  1. Let's go.

  2. Thanks, man.

  3. Guys, we've been talking about people being forged at Gilgal.

  4. We started five weeks ago or six weeks ago.

  5. And the whole idea is we are approaching this theme called

  6. authentic sun's open heaven.

  7. What does it take to walk the earth as an authentic sun

  8. so that the heavens, or the favor of God,

  9. and the scepter of God that is outstretched,

  10. may be something that we walk under continuously?

  11. And we said that one of the stages

  12. that we have to go through is to become a people forged

  13. at Gilgal, readied at Gilgal.

  14. And we've talked about reconciliation.

  15. We've talked about different things

  16. that we have to work into and through our lives

  17. so that we be ready.

  18. So that just as Jesus stepped out of the Jordan

  19. as an authentic sun, and the heavens were torn open,

  20. and the Father said, this is my son in whom I'm well pleased.

  21. Listen to him.

  22. In the same way, us as an authentic son called Acts 29

  23. has to step out of the Jordan so that God can say,

  24. this is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased.

  25. Listen to Acts 29 because they've become an oracle of God

  26. here on earth.

  27. That's the place we are heading towards.

  28. And so today, I just want to say that it's

  29. the privilege of every Christian to partake in God's grace.

  30. But we want to pick on a passage today in the Old Testament

  31. where we hear God saying, listen, as priests,

  32. you can partake in my grace anytime.

  33. But if you want to be a dispenser of grace,

  34. if you want to be someone who ministers grace to others,

  35. then you have to be readied into a certain type of people.

  36. And that's what you're going to talk about today.

  37. So if you want to turn to Leviticus 21.

  38. Leviticus 21.

  39. Leviticus 21.

  40. And I think once we are done with this,

  41. we can move on from Gilgal to other things.

  42. And if possible, I was telling Wayne

  43. that he should put all the five CDs of the last five weeks

  44. together because it will form what

  45. is something that you can listen to during the rest of December

  46. so that you enter into this new season starting

  47. Jain as a person fully formed at Gilgal,

  48. having taken the trouble to deal with what needs

  49. to be dealt with in our lives.

  50. Leviticus 21.

  51. Leviticus 21.

  52. And I'm reading from verse 17 to 23.

  53. Here it goes.

  54. Leviticus 21, 17 to 23.

  55. Then the Lord said to Moses, starting at verse 16,

  56. the Lord said to Moses, say to Aaron,

  57. for the generations to come, none of your descendants

  58. who has a defect may come near to offer the food of his God.

  59. No man who has any defect may come near me.

  60. No man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed,

  61. no man with a crippled foot or hand

  62. or who is handicapped or dwarfed or who has an eye effect

  63. or who has festering or running sores or damaged testicles.

  64. No descendant of Aaron the priest who has any defect

  65. is to come near to present the offerings made to the Lord

  66. by fire.

  67. He has a defect.

  68. He must not come near to offer the food of his God.

  69. He may eat the most holy food of his God

  70. as well as the holy food, yet because of his defect,

  71. he must not go near the curtain or approach the altar

  72. and so desecrate my sanctuary.

  73. I am the Lord who makes them holy.

  74. Obviously, these are physical defects

  75. that were used in the Old Testament

  76. as banning the sons of Aaron from entering the sanctuary.

  77. These physical defects obviously don't transfer

  78. into the New Testament.

  79. We have to stand in the New Testament

  80. and look at the Old Testament and then interpret

  81. what the Old Testament is trying to say.

  82. So I said before, on one hand, we are, we are,

  83. yeah, don't worry about that.

  84. So these physical defects exclude no one today

  85. but must be viewed from the New Testament

  86. and it should be interpreted.

  87. So let's go through these different defects

  88. that are to prevent a person from being a minister

  89. or dispenser of grace.

  90. If you notice in Leviticus 21, it

  91. says, if you have these defects, you are not excluded

  92. from eating of the bread.

  93. You are not excluded from partaking in grace.

  94. But if you want to offer the bread before God,

  95. if you want to offer things before God,

  96. if you want to minister before God,

  97. if you want to be a dispenser of grace for God,

  98. then you have to be defect less, blemish less, fault less,

  99. flaw less.

  100. That's why I've titled it Quality Control

  101. because here is a chance for us to look at our lives

  102. and see if things need to be arranged.

  103. And I've had so much fun going over each of these

  104. and trying to make adjustments.

  105. The first one that's mentioned, then,

  106. depending on the kind of Bible you're reading,

  107. the words differ.

  108. In some Bibles, they say eunuch.

  109. In other Bibles, they say damaged testicles.

  110. In some Bibles, they say dwarf.

  111. In other Bibles, they say handicapped.

  112. In some Bibles, they say eczema.

  113. In other Bibles, they say scurvy.

  114. In other Bibles, they say festering sores.

  115. So we'll take all those words together

  116. and see what God is trying to say.

  117. So the first one is blindness.

  118. Blindness here, how do we interpret it

  119. in the New Testament?

  120. It is a lack of vision or no vision

  121. for the purposes of God.

  122. No vision for the purposes of God.

  123. No vision or lack of vision for the purposes of God.

  124. A lack of vision for the purposes of God.

  125. And I so strongly encourage you to go home

  126. and check if this is true of me, true of you.

  127. Do I have an idea of the vision or the purpose of God

  128. for me in general for life, or specifically for life,

  129. or specifically for the year ahead,

  130. or specifically for today?

  131. Do I have a vision of the purpose of God for me?

  132. And if I don't, why don't I?

  133. And if I don't, is it important that I have one?

  134. Why is it that I don't have one?

  135. So that's something I'd so strongly encourage you

  136. to look at each one of them.

  137. Because Proverbs 29, verse 18 says

    Proverbs 29:18

  138. that my people perish for the lack of vision.

  139. In another place it says,

  140. because my people don't have vision,

  141. they have cast off their restraint.

  142. Which is to say that now that I am purposeless,

  143. I can go any which way because purposelessness allows me

  144. to be blown like the wind any which way I want.

  145. But once there's the vision,

  146. once you understand the purpose of your life,

  147. understand the purpose your family has here on earth.

  148. I mean, you know families of destiny?

  149. You know that Marcus, Ryan, and Laurie,

  150. I called you Rosalyn once.

  151. Marcus, Ryan, and Laurie have a destiny as a family?

  152. That this family is meant to leave a legacy here on earth?

  153. That Elmer, Anne, and their children and grandchildren

  154. have a destiny appointed to them here on earth?

  155. God always operated in clan, stripes, families.

  156. What is it?

  157. What is your purpose?

  158. Let me assure you that when a people continue

  159. for a period of time without vision or purpose,

  160. they cast off restraint.

  161. It becomes, what's the point?

  162. I can be anything I want to be because what's the point?

  163. I'm going to heaven, my ticket is secure.

  164. So be what you want to be.

  165. That's what happens.

  166. So check on that.

  167. And so what would be, I mean,

  168. one of the things I have often done,

  169. and I've told you about this,

  170. is whenever I feel even a little purposeless

  171. in terms of what the next step is,

  172. where is Acts 29 going, where is Jacob going,

  173. where is life supposed to go next year or tomorrow,

  174. I always go back and listen to what has been spoken over me.

  175. And our tendency is to think,

  176. but I've heard that three times, what can be new?

  177. I cannot tell you how much there is

  178. in what has been spoken over you by different people.

  179. Each time I listen to it, each time I read it,

  180. it's like digging out new treasure.

  181. Because if prophecy is genuine and is unadulterated,

  182. it is the counsel of God,

  183. and there is no fathoming the counsel of God.

  184. So if you think you've reached the end of it,

  185. you're wrong.

  186. Be proactive about this.

  187. I cannot emphasize it enough.

  188. So what I do is I'll go and listen.

  189. I'll listen to it again and again and again.

  190. This morning I was listening to what Eddie said.

  191. I was listening to it and I found something in it

  192. that I hadn't seen before.

  193. I found something in it that I should have heard

  194. before I went to Indonesia.

  195. Thank God it came to pass,

  196. but he had said something about Indonesia

  197. that I'm finding two months after I've come from Indonesia.

  198. Sometimes it's the grace of God.

  199. So do that.

  200. And the other thing we need to understand is that,

  201. guys, how do you know if you have vision?

  202. I'd say one of the litmus test is communicated.

  203. Let me hear you communicate the purpose

  204. you have here on earth.

  205. If I were to ask you right now,

  206. okay, you say you have vision, you have purpose,

  207. communicate it.

  208. And if you can communicate it with clarity,

  209. I would then say, yes, you do have a grasp of it.

  210. But if you cannot communicate it with clarity,

  211. if it is generic, if it is,

  212. yeah, God loves me and I'm his son,

  213. that's absolutely true, okay?

  214. I'm not saying no to that at all.

  215. But if it is in that area,

  216. then I'd say something needs to be studied even more.

  217. I mean, if I were to go up to Ryan and ask him,

  218. so what are you gonna do after grade 10?

  219. If he says, oh, I'm gonna study more, something is wrong.

  220. But guess what?

  221. If I ask him now, he's gonna tell me

  222. what he's gonna major in.

