Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Love Quest International
-
Church podcast, where we seek to love all nations, equip the
-
church, mobilize the equipped, and serve all.
-
We're super glad you're joining us from whenever and wherever
-
you're at in the world. Welcome to the family to get
-
your Bibles ready, get some water, get some coffee, maybe
-
some tea, and get ready to receive.
-
Let's get into it. Some folks might be like, man,
-
why do we can't we area get to the word not to know you don't
-
understand. Maybe maybe this moment was some
-
for was for some people who didn't think they'll make it
-
this far. Maybe it was for some people who
-
didn't think they'll have some joy again, but for me, one of
-
the reasons I praise is to put the devil back in his place.
-
Yes, I'm praising my God, but it's something about a room full
-
of people who have a revel. See, here's the thing,
-
everybody, they've been through something, but not everybody got
-
a revelation that they've been brought out of something.
-
So I love getting around people who are unashamed, like any like
-
like like like like, like, I don't know, I don't know where
-
you grew up. I don't know none of that.
-
OK. But man, there are you need some
-
friends that whenever you hit them up and say it's time to
-
ride, you need you need some friends that when you say, when
-
you when you hashtag time to ride, they know what's up,
-
right? I don't, I don't got no time to
-
explain what I'm going through, but you know, it's time to ride.
-
All right, listen, listen, listen.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm telling you it's good.
-
It's good. It's good.
-
See, here's here's what I do know is that the enemy, the
-
enemy does not want a church like this.
-
I'm going to just say it. I know this is a cuss word for
-
some people, but does not want a church like this to to grow.
-
Can you imagine that moment? This is why I say some of y'all
-
be on YouTube watching these moments.
-
But in the United States though, Yeah, yeah, right.
-
Because they they they're they're aware man, man, I'm
-
telling you I'm from that soil. They they not just aware, they
-
just they they're they're they're aware that if it had not
-
been for God, I'd be in prison. Woo.
-
So when you in a room where ain't nobody looking at you
-
funny because you praising God, No, no, no, no.
-
When you in a room where you look down the road and somebody
-
is you just like, Yep, I feel you.
-
She getting her praise on. I don't even need to know what's
-
going on. But when I look in the audience,
-
I see somebody crying with tears of joy.
-
I'm like, yeah, yeah, they they get it.
-
God has brought them through and they're grateful right now when
-
I see people that's dancing and they ain't ain't worried about
-
what you think. And I'm like, man, they've been
-
through something, right? And that's why the world
-
gravitate to the world, because the world is real about what
-
they're going through. We supposed to be the people who
-
say we going through, but we also got a way out.
-
The world got more people following it because people are
-
looking for somebody to say, man, you understand where I'm
-
going? Do you understand what I've been
-
through? We come in church and we act
-
like we made it, but we're going through what they going through.
-
We just trying to act like, no, that's just not the Bible I read
-
guys. A lot of our loud are quiet, our
-
charisma, our non charisma, whatever you want to call it,
-
it's all cultural. It's not Bible.
-
So don't act like you're quiet. Is is is theology, just like we
-
can't act like our our loud is theology.
-
But I will tell you, you're going to see more of us crazy
-
people in the Bible then you will see put together and and
-
calm and collected, right? We talking about people, the
-
people God made made sure we heard about was calling down
-
rain. What we talking about people who
-
had lions licking on their face and they just sitting there in
-
peace, right? We talking about a different
-
kind of people pull up some characters in the Bible and
-
don't, don't, don't tell me you don't see more folks that are
-
outward with their faith. So this region does not have a
-
church issue, but I do believe certain churches are planted for
-
certain principalities. You see it in sports.
-
They have matchups. You see it in the ocean.
-
You don't go in the ocean fishing with with bait and and
-
tell me on fish, tell me lures that you do in the river.
-
It's match ups. So what make you think any
-
church can penetrate every level of darkness?
-
It can't. That's why God's like it's time
-
to ride and what watch this. I have come to the point where I
-
only want to ride with those that want to ride.
-
So if you don't want to ride, sit at the bus stop.
-
But this bus is going so, so so tonight we are going to have a
-
special night. It's it's coming to me more and
-
more this morning. I announced we had a special
-
message tonight and we're going to be talking about friends
-
matter. This is going to be revival type
-
of message. You like what is what is friends
-
got to do with revival? Everything.
-
That's why you're not experiencing it because you're
-
friends watch this the people you listen to some of y'all
-
friends with people that ain't friends with you.
-
Hallelujah. Somebody say help me Jesus.
-
Yeah, you out here calling somebody a friend and they not
-
calling you friend. Watch this.
-
You out here following people on Instagram that they don't even
-
know you, don't care about you and ain't followed you back, but
-
they got a voice in your life. Watch this.
-
We're called to love everybody. Not everybody gets access.
-
I said it this morning, one of the biggest leadership regrets I
-
have in my life is I gave too many people access to my heart.
-
That is not Bible. God, Jesus, angels didn't ask me
-
to do that. And that is a biblical pattern
-
shown to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to show us
-
how to be human. Only three got heart revelation.
-
Not everybody's supposed to know what you're going through, why
-
you're going through it. Not everybody even deserve your
-
testimony. And you got people out here got
-
10 friends. How you got 10 friends and even
-
and it ain't a basketball team. Hey, this is not even a sports
-
team that you friends with 10 people, but you just you just
-
hang. You got that many people And
-
then when somebody don't want to hang out, you got another
-
friend. I promise you, not all of them
-
are friends. Watch this.
-
This is what I learned the other day.
-
Gossip a messy person, even if it's your friend is messy.
-
Watch this. It's just not your turn yet.
-
But if you see them messy about other people, it's only a matter
-
of time. They're going to be messy about
-
you it watch this if they betray other friends, promise you it's
-
all it's just not your turn yet. So you got to identify who's in
-
your life for what some people watch some of your heartbreak
-
would not happen if you knew they was only in your life for a
-
job opportunity or you would. The people here you got some
-
friends, you trying to make your friends and they were called to
-
be your mentor. So you want your mentor to be
-
your friend and your friend to be your mentor.
-
And you wonder why it don't work.
-
You don't want your pastor to cover you.
-
You want your friend to cover you because they're a little
-
older than you. And watch this.
