  1. Teaching is called connected is because

  2. that was the first word I saw in my notes.

  3. It does, you could put any word there

  4. and it would still make sense.

  5. So don't put too much stock in the word connected.

  6. Just didn't want to spend time

  7. trying to come up with a title.

  8. So that's why it's called connected.

  9. That's a great start to a sermon, huh?

  10. So here's the thing, guys.

  11. I want to talk about some of the things we can do

  12. to really be at the cutting edge with God.

  13. These are really simple things.

  14. When it comes to cutting edge with God,

  15. it's nothing techie, nothing expertish.

  16. It's very simple, basic stuff.

  17. And so I'll list five things

  18. and then we'll start with the last one

  19. and then see if we have time to work the first four.

  20. So first thing that you've got to be mindful of

  21. is that I will be connected to my life source

  22. and that's where the title came from.

  23. I will be connected to my life source,

  24. my life source, me being God.

  25. I'll be connected to my life source.

  26. There is this whole idea of being really aware of

  27. and really letting God help you process the world every day

  28. through his filter, his heart, his mind,

  29. his habits, his attitude.

  30. And that's this whole idea of being connected

  31. to my life source.

  32. I won't explain it much

  33. because I want to do the fifth point first.

  34. But just like you would filter everything to,

  35. let's assume you fall in love tomorrow,

  36. you would filter your entire life

  37. through the person you've fallen in love with.

  38. You would change your schedule,

  39. you would change your work habits,

  40. you would change your dressing,

  41. you would change how you spend your money,

  42. you would change the nature of your phone calls,

  43. you would change your cologne.

  44. You would change everything

  45. so that you could filter it through this person

  46. that you have fallen in love with.

  47. Everything changes around.

  48. And that person becomes your,

  49. literally the one around whom your life revolves.

  50. And that's the whole idea of,

  51. I'll be connected to my life source.

  52. And the more you are able to do this unconsciously,

  53. the better off you are.

  54. The more you do it consciously,

  55. you know you're on the way,

  56. but you're not there yet.

  57. When it gets to a point where you're connected

  58. to God in a very unconscious or subconscious way,

  59. you know that, ah, shut, something is clicking.

  60. Because you aren't even aware of it.

  61. It's become very normal.

  62. Two.

  63. I will practice self-forgetfulness.

  64. I will practice self-forgetfulness.

  65. Self-forgetfulness.

  66. I will practice self-forgetfulness.

  67. I mean, if you read John chapter 13,

    John 13 chapter mention

  68. you'll find that Jesus excelled in this.

  69. In the first, the first point is from John 13 to,

  70. John 13, three I think,

  71. where it says Jesus, knowing where he came from

  72. and knowing where he was going

  73. and knowing that he had charge over everything.

  74. This is the whole idea of being connected.

  75. Then it doesn't matter whether you're fat, short,

  76. thin, smart, good-looking, not good-looking.

  77. It doesn't matter what you are.

  78. Once you know where you draw your life from,

  79. where you'll be going, like this guy was saying,

  80. like Prashant was saying,

  81. knowing that I'll either be with my father instantly

  82. and see him face to face,

  83. or I'll be with my father here.

  84. Either way, I'm not there or here.

  85. I'm always in his presence.

  86. Once you are connected to your life,

  87. then things become much simpler.

  88. There is a confidence you have inside you

  89. that has nothing to do with your externals.

  90. But it is so hard to develop

  91. because the world demands that our confidence

  92. be connected to things external.

  93. Second one is I'll practice self-forgetfulness.

  94. Self-forgetfulness is when you are not the center

  95. of your life, when you are not the center of your life.

  96. Things don't revolve around you.

  97. We'll talk about that later.

  98. Jesus practiced that so brilliantly

  99. in John chapter 13, verse 12.

    John 13:12

  100. He so seamlessly would move from being Lord and Messiah,

  101. the King of the universe,

  102. to a bond servant who's washing their feet

  103. with a towel around his waist,

  104. and then he'd get up and wear his robe again

  105. and continue being who he is.

  106. The seamless transfer from one thing to the other,

  107. from one person to the other,

  108. from one role to the other,

  109. without any thought for himself.

  110. Self-forgetfulness.

  111. Very difficult, guys.

  112. But if you can get this, it's amazing.

  113. Third one.

  114. I will be a lifter of other people's head.

  115. I will be a lifter of other people's heads,

  116. of other people's,

  117. and it's a clumsy sentence,

  118. but you'll get the hang of head,

  119. because he is the lifter of my head.

  120. Within these few sentences,

  121. almost the entire gospel is encapsulated.

  122. I will be the lifter of their head,

  123. as in, it doesn't matter who I meet,

  124. I'll lift their head up.

  125. I'll lift their head up,

  126. because most people aren't in that place.

  127. I mean, I think the only people who have the ability

  128. to lift their heads up is ones who have Christ in their lives

  129. because Christ is the only one who lifts your head up.

  130. Nobody else can lift your head up.

  131. No amount of money, no amount of fame,

  132. nothing lifts your head up.

