  1. [SPEAKER_00]: Years ago my preacher told me a story, now it is about a vehicle and most of you know you typically don't buy a car from a preacher.

  2. [SPEAKER_00]: because they usually don't change the oil every three to five thousand miles and they do you know maintain and hence the story.

  3. [SPEAKER_00]: So the preacher, he's driving along and all of the sudden put crash, car dies.

  4. [SPEAKER_00]: So he takes it to a guy in a church, his name is Bill.

  5. [SPEAKER_00]: He took it over to him and said, hey, car's dead and he's gonna fix it.

  6. [SPEAKER_00]: He goes, okay, sure enough.

  7. [SPEAKER_00]: So, day later Bill calls the free truck, says it's a true story.

  8. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not making this up.

  9. [SPEAKER_00]: This is my free shirt.

  10. [SPEAKER_00]: He tells the story quite often.

  11. [SPEAKER_00]: He says, listen, it's typical.

  12. [SPEAKER_00]: I got good news.

  13. [SPEAKER_00]: And I got bad news, which do you want to hear first?

  14. [SPEAKER_00]: And the preacher says, lay it on me, give me the bad news.

  15. [SPEAKER_00]: So, preacher, you haven't changed your oil, oil ran out and your engine sees it's blown up.

  16. [SPEAKER_00]: Got to put a whole new engine in the thing, a couple thousand dollars.

  17. [SPEAKER_00]: What could be good news about all of this he goes, we're all going to have it.

  18. [SPEAKER_00]: Christians that is and he's like yeah you got me because you know preachers like we need to be joyful and rejoice in a Lord always and against I say rejoice we're always supposed to be happy if it were motor blows up in our car you know there's there's there's definitely trials and joy

  19. [SPEAKER_00]: There's what we look for.

  20. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a joy that the world thinks they have, and usually it's based on emotions, and circumstances, and sports, you know, I was glad Penn State won yesterday again.

  21. [SPEAKER_00]: I usually don't say anything, because usually the next week they lose them, and then you all hammer me because they're playing Ohio State next week.

  22. [SPEAKER_00]: Dave is very excited about that, and so, you know, it is fine, life's fun, you know, it's supposed to be we're supposed to enjoy things in life, you know, but, you know what?

  23. [SPEAKER_00]: If our joy is contingent upon sports, that's about a shallow as it gets.

  24. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?

  25. [SPEAKER_00]: If our contingency is even based on our checking account or savings account, that's a really shallow, no pun intended there.

  26. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's just not a whole lot there to be joyful about, it seems like.

  27. [SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, we look at really where the joy comes from.

  28. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I was finished getting this whole message together.

  29. [SPEAKER_00]: I stopped and looked at this text at what God didn't talk about.

  30. [SPEAKER_00]: Not one time where we're going to see money mentioned.

  31. [SPEAKER_00]: We're not talking about anything on the physical.

  32. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no war been one.

  33. [SPEAKER_00]: It is just some things that, again, we're organized, laid out for the people of Israel to have joy.

  34. [SPEAKER_00]: There is, if you will, a way that God is going to teach you an eye, joy in our lives as a result of doing it God's way.

  35. [SPEAKER_00]: There's an old song I was singing a whole bunch this week.

  36. [SPEAKER_00]: Trust, hand obey, for there's no other way, to be happy and Jesus, but to, pretty good, too.

  37. [SPEAKER_00]: That's all right, trust and obey.

  38. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, we sing these good old hymns, and do we really stop and think, what, what are they trying to express?

  39. [SPEAKER_00]: They learn these concepts from the scriptures.

  40. [SPEAKER_00]: And you look at any individual in a Bible when they were fighting God, what happened?

  41. [SPEAKER_00]: Cotastrophe.

  42. [SPEAKER_00]: When they did what was right, obeyed God, then joy came, you know, the blessings came.

  43. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to build this text up for you.

  44. [SPEAKER_00]: We're still in chapter 30.

  45. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go backwards a little bit though.

  46. [SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to specifically look at verse number 12.

