  1. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International

  2. Church Podcast, where we seek to love all nations, equip the

  3. church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.

  4. We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever

  5. you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get

  6. your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe

  7. some tea, and get ready to receive.

  8. It's go time. Let's get into it.

  9. Amen. Gonna do things a a a slight bit

  10. different today. Over the last few weeks we've

  11. been talking about the equipping of the Saints and the maturing,

  12. the, the perfecting, the growing up.

  13. And we, we, we can't, we can't stop it.

  14. Just wanting to be saved, right? Like Jesus has to go from Savior

  15. to Lord in our lives. We can't always need to be

  16. rescued, saved, promoted. What's next, right?

  17. It's get the orphan out of our faith because there's a dying

  18. world. Anybody living this world with

  19. me does know that there's it's a dying world out here.

  20. And what I do understand about being a spirit filled believer,

  21. everywhere we go things should shift.

  22. It doesn't mean everything that shifts is noticeable to the eye,

  23. but if you stay somewhere long enough, things should change.

  24. Starting with the unseen. And what I do feel and know that

  25. as a lot of times what we think revival is, is it is mere

  26. awareness and there's behavior modification.

  27. Behavior modification is not revival.

  28. Because I change how I respond or act does not mean it's

  29. revival, and it also doesn't mean maturity.

  30. A serial killer knows how to modify behavior well enough to

  31. convince someone to get in the car with them, hide their

  32. behavior for months, and then all of a sudden abuse begins.

  33. Be careful of modifying behavior, calling it

  34. transformation and we're in the day and time.

  35. What is at risk? The Bible says that the elect,

  36. the elect is the chosen ones. The elect is some of you in here

  37. that know Jesus serve in the church, The elects not just the

  38. church goer, the elect. The Bible says the elect will be

  39. drawn away. Now there's levels to drawing

  40. away. Some drawing away is complete

  41. turning away from the faith. The other level of drawing away

  42. is you will find believers elect putting their gears.

  43. In park and you are no longer impactful.

  44. In the Kingdom, for the Kingdom, that level is you're lukewarm.

  45. You, you served 10 years ago. You no longer serve because

  46. you're convinced that the church is bigger than the four walls.

  47. OK, that's like saying your house is bigger than your house.

  48. No, your house matters. God's house matters.

  49. The point of the equipping of the church is not to get caught

  50. in the snares of the world. It is to equip the body.

  51. Where does the by? Where's the body's house?

  52. It's the local church and there's an attack against the

  53. local church. There's an attack against the

  54. leaders. There's an attack against the

  55. relevance of local church. And then there's some of us.

  56. We may think local church is very important.

  57. But we don't even get specific about which local church is

  58. important for me based on what God's put in me and what God

  59. needs to cultivate in me and the type of leadership that I need

  60. and training I need, right? It's the local church and just

  61. whatever closest to me or whatever.

  62. No, no, this is not like depending on what you want to

  63. work. Some gyms don't have all the.

  64. Equipment you need for your goals.

  65. And so today you're going to hear from two of us.

  66. You're going to hear from Elder John 1st and you're going to

  67. hear from me second Matthew 16. Now I just told Elder John, get

  68. ready. I don't know what he going to

  69. share. He don't know what I'm going to

  70. share, but we probably going to see how God is saying something.

  71. But what God's going to release to you today.

  72. I ask that you put any pride down, any suspicion down, any

  73. intellectual reasoning down, and just hear and ask the Lord to

  74. reveal to you what he's saying The Scripture says here.

  75. Jesus said to Peter, For flesh and blood did not reveal this to

  76. you, but my Father who is in heaven.

  77. The Holy Spirit revealed who Jesus was beyond what he could

  78. see with his naked eye. Today you need to hear beyond

  79. what your your your, your literal.

  80. Ears can hear. You need to hear what the Spirit

  81. of God is saying in these last days because eyes will be

  82. tricked, ears will be manipulated in the last days

  83. like never before. Zechariah 4/6 says not by might

  84. not, not by intelligence, not not by oh I'm a seasoned St. not

  85. by I'm a pastor's kid, not by I'm a leader, not by might nor

  86. by power, but by my spirit. There is levels to this and we

  87. have become very intellectual with a spiritual God.

  88. And now here it is. AI has become our Holy Ghost.

  89. Ephesians 117 For I always pray to God of our Lord Jesus Christ,

  90. Father Glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and

  91. revelation, of insight into mysteries and secrets in the

  92. deep and intimate knowledge of Him.

  93. Not every believer is eating from eating the same diet.

  94. We're getting the same food. Not every believer is digesting

  95. from revelation. So you're going to hear stuff

  96. today and. Part of the.

  97. Room is going to hear one thing, another part is going to hear

  98. another thing. But the power of the Holy Ghost

  99. is He can all help us hear what we supposed to hear.

  100. He says by having the eyes of your heart flooded with light so

  101. that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called

  102. you. Uh oh, that big word called you

  103. and how rich his glorious inheritance in the Saints, His

  104. set apart ones so that you can know and understand what is the

  105. immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of his

  106. power in and for us who believe as demonstrated in the working

  107. of his mighty strength. Father, I thank you today that

  108. we hear Holy Spirit have your way.

  109. We cast our cares down. We put our pride down.

  110. We put our judgments down. We put our our our prejudices

  111. down. We put our racisms down, we put

  112. our biases down, and we ask Holy Spirit, unite us around the

  113. throne. Feed us something that will

  114. shift, that will remove the blocks, that will unplug our

  115. ears. Demonstrate today Holy Spirit in

  116. Jesus name, Amen. Pastor, I just want to thank you

  117. for this opportunity once again, particularly in these sacred

  118. holy moments that we have as God is doing some amazing work in

  119. our church and our lives. So the part I want to share

  120. today is I'm going to give you a title to anchor your thinking,

  121. and that is perfecting the Saints, maturing for the wild.

  122. And in the wild, perfecting is about maturing.

  123. And that procuring part of it comes in a place that's more

  124. isolated, more set apart, set off.

  125. It's not the only place. It's not the only way.

  126. Coming and hearing a message is not the only aspect of

  127. perfecting or maturing the guy uses.

  128. Procuring occurs in the wild outside of these walls, so there

  129. are places where you become perfected that are separate from

  130. the wild. That's the idea for the wild,

  131. but you also have to learn how to be perfected and mature in

  132. the midst of the wild, in the midst of where you go, and

  133. that's really, really critical. There's two parts to it.

  134. I want to set this as a foundation for Scripture, and

  135. I'm going to read it in some detail because I think it's

  136. worthwhile to repeat. It's something that passes

  137. already set up, but I'm going to read it in detail.

  138. Ephesians 4, starting in verse 11.

  139. And he gave some apostles and some prophets, some evangelists,

  140. some pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the Saints,

  141. for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of

  142. Christ, until we all come in the unity of the faith, and for the

  143. knowledge of the Son of God. Unto a perfect man, unto the

  144. measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, that we

  145. henceforth oh, so that from this time forward we be no more

  146. children tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of

  147. doctrine by the slight of men and cunning craftiness whereby

  148. they lie in wait to deceive. But speaking the truth in love,

  149. we may grow up. The perfecting is for to get us

  150. to a point where we're speaking the truth in love, where we may

  151. grow up into Him in all things, which is the head.

