  1. Welcome to this week's message from the Church of Chelsea Westover.

  2. Our core values are vibrant worship, intimate fellowship, fulfilling service, and clear biblical truth.

  3. We pray that this message changes your life.

  4. Let's tune in to today's message and see what God has in store for you.

  5. Turn with me in your Bibles to James chapter 4.

    James 4 chapter mention

  6. We've been looking at last week, we started, we started chapter 4 with the conflict in the church.

  7. And we all said there's no conflict in the church, and then everybody laughed.

  8. Because we know there is conflict.

  9. There's conflict in your homes, there's conflict all around us.

  10. There's conflict in America, there's conflict all over the world.

  11. And we dealt with that.

  12. And if you missed last week, please go online and see that unbelievable truth that we learned.

  13. But today I want us to look at and watch at how the transition goes.

  14. Chapter 4 begins with the war with God, and then chapter 4 ends with us what?

  15. Walking in the will of God.

  16. And that is a beautiful contrast.

  17. And as God was teaching me, I thought to myself, is that not beautiful?

  18. Is that not unbelievable?

  19. Because when you and I are warring and we're in conflict with God and other people, we're definitely out of the will of God.

  20. Because it's God's will for us to have a right relationship with Him and a right relationship with others.

  21. Amen?

  22. Now, if you're here this morning, you do not have a worship guide.

  23. Raise your hand.

  24. I want to make sure because I'm going to be going pretty quickly this morning.

  25. But we don't get in a hurry around here.

  26. Here's why.

  27. One, we don't come back on Sunday night, so we want to make sure we get everything on Sunday morning.

  28. Can I get an amen?

  29. And not only that, I figured out how I could preach 45 to 50 minutes and get away with it.

  30. I feed you.

  31. So you're going to have the best meal here in a minute.

  32. It's going to be chicken.

  33. It's going to be.

  34. What am I having?

  35. Pull pork.

  36. I saw some chicken wings back there.

  37. Oh, okay.

  38. Chicken and pull pork.

  39. All right, man, nothing saved you.

  40. I thought I saw chicken wings.

  41. Fourth of July.

  42. Chicken and pull pork.

  43. All right.

  44. We're going to have a ball.

  45. So, but first of all, I'm going to feed you spiritually.

  46. And boy, this is going to be good because I'm telling you, if you understand the truths that are taught today, and you understand how to walk in the will of God for your life, you're going to experience a life like you've never, ever expected or experienced forever.

  47. I guarantee it.

  48. Now, what happens with most of us, we do partially the will of God and partially our own will.

  49. Can I get a know me?

  50. And that's why we don't ever experience the fullness of what God has for us or the completeness of what God has for us because we do it our way instead of God's way.

  51. And when we do it our way, there's conflict.

  52. Somebody asked me the other day, I have so much conflict in my life.

  53. I said, I know why.

  54. He looked at me and said, How do you know that?

  55. I said, Because I know the book and I know what the book said, and I just preached on it.

  56. He said, Okay, why do I have so much problems in my life?

  57. I said, How about why do you have so many conflicts in your life?

  58. He said, Yeah, that's a better word.

  59. I said, Because you're out of the will of God.

  60. Because when you get in the will of God, even though you have conflicts, God's with you through those conflicts, and you just saw it, you don't realize what Geraldine's going through.

  61. I know what she's going through.

  62. I've been there, I'm with her, we're seeing it.

  63. I meant this, but the joy was there.

  64. Why?

  65. Because the joy of the Lord is our strength.

  66. Nehemiah chapter 8, verse 10.

    Nehemiah 8:10

  67. But when you're going through problems and conflicts and trials and tribulations in your own life without God doing it your way, you're in trouble.

  68. So today, we want to see how the conflict can be turned in to comfort by doing the will of God.

  69. When a believer is out of the will of God, he becomes, you know what it, you know what I thought about in the context of this scripture?

  70. When you and I as believers are out of the will of God, you know what we are?

  71. Troublemakers.

  72. Hello?

  73. We're troublemakers.

  74. Say this: I'm a troublemaker.

  75. You are a troublemaker when you have the will of God.

  76. I am a troublemaker when I'm out of the will of God.

  77. And it's so obvious.

  78. How do you know?

  79. Lot, remember Lot?

  80. Lot brought trouble to his family by moving into Sodom.

  81. What about David?

  82. David brought what?

  83. Problems and conflict to his family by having adultery with Bathsheba.

  84. And then, hey, what about Jonah?

  85. He disobeyed God and about sink the ship.

  86. About took the whole ship down with him.

  87. So when you and I are out of the will of God, we bring trouble into our lives and all those that we influence.

  88. Hello.

  89. That's right.

  90. That's true.

  91. And it's so sad.

  92. In each of these cases, the reason Lot had the problem, David had the problem, Jonah had the problem, they had the wrong attitude toward God.

  93. And that's what brings us into major problems.

  94. In fact, too many Christians look upon the will of God as a, I was thinking about this, a bitter medicine instead of a good medicine.

  95. They feel like God, you know why a lot of people are afraid to give everything of Romans 12, 1 and 2, to God?

  96. They're afraid God's gonna make them do something they don't want to do.

  97. Like go to Africa.

  98. Ben says, Hallelujah! Where's Ben?

  99. Hallelujah.

  100. You know?

  101. Or go here or do that.

  102. Let me ask something.

  103. Who made you?

  104. Who created you?

  105. Who knows you better than anyone else?

  106. God says you're fearfully and wonderfully made.

  107. Amen.

  108. Marvelous are his works.

  109. God doesn't make junk.

  110. Now he's come close to some of us, but God doesn't make junk.

  111. So don't you know he knows what's best for you?

  112. You think God's gonna send you somewhere, ask you to do something that doesn't fit who you are?

  113. Absolutely not.

  114. He's got something fantastic for you if you obey him.

  115. And he knows what you're best at, even better than you.

  116. So it's good medicine to submit to the will of God, not bad medicine.

  117. I want to leave three things today.

  118. Realizing the will of God comes from the heart of God.

  119. And in this section, James points out three attitudes toward the will of God.

  120. Number one, fill it in.

  121. Ignoring the will of God.

  122. Ignoring the will of God.

  123. In Bible times, we see that a lot of wealthy merchants decided what they would do, how they would do it, when they would do it, and they had one goal.

  124. It was greed and covetousness.

  125. It was making money.

  126. And they showed their power and their prestige by how much money they had, how much things they owned.

  127. It was a a thermometer for how wealthy and how how you know powerful they thought they were.

  128. And they had their plans.

  129. In fact, look at verse 13.

  130. This is awesome.

  131. Verse 13, we see it.

  132. And it says, Go now, these merchants say, go to now, ye that say today or tomorrow, we will go into such a city and continue there a year and buy and sell and get gain.

  133. Their whole purpose was to get gain.

  134. Now look at verse 14.

  135. And then in verse 14, whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow.

  136. For what is your life?

  137. Even a vapor that appeareth for a little time, then vanishes away.

  138. Verse 15, for that ye ought to say, if the Lord will, we shall live and do this or that.

  139. But now ye rejoice in your boastings, all such rejoicing is evil.

  140. Therefore, to him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

  141. Those verses right there, those powerful last paragraphs of chapter 4 are unbelievable in relationship and attitudes toward the will of God.

  142. He tells us exactly what we ought to have.

  143. In fact, what he says, it's not about your attitude, what you're gonna do, when you're gonna do it, how you're gonna do it, but it's about God's will doing through you.

