The Crossover

Okay, guys, let's go. Today, as you can see in the picture, the title will be the crossover.

Yeah, the crossover. I asked Chad J.P.T. to create this image, and it came out pretty good.

I liked it. I was trying to find a picture that might explain what I wanted to share,

and I was trying to find on the internet, but couldn't. And then I asked Chad J.P.T.

and then this came up. So I was like, oh, I liked it.

So yeah, it's like God parting the Red Sea and Israelites crossing over, right?

So we're talking about the crossover. That's the sermon we will be talking about today.

So if you read the book of Exodus, there was a moment in their history where Israel stood between the Red Sea, right?

They were at the Red Sea moment where they couldn't go forward, and then they couldn't go backwards

because Pharaoh and his armies were chasing them, right? So they were kind of caught in between.

They couldn't move forward, nor could they go back. And it was in that place the Lord said,

He said, move forward. Yeah? March forward. And we all know the rest of the story.

But the crossover is a moment when God calls you. God calls you to leave the unfamiliar,

to leave the old patterns, to leave the old systems of operating, old securities,

old identities, and to step into the new. So that's a crossover, right?

Crossover is always God's invitation. It's like, come, come, right?

Crossover, crossover to my sight. Jesus calling Peter and said, come, walk on water.

It's always God's initiative, God's invitation for us to step into the new.

So crossover is never a denial of the past, but it is an invitation to be delivered from the past.

Yeah? So Red Sea is not just a path. It is not just a doorway, but it is an ending.

You know, it's the Red Sea moment where it was a doorway for the Israelites, right?

It was a passage. God opened and split the sea so that the Israelites can walk through.

So for God's people, it was a doorway for their breakthrough, whereas for the enemy, it was a trap.

But the Israelites thought that they were in trouble. Yeah?

The Israelites thought that we are doomed. The enemy is behind us. Here is the Red Sea.

We can't go anywhere. We are doomed.

But God leading the Israelites to the Red Sea was his plan.

And oftentimes when we are not paying attention, oftentimes God's way of leading us,

God's way of helping us learn and grow and walk sometimes can be so confusing in that sense.

Is this really from God or is this from the enemy? We may be confused at times.

And so it's important to pay attention to what God is saying, where God is leading,

because it is never a trap for you. It's a trap for the enemy.

But it's a doorway to your freedom. Yeah?

And so, you know, today I know some of us are standing at your own waters.

Some of us are standing at your own waters and habits that won't break,

strongholds that have ravaged your life for ages, some addictions that you were struggling to break,

some of the traditions that you have inherited knowingly and unknowingly,

and you're struggling to shake off from your own lives, from your own families.

Things that have set you as a prisoner, that has bounded you.

Today is the day of your crossover.

And I say that boldly. Today is the day of your crossover.

Not because of my teaching, but because the divine warrior is here.

The purifying fire is here.

We've been praying, we've been asking for this, and now we've got to change our posture.

And saying that it is here, it's for my taking.

And so today is the day of your crossover. Can you believe that?

He will set things right in your life. He will purify things in your life.

And you can expect this anytime, every time, because Hebrides 2.0 is here.

So like I said, the crossover is always God's initiative.

It's always God's initiative.

Sometimes He opens doors where we cannot see.

Sometimes we don't have the faith for it, but He still gives us this free will,

whether we will step out or not.

And oftentimes people are scared. They refuse.

They would rather prefer to be in slavery. Yeah?

And yet, the same waters that saved the Israelites judged Egypt.

And so this is what Christ does as well.

He doesn't just forgive you. He doesn't just redeem you.

But He ends, He breaks the tyranny of sin, of shame, of fear, of guilt.

He deals with those things as well. Right?

So on one hand, crossovers are an invitation to transition into something different.

And yet crossover is also a time when there is termination. Right?

Where God puts an end to something in your life.

So it matters. Crossover really matters.

Because it exposes the things of the past, not to shame you, not to condemn you.

Like I said, it's not a denial of the past, but it breaks you free from the past.

And we know that God is the God of seasons. God is the God of seasons.

And in God's kingdom, there are these defining moments where God initiates and invites you to come on board.