  152. Even Christ, from whom the whole body fitly joined together and

  153. compacted, that by that which every joint supplies according

  154. to the effectual working in the measure of every part, makes an

  155. increase of the body unto the identifying of itself in love.

  156. Now I want to read that last little part over in a different

  157. version to help catch your ears if you didn't quite follow that

  158. part. So instead speaking the truth in

  159. love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of

  160. Him who is the head that is Christ.

  161. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every

  162. supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love as each

  163. part does it's work. I want to revisit that first

  164. part. And he gave some apostles, some

  165. prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers for the

  166. perfecting of the Saints, for the work of the ministry, for

  167. the edifying of the body of Christ.

  168. It doesn't say for the perfecting of the Saint.

  169. It says for the perfection of the Saints.

  170. That suggests you can't be perfected on your own.

  171. It's not independent perfection. It suggests that your perfection

  172. will be fully realized in the context of the body being

  173. perfected together. And if you're out trying to be

  174. perfected on your own independently, you will come

  175. back to a body and find yourself out of place because the body

  176. may have been perfected beyond where you've been perfected.

  177. And so now you're trying to plug something that doesn't fit into

  178. something that does fit. The New Testament talks about

  179. this. You don't put a new a new patch

  180. onto A to the old garment. You don't put new wine in the

  181. old wine skin. Otherwise what you'll lose it

  182. all perfecting of the Saints, not the Saint.

  183. That's why gathering in context of community is so critical.

  184. He gave these gifts to the body, to the church for that.

  185. Perfecting perfection is not an individual work, it's a body,

  186. local church work. It also doesn't say for the

  187. perfecting of the Saints faith. It says for the perfecting of

  188. the Saints, not for the perfecting of the Saints Faith.

  189. It's just for for the perfecting of the Saints.

  190. Perfecting is a relational soul, inner man, posture, character,

  191. affection, identity, being sonship, matter first and

  192. foremost. God is perfecting you more than

  193. what you do. He's perfecting you more than

  194. how you believe. Who you are will determine how

  195. you believe. So God understands I'm going to

  196. make the first thing the first thing.

  197. If I become perfected as a son, my faith will be in my Father as

  198. automatically. I cannot be perfected as a son

  199. without having faith in the Father who created me to be a

  200. son in Him. Perfecting is a relational.

  201. Not informational, not learning, not instructional.

  202. It's a relational. You can't be perfected without

  203. being with people who you called to be perfected with.

  204. It's relational. It's a heart posture.

  205. It's an inner man. You can be amongst people but be

  206. disconnected because inside you're unaffected and

  207. disaffected and your affections are other places.

  208. This whole song said this. Your body's here with me, but

  209. your mind is on the other side of town.

  210. You can be one place but not be present there.

  211. Perfecting is not about where your body is.

  212. It's about where your heart and soul is and the people you're

  213. giving your heart and soul to. Discipleship is a strategy for

  214. perfecting the Saints. Discipleship requires

  215. accountability, so whenever you're looking to duck

  216. discipleship, then you're ducking perfecting, and if

  217. you're not being discipled, then you're not being perfected

  218. because discipleship is the strategy through which God does

  219. the perfecting. It's really important to

  220. understand that because if you don't want to be discipled, it's

  221. going to be difficult for you to be perfected and discipled.

  222. In what context? God didn't say I gave teach, I

  223. gave the book writers. He said I gave these five fold

  224. ministry gifts for this, perfecting for this.

  225. This discipleship comes out of what God has established in his

  226. church house, the gifts he's placed in in the church house.

  227. That's why in order to be fully discipled, you got to be

  228. discipled from that context as you move into other contexts.

  229. Discipleship begins with the Word.

  230. You can say I want you to disciple me, but do you let the

  231. Word disciple you? The first thing I got to ask you

  232. is this. It's the Word, the final

  233. authority in your life. Now understand, I'm not saying

  234. it's your favorite verse, the final authority.

  235. I'm not saying it's the verse that gets you what you want,

  236. final authority, but it's the entire Word, the final

  237. authority, so that when you're looking for what you want,

  238. you're also going to be looking for your cup.

  239. Where am I weak? Where am I confused?

  240. Where am I blindsided? Where are my blind spots?

  241. And I'm going to listen to the full counsel of the Word of God.

  242. It begins with the Word. Are you willing to let the Word

  243. disciple you? Now the Word is the Bible, but

  244. it's also the message that comes from the platform every Sunday.

  245. If you're not willing to let those disciple you, then my

  246. speaking in your life is going to be irrelevant.

  247. The Father is speaking to all of us through the bigger context of

  248. what He's saying on Sundays and when we gather.

  249. That's why Sundays is important. My wife said it this way.

  250. Can you imagine looking at a movie?

  251. I'll call it a French film because they're very

  252. conversational. You know a conversational movie

  253. and you come in in the 1st 5 minutes, you leave for 10

  254. minutes, come back in another 10 minutes, you leave for another

  255. 10 minutes and then come back for the final end of the film.

  256. You think you're going to understand the conversation,

  257. What's what happened? Is this in the first part, I'm

  258. going to understand, I'm going to go away.

  259. As soon as I come back, I'm going to say, what did I miss?

  260. And then saying what did I miss? I'm automatically missing what's

  261. in front of me right now, OK. And the whole time I'm trying to

  262. figure out what will happen and where I am, which is mean I'm

  263. not fully receiving what's in front of me.

  264. Then I'm going to go away again. And then when I come back, I'm

  265. going to do this. I don't really miss too much.

  266. I'm gonna finish it, but I'm not going to get it or let it

  267. transform me at all. Conversation it's it's a

  268. conversation and the idea of the messages God's given for a

  269. house, God's doing a conversation.

  270. So 9:00 AM starts the conversation, 12 continues the

  271. conversation. Wednesday we're not going to

  272. Tuesday is another aspect of the conversation.

  273. If you when you say you're letting the messages disciple

  274. you, that means the entire conversation, not just the one

  275. that's convenient for your brunch time, your lunch time,

  276. your work time, your off time, your pleasure time, or your rest

  277. time, or your weekend time. And also the prophetic words of

  278. the house. Are you letting them also help

  279. disciple you? Maturing calls for rooting.

  280. Everyone say rooting. Why?

  281. Because roots means you're going deep.

  282. So you're not shaking. We read in Ephesians 4.

  283. But you don't be tossed to and fro.

  284. That's the aspect of a wind blowing.

  285. Let them to have ears to hear. But you don't be tossed to and

  286. fro because winds are coming. Some of the winds are from the

  287. enemy and some of the winds are from God because God's revealing

  288. to you what your roots and what your fruit are Maturing calls

  289. for rooting. Roots help you seek water.

  290. They help you stand tall. They help you fight wilting.

  291. They anchor you against winds. And this is really key.

  292. Roots protect the soil. Why do I need this brother

  293. rooted in the house? His roots help keep out the soil

  294. of our hearts and the soil of our community together.

  295. If you take all the roots out, then when water comes, the soil

  296. washes away and there's no next generation of trees that can

  297. plant that can grow there. I need Him to be rooted along

  298. with me to be rooted, because together we will help preserve

  299. more soil. What's soil?

  300. The church, the work of the ministry here, the heart of God.

  301. Him being rooted helps us keep a atmosphere for others to come

  302. and get rooted, others to come and get transformed.