  47. [SPEAKER_00]: Now as you're turning verse 12 last week, we saw how Hezekiah, the king at this time period,

  48. [SPEAKER_00]: kept the Passover or are keeping the Passover in this text.

  49. [SPEAKER_00]: He invited, called out, upon the really the authority of the Word of God, the Northern tribe, now follow me, who they were divided from.

  50. [SPEAKER_00]: There was a division into Kingdom, north, south.

  51. [SPEAKER_00]: And so he actually invited the North to come down to Jerusalem and to keep the Word of God, to keep the commandment, to keep what was written, and basically they laughed at them.

  52. [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, they were all involved with their idolatry, and they weren't going to obey God's Word and come down.

  53. [SPEAKER_00]: But there were some that you can see, if you were to read in verse 11, that Asher, Manasseh, and Eve Zebulin, humbled themselves and came to Jerusalem.

  54. [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, what they did was they rejected what the majority of the North was doing.

  55. [SPEAKER_00]: And they, a small remnant, said, we're going to come down to Jerusalem, and we're going to do that which was right, even when others wouldn't.

  56. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember that, there are times that you're going to do what's right for God when the masses and the majority aren't.

  57. [SPEAKER_00]: And the masses and the majority are supposed to be the believers.

  58. [SPEAKER_00]: And you'll find that even amongst Christianity, Christendom, there are those who stop and say, I'm gonna go by what the word says, and obey and do the right thing.

  59. [SPEAKER_00]: And then verse 12, this is where it gets good.

  60. [SPEAKER_00]: Also in Judah, the hand of God was to, now, load, notice this, to give them one heart.

  61. [SPEAKER_00]: to do the commandment of the king and of the princes by the word of the Lord.

  62. [SPEAKER_00]: Love this verse.

  63. [SPEAKER_00]: So what we're going to learn about here is a matter of one heart.

  64. [SPEAKER_00]: Now Old Testament is, of course, Hebrew New Testament Greek.

  65. [SPEAKER_00]: Most of us know the Greek word for heart, where we would go to a cardiologist, right?

  66. [SPEAKER_00]: Cardia, your Greek word for heart, and most times it's not talking about the physical eight-ounce muscle that beats inside of our chest, but rather is dealing with the inner part of man that we believe with the heart believes and the old testament is a Hebrew word, but to be truthful, the definition is the exact same.

  67. [SPEAKER_00]: So this word for heart has to do with that same thing.

  68. [SPEAKER_00]: The will, intellect, choosing, it has the word center involved with the Hebrew word.

  69. [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, everything else is revolving around this in the center.

  70. [SPEAKER_00]: And that has to do again with the heart, because the matter of the heart, the issue of the heart is the matter of the heart.

  71. [SPEAKER_00]: We're dealing with that.

  72. [SPEAKER_00]: And then, of course, along with that,

  73. [SPEAKER_00]: concern and then out of it comes kindness.

  74. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you were to look at the word heart in the Old Testament, those are the ways you're going to see the heart of an individual was looked at.

  75. [SPEAKER_00]: God said, I want to man after my own heart.

  76. [SPEAKER_00]: And so those are the ways we're seeing symbolically the heart is mentioned.

  77. [SPEAKER_00]: And here

  78. [SPEAKER_00]: So, what we're going to see here is that God gave a blueprint or a way directions for the people of Israel to have one heart.

  79. [SPEAKER_00]: And what you're going to see is this blueprint is that God had a purpose and a plan.

  80. [SPEAKER_00]: And that was all written out, the last part of verse 12, we're actually going to go and reverse order.

  81. [SPEAKER_00]: So, it starts out by the word of the Lord.

  82. [SPEAKER_00]: So in other words, if we say, let's go get them.

  83. [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people get excited and say, yeah, let's go get them.

  84. [SPEAKER_00]: Whoever they are, you know what I mean?

  85. [SPEAKER_00]: If you don't know where you're going, what the battle is about, how you're going to land the same place.

  86. [SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine if each one of you in your bulletin had a different

  87. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the organist in the pianist too.

  88. [SPEAKER_00]: And you all started to sing the words off of your page and they started playing what was on their page number.

