Welcome to this week's message from the Church at Chelsea Westover.
-
Our core values are vibrant worship, intimate fellowship, fulfilling service, and clear biblical truth.
-
We pray that this message changes your life.
-
Let's tune into today's message and see what God has in store for you.
-
Heavenly Father, oh God.
-
Just enter your gates with Thanksgiving, God.
-
God, thank you, God, for the opportunity, God, to come boldly before your throne of grace.
-
God, I ask that I decrease today, God.
-
That I decrease.
-
Get rid of self, God.
-
I ask that you speak through me, God.
-
Your words, God.
-
Speak through me, Lord, God.
-
God, for your people, God.
-
I don't take this for granted, God.
-
This is a big opportunity, God, that you had allowed me to have, God.
-
I thank you, Lord God.
-
I thank you, Lord God, for our shepherd, God.
-
And the vision he has for this church, God.
-
I thank you for the board, God, and the vision we have for this church, God.
-
God, I thank you for all the people here at CCW.
-
God, I thank you for all the visitors, God.
-
And God, over the last couple months, Lord God, just like the brother said, Brother Ernest, it's been some present times.
-
Been some unknowns, God.
-
But you knew.
-
You already knew the beginning from the end, God.
-
It's no surprise who won the election, God.
-
And just like Brother Ernest said, God, it's not about who's in the white house, God.
-
But it's about you being on that throne.
-
And God, we praise and magnify you, God.
-
And lift you up.
-
In Jesus' name, we pray.
-
Amen.
-
Amen.
-
First of all, I want all my vests to stand up.
-
Praise God.
-
Stand up, Vince.
-
Well, yeah.
-
I want to see you.
-
Thank you.
-
All right.
-
Praise the Lord.
-
I always honor my Savior.
-
Like I say, it's an opportunity from Him that I'm here now.
-
I'm going to tell you some things that have been going on in my life here recently.
-
And somewhere been trying.
-
And it has nothing to do with election.
-
That's mine.
-
But I love my Lord.
-
I'm thankful for Him.
-
I'm thankful for my pastor.
-
Like I said, now this man, he's an example to the body of Christ.
-
Because there's a lot of people go to church.
-
And I'm going to talk about that today.
-
Don't be deceived because they're here.
-
It's a lot of them go to church.
-
But I'm going to tell you, CCW, you ought to stand.
-
This man of God, I told him before, I brag on this man.
-
Because I read in the Bible, it said, follow.
-
When Paul said, follow me as I follow Christ.
-
He followed Christ.
-
See, some people preach it here in the pulpit.
-
But when they get out there, oh.
-
It's different.
-
So stand up and give up a man of God, a round of applause.
-
I want you to, especially in a time like this, stand up and give him a round of applause.
-
I don't know if you're gonna call this a sermon today or a message.
-
Actually, just like Pastor Dana said, probably about three weeks ago, bad leg and all.
-
I came to Pastor Dan and I said, Pastor Dan, I'm ready.
-
As many you know, I've had uh surgery, so I had I've been in the world a lot.
-
I didn't work for like six weeks, so I've been reading, I had all these messages.
-
I go, I was trying to even do a mess like Pastor Danny.
-
I said, Oh, I can do a mess like Pastor Danny.
-
Yes.
-
So I said, I'm ready, I'm ready.
-
I got my points, I got my points and everything.
-
But God.
-
He said, You don't preach what you want to preach.
-
It's that for men is led by the Spirit of God, it's the Son of God.
-
Got an audible.
-
In fact, uh now on weekends, I sleep in on the weekends.
-
Yesterday morning, probably about four, about four, probably four thirty.
-
Uh the Holy Spirit just woke me up and um once I woke up, I was like, wow.
-
I mean, he's really dealing with me.
-
I said, I gotta preach this.
-
I gotta preach what's going on in our country.
-
But it's amazing though, how my wife says every time I preach, I always talk about the military.
-
It's very relevant today, and my service member really is gonna understand what I'm saying.
-
Now, I love all my civilians.
-
Now, you know I love y'all.
-
But my service member really, and but I'm gonna try to to uh paint the picture today where everybody understands.
-
Now, Pastor Dan, I already talked about I was in the military 25 years, but you develop friends.
-
You get bonds, it's it's a different type of bond, it's not like you go from one job to another job.
