It Takes a Village | Pastor Brandon Beals | Venture Church

I want to welcome you to Venture Church. If you

don't know who I am, I'm Brandon. I am the

lead pastor of the church. I'm glad you're here. If

you're new, let's say in the last four or five weeks,

I love the opportunity to meet you. I'll be hanging

out in the lobby after the service. Please come up,

introduce yourself to me. Met a great group of new

people in the first service. It's always a blessing to

see all the new people that are here. But thank

you for joining us. Today is our fall Vision Sunday.

This is where we unite our hearts, focus our hearts

on what we are believing Jesus for.

For the fall.

As you're getting ready for school, we as a staff

are getting ready for fall. And it's kind of mayhem

as you see all the construction that's going on, which

we'll talk about in a moment. But want you to

grab your Bible's turn to First Chronicles, chapter twenty eight.

Some of you are like, I don't think I've ever

turned to First Chronicles before. It's towards the beginning of

your Bible. If you don't know, there's this thing called

the Table of contents, it'll tell you the page number,

so look for that. But last week I talked to

you about our core values, and we're beginning this journey

through our core values for a few weeks, and I

introduced to.

You the value of community.

And you'll notice when you walk into our lobby that

there are these three pillars that hold up the roof,

and on those three pillars are listed our three core values.

And I don't think it's an accident that on.

The pillars that hold up our roof are the things

that are our non negotiables. And last week, as we

talked about the value of community, I shared with you

the three types of people that God brings into our life.

And the first one is that God will bring people

into your life for a reason. Now this is usually

for a shorter duration, but these are people that God

brings into your life. Maybe it's for you to help

them through something, they're helping you through something. It's for

a brief season of your life. It's very important, there's

a need that needs to be met, something that unite

or you unite around. But then afterwards you both kind

of move on and go your different ways.

And it's for a reason.

But then I also said, God will also bring people

into your life for a season, and this is a

longer duration. These are people that you live life with.

They bring joy to your life, you bring joy to

their life. You do things together, you walk through periods

of life together. And then what ends up happening is

maybe it was around you had kids, but your kids graduate,

go off to college, and you kind of find yourself

going separate directions. Maybe somebody moves out of state or

moves out of the area and it was a really important.

Relationship for a season. And then finally.

God will bring people into your life that ends up

being for a lifetime. And these are people that you

live life with. These are people that you experience the

highs and lows of relationship and life together. These are

people that you're in to this life with for the

long haul. As I was writing this message two weeks ago,

and I was thinking about the different people that have

played key roles in different periods in my life, I

could think about all the people that was for a reason,

and I can think about the many people that were

for a season, and it caused me to step back

and very much appreciate the people that God has brought

into my life for a lifetime. And if you'd have

told me twenty thirty years ago who those people would

have been, I wouldn't have been able to pick it.

But it is amazing through time as that just happens.

And God knows and He's got a plan for you.

And regardless of the duration, you need people in your life.

And the focus of our church this fall is building community.

We want you to build community at this church. And

at the same time, we want to finish building God's House.

Like our building church building hasn't been absolute chaos for

five months. This fall, we want to see all of

this be completed. When I talked last week about building community,

I challenged you that adventure you have to work at

not building community here. You have to completely make zero

effort to not build community here because you are surrounded

by people that want to.

Be connected to you.

You are surrounded by people that want to build community.

So I shared with you three tips on how you

build community. Number One, sign up for a growth group.

You got to be a part of growth groups. You

just have to. Oftentimes people will say, well, pebe, I

tried a growth group and it didn't work out. We'll

try another one. Well, then I tried another one and

it didn't work out. Keep trying. Eventually one sticks. I'm

telling you, I have led dozens of growth groups over

the years, and I am so surprised at the ones

that hit big versus the ones that flop. And sometimes

they happen. Whatever happens, kick the dust off your feet,

move on to the next one, but join a growth group.

Number two tip I gave is you need to serve

like people that serve on the youth staff together. Build

like a sorority fraternity of friends. People that serve in

kids ministry unite around that ministry together. If you serve

as a growth group leader, you unite around that. If

you serve on security as a greeter an usher, but

serve and you'll find yourself finding friends. And then, finally,

the suggestion I gave is come ten minutes early and

stay ten minutes late at services.