  133. We are a people who have necks

  134. that have been broken by sin.

  135. We have props that support our head,

  136. but the only one who really lifts our head up,

  137. what does lift our head up mean?

  138. What does it really mean?

  139. It means that, my God, I'm taken care of.

  140. I have someone whose countenance shines brightly on me.

  141. That's the whole idea of Numbers, Chapter Six,

  142. where it says, the Lord bless you and keep you.

  143. This is called lifting up your head.

  144. May the Lord bless you and the Lord keep you.

  145. May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you.

  146. May he give you grace, may he give you peace.

  147. This is the lifting up of a drooping head.

  148. Nobody can do that.

  149. No dad, no mom, no pastor, no church can do that,

  150. but Christ alone can do that.

  151. And if we are the only ones who have our heads lifted up

  152. by Christ and his nail scarred hands,

  153. and I'm not trying to make it dramatic.

  154. I'm just saying he has nail scarred hands

  155. that you will feel as he lifts your head up.

  156. If we are the only ones that have that done to us,

  157. then our role on earth is to lift the heads of others up,

  158. letting them know that there is a God

  159. whose face is shining down on them.

  160. His countenance is lifted up on them,

  161. that they are no longer enemies,

  162. but can be made friends through the blood

  163. and through the cross.

  164. And then the last one is,

  165. I will expect,

  166. I will expect

  167. hand depend

  168. on God

  169. for the seven essentials

  170. of life.

  171. What are those seven essentials?

  172. One, dignity.

  173. Two,

  174. security.

  175. Three, provision.

  176. Four,

  177. purpose.

  178. Five,

  179. companionship.

  180. Six, freedom.

  181. And seven,

  182. sorry?

  183. Yeah, and there was one more, authority.

  184. That's the one, companionship and intimacy are together.

  185. I actually missed out on authority

  186. last time I talked about this.

  187. These are the seven things

  188. that I will be dependent on God for.

  189. These I will not seek outside of God.

  190. These I shall not derive from any other source.

  191. Not my pastoring, not from Acts 29,

  192. not from the money I have, not from the business I run,

  193. not from the job I have, not from the spouse I hold dear.

  194. Not from anything will I derive these seven essentials

  195. from.

  196. These essentials were promised to me in the Garden of Eden

  197. and God hasn't rescinded these things

  198. that he promised man in the Garden of Eden.

  199. I will expect it from you.

  200. I will not derive it, extract it,

  201. depend on anybody else for it, but you, oh God.

  202. And if we get these things right,

  203. you'll find yourself on the cutting edge

  204. of everything God does.

  205. Christ lived like this.

  206. Because these are the very things that Jesus said

  207. the pagans chase after and unfortunately

  208. his children chase after too

  209. and they chase after these things outside of him.

  210. And then the last one which we'll be talking about is

  211. I will

  212. I will

  213. I will live under order.

  214. I will live under order.

  215. I will live under order.

  216. That's the last one.

  217. I want to start there and then if I do a good job

  218. of finishing it, then we'll do the first four.

  219. Because at some point or the other,

  220. I've talked about the first four,

  221. but I haven't talked about order since 2012.

  222. I felt that given where we are at present,

  223. it really would do us good if we as a church

  224. just enjoyed God's order.

  225. It'll keep us safe.

  226. Because the more we deal with disorderly elements,

  227. the more it is important to live in order.

  228. The more we deal with chaos and disorder,

  229. the more it is, I hate using the word behoove,

  230. but I'm gonna use it.

  231. It behoves us to operate under order.

  232. Any questions on these before we go on?

  233. Any questions before we go on?

  234. Oh, by the way, Derek is in charge

  235. when they're going to Sao Paulo,

  236. so pray for him that he has the smarts

  237. to discern and know how things need to be done.

  238. Any questions on these guys?

  239. Cool.

  240. Okay.

  241. Okay, so what does it mean to live, go ahead.

  242. Living under order.

  243. To begin with Colossians 1, 16 to 19,

  244. and so I'll start there,

  245. and then there'll be a few more scriptures.

  246. So Colossians 1, 16 to 19,

  247. from the message, puts it this way,

  248. and I'm paraphrasing what has already been paraphrased.

  249. So there is order in the kingdom of God,

  250. and Colossians 1, 16 to 19 puts it this way.

  251. For everything, and then it goes on

  252. to explain all the everything,

  253. for everything God started in him finds its purpose in him.

  254. So spacious is he, so roomy,

  255. that everything of God finds its proper place in him

  256. without crowding.

  257. Everything of God, this is from the message,

  258. everything of God finds its proper place in him

  259. without crowding.

  260. Meaning that at the end of the day,

  261. God has a certain order that he has established on earth,

  262. and this order is an arrangement

  263. that has nothing to do with greater or lesser,

  264. but has everything to do with function in the present.

  265. So even in the Godhead,

  266. though father, son, and Holy Spirit are equal,

  267. there is an order where Jesus always says,

  268. I will submit everything to the Father.

  269. The Holy Spirit says, I will glorify Jesus.

  270. Even in the Godhead, there is order,

  271. and it is not because one is greater or one is lesser,

  272. because that is impossible in the Godhead,

  273. because God the Father, the Son,

  274. and the Holy Spirit are co-equal.