  223. Because he already knows.

  224. There is a clarity there.

  225. And if you read Habakkuk chapter two,

  226. you'll see that there's a,

  227. I mean, for every handicap here, we will have a solution.

  228. So the solution then for lack of purpose

  229. is one, obviously, to find it out

  230. because I really think that there is nobody in this house

  231. who does not already have some kind of an inkling

  232. as to where you're heading.

  233. If you've been in this house for more than six months,

  234. you have an idea of where you're going.

  235. Because God has touched your life prophetically.

  236. That's the nature of this house.

  237. So if you go to Habakkuk two,

  238. it's one of those books that plays hide and seek.

  239. Habakkuk two after Nahum, it doesn't help at all,

  240. and before Zephaniah.

  241. Habakkuk two, verses one and two.

  242. You'll see that it says there,

  243. I will stand at my watch and station myself on the ramparts.

  244. I will look to see what he will say to me

  245. and what answer I am to give to his complaint.

  246. Then the Lord replied.

  247. First, what does he say?

  248. What's the first word?

  249. Write down the revelation.

  250. So first thing you do if you want to crystallize

  251. or filter your vision,

  252. so you're going to write down the revelation.

  253. He says write down the revelation and make it what?

  254. Plain.

  255. Write it with clarity.

  256. There should be a clarity to it.

  257. And then he goes on to say write it,

  258. make it plain so that

  259. you can get it.

  260. So what is the first thing you do?

  261. Write down the revelation.

  262. So first thing you do is write down the revelation.

  263. At the appointed time,

  264. a herald may run with it

  265. for the revelation waits an appointed time,

  266. it will speak in the end.

  267. So guys, first you see it.

  268. So obviously purpose has to be seen

  269. and like I said in this house,

  270. you have begun to see what it is for you.

  271. Because really the destiny of this house

  272. is your destiny too,

  273. besides what God speaks to you individually.

  274. So you see it, you write it,

  275. there's clarity

  276. and then the herald cannot see it

  277. unless you communicate it.

  278. And once you communicate it,

  279. it's taken and then you act on it

  280. or initiate action on it.

  281. This is how vision is actually developed

  282. or crystallized or filtered

  283. so that it becomes something tangible.

  284. You see it or you hear it,

  285. you write it.

  286. I cannot tell you how to write it.

  287. I cannot tell you how important writing it is.

  288. You write it.

  289. After you write it,

  290. you go over it and you begin to see clarity in it.

  291. After clarity in it,

  292. now you have sufficient clarity

  293. in your spirit and in your mind

  294. to be able to communicate it.

  295. And once you've been communicated,

  296. now you're in a position

  297. where you can begin to act on it.

  298. This is how blindness

  299. in terms of a lack of vision

  300. for the purpose of God

  301. can be destroyed.

  302. Any questions?

  303. When does time play?

  304. Time plays in terms of

  305. once you begin to initiate action,

  306. then time has to unfold it

  307. because you can't push it,

  308. you can't hurry it,

  309. but you've initiated the action.

  310. Now God begins to cooperate

  311. because God does say,

  312. James, war with the prophetic word.

  313. Take it and war with it.

  314. Begin with it.

  315. I'll bring it to pass,

  316. but begin with it.

  317. If you do not initiate it,

  318. if you do not act on it,

  319. then Isaiah 7 applies,

  320. where because you did not believe,

  321. it was not established.

  322. There's that too.

  323. A prophetic word does not come to pass

  324. because it was not believed in,

  325. therefore it shall not be established.

  326. You know why I said my guitaring will improve?

  327. Because many years ago,

  328. a prophet came and said that

  329. I would be a very good instrumentalist.

  330. And I found that so not up my alley

  331. because I was a worship leader,

  332. not a guitarist,

  333. that I decided that I was going to put it

  334. on my prophetic shelf and not use it.

  335. And I have used as an example,

  336. many times to say,

  337. some people prophesy

  338. things that are not true.

  339. And I was talking to someone about how

  340. we need to take things that have been spoken

  341. and have to begin to apply it.

  342. And I felt the Lord saying,

  343. but you have things in your life

  344. that you haven't applied yet.

  345. And I had to go and examine it

  346. and this was one of them.

  347. So I remember walking in front of the Lord

  348. after I spoke to this person.

  349. I was saying to the Lord,

  350. your father,

  351. there was no reason to suspect

  352. what the guy said.

  353. It's just because it was not something

  354. I'm interested in

  355. or has been something that I'm fond of.

  356. And so today I undo what I've said

  357. and I want to become this asset

  358. or aspect that you wanted to bring into my life.

  359. And so I'm not surprised

  360. when my guitaring will begin to improve.

  361. And you guys will say,

  362. well, Jacob, your singing needs improvement now

  363. and stuff like that.

  364. So moving on.

  365. That's how it works.

  366. So time works that way.

  367. It happens when I agree.

  368. If I do not believe,

  369. I will not be established.

  370. That's what Isaiah 7 says.

  371. I think it's Isaiah 7.

  372. I don't remember it.

  373. I think it's an Isaiah 7.

  374. Yeah.

  375. Let's go on to lameness then.

  376. Lameness is...

  377. This is so sad, guys.

  378. What happens?

  379. Lameness...

  380. Lameness is when those who...

  381. Lameness happens to those who can see

  382. what God is saying,

  383. but don't have the ability to walk in it.

  384. But don't have the ability to walk in it.

  385. Can.

  386. Lameness...

  387. Lameness is when...

  388. It's a people or an individual

  389. who is aware of it.

  390. It's a people or an individual

  391. who is aware of it.

  392. And he can see.

  393. He can see what God is saying.

  394. He can see it.

  395. But he does not know or she does not know

  396. or does not have the ability to walk in it.

  397. I mean, one of the classic examples

  398. is the man at the beautiful gate

  399. in Acts chapter 3.

    Acts 3 chapter mention

  400. In Acts chapter 3, verse 2,

    Acts 3:2

  401. it says,

  402. There was a man who was lame from his mother's womb

  403. who was brought to the gate.

  404. What was the name of the gate?

  405. The beautiful gate at the temple.

  406. And he was left at the beautiful gate.

  407. And he would be there always at the right time.

  408. When the temple worship would start,

  409. he would be there.

  410. He could probably hear the worship.

  411. He knew what was happening inside,

  412. but he could not enter into it.

  413. It's someone who knows what is required,

  414. but does not know how to step into it.

  415. Some of us here know what is required of us.

  416. We know. We already know.

  417. But we have no idea.

  418. How the heck do I move from knowing

  419. to stepping into it?

  420. Mephi-Bosheith was like that.

  421. Mephi-Bosheith was Saul's grandson,

  422. Jonathan's son.

  423. David's friend Jonathan, his son.

  424. Mephi-Bosheith was meant to be king.

  425. But when he hears that David has defeated his dad,

  426. his granddad,

  427. his nurse picks him up

  428. and starts running,

  429. the boy drops out of her arm,

  430. falls on the ground,

  431. and he becomes lame.

  432. And so here is a king

  433. who is now lame,

  434. does not attain the throne,

  435. until David calls him into the palace.

  436. And he had everything that was required to be a king,

  437. but he ran and he could not even run at that

  438. because he was lame.

  439. So what's the solution?

  440. Another way of looking at it,

  441. to pick on a word that Anne had used,

  442. guys, these are people who get touched at every meeting.

  443. They go for different meetings all over the place.

  444. They get touched at all the meetings,

  445. but they don't know how to launch into orbit.

  446. The launching is missing.

  447. How was the meeting?

  448. Oh, brother, I was deeply touched.

  449. What's going to happen out of it?

  450. Nothing.

  451. Why? Because I have to go for another meeting

  452. and I have to go to another meeting

  453. and I have to go to another meeting

  454. and I have to go for another meeting to get deeply touched again.

  455. You guys are laughing.

  456. There's a place where after being touched,

  457. you have to be launched.

  458. And I'd suggest to you

  459. that the solution,

  460. what people normally resort to

  461. in terms of solutions is

  462. they resort to methods,

  463. they resort to church growth,

  464. they resort to formulas,

  465. they resort to fire conferences,

  466. they resort to somehow trying to activate what's in them.

  467. But I'd like to tell you that it is impossible

  468. to move from lameness

  469. unless you are somehow

  470. charged by the apostolic and the prophetic guys.

  471. Here was this lame man

  472. sitting at the beautiful gate.

  473. And what does he ask for?

  474. He asks for some arms.

  475. And who comes along?

  476. Peter and John.

  477. And what do they say to him?

  478. They say, look at us.

  479. There needs to be a penetration of that

  480. which is prophetic and apostolic

  481. to begin to push you into orbit, guys.

  482. You've seen that activated

  483. in lives here through

  484. Eddie,

  485. through different people

  486. who have come here, through me

  487. laying hands on people.

  488. You've seen it activated.

  489. You've seen what Eddie has done in my life

  490. where there's a sudden launching.

