[SPEAKER_00]: But we're going to go to first Timothy and chapter number two, those who are visiting tonight or have not been here last week, we're not here last week, we started a new series on Wednesday on the subject of Calvinism.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like the question is, does he love me or doesn't he love me?

[SPEAKER_00]: There are some out there that actually think that God determined selectively

[SPEAKER_00]: randomly maybe even to say I love you.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't love you.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to hell.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to have it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like you.

[SPEAKER_00]: You're gone.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so there are a few verses that they will use to try to show this this doctrine.

[SPEAKER_00]: And as I wanted to share with you this, I had no idea how

[SPEAKER_00]: Meaningful this was to a lot of people in our church.

[SPEAKER_00]: I had no idea that so many A did not really have a grasp on what Calvinism was.

[SPEAKER_00]: And secondly,

[SPEAKER_00]: how it was going to influence ministries had a young guy in my office this afternoon who was talking to a friend of his in Canada and they asked what what are you going over and he said well we're going over Calvinism just started it and she said oh I'm a Calvinist

[SPEAKER_00]: and went through the whole process and so for an entire week he's been back and forth talking and sharing verses with peace like preacher get to the end man I need I need to get my barrels loaded you know so I can share what we we believe and where we're coming from with this subject the question is does doctrine count is it important does it change things

[SPEAKER_00]: One of the quotes that I'll give you of this young lady was, it does really matter if we read the Bible or not.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the Christian at this end said, what?

[SPEAKER_00]: And the philosophy changes so much that you can pick and choose because it doesn't matter if you're in your Bible or not, because of God's predestinated it to happen, it doesn't matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing matters.

[SPEAKER_00]: These don't have to pray for law souls, because if they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they're going to happen, they

[SPEAKER_00]: In other words, you don't have to preach the gospel because that doesn't matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you say, where do they come up with this stuff?

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: But there's a lot of people that believe it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm saying, in our camps, drive me nuts.

[SPEAKER_00]: If it doesn't matter, then if God is selected, why would there even be a judgment then?

[SPEAKER_00]: because God already knows that they didn't do anything to for it, choose it, so what's a reason for even a judgment?

[SPEAKER_00]: Why would you bring them before God if their works are only based on what God made them do anyways?

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it affects everything to the very end.

[SPEAKER_00]: I believe we're accountable for our God.

[SPEAKER_00]: For our actions and reactions, I'll take that at the end.

[SPEAKER_00]: I'll take that at the end.

[SPEAKER_00]: First Timothy, chapter two, neat verse.

[SPEAKER_00]: In the area of prayer, I exhort there for first of all.

[SPEAKER_00]: So this is something that's a preeminence.

[SPEAKER_00]: Put it first in your life in the area of prayers.

[SPEAKER_00]: He says, supplications, that's providing God's providing and you're begging for the general prayers, the intercessions, the interceding for other people, even the giving of thanks, which is part of prayer, be made for all men.

[SPEAKER_00]: Notice this, four kings, for all that are an authority that we may lead a quiet, peaceful life, and all godliness and honesty.

[SPEAKER_00]: What a verse for the day.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we see the chaos that is going on in our world isn't it, convicting to ask ourselves as Christians, one was the last time we prayed for our president.

[SPEAKER_00]: For rice and others that are right there dealing with the issues of the day.

[SPEAKER_00]: And God says, you want to lead a peaceful and a quiet life, you want to just be able to live for God, and pray for leadership.

[SPEAKER_00]: Prayer changes things.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if prayer didn't change things, if God had it all figured out, why would we even pray?

[SPEAKER_00]: Now I'm going to take you step further.

[SPEAKER_00]: I really believe this.

[SPEAKER_00]: that I, you know, there are those that do not believe that the mind of God can be changed as a result of prayer.

[SPEAKER_00]: There are some that believe that.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, because if not, then why did Abraham pray for lots?

[SPEAKER_00]: Why did he even intercede for him at all?

[SPEAKER_00]: If prayer does not change the mind of God in certain issues.

[SPEAKER_00]: Think of the catastrophes that God was about to do said I'm gonna wipe Israel out, and maybe I'm gonna start with you a brand new people.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he intercedes again, says, God, you don't want to do that because the nation is out of matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I'd say, see, that God's a bad God, don't want to trust in him.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they're going to blaspheme God as a result of that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Intercession changes the mind of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And there are times that in our prayers, we must understand that, and that God is going to probably move in a powerful way to change things as a result of prayer pleading for others.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why do we pray for Christ's sinning?

