  1. Amen. Well, you should be very happy to know

  2. that I have one point sermon today. Hey, who

  3. cheered for that? Come on, Ray. He's ready for

  4. lunch. I have one point, one point message. And

  5. it's good, you know, because we kind of have

  6. a smaller crowd today. But this is going to be

  7. a special day. Every day is a special day in

  8. the house of God. But I believe this is going

  9. to be a special day. I have one point. I'm just

  10. going to pour my heart out today. Pour my heart

  11. out for one point. You may be saying, what is

  12. that point? Well, I'm not going to tell you unless

  13. you ask me. What's the point? The point is Jesus

  14. is alive. Amen? Jesus is alive. Hallelujah. He

  15. lives. Isn't it great that we don't have a dead

  16. God? We have a living Christ. Have you ever recently,

  17. or have you recently, just taken a moment and

  18. just considered him? Hebrews chapter 12. He says,

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

  19. consider him. Meaning, you should take moments

  20. just to consider him. Who is he? What has he

  21. done? Do I believe in my heart that he is who

  22. he says he is, that he's done what he says he's

  23. done? Have you done it lately? Let's do it today.

  24. Let's consider him. Let's let our faith shoot

  25. out of this place like a rocket and just go for

  26. Jesus in a big way. Come on. Are you with me?

  27. I mean, I see a people. I know you guys are hungry.

  28. Can we just talk like this? I said, I'm just

  29. going to pour my heart. I'm just going to talk

  30. to you like my friends today. There's a time

  31. to teach and everything, and that's wonderful.

  32. But there's time to preach where we just declare

  33. Jesus, declare. That's the heralding of Jesus,

  34. the preaching. It is because he is. That's what

  35. we're going to do today. And I see a people that's

  36. hungry. That's hungry. And so I want you just

  37. to get with Jesus today. Let's get together in

  38. unity of the faith and just magnify Jesus. This

  39. has actually been my prayer this week, if you

  40. want to know the truth. That we would hear today

  41. the simplicity of Christ. And it would be like

  42. it was the first time. Like we'd never heard

  43. before. Like I heard the... Does anyone remember

  44. the first time they heard the gospel? No? You

  45. all were saved from the womb, right? Set apart.

  46. Maybe you don't remember the first time you heard

  47. the gospel. And maybe we just grew up in America

  48. and it's just like we hear it, whatever. And

  49. maybe that's good. Maybe that's what we're doing

  50. today. You've never even maybe taken a moment

  51. to think about what you've bought into here with

  52. Jesus. Or you've just kind of come in to the

  53. church and thought, this is just what we do.

  54. I'm going to keep kicking that. And maybe you've

  55. never had a moment where you considered him and

  56. thought, am I fully convinced that he's alive?

  57. And my prayer is that today would be like the

  58. first time you ever heard the gospel and that

  59. you would leave this place fully convinced. Not

  60. just about a message, but about a man and a reality

  61. that is because he is. Amen? So are you with

  62. me? Can we go? Can we lift off? I mean, but here's

  63. the thing. When we hear, and this is the thought,

  64. okay? This is our year of kingdom expansion,

  65. right? We're wanting to expand the kingdom. It's

  66. our mandate. It's what we want to do. We want

  67. to win the loss and everything. But there's times

  68. when we have to recalibrate ourselves on what

  69. we're doing, why we're doing it, right? I was

  70. with Dr. Chuck and Trey and a few other guys.

  71. Who else was with us? Was it just us? Okay. Anyway,

  72. we were shooting. I bought a gun, a rifle. and

  73. Dr. Chuggs, like my big brother, he was trying

  74. to help me get it sighted in. So I've got this

  75. powerful weapon, and I'm trying to hit the target

  76. to get it sighted in, and he said, hey, guess

  77. what? Your scope is not even screwed to the gun.

  78. Like, we can sight it, but it just keeps moving

  79. because it's not tight on the frame. So think

  80. of it. You've got all this power, firepower,

  81. but because it's not calibrated, you're not hitting

  82. anything. And Paul warns us, he says, you can

  83. get into a place where you're punching and beating

  84. the air, like lots of activity, but you're not

  85. focused, you're not calibrated. So my prayers

  86. today would be like a recalibration where we

  87. side ourselves back into the gospel of Jesus

  88. Christ. That's where we say, amen, I'm with you.

  89. I hope you are. If I can get at least one person,

  90. I'll just talk to you. Maybe two. I know you're

  91. with me. I think my wife is with me. But it's

  92. true that Jesus lives. He's alive. He really

  93. died and he really rose again. The Bible even

  94. says that after Jesus rose from the grave, he

  95. was seen by more than 500 people. John says we

  96. handled him. We touched him after he rose from

  97. the grave. Peter said, we didn't follow cunningly

  98. devised fables when we made known to you the

  99. gospel of Jesus Christ. He said, we were eyewitnesses

  100. to his majesty. Think of it. A man, more than

  101. one, was there on the mountain when the father

  102. spoke and said, this is my beloved son. And those

  103. men wrote their testimonies for us to read. It's

  104. not a religion that we're following. Jesus didn't

  105. come to establish the religion of Christianity.

  106. He's not a religious martyr. He's the Lord from

  107. heaven. He's real. He's the reality. He said,

  108. I am the truth. He's the truth. And men and women,

  109. did you know the first person that preach the

  110. gospel. This is just a side note. I'm going to

  111. try not to go too far on side notes today. But

  112. this is a side note. The first person that preached

  113. the gospel was a woman. Did you know that? What

  114. was her name? Huh? Rhea probably knows. Mary.

  115. The first one that was entrusted with the gospel

  116. message was a woman. And then Peter and John,

  117. no way. And then John had to brag and say, I

  118. outran Peter. I got there before him. But it's

  119. truth. It's not just words on a page. It's reality.

  120. Jesus is alive. Jesus lives. He really died on

  121. a cross. He really went to the grave. He really

  122. rose again. And he did it for you. He did it

  123. for me. He did it for us. And so that inspires

  124. worship, right? It inspires praise when you think

  125. about what must have been on his mind, on his

  126. heart, when he was on the cross, experiencing

  127. the pain, my pain, your pain. Experiencing the

  128. ridicule, my ridicule, dying, my death, your

  129. death. Powerful, beautiful, wonderful. Let's

  130. look at a scripture. Hebrews chapter 2. Oh, I

    Hebrews 2 chapter mention

  131. think we're going to get so free today. Chapter

  132. 2, verse 14 and 15. Wait for the screen. Inasmuch

  133. then as the children have partaken of flesh and

  134. blood, he himself, Jesus, likewise shared in

  135. the same. In the same what? Flesh and blood.