-
Remember, I was telling you I had some bad news that transpired, had nothing to do with the election.
-
But uh I got a call probably about two weeks ago.
-
And I have a friend that was in the army, I know him, through my nephew.
-
And it's it's one thing about the military people, we're a big brotherhood, a big fraternity.
-
I don't care where you go, it's a big fraternity.
-
But anyway, he has cancer.
-
He's born-again Christian, he has four kids, and he has cancer, so it was a fundraiser.
-
I gotta tell you about my God.
-
It was a fundraiser, so he did, I never heard of go-to-me fundraising, and he needed$25,000.
-
Anyway, he had got up to about$12,000, and my nephew knows him uh extremely well too.
-
He got up about$12,000.
-
Somebody that his mother sold a seed in to, I think maybe 20 years ago, when the child was small.
-
She gave him$100.
-
Anyway, this person now heard about the young man I'm talking about.
-
He's a professional football player.
-
So you know the rest, don't you?
-
You know the rest now.
-
I'm talking about my king now.
-
I'm I'm talking about my king.
-
Yesterday morning, when I was up, I mean, I was in a good mood studying, I got another message from one of my friends.
-
And he had called, and I had just talked to him the day before.
-
I'm like, something must be wrong.
-
I saw why I had three, it was like three or four missed calls, and he left a message.
-
And then I called him, and he really hit me with some tough news.
-
He said, uh, it's one of our army friends, because when I was stationed in West Germany, I mean, just like we have a closed spiritual family here, I had a closed family.
-
And uh we used to go to dinner together afterwards, uh, go to the movies.
-
We did everything together.
-
Uh his son was killed on uh Friday night.
-
So he called my other spiritual brother and said, I need you to go and help identify the body.
-
And when he dropped that news on me, I'm like, why you just call me and just drop that on me like that?
-
Jesus.
-
He said, start praying for him.
-
I don't know the details, and I start praying for him.
-
So I said all that to say this each and every person here today, you're blessed to be here.
-
Now, I want everybody to stand to their feet.
-
If you're able, I want you to stand to your feet.
-
One thing about the military, we believe in inspiration.
-
But we're not gonna talk about, we're not gonna be talking about how we want to be inspired because of USA.
-
The Bible says he delights in our praises.
-
Now, I'm gonna talk about politics.
-
I'm not on the side, but I'm gonna promote him.
-
So, help me help me out now.
-
Tell me that I watched the same television.
-
Now, I know when it comes to the football games, you go, it's a lot of passion.
-
Now, I always tell people when I was in when I was in North Carolina, it was ACC football.
-
I mean basketball.
-
Down here, it's SEC football.
-
I saw the political rally.
-
Oh my god.
-
I thought they was getting ready to go to combat.
-
I mean, they had them fired up, nothing wrong with that.
-
But now I'm gonna ask you, let's get fired up for Jesus.
-
Let's get fired up for Jesus, the Lord of the Lord, the King of the King.
-
Can you lift your hands and tell him thank you?
-
Praise him, praise him, just thank the Lord, thank you, Lord, thank you, Lord, hallelujah! Give him the highest praise, give him the highest praise.
-
He's worthy, hallelujah, hallelujah, all right.
-
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, thank you, thank you, Lord.
-
All right, you can have a seat.
-
Now I know some of you say it don't take all that, but you better read the book, as my pastor said.
-
It's gonna be loud in heaven.
-
You better read the book.
-
Yes, sir.
-
Okay, I thank God for my beautiful wife, uh, my kids.
-
Uh, it's just a blessing to be here.
-
Like I told you, the Holy Spirit pulled the audible.
-
I was gonna talk about uh what would he call you?
-
That's Luke the 12th chapter.
-
Oh, so I don't want you to talk about that.
-
We're not gonna talk about that.
-
Brother Ernest says something very important about now, the lecture's over with.
-
Like I told you, to God, it's no surprise.
-
And we got different commandments that we have to follow.
-
Commands, just like in the military.
-
But we can follow the commands, but we we definitely gotta stay in the book, like I told you.
-
God has it's it's no surprise that President elect Trump is the president now.
-
It's no surprise to God.
-
In fact, if I told you something, you think I'm crazy.
-
I some of you believe in prophecy, some of you don't, but that's what your whole Bible's about.
