So every so often, it's not that God is absent, but an awareness of God,

every so often an awareness of God begins to come in across the earth like a tsunami.

Every so often the awareness of God comes in across the earth like a tsunami,

meaning you don't see it, it suddenly begins to wash right across the earth.

So every so often an awareness of God comes in across the earth like a tsunami.

And if you were there for the Christmas Eve service, during worship,

one of the things God started saying was that this is the appointed time.

So we then went down that road and I read out a word to you, and I want to read it out to you again.

So we have context for why we're going down this road today.

So on December 21st, three days before Christmas Eve, this was posted on Facebook by Pastor Mike,

many of you have known him, and he had a dream and he doesn't know how this relates to us.

So I just posted it online and I read it out during Christmas Eve and it says,

I had this dream last night. It was so vivid and real.

In this dream, the Lord was revealing to me that 2025 and going forward,

there would be radical changes as the church rises to a new level of maturity

and that this maturity will be expressed through the younger generation.

I call them the Joshua generation.

Major works of the Spirit of God will be seen and experienced in several nations.

The young people would be on a quest for more of God, such as we have not seen before.

In this dream, I remember that I was writing about apostles and apostolic ministry

and several young believers started asking me all kinds of questions about it.

Hear me.

I do believe that things are going to be accelerated in the next while, beginning from 2025.

Miracles and signs and wonders shall be experienced by many.

A lot more happened in this dream, but this is what I was allowed to remember,

so I immediately wrote it down.

A lot of this may seem to happen suddenly, but from the Lord's perspective, that is not so.

All he is doing is answering many years of prayer that has been stored up in heaven

and now was the appointed time for him to bring them to pass.

So get ready, get ready, get ready, for we are in a holy move of God.

I read this out on Christmas Eve and he had no idea that we had been praying for this thing

with what he calls the Joshua generation, that across the earth this may begin to swamp 20s and 30s.

And that is the context for this teaching.

That's why I asked if people were here in 2021, because we talked about this in 2021.

And some of us may not remember and some of us were not here.

So every so often an awareness of God comes in across the earth like a tsunami.

And at present, based on what I just read and based on the years that we've been praying for this,

this is the appointed time we are in.

This is the appointed time we are in.

And what is this time?

A going of God among the 20s and the 30s.

A going of God among the 20s and the 30s, meaning a going out of God among the 20s and the 30s.

Does God do things like that? Yes.

He has in his own time the desire to visit certain people groups, certain nations.

He calls it the appointed time. I don't know why he chooses certain times.

He usually announces it. He almost always announces it before he does it, so that people are aware.

And then he goes.

He can do it on his own, but like we know, he prefers doing it with his children.

A going out of God among the 20s and the 30s.

We've visited this before, but the moment I say 20s and 30s, if you think, ah, that just leaves me out.

No, it's a going out of God among the 20s and the 30s.

But he goes among them through the 30s and the 40s and the 50s and the 60s and the 20s and the 10s and the 5s.

And the 70s and the 80s, just so Mike is included.

Yeah? So I did talk to him about this before.

Yes, I did take his permission before I brought it up.

We had a quick discussion before the teaching.

So everyone is involved in this, though it's a going out of God among the 20s and the 30s.

And so there is, we usually call movements like this, we call them revival.

But I'd like to have us remember another word every time we use the word revival.

I'm not saying don't use it, but think.

Disruptive glory. Disruptive glory.

As in, God in his full splendor disrupting what has been status quo.

Just on the side, eh?

In Habakkuk chapter 2, and this has nothing to do with the teaching, though it might be a good segue.

In Habakkuk chapter 2, verse 3, it says, this is for an appointed time.

Habakkuk 2:3

Don't be hassled when it delays or when it looks like it's not going to happen because it will come to pass because it's a promise of God.

Especially during this time of the year, guys, many of us who have been waiting for something to happen or waiting for something new to happen or waiting for a promise to happen,

when it doesn't happen, it kind of sets you up for the year ahead, eh? Sets you up in a bad way.

It's like, ah shucks, I thought God was going to give it to me, but nothing happened.