-
You want your pastor to be your friend and you wonder why it's
-
don't work. You wonder why you got holes in
-
your soul. Tonight we going this is going
-
to be revival tonight. Watch this because most of our
-
wounds is from so-called friends or family.
-
So we dealt with family matters tonight.
-
I got to give you friends matter.
-
Watch this. Watch this closeness.
-
Here's the hook. close does not mean covenant.
-
And how do I discern the people I'm family with because some of
-
y'all feel obligated to family members who God freed you from.
-
Here's Jesus, says my Mama, Mama, somebody say Mama, you
-
only got how many Mamas One my Mama and my brother and my
-
sister are only those who do my father's will.
-
And some of y'all letting people who don't do the Father's will
-
come in between you and the person God is calling you to.
-
Who do does the Father's will? You getting wisdom from people
-
who don't do the Father's will running from the wisdom from the
-
people who do do the Father's will.
-
You all jacked up. Somebody look at your neighbors,
-
say you all jacked up, but I'm praying for you.
-
Come on, you sat by me so I can tell you you jacked up.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no where.
-
Watch this, watch this. What if I told you there are
-
certain things that can't be released in your life because of
-
who you're associated with? Watch this, watch this.
-
Abraham was not supposed to bring Lot right?
-
Some the the people who didn't say nothing, they like Lot.
-
Who is lot? Read your Bible, Read your
-
Bible. Who is lot?
-
Lot brought Jesus. I mean Lot brought Abraham or
-
what? Lot of problems right right
-
right right right right is Abraham is looking and God gave
-
him a promise y'all going to get pregnant Like OK they get
-
impatient you start looking around OK she like you can go
-
ahead and sleep with the maiden. Nowhere in the Bible does it say
-
Abraham said. Are you sure Abe was like don't
-
mind if I do Amen. Hallelujah mighty woman of God,
-
look at you. Listen, who you around in this
-
season? For some of you it's a matter of
-
life or death. Some of you can't heal because
-
you still around certain voices tonight.
-
I'm the other part of tonight and it's going to start prayer
-
starts at 6:00. If you wasn't here this morning,
-
I'm going to get into a little bit but God is God is is he is
-
looking for some people he could set on fire for prayer and I
-
started with myself because I realized as much as I pray to
-
God, I I I'm available to God. I am a man of faith.
-
I don't necessarily carry watch this.
-
I don't carry a now, now, now, I don't know if this is OK for a
-
pastor to say, but I also understand that this role up
-
here is does not define that I've made it, I've perfected it,
-
nor with my weaknesses. I'm really weak.
-
So I'm not going to let people's double standards right you you
-
can act up. I can't, right?
-
You can. You can live, you, You could
-
drink. But if I walked out here with a
-
bottle of Hennessy, you'll be looking at me like I'm crazy.
-
But I realized if I'm honest with you, and I have to do this
-
because he's doing something new in me so I can leave the past
-
behind, that's what I'm doing by telling you this.
-
I'm leaving the past behind. I didn't necessarily carry a
-
burden to pray. And I would say most of you in
-
here don't either. For some of you, most of your
-
prayer life consists of asking God for something or you in some
-
trouble or you need God to change something.
-
What I do know is God is not correcting me for not praying
-
because I do feel like the pray without ceasing is something I
-
do and that word pray without ceasing.
-
You get this the other day if you go research it.
-
This ongoing form of prayer is is like a prompting.
-
It's like I heard this great example of it.
-
It's like when you you ever heard somebody say, man, I've
-
been coughing all day. Was you like?
-
I'm about to pass out just doing that.
-
You just like you go on, drink some water, watch this.
-
And then you feel the cough prompting you pray without
-
ceasing. It's being ready to return to
-
cough again. Some of our prayer lives is like
-
if you felt a cough and you went, you ever see somebody
-
trying to save a sneeze? Like don't sneeze, man, just
-
sneeze. If you ever did that, it hurt.
-
It actually hurts your heart. Stop for real.
-
For real. That one right there, huh, man?
-
The Holy Spirit is here to help us pray.
-
So when he, you, you at work, you're like, oh, I'm at work.
-
He didn't ask you to pray out loud.
-
He just asked you for that moment.
-
He moves up on you and you walk and you in a meeting.
-
He didn't ask you to say, excuse me, guys, the Spirit of the Lord
-
is up on me. He didn't ask you to even leave
-
the meeting. He comes to prompt you.
-
He's like, thank you, Jesus, Hallelujah, right?
-
He didn't ask you to involve somebody else in your prayer.
-
So tonight we're going to get that message.
-
I don't know, I got a few more minutes.
-
Let me get to get get this second-half to you guys real
-
quick. And we're going to come back
-
tonight and we're going to worship and we're going to pray.
-
Now perfected is normally for equipping our leaders who's who
-
decide to serve, who are deciding to serve.
-
We are going to be having perfected until we get in this
-
building. We are going to make sure those
-
that are serving are on the same page in vision and mission and
-
in spirit. So perfected is a a time to
-
contend for unity around mission and vision.
-
Tonight, I just feel this prompting that we need to use
-
this night for those who are coming to perfect it, but also
-
open it up to the church. Your pastor is asking you to
-
come out. Yep.
-
Sacrifice. Absolutely next level that that
-
you read the Bible. That's all it is, is that's what
-
it's about. And I promise you, if you read
-
your Bible, there's worse stuff than coming to church at 6:00
-
PM. OK, won't, won't be no lions
-
here tonight. Won't, won't be no fiery furnace
-
here tonight. Wait a minute, it might be a
-
fiery furnace in here tonight, some prayer furnace up in here
-
tonight. But for me personally, as your
-
pastor, I am. If I, I am, I am I, I realize
-
that there's been some resistance against me.
-
And I'm not talking about people.
-
I'm not talking. I'm talking about it seems like
-
the enemy knows something that you are not really aware of.
-
At some point you got to pay attention and wait a minute.
-
I'm being faithful, I'm showing up, I'm a good person, I'm
-
sewing, I'm doing these, I'm doing the things I pray.
-
But this just seemed like a different level.
-
The worst thing is to not detect when the enemy turns up the fire
-
to not detect you're. So you're saying it's like the
-
frog in the you, you just so content because you've gotten
-
settled in to not having or to having that you're willing to
-
leave all kinds of promises on the table.
