  1. Glad to see you all gathered here ten am service.

  2. Welcome to all of you who are watching online. We're

  3. glad that you could gather with us this way. I

  4. would take online service as an invitation to join us

  5. at a campus sometime, but we're glad that you're here.

  6. If I haven't met you yet, my name's Christian Lindbeck,

  7. one of the grateful pastors on staff here at Venture. Welcome,

  8. glad to see you hey, Part two of Kingdom Builders.

  9. The crowd roared with excitement. I hope you were here

  10. last week to hear part one of Kingdom Builders. If

  11. you were not, I hardly ever do this. I really

  12. want to urge you, maybe plead with you that you

  13. go back and catch part one of Kingdom Builders.

  14. There's tons of places you can find it.

  15. You can find it on our website, you can find

  16. it on our YouTube channel.

  17. I invite you to check out.

  18. It's on the app, we sent it out in the

  19. Weekly E News. There's lots of places for you to

  20. find this message. And I'm just asking you personally please

  21. if you call Venture home, please go check it out.

  22. And the reason is this, we desire for Kingdom Builders.

  23. And if you hear the first time, stick with me

  24. for a second. We desire for Kingdom Builders to be

  25. Kingdom Builders, to be a central part of who Venture is.

  26. We want it to be part of our common language

  27. and our common desire, and our common mission and our

  28. common schedule that it becomes a part of the heart

  29. and the behavior of Venture Church altogether. And of course,

  30. last week is it going to be your only opportunity

  31. to hear that.

  32. We're going to talk about.

  33. The heart and the why of Kingdom Builders for weeks, months,

  34. and years to come, but I'll rarely take thirty minutes

  35. to really underline why we're doing. It's a foundational message,

  36. so check it out and then we'll all be on

  37. this same page together. But if you weren't here, if

  38. this is your first weekend, like it's my first week,

  39. I'm not gonna go catch up.

  40. Cool cool, cool cool cool.

  41. I'll do my best to catch you up right now.

  42. But if this is your home, go do it. I'm

  43. gonna simplify again. You may remember last week I tried

  44. to begin by simplifying it.

  45. Actually, when I read this sentence.

  46. I'm like, that's the most complicated, simple sentence you've ever written.

  47. Christian. Here's what kingdom builder is. Reminder, kingdom builders.

  48. This thing that we're talking about, and I want to

  49. think of it like a program. But this culture adventure

  50. being the kind of people who participate with Jesus to

  51. build kingdom. Kingdom builders is our combined effort. Now, you

  52. may do solo things in your life. I hope you

  53. do to be about building God's kingdom, but we're talking

  54. about here. Adventure is our combined effort. And that's time, resources, effort, energy,

  55. talents right, our combined effort to participate. If I can

  56. underline another word there, it would be participate. If you

  57. are a note taker, write down participate. If you're wondering

  58. what Jesus wants you to do, it's participate. Come be

  59. hand in hand with Jesus by the Holy Spirit. Come

  60. participate in the mission that Jesus gave. How many Christians,

  61. every Christian. Maybe you're wondering is this for me? The

  62. answer is yes. It is that Jesus gave every Christian

  63. to do what to work together in a community of faith.

  64. See how important it is to be gathered in a

  65. community of faith. This is why church cannot just be

  66. solely an online thing.

  67. That you do.

  68. It's not about just receiving content from somebody. It's about

  69. a community of faith participating.

  70. Together with Jesus, a community of faith.

  71. To do what to builds God's kingdom until Jesus returns,

  72. judges and restores everything.

  73. It gives every.

  74. Individual life, every kingdom life, and every kingdom out there,

  75. every church everywhere, a living, breathing mission to be a

  76. part of. Like, I know so many people in this room,

  77. and I think you could define your life by so

  78. many other things. I see accomplished business people and teachers

  79. and homemakers and firefighters, and you can't.

  80. That is a part of who you are.

  81. But none of them can bear the weight of being

  82. the foundational mission of life, like participating with Jesus.

  83. And building his kingdom can.

  84. It can withstand the change of every profession, Your resources

  85. can go up and code down.

  86. Your fortunes can be great or can be louthy all

  87. the time.