  89. [SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine the chaos?

  90. [SPEAKER_00]: And so what we do is we all do it together.

  91. [SPEAKER_00]: They play the music.

  92. [SPEAKER_00]: We hear the melody.

  93. [SPEAKER_00]: We sing it together.

  94. [SPEAKER_00]: We sing the words that gives us all the rhythm, which is the heart of a song, by the way.

  95. [SPEAKER_00]: And so all this is done so that we can do something together.

  96. [SPEAKER_00]: We call it, singin' off the same page.

  97. [SPEAKER_00]: She heard people say that, right?

  98. [SPEAKER_00]: And what he's trying to say is let's do this together here.

  99. [SPEAKER_00]: And it works a whole lot better.

  100. [SPEAKER_00]: And so God has given you an eye the plan.

  101. [SPEAKER_00]: He has given you an eye the purpose.

  102. [SPEAKER_00]: He gave them his plan, his purpose.

  103. [SPEAKER_00]: At that time, period, it was the Word of God, the laws that they ordered to observe in particular in the text.

  104. [SPEAKER_00]: It was to keep the Passover, which we talked about with symbolic of their salvation.

  105. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's go back to the foundation.

  106. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's a picture of Christ.

  107. [SPEAKER_00]: And so now they have this plan and they have a purpose because they know there is an enemy out there Snacker who wants to absolutely destroy them and there's going to be a battle that's coming up so we have to understand We have to be doing this together Because if we all tried to, you know, it's just like, are you glad God made us with one head?

  108. [SPEAKER_00]: Seriously, think about that.

  109. [SPEAKER_00]: Could you imagine having two minds on one body?

  110. [SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine the left brain saying, do it this way, the right brain saying, no, that's wrong?

  111. [SPEAKER_00]: What torture that would be?

  112. [SPEAKER_00]: Who would the body listen to?

  113. [SPEAKER_00]: How would you reason all of that?

  114. [SPEAKER_00]: So God made us in a way the way He himself is.

  115. [SPEAKER_00]: that God the Father is the head.

  116. [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus Christ is underneath.

  117. [SPEAKER_00]: Man is underneath.

  118. [SPEAKER_00]: Women, God has created order in everything that He has created.

  119. [SPEAKER_00]: And so God now says, I want you as a people if you will to be a body.

  120. [SPEAKER_00]: that you have one purpose and one plan that you're all going in the same direction.

  121. [SPEAKER_00]: So, he does, then with his word, he then gives his word to the leaders.

  122. [SPEAKER_00]: In particular, they are the kings and the princes.

  123. [SPEAKER_00]: The king, he has a chia, has been given the Word of God, and then the result of that is he gives it to the people of Judah, the Word Judah there is talking about the whole region.

  124. [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody that was surrounding Jerusalem, that whole region, they are getting this word from the king to the people.

  125. [SPEAKER_00]: So we take the Word of God to the leadership,

  126. [SPEAKER_00]: to give to the people.

  127. [SPEAKER_00]: Isn't it awesome how organized God is?

  128. [SPEAKER_00]: Kind of reminds you about discipleship, just a little bit, doesn't it?

  129. [SPEAKER_00]: And if I can show you that the Father representing the mind has given it to the King.

  130. [SPEAKER_00]: Guess who the king is, Jesus, who then gives to His disciples, who then gives it to the people.

  131. [SPEAKER_00]: It's called discipleship.

  132. [SPEAKER_00]: Boy, you'd wonder how I get discipleship out of this text, wouldn't you?

  133. [SPEAKER_00]: And yet there it is.

  134. [SPEAKER_00]: How else are we going to understand the Word of God that we are in unity with the Word if we don't have someone teaching us?

  135. [SPEAKER_00]: And how are they going to teach us if they themselves don't know the Word of God?

  136. [SPEAKER_00]: And so it's this principle of laying it out to the people and this is the way God doesn't.

  137. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the second Timothy, two, two principle.

  138. [SPEAKER_00]: The things that you have heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit down to the faithful man,

  139. [SPEAKER_00]: Folks, we as a church, this, the people of Israel needed to have one heart.