-
No, no, no. When are you going here?
-
To give you example, Jasmine, I was thinking about, so I told
-
you our tents fell and I was like, no, no, no, no, I'm not OK
-
with being in these tents another year.
-
I don't care. Look, look, I don't care if this
-
is your first month in the tent. I'm tired of the tent, right?
-
But by faith and being grateful, we like, let's do it.
-
But but I don't want another tent to fall.
-
I, I don't want to mop water. I'm grateful for like, like,
-
like, like, that's not God's plan, but you can be.
-
You can be so thankful and so in God's rest.
-
That you lose your edge in prayer because you have you have
-
settled with what he promised just may not show up.
-
And I'm watch this and I'm OK with it.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no no no no.
-
Me and my wife, me and my me and mom was about a week ago or some
-
we was in Calgary. We had a little moment when you
-
married, you have moments, OK, if you married for 23 years, you
-
got moments and you get what I'm saying.
-
Somebody say moments and and and me and her I forget what it was,
-
but we went to bed not talking right.
-
She had a little little attitude or something and PJ get attitude
-
sometime. OK, OK.
-
And I do too. Ladies like I hear the ladies
-
like I bet you do too. Like whatever, like Jesus.
-
But it was I forget what it was and the next day and I forget I
-
was I was I was being like stubborn, funny though, Like it
-
was funny. I was I was playing on the
-
situation and she was like Terrance, how long it was about
-
like she like, look, my wife are sick.
-
We were coming to the end of our season in Calgary.
-
OK. And so there was some cleaning
-
up and I came out to do my part. And sometime when you marry, you
-
really think you do more than the other person.
-
You just do different stuff. OK?
-
What? Watch this.
-
There is no such thing as 5050 in a marriage, OK?
-
Stop it. It's over.
-
Ain't no such thing. And that's the problem.
-
You when you got married to go half.
-
Ain't no such thing as half. OK, OK, thank you.
-
So so we were we we it was something like she she works
-
hard. She was cleaning it up and I
-
noticed. Look, look, look.
-
Yo boy. I came downstairs.
-
She was kind of in the mood. I know she was tired.
-
I walked up. I was like, babe, you need
-
something. You could she's like, no, I was
-
like, OK, that's fine. I went and washed the dishes.
-
I went and did. I was like you then you, you
-
good, you good, OK. And then later or whatever,
-
something happened and she said something.
-
You know, sometimes you'll say something.
-
You didn't mean to say it that way, but the way it came out, I
-
can't help but to hear it that way.
-
Then it was what it was. We talked it through.
-
And then she I was like, you know what?
-
I'm I'm, I'm over it. She was over it.
-
And watch this. We swept it under the rug family
-
matters. We swept it under the rug next
-
day. Watch this.
-
We both good how she was raised how I was raised, which could be
-
a problem. We all we talked about
-
everything like everything. OK, so we we balance each other
-
out in that way. It's always something in the day
-
happened. And I was like, baby, you need
-
me to do anything. And she said, OK, Terrence, when
-
you're going to stop or whatever it was.
-
It was, it was a cute moment. And then I took like 10 minutes
-
and I said, look, this is what was going on.
-
And I know how you work. I know how I work.
-
But I want to work through this because we should never go to
-
bed like this. We should never go to bed like
-
that. Here's how we should
-
communicate. She asked the valid question.
-
So when is it? When is it over?
-
When is it resolved? And then we talked about it and
-
then it was over and we moved on Here.
-
Here's what it here. Here's where you tie this in.
-
I we, we are contending for the marriage God promised what the
-
little bickers that go unchecked add up The the, the how you talk
-
to me, but I'm cool. I brushed it off.
-
You're developing A hardness to deal.
-
Now you're changing versus speaking up and saying no,
-
that's not allowed in our house. We can't talk to each other like
-
that. My bad.
-
How can I, how can I get this from you and how can I
-
communicate in a way where you don't?
-
You don't sound like this. We're contending for what God
-
promised and what I'm saying for some of you, you're not checking
-
the pattern, you're not checking the enemy.
-
Some stuff ain't the devil in 2026.
-
It is the pattern the devil set in 19 O 6 Devil been done with
-
your family. He just put you on cycle and
-
nobody in your family is breaking it.
-
We're just making excuses of who fault it is.
-
What I'm telling you is the same thing in prayer.
-
When are you going to get a umph about not another day with the
-
frogs? Not another day in my house, not
-
another day with my find it, not another day with my marriage,
-
not another day, not another day It's it's it's got to stop.
-
So then I was just like no and God watch this.
-
God will allow you to walk in circles until you mad about
-
walking in circles. Watch this.
-
The truth of the matter is the children of Israel got
-
comfortable wandering. Some of y'all don't mind
-
wandering. I will tell you, those that have
-
ears to hear your Nets will only be reached through this next
-
dimension of prayer that we're pressing into today.
-
No, no, no, no, he won't change. They, they, they not coming
-
home. God is looking in the earth for
-
somebody that will intercede, stand in the gap.
-
He said, can you not watch with me for one hour?
-
He didn't say can you watch with me for a lifetime?
-
Can you watch with me for a month?
-
He didn't say, can you watch with me for a day?
-
He didn't even say, can you watch with me all day?
-
He said one hour. And I think a lot of you in here
-
pray to the hour. You don't pray through the hour.
-
And that's why we're talking today.
-
Through it, pray through it. This is what Jacob said.
-
I'm not letting go until you bless me.
-
He said, I'm praying through it. Somebody say through it.
-
Luke 11 One, they see him praying, the disciples see him
-
praying. And they say, teach us how to
-
pray. Somebody say teach us how to
-
pray. They're they're, they're a part
-
of Jewish customs. Watch this guys.
-
Watch this. They prayed.
-
So they weren't asking teach me how to pray because we don't
-
pray. Teach me how to pray so I can
-
live in power. They saw Jesus got results.
-
They saw when Jesus stepped on the scene, peace also stepped on
-
the scene. Some of y'all pray but when you
-
step on the scene chaos show up. Lord teach us how to pray so
-
that we are not overshadowed by anxiety.
-
What what is overshadowing you? Whatever overshadows you, you
-
will release. They said Jesus you, you getting
-
results, blind eyes open when you pray and watch this.
