Here, I got two.

I'm sorry, David, I have one hidden in my Bible.

But everybody has one because the next two weeks, I'm telling you, as I've watched going on, what's going on in America today, and as I see the unsettledness, the unrestfulness, as I see the hatred, and as I see the just the anger, I thought to myself, where did this all come from?

Well, we know where it all came from.

It is literally, you're watching Satan at his best.

You're watching Satan attack the country.

But you also, where did that originate?

It originated in Satan destroying the home.

When I was looking at all these protesters and looking at all that's going on, I thought to myself, how could somebody be raised to have that kind of anger, that kind of bitterness, that kind of hatred?

Because it all comes from the way that you and I were raised.

It comes from the culture that we were raised in.

And God designed, I'm talking about God literally created the home to be a place, a family of love and peace and joy, and the family that be a purpose to reproduce and to what?

Train up children as arrows so that they could be arms and buildings and homes of righteousness so that people could really live in peace and harmony and love each other, help each other, work together, and be happy.

Now, today you'd sit there and you'd say, well, that's a fairy tale.

But it didn't start out that way.

And I am convinced the divorce rate is out of hand.

It's unbelievable.

We have more people now living together than ever because they've looked at marriage, they've looked at homes, and they've grown up in marriages that fell apart.

There was no love, there was no comfort, there was no harmony, there was no uh enjoyment.

And most of them come from broken homes.

And I was a product of that almost.

I actually was raised in a home, but there was there was no uh my mother kicked me out, and then my dad, and then she is separated for years.

It was just a mess.

And I moved in with my grandparents, but I saw the love and the foundation of a loving Christian home in my grandparents.

So I did have an example when I was in the seventh grade through high school.

So praise God for that.

But today I want you to know we are, as of today, your pastor's making an announcement.

We are going to fight Satan for the home.

We're gonna raise up young couples in this community that understand what it means to have a happy home.

We're gonna do it.

And it's gonna be, hey, it doesn't happen overnight, but we're gonna be noted for a place where couples can come and be taught how to live, hey, a Christian, how to have a Christian home and how to live the storybook ending.

Amen.

So it's coming and we're going after it.

And it's gonna start today.

This is where it was birthed in my heart.

In Genesis chapter 1 and Genesis chapter 2, we see the creation of the earth.

You and I know God created the earth and everything in the earth in how many days?

Six days, and then on the Sabbath, on the seventh day, he rested.

Okay?

So we see, in fact, I got my little chart here.

Uh uh is so beautiful to see the creation.

The days of creation, on the first day, God created the light.

In Genesis chapter 1, verses 3 and 5.

Genesis 1:3

On day two, he created the atmosphere and water, verses 6 through 8.

On the third day, he created the dry land and the vegetation, the plants, in verses 9 through 13 in chapter 1.

And then on the fourth day, he created the lights, the sun, the moon, and the stars, in verses 14 through 19.

And then on the fifth day, he created the water animals, the whales, the sharks, all kinds of water animals, and the birds.

Water animals and birds, all the flying birds.

And then on the sixth day, he created the land animals, and he created the home, the family.

He created man first, and then he created woman.

In fact, look at chapter 1, verse 25 through 28.

And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind, and God saw that it was good.

Then God said, Let us make man in our image.

In other words, God said, I'm gonna make man like me.

A major distinction between man and animal.

He says, Man's gonna be in my image, according to my likeness.

Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, over the cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.

So God created man, now watch, in his own image.

In the image of God, he created him.

Male and, all right, ladies, and female.

There's a major distinction between animals and male and female.

Can I get an amen?

And by the way, we were not created from a mucky.

God created us.

Can I get an amen?

We did not dissolve.

Resolve.

Evolve.

Dissolve, evolve.

I'll get it in a minute.

Evolve.

Okay.

Just a thought.

But hey, we didn't evolve.

We didn't come from a tapeau.

Amen.

God created us.

And look, and this, oh, oh man.

And then he gives us our purpose.

Then God blessed them.

Multiply, he said.

God blessed them.

God said to them, Be fruitful and multiply.

Fill the earth and subdue it.

Have dominion over the fish, over the sea, over the birds, of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

Wow.

So we see on the sixth day, God created the family.

God created the family.

Now let's look at that.

Now go over to Genesis chapter 2, verse 18 through 25 is our the heart of the passage today.

Genesis 2:18–25

And we see a beautiful passage here.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone.

Can I get an amen men?

Without our wives, we're not worth anything.

I know.

Hello.

Ladies, are you gonna help preach me this morning?

I need your help.

It's gonna be tough on the men this morning.

Would you help me, ladies?

Oh me, yeah.

Yeah, that's true.

It is not good that man should be alone.

I will make him a helper comparable and compatible to him.

Out of the ground, the Lord God formed every beast.

Now, it's amazing after he, verse 18, put a star by it.

It is one of the most powerful verses in the Bible in relationship to the home.

It's the foundational verse for the home.

And then he goes back and talks about the animals, and I'll explain to you basically why he does that after he so emphasizes the creation of woman.

