  1. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International

  2. Church Podcast, where we seek to love all nations, equip the

  3. church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.

  4. We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever

  5. you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get

  6. your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe

  7. some tea, and get ready to receive.

  8. Let's get into it. What a great New Year's Eve

  9. message we had. And now we're into this 21 days

  10. of fasting and prayer and we're creating.

  11. The name of our fast for January is make room.

  12. We're making room. I want to encourage you as

  13. you're in this time of prayer and fasting.

  14. When we talk about making room, maybe sometimes that's making

  15. room in my schedule. I'm making room, making room to

  16. hear from God, making room to pray and read the word.

  17. There's also making room in my heart, my affections before the

  18. Lord. I'm making room for God to move.

  19. Sometimes we're also making room in our mind, making room for our

  20. minds to be transformed and renewed by the Word of God.

  21. Make room in my thinking. Make room in the way I see

  22. things. Making room because the the

  23. world wants to clutter it with so many things.

  24. Today's word specifically is making room, removing the

  25. clutter from Hebrews 12 verse one.

  26. I want to encourage you to have a look at that.

  27. We're making room. We're making room.

  28. Want to thank Pastor Terence and Pastor Julia for the blessing

  29. that it is to be able to share the word today.

  30. Thank you so much for trusting me to be able to share the word

  31. from this platform. Thank you for your faithfulness

  32. and your love for God to pursue what He put in your heart.

  33. Today I'll be speaking about the Lord of hosts, the King of

  34. glory, the Lord of hosts, the King of glory, following from

  35. the Scripture from Psalm 24 that was used by Pastor Terence in

  36. news even though so last week. I just want to read from verse 9

  37. and 10. The scripture says lift up your

  38. heads. Oh you gates, yes, lift them up.

  39. You age abiding doors that the king of glory may come in.

  40. Who is he then, this king of glory, the Lord of hosts?

  41. He is the King of glory. Who is this king of glory?

  42. He is the Lord of hosts. So New Year's Eve, Pastor

  43. Terrance said this is the year of the host.

  44. The host is another word for the armies of heaven.

  45. This is the year of the host. The year with the Lord of hosts

  46. is moving on our behalf. This is a year God is on the

  47. move and we're going to continue with that subject, Pasteur and

  48. said. We host the tent where glory can

  49. rest. Who does it?

  50. We do, we do. We host.

  51. We're the ones who host the tent where the glory can rest.

  52. I want to read from 2 Corinthians chapter 3 verse 7.

    2 Corinthians 3:7

  53. This says, but if the ministry of death.

  54. Paul talks about the ministry of death as the law that was given

  55. by Moses under the Old Testament.

  56. But if the ministry of death written and engraved on stones

  57. was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not

  58. look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of

  59. his countenance, which glory was passing away?

  60. OK, can anyone read that? Say it again.

  61. Let's say it like a question. What's that?

  62. What? Good question.

  63. What's that? OK, let's go see what that's all

  64. about, because it's like, well, what's what's that story?

  65. Where where did that come from? Who's this Moses, what's going

  66. on? Well, we'll give you a brief

  67. summary. Moses was instructed to bring

  68. the children of Israel out of Egypt.

  69. And after he had brought them out of Egypt, he went to Mount

  70. Sinai. And when it was up there with

  71. the Lord, he was given instructions.

  72. And that's where the 10 commandments come from.

  73. Who's heard of the 10 commandments?

  74. OK. And so where he got the 10

  75. commandments was actually at the top of Mount Sinai where he had

  76. an encounter with the Lord. And in this time of encounter,

  77. he was up there for 40 days and nights, and he didn't eat or

  78. drink, but he was in the presence of God for 40 days and

  79. 40 nights. And so it says when Moses came

  80. down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with

  81. the terms of the covenant, the the 10 commandments, he wasn't

  82. aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to

  83. the Lord. So there was this encounter with

  84. God, this time of presence with God.

  85. And he said so powerful was that time, so impactful that it not

  86. only was a time where he received and heard, but actually

  87. his very face shone. The nature of his entire face

  88. was radiating now the glory of God, the presence of God.

  89. And so it says, he wasn't aware that his face had become radiant

  90. because he had spoken to the Lord.

  91. So when Aaron and the people of Israel saw the radiance of Moses

  92. face, they were afraid to come near him.

  93. I get that. I get that.

  94. If if all of a sudden you came out of your your house and all

  95. of a sudden your face is like radiating shining, I've gone.