Ah shucks, I thought I was going to qualify. It didn't happen.

Ah shucks, I thought I was going to get this job. I went for the fourth interview and nothing happened.

And literally sets you up for a fall.

God does work chronologically. He has feasts. He has times.

And so while New Year resolutions are not that important, new starts are important to God.

And as you approach the first, don't look back at the things that haven't come to pass.

Don't look back at the things that the next one week that looked like shucks.

They almost came to fruition and then the bottom gave away because it sets you up for a fall.

Don't go that route. It's a trick.

Hope that is crushed makes the heart weary.

Just be aware of that, eh? It's an old trick.

And so when it comes to this, again, there's this guy I met long ago.

His name was Joshua Fowler.

And he writes his book and in the book he says, delay is not denial.

Delay is not denial.

And so sometimes when things take time, we begin to either relax our grip on it

or get distracted and go into other things.

This is one of those things where because you've stayed with this, you will see the fruit of it.

And if you haven't locked your heart on it, you still have time.

The strange thing is whether you lock your heart on it or not, you will see it.

Or whether you taste it or not is different.

Yeah? Any questions thus far before we go on?

So what can God do when he turns up to disrupt things? What is his intent?

Like I said, we talked about this in 2021.

One, his intent to come and disrupt things affect the 20s and the 30s is so that he can rebuild David's tent.

Rebuild David's tent. What is David's tent? The church.

He can rebuild David's tent.

Every so often, you renovate your house, you rebuild things.

Because they're either decaying or old or there's newer inventions or newer tech that has come in that will help your house do better.

God does the same thing. He has new things to release here on earth that he thought of before the earth was founded.

So one of the reasons why God does this is because he wants to rebuild David's tent as in the church.

So that's one of the reasons he does this.

But, Jigga, why is this important? Why doesn't God just do it? Why do we need to learn about this?

Because the people without knowledge will not be able to steward what God does.

The people without knowledge will not be able to steward what God does.

In fact, one of the things that God does when his glory comes into a place, it says in Habakkuk 2.14,

and the glory of the Lord will cover the earth and the knowledge of the Lord will fill the earth as the waters cover the seas.

So it would be so much easier to say, why does it have to go down this road?

Why can't we just have God turn up and revive people and that's it?

That's simply because one of the things God wants to do is us to think like him, not just us to watch his deeds.

It says about Israel in Psalm 105, I think, that Israel knew God's acts. Moses knew God's ways.

Israel knew God's acts. Moses knew God's ways. To know his ways, we have to know how he thinks.

That is the knowledge of God.

Second, when God turns up like that, he does it so that future spiritual disaster can be averted.

I don't know about recent times, but when the Beatles were on, when Woodstock was on,

when this strange freedom of hallucinogenic drugs and flower power was on,

at the same time, God began to start something called the Jesus people.

It started in the streets of New York.

And these were hippies who had turned to Jesus. They were still dressed the same way.

They still had flowers in their ear and they still behaved the same way.

But the one thing that had changed is that the free spirit that they had now began to go to different places.

I was in a tiny town called Bukaro in Bihar, which is known as a graveyard of missions.

One day, these guys turn up. It looked like they jumped out of an Archie comic book.

And they were there on the streets and they had guitars and long hair.

And they came up to me and they asked me, do you know Jesus?

I don't know what they carried. I didn't even know what to say.

All I knew is it meant something and I burst into tears. And I was 11.

Why am I bringing that up? Because God always raises up a group of people to avert future disaster.

One of the reasons God is trying to affect, not trying, one of the reasons God will affect the 20s and 30s

is simply because the future disaster will be averted.

What Woodstock and what The Beatles and what a whole generation was supposed to do

also ended up creating a people that were filled with the power of the Holy Spirit

because Azusa happened just shortly before that.

People began to speak in tongues. People began to see healings.

It is strange how it is countered. God is no man's fool. He sees it before time.

I wish there was a way that I could convey to us the truth or the fact that for some strange reason

God wants to initiate this through this church. That is the foolishness of this.

If somehow we could hook on to that and become aware of that and yeah,

it should be like a finger in and you don't let go.