And then pick up at verse 21.

After he's made all the animals, now he's hey, Adam needs a helpmate, Adam needs a companion, and we're gonna deal with that.

Ladies, you're gonna love me after this message.

It's tough for us men.

Men, you're gonna not like me for a while.

But that's okay.

I love you.

And my wife is sitting on the front row taking notes too.

So we're in this together.

And the Lord calls, after he made all the men, now he's he's ready to give Adam a helpmate.

And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept, and he took one of his ribs and closed up the flesh in its place.

Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, he made into a woman.

Isha.

Isha.

A woman.

And he brought, by the way, notice he made a woman, not another man.

Amen.

I know this is not going to be politically correct today, but I'm gonna help you.

We're our young people aren't being taught the truth about homes and about marriage relationship.

He didn't create a man for a man, and he didn't create a woman for a woman.

He created a man and then he created a woman for the man.

Amen?

That's what God did.

You can start right here.

That's the you say, well, no, there is no wells, there are no butts.

That settles it.

This is God's pattern, this is God's purpose.

And notice what he says after that.

He said, Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man, he made into a woman.

And he brought her to the man.

And Adam said, No telling what Adam said.

Wow! Can you imagine?

This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.

She shall be called woman, not man, because she was taken out of man.

Therefore, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

They were totally innocent.

There was no shame.

There was no guilt.

There was no no because there was no sin.

Amen.

Sin doesn't take place in chapter three, where we see the beginning of the devil's triangle.

That's why we're gonna, here we'll see God's triangle.

Then we see in chapter three, the devil's triangle, how he uses his triangle to destroy God's triangle, or he tries.

So now watch.

In this powerful passage of Scripture, this precious passage, really, there's within its words the experience.

Now let me show you what God's teaching me and what we got to understand.

In this passage, there is the experience of need and desire.

Watch this, men.

We need and we should desire our companion.

Can I get an amen, ladies?

But also there's the experience, and we see that on Adam's part, there was a need for Adam and a desire by Adam.

Adam, after he had gotten through making all those animals, can you imagine?

Two by two, here they come.

Every animal that God made and he named, they all had companions.

And now he looks around and he doesn't have a companion.

And he said, Man, there's something lacking here.

I mean, hey, hey, my little puppy dog over there looks good.

Rocky looks good.

But but I'm missing something.

There's a lack of fulfillment here.

I'm where where's my mate?

Where is my companion?

So there's a need and a desire on Adam's part, but then look on God's part.

The experience of caring and love.

God cares so much and loves so much he knew Adam needed a companion.

So we see God's love and caring.

And then we see the experience of promise and provision.

Not only does God care, not only does God know what we need, but he provides it.

Can I get an amen?

My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches and glory through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4.19.

And then we see the experience of anticipation and excitement by Adam.

He gets excited when God creates his companion.

And then, hey, we see the warmth and tenderness here by both Adam and Eve as they come together.

What a beautiful picture of God.

Amen.

God's love for us, God's care for us, God's provision for us.

Is that not good?

Amen.

So with that said, let's look at five things I don't want us to miss in this powerful message this morning on the Christianity and the marriage relationship.

Number one, God planned woman.

God planned the first home.

Verse 18.

Woman was as much the creation of God as man was.

Look at Genesis 127.

And it says, so God created man in his own image.

In the image of God created he him, male and female created he them.

Now note that the creation of woman is discussed here in great detail.

I mean great detail.

Why?

Well, the primary reason why this home and Adam and Eve, but especially the woman, is given so much emphasis and so much foundational truths, is because this is the key.

Ladies, I'm going to tell you something right up front.

You got, I know the man's supposed to be the leader, he was created first, and I understand all that.

And we're going to deal with it.

But do you know that, ladies, you are the key?

In fact, let me put it this way.

I was trying to think of a good example.

You are the sprocket.

You are the one that makes everything move.

You're the one that makes everything work.

Without that, we can have the chain, we can have the bike, and it can be pretty, the chain be pretty, but if it's not put on that sprocket so it can move, we're useless.

Hello.

Amen.

Ladies, you don't be scared to say amen.

If the husbands, they're not gonna, it's okay.

But now notice, notice the primary reason seems to be this to me to establish, to set the relationship of man and woman, hey, so it can be seen right out of the gate for generation to generation.

Here's the picture.

And with that said, man and woman are related to each other intimately.

They are totally dependent upon each other.

One cannot exist without the other.

Amen.

Not in God's plan.

Now I know there are today, and I'm gonna deal with that just a little.

But God created us to be together.

Can I get an amen?

God, why?

There's a reason.

We both have a distinct role upon the earth, but we have different purposes, but we are to be a team.

And if we're going to fulfill the role that God wants in each of our lives, and God's purpose for me and Susan is to build a godly family home.

That's the purpose.

And next week we'll see the second one out of Psalms, the second message out of Psalms 127, verse 1, where he says, Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.

Psalms 127:1

God is the designer.

God is the planner of the home.

God established the first home.

And he created man and woman to be together.

Note, God plans woman's creation in verse 18.