  144. You asking God, is this what you want me to do?

  145. Not what I want to do.

  146. Powerful insight right there, ignoring the will of God.

  147. We're not, my granddaddy used to say this, you ever heard this?

  148. Don't count your chickens before the hatch.

  149. Don't count your chickens before the hatch.

  150. But that's what these business merchants were doing.

  151. They were saying, Well, we're gonna do this.

  152. They were saying, when they're gonna go, how they're gonna go, what they're gonna do, when they're gonna go, what they're gonna do, how much of a profit they're gonna get.

  153. I mean, they had it all, and by the way, there's nothing wrong with planning.

  154. In fact, my granddaddy used to say there are many slips between the cup and the lips.

  155. Is that not true?

  156. So, let's look at things under ignoring the will of God.

  157. I want you to see four arguments.

  158. Number one, why is it that you ought to say, God's will be done in my life instead of your will?

  159. Number one.

  160. Here it is: the complexity of life.

  161. The complexity of life.

  162. What does that mean?

  163. Look at verse 13.

  164. Go to now, ye that say today or tomorrow, we will go into a city and continue there a year and buy and sell and get gain.

  165. Now, I want you to notice something about the three words.

  166. Go to now.

  167. It is literally translated.

  168. Listen up.

  169. Listen up.

  170. Get this.

  171. Don't miss what James is about to teach us.

  172. That's what he's saying.

  173. It is a pointed call to attention that indicates a seriousness that's about to be taught to you and me.

  174. This is very serious business.

  175. It's crucial decisions are to me made.

  176. And that's what he's talking about.

  177. He says, okay, you got some crucial decisions to make.

  178. In other words, you're thinking buying, selling, gaining, losing, coming and going.

  179. James is trying to get their attention to those that lead the Lord out of what they do.

  180. He's saying you're planning all you're doing for your whole life, and you haven't mentioned anything about the Lord.

  181. He said, Don't you understand you're missing the whole concept?

  182. Don't you understand the reason you're having conflict?

  183. You're leaving God out of your life?

  184. The reason you've just had bankruptcy, you're leaving God out of your life, or maybe on the other side, you're rich, but you're still miserable.

  185. You're leaving God out of your life.

  186. You're leaving him out of your life.

  187. Apart from God's will, life is a mystery to many people.

  188. It really is.

  189. Many people wonder, why am I here?

  190. You ever thought about that?

  191. Why am I here?

  192. What's my purpose in life?

  193. I mean, I used to think about that in my early teens all the time.

  194. What am I really here for?

  195. What am I supposed to be doing?

  196. Now I'm a choleric sanguine.

  197. That means I'm driven and love people.

  198. I like to party and I'm driven.

  199. But I like to party as long as we're going somewhere.

  200. I don't like to sit around and do nothing.

  201. Every once in a while I do, if I'm at a car show.

  202. I like that.

  203. But but but I'm very driven.

  204. But here's what he's trying to say.

  205. Apart from God, what is the purpose in your life?

  206. Jesus said, My meet is to do the will of him that sent me to finish his work.

  207. Your will, my will for our lives, is to do the work that God's called us to do.

  208. And a lot of times, many of us, even sitting here today watching online, we really don't know what God's called us to do because we're allowing ourselves to control our destiny instead of God.

  209. And so here's what he's saying.

  210. He's saying, Galatians 2.20 explains it very well.

  211. I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live.

  212. Yet not I, for Christ liveth in me, and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved himself and gave himself for me.

  213. So we see the goal of those mentioned right here is to make money.

  214. Look at what they said.

  215. Get gain.

  216. The Greek word there is kardas, which means the love of making money.

  217. Now there's nothing wrong with money.

  218. It's the love of money that's the problem.

  219. Can I get an amen?

  220. Hey?

  221. I like money.

  222. For me to sit here and tell you I don't like money, I'd be lying.

  223. Anybody here don't like money?

  224. Because if you say you don't, then you're gonna give it all right now, right here.

  225. Because if you don't like your money, I know what God can do with it.

  226. Bring it to the altar.

  227. We all like money.

  228. There's nothing wrong with money.

  229. But the in 1 Timothy 6, and you've got to read this, verses 6 through 12, he says, the problem with money is the love of money, and because you seek all these things, all you desire to have, nothing but money and things, it literally, Jesus said in Mark 4, it chokes the word of God, it chokes the word of God, and the deceitfulness things chokes the word of God, and you and I become unprofitable.

  230. You'll never, what does that mean?

  231. You'll never find what the will of God is for your life.

  232. Because you're chasing the world's fantasies.

  233. And boy, is Satan not a master at hanging the commercials out there for us.

  234. So that's what he's talking about.

  235. In fact, those folks, the he said right here, these folks here, the merchants, were experts in greed.

  236. The Lord was not a part of their lives at all.

  237. God was not included in their business.

  238. One thing I love about godly Christian businessmen, and David Wilson's a good example of that, and many of you others are good examples of that.

  239. Hey, you give back to what God, you know why, you know why this SERPRO has been one of the best SERPROS in the whole nation for 30 years.

  240. Not just a few years.

  241. I'm talking about 30 years.

  242. They've been in the top 10 surpros out of 1,600 or 1,700, which is number one fire and water damage restoration companies in the United States for over 20 plus years.

  243. You don't do that by accident.

  244. And everybody asks David, they say, Well, why?

  245. Oh, they say, How did you do this?

  246. And he'll tell them, and then they'll say, Yeah, but you know what he tells them first?

  247. It's God.

  248. It's not my business, it's God's business.

  249. They say, Okay, that's good.

  250. Now what else?

  251. Whoa, they missed it.

  252. That's what it is.

  253. It's all God's.

  254. It's not his.

  255. He's a steward.

  256. By what you listen, what you got is not yours.

  257. If you're a Christian, it's God's.

  258. And by the way, if you really believe that and live that, and if something happens of whatever you got, you won't be so heartbroken.

  259. That's right.

  260. If God wants to take it, he can take it.

  261. It's not mine.

  262. I'm just a steward.

  263. You know what I learned?

  264. It took me a long time.

  265. Well, if God takes something I really like and I and I'm doing it right, I'm not lusting after it, I'm not hoarding it and all that, you know what I've learned?

  266. Then God's got something better that he's gonna replace it with.

  267. It may not be the same, it may, and by the way, it's never the same, it's always better.

  268. If your heart's right, I tell kids all the time when they're dating, you puppy, and they call it puppy love.

  269. You remember those days?

  270. Hello.

  271. Yeah, they know.

  272. That first love, those first, oh, and they get heartbroken.

  273. I had girls.

  274. I know, I know, I know, I know, I know.

  275. Listen, listen.

  276. They don't have a clue.

  277. But the little hearts are broken.

  278. You know what I tell them?

  279. I said, if you'll live for God, put you, let God be your boyfriend, let God be the love of your life.

  280. You'll experience ten times better what that creep can give you.

  281. Amen.

  282. I didn't mean to say creep, that guy.

  283. But but when you're when you're daddy and that's your young girl, they're creeps.

  284. But anyway, now they get married, their son-in-law, they're okay.

  285. They're passing the test.

  286. But but but what I'm telling you is, folks, it's all about God.

  287. You put God, hey, he's gonna replace it better.

  288. The only way you're gonna lose if you decide to try to do it your way, you're gonna get worse.

  289. Not better.

  290. That wasn't even in the outline.

  291. You needed to hear that.

  292. Look at 2 Peter 2.4.

  293. Look at 2 Peter 2.14.

  294. I hear it's where these guys were.

  295. Their eyes were full of adultery.

  296. They can't cease from sin.

  297. I said, is this not America?

  298. All they're thinking about is sex, sex, sex, and all it's just we've gone sex crazy, and that cannot cease from sin.