-
Some of y'all in here think that miracles are done because that's
-
what Jesus did. Well he said those that believe
-
they shall cast out demons lay hands on the sick and the sick
-
shall what recover. Why we don't see that today?
-
How many times you've been at a family dinner and you left a
-
family member sick? Watch this.
-
Watch this. I'm talking about the level of
-
prayer that it grieves you to see somebody that need prayer
-
and you can't leave without praying for them.
-
OK, OK, OK, OK. OK.
-
How how, how, how did you sit there with your auntie?
-
How did you sit there with your uncle?
-
How did you sit there with your Mama?
-
How did you go out to dinner with that friend knowing they
-
sick, knowing they need prayer and you didn't pray for them?
-
Don't tell me you pray, because the burden of prayer is for
-
everywhere and everybody that need prayer, right Prayer, the
-
burden of prayer is like a high end restaurant that won't let
-
your cup touch empty. I'm not I'm not talking about
-
the little broke restaurants where your cup you like where
-
they at? I need some water.
-
No, I'm talking about a a nice restaurant where your cup get
-
down and they they right there, they right there, they they,
-
they right there. That's what prayer is.
-
You're not going to come around me and stay the same.
-
At bare minimum, your insides going to start shifting.
-
So they like teach us how to pray because watch this, watch
-
this. I'm about to ask you a very
-
sobering question. When are you going to be tired
-
of being a powerless Christian? When you're going to be tired of
-
not being able to overcome that? Some of you overcome stuff
-
because it passed things. Passing is not you overcoming
-
it. It just passed and some of y'all
-
waiting for it to pass versus conquering.
-
Bible says I'm more than a conqueror.
-
Conquerors don't wait for it to pass.
-
They take it by force. You ask if I asked us to pray if
-
I asked us to pray right now and you notice sometimes we're going
-
to be like pray for two minutes and then ten nine because then
-
some people shows me like praise God, we almost done.
-
I just said two minutes and you excited about the watch this you
-
excited about the countdown and willing to leave without the
-
results. Yeah.
-
I, I, I get to see it y'all y'all just y'all look at
-
everybody head. I look at everybody face.
-
We ask people to pray and within 60 seconds folks is done.
-
That don't burden you that you actually don't know how to talk
-
to God. Wait a minute.
-
You gave your life to a savior you don't even know how to talk
-
to where we at today? That don't bother you that that
-
don't bother you That you are a part of a religion.
-
You don't even know the leader. So what you what you a partner?
-
At least some of these other religions, they man, they 5:00
-
watch this whenever Ramadan come around, watch this.
-
I see people walking around, walking.
-
Man, that place is packed. Watch this.
-
No, no, no condemnation, just conviction.
-
We call for prayer and you get the same 25 people show up.
-
Where you at? Where you at?
-
And you like I'm believing for this, but I paid this price.
-
You, you don't want to have to party.
-
That's jealous of everybody who paid for VIP tickets.
-
Watch this. You, the person trying to get a
-
deal. You can't get a deal on a
-
miracle. It costs.
-
When you forget, you fall asleep.
-
Remembrance fuels a vibrant prayer life and I said I'm tired
-
of settling for crumbs when God promised me the whole loaf.
-
I'm not settling for sprinkles when He promised me showers.
-
I'm not settling for healing when He promised me wholeness.
-
I'm not settling for manna when He promised the land that flows
-
with milk and honey. I'm not settling because the
-
truth is I'm fed up and it's OK to get to that place.
-
No, I thought I was going to be further along.
-
We'll do something about it. Watch this.
-
It ain't apply for another job. It ain't worth more hours.
-
The answer ain't a diploma. What if the answer was prayer?
-
A diploma? Not going to fix it.
-
A husband ain't going to fix it. We trying?
-
We like the woman with the issue of blood.
-
She tried everything, none better until she tried the one.
-
I am here to challenge every person in here today.
-
We all probably got a prayer issue.
-
This next hour is going to require us to dig like never
-
before. You can have a prayer life and
-
still not have a powerful life. And I don't know about you.
-
I'm too competitive to not live with some power in my life.
-
I'm too competitive to let the devil just keep on getting over
-
on me or getting over on my family.
-
No, I'm too competitive to watch a cousin who on their way to
-
hell and I'm not going to fast for him.
-
What? Watch this, watch this.
-
I asked the question a minute ago is how long you going to go
-
live in a powerless Christian life?
-
Watch this. How long you going to go not
-
doing something about your family members going to hell.
-
I'm sorry. You can't just let them die and
-
be like, I gotta gotta gotta balance it out.
-
No, no, no, no. It's clear there's a hell and
-
there's a heaven and some of y'all got family on the way and
-
you OK with it? Watch this.
-
And you say you love them. I'm here to let you know it's
-
not God's love. It's a form of love.
-
It's not God's love. You don't get high with your
-
cousins and pray for them. You don't hope God save them,
-
but you get high with them. That's not love.
-
That's not God's love. Tonight I'm praying for the
-
burden to pray to where I just can't help it.
-
Like like, like, no, no, I'm talking about and I'm not
-
talking about no little, no little Jesus wet prayer.
-
Now, a lot of words don't mean you're being effective in
-
prayer. Not going to talk about that
-
right now, but he he warned us about many words.
-
Watch this. This is why you got a heavenly
-
prayer language. And This is why you got the
-
Bible, because there comes a point when you run out of your
-
words. You pray the Word, you put your
-
emotions in the Word. Some of us only got 10 minute
-
prayer life because we're done talking ourselves.
-
Jesus gives us structure and then tells us about a woman in
-
Luke 18 who kept bugging and bothering an unjust judge who
-
had no honor for God or man. But he said if I don't stop and
-
bless her, then she going to keep bugging me.
-
And that's the standard of prayer is we do not let up.
-
We lock jaws in our prayer and we do not let go until we see
-
the result we are believing for. Watch this.
-
We're not talking about begging, see, because even when I talk
-
about passionate prayer, fervent prayer, resilient prayer,
-
diligence and prayer, you almost got a wild imagination.
-
Like that's just wild. Watch this.