Hang out in the lobby. Be that person look.

Around for someone else, looking around for people just like you,

and go up and talk to them. You'd say, pep,

I'm I'm an introvert man. I hate the lobby. It's

so stressful. It creates anxiety. Look for that other person.

They're there, Look for the person hiding in the corner,

corner wishing the crowd would dissipate and go over and

sit by them. After like five weeks of doing that,

step out and introduce yourself to them. I'm the creepy

guy been sitting next to you for five weeks. Invite

them to coffee. Things happen. We want to build community.

We want you to build community. I want to highlight

two areas of our church this morning that really covers

most of our church and is specifically designed for you

to be discipled and to build community. First, I'm gonna

vite up all of our next Gen team. I'm gonna

hand it off to Pastor Morgant.

Hey, guys, I am blessed to have the opportunit to

lead our next Gen department here at Venture. And that's

fun for me because I spent time doing a lot

of next Gen for a long time. But I I

just want to say this, I've been here for seventeen years.

This is the best group of leaders I think we've

ever had oversee next Gen at our church. I'm excited

to introduce for them, to introduce themselves and let you

know about something they're excited about for their area of ministry.

Well, good morning venture. I am the kid's pastor here.

I am super excited. And oh, Jonathan Alliman, thank you,

thank you.

I forgot.

I love kids.

And you know a lot of people think, oh, they're

dropping them off and they're playing, and then they pick

up and they're playing. It is not daycare. We are

actually doing ministry back there. We're teaching them tithes and offering.

We're teaching them how to navigate through their Bible. We're

teaching them good solid things that will help them out

when they grow big. But you know what, we need

your help. It takes a disciple, or it takes a

village to raise a church, but it's a child. But

it takes a church to raise a disciples.

Excuse me, let me say that again.

It takes a village to raise a child, but it

takes a church to raise a disciple. And so that's

what we are doing back there. We are raising disciples

for the Lord. They are the next youth pastors, they

are the next worship pastors, the next kids pastors.

And so thank you guys.

My name is Kaylaannie and I have the privilege of

serving our Jay High sixth through eighth grade students, and

I am just so excited because, as we know, we

call them junior hypers for a reason. They are very unique,

they are very quirky. It is a phase and stage

of life that I believe that when students give their

life to the Lord at that time you have them

for life, because that is such a fundamental time where

students learn that wait, Jesus is for me. I was

made on purpose for a purpose, and my identity when

rooted in Him, anything is possible. And so I am

so excited not just to be creating rooms here, but

spaces where students are gonna walk in their purpose and

identity for the rest of their lives.

I'm the youth pastor to oversee our internship here and

so thank.

You appreciate it.

Really, the whole focus of what Venture Youth strives to

exist is to raise people to have a genuine, authentic

their own relationship with Jesus. That it's not who they're raising,

it's who they begin to know and develop, like this

is my faith, this is my own, and they wrestle

with it We are striving to raise up a generation

that can be hearers and doers of the world, to

be really embodiment of being a disciple, that they don't

have to make impact later on in life, but they

can do it right now in this season that gen

z jen Alpha, these are the next wave of the church,

and so to build up a new hunger that the

future is in good hands. Can I just tell you

the next generation, the future is bright for where we're

headed towards.

My name is con Takata and I get this great

on That was cool, all right? Yeah, yeah, I am

half Japanese in case you were wondering about the last name. Hey,

I get this awesome honor to get to pastor and

serve our young adults. And man, God is doing something

really significant. I don't know if you've noticed God's moving

amongst young adults today gen z jen Alfa. God is

doing something to stir up a curiosity for him in

their hearts. And so we get to do a ya

is really create a space, create a community for people

to be able to come in ask questions, get to

know who God is, get to know Jesus and the

life he's inviting them into. And my heart is that

we be forming disciples that would be on a relationship

with the Lord far beyond their time at ya, but

that we'd be shaping future marriages, we'd be shaping future

employees that are bringing glory to God in every area

of their life. So, man, we're really excited about what

God's doing ya. And if you have any questions about it,

come ask all right, that is our next gen team.

I'm gonna invite up Die and our adult Ministries team

and she'll introduce or that have them introduce themselves, and

they'll tell you all about how you can get connected

for all the.