  299. They can't keep from sin, and it's before them they want it.

  300. Beguiling unstable souls, they're leading people astray into the wrong paths, and heart they have exercised with covetous practice.

  301. In other words, it's all about them instead of him.

  302. It's all they want, the lust of the flesh.

  303. It's all they want.

  304. And we're all guilty.

  305. I want you to remember something.

  306. There's nothing wrong in having a business or making a living, or just don't leave God out of your life and forget about him.

  307. Amen.

  308. Don't forget that he is the one who has blessed your, hey, and met your needs.

  309. Look, look, Deuteronomy.

  310. I'm not going to take time to read those verses, but they're in your outline.

  311. Deuteronomy 8, 11 through 14.

  312. Deuteronomy 8, 17 through 19 basically says, but thou do not forget God, for it is he that has given thee power to get wealth.

  313. It's God, you honor God, you keep God in fur in front of you, you walk with God, and he'll open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing.

  314. But if you reject him and you go your way, you're headed for destruction.

  315. That's what those verses, those are powerful verses.

  316. They're unbelievable.

  317. When we're looking at the complexity of life, ladies and gentlemen, what he is basically saying here, you and I have one life to live.

  318. And all that we do should count for Christ.

  319. That's all that matters.

  320. That's all that matters.

  321. Now I want you to see the second thing.

  322. I want you to see what the other attitude here.

  323. And boy, is it not one?

  324. Well, really, actually, the arguments.

  325. This is argument number two under the first attitude of ignoring the will of God.

  326. Number two is the contingency of life.

  327. Look at verse 14 again.

  328. Whereas you know not what shall be on the morrow.

  329. Now, this verse is based on Proverbs 27:1.

    Proverbs 27:1

  330. And here's what it says Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

  331. Life is uncertain, life is unpredictable, and life is contingent.

  332. There is basically a big veil over tomorrow.

  333. You and I don't have a clue what's going to happen tomorrow.

  334. No.

  335. Geraldine woke up and her husband was about to go to be with the Lord.

  336. Rosemarie that day.

  337. Ival almost went to be with the Lord.

  338. Hey, you don't know.

  339. Folks, you don't have a clue.

  340. Now, does that mean we go up on the mountain and just say, okay, God, I'm just waiting for you to come back?

  341. No.

  342. We are to plan, but the plans ought to be God's plans.

  343. Can you tell me you understand that, church?

  344. It's not our plans, it's God's plans.

  345. And this is so exciting when we look at the scriptures and how it opens up.

  346. In fact, life, James describes men who were making plans for the entire year.

  347. Not one thing indicates what God wanted in their lives.

  348. You remember the rich man in Luke 12?

  349. I want you to see something.

  350. I want to go there.

  351. Jason, go to Luke 12.

  352. I think it's there.

  353. It may not be.

  354. Yeah, it's there.

  355. Look at Luke 12, verses 16 through 21.

    Luke 12:16–21

  356. You remember the story?

  357. The rich farmer in Luke 12, 16 through 21.

  358. Here, hey.

  359. And he spake a parable saying to them, The ground of a certain rich man.

  360. In fact, let me.

  361. I want you to see that.

  362. I could quote it, but I want you to see that.

  363. It is so good.

  364. I want you to, and I'm going to point out some things to you.

  365. Alright, watch this.

  366. Verse 16, chapter 12.

  367. And the parable.

  368. He spake a parable, Jesus unto them, saying, There are ground of a hey, certain rich man brought forth plentiful.

  369. He was being blessed.

  370. And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do?

  371. Because I have no room where to bestow my fruit.

  372. Oh my.

  373. He had no room.

  374. He wasn't giving, he was hoarding.

  375. Hello, hello.

  376. He wasn't giving, he was hoarding.

  377. He didn't know the scriptures, it's more blessed to give than it is to receive.

  378. He wasn't using his money for the things of God or to help people.

  379. He was hoarding them.

  380. Look at verse 18.

  381. And he said, This will, now watch the eyes and the mys.

  382. And this he said.

  383. And he said, This will I do.

  384. I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods, and I will say to my soul, So thou hast much goods, laid up for me many years, take thy ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

  385. But God said unto him, Thy fool, this night, thy soul shall be required of thee.

  386. Then who shall those things be which thou hast provided?

  387. Whoa! Notice, his plans were not God's.

  388. It was I my, I six times, my four times.

  389. He accumulated, didn't give.

  390. He didn't understand it's more blessed to give than it is to receive.

  391. Given it shall be given unto you.

  392. Good measures, pressed down, shaken together, running over, shall men give back unto you.

  393. Luke 6, 38.

  394. He didn't understand that.

  395. Notice, he trusted his wealth, verse 19, instead of God.

  396. The Bible says, if riches increase, set not your heart upon them.

  397. Amen.

  398. That's what he says.

  399. He that loves pleasure shall be a poor man.

  400. He was a pleasure-seeking guy, verse 19.

  401. And he ended up being a fool.

  402. Wow, what a contrast.

  403. What a contrast.

  404. What an unbelievable insight of the will of God for our lives.

  405. Beloved, we can't see tomorrow.

  406. God's reply to the farmers boasting was he would die that night.

  407. Wow.

  408. Wow.

  409. Okay, you got a million dollars in the bank, but you die today.

  410. What good is it?

  411. Can I tell you you can't take it to heaven with you?

  412. What good is it?

  413. What good is it?

  414. It didn't do you any good.

  415. We have no guarantee of tomorrow.

  416. We need to make each day count for Christ.

  417. Can I get an amen?

  418. So if you don't know Jesus Christ today as your Lord and Savior, guess what?

  419. Today's the day of salvation.

  420. Right now.

  421. 2 Corinthians 6.2.

  422. Behold, now's the time.

  423. Now's the day of salvation.

  424. You need to ask Christ to come right into your heart.

  425. Just like that.

  426. Just like that.

  427. It's so important.

  428. Never make plans without consulting the Lord.

  429. There is nothing wrong in planning for tomorrow as long as you get direction from the Lord.

  430. Can I get an amen?

  431. Proverbs 6, 6, and 8.

  432. Go to the, hey, go read that.

  433. Go to the ants.

  434. The ants prepared and they planned for the future.

  435. Hey, what about Joseph?

  436. He, in Genesis 41, he prepared for the future.

  437. But during this planning, it was all in accordance to God's will.

  438. God was in the center of what they were doing.

  439. And so it's important.

  440. A spiritual man is sensible about his spiritual future.

  441. Let's look at this.

  442. Matthew 6, 19 and 20.

  443. You need to see these.

  444. Lay not up for yourself treasures upon earth where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven where there neither moth nor rust doth corrupt and where thieves do not break through nor steal.

  445. Wow.

  446. What are you laying up for?

  447. Heaven or earth?

  448. What are you doing for the Lord?

  449. Where is God's will in your life?

  450. Are you sure?

  451. See, let me tell you, there's nothing more exciting and more restful and peaceful than doing the will of God.

  452. You'll have less stress, less conflict, less problems, but even the problems are opportunities.

  453. Can I get an amen?

  454. They're opportunities.

  455. There's not problems.

  456. There are opportunities for God to use those opportunities to grow you in the likeness of Christ.

  457. That's so important that we understand it.

  458. Then notice the third thing.

  459. Oh.

  460. Notice the third thing that James says.

  461. The conciseness of life.

  462. For what is your life?

  463. It even is even a vapor that appears for a little time, then vanishes away.

  464. Life is a vapor.

  465. It is here and then gone.

  466. Now, God knows the sand that is left in the hourglass of our life.

  467. Susan asked her, did she have an hourglass, and she did.

  468. I left it on my study.

  469. But I was what I was going to do when I started this message.

  470. I was going to take that hourglass, put it right here, and flip it, and let you be watching the sand go through that hourglass.