-
But uh, I had a prophet tell me this about three months ago.
-
So it wasn't a surprise to me.
-
In fact, now Isaiah prophesies about Jesus 700 years.
-
He came to pass.
-
So I'm in the book.
-
Let's go to Daniel.
-
I mean, as I go around, I'm in sales.
-
Let's go to Daniel, the second chapter, and the 21st verse.
-
Let's start with Brother Ernie was talking about.
-
He was talking about uh, you know, we got a new president.
-
But the title of this message, I want to call how can I be a better citizen in the kingdom of God?
-
Now I'm talking about the kingdom, not the church.
-
Everybody goes to church, everybody Christian now.
-
I'm talking about a kingdom citizen.
-
He challenged us how to be a better citizen, but I'm talking about the kingdom, and that's what we're gonna talk about is the kingdom.
-
First of all, let's go to Daniel, and I'm gonna show you why God is in charge.
-
So you have any fears, he's a sovereign God, every detail.
-
Daniel, the second chapter and 21st verse.
-
And he changeth the times and the seasons, he removed the kings and set it up the kings.
-
He gave wisdom to the wise and knowledge to them that know understanding.
-
He revealeth the deep and the secret things, he knoweth what's in that darkness and the light.
-
My God.
-
He knows.
-
He knows.
-
Now, a lot of people out now say they're Christian.
-
But what did Jesus preach?
-
The greatest preacher of all, he preached about the kingdom.
-
That's what he talked about.
-
The kingdom.
-
It's different between casual church goers and people that are in the kingdom.
-
In fact, John the Baptist is all he's talking about.
-
Repent.
-
Repent.
-
For the kingdom is heaven is in.
-
Repent, the kingdom, the kingdom.
-
Paul preached the kingdom.
-
And the kingdom is no more than the good news, it's the good news.
-
It's about him dying on that cross.
-
He went to hell on a combat tour, defeated Satan, got back up, went to heaven, took that blind, and put on the mercy seat.
-
And said, mission accomplished, sir.
-
And said, mission accomplished.
-
And why did he do it?
-
For a sinner like me.
-
For a sinner like me.
-
With my bad self and sin for my not only for my past sin, my present sins, he did it for me.
-
Boy, I love him.
-
I'm like early.
-
I'm I love him.
-
Now, one of the first points I want to talk about today in the military, and they they teach you, and it's serious, and we're gonna, we, we're gonna, we're gonna, uh, since we've been in Joshua so much, and Pastor had us studied in Joshua, we're gonna talk about Joshua's son today in the sermon.
-
Because you know Joshua was a soldier, he was a soldier of all soldiers.
-
So in the kingdom, it didn't operate like regular organizations.
-
See, we're different people, we're peculiar people.
-
We're not supposed to fit in.
-
That's right.
-
Like on top of a hill.
-
And especially now, we have to have real bright lights because there's a lot of darkness out there now.
-
And see, religious folks can't shine a light.
-
It takes what's on the inside.
-
The only one can shine a light.
-
Now, like I told you, uh, for us the good news, that's the gospel, and that's our job.
-
We gotta share.
-
And you know, Nick at night, how he came at night.
-
Nicodemus.
-
Well, how are you gonna be born again?
-
You gotta be born again.
-
You have to be born in this kingdom.
-
You can't buy your way into this kingdom, you can't work to get in this kingdom, you gotta have a new heart, a new spirit.
-
You gotta allow that Holy Spirit to come on inside you.
-
That's how you get in this kingdom.
-
But now, with our kingdom, it operates different from the world because there are other kingdoms, and we're gonna talk about it.
-
Now, in this kingdom, who Jesus Christ is sitting on the throne, Ernie, Ernie talked about that on the tape.
-
He's sitting on the throne.
-
It's different rules, and one of the first rules, Paul, like I told you, Paul preached about the kingdom too.
-
Let's go to 1 Corinthians 12th chapter.
-
So we operate different in this kingdom.
-
1 Corinthians 12th chapter and the 12th verse.
-
If you have it, say amen.
-
For as the body is one and have many members, and all the members of the body being many, and are one, so also is Christ.
-
For by one spirit we are baptized into one body, whether it be Jews or Gentiles, whether it be bond or free, and have been all made to drink into one spirit.
-
For the body is not one member, but many.
-
But the members should have the same care, one for another.