And as you say yes and come on board, the momentum shifts.

And then you are able to crossover.

And so today I want us to think about what would my crossover look like?

Yeah? You may be running well. That's great.

You may not be struggling with any addiction or any strongholds in your life. Fine.

But are you still going to stay the same?

There's more, even for those who are running well. Yeah?

And for those who are struggling to run consistently, this is for you as well.

It's for everybody, right? So the old may have served us well.

The old strategies, the old system, the old ways of operating may have brought us thus far.

And yet God is inviting us for more.

And so fresh invitation, right? Demands fresh strategies, fresh ways of operating, new obedience, new ways, new strategies, and a deeper surrender.

So in scripture, crossovers usually marks a radical shift in a person's life or in a tribe's life, right?

Where the old identity is now transformed into new, right?

And old mission is now transferred into a new mission, right?

And the old assignment is replaced by a new mantle and a new assignment that comes in, right?

So we will see this again and again. And I just want to highlight five crossovers.

There are so many in the scripture.

And yet I just want to highlight five crossovers in the Bible so that at least you get an idea about what crossover looks like.

Yeah? So the first one is the disciples crossover, where they crossover from nets to nations, right?

From nets to nations, yeah.

So the disciples were skilled fishermen.

They know how to catch fishes.

But the day and the moment when Jesus intervened in their fishing adventure, so to say,

He gives a new direction. He invites them for a new crossover.

You guys have been fishing, but now I want you to fish men.

It's an invitation to something they have never done before.

These guys are professional fishermen.

Jesus is inviting into something quite different.

Yeah? And it's an invitation to a crossover.

And you know what these guys did?

We all know they left their nets, their boats, and they followed Jesus.

Jesus didn't promise anything. Jesus didn't promise fame or riches or recognition or influence or authority or power.

Jesus didn't.

And yet these guys left their nets, their boats, they crossed over.

Yeah? The momentum has shifted.

So the old nets may have served them well because that's where they get their provision.

That is what their identity is about, their livelihood. Everything depends on fishing.

Now, after they said yes and crossed over to Jesus' invitation,

now Jesus is teaching them how to cast out demons, how to heal the sick, how to preach the gospel.

Miracles and signs and wonders became natural to these guys.

If they had refused to cross over, life would have been very predictable for these guys.

They'll be fishing. They'll catch some fishes.

There'll be days when they catch a lot of fish. There'll be days when they caught little.

But they would get married, settle in that region of Galilee.

Life would have been somehow predictable.

But the day in the moment they crossed over, what happened was they saw a lame man walk, blind see, deaf hear.

Yeah? Dead been raised.

It's extraordinary, guys.

That's the crossover Jesus invites you and I.

Something that is so natural, so ordinary that you are kind of like, is this life all about?

And Jesus now invites with the realities of heaven and say that this is what my kingdom is like.

And that's an invitation for you and for me.

So that's the first crossover we see in the Bible.

I know there's so much more.

The second one is Elisha's crossover from plowing to being a prophet.

From plow to being a prophet, right?

He was a farmer until Elijah, his master, met him.

He was plowing the field. He was a farmer.

And then Elijah goes and meets this guy and casts his mantle on him.

And now it's for Elisha to decide whether he'll respond to the invitation or not.

God will put an invitation and cast his mantle on you.

And it's another thing for you to respond or not.

Because there is free will involved in this, right?

And you know, the amazing thing that Elisha did was, what he did was so radical.

He went home, burned his plow, right?

Slaughtered the oxen, called a feast and gave the meat for people to eat and then followed.

He burned the old system of operating.

He burned things of the past. Why?

Because what lies ahead is much greater.

Yeah?

Sometimes guys, leaving behind the old is not good enough.

Sometimes we have to burn it so that we don't get back there again.

Yeah?

And I was sharing this story with one of our friends the other day,

but there was a friend of mine who wanted to give up alcohol.

And then there are bottles in his house.

He wouldn't clear it.

He would abstain from it.

But he didn't clear it out.

So one week later he would go back again.

Yeah? Abstaining isn't good enough.