  471. Because that's your life.

  472. Right now, your life is going through that eye, hourglass.

  473. I mean, it's and it's not slowing down.

  474. And by the way, once you turn it, you can't stop it.

  475. It's going to go till it empties for one hour.

  476. Then I got thinking, maybe I don't need to do that because I won't tell them how long I've preached.

  477. Especially with Ricky.

  478. But no, but no, do you understand the concept?

  479. Your life right now is that sand.

  480. It's going.

  481. I woke up the other day and I looked at myself in the mirror and I thought to myself and I looked at my graduation picture and I said, Where is that guy?

  482. Man, he's gone.

  483. Where did he go?

  484. You know what vapor is?

  485. That Greek word there, it's like a mist and a smoke.

  486. It's gone.

  487. That's your life.

  488. Just when you're thinking you're gonna wait, you know you're gonna get around to it.

  489. You're gonna do something great for God.

  490. That's why I say, teenagers, you you ought to be on fire for God right now.

  491. Don't wait till you're 20s, you may not make it.

  492. Now, get on fire for God.

  493. Live for God now.

  494. My only regret, I really got on fire for God at about 22, 23.

  495. I wished I'd gotten on fire for God when I really got saved at 16.

  496. Amen?

  497. But but I didn't understand.

  498. I didn't understand what I'm preaching to you.

  499. I didn't understand the will of God for my life.

  500. But now it's so exciting to see what God says.

  501. Oh, it's a vapor.

  502. Now let me tell you what I noticed three things about vapor.

  503. God gave me three S's.

  504. Vapor is swift.

  505. It's here and it's gone.

  506. Your life is here and it's gone.

  507. What are you doing?

  508. Second thing I learned is hey, there's a switch with vapor.

  509. What?

  510. You know what vapor is?

  511. It's water.

  512. And then the water switches to vapor.

  513. Air, smoke, steam.

  514. And you know what?

  515. I learned when that change takes place, you know what brings that that change?

  516. Heat.

  517. Heat.

  518. S-U-N.

  519. Sun.

  520. The sun brings that heat.

  521. I thought to myself, whoo! My life is swift, and my life can be, hey, changed.

  522. There can be a switch by not the S U N, but the Tesho N.

  523. The Son of God, the Son of righteousness.

  524. Therefore, if any man be in Christ Jesus, he's a new creation.

  525. Old things pass away, behold, all things become new.

  526. And then not only is it swift, then when it's switched, and I become useful.

  527. And by the way, steam was useful for what?

  528. Power.

  529. What?

  530. To control trains and ships and all.

  531. So when we are switched into the Son of Righteousness, we can be useful.

  532. According to the power of God.

  533. Now unto him that's able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask.

  534. Or think according to the power that works in us.

  535. The dunymus, Ephesians 3, 20.

  536. That switch.

  537. It's swift.

  538. Our life is swift, but then the switch is swift, and then there's letter S, there's success.

  539. The book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that's written there, and then shall I make the way prosperous.

  540. Then shall you have good success.

  541. Only place the word of the word success is used, right there, Joshua 1.8.

  542. In relation to you and me walking in the will of God, he says, we'll be successful.

  543. Somebody say that's good, preacher.

  544. Good preacher.

  545. Man, that is good.

  546. It's a vapor.

  547. It's here for a little time.

  548. It's gone.

  549. So, what do we do?

  550. Psalms 90, verse 12.

    Psalms 90:12

  551. Teach us to number our days.

  552. Watch.

  553. Teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

  554. Is that not good?

  555. That we might apply our hearts to God's will in our lives.

  556. And there's another one.

  557. Ephesians 5, verse 15 says, see that you walk, the King James says circumspectively.

    Ephesians 5:15

  558. That literally means see that you walk in the light of God, that you walk righteously and honorably and lovingly for God.

  559. And then he says in verse 16, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

  560. So important.

  561. So important.

  562. Don't waste your life.

  563. And then the fourth thing, verse 16, the carnality of man.

  564. But now you rejoice in your boastings, all such rejoicing is evil.

  565. Rejoicing in your boastings is evil.

  566. Now the word evil there means, and it's cow ho-omai.

  567. Cow ho-ho-mi is the Greek word.

  568. Here's what it means: useless and good for nothing.

  569. Well, that's pretty good.

  570. Your boasting's useless and good for nothing.

  571. Hello.

  572. I don't care how good you are.

  573. Hey, hey, can I tell you something else?

  574. Nobody else does either.

  575. Boasting.

  576. Why is it amazing we always try to portray a little bit better than what we really are?

  577. Because it makes our pride feel good.

  578. Can I get an o me?

  579. Amen.

  580. Is that not true?

  581. And the preachers, some of the preachers of the world worse.

  582. They think they're God's gift to preaching.

  583. I'm just thankful I can preach.

  584. Amen?

  585. I'm thankful God's called me to preach.

  586. Praise God.

  587. Teach us to number our days.

  588. The carnality.

  589. There's another good word here.

  590. You know what the word rejoice means here?

  591. It does mean to praise him in the righteous content.

  592. But you know what it means in the bragtocious content?

  593. A loud mouth arrogance.

  594. A loud mouth arrogance.

  595. That's what it means.

  596. That's what it means.

  597. Boasting.

  598. Empty.

  599. Arrogant.

  600. Insulin.

  601. Hey.

  602. Insufficient.

  603. Napoleon Bonaparte, remember him?

  604. I read this, found this.

  605. When he realized when Bonaparte was about to invade Russia, someone tried to discourage him from doing so, and when he realized that he was not getting anywhere, here's what he told the general.

  606. He quoted this saying to him, Man proposes and God disposes.

  607. God proposes.

  608. I meant man proposes and God disposes.

  609. Napoleon looked him in right into his eye, and he was angry and he was mad because he'd been confronted by this reporter.

  610. And oh Napoleon replied angrily, I dispose as well as propose.

  611. You go back in history.

  612. Going into Russia was Napoleon's downfall.

  613. It was his downfall.

  614. Because he thought he was God.

  615. He thought he was God.

  616. It is foolish to have the attitude that says, I'm in control, I'm rich, and I can do what I want when I want how I want it, because tonight could be your last night.