-
And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer.
-
One member is honor and one member rejoice with it all.
-
Now, for my brothers have been in the military, we can relate to that.
-
What y'all said in the Marine, talk, talk to me, brother.
-
We said, who in the army?
-
What y'all said?
-
Come on, simplify.
-
Simplify.
-
Now, I I was sharing with uh I was sharing with uh the men class, uh, several of them been in the service.
-
I said, like one of the first principles I had to learn in the army, I thought it was crazy.
-
Like basic training.
-
Get ready, young man.
-
But one of the first principles I learned, I mean, we're one team.
-
We're on the same team.
-
And just like that scripture said.
-
I mean, Paul said it.
-
I tell people all the time, there are a lot of parallels with the military.
-
In fact, they got most of their principles from the Bible.
-
But here it is, uh, like this.
-
This could be a 200 people, it could be a platoon.
-
But now one mess up.
-
One! Everybody gotta pay.
-
I'm like, I didn't do it, I don't even know his name.
-
Why do I have to get up?
-
I mean, and this is a true story in basic training.
-
Somebody, they had these crazy rules.
-
Somebody that stole some food out of the dining facility, because we had these three meals, it went in and snacking.
-
So they found out about somebody that stole some food.
-
So the whole platoon, everybody had to get up.
-
I'm talking about like 3 a.m.
-
in the morning.
-
You already had to get up before 4 a.m.
-
And it's cold.
-
And the drill started and said, You guys have disappointment.
-
You guys deal with him.
-
I didn't do it.
-
But now, when I read in Joshua, and that's what we talked about.
-
Now, Pastor Dan is getting ready to preach on this.
-
Oh, Aiken.
-
God gave him commands.
-
See, that's one thing about being in the kingdom.
-
You can't do it your way.
-
You have to follow the lead of the king sitting on the throne.
-
Hey, Joshua told him, we're going in.
-
In the book of Joshua.
-
And I know there are times in the past where they had taken the spoil, but he specifically told them, You cannot have the spoil.
-
The first fruit goes to God.
-
But you always got one.
-
I'm gonna beat the system.
-
Nobody knows, nobody can see me.
-
Preach, sister.
-
That's right, God.
-
He's looking.
-
His eyes everywhere going to and for.
-
So Awaken did it.
-
And 36 men died.
-
And the sad part about it, I'm sure they didn't know Achan had done that.
-
And Joshua are like, well, what happened?
-
God, you with us.
-
No, they didn't pray.
-
That's what happened.
-
That's what happened.
-
So that's why now, if you're a citizen of the kingdom, it's okay to watch the news.
-
Make sure you stay in contact with him.
-
Make sure you got a direct line with him.
-
Because Joshua ain't got a little cocky now.
-
I don't got cocky before.
-
It's just like you know, you get one victory, like, I don't need you now, God.
-
I got this thing.
-
I got this thing.
-
It's all good.
-
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
-
I'll come back and get you when I get, and God showed them.
-
No, you can't come back and get me when you think you need me.
-
You need me always.
-
That's the way they operate in the kingdom.
-
So they did that.
-
I can remember when I was in the military too.
-
When I go to the club, or even in the foreign country, they always say, you travel together.
-
Now, don't take this wrong one when I say civilian, that's just people never in the military.
-
And the civilians didn't know where to hit them.
-
Just like, for example, they could get into it with one soldier.
-
It could be this many.
-
I mean, let's say this was a club, it could be 300 people in the club.
-
So the civilian hit one soldier.
-
So he thinks he just hit that one soldier.
-
Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
-
If it's 10 guys in the army in there, it's on.
-
If it's 10 Marines in there, it's on.
-
But I said all that to say this.
-
In the body of Christ, we have to be the same way.
-
We got one, we have one king sitting on the throne.
-
Now his word don't change just because we get different political leaders in the White House.
-
It's the same.
-
It does not change.
-
It does not change.
-
So it's about being obedient.
-
We have to be obedient.
-
Now, speaking of that, talking about the word changing.
-
Let's go to First Timothy two one and three.
-
When you're done, say Amen, please.
-
Before I read this scripture, I want to tell you something.
-
Like Pastor Dennis, I was in the army 25 years.
-
Now, the commander in chief of the United States is the President of the United States.