  303. Maturing begins and ends with purging or pruning.

  304. He cuts off every branch. Maturing is not dealing with

  305. fruit. Maturing is not fruit.

  306. The fruit is purge. The purge I decide how much I

  307. got to cut back first. Then based on the fruit, I

  308. decide how much I got to cut back again.

  309. The next fruit season doesn't begin when you pick the fruit.

  310. It begins when you cut back that determines the fruit for the

  311. next season. What does that mean?

  312. Maturity means you're going to be, you're going to be cut a lot

  313. more than you're going to be feasting.

  314. And you got to be comfortable with that.

  315. You got to give yourself to a place of saying, I'm willing to

  316. be purged. I'm willing to be checked.

  317. I'm willing to be held accountable because that's the

  318. way you are producing fruit. Now understand this.

  319. The purpose of the tree of the vine is the plant, not the

  320. fruit. The purpose of an apple tree is

  321. not to produce apples, it's to produce apple trees.

  322. It's the consumer that stops at the fruit and neglects the tree.

  323. The whole purpose of the fruit is to contain, to create a

  324. healthy environment in which more apple seeds can be placed.

  325. So when those seeds are then released to the ground, more

  326. apple trees can produce. The purpose of an apple tree is

  327. to produce apple trees, not apples.

  328. If the purpose is apples, you can go to the grocery store and

  329. get apples, but you can't get apple trees at the grocery

  330. store. So understand that this process

  331. is to produce a healthy infrastructure, not just the

  332. benefits of what the infrastructure brings.

  333. Perfecting is the is for the work of the ministry to the body

  334. of Christ, not unbelievers. Go back and read the scripture

  335. we just talked about for the perfecting of the Saints, for

  336. the work of the ministry to the edifying of the body of Christ.

  337. The perfecting is to help you prepare the body, not the

  338. unbelievers. So if you're perfecting but

  339. evading the body, then you are really missing the point of your

  340. perfecting. And it can be very easy to

  341. distract you from what perfecting is by having you do

  342. something that's focused more on those that don't believe or

  343. those that are outside of your body.

  344. The local church body that God gives you your perfecting is for

  345. your local body as well. There's A and it's for the work

  346. of the ministry. Everyone say work of the

  347. ministry. John 6 says this.

  348. What's the work of God? To believe the work of the

  349. ministry is not to do is to believe in the one he has He has

  350. sent. That's the work of the ministry.

  351. Perfecting is coming to help you further believe in the one that

  352. God has sent. That's very important because it

  353. goes back to heart posture who you are on the inside

  354. individually. Perfecting is for that

  355. relationship with God the Father not accomplishing more work and

  356. it's good to know father in the context of all of his kids and

  357. particularly the families placed you in 2nd Corinthians 517

  358. through 19 talks about this. That part of our work is the

  359. ministry of reconciliation. When we talk about the work of

  360. the ministry, what's the work to believe in the one He sent and

  361. then to reconcile us and others to that one whom He sent to

  362. reconcile us and others to God as a Father.

  363. That reconciliation is not a one time thing.

  364. It is a continuing, ongoing thing in which you are

  365. continually measuring how am I walking relative to the full

  366. image of Christ so therefore I can grow more fully to that

  367. image of Christ. It's not a one time thing.

  368. Jesus has done it all in his sacrifice.

  369. But we live it out all day today and we live it out in the

  370. context of our community and the context of our local body.

  371. Perfecting leads to the unity of the body that causes the world

  372. to know that Jesus was sent. Those scriptures there talk

  373. about how God's Jesus says, God, I want them to know that you

  374. sent me. Have them dwell in unity.

  375. Ephesians 4 talked about for the perfecting of the Saints, for

  376. the edifying of the body of Christ, until they come to the

  377. unity of the faith, not the doctrine, the unity of the

  378. faith. This perfecting is to bring us

  379. to a place of unity in the faith, not for theology, but for

  380. the knowledge of the Son. The purpose of the unity is to

  381. know Jesus as a Son. God is a Father, and for us to

  382. know who He is. Not to throw theology around and

  383. say this is better or that is better.

  384. The perfecting leads to that kind of unity because when we're

  385. walking in that unity, Jesus says the world will know that

  386. God sent me. It's easy.

  387. The issue is sometimes the church is distracted by trying

  388. to win the lost and stepping over the people in their

  389. household. It's great.

  390. I can be generous of people outside the house, but am I

  391. loving the folks in my house? It's for the body.

  392. The purpose of perfecting is not to overtly reach the lost, but

  393. to create a mature body so loving and united with the

  394. Father and each other that the world is compelled to ask, what

  395. do I got to do to experience this?

  396. That is the purpose of the perfecting.

  397. And you can't say I'm perfecting with God, but not being

  398. perfected with His body, and most specifically with the local

  399. church he's assigned and called you to.

  400. Perfecting has processes, multiple processes.

  401. Perfecting has a process, and I mean there's different

  402. processes. I want to talk about two as I

  403. close. Suffering is the beginning of

  404. maturing to hope. If perfecting is maturing, then

  405. suffering is a process by which you mature to hope.

  406. You gave me what? You can't run from hard work.

  407. You can't run from when it's hard or when you have to

  408. sacrifice because suffering, not pain.

  409. Suffering is hard work. You can suffer without pain.

  410. Suffering means just to endure and put yourself under, and to

  411. submit yourself to and to sacrifice.

  412. Romans 5 says this. Therefore, since we have been

  413. justified through faith, we have peace with God our Lord Jesus

  414. Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this

  415. grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory

  416. of God. Here we go, verse 3.

  417. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings because we

  418. know that suffering produces perseverance, perfecting

  419. perseverance, character, and character hope.

  420. Notice how much of that is about the Saint being perfected, not

  421. just the saint's performance being perfected.

  422. And hope does not put us to shame because God's love has

  423. been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who's

  424. been given unto us. The process of perfecting that

  425. involves suffering leads to a hope that responds to the love

  426. of God in a way where the love of God can't be defeated.

  427. The love of God can't be can't be blocked or stopped.

  428. And another process is using what you have is the process of

  429. maturing to knowing right from wrong and righteousness.

  430. Hebrews 5 says this. We have much to say about this,

  431. but it's hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try

  432. to understand. You quit trying to understand.

  433. You quit trying to grow. You quit trying to press in.

  434. You quit trying. Now you're waiting for people to

  435. come to you rather than you going out and trying.

  436. In fact, though, by this time you ought to be teachers.

  437. You need someone to teach you the elementary truth of God's

  438. Word all over again. You need milk, not solid food.

  439. Anyone who lives on milk being still an infant is not

  440. acquainted with the teaching about righteousness.

  441. You need to know be mature to understand righteousness.

  442. But solid food is for the mature who by constant use have trained

  443. themselves to distinguish good and evil.

  444. If you're not using what God is doing, you will not know good

  445. from evil, and you will never be prepared for the mature weight

  446. of your things. Perfecting requires you to use

  447. what's being given. The word being preached, the

  448. sermon's being delivered, the relationships being here, the

  449. leaders God's put in your life. If you are not using them as a

  450. resource, using them to help disciple you, then you are

  451. missing out on what God is giving to perfecting you.