Sometimes you have to burn it guys.

If you are to really cross over, leave yourselves no room for options.

It's important guys. Yeah?

So we all know the story.

Later on he crossed over Jordan.

He received a mantle, the double portion,

and we know what unfolded in the life of Elijah.

Amazing.

What God did with Elijah, God did twice with his servant Elijah.

Amazing story. Yeah?

So the old was honored.

The old was honored.

But he knows it cannot carry him forward.

A new mantle, a new mission, a new momentum requires things of the past to be burned.

Yeah?

The third crossover is Israel. Right?

So the first one that I mentioned is a group of guys. Right?

It's a bunch of people.

The disciples. The second one is personal. Right?

Elijah is personal.

The third one is a tribe.

The Israelites. Right?

The Israelis crossed over.

They crossed over from being in wilderness to the promised land.

So if you read that story, which we are all familiar with,

until they crossed Jordan.

You know how God provided?

Mana from heaven.

Right?

But the day they stepped into Jordan,

Mana stopped flowing.

Why?

The season has shifted.

Why?

There was a crossover that happened.

Right?

So now they don't need to rely on God to rain down Mana from heaven

because God had blessed the produce of the land.

So for the first time, Mana stopped flowing,

and they are able to eat the produce of the land.

God doesn't waste the old.

Yeah. God doesn't waste the old, but the new demands, new courage,

new strategies, new ways of operating. Right?

So it's important to understand this because

if we cling on to the old Mana,

we will miss out God's plentiful harvest that is from the land,

the produce of the land. Yeah?

And yes, both are God. Right?

Be it Mana from heaven or be it the produce of the land,

both are from God.

But pay attention if God switches channels.

God switches channels.

So that's the Israelites' crossover. Right?

And then the fourth one, Paul's crossover

from being a persecutor to being an apostle.

It was a beautiful crossover, so to say.

Paul was zealous for the law.

He was the one persecuting the church.

And yet, you know what happened?

On the road to Damascus, it was one single encounter

that was enough to completely ruin his life for good.

Yeah? Ruin his life for good.

Sometimes we need that, eh?

Sometimes God ruins our life for good.

We need that.

And you know, purifying fire,

purifying fire, divine warrior is here exactly for that.

He's here to ruin your life, to ruin your marriage,

to ruin your family, to ruin your business for good.

You can never be the same.

The same person who is trying to destroy the church

now builds the church, protects the church,

sacrifices for the church.

It's the same guy, guys. Yeah?

So whatever was my profit,

I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.

That's what Paul said, right?

So he left behind his status because he was a Pharisee.

He's an expert in the law.

He's a Hebrew of Hebrews.

Like, if you want, you know, status, recognition, degrees, fame,

Paul has it all.

And he abandons all of these things.

Why? Because of one single encounter

which ruined him for good, and he crossed over. Right?

So sometimes the very passion, the passion, the zeal,

that defines you.

God doesn't waste that zeal,

but he would redirect that zeal for his purpose.

So Paul is still zealous.

That passion, that fire is still in him.

And yet, God changed him, changed God as in God redirected

that passion, that fire.

And so he's no longer Saul.

He redirected his zeal, his passion,

and what we get is Paul.

But the fire that is in him remains.

God did not remove the zeal, the passion, the fire that was in Saul.

He redirected it.

Same thing can be said.

You may be passionate about music.

Yeah? Rock music was something that you love.

Yeah, heavy metals, you know, once upon a time.

And then God redeems it.

So you still have love and passion for music,

but now the music, the genre that you listen to,

the songs that you write, the songs that you compose

are completely different.

Yeah?

I cannot imagine now singing songs that doesn't glorify God.

I cannot.

But once upon a time, I loved metal music, rock music.

Yeah?

So I still love music and have passion for music.

And so God did not remove that zeal in my life,

but he had redirected it.

And same can be said of sports.

Same can be said of business, your entrepreneurial gifts.

Whatever your gifts, whatever your passions are,

God can redirect it and use it for good.

Yeah?

So don't think of zeal as evil,

but it's how you channel it.

That's the fourth one.

The fifth crossover.