  275. Yet there is an arrangement of order,

  276. and the intent of that order is so that the function

  277. of the Godhead can be fulfilled,

  278. where God the Father sends Jesus Christ to the earth

  279. to die for man and rise up again,

  280. and Jesus Christ then sends the Holy Spirit

  281. from the Father to his body so that they may be empowered.

  282. So submission, let's put it this way.

  283. The one who covers first,

  284. and the one who covers all,

  285. one who covers all is God.

  286. So any time I submit to his order on earth,

  287. I'm really submitting to him.

  288. There is only one who covers first.

  289. I mean, he's the first who covers everything,

  290. and there is only one who covers all.

  291. And therefore, every time I submit to an arrangement

  292. that he has established on earth,

  293. I'm actually submitting to him first,

  294. and then to whoever he has put in place.

  295. So God's order does not touch upon

  296. the matter of who is greater.

  297. It's simply an arrangement in the way that God functions

  298. and God administers things.

  299. It's just that.

  300. Any questions?

  301. And this is not, we're not talking about church, guys.

  302. Please, please understand that this is not

  303. some kind of a power trip where I want you to submit

  304. to certain people or certain things,

  305. or if Derek is the head of the group going to Sao Paulo,

  306. now everybody has to polish his shoes.

  307. It's highly unlikely.

  308. I can't see Jeevan and Sheldon doing that anyways.

  309. But, Kerry's bag is different, yeah.

  310. But the point is this.

  311. This order thing does not just apply to church.

  312. Church is just a part of order.

  313. There is, let me talk about how many different things there

  314. are.

  315. So there is order in man, woman, wife, citizen, son,

  316. employee, pastor, apostle, worshipper, church.

  317. There are different areas where there is order.

  318. And all these orders or arrangements,

  319. God has prescribed in the Bible,

  320. go to the end of every episode that Paul writes.

  321. And what is he visiting?

  322. The order of the family, the order of employee, employer,

  323. the order of master, slave, the order of household,

  324. the order of church.

  325. He keeps visiting this.

  326. Why?

  327. Because one of the fundamental things

  328. that he wanted to emphasize is,

  329. hey guys, if you do not manage your lives well

  330. in the order that I have established in these institutions

  331. that I have created,

  332. then you are no different from the watching world.

  333. So to become a community that is distinct,

  334. that is counter to the world,

  335. we must learn how to joyfully jump

  336. into the arrangement of God.

  337. And the reason there are no hallelujahs at present

  338. as I say this, is because it goes against the grain

  339. of everything we grow up as in the pursuit

  340. of liberty, happiness, and equality.

  341. Because all those words are so opposed

  342. to you being my boss.

  343. And yet if I can happily jump into God's order,

  344. my God, man, God placed order here on earth

  345. so that you could prosper

  346. and so that your dominion could grow.

  347. Just think of that.

  348. God placed order here on earth so that you could prosper

  349. and so that your dominion could grow.

  350. What do you mean by dominion?

  351. Not dominion, domain.

  352. Yeah, domain and dominion can grow.

  353. That's why he placed order.

  354. So find out from the Bible the order of things

  355. for man and woman, for husband and wife,

  356. for older and younger, for citizen and country,

  357. for son and daughter, for employer and employee,

  358. for leader and those that are being led,

  359. for pastor and those that are in the church,

  360. for the church, for households, for worshipers,

  361. for the different functions in the church

  362. like apostle, prophet, teacher, evangelist.

  363. How about those?

  364. Why do they use words like first apostles?

  365. Why do they use words like this and that?

  366. Why?

  367. Because there's an order.

  368. It's not one that is greater than the other.

  369. Unfortunately, because it has been abused, we are scared.

  370. The moment anyone says, I'm an apostle,

  371. what's your immediate thought?

  372. He's gonna boss over me.

  373. And unfortunately, that has happened enough times

  374. where you're scared of it.

  375. But someone has to correct it.

  376. Why not us?

  377. Any thoughts, any questions, any arguments?

  378. Oh, let's not even go thoughts, questions, arguments.

  379. Any smiles?

  380. That's a relief.

  381. Step beyond the hedge of your present boundaries.

  382. So this was just the good news.

  383. Now the other side of the story.

  384. So step beyond the present,

  385. step beyond the hedge of our present boundaries.

  386. And Ecclesiastes 10, eight says,

  387. you will get bitten by the serpent.

  388. Step beyond the hedge of your present boundaries

  389. and you will get bitten by the serpent.

  390. Jacob, why are you preaching something like this now?

  391. Because I don't want any of us to be bitten by the serpent

  392. as we go battling the serpent.

  393. Because that is gonna happen, guys.

  394. That is where we are going.

  395. And it doesn't matter whether it's six people going in,

  396. the rest of us staying here,

  397. one person going in, the rest of us staying here.