  88. Your life can be underscored by participating with Jesus in

  89. a community of faith to build Jesus' kingdom.

  90. They thank you.

  91. I'm like, we may not be like Pentecostal Pentecostal church,

  92. but that's a spot for an amen, Amen, how do

  93. we do that?

  94. Christians?

  95. So we did why last week? And I hope you

  96. left last week if you were here, going hey, I want.

  97. To do that.

  98. That like I want me to be that kind of person,

  99. and I want us to be that kind of church.

  100. And I promise I talk about well, how then do

  101. we do it? Now?

  102. I'm going to grant as soon as we switch to how.

  103. This is going to be heavy on practics. So if

  104. it's your first time welcome, you're going to get under

  105. the hood a little bit.

  106. Otherwise it's gonna be like, man.

  107. This is pretty practice. Yes, it is. We organize our convictions.

  108. Write that down. A conviction without an organized way to

  109. carry it out is just a hope. We organize our convictions.

  110. We have to talk about how it is we do this.

  111. So let's begin.

  112. I want to talk about the three big objectives of

  113. Kingdom Builders. Three objectives. There's tons of things we could do.

  114. These are the things that we are going to do.

  115. Three objectives. Expand the global mission, make a local impact,

  116. develop future leaders.

  117. Now, let me just that out very quickly.

  118. Expand the global mission, as we will work tirelessly with

  119. joy and intentionality and gratitude, and hope and tell every

  120. person on the face of the earth has the chance

  121. to hear the good news about Jesus and have their

  122. life transformed by it. This is like the heart of

  123. our mission. It's the heart of Kingdom Builders. Really, the

  124. biggest person of Kingdom Builders is expand the global mission

  125. of Jesus. Partner with these organizations and individuals around the

  126. world because we desire that every human being has this

  127. opportunity to meet Jesus.

  128. But certainly we also.

  129. Want to make a local impact, like we want to

  130. actually see our neighbors, care about our community, identify in

  131. justice where we see it.

  132. We want to serve the vulnerable and.

  133. Alleviate suffering here like have you ever noticed some people

  134. will get on a plane and go be bold for

  135. Jesus in another country, but won't live their faith right here.

  136. So here is where we start. Starts in your home,

  137. and it starts in our community. And there are people

  138. neighbors around us right now that would be well served

  139. by Christians who are participating with Jesus. To be Kingdom Builders.

  140. We serve this community as we serve the world, and

  141. finally we develop future leaders. One of the things that

  142. I love about venture is the kind of demographics from

  143. old to young. We have a lot of young people

  144. in this building on fire for Jesus. And I like

  145. when I think about reasons to get up, be excited,

  146. come to work, what I love.

  147. Is young people excited about Jesus.

  148. I want you to know, in case you thought you

  149. feel despondent about culture or the state of the church,

  150. young people are excited about Jesus and they want to serve,

  151. and they want to go, and they want to be called,

  152. and they want to.

  153. Do something authentic for Jesus.

  154. And we're going to be all about supporting that growth.

  155. So we're going to have a great internship, and we're

  156. going to have great kids ministry and great youth ministry.

  157. We are going to intentionally disciple and raise the next

  158. generation of Christian leaders so that the church does not

  159. die with us. Have you ever heard the mission of

  160. Christ is about one generation from gen neration from going away.

  161. I turned to that word into generation. It's okay, you

  162. can laugh at it, Jim, I love you, But like,

  163. do they ever hear that?

  164. Like faith doesn't have we don't have grandchildren in that way,

  165. like we each adopt our faith. So these three guiding

  166. objectives will orient kingdom builders what is it we do.

  167. It'll focus our prayers, help us make decisions, guide our investments,

  168. where do we put our resources, and shape the ways

  169. that we all serve together.

  170. It's a it's a bold plan.

  171. If I if I could just stop right now, like

  172. if you tune out for me and you just remember

  173. those things, what is it and what are those three

  174. global objectives? Then that would be enough for today. And

  175. I hope that the rest is still worth while. But

  176. I do think it's a good.

  177. Time to pause, slow down and pray. So would you

  178. join me in a prayer?