Of course, Jesus himself, the greatest crossover.

Right?

Every crossover points to the greatest crossover of all,

and that is Jesus Christ.

As a young boy, Jesus grew in stature, in wisdom,

and in the favor of God and men.

Right?

So people knew that even at a very young age,

there's something different about this boy.

But he was not known for performing miracles.

He was not known for healing the sick.

He was not known for casting out demons.

Those things weren't visible or manifesting in Jesus' life.

But you know what happened?

What happened was at his baptism,

when Jesus came up out of the water,

the Holy Spirit descended on him like a dove,

and after that he was led into the wilderness by the Spirit,

and he returned in the power of the Spirit.

From that day onwards, Jesus was never the same.

Miracles begin to happen everywhere Jesus goes.

Why?

Because there was a crossover that happened at baptism.

The empowerment of the Spirit came upon him.

Yeah?

There was a crossover there.

There was one.

But the ultimate crossover was at the cross.

His ministry shifted from teaching, healing,

to becoming the Lamb of God.

It was a crossover from life to death and death to resurrection.

It was an ultimate crossover, guys.

This is why you and I cannot die anymore.

Death does not have the final say anymore.

Why?

Because somebody had crossed over for you and for me.

Crazy, eh?

That's the ultimate crossover, right?

He humbled himself to death, even death on the cross.

Beautiful.

God exalted him and gave him the name above every other name.

In the Philippians 2, 8 and 9, right?

So every true crossover requires dying.

It requires dying.

Something ends so that resurrection life can begin.

You cannot experience resurrection life without the cross.

You cannot.

I cannot.

You cannot see a crown without surrender.

So, like we just discussed, five crossovers here,

and there's so many more in the Bible.

But if crossover is critical for people like you and me, as God's people,

then how can I learn?

How can I participate in these kind of God-initiated crossovers, right?

I want to share a few ways, a few principles that we can learn

how to engage and participate in these God-initiated crossovers.

Yeah?

So, first one.

Remember and ruminate on God's word, God's promise, right?

Remember and ruminate, right?

God always speaks before he acts.

God speaks before he acts.

God said, let there be light, and there was light, right?

God said, he'll give the promised land, and we know how it unfolded.

When God speaks, nothing goes to the ground empty.

When he releases his word, it always accomplishes what it has been sent out for.

Right?

So, Jesus calls Peter and Andrew, follow me.

I will make you fishes of men, in Matthew 4.

The word itself created a possibility of a new reality.

The word itself, when God speaks, it invites you to a possibility of a new reality.

Yeah, hear me again.

When God speaks, right?

When God releases something in your life,

he invites you to a possibility of a new reality.

It's beautiful, guys. Yeah?

So, when God speaks, when God has a word for you,

it's always an invitation to experience something in his terms, in his ways.

And it's always good. Why?

Because he has a plan for you, he has a plan to prosper you,

he has a plan to give you hope and a future.

God knows the best for you.

So, it's important to remember these words that God had spoken over me,

over yourself, over this church.

It's important to remember. Why?

Because people often forget.

People don't ruminate over it, to chew, right?

To ruminate is to chew the cut, to think about it, to ponder, to contemplate, to meditate on it.

There is no crossover because of ignorance.

Many people don't experience crossover because of ignorance.

They forget what God had spoken.

And the enemy doesn't spare. Why?

Because it's his intent to distort your memory.

The Israelites would forget God's goodness.

They're eating supernatural provision from God, which is mana,

and on the other hand, they're complaining. Yeah?

The enemy will distort your memory and my memory.

So, it's important to go back to what God had said.

Words that God had spoken to you individually.

God had spoken to you through the body.

Because we have to understand.

And in order to really embrace that,

and in order to really allow the word of God and the promise of God to take deep roots,

repetition is required.

Having a glance or just skipping through is not enough.

The word has to become flesh, guys. Yeah?

So, first one. What are the words that have been spoken over your life?

What are the words that have been given to us as a body?

Remember those promises. Go back.

Write it on your wall. Ruminate on it.

Let these words come alive.

Speak. Declare. Repeat it. Right?

And say again, Lord, you said so.

