[SPEAKER_00]: We've been going through a series on the subject of Calvinism, and we are at the beginning of it, starting with the first letter of what is known as the two-lip theory, we'll give you those descriptions in a moment, and the subject is either he loves me, or he loves me not.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And the Calvinism will say, either God loves you and you're elective going to heaven or God never loved you, can't love you, and therefore you're going to hell, and you don't have a choice in a matter.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, a hyper Calvinist will teach that T, the total depravity of man, is this, that if you are one of the depraved, you can't be saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Even if you hear the Bible, even if you hear, even if it's always praying for you, that doesn't matter because if you are totally prayed, depraved, you are totally depraved, you can't get to heaven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's no passage for you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And yet, if you are one of the elect, there again, it doesn't matter, whether you want to be saved or not, you're going to get saved, period.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's no choice in a matter for you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There is no will in salvation.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, either God loves you or He doesn't love you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If He loves you, you get to go in and you get a free pass and if He doesn't love you, you can't be there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't get to heaven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's their basis.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Let me actually go to the next one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I put them out of order.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The two-leaf theory we showed you this last week, those who have not seen the description to you, LIP, Crosstick, T, meaning the total and property of man, and that's the subject we're talking about.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, you, coming up, will be the unconditional election, L is the limited atoment, meaning that Jesus only died for those who would are the elect.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll talk about that one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I just shake my head once a while because I still can't not understand where this comes from, but it is man's reasoning.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I is the irresistible grace, meaning that if you are the elect, you can't say no.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's impossible for you to say no, because if you're the elect, you're going to be hit.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Smack, you can't resist it, so therefore, yes.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the P is the perseverance of the saints.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so these are the things that we're going to be looking at.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now let me go back to the total depravative man.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the T in the two-loop theory.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What this means is by total inability and some use inability, some use the word depravity.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I use depravity.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Inability, Calvin meant that a lost sinner cannot come to Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: and trust him as Savior unless he is for ordained to come to Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By total inability, he meant that no man has the ability to come to Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And unless God empowers or overpowers him, that's the ears of some grace, and gives him that ability he will never come to Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So basically we are eliminating the will of man totally.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: in salvation.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, one of the things that, and I'll highlight things every once in a while and and I may repeat it several times, but those who are a hyper Calvinist, I have this question.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If man has no will in salvation, why then do you and I have a will now as Christians?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So if there is no will in faith that faith comes from God, you didn't choose a God, love you, you didn't choose God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Everything is coming from Him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why all of a sudden, magically, then in God's divine order, do you and I, all of a sudden, have a will?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And a choice, you chose to come tonight.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I still can't figure out why, but y'all come back.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and we make a choice this day.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it'd been really easy for some of you got a hard day, and you could stay at home, but you made a choice.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What was that choice based on?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why did you come to church tonight?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you wanna get something out of the word?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you wanna get some more teaching on this?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The worship, right?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Is there a verse in the Bible?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, God says we're saying you have to gather together.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, well, you know, we ought to gather together Hebrews, you know, so we have this concept of why we we come together and we made a choice based on something.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what God does also.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we do.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God has a will, we have a will.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's choosing that we all go through and the same thing for man.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we'll see a little bit of that down the room.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We want to look at another, oops, I'm going in wrong direction, pardon me, hit the other arrow.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's what I want to talk about tonight, and this is a goes along with the subject of what is considered the total depravity of man, and we're going to look at these particular
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But if they are saying, if hell here is depraved, and she can't be saved, my question is this, if God does the choosing, man has no will, if you are depraved, you're done, that it, no more, and if you are elected and you're in, my question is this, how could you ever know
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you're going to heaven then, because if you don't choose God, it's not based on faith in God that comes from you, you might think you have faith, you may think you believe, you may think you're the elect, but if you're not the elect, you're not in.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So how could you ever teach the security of the believer?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, most mainline denominations do not teach the security of the believer, did you know that?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Very few mainline denominations teach you that you can know you're going to heaven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We are a minority on that subject, trust me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So most churches, they'll say, you can hang in there, you live a good life, leave, let me read, I read her's diet just funny story and sad story and make you feel good about yourselves and send you home and maybe we'll make it, maybe we'll get there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope, and that's, you know, you talk to a lot of people that go to church and you ask them a question, do you know, if you were to diet a day, you'd go to heaven, a lot of them and say, well, I sure hope so.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, why would you say, I hope so, isn't that a really important matter, and then you would stop, and we would say, you haven't got all these verses over here that says, you ought to know.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, first on five, you know, all these places you go to, but the thing is, if they're not taught on these things, how would they ever know, and would they be taught that they