It is God Himself who is plant, hey, is planning and speaking of the creation of woman.

Look at verse 18 again.

And the Lord God said, It is not good that man should be alone.

I will make him a helper comparable to him.

He knew man needed help.

He knew that man needed a companion.

And we see that right here.

Woman was not, listen to me, just an afterthought of God.

Can I get an amen, ladies?

You're not an afterthought.

Hey, a woman was not an inferior plan.

A woman was not less important.

In fact, hey, she was not less less thought of.

It was God's ideal for woman to be created for man.

That's so important that we understand that.

No, why?

So, if it was so important, why did God create woman?

Well, his purpose is clearly stated right here.

Number one, woman was created because it was not good for man to be alone.

Put that down.

Not good for man to be alone.

Have you ever wondered why man sometimes, ladies, they just want you around.

They may not talk to you, but they still want you around.

Amen.

I mean, we just we just want you around.

Why?

Because we don't want to be alone.

We don't want to be alone.

And and look, not good.

That word not good, you know what that means?

I looked that up and did some word studies here.

It means incomplete.

It means unfinished.

It means unfilled.

It means deficient.

It means standing by himself.

It means standing alone.

It means man is lonely without woman.

Now some of you saying, well, I'm not.

Well, you probably need to get saved then.

That was a low blow.

Sorry, gentlemen.

God created man and then he created woman to fulfill man's purpose.

Ooh.

Did you hear that?

Man cannot complete what God wants him to do if he's building a home God's way without woman.

Can't do it.

Can't do it.

Amen.

Can't do it.

There's no way.

Neither would hey.

Hey, he cannot reproduce and be fruitful and multiply and hey, and have authority over the earth without woman.

Can't do it.

The point is this man was only half of God's plan.

Is that not good?

We're only half of God's plan.

Woman was the other half.

God's plans was not complete until woman was created.

Now, the same problem we see today.

We see the loneliness, we see the emptiness, the deficiencies, and the incompleteness and the unfulfillment in homes today.

And you know why?

Because we're not doing it God's way.

It's that simple.

And but God didn't mean it to be that way.

Listen, why?

God did not create man and woman to suffer affliction.

Can I get an amen?

But the reason for the division and the divisiveness and even the divorce is one word, sin.

That's it.

And it usually boils down to one of the other or both being very selfish.

They want what they want, not what God wants.

Owe me, all of us.

So we see that very plainly here.

But there's an answer.

Can you and I live a complete and fulfilled life, a life with purpose, meaning, and significance?

Yes, we can.

And that's gonna be the whole basis of.

Foundation of the group when we take these couples through this God's triangle versus Satan's triangle.

Jesus Christ came to this earth to give us both abundant life and purpose in life.

Can I get an amen?

But we got to see that purpose, and here we see the purpose.

We've got to turn to Christ and follow him.

Listen to what he says in John verse 1, verse 4.

This is powerful.

In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

God's given us life, light on what the home ought to be.

He says, I've come to give you life and give it more abundantly.

John 10, 10.

He says, These things have written unto you that, hey, that my word and my joy might be in you, and that your joy might be full.

John 15, 11.

So, woman was created because it was not good for man to be alone.

Look at the second thing.

God planned woman because man needed a helper, a companion, a suitable helper and companion.

The word meet, help meet there.

You know what it means?

It means suitable.

It means that the woman was to be the counterpart to man.

That she was, hey, to be the very same nature as man, the same rank as man, to be suited to man mentally, physically, and morally and spiritually.

Wow.

Now I want you to notice some things.

God taught me here.

First, God created woman to be a true helper and companion.

There is no superiority or inferiority in this relationship.

Can I get an amen?

And that's why you're hearing about the Muslims and all these different countries where they have so suppressed a woman.

Listen, man's the head.

Absolutely, he was created first.

But that doesn't mean that he's superior.

That does not mean that the woman is inferior.

What it means is there's a rank in the system.

We all have a rank.

You got a boss, you got laws, you've got to have organization, or nothing would function correctly.

Can I get an amen?

So we have organization.

But they're equal in God's eyes.

They each have their role, they each have their purpose.

For the inferior of woman is nothing more than what Satan has done so beautifully to cause the women's movement, the women's lib movement, and all for one purpose, and that is to destroy the home.

And he's doing a good job.

A masterful job, really.

So, but there's another primary reason God planned the creation of woman.

Now notice in verse 18, for him, for who?

For man, for Adam.

Adam.

Helper.

I want you to say this.

It's woman's.

Now, this is where the women's lib will crucify me when I say this.

I believe this with all my heart, especially from the word of God, right here in verse 18.

And I, hey, here it is.

A companionship by the woman being the partner man.

It's woman's primary function on earth is to come alongside the man and help the man build a godly home.

Now, see, that is not politically correct today.

That is not what you see in our society today.

But that's the that's God's pattern.

Is that not?

I know it's getting quiet.

I'm telling you, that's what God said.

Look at it, read it yourself.

Verse 18.

What does he say?

The Lord God said, It's not good that man should be alone.