You said so. Content for it. Right?

It's important, guys. Yeah?

And then the second one. Recognize God's kairos moment.

As in, recognize God's appointed time.

Recognize God's appointed time.

Not all times are the same, guys.

As in, like, not all times are the same.

As in, there are some times that are divinely appointed.

You know, I love in 1 Chronicles 12.

1 Chronicles 12, Chapter 12, Verse 32.

The sons of Issachar, they understood their times.

And they know what the Israelites are supposed to do.

Beautiful, eh? They know. They can read the times they're in.

When Israelites should go to war, when Israelites should plan, when Israelites should camp.

The things that Israelites are supposed to do, the sons of Issachar,

they know. They can read the signs of time.

Can you?

Jesus rebuked the Pharisees and the Sadducees in Matthew 16.

Now, I'll read two verses here.

You know, Jesus said to them,

When evening comes, you said, it will be fair weather, for the sky is red.

And in the morning, today it will be stormy, for the sky is red and overcast.

You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky.

But you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

Right?

The Sadducees and the Pharisees, they can predict the weather, depending on how the sky looks.

But they don't know how to read the signs of the times.

Can you?

Moses can.

When they were at the Red Sea moment, people were panicking.

The enemies in pursuit of them, the Red Sea in front of them, they're panicking.

They're saying, why did you bring us up here? We were better off in Egypt.

And you know what Moses said?

Because Moses knew the time that he was in at the moment.

He said, don't be afraid, guys.

The Lord has brought us here.

I am not paraphrasing here, but I am saying the Egyptians that were pursuing us, you will see them no more.

Today is the day.

You will see them no more.

And you know what?

Exactly that happened.

Beautiful, eh?

One will be at the mercy of our circumstances if we don't understand the times we're in.

What life brings, whatever it is, it will be.

Christians aren't supposed to live at the mercy of our circumstances.

We don't live by chance.

We live by luck.

We are to understand who God is, what God says, and so there should be direction.

Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

Even that phrase is enough.

Word is a lamp.

Lamp gives you a short vision, and a light gives path, which is a long vision.

Short vision, long vision.

It's beautiful, guys.

The principle is that recognizing this kairos moment, God's appointed time, is perceived spiritually.

It is perceived, discerned by the Spirit.

Because the Holy Spirit searches the deep things of God.

The Holy Spirit searches the mind of Christ, and He reveals it to you.

So without the Spirit, you cannot discern the signs of the times.

Yeah?

Do you see what God is doing?

Do you know what God is doing in our midst?

Acts 29 has been in a place where it has never been before.

If you are stuck with the things of the past of Acts 29 that we are known for of the past, you will miss out, guys.

We're not praying for Hebrides 2.0 anymore.

Things have shifted, guys.

A lot of things have shifted.

So do you know what God is doing in this house?

Right?

Are you able to understand the kairos moment that we are in right now?

If you don't, hang out with people who know.

Let them help you understand the times we are in.

Yeah?

Things are shifting, guys.

The third one.

How can we position ourselves, our ways for the crossover?

The third one is release the old.

Release the old.

To enter the new, I must let go of the old.

Old securities, old ways.

Yeah?

Old strategies.

Like I said, Elisha, he burned his plows.

He slaughtered his oxen.

The Israelites had stopped gathering manna the day when they entered the promised land.

You know, if you also read the story of Elijah, there was a time when the ravens were bringing food to him,

and he was able to drink from the brook.

And you know, it dried up.

Deliberate.

If Elijah had not understood, he would still stay there and asking why the brook had dried up.

And he would still be praying for ravens to bring him food.

But he understood it was God's deliberate move so that he can now switch his attention to the widow.

Beautiful, eh?

Don't be stuck to the past.

Release the old.

It may have served you well.

Let go, guys. Let go.

It's important, guys.

Old provision, old methods, old comfort.

It cannot sustain you in the new season.

What are the nets that you need to let go?

Like Peter and Andrew.

What are the plows that you need to burn?

Think in your own lives, eh?

Things that you need to let go.

Things that you need to release that you have been holding on to.