  96. Is there radiation nearby? Is there some sort of exposure?

  97. We need to be worried about what's going on?

  98. And so he actually shares with the people what God says.

  99. And then after he shares what the Lord says, he actually wear

  100. wore a veil. And then slowly that faded.

  101. So let's go back to Two Corinthians chapter 3.

  102. But if the ministry of death. So the law was given through

  103. Moses, from God through Moses, but the law was put in place as

  104. a placeholder, as a definer, so we could see where we miss it

  105. with God. Paul writes about this in

  106. Romans. Is it?

  107. The law was not put in place to save us, it was put in place so

  108. we could see how far we are from God.

  109. But if this ministry of death written and engraved on stones

  110. was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not

  111. look steadily at the face of Moses, because the glory of his

  112. countenance which glory was passing away, how will the

  113. ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?

  114. See, this is the contrasting position.

  115. If the law which was unable to save us was so amazing, so

  116. powerful that Moses face shone, it was radiant that people

  117. couldn't look at him. It was just too much glory.

  118. There's too much going on. Paul's saying if that was the

  119. law that was to pass away in and even that glory on Moses face

  120. was to fade, how much more glorious will this ministry of

  121. the Spirit this time of the Spirit not be more glorious.

  122. You see, when when we come into this place of presence, we come

  123. into the place of the presence of Almighty God, the glorious

  124. One, the King of glory, we come into the place of power and the

  125. importance of his glory. It continues on and says, For if

  126. the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of

  127. righteousness exceeds much more in glory.

  128. So if all of those things we were instructed to do that we

  129. couldn't actually meet had this incredible glory, how much more

  130. now that we have right standing with God through Jesus Christ

  131. our Lord? That's the contrast.

  132. That was a great glory. But even more now, those of us

  133. who are part of the new covenant in Jesus, we have a position to

  134. be able to step into the glory of God.

  135. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect

  136. because of the glory that excels.

  137. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much

  138. more glorious, the glory of the Lord.

  139. We are part of the New covenant, and that glory we have received

  140. is more powerful, more available, more present than the

  141. glory that was received by Moses, because the glory he had

  142. faded. But the Holy Spirit of God

  143. remains. The spirit of the living God

  144. remains. He who is Lord remains.

  145. I want to give you an example from Solomon's temple, because

  146. one of the things that can be difficult to grasp is

  147. descriptions of the glory of God.

  148. But there are some great ones in the Scriptures.

  149. And so I'm going to encourage you.

  150. Who has a pretty decent imagination.

  151. Yeah, pretty good. All right.

  152. OK. And those who don't bump your

  153. hands. OK, we're going to try today.

  154. You know why it's important to have an imagination?

  155. Because the Scripture says in Ephesians 320 He does

  156. immeasurable, immeasurable be on more than you can imagine.

  157. So have a big imagination because God wants to do more

  158. than even that bit He wants. You have an imagination because

  159. He wants to blow that away. OK, that's an aside.

  160. Before He reveals glory, He expands capacity.

  161. Before He sends weight, he strengthens structure.

  162. Pastor Terence shared this on New Year's Eve.

  163. Before he reveals glory, he expands capacity.

  164. Before he sends weight, he strengthens structure.

  165. Now Pastor Terence was referencing this as in terms of

  166. what the Lord had been sharing and doing here at Lovequest.

  167. And I want to give an example out of Solomon's Temple about

  168. the preparation and how the Lord is moving.

  169. So we're going to go to Second Chronicles chapter 5 and verse

    2 Chronicles 5 chapter mention

  170. 7. Solomon had built the temple

  171. because David, his father, King David, his father had wanted to

  172. do it, but he'd been instructed he wasn't able to do it.

  173. But the Solomon should build the temple, and there was an immense

  174. amounts of gold and wood and medals and fineries all put in.

  175. And once it had been completed, he actually brought all the

  176. elders from around Israel and the people of Israel to come to

  177. the dedication of the temple. And once they had finished, it

  178. says in verse 7, then the priests carried the ark of the

  179. Lord's covenant into the inner sanctuary of the temple, the

  180. most Holy Place, and placed it beneath the wings of the

  181. cherubim. Now I want to give you an

  182. understanding of what the wings of the cherubim were.

  183. In the Bible it says there were 24 cubits high.

  184. I don't know what a cubit is. No one uses cubits anymore,

  185. right? So I looked it up and it's 36

  186. feet tall. Golden angels with their wings

  187. arched now 36 feet tall. I'm I'm just just over 6 foot,

  188. so it's almost 6 of me high, which would be probably twice

  189. the height of the building we have here.