-
Our commander-in-chief in the kingdom is Jesus Christ.
-
He's sitting on the throne.
-
Now, I had my first pres my first commander-in-chief was President Reagan.
-
Then I got President Bush, I got President Clinton, and the last one was W.
-
I got the second President Bush.
-
So basically I had four different uh chain of commander-in-chiefs.
-
Four.
-
But guess what?
-
When you go to the military, and it's just, I keep going back, you have regulations.
-
In fact, that's what basic training is about.
-
They're gonna teach you some regulations, the basics.
-
Now, in the kingdom, we have regulations too.
-
Guess where it's found there?
-
Oh my goodness.
-
The Bible, it does not change.
-
Now, let me tell you something.
-
I had to take an oath.
-
So I would die for this country.
-
I will obey my commandments.
-
Now let me tell you what we did in the military.
-
If you didn't obey, we had something called a uniform code of military justice.
-
Just like I'm gonna say something, some of you might not like it now, but I gotta speak this.
-
You know, just like you know, some people, police brutality.
-
Now say, I'm from the military background.
-
Let me tell you the lenses I see that from.
-
Because I'm coming from a soldier, not about black and white.
-
If you can't handle it, don't get in the kitchen.
-
Now I'm getting to break it down.
-
What I mean by that.
-
In every organization, I tell people, you have good soldiers, you have bad soldiers.
-
You have good preachers, you have bad preachers.
-
You have good teachers, you have bad teachers.
-
In the military, if you didn't follow the rules, it's something called Fort Leavenworth.
-
I don't know if everybody knows what Fort Leavenworth is.
-
Let me tell you what it is.
-
It's the military jail for people that couldn't comply.
-
So I'm all for the police officers.
-
By all means, I love them.
-
In fact, most of them are prime military.
-
But if you're bad, they need to deal with you.
-
Because we dealt with them in this uniform.
-
We didn't even want to wear this uniform.
-
Because remember, I told you we won.
-
We won.
-
We didn't want to wear this uniform.
-
Don't make me look bad.
-
Yeah, don't make me look bad.
-
We'll won.
-
Now, let's read this scripture now.
-
Based on what it's talking about here, we're supposed to pray for our leaders.
-
Now that's the instructions.
-
Okay?
-
I told you I had four commanding chiefs.
-
Do you actually think I enjoyed every one of their commands?
-
Do you actually believe that?
-
I don't even agree with everything my wife said.
-
I love her.
-
But do you actually believe I, everyone?
-
I mean, nothing against me, it'd be the same thing if I was just the commander in chief.
-
But what does the book say about us?
-
We're supposed to pray.
-
Now let me see what I'm gonna tell you why it skiz them in the Bible.
-
I was to talk about this.
-
I'm not going with the left the right.
-
But now, see, this is what I'm hearing.
-
You hear the same thing.
-
Now I said, pray, pray, pray for your leaders.
-
This ain't wait a minute.
-
Did Paul come back from the dead and write this?
-
It's been in the book.
-
It's been in the book.
-
It's not about who you like.
-
If you're to the left or to the right, that's fine.
-
He's on the throne.
-
I'm going to heaven.
-
I don't care who's on the left and who's on the right.
-
I'm gonna call sin.
-
I'm I'm I'm a black man.
-
And I know you said I can see you're a black man.
-
But I gotta tell you something.
-
I gotta tell you something.
-
Y'all remember when Barack won the Kansas?
-
As an African-American, was I proud?
-
Yes.
-
Due to our history.
-
But now my mom is sitting back there, she's 90 years old.
-
One thing about me, I'm a straight shooter.
-
Now, when I saw my White House lit up with all those colors, y'all know what I'm talking about, the LGBT.
-
What does the book say?
-
What does the book say?
-
What does the book say?
-
Black or the book?
-
The book! Black won't take me to heaven.
-
The book will.
-
That won't take me to heaven.
-
Well, I gotta support him.
-
He's black.
-
I can't go to heaven.
-
Because I tell you one thing.
-
With President elect Trump, nothing against him, nothing against President Elect uh President Bush.
-
I tell you one prayer I never prayed.
-
I don't believe anybody out there ever prayed it.
-
Father, in the name of President Bush.
-
God bless this house.
-
Father, in the name of President Barack.
-
I said, Father, in the name of Jesus.