When I was thinking about this point, I was thinking of some of the words that were spoken over my life,

I was holding on, pricing them so much.

It's like my Isaac, and I'm not willing to lay it at the altar.

I know it has come from the Lord, but can I place it at the altar?

We have to release the old, guys.

Fourth one.

Can you receive the new assignment?

Can you receive the new assignment?

God will not call you out simply and let you be wandering.

God calls you out so that he can call you into something.

It's always like this, eh?

He doesn't randomly call people out, and then as people respond, they're unsure now.

That's not the nature of God.

So when he calls you out, he will call you into something.

God said to Jeremiah, before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.

I appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.

On one hand, God's initiative, and yet on the other hand, he will require your participation.

I love that about God.

His creation, like even the Garden of Eden, he could have put angels and make it automatic

so that there's nobody, no human required, right?

But he would partner with Adam and Eve, and he said,

you be the one who steward it.

You be the one who name things.

You be the one who rule on my behalf.

To have dominion, to rule, to govern, to steward.

Crazy.

God does things like that.

And so, as I was reading this story over and over again about this Red Sea moment,

when the people were at the Red Sea moment, and they were confused, they were scared,

and God did not say, don't worry about it, I'll part it, and then you go, right?

No. He said to Moses, why are you crying out to me?

Isn't that funny, eh?

Why are you crying out to me?

You said, you raise your staff, right?

You part the Red Sea.

Crazy, eh?

The God of the universe invites, initiates, empowers Moses to do it.

Crazy, eh?

Now, Moses, instead of crying out to God, now he raises his staff, right?

And then he stretched out his hand over the sea to divide the water.

And God did it, but how?

Through Moses.

Beautiful, eh?

Moses parted the Red Sea.

Yes.

With the help of God.

Stunningly beautiful, guys.

This is what God does.

God loves partnership, guys.

Partnership.

He loves to bring His plans and purposes.

God's never going to bring His own plans and purposes without you and I getting involved.

That's not the God we read in the Bible if He's not engaging you and I.

Yeah?

Even take another example.

The feeding of the 5,000.

Jesus could have fed 5,000.

You know, of all the people whom He chose, small boy.

A little boy who had five loaves and two fish.

Now, this little boy and Jesus now begins to partner.

Beautiful, eh?

Whatever he has, he brings it to Jesus.

Jesus now breaks it, multiplies it.

God does it in partnership with you and with me.

You may be ordinary.

Your skills may be ordinary.

There may be nothing flashy about you.

It doesn't matter.

Can you get in partnership with this divine warrior, purifying fire?

You will shake up the ground, man.

Open your hands to receive this new assignment.

It's on us, guys.

It's on us to carry this fire.

It's on you.

It's on me.

This is why God requires a greater consecration for you and for me.

Yeah?

We have to embrace this.

God is starting in this house.

Week after week, if you had seen, there's always this invitation

for greater consecration, a demand that he's placing on you and me.

Why?

Because purifying fire, it will burn you if you are not consecrating yourself.

You will not be able to hold it.

I will not be able to hold it.

Yeah?

The next one, ready yourself for immediate obedience.

Immediate obedience.

Crossovers require immediate obedience without excuses, guys.

You know, if you read Luke 9, one man said, Lord, I'll follow you.

But let me first say farewell to those at home.

And you know what Jesus said?

No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom.

And you know, another said, let me first bury my father.

And Jesus said, let the death bury the dead.

I love how Jesus gives us no room for options.

You and I cannot say later, Jesus.

Yeah?

Jesus didn't say, pray about it.

Or you know, if you decide, come back later after a year, no.

Delay and excuses will distort the momentum of the crossover.

Yeah?

Many pay a heavy price for this, guys.

A heavy price for not responding to God's invitation.

If we think that we are not ready today, don't think that you'll be ready tomorrow.

Because God knows your situation and he invites you.

Because if you say yes today, you're better off tomorrow.

If you say yes today, you are better off tomorrow.

You may not fully understand.

Say yes.

Yeah?

Satan loves to delay your yes.

Not today.

Not today.

You're not ready.

You're still living in sin.

Don't expose it yet.