Right, So I have the privilege of working with our

adult ministry team. We don't do things to fill your calendar.

We plan things so that you can grow in your

relationship with other people and in your relationship with God.

And I'll let you guys take it away.

Yeah, I'm i Land, and I am a part of

the Discipleship team, adventure growth groups and being a pastor

on board. I'm excited that as we grow we can

connect and have real lifelong discipleship with friends and so

we want you to get connected with groups and that'll

happen this fall. Today we're launching leadership, so we would

love to connect with you. I have my growth group

right here in front. I love my girls, and it's

something there's something about do in life with friends. We're

not meant to do life alone, so we want you

to be a part of growth groups.

My name's Josh and I just joined the team as

a discipleship pastor here at a venture My day job

is that I get to serve at Northwest University, where

I oversee our ministry training program, So it's kind of

fitting that I'm overseeing our Venture You program here, which

is our but Wednesday night's adult classes. One of the

things that I believe as an educator and as a

pastor is that our faiths is not meant to stay

in one place, but it's meant to move forward.

It's meant to grow.

Like someone once said a thousand years ago, that ours

should be a faith seeking understanding and being a part

of Venture You on Wednesday nights coming out and doing

classes on the Bible, on the Holy Spirit, on what

it means to be people who are living our everyday

work lives and integrating our faith with that. These are

just some of the things that we'll be discussing this fall.

So I hope that you can take a look. Could

our Venture You classes available now on the app. We'd

love to see you on Wednesday nights, and I'm looking

forward to what we can be doing moving forward. Hi.

I am Heather Lane. I lead our women's ministry. Thank you,

so my favorite part. I also have a discipleship group

that I lead, and we're about to graduate our first

group and start a couple more for next year. But

every fourth week, fourth Thursday of the month, we have

our for Her Nights. Women just come and gather and

get to know each other. The last group we had,

I saw women all over exchanging phone numbers and even

a week later saw people out having coffee together because

they're connecting.

So that's what for Her Nights are for. Hi, everybody,

I'm Jean.

I know what you're thinking. I live in a land

of giants. Yeah, I do, Thank you, Thank you my friends.

I'm the family life faster here.

I do a few things.

I'm co vocational, so I work outside the church. I

sell insurance so I sell fire insurance, and in the

church I sell fire insurance.

Get it, get it?

A couple of things.

I'll just highlight about some things that I do. I

help with big events. So like we had our church picnic,

We've got a marriage conference coming up in February that

we're super excited about. I really do have a heart

for marriages, and we have a great team of people

that are marriage mentors. We need that this day and age,

we need help with our marriages. So I'm super thankful

to be part of that. And then one more thing

that I'm thankful to be a part of is our

prayer ministry. Has God ever answered prayer in your life before?

Yeah?

Prayers, Amen, Prayers super important in each of our services.

In the fall, we're kicking back up our prayer team,

which happens during during worship. If you would like to

be a part of that, we need your help. And

outside of that, we also want to train up prayer

warriors who learn to intercede in prayer, to contend for things,

to tend for our church, to contend for our pastors.

And so one thing I'm just going to share that

I'm most excited about is starting in the fall. Starting

in September. We're going to have a person every day

of the year praying and fasting over this church, and I.

I want to let you know about how you can

be connected here at Venturemen's Ministry. We've got some amazing

opportunities for you to build relationships. And I know that

front door opportunity to get to know other guys is hard,

so we've created space for you. We're going to have

quarterly events called Guys Nights. The first one's coming up

September twenty sixth, Market on your calendar. It's going to

be an incredible night, just geared for us to hang out,

do life together, worship together. That'll be right here. And secondly,

I'm really excited about our second annual Fall Retreat Men's

Retreat October ninth, tenth, and eleventh. One of the things

that Heather and I have really tried to partner together

to accomplish is how many of you know it's immediately

easier to go attend something when your spouse is the

one who's asking if you're going to go to that thing?

Eh yeah, yeah, me too. So husbands invite your wives

to go attend those for her nights. Ladies, invite your

husbands to go attend these things. It's going to make

your marriage better. It's going to make your family better,

it's going to make your marriage better. I encourage you

to do that. I think I just said that twice,

but it's just meant to repeat. Thank you so much.