  140. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I'm gonna just say this.

  141. [SPEAKER_00]: There was one guy at years ago, he had come from another state and moved in, and he started coming to the church, and we're talking about discipleship ministry, and he had gone, I don't need that.

  142. [SPEAKER_00]: He goes, I know everything, wow, you're really deep, he goes, oh yeah, let me show you the books that I've gone through, the deep studies that I've gone through and everything, I said, okay, that's good.

  143. [SPEAKER_00]: So he gave me all these books, and so to make a long story short, he would never

  144. [SPEAKER_00]: because he felt he knew it all.

  145. [SPEAKER_00]: And we tried to use them, leadership, do some teaching and so forth.

  146. [SPEAKER_00]: But there was always something out here that was just like, if you don't know what I mean, you had a question mark over them.

  147. [SPEAKER_00]: And all of a sudden, it wasn't too long that we found out he had some agendas.

  148. [SPEAKER_00]: And he wouldn't submit.

  149. [SPEAKER_00]: And we learned right there, by the way, in D1, if you've been around the word for anything, you're probably not going to learn tons of stuff.

  150. [SPEAKER_00]: You'll learn some things every time we go through, you have to open a word of God, you're going to learn something.

  151. [SPEAKER_00]: But don't you see that there's a pattern here that we all want to be singing off the same page?

  152. [SPEAKER_00]: teaching the basic principles of the faith, of salvation, the assurance of salvation, because there's a whole lot of people out there saying, I don't know if I'm going to heaven.

  153. [SPEAKER_00]: How can you know if you're going to heaven?

  154. [SPEAKER_00]: Because God wants you to know, it's all like through the Bible.

  155. [SPEAKER_00]: You say it's really in the Bible, the God wants us to know, yep, just re-first John, you'll find it really quick.

  156. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is the record that God has given us, E, turn a life,

  157. [SPEAKER_00]: His life is in His Son, He that has the Son, has life, He that has not the Son, has not life.

  158. [SPEAKER_00]: But these things are very written unto you that you may of course, those of you who believe that you may know that you have eternal life.

  159. [SPEAKER_00]: So God wants you to know right now, present tense, you have eternal life.

  160. [SPEAKER_00]: That's book one and two, by the way.

  161. [SPEAKER_00]: So all of a sudden we have these foundations that you then, as you lead somebody to Christ, you're able to get them into one mind, one heart that we're doing the exact same thing, we're going in the same direction.

  162. [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, has nothing to do with a 16 books.

  163. [SPEAKER_00]: It really doesn't.

  164. [SPEAKER_00]: You say, well, that's just what we use.

  165. [SPEAKER_00]: I used to use proteins, there are four books in that one, and it just went a little different twist, but it was all the same subjects, all the major subjects from the Foundation and Salvation and what is it, right to the eschatology, the thing is we have to have one plan.

  166. [SPEAKER_00]: what is our purpose, and this is what it does.

  167. [SPEAKER_00]: And so that's the principle that we go by.

  168. [SPEAKER_00]: And then the result of that is that the people then rally together for the purpose and the plan.

  169. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a pep rally.

  170. [SPEAKER_00]: Rara, let's go get them, don't understand a strategy, don't really know what we're doing.

  171. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, could you imagine a team going on to the field and there's no coach and nobody telling them what their positions are?

  172. [SPEAKER_00]: How do you think that will do on the basketball court or the football field or any other sport?

  173. [SPEAKER_00]: You have to have structure lay out the plan.

  174. [SPEAKER_00]: And so sure enough, God says, I have a plan.

  175. [SPEAKER_00]: I have a purpose.

  176. [SPEAKER_00]: Here it is, all laid out in the word, and so we understand the organization and then the people rally around this and here are the nose.

  177. [SPEAKER_00]: Israel was noted for murmuring.

  178. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, they have one heart, and you will not see anyone murmuring for a change in Israel.

  179. [SPEAKER_00]: Can you imagine if they are going to one direction, one person goes over here and says, you know what, do you think he really knows what he's talking about?