-
You also got, when I say prayer warrior, you also got a type of
-
people who are prayer warriors. Like you think Elder John and
-
Elder Roseanne, like around that age, around like that people,
-
those are prayer warriors. So you going to wait until they
-
age to lock? Lock in?
-
The greatest threat to your prayer life is not the devil.
-
It's discouragement, deferred hope and distraction.
-
Because if the enemy can't stop God from answering the prayer,
-
He will try to stop you from asking.
-
Can I help somebody? He will try to stop you from
-
asking. Watch this.
-
And we're asking for stuff that we actually really don't care
-
about instead of asking for the things that will change
-
generations forever. No, no, no.
-
I need to war for this building. Watch this.
-
The war is either going to get us in or the war is going to get
-
God to say Nah. Watch this.
-
Abraham. I provided A sacrifice.
-
Thank you. Now I know, but to sit back and
-
just be like man, no, we going no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
-
I'm not going to see another fall in these tents.
-
Now watch this. We're doing everything.
-
Watch this. We are doing everything that we
-
are supposed to do. Watch this.
-
What I do believe in God is showing us is this building, if
-
you understood the history of this building, the history of
-
this community, this is a community and a building that
-
the devil and all of hell does not want to see happen now.
-
Now the wait is worth it because we're discovering a lot of stuff
-
and we're getting things right to go through the ribbon.
-
So the the the weight. And delay is not like, oh, we
-
need we don't got no money or oh, you guys did something that
-
no, no, no, this is we are discovering some things so that
-
we can build God's house, right. But I'm like, you can sit back
-
and just be like God gonna do it.
-
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no to get through the ribbon when
-
you cramping you in a race and you cramping you ever see them
-
inspirational. You know about this able a
-
little bit and you know, I mean you, you would like superstar,
-
though you don't cramp you just like you just walk through the
-
finish line like this, right. But folks like that kind.
-
That's what prayer looks like when you see them people, you
-
know they didn't do this. Oh, forget that.
-
Yeah, I need those people that that watch this that we going to
-
get through the ribbon before I get you some water.
-
You notice they didn't pick them up while they it's going to be
-
OK. You only got a few more miles
-
now to let me know if you don't want to get up and finish.
-
We don't got to finish while cramping.
-
Pick me up and carry me through. Watch this.
-
What's crazy? Same thing happened to Jesus.
-
Jesus didn't say you know what? You, you go to the cross for me.
-
So through it, through it. Prayer means to pray through the
-
silence when you don't hear God. Pray through the delay, pray
-
through the frustration, pray through disappointment, pray
-
through fatigue, and pray through confusion.
-
Pray through it. Some things do not break when
-
you pray. Once they break when you refuse
-
to stop. Where is it that you feel
-
resistance and where is it that you feel hope slipping?
-
Where did you forget? God promised that you were
-
supposed to get that? Where did you forget or get
-
weary or stop praying that God promised you that that family
-
member was going to get sober? Where did you stop praying and
-
being intense about the moment about your family or your Co
-
worker that God said he was going to heal?
-
Where did you just let up? Hope has deferred.
-
You do not get quiet. You do not stop.
-
Somebody say God I will not stop.
-
We need to pray without ceasing. You're going to have to write
-
fast. I'm equipping you.
-
We have to pray without ceasing. That word without ceasing means
-
continual, reoccurring and rhythmic return.
-
There is a rhythm in your responding to God.
-
You do not pray when you're in trouble alone.
-
Prayer without ceasing is not constant words.
-
Hear it, please. It is constant return #2 We need
-
effective fervent prayer. Yes, it's in the Bible.
-
Effective fervent prayer, The effective fervent prayer of a
-
righteous man or woman. Avails.
-
Must somebody say avails? Watch this.
-
This is the same word. Effective fervent means energy.
-
Oh, it means active, operative working, energized and producing
-
effect prayer. Like I'm not just quiet around
-
here. I'm not just sitting here trying
-
to be cute. The enemy got my child.
-
The enemy got my spouse. The enemy got my fine.
-
The enemy. Come on.
-
No, Like when you going to have a generational grip on what you
-
what you believe in for a generational grip on what you
-
believe in for realizing if you don't pray, your children is
-
going to have to deal with some stuff.
-
Lord, man, I was in the back. I I am asking Lord if there's
-
ever a way and I believe it's a prayer in my heart and I'm
-
praying it right now. Lord, I want the same man of
-
prayer my grandmama had. There it is.
-
Watch this. The prayer mantle ain't far from
-
you. My, my, my, my grandma be up at
-
3:00 in the morning on her knees 3 in the morning.
-
I'm gonna pray, but I'm be in the bed on my back.
-
We laughing, but but that posture got her son off crack
-
cocaine. That that posture got a
-
daughter. My mom, my Mama got kicked out
-
my mom. Even if you watching, it's a
-
testimony, mom, it's a testimony and more young or more women,
-
young people need to hear this testimony.
-
My Mama got kicked out of school.
-
She was a fighter. My Mama used to throw them
-
things all the time. My Mama, my Mama, you know, but
-
I look back, you know, my my mom used to throw them things.
-
My mom, my mom would be she, she's a fighter.
-
And what I realized is, Grandma, you don't have somebody like
-
that's praying like that. Where's Uncle Willy if Grandma
-
don't pray like that? Watch this.
-
Here's what y'all don't get. Where am I if Uncle Willy don't
-
get off crack? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-
Uncle Willy got me here. So if Uncle Willy don't get
-
sober, I I don't get here. Watch.
-
It's easy to be well, God. God is God, so he could do
-
whatever. No, no, no.
-
That's where you mistake it. If, if that they don't try to
-
take the special out of God. God's moving.
-
No, no, no. If Uncle Willie didn't make it,
-
I wouldn't have got here. Uncle Willie had to get sober
-
and Grandma had to intercede for Uncle Willie and Uncle Willie
-
had to go 1st and I had to come visit Uncle Willie and in order
-
to get on this land and for in order for God to talk to me and
-
here we are, somebody had to get saved in order to minister to
-
Billy Graham. Do you see how this work?
-
You got to get where you are to get because somebody is going to
-
be at that bus stop if you show up or not.
-
Active results and somebody say avails much.
-
This is the key. Can you be honest with yourself?
-
How often have you seen your prayers avail much?