-
[SPEAKER_00]: see this what we're talking about it affects everything and that's why the missionaries that we have coming through here that we want to support they ought to be pretty well grounded on this don't you think because if they're going to go over there and they're going to have a social club and not really preach the gospel then we're supporting nothing
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why we we'd through the missionaries and you know we got one here But you'd better preach the gospel where you're at if not you're fired Ryan If I hear you're going over there and you're kicking soccer balls and you never share the gospel You're fired son and you're dad would be the first one to get you
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what missionaries do, they preach the Bible, share about faith and about Jesus and Jesus dying and God's a Creator and there's one true living God and, you know, etc.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So, yeah, let's look at Romans.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if, if,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The only ones that are totally depraved are those who will never be saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: My question then is why does the Bible say for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: you know we're here going yeah let's move on but but I want to take a little time and prove because this is being recorded and there will be Calvinist will come in this church and they'll say are you Calvinist and I'm going to say no and here's a whole series on why we're not and that's why I'm doing it's on Wednesday night and it's being recorded is because we need to know why it is what it is that they teach and believe and why it is what we believe
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So the classic places you see up above the last one is the Romans chapter three.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, as we look at these last parts, there are verses before this that you know very well, starting in verse number nine, what then here is a question, are we better than they know in no way or no eyes for we have before proved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: both Jews and Gentiles that they are all under sin.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We could stop right there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Showing that there is no human being that is not totally fallen, sinner, depraved, can't save yourself.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 10, as it is written,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: in the Word of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: As it is written, this is not human reasoning.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: This is as it is written.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Thus, say if the Lord, not thus say if John, thus say if the Lord, there is none righteous,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I am born because God knew me before I was even in my mother's womb.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God had my whole life planned out.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He knew me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He loved me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, I've always been a Christian, wrong answer, according to the Scriptures.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No one is born, born again.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No one is born, a Christian, no one is born, saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We are born in iniquity, in sin.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's none righteous, no not one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There in verse 11 is none that understand it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Notice there is none that seek it after God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now remember last week we took the time to look at in Genesis 3 when Man fell into sin what he did was close himself with his own righteousness which was works with the leaves and there again, man's creation and he hides himself
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It is not then that man sought after God that rather God that seeks after man, calling unto man, and calls seeking man.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the nature from the very beginning in Genesis to now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God seeks the lost.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So once man, excuse me, God seeks or calls out as he did to Adam, the picture of the lost sinner, then man responds back.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The callings of God are to the world, to all generations to all men, but the reactions of the lost people is whether they will accept the forgiveness, accept the call of God, accept that invitation, and therefore will become chosen of God if they willfully choose him, God initiates the whole thing, though.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God starts it, man doesn't by nature saying, I'd like to find out how to be holy in God's site.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'd like to know how I can be forgive.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By nature, we don't do that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But when God begins to work inside of the heart of the individual, prompting them through the preaching of the word, through the work of the Spirit of God to convince men that they are lost, they need Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's when this whole thing begins.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So, verse 12, they are all gone out of the way
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They are all together become unprofitable.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There is none that do with good, no, not one period.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That includes every religious leader that you would ever want to talk about.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to talk about Billy Graham or you want to talk about the Pope or you want to talk about Jerry Falwell you want to talk about Carl Henry you want to talk about your deacon board trustee board you talk about any Sunday school teacher any human being ever born.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Through Adam and Eve, and there's no other way to be born, then through the physical, through what they have done, everyone is born a sinner.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why, in the line of Christ, the virgin birth is so important.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why, interestingly, some mainline denominations have actually discredited the virgin birth and said she was just a young woman.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't mean that she was actually a virgin.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There are churches that teach that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Inhumanizes the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: where the virgin birth deifies the Lord Jesus Christ, showing He is not like any other human being.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He is God, come in the flesh.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, let's drop down to verse number 19.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Save a little time.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we know that what things, whoever the law says, it's said to them who are under the law that every mouth may be stopped.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: In what area, saying that they're okay, the way they are.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I keep the law on my righteous person.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, the law shows that everybody is a sinner, that we're wrong.