That it is, that something that is supposed to go across the earth is going to be initiated through you.

How absurd is that? How brilliant is that at the same time?

That is the beauty of this. The third thing is why does God want to do this?

The reason I am speaking about this is because of what happened on the 24th

and because of the dream that was seen, not for us but really for us.

Third thing, it brings course correction. It brings course correction.

As in, if the ship is going off course, it brings correction.

And it births a whole new set. It births a whole new generation of reformers.

So imagine a Caleb in Belfast who perhaps goes back, has spent three weeks here doing my laundry,

but is affected by the Spirit present in our midst.

The Spirit of God is present everywhere.

The Spirit of God is present in Belfast, is present in every corner of the earth.

But the Spirit of God does things through certain people, certain persons on a ski hill in a church.

And what if he gets affected by this?

What if he gets affected to a point where he is affected more than any of us?

What then happens in Belfast?

20s and 30s start getting affected. He is only 20.

One of the things we were talking about is how can we build incubators in different parts of the world

so that 20s and 30s can get cultured in an incubator?

Two nights ago, and I am sorry I am picking on him,

two nights ago he had this really sad face and he said,

I am going back and it won't be the same.

And then he went and sat out in the balcony in the cold and I had half a mind to lock him

and then I thought, no, the guy is really hurt. And so I didn't.

But the point is this, when he goes back, what is there?

But what if something could be created in different parts of the world?

That's why we have been talking about Go over the last three weeks.

Peru, Nepal, Papua New Guinea.

More places will be added to that.

What a marvellous privilege we have, church.

Why did this get buried into our DNA?

We can't avoid this.

It will never die, unless this whole church dies, this thing will not die.

Four.

There will be divine visitations.

There will be divine visitations.

That will quicken.

That will quicken us.

And just break religion.

Break religion.

Could you, could you, don't respond to satisfy me,

but couldn't you, let me put it that way, couldn't you taste,

couldn't you taste a bit of a divine visitation when Dilna came up and started singing?

Didn't you suddenly realise that, ah, Tunis is a worship leader,

Jacob can say stuff, but this guy comes up and he doesn't have a voice as good as Tunis.

But as he sings and as he speaks, didn't you suddenly realise that, ah, shucks, this is God.

Imagine that multiplied through all of us, happening again and again and again.

Divine visitations that quicken and break religion, eh, destroys religion.

Visitation always destroys religion.

Next one.

It affects your lifestyle.

It begins to affect our lifestyle.

It begins to affect our way of living.

Because now we are very aware, aware of the greatness, the nearness and the holiness of God.

We become aware of it.

We become, and what is one word that encapsulates all of it?

Presence.

One of the things that happens when God goes out this way through a people or amongst a people

is that there's an awareness, a nearness, there's an awareness of the nearness, the greatness and the holiness of God.

In our midst, when we are not here, when we are at home tomorrow, when we wake up tomorrow,

when we go to work, when we are driving, that's when it catches.

This place is easy, guys.

Jumping here, feeling holy and pure here is easy.

It's after we leave here that it really counts.

But this begins to affect our after.

It begins to affect our after.

Because the more we get marinated in this, the harder it is to squeeze that marinade out of you.

Doesn't matter which frying pan you throw me in, I'll still smell of it.

That's when life begins to change.

So, I would say to you, he who has a year, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

Yeah?

That I wrote down deliberately.

It's from the Book of Revelation, but I'm saying it to you very plainly and very openly

so that we understand this moment in time, that he who has a year, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

The Spirit of God is releasing the winds of heaven from this place across the earth.

He is releasing winds of heaven, releasing winds of heaven from this place, from this people across the earth.

It's not from some other place.

It's not at some other conference.

It's from this place across the earth.

And it will break upon the young.

It will break upon the 20s and 30s.

What is this place?

Acts 29.

This church, all the churches connected to it, this people.

So that's why let's cut out from this place and think of it more along the lines from this people across the earth.

That's why I'm saying, he who has a year, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

He who has a year, let him hear what the Spirit of God is right now saying to this church and to churches.

Can you go to Isaiah 62?