Just a quick highlight of the caliber of staff that

we have here, and these staff are here to help

you grow in your faith.

And build community.

For the last five months, our building has been in

absolute disarray and we find I only have an opportunity,

so that'll be after the service to show you all

of the exciting expansion that we've done in the building.

But bottom line, we want you to know we've done

this for the purpose of.

Living out our value of community.

Each space, each area is meant to build community for

a different group of people. All that to say, this fall,

we really need to finish the building, and that is

our biggest goal this fall. It's to finish the building. First.

Chronicles, chapter twenty eight.

Verse six. This is the Lord speaking to David. Now

understand Israel, to this point, they had experienced the exodus

from Egypt under Moses leadership. Moses passed away, passed on

leadership to Joshua. After Joshua was the period of the Judges.

Then after the time of the Judges, Israel started having

a king a leader. First they had Saul and now

they're under David. So when you think of this time wise,

it was four hundred and eighty years from the time

of the exodus to this moment that we're about to

talk about now, four hundred and eighty years. The entire time,

the people of Israel wanted a land that was their own.

They wanted a church building or a temple to build.

But for four hundred and eighty years.

They were portable, like literally, they didn't have a home,

but they wanted one the entire time. Now, venture by

the time we finished this building, it will have been

a twenty one year journey to have a completely built

out central campus facility. When we started this process over

twenty years ago. I didn't know it was going to

take twenty one years for this to happen. I didn't

know we would have eight different locations. I didn't know

we would be fully portable on three different occasions. You

know what they say today church planning is all the rage,

but we are warned that if you were a portable church,

you have about a two year time frame to get

out of a portable setting before people lose interest. They

feel like this church isn't going to survive and they

move on. Imagine four hundred and eighty years of hoping

you'd have a home, hoping you'd have a temple, but

being portable. Now, what they would do is they would

travel to an area and wherever they decided to stop

and camp, they would build a tabernacle. And that was

basically where they would have their temple, their church building.

It was a tent like structure. It was in essence,

a portable sanctuary. Wherever they went and camped. For four

hundred and eighty years, they would set up this tabernacle.

And from the beginning, the hope was we'd become a nation,

we'd have our own land, we'd establish a temple from

Moses to Joshua, the time of the judges to Saul,

and now to David. Four hundred and eighty years of

being portable, and finally the time has come for them

to build the temple. David is in the last leg

of his lifetime. He is in that point where he

is thinking about his succession, plan who's next, And then

God speaks to him verse six. Is everybody with me?

Are you still in your wo mode? You're all wooing

the whole staff. Well, okay, good, this is the wu service.

God said to me, Solomon, your son is the one

who build my house and my courts. For I've chosen

him to be my son, and I'll be his father.

I will establish his kingdom forever it is he if

he is unswerving and carrying out my commands and laws,

as is being done at this time. So I charge you, David,

in the sight of all of Israel, and in the

assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of God,

be careful to follow all the commands of your God,

that you may possess this good land and pass it

on as an inheritance to your descendants forever. After all

these years, finally the Israelites get a bill from the

moment David became king. He had plans, he had dreams.

He thought this was gonna happen in his lifetime. But

now God is telling him, David, You're gonna build, but

it's not gonna be for you. It's gonna be for

your kids and for your grandkids. I always go back

to when I was in Modesto meeting with a small

group of people and we are praying about venture.

We had a dream that someday we would.

Have this, and I had a vision of my kids

playing in the kids area, my kids being teenagers, being

able to see incredible moves of God in the youth ministry.

And now it's not for my kids. So I feel

a little bit like David that I had all these

dreams that this would happen for my immediate family, and

in reality, it's more for our legacy and for our future.

So this will be a kid's area that my grandkids

will play in, It will be a youth area that

my grandkids will meet Jesus in my great grandkids. This

is become what is most of our legacy. This is

us building for the future. David had to accept that Ultimately,

he was leaving his legacy and building for his nation's future.

The most amazing thing about David is that he did

it with joy and excitement, but it came with incredibly

great personal sacrifice and financial cost. You see, for them

to be able to build that temple, it took the

cooperative generosity of everyone to complete and build that church

and that temple. Go on to First Chronicles twenty nine,

King David said to the whole assembly, my son Solomon,

the one whom God has chosen, is young and inex experienced.