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The mouths are stopped.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And all the world, now notice this, all the world, every ethnic person, every human being, ever born, is become guilty before God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So if I'm guilty, I'm then accountable to Him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm guilty for God, not before man, but before God Himself, God has looked at me and it said,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, by the deeds of the law, the tank commandments, all the sabbatical laws, all of those things, circumcision, the list goes on by the deeds of the law.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They're shown no flesh be justified in his sight, and that's one of the keys.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Not man's sight, but God's sight, they are justified never by the deeds of the law.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: justified by the deeds of the law.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There are those that teach under the Old Testament, they were saved by keeping the law, really.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then show me one in the Old Testament that kept the law every moment of every day, please.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what Acts 15 concluded that the forefathers could never have kept the law.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So how can we tell the Gentiles now that they're converted, that they have to keep the law, that we, nor our fathers, were able to keep hypocrites.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So we're all guilty.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, by these deeds, nobody's justified in God's sight.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For by the law is the knowledge of sin.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the last part of verse 20.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: By the law is the knowledge of sin.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The law doesn't give life.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The law shows us there were sinners.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And there's that verse.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The righteousness of God, now he's going to give the flip side, the word but in the beginning of a verse, is showing you a contrast between two things.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There are those justifying themselves by what they do, but the justification that is in the sight of God is this way.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But now the righteousness of God apart from or without a totally cutting off severing the wall is manifest or now it's made known.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: being witnessed by the law and the prophets.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's so critical, because the law and the prophets, which is a picture of the whole Old Testament, has been showing this through all of these generations that you can't do it yourself.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the witness that the law has been giving.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Even the righteousness, verse 22, even the righteousness of God, which is by faith.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that do one thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, that does not say that God makes them believe, but rather they, in a choice, believe by faith in Jesus Christ the faith of Jesus Christ, for there is no difference.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody, for all, have sinned and come short of the glory of God, verse 23.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Whether they're Jew, Gentile, doesn't matter color, doesn't matter what they speak, doesn't matter their language.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: All in God's sight are justified or declared righteous by God who in this text is the judge who man is guilty.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: All the world is guilty before.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, by
-
[SPEAKER_00]: faith of Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It is what God initiated.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It is what God produced, which is through Jesus Christ, the faith of Christ, man is justified by believing in what Jesus Christ originated.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Are you following me on that one?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What Jesus Christ originated, which is the faith, when we believe in what Jesus did, the death-burner resurrection, we then are justified in God's
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It had to start from somewhere.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The faith had to start from someplace.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus Christ is the one that originated the faith.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so now we look at the faith or the way, the truth, the life, that way, that what Christ started.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we look at that and we say, I trust fully trust and I fully depend on him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And God says that that person that believes in Jesus Christ, the faith of Christ will be saved and will be justified in God's sight.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that is all the world, there is no one excluded.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: How much clearer, I mean,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Then it goes on, verse 24, being justified, I love the word freely, don't you?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We kind of just read things and we flow through, freely, freely given, freely give as a songwriter, said, and it's been freely given us to we freely give it to others.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So the justification came freely without cost to us, but it was a cost paid and full by Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: that like what it says, being justified freely by his grace through the redemption which is the blood that is in Christ Jesus, somebody had to pay for the gift, in Christ paid for it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't free, but it's free to us.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And what we stop and we look at a powerful verse like that and we have to stop as an individual
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what God pre-planned ahead of time before man and refell, and there's going to be a free gift starting even under the law and the prophets.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God had to plan the whole way through that there's going to be a free gift of justification to the whole world and put it this way.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Since we saw that the Old Testament and all the world is found guilty before God, who would be excluded except for Jesus Christ then?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: including Adam and Eve.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Since Jesus Christ is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, the Christ was viewed as the Lamb that the blood will be applied to all, even until the death himself that he took place nearly 2,000 years ago.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Since man can never justify themselves through the law, then Adam couldn't have justified himself either.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so therefore, when Jesus died, he died for all.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I point in both directions.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He died for the old, and he died for the new.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Even though he says, this is a new covenant with God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Still, as we see here, the everyone was found guilty before God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, there had to be a justification for all therefore also.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And Christ did it freely.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: by His grace, that we will be justified through the redemption, and that's the blood that poured from His veins onto the cross, onto the ground, spilled everywhere, that God says, that's applied to the mercy seed and the very glories itself, and it is going to be there to justify anyone that comes by faith to my son.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So God said, I love this world so much that I'm going to give my only begotten son the only