[SPEAKER_00]: She's battling cancer.

[SPEAKER_00]: If we did not think the prayer was going to change why bother than folks?

[SPEAKER_00]: We went God to move, it's a result of prayer.

[SPEAKER_00]: But let me tell you what the safe haven is.

[SPEAKER_00]: The safe haven for us as Christians is, but I will be done.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because then we're coming in saying, we God, you know what's best.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where the conformity to the will of God changes us.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because then we submit to the very will of God if the Lord decides to take her home this week, God is good.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if he keeps her around for another 20 years, God is still good.

[SPEAKER_00]: No matter what, he is right.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we're praying.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now notice what we're praying for is starting verse three.

[SPEAKER_00]: For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God, our Savior.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's gonna bring salvation in.

[SPEAKER_00]: You'll notice, God doesn't just throw words in the Bible, it's to throw words in to fill in the pages.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason he uses God and Savior together within this text of prayer.

[SPEAKER_00]: So he says, start praying.

[SPEAKER_00]: He says, that's good in my sight.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's acceptable in my sight because God is Savior.

[SPEAKER_00]: who will, that is God the Savior, will have what's the next word?

[SPEAKER_00]: All, it does not say some, it does not say those whom he elected, those who were foreordained, those whom he predestinated in the subject of salvation right here.

[SPEAKER_00]: He says the prayer is to God the Savior who desires a pleasing desire is the translation.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's a well-pleasing desire in God's sight to have all men to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: God wants zero people in hell.

[SPEAKER_00]: God wants everyone in heaven, and if not, why did He send Jesus?

[SPEAKER_00]: And if He picked and chose who went to heaven, why did He send Jesus?

[SPEAKER_00]: If there wasn't a choice factor, if there was no will of man, if there is no free will, then why the gospel and why the great commission?

[SPEAKER_00]: Why did Jesus say, go, teach all nations, baptizing them in a name of the Father and Son, and Holy Ghost.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why was there ever a great commission if there was no choice?

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: And the Book of Acts were men sent out, going into the synagogue, putting themselves in harm's way just to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ if it didn't matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: The reason it does matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now notice this, so he will have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.

[SPEAKER_00]: We know what truth is.

[SPEAKER_00]: John 17, by word is truth.

[SPEAKER_00]: John 14,

[SPEAKER_00]: I am the way the truth and life.

[SPEAKER_00]: So our Savior is truth.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Word of God is truth.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Word reveals who Christ is, especially in the gospel of John, who is Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's the great I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we see the truth.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now notice, there is one God and one mediator between God and men.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's the man Christ Jesus.

[SPEAKER_00]: So in this text, he's still deal with salvation.

[SPEAKER_00]: Christ, the saving mediator.

[SPEAKER_00]: between God, the righteous, man, the sinner, reconciling, the second Corinthians five describes, reconciling man back to God has given you and the word of reconciliation and the ministry of reconciliation so that we can go share the gospel verbally and with our witness so that man understands the truth

[SPEAKER_00]: And so therefore the Word of God has shared the result faith comes by hearing hearing by the, okay, now those verse six, who gave himself, okay, who's the who in that text?

[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus, Jesus gave himself a ransom for the elect.

[SPEAKER_00]: No, it is just a general word all.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the deep Greek meaning of the word all is all.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's no changing it, folks.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is everybody, OK?

[SPEAKER_00]: Who gave himself a ransom for all to be testified just the right time.

[SPEAKER_00]: The dunes of time, he testified in just the due time, then it goes on, talks about the matter of ordinations and of preachers and apostles.

[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, that's to be sent out and to preach, et cetera.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now.

[SPEAKER_00]: The question that many have is, does God love me or does He love me not?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because if I'm not one of the electing God doesn't love me and there's no chance for me and that's what we're going to talk about tonight.

[SPEAKER_00]: The two-lept theory, T-U-L-I-P.

[SPEAKER_00]: five simple little letters and what they do in the classic way is give those t u li p's with different meanings.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now some on the t do use a different word I use a word total depravity of man and some use the total inability of man and what they're trying to say is is is impossible for those who are sinners to be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: and we'll describe that in a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm just giving you the outline of the next week.