  179. Father, I slow down, and I just quiet the noise

  180. of making plans. I quiet the noise the busyness of

  181. a gathering, or the noise of kind of ego where

  182. my own little empire building is.

  183. Slow it down.

  184. I just say, Lord, you see that these are bold plans,

  185. and they're.

  186. Really courageous declarations.

  187. It's just a good time to admit we are just

  188. humans and we are prone to building stuff for our

  189. own namesake and purposes. So we stop and submit our

  190. plans to you in humility. Scripture reminds us that unless

  191. you build a house, we will labor in vain. King Solomon,

  192. who is full of wisdom and accomplished so much, prudently wrote,

  193. submit all your plans to God, for only he.

  194. Can make them succeed.

  195. And so we take this strategy kind of out of

  196. make it happen mode, and we give it to you,

  197. First Lord, and we reject church empire building and communal

  198. fame and the hoarding of resources. We choose instead to

  199. go with you, unworried but urgent, hand in hand by

  200. the Holy Spirit, participating with you in intelligence, care and

  201. courage until you return or until you are famous everywhere

  202. in your good name.

  203. Amen, friends, How will we build this?

  204. How do we organize this work together to make sure

  205. we are making a good effort? Like I said, I

  206. shared the three bold objectives Global Mission, local impact in

  207. future Leaders, and I want to talk about a little

  208. more brass tacks of how we achieve them. I'm going

  209. to give you three frameworks that we're going to talk

  210. about this morning. So if your note taker actually writing

  211. these three frameworks down is helpful. The first is head

  212. heart hand or heart head hand, whichever direction you want

  213. to do. Introduce updates, Celebrate and February through December now,

  214. I know when you read those three categories you think compelling.

  215. I hope I could make them interesting, but they are

  216. necessary for understanding how we are going to do this

  217. work together. And let's start with heart head hand or

  218. head hearthand whichever direction you want to put them in.

  219. This heart head hand is a framework I first learned

  220. at Northwest University.

  221. I learned when I was.

  222. Working there under the administration of doctor Don Argue, who's

  223. sitting right back there and he now attends.

  224. Here and serves on his board.

  225. But carry the call with heart head hand was the

  226. mission that we had at that time, and it became

  227. such a simple way for us to remember what it

  228. takes to faithfully carry this out. You see, to actually

  229. have a living, vital, functional Christian faith that's growing, it

  230. must be all through. It has to permeate our thinking.

  231. It has to soften our heart, it has to embolden

  232. our resolve so.

  233. That we will do something with it.

  234. And if one of those is missing, it will actually

  235. be deficient.

  236. A young man came and asked me after the service.

  237. He's like, you are you saying to me, like for

  238. my faith to go, I really have to actually go

  239. do something with it, And I'm like, that's precisely what

  240. I am saying. That is exactly what I am saying. Like,

  241. if one of those misses, then you're missing something. You

  242. ever seen somebody who knows that they ought to do something,

  243. but does it begrudgingly? Have you ever been with somebody

  244. who's feeding the poor because they know they should, but

  245. actually despise the people that they are feeding.

  246. It's because their heart isn't there.

  247. Have you ever known somebody who knows something to do,

  248. cares about something to do, but fails to do it.

  249. That's a special kind of torture, you see.

  250. The first thing that has to do is that it

  251. has to permeate the way we think about it.

  252. It has to mean our head is in the game.

  253. So I got talk about today's gonna be heavy on practice.

  254. That's not boring because we organize what we desire to

  255. cultivate or grow. Bob, I keep looking at you because

  256. I think about like Bob grows things. If Bob wants

  257. to grow acres and acres of corn, Bob can know

  258. how to plant corn, desire to plant corn.

  259. But unless he goes out and plants corn, nothing will happen.

  260. Have you ever prayed in a harvest of corn without

  261. planting seed hasn't happened.

  262. We have to know what we're doing. That means we

  263. know why we do Kingdom builders.

  264. We're familiar with the scripture, we understand the omission, we

  265. know the objectives, the schedule, our partners and opportunities. It

  266. has to live here in our head so that we

  267. can organize what we're doing. But we know that's not

  268. another right. So what is in our head? Have to

  269. make that perilous journey to our heart? You ever heard

  270. that described as the longest like twelve to eighteen inches

  271. in the world. Because you have to actually care about this.