  491. It needs an apostolic

  492. and prophetic knife-feds to cut

  493. cleave open and say, look at me

  494. and then silver and gold I have none

  495. but what I have I give you in the name of Jesus Christ.

  496. Rise up and walk.

  497. And suddenly your lameness is gone.

  498. So may I tell you

  499. you can sit at Acts 29 and miss out

  500. on it.

  501. Because

  502. you have chosen

  503. not to understand

  504. the apostolic and the prophetic.

  505. Guys, there's nothing anybody can do about it.

  506. There are people

  507. in Eddie's church,

  508. in Eddie's friends churches

  509. who have sat there for years and years and years.

  510. And have not been

  511. affected by it.

  512. Why? Because they like what

  513. they like and are selective in their

  514. hearing and the rest of it

  515. does not apply to me

  516. because that is not my thing.

  517. I beg of you, we give the whole

  518. council of God, take it all.

  519. Guys, these messages

  520. may be a little

  521. nasty in terms of how

  522. it's being presented but we are

  523. at Gilgal.

  524. Circumcision was not a walk in the park.

  525. It was painful.

  526. Questions?

  527. Comments? Disagreements?

  528. Not physical, spiritual lameness.

  529. Yeah.

  530. I think it's impossible to move from lameness

  531. to a place where you can get

  532. launched into who you know

  533. God is asking you to be.

  534. It's impossible to be launched into it

  535. unless you say, okay

  536. I, guys, if

  537. but yeah

  538. position yourself to

  539. receive, guys, if you have missed out

  540. on understanding what the apostolic is

  541. I might use

  542. this word again and again. I beg of you

  543. ask Wayne for the CDs

  544. and grasp an understanding because otherwise

  545. you are losing out.

  546. I don't care how friendly you are

  547. with each other or with me.

  548. It won't benefit you unless

  549. truth is taught. Friendship

  550. does not set you free.

  551. The knowledge of the

  552. truth does.

  553. Go ahead, Valentina.

  554. At the appointed time, which will happen?

  555. At the appointed time, which will happen?

  556. Yes, in Habakkuk,

  557. which we dealt with in terms

  558. of blindness. I'm talking about

  559. lameness where people have

  560. seen it

  561. but they do not know how to take what they've

  562. seen and launch.

  563. Because prophetic words

  564. can be received by many.

  565. Israel received tons of prophetic words

  566. but it didn't do them any good.

  567. So that's the problem.

  568. The lame guy didn't launch himself though.

  569. The other two. Exactly.

  570. The apostolic and the prophetic have the ability

  571. to remove lameness

  572. and launch you into

  573. that which God is already

  574. showing you. It's like being

  575. impotent. I know what it takes

  576. but I don't know how to do it.

  577. How does that tie into when people in any church

  578. have just sit there? Like if it's not the lame

  579. person's act of doing that

  580. launches them, can they

  581. do the same as the lame person sitting at church

  582. for 20 years waiting to get launched?

  583. Absolutely. When we come to dwarfs, we'll talk about that.

  584. Dwarfs are people who have

  585. aged without growing.

  586. Dwarfs are people who have aged without growing

  587. in the spiritual.

  588. What can the lame guy do to

  589. expedite his launch?

  590. There is a point where the analogy of the lame

  591. when you use it in the spiritual has to be disconnected

  592. from actual physical lameness.

  593. Here is a lame person who now

  594. has the, when it comes to

  595. spiritual understanding of things

  596. I have to open up my

  597. spirit to receive from the apostolic

  598. and the prophetic.

  599. David was a spiritual giant.

  600. Yep.

  601. So let's use some real words

  602. to get facts here. So what is the lame people

  603. that are waiting to get...

  604. Okay, I'll give you an example. I could have

  605. gone for many apostolic summits

  606. and conferences all over the world

  607. listened to Eddie and all his friends

  608. and have come back without

  609. any change.

  610. I listened to it

  611. I'd have tons of notes, I'd probably preach a sermon

  612. but I'd never leave it. Why? Because I

  613. did not open up my spirit to receive it

  614. I did not want anything to do with it.

  615. I've gone to places

  616. and sat with elders in churches

  617. and taught them

  618. how to do things and they have said

  619. no.

  620. The church won't collapse, they'll still

  621. do wonderful things, people will still get saved

  622. some will get healed but they will

  623. never enter into the orbit that

  624. was meant for them. Instead of going to

  625. Mars, they'll keep going around the moon.

  626. Are you still in space?

  627. Yes. But you were supposed

  628. to hit the red planet, not the

  629. little white piece of cheese in the sky.

  630. It'll be nice but not the abundant life

  631. that you're going to get. There you go.

  632. We got orbits man

  633. that we have to enter into.

  634. I asked Valentine already.

  635. Guys, it's the apostolic and the prophetic

  636. that has the ability to penetrate.

  637. I've always shown you that picture

  638. of the spear with

  639. this is the shaft

  640. but a shaft without

  641. a spear has no penetration.

  642. A spear without the shaft

  643. has no direction.

  644. Goes together.

  645. That's a good example.

  646. If this is the apostolic

  647. and the prophetic, this is

  648. the evangelistic

  649. the teaching

  650. and the pasturing.

  651. It has to go hand in hand.

  652. Who does all this? The saints are involved in this.

  653. These are not some kind of aliens

  654. that fell out of the sky. These are normal

  655. people. These are you

  656. and me.

  657. Then it applies that a whole lot of people

  658. can see the prophetic. This is

  659. sometimes what happens to the charismatic and the

  660. Pentecostal where

  661. they operate in the prophetic but are never

  662. able to launch fully into orbit

  663. just because there is no

  664. there is nothing to

  665. that input is missing

  666. because there is a resistance

  667. or a lack of acknowledgement of the apostolic

  668. and the prophetic.

  669. If you want to know what it is as I use

  670. the words apostolic and prophetic, if you do

  671. not know it, let me very gently

  672. say to you, it is not because it hasn't

  673. been spoken of or taught. It is

  674. because you have forgotten or chosen not

  675. to listen.

  676. I am going to be very, very plain and gentle today.

  677. And if you have listened and you do not

  678. remember, then go back and revisit it.

  679. Because we are ending Gilgal today.

  680. We are moving on to other things.

  681. I pray God that we examine this.

  682. I am always surprised at how much

  683. you remember because when I ask questions

  684. there is expectation in my mind that

  685. oh you won't know the definition because it was

  686. so long ago and then when you come up with it

  687. I am always surprised. But if you don't

  688. remember all the nitty gritties

  689. just go re-examine it.

  690. I have to do that guys.

  691. Deformed and marred faces.

  692. The third one is deformed and marred faces

  693. in the King James that says

  694. people with flat noses.

  695. So, yeah, people with flat noses

  696. are deformed or marred

  697. faces.

  698. Guys, a deformed or marred face

  699. is someone

  700. I mean I am drawing

  701. this interpretation from James

    James 1:23–25

  702. chapter 1 verses 23 to 25

  703. where

  704. the Bible says that

  705. do not be like a man who goes

  706. and looks in the mirror and forgets what he

  707. looks like. Instead be like

  708. the man who looks into the mirror

  709. of the perfect law of liberty

  710. and sees who he really is.

  711. So a deformed or marred face

  712. is someone, is one

  713. who has no idea

  714. of who they are

  715. and what they look like

  716. because they have stopped

  717. catching glimpses

  718. of themselves

  719. in the word of God.

  720. Instead

  721. they see the world

  722. they see themselves

  723. through the looking glass

  724. of someone else's eyes

  725. or their own eyes.

  726. One who has no idea

  727. of who they are

  728. and what they look like

  729. because they have stopped catching glimpses

  730. of themselves in the word of God.

  731. Eddie talked about this.

  732. And so where do they get

  733. the information about themselves?

  734. They get it through the

  735. eyes of somebody else

  736. or they get it through their own eyes and we have

  737. a tendency to beat ourselves up

  738. or to see ourselves less than

  739. who we are.

  740. Therefore what we see

  741. are marred and deformed faces.

  742. Instead

  743. go back to

  744. what this says about you.

  745. Someone pointed out an area

  746. of pride in my life a few days ago.

  747. I acknowledge that there was pride

  748. and I talked to God about it

  749. and after that I went quickly to this.

  750. Because I wanted to see my real self.

  751. I started looking for scriptures

  752. on humility.

  753. I started looking for the

  754. humble life of Christ.

  755. I started looking for the life of another

  756. that I have in me that I can live by.

  757. So that I could return

  758. not to I have to lose my pride

  759. I have to lose my pride.

  760. No, so that I could return to walking

  761. in the life of another which is humble.

  762. But I had to go to this.

  763. I found about six or seven different places

  764. that I could go to.

  765. I spent about 20-25 minutes

  766. reading through them.

  767. Because I have to

  768. have an idea of myself

  769. through this.

  770. Because this is life.

  771. This goes into me.

  772. It makes sense.

  773. Your platitudes help.

  774. But they never go into my spirit.

  775. Unless they come from God.

  776. Important.

  777. Otherwise you see a deformed face guys.

  778. You see marred faces.

  779. I thought I wrote better than I wrote last week.

  780. One who has

  781. one who has no idea of who they are

  782. and what they look like.