-
[SPEAKER_00]: should not perish but will have everlasting life because God sent not a son into the world to condemn the world but send him in to do one thing what's that save.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it's about.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Who in God sent forth verse 25 to be the perpetuation will look at this on the morning?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: through the faith in His blood.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So now there's a faith in the actual substance, the blood of Jesus Christ, to declare His Christ's righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through the forbearance, the tolerance of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So God patiently waited, waited for the blood to be applied.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And once that blood was applied, God was not just pacified.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God was pleased.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Totally happy with the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Nothing was ever good enough.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Cut the bulls up, cut the goats up, cut the lands up, let the blood fly all over.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That is only pacifying me until I see the blood of my son.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: To declare verse 26, I say at this time, his righteousness that he might be just and adjust the fire of him, which again does one thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: believes in Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There is never one time that God in this verse or this whole text is saying, those who I am love, I love, those who I have chosen, those who I have done this for, as far as the election process, those are the ones.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He never, ever in the clearest text of salvation, includes anything outside of this.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I paid the price, I've taken care of the whole matter and your old guilty, but I'll make your righteous
-
[SPEAKER_00]: simple step, and that's belief, whereas boasting Denver's 27 can't do it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We can never boast to say, look how good I am.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll talk with somebody today, and they have a relative who they just can't get lost.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Just can't, the person is like 92 years old, and gone through
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it was three, I think it was two, they said, no.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And they said this, to this relative, that was witnessing to them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There was only one sin that I ever committed, and I lied one time when I was a little child about a bite I took out of an apple.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the only sin I've ever committed in all of my life.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And at something, but you know what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Out of their own mouth, they condemn themselves.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because James not described to us, if we offend the law in one point, we are what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The guilty of the whole thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Even if what she said was true, which I highly doubt, she condemned herself with just one fall of a lie.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because Revelation 21 tells us that even liars will be there in the lake of fire.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't boast there it is absolutely excluded by what law here's a question of works no by but by the law of fate there is a new commandant.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So the only boasting we can do is in faith what Jesus did for us.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore we conclude, here's the conclusion of the whole matter that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He is the God of the Jews only.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Of course not.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He is not also of the Gentiles.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Gentiles also seeing it as one God, which justifies the circumcision by faith, the unciracumcision through faith.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Do we then make void the law through faith?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No!
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We establish or fulfill the law by faith because the law in the prophets, witness that we're all sinners,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, it's fulfilled by faith in what Jesus did.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't get by the way, if you want to go ahead and reach out for four, he just keeps on going with the whole matter.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: As if we didn't get it the first time, he uses Abraham as an illustration.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He used David as an illustration.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And it was not done through Abraham when he was circumcised.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But when he was uncircumcised, just in case you were saying, well, we're of the descendants of Abraham.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, we are justified by the law.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because Abraham was justified without the law.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He never had the circumcision.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The circumcision was after.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That amazing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What God's wisdom, huh?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So, therefore, when according to this text, does God respect certain people and say, okay, there's certain people I love over here just because I choose to love them and you can't say I'm a bad guy because I choose these certain people over here.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I choose to love them, they get to go to heaven and you can't say I'm a bad guy because I choose certain people to go to hell and you can't say I'm a bad guy.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Right here in this whole text, God has no respect for a person.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: for any individual.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: All our centers, no one excluded.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter your color, it doesn't matter how much money you have or the lack of it has nothing to do with the outward, it is something that is inside the heart of every person ever born.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So as Romans, in 512 describes, wherefore is by one man sin entered into the world and death by sin and so death passed upon all because why, all have sin.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: that's where we fall short of his glory.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So now let's look here at a conclusion.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Look at axe now as a good one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Book of axe because these poor these poor Jews it was like really tough for them to figure out what was happening at this point of the book of axe.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because as was described, go to Jerusalem, preach the gospel.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, Jesus, we're going to do that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So we start preaching 3,000 souls, good say, 5,000 souls, good say.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, people are getting saved all over.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There's problems both of the church, the widows are not being taken care of.