Actually, we'll look at it later.

So if this is a case where God is releasing something like this, we have to ask the question, what?

And what is the promise?

What is the promise?

What is God releasing?

What is he releasing?

Because there's one thing to say, God is going out.

But to do what?

What is the promise?

And the question that we can take the arrow, like King Ahaz did when Elisha asked him to,

what is the arrow that we can take and start striking the ground?

What will God going out among the 20s and 30s produce?

That's a question that must be asked.

And the answer must, if possible, be memorized so that you can be asked anytime, and it'll come out like water.

through so I'll just write it. What is the promise? The promise is I am sending, I am

sending a purifying fire. I am sending a purifying fire from heaven that burns up

religious and historical junk. That's from Hebrews 12 27 to 29 and then I will

enter as the divine warrior. That's from Psalm 24 verse 7 and 8. Now you can see

Psalms 24:7

why Tooney's song is a song we sing often because he wrote the song based on

this promise. Now we will sing it at the end of the service. What is the intent of

God turning up like this? Because I want to set young men and women free. Where's

that from? That's from Isaiah 42 verse 3 and 4. What's he going to do? He's going

Isaiah 42:3

to take them, I will take them out of nations into the kingdom. I'll take them

out of nations into the kingdom. Where's that from? Revelation 5 verse 9 and 10.

What will he call them? I will call them sons and daughters. Hey what thrills me is how's he going

to do this through you and me? How is he going to be aware of being sons and daughters through

you and me? Do you know what it would mean for 20s and 30s to discover fatherhood? Can you

imagine it? Look at your lives and my life. Look at the difference it has made to know God as

father. It's been life-changing and it's not normal. I go to church after church after church

and they love the Lord and they do more work than us. They know him as Savior and Master but not

too many people know God as father. It's a beautiful thing and to be able to tell 20s and

30s about it, it's revolutionary. It changes life. So calling them sons and daughters and it's done

through us. The other thing that boggles my mind is guys there may be times where I am failing.

There may be times where I look at you and think you are failing and despite all that,

this God trusts us with a message that is supposed to affect the earth. That? Why?

That is weighty guys. Appointed to this place for a time such as this, each one of us,

with all our warts and pimples. Yeah. I'll call them sons and daughters and then what will you do?

I'll call them sons and daughters and I will invite them. I will invite them. You must understand

how God has set us up. I will invite them into that circle of dancing, abundance and joy. What

will God do? God will invite these young men and women set free into a circle of dancing,

abundance and joy. This idea of singing Brandon Lake's praise song or singing when you move to

the left and move to the right and all this stuff, it may seem like, okay, why do we do this song

all the way? Why does he call us out always? Because we need to create a circle of dancing,

abundance and joy that these ones can enter into. It is deliberate. When I think of it in retrospect,

I think to myself, oh shucks, you're setting us up so that these young men and women realize

that they're coming into a different place where it's not strictness, non-laugh, lip-sword before

you come into church, but it's a place where there is abundance, there is joy and there is dancing.

Joy must be expressed. It is not British. Sorry, Caleb. It must be expressed. There goes all the

20 and 30 year olds in Britain. Sometimes when this happens, dare to do it not because of the

church, not because of the music. Dare to do it because you're doing something prophetically.

I know that sounds heavy, but it's not. It's a simple prophetic act that you're engaging in

knowing that a time is coming when others will enter into the circle of dance. You see this in

the Middle East and in Israel very often. Jordan from Abu Dhabi, Jordan went to Israel some months

ago and he went to a church on Mount Carmel, on the actual Mount Carmel, and a Japanese pastor

pastors that. So he was sitting there and he's got feet that are bigger than most of us. He's

wearing these red shoes and this little lady comes along and grabs him. Then before he knows it,

he's joined the circle and there's this tall guy hopping around with all of them. I've got videos

of it. It is hilarious, but it is very normal in the Middle Eastern culture or in Israeli culture

to create circles of dance and people just keep joining. It is supposed to be a communal thing

and it is supposed to be when people join it, it is supposed to now portray to you that you have

become part of this. So sometimes do it more as an act in the future than anything else. I will

get a WhatsApp from Jordan today. Invite into the circle of dancing abundance and joy before,

I love this line, before the lion and the lamb, as in both the one who is absolute king and the

slain. And then one last line before the lion and the lamb. That's Jeremiah 31, verse 12 and 13.