The task is great because this palatial structure is not

for man, but for the Lord. You see church. The

work is great, but in the end it's going to

be for God. This will be a visible testimony about

the power and blessing of God. This will be a

place where his name will be praised for decades to come.

This will be a place where lives will be changed

for decades. This will be a place that for generations,

Jesus will cross someone's path and their life will be changed.

Five years ago, when we were having this first phase

of this building built, I knew that this was going

to be the only church building built from dirt ever

built in the city limits of Mill Creek.

Interesting.

I met with a bunch of the city officials this

week and they shared all their future plans. But bottom line,

there's no available land. We are it the only one.

And I remember telling you five years ago, I said

you were going to drive down thirty fifth people ten, twenty, thirty,

forty years from now, and they are going to see

this church building packed with cars full of life, and

they are going to ask how in the world did

that church building get built in that location? And for

those of us that are still around, we will get

the opportunity to tell the stories of sacrifice, God's blessing

and how it happened, and then as a result, all

the lives that have been changed because of it. To

pull this off, it is gonna take everyone, some of us.

What we have thought is we've thought, well, I sacrificed

in the beginning.

I've done my part.

This is gonna take everyone to finish God's House. To

finish this building, we need to raise by the end

of this year a final nine hundred thousand dollars, which,

by the way, and the greater schemes of fundraisers we've

had to do over the years is not a ton,

But we have to do that to finish God's house,

and we are gonna do it the same way that

the Israelites did it, within our version and our scale.

So how did the Israelites do it? It took everyone

in their kingdom to build that temple. First, the kingdom itself,

David's Palace. They gave, they cut, they skimped, They did

what they did to set the resources aside as much

as they could. Verse two of chapter twenty nine, it said,

with all my resources, I have provided for the temple

of my God, gold for the gold works, silver for

the silver, bronze for the bronze, iron for the iron,

wood for the wood, as well as onyx for the settings,

turquoise stones of various colors, and all kinds of fine stones, marble,

and all out of all of these large quantities. So basically,

they went throughout the entire kingdom, that went through their storehouses,

and they said, here are the resources we can provide

for the temple to be built. Back in January, we

as a team, the elders, the pastors, decided where can

we cut, what savings can we use, What can we

do to minimize the amount we have to raise at

the end of twenty twenty five. We sold a building

in Everett, took those resources for this. That is how

we were able to narrow down the amount we have

to raise at the end to nine hundred thousand dollars

and that's basically to finish to outfit the building. So

that is number one. The kingdom gave. Number two David

himself gave. He says, besides, in my devotion to the

temple of my God, I now give of my personal

treasures of gold of silver for the temple of my God.

And over and above everything I have provided for this

holy temple, he says, over and above everything I've done

throughout the years, all the sacks that I've made in

the years that I've led, I am choosing to give of.

My wealth now.

He said, I gave three thousand talents of gold, seven

thousand talents of refined silver. I want to help you

understand this in modern times, because you don't know what

a talent of gold is. The amount of gold that

David gave was the equivalent of one hundred and ten

tons of gold.

Just imagine that.

So I'm going to even simplify it even more because

we can't imagine a ton. You know that a ton

is two thousand pounds, some of you did. But I'm

holding in my hand a kettlebell. This is a Joe

Rogan kettlebell. This weighs fifty five pounds. So David gave

in gold alone the equivalent of six thousand, nine hundred

Joe Rogan kettlebells. Let me modernize it what it is

in money terms. We're all excited that Warren Buffett has

announced that he's giving away ninety percent of his wealth

when he passes. We're excited because we heard that Bill

Gates is going to do the same thing. He's giving

away ninety percent of his wealth to nonprofits when he passes.

Here is the equivalent of today's dollars in how much

money David gave away. David gave for the building of

the Temple in gold alone, eleven billion dollars. But he

didn't do it after he passed away, when he still

had the opportunity to spend it on himself and buy

toys for himself. He gave this money while he was alive,

eleven billion dollars worth of gold alone. David gab so

we knew Dian I that we would be called to sacrifice,

and we've been praying. We've been asking Jesus, what are

we going to personally sacrifice? Like you when we raised

money a year ago to start the project.