  190. Just to give you a sense of the enormity of the this hole in

  191. holies. And there were huge golden

  192. chirps and not the baby ones that you see that all chubby.

  193. It's not one of those. And this gives us a sense of

  194. what they saw the glory of God as enormous.

  195. And these are the angels, 36 feet tall, made of gold.

  196. And they brought the ark of the covenant.

  197. And the ark of the covenant was the place where God met the

  198. people of Israel, and they brought that into the temple.

  199. And you can see him, small, small font here.

  200. Invite the King today. If you've never invited Jesus in

  201. your life, I encourage you invite the King today.

  202. If you have been in a space where you haven't been

  203. permitting the Lord to be Lord, invite the King.

  204. Invite the king into the place where he dwells.

  205. To skip down to verse 11, then the priests left the holy place.

  206. Just so you understand the structure of the temple, there

  207. was the Holy of Holies or the Most Holy Place, which is where

  208. the Ark of the Covenant was kept.

  209. Only the high priest was allowed in there once a year.

  210. The holy place around that is where the priest would be able

  211. to go and do ministry to the Lord.

  212. And then there was an outer court.

  213. And so the priest left the holy place.

  214. They had done their, the, the work they had to prepare.

  215. And all the priests who were present had purified themselves

  216. whether or not they were on duty that day.

  217. So they all turned up. Usually there were different

  218. divisions. So you do that week and you do

  219. that week, you know, on four days, on four days off, right?

  220. Not quite that, but that's the idea.

  221. But they were all present and they'd all purified themselves.

  222. They'd done the ceremonial cleansing.

  223. They'd all prepared their hearts.

  224. They'd all become prepared. They'd all prepared to serve the

  225. Lord. They'd all prepared for this

  226. great day of dedication of the temple.

  227. They'd all come together. They prepared their hearts.

  228. They were prepped and ready. You're prepared.

  229. Remember the the word of God we received back in August, I

  230. believe it was the 23rd and it was You're repaired because the

  231. wind is blowing. You're equipped because the wind

  232. is blowing. You're prepared.

  233. You're ready. You're prepared for the presence

  234. of the King. You're prepared and ready for

  235. the King of glory. You're ready to receive what he

  236. has for you. They would sanctify themselves.

  237. They would cleanse themselves in preparation of the coming of the

  238. King. They prepared themselves to

  239. worship. They prepared themselves.

  240. I would encourage you, especially those of you who are

  241. the Love Quest International churches, your home.

  242. I encourage you come prepared. Come prepared to worship.

  243. Come prepared to receive. Come prepared, take that time.

  244. Maybe it's in the car, maybe it's before the car, depending

  245. on whether you have children, because that can be more

  246. challenging. Become prepared and ready for

  247. what God has for you. But you are ready for what God

  248. is doing. So they were prepared.

  249. And the Levites, who are musicians, Asaph, Heman,

  250. Jetathan and all their sons and brothers were dressed in fine

  251. linen robes and stood at the east side of the altar playing

  252. cymbals, liars and harps. They were joined by 120 priests

  253. who are playing trumpets. This goes beyond you.

  254. You see, there's three people named there.

  255. And it was all their brothers and all their sons and all of

  256. them. See, you're preparing to receive

  257. the King of glory, but it's not for you.

  258. You're preparing to receive the Lord of hosts.

  259. It's not for you. It's so you can be an impact on

  260. those around you, so that when you receive the power of His

  261. glory, when you experience the encounter with God, you are

  262. prepared because the impact goes beyond you.

  263. You're blessed to be a blessing. You're blessed with purpose.

  264. You're blessed to encounter Jesus as the risen King, not

  265. just for you, but beyond you. This is a time when the Lord is

  266. coming to deliver households. We receive that word for pastor

  267. terrorists. He's coming to deal with

  268. households. There's an anointing,

  269. Hallelujah. So we are prepared and ready,

  270. and it goes beyond you. And then the trumpeters and

  271. singers perform together in unison to praise and give thanks

  272. to the Lord. Accompanied by trumpets, symbols

  273. and other instruments, they raise their voices and praise

  274. the Lord with His words. Can you say this with me?

  275. He is good. His faithful love endures

  276. forever. He is good.

  277. His faithful love endures forever.

  278. They had a revelation. They had a revelation.

  279. I know this, He is good, I know this.

  280. His love endures forever. This is a thankfulness of hearts

  281. and in unison that we're rejoicing in unison that was

  282. giving thanks to the Lord. Thanks opens gates.