Now who will they become? I will make them a torch bearing generation. A torch bearing generation.

I will make them a torch bearing generation that goes forth

and does not return empty. That's from Isaiah 55, 11 and 62. Guys, I assure you, you guys know me

well enough at least, the ones that have been here for a while, I cannot write this. This is a

God thing. This is in the work of man. A purifying fire from heaven that burns up religious and

historical junk. That's what I'll be sending. And then I will enter as a divine warrior. I want to

set young men and women free. I will take them out of nations into the kingdom. I will call them

sons and daughters. I will invite them into a circle of dancing abundance and joy before the

lion and the lamb. I will make them a torch bearing generation that goes forth and does not return

empty. Any questions? So whenever God gives a promise, where the promise comes, provision.

Where the promise comes, permission. I want you to understand that when it says provision,

it doesn't mean that the church will have more money. It means that anytime you take a promise

of God that's given to a people, any part of it that you take on for yourself, God will provide

so that you can do what you need to do. It's not that, oh, suddenly there'll be more offerings given.

It is, let's say she goes to do something that has to do with it. God will remember that with a

promise comes provision and permission. What do you mean by permission? That, hey Jacob, start dreaming.

I'll help you. I'll give you a green light. Keep going with the green light till I turn it red.

Don't be afraid. Don't wait for 42 confirmations. Like one pastor said, don't wait for a pygmy and

an admiral suit to come and sell you bread before you believe something. Just trust that

once he gives you a promise, you have the green light to walk in permission till it turns red.

That's how Paul would do it. Paul knew the promise. I'm sending you out into the Gentile nations.

And so he starts going. Whenever he meets a red light, then he stops. But he does not mean that

he stops and waits for confirmation now. He just stops, goes to bed, and then he goes on moving.

That's the appointed time dynamics.

Okay, green lights. Let's just take what you did. You wouldn't have come up unless you were given

permission. Once you were given permission, I asked you whether you had a song to sing.

And you came up and instead of just singing the song, you started speaking in between.

I could have stopped you and asked you to sing the song. And you said, no, I'm not going to sing.

I could have stopped you anytime. Or I could have cut in and interrupted in a way that wouldn't

embarrass you, but would take it a different direction. But you kept going because you knew

you had a green light. Till it turns red, you can keep going. It's a simple thing like that.

And it's the same in complicated things too. Most divine things or most spiritual things

always have an easy physical parallel that we can use to explain it. And once you have a green light

begin to move till it turns red. That is the very dynamics of appointed times.

As a provision will come to individuals and to what we need to do. And with it will come

permission to see what God wants to show us, agree with him, build things.

I don't know if you remember, I'm sure Derek remembers this.

A man woke up one day in March of last year. He is a very godly man. He's planted about 800

churches in one of the hardest places in India where they beat you and burn you. But he's planted

800 churches. I don't know why he thinks well of me. Every time I think about it, I think,

every time I see him, I want to like acknowledge him. But Tidus met him too. Gillian's met him.

And so he one day gets up and he writes to me saying, I heard he can't, he doesn't speak English.

He hardly can speak English. So he gets these three words, Samaritan, Netherlands,

go and build. Those are the three words he gets. He has no idea what it means. So he gets up in the

morning and he asks the Lord, how do I connect the word Samaritan, Netherlands and go build?

And at some point the Lord begins to speak to him and he realizes that it's not Samaritan,

it's Saint Martin's. But he doesn't know better when he writes it, he writes it as Samaritan's.

He writes it down as Saint Martin's. And then he realizes that there's an island and half of it

is French and half of it is Dutch. The French side is called Saint Martin's, the Dutch side is called

Saint Martin's. And then he calls me and says, Jacob, last night the Lord woke me, he spoke to me

in a dream and he said, you need to go to Samaritan, Netherlands and build something.