My challenge for you is.

Look at bonuses that God has given you, Look at

extra money you have, look at your look at your

bills and your income, and whatever extra you can afford give.

We didn't ask you to immensely sacrifice then, but now

we're asking you to sacrifice.

And so Dian and I are looking at what can

we do.

We want to be one of the larger givers, even

though we might not be one of the larger incomes

in our church. We want to be one of the

larger givers to this project. So we are praying and

asking what sacrifice God wants us to do. David gave

what he had. David led the way, just as Di

and I are going to give what we have, and

we're going to lead the way knowing that we're going

to build the best kids ministry that we've ever had before,

and my kids won't play in it. Knowing that for

the first time ever, Venture will have designated youth space

that my kids will never enjoy because they're too old.

Now hopefully my grandkids will. So not only did the

kingdom gave, not only did David give, but he challenged.

His leaders to give Verse six.

So they's been the leaders of the families, the officer

of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands, the

commanders of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the

King's work gave willingly. They gave toward the work of

the Temple of God. Five thousand talents and ten thousand

derecks of gold, ten thousand talents of silver, goes on

and on, all the things that all the leaders gave.

So look at it this way. These leaders are the

people that have been with David for a long time.

They made all of the sacrifices, they fought in all

of the battles, and now they are towards the end

of their life where they are thinking about legacy, they're

thinking about succession for their own lives and their own,

you know, businesses, And now once again they're being asked

to sacrifice again. And those of you that have been

along this ride with us for a long time. Over

the years, we've challenged you and we've asked you to

give generously and sacrificially, and you have. I've been blown

away over the twenty one years of this church by

the generosity of these people.

I tell the.

Stories of all the miracles that have led us to

this moment. And now I'm asking you once again for

those of you that got us to this point, we

help us finish this building. Here's what the leaders gave.

One hundred and the equivalent of one hundred and ninety

tons of gold, over seven thousand Joe Rogan kettlebells. If

you were to put it in modern dollars, this is

David's leaders gave over this is gold alone, twenty billion

dollars to build that first temple. And I am once

again looking at the people that sacrificed and got us

to this point. And you know who you are, and

I'm asking you to humbly pray, talk to your spouse

about what you'll give for this final push to finish

the building. And then finally the kingdom gave, the leader gave,

the leaders gave, and finally the people gave. Verse eight.

Anyone who had precious stones gave them to the treasury

of the Temple of the Lord It's important to see

this though. It says the people rejoiced at the willing

response of their leaders, for they had given freely and

wholeheartedly to the Lord. The people gave the whoever gave,

they gave willingly. They rejoiced because of it. They gave

with their whole heart. We need all of us to

make this happen, to finish God's house. This is our church,

This is our legacy. This is for our kids, This

is for our grandkids, this is for our future. This

is for our junior hires, our high schoolers, our young adults,

our young marrieds, our adults, our seniors, this is for them. Finally,

once David had done this big fundraising campaign verse fourteen,

David looked at everything that had happened. And I have

done this so many times, but I think this perspective

is super important. It says, but who am I and

who are my people that we should be able to

give as generously as this? What is David saying? He's

saying who am I that I would even have the

ability to give this. It's David acknowledging that everything came

from God, that all of his wealth, all of his toys,

all of his stuff. Isn't because he's all that, isn't

because he's smart, isn't because he just works hard, which

all of those things are definitely factors, But it is

David acknowledging everything I have came from God, everything I

have gave from you, that I am literally giving back

to you what you gave to me in the first place,

that I wouldn't have anything if it wasn't for you.

And then at the very end he says, and I've

given willingly and with honest intent. And then he says

that I looked at all the people, and now I've

seen with joy, how willingly your people have now given

to you. It's not a huge ask, but my goal

is that we raised nine hundred thousand dollars by the

end of this year, that we get a start twenty

twenty six with a fully completed building with no lingering

fundraising carrying into twenty twenty six. Now we could have

and I asked the board, like I shared kind of

what the plan was, and I told the board, do

we want to try to do this by the end

of the year or should we do it over a year? Now,

I always want to take the least challenging way, and

so I was like, I like the over a year,

but to a person on the board, they were like,

we need to do this by the end of the year.