  398. This is a group endeavor,

  399. whether it's one who goes or six who goes or two who goes.

  400. And so that is why I'm revisiting this.

  401. This was not my choice.

  402. I would rather avoid this topic.

  403. I like happy topics.

  404. So much sifting, much distress, much confusion,

  405. much affliction is the result of breaking the hedge.

  406. You want me to repeat that?

  407. Okay.

  408. Much sifting, much distress, much confusion,

  409. much affliction is the result of breaking the hedge.

  410. Uzzah and Ahio are examples where they decided

  411. that there was a protocol that God had given.

  412. They weren't the one who decided it.

  413. David was the one who really messed it up.

  414. There was a protocol that God had prescribed

  415. that decided not to go with that.

  416. And in the process, they broke the hedge.

  417. And in the process of breaking the hedge,

  418. Uzzah and Ahio were not able to enjoy

  419. what the Ark of the Covenant was supposed to do for them.

  420. That's just one example.

  421. Our intent is let's avoid breaking the hedge.

  422. Let's enjoy order,

  423. because God is the only one who keeps expanding our domain

  424. and he causes us to prosper

  425. when we flourish in his arrangement.

  426. Yep.

  427. Can you explain what sifting is?

  428. Sifting.

  429. Sifting is what Jesus said to Peter.

  430. When Peter said, I'll never deny you and stuff like that,

  431. Jesus said, Satan wants to sift you,

  432. as in cause a wind to come and uproot him

  433. from his so-called strong stance.

  434. And then Jesus said, Satan is trying to sift you,

  435. but I'm praying that after you get sifted,

  436. that you actually stand.

  437. So sifting is when,

  438. yeah, you guys live in a different generation.

  439. When I was young, they used to have this thing,

  440. I don't know what it's called,

  441. but they would put grain in it

  442. and they would shake it like this.

  443. When they shake it.

  444. Oh, it's called a sifter?

  445. What do you know?

  446. It's called a sifter.

  447. And so you sift it and the grain and the chaff separate.

  448. Yeah, that's called sifting, where it separates.

  449. Yeah.

  450. Yeah.

  451. I've been looking for a CD player for my mom in India.

  452. I couldn't find one.

  453. Yeah.

  454. So, much sifting, much distress,

  455. much confusion and affliction

  456. as a result of breaking the head.

  457. And one of the things you must figure out for yourself

  458. as we approach this stage in the life of the churches,

  459. know your ranking in the spirit realm.

  460. Know your ranking in the spirit realm.

  461. As in, know what you are presently able to do

  462. with absolute confidence in the person of Christ

  463. and stay within it and do not step into presumption.

  464. Know your ranking in the spirit realm.

  465. What am I confident of in Christ?

  466. I'm not here to do what someone else does.

  467. I'm not here to mouth off scriptures

  468. and pretend to be bold and brave.

  469. I'm not here to pull out people's teeth

  470. or do things to demons, this or that.

  471. No, I know what I am presently confident of doing in Christ.

  472. I intend to grow more in it tomorrow.

  473. But present, this is where I'm at.

  474. And therefore, it is within these boundaries

  475. that I operate.

  476. Because whenever you begin to imitate or copy someone

  477. or step into pet phrases that are being bandied around

  478. in churches, then you step into presumption

  479. and the enemy is just waiting for brute beasts

  480. who do not know what they are saying

  481. and begin to touch things that are spiritual

  482. that they have no idea of.

  483. Jude, I'm quoting from Jude.

  484. Well, not Jude, from Peter or Jude, one of them.

  485. Jude.

  486. Yeah.

  487. Whenever we step off the page,

  488. there is always a movement beyond the comfortable level.

  489. Yeah.

  490. There is a stretching in the sense of

  491. from what you previously used to a comfortable

  492. with your campus, to a comfortable with your campus.

  493. Yeah.

  494. How do we do that?

  495. Guys, whenever you're invited,

  496. whenever there's a stretching of faith,

  497. it's usually because, I pray God that we have come

  498. to a place where whenever there's a stretching of faith,

  499. you know it's because of an invitation from God.

  500. Faith is only stretched by God

  501. because he knows that Jacob thinks

  502. he is capable to stand behind this pew.

  503. But I know God says that he can take two more steps,

  504. but he doesn't know it.

  505. So what God does is he sometimes orchestrates circumstances

  506. or puts me in situations where I find myself without help.

  507. I'm alone at Penny Hill,

  508. and I now have to wrestle something

  509. that I didn't think I was ready for.

  510. And in the process, I find that,

  511. oh shucks, I have the muscle for it.

  512. So I'm stretched, but God is the one who does the stretching.

  513. He even arranges adversaries that I can beat.

  514. They look more powerful than me,

  515. but God knows that these are adversaries I can beat.

  516. He selects your opponents because he knows your strength.

  517. The one who doesn't know your strength is you.

  518. So whenever faith is stretched,

  519. it is stretched because he's inviting you,

  520. and that is the best way to grow your faith.

  521. Otherwise, you step into things

  522. that you necessarily were not invited into,

  523. and then you can't understand

  524. why you were not fully successful.