-
I said, Father, in the name of Jesus.
-
That's who I pray to.
-
And our church, that's why I love this man over here.
-
We're in the right place, in the right time.
-
We just gotta unite.
-
We just gotta unite, become one.
-
We have to become one.
-
And guess what?
-
The military taught me too now.
-
Now let me tell you something else.
-
You know, I didn't go to college to lay Black Pastor Dana, just God just blessed me with that degree.
-
Not that small, you can tell by the way I talk.
-
I'm sorry.
-
But it's all good.
-
But uh the military taught me a lot about life.
-
And just like this scripture, I gotta tell you about some of my buddies.
-
So here I am, this little country boy from Alabama.
-
I joined the military.
-
I meet people from New York.
-
That's people in uh the Virgin Islands.
-
I met a Samoan.
-
In fact, Sergeant Poulu, uh, he was a born-again Christian, he was Samoan.
-
Uh I couldn't speak his language.
-
In fact, he started eating rhyme and noodles in the room.
-
That's when I started eating rhyme and noodles because of Sergeant Poulu.
-
He said, Sergeant Bracey, he took talk for me.
-
Sergeant Bracey, I like you, man.
-
I like you.
-
But I mean I learned from him, I talked to him, but the only way I could learn from him, I had to talk to him.
-
I couldn't assume now, because I'm from Grove Hill, Alabama.
-
He was from Samoa.
-
Then I had my brothers over from the Virgin Islands.
-
I didn't know about the Virgin Islands, but now I don't mind talking now.
-
And ask questions.
-
So I talked to him and learned a little something, learned a couple things.
-
And then I'm gonna tell you something, one of the coolest white brothers I ever met, I was telling my wife about was in basic training.
-
He was from Utah.
-
Now check this out.
-
He was 18 years old, had never seen a black man.
-
None on TV.
-
This is true.
-
You laugh, but I'm telling the truth.
-
But but let me tell you what's so impressive.
-
He was like, you know what?
-
It's not like what I heard, y'all.
-
Y'all pretty good.
-
He and I'm telling you, we became good friends.
-
He got out, he got out of the military after the first four years, which keeping contact.
-
I mean, like I said, he was cool.
-
But now, why did I say all that?
-
We in the body of Christ.
-
We got some black people, we got some white people, we got some Mexicans, but now for me to understand this other man over here, I gotta talk to you.
-
If I don't talk to you, don't watch what, don't look at the TV, talk to the other people in the body.
-
Talk to your brother and sister.
-
Talk to them.
-
That's how you can discover what they believe.
-
How do they see this?
-
I know God's sitting on the throne, but we gotta live in this world.
-
So if you hadn't talked to me, you don't know how I feel.
-
Oh, you don't know how I feel.
-
Like people talk about race bait.
-
Okay.
-
Now, it's it's probably some uh that you probably don't know about my wife.
-
Everybody knows about 19, I think it's like 1963.
-
We had four people that got killed in uh 16 Baptist church, those four little girls.
-
Now, to her, it don't matter who the president is or what's going on.
-
When I first met my wife, that was her first cousin.
-
But now, if you talk to her, you'll find out people different experiences.
-
So it's all about us talking and getting to know each other.
-
So you see things through the different lens.
-
It's not I'm right, you wrong.
-
But talk to them and learn, then you can bond because we gotta fight.
-
Oh, we have to fight as a team, though.
-
It's not the liberals versus the conservatives, it's the citizens of the kingdom who we got to move forward.
-
We got to move forward, and we can.
-
We can.
-
Now, everybody putting uh everybody placed a lot of emphasis on the president, even when Obama came in there.
-
He's not running anything.
-
The God is running stuff.
-
Yes, Pastor Danny took it.
-
He's sitting on the plot, Isaiah 9 and 6.
-
Now that's the king, that's the government we gotta be concerned about.
-
Now let me tell you why that government is so important.
-
That's the government that's gonna last throughout eternity.
-
See, see, the Democrats come, the Democrats go.
-
The Republican comes, the Republicans go.
-
But the kingdom of God forever, it's not temporal.
-
No, it is forever.
-
It is forever.
-
So, am I gonna focus on now or am I gonna focus on eternity?
-
Now, me, I gotta focus on eternity.
-
I gotta stay looking at God.
-
I gotta do like Ernie Johnson, we got to love each other.