I will make him a help comparable to him.

For his, hey, for the purpose of coming alongside and helping him build a home.

And that brings me to the third thought here.

The first two humans, the man and and woman, Adam and Eve, were to be the parents of the human race.

They were the first parents of the whole human race.

They were to be companions to live and work together as partners, helping each other every way they could.

This is the one of the most, I think, major points or revelations God is making in this passage.

Here it is.

Man and woman are to be companions to each other, true companions, living and working together as one family, as God's family.

The human race is to live together in peace, in the love, joy, and peace of a family.

That's it.

That's it.

It's beautifully seen right here.

That's it.

There it is.

Boy, have we so missed it.

No.

Well, yes, because we haven't been taught, but we've also missed it because of Satan's sin.

It is God's plan for man and woman to help each other.

But let me tell you what that means.

That requires, one, the willingness to help.

You and I got to be willing to help each other.

We got to be willing to help each other.

And then secondly, the willingness to receive and accept the offer of help.

Amen.

Galatians 6 2 fits perfectly here.

Bear ye one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.

So fulfill the plan of God.

As ye have opportunity, do good to all men, but especially of those of the household of faith.

Galatians 6 10, especially for husbands and wife.

That's what he's talking about.

And then my favorite passage of scripture, Ecclesiastes chapter 4, verses 9 through 12, and this will be the basis for our teaching of God's triangle.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–12

Look at what he says in Ecclesiastes chapter 4, verses 9 through 12.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–12

Two, these were Susan and my honeymoon verses, our marriage verses when we got married 35 wonderful years ago.

Two are better than one.

Because they have a great reward, watch, for their labor, for the labor of building God's home, replenishing the earth, having authority over the earth and the animals.

Verse 10 for if they fall, one will lift up his companion.

But woe to him who is alone when he falls.

Wow, that's pretty powerful, isn't it?

We have each other because we're gonna go down.

We're gonna go down, but we need help.

We need comfort, we need support, we need security, we need love, we need to be babied sometimes.

No, Susan's not too good at that.

And I'm not real good at it either.

But we're trying to get better.

But but but we need that.

Caretakers, yes.

For hey, and then look at what it says in verse 11.

And again, if two lighted down together, they will keep warm, but how can one be warm alone?

Well, that's good.

I don't need to talk on me any further about that one.

Verse 12.

The one may be overpowered by another two can withstand him, and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

There's the triangle.

Man and woman and God.

Can I get an amen?

That's it.

But in order for the triangle to work, to defeat Satan's triangle, we've got to understand our roles and the purpose of the man and the purpose of the woman, and we'll see more about that next week, too.

But here we see he, hey, there's no record, too, on uh in the Word of God that shows any better than right here the purpose of God's family.

It's powerful.

It's powerful.

Now, let me interject here a thought.

Before God brought Eve to Adam, hey, he was fellowshipping with God.

Amen?

He had fellowship with God.

So it wasn't like he was a nervous breakdown before God sent Eve.

What I'm saying is, you may be here today and you you're not married, or you're divorced and you're not married.

Hey, don't feel like, because a lot of times when we you hear messages like this, which you don't hear them very often anymore, the home in hell is not preached on me anymore because Satan's done such a masterful job in destroy the home and disguising hell that there is no hell.

But I'm here to tell you, it's very important that we understand that, hey, God's triangle is the key to building God's home.

And as we build God's home, it's also, but the tendency is when you hear message like this, you feel like, oh, well, what about me?

I'm useless, I'm by myself.

No.

Adam was fine.

He was doing a great job.

He was fulfilled, he had God.

So what I'm saying, if you're there, hey, you just hang in there and you put God first in your life.

You keep him first, and if God wants a companion, and hey, he wants you to be married, he'll send the right one.

What happens is you try to go ahead of God and you get the wrong one.

And I'd rather have no one than the wrong one.

Can I get an amen?

Amen.

Wait on God.

In fact, he says, Lo, I'm with you always, even until the end of the world.

So God's with you.

He says in Exodus 33, 14, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give you rest.

A home should have rivers of communication and sharing running totally through it.

The number one cause of divorce today in a marriage is communication.

Number two, finance.

So there ought to be communication.

Companionship does mean communication because you know you can live in a home and still be lonely.

You can be in a group of people and still be lonely.

Hello, amen.

Note the picture painted by God in verse 18.

God sees and cares.

Notice the second thing.

God saw Adam's need, he fulfilled it.

Now watch this.

If that's true with Adam, it's true with us.

He sees, hey, he sees our needs and he fulfills it.

Can I get an amen?

My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in the glory through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4.19.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

So number one, we see the importance of God planned the first home.

God, hey, planned the first woman.

God planned the first man.

But number two, let's look at the second thing.

Man's need for woman.

See, we don't understand this.

And I really didn't.

And God's taught me some things in this message that I'd really never thought about and never really seen until now in this passage of scripture.

Now notice, first of all, he switches from God's decision to create woman to God's creation of animals and Adam naming the animals, instructing man to name the animals.

Now, why did he do that?