  783. Because they have stopped catching glimpses

  784. of themselves in the life of another.

  785. Because they have stopped catching glimpses

  786. of themselves in the life of another.

  787. They have stopped catching themselves in the word of God.

  788. Instead they see themselves

  789. through the looking glass of someone else's eyes.

  790. Which then brings another important point up.

  791. We have to make sure that we don't

  792. when we talk

  793. to others about themselves

  794. that we try not to look at them

  795. through our own eyes.

  796. Because otherwise we will hoist on them

  797. a marred deformed face

  798. that they begin to live with for the rest of their lives.

  799. Which is why suddenly in the middle of the worship

  800. that Amy Grandsong came back.

  801. Do you have your father's eyes?

  802. People who live under dominion

  803. or under control end up having

  804. a mask put on their face.

  805. That is marred and deformed.

  806. Because it has been

  807. once you keep hearing it for a while

  808. it becomes your mask guys.

  809. So I have to be

  810. careful of how I speak to somebody

  811. about themselves.

  812. Jacob, how do you deal

  813. with other people who try to deceive you?

  814. I have to keep going back to this.

  815. And I have to do it

  816. because trust me guys

  817. there are times when people

  818. say things about me as wonderful a guy as I am.

  819. They still say things about me

  820. that are sometimes not so wonderful.

  821. And sometimes they are true

  822. and sometimes they are not.

  823. I cannot give it time guys.

  824. I find that

  825. I have to be careful.

  826. I find that

  827. the way the mind works

  828. if there is a gap between what I hear

  829. and

  830. the time that I take action

  831. I begin to

  832. have a mindset that begins to take

  833. bits and forms its own little puzzle

  834. that is grotesque.

  835. Because now a person has said

  836. you are this and then I remember another

  837. person who said something like that

  838. and that piece comes and all the

  839. pieces that have this evil

  840. affinity for each other from all the

  841. parts of my mind that have

  842. gone over the last 20 years come and say

  843. aha so they must all be right.

  844. And now there is a grotesque little mask

  845. that is created inside my mind that I begin to wear.

  846. So there has to be very little gap

  847. between hearing something

  848. and seeing myself

  849. in the mirror of God.

  850. This does not mean that every time someone says something

  851. it is negative.

  852. Because there are times when people have said something and it is true.

  853. But after I realize it is true I still have to go

  854. back to the word to see who Christ is

  855. because I have to live the life of another

  856. I cannot become it by my own strength guys.

  857. You have got to go back to this.

  858. So when pride was pointed out

  859. and it was genuine

  860. I had to go back and see the life of another

  861. who is humble.

  862. And then come to the realization that it is he who lives within

  863. now that I have told the Lord that

  864. yeah you were right in pointing it out

  865. I can let that live out.

  866. It is a different way of dealing with it guys.

  867. Keep the gap between what you hear

  868. and what you do in terms of looking in the mirror

  869. very short.

  870. The shorter it is the better it is for you.

  871. Yeah.

  872. So go to the word.

  873. When there is ugliness in your life

  874. when there is confusion

  875. when there is failure, when there is past

  876. when there is fears, when there is accusations

  877. go to the word and close the gap between

  878. when it happens and when you have to deal with it.

  879. Become what you are like we said last week.

  880. Become what you are.

  881. The next deformity

  882. or handicap

  883. was

  884. some Bible say a limb too long.

  885. Meaning either it was

  886. a few extra fingers and toes

  887. or it was

  888. one foot was longer than the other or one hand was longer than the other.

  889. That was another deformity that forbade

  890. people from entering

  891. into God's presence. That is the deformity.

  892. So that is the deformity.

  893. Limbs too long.

  894. And what happens if

  895. one leg is shorter and one leg is longer?

  896. There is an imbalance guys.

  897. Or even if you are doing push ups

  898. there will be an imbalance.

  899. I mean not that I would use my hands ever

  900. for things like push ups.

  901. But the point is that

  902. there is an imbalance.

  903. And

  904. imbalance or additions

  905. that become useless baggage

  906. that become useless baggage.

  907. Slowing spiritual progress.

  908. I mean if you have six or seven toes

  909. it slows your walk man.

  910. Plus you got to get one shoe

  911. that looks really funny.

  912. So the point is

  913. it becomes a useless appendage

  914. or excess baggage

  915. that now slows your spiritual

  916. progress.

  917. Or if one limb is shorter than the other

  918. one limb is longer.

  919. Now you have an imbalance in your gait

  920. and it slows your spiritual progress.

  921. So

  922. how does it translate

  923. into the spiritual?

  924. Guys make sure that

  925. you always

  926. embrace and that Acts 29

  927. always embraces the whole

  928. gospel as in Acts 20

    Acts 20:27

  929. verse 27.

  930. May we never specialize in the apostolic

  931. or the demonic or in

  932. healing or in church planting.

  933. No, no, no, no.

  934. How we do this is we got to

  935. enter and exit seasons of God

  936. with God.

  937. When God takes us through a season of

  938. healing enter into it.

  939. But please exit as soon as he exits.

  940. When God

  941. takes you through the season of the apostolic

  942. enter into it. But exit as soon

  943. as he exits. When he takes you

  944. through Gilgal as he is taking us right now

  945. enter. But exit as soon as he exits.

  946. Don't spend a moment more in Gilgal.

  947. If it takes three days to heal

  948. a circumcision wound, wound get

  949. over it after three days. Don't sit there

  950. saying oh need another week for this wound

  951. to heal. No.

  952. Done.

  953. Because God's glory is

  954. there's no end to it. But on

  955. one hand I have to behold his glory.

  956. On the other hand I have to see what does he want me

  957. to be? What does he want

  958. to be to me right now in

  959. his glory? Does he want to be Lord Sabaoth?

  960. Does he want to be Jehovah

  961. Jaira? Does he want to be Jehovah Rafa?

  962. Because you can't take one aspect and say

  963. this is what we will be. Guys in the Bible

  964. there were gifts. In the Bible

  965. there were services. Meaning apostle, prophet, evangelist,

  966. teacher. But the Bible

  967. rarely says and so

  968. they said come forth

  969. for thy ministry is casting

  970. out demons.

  971. There's no mention such as such of

  972. Yeah.

  973. I mean today we see

  974. a ministry of this, a ministry of that.

  975. That's not the way it should be.

  976. That's not the way it should be.

  977. I pray God that one of my dreams

  978. for us as a church, I was talking to the Lord

  979. this morning about this, that Acts 29

  980. sends out teams. Teams.

  981. So that a team is whole.

  982. There'll be people in the team

  983. that have the ability to teach.

  984. There'll be those with the gift of healing.

  985. There'll be those with the gift of miracles.

  986. And they go as a team. And when they go as a team

  987. and stand you'll see

  988. the whole council of God being modeled

  989. and worked out.

  990. Yeah.

  991. That's the way it should be guys.

  992. That's the way it should be.

  993. That'll be so crazy man.

  994. There'll never be one limb that is too long.

  995. It'll be whole.

  996. That is why I so

  997. encourage you, come and stand here

  998. if you have things to share.

  999. He's writing a rap song.

1000. I encourage him in it.

1001. There's nothing rap about me.

1002. But I encourage him in it.

1003. Because you should listen to the lyrics.

1004. Just remember that guys. I mean

1005. we've become too old to listen to the lyrics.

  1006. I mean we've become too specialized.

  1007. We should become

  1008. people.

1009. I'm not saying ministry should not exist.

1010. I believe ministry should exist.

1011. But the whole council of God

1012. is better. Sometimes the Lord says, okay guys

1013. I want you to concentrate on healing.

1014. Then do that. But please remember

1015. when ministries begin to concentrate on healing

1016. what went 10 years down the road God says

1017. move to something else. But now you've established

1018. yourself as a healing ministry.

1019. It's very hard now to hear God say

  1020. move in another direction.

  1021. Fractured foot.

1022. Hey that thing stopped or is it working?

1023. Okay I'll try to finish in about 25 minutes guys.

1024. If not we'll have to continue in the next time.

  1025. Fractured foot.

  1026. Fractured foot.

1027. Guys fractured foot is different from

1028. lameness. Fractured foot is a

1029. breaking away of the foot.

1030. Resulting in an inability to

  1031. keep pace with others.

  1032. So it's not lameness.

1033. It's not something that a person was born

1034. in. It was not a congenital

1035. condition. It was something that happened in the process.

1036. A person was born fine

1037. and then he breaks his foot.

1038. It's a breaking away of the foot.

1039. And this allows you to continue to keep in

1040. pace with others. And I suggest

1041. to you that again this can be absolutely

  1042. prevalent in Acts 29.

1043. Where the breaking of a limb, if you go to Proverbs

  1044. 25.19 it says unfaithfulness

1045. is like a broken foot.

  1046. Unfaithfulness or a lack

  1047. of faithfulness

1048. or a degree of steadfastness

1049. is like a broken foot

1050. it says in Proverbs 25 verse 19.