  283. Remember we read in Psalm 24 verse 9 and it said, lift up

    Psalms 24:9

  284. your head, O ye gates, for the King of glory is coming.

  285. Your thanks opens the gate, Your thanks and there was a power in

  286. the unity as they come in one accord to give thanks to the

  287. Lord. It opened the gates at that

  288. moment. Say at that moment a thick cloud

  289. filled the temple of the Lord. The priest could not continue

  290. their service because of the cloud.

  291. For the glorious presence of the Lord fill the temple of God.

  292. In the Amplified classic it says For the glory of the Lord fill

  293. the House of God. We often call it the manifest

  294. presence of God because God is around, God is at work.

  295. But there's this, these encounters where you see it, you

  296. sense it. In this situation, the House of

  297. God was filled with the presence of God and it was shown as a

  298. cloud and they couldn't do continue their work.

  299. Presence of the Lords is so thick, they couldn't do the

  300. work. His glory captures attention.

  301. His glory captures attention. His glory was so rich, so

  302. present that they couldn't continue.

  303. There was so much weight to it. Glory in the in the original is

  304. actually often defined as weight, and it in that weight is

  305. kind of the idea of splendor, majesty, awaiting this to it a

  306. weight to the glory of God. But his glory, first of all,

  307. before we go, can you picture that?

  308. Can you picture that in your mind's eye?

  309. This incredible temple with gold and and and lavish purple linens

  310. and richness, and then the presence of God comes like a

  311. cloud that's so weighty, they cannot even remain in the holy

  312. place. Can you picture that?

  313. A glory is so substantive, so powerful, so rich, and now

  314. consider this. His glory now resides in you.

  315. 1st Corinthians 619 and 20 says or do you not know that your

  316. body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you

  317. have from God, and you are not your own, for you are bought at

  318. a price, and therefore glorify God in your body and in your

  319. spirit, which are gods. Now in in grammar I learnt when

  320. the apostrophe is here, that means it belongs to that thing,

  321. It's a possessive, it's a now your body and your spirit belong

  322. to God. You've been redeemed by the

  323. blood of the Lamb, that glorious presence, that glorious love,

  324. that great work. And so now because we have been

  325. redeemed, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit, that very glory

  326. of God. Paul here is challenging them,

  327. saying, hey, what are you doing with your body?

  328. What are you doing with your life?

  329. Why are you allowing yourself to get caught up in these things

  330. when your body is actually the temple of the Spirit of the

  331. living God? Remember that glory that you

  332. pictured in your mind's eye. Remember the glory of God and

  333. now you are the temple. You are the dwelling place of

  334. the glory. God is coming to do what He is

  335. ready to do. This is the year of the Lord of

  336. hosts. God is ready to do what He's

  337. going to do, is coming to do what He's ready to do.

  338. A Lord of hosts is His name. Two Corinthians chapter 3 a

  339. little further on in verse 17 says now the Lord is a spirit

  340. and where the spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty,

  341. emancipation from bondage, true freedom, and we all with

  342. unveiled faces. Remember we referenced Moses had

  343. to put a veil on his face with because the glory was too much

  344. for the people. So now we with unveiled faces,

  345. we don't have to have the veil over our eyes.

  346. We now with unveiled faces continually seeing as in a

  347. mirror the glory of God are progressively being transformed

  348. into His image from 1° of glory to even more glory which comes

  349. from the Lord who is the Spirit. The Lord is the Spirit, and with

  350. the Spirit of Lord is liberty. And we all with unveiled faces

  351. continually seeing, how are you seeing?

  352. Through what lens are you seeing?

  353. Which influencer is influence you're seeing?

  354. What are you allowing to influence you're seeing?

  355. What parts of you're seeing of you need to be uncluttered?

  356. What parts of your seeing need to be stripped off?

  357. Like it says in Hebrews 12 verse one, What part of your seeing is

  358. influenced by others opinions? What parts of your seeing is

  359. impacted by old ideas but not the word?

  360. What part of your seeing is a distortion?

  361. What part of your seeing is not purified by the word?

  362. You see, how we see ourselves is reflected in what we do.

  363. If I see myself as not good enough?

  364. If I see myself as insufficient, as I see myself as unworthy, as

  365. I see myself as worthless, I have not taken on the image of

  366. Christ, I've taken the on the image of others.

  367. Opinions. I'm not taken on board that I am

  368. made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus as it says in two

  369. Corinthians 521. Made righteous through Jesus.

  370. This is important. There are so many people giving

  371. you an opinion about how you should see yourself.