  180. [SPEAKER_00]: Be quiet!

  181. [SPEAKER_00]: Has this work before the what you're talking to us about?

  182. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why we're in a mess and a first place.

  183. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's get together and work.

  184. [SPEAKER_00]: Be quiet.

  185. [SPEAKER_00]: No murmuring.

  186. [SPEAKER_00]: Not allowed.

  187. [SPEAKER_00]: We won't even listen to it.

  188. [SPEAKER_00]: No confusion.

  189. [SPEAKER_00]: Where are we going?

  190. [SPEAKER_00]: What are we supposed to do?

  191. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't understand.

  192. [SPEAKER_00]: Folks, as a Christian,

  193. [SPEAKER_00]: I see people right now going to go, and you know what?

  194. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not confused.

  195. [SPEAKER_00]: You say, you mean you have your act together that much?

  196. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, life is confusing.

  197. [SPEAKER_00]: I say life isn't going to be using, but I'm not confused.

  198. [SPEAKER_00]: I know who I have believed in, and I am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I committed under him against that day.

  199. [SPEAKER_00]: Sounds like a Bible verse, doesn't it?

  200. [SPEAKER_00]: God's the one overall, mine is the trust him, believe, do what I'm supposed to do for God.

  201. [SPEAKER_00]: And my life is pretty much laid out.

  202. [SPEAKER_00]: I see the purpose, I see the plan.

  203. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm here to glorify God to be a witness to the loss, under the lightness world.

  204. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm supposed to minister to decipher other people.

  205. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm too filled with great commission.

  206. [SPEAKER_00]: And my ministry, your ministry, is not based on on things, the peripherals.

  207. [SPEAKER_00]: It is a center, the very heart, which is the very heart of God.

  208. [SPEAKER_00]: And if we do that, we're going to be pleasing to God.

  209. [SPEAKER_00]: And then the rest takes care of itself.

  210. [SPEAKER_00]: Life is not that hard.

  211. [SPEAKER_00]: But what I'm finding is that I'm not trying to say, nor side has really got their act together.

  212. [SPEAKER_00]: We have no differences, or anything.

  213. [SPEAKER_00]: We have people, we have differences.

  214. [SPEAKER_00]: But folks, if you don't understand, we are here to, can you say it with me?

  215. [SPEAKER_00]: That's where we're here for.

  216. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, Mark, we enjoy music wherever you're seated.

  217. [SPEAKER_00]: We enjoy the choir, we enjoy specialties, we all, but you know what I'm gonna tell you right now.

  218. [SPEAKER_00]: This church is not built on music.

  219. [SPEAKER_00]: It's built on the foundation of the Word of God by which the music instructs us back to the Word.

  220. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a pep rally.

  221. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not let's see how hyped up we can get you.

  222. [SPEAKER_00]: We are here to get our mind prepared to open up to the very spirit of God, teaching us his word.

  223. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why we're here.

  224. [SPEAKER_00]: That's like really focused.

  225. [SPEAKER_00]: And my brother, he been in church for a lot of years and he's like, they lost division.

  226. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not about the word.

  227. [SPEAKER_00]: It's about numbers and people and money.

  228. [SPEAKER_00]: And he's a car I've been in this church, by the way, our passion play is established.

  229. [SPEAKER_00]: It goes back to generations of that church.

  230. [SPEAKER_00]: And the guy says, we're shutting it all down.

  231. [SPEAKER_00]: And this place ran six, seven nights a week, passion played, bringing thousands upon thousands of people in.

  232. [SPEAKER_00]: The church was growing, people getting saved, left and right, he says, we're shutting everything down.

  233. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no Christmas musical, they did the Christmas tree, you know, and all that, I mean, it was huge works.

  234. [SPEAKER_00]: He just went and shut everything down.

  235. [SPEAKER_00]: And now the people are going, what do we do?

  236. [SPEAKER_00]: He's not telling them, hey, this is where we're going.

  237. [SPEAKER_00]: Because all his messages is each one, reach one.

  238. [SPEAKER_00]: You reach one, each one of you, let's get the people in here.