  452. I want to close with this. Hebrews 511 from the AMPC says

  453. this. Concerning this we have much to

  454. say, which is hard to explain since you have become dull in

  455. your hearing and sluggish, even slothful and achieving spiritual

  456. insight. For even though by this time you

  457. ought to be teaching others, you actually need someone to teach

  458. you all over again. You've come to need milk, not

  459. solid food. That last phrase, it's

  460. suggesting this. There was a time when you

  461. desired meat. There was a time when you want

  462. to press in the meat, but you've grown sluggish.

  463. You don't try to understand. You separate yourself from the

  464. body. You separate yourself from a

  465. heart, affection, commitment to the people that God has around

  466. you, and you just don't even try anymore.

  467. You used to do that and because you've drifted, now I got to go

  468. back to the beginning with you and teach you from the very

  469. beginning. You can lose what you got if

  470. you're not maturing, is the point.

  471. If you're not maturing, you're losing what you got by

  472. definition, and if you're not doing it in the context of the

  473. body, then you're not able to fully mature, which means you

  474. eat still own milk anyway. God is calling us to perfect for

  475. the wild and in the wild. Want to pray?

  476. Father, we thank you for the Word.

  477. We thank you for His ability to penetrate our hearts and lives

  478. and our souls. We thank you, Father, our hearts

  479. and lives are open and we receive not only the Word, but

  480. the voice of your Spirit on which that Word is carried.

  481. We thank you, Lord God, that we're going to let the Word

  482. transform us and everything that Pastor Terrence prayed about

  483. being gielded to the Spirit to hear and listen today, We're in

  484. agreement with it. So let the Word bear fruit, let

  485. the word transform, let the word cut.

  486. What cut needs to be? Let the word prune what pruning

  487. needs to be. God, everything's on the table

  488. today. All of it.

  489. Even the secret parts I keep from everybody.

  490. It's all on the table. Today we received in Jesus name,

  491. Amen. He is equipping us because the

  492. wind it's about to blow. The wind is blowing.

  493. I was watching these two Katrina documentaries and I remember

  494. that time and not really get into the governmental side of

  495. things and all that, but just the, the actual Katrina and

  496. there was warning that this tornado was coming or hurricane

  497. was coming. Like most hurricanes have a

  498. warning. And, and there's these levees

  499. that I forget the, the hurricane that happened in the 60s that

  500. was even worse than Katrina, but the levees broke then and then

  501. the hurricane was over. So the damage, most of the

  502. damage that we saw was not from the hurricane.

  503. It was from the levees breaking. And after they broke, before

  504. they did, they did all their research and they built these

  505. levees, but they also built these levees that that they knew

  506. with the right storm would be broken again.

  507. And the levees was to keep the city from flooding because the

  508. city is in a ball, it's 6 feet below sea level.

  509. And I encourage you go and go and go and watch the

  510. documentary. But the idea that that I'm

  511. getting to is the the wind came like it was told it was coming,

  512. but but the people was not prepared for what the wind would

  513. activate. See you.

  514. You're just thinking that the wind blowing.

  515. But when the wind blows, it's going to expose things.

  516. It's going to expose if the walls that you have put up are

  517. Gods way of of of guarding your heart or that was your trauma or

  518. your carnal way of the wind is blowing and it's coming and even

  519. in this room today the wind is blowing.

  520. I feel the Lord. I sense the spirit really trying

  521. to get us to look at our hearts. Watch this there.

  522. There will be no slides from from me today.

  523. I am, yeah. Thank you, EJ Matthew 13 to

  524. start at verse 11. Can you give me the TPT really

  525. quickly, please? The wind is blowing.

  526. It's not just harvest time, it's inspection time.

  527. And, and the fact that he's going to come and blow away all

  528. the little, little paper houses we built and the sand houses we

  529. built is because he loves us. Understand that pruning is God's

  530. love, he explained. You've been given the intimate

  531. experience of insight into the hidden truths and mysteries of

  532. the realm of Heaven's Kingdom, but they have not believers.

  533. The truths that God has shared with you is precious.

  534. Not every believer knows Jesus and if he has been revealed to

  535. you, if you have experienced any amount of revelation, understand

  536. that you are in an elect or an elite group of people, not

  537. better than, but there is something that has been unveiled

  538. to you that has not been saw by everybody.

  539. Every Christian don't see Jesus. We we use, we request, we

  540. demand, but not every believer in this room walks with Jesus.

  541. Every believer he walks with, Not every believer walks with

  542. him. OK, He said what I've given you.

  543. Not everybody that was at my sermon heard what you heard.

  544. Not everyone in this room is hearing the same thing.

  545. Watch it next verse for everyone who listens with an open heart

  546. will receive progressively more revelation until he has more

  547. than enough. He left off talking about meat

  548. and milk and saying that, you know, you actually got to keep

  549. being perfected to keep growing. You got to keep eating to keep

  550. growing. You look, look, you got to get

  551. muscle. We're not eating to get fat.

  552. We're eating to get strong. We're eating to get muscle.

  553. We need protein. He says, but those who don't

  554. listen with an open heart teach. Your bold heart is why the

  555. scripture says I pray that the eyes of your heart, there's a

  556. lot of us in here. Oh, you hear me, right?

  557. You like, you hear what you hear.

  558. Here's the here's the ear test. When I say, hey, it's my last

  559. scripture, last point, you might say, yeah, right, you heard.

  560. But the moment you're paying attention to length and not

  561. substance, you don't have an open heart or teachable.

  562. You have a critical heart, a judgmental heart, a suspicious

  563. heart. It says those who don't listen

  564. with an open heart. They say those who don't listen.

  565. He's speaking to your posture of listening.

  566. Some of you come in here and listen for what your friends

  567. told you to watch out for. Even the understanding that they

  568. think they have will be taken from them.

  569. It's not PT. This is, this is JC.

  570. That's who talking. It's red right here.

  571. This is red ink right here. He said those that don't come

  572. with a teachable heart. An open heart.

  573. Teachable. Accountability.

  574. Listen. Ready.

  575. Teachable. You don't know it all.

  576. Don't care how long you've been saved.

  577. Don't get. Don't care how many doctorates

  578. you have. Don't care.

  579. We flesh and blood did not reveal this to you.

  580. Oxford. Oxnard did not.

  581. Harvard did not reveal this to you.

  582. It didn't reveal this to you. Your app didn't reveal this to

  583. you. Yo, you too pastor, didn't

  584. reveal this to you. Your parachurch you belong to

  585. didn't reveal this to you. You listen more to people that

  586. don't even know you than the ones that can smell you.

  587. Shepherds smell the sheep. And you're more submissive to

  588. leaders across the world that don't even know you beside a

  589. Zoom. You keep distance from in person

  590. accountability. In person word, you critique

  591. everything. But then you look at the

  592. magnitude of other people's ministry and somehow the the

  593. quantity of following is what got you listening.

  594. Last days, you can see how we'll stray away.

  595. We have options. At first it was just the church

  596. down the street. Now it's the church down the

  597. street, around the corner, five blocks away.

  598. It's the online church. It's the church in my phone.

  599. It's my friend's church. It's my mama's church.

  600. It's it's YouTube. It's Instagram.

  601. I don't even need YouTube because I don't want nothing

  602. that long. I can just get Yep, I have I, I

  603. look, look, when you listen to sermons like this, you a milk

  604. Christian, right, right. Like I've never went nowhere

  605. with really good meat and rushed that meal.