  136. That through death, he might destroy him who

  137. had the power of death, that is the devil, and

  138. release. Everybody say release. I've been released.

  139. Somebody said it. What does that mean? Delivered.

  140. Freed. I have been released. You've been released.

  141. Those who through fear of death were all their

  142. lifetime subject to bondage. Jesus released us.

  143. The door is open. Through death, destroyed death,

  144. and released us. Anybody afraid to die? See,

  145. he released us from fear. He released us from

  146. the fear of death. Why? How? Because through

  147. death he destroyed death and him who had the

  148. power of death. Therefore, those who are in Christ

  149. Jesus no longer die. We cannot die. We do not

  150. die. What does it mean? It means that the death

  151. of the body is not the moment when we experience

  152. victory. Hello? This has been our mentality,

  153. that someday when my body goes into the grave,

  154. I'll have victory over sin, victory over the

  155. devil, victory over death, and I'll get into

  156. heaven, and one day everything will be all right.

  157. When he died on the cross, oh, we're going to

  158. get into this. He released those. He delivered

  159. us from death through death. We're going to have

  160. to change the lyric of the song. The final breath

  161. upon the cross is now alive in me. We have to

  162. change that lyric. Because this is what happened.

  163. He breathed life into Adam. Stay with me, okay?

  164. Stay with me. The breath that he breathed into

  165. Adam. Does everybody remember that? I'm getting

  166. excited here. What happened? Adam went from being

  167. dust to man. The breath of life came. Man was

  168. alive. His name was Adam. And then the Bible

  169. says Adam fell. He sinned. He committed high

  170. treason against God. And from that moment until

  171. Christ, death reigned. That's what the Bible

  172. says. Death was reigning as a king over mankind

  173. all our lifetime. So everyone born into this

  174. world was subject to the fear of death. And the

  175. devil had rightfully taken the keys. Man could

  176. not be free because they were born into Adam.

  177. But Jesus came, was bruised, beaten, pierced,

  178. mocked, and scourged upon the cross. And as he

  179. hung there on the cross, he said, it is finished.

  180. And the Bible declares he, what? Breathed his

  181. last. So God came to Adam and then Christ on

  182. the cross. The breath that came to Adam, inhaled

  183. into his lungs, was exhaled out of the Christ

  184. on the cross. What does it mean? All those born

  185. into the order of Adam, his death. When Christ

  186. Jesus said, it is finished, and breathed out,

  187. he breathed death out of his lungs and gave up

  188. his spirit. And it was the end. The end. Because

  189. have you ever wondered? How could Jesus say it

  190. is finished when we know he had a few more things

  191. to do? He had a couple days ahead of him, right?

  192. He had a grave. He had to go to hell. He had

  193. to rise again. But how did he say it's finished?

  194. What did he mean? What was he saying? It's finished.

  195. What's finished? I got you right where I want

  196. you now. I'm going to pretend he said party.

  197. I'm going to join him. I love it. It is finished.

  198. What is finished, Jesus? What Jesus was saying

  199. was death is finished. Sacrificial system finished.

  200. Sin finished. Adam finished. You see it? The

  201. man of sin who had fallen, who had fallen and

  202. become slave to Satan, slave to death, slave

  203. to sin and the effects of sin, Jesus said, it's

  204. finished. The breath that Adam corrupted, Jesus

  205. exhaled forever and then went to hell with no

  206. blood in his body and no breath in his lungs.

  207. So what does it mean for you, for me? The prison

  208. doors are open. Sin is defeated. Death is defeated.

  209. Death, see, and this is what we got to do. And

  210. this is what we preach. Why we go all around

  211. the world preaching the gospel? Why are we excited

  212. about the gospel? Why does it inspire us? What

  213. is finished? Death is finished. Sin is finished.

  214. Sickness is finished. Satan is finished. It's

  215. not. It's real. It's reality. I believe in my

  216. heart that Jesus died on the cross. I believe

  217. that he finished the work on the cross. The essence

  218. of Christian life, and listen, because I'm just

  219. telling you the beginning, you know, there's

  220. much more. We're going to get into following

  221. Christ. But the essence of Christianity is not

  222. what we can do for God. We sometimes live like

  223. God needs to respond to us. You don't have to

  224. raise your hand, but have you had that mentality

  225. maybe in your prayer? Like, you need to do this

  226. for me, God. Look at my sacrifice. Look what

  227. I'm doing. Look at me. You need to respond to

  228. me. But the truth is, the reality is, the way

  229. that he set it up is that all of our life is

  230. a response to what he's done. You see the little

  231. subtle nuance. God is not needing to respond

  232. to you. We need to respond to him. In other words,

  233. I'm so grateful that you have died on the cross,

  234. that sin is finished, that death is finished,

  235. that Satan is finished. Now my life is lived

  236. in response to what you have done. I live in

  237. response to his sacrifice. My sacrifice, if there

  238. be any sacrifice, is just a response to his sacrifice.

  239. In other words, when I lay my life down on the

  240. altar, like we talked about a few weeks ago,

  241. it's just because of what he's done. It's all

  242. predicated and inspired by what he's done. You

  243. agree? That's how we live. So he released those

  244. who through fear of death were all their lifetime

  245. subject to bondage. So let's think about this.

  246. I really want to get this because when we, really

  247. get this picture of what Jesus did on the cross.

  248. It gives us such a liberty. Because really, without

  249. the gospel, it's very easy, like I said, to get

  250. out of balance with our approach to God, our

  251. relationship with God, and then we can very easily

  252. get into works. We can very easily get our eyes

  253. off of what Jesus has done for us. And it can

  254. really mess us up. So I really want to just,

  255. I really am praying that we just collectively

  256. see this together. God became a man and died

  257. as sin. Let's look at a few things here. Romans

    Romans 6 chapter mention

  258. chapter 6. Let's look at, I want to read just

  259. several verses here in Romans 6. This will be

  260. very vital for us. Let's start in verse 1. Gospel.

  261. 6 Romans. What shall we say then? Shall we continue

  262. in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not.