Well, there's three reasons, I think.

Why did he make such a drastic change?

He talks about the woman, talks about the man's need for woman, and then all of a sudden he starts naming animals.

He says, Adam starts naming animals.

That just didn't make sense to me.

Well, but he tells us as I begin to look at it.

God needed to emphasize to Adam a critical fact.

He is the creator of all man's companions.

Amen.

God is the creator of all things.

And then secondly, but all right, if you believe that, now watch this.

This is where I think Satan wins.

If you believe, do you believe God's the creator of all companions?

Say yes.

Amen.

You really believe that?

Well, if that's the case, and I'll put me a little note here.

Here's the key then.

Man had to depend upon God to give him the companion who would be a perfect partner for him.

If we believe that God is the creator of companions, then we have to believe and put our faith in that God can bring the right companion to us.

Can I get an amen?

That's the purpose there.

Is that not good?

But we got to let God do it and not us do it.

That's powerful.

Very powerful.

Every man and woman should depend upon God to give them the very companion they need.

Philippians 4.19.

He will supply that need.

Then notice the second thing.

To show man that his great need for woman for a companion, hey, was so important that that companion had to be like himself.

Now, what I mean by that, same nature.

She was created out of man, not dust.

Amen?

Big difference.

She was created out of man, not dust.

The animals were created by God, then man was created by God out of the dust, and then woman was created, hey, by God from the real but man.

That means she's prime real, ladies and gentlemen.

Amen.

You said, well, what does that make us, Pastor?

Well, dust balls, I guess.

Ooh, that's not good.

My wife uses that when she does ladies' retreats, and then the men come and say, Do you know what your wife said?

I said, No, I don't want to know.

Now watch this.

When Adam realizes the need of him being without a companion, hey, can you imagine what took place?

Can you imagine as he's finishing naming the animals?

There he is.

Giraffe.

Elephant.

Dog.

Cat.

And he goes down, down, down, down.

And he sees them partnered up.

The partner, you know, they have partners and they're just they're they're just together.

They're they're excited.

And they just keep coming through.

Keep coming through.

And then I don't know how long it took him to name it.

It took him a little while.

But he did it pretty quick.

Did it in a day.

That's moving, guys.

Elephant, cat, dog, too, choo, chew.

But can you imagine?

And then he gets by and hey, to his the end, and he says, Man, I'm where's my companion?

Where's my helpmate?

Where what?

I mean, I mean, I like animals, but my goodness, they don't talk back to me, they don't talk to me.

Somebody said that's good.

Somebody said the reason dogs.

I better not say that one shit.

That dog's man's best friend.

He wags his tail and not his tongue.

I shouldn't have said that.

Well, I've got to get us laughing a little bit.

Y'all looking awful solemn this morning.

Amen.

I knew it.

I know, man.

I mean it.

I know.

And the wives are just screaming.

Yeah.

Keep preaching, preaching.

Keep preaching.

But now, but can you imagine?

And then all of a sudden, God sees his, there's a yearning desire in his heart to have a companion.

Where's my companion?

He's really desiring for a companion.

God sees it, God knows it.

God knows what he needs.

And all of a sudden, there's Eve.

After he puts him to sleep, by the way, that's the first surgery in the Bible.

Right there.

God, the first surgery in the Bible.

Puts him asleep, takes a rebout, and then when he wakes up, guess what?

Who's standing there looking at him when he wakes up?

Can you get the picture?

Can you see the excitement?

He sees nothing but stinking animals, and now there's this beautiful creature called woman.

I think he's in woman.

Ha! Woo! Yes, now you're talking, Lord.

Hallelujah.

I bet he had a spell.

Amen.

I guarantee you, we get to heaven, I'm gonna ask Adam.

What was that first thought?

Those are the things I think about when I get to heaven.

Yeah, what was that?

What was it like?

God put Adam to sleep and took a rib from him.

A deep sleep.

That word there means a very deep sleep.

God created a woman from the rib of Adam.

The Bible accounts as very simple.

And God performed the surgery, he put him to sleep, and I meant created woman.

Now, why did he do that?

Why did he create woman?

That's a question I've never seen before.

I've never answered this.

I've been studying scripture a long time, but I've never seen this before.

Susan asked me, He said, Well, why was I created?

I said, You gotta wait till Sunday morning.

I'm not telling you.

So here it is.

Why would God not just form woman out of the dust of the ground like he did man?

Been very simple, wouldn't it?

Okay, man, woman.

Why did God use the rib of a man instead of the dust of the earth?

Isn't that a good question?

Why?

Well, let me tell you what I came up with scripturally.

Careful study of this passage answers that.

Several beautiful and meaningful reasons.

Number one, woman came out of man's need.

That's important.

Men, say this with me.

I need my wife.

Say that with me, men.

I need my wife.

Amen.

I need her.

God sent her.

Ladies, did you know you are God sent to your husband?

Ladies, say this to me.

I am sent to my husband.

Ready?

I am sent to my husband.

Now, some of y'all didn't smile when you said that.

Think about it.

God sent you.