  525. Both have happened to me.

  526. And one of the things is, guys,

  527. if you want to know your ranking in the spirit,

  528. you have to walk with others who are better than you.

  529. Only then will you find out how good you are.

  530. I mean, I have won so many 100-meter sprints in my life

  531. when I've run alone, meaning there's no competition.

  532. I always win those races.

  533. But put another guy with me,

  534. and now I'm struggling because they always beat me.

  535. Any race that you run alone, you will always win.

  536. You only know your ranking when you are with a few others.

  537. Mediocrity is always exposed when passion shows up.

  538. Mediocrity is always exposed when passion shows up.

  539. So how do I know I'm mediocre

  540. when I begin to run with people

  541. who are more passionate than me?

  542. But if I run with people who are not as passionate as me,

  543. I always think I'm top dog,

  544. till I suddenly find that there are other dogs

  545. better than me.

  546. So I'm not a top dog.

  547. I'm a top dog.

  548. I'm a top dog.

  549. No, you're ranking in the spirit.

  550. Sometimes when I step into things that I'm not sure of,

  551. I'll even go and ask people around me saying,

  552. hey, I just spoke that out, I just said that.

  553. What do you think?

  554. Do you think that is foolish?

  555. Because it might be something I've never attempted before,

  556. but I want to be sure.

  557. Any thoughts, any questions?

  558. Or whatever you want to say.

  559. any questions. I'm not trying to instill fear, I'm trying to instill prudence.

  560. Because otherwise the spirit realm can engage a fool who is walking in

  561. presumption to drown. It's not too difficult to understand guys, God will

  562. invite you into things that are beyond you. Walk in confidence in what you know

  563. and when he puts you in situations where now it is beyond you, trust that just

  564. like Prashanth did, you will have everything that you need to say, do, think

  565. that it will be present and you'll come out victorious because he wears the

  566. victors crown. But be confident of whatever you do because anything that

  567. is not done in faith is sin and faith is rooted in a person and so your

  568. confidence comes from what you know of that person, your relationship with the

  569. person, how you've tried that person, tested that person, what you know of that

  570. person, the amount of his substance in you, that is what you base things out of.

  571. When you step beyond that, that's when it's foolish. It's not complicated, we

  572. just think it's complicated. Yeah and this is so common in Christianity where

  573. we imitate someone who says something or does something without actually having

  574. the knowledge of it. I love Caleb, the guy knew what he was made of. There was

  575. another guy called Barzilai. Barzilai was 80. David says to Barzilai, hey Barzilai

  576. come I'm gonna be king, you can come and reign with me. Barzilai says I'm just an

  577. 80 year old, leave me alone here, my tongue will not taste your food and my

  578. eyes will not see those pleasures and so the guy stays behind and David says okay

  579. I'll take your son with me and his son's name is Kim Ham and he takes Kim Ham

  580. with him and so now along comes Caleb. Caleb's 84. Caleb's 84 and he goes up to

  581. Moses and he says give me those hills. Why? Because in those hills are the

  582. anachs and who are the anachs? They're about twice my height and what else do

  583. they have? They've got chariots with wheels that have like iron that will cut

  584. other chariots asunder. Give me those hills, I'll take them. Oh to

  585. Joshua, sorry not to Moses, thanks I do. Someone is awake and so and Joshua

  586. gives them the hills of Anak. This man knew what he had inside him and based on

  587. that it wasn't a presumption, it was a stretch at 84. This is when you

  588. can walk further and take what is yours and is waiting to be taken. Guys we'll

  589. get there, shucks we'll get there but we have to get there. Here are some

  590. critical steps to staying within bounds.

  591. First step, discover and discern the prophetic word over the church you

  592. belong to or the house you belong to and over your life. Discover and discern the

  593. prophetic word over your house as in the church you belong to and over your life

  594. or even over your family. It'll give you an idea of the grace that God has given

  595. you, the location you're supposed to operate in and the things you're

  596. supposed to do. Camp by your own standard. Each tribe they would arrange

  597. themselves in a shape like this, there would be three tribes here, three tribes

  598. here, three tribes here, three tribes here, each would have a standard that they would

  599. camp by. So Judah would be the one who is right up here north and they would

  600. always be on the forefront. They knew what they were called to. When you go

  601. into Deuteronomy 33 and Exodus 49, no, yeah, let's assume it's somewhere there.

  602. It is, you will find that each tribe had its standard, each tribe had its trait

  603. and so if you can discover and then discern that this is what God has said

  604. over this church that I belong to and this is what God has said over this

  605. family that I'm raising up, this is what God has said over my life, then you're

  606. able to know that, ah, so during this time in my life this is what's gonna happen.