  272. The desire of Jesus, i said last week, isn't to

  273. raise idea followers. You just know Jesus' ideas. He is

  274. our rabbi, our great one, the one we follow. We

  275. have to care about what he cares about. Jesus is

  276. trying to like shape our heart what we know and

  277. what we love, and we will do what we love.

  278. We Americans think we will do what we know. False.

  279. You will try to do what you know, and what

  280. will draw you back every time is what you love.

  281. It will start a great conflict in you between what

  282. you know and what you love.

  283. I'm a brilliant author. One of my favorite a guy

  284. named doctor James K. Smith.

  285. Sometimes you heard Jamie Smith wrote a book called You

  286. Are What You Love, And I'm gonna simplify it for

  287. you and tell you change what you love. You will

  288. not do what it is you want to do. The

  289. liturgy you have to form is less about the liturgy

  290. of the mind and more about the liturgy of the heart.

  291. Jesus is trying to shape our.

  292. Heart to love what he loves, so that when you

  293. go care for the vulnerable, or you fight in justice,

  294. or you take the name of Jesus, it's not only

  295. because you know you ought to.

  296. It's because you can't wait to do it. Your heart

  297. is in it. You love doing it, and I'm going

  298. to talk about it in a minute.

  299. To love to do it, you actually have to try

  300. doing it. So Kingdom Builders is a great opportunity to

  301. shape what we love. Kingdom Builders is a chance and

  302. opportunity to shape what we love.

  303. Why do this? Why give? Why go? Why get involved?

  304. This just feels like another opplication at what's the word

  305. I'm looking for, obligation? It just feels like another obligation,

  306. when in fact, what it is is a chance you

  307. shape what you love through habit, and you can shape

  308. the things that you love if you will apply yourself

  309. to it.

  310. Kingdom Builders is a chance to shape what we love.

  311. So you got your head and your heart and then

  312. finally your hand. Now look, I just said this, but

  313. you know that head knowledge and heart desire without hand application.

  314. Is a real bummer. In fact, it might be the most.

  315. Chrtious thing to know what you need to do and

  316. care about what you need to do and fail to

  317. do it.

  318. I have a son who I will not name and

  319. who will never.

  320. See this, and so it's okay, but please don't tell

  321. him if you know him. But he has said to

  322. me several times, Dad, I know what I want out

  323. of life, and I know it and I actually want it.

  324. I just lack the discipline to do it. Bruh, you better.

  325. You better write that one down too.

  326. You have to love it to ever have the experience

  327. of loving it.

  328. Guess what you have to do do it.

  329. I think the easiest analog for me to say is

  330. let's say you know, you know you should go to

  331. the gym and eat healthy, and you really want to

  332. do like a man. I prayed about it. I really

  333. want to, like go to the gym, and I want this.

  334. But you don't go to the gym and eat healthy.

  335. It's worse, but better to have ignorance over what you want.

  336. It's worse if you will not do it.

  337. It takes this.

  338. Like we were just reading Acts chapter four and the

  339. Shared Bible reading for the Church today, and in that story,

  340. Peter and James begin to do the things that Jesus

  341. has done, and man.

  342. They get bold. They are fired up for Jesus.

  343. They will declare in a crowd, they'll stand against conflict.

  344. You know why I think they're doing that.

  345. They've started to taste the reward of doing what Jesus

  346. called them to and it is addictive. I see what

  347. it's like to know it, to love it, and to

  348. do it, and I want this more for my life.

  349. So you connect your head and your heart and your

  350. hand together.

  351. Hand together is how we do this work.

  352. It's kind of funny because I finished the Why message

  353. last week. I walked out in the lobby after the

  354. service and a friend of mine walked up to me

  355. and said, oh, Christian man, I'm excited for Why.

  356. Thank you and I'm interested to hear about the how.

  357. But if you tell me it's just about writing a

  358. check every two weeks.

  359. I'm going to be disappointed. And I was like, zing heard,

  360. it will be some of that. But if it is

  361. only that, that wouldn't be participation.