  239. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's the message.

  240. [SPEAKER_00]: What are we doing?

  241. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know the purpose of Northside?

  242. [SPEAKER_00]: Do you know where we're heading?

  243. [SPEAKER_00]: You should.

  244. [SPEAKER_00]: We are here to lift up the Word God.

  245. [SPEAKER_00]: who is the Lord Jesus Christ, and if Christ be lifted up, all men would be drawn to him.

  246. [SPEAKER_00]: And as we lift up the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, his name is wonderful.

  247. [SPEAKER_00]: I think that was our message today.

  248. [SPEAKER_00]: And so now we glorify God in our lives, and all of a sudden we have a purpose and we have a plan.

  249. [SPEAKER_00]: And what happens is when selfishness comes into the church, if people say, I want the attention, it's all about me.

  250. [SPEAKER_00]: They stick out like a sore thumb.

  251. [SPEAKER_00]: By our fact, they become a sore thumb.

  252. [SPEAKER_00]: Because it's not about you.

  253. [SPEAKER_00]: It's about Christ.

  254. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, suddenly, we come into this purpose of emptying self, Christ increases in my life, I decrease, I then can be submitted, empty of self, filled with a spirit of God that I can start doing something for Christ in for His glory, and before long people are going to look at you as an example, and people are going to say, that's something I would follow.

  255. [SPEAKER_00]: People don't follow selfishness in my

  256. [SPEAKER_00]: this is not going to be long-term.

  257. [SPEAKER_00]: We want something long-term.

  258. [SPEAKER_00]: This has taken away all doubts.

  259. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no doubt that God can do things through us as we are unified.

  260. [SPEAKER_00]: Keep your finger there.

  261. [SPEAKER_00]: Look back at John 17 with me.

  262. [SPEAKER_00]: I was talking to some other Christians that I met this week, it's interesting how this individual, he is an older gentleman, began to talk about unity.

  263. [SPEAKER_00]: And I said, hey, that's just what we happen to be talking about.

  264. [SPEAKER_00]: And he reminded me of some great verses in John chapter 17, which is the great prayer of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    John 17 chapter mention

  265. [SPEAKER_00]: The greatest, longest prayer recorded that I know of anyways, by Jesus Christ in his intercession.

  266. [SPEAKER_00]: And we are, by the way, mentioned in his prayer.

  267. [SPEAKER_00]: But just a couple of verses, look at verse 11, and now I'm in John 1711.

  268. [SPEAKER_00]: And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am come to thee.

  269. [SPEAKER_00]: Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom Thou has given me that they may be one as we are one.

  270. [SPEAKER_00]: The Father Son Spirit

  271. [SPEAKER_00]: are working beautifully together.

  272. [SPEAKER_00]: You can see it in creation, spear to God, move to Pontiface to the deep.

  273. [SPEAKER_00]: We see the Father.

  274. [SPEAKER_00]: We also see the Son, the Word of God, by Him, all things were created.

  275. [SPEAKER_00]: That's our Sunday School lesson here recently.

  276. [SPEAKER_00]: We see all three at baptism.

  277. [SPEAKER_00]: We see the sun being baptized the physical.

  278. [SPEAKER_00]: We hear the voice of the Father saying, this is my beloved Son and whom I am well pleased.

  279. [SPEAKER_00]: We just see the Spirit of God descending like a dove.

  280. [SPEAKER_00]: Trinity, all work together.

  281. [SPEAKER_00]: We see Him in salvation.

  282. [SPEAKER_00]: We see Him in every way.

  283. [SPEAKER_00]: The Father sends the Son, the Son comes, dies on the cross.

  284. [SPEAKER_00]: The Spirit convicts us of our need of Christ.

  285. [SPEAKER_00]: Constantly working together as one, and he says about the disciples that they may be one.

  286. [SPEAKER_00]: Look at verse 21, verse 20, we'll read that too.

  287. [SPEAKER_00]: Need to pray aye for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.

  288. [SPEAKER_00]: So we have the Word of God going to the disciples that goes to the generations literally

  289. [SPEAKER_00]: What was his prayer, verse 21, that they all may be one as thou, Father, are in me and I in thee, that they also may be one in us.