  607. I will be able to function here in this location, operate this way. Things will

  608. work out guys. You know, last year I told you this, I'm leaving Mongolia and this

  609. guy, big guy, huh, like this is a big Mongolian guy and he looks like he just

  610. came riding out of the hills and he comes and he gives me a white stone and

  611. a sling and he says I don't know why I'm giving you this white stone and this

  612. sling but all I know is that this white stone and this sling are a prophetic

  613. action. I don't even know what prophetic action I'm, this is supposed to convey

  614. but here is a white stone and here is a sling and I'm talking about an actual

  615. sling like that he made with his own hands. The kind of sling that you go, that

  616. sound comes when you turn it and you let go of that stone and it'll hurt man. I've

  617. not tried it in my house because it's too small but I even last night I was

  618. swinging that sling and I've left it on my center table because I know what it

  619. means. I know what slings bring down but ever since it was given to me I know

  620. what has transpired in my life in terms of what I can take down and what I could

  621. not do before I can do now. But why give this anecdote just so that you understand

  622. that there are things that are happening in your life, things spoken over your

  623. life, things spoken over the church you are part of, things spoken over your

  624. family that if you could treasure they will change you inside so that you now

  625. will not break boundaries. You know that this is the area allocated to me at

  626. present and in this area I'll function really well. This happens every day at

  627. work, in your school, in your office, it happens every day. Your principal comes

  628. and tells you this is the area that you're supposed to operate in. You've

  629. been here for seven years this is now what you can do. You can now copy free on

  630. the photocopy or whatever you want or you can eat in the staff room or you can

  631. play the piano whenever you want. Your boundaries expand. It's one really cool

  632. way of staying within boundaries. Camp by your standard because everybody in this

  633. church has an idea of it. There's nobody who doesn't. Embrace it. You will know

  634. where you will be located and it'll always be beyond you, always be beyond you,

  635. always be beyond you. You think I wasn't scared that night in Jodhpur? I woke up

  636. twice and then I went to sleep because I knew there was no need to be scared. You

  637. think Prashant wasn't fearful his initial response was yes I was fearful.

  638. Any questions? Please guys sometimes things may not, if it is really not clear

  639. ask questions. If it's kind of hazy don't ask questions because it will become

  640. clearer later. Hazy is good. Murky is bad. There's hardly any difference.

  641. Okay it must be hazy right? It's all good.

  642. The next. Your inheritance is connected to someone and some people. Your

  643. inheritance is connected to someone and some people that God has brought into

  644. your life. That God has brought into your life. It's impossible to get all that

  645. God has reserved for you till you're connected to someone and to a people

  646. group because that's the only way you can begin to receive the inheritance

  647. God has for you. If you don't have a house, a person who has many houses

  648. doesn't get an inheritance. An orphan doesn't get an inheritance. Find your

  649. house and find your father and you will thrive in your inheritance. And my

  650. father I'm not talking about me. I'm not talking about some pastor. I'm not

  651. talking all I mean is connect with guys who can pour into your lives like

  652. fathers do. Just leave it at that. I'm not even talking about fathers and sons

  653. and stuff like that. Connect yourself to a people group because you have to have

  654. a house that you belong to. It's so critical. Everybody knows that in the

  655. natural but somehow when it comes to the spiritual we take liberties and yet God

  656. very clearly says in 1 Corinthians 15 first the physical then the spiritual.

  657. What are we trying to say here? In the physical we know that you can belong to

  658. multiple houses and yet if you don't have a family name you do not get an

  659. inheritance. You also know that an orphan does not have an inheritance

  660. because he does not have a father. Well then if that is how it is in the

  661. think that physical institution came from from what God had already established

  662. and that is why it's critical that I keep repeating the word critical too

  663. often that your inheritance is connected to a group of people or a house and your

  664. inheritance is connected to ones who like fathers can pour into your life and

  665. what do you mean by inheritance? Everything that God has for you here on

  666. earth will become yours when these aspects align. Challenge me on that

  667. question me on that. I'll give you story after story in the Bible where this is

  668. true story after story after story. There won't be a Paul without a Barnabas

  669. there won't be a Timothy without a Paul there won't be an Elisha without an

  670. Elijah there won't be a Peter without a Jesus there won't be a Barnabas without

  671. a Paul there won't be an Isaac without an Abraham there won't be a Jacob

  672. without an Isaac it is just continuous the Bible is full of people to the

  673. extent that God says in Psalms that I put the solitary in families one must

  674. have these two connections they are vital for our fullness of inheritance

  675. and once you have this you know aha this yesterday Aaron and I were talking

  676. about our family names he's got a funny family name mine is funnier but the

  677. point is this that because of that unless Jeevan goes and steals both our

  678. inheritances which he is very capable of because he has his amazing ability of

  679. going and speaking to your mom and taking your inheritance away just

  680. warning you guys but if you can prevent that from happening it is likely that

  681. because you have a family name certain things will come to you and therefore

  682. find your house and find ones that you can connect to as fathers who can pour

  683. into your life and if it not be in this church find it somewhere else you can be

  684. a part of this house and find people who pour into your lives because you will

  685. get your inheritance you must and what do I mean by inheritance I know I'm

  686. repeating myself it is what God has for you here on earth to fulfill to complete

  687. to enjoy that was allocated before you even born but someone has to come and