  362. Now I want to address that head on. How do

  363. we then, Christian? How do we apply our hands? And

  364. I know this is going to be another three and

  365. I hope you're note taking and whether or not you

  366. remember this precisely is unimportant to me.

  367. But this is classic. This won't be ear shattering. We

  368. do these three things.

  369. We get involved, we go where we give, or we

  370. get involved, and we go and we give. We it's

  371. kind of those seeing three things working together again. We

  372. get involved, we go to we give, we get involved.

  373. Kelsey Fairfield, if you haven't met her, that's Kelsey right there,

  374. and she's probably sitting over there somewhere back there.

  375. Kelsey help us with the global mission.

  376. Also, she coordinates all of our local impact ministry. She's

  377. put together an extraordinary calendar of opportunities. The next year

  378. is me loaded with opportunities for you to put your

  379. hand in the work.

  380. But this is one of.

  381. Those things that you got to have to actually show

  382. up and do. And again, really extraordinary opportunities coming up

  383. this week, but these are chances for us to go

  384. and apply our hand.

  385. And it means if we want to raise future leaders,

  386. we need.

  387. People who get involved with kids and youth and internship.

  388. Get involved. We rolled out a new section of the

  389. website this week about Kingdom Builders.

  390. It's big, so brace yourself.

  391. But I would invite you this week go check out

  392. Kingdom Builders. Just right at the top of the menu,

  393. and you're going to see all the ways and the

  394. objectives and individual partners and organizational partners. But every single

  395. page ends with this invitation get involved.

  396. How can I get involved? I'm gonna get involved in that.

  397. I love that.

  398. I'm gonna put my hand to it. So we get involved.

  399. We have to kind of practically be involved ourselves. The

  400. second is to go, and by that I mean like

  401. out of this building, out of the safe spaces of

  402. our small groups and homes, like go into our community.

  403. As a Christian you are a community leader, Go into

  404. our communities and go around the world carry this Kingdom

  405. building mission with us outside. Part of the big goal

  406. of Kingdom Builders is to massively multiply the number of

  407. short term mission and service opportunities that are available and

  408. the number of.

  409. Partners that we work with around the world. In the past, we've.

  410. Had a mission or maybe a mission trip, a short

  411. term missions trip every.

  412. Available every year or so or every other year.

  413. This year we will have four short term missions trips

  414. available you can check those on the website, with a

  415. goal to have seven to ten short term missions trips

  416. available every year. I want every person who can have

  417. an opportunity to go. So we will offer a smorgas

  418. board of times and dates and locations and opportunities and

  419. we'll just see what flies and what doesn't. But we

  420. will have driving our mission that we create opportunities for.

  421. Us to go.

  422. Right now, we have about twenty individual partners or missionaries

  423. that we partner with. But it's our goal through Kingdom Builders,

  424. that every single Northwest Ministry Network missionary that comes to

  425. Venture Church and says will you support me, without question

  426. or hesitation or answer will be yes. So we will

  427. see that roster of people grow as we are faithful

  428. to Kingdom Builders. This is about these opportunities to go.

  429. And last week I was meeting with Sue pent Sue

  430. helps coordinate our Mexico mississ trips.

  431. She's been doing them since twenty and eleven.

  432. This year they're going to Ensnata, Mexico to build another house.

  433. And I was talking to her about her excitement, and

  434. I was moved by her accounts of how the lives

  435. of people are changed.

  436. When they build a house.

  437. But I was also just delighted to see Sue light

  438. up like Sue, like her whole expression change as she

  439. talked about how short term missions had dramatically impacted her life,

  440. how it had like shifted. It was an inflection point

  441. where she reframed what life was all about. And she

  442. lit up because she knew that's the power of going,

  443. the power.

  444. Of doing it.

  445. And so I just got excited that Sue was excited

  446. and how excited she is to take you next time.

  447. So go on the website find out when Sue going again.

  448. Get signed up. You can go build a house and

  449. it's not a Mexico. The last one under there is Give.

  450. Now. I don't want to be shy about give either.

  451. Obviously, Give is going to be a portion of the

  452. work that we do together. We will combine our resources

  453. in a common Kingdom Builders Fund, and this common fund

  454. that we share together will multiply our impact to our partners,

  455. individual and organizational, and it will assure them We've got you.