  617. The rich farmer.

  618. Don't forget that.

  619. There's another story.

  620. A little watch, which became dissatisfied with his little spear in his lady's pocket.

  621. Listen to this.

  622. The little watch envied Big Ben.

  623. The little watch looked up and said, I want to be like Big Ben.

  624. I want to rise to the heights of Big Ben.

  625. Oh, he's talking to its owner.

  626. I want to be like Big Ben.

  627. The little watch envied Big Ben.

  628. As the woman crossed Westminster Bridge one day, the little watch said, I wish I could be up there.

  629. I could serve the multitudes.

  630. A voice said to the little watch, You shall have your opportunity.

  631. And magically the little watch was drawn up to the tower by a slender thread.

  632. When it reached the top, the woman said, Where are you, little watch?

  633. I cannot see you.

  634. No one else can see the little watch either.

  635. The elevation of the little watch became its annihilation.

  636. It no lane no longer became useful.

  637. God help us.

  638. That when he elevates us, it's not us.

  639. It's him.

  640. Amen.

  641. It's all about him.

  642. It no longer, I wrote this to myself, it no longer fulfilled the purpose for which it was created.

  643. We cannot let our boasting and pride destroy our effectiveness for Christ.

  644. Number two, the insubordination, indifference toward God's will.

  645. Look at verse 17.

  646. Boy, is that not true.

  647. He that knoweth to do good and doeth to deny it to him, it is sin.

  648. It is sin.

  649. James has fully warned those people, and they have no excuse for their disobedience.

  650. It is sin.

  651. Why do people who know the will of God deliberately disobey it?

  652. I don't know.

  653. Sometimes I think it's we just are scared of the will of God.

  654. Some folks act as though the will of God is something they can't accept or reject.

  655. Now, here's what I want to teach you the will of God is not an option.

  656. Listen to me.

  657. I've learned this the hard way.

  658. The will of God is not an option, it's an obligation.

  659. Is that not good?

  660. It's not an option, it's an obligation.

  661. You and I are called to fulfill the will of God in our life.

  662. And to do anything else would be conflict all the way.

  663. We are called to fulfill the will of God in our life.

  664. Disobeying God's will is what leads to misery in our lives.

  665. One day we'll all stand before the Lord and give an account.

  666. Romans 14, 11.

  667. We're gonna give an account.

  668. We really are, folks.

  669. And you know what the account's gonna be?

  670. How much of the will of God do we fulfill in our life compared to what we didn't do?

  671. That's gonna be the judgment seat.

  672. There's no doubt in my mind.

  673. There's no doubt in my mind.

  674. Disobedient Christians are chastened by the Lord.

  675. Hebrews 12, 5 through 11, if you disobey God's will, you will be chastened.

  676. I like what he says at the end of those scriptures in verse 11.

  677. Now no chastening for the present seems to be joyous.

  678. That's true.

  679. But grievous?

  680. That's true.

  681. Nevertheless, afterwards it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

  682. You know why God chastens you and me and won't let us get away with not fulfilling his will?

  683. Because he loves us and he's got a great plan for us.

  684. Think about that, folks.

  685. Think about that.

  686. That's awesome.

  687. That's awesome.

  688. And then disobedient Christians are in danger of losing heavenly rewards.

  689. 1 Corinthians 9, 24 through 27.

  690. That's why Paul said, I keep under my body and bring it into subjection that by any means when I have preached to others, I myself should not be a castaway.

  691. The word castaway there means disqualified.

  692. I don't want to be a castaway.

  693. I don't want to be disqualified.

  694. I want to fulfill the will of God for my life.

  695. Man, that's exciting.

  696. I wish I could just let you see how exciting the will of God is.

  697. But I can't do that.

  698. But you can experience that's what he's talking about.

  699. And then the last thing, and I'm through.

  700. An inspirational attitude.

  701. Obedience toward God.

  702. Verse 15.

  703. Look at it.

  704. Our attitude should be God willing.

  705. I will do this or I will be there.

  706. I'll go there.

  707. Whatever you ask me to do, if it's your will, God, I'll do it.

  708. Having this attitude is an attitude of trust in and submission to the Lord Jesus Christ.

  709. The presumptions and assumptions have a way of getting into trouble and bringing disappointment in our lives, but fulfilling the will of God brings peace, contentment, and happiness.

  710. Major difference.

  711. I want you to notice two things that I'm through.

  712. Number one, God wants us to know and understand his will.

  713. Can I get an amen?

  714. Acts 22, 14, and he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee that thou should know his will and see that just one and should hear the voice of his mouth.

  715. Wow.

  716. That's it.

  717. Acts 22, 14.

  718. That's what he said.

  719. In Ephesians 5, 17, wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

  720. And then the second thing, not only does God want us to know and understand his will, watch.

  721. He wants us to prove his will.

  722. This is it.

  723. He wants us to prove his will.

  724. And there's some things that when I mean by proving his will, lived out in our lives.

  725. This is worth you being here.

  726. Here they are.

  727. Number one, God wants us to be submissive and yielded to him.

  728. Amen.

  729. Watch this.

  730. 2 Corinthians 8, 5.

  731. Listen to what he says.

  732. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave them own selves to the Lord and then to the will of God.

  733. They willfully got saved, gave their lives to Christ, and then gave their wills.

  734. When you get saved, you give your will to Christ.

  735. Now here, listen to me.

  736. Whoo, this is so good.

  737. Don't you miss this.

  738. I think too many people think they're saved, then they're not saved.

  739. Now let me explain why.

  740. There's three things in salvation.

  741. Knowledge.

  742. Amen?

  743. Emotions?

  744. Absolutely.

  745. But here's the third thing: the will.

  746. You've got to have knowledge of who he is, what he did.

  747. Then emotionally, when he, hey, you remember that switch?

  748. How quick it happens?

  749. Boom.

  750. It will radically change your life.

  751. That is an emotion that everybody has.

  752. Now you may express it outwardly differently because of your personality.

  753. For me, I jumped up and hollered and run her out.

  754. My wife weeps because that's her makeup, her temperament.

  755. But let me tell you, when you get saved, there is an emotional transformation.

  756. There is a knowledgeable transformation.

  757. But there is a will transformation, an attitude, not my will, but your will.

  758. You can't come down here and pray.

  759. Oh, you can know it, you can be emotionally stirred.

  760. But if you don't give your will and get up and walk out of here, hey, giving your will to God, you didn't do anything but have an emotional experience or a knowledgeable experience.

  761. Because when you give your will, you change.

  762. Hello! Now, people want to confront me with that.

  763. That's okay.

  764. All day long, bring it on.

  765. Because not only is that scripturally right, that's what happened in me.

  766. I made a decision, but I didn't give my will.

  767. I was emotionally stirred, and I knew I didn't want to go to hell, so I went down and said, I want to get saved.

  768. I got saved, supposedly, hey, walked out the door and kept doing what I was doing for and knelt.

  769. Well, I started, I I lasted two days, and then that that emotional feeling went out the door, and I was right back doing what I was doing.

  770. Hello! I had a knowledgeable emotional experience.

  771. I didn't have a will transformation.

  772. But bless God, when I got saved, really, I got up and I wasn't the same old man I used to be.

  773. My want-to change.

  774. Can I get an amen?

  775. If your want-to doesn't change, you didn't get it.

  776. That's it.

  777. It's what the book says.

  778. You're submissive and yielded to Him.

  779. Old man's gone, new man shows up.

  780. Number two, it is God's will that we shun sexual sins.

  781. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification that you should abstain from fornication.

  782. With a sex filled world, we gotta abstain from hey, sexual sins.

  783. Number three, it's God's will that we offer supplications and thanks to the Lord.

  784. 1 Thessalonians 5, 16, 18, rejoice evermore.