Don't repent yet.

Hang in a little longer.

The enemy comes to kill, steal, destroy.

Kill, steal, destroy.

That pattern you'll see over and over again.

Right?

So readiness means embracing the new.

New disciplines, new ways, new structures of functioning to step into the new.

It's critical, guys.

Understanding is overrated, guys.

The world will say, prove it to me.

Show it to me.

Explain it to me.

And then I will believe.

Faith is not required in that context.

Because everything is proven, everything is laid out, everything is explained rationally.

It's like, yeah, it makes sense.

Okay, I believe.

There's no room for faith.

The world is like this.

Show it to me.

Make it believable.

And I'll consider joining your church.

I'll consider joining what God is saying, what God is doing.

God says on the op, God says, believe.

And you will see.

Salvation is like that.

Right?

Salvation is if you believe in Jesus Christ, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved.

Right?

Jesus invites you to believe him first.

And then you will be saved.

That means you and I are supposed to exercise our faith.

Right?

The disciples believed Jesus, so they left their nets, their boats, and they followed.

They had this crossover.

And you know what?

They saw.

Beautiful, eh?

Next one.

Rely on the rush of the Spirit.

Rely on the rush of the Spirit.

I deliberately mentioned rush.

Rely on the rush of the Spirit.

Because the Spirit is always present.

Yeah?

The Spirit is always present.

But there are moments when comes the rushing wind of the Spirit.

For a specific time, for a specific purpose.

Right?

So in our worship, presence is here.

God is here.

But there will be times when God comes as a rushing wind and he wants to heal.

Or he has something to do in our midst.

Right?

Or say when you are meeting somebody and you are asking the Lord what you are supposed to speak into this person's life.

And then suddenly the Spirit deposits something and you know, you can catch from the Spirit that this word is for this person.

Right?

There is this specific time and specific moments when the rush of the Spirit comes.

And so I am saying, I am not denying the importance of the Spirit being present all the time.

But catch these moments as well.

There are times when there is this rush of the Spirit and it is amazing.

Things that can take years.

It is done.

And I have had these kind of few experiences and it just blows away my mind.

The disciples were asked not to leave Jerusalem.

So they were waiting for the promise of Jesus.

And then came the Holy Spirit in Acts 2.

Right?

Came the rush of the Spirit.

Tons of fire that fall on each person's head.

They were never the same.

Never the same.

Yeah?

So I pray that, I know we are believing, like we believe in the work of the Spirit, we believe in the move of the Spirit.

But pay attention.

Because these are moments you and I can easily miss.

I love how, I don't know where is it exactly.

I cannot find it here.

But anyway, I can't find it here.

But there was this time when Jesus was there.

Jesus was teaching.

And then there was the power of the Spirit that was there to heal.

Yeah?

Jesus is a healer.

Jesus heals.

He does healing.

But there was this specific time when the power of God was with him to heal.

Recognize those times.

There will be specific times when the Lord wants to do certain things.

Like how, I love how Jilin started us.

That the Lord wants us to start with forgiving, right?

You know, forgiveness.

Such kind of thing.

If you are able to catch the things from the Spirit at that particular moment and at that particular time.

It does wonders, guys.

Yeah?

Last one.

Rejoice in the crossover assignment.

Rejoice in the crossover assignment.

Do not participate grudgingly, guys.

Israel would do grudgingly.

They were feeding on mana, which is extraordinary.

They were not planting.

They were not pruning.

They were not farming.

And yet, they are getting this supernatural provision.

On one hand, it's supernatural.

On the other hand, they're complaining.

Complaining and ingratitude, it was never a small issue in the Bible.

And today, I hope that complaining, being ungrateful, I hope that these kind of negativity, the Lord puts an end to it today.

It's not a small issue in the Bible, guys.

Yeah?

You know, I put this quote, yeah, I'm just going to read it out.

It was on my Instagram.

But I'm just going to read it.

I thought it's pretty good.

Yeah?

Ingratitude, or say complain, is not a small issue.

It distorts our memory of God's goodness.

It distorts our memory of God's goodness.

It reflects a heart that is no longer centered on God's faithfulness.