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, just issues all over that we're happening.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Just tons of people are getting saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So, but the thing is primarily through the book of Acts, it is the Jews that are getting saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And rightly so, because the gospel was to go to the Jews first.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, question.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The Jesus exclude the gospel to go to the Gentiles.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Matter of fact, just opposite.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Christ commanded, oh, you go to Jerusalem, but the conclusion, and Acts 18 is to go to the other most parts of the world.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Even to those people, you don't like very much the Samaritans.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Go to everybody.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No one excluded.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Jesus didn't exclude anyone.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God is not a respecter of persons.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And what that term means is that He makes His face to shine on one person above another.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I love you, but you're over here.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't love you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're nowhere.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's not God's character is it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: all the world is going.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So here are the Jews getting safe and then miraculously God begins to give the message to a man by name Cornel is by Peter Ironicly who is a apostle to the Jews.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So the apostle to the Jews leads the first Gentile to the Lord.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Go figure that one out.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's what God is trying to help us realize.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I do what I want to do at times.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And just to show you, the apostle to the Gentiles would constantly start church by going to the synagogue.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So it wasn't that they were only preaching to the Jew or the Gentile, but primarily their targeting was on that particular group.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So here in this chapter, there was a problem.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And the problem is Gentiles are getting saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so what we're going to do with this whole problem.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 34, Peter opened his mouth and said of a truth.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: But in every nation, he that fears him, whose responsibility he just put it on, God or man?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And work at the righteousness, God or man, man, is accepted with him, which is God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The word which God sent under the children of Israel preaching peace by Jesus Christ, and He is Lord of all.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He puts that little collage in here to help you to realize from the very beginning God is Lord of all, not just to you only, but all races.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That word, I say, which was published throughout all Judea?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, from Galilee, after the baptism of John preach, how God, excuse me, how God, anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost, with power, and went about doing good, healing all that were oppressive to the devil and for God was with Him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And we are witnesses of all things, which He did, both in land,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: of the Jews, Jerusalem, whom they slew and hanged on the tree, him, God raised up the third day and showed openly.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He always puts a gospel in there, just in case, you know, but it was questioning about which Jesus we're talking about.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Not to all the people, but unto witnesses, chosen before of God, even to us whom did eat and drink with him, after he rose from a dead, the choosing there is not choosing the salvation, is it?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The choosing is of what?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The apostles, I heard it's always said, it's the disciples, Jesus chose the disciples.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody have a problem with that?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't say he chose us only to be going to heaven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, he isn't talking about heaven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He's talking about a choice.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Just as everybody here chose him to be a pastor.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, but God laid on my heart as a carl.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I want you to be a pastor.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Put it on my heart, give it to the desire of my heart, and hopefully the qualifications are there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, here I am.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So he commanded to us to preach under the people and to testify that he is which he is exhuming.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It is he which was ordained of God to be the judge of the quick and a dead to give all the prophets witness that through his name, whosoever believe it in him shall receive remission of sins.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So the beginning of verse 34,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: is the issue at hand.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God is not a respecter of persons.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And now, verse 43, who's the Weber?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Anybody that calls on the Lord, they're going to have remission of sins and that is the same as believing, calling, praying, heralding out to God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a sinner I need Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And of course, later on, it's like, anybody wanna keep these guys and be baptized?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Because I think it's been proven that they've received the Spirit of God the same way we have and everything's going pretty good.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So they baptized them and in the name of the Lord and it was a good thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's your Acts 34 and actually chapter 11 and verse 2, I forgot that we wanted to bring this up too.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: First one, apostles, brethren, that were in Judea, heard that the Gentiles had also received the Word of God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now stop and listen to the terminology of that right there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: What is that telling you and I, that as the Word of God was being preached, it was up to the individuals to do something, receive it.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The individuals chose God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: The Gentiles chose God.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He did not say, and those who God for new, he had them believe.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It was on the, it was the responsibility of the individuals to say yes to Jesus or no to Jesus.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And when Peter was come up to Jerusalem, they that were of the circumcision contended with him.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They just had to fight about this whole thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: They just didn't get it saying that that now went into men on circumcised and did eat with them and go through the whole thing.