  606. My fork and knife hit the hit the table a few times because

  607. I'm letting this thing digest. This ain't no buddy burger.

  608. This ain't no quick little meal through the drive through.

  609. This is some substance. This is prime rib.

  610. This is rib eye. No bone in it.

  611. This this is aged meat. That's that's why I teach.

  612. Watch this. Watch this, watch this yo-yo, we

  613. just made Jesus in this little soft little just oh, he just

  614. going to care about my pity party.

  615. He going to see that I'm not getting my needs met.

  616. And so he going to help me find a place where my needs are going

  617. to watch what he does. He says if you don't have an

  618. open heart, what he has revealed to you, the little you have

  619. gotten, he's going to take that away.

  620. That's why you got to start over at milk, because the meat you

  621. did have, it was taken away because you stopped eating, he

  622. said. That's why I teach the people

  623. using. Parables.

  624. That's why I speak. High language, you know, we, we,

  625. we want, we want pastors to dumb it down.

  626. Like just talk about love because I'm hurt.

  627. I just want to know, you know, that I'm hurt and I love.

  628. Let's talk about relationships. I'm like, can you help me with

  629. my love life? Milk, you tell me how to get

  630. more money. Those those financial principles

  631. in the Bible, Milk, he says. Because they think they're

  632. looking for truth. You know how people come to the

  633. church and be like, I'm ready? To hear from the Lord today.

  634. What if the what? That's why I teach the people

  635. using parables, because they think they're looking for the

  636. truth. Yet because their hearts are

  637. unteachable, they never discover the truth.

  638. Although they will listen to me, they never fully perceive the

  639. message I speak. What?

  640. What do you say? Fully perceive?

  641. Fully perceive. They never fully receive the

  642. message I speak. Next verse, please.

  643. The prophecy. Isaiah describes them perfectly.

  644. Although they listen carefully to everything I speak, they

  645. don't understand a thing I say. They look and pretend to see,

  646. but the eyes of their hearts are closed, their minds are dull and

  647. slow to perceive, their ears are plugged and are hard of hearing,

  648. and they have deliberately shut their eyes to the truth.

  649. Otherwise they would open their eyes to see and open their

  650. hearts to open their ears to hear and open their minds to

  651. understand. Then they would turn to me and

  652. let me instantly heal them. Oh, you thought because you went

  653. to revival night, run to the altar, lay hands on me, throw

  654. some oil on me. No, no, no, no.

  655. Instant healing comes from the embracing of of some of that

  656. meat that you don't want to hear, embracing the teachers and

  657. pastors and apostles and and prophets that God has sent you.

  658. Elder John said something about it's about a tree, the

  659. infrastructure, but here it is what a lot of our arguments or

  660. distaste is or choosing of churches is the programs that

  661. they provide for us, fruit, healthy infrastructure.

  662. Rarely have we went to a church and said how will you mature?

  663. Me. Let me look at the fruit of the

  664. maturing in your church versus the perfect, the perfect

  665. programs you offer. I'm not saying man, all of this

  666. is great, but it's like the stuff that got us stuck and the

  667. stuff we need to be locked into. A church is rarely Jesus.

  668. What if it's too long? Well, how do we?

  669. How do we serve the people that's really hungry and don't

  670. mind longer? What, what, what, what?

  671. What if we're in a tent? What if the children's ministry

  672. ain't up to par, Are you? What, what, what, what if we in

  673. the ghetto? What, what, what, what?

  674. What if you can't predict? What if you can't put your thumb

  675. on what God's doing? What, what if you can't find the

  676. pulse? What, what, what if you can't

  677. have control? What, what what?

  678. And what do you need to do the work of the ministry?

  679. Now what do you need to be comfortable?

  680. The work of the ministry EJ is this to help people carry their

  681. cross, starting with you. The work of the ministry is not

  682. merely producing a Sunday service that keeps you coming

  683. back. The goal is not merely to feel

  684. deceased when you're sent to go out there.

  685. The goal is not to make you feel like you have a couch in the

  686. house. The goal is to make you uncomfy

  687. because we're on the go. Jesus is returning.

  688. The goal is not to stop at I found my church home.

  689. The goal is to I found my church equipping center.

  690. Jesus is my home abide in me. I abide in you Your your your

  691. favorite church is not your home.

  692. Jesus is your home. The Father in that church house

  693. is your home, but the work of the ministry is get living a

  694. winning life because that's your witness light of the world.

  695. Get out there and make disciples to obey what the Lord says.

  696. But we're arguing over preferences.

  697. So what if we got church Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,

  698. Friday, 7 AM, 10 AM. The point is to fish.

  699. So maybe you got to have diversity because there's a

  700. pond, there's a river, there's an ocean there, there's a lake,

  701. there's all types of watch this. You ain't the only fish.

  702. We got salmon that flow against the stream.

  703. There's all types of fishing and he said you are fishers of men,

  704. not fishers of her. And we just overlooked the

  705. concepts that Jesus had given us.

  706. God's doing a new thing in the earth 20 years from now.

  707. Church will look different. It'll look different.

  708. How we do it, the approach and how we do it, how we reach

  709. people, it's going to look different.

  710. Your local church is an assignment, not a luxury, right?

  711. You don't just go to any college, not every college.

  712. And and then maybe you go to any junior.

  713. College while you trying to figure out what you want to

  714. major in. But your local church is not

  715. just this little pop up thing. You just whoever, whoever

  716. talking about Jesus or wherever is the Bible.

  717. That's where I'm going to go. No, you don't just go to any

  718. college. You don't just apply for any

  719. job. You don't just go to any

  720. restaurant. Matthew 1324.

  721. I believe it's the message I. Saw something and this is

  722. something that contributes to the falling away, the

  723. lukewarmness. And I love the analogy of a body

  724. because you could take the word, you can look at it corporately,

  725. you can you look at it universally when it comes to the

  726. body, but you also can make it individually.

  727. Right, He told another story. God's Kingdom is like a farmer

  728. who planted good seed in his field that night, that night.

  729. God's Kingdom is like a farmer who planted good seed, good seed

  730. in his field that night while he while his hired men were asleep.

  731. His enemy sold thistles all through.

  732. Maybe it's the amplifier. I just I need, I need to see, I

  733. need to see Darnell. I think it's amplified classic.

  734. Amplified classic. Thank you.

  735. Here's a parable. Remember this is he, he tells

  736. parables. Because folks really ain't

  737. listening. So those that really want to

  738. listen from their heart, then you're going to pursue deeper

  739. understanding. The Kingdom of God is like a man

  740. who sold good seed in his field, but while he was sleeping his

  741. enemy came. While he was sleeping, his enemy

  742. came. While he was sleeping his enemy

  743. came and sold. Also, Darnell weeds resembling

  744. weeds resembling weeds resembling lies resembling

  745. truth. Watch this wisdom resembling

  746. God's answer, weeds resembling weeds among the weeds and went

  747. out, went on his way. So this is not an enemy that

  748. hangs around that needs to be cast out.

  749. He sows a thought garden. He sews a he starts with an

  750. imagination. He sews a question.

  751. He sews something. He gives you wisdom.

  752. He brings your counterfeit spouse.

  753. He brings you the pastor that you think you want, but it's

  754. just it's you can call him Bishop flesh.