    Proverbs 25:19

  1051. And it is possible

  1052. to be

1053. in a house and yet operate

1054. in isolation. And it's very disabling.

  1055. Spiritually very disabling.

1056. Can you explain that for me?

  1057. Yeah.

1058. A fractured foot is when

  1059. a foot breaks away.

  1060. It breaks away.

1061. And I would suggest to you

  1062. that the spiritual

  1063. interpretation of this

1064. breaking away of the foot is how

1065. you can be part of the body and yet you can be

  1066. broken away.

1067. You can be part of a body and yet be

1068. separate. You can disconnect from the

1069. ankle onwards. So you start

1070. from the ankle onwards. So you are still part of the body.

1071. There was nothing wrong with you to begin with.

1072. It is something that can be restored.

  1073. It's broken away.

1074. So now you have a foot that

1075. is part of the body and yet is not connected to the body.

  1076. It's when

1077. people begin to be part of something

  1078. and yet are isolated.

1079. Yeah, not wanting to be part of it.

1080. Let's assume I was part of this body.

1081. I come for these meetings.

1082. Listen to it. Listen to the messages.

1083. Pick up the CD and I disappear.

1084. I've got nothing to do with you.

1085. I've got nothing to do with anyone here.

  1086. I come to receive.

  1087. I may make offerings.

1088. But I do not want to connect one on one.

  1089. Connect for partnership, fellowship,

  1090. body ministry,

  1091. friendship.

1092. Opening my life to you. You opening your life to me.

1093. Becoming transparent. Becoming part of each other.

1094. I love this verse in Romans 12.

1095. It says, you are corporately

1096. together one body, but you are

1097. individual members to each other.

1098. Off one another. Off one another.

  1099. Can you imagine that?

1100. You are members of one body

1101. and members of each other individually.

  1102. Such a strange verse.

1103. Members of each other individually.

  1104. This is one family

  1105. but they are members

  1106. of each other individually.

1107. And yet when you look at them from outside

1108. you call them the Dekruses.

  1109. One family.

1110. But each of them is an individual and yet

1111. is an individual one to another.

1112. So when a person chooses to break away

1113. and this is why in Deuteronomy 25

  1114. we've talked about this.

1115. What happens to the man who does not build

  1116. up his brother's house?

  1117. His wife, his

1118. brother's wife comes and spits on

1119. him and then he has to put his head

1120. on his head and shoe on his head and

  1121. walk.

1122. And he walks with the same gait as that of a

1123. man with a broken foot.

  1124. There's a limp.

1125. You cannot live together alone.

  1126. Like the Trinity.

1127. God is relational even in the

  1128. Godhead.

1129. Guys, look around you right now.

1130. I mean actually look, okay?

1131. Look at the people around you right now.

1132. And I asked myself this question this morning.

1133. How many here do you know superficially?

  1134. It's a very genuine question.

1135. As you look around at different people

1136. here, how many of them do you know superficially?

1137. Meaning there has been no cultivation of real depth and relationship.

  1138. Here's another question.

1139. How many of them do you know superficially?

1140. Meaning there has been no cultivation of real depth and relationship.

  1141. Here's another question.

1142. How many, about how many of these

1143. people sitting here, do you have

  1144. preconceived notions about?

  1145. How many here

1146. do you have preconceived notions about?

1147. When you look at them you'd say,

1148. I know her, she is like this.

1149. I know him, he is like this. How many do you have preconceived notions about?

1150. I'm not going to make a small guess.

  1151. No, no, no.

  1152. But it's surprising.

1153. One of the things I have to continuously work on

1154. at Acts 29 is not to have preconceived notions about you.

1155. I was talking to James about that

  1156. some days ago.

  1157. Ah, beautiful words.

  1158. 2 Corinthians 5,

1159. Henceforth I shall know no man after the

  1160. flesh.

1161. Because every man is a new creation.

1162. I shall know them after the

  1163. five somewhere.

1164. I shall know them after the spirit.

1165. Just as I know Christ now.

1166. Not after the flesh. Go ahead.

1167. I have learned that every time I've had

1168. preconceived ideas about someone I have been wrong.

  1169. Thank God.

  1170. Yeah.

1171. Gosh, Matt, I have no

  1172. preconceived notions about you.

1173. I just so like you.

  1174. And appreciate you.

  1175. Fractured hand.

  1176. Fractured hand.

1177. The hand is always a symbol of strength.

1178. The hand is always a symbol of strength.

  1179. Panja larega?

  1180. What is that?

1181. Panja larega means do you want to arm wrestle.

1182. So that's Greek for arm wrestling.

1183. So the hand is always a symbol of strength.

  1184. Diana, you're a great wrestler.

  1185. Diana, you're a great wrestler.

  1186. Diana, you're a great wrestler.

1187. A symbol of strength. Diana, you may enter.

1188. The hand is always a symbol of strength.

  1189. So a broken hand

  1190. is strength broken.

1191. But in what areas in regard to

  1192. a spiritual house?

1193. It's with my hands that I bless.

1194. It's with my hands that I minister.

1195. The Bible talks about the laying on of hands.

1196. The Bible talks about blessing with your hands.

1197. The Bible talks about giving with your hands.

1198. The Bible talks about in Galatians 2.9

1199. stretching out the hand of

1200. you can shake it at some point

1201. stretching out your hand in

  1202. fellowship in Galatians 2.9

1203. and so again the broken hand

1204. goes with the broken foot because

1205. a broken hand is a lack of strength

  1206. in serving.

1207. And in serving it includes ministering,

1208. it includes giving, it includes fellowship.

1209. So if I were to gently ask

  1210. is your hand fractured?

1211. And you ask me that and I say no

1212. then your next question should be

1213. so how is your giving Jacob?

  1214. How is your ministering?

  1215. How is your serving?

1216. How is your reaching out in fellowship?

1217. And if your answer is great

1218. then how is your giving Jacob?

1219. How is your giving Jacob?

1220. How is your giving Jacob?

1221. And if your answer is great

1222. then praise God your hand is doing well.

1223. If the answer is eh, it means you have a hairline fracture.

1224. And if the answer is no

1225. then the hand is broken and needs to be fixed.

1226. The beautiful thing about broken hand and broken feet

1227. is they can both be fixed.

  1228. I asked Heidi yesterday

1229. to give me an idea of the months

  1230. that I did not

1231. the three or four months last year

1232. where my giving to the church was low

1233. compared to what I know

1234. compared to what I normally give

1235. I wanted to ask her that

1236. and she is going to give it to me.

1237. I have different reasons for it

1238. but one of the reasons is in 2010

  1239. I don't want to be the giver I was in 2009.

1240. I want to be a better giver in 2010 guys.

1241. It has nothing to do with

1242. whether my income increases or not

1243. it has everything to do with giving

1244. because I am not the best giver I know.

  1245. So

1246. maybe increase in the solution

  1247. step up, upgrade

  1248. upgrade in these areas.

  1249. I mean

1250. have the guts to come and say

  1251. let's minister, let's do this.

1252. One of the things that really blessed my heart

  1253. on Leah's dedication

1254. was when Matt came up

1255. and he was kind of hobbling

1256. because his leg was hurting

  1257. and he said Jacob

1258. my leg has been hurting, do not know why

1259. so I just thought I would let you know

1260. and I said yeah Matt I will remember to pray

1261. and then went about eating and drinking

  1262. and suddenly

1263. this guy, Ryan comes up behind me

  1264. and he says

  1265. I feel

1266. the spirit of God saying that we need to pray

1267. for Matt right now and God will want to do something.

  1268. And then he says

1269. but I don't know what to say

1270. but this is what I know I need to say.

  1271. So I said okay

1272. and he and I called Matt up

1273. and I told Matt and then I did the talking

  1274. but he initiated it

1275. and we agreed and prayed for him

1276. and his feet seemed okay or at least he didn't tell me about it

  1277. later on.

1278. But the point is here is someone who is the

  1279. youngest among us who

1280. decided that I will step up

1281. to stretch out my hands to minister.