  785. Pray without ceasing in everything.

  786. Give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

  787. Number four, God wants us to be sincere and to do his will from the heart.

  788. Not with eye service or men pleasers, but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

  789. For that's good.

  790. What Paul said about giving, and boy, I had never thought about this until this message.

  791. Oh, I love the book.

  792. About the living, you know, in 2 Corinthians 9 7, you know what he says.

  793. Every man give not what?

  794. Grudgingly.

  795. Hey, every man, according as he purposed in his heart, let him give what?

  796. Not grudgingly or of necessity, for God loves what?

  797. Alright, now watch.

  798. The word grudgingly means reluctantly and painfully.

  799. Or with no joy.

  800. Amen.

  801. Alright, the words necessity means under compulsion or being forced to do something.

  802. We are to obey the Lord because we want to.

  803. The secret of happiness is delight thyself also in the Lord, and he'll give you the desires of your heart.

  804. Commit the way unto him.

  805. Trust also in him, and he should bring it to pass.

  806. Psalm 37, 4 and 5.

  807. Is that not good?

  808. Is that not good?

  809. So what I'm saying, that's an area of our giving financially.

  810. But it's also in the area that can be given to our life.

  811. We give our life not grudgingly.

  812. Oh, we don't kneel down at this altar and say, okay, God, I guess I gotta give it up.

  813. Yeah, I guess you want me to go to Africa.

  814. I guess I gotta go.

  815. Yeah, I've run long enough.

  816. No.

  817. You come to that altar flaking God that He's saved you and He's He's made that switch.

  818. You become a new creation.

  819. You've laid your will and crucified it.

  820. You put it on the altar.

  821. No longer my will, but it's your will.

  822. Who am I going, Lord?

  823. Who am I going?

  824. That's what I'm talking about.

  825. That's what it means.

  826. That's it.

  827. That's true.

  828. Salvation.

  829. Yeah, I don't have to worry about you a month from now.

  830. How about you back doing what you can?

  831. Because if you do, gotta get you.

  832. Hello.

  833. That's like, hey, you get, hey, when you speaking of service, you enlist in the army.

  834. You go any wall and see what happens.

  835. They'll find you and they'll lock you up.

  836. God'll find you and He may not lock you up, but you might have been, hey, you might have wished you were locked up.

  837. You'll be in prison.

  838. Prison ministers.

  839. Alright.

  840. Woo! I gotta finish.

  841. I'm hungry.

  842. Alright.

  843. Can't miss this.

  844. Can't miss it.

  845. Is this is this good?

  846. What I just taught you on salvation will wake you up.

  847. Because if you had an emotion or a knowledgeable experience without giving you a will, you didn't get saved.

  848. I'm sorry you didn't.

  849. But now watch this.

  850. What happens when you submit?

  851. There's some benefits.

  852. I can't end on the negative.

  853. Got in on the positive.

  854. By the way, that's scriptural.

  855. Do you know that?

  856. Reprove?

  857. Rebuke.

  858. But then it says exhort with all long suffering and darkness.

  859. That's what.

  860. Let me tell you what true preaching is.

  861. If you're in a church and there's never any rebuking, not by the preacher as a as a self-know-it-all, or but the word of God convicting you and rebuking you in the ways that you shouldn't be living, you're not in a church that's preaching the whole truth.

  862. Amen.

  863. He said, preach the word, be instant in season, out of season.

  864. Reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all long suffering and God.

  865. 2 Timothy 4 2.

  866. That's what it said.

  867. And now you ready?

  868. Let's look at the exhorting.

  869. Awesome.

  870. Look at the benefits of doing the will of God.

  871. One, a deeper fellowship.

  872. For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother and my sister and my mother.

  873. Woo! That's intimacy, folks.

  874. Can I get an amen?

  875. There is a rich fellowship.

  876. Notice the second thing.

  877. We will know God's truth.

  878. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, the truth, whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself.

  879. Hey, you'll know real quick whether that's your thought or his thought.

  880. Can I get an amen?

  881. Susan, I just had a talk here recently.

  882. I'll get a little personal here.

  883. And she said something to me about some things in my own life.

  884. I do have two Holy Spirits.

  885. The Holy Spirit and Susan.

  886. I knew Landy would like that.

  887. And I turned to her and I said, honey, you gotta realize something.

  888. I can't stay in this book and not be transformed.

  889. You can't do it.

  890. Not if you go to it saying, God teach me and God change me and God use me and God make me.

  891. You can't do it.

  892. You know what you'll do?

  893. You'll stay out of it.

  894. And it'll be what you think instead of what God thinks.

  895. The battle I had with my youngest daughter, and she is a brilliant like her mother.

  896. She's a surgical PA.

  897. Well, that's what you think, Dad.

  898. No, it's what the book says.

  899. Well, men wrote it.

  900. I said, no.

  901. No, they didn't.

  902. God wrote it.

  903. No, God didn't take his thing.

  904. I said, no, but he controlled the minds and the hearts and the, hey, the men's arms and pen.

  905. Yes, he wrote every jot.

  906. Matthew 5, 18, every jot, every tittle.

  907. Every comma.

  908. He wrote it under the inspiration of him.

  909. But see, when you know, when you know the truth, you can't help but be changed.

  910. You shall know the truth, say it with me.

  911. And the truth shall.

  912. John 8 32.

  913. Can't help it.

  914. It'll change you.

  915. Now sometimes you'll go fighting.

  916. Anybody like me?

  917. I'm the only one.

  918. Alright, Landon, raise your hand.

  919. Darren, raise yours.

  920. All right, good.

  921. I thought you did.

  922. All right.

  923. A few others I could call.

  924. Amen.

  925. Go kicking sometime.

  926. Don't like it sometimes, but if you submit and yield, you gotta change.

  927. You gotta change.

  928. Or he's gonna take you to the woodshed.

  929. You don't want to go to the woodshed.

  930. Trust me.

  931. And then see, you'll have our prayers answered.

  932. What a benefit.

  933. Look, and this is the confidence that we have in him.

  934. That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

  935. Doesn't get any better than that, folks.

  936. You want to know why your prayers aren't being answered?

  937. Got to get in the will of God.

  938. Hello?

  939. Woo! You gotta get in the will of God.

  940. You see that.

  941. Say you see it, church.

  942. Amen.

  943. You gotta get in the will.

  944. You gotta.

  945. You gotta get off the pump.

  946. Where's David Wilson?

  947. Where's David?

  948. Put your head in here, David.

  949. Where's David?

  950. Hey, you gotta get off the pump.

  951. You gotta get off the pump and get into the flow.

  952. I preached the message years ago at his one of his saints.

  953. Hey, get off the pump and get in the flow.

  954. See what happens.

  955. We just keep pumping, pumping, pumping.

  956. We're trying to do it our way.

  957. Get off the pump and get in the wheel and watch the river flow.

  958. Get off the pump.

  959. Get off your wheel.

  960. And get in his wheel.

  961. He'll open the windows and answer your prayers.

  962. D, you'll abide forever.

  963. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.

  964. Any man love the world.

  965. Love the Father's not in him for all is all the world, lust of flesh, lusts of eyes, love for.

  966. Hey, the pride of life, not of the Father, but of the world.

  967. Now what?

  968. The world passes away in the lust thereof, but he that doeth the will of God abideth forever.

  969. And then lastly, there it is.

  970. Woo! We will receive a reward from the Lord.

  971. And hear the words.

  972. His Lord said unto him, Well done.

  973. Thou good and faithful servant.

  974. Thou hast been faithful over a few things.

  975. I will make thee rule over many things.

  976. Enter thou into the joy of the Lord.

  977. Wow.

  978. Wow.

  979. I don't know about you, I want the benefits.

  980. What's the first thing you ask when you want a job?

  981. What's the benefits?

  982. You just found out what the benefits are of being in the will of God, and if it doesn't get any better than that, and money can't buy it.

  983. Hey, a company can't provide it.

  984. Only the love of Jesus Christ.

  985. Only the love of Jesus Christ, who 2,000 years ago put his life on this beautiful, that you know, people say that's an ugly-looking cross.