  755. It's it's, it's, it's the one that speaks to your fleshly

  756. needs. It's the one that speaks to your

  757. cultural, the relevance of what you want to be a part of.

  758. It's not the one that's going to dig deep into your soul like the

  759. word does and divide and expose this guy.

  760. Darnell. He said so when it plants, it's

  761. sprouted and formed grain. The Darnell appeared also when

  762. it was harvest time, Darnell was up in there.

  763. Hey, what's up girl? Right?

  764. The opportunity. During harvest time, counterfeit

  765. opportunities present itself. And when the wind blows, it

  766. ain't just bringing fruit, it's also you.

  767. That's why you need to be eating meat, because you need eyes to

  768. see, you need ears to hear in this hour.

  769. And the servants of the owner came to him and said, Sir, did

  770. you not sow good seed in your field?

  771. God, have you not been given us Word?

  772. God, have you not been warning us?

  773. Have you not been sowing good seed in US?

  774. Have you not been revealing truth to us?

  775. Have you not been warning us, encouraging us?

  776. Have you not sent prophets? How many churches you know a

  777. prophet can walk in and have a word for a church and that body

  778. can hear and see and release the prophet that was sent to the

  779. house to speak into the house and then have the maturity to

  780. make sure the house stewards that word?

  781. How many churches you know the prophet is alive in that house

  782. this last hour? If all you be in is taught, you

  783. getting fat and when the wind blows, you ain't going to be

  784. able to move because you're not agile, because God has not been

  785. proven to be able to enter your life and do what He wants to do,

  786. mold you how He wants to mold you.

  787. I was supposed to be in Atlanta today for an extremely cool

  788. opportunity to work with a very hot producer right now.

  789. Three days ago I was supposed and I made a decision at the

  790. last minute and I said, man, I can't come.

  791. I need to be here. Can we reschedule?

  792. I was afraid to mess up the opportunity because I thought

  793. the opportunity was going to pass, right?

  794. This, this man or this woman? Is this the one God, If I don't

  795. take it this time, Oh my, my, my, my, I'm not going to be able

  796. to get pregnant. I'm, I need to get to have a

  797. baby now. I need to get a job now.

  798. I need to move now. And when the wind is blowing,

  799. the greatest thing you can have is rootedness.

  800. When there's a fear a year that God labels a year the year of

  801. the fear of God and then he was so good to say the fog because

  802. the flip side of it, the reason I need the fear of God because

  803. this may be a year I cannot see clear, not because I'm in sin.

  804. A lack of clarity does not mean you are wrong or missing

  805. something. Sometimes God is hiding things

  806. from you, so the only thing you need to see is not the thing you

  807. want, but the thing you were made to worship is him.

  808. Stop always wanting to see what's next and see what he got

  809. for you. And who is my spouse, Reed?

  810. When the last time you begged him to reveal him to you?

  811. Not a spouse. It's it's it's harvest time.

  812. But this is a time where great exposure is happening, he says.

  813. Sir, did you not? He said.

  814. Then then how does, how does how did Darnell get here?

  815. You've been sitting under all this word.

  816. How that's still happening to you?

  817. How you still so gullible? How you still getting pulled

  818. into that direction? You've been sitting under all

  819. that word. Why you still anxious?

  820. Because all you've been doing is just receiving seed.

  821. You ain't dealt with weeds. You ain't dealt with your roots.

  822. You have not let God transplant. You just let them.

  823. Plant you let them sow seed you haven't let them take purge,

  824. you're still holding on the stuff.

  825. God's like, let it go. What if God said it ain't your

  826. time for that, it's our time for us?

  827. What if there's a season God just wants you by himself

  828. because you finally got ears to hear, and the moment you can

  829. hear, now you want to get your ears away to something or

  830. somebody else. Can you go for a few years

  831. without having gaps filled and let God feel them?

  832. Can you walk with God? Walk with God, not just be a.

  833. Christian, can you walk with God?

  834. Can you find you in God's rhythm and pace?

  835. Hey, look, I got kids I got to go to.

  836. Calgary in a few days. Why?

  837. Because my kids on another pace. The more people you add to your

  838. life, guess what pace you're going to be all over.

  839. You're going to be all over the pace.

  840. And This is why you got to get rooted in Him first, so that

  841. anybody that comes in your life, the rhythm that they merge into

  842. is one that God has established, he replied.

  843. Watch this an enemy has done this.

  844. The servant said to him then do you want us to go and weed them

  845. out? Said no, let's in gathering the

  846. wild wheat you. Root up the true.

  847. Wheat along with it, he said. Let them grow together until the

  848. wind blows. And when the wind blows, I will

  849. say to the reapers, gather Darnell first before you get any

  850. fruit in this season, the Lord's gathering, Darnell, be careful

  851. what you fight God to hold on to because God's faithful, the

  852. fruit is coming. But if you are faithful, more

  853. faithful over Darnell than you are your relationship with God

  854. and what He has for you, Darnell will then enter into your

  855. harvest time. What do you say?

  856. Gather Darnell first and bind it in bundles to be burned.

  857. But gather the wheat to my granary.

  858. Somebody say Darnell. Now this is individually, but

  859. now I want to say something. In every culture there's a

  860. subculture, and I'm speaking to the.

  861. Subculture leaders and voices in this room.

  862. The subculture leaders. Who are those who will hear the

  863. word? They're a part of the community,

  864. they're a part of the culture. But in their own little coffee

  865. time, in their own little little side ministries, they have

  866. conversations about the culture, what they don't like, what could

  867. be better, da da da da da, not knowing.

  868. In some ways they're also sewing questions, suggestions, which

  869. then birth in the immature doubt subculture, right?

  870. You don't you don't you don't you don't go get counsel from

  871. Pastor Julia, but you got your own male or female who you lean

  872. on that ain't that don't even know you the same way.

  873. And here's what I know about good shepherds.

  874. They don't got to hang out in the field with you to know you

  875. all the time. The assigned shepherd knows you

  876. through divine connection and what I do know is those that

  877. don't want to be pastored. You are a leader that is used to

  878. start subculture spiritually, spiritually, spiritually.

  879. It's not you starting your own church.

  880. It's not any of that. It is a spiritual thing.

  881. Pastor T&P day talk about dating you the person on the side that

  882. will get in somebody's ear and be like.

  883. Girl wouldn't like I I. Feel what he's saying, but right

  884. it's the butt culture right it's the culture that that that

  885. surround around the opinion of the word here.

  886. It is teachable heart and you don't realize that you are being

  887. used to plant Darnell when you've been called to disciple.

  888. Find have your insecurities, have your doubts, have your

  889. complaints, but shut your mouth and keep it to yourself.

  890. If you don't want to be here, if you don't like what you see, if

  891. you have, keep it to yourself. And that's not PT, that is God

  892. telling you shut your mouth because you are planting Darnell

  893. in infants and the Bible talks about the root of bitterness

  894. that comes up. Watch it is, watch how it is.

  895. He says it is presented to be good.

  896. We do a lot of stuff and say a lot of stuff in Jesus name in

  897. protecting and loving my sister and loving my brother.

  898. Every person in here has had a manipulative spirit at some

  899. point or time. What do I mean?

  900. You've said something or are you like, I ain't going to even say

  901. nothing no more. Somebody come to you and ask a

  902. question or during the service. I see you looking.