  263. How shall we who died to sin live any longer

  264. in it? Do you not know that as many of us as

  265. were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized

  266. into his death? Therefore we were buried with

  267. him through baptism into the death that just

  268. as Christ... Okay, we're going to get into that.

  269. But this is what I want to see. Look at verse

  270. 6. Knowing this. Just so I know you're still

  271. with me. Say, knowing this. Knowing what, Paul?

  272. Knowing this. You ought to know. We ought to

  273. know this. That our old man was crucified. Crucified.

  274. Wait a second. So that means that Jesus on the

  275. cross, when he said it is finished, whenever

  276. he died and breathed out his last, wait, are

  277. you saying that I was there? Is that what he

  278. says? Knowing this, that our old man was crucified

  279. with him, that the body of sin may be done away

  280. with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.

  281. Right? Similar language to what he said in Hebrews

  282. 2. Release those who fear of death. No longer

  283. slaves of sin. Is this anybody's experience?

  284. Or are we slaves of sin? Are we slaves and in

  285. bondage to the fear of death? So when Jesus was

  286. on the cross, you were on the cross. What does

  287. it mean to follow Jesus? If you're going to follow

  288. Jesus, your first stop is going to be the cross.

  289. We were at this conference I was telling you

  290. about, and you guys should look up this guy.

  291. His name is Brother Yun. Chinese. Has anyone

  292. ever heard of Brother Yun? The heavenly man?

  293. You have to hear the whole story about why he's

  294. the heavenly man. Well, we got, I mean, we were

  295. so blessed by this Brother Yoon, but he would

  296. get up, and every time he would come to speak,

  297. and he just spoke a little bit of English, and

  298. he would sing in his broken English, I have decided

  299. to follow Jesus. And it was so sweet and so beautiful.

  300. Well, let me just tell you a little bit of his

  301. story, because as we get into talking about the

  302. gospel, this man was in prison five times for

  303. the gospel. Tortured for the gospel. He had his

  304. legs broken and sat in a Chinese prison with

  305. his legs, femur bones broken because of the gospel,

  306. because he was preaching the gospel as a young

  307. man. And they say, you're going to die in this

  308. prison. Listen to this. This will challenge you.

  309. You're going to die in this prison because you've

  310. been preaching the gospel. He was so sold out

  311. for the gospel. And they were at a gathering,

  312. and the Chinese police came, and he tried to

  313. run because one of the tenets of his faith is

  314. run from the police. I'm not kidding. That was

  315. one of the tenets. That's what they train in

  316. seminary. You must be ready to die for the gospel,

  317. you must be ready to suffer for the gospel, and

  318. you must be ready to run from the police. That's

  319. literally one of their pillars. So he's... tries

  320. to run from the police. They catch him, and they

  321. break his legs so that he won't be able to run

  322. anymore. And they take him and say, you're going

  323. to die in prison. Well, he's in there with another

  324. pastor. This other pastor is praying one day,

  325. and the Lord speaks to him and says, go to the

  326. gate of the prison, touch it, and I'm going to

  327. open the door. So he touches this door, this

  328. other Chinese minister, and the door opens. And

  329. then he says, go over and open this for Brother

  330. Yoon who's there with his legs broken in the

  331. cell. So he goes over and touches his door and

  332. the door opens. And then he said, this is his

  333. testimony. We heard his testimony. Both of theirs.

  334. He said, then I got scared and then I went back

  335. into my cell and started praying again. And he

  336. said, the Lord spoke to him and said, tell Brother

  337. Yoon. that he needs to leave. So he was like,

  338. well, Lord, you know, he's got two broken legs,

  339. so we need something to happen. So he said, Brother

  340. Yoon had already heard the voice of God say,

  341. you need to leave. And then his cellmate or his

  342. fellow prisoner came around and said, the Lord

  343. says you need to leave. So he stands up. With

  344. two broken legs, stands up, and as he begins

  345. to walk, he is perfectly healed and walks. Now,

  346. this is like a max security prison. So the miracle

  347. just continues, and he walks right out of the

  348. doors, and as if that weren't enough, a taxi

  349. cab is waiting. Have you heard this? So he...

  350. You know, gets out of the prison, and his fellow

  351. guy, whose name is Pastor Peter, is praying,

  352. hey, I'm glad, Lord, that you opened the doors.

  353. I'm glad you healed his legs. But once he gets,

  354. like, out in the front, they're just going to

  355. shoot him. So, you know, hide the guard's eyes.

  356. Anyways, he makes it past all this, gets in a

  357. car and this taxi, and he said, I didn't want

  358. them to know I was a prisoner or think I was

  359. weird, so I just started singing. I have decided.

  360. He didn't know what to do. obviously that was

  361. like the worst thing you could do but you know

  362. he's probably amped up a little bit so he just

  363. said go forward just keep driving so this taxi

  364. takes him to a house that with one of his parishioners

  365. one of his people who he led to the lord and

  366. he knocked on the door and they opened the door

  367. and said we were praying and the lord told us

  368. to cook some dumplings and get some clothes ready

  369. because brother yoon was going to come So he

  370. got the dumplings, ate, got some fresh, you know,

  371. out of his prison clothes, and then went on to

  372. continue to preach the gospel. That was just

  373. one of five times that he was in a Chinese prison.

  374. The other man that was his, actually his pastor

  375. and spiritual father who was the one that touched

  376. the gates of these, the doors of these prisons,

  377. was in there for 25 years in a Chinese prison.

  378. 25 years. suffering, torture, and shame for the

  379. name of Christ. Amazing. But what inspires that

  380. in someone? That's the question you walk away

  381. with. Why would you do that? We have this comfort

  382. level here in the West, and they have this persecution

  383. that's happening. How can you endure that? And

  384. I walked away with one answer, and that is a

  385. deep conviction of the reality of the gospel.

  386. Like what we're talking about, just seared in

  387. the depths of his spirit and the mentality of

  388. victory. How could someone be sustained in that?

  389. How could John the Apostle be sustained in the

  390. Isle of Patmos being banished? How could Peter

  391. endure being crucified upside down? A deep conviction

  392. for Christ crucified and Jesus alive. Amen? Let's

  393. get it. Let's get it. Let's appreciate what Jesus

  394. has done. So, knowing that our old name was crucified.

  395. So, we were crucified with Christ. When he died,

  396. we died. When he was buried, we were buried.