Rosemary, God sent you to IV.

Candy, God sent you to clay.

Susan was sent to me.

Especially in my situation.

Desperately sent.

I just lost my first wife, and God sent her to me.

Number two, woman was to be the object, now watch, of man's cleaving and leaving.

Man's cleaving and leaving.

Woman was made out of man's being in order to cause a natural clinging.

Look at verse 24 in chapter 2, where he says, Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Now we'll talk more about that.

In other words, there has to be a division of authority.

No longer does the man, I meant the woman, hey, look to her father or mother for care.

She looks to her husband for care.

Can I get an amen?

We had a youth pastor and his wife.

His wife had a flat tire, and the first person she called was her daddy.

Because daddy had always fixed things and done things.

So she called her daddy.

And it really got our youth pastor very upset because she didn't call him.

I'm your caretaker.

You know, I take care of you.

I'm here to protect you.

I'm your I'm your husband.

I'm your leader.

Look to me.

Now, here's the thing.

It wasn't that our youth pastor wanted to change the tire.

But he wanted to feel like he was needed to change the tire.

He may have even said, Well, why don't you call your dad?

But at least give us that opportunity.

Amen.

You don't understand that that parrots, we parrots, now I'm fixing really good us.

We can be a problem to our hey our children after they get married if we're not careful.

We can intrude too much.

Amen.

We really can.

Let me give you a good example.

Boy, I'm getting right down nitty-gritty.

Christmas.

Holidays.

Some of you grew up in a home where every holiday your parents expected you to be at their house.

Now they married and they got their kids and they want to be at their house.

And you get upset and you keep throwing guilt on them.

And then the husband and in in like for me it was guys because I had daughters.

They start saying, Well, we want to go home to mom.

Mom wants us to go home and all that.

And then he wants to go home to his.

Next thing you know, holidays become a war instead of a blessing and a happiness.

So what are you to do?

You're to do what's going to kill you, but you do it.

You let them have their own Christmas, their own holidays first.

Or you decide to just go to their house, like we decided.

We ask first.

Do you get it?

You see what I'm trying to tell you?

We're to be comfort to our kids, not a hindrance.

Can I get an amen?

You don't have to have it your way all the time.

It's now their time to build their home, their memories, their lives.

Yeah, but I'm the grandparents.

I understand that.

But this is what I'm talking about cleaving and leaving.

They establish their own home.

Number three, the woman also becomes one flesh with man.

Identical natures.

But each, hey, identical natures that stand counterpart to one another.

Verses 22 and 23.

I mean, we're the we have the that same nature.

She's made, and we're made of each other.

I never thought about that like that.

We're made of each other.

What oneness.

And then number four, woman, hey, she came out of man's flesh.

Both would be cherished and nurtured the other.

No person hates his own flesh.

I thought about that in the New Testament.

Hey, the very opposite is true.

He cherishes, protects, and cares for his own flesh.

That's what we ought to do for each other.

We ought to care and take care of each other.

That's it.

That's what it says.

Verse 23.

And listen to what he says in Ephesians 5, 28 and 29.

So ought men to love their wives of their own bodies.

He that loves his wife loves himself, for no man ever yet hated his own flesh, but nourish and cherish it, even as the Lord the church.

That's it.

Right there.

Ephesians 5, 28 and 29.

And then number 5, woman.

Now you're going to love this lady.

Get ready to shout.

Ha ha.

Woman is the glory and crown of creation, the being who brings more refinement to the world than any other creature.

Is that not?

Amen, ladies.

Let me show you this.

1 Corinthians 11:7.

1 Corinthians 11:7

Look at what it says.

For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, for as much as he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man.

Wow.

Think about that.

She is the glory and crown of both man and nature.

We saw that also in Genesis 1, 20 through 25.

The animals were just created by God.

After their creation, man was created out of the dust of the ground.

And then after the creation of man, there was a more excellent and more glory than the animals.

The woman was made after the man, taken out of his real, the excellent and more glorious creation.

Wow.

In other words, the woman brings refinement to us.

Can I get an Amen?

Improved model.

Very much so.

Not an improved, a better model.

Amen?

And then the sixth thing, woman was created from the rib, taken from the very chest of man.

And watch this, what I saw.

And this is so good.

That which protects his heart.

Can you imagine?

The ribs right here.

The ribs go over the heart.

It could not have been taken from a more cherished, protected place than that of man.

That which protects the heart of man.

That which protects the heart of man.

You're for his protection, his care, ladies, but at the same token, because you came from the rib close to our heart, you ought to be our greatest desire, our greatest heartbeat ought to be you.

Is that not good?

Is that not even better than romance?

That is romance.

Amen.

Do you see that?

Somebody said, I've never heard this before.

That's it.

Is it not there?

It's right here.

God's opening this beautiful picture of what a home ought to be, what a relationship between a man and woman ought to be.

They ought to be so unified, so in love, so one that they can't help but portray a home that's love and joy and peace and happiness and helping and growing and joy together.

And there's nothing they can't accomplish together.

I wouldn't be where I am today.