  688. help you discover it you have to do nothing inheritance is a never worked

  689. for they're always obtained and they obtained through one simple thing

  690. relationship that is a mind-boggling part of it you have to do nothing to

  691. it is obtained through relationship and that is why it is so hard to get it

  692. because we'll have to cultivate relationship

  693. so if you don't know your inheritance what happens is you start moving ancient

  694. landmarks and you cross boundaries because you don't know what is yours

  695. right so if this is tasty you'll go and take some of that if that's tasty you'll

  696. go to someone take some of this and the Bible says do not move ancient landmarks

  697. those fences I have allotted are meant for you meant for you work in them as

  698. you do I'll expand your boundaries but don't keep going into third don't let

  699. your impatience your inability to say no especially for us Canadians your

  700. empathy or your tendency to take up causes provoke you to cross boundaries

  701. let me read that again don't let your impatience with the process ah this is

  702. taking too long they're offering me this ah this is taking too long I can go take

  703. that ah this is taking too long now don't let your impatience don't let your

  704. inability to say no don't let your empathy and don't let your tendency to

  705. take up causes provoke you to cross boundaries I think of Jehoshaphat who

  706. almost lost his life because he did not know how to say no to Ahab in first

  707. Kings 22 Ahab asked Jehoshaphat to join him in the battle

  708. Jehoshaphat knew better he was known as a godly king but he did not know how to

  709. say no to Ahab and so Ahab then gets him to dress up like Ahab and so now

  710. there are people pursuing him want to shoot arrows at him and Jehoshaphat

  711. escapes by the seat of his pants because he agreed to go into an alliance and

  712. did not know how to say no now the guy that I really feel bad about in Luke

    Luke 15 chapter mention

  713. chapter 15 is Barnabas here was a man who in Acts 13 the Holy Spirit said set

  714. aside for me Barnabas and Saul but his empathy for John Mark who had left them

  715. in an earlier journey his empathy for John Mark resulted in an argument that

  716. had Barnabas disappear from the New Testament never hear of him again

  717. let not your empathy let not your impatience let not your inability to

  718. say no and let not your tendency to take up causes provoke you into

  719. crossing boundaries because Jehoshaphat nearly lost his life and got deceived by

  720. lying spirits that were active in Ahab's life any questions which one oh do not

  721. let your empathy your inability to say no this is something so many of us

  722. struggle with inability to say no your impatience or your tendency to take up

  723. causes tendency to take up causes tendency to take up causes result in

  724. you crossing boundaries examples sometimes I wonder and this is just a

  725. wonder so I could be completely wrong sometimes I wonder if John the Baptist

  726. had left Herod and his wife and the marriage alone then would he have had

  727. his head cut off was that something he was supposed to do or not supposed to do

  728. just a thought I don't know I got to know the causes I'm supposed to take up

  729. now what I said about John the Baptist's supposition I could be completely wrong

  730. but take up causes that you're being asked to take up fourthly regardless

  731. regardless of flattery where people flatter you regardless of invitation

  732. regardless of the excitement of doing something regardless of the pressure

  733. that a pastor may put on you regardless of circumstances regardless of leadership

  734. that may be defective when you know that this is what God is at present calling

  735. you to then don't break the boundaries of the Holy Spirit that the Holy Spirit

  736. has placed around you come nicely and say to me if I ask you to do something

  737. that you know you are very sure is not your cup of tea that hey Jacob this is

  738. what I feel the Lord saying and trust me if it is God and I pray God that I

  739. recognize it I won't push you

  740. sometimes you just have to know and you got it's a very fine line between

  741. stubbornness and confidence because one shifts into the other easily but

  742. regardless of how much someone flatters you how much summer regardless of

  743. invitation regardless of excitement regardless of pressure regardless of

  744. fame regardless of circumstances regardless of leadership that may be

  745. defective don't break boundaries that the Spirit of God has presently set

  746. around you in Jude chapter 1 verse 6 and 9 Michael the archangel knew his

    Jude 1:6

  747. boundaries with Lucifer so they're arguing about the body of Moses and even

  748. then Michael the archangel the chief of angels who has far greater power now

  749. because Lucifer has been cast out Michael the archangel does not cross

  750. boundaries in his addressing of Lucifer and yet we also see in verse 9 that

  751. there were angels that left their boundaries and God put them in chains

  752. and locked them up it is a transgression that is committed long ago but it is a

  753. fatal angelic transgression and many of them are locked up because of it and if

  754. that is how God deals with angels how does he deal with his own because

  755. judgment first begins in the house of God

  756. I was invited three months ago to this meeting in New York where a very famous

  757. guy is coming I was invited to lead worship there and sit with a guy and do

  758. some other stuff and the guy was inviting me was a really good friend and

  759. I had to say no because I know the boundaries that I'm not supposed to

  760. cross and I know the boundaries I'm not supposed to enter into and yet think of

  761. this guys you've heard me talk about how one day there will be a time and we will

  762. set up something in New York you know that I've I went there and spent two

  763. days there and despite all that it doesn't matter that an invitation comes

  764. that them flatly might come that people will pay a ticket for it it doesn't

  765. mean squat if it is crossing boundaries that are set for you by God or crossing