  1282. I'm sorry I'm picking on him

1283. as a good example today but

  1284. this boy tights

  1285. or gives

1286. he doesn't have a regular job yet

  1287. but he gives

1288. his hands are not fractured guys

  1289. he serves

  1290. without asking

1291. he has hands that are strong

  1292. I won't embarrass you again

  1293. not today

  1294. let's change

  1295. turn the page

  1296. hunchbacked

  1297. a man who was a hunchback

  1298. was a man who

1299. had a curvature of the spine

  1300. and

1301. some were born that way

1302. others had muscles of their shoulders

  1303. and back forced

  1304. either by trauma

  1305. or accident or

  1306. some kind of problem

1307. where the muscles would then

1308. begin to clench and you would have a curvature of the back

  1309. and so

1310. hunchbacks were not allowed into the presence of God

  1311. and a hunchback

1312. who had a curvature of the spine

1313. was unable to stand for long periods

1314. he was unable to stand

  1315. for long periods

  1316. and Hebrews 10

  1317. 35 to 39 talks about it

  1318. Hebrews 10 35 to 39

  1319. it says that listen

1320. don't cast away your confidence

1321. don't cast away your confidence

  1322. and the just

  1323. shall live by faith

1324. and my pleasure is in him

1325. who is able to stand in times of trouble

1326. and does not shrink back

  1327. check and see

1328. when you look back at this year

  1329. how many times

1330. another word for hunchback in english is compromise

  1331. how many times

  1332. did

1333. did you and I compromise

  1334. and

1335. choose to take the easy route

  1336. because we

1337. did not have the ability to stand

1338. and the pressures of life

1339. forced the muscles of our back

  1340. to curve our spine

1341. how many times this year

1342. when we should have stood

  1343. we had a compromise

1344. because the demands of life

  1345. forced

  1346. untried faith muscles

1347. in my body into submission

1348. because the demands of life

  1349. forced untried

  1350. unexercised faith muscles

  1351. into submission

  1352. the demands of life

  1353. forced untried faith muscles

  1354. into submission

  1355. you know who

1356. you know three guys who were not hunchbacked

1357. or four guys who were not hunchbacked

  1358. Daniel

  1359. Shadrach, Mesha Kabednego

  1360. another

  1361. another

  1362. another

1363. person who is going through times

  1364. and is not hunchbacked

1365. people who don't have hunchbacks

  1366. gotta stand

1367. as I look back at the year

1368. I was driving up and down yesterday

1369. and thinking of the hunchback situation

1370. I can remember one place where

  1371. I developed a hunchback

  1372. I compromised

1373. I didn't have the strength to stand in faith

  1374. and I

  1375. chose the easy way

  1376. Gail has stood

  1377. Ruth has stood

1378. many others of you have stood

1379. many others of you are standing even right now

  1380. so what's the solution?

1381. the solution initially guys is to have others stand and hold you up

  1382. initially if

1383. hunchbacking is a regular hobby

  1384. you have to stand

  1385. what's your hobby?

  1386. hunchbacking

1387. they'll think it's something like horse riding

1388. but if hunchbacking is a regular hobby where I'm not able to stand

1389. then the first thing I need to do is

1390. get a couple of people

1391. who will be firm with me

1392. and yet hold me up when my back begins to hunch

1393. and so once I have that

  1394. why?

1395. because you got to exercise those faith muscles

1396. before they can be active

1397. there have been occasions this year when

  1398. Lauren has stood

  1399. Rosalind has stood

  1400. Chris has stood

1401. James has stood in his cab a couple of times

1402. you have to have others help you stand

1403. for the first little while

1404. now that those muscles are beginning to grow strong

1405. now you begin to stand

1406. on your own for things

1407. and as you stand and the pressure increases

1408. you find that your muscles are not buckling

1409. you begin to take on one Goliath who is 5 feet

1410. so that you can take on the next

1411. Goliath who is 6 feet next time

1412. suddenly your muscles keep getting stronger

1413. one of the things David would do often

1414. is he would go back and remember the last

1415. victory so that he could fight the next battle

1416. he would say I have fought the lion and the bear

1417. they came and they tried to take a sheep

1418. and I beat them hollow

1419. so if I have fought the lion and the bear why can't I take on Goliath

1420. he would always remember the last episode

  1421. you have stood

1422. Banees and Vane have stood for different things

1423. I mean there is nobody I can look at right now

  1424. who hasn't stood

  1425. nobody

1426. I am not trying to be inclusive

1427. I am just looking at you right now

1428. and I know of situations where you have stood this year

  1429. yeah everybody

1430. but this is how you develop

  1431. spiritual muscles

1432. John has stood through a jaunt

1433. moving on then to the dwarf

  1434. guys remember truth is

  1435. learned through repeated application

1436. there is no other way

  1437. truth is learned

  1438. through repeated application

1439. you do have to understand the truth first

1440. truth the knowledge of the truth is important

1441. but the knowledge of the truth now has to be

  1442. applied truth is

  1443. learned through repeated application

1444. any man or woman of faith that you see

  1445. has become that

  1446. through repeated application

  1447. of the truth

  1448. no other way

  1449. dwarf

  1450. a dwarf is a person

1451. who ages but does not grow

  1452. aging without growth

1453. I mean the only people who are growing right now

1454. are the people who are growing

1455. the little kids and Marcus and Matt and Ryan

1456. the rest of us have stopped growing

  1457. parents

  1458. parents

1459. who thought it was me

1460. so the dwarfs are those who age

  1461. without growing

1462. that's because they have attained

  1463. they have

1464. what happens is you set

  1465. self set spiritual

1466. statutes that you want to attain

1467. and you don't aim for attaining the stature of

  1468. Christ

  1469. and this is common

1470. among millions and millions of Christians

  1471. who have

  1472. grown to be 60 and 70

  1473. but have the

1474. spiritual IQ of a five year old

  1475. and I mean that

1476. in all earnestness without exaggeration

  1477. dwarfs

  1478. stunted growth

  1479. what causes stunted growth?

1480. a feast of infant food

1481. try living on what Leah lives on

  1482. those little bottles

  1483. with very untasty food

1484. I know I once tasted a bit of it

  1485. in my sister's place

1486. I don't know how these kids survive

1487. I wanted to feed the little child Pepsi

  1488. after that

1489. just to take away the taste

  1490. but I don't know how

  1491. these kids survive

1492. I wanted to take away the taste

1493. but stunted growth is because

  1494. of feeding on

  1495. infant food

1496. you just dropped the world Marcus

  1497. which country

  1498. don't worry about it

  1499. I'm just kidding

  1500. you're feeding on

  1501. lies yeah

  1502. it could be

1503. stunted growth is a result of

  1504. feeding on infant food

1505. it dulls your ability to discern between right and wrong

1506. so that every wind of doctrine

1507. holds you captive which is what

  1508. lies are

1509. stunted growth read Hebrews 5 verses 14 to 17

  1510. you'll see it there

  1511. Hebrews 5 verses 14 to 17

1512. I'll repeat what I said after that

  1513. Hebrews 5 verses 14 to 17

  1514. I'll repeat it again

  1515. Hebrews 5 verses 14 to 17

1516. it's in your notes here

1517. and it says in Hebrews 5

1518. anyone who lives on milk

1519. being still an infant is not

1520. acquainted with the teaching about righteousness

1521. but solid food is for the mature

1522. who by constant use have

  1523. trained themselves to distinguish

  1524. good from evil

  1525. guys stunted growth is

1526. a result of feeding on infant food

1527. it dulls your ability to discern

  1528. between right and wrong

1529. and when that happens every wind

1530. of doctrine holds you captive

1531. every wind of doctrine holds you captive

  1532. oh no

1533. I have to say it gently and plainly

1534. if you have a tendency

1535. to pick up CDs, books

  1536. and believe every

1537. TV program on channel 10

  1538. and channel 118

  1539. then you are feeding

  1540. on infant food

  1541. and I've lost

1542. your discernment between right and wrong

  1543. I'm not saying don't watch TV

1544. I'm saying may that not become your

  1545. diet

1546. may that not become your diet

1547. I used to receive a lot of CDs from

  1548. the person in

  1549. Abbotsford

  1550. Todd Bentley

1551. knew right away when I began hearing

  1552. listening to Open Heaven

  1553. that it was faulty

  1554. right away

1555. you should know that there

1556. is a distinction between right and wrong

1557. this is not to prove whether I have

1558. sense of discernment or not

1559. this is to show that we have to feast

1560. on solid food so that we

1561. know when they give you bonvita

  1562. or Horlicks

1563. you suddenly realize that he did not brew it

  1564. it's not real coffee

  1565. what's the solution guys?

  1566. the solution

  1567. is in Ephesians 4

  1568. guys

  1569. we said that

  1570. it is age without

1571. growth because people have decided

1572. that this is the spiritual stature

1573. they want to attain and they do not want

1574. to attain the spiritual stature of Christ

  1575. remember that verse

1576. which talks about attaining the spiritual

  1577. stature of Christ

1578. what is required for that?

  1579. do you remember?

1580. and God has appointed to the body

  1581. apostles, prophets, evangelists

  1582. teachers and pastors

  1583. why?

  1584. to equip the saints

  1585. for

  1586. ministry

1587. towards what? so that every part of the body

1588. will join, will grow ligament to ligament

1589. to attain what? to attain the

  1590. full

  1591. full stature of

  1592. Christ. Guys it is

1593. vital that we be connected to a

1594. place, I'm not talking about Acts 29

1595. right now, to a place where

  1596. we are equipped

1597. a people who are not equipped

1598. will never be able to

  1599. feed on solid food

1600. it will always be food

  1601. that is infant

  1602. connected doesn't necessarily mean

  1603. attending every week

1604. take Tino, Suhani for instance

1605. they are not able to come every week

1606. it's not possible, given our timings

1607. it's not possible for them to come

1608. but are they connected to the house?

1609. yes. Will they benefit from it?

  1610. yes

1611. press on to the high calling

1612. press on to the high calling

1613. what's the rest of the words?