-
That's our most powerful weapon we got.
-
And especially now.
-
Because it's a fight going on, and it's not about black versus white.
-
You know what the fight is about?
-
Let me tell you what the prize is.
-
Your soul.
-
Your soul! It's not about Republican versus Democrat, it's about your soul.
-
That's it.
-
Now, Satan, let me tell you something.
-
Being that in the military, you know, it's always about battles.
-
They are spirits.
-
You remember um being father talked, I think like three weeks ago when he preached.
-
See, now we're blessed here in America.
-
Demons are for real, my friends.
-
They are real.
-
You have angels and you have demons.
-
So don't think the fight is between like Pastor Dan and I got a problem.
-
This is about souls.
-
And just like God is the king of all kingdoms, the kingdom of light.
-
Guess who the kingdom of darkness is?
-
Who do you think the kingdom of darkness is?
-
Lucifer.
-
Now, what is his mission?
-
Kill, steal, and destroy.
-
Now, God made everything.
-
In fact, he made Lucifer.
-
Except Lucifer got up in heaven.
-
Look at here.
-
I'm gonna raise my throne above yours.
-
I'm the man.
-
Forget about you, God.
-
They need to bow to me.
-
But let me tell you something else now.
-
Lucifer is very persuasive.
-
Now, you're talking about some sales skills.
-
He has some sales skills.
-
Let me tell you the first one.
-
Let me tell you who he closed sales on.
-
A third of the angels.
-
He closed the sale.
-
He closed the sale.
-
And their mission is to come down here and make it dog.
-
And they'll use me, you, our brothers, our sisters.
-
So that's what we gotta stay prayer for.
-
We gotta stay in prayer all the time.
-
We gotta stay in prayer.
-
I want to share something with you for us.
-
The reason we gotta stay in prayer.
-
Because, see, each and every person out there, God called you.
-
He made you for a special reason.
-
You're part of the kingdom.
-
Now, as the king being part of the kingdom of God, the kingdom of light, we have a mission statement.
-
Our mission statement is found in Matthew the 28th chapter and the 19th verse.
-
It's simple, but it's not.
-
We're supposed to go out there and make other disciples, telling people about Jesus.
-
That's for the people in the kingdom.
-
That's the mission.
-
Now it doesn't change Jesus.
-
Now see, that is the mission.
-
And actually, according to the word, it's different crowns.
-
God can reward us for our works.
-
Now we can't work our way into heaven, but God is gonna reward us for our work.
-
But that's our mission.
-
But Satan tried to distract us.
-
That's his job.
-
Kill, steal, and destroy.
-
And how you do it?
-
If we're not together, he can come against us.
-
And we're fighting against each other.
-
But guess what happened when the army fighting against the army?
-
The enemy can come in and snatch.
-
But what are you snatching?
-
Souls.
-
And people are going to hell every day.
-
Every day.
-
So we gotta let that light shine.
-
They're going to hell every day.
-
Now I'm gonna share some with you.
-
Like I say, it doesn't matter who you voted for, whether or not you're liberal or conservative.
-
Because you read the Bible the way I with my lenses, I see he was both.
-
No?
-
No.
-
Now I'm gonna tell you why I think he was both.
-
First of all, free health care.
-
He laid hands on the sick.
-
Let's talk about the poor.
-
He took a two fish fish dinner.
-
People didn't have any food.
-
Here, I feed y'all.
-
Am I right?
-
Am I in the book?
-
Now he he didn't play now now.
-
Now that that was the gray side of him.
-
Now he played with the truth either.
-
He didn't play with the truth either.
-
He called sin.
-
And but them Pharisees, ooh, the religious people.
-
Oh my God.
-
You hypocrite, you viper.
-
Boy.
-
He was both.
-
Go to uh John the fourteenth.
-
Uh first John one and fourteen, please.
-
We're almost finished here.
-
Take it to the house.
-
When you have it say amen.
-
Okay.
-
Oh you are you there?
-
Oh, that's what he has up there.
-
Okay, I'll read it.
-
And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
-
And we beheld his glory, and the glory as the only begotten Father, full of grace and truth.
-
John bear witness of him and cried, saying, This is he whom I spake of.
-
He cometh before me.
-
He cometh before me.
-
But what I want to go back to, he's full of grace and truth.