  397. Now, catch this. When he rose from the grave,

  398. we rose from the grave. Christianity begins at

  399. the resurrection of Jesus Christ. That's our

  400. starting place. That's our rallying point. Death

  401. happens on the cross, but Christianity starts

  402. when Jesus rose from the grave. Put 2 Corinthians

  403. 5 .17. Let's just get on a power verse and let's

  404. just go for it here. Let's just let it rip. 2

  405. Corinthians 5 .17. I feel like we're just going

  406. to plow the devil over today. Therefore, if anyone

  407. is in Christ, he's a new creation. Old things

  408. have passed away. Behold, all things have become

  409. new. Is anyone in Christ in this room? If anyone

  410. is in Christ, old things have passed. What has

  411. passed? What passed on the cross? Sin, death,

  412. sickness. Sin and its dirty effects. Old things

  413. have passed away. Breaking news. You cannot be

  414. a sinner and a new creation at the same time.

  415. You are not a sinner if you are in Christ. You

  416. are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

  417. I know that we have a practice of confessing

  418. our sins. When's the last time you confessed

  419. your sins? Maybe this morning. But when's the

  420. last time you confessed your righteousness? Old

  421. things pass. All things have become new. Jesus

  422. is alive, and we're alive with him. I'm just

  423. going to let the word speak for itself today.

  424. Look at Galatians chapter 2. Verse 20. Galatians

    Galatians 2 chapter mention

  425. 2 .20. This is Paul, but you can put yourself

  426. here in this verse. I have been crucified with

  427. Christ. So you can quote this. I have been crucified

  428. with Christ. Have you been crucified with Christ?

  429. You were crucified with Christ. I have been crucified

  430. with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but

  431. Christ. So what happens when you're crucified

  432. with Christ? It's no longer us that live, but

  433. Christ lives in me. And the life which I now

  434. live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the

  435. Son of God who loved me and gave himself for

  436. me. I was crucified. I was buried. And I was

  437. risen with Christ. Amen? Is that real to your

  438. spirit? Yeah? Were you crucified with Christ?

  439. Or are you in bondage to sin? Are you in bondage

  440. to fear? Are you in bondage to death? Or did

  441. Jesus kick death, defeat death, defeat sin, defeat

  442. the devil? Yes? He defeated sin. He defeated

  443. the devil. He overcame death. He triumphed. See,

  444. Jesus blasted sin on the cross. Therefore, our

  445. preaching should be blasting sin. And if you

  446. came in today with sin or sins in your life,

  447. then the preaching isn't you should do this or

  448. that. The preaching is, hey, everyone, it's good

  449. news. Jesus paid the price for your sins. That's

  450. how you blast it. If you're struggling with fear

  451. in your life, It's, hey, everyone, Jesus released

  452. us from the bondage of fear. He hasn't given

  453. us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and

  454. sound mind. So our life, our preaching, our prayers,

  455. we should, just like Jesus blasted these things

  456. on the cross, we should blast them with our prayer,

  457. blast them with our preaching, blast them with

  458. our Bible reading. I mean, I... Oh, Lord. It's

  459. time that we awaken to these things. It's time

  460. that we awaken to the simplicity of the gospel.

  461. Yeah? Anybody just, I mean... I want the lion

  462. to awaken inside of me. Think of this. Christianity

  463. is a strong man's thing. We've too often, I don't

  464. want to be critical of anyone, okay? I love everyone.

  465. I love you. I love the body of Christ. But we've

  466. too often glorified the weakness. Of the human

  467. condition. The gospel is not the glorification

  468. of the human weakness condition. Listen. The

  469. gospel is not glorifying human weakness. The

  470. gospel is the destruction of human weakness to

  471. glorify the risen Christ. Oh my. Because our

  472. God doesn't just. Come with us in the trials

  473. of life Are there trials in life are there challenges

  474. are the yes praise God for those But the message

  475. is that In Christ, we are led in victory. We

  476. are led in triumph. We are more than conquerors.

  477. He who is in us is greater than he who is in

  478. the world. I have been crucified to sin, to weakness,

  479. to death, to destruction, to fear. I was crucified

  480. on the cross. And when he rose up, I rose up

  481. to walk in new, victorious, glorious life. Therefore,

  482. let sin not reign over you anymore. Let death

  483. not reign anymore. Let sickness not reign anymore.

  484. Let fear not reign anymore. Are we awakening

  485. some sleeping lions in this place? Are you fed

  486. up with the devil? That's what it takes. taking

  487. the pill of religion and defeat. I want the risen

  488. Christ to be manifest in my life. I want what

  489. the word says. I want it. I want it. It's true.

  490. It's reality. I don't care about eloquence. I

  491. don't care about saying the right words. I know

  492. that Jesus died and rose again and destroyed

  493. death and destroyed sin and destroyed sickness

  494. and destroyed fear. That's what I know. And I

  495. want to eat of the fruit of what he has done.

  496. That's what I'm interested in. And then I want

  497. to help people get in this victory. And I see

  498. a church who can jump into the victory of the

  499. resurrected Christ. And if a fear or a devil

  500. tries to do anything in any of our lives, then

  501. we know, hey, he's done it. He's overcome. He's

  502. won the victory. And we bind together and we

  503. strengthen ourselves together in the reality

  504. of the gospel. And we kick that thing out of

  505. each other's lives. And we become a city set

  506. on a hill. We become the light of the world.

  507. What do they have? How do we explain these people?

  508. Walking. In victory. Walking in the light of

  509. truth. Walking in resurrection light. How do

  510. we explain it? I don't know, but we better just

  511. go join them. That was the book of Acts model.