  903. I've even seen people texting. I pay attention.

  904. I see one person text seeing women and women, then they look

  905. over there and then I see the other person boom, boom, and

  906. then they looking back and forth.

  907. I I I busted, I busted the band before.

  908. Michael, Michael, Michael, Michael, you guys have how you

  909. doing, Sir? Michael Michael being used to be

  910. texting. Sometimes he's like no, no, no,

  911. no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, right, sometimes and and then

  912. see, now you don't hear. The spirit of you like, oh, he

  913. said. Shut up.

  914. Some people dealing with no. No, no, I'm sure Jesus call them

  915. brew Vipers. Have I called you out your name

  916. right. Did you see?

  917. See, we don't the Bible. We we don't really want Jesus

  918. though. We don't really want the five

  919. fold ministry. We don't want apostles.

  920. We don't want prophets. We want pastors.

  921. That's what we want. We we we don't.

  922. We don't want the apostle. To come in.

  923. Snatch us. We don't want the real shepherd

  924. to snatch us out the grip. What?

  925. But we love David's story, huh? But we forgot that he snatched

  926. the sheep out of the the Wait, wait, wait.

  927. We we highlight Goliath because we love this big old superhero

  928. story, but we don't look at the intimacy of David having to

  929. snatch a sheep out of the paw of a bear.

  930. If then when they're shepherds that come and say, I can't

  931. explain it to you because I got to cover everybody, but you are

  932. in the ball. That person ain't the bear.

  933. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but when you got good

  934. shepherds in the land and you refuse to listen, that is a

  935. dangerous culture We're we're creating.

  936. We wonder why the world looks at the church and laugh because in

  937. a lot of ways we are a joke. We turn on each other.

  938. The streets I came from man, We had real conversations.

  939. You had beef with somebody back in the day that you put on some

  940. gloves and you box it out and then guess what y'all do?

  941. Y'all ride bikes and go play again with each other these

  942. days, Christians. We just walk out the back door.

  943. We murmur, we complain. We don't have no real

  944. conversations. We'll sit in meetings for hours

  945. with people and never say everything.

  946. We'll keep parts off the table from good shepherds, from people

  947. who love you. What's the Bible say?

  948. He corrects, He realigns, He re establishes.

  949. Those who he love. And because we've adopted the

  950. world's version of love and we've mistaken God's love.

  951. And God's love leads to maturity.

  952. God's love. Raises up sons and daughters who

  953. don't always need clarity before movement.

  954. Yeah, right. Even that I did.

  955. That's neat right there. There's some stuff that the

  956. father says to the son. What we doing today?

  957. Because the son is the soul winner, because the daughter is

  958. a worshipper, there comes a point in the relationship where

  959. he says, what we doing OK, y'all want to go have worship in the

  960. park? Let's do it.

  961. It ain't always well, let's pray about it.

  962. And God, I woke up in a dream and God said we, we should, I

  963. saw, I saw us in a park somewhere around a lot of trees.

  964. I think that's the Lord saying it's time for a concert in the

  965. park. That's, that's that's hard.

  966. That's a hard relationship. What if every time your husband

  967. said I want to go out to dinner and you like let me pray about

  968. it. Can I just come home and say,

  969. Hey babe, I don't care what you wearing we going to dinner

  970. tonight. Let's go.

  971. Can can we do spontaneous stuff in our marriage?

  972. Have you ever had friendship where y'all were just sitting

  973. around and somebody was like, hey, we should go to let's go.

  974. But then every time when God is like he's, he's, he's put his

  975. grace on somebody or some people and those people really what,

  976. what's the point of walking with God if you always got to stop

  977. and get clarity? Ain't, ain't he clarity?

  978. Ain't he clarity? So if I'm walking with him, it

  979. comes a point that everything that I'm doing he's interested

  980. in and everything he's doing, I'm interested in.

  981. We're one. That's why he says abide in me,

  982. my word, abide in you. We going to roll together and

  983. anything you ask, I shall give it to you.

  984. Why? Because now you only want what I

  985. want. I want what you want because you

  986. what you want is what I want. You don't get married and be

  987. like, hey, you want. You want to have some kids.

  988. It's kind of assume we get married and we're going to start

  989. a. Family right?

  990. Yeah, some of y'all like I don't, I don't know.

  991. OK, well, you know what I'm saying.

  992. It's like, let's assume like we get married with starting a

  993. family that's just kind of and then you just get married and

  994. you go to work, right? And you, it is not like if you

  995. about to get married this morning, you just like.

  996. Do you want to start a family? And just like, let me pray about

  997. that. Let me, I don't know, let me get

  998. clarity if I want to have kids with you.

  999. What what would what would you say?

1000. See, the point of walking with God and maturing is to take the

  1001. transactions out the relationship.

1002. One of the ways the enemy destroys culture is through

1003. subcultures. He thrives in subculture.

  1004. Subculture. There's, there's a lot of extra,

  1005. there's a lot of sideshows. There's a there's, we're part of

1006. the culture. We're just adjacent to it.

1007. I need the community. But I don't necessarily need the

1008. anointing on the House. I need a word, but I don't need

1009. pastoring. Well, well, let's not look at

1010. the He gave. Jesus died, He rose, and he gave

1011. 5 gifts to grow to church. Neither.

1012. One was a pair of church. Parachurches are great, but I

1013. would I would be very careful when the leaders of parachurches

  1014. aren't rooted in a church because there's a lot of

1015. churches a parachurches that are birthed out of church hurt or

1016. because their gifts weren't being used.

1017. They decided to go start this thing over here.

1018. And a lot of times what you gather is a lot of other church

1019. hurt people. So we need the fear of the Lord

1020. in this hour. Matthew 11.

1021. And in this next experience, EJ, you'll pick up where you left

1022. left off. I'll pick up where I left off

1023. and write this down. There's no wind without a word,

1024. and there's no word without a wind.

1025. He said Ezekiel, you prophecy to the Spirit.

1026. The wind ain't just coming. You got to call it and and and

1027. love quest. We didn't pulled heaven down.

1028. We didn't we didn't we didn't did all kinds of prophetic and

1029. illustrated and we didn't we didn't laid.

1030. We didn't snot it on the floor. We didn't we didn't mean we we

1031. had went in. We didn't shut Sundays down had

1032. church every day. We didn't fast for 40 days.

1033. We didn't fast for 75 days. We fast for three days.

  1034. We didn't we didn't worship long.

1035. We didn't worship short. We didn't went into Jackpool

1036. Plaza. We went to art gallery.

1037. We didn't went to Seattle. We didn't went to Aquamento.

  1038. We didn't went to Kelowna. We didn't, we didn't, we didn't

1039. went to Abbyss fur. We have carried it around.

1040. The wind is about to blow. The worst thing you can do is do

1041. all of that and not be ready for the tornado you pulled on.

1042. How you gonna start a fight then run?

1043. Matthew 11, he says it's responding to the word time.

1044. It is a time to throw yourself fully at Jesus.

1045. Not one foot fully, not nothing man, not withholding, nothing

1046. complete undone this. This is what he did say.

1047. EJ, there's a lot. Look at the world that we are

1048. in. I want you to really hear what

1049. I'm about to say. There's a lot of tired people in

1050. here. When I say tired, I'm not

1051. talking about you need some sleep.

1052. I I need some sleep. Your soul is tired and that's

1053. what the world is meant to do. Wear us down.