[SPEAKER_00]: You means the unconditional election.

[SPEAKER_00]: So this election of God or selection, if you will, that he chooses individuals is not on a condition based on the individual's race, wealth or lack of, as nothing to do with mankind's works whatsoever.

[SPEAKER_00]: That before they were born, God says, you're in.

[SPEAKER_00]: or sorry, you're not in.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's the unconditional action.

[SPEAKER_00]: The L is the limited atonement that is that Jesus died only for the elect.

[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't die for the whole world.

[SPEAKER_00]: He just died for those who would eventually, or that were selected by God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, as you saw in this text, the word ransom has the meaning of purchasing

[SPEAKER_00]: taken care of a price so that they could be brought in.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the ransom was the blood of Jesus Christ, who gave his blood to redeem to ransom us.

[SPEAKER_00]: The eye is the irresistible grace.

[SPEAKER_00]: Can't wait to get to this one.

[SPEAKER_00]: I like this one.

[SPEAKER_00]: irresistible grace means you have no possible way to say no.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you are chosen, if you are one of the elect, you cannot resist that grace.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it's that light hitting Paul on the Damascus Road.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he had no choice in a matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: What we have to do, there's a classic illustration, but we will show you in the scriptures, many who refused the gospel.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was a choice, and they're saying, can't.

[SPEAKER_00]: If you're chosen, beer in, you can't make a choice in a, all right, you don't have to make a choice in a, you're in.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's irresponsible.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then the P is a perseverance of the saints.

[SPEAKER_00]: Interessing that perseverance is something earned work for and you're continuing on.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's actually goes against what they're saying.

[SPEAKER_00]: And yet what they're trying to say with this point is those who are the elect will never fall away.

[SPEAKER_00]: They will persevere.

[SPEAKER_00]: But what's ironic about this is those who say you don't do anything for it are now saying and using a word persevere is what you do.

[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that interesting?

[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to talk about these.

[SPEAKER_00]: What's that?

[SPEAKER_00]: There are just a few things, yes, there are.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll talk about this.

[SPEAKER_00]: Total deprav, here's your definition.

[SPEAKER_00]: By total inability or depravity, Calvin meant that a lost sinner cannot come to Jesus Christ and trust him as Savior.

[SPEAKER_00]: Unless he is for ordained to come to Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want you to highlight tonight, the word for ordained.

[SPEAKER_00]: by total inability, he meant that no man has the ability to come to Christ unless God overpowers him and gives him that ability, he will never come to Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Deeper definition.

[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, this is a long one.

[SPEAKER_00]: I know I'm not supposed to put long things up here, but this was so good I had, you can just, you know, read along with me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's another way one's man summarized Calvinism in summary.

[SPEAKER_00]: Selective salvation is the belief.

[SPEAKER_00]: God has chosen to send certain people to heaven and the remainder to hell.

[SPEAKER_00]: And this selection, which was made long before the universe was created,

[SPEAKER_00]: was not based on any qualities of the person being selected.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was not based on the person's heart, or their future love for God.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was not based on God's foreknowledge of who will eventually choose to accept Him as their Savior.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was not based on their future humility and repentance.

[SPEAKER_00]: This selection was purely random arbitrary.

[SPEAKER_00]: the people selected to go to hell such as Hitler could just as easily have been selected to go to heaven.

[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody has a say in the matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: The person selected to go to hell literally has no hope.

[SPEAKER_00]: Although he may desire to go to heaven and is seeking deliverance, he has no chance of salvation.

[SPEAKER_00]: Even the person selected to go to heaven has no say in the matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: He is forced

[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, I crack up sometimes when I read this stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: So this belief system is called Calvinism, Reform Theology, Election Pre-Destination, or Selective Salvation, call it what you will.

[SPEAKER_00]: There's a whole bunch of them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Was that?

[SPEAKER_00]: Roboticism, that's it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Roboticism, I like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.

[SPEAKER_00]: Within this whole section, the person selected to go to heaven has no say in a matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's forced to love.

[SPEAKER_00]: These type of principles will see we're going to look about the seeking.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have a lot to cover through all of this, but we wanted to give you this.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, do you need me to keep this up here for a minute?

[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's okay to move on?