  512. The people would come and say, okay, what must

  513. I do to be saved? you remember that it was and

  514. of course they went and evangelized they did

  515. all these things but people would come hey what

  516. you have is real how do i get it let me tell

  517. you it's not complex God became a man, died on

  518. a cross, went to the grave, rose again after

  519. three days, sent his Holy Spirit to live inside

  520. of me. Now I'm a witness to that resurrection,

  521. and I walk in that divine life and power. I don't

  522. let my mind deviate from the simplicity of that

  523. gospel. I mean, I believe, guys, it's time that

  524. we just bury ourselves in this gospel. Bury ourselves

  525. in the life of Christ and just go for it all

  526. the way. If one person in this room leaves today

  527. with some fresh fire in their spirit to bury

  528. themselves in Christ, to really go for this thing

  529. with all of their life, if one person, I'll be

  530. so happy. I'd say, okay, that's it. There may

  531. be 30 people that just say, I don't know what

  532. he was talking about. I don't know. He was yelling

  533. and screaming and sweating. face is red i don't

  534. know but let's go to lunch but if one person

  535. just says i'm done with devil i'm done with everything

  536. that jesus paid the price for and i'm going to

  537. live in this resurrection life if one person

  538. does i'll be happy crucified with christ crucified

  539. with christ buried with christ that means you

  540. know That means I lost my vote because I was

  541. crucified with him. You know, any person who's

  542. ever made impact for Jesus had one thing, if

  543. nothing else. I'm not here to please man. I don't

  544. care what you think of me. I don't care what

  545. man thinks of me. I'm here to live for Jesus

  546. Christ. That's what it means to be crucified

  547. with Christ, among many other things. Somebody

  548. said, a little boy came to their dad and said,

  549. Pop, how do I know that I'm dead in Christ? How

  550. do I know that I've died to myself? And he said,

  551. well, son, go to the grave over here. I want

  552. you to just curse them. this person in the grave.

  553. Say everything bad you can say about him, and

  554. come back and tell me what happens. Okay, so

  555. he comes back. What happened? Well, nothing.

  556. He didn't say anything. He says, okay, well,

  557. now go and just praise this person and tell everything

  558. good about this person, and come back and tell

  559. me what happens. So the little boy went and said

  560. he did it, and he came back. He said, Pop, I

  561. did it. What happened? They didn't say anything.

  562. Okay, that's what it means to be dead to yourself.

  563. Not swayed by the applause, not swayed by the

  564. ridicule, but totally buried in Christ. What

  565. was Paul's revelation? It's not I that live.

  566. I'm dead. I am out of the picture. It is no longer

  567. I but Christ. Christ is everything. Christ is

  568. my life. Jesus and him resurrected is the essence

  569. of my being. Yes, the essence of my being, Christ,

  570. Jesus. Hallelujah. Look at Colossians chapter

    Colossians 3 chapter mention

  571. 3. We're crucified with him, buried with him,

  572. raised with him. Look at verse 1. If you believe

  573. that, does anybody believe that? Okay, well then

  574. this message is for you. If you believe that

  575. you're crucified with him, if you believe that

  576. you were buried with him, if you believe that

  577. you're raised with him, then he says, seek those

  578. things which are above, where Christ is sitting

  579. at the right hand of God. Anyone ever heard,

  580. don't be so heavenly minded that you're no earthly

  581. good? What do you think about that after hearing

  582. this scripture? So what happens is when we come

  583. into Christ, we're crucified to our Adam nature.

  584. We're crucified to sin. We're crucified to the

  585. world. We're crucified to all the effects of

  586. that sin. We're buried with Christ. We're raised

  587. with Christ. Then actually, Not theoretically,

  588. not theologically, not mystically. Actually,

  589. our life then is hidden with Christ in God. The

  590. reality of who we are is right there, seated

  591. in God, seated in Christ. That would mean we

  592. were crucified with him. We were buried with

  593. him. We rose from the grave with him. But then

  594. when he ascended, think about it. What does it

  595. mean to follow Christ? Follow him to the cross.

  596. Follow him to the grave. Follow him in the resurrection.

  597. And then he didn't stop at just resurrection.

  598. He lifted up. I mean, this. Think about it. There's

  599. men and women watching, and Jesus said, I want

  600. you to go in Jerusalem and wait until you be

  601. endued with power from on high. And as he's talking,

  602. he just starts lifting up from the air. It wasn't

  603. like, you know, beam me up, Scotty. It was a

  604. slow levitation. He just started going, and their

  605. jaws were on the floor. If there was any doubt

  606. about this man being God, We watched him go into

  607. heaven. So if you were there, do you think you

  608. would have gone to the upper room? I probably

  609. would have said, okay, whatever you say, sir,

  610. I'll be there in the upper room. So he went up

  611. into heaven. He rose from the earth. And then

  612. Paul gets this revelation that in the same way,

  613. when you come into Christ, you raise up with

  614. him. What does it mean? You ascend above the

  615. things of the earth. My life is no longer, anybody

  616. grow up in church hearing earthly, don't be earthly,

  617. don't be worldly. Well, that always confused

  618. me. Well, how am I not going to be worldly? I'm

  619. right here in this world. What does it mean?

  620. It means that your life, the actual life that

  621. you have, think of it like this. A dog has dog

  622. life. Right? A cat has cat life. I see some of

  623. you kind of smiling like, come on, is this elementary

  624. school? Maybe. That's kind of how I think. I'm

  625. pretty elementary. I just want it to make sense.

  626. A dog has dog life. A cat has cat life. A tree

  627. has tree life. When we're born into this world

  628. from our mama and papa, we're born with human

  629. life. But that life is full of corruption and

  630. sin and mess. So when Jesus died on the cross,

  631. he killed that life. Because remember, I said

  632. he breathed that life out. He said, it's finished.

  633. This life is done. Come on, can you bear with

  634. me? God can't die. Right? The Word can't die.

  635. We can agree, right? So, if the Word can't die,

  636. how did Jesus die? He died as a man. He died

  637. as Adam. Why am I saying this? Why does the Gospel

  638. say it? Because... We want to really, really

  639. get the understanding that sin no longer has

  640. dominion over me. Death no longer has dominion

  641. over me because that life is actually, factually

  642. dead. So he died. He became a man so that he

  643. could die. And he died as Adam. So that human

  644. life, that life died. That was a type of life.

  645. Then he rose from the grave. Now think of it.

  646. Is everybody with me? Okay, think of it. He said,

  647. it is finished. All the blood left his body,

  648. right? He breathed his last. There was there

  649. now on the cross, Jesus Christ, hands spread,

  650. nails, nails. crown of thorns, nails. Now, did

  651. he have two nails? Was it in the wrist? I don't

  652. know. But he's there on the cross. He says, it's

  653. finished. And he closes Adam, closes the door

  654. on Adam, and they take a body from the cross

  655. that is no life, no blood. It's flesh and it's

  656. bone. And they put that body into... Joseph's

  657. tomb, right? With no flesh, no bone, I'm sorry,

  658. no blood, and no breath, no life. The life of

  659. the body, gone. Then Jesus, in the grave, after

  660. three days, three nights, I've never seen the

  661. chosen, but I think it's the chosen, right, where

  662. he wakes up. Something happens. What happens?