  986. Oh, it's beautiful.

  987. It's beautiful.

  988. Because I know what took place on that cross for me.

  989. Jesus loved me so much that he gave himself for me on that cross.

  990. 2,000 years ago.

  991. For me.

  992. So that I could become his son and that he would be my daddy.

  993. And so that he could take me up as a young man, as children, children, as arrows of God to be used greatly by God to make a difference in the world where he shoots us.

  994. Amen.

  995. He may shoot you to Africa.

  996. He may shoot you to Maryland.

  997. He may shoot you to Canada.

  998. Hey, he may shoot you to South America.

  999. He may shoot you to India.

1000. I was talking to a man from India yesterday.

1001. He may shoot you, hey, to Westover.

  1002. To Talladega.

1003. But wherever he places you.

1004. By the way, let me help you.

1005. You didn't get that job if you're a Christian.

1006. Or if you did get that job, no wonder you're miserable at it.

1007. But if you allow God to put you in that job, you love it.

  1008. There's a big difference.

1009. See, a lot of, do you realize most people, 45% of people, God, this breaks my heart.

  1010. They hate their job.

1011. Right here in America, 45 plus percent of people hate their job in America.

1012. Now you, there's only one explanation for that.

1013. When I saw, when I thought about those as I was doing all my preparation this week, I said, that's why.

1014. They're out of the will of God.

1015. You can't hate your job if you're in the will of God.

  1016. Not if you understand.

  1017. I know what you're thinking.

  1018. Now, wait a minute, I don't know if I agree that.

1019. Because I had to think through that myself, because there's been some jobs I really didn't like.

1020. But as I look back and I was in the spirit, by the way, most of the time I didn't like them.

  1021. I went back.

1022. Hey, it's because I was doing it my way and it's what I wanted to do and not what God wanted me to do.

  1023. You with me?

1024. Now listen, don't miss this.

1025. Because when you get off the pump and into the flow, there's a joy.

  1026. There's a peace.

  1027. It passes all understanding.

1028. It keeps our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

1029. Can I ask you today to get off the pump and get into the flow of God's will for your life?

  1030. It's radically different.

  1031. I promise.

  1032. I promise.

1033. Every head bow, every eye close.

1034. Father, we thank you this morning for the message that has so gripped my own heart.

1035. God, I want to be nothing more, nothing less than in your perfect will.

  1036. God, that's what I want.

1037. Thank you for giving me the insight to be into your perfect will through the Word of God.

1038. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

1039. Lord, right now we just pray that people that are here, some are lost, some are not saved.

1040. We pray for them right now, listening, watching online, and all the people that will be watching this week, some on vacation watching right now.

1041. God, I pray that you just encourage them, that you lift them up, and God, that you show them the will of God for their lives so they can fulfill it.

1042. You may be here this morning watching, listening, you've never been saved.

1043. You know right now you're not sure you're saved.

1044. I'm going to invite you right now to pray what we call the sinner's prayer out of Luke 15, that the thief on the cross, one of the thieves, prayed.

1045. Would you pray this with me?

1046. Would you pray this with me?

1047. Would you say, dear Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner and I can't save myself.

1048. But right now, dear Jesus, I'm asking you to come into my heart and my life and save me.

1049. Thank you, Lord, for saving me.

1050. And Lord, I give you my will this morning.

1051. Take all that I am.

  1052. I do Romans 12, 1 and 2.

1053. I beseech you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your body a living sacrifice wholly acceptable unto God.

1054. Now listen, which is your reasonable service, be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.

1055. Listen, that ye may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

  1056. Woo! Yes.

  1057. That's what I want to do.

1058. Every head bowed, every eye closed, if you prayed that prayer with me.

1059. I'll not embarrass you in any way.

1060. Would you slide your hand up, say, Pastor, I prayed the prayer with you all over?

  1061. Yes, God bless you.

  1062. God bless you.

  1063. God bless you.

  1064. God bless you.

  1065. God bless you.

  1066. Woo! Yes.

  1067. Anyone else?

  1068. God bless you.

1069. Yes, over here, young man.

  1070. God bless you.

  1071. Anyone else?

  1072. Anyone else?

  1073. That's what it's all about, folks.

  1074. Right there.

1075. All right, here's the second part of this invitation.

1076. How many of us say, Pastor Danny, I'm struggling.

  1077. Let's be honest, transparent.

1078. Nobody, folks, we love you.

1079. We love God and we love people.

1080. We're not, hey, this is just you confessing, getting right with God.

1081. How many of you will say, Pastor Danny, I'm really not sure what the will of God is for my life, but I really want to know it and God show it to me and I'll do it.

1082. Can I pray for you?

1083. Can I pray for you?

1084. Would you raise your hand all over this building?

1085. I want to really know what God's will is for my life, all over this building.

  1086. God bless you.

  1087. God bless you.

1088. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.

1089. Woo! Hallelujah! Yes! Yes! Amen.

1090. You may put them down.

  1091. Now here's what we're gonna do.

1092. We're not in a hurry because we're gonna have a good time.

1093. We're gonna fellowship here in a minute.

  1094. Eat chicken and barbecue.

1095. But this is the most important time of this service right now with those that's just been saved.

1096. And those that just prayed, they want to find the will of God.

1097. I want us right now, every head bowed, every eye closed, I want you to stand to your feet.

1098. No one moving, unless you just absolutely have to go.

  1099. Don't move, don't be distracting.

1100. Now here's what I want us to do.

1101. If you prayed that prayer for salvation, that's the first, that's the biggest step.

  1102. That's the biggest step.

1103. I want you to come down here.

1104. I've got Rick, I've got Tabitha, we've got other counselors here, I've got uh my other counselors right here.

  1105. We're here.

  1106. We're here.

1107. But we want to give you this little booklet.

1108. It's so important you get that booklet.

1109. And and we're so excited because we're gonna get you started on the first step.

1110. This fall we're gonna have Sunday school classes for.

1111. It's gonna be so exciting.

1112. Great crowd here today, by the way.

1113. Great crowd on the 4th of July.

  1114. Amen.

1115. But would you right now, you prayed that prayer now?

  1116. I know what Satan's right now.

1117. He's saying you don't have to go down there.

  1118. Yes, you do.

  1119. Yes, you do.

  1120. Yes, you do.

1121. Because we're gonna kick Satan right in the teeth.

1122. He's trying to keep you there so you won't get the little pamphlet.

1123. We're not gonna do anything but pray with you.

1124. I want you to step out all over this building right now.

  1125. You prayed that prayer.

1126. Come on, right now, right now.

1127. I want you to get this pamphlet.

  1128. That's it.

  1129. That's it.

  1130. That's it.

  1131. Woohoo! Hallelujah.

1132. Give him a clap offering, church.

  1133. Come on.

  1134. Come on.

  1135. Woo! Hallelujah.

  1136. That's what it's all about.

  1137. That's what we're here.

  1138. Come on, guys.

  1139. Yeah.

1140. Don't let Satan woo! Amen.

1141. A man that says, say, see, yes.

  1142. Invited a neighbor.

1143. She's here and getting saved this morning.

  1144. Let's give God a hand.

  1145. Woo! That's what it's all about.

1146. I used the wrong fire.

  1147. They're not inviting everybody.

  1148. Adults are inviting everybody.

  1149. Amen.

  1150. Now, all right.

  1151. Here's the second.

1152. You that said you want to make sure you want to know God's will and want to get in it.

1153. I want to pray with you personally.

1154. And some of my men and women here, we want to pray with you.

1155. I want you to step out and come on down here and let's pray together.

1156. Where two shall agree it shall be done.

  1157. That's it.

  1158. Come on.

  1159. Come on now.

1160. You raised your hand, you want to know the will.

1161. Don't let pride keep you back there.

  1162. That's all it is.

  1163. Come on.

  1164. Come on.

1165. Because we're going to pray.

1166. And we're going to ask God to give, hey, hey, God to give you his insight.

1167. For God to give you his wisdom, his discernment, his direction for your life and what you need to do, where you need to go.