1054. If you If you spend three to five hours on Instagram, you're

1055. so tired. If you spend all day day

1056. dreaming about what's next, you're so tired.

1057. If Jesus is not the main thing, your soul is tired.

1058. Only thing that can keep your soul from being tired is Jesus

1059. being the main thing in your life.

1060. Matthew 11 says this. 28, come to me.

  1061. It's crazy, huh? EJ?

1062. We got this. This is what we say to this is

1063. what we say to him. What?

1064. What if we kind of changed our exhortative moments versus

1065. inviting him here like he ain't here.

1066. And then our exhortation was, Lord, we're here.

  1067. We're waiting for you. We're here.

1068. He's here. What are you doing to be aware

1069. of His presence? Come to me.

1070. It's an invitation for you. He's pursued you by way of the

1071. cross. How dare us keep on asking Him

1072. to do this and do that for us when a lot of the things we're

1073. asking Him to fix, we didn't start with Him.

1074. We just need Him to bail us out. Savior.

1075. He's not Lord. If he was Lord, you wouldn't be

1076. in the mess you were in the first place.

1077. Come all you. Not pastors, not just the

  1078. leaders. All you.

1079. Not the world, all you. Not just the mentally ill.

1080. All you, not the ones you can point out be like they need

1081. Jesus, you do too. All you who labor and are heavy

1082. laden and overburden you see overburden you.

1083. You carrying stuff you don't need to be carrying overburden.

1084. Some of y'all don't look overburdened spiritually you.

1085. Overburdened and I will cause you to rest.

1086. I will cause you to rest, but I first need you to come.

1087. I will ease and I will relieve, and I'll refresh your soul.

1088. I will relieve and refresh your souls.

1089. Take my yoke. Uh oh.

1090. It's a trade, not an addition. If you trying to keep yo yoke

1091. and add his yoke it's not going to work.

1092. His yoke only fit on available necks.

1093. Take your chain off. Take take my yoke up on you and

  1094. learn. That's the second.

1095. Part Wow, learn of me so it's not just help me Lord, but if

1096. you're going to walk with him, you got to learn his pace.

1097. You got to learn how he moves. But I am gentle and humble in

1098. heart. You will find rest.

1099. This is the one thing that everyone in the world's looking

  1100. for. We need million.

1101. We we trying to be millionaires because if we think it's going

1102. at the end of millionaire, it's going to be rest.

1103. We trying to get married because we think at the end of marriage

1104. is going to be rest. We, we, we doing all these

1105. things is ultimately your soul is crying out for a place of its

1106. original intent to live. Your soul knows it is not being

1107. nourished properly. The world does not have your

1108. soul's best interest, he said. And recreation and blessed quiet

1109. for your souls. For my yoke is wholesome,

1110. useful, good, not. Harsh, hard, sharp or.

1111. Pressing but comfortable, gracious, pleasant and my burden

1112. is light and easy to be born. Then he tells us, carry our

1113. cross. It's almost like we got this

1114. picture of like following Jesus and walking Jesus is one of the

1115. hardest things to do in the world.

1116. It is, but it's also the most rewarding for your tripart.

1117. Being the cross leads to wholeness.

1118. The flesh leads to destruction. That's why you must crucify.

1119. That's why you must be equipped. In the next experience we're

1120. going to find out that there's no peace without order.

1121. So true perfecting is God re establishing order in our lives.

1122. And order comes before peace. So there's no way to get the

1123. peace that transcends all understanding without God's

1124. order. And there's no way to get back

1125. to God's order without perfecting.

1126. So in the next experience, we're going to look at God's call to

1127. peace. But as much as you want his

1128. peace, you will never reach it without maturity, without him

1129. being enough. You will never experience this

1130. peace, Father, we thank You that you love us enough to correct,

1131. to realign, to challenge us. Lord, you sent your only son.

1132. That death would not hold me because it couldn't hold you.

1133. That sin, the wages of sin, could not keep me because it

1134. couldn't keep you. You shed your blood.

1135. You gave us your spirit. You left us your word.

1136. You gave us your name. May your bride rise in this

  1137. hour. The Remnant.

  1138. That you are. Calling.

1139. May they hear you now. Many called, few chosen.

1140. May the laborers be plenty in this hour.

1141. Lord, expose our blind spots. Lord, may we not be one of the

1142. elect that is drawn away. But we prophesied to the Spirit.

1143. Of life we prophesied to the wind, and we say blow.

1144. We're not asking you to hold off the blowing blow.

1145. Come now when we cry out for revival, Lord, we also are

1146. crying out to be exposed. It's not just for for legs to

1147. grow and gold dust to be sprinkled and and and goosebumps

1148. to pop in for us to just just just simmer in your presence and

1149. say, oh, that was a good night. The Lord was here.

1150. No revival is for transformation, starting with

1151. your house and then it bleeds into the church, into the

1152. streets and culture is impacted by a transformed bride.

1153. Change us Jesus wind blow. No, don't just heal us.

1154. That's just about us. Change us.

1155. Because what I do know is I could still be dealing with an

1156. ailment and and be changed at the same time, but I am not

1157. waiting for healing. In order to be transformed.

1158. The truth sets me free. The sun makes me free indeed.

1159. So while I'm waiting. May I look more like you while

1160. I'm waiting for blank. May I draw nearer to you?

1161. May I cast my cares upon you. May I delight in you first.

1162. May I seek? You first, may I love you first

1163. and. All these cares will be added.

1164. May we have ears to hear. Those that have ears to hear,

1165. let them hear. Those that have eyes to see, let

1166. them see. And I challenge you to keep

1167. eating the meat if you got to start at the milk.

1168. Keep drinking, keep growing, keep leaning in, keep pressing,

1169. keep hungering and thirsting. Keep desiring, keep delighting.

1170. Lord, give us eyes to see in this hour, please.

1171. Loose the grips of mammon over our lives.

1172. We cannot serve 2 masters within the busyness of our lives.

1173. May we not neglect our body? A.

1174. Lot of times. When we get busy, we don't eat

1175. well. We eat fast food, we don't got

1176. time to sit down and eat a hearty meal something of

1177. substance. May your church get back to the

1178. main thing, it's winning souls, making disciples that influence

1179. Vancouver and the rest of the world.

1180. Starting with knowing your love, getting rooted in your love and

1181. being equipped so we can do the work.

1182. But may the work never take place of our relationship.

1183. May we be a people quick to repent in Jesus name, Amen.

1184. Just lift your hands right where you are.

1185. I want you to just take the next 3 minutes and open your own

1186. mouth and begin to pray. I know there's a few people in

1187. here that allowed the Lord to really get into the soul of

1188. their hearts. If that's you, I ask you and I

1189. challenge you, you could stand, you can kneel, but I'm asking

1190. you in this hour to just respond because the enemy comes.

1191. The Bible says immediately to steal the Word, and you cannot

1192. afford to give the enemy any more ground.

1193. So if that's you in this room and you know for a fact that the

1194. Holy Spirit has done something in your heart, respond by

1195. kneeling or lifting your hands or standing.

1196. But we need you to respond to the Word of the Lord.

1197. Take a few moments. The.

  1198. The. The.

1199. Holy Spirit, we need the fear of the Lord like never before.

1200. Just lift your hands. Holy Spirit, bring us the fear

1201. of the Lord. But I pray we never lose our