-
Be honest, Watch this. Some of y'all ain't never prayed
-
for a sick person. And the healer lives in you and
-
all he's asking you asking you for is your faith in your
-
persistence avails much means to be strong, to prevail, to have
-
force and to overcome resistance.
-
We're talking about Elder John, a people that avail in prayer
-
that do not do not give up when encountering resistance.
-
The actively working prayer of a righteous person has great power
-
and prevails. Somebody say great power.
-
Power is not in prayer, you say. It is in prayer that is working.
-
It is in prayer that is working. So you could pray, but what does
-
your actions look like? Are you you praying for healing?
-
But has your diet lined up with the healing you believe in for
-
you praying for your spouse, but have you started talking to them
-
differently? The kindness of God brings men
-
to repentance. Power is not in prayer, you say,
-
It's in prayer that is working. I'll leave you right here.
-
James ties this thought into Elijah.
-
He prayed and it didn't rain. He prayed and it did rain.
-
That's a bad boy right there. James 5/17/18 Bible says Elijah
-
was a man with a nature like ours and he prayed earnestly
-
that it would not rain. Do you know how bad you got to
-
want it to not rain and pray and it don't rain?
-
See. See, this is the part we don't
-
understand. Danny is back then rain and not
-
rain was everything. Not rain leads to drought and
-
famine, which mean unemployment and starvation.
-
And it did not rain. And he prayed.
-
Somebody say again. And the heaven gave rain.
-
Elijah didn't just pray once, he stayed in it.
-
It wasn't a moment of prayer, it was a posture of persistence.
-
Effectual fervent prayer is through it, prayer through it,
-
prayer through it. Prayer because it keeps working.
-
It keeps pressing, and it keeps engaging.
-
If your prayer is not working, it's because you stopped before
-
it did. Write this down Gates of hell,
-
gates of hell gates. Now I'm looking for some people
-
going to finish this real strong.
-
I got I got about 5 people that's ready to finish this real
-
strong case Gates, gates, gates. Somebody say gates.
-
Gates represents places of authority, places of counsel,
-
and places of decision making. OK, we're we're we're, we're
-
ripping from the Scripture. And the gates of hell shall not
-
prevail against them. Who is them?
-
The ecclesia. Who is the ecclesia?
-
The church? Who's the church?
-
Us, you. The gates of hell shall not
-
prevail. So watch this if I'm
-
experiencing resistance, Troy, it is not for me to pray the
-
devil off because this is not what the scripture says.
-
The gates of hell shall not prevail, which means the the
-
gates of hell is trying to keep me out.
-
But I've got the power to get in.
-
And God said it is a call to go in more than it is for the devil
-
to let go. Gates are not weapons.
-
Gates are defensive structures. You with me?
-
Somebody say gates, Somebody say hell.
-
It is the realm of death, domain of darkness, the system opposed
-
to God's Kingdom, the gates of hell.
-
Whatever is resisting what God has promised in your life,
-
whatever is resisting what God is trying to get through your
-
life, whatever is resisting whatever God is trying to get to
-
your life. So this is everything the
-
authority, the gates of hell means the authority structures
-
of darkness. Watch this, the authority
-
structures. Here's how the devil gets us,
-
Laura. He has built been building
-
structures in our bloodline. So you not about to just pray
-
the devil away. He been gone.
-
His structure is still in the bloodline, so This is why all he
-
banks on is keep the structure. They'll inherit behavior and
-
then that behavior automatically gives access to the structure.
-
So it's no way I can overcome without being transformed
-
because his structures are designed for inherited patterns
-
and behavior. So, Yep, grew up with alcohol in
-
my house. Yep, I didn't.
-
But Yep, somebody in here did. Yep.
-
And you like, nothing wrong with it.
-
I got a job. I'm a good person.
-
OK, well, guess what you do got to your bloodline, still
-
structures. And so you good.
-
But your kids or your grandkids, guess what?
-
Because the structure's still in the bloodline, Yosef becomes
-
their addiction. I'm just saying, who in the
-
bloodline going to carry that cross for the bloodline?
-
Who who going to put The Who going to put the weed down?
-
Who going, who going, who going to do this and close it?
-
And you know what? I, I, I'm not good for computers
-
because every time I get a computer, I got to deal with the
-
temptation that I don't need to deal with.
-
So for the next year I'm fasting from computers.
-
But how am I going to live without a computer?
-
How did they live without computers?
-
So here we go, prevail. This is what we want to get to
-
prevail. Somebody say prevail.
-
The gates of hell shall not prevail, meaning overpower
-
dominate to withstand successfully.
-
So here's how it reads. The authority structures of
-
darkness will not overpower, withstand or stop our church.
-
Your family, your bloodline. Yeah.
-
I declare this is not the church's surviving attacks.
-
Hey, Elder John. I'm tired of surviving attacks.
-
OK, Watch this. Watch this.
-
This is not prevailing. Is not a surviving attacks.
-
Here it is. The church is advancing and hell
-
is trying to hold ground. Hell is not advancing on the
-
church. The church is advancing on hell.
-
Yeah. I'm coming to get my cousin
-
back. I'm coming to get my Mama back.
-
I'm coming to get my sanity back.
-
I'm coming to get my strength back.
-
I I'm coming to get my joy back. I'm coming.
-
I'm coming. I'm coming.
-
I'm coming to get it back. Prayer is how the church applies
-
pressure to the gates. The gates of hell are not
-
chasing you, they are resisting you.
-
Watch this. The devil ain't really messing
-
with your family, he's actually resisting you.
-
Hell is not trying to attack your life randomly, it is trying
-
to hold territory that belongs to you.
-
Troy that belongs to you, Jasmine, that belongs to UC on.
-
And prayer is how we push back darkness until it cannot hold
-
its ground any longer. Hell doesn't fear attendance, it
-
fears authority. The church doesn't win by
-
gathering, it wins by governing. If the gates are still standing,
-
it's not because God is weak, it's because the church stopped
-
pushing. Breakthrough is not God
-
deciding, it's the church advancing.
-
What if I told you God has nothing else to decide about
-
your life? What?
-
Watch this. God's not thinking about your
-
future. He planned it.
-
What are you talking about there?
-
There's nothing for him to think of.
-
He's not worried about your future.