  766. into boundaries that you know which is Greek for something is wrong with the

  767. whole thing yeah don't worry that was just a Hindi phrase fifthly the fourth

  768. point is it doesn't it doesn't matter that people may flatter you people may

  769. invite you know that if this is the realm I'm supposed to at present stain

  770. then I'll stay within it because in this realm I'm confident until till it's an

  771. invitation that I know is from God and you usually know it is from God because

  772. he speaks before anyone else speaks about it or he's already started stirring

  773. it up inside he hasn't said anything but when someone says it you know that

  774. something about this is yeah clicking you haven't heard it before no one said

  775. it to you before but when it is being told you know that so for me when I'm

  776. talking to people over the last 10 days about something set up in the Amazon

  777. something set up in Africa and then she pulls out the song and says it I'm

  778. thrilled that she's leading worship today because I wouldn't have ever

  779. attempted that song so in the Amazon rainforest and the African plains if

  780. believers can for me that is like confirming something that I've been

  781. holding in my heart for a while has God spoken directly to me no but has it been

  782. stirring absolutely yes so a song like that does wonders for me some of us are

  783. going through really difficult situations right now really difficult

  784. situations but the thing in difficult situations is to quickly latch on to old

  785. rhythms of God and your difficult situations will fade away just like that

  786. song says guys I'm telling you in really difficult situations find yourself in

  787. the eye of the storm head for the eye of the storm because that's where there is

  788. no storm head for the center of that storm stand there and recover the face

  789. of God and you do that and that song goes into effect turn your face upon

  790. Jesus look full at his wonderful face and the things of the earth will go

  791. strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace I guarantee you I guarantee

  792. you this external factors are supposed to rob us of God what if in the external

  793. pressures that are on you they chase you to God's face again can you imagine

  794. what happens to the stone I got a close so yeah an invitation to ministry or a

  795. God project or opportunity is not a divine commission you must know your

  796. Macedonian call and remember whenever you're given a mandate the devil will

  797. try to tempt you to short-circuit it he did that with Jesus and whenever you're

  798. given a mandated by God the devil will try to short-circuit it stop me if I

  799. told you the story have I okay I went and prophesied on someone in a certain

  800. country and the guy gave me some money and I told you the story

  801. no this happened yeah happened six months ago prophesied on this guy and

  802. felt that the guy was not a straight guy he was a little crooked but he gave me

  803. some money and insisted that I take it as a gift he's a very wealthy person so

  804. took the money went back to that city six months ago and the guy called again

  805. said you're in town could you come and pray and I'm asking God should I go or

  806. should I not go and God is not answering and then the guy is giving me the choice

  807. you can come home and pray or I can come to you and I'm asking God should I go to

  808. his house or should I stay and God's not answering and inside me I also know that

  809. if I go and pray for him it's going to give me money and I'm asking God and he's

  810. not answering so I asked these friends of mine to drive me to this guy's house

  811. and I pray for him and he's still not straightened out his ways and I know as

  812. I'm praying there that something about this is not right I finished praying and

  813. this time he gives me three times the money that he last gave me and I knew he

  814. would do it and I did my usual no thank you no thank you but he gave it and I

  815. took it and soon as I got back to Vancouver I for seven days was in such

  816. horrible pain that I've never been in my life before I'm standing in faith I'm

  817. praying for healing I'm doing this I'm doing that nothing is happening I'm

  818. saying God what is happening and then I just felt that in some strange way I had

  819. peddled a gift because I and I suddenly realized that the one of the reasons God

  820. wasn't saying anything was for this one time he wanted to test my heart just

  821. like Hezekiah's heart was tested and I failed I remember soon as I realized and

  822. took me seven days to realize soon as I realized I took the entire money send it

  823. to someone in that country and told them go return it to this man and tell him

  824. that I just want to bless him and use it for his ministry and I added a little

  825. more than he gave me and send it back and the moment I called this guy and

  826. told him to do it my pain ended break the hedge and the serpent will bite I've

  827. learned both ways guys you guys have to go okay you can get up and go and I'll

  828. make my usual announcement oh that's what I meant have a safe flight sorry so

  829. when are you back I did this time okay and then when are you leaving again is

  830. this a shopping trip to Germany yeah break the head in the serpent will bite

  831. guys stay within boundaries they know your know when God is inviting you when

  832. it's not God because every time you're given a mandate Satan will try to help

  833. you short-circuit it and he tried this with Jesus bow to me and I'll give you

  834. everything that you want without you having to go to the cross I'll give you

  835. everything you came to make the kingdoms of the world the kingdom of God well

  836. take it just bow to me you have the power turn the stones into bread and you can have what you want

  837. yep don't do something unless don't respond to invitations just because

  838. you know it's God please understand that this message is important at this time

  839. because of what this church is heading towards you'll have to trust me on that

  840. one you'll have to trust me on that one lastly God's grace keeps you and

  841. sustains you when you operate within your boundaries but while you're