[SPEAKER_00]: I want to talk tonight about this subject of the four knowledge of God or four known of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now this is a critical word that is used by the Calvinists to say, God knew who he was going to have go to heaven or hell before they were even born before the creation before the world ever began.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, what I did was I looked up the word foreknown for new, any derivative of that, but I took you a little step further, you'll see that there are numbers beside certain words.

[SPEAKER_00]: That number is the strongs exhaustive concordance number, showing that the every time the Greek word for foreno or for new,

[SPEAKER_00]: is there.

[SPEAKER_00]: Every time is right here.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay?

[SPEAKER_00]: So let's look at him quickly.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now what we're looking for is that God for new who is going to heaven?

[SPEAKER_00]: God for new who is going to hell?

[SPEAKER_00]: God for new that he is going to select, choose certain people for that destination.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's look at him.

[SPEAKER_00]: The first one, Acts 26, we need to go to the text.

[SPEAKER_00]: So please follow along.

[SPEAKER_00]: Acts 26 and verse number five.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, to show this text, Paul is before a grippa.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he is basically showing him his life where he came from, we can pick up in verse number three, especially because I know thee to be expert in all the customs and questions were among the Jews.

[SPEAKER_00]: Wherefore, I besiege you to hear me patiently.

[SPEAKER_00]: my manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among my own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now notice this which knew me from the beginning.

[SPEAKER_00]: if they would testify that after the most straightest sect of our religion, I lived a Pharisee.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now the word there, which new, is the same word for, for knowledge.

[SPEAKER_00]: We use an individual that is predicting the weather as a

[SPEAKER_00]: four-caster, and there's another word for it, prognosticator, somebody that explains something that's going to happen before, pro, before, and that's the exact same word in the Greek.

[SPEAKER_00]: So it's where we get our derivative, prognosticator, somebody that talks about something before it actually happens.

[SPEAKER_00]: So in this text, does this tell us that God for new who is going to be saved or go to

[SPEAKER_00]: Does this text teach that at all?

[SPEAKER_00]: What it tells us is there were guys that new Paul before.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's go to the next one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let me bypass and go down to the first Peters.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go to those and then we'll back up.

[SPEAKER_00]: First Peter 120.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to pick up in verse number 17 in this text.

[SPEAKER_00]: First Peter, one, 17.

[SPEAKER_00]: And if you call on the father who without respect of persons, I want you to highlight that because we're going to look at the subject of respect of persons.

[SPEAKER_00]: Judges, according to every man's work, past the time of our so-journing here in fear, for as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold from your vain conversations received by traditions of your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

[SPEAKER_00]: Who, verily, for or daint, before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, does this verse tell you that you and I have no idea whether we're going to have in her hell?

[SPEAKER_00]: Does it tell you and I whether we are lost or saved based on God?

[SPEAKER_00]: For knowing whom he would choose, the answer is no.

[SPEAKER_00]: So what does the word for ordained here or for no excuse me?

[SPEAKER_00]: Talking about, well, in verses 18 and 19, he's talking about whom.

[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus Christ, that's right.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Redeemer, the Redeemer in verse number 20, Jesus, Verily was four or Damed before the foundational world.

[SPEAKER_00]: Remind you of Revelation, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

[SPEAKER_00]: The plan, now this is gonna help you a lot.

[SPEAKER_00]: For some reason, some people think that God wings it,

[SPEAKER_00]: We don't know, you know, we're going to, I wonder if man's going to fall, I don't know if he's going to fall, what are we going to, I just don't know what's, what, what, okay, let's do it this way, Jesus, I don't know, maybe I do it this way, father, you know, they didn't have to debate about this whole thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: From the very foundation of the world, God said, Jesus, you are going to die.

[SPEAKER_00]: God planned salvation through Jesus Christ, and it was something that was pre-planned, prognosticated before it ever started.

[SPEAKER_00]: So the plan of salvation didn't come about in about 2000 years ago when Jesus died on the cross.

[SPEAKER_00]: God knew the whole thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't winging it.

[SPEAKER_00]: He knew what he was doing.

[SPEAKER_00]: With this whole thing, I got a little time here, take a minute, one of the biggest things that we have to look at with this whole subject of the entire word of God and how it crescends through out history is that in Genesis 2, when God makes a man, he makes woman, puts him in the garden, gives him a job,

[SPEAKER_00]: And so here we are, we're learning about nature, we're seeing God's miracles, your plant, and you're seeing growth and reproduction, and that's God's way of living.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what life's about.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so we're going through, and he says, but there is something that is here that is a negative.