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, my believers and Christians, we do have our issues don't wait.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I love this one, this one's probably one of the clearest easy wins, we could just read it, and everybody would say, yep, there it is.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We're in first Timothy, chapter number two, starting in verse one.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Since I exhorted therefore that first of all, showing the utmost importance.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, nobody's to be excluded.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So therefore, you actually have to thank the Lord for me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, yes, be thankful for me.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I hate to tell you that, and I have to be thankful for you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and nobody is excluded.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We had to be thankful for the president.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: With we thankful for kings and authority, we had to pray for them, we have to intercede for them, and whether you'd like the President and Vice President or what's going on really doesn't matter, God says to you, you're supposed to pray for them.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And you have to realize you know what God raises up politicians, they're good and the bad, put them right in office, and you know what, he's sovereign.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So verse 4, or verse 2, excuse me, for kings and for all their authority, the result of our prayer for them is that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in all Godliness and honesty.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So we think okay.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 3, you can see the even those who are say, period at the end of verse 2, it is a continuing thought.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: For this is good and acceptable on the side of God, our Savior.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So what is?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the prayers, and as we're going to see to save all men, all of this text, God says, I'm happy when Christians pray right.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: When we're thankful, when we're interceden for others, and we're not going into it with his James describes the greedy prayers, but we're praying for others.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And so notice this, this is what is important.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I want you to, again, we've already read verse number three.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You say, okay, let's get the verse four.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Wait a minute.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't there something important in verse number three that God describes about himself?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: We see in verse 3, this is good and acceptable in the sight of God, notice he brings up that the fact that he is the Savior who that is the Savior, God Himself will have.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Here's the will of God, the will of God who is to have all men to be saved and to come
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Need I say anything more, but I will.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: If it is the will of God that all men, all human beings and when it uses the word man is talking men here, how about mankind is not dealing with just masculine, it's talking about mankind, he will have all mankind to be saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There have been historically those who looked at the blacks and said that there are nothing more than an animal will make them slaves and don't even believe that they can be saved.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: There are even some historically that question the feminine gender in salvation even.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you get all kinds of wackos out there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's why God puts it in there in first Peter chapter three, verse seven.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He says, now listen, husbands.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You have to remember some things here.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You're supposed to dwell together with your wives according to knowledge.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Give on or under the wife.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You take good care of her.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: She's a precious little piece of glass there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You take care of her.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: She doesn't get fallen in hurt in herself.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Give knowledge unto you guys, to honor your wife as a weaker vessel.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And as being heirs together of the grace of life,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: that your prayers be not hindered.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So guys, I think you're more spiritual than your wives, that God hears your prayer quicker or you're saved a better way, or something's different about man and women concerning salvation and spiritual, you don't know the Bible too well.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God is not a respect or a person's masculine, feminine.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: He goes through English and talks about the free, the bond,
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter in God's sight, it doesn't matter that you're tied to what, you know, by chain and ball and you're over here breaking rocks for a living, that says, okay, would you like to be saved?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: You believe in me and I'll take good care of you and I'll give you a mansion in heaven just like this rich person over here who is a Christian, they're going to get the same benefits.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't matter.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And people get mad about that.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, well, that doesn't seem right.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: No, God is not a respecter of persons.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: It's all the exact same.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: God will have all men to be saved, and notice, respond, there is one God, one mediator between God and men, it's the man, Christ Jesus, who gave him a self, a ransom for the elect.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: And I throw these words because that's what's in a lot of these guys' minds is that he's talking about the elect there and he doesn't say elect, that's what they translate this as.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Given all these guys that I'll read through that are hypers, they will say, well, you know that doesn't mean for all.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That means for those who are the electors who are, and they start filling in the blanks for you.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Human reasoning.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime the Bible says all that Jesus died for all, they will put a clause and now you know that Jesus didn't die for everybody.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Only those who he elected, those who are chosen, those who have been a tone for.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That's who he's talking about all, all ethnic groups.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: So when it's translated, for God's love, the world, what that means is God loved every ethnic group, all human people that would be elect.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't mean everybody.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that amazing how they get around this stuff?
-
[SPEAKER_00]: All righty.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, we'll stop there.
-
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm out of time.