Right?

When you're ungrateful, when there's an ingratitude.

And then the next line goes like this.

It invites worldliness by focusing on what I don't have rather than on who God is.

And if we are ungrateful for getting to glorify and thank him, we start to envy Egypt again.

The very place, longing for God, longing for what God had already saved us from.

We begin to long for the very place of captivity.

That's what ingratitude does, guys.

It distorts your memory.

Say, for example, you've been experiencing God's provision.

You've been experiencing God's healing.

You've been experiencing God's favor all these years.

And then yesterday, something didn't turn out the way you wanted.

Now you begin to complain.

It just distorts the entire history of what God has been doing in your life.

It is not a small issue, guys.

Participate. Rejoice in the crossover assignment.

Yeah?

Joy should be the string for our mission.

This is something that God has been doing, and we should participate with joy.

Rejoicing in this.

Fixing our eyes on the one leading us, not on our obstacles.

Instead of fixing our eyes on the God who is much bigger than our problems,

we often focus on our problems.

Rather than focusing on someone who can fix our problems.

Yeah?

There are two different things, guys.

When we are invited to participate in this, God wants us to do this cheerfully.

God loves a cheerful giver.

That's what we read in 2 Corinthians 9, right?

7. God loves a cheerful giver.

This is not just giving about money.

Giving your time.

Giving your service.

Giving your wisdom.

Giving your money.

Giving your time.

Giving yourself for the benefit of others.

Can you do this joyfully?

Yeah?

Can I ask the sound guys, the music team to come up?

So just a quick recap of all the points that we've been discussing.

These are the 7 Rs, so to say.

If we are to step into the crossover.

And I hope that we remember these principles.

If we can remember what God had said, what God had spoken.

If we can ruminate over these words, these promises spoken.

And if we can recognize the Kairos moment that God is doing.

And if we can let go of the old and say,

when you see this Kairos moment, release the old things.

And then latch on to what God is saying, what God is doing.

And then can you embrace this as a new assignment?

And then, instead of delaying, say later, can I say yes immediately?

And then, can I begin to pay attention to the rush of the spirit?

Yeah?

And then, I do this joyfully.

Because it's going to impact my life, it's going to impact everybody.

Yeah?

So shall we all rise?

And then I want us to close our eyes as we ponder on what we just shared today.

Church, hear the word of the Lord.

Today is a day of your crossover.

Step out of your slavery.

Break every agreement, every chain that had shaped your yesterday.

Burn the old religious baggages, historical junks, patterns that had kept you small.

Expose it.

Present it to the divine warrior who is here.

Like Jacob at Peniel, wrestle with God until he renames you today.

Then walk forward with a new identity.

Close every exit and every option to go back.

As Elisha would set on fire his plow and slaughter his oxen, no return.

Only forward with God.

Can you do the same?

Receive this mental purifying fire that God has released upon us.

Can you take this?

Can you receive it with clean hands and a pure heart?

Can you run with these guys?

What had rested on Elijah did not die with him.

It fell on Elisha.

And now it begins to rest on generations that followed.

Can this fire not die with you?

But can this fire be passed on to your friends, to your neighbors, to people around you?

Do not cling to manna when God is calling you to a harvest.

When manna ceases, maturity begins.

Sow, reap and steward the land of promise.

Stand in faith, guys.

Stand at the waters.

The Lord who parted the Red Sea is still the same God.

And you will walk today.

You will walk today and cross over.

The Lord will drown your enemy.

The Lord will drown your fears.

The Lord will drown your strongholds.

Consecrate yourselves today, guys.

Consecrate yourselves.

Joshua said, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.

The wonders of God is here.

Set your heart apart.

Your habits, your calendars, your relationship.

Lay every idol that you hold on the altar.

Severe every tie that cannot enter Canaan with you.

Take the next step with immediate obedience, guys.

Do not delay this, guys.

This inheritance is for the taking.

So, Abba, we remember, we remember, we remember this crossover that you are inviting us today.

And we say, yes, Abba, yes.

Today is our crossover day, Father.

So we embrace this, Abba, with joy.

And we say, yes.