But this morning when I asked the Lord, he clarified it and he said, he said, I went and

started looking in the atlas. I couldn't find Samaritan and Netherlands, but I did find Saint

Martin's, that is the Dutch side of the island. And so would you go there? Because if you go there,

you and your church will build things there. So I'm going on Jan 5th. So what happens? Green light.

What do you do there? I don't know, but when we get there, we'll find out.

And if I don't go there, then it'll be disobedience because it was given in March.

There is a shelf life on promises.

So let's see what happens there. When I announced it in church in March or April, I said that a day

will come when just like YWAM has a place in Kona in Hawaii, so we will have a place in Saint Martin's

in the Caribbean. I don't even know where it is. I tried looking, it's not easy to find.

It got a fabulous airport. This is a beach and this is the airport. The planes fly over the

beach and if you stand in the way of a 747, you get sand in your face. That's just on the side.

It has no kingdom value. So guys, if this is a promise, what are we supposed to do?

Do you think you will do this? You're sitting up front, so I'm picking on you. Do you think you

will do this? Will you take this promise and wrestle and try to grasp it? Or will work? Will

two kids and a wife and a dog take over? Mia, you're getting a dog for New Year.

Sorry. All right. So my question to you, Vivek, is will you be able to take the time despite your

schedule and legitimate stuff that you have to do? Will you be able to wrestle and grasp with the promise?

Pardon? I want to. Yeah. And then once you begin to do that, you'll begin to

start living it. Once you start living it, only then will you be able to announce it.

Once you announce it, others will get ignited, as will you.

Once you ignite, then you will carry it to the nation of Surrey and Nepal.

Yeah. So that's how this works. What is our responsibility in all this? This is our

responsibility. First responsibility is will I wrestle and grasp it? Will I wrestle and grasp it?

Once I wrestle and grasp it, then will I live it? I have to live it to a point.

Not live it perfectly, but will I begin to live it? Will I, every time I see a 20 or a 30-year-old,

something leap in my heart? Every time I dance here, will I remember that,

yeah, a day is coming when many others will join the circle?

Will I think like that? Will I begin to live it? Purifying fire, is my life getting any purer?

I mean, what's his name? Just emphasizing that throughout worship today. Will my life get any purer?

Sorry, Tony. And then after that, once this happens, you can't announce what you don't adore.

You cannot announce what you don't adore. So now that I've begun living it, can I announce it?

You only announce things you're excited about. Will I announce it? Once I announce it, people

catch fire. Everything is ignited with words, guys. God always ignites things with words.

So do we. We imitate the God we serve. We announce it, and it ignites. Once it ignites,

you can carry it. You can carry it into different nations or across the street. This is how it works.

So that's something we need to do.

One of the questions I was asking God years ago and they still ask is, why ask?

Besides his sovereign choice, besides the fact that he works with nobodies,

because he is more obvious then. Besides that, why ask? And here was a response for the last

20 years through Ticken Tin.

I know through is spelled wrong. Yeah, through Ticken Tin.

For the last 20 years, through Ticken Tin, you, Acts 29, have lived out Genesis 26.18. What does that say?

Genesis 26, 18.

And Isaac dug again the wells of water that had been dug in the days of Abraham his father,

which the Philistines had stopped after the death of Abraham, and he gave them names that his father

had given them. And so God's intent is, you've kept coming back. You've kept coming back.

You've kept coming back to my blueprints. You kept coming back to my blueprints,

renaming things as I have named them.

As I have named them.

Digging up ancient wells,

opening ancient gates,

ascending the hill of the Lord. That's one of the reasons the Lord said that he wants to work with us, because

consistently over the last 20 years as a church, we haven't sought anything else, man.

The only desire we've had is, oh God, you show us a blueprint, we'll obey it.

Show us what to do. And we may mess up. We may really make blunders.