My ministry would have never been what I've been and what I've accomplished today if it wasn't for Susan's help.

And I know David wouldn't be where he was today if it wasn't for Christie.

I hope he heard that, Wilson.

Look at him, he's waving.

Yeah, you know.

But it's two.

Two become one.

What a beautiful picture.

There's a heart relationship so deep that Satan can't destroy it.

And then number four.

Man and woman were brought together by God.

Adam was all alone.

There was no creature who had his flesh in nature, no one whom he could share life with.

And then God brought Eve.

I want you to notice something.

The union and relationship between man and woman right here was wrought by God.

God created both man and woman.

God brought man and woman together.

God established the law of marriage.

So, who established the marriage relationship?

God.

If couples that do go into marriage, which now they're just living together, but when they understand their marriage relationship, they would understand the true meaning of their relationship with each other.

Why in the world would they go into it so half-heartedly?

Does that make sense?

This now you understand when they say from to death do us part is because it's such a union with each other.

God literally took the woman and gave her to man.

Out of man's heart.

Well, out of man's rib that covered his heart.

Wow.

What intimacy.

What commitment.

Woman was equal, number two, to man in being and person.

She's equal.

Physically, mentally, spiritually.

She's taken out of man.

Thirdly, man was created first.

We understand that.

There's an order in a family.

Hey, there's an order in the family.

You have the man, hopatasso.

And by the way, the Greek word there, hopatasso, doesn't mean he's more superior.

It means that there's a rank.

It's kind of like the army.

You got generals, you got colonels, you got majors.

It's not that personally they're they're more uh they're better or or more or less inferior.

It's just that there's a rank.

And we have a rank, and God's asked the uh God's putting the man to be the leader.

But that doesn't mean dictator, and that doesn't mean just ruling with an iron fist.

It means that you co-equally together submit, not just the wife submitting to the husband, but it says in Ephesians 5, and you'll see that in your Bible study.

But it also means you submit to one another.

You're caring for one another.

You know, no one has authority in a relationship, married relationship, if they are co-hey, equal and co-partners.

There's you you don't have an issue with authority.

Hello.

The only time you have a problem with authority is when you want your way, man.

Well, I'm the head of this home.

Yeah, but she's the next.

She turns you anywhere she wants to.

Hello.

You okay?

It's a co-partnership.

Hey, here it is.

Here's the thought.

The order and relationship between man and woman are clearly shown in the scriptures.

Here it is.

Woman was created for man.

Hey, woman was created out of man, and woman was presented to man.

Is that not good?

That's it.

Right there.

They desperately needed each other in the functions.

In Ephesians 5, you'll see it, verse 22 and 25.

And marriage is established as the first institution.

Now watch this, number four, upon the earth.

The first institution established for society, verse 24.

Now I want you to understand something right here.

As we leave our parrots and join together and start building our own home, it's the cleaving, the leaving, we become one flesh.

And we must depend upon God to meet our needs totally.

So, if we are going to build God's home, God's way, there's only one way.

His way.

Amen.

His way.

Except, and that's this is leading in to next week.

Except the Lord build the house they labor in vain that build.

He's got to build the home.

God wants a voice in choosing.

Hey, and by the way, you know what I see here?

Here's the key thing that's going to be hard for a lot of young couples or young, should I say, singles.

And this is it.

If I read this correctly, if the way I've studied this and the way I was taught, God brought the woman to the man.

God provided for the need of Adam.

There's two lessons here.

One, we must depend upon God to meet our need for a wife or for a godly companionship.

We need to do that.

God wants a voice in choosing our companion and spouse.

So ought men to love their wives of their own bodies.

He that loves his wife loves himself.

Marriage is honorable and all, and the bed undefilable, but whoremongers and adulterers, God will judge.

Whoso finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor of the Lord.

Proverbs 18, 22.

Wow, that's awesome.

And then the last thing, and I'm through.

Number five.

Man and woman were created innocent without shame.

They sensed no guilt or shame whatsoever.

There was no sin, guilt, or shame.

Nothing whatsoever to hide from each other nor from God.

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

Oh, amen.

He says, Philippians 2.15, that ye may be blameless, harmless, the sons of God without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among what?

Whom ye shine as lights in the world.

Do you know one of the greatest witness, witnesses, and testimony today in our society would be a godly home?

Can you imagine how powerful a godly home would be?

Wow.

Let us ask God to help us at CCW raise up godly homes.

Help us to raise up godly Christians.

Young people, teenagers, high school students.

Ask God to send you a godly person, a godly maid one day.

Don't let Satan take all the worldliness, all the traps, all the wickedness that he so craftedly puts together as a stumbling block and cause you to mess up.

Don't allow the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life, hey, destroy your relationship with someone.

Now watch this.

That's why when they were pure and innocent, you know why they were naked and not ashamed?

They were pure and innocent.

You can't go around, listen to me, folks.

You can't sleep with everybody and anybody and then decide to get married and think when you walk down that aisle that you're innocent and not ashamed.

Can I get an owe me, amen, something?

You can't do it.