  290. [SPEAKER_00]: Now here's the purpose.

  291. [SPEAKER_00]: that the world may believe that thou has sent me.

  292. [SPEAKER_00]: So we believe what we have been taught.

  293. [SPEAKER_00]: And again, the attention goes back on Christ, the one that has been sent.

  294. [SPEAKER_00]: And we are trying to compel the people, left and right, believe in Him.

  295. [SPEAKER_00]: and then life will come inside of you as a result of believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then you will be if you will part of the family of God, you will be with each one that is in this room, that we then receive then the Word of God, and we can be going in one direction, one plan, and the last know is that there is no division.

  296. [SPEAKER_00]: If you have one heart,

  297. [SPEAKER_00]: There is no division.

  298. [SPEAKER_00]: You see, when God made Adam and Eve, there is something that He established immediately.

  299. [SPEAKER_00]: And that is that the man and woman, that I mentioned man and woman, when they get married, that those two, he tells us in Genesis, become one.

  300. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, we're two.

  301. [SPEAKER_00]: And if you haven't observed lately, that gentlemen, your wife is a whole lot different than you.

  302. [SPEAKER_00]: And aren't you glad?

  303. [SPEAKER_00]: And ladies, you've noticed your husbands are different.

  304. [SPEAKER_00]: And I think you're glad too.

  305. [SPEAKER_00]: And so God has taken those which literally are opposites and abroad them together to work as one.

  306. [SPEAKER_00]: And so He says, man, shall leave father and mother

  307. [SPEAKER_00]: believe unto their wife and those two become one.

  308. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a miracle.

  309. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, there's two different cultures, two different ways of doing things, the right brain, left brain, you know, Venus Mars, however you want to, you know, the books that are written out there, there's bucuses of them, of the distinctions between man and woman.

  310. [SPEAKER_00]: And so here we are, bringing two, the seemingly or opposites, put together

  311. [SPEAKER_00]: And what God has put together, he says, let no man put us under.

  312. [SPEAKER_00]: There's no division when it comes to this.

  313. [SPEAKER_00]: You're now one.

  314. [SPEAKER_00]: It's an amazing thing.

  315. [SPEAKER_00]: You ever notice that you're going down the road, those of you who've been married for a little while, you've been with each other, you drive down the road, and you're just being quiet, and all of a sudden you see something or you're watching your wife's look at.

  316. [SPEAKER_00]: And you know what she's thinking about?

  317. [SPEAKER_00]: and I'll say what my wife's thinking about you.

  318. [SPEAKER_00]: How did you know that?

  319. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, 30 years.

  320. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, some things are more obvious than others.

  321. [SPEAKER_00]: Shopping mall, turn to second one.

  322. [SPEAKER_00]: My God, just pull away in guys, right?

  323. [SPEAKER_00]: Yard sale, hit those brakes.

  324. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh.

  325. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm just kidding, honey.

  326. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't really mean that.

  327. [SPEAKER_00]: But it is, it's amazing.

  328. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what you're thinking?

  329. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?

  330. [SPEAKER_00]: We have a little time to spare here.

  331. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, we just pull in and see if there's anything at that yard sales.

  332. [SPEAKER_00]: I just turn a second one.

  333. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, you just go in.

  334. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, you're going to be asked to anyways.

  335. [SPEAKER_00]: Don't do what I used to do.

  336. [SPEAKER_00]: You're driving along, and you know, you're supposed to turn a signal on to turn in.

  337. [SPEAKER_00]: And she says, why you're right upon the driveway.

  338. [SPEAKER_00]: I want you to turn in there.

  339. [SPEAKER_00]: You knew that didn't you?

  340. [SPEAKER_00]: And you mean, you say, you mean, that yard sale back there that we just passed?

  341. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, I'll turn around and go back and go into it.

  342. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't go there.

  343. [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't work.

  344. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going in.

  345. [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus said it this way in Mark 325, that if a house be divided against itself, that house can not stand.