[SPEAKER_00]: I have a tree in the middle of the garden that is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, man didn't put it, their God did.

[SPEAKER_00]: So he pops this tree in the middle of the garden.

[SPEAKER_00]: May I ask you a question?

[SPEAKER_00]: Why?

[SPEAKER_00]: Boy it went a lot easier if he wouldn't have.

[SPEAKER_00]: True?

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, and he just don't put it in God, cause you know what man's gonna do.

[SPEAKER_00]: And you already, you know, we're looking back and we're saying, yeah, and you were ahead planned how you're going to get man out of this whole fix that he got himself into.

[SPEAKER_00]: So we've put the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in there because God gave them a thank you to will and man chose wrong.

[SPEAKER_00]: God didn't force them to sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: They chose willfully.

[SPEAKER_00]: Man, after he fell, didn't say, oh Lord, Lord, where are you Lord?

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh Lord, we fell, and we sinned, and now we're naked, and I'm so sorry I did this.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's not how it worked, was it?

[SPEAKER_00]: Matter of fact, man did what?

[SPEAKER_00]: Ran in himself, so and leaves around himself because he was embarrassed because now he has a knowledge of good and evil.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let me think, wasn't it God that sought after man?

[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, follow me, I say this a lot and I'll say it again.

[SPEAKER_00]: The most important book for you to ever understand is not the revelation.

[SPEAKER_00]: The most important book for you to understand is a book of Genesis because you're going to see the pattern of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: and how he works.

[SPEAKER_00]: Man by nature as a sinner does not seek after God.

[SPEAKER_00]: God seeks after man.

[SPEAKER_00]: No man comes to the Father by nature.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Father draws that person through his call, through the preacher, through the musician, through the radio, through some means to be able to give them the word of God so that they can hear, faith then is instilled in that person

[SPEAKER_00]: Faith comes by hearing the Word of God and then belief calling on the Lord in salvation.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, no, it's a really easy process.

[SPEAKER_00]: But man can say, hmm, don't want it.

[SPEAKER_00]: I like it just the way I am.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's man's choice.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so, as a robotic philosophy would say, that they didn't have a choice in the matter.

[SPEAKER_00]: God just made them do it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Stand up, sit down, do this, do that.

[SPEAKER_00]: What glory is in that for God, but God is glorified when you and I choose righteousness.

[SPEAKER_00]: God is glorified when we choose Him.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's why Satan, on the mix of all of this, tries to get man to choose him, to choose idolatry rather than one true living God.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that's where man, by nature, honors and glorifies Satan.

[SPEAKER_00]: And therefore, we'll go to the same destiny that he is going.

[SPEAKER_00]: So God, in the mix of all of this is,

[SPEAKER_00]: is placing himself in the way, seeking after the sinner, calling Adam, Adam, it's as though he's saying to the world to the world, because first Corinthians, in Adam all die, but in the second Adam all are made alive.

[SPEAKER_00]: So God is calling out to the world to bring them to righteousness

[SPEAKER_00]: He gives a curse and then grace comes by spelling them from the garden.

[SPEAKER_00]: puts the cherubs about so that it could never come in and eat of the tree of life because they would have lived here as sinners for eternity.

[SPEAKER_00]: God didn't want that.

[SPEAKER_00]: He shows grace.

[SPEAKER_00]: It says, I got something better for you.

[SPEAKER_00]: I want to get you into heaven where you don't have pain and you don't have agony.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to get you to go to heaven and start to stay here because the bill was up to us folks.

[SPEAKER_00]: We'd stay here for eternity.

[SPEAKER_00]: We'd love it here.

[SPEAKER_00]: We just love it here.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're doing everything we can.

[SPEAKER_00]: We take pills, we take this, we take that, just to stay here as long as we possibly can.

[SPEAKER_00]: We fight the system.

[SPEAKER_00]: But no, what?

[SPEAKER_00]: Death still wins, except in Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, great, where is your sting?

[SPEAKER_00]: Where is the victory?

[SPEAKER_00]: Where is it?

[SPEAKER_00]: We have the victory through Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we're not getting very far.

[SPEAKER_00]: So that text doesn't tell you that God for ordained certain people to go to hell, or to heaven.

[SPEAKER_00]: Look at the second Peter, 3, 17.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is a simple one, we'll be able to hit this one very quick.