-
There's an expected end. If you don't reach somewhere
-
He's called you to reach, That's on you, not him.
-
Watch this. That's on you, not the devil.
-
The devil's not that powerful to keep you out of God's promised
-
land. We read it over and over in the
-
Bible how much the enemy tried. He tried to stop the Angel from
-
delivering to Daniel and that. And the Angel comes and says,
-
Daniel, I'm glad you did not stop.
-
What praying? I heard you on the first day,
-
but you kept praying. You did not stop heard you on
-
the first day, but there was some principalities that was in
-
the way warring because the enemy knows that when the
-
blessing comes, it changes everything.
-
I just need a few people. You know what here's here's we
-
going to show our hunger tonight.
-
Church is over. It's over.
-
We're going to show our hunger tonight.
-
Yeah. Why you end like that?
-
Ain't you supposed to end on top and excited and lead the people?
-
What? We're going to finish tonight.
-
There's a call tonight for those that really want their prayer
-
life to push through to the next dimension.
-
And you know, you know, you need prayer.
-
You know, you need to know how to pray.
-
Learn how to pray. You know, you need power in your
-
life. There's a call tonight.
-
We're going to pray. We're going to worship.
-
Watch this. I believe the message about
-
friends goes well together with prayer activation.
-
Some of y'all don't pray because you got friends that don't pray
-
watch this. Some of y'all don't pray because
-
you got a spouse that don't pray.
-
When I, when I see my wife walking around, are you like
-
she'll, she'll, she'll take, she'll, she'll take Malachi to
-
work up to school at 6:00 in the morning, 5:30 in the morning.
-
And she's like, that's my prayer time on the drive.
-
And then she'll come or she'll come sometime and put her head
-
on the back hand on the back of my head.
-
And she'll be no, no, no, no, no, no.
-
She'll be praying in the middle of the night.
-
She'll be praying. Or if she can't sleep or if I
-
can't sleep, she'll put her hand on my back.
-
She'll be praying, she'll turn on some worship music.
-
Ain't nothing like having a spouse that got a prayer life.
-
Yeah, some of y'all don't pray because your your spouse don't
-
pray. And if you and your spouse don't
-
pray, guess who else don't pray? Your kids.
-
I love it. My Mama called Micah the other
-
day. She said where my prayer partner
-
at? Because when she was here and
-
Micah prayed with her, she's like, that's my prayer partner
-
right there. And they promised to pray
-
together at least once a month. She's still waiting on him to
-
call her, but that's OK now. But she did, she did.
-
And they talked the other day. And you know, I, I, I believe, I
-
believe, I believe you bring your kids too, because I believe
-
kids can start watch this. They, they prayers might get to
-
heaven quicker than yours. You got to teach your kids how
-
to pray. They're going to keep it pure.
-
They're going to keep it simple, straight to the point.
-
If family matters, then prayer has to matter.
-
And for me, I even repent because my grandmother had
-
family prayer all the time. And my family and I, we pray a
-
lot to get, we pray randomly like this is not a matter, I
-
hope you hear me clearly. I'm not saying our family, we
-
pray a lot together, but it's just, I just feel there's a
-
difference between we pray because we should versus we got
-
a burden to pray. There can't be real authentic
-
fervor without authentic burden, because he's not asking us to
-
pray an emotional prayer. And This is why we worship is
-
because we're stirring up our faith and we're praying from a
-
stirred up self. This is why your heavenly prayer
-
language is so powerful. Because before you pray one word
-
in your language, you pray in your heavenly prayer language.
-
Stir yourself up, and then you pray in the Spirit.
-
Watch this. And praying in the Spirit is not
-
just praying in tongues. Praying in the spirit is giving
-
your tongue to what the what heaven is saying in the spirit
-
realm. So tonight we start in prayer at
-
six. We're going to pray, we're going
-
to worship, we're going to pray, get his word.
-
Watch this. And I believe some people have
-
been in some some bad relationships.
-
I don't know about you, but you've been in some bad
-
relationships. Watch this guy's domestic
-
biological workspace. You've been you've been hurt,
-
you've been abused, you've been mistreated.
-
You've been overlooked, and I believe God wants to heal us
-
from relational scars, but first we got to identify and repent
-
for where we've allowed and been sloppy with the management of
-
our soul. And so tonight at 6:00, we'll be
-
here. Everybody ever heard that you
-
can give at church? Like give finances at church,
-
OK, Amen. If you want to give, you can
-
give us an opportunity for you. We're not going to compel you.
-
We're not going to beg you. We, we, we, we, we, we giving
-
this for all of us. It's an opportunity.
-
It's more better to give than it is to receive.
-
And God takes pride in a cheerful giver.
-
Anybody know that your church does things sometime, right?
-
Anybody know your church got an Instagram page or we got a
-
homecoming? We got a little booth back there
-
and people talk at the booth. OK.
-
If you want to know what's happening that's coming up, if
-
you really care, go to our Instagram, go to the booth and
-
ask how many people. Ever heard of Easter?
-
We we going to have an Easter serve.
-
We don't need to come on Easter's.
-
We going to have Good Friday, too.
-
OK, Good Friday is yeah. Good Friday is happening at 11
-
AM, 11 AM, OK. And then you get it over with
-
and then go on about your day, OK.
-
It's going to be a good time we have planned for you, but I just
-
want to own fire church. We're going to give you
-
announcements. We going, we going, we going, we
-
going to do some things, but you might see some things that we we
-
we have traditionally done. You might see them pause for a
-
minute because I'm feeling the Lord challenging me to lay the
-
ark down at Obed Edom's house until he gives us further
-
instructions. There's some stuff nowhere we
-
get in the habit of doing and it's like, why are we still
-
doing? They don't even they don't even
-
like the first time attendee song.
-
No more like the people be singing it and then and it's
-
just like you just so familiar. OK, people don't want to come to
-
prayer. Well, let's stop offering prayer
-
like people are serving you and God is extending opportunities
-
for you and like the woman with the issue of blood, you try
-
everything else except what your church home is offering you.
-
You're not just coming to prayer to learn how to pray for the
-
church. You coming to prayer to learn
-
how to pray for your own house. So tonight, what time what we
-
going to start off doing Hallelujah and I'm going to
-
leave on this babe my wife. Hey, hey, anybody that didn't
-
know I got a wife and my wife is here and the Calgary season.