It's the right decision because what it allows us to

do is to go into twenty twenty six without having

to tell the staff they have to lead and minister

with an arm tied behind their back. They will have

a completed building to build the youth Ministry, Kids Ministry,

Adult Ministry, Seniors Ministry, without having to be in a

time where we are saying, but don't spend any money

while we do it. We want to go into twenty

twenty six with this building complete. So what you're gonna

see every week is this thermometer, and we have thresholds,

three thresholds that as we hit one threshold we will

then green light the next project and so on. The

first major threshold is three hundred thousand dollars we have

to raise this. This is cost overruns for the building.

If you've ever done a major project, you know there's

always overruns. And that's actually fairly minimal percentage wise by

the overall cost of this project. But we need three

hundred thousand dollars Once we raise that three hundred thousand dollars,

then we green light Disney landing our kids area, and

that is gonna get us to five hundred thousand dollars.

So the cost of that is two hundred thousand. And

I'm telling you the kids area, it's gonna be so cool,

so fun. You will be so proud of it, and

your kids or your grandkids are gonna love it. Once

we hit that five hundred thousand, then we need to

raise three hundred thousand to finish the Junior High High

School area, which is up above there. When you do

a tour after the service, they'll show you where that

area is. But our youth team is so pumped about that,

and if we raise eight hundred thousand dollars, you should

have already asked this question. We're building a balcony that's

adding three hundred seats to the auditorium, yet we're taking

away three parking spots to do this expansion. We had

parking issues before, so what is our parking going to

be like when we add three hundred seats. Well, we

don't have a parking solution. We have a parking workaround

that we'll get to more when we get closer. But

that is once we hit the eight hundred thousand dollars threshold.

It green lights are parking solving workaround. We can do

this together. I want everybody to stand up on your feet.

In just a moment, Morgan's gonna come up. He's gonna

explain the tours. If you don't have a chance to

do a tour, we do want you to grab one

of these QR codes and this will kind of explain

how we're doing it. But you can give through these

QR codes. I have a heart for evangelism. I love

seeing you find Jesus. I also have a heart seeing

people that are lukewarm.

Get passionate in faith for Jesus.

You know what, I don't have a heart for fundraising.

This is my least favorite part of my job. I

realize that it is the nature of my job that

I don't have an option, that I have to do this.

So I want you to hear my heart when I

say this, that I say this in absolute humility, that

we are in this thing together, that I view this

as we are each other's chosen family. This is us

building a house for God in the middle of this community.

My favorite thing about this building. When you do this tour,

you will be taken to the highest point in the

city of mill Creek.

Did you know that this building, when we complete.

This expansion, we will have the highest point in the

entire city. We're already built up on top of the hill,

but we are at the highest point on this hill

in this city. It is not an accident that there

will never be a higher point in the city of

mill Creek than the top of venture church. When Jesus said,

you are the light of the world, a city on

a hill that cannot be hidden. So let your light

shine before men so that they may praise your Father

in heaven. This is our light on a hill that

we are going to complete together by your head's close

your eyes, Lord Jesus, speak to each person that's here. Lord,

I still ask that you would continue to speak to

die and I continue to challenge us.

But every single person that's here, Lord, may we.

All sacrifice to see your house built. And Lord, we

do this not for our glory, not to build names

for ourselves. We do this so this place is forever

a temple to your glory in this community. In Jesus' name.

Amen, Amen, Amen, Hey, before we dismiss you guys. You

caught a little bit of the vision. Now we want

you to see the vision. We're gonna invite you actually

to go ahead and take tours of the new parts

of the building. We want everyone to be able to

walk through, so I want to give you some brief

instruction before you walk out of here. We have two

separate tours, a front tour and a back tour, and

both are going to lead you through. We have tour

guides that are going to walk through small groups of people.

Our pastors are up there. They're going to share with

you how the space are going to be used. You're

also going to see these little cards all over the building,

and this is we've created a registry of all the

funds that we need to complete the project. So you're

going to see all the different things that are going

to be going into these spaces as we raise funds

to complete the project. So after service, immediately you can

go get in line. There's a start point in the

back and a start point in the front. Once you

finish one, go switch over to the other. And just

to sweeten it up on your way in between, we

have cake outside because it's Vision Sunday. Why wouldn't we

have cake?