[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 16, I'm sorry, let me back up just a little bit.

[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 15, account that the long suffering of our Lord is salvation, even as our beloved brother Paul, also according to the wisdom given unto him that has written to you and also in all his epistles speaking.

[SPEAKER_00]: In them of these things that's talked about the long suffering, the salvation of God, in which you are some things hard to understand Which they that are unlearned and unstable Rast or twist and misconstrued and they do also the other scriptures under their own destruction interesting How man would take the Bible and make it say whatever he wants to

[SPEAKER_00]: And then he says verse 17, you therefore beloved, seeing you know, or there it is, for ordained, you know beforehand these things before beware less you also be led in a way with the error of the wicked fall from your own steadfastness.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's saying to you and I, folks, we ought to know things beforehand because God talked to us about it in the word.

[SPEAKER_00]: And don't let somebody twist the Scriptures to confuse you in the errors of their sin.

[SPEAKER_00]: Classic.

[SPEAKER_00]: Classic.

[SPEAKER_00]: I just sensed some about their $10,000 in your bank.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I know that you need to give it to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, it sounds good, and no doubt the crowd that he's talking to, somebody probably has about $10,000 in their bank.

[SPEAKER_00]: And they're going through, he must be talking to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: And the people that have $12,000 in must be the same way and talking to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and you're twisting all of these things in its for game.

[SPEAKER_00]: It's for lust, it's for them.

[SPEAKER_00]: The folks, if you don't know by now, the descriptors do not teach those kind of philosophies and don't forget that the love of money is still the, it didn't say money, thought about the love of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so guys trying to say, listen, you know beforehand because you have been in the word, the teachings by the Apostle Paul through these epistles who some people take and twist

[SPEAKER_00]: You know ahead of time, don't do it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Guess what God never said here?

[SPEAKER_00]: God never said he has foreordained certain people to hell, certain people to heaven.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's see if we can do one more here.

[SPEAKER_00]: 11, chapter 11 of Romans.

[SPEAKER_00]: And again, this is an exhaustive study on the word.

[SPEAKER_00]: You would think that by now, with all of these were out of five verses, we ought to be hitting salvation by now, you would think.

[SPEAKER_00]: If it's such an important and powerful doctrine throughout the Scriptures, Romans 11.

[SPEAKER_00]: He verse number one, we pick up here.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, those of you who have gone through D2 and all that know that when you deal with Roman chapters eight, I'm sorry, 91011, you're dealing with the past of

[SPEAKER_00]: And chapter 10 is the present time.

[SPEAKER_00]: Chapter 11 is the future of Israel.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so he, in this Texas saying, has God cast away his people.

[SPEAKER_00]: His people talking about Israel.

[SPEAKER_00]: In this Texas, he's not talking about you and I, the Christians.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's talking about the nation of Israel who in Acts went, when they heard the gospel, they said, there is no way.

[SPEAKER_00]: Then anybody can know they have eternal life.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so Paul says, fine, if you don't want it, we're going to go to the Gentiles and the Gentiles say, ha, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la

[SPEAKER_00]: God forbid for I also am an Israelite of the seat of Abraham of the tribe of Benjamin and he had it right down to me.

[SPEAKER_00]: God isn't done with Israel in this text.

[SPEAKER_00]: He goes on and talks about God always has had a remnant and will always have a remnant.

[SPEAKER_00]: Verse

[SPEAKER_00]: the nation of Israel, he knew, chose, matter of fact, was God's surprise when Isaac has Jacob, and Jacob has ironically 12 sons, and then he's, hey, why don't we use these 12?

[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll make a nation out of these guys.

[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's like, God didn't know this stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, God knew this because in Genesis chapter number where, anybody know, or we're heading to, Genesis chapter number 12, way before, way before those other patriarchs, God took a man whose name was Abraham and said, Abraham, I'm going to make of you a great nation.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are going to be a man and those who bless you will bless those who curse you will be cursed.

[SPEAKER_00]: You are going to be a nation and that was the promise of the nation of Israel for known by God before it happened.

[SPEAKER_00]: Is that hard?

[SPEAKER_00]: Did that say and by the way, I may love some people and I may hate some people and therefore I'm going to send them the hell or the ones I love to have and never says that in the text.

[SPEAKER_00]: And that these are the only texts on the four knowledge of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: We got one more.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do I have time?