-
You come up for a second like people don't understand I was
-
explaining this mighty, I was explaining this earlier.
-
People don't understand the day that my wife and I had to
-
separate and so you know, I'm not, she's not up here because
-
we got remarried. Like we didn't break up or
-
nothing like this, but separate houses because she was in
-
Calgary with our son Malachi. And that was almost 2 years.
-
I was 2024. We've traveled more than we ever
-
have. We've had to be without each
-
other more than we ever have. And a lot of people did not
-
understand that. The time that we did that, that
-
was your time to start praying for us, not criticizing what the
-
enemy was trying to do. Because you'll never understand
-
when a marriage is asked to go this way for God's purposes, how
-
vulnerable that season is. But we counted the cost and
-
understood what it would be like for her not to be here.
-
Watch this, guys. It is as important for her to be
-
here as it is for me to be here. Yeah.
-
So because she'll tell you in a minute, she didn't ask for all
-
this. She did.
-
She did not ask for all this. But she loved y'all and she wore
-
for y'all and you got anything you what we up here for is
-
because we not going back what we will.
-
But Calgary, the assignment is done.
-
Thank you. I was telling the worship team
-
in the back in the first service, if you guys were here,
-
you guys all got to see me cry, boohoo, crying everywhere.
-
I even snorted, which was super cute, but whatever.
-
So I was ugly crying on stage, but I was just saying what I was
-
telling the team in the back was I wasn't.
-
I wanted to tell everyone I wasn't crying out of sadness
-
that all day I've been super weepy.
-
And here I go again, super weepy and super thankful because it's
-
over. Like it's finished and you know,
-
you have to power through certain seasons and you just do
-
it. Like whatever you have to do,
-
you just do it. Well, some people do, some
-
people complain the whole time. But for me, how I was raised as
-
you just make it happen. And so we made it happen and it
-
was a super fruitful, amazing, incredible season in Calgary.
-
And actually everything that we went to accomplish there, we
-
accomplished and we left Calgary better.
-
So I'm super, super thankful. I'm thankful for the
-
opportunity. I'm thankful for your prayers.
-
But it's over now and I just feel myself just releasing that.
-
And I'm thankful to be back in the house.
-
And I'm thankful to see all of your beautiful faces.
-
And I'm thankful every opportunity I get to be here in
-
person because that does matter. And it's, and now it's another
-
new season. And so I'm super thankful and
-
grateful to be back in the house.
-
And I'm glad I don't have to overeat as much.
-
It was an expensive season. So This is why I tell you guys,
-
you, you don't when you come here saying I don't have
-
capacity to do this and do that. You got capacity for everything
-
God's calling you to do. You just got to make sure is
-
what he's called you to do And and, and for for Malachi.
-
I don't I don't know for a young man to uproot like our kids
-
really love y'all and for them to uproot a lot of great lessons
-
there. And now he's in Calgary and
-
we're going to go see him in Toronto Wednesday as we are
-
going. We need three games to win a
-
national championship and we lost in the championship last
-
year's and we stayed because we want to get back.
-
And all you guys support Emerson, Maya, JT, all you guys
-
that have played a part in our children's life, like we're
-
super grateful. This is not an easy thing.
-
I think you forget because we're such a loving family.
-
You forget we're not from here. We're not permanent resident.
-
We're not like we're, this is not our home in that way, but it
-
is our home. And so everybody's contribution
-
has, has really blessed us. And I hate that we haven't been
-
around as much. We've been present, we've been
-
here, but we have never thought about traveling as much as we
-
have. And being on the road has caused
-
questions and things within because when I'm with them, I'm
-
like, God, am I supposed to be here?
-
And when I'm here, I'm like, God, am I supposed to be there?
-
And then God's just like, man, I got it all.
-
Release it. And so we're going to go finish.
-
I am letting you know this. I thought about it that I need
-
to tell you this. I will not be here for Easter,
-
OK? This is to be the first Easter I
-
have ever missed in my life. Weird, but it was just two weeks
-
ago we found out that our son through your prayers, your
-
contribution, Emerson, JT, anybody that's been cheering,
-
coming to a Love Quest game, that our son out of 24 hundreds
-
of players, 24 was picked to be on the all Canadian basketball
-
team. So there's been some discipline
-
there and and what you don't understand is this mom out there
-
cooking them meals and he think he the Prince out there.
-
He like where are my eggs and my ground beef and my rice at and
-
where did and it's funny because when I go out there and visit,
-
he happy I'm there JT but he looking at me like, bro, this is
-
my crib and then now I'm there PJ, you know she she serves me
-
food and he's sitting there like where I'm like, bro, when I'm
-
here it's different like she I'm I'm 1st and so we pray for us as
-
we go. I will be leaving you in good
-
hands with the game is sorry. I'm not just missing Easter
-
because of the all the Canadian game.
-
It's a big, big deal, like it's a big deal.
-
It's it's a big deal. The game is on Easter.
-
So do I be here for Easter or do I be a part of this one in a
-
lifetime opportunity? I don't care if you didn't
-
agree, I'm going now. I'm just playing up this way.
-
I'll just way, but that's why I'm letting you know and I I
-
feel like it's important that I communicate that I don't, I
-
don't have to tell you every time I'm not going to be here,
-
but I feel like that's important.
-
Elder Brett, I'm giving y'all assignments now.
-
Elder Brett and Elder John will split the messages between 9:00
-
and 12:00 on the Easter. And I know you guys are holding
-
down. Here's your title.
-
What a friend we have in Jesus. That's your Easter message
-
title. And then tonight, we're going to
-
talk about friends. And so you'll get a little,
-
little something, something, something.
-
OK. Yeah.
-
And then Good Friday, we have a powerful time of testimonies and
-
reflecting. And Elder Brett will be bringing
-
a little message there. Not little, but you get what I'm
-
saying. All right, stand to your feet.
-
I'm not going to close. I just challenge you to stay in
-
the posture of gratitude and prayer today as we go eat and
-
rest and then we'll get back here at 6:00, man, you know, you
-
know what this song reminding me of?
-
Can I just sing? Sing not can I?
-
Can we sing? What?
-
What key is this? Give it to me in Zed.
-

-