  372. There are so many people who believe that they have a word

  373. about you. Sometimes it's family, sometimes

  374. it's closer than just an Instagram, sometimes it's

  375. comparison. Comparison will RIP the heart

  376. out of your identity. But you are not called to have

  377. the opinion of another person. You are called to have the

  378. opinion of the Word of God. So here we are.

  379. We're seeing as in the mirror, the glory of the Lord.

  380. Are we seeing the glory of the Lord and we're being

  381. progressively being transformed into what?

  382. His image, Not even my image of me.

  383. His image of me. So we go from 1° of glory to

  384. even more glory, which comes from the Lord who is the Spirit

  385. of God. So we talked about it before.

  386. You are the temple of Holy Spirit.

  387. So how are you permitting the Holy Spirit and the Word of God

  388. to tell you who you are? So you're receiving that?

  389. There's two final illustrations from the word I'd like to share

  390. that reflect the King of Glory and the Lord of hosts.

  391. And it's important because we need to understand what we're

  392. called into. We need to get an understanding

  393. of who He is. We had Christmas, who had a

  394. great Christmas. I had a good Christmas.

  395. Some people had a good. Yeah, yeah, good.

  396. Got some. You've got a couple of presents.

  397. It was nice. You know, I don't think I'm

  398. wearing any of them. No, not today.

  399. And at Christmas time. The world loves Christmas.

  400. We get presents. It's great.

  401. It's exciting. We've got the trees here.

  402. It's cold outside in Australia. It was hot outside.

  403. We'd get like, you know, 35°. We'd be down at the beach at

  404. Christmas. That's a whole different

  405. experience, but the world loves to define Jesus as a baby

  406. because he's not a threat. So let's go.

  407. Are you ready for an encounter with Almighty God?

  408. Isaiah chapter 6. Pastor Terence used this verse

    Isaiah 6 chapter mention

  409. in his New Year's Eve message, and I wanted to share it with

  410. you again. But here and imagine, picture

  411. and the year that King Isaiah died, I saw in a vision the Lord

  412. sitting on a throne, high and exalted, with the train of his

  413. royal robe filling the most holy part of the temple.

  414. Above him, Seraphim, their angels, heavenly beings stood.

  415. Each one had 6 wings. With two wings he covered his

  416. face. With two wings he covered his

  417. feet, with two wings he flew, and one called out to the other,

  418. saying, Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts.

  419. The whole earth is filled with His glory, and the foundations

  420. of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who was called,

  421. who called out, and the temple was filling with smoke.

  422. Then I said, Woe is me, for I am ruined because I am a man of

  423. ceremonial, ceremonially unclean lips, and I live among a people

  424. of unclean lips. For my eyes have seen the King,

  425. the Lord of hosts, the King of Glory is being revealed as the

  426. Lord of Hosts, the Lord of Heaven's armies.

  427. The King of glory is also the Lord of heaven's armies.

  428. The king of glories is rising in this year as the Lord of hosts.

  429. The King of glory is rising in this time to stand and to bring

  430. judgment. The King of glory has come as

  431. the Lord of hosts because he is ready.

  432. Revelation 19, verse 11 to 16. You're going to love this one.

    Revelation 19:11–16

  433. You're going to love it. You're going to love it.

  434. OK, don't read ahead. Now take this moment.

  435. This is the risen Jesus. Then I saw heaven open wide and

  436. oh, a White Horse and its rider. The rider named faithful and

  437. true, judges and makes war in pure righteousness.

  438. His eyes are a blaze of fire, on his head many crowns.

  439. He has a name inscribed that's known only to himself.

  440. He is dressed in a robe soaked with blood, and he is addressed

  441. as Word of God. Who could tell me?

  442. The Word of God is Jesus. The armies of heaven, mounted on

  443. white horses and dressed in dazzling white linen, follow

  444. him. A sharp sword comes out of his

  445. mouth so he can subdue the nations, then rule them with a

  446. rod of iron. He treads the winepress of the

  447. raging wrath of God the Sovereign strong, and on his

  448. robe and thigh is written King of kings, a Lord of Lords.

  449. This is the resurrected Jesus. This is the one in whom we've

  461. verse in Tekken, Corinthians 3 verse 17 to 18.

  462. How are you seeing? The glory of God?

  463. How are you seeing? Yourself, how will you see the