-
Now when I see grace and truth, I see an intersect just like this.
-
What does that make?
-
What does that look like to you?
-
Oh my god.
-
What?
-
So I told you he was a little liberal and he was a little conservative.
-
But now you put it together, see, man, like I said, we got our opinion.
-
But the only one can really correct our country, make it a great, is who?
-
Jesus.
-
Because he stands for grace and truth.
-
And at the sinist cross, how?
-
What do you see here?
-
That's Jesus on the cross.
-
But it's by love.
-
That's our focal message.
-
We gotta spread it.
-
I don't care who likes it, who don't like it.
-
It's gotta be by love.
-
It's gotta be by love.
-
Love is our most powerful weapon.
-
Ben Come in, please.
-
Go to first Corinthians the thirteenth chapter.
-
Started the first verse.
-
Okay, though I speak with tongues of men and of angels, and not charity, I become as a sounding breast or a tingling cymbal.
-
Though I have the gift of prophecy, I know I can prophesy.
-
It's like a work.
-
Even when I give to the poor, what it's like.
-
Basically, what it's saying, and it closed out here at the end.
-
Charity, what's the last verse say?
-
Go down to the last one and say, now faith, hope, and charity, these three.
-
But the greatest of these is what?
-
Love.
-
Hit the sum again.
-
So what I'm saying, as a body in Christ, we can do all these things.
-
All of them.
-
But we don't have love.
-
We can't draw nobody.
-
Just a noisy symbol.
-
I want to go to the kingdom.
-
I'm going to the kingdom.
-
I am going.
-
I won't let no one, no organization stop me.
-
I'm going.
-
The last scripture I got, I have.
-
Come on on.
-
It's in uh Matthew the seventh chapter.
-
It says, Not everyone that said unto the Lord, Lord, shall enter to the kingdom of heaven.
-
But he that do the will of his father that's in the heaven.
-
So basically, when I got out of there, we got to listen to the king that's on the throne.
-
We gotta follow his word, and it's loaded.
-
It tells us how to navigate through these tough times.
-
We're in for a good time now, because I'm telling you something now.
-
This is the best time for Christians.
-
Because, see now, perilous time.
-
That's part of the last days.
-
It talks about the disciples talked about um like give me some um clues when you're coming back.
-
Like Solomon Gomorrah?
-
Like the time of Noah.
-
Wars, rumors of wars.
-
Now, you know, we're talking about, you know, not just, you know, they had the promised land, but I'm talking about the real promised land.
-
I'm talking about going and living with Jesus forever.
-
He's gonna be the light.
-
And we're just gonna praise him.
-
All day and all night.
-
So let us be warned.
-
Let us be serious about our mission.
-
Because I want to hear those words.
-
Well done.
-
Now good and faithful, sir.
-
Man, you know I love you, but you you I gotta keep my eyes on the prize.
-
I'm gonna tell you this last story, and I'm Pastor Danny's gonna come up with the author call.
-
Um, I went to Desert Storm, they said, uh, we were scared.
-
I know I was, I can't speak for anybody else.
-
I was terrified.
-
And I was telling the men class, I said, uh, I said, the only thing that kept me straight is, I said, I'm going back.
-
I was married time.
-
I will see my mom and dad again.
-
I mean, Satan had showed me my funeral and everything.
-
I said, well, Saddam Hussein had taught so much stuff.
-
I said, well, they they're not gonna have a body.
-
They're just gonna have to do some boots, maybe a hat.
-
Because he was talking about throwing those chemical weapons.
-
I said, well, it's not gonna be good.
-
But then I had to shake myself.
-
That was the first breaks.
-
I had to shake myself and I got in the word.
-
And once I got in the word, I started listening to the Holy Spirit speak to me, and I could see it again.
-
I could see Alabama.
-
So I saw the enemy was there now.
-
But I said, they said, now, our commanders told us the way you go back home, ladies and gentlemen, you gotta defeat your enemy.
-
And you can give you can go back to the United States.
-
I'm here to tell you today, the way that we get to heaven, we gotta defeat the enemy.
-
Satan, Satan, not man, not your brother, sister left.
-
We gotta feed them demons, we gotta snatch them souls, we gotta snatch them souls to go into hell.
-
And we're gonna do it with that love.
-
I love you, my brothers and sisters.
-