  663. Life comes into his body. But wait, what life

  664. is it? The life on the cross left him. And he,

  665. as a man, died. But then he's in the grave and

  666. life comes. What life is it? The Bible says that

  667. Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of

  668. the Father. The life that left his body was the

  669. life of man that each of us are born into this

  670. world with, the life of sin. He became sin. Are

  671. you with me? He became sin. He didn't become

  672. sins. He became sin, which was a life, a nature.

  673. He became sin on the cross. Buried sin. Then

  674. life came into his body. It was the spirit of

  675. life from God. And the Bible says that in that

  676. moment, Jesus became the first person to be born

  677. again. Old things had passed. Why? Because life

  678. was crucified on the cross and buried in the

  679. grave, a body with no life, no blood, no breath.

  680. And then after three days, Jesus didn't, it wasn't

  681. a restoration, you understand? It wasn't a remodel.

  682. It was a new life, a new order. He changed lives.

  683. The life that was now, animating the person of

  684. Jesus after he rose from the grave was zoe life

  685. of God what we call eternal life he could walk

  686. through walls he could he was the new creation

  687. the firstborn the firstborn the firstborn you

  688. see it he was no longer Adam man. He was now

  689. God man. Zoe life man. He has a body, but his

  690. body now, instead of having blood and the breath

  691. of Adam, it has the spirit of God. Now, come

  692. on, we're getting deeper, I know, but listen,

  693. this is so powerful. This can do so much in our

  694. day -to -day lives. Romans 8 -11. We can maybe

  695. come back to that. Just forget about having points

  696. and all that, okay? I'm sorry. We're just rolling.

  697. I want to live forever. That's important to me.

  698. And I shall. Romans 8, 11. And you shall too.

  699. Now, look at this. If the spirit of him who raised

  700. Jesus, so... there's a mystery revealed, right?

  701. How did Jesus get raised from the dead? The Spirit

  702. of God, this great Holy Ghost, raised Jesus from

  703. the dead. Now, if that Spirit does what? Dwells

  704. in you. That's born again. I've come through

  705. the cross. I've come through the grave. I've

  706. come through the resurrection, and now the life

  707. in my body is the same life that was in Jesus

  708. on the cross? No. It was on Jesus and in Jesus

  709. after he rose from the grave. You see it? What

  710. does it mean to be a Christian then? The life

  711. of Adam leaves, and the life of Jesus, the Spirit

  712. of God that raised him from the dead, is now

  713. my actual life. Not someday, whenever I enter

  714. the pearly gates, not someday when my body perishes.

  715. Now, eternal life. Now, life. Now, the same life

  716. that raised Jesus. now dwells inside of this

  717. body. My body is the temple of this life. I've

  718. changed lives. Born again, not after flesh and

  719. blood, not after flesh and bone. I was born of

  720. my mama once, but I was born of God again. I'm

  721. a new creation, a new man. The old me died on

  722. the cross. The new me rose with Christ, and now

  723. I'm filled with the... Resurrection life of God.

  724. Yeah? How could death have its way in me? I will

  725. never die. See how strong the gospel is? Man,

  726. it just puts something in you. You know, people

  727. say, you don't say that. The devil's going to

  728. get riled up and come at you. I wish he would.

  729. He's scared of me. I put him on the run. That's

  730. the mentality of a Christian. Oh, don't do that

  731. because there's a witch in that neighborhood.

  732. They may curse you. I'll curse the witch. Come

  733. on. I've got the life of resurrection in me.

  734. It's not me boasting. It's just me agreeing with

  735. what the Scripture says. I mean, either God is...

  736. Very schizophrenic and confused, or he means

  737. what he says, and if he means what he says, that

  738. means you and you and you and me have the life

  739. of resurrection in every fiber of our beings.

  740. And we've come into union with the resurrected

  741. Christ. Sin is not even a consciousness on my

  742. radar. That's such a low thing. My mind is set

  743. on things above. My mind is set upon resurrection,

  744. enthroned, all authority, Christ. I have no time

  745. to even think about sin. I don't consider it.

  746. Why? Because through one sacrifice, forever,

  747. he has destroyed sin on the cross. It's no longer

  748. a factor in my life. I live in resurrection.

  749. I live in Christ. where there is no sin, where

  750. moth and rust does not decay. That's where we

  751. are. That's where we're seated. Where's the devil?

  752. Under our feet. Where's sin? On the cross. How

  753. do you get free from sin? Oh, sin, sin, sin.

  754. How do I get free? Stop focusing on sin. Jesus

  755. destroyed it on the cross. The more you focus

  756. on it, the more you empower it. All you do is

  757. surrender to the cross. That is victory over

  758. sin. You don't need gospel and. You just need

  759. gospel. That is freedom. I feel like I'm preaching

  760. this a lot better than you're responding, if

  761. I can just be honest. I'm doing the best I can.

  762. I'm doing my level best here. I want us to get

  763. so stirred up and so filled up with the life

  764. of God, the reality of the gospel, and all of

  765. our doing is out of inspiration. Hello, have

  766. you heard about Jesus? Jesus loves you. For God

  767. so loved the world that he gave... No! Pooey!

  768. It's got to be born out of... I want to wake

  769. up in the morning and say, yes, I'm alive in

  770. Christ today. World, the lion is awake. You better

  771. watch out. I'm ready to blast sin because my

  772. Savior blasted it. I'm ready to blast sickness

  773. because my Savior blasted it. I'm ready to blast

  774. death because my Savior blasted it. And I believe

  775. that. I believe that. Your life, your life is

  776. the answer to the cry of the masses. If you have

  777. the gospel, He said it's not a cunningly devised

  778. fable. This is not a made -up thing. This is

  779. life and life eternal. And in this message is

  780. the power of God. He's vested all of who he is

  781. in this message. Jesus died. You died. Jesus

  782. buried. You buried. Jesus rose again. You rose

  783. again. Jesus ascended and you ascended. Jesus

  784. seated and you seated. And if you can get that

  785. message into somebody's heart, that is all the

  786. deliverance they will ever need. That's all that

  787. they'll ever need. All things that pertain to

  788. life and godliness in that right there. It reveals

  789. your relationship to everything that you will

  790. ever face. What is my relationship to God? Son.