  1614. crisis, as for us

1615. solution, be equipped through the

1616. five fold servants by being

1617. part of a body, solution

  1618. eat at one table

  1619. solution

1620. this is an important one

  1621. solution, end selective

  1622. listening and growth

  1623. end, guys I pray

1624. that the whole church listens to me right now

1625. not because I'm looking at anybody

1626. but because this is important

  1627. end selective listening

  1628. and selective growth

1629. I'm saying that it is prevalent

  1630. at Acts 29

  1631. where we

  1632. decide that this is

1633. not important or this is not for me

  1634. right now

1635. so I will not listen to it

1636. there are other things that are more pertinent to my life

  1637. I'm saying to you

1638. that there is not a single

1639. teaching that has been taught in this

1640. church that wasn't in the exact

1641. timing of God and I know

  1642. that for a fact

  1643. I know that is a big

1644. thing to say but not once

1645. has anything been taught in this church

  1646. that was not

  1647. in God's time, I promise you

  1648. that

  1649. challenge me, questions, disagreements

  1650. even when I'm preparing a

  1651. sermon in the plane

  1652. on a 10 hour flight back

1653. I plead with God saying

1654. only what you want, I know I got only

1655. 6 hours left, I got only 5 hours left

1656. I don't have a sermon yet, please please please give me something

  1657. I'm landing at 3.30, I have a service at 6

1658. but it's always what he wants

1659. it's never been any hand me

  1660. downs guys, never once

1661. in the last 3 and a half years

  1662. that's why it's so easy

1663. end to selective listening guys

  1664. Jeep

  1665. defect in the eyes

1666. defect in the eye is not blindness

1667. its something that impedes your vision

1668. defect in the eye is not blindness

1669. it's something that impedes you vision

1670. it doesn't... it's not blindness it's something that comes into your eye

  1671. and impedes your vision

1672. and once it impedes your vision it becomes

1673. a plank in your eye

1674. and distorts your perception of issues

1675. distorts your perception of people

1676. There's error then in your perception of issues and people because a plank has come in.

1677. Can I ask you what these impediments can you be?

1678. What do you think these impediments can be?

1679. Give me a few impediments that can bring in error in your perception, become a plank in

  1680. your eye.

1681. What are some of those impediments?

  1682. Taking offense?

1683. Anything else that becomes a plank in your eye?

  1684. Listening to rumour?

  1685. Judging other people?

  1686. Not forgiving?

  1687. Jealousy?

1688. You see how many impediments?

1689. This is not blindness guys, it's impediments.

1690. The depth perception changes on issues and people.

  1691. Pride?

1692. Pride is a major vision impediment.

1693. Be it jealousy, be it taking offense, behind all of it the underlying thing is pride.

  1694. Greed?

  1695. There you go.

  1696. It just changes it.

1697. You develop conjunctivitis, critical conjunctivitis is one of the things that develops.

  1698. Anger?

  1699. Control?

1700. Depending on what this impediment is in your life, no?

  1701. Fear?

1702. Begin to work on it guys, begin to work on it.

1703. I mean for me, what I've written down is a lot of underlying factors in many of the things

  1704. you've spoken is pride.

1705. So I've written here foremost vision impediment is pride.

1706. It leads to critical conjunctivitis.

1707. There can be a whole lot of other things too.

  1708. Solution?

1709. For each of the things you said there's different solutions but one of the things that can form

1710. a really good basis for you is be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.

1711. Quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.

1712. Eugene Peterson puts it this way, let your hearing lead you.

1713. Let your speaking follow slowly and let your anger not be there at all.

1714. I'll have to get it on my phone.

  1715. James 1, James 1 verse 19.

    James 1:19

  1716. James 1 19.

1717. Yeah, and now from the message.

1718. I don't like these dead times on the CD.

1719. I don't know what to do when I'm driving in the car and you have these quiet times.

  1720. James 1.

1721. Yeah, I love the way it's written here.

  1722. It's worth waiting for.

1723. Post this at all intersections, dear friends.

1724. Post this at all the intersections, dear friends.

1725. Lead with your ears, follow up with your tongue and let anger straggle along in the rear.

1726. Yeah, lead with your ears, meaning next time we at Act 1A and walk we have to walk like

  1727. this.

1728. Lead with your ears, follow with your tongues and let anger straggle along in the rear.

1729. In simple humility, let our gardener God landscape you with the word, making a salvation garden

  1730. of your life.

  1731. Beautiful.

  1732. Yeah.

  1733. Yeah.

  1734. Yeah.

1735. Moving on to scurvy, eczema and sores.

1736. Moving on to scurvy, eczema and sores.

1737. Sounds like a medical school and not a Bible.

1738. Moving on to scurvy, eczema and sores.

1739. Regardless of which Bible you use, at the end of the day, scurvy, eczema and sores have

1740. much to do with stale food, stale environment, stale condition, a lack of freshness.

1741. Scurvy was caused when sailors would travel on ships for more than six months and the

1742. fruit and the vegetable would become stale and they would develop scurvy.

1743. Stale food, stale environment, stale condition, lack of freshness resulting in scurvy, festering

1744. sores, no vitamin C, lack of sunlight, lack of freshness or lack of sunlight was rickets,

1745. vitamin D. Sorry, take that out.

1746. It's very easy to connect this to what we've already learned.

1747. Exodus 16 verses 16 to 21 said that manna was sent once a week, once every two weeks,

    Exodus 16:16–21

  1748. every day.

1749. If it was held for more than one day and it would go stale and it would rot and you'd

1750. have not manna but another word starting with M, maggots.

  1751. Big difference though.

1752. So the whole idea is guys to be free of scurvy, eczema and festering sores, we've got to walk

1753. in the preceding word and in present truth.

1754. Now if both those phrases do not ring a bell, I'd suggest again that you go and listen to

1755. the CD from the preceding word.

1756. The preceding word is what God speaks now.

1757. What God is saying now, manna was fresh every day.

1758. We live by the preceding word not by the preceding word.

1759. And what is present truth?

1760. Present truth is how we see God speaking through this that he has written, what he reveals

1761. it in this present season.

  1762. That is present truth.

1763. This is truth and it is present.

1764. It is not how Josephus or Barnes or Alfred Noble or whoever wrote it 80 years ago.

1765. That's not the commentary we follow.

1766. We like Matthew Henry but we don't follow him.

1767. We live by present truth, the truth as it is presently revealed by the spirit of God

1768. because if this is all God is, he's a very finite, limited God.

1769. This is just the launch pad, guys.

1770. It is not the beginning and the end of God.

1771. The Lord said, I am Alpha and Omega.

1772. He didn't say the Bible was Alpha and Omega.

1773. The canned word, the preceding word can cause eczema, scurvy and sores and render you useless

  1774. to minister grace.

1775. The canned word as in C-A-N-N-E-D or the preceding word, the word from last season.

1776. We cannot operate by last season's word to us.

1777. Proceeding word is authentic suns, open heavens.

1778. We cannot operate by that, not by the preceding word.

1779. Guys, and it's not the sole responsibility of the teacher to do that.

1780. I would ask you, do you in your daily life live by a present truth?

1781. And so you would ask me, how would you go about seeking present truth?

1782. I'd ask you, so do you study this or do you read this?

  1783. Do you chew it?

1784. Do you meditate on it or do you glance through it?

1785. But how can I study?

1786. Oh, once the internet came, there are no more excuses left.

1787. Every resource available to anybody is available to everybody.

1788. I'm not talking about using commentaries.

1789. I'm talking about using study tools.

1790. History, customs, Greek meanings, Hebrew meanings.

1791. Why what was said was said.

1792. What do people say about it?

1793. How does it strike with what I'm learning in the house?

1794. Is the house wrong or does the house have an accurate plumb line?

  1795. How does this reflect?

1796. You bring it all together.

1797. Nothing is in isolation, right?

1798. Like I said, I deliberately read opposing views to what I hold just so I can understand

1799. why they're saying it and correct if I'm wrong.

1800. Not just relying on others' opinions.

  1801. No.

1802. But allowing God to have that.

1803. It's like taking a bit from Anne, from Elmer, from Bernice and Chris and drawing it all

1804. and putting it and seeing, huh, so I see what she's saying makes sense.

1805. And then taking it all together, piecing it together, knowing what I already know and

1806. developing something that is chewing, meditating, studying.

1807. This is present truth, guys, because God does reveal himself fully to the bride, fully in

1808. the presence of us as a people.

  1809. Agreed.

1810. Is there a discovery of truth in your own private times, right?

  1811. There is.

1812. It can be very, very specific for you.

  1813. Yes.

  1814. So you need that.

  1815. Yes.

  1816. Your inheritance.

1817. Our inheritance as a house, yes, but what about your personal inheritance for your family?

  1818. What about that?

1819. I wish I could turn that clock around.

  1820. I'm well past what I said.

1821. Five minutes past what I said.

1822. Guys, I find many times my life getting jaded or stale, or like it could be perhaps once

1823. every month, once every three months, I find that there's a staleness entering and I immediately

1824. have to go and recalibrate.

1825. I'll spend miles walking up and down my two rooms saying, Father, I'm kind of feeling

  1826. jaded.