  456. We never miss a payment, we are always here to

  457. support you. It simplifies everything. In fact, from here on out,

  458. there'll be two ways to kind of support the mission

  459. at Venture Church. One will be if the faithful tithes

  460. that keep this organization running, and the second will be

  461. Kingdom Builders.

  462. We'll give to Tithe.

  463. We'll give to Kingdom Builders, and with Kingdom Builders together

  464. we'll support all of those objectisatives that we have set.

  465. You don't have to give to Kingdom Builders, honestly, a

  466. kingdom generosity is the goal. But Kingdom Builders will endeavor

  467. to be one of the best investments you can find.

  468. We will deliberately and intelligently invest our common resources with

  469. partners that we know and have vetted and have relationship

  470. with and can measure their impact. Every single dollar will

  471. be carefully managed with sharp accountability to our board, to you,

  472. and to Jesus.

  473. So be a trustworthy place for us to work together.

  474. So we will apply head, heart and hand as we

  475. get involved, go and give the next two frameworks are

  476. really fast, trust me. The one I want you to

  477. know is introduce, update, and celebrate. And here's simply what

  478. I want to convey to you is that we will

  479. talk about this every month save January. Every month I

  480. will introduce you to a new partner or plan or

  481. initiative or hope.

  482. You will get to know who it is we partner with.

  483. Around the world and it will give you an update,

  484. how are they doing, how's Kingdom builders doing? And then

  485. we will celebrate everything that Jesus has done through our

  486. faithfulness together. One of the things I have found in

  487. church is often you get somebody will get up and

  488. get you riled up for someone We're gonna building something somewhere,

  489. and you're like, yay, you can help, yay, and then

  490. you never hear about it again.

  491. Like we're gonna do this together. It means we get

  492. to celebrate together.

  493. You get to know, and I pledge to you transparency

  494. and regular communication hold me accountable.

  495. You will know.

  496. Introduce every single month, update every single month, celebrate every

  497. single month, and that will run over and over through

  498. the last framework. I know this is the thriller you've

  499. been waiting for. February through December, your weight is over.

  500. I'll finally this topic. I know you've been waiting.

  501. Kingdom Builders will run on an annual cycle. Remember, we

  502. organize what we want to cultivate, right we want to grow.

  503. Kingdom Bills will run on an annual cycle from February

  504. to December. So starting in February, every single year, we'll

  505. introduce our annual plan, our partners, opportunities, mission trips, our

  506. budget for the year, and then we'll begin to roll

  507. it out this year with a reasonable stretch and all

  508. of the ways that we bring money through Kingdom mills.

  509. This year alone, we are planning you ready, one million

  510. dollars to expand the global mission, make a local impact

  511. and develop future leaders. One that's on top of what

  512. we do one million additional dollars. This is the power

  513. of our cooperative effort together. Throughout the year, we'll introduce updates, celebrate,

  514. We'll lead up to a Kingdom Builder's Banquet in October,

  515. and then two weeks before Thanksgiving. Every year we'll start

  516. kind of a generosity wave through the Miracle offering.

  517. It'll carry us through the end of the year.

  518. We'll close all our obligations that we made where our

  519. partners will take a breath in January and then we'll

  520. start all over again. So we'll just make this habitual

  521. rhythm as we grow together to love what Jesus loves

  522. and do what Jesus does, and every year growing partnerships,

  523. plans and places, building God's kingdom with intentionality until he's

  524. famous everywhere, or until he returns and judges.

  525. And restores everything. That's the simple plan.

  526. After his resurrection, Jesus was preparing to take his rightful

  527. place back on the throne of heaven, where he rules

  528. from right now, And he was inaugurating this great church

  529. age of participation that we live in, and he gave

  530. us a clear and guiding mission from which we draw

  531. ours Matthew twenty eight eighteen through twenty. Then Jesus came

  532. to them and said, all authority in heaven and on

  533. earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make

  534. disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of

  535. the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

  536. and teaching them to obey everything. I have come and you,

  537. and surely I will be with you always to the

  538. very end of the age. Can you see how this

  539. is essentially, make Jesus famous. Go everywhere and make him

  540. famous into every human heart, every culture, every place. Go

  541. make my name famous, baptize them into my name, disciple

  542. them into the kind of life that I have seen

  543. you discipled into. Go make Jesus famous, and ask you,

  544. like I did last week, Ventcher, when do we stop

  545. doing that? When we were like, well, that was good,

  546. I guess we can pause, engulf When do we stop

  547. working with patience, with urgency, but no fear, no anxiety.