But at the end of the day, it's the only thing we've desired. We haven't desired numbers. We

haven't desired anything but this simple thing. And that's one of the reasons. Why us? Because

for the last 20 years, through thick and thin, you Acts 29 have lived out Genesis 26.18. I go

tell you to dig somewhere, you'll go dig somewhere. I go tell you to climb a mountain,

you'll go climb a mountain. I go tell you to open a door, you'll open a door. Whether you have the

money for it, whether you have the people for it, whether you have the skill for it, whether you have

the knowledge for it, you're too dumb. You'll do what I ask you to. And he's thrilled with that.

You don't know how flexible you are as a church.

Someone asked me, so when is your service? I said 345. They said it wasn't at 615.

I said that was last year. But wasn't it 1030? No, that was two years ago.

Caleb doesn't know where we meet every time he comes.

So this is one of the reasons. And bless you for that. No one man can do it. No two men can do it.

No leaders can do it. It's an entire church that God picks. He always works with the people. He

never likes working with solos. He works with the people.

Take it as a path on your back from him.

Every one of you, it's like that song, So Will I. Every one of you, precious,

picked for a time such as this, for an appointed time such as this, precious, picked.

And the other reason, this is the first reason. There are only two reasons he gave me.

The second reason is, I love this. Your young people are free.

Your young people are free and have learned

to run after the things of the kingdom

because they trust

my goodness to take care, to take care of the things of life.

I love this reason. Your young people are free, as in the young that are in the church,

and by that I mean the 20s, 30s, 40s. Dilna, you missed it by this much.

So the young in the church, the 20s, the 30s, and the 40s, have learned to run after

the things of the kingdom because they trust my goodness to take care of the things of life.

It's understandable if the grown-ups think like that because they've had more time to learn the

Lord. But as young ones, instead of running after career, instead of running after time,

treasure, talent, you've decided to run after this,

knowing that the goodness of God will take care of the rest.

I don't mean to pick on people to elevate them or make them special, but I remember guys like

Jeevan, like Derek, like Jillian, like Dawn, these guys had job offers. I remember May,

job offers in places, but they would not leave because they knew that it would be better to be

without a job for six months than to go and get a job and miss out on something.

That is silly. You've just come out of UBC. You've got a debt. You don't even have money.

Can I share that? I mean, Ann and Kamal, Kamal got baptized. Kamal and Ann decided to throw

a baptism lunch at May 17th. Derek is so broke that he's not going to be able to eat anything.

Derek is so broke that he does not have money to take a bus from May and May 17th. I don't know why

he didn't ask me, but he walked, which meant he ate a lot because he was really hungry after that.

But the point is he could have easily gotten a job after UBC. There was a job waiting for him.

She could have gotten a job in Edmonton. Dawn lived off his brother for 18 or 19 months.

Dawn could have gotten a job, but these guys refused to. May had a decent job and she throws

it away because she feels the Lord asking her to go somewhere else. I can tell you story after

story. There are others here, but the point is this, guys. Somehow the young in this church

have learned how to pursue the kingdom because they know that God will take care out of his goodness

for the other things of life. Well done. This is impossible without you.

Tomorrow I might find fault with you, but today, oh my God, you guys are the best.

These were the two reasons that God supplied and I wanted you to know.

What will this look like? I'll just take one point and won't do the others today. What will this look like?

He won't, he won't, he won't. What will this look like?

Give me clean hands, give me pure heart, let me not lift my soul to another.

That's one main thing, guys. Clean hands and a pure heart here. We'll deal with the rest later.

Clean hands, pure heart. Don't give up on that, eh, church? It's critical because God is holy,

right? And he's saying, I'm coming. What did he start with? I'm sending a purifying fire. Let it

first fall on us, right? Clean hands, pure heart. It's critical for this, eh? It's one of the few

ways we can quench this. And so even though it is bloody and painful, the circumcision of heart

and the issues of the flesh is important. Clean hands, pure heart. We won't go through the other

five or six points that are there, but this, don't let go of it. This you hold on to like crazy.

This you hold on to even if your leaders mess up. You hold on to it because this is not a leader

thing. It is a church thing. You hold on to it that, oh God, I would like to be like this.

Purify my heart. Let me be as gold.

Listen to this. Some of you have heard it read before.

In 1949, the spirit of grace and supplication fell upon a congregation in the village of Arnold.