  1827. I just don't know what I'm doing.

1828. I'm just doing it because I'm doing it.

1829. So you want to talk about it, any agenda, and then just keep walking and talking because

1830. you've got to recalibrate because there's a jadedness or a staleness entering life.

1831. And you always know it.

  1832. There's a freshness going on.

  1833. Your childlikeness disappears.

  1834. Love turns to duty.

1835. Moving on, because I see some of you are beginning to fall asleep.

1836. We've got only three more left.

1837. You can sleep the whole evening, guys.

1838. You don't have to come back at night.

  1839. Scabs.

  1840. Scabs.

1841. Mike Scantleberry talks about scabs and I like some of the points he makes.

1842. A scab is a wound that is not healed.

1843. When pressure is applied, the scab breaks open and it hurts.

1844. A scab is a wound that is not healed.

1845. So when pressure is applied, the scab breaks open and pain returns.

1846. And sometimes it breaks open and pus is released if it's not healed.

1847. A scab is a wound that is not healed.

1848. When pressure is applied, the scab breaks open and pains.

1849. But he makes another point.

1850. He says there's something other than scabs called scars.

1851. Scars are marks left after a wound is healed.

1852. Scars are marks left after a wound is healed and it may remind you of something, but it

1853. does not hurt anymore because it's not a scab, it's a scar.

1854. And then I love this point that he brings up.

1855. He says that it may remind you of something, but it does not hurt anymore because it's

  1856. not a scab, it's a scar.

1857. And then I love this point that he brings up.

1858. He says that Jesus showed Thomas not scabs.

1859. He didn't say, Thomas, here are my scabs.

1860. He said, here are my scars, my wounds.

  1861. Scars were there.

1862. The scar of the wound was there, not a running scab.

1863. So Thomas said, till I put my hand in the imprints of the nails, I will not believe.

1864. He showed him the scars, man.

  1865. And guess what?

1866. Christ bears those scars, but the scars remind him of what he did for us and the scars remind

1867. us of what he did.

1868. Those are not scabs, those are scars.

1869. And I'd say to you that it is vital that we have scars but no scabs.

1870. Scabs are always a result of unforgiveness or an inability to let go of the hurt.

1871. And we've talked about unforgiveness.

1872. If you want the CD, let Wayne know.

1873. Wayne's going to have a full-time job at this rate.

1874. Not that he already doesn't have one or two.

1875. Scabs hurt, signifying a continuing bondage to events and to offenders.

  1876. Still unforgiven.

1877. Scars hurt, signifying a continuing bondage to events or to offenders.

  1878. Still unforgiven.

1879. Wounds turn to scars when there is forgiveness.

1880. Wounds turn to scars when there is forgiveness.

1881. Guys, it is impossible to minister out of an unforgiving, hurting, critical heart.

1882. We cannot minister life of God to others from a wounded, critical or unforgiving spirit.

1883. Let me repeat the line before that first.

1884. Scabs hurt, signifying bondage to events and to offenders.

  1885. Still unforgiven.

1886. But wounds turn to scars when forgiveness is complete.

1887. Wounds turn to scars when forgiveness is complete.

1888. And I just want us to know that we cannot minister the life of God to another from a

1889. wounded, critical or unforgiving spirit.

  1890. It is impossible.

1891. I cannot minister life to him if I have a wounded, unforgiving or critical heart.

  1892. It is impossible.

  1893. I cannot.

1894. Because it will come up.

  1895. The solution?

1896. Listen to the reconciliation CD.

1897. Turn scabs that you rake into scars that will tell a story of grace.

  1898. That sounds very nice.

1899. But basically he has to turn scabs into scars.

1900. Guys, if you have had a scab for more than five years, then you want to know the real

  1901. solution?

1902. Let me put it very gently.

  1903. Get over it.

1904. I know that sounds cruel.

1905. You don't know my pain.

1906. True, I do not know your pain.

1907. But I know someone whose love is greater than your pain and the brutality he suffered is

  1908. greater than your pain.

1909. Listen to the reconciliation CD.

  1910. Last one.

1911. The reason I wrote eunuch on the pages, I thought if these pages are lying around and

1912. someone sees the word damaged testicles on it, they'll wonder what we are teaching here.

1913. So the actual word that the Bible uses is damaged testicles.

1914. Damaged testicles means that a person is unable to reproduce.

  1915. Unable to reproduce.

1916. Leviticus 21 ends with that.

1917. A person who has damaged testicles will not be able to offer bread before God or minister

  1918. grace.

1919. Damaged testicles mean someone who is unable to reproduce.

1920. And guys, we do not reproduce messages.

1921. We do not reproduce ministries.

1922. We do not reproduce mantles.

1923. We reproduce life on life.

  1924. Please understand that.

1925. In Acts 29, we are not going to reproduce ministries.

1926. We are not going to reproduce mantles.

1927. Oh brother, take this mantle and run.

  1928. No.

1929. We are not going to reproduce messages.

1930. We are going to reproduce life, guys.

1931. The life that is within us that Christ is creating as a people.

1932. When we go to Montreal, if Montreal should work out, we will not reproduce going to Indonesia

1933. or to Bahrain or to India.

1934. We will not reproduce this worship.

1935. We will not reproduce having this furniture for church.

1936. We will not reproduce breakfast on Sunday mornings.

1937. But we'll reproduce the DNA that Christ has put within us so that the other person can

1938. take it and run as they please with their own personality.

  1939. Life on life.

  1940. That's what we reproduce.

  1941. You don't want clones.

1942. That's why we don't want an Acts 29 chapter.

1943. We don't want anything to look like this.

1944. We want to reproduce life on life.

1945. You can be a husband and yet not be a father.

1946. A husband is not a father till he reproduces.

1947. So you can have loyal husbands that can still be input in fathers.

1948. And check your lives, guys.

1949. I remember the resistance I had to the whole idea of father-son when Eddie first brought

  1950. it up.

1951. And I've talked to you about it.

1952. There was a resistance in my heart towards the whole idea because I thought it was too

  1953. intense.

1954. I found it a little too intense and I didn't know what it meant.

1955. And I thought, how will this translate and what does this connectedness mean?

1956. And so I knew there was a resistance that's coming up.

1957. And I'd like to say to you again, gently and plainly, there are people right now in this

1958. room in Acts 29 and you are an intrinsic person in this house, but you still have a resistance

  1959. towards coming into a father-son relationship.

1960. And while I understand that resistance, I say to you, you are going to lose out.

1961. I'm putting it very plainly and gently.

1962. You are not identifying with Jacob.

1963. But like Eddie said before you, when he called me up for prayer on October 5th, he said,

1964. this is not Jacob identifying with Eddie.

1965. It's the spirit within Jacob identifying with the spirit in Eddie.

1966. And therefore having downloaded into my life all the grace that is in his life.

1967. And is there grace in my life?

  1968. Absolutely.

1969. This was what I was born for.

1970. And you will download the grace in my life into your life and increase in intensity and

1971. produce children that are much greater than you or I.

1972. But till you connect as sons in this house to a father, you will not receive that.

1973. And it has nothing to do with this person.

1974. I have a very decent estimate estimation of myself and yet I know my faults.

1975. There are plenty every day.

1976. You are not connecting to this person.

1977. I welcome you, invite you to connect on that level so that you can be fathers because you

1978. can be a husband in this house and never be a father because you never were a son.

1979. This is not my advantage guys.

1980. This is your advantage and the advantage of the house.

1981. And I am glad that I modeled it first so that I can stand here confidently and speak to

1982. you knowing that I have the street creds for it.

1983. We reproduce life on life.

1984. We reproduce grace on grace.

1985. And we reproduce and release destiny.

1986. That's what we do guys.

1987. We reproduce life on life.

1988. We reproduce grace on grace.

1989. Meaning the graces in our lives we will reproduce in other people's lives.

1990. And we reproduce and release destiny.

1991. Meaning we bring up sons who are born with a sense of destiny.

1992. At the age of 12, Jesus knew.

  1993. He knew.

1994. This house knew from its inception what it was called to be.

1995. This house was not born in a vacuum, in a spiritual vacuum.

1996. From the day it was conceived, this house knew what it was called to be.

1997. We reproduce sons who have a sense of the destiny and then we release and thrust them

  1998. into it.

1999. We have to use Anne's word, launch them into the orbit they're supposed to.

  2000. I'm done.

2001. Feel free to ask questions.

2002. If you think you need to ask questions with regard to what I just said about fathers and

2003. sons, feel free to ask about that too.

2004. Guys, if you think you need to come and talk about any of these handicaps in your life

2005. with me, feel free to.

2006. I pray God that as you step into 2010 you'll have dealt with circumcision at Gilgal in

2007. every area of your life.

  2008. Any questions?

  2009. I know it's 1.45.

  2010. Any questions?

  2011. This is for-

  2012. This is for?

2013. How do you deal with it as a couple?

2014. I'd say first you deal with it individually and then you deal with it as a couple.

2015. Because these defects have to be first dealt with individually and then you deal with it together.