You gotta keep your body pure, you gotta keep your mind pure, and that's what's Satan's triangle, one of his key pieces of his triangle is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of light.

The love of the world.

That's it.

He so distracts us from the purpose of God's beautiful blueprint for marriage.

What a blueprint.

What a blueprint.

Right here.

Here it is.

The very God of peace sanctify you holy.

And I pray, God, your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 5 23.

God established the family as the first institution of society.

Now watch this.

And I'll close with this.

That was the first institution.

Notice what he establishes next.

The tabernacle.

The church.

And then notice what he establishes.

The government.

Now watch this.

As goes the family, goes the church.

And as goes the church, goes the family.

I mean, yeah.

The government, I'm sorry.

As goes the family, goes the church.

And as goes the church, goes the government.

No wonder we see what we see in America today.

Now you see the chaos, don't you?

Now you understand it, don't you?

Here's the answer.

Why?

Why is it happening right here?

Because Satan has destroyed the family.

He's destroyed it.

There's no example.

Hey, there's no structure.

There's no order.

When there's chaos in the streets and nothing's being done about it.

Where does that come from?

How did that all happen?

Right here.

The destruction of the home.

That's how it happened.

There's no authority.

There's no discipline.

Why?

Because it starts right here.

Right here.

Can you imagine an ill institution of society finds the roots in the family?

The home gave rise to the government, to worship, to education, to health care, to everything.

Wow.

Isn't that good?

That's where it came, right here.

We just saw it.

We just saw it right here.

Genesis 1, Genesis 2.

Can I ask you to do something?

How many of you here are married?

Raise your hand.

Wow.

Love it.

Okay?

All of us that are married, can I ask you to join with me to start praying every day for the home of our church people?

Of CCW's church people.

Can I get you to start praying with me for the relationships, the homes, the husbands and wives and their children of our church specifically?

Pray for that.

Can I do that?

Because Satan is attacking.

He's attacking every one of us every day.

And secondly, will you pray that God will make us, you, your home, me, my home, an example for other couples to see?

Can you do that?

And if you're here and you're single today, don't, I love you and God loves you.

And keep that intimate relationship with God.

You just, he'll fulfill that need.

And we know Paul was never married, so don't get down on yourself.

The great apostle Paul was never married.

He said it was better for him to do the work of God than to be, to, than to be married.

And not that you wasn't trying to belittle those that were married.

He just said he had a work to do that he knew, hey, it would not be conducive for a family.

He knew that.

So God fulfilled his need, fulfilled his purpose.

So not everyone may ever be married.

And don't think that you're bad or you're you're wrong or something's wrong with you.

That's not true.

God, if God's called you to be single and to do his work, to God be the glory.

Can I get an amen?

But for the majority of us, God has called us to build a home.

A godly home.

To raise children in a godly way.

To love for our children to see how we love each other.

One thing Susan I promised our kids.

One, we would never use the word divorce.

Not once.

Murder, maybe, but not divorce.

No, we never did.

We never did.

But I tell you what, we did do.

We made sure that our kids knew that we loved each other.

And about, I guess about seven years, five years ago, Stephanie wrote Susan a letter.

Because all her friends, their homes had been disintegrated, divorced, and bad situations.

And you know what she said?

Thank you, mom and dad, for loving each other and loving us and staying together.

Wow.

Wow.

And let me tell you, it's it's even with Christians, it's still a battle.

Can I get an amen?

It's a battle.

Satan's triangle attacks us every day.

But we've got to learn why we're here, why, why God established a home and why he brought us our helpmate.

And now that we can train our children to be godly kids.

You train godly kids, they won't be rioting in the streets.

Can I get an amen?

That's it.

All that you're seeing right now on the news every day, and it's horrible, is right here.

Right here.

And I'll tell you where it comes from.

Genesis chapter 3.

Satan himself, with the Satan's triangle destroying the home.

And most people now understand what I'm saying.

And I am no way condemning anybody that's been through a divorce.

Don't you take that right that way?

Don't you dare.

But what I am saying, now that you, if you are remarried, take the home that God's given you now and make it a haven.

Can I get an amen?

And do it right.

And understand why you're together.

That's God's plan.

God created the first home.

God created the first marriage relationship.

Thank you, Lord, this morning.

Thank you.

For tough love, tough truth.

But great truth, beautiful truth, fantastic truth.

You're here this morning, you don't know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior.

And by the way, you can't do it God's way in the home if you don't know Him.

If you're not saved, you got to get saved.

You need to know, hey, you need to be a Christian in order to have a godly home.

So could I invite you watching streaming right now online?

If you're not a Christian, would you right now, right where you are, bow your head and say, Dear Jesus, I know that I'm a sinner.

And I can't save myself, but right now, dear Jesus, I'm asking you to come into my heart and my life and save me and change me.

Thank you, Lord, for saving me.

And now take me and use me if you're a woman to be the companion to my husband.

If you're a husband, husband to love your wife like Christ loves the church?

So, Father, we pray for that.

In Jesus' name, with every head bowed, every eye closed.