Can you put up the picture of the village that I sent you, Brandon? Is it possible?

Ah, still a small village. I titled this message Hebrides 2.0-Awakening.

This is the village. It's still pretty small. There's another village next to it called

Barners, which is just down. You can see it in the distance. And the rainbow just

happened to appear that day. In 1949, the spirit of grace and supplication fell upon a congregation

in the village of Arnold on the Isle of Lewis in the Scottish Hebrides. They prayed for revival.

Will you not revive us again that your people may rejoice in you? Will you not revive us again

that your people may rejoice in you? Show us your mercy, Lord, and grant us your salvation.

That was from Psalm 85, verse 6 and 7. They kept praying it. One night, like this,

they crowded into the home of the blacksmith, a smith whose name happened to be Smith.

But the spiritual atmosphere was dry. A sense of deadness prevailed as one after another

tried to break through in prayer. Duncan Campbell, a visiting evangelist, called on Mr. Smith to pray.

So when we went there, we met Mr. Smith's son. He's now 60-something, and he remembers

how his father talked about this. He was very young then, but we met his son. I have a picture

of his son. A sense of deadness prevailed as one after another tried to break through in prayer.

Duncan Campbell, a visiting evangelist, called on Mr. Smith to pray. The prayer was short and sharp.

Oh, God, you made a promise. That's why the promise is so critical, eh? Oh, God, you made a promise

to pour water upon him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground. And then listen to this line.

It's so honest. And, Lord, it's not happening. That's what he prays. And, Lord, it's not happening.

He paused and then continued in a rising voice. Lord, I do not know how Mr. Campbell or these

other men standing with you are. I do not know them. But if I know my own heart, I know that I am thirsty.

You have promised to pour water on him who is thirsty. If you don't do it, how can I ever

believe you again? Your honor is at stake. You are a covenant-keeping God. Fulfill your covenant

engagement. That's what this young kid prays. It seems demanding.

At that instant, the granite house shook like a leaf and a power was unleashed that swept the

entire parish. Campbell said, I could only stand in silence as wave after wave of divine power

swept through the house. And in a matter of minutes, following this heaven-sent visitation,

men and women were on their faces in distress of soul. He stepped outside and discovered that the

whole village was astir. Though it was 11 o'clock at night, people with lanterns and flashlights

were making their way along the roads and across the fields towards the meeting place

as if summoned by a silent bell.

Why is it that we should have the privilege of seeing Hebrides 2.0

release through our lives and from this place? Why?

Why should it happen again? Why should we get a ringside seat?

Why should we get into the ring with him?

I do not understand it.

This is what awaits us guys. It's just too marvelous.

It'll be opposed, but so what? When you have something so marvelous, what's a little opposition?

I think it's a little bit of a

question.

Second Kings 2.14.

Elijah's gone. There's a mantle that has fallen and it's lying on the floor. It's the mantle that

Elijah used to wear. And so, Elisha rolls it up and he strikes the water with his cloak.

That's what Second Kings 2.14 says. Elisha struck the waters with the cloak and said,

where is the Lord God of Elijah?

In the excerpt I just read, there was a man called Smith.

You always need at least one man who is shamelessly bold.

You need one man who is shamelessly bold.

Once that one man turns up, a covenant-keeping God will be true to his covenant engagements.

We need to be shamelessly bold. A covenant-keeping God, as in a God who makes a promise,

is a God who engages the promise here on earth.

But in the story, it was Smith. You need one man to be shamelessly bold.

For the last three years, I have been shamelessly bold about this.

And I keep striking the water saying, oh God, where is the God of Elijah?

And it will open. There have been others that have risen up to do the same.

Now is our time to be one man shamelessly bold. Not an individual I'm talking about. One man.

Go back to what I was asking Vivek.

Can you find time to wrestle and grasp it?

Can you begin to slowly live it? Even in little bits, begin to live it.

Once you begin to live it, can you begin to announce it?

As you announce, people get ignited and you get ignited.

And then you have the ability to carry calls from heaven.

To set a light one life at a time. Cities, villages, nations.

It will happen. I'm so glad you're part of it.