  791. What is my relationship to devil? Master. What

  792. is my relationship to you? Brother. Sister. What

  793. is my relationship to sin? Master. What is my

  794. relationship to death? Master. What is my relationship

  795. to wife? I love you, babe. That's all we need

  796. to know. Everything I encounter in life, I just

  797. need to know what is my relationship to it. That's

  798. it. Life is just a series of answering that one

  799. question. If I can answer that one question,

  800. I'll live in the purpose and will of God for

  801. my life. Our problem is not that this is, if

  802. you don't hear anything else, hear this with

  803. all of your heart. He who has ears to hear. I

  804. say that because Jesus said it. And I like Jesus.

  805. We don't have a problem with believing the Bible.

  806. If I surveyed all of you in this room, you would

  807. say, I believe the Bible with all of my heart.

  808. I'm ready and willing to believe it, right? Maybe

  809. not. I don't know. It wasn't much of a... I could

  810. be wrong. Where am I? Is this the Mormon church?

  811. Lord Jesus, I'm sorry. You don't have a problem

  812. believing the Bible. I'm ready. I want to believe

  813. the Bible. Our problem is just understanding

  814. the Bible. Because if we understand it, I'm ready

  815. for full throttle, right? So if we can just buy

  816. into the simplicity of the gospel and just say

  817. this is the understanding of understandings and

  818. I'm ready to burn it all down and cast my all

  819. upon Jehovah and go 100 % in and for this gospel.

  820. Because I understand what he's done for me. I

  821. see what he's done. I see who he is. And then

  822. I see who I am. And I see who my challenge is.

  823. And I see my relationship to it. Is that bearing

  824. witness with anybody? Then all of our doing,

  825. all of our doing is just so wonderful. I'm so

  826. happy to... I preach the gospel to one or to

  827. one million. I'm so happy just to let my life

  828. be the essence and overflow of what he has done

  829. and who he is. And my whole thought, my whole

  830. thought life is just wrapped up in and totally

  831. engrossed in the thought of Jesus and his gospel

  832. and what he's done and who he is. There's nothing

  833. else like it. There's nothing else. So good.

  834. Jesus is so good. He's so wonderful. He said,

  835. all authority in heaven and earth has been given

  836. to me. All authority given to him. He has all

  837. power, all authority, all might. Don't ever get

  838. entangled with a demon again. Don't ever get

  839. messed up in sin again. The prison doors are

  840. open. Jesus has overcome. He's seated in heavenly

  841. places. Let's look at Ephesians chapter 2. I

    Ephesians 2 chapter mention

  842. don't even know what time it is. Did I not say

  843. verse? Let's just read verse 1. We'll read a

  844. few verses, and then I'm going to share a few

  845. testimonies, and then we're going to pray, okay?

  846. We'll be right out. And you he made alive. Remember?

  847. Resurrection. You he made alive. But I thought

  848. I was alive. Well, you were, but you died on

  849. the cross. Now you were made alive. Even though

  850. you were dead in trespasses and sins, now you

  851. are alive again, in which you once walked according

  852. to the course of this world, according to the

  853. prince of the power of the air, the spirit who

  854. now works in the sons of disobedience, among

  855. whom also we all conduct ourselves in the lust

  856. of the flesh. Verse 5. Even when we were dead

  857. in trespasses, were dead. In trespasses. He made

  858. us alive together with Christ. There it is. See

  859. that beautiful union. The beautiful synergy of

  860. us and Christ. Made us alive together with Christ.

  861. Then stop there. Look at verse 6. And raised

  862. us up together. Have you been raised with Christ?

  863. Now that doesn't mean just raised from the dead.

  864. Look. Raised us up together and what? Made us

  865. sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

  866. When? It's already done. Where are you? Where

  867. are we? What does it mean? I remember one time

  868. we were in Cuba and we just let it rip about

  869. the gospel for several days. And I asked the

  870. worship leader, I said, what's one thing you

  871. could take away from this? this week of meetings

  872. that we've had and preaching, what's one thing?

  873. And she looked at me and said, all I need to

  874. do is sit down. I said, yes, that's exactly right.

  875. Just sit down. Don't punch the air, like Paul

  876. says, and have activity with no power. Just sit

  877. down and let the power of the resurrection work

  878. in your life. Amen? Yes, this is real. I wish

  879. we could go on. I'd love to just continue. But

  880. to your much relief, I just want to share a few

  881. testimonies, and then we're going to pray. Anybody

  882. feel like their faith is just getting stirred

  883. up a little bit and feeling like, man, what I've

  884. signed up here with Jesus, I mean, this thing

  885. is big. This thing is real. Anybody? Can we put

  886. some of those testimonies up? I don't need no

  887. particular order. So this little boy, you remember

  888. this boy? I wish the pictures were a little bigger,

  889. but I think you can see. This is a young boy

  890. and his dad. This little boy, if you see up close,

  891. his eyes are just sparkling. His eyes are just

  892. so beautiful. But when he came to the meeting,

  893. and this is in Cuba. He came to the meeting,

  894. his eyes, he had these glasses that were so thick,

  895. he couldn't see. And I think, was he probably

  896. 10 or 12? He couldn't do schoolwork, he couldn't

  897. function, because he was basically blind. But

  898. he could see some light, but he had these big

  899. glasses. And so he came to the meeting, we prayed

  900. for him very simply, in the name of Jesus, be

  901. healed, and look at his eyes. God opened his

  902. eyes up, and he started seeing properly, seeing

  903. rightly. I don't know if it's 20 -20 vision,

  904. but it's good vision. And so, yes, please. Jesus

  905. did it. And so now he's my little buddy every

  906. time I go. You know, I have to go see him. And

  907. he met him, and his dad messages me. And he's

  908. just doing very wonderfully. But Jesus opened

  909. his eyes. We can go on. I don't know if you can

  910. read this. So this is our pastor in India who

  911. he'll send me testimonies. So he said, this woman,

  912. and bear with his English, this woman gave birth

  913. to a baby boy. It was dead, and the doctor said,

  914. go and bury it. And she was giving, this is her

  915. picture, giving testimony that when she was pregnant,

  916. she prayed to God, I need one baby boy after

  917. four girls. But it was dead. And our pastor,

  918. these are their names, Badar and Dinesh, prayed

  919. for her. And her child started to cry. The doctor

  920. said, go bury the baby. And they prayed, and

  921. the baby started crying. And he said, there's

  922. a great miracle happened in that village called

  923. Mosca Mauri. And her name is Kavita, and today

  924. she brought the baby to the house church. Amen.