  346. [SPEAKER_00]: There has to be one heart, there has to be one mind.

  347. [SPEAKER_00]: Look at me, what Psalms, 133, love, love this Psalm.

  348. [SPEAKER_00]: 133, it's a short one, but also meaningful.

  349. [SPEAKER_00]: Psalm 133,

  350. [SPEAKER_00]: Psalm 133, verse 1, I'll wait till the pages are stopping because I want you to see this one.

    Psalms 133:1

  351. [SPEAKER_00]: Psalm 133, behold, how good and how pleasant it is for the brethren to dwell together in unity.

  352. [SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that sweet?

  353. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is what God says.

  354. [SPEAKER_00]: This is good and it is something that is absolutely beautiful and He makes two comparisons in this chapter.

  355. [SPEAKER_00]: He compares it to the anointing of Aaron with oil and do upon the mountains.

  356. [SPEAKER_00]: Two comparisons, how beautiful it is.

  357. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's read it.

  358. [SPEAKER_00]: This unity, it is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard, that went down to the skirts of his garments.

  359. [SPEAKER_00]: By the way, the oil is a picture of the anointing, a picture of the Holy Spirit of God.

  360. [SPEAKER_00]: The Spirit of God, in Ephesians chapter 4, we are to endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit, Ephesians chapter 4.

Ephesians 4 chapter mention Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  361. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's the same text he says, there's one Father, one Baptist, and one Spirit, you know, all those ones that are in that text, it's a unity.

  362. [SPEAKER_00]: And then the second comparison, verse 3, as the due of Herman, as the due, the descendant upon the mountains of Zion.

  363. [SPEAKER_00]: For their, the Lord commanded the blessing, even life, forevermore, the great commandments.

  364. [SPEAKER_00]: And those of us who understand mountains.

  365. [SPEAKER_00]: going up there in the morning and it's quiet except for the squirrels in the deer and you know the animal but it's just it's a piece there's it's not commotion and trains and it's just you stop and it's just like you watch nature and how it works.

  366. [SPEAKER_00]: I always said you say God is the God of organization.

  367. [SPEAKER_00]: And now, what God wants us to have in our homes, in our church, and we pray in our government that we would have one heart, one nation on a God.

  368. [SPEAKER_00]: If you are not saved and I need to shut down, that was 0.1 or 3.

  369. [SPEAKER_00]: I didn't get it all done today, but I wanted to share this one.

  370. [SPEAKER_00]: This one was really the one on my heart.

  371. [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see a little bit more Lord, we'll in next week.

  372. [SPEAKER_00]: But if you are not saved, my friend, you can be one with a father and the son and the spirit of God by believing in a Lord Jesus Christ.

  373. [SPEAKER_00]: We search our hearts and our homes and our lives at work, et cetera, to see how we can be peace makers, instead of contentious.

  374. [SPEAKER_00]: We don't want to divide, we want to bring a unity.

  375. [SPEAKER_00]: And what's ironic is tonight, we're going to see Hebrews 4th, 12, where he says that the Word of God is quick, sharper, too, he's short, and what's it do?

  376. [SPEAKER_00]: It divides.

  377. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to see this stuff tonight.

  378. [SPEAKER_00]: So today is a two-fold, two-fold message.

  379. [SPEAKER_00]: Lord, use your word.

  380. [SPEAKER_00]: It is absolutely, as you tell us, powerful.

  381. [SPEAKER_00]: And I pray, Lord, that if there are any here this day, they do not know Christ to save your, draw them to yourself this day.

  382. [SPEAKER_00]: We as a church, Lord, help us to have the mind of Christ that we will be able to work together, uns selfishly for the kingdom.

  383. [SPEAKER_00]: Lord, thank you for each one here today.

  384. [SPEAKER_00]: Bless, and we'll thank you for what you'll do.

  385. [SPEAKER_00]: This is your invitation, Lord, in Jesus' name, amen.

  386. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's stand together.

  387. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's have a bow to the nice clothes.

  388. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, if you're here without Christ, what we encourage you to do is you come down and we're going to show you from God's word how to be saved.
