-
something out of my fight. I didn't make it through all of
-
this just to come here and just let go, man.
-
Do you know what God has promised me and my family long
-
time ago? And I've seen seeds of it and
-
some fruit of it. But it's OK when you actually
-
realize this ain't that, it this manner, this ain't that.
-
It's OK. That's not being entitled,
-
that's not being selfish, that's not being ungrateful to know.
-
And some of you need to know when this ain't that, you know,
-
when it's that. But here's the thing.
-
Sometimes you may think, you know, because it kind of looked
-
like it, kind of feel like it, kind of smell like it.
-
But Jacob's like, no, we're going to keep wrestling.
-
Some of y'all need to tap in and realize that all that you've
-
been through finish the fight in.
-
OK, you came here and I tell Troy, Troy and his family moved
-
here all the way from all the way.
-
I'm like you. What'd you come out with?
-
Will you come out here, bro? Not to anybody that moved here
-
or made some moves in your life to be here.
-
You quit jobs. You, you.
-
You left school. You for what?
-
To be regular, to say yes and no to regular stuff like the enemy
-
would love for you to lay down a sacrifice but don't reap from it
-
because you want to be regular and normal.
-
You make you sowed an abnormal seed but you only expecting a
-
normal harvest. What's wrong with you?
-
You gave up all of that and I didn't move to Canada and leave
-
everything that I know from the sun to family to friends to
-
opportunities, to just come here and be regular.
-
You got to be crazy. Think about it.
-
Some of y'all gave up some stuff and you're about to you're about
-
to just let go and settle for mana.
-
You're just like Lord, just provide for this regular need.
-
He's like go to work. Just provide for this regular
-
need. No, no, let me listen.
-
Sometimes you got to have this attitude when, when a when, when
-
a when a harvest show up, you got to be able to look at it and
-
be like that. Don't that don't match the seed.
-
A few people got that, that that don't match what I've sown.
-
No, I take it, I'm blessed, I'm grateful, but that ain't it.
-
That ain't it. Somebody, just a couple people
-
say that's not it because some people don't even feel like,
-
some people think you like ungrateful when you say that,
-
but you're really not. You're really not that.
-
That's not it. Like Jesus made all kind of
-
sacrifices, but he knew the cross was the sacrifice, right?
-
The woman came for some crumbs, but she, she came, she's like,
-
I'll take the crumbs, but that ain't what I came for.
-
I came for my daughter to be healed.
-
Some of y'all like, oh, I got crumbs out the hands of Jesus
-
and you like OK. And Jesus like OK, bye.
-
You got crumbs and you're over here dead.
-
I got crumbs from Jesus. I got crumbs from Jesus knowing
-
Jesus is like wow and now you out there selling Jesus as the
-
crumb provider and you got folks that don't follow Jesus and got
-
what crumbs what you showing them?
-
Some of you have come through too much to get ready to get
-
rooted in crumbs. See, the thing about crumbs is
-
when you fall in love with crumbs, you just keep collecting
-
crumbs. Trying to get a loaf do.
-
You know how long it takes for? You know how many crumbs you
-
need to get a loaf of bread? You falling in love with crumbs?
-
You settling. That's what impatience will have
-
you do. I just seen it.
-
I will tell y'all right now. This building has a lot of
-
purpose in our life. You you had, if you weren't here
-
a few years ago and, and and saw the vision about the epicenter,
-
like here's what it is. God gave us the vision and then
-
he gave blessed us with a building and we can be like,
-
well, the vision you gave us, Sir, this is not it.
-
Now look, the vision he gave us, we might not be the people, but
-
it don't mean like like the next generation needs me to confess
-
what God said. I got to keep that dream, that
-
promise alive for the next generation.
-
Now I think I'm going to see the epicenter.
-
I'm going to see it. I'm going to see it in the land.
-
I'm going to see that thing. But when we get this building
-
over here and this building and all of them together, I'm still
-
like, that ain't it? And I'm very grateful for for
-
here she goodbye settling for them crumbs.
-
This was not just any wrestling match.
-
God is perfecting the work of the ministry.
-
Watch this, which is the work of the harvest, which is the work
-
of your birthright. The work of the ministry, it's
-
the wind Souls make disciples. It's the ministry of
-
reconciliation. God bringing his sons and
-
daughters home, reconnecting them to their birthright,
-
reconnecting that. That's the work of the ministry.
-
The work of the ministry is the work of God's harvest.
-
But what you're contending for is not just any wrestle.
-
Next experience, we're going to look at a different character
-
and we're going to look at Peter and it's perfecting.
-
We see Jacob with a wrestle of perfection and then you just see
-
Peter dare to be perfected. There's a wrestle and then Peter
-
dares to be perfected And, and, and and the way I see it is I
-
think Peter had water in his mouth.
-
I think Peter was panicking. I think, I think Peter, Peter
-
was splicy splashing. And I need you to understand.
-
I heard this the other day and I've heard it a few times but
-
I've had a couple people that didn't have their glasses on and
-
they say what not. I don't know why when I can't
-
see, I can't hear and I want to take a closer look at Peter and
-
what got him out the boat was his hearing and he asked to hear
-
because he couldn't what see. And when he got out the boat, we
-
look at he kept he took his eyes off of Jesus.
-
He couldn't see him. He stopped listening and I want
-
to look at what, what, what what would have kept him hearing.
-
He he didn't just he. What got Jesus talking was Peter
-
talking. And I like that I wrote it like
-
this. Peter took his eyes off the
-
voice of Jesus. A.
-
Lot of you misunderstand the word because you don't know
-
God's voice and this is where the enemy gets us is we got way
-
too many. Voices in our lives.
-
The Bible says in Job or is the second crime, I forget what it
-
is, but God said what you doing here, talking to the enemy,
-
talking to the devil, talking to Satan, what you doing up here?
-
He showed up amongst other angels and God said what you
-
doing here? He showed up in the midst of
-
other voices and when you have aligned yourself with the voices
-
or the few voices that God has put in your life, here's what
-
you got to be aware of other voices getting loud.
-
You should not put everybody's voice on the same volume.
-
You, you got to be a good engineer of the sound in your
-
life. You got to learn how to mix the
-
voices. I just want to take a look at
-
Peter and how he was perfected. Father, we thank you for your
-
word. We thank you for your
-
perfecting. We thank you for your hand to
-
mold us, to keep us. We thank you for your love.
-
Thank you for your relentless love.
-
Lord God, you are good and your mercy endures forever.
-
Lord, I thank you that we will be a people that's not caught
-
off guard. We are a people that as your
-
wind blows, Father, we will discover that there is fruit
-
remaining. But Lord, do what you have to
-
do. Blow on what you have to blow
-
on, so that everything that is left in our life is pleasing to
-
Your sight. Holy Spirit, lead us and guide
-
us in this hour. We need Your presence, we need
-
your wisdom, we need Your guidance, we need your leading.
-
For You are good, You are faithful, You are a comforter,
-
you are standby, you are teacher, you are intercessor,
-
you are peace, you are joy. Lord, thank you, we will forever
-
give you the praise in Jesus name Amen.
-
If you've got anything, just give God a praise one time.
-
Come on, y'all can do better than that.