  925. Jesus did it. Jesus is alive. Okay, this guy,

  926. obviously he's just cool, but I did it out of

  927. order. Can you go over one? Okay, you see him.

  928. I don't know if you remember this guy. Haas and

  929. Jennifer and Sean and Leslie, but they're not

  930. here, and Michelle, we went to Cuba. And this

  931. guy, he had the very, I don't know if it was

  932. asthma. I'm not 100 % sure, but he had difficulty

  933. breathing. And so you see him here, and he's...

  934. He's demonstrating his ability to breathe freely,

  935. and he was just so happy. You can see even like

  936. the next few days in the trip, he's just like

  937. always come up to me and like show me how he

  938. was so happy and so free. So we can go to the

  939. next one. There he is again. Victory. So this

  940. little girl, she came to our meeting in Pakistan.

  941. We had a crusade where they invited just a bunch

  942. of people. Muslims, everybody. And so we're preaching

  943. in Pakistan, and there's people there, and we

  944. don't know who's listening, probably mostly Muslim.

  945. And I had a word, what you may call like a word

  946. of knowledge, that there's a girl here who half

  947. your body is paralyzed or mostly paralyzed, and

  948. God wants to heal you. And so... I just went

  949. out on a limb. I said, if that's you, come up

  950. here. And there's like, you know, thousands of

  951. people there. And actually several people came

  952. up, which is kind of awkward. But she came up

  953. and she stood right in front of me and we prayed

  954. and she got healed there on the podium in front

  955. of everyone. And then we found out she was a

  956. Muslim. So then she gave her heart to Christ

  957. and then she immediately got plugged into the

  958. house church. And you can see from her face.

  959. How excited and happy she was to have met Jesus.

  960. How many more we got? Okay, this is our pastor

  961. again in India. Praise the Lord, sir. Kindly

  962. pray for Sister Huki. She got healing from leprosy

  963. in a village called Baharmak in Madhya Pradesh.

  964. So this is her. I wish you could zoom in, but

  965. you can see her showing her arms that were leprous.

  966. And you can see how the wounds on her arms had

  967. healed up and she still had the spots, but the

  968. leprosy was gone. So you can go on. So this one

  969. I added because I thought it would be neat just

  970. to tell you, but several, maybe several months

  971. ago, I was ministering here and I did something

  972. that was very uncomfortable and very, it's a

  973. challenge for me. And it was... beginning of

  974. service i said i want to pray for anyone who

  975. has hearing problems or you know deaf ears and

  976. i did it and but it was just sheer obedience

  977. because i've been praying before church back

  978. here nobody knows this i was praying back there

  979. and i felt the lord say pray for people who have

  980. problems hearing i said no i don't want to do

  981. that you know it's like this such a you know

  982. in front of everyone well as i'm praying this

  983. message comes in This is our pastor from India.

  984. He said, praise the Lord, sir, this young man

  985. from Madhya Pradesh was not able to hear from

  986. both ears. He was deaf. And God healed him, and

  987. he started to hear or listen. Now kindly pray

  988. for us today. We're doing work for church building.

  989. So I get this message as I'm wrestling with the

  990. Lord on if I should do this or not. So I said,

  991. okay, Lord, I'll do it. And we did it. So praise

  992. God, this man was deaf. Amen. Just one or two

  993. more, we'll pray. He was suffering from devil

  994. spirits more than 15 years. He lost his wife,

  995. his two sons, his daughter. He used to cut himself

  996. in his body. Yeah, he was healed. He used to

  997. be bound with chains. So that's common practice

  998. there. So he's still in fellowship in the church.

  999. Let's go on. Okay, can we play this one? You'll

1000. like this one. for people to pray for each other,

1001. I felt called to go to Brad and ask him to pray

1002. for me. We were all praying for each other in

1003. the church. I hadn't been sleeping well at all

1004. because my back and my shoulders were in pain,

1005. keeping my husband awake. This had been going

1006. on for months, and so he began to pray, and then

1007. tears began to well up in my eyes and run down

1008. my face, and I began to feel. coldness like ice

1009. water across my shoulders and down the middle

1010. of my back. It stopped about the middle of my

1011. back, which is where the pain stops. When it

1012. got to where that area where my back didn't hurt,

1013. it quit. And it just stayed cold for the longest

1014. time. And for the first time in months that night,

1015. I slept flat on my back. I slept all night. I

1016. didn't wake up to even get up, do anything. I

1017. just slept peacefully, calmly all night long.

1018. Night two, I slept all night. Night three, I

1019. slept all night. And I've slept every night.

1020. Some nights, not even waking up to go to the

1021. bathroom or anything, just slept all night. And

1022. I wake up every morning, bright and early. Where

1023. I'd been waking up, I just was still exhausted.

1024. Okay, thank you. Amen. How awesome. So Jesus

1025. is alive. That's the point. Why am I showing

1026. you this? Because Jesus is alive. And you can

1027. believe the gospel with all of your heart. And

1028. Jesus is the same in the Bible as he is today

1029. in this room. So if you would just close your

1030. eyes with me. We're going to pray out. And if

1031. anybody wants or needs prayer, this is what I

1032. feel to do. You believe the gospel, okay? And

1033. this is what I'm going to ask you to do as we're

1034. dismissed. We're going to pray out. And if you

1035. desire prayer, if there's some challenge in your

1036. body, in your mind, in your spirit, or something

1037. that you want to overcome, grab the person next

1038. to you and have them pray for you on the basis

1039. of what we talked about today. Okay? Just be

1040. bold, be open, and if that's you, and just believe

1041. God for your miracle to happen today. Okay? So

1042. with our eyes closed, we're going to pray. And

1043. it will be dismissed. Father, we thank you so

1044. much for Jesus. We thank you for the gospel.

1045. We thank you for your words. We thank you for

1046. everything that you've done for us. Lord, we

1047. just receive it in humility. And may we walk

1048. from this place in the boldness of what you've

1049. done and what you've accomplished for us like

1050. never before in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Amen.