[SPEAKER_00]: I do.

[SPEAKER_00]: Was that in pretty clear?

[SPEAKER_00]: You're okay with this one?

[SPEAKER_00]: So I can finish this section up.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans 8.

[SPEAKER_00]: We know this one.

[SPEAKER_00]: Just back a couple of pages.

[SPEAKER_00]: Romans 8.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now here's one of the classics.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're looking at verse 29, but we have to see verse a couple verses before that because this whole chapter is dealing with the work of the spirit of God inside of the life of the believer.

[SPEAKER_00]: He, you know, he witnesses to us of verse 16, the we are the children of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: He is working in and leading us as many as we're led by the spirit.

[SPEAKER_00]: They are the sons of God, etc.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then verse 20, let's pick up verse 26.

[SPEAKER_00]: We talked about the Spirit in our prayer life.

[SPEAKER_00]: Likewise, the Spirit also helps our infirmities, weaknesses, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit, capital S, the Holy Spirit itself, make it the intercession for us with groanings, which cannot be uttered.

[SPEAKER_00]: He pleads on our behalf.

[SPEAKER_00]: Man, God is good.

[SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_00]: And then verse 27.

[SPEAKER_00]: And he searches the hearts, knows what is the mind of the Spirit because he make of the intercession for the saints, according to the will of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: The Spirit of God is never going to do something contrary to the Father and vice versa.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

[SPEAKER_00]: In his subject, we're dealing with prayer.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're dealing with a spear God inside of the life of whom, the lost or the already saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_00]: For whom he did for no, there it is.

[SPEAKER_00]: He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son that we might be the first born among many brethren.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want you to do this as, you know,

[SPEAKER_00]: For whom he did for no, goes as a clause, you'll see a comma after that.

[SPEAKER_00]: He did secondly also to predestinate.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, both of these go along with the next phrase.

[SPEAKER_00]: And it's not just the predetermined to be conformed to the image, but God planned ahead of time that you and I as Christians would be fore planned to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: God had it all planned out as He sent Jesus to this earth to show us as an example what is a godly life,

[SPEAKER_00]: He says, this is Jesus and this is what you're supposed to act like.

[SPEAKER_00]: This is a pattern.

[SPEAKER_00]: So God begins to chisel away at our lives, change us to be conformed to the image of Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, we're to have the mind of Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: But if I can't believe he says, and we have the mind of Christ, you know why?

[SPEAKER_00]: We have the Word of God.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have everything that we need, according to Peter, we have the divine nature.

[SPEAKER_00]: We have everything that we need to live a godly life.

[SPEAKER_00]: So, now let's look at it.

[SPEAKER_00]: So whom he did for no pause, go down, to be conformed to the image of his son.

[SPEAKER_00]: All of that ties together that he might be, that is the child of God will be the first born, dealing with the inward part of man that we are made new among many brethren.

[SPEAKER_00]: Moreover, whom he did pre-determine or predestinate, them also he called, whom he called them.

[SPEAKER_00]: He justified, whom he justified, them he also glorified.

[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see that when we look at the subject of predestination because we have to do the exact same thing.

[SPEAKER_00]: with a look at every text.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, may I ask you a question?

[SPEAKER_00]: The distext tell you in the foreordaining that God pre-determined plan to head of time to send certain people to hell.

[SPEAKER_00]: Did he say in this text, he is going to send certain people to heaven?

[SPEAKER_00]: Then why did they say it?

[SPEAKER_00]: We just don't.

[SPEAKER_00]: With the entire list of foreordained.

[SPEAKER_00]: And this is what I'm talking about, folks, is time for us to start learning the Bible and stop listening to man.

[SPEAKER_00]: Man has all types of resources, ways of developing thoughts, to twist things to what they want.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I will say this over and over again.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why would man adopt

[SPEAKER_00]: This type of philosophy, outside of one thing, it takes the responsibility off of man.

[SPEAKER_00]: We are therefore not accountable to God for the lost.

[SPEAKER_00]: Because if God loves me, he doesn't love him, it doesn't matter where we're talking, we're not.

[SPEAKER_00]: We lean at the witness anymore.

[SPEAKER_00]: And we're not accountable to God for the lost.

[SPEAKER_00]: Boy, really like that.

[SPEAKER_00]: Those people that God was prompted me to go and sit down and talk to him about the Lord.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I said, no.