  548. This doesn't sound like crazy paste thing. When do we

  549. stop with love and attention and faithfulness and stretch planting

  550. churches or supporting missions, or loving our neighbors, or taking

  551. great care of kids and raising them up to be

  552. the next generation of Christian leaders.

  553. When do we stop noticing.

  554. The vulnerable and feeding the hungry and.

  555. Clothing the endclothed.

  556. When do we stop moving into our neighborhoods and moving

  557. around the world to make Jesus famous.

  558. Friends. We don't ever stop until he returns or until

  559. he is famous everywhere.

  560. And I just suggest to you, as I did last week,

  561. if you take this as another obligation, it will be

  562. a bummer. But if you take it as a joy

  563. to underline every single human life and a reason for us.

  564. Why do we get together?

  565. I mean, I love being together every one hundred and

  566. sixty eight hours once a week so that we can

  567. worship Jesus. That's great, but that is not the end

  568. of what we're doing. We gather to prepare ourselves to

  569. worship and reorient so that we may participate and the

  570. missions is the greatest joy of life to participate in the.

  571. Mission of Jesus. John Wesley, a great Christian leader, wrote a.

  572. Kind of a prayer charge that I hinted at last week,

  573. but I've changed a little bit.

  574. I've just changed the pronouns to the common plural so

  575. that it.

  576. Can be for us. But I give you this charge.

  577. Hear it now, and I mean, listen to this.

  578. Let us do all the good we.

  579. Can by all the means we can, in all the

  580. ways we can, and all the places we can, and

  581. all the times we can, to all the people we can,

  582. as long as ever we can. May God give us

  583. strength to be kingdom builders faithfully all the days.

  584. Of our life.

  585. This week, I've given us three concrete steps that I

  586. want you to think about. The first is I'd love

  587. you to go read Matthew twenty eight eighteen through twenty

  588. the commission given by Jesus, and like last week, I

  589. want you to sit down and put on your imagination

  590. hat and ask, Holy Spirit, how am I participating in

  591. this mission?

  592. I just want to say, like.

  593. Pastor's heart to you, to go through life building your

  594. empire and not participating in this mission is a missed opportunity.

  595. To participate in this mission will make all the rest

  596. of the parts of your life fall into place. Lord,

  597. how do I participate in this mission too? I'd love

  598. for you to go check out the Kingdom Builder's website.

  599. Would you dig around see what says just get like

  600. a better sense. Also, find mistakes and send them to me.

  601. I am a fallible human being. Kelsey and I have

  602. certainly made mistakes. We'd love to know and get them fixed.

  603. So if you find a mistake, send it to us

  604. and we will promptly get it fixed.

  605. The third is always think about a concrete step.

  606. You get these huge ideas and that if you don't

  607. do something with them at hearthand they get lost, and

  608. it can be something tiny.

  609. This week, I will do that thing. I'll stop and

  610. think about it.

  611. This week I will spend some time digging around, try

  612. to understand what it looks like.

  613. Or this week I'm.

  614. Gonna, you know what, I Am going to become a

  615. regular recurring donor to Kingdom Builders. You go on the website,

  616. find that whatever it is, find a concrete way to

  617. start living this life.

  618. It's a great invitation. Again, I just want to say,

  619. it's not obligation.

  620. Only Jesus, who is good and has loved us, has

  621. obligated to life to conquer death and to invite us

  622. into a life worthwhile. And so I turned that into

  623. a prayer, King Jesus, maybe live with you, by you,

  624. through you, by your strength, participating in what you're doing,

  625. because that will be the best life we could ever lead.

  626. I thank you, I bless Venture Church, ask for your

  627. help in this good work in Jesus' name.

  628. Amen,