  1168. Come on in here.

  1169. Come on.

  1170. Amen.

1171. I'm going to need some ladies up here to pray with me with these ladies.

  1172. Come on up here.

  1173. Amen, Brett.

1174. Be praying for big boy Brett coming.

1175. He feels like God may be calling him in the ministry.

1176. He wants to be sure.

  1177. Amen.

  1178. Amen.

  1179. Amen.

  1180. Amen.

  1181. Come on in here.

1182. Hammond and pray with these ladies.

  1183. Amen.

  1184. Now pray with them.

  1185. Pray with them specifically.

1186. Hey, Clay, come pray with Brett right here.

  1187. Right here, Rosemary.

  1188. Pray with Brett.

  1189. Anyone else?

  1190. Amen.

  1191. Hallelujah.

1192. To God be the glory.

1193. This is what it's all about, folks.

1194. By the way, finding the will of God, it's a real close second to getting saved.

1195. Really, you can't you can't separate them.

1196. You you get in the will by getting saved and then you be obedient.

1197. So these are just as important.

  1198. Come on.

  1199. Come on.

  1200. Amen.

  1201. Amen.

  1202. Hunter.

1203. God bless your heart, man.

  1204. Come here.

1205. When young men or older men start, or women start surrendering to the ministry.

  1206. That's not easy.

1207. You know what I tell them?

1208. You do anything and everything you can accept the ministry.

1209. And if you can't do it, then you gotta go.

  1210. It's not easy.

  1211. It's 24-7.

  1212. But it's a joy.

  1213. It's a joy.

1214. Thank God for our youth.

1215. I tell you, our youth came back from youth camp.

1216. I think we're going to take the adults to youth camp.

  1217. Amen.

1218. Get them on fire like the young people came back.

  1219. Amen.

1220. Actually, you know what I was thinking?

1221. We ought to have a family camp.

1222. Just get us all fired up.

1223. Just spend three or four days together in the book, praising him.

1224. Just getting it, getting fired up.

1225. Actually, that's what we do on Sunday mornings, isn't it?

  1226. That's my job.

  1227. Hey, you know what?

1228. Somebody said, What's your job?

  1229. I said, I'm a cheerleader for Jesus.

1230. My job is on Sunday morning for an hour, we're in a pimp rally for Jesus.

1231. And we're getting fired up.

  1232. Filled up.

1233. It up with the word and the Holy Spirit so we can go out and fight.

1234. And when we've done all we can do, still fight.

  1235. Stay in Ephesians 6.

  1236. Amen.

  1237. Amen.

  1238. Woo! This is awesome.

  1239. You may be seated.

1240. I want our ushers to come down.

  1241. Now listen.

1242. Let me tell you what we're going to do today.

  1243. Bob.

  1244. Here's what we're going to do.

1245. I was trying to think how I want to do it, but the Lord's told me how to do it.

  1246. Here's what I'm going to do.

1247. I was thinking about trying to do two offerings, but I'm not going to do that.

  1248. Here's what we're going to do.

  1249. Alright.

1250. By the way, Miss Geraldine over there.

1251. You've got to realize they make their living.

1252. Dave has been retired, been sick.

1253. So she has been the main breadwinner out on the road.

1254. Almost every Sunday for the last 30 years, she speaks, does camps, does seniors.

1255. What I'm saying is, they have been set back financially.

1256. You know what she told me?

  1257. She said, Pastor Danny.

1258. And by the way, there's other churches helping.

  1259. Praise the Lord.

1260. And we became the avenue which churches could give to us to give to them.

1261. And God has so blessed that.

1262. But she said, I'm coming to your church and you're not giving me a dime.

1263. I said, okay, well, that's sweet of you.

1264. Now you know your pastor.

  1265. Okay?

1266. I had to tell her that because I I I well, hey, she's part of our church.

1267. Even though she's a member of another church, and I'm not trying to proselyte her, I already have.

1268. She didn't have to move her membership, but she's part of us.

1269. I go by and I just love visiting with them.

1270. In fact, when I go, I have to knock off the whole rest of the afternoon because we're going to have a good time done by the Lord.

  1271. That's all we do.

1272. And we just have a ball.

1273. But here's what I want to do.

1274. I want you to give today, not just your regular tithe and offering, or tithes.

1275. Actually, offerings above the tithe.

1276. Tithe goes for the ministries of this church.

1277. Offerings to be a blessing and do other more stuff.

1278. Well, today the offering's going to Ricky and Geraldine.

1279. It's going to be, amen.

1280. It's going to Gerald Dean.

1281. So I want you to any up today.

1282. I don't want you to be stingy.

  1283. You're not.

  1284. You never are.

  1285. You never are.

1286. But I want you to be a blessing.

1287. I'm going to tell you something.

1288. You become a blessing to them today.

1289. You become a blessing to them today.

1290. And I'm going to tell you, God's going to bless you greatly.

1291. Didn't you enjoy Geraldine and Ricky this morning?

  1292. Love you.

  1293. Love you so much.

1294. And they're part of our family.

1295. They live right here in Chelsea.

1296. They're part of our family.

1297. And we're here to take care of them anyway.

1298. And I've already told them, and I mean it.

1299. Whatever they need, all they got to do is call us.

  1300. We're here.

  1301. We're here.

  1302. We're here.

1303. And uh and she knows that.

1304. And uh, every time I go by, except Friday, but I wasn't expecting.

1305. I I take them a big thing of ribs.

  1306. Dave loves ribs.

1307. And I kind of like them too.

1308. You know, if you take it, you do get a bag.

1309. But uh anyway, I want you to give today as a blessing.

1310. You you bless this church.

  1311. You bless it greatly.

  1312. You know why?

1313. This is what we do.

  1314. We help people.

  1315. We help people.

1316. So would you give a great love offering today for Gerald and Ricky, too?

1317. And we'll make sure they'll they'll get she's gonna be well taken care of today.

  1318. I can promise you.

1319. Lord Jesus, we thank you for the day.

1320. We thank you for your love.

1321. We thank you for being the God of amazing grace.

1322. How sweet the sound that saved the rich like me.

1323. I once was lost and blind, but now I see.

1324. God, we pray that you allow us to fulfill your will in this church.

1325. It's not Pastor Danny's, it's not the council, it's not any individual.

1326. We want to do your will and nothing else and nothing more.

1327. Let us fulfill your will in this community.

1328. Build that complex back there, Lord.

1329. Let our men and women be a part of that so we can save monies to be able to use to help people.

1330. But God, we want to bring hundreds, thousands of people onto this property that can hear the good news.

1331. As they walk through the trails, they have the word of God placed on the trees and down by the creek at the prayer gardens.

1332. Oh, God, I see it.

  1333. I see it.

  1334. Lord, we thank you.

1335. We praise you this morning.

1336. Thank you for our people and the way they give.

  1337. We love you, Lord.

1338. In Jesus' name and all God's people said.

1339. Thanks again for tuning into this week's message.