[SPEAKER_00]: And vice versa, those who I have had to opportunity to lead the Christ.

[SPEAKER_00]: And Acts, Patrick 20, Paul put it this way.

[SPEAKER_00]: I am pure of the blood of all men.

[SPEAKER_00]: Why would he say that to preachers, the Ephesian elders?

[SPEAKER_00]: if it didn't matter because what he is saying is I am accountable to the lost people that I am preaching to that I am pure or innocent undefiled of the blood of those individuals because I preach to them the gospel.

[SPEAKER_00]: Now, he never said in that text, and by the way, you know, I'm still accountable for those who didn't get say, he didn't say it.

[SPEAKER_00]: He's saying, all that my job is is to give the gospel.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is up to them the individual who hears the gospel, then to make a choice about what has been preached.

[SPEAKER_00]: And every time you teach a Sunday school class, every time we preach, every time we share the gospel, that is what our job is.

[SPEAKER_00]: And once we have done that, prayerfully, and with the witness in front of it, then we are innocent.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're pure.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I wish I could say as your pastor, I'm always pure of the blood of all men.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I can see some heads going, hmm, yeah, you and me both.

[SPEAKER_00]: there are people that I know that I was prompted to witness to and it wasn't convenient for me.

[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes God changes that whole dimension of life and shows me, guess what, you're witnessing to this guy, whether you want to or not, you know, you just, there was this guy, he was in the elevator to hospital.

[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, I'm trying to get my business in, get back to the office so I can study, you know, and so an elevator, there's this guy, I can smell him, man, she just walked in, just out all over his breath, you know?

[SPEAKER_00]: I think of that, you know, I'm like, good, you know, trying to get me out of here, buddy.

[SPEAKER_00]: And so sure enough, I get an elevator, and I don't know how I get bypassed, but the guy gets out of the hospital and gets him front of me by the time I get to my car.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm in my car and driving sure enough,

[SPEAKER_00]: same guy and right there is when the Lord says, pick him up, talk to this man.

[SPEAKER_00]: I love him.

[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Jesus loves this guy and I'm like, yeah, but I have spiritual things to do.

[SPEAKER_00]: I have to study the Bible so I can preach to the people because that's more important to preach to the multitudes rather than the individual.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's what's important.

[SPEAKER_00]: I got about two blocks and it's like, you know, just stabbing me and I'm under convictions like, okay, so I turn around and, um, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know, you know,

[SPEAKER_00]: As some tracks with me and picked the guy up and he was so appreciative and picked him up and went and shared the gospel with him and took him to his home, bite him out of the church.

[SPEAKER_00]: I doubt very much that he remembers me.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know that he does, but maybe later on he had those tracks that I gave him and maybe he sat down when he was sober and ran away.

[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe somebody else in the apartment with him picked a thing up and read it later on.

[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.

[SPEAKER_00]: All that I know is my job is to sow the seed so that they can hear the word by which they get faith by which they can believe and then be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: because faith comes by hearing, whose service a call point in the name of the Lord should be saved, books of stuff matters, the stuff matters, and God's working on all of this stuff.

[SPEAKER_00]: Here's some verses for you to write down.

[SPEAKER_00]: God does not respect people.

[SPEAKER_00]: You can see all of this in Acts 10.

[SPEAKER_00]: He chose the Gentiles.

[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to see these next week.

[SPEAKER_00]: We already looked at the 1st Timothy 2, the 2nd Peter 39, classic verse, God is not willing to any should perish John 3, 16, Romans chapter 3.

Romans 3 · chapter mention

[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to walk through that text and then we'll be done with the 1st point, which is the total property of men, because what we have to still develop.

[SPEAKER_00]: is this matter of God, not just for ordaining some, but what is the status of the sinner?

[SPEAKER_00]: Their idea is that the sinner is a sinner is lost.

[SPEAKER_00]: But there are certain people that are not sinners because God loves them and they're elect.

[SPEAKER_00]: How else can you get around it?

[SPEAKER_00]: Because if they're a sinner, they're depraved, they can't be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: So now they have to classify people, not everybody's a sinner, sinner, sinner.

[SPEAKER_00]: Some are sinner sinners, they can't be saved.

[SPEAKER_00]: And some are over here, they're elect, and they're getting in, they're not good, but God's grace is there and His hand it out to them.

[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah.
