Rapture...then what

Revelation chapter four.

All right, the rapture is going to take place.

The next prophetic event on God's calendar in prophecy is the rapture of the church.

In fact, he tells us the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel.

And the dead in Christ shall rise first, and then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up with them in the clouds, or actually caught up in the air to meet the Lord in the clouds.

Wherefore, comfort one another with these words.

1 Thessalonians 4, 16 through 18.

And then we talked about last week, and I had a lot of response from last week, about the rewards at the beam of judgment seat for the Christians.

And that the beam of judgment seat was just for Christians.

Because for the lost, for those that aren't saved, it'll be at the great white throne judgment at the end of the millennial.

And by the way, next week is the message on the millennium.

So, anyway, but then after the rewards, and we're gonna see today what we do with those crowns, those five crowns that we have the opportunity to win.

What we do with them.

And we said last week, so ago, we we cast them at his feet.

In fact, you're gonna see that in this chapter in Revelation chapter 4, verse 10.

But we're gonna dissect this whole chapter because it tells us what takes place, the rapture, the beam of judgment scent, and then what?

What do we do right after we stand before the beam of judgment scent?

We're rewarded, then what goes on?

Well, in Revelation chapter 4, what a powerful passage of scripture it is.

Revelation 4 · chapter mention

We see that John's hearing the sound of a trumpet and of a great voice calling him up to heaven, and immediately the transition is made from the earth to heaven, and John is then given a view of what heaven will be like.

In other words, I have this question asked to me all the time.

And look at verse one.

You really actually see a beautiful picture of, I think, kind of what the rapture is going to be like.

He says, and after this, I looked, and behold, a door was opened in heaven, and the first voice which I heard was as if it was of a trumpet, talking with me, which said, Come up hither, come up hither.

I will show thee things which must be hereafter.

Man, is that not a forerunning, I think, of uh the rapture of the church, the verses I just quoted to you, 1 Thessalonians 4, 16 through 18.

The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, the trumpet's gonna sound, and then we're gonna be caught up.

Just like that.

And so here we see, I think, a uh really the view of what the rapture's gonna kind of be like.

So John could pin it down for us and give us a view.

Hey, while we're here on this earth, to get us excited about what's gonna happen when we're taken out of here.

And I kind of believe the rapture's pretty close myself, amen.

I really do.

So that will be a thrilling experience.

However, the question that is often asked by most people regarding heaven is this what will we do when we get there?

Well, I believe this text gives us some of the answers.

And I kind of put it down like this.

I'm in heaven now.

What?

Good question.

So let's see what takes place.

Now, does everyone have an outline?

Do you have your outline?

Anybody does not have an outline because we're getting ready to start filling in our outline.

Anyone?

Everybody got their outlines?

Okay, good.

So the first thing we want to look at in verses two through six, and I love this, I really do, is what takes place after we get to heaven.

Look at verse two through six.

And immediately I was in the spirit, and behold, a throne set in heaven, and one sat on the throne, and he who sat there was like a jasper and a Sardis stone in appearance, and there was a rainbow around the throne in appearance like an emerald.

Around the throne were 24 thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting clothed in white robes, and they had crowns of gold on their heads, and from the throne proceeded lightning, thunders, hey, and voices.

Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal, and in the midst of the throne and around the throne were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

Whoa! Now, now I don't know about you.

Whew! That sounds like an exciting opening.

It really does.

So the first thing I want us to look at, let's examine the scenery of heaven.

First of all, A, we can see the sovereign God in verses 2 and 3.

Of course, the most significant feature in heaven, the centerpiece of that whole city, will be God Himself.

Oh, the one man, hey, that no man on this earth could see, according to Exodus 33, 20, will be visible for all citizens of that place in heaven to see.

We'll actually be standing there, being able to see God Himself.

Man, that's that's awesome.

It really just blesses my heart to see that.

That one day you and I are gonna be able to see the God that we love and the God that we've worshiped and the God that saved us face to face.

Can you believe that?

Wow! Unbelievable.

Now look at a few characteristics of this unbelievable God.

First of all, he says a throne.

Look at it.

A throne set.

This speaks of his government.

Our God rules an everlasting kingdom.

His kingdom is established and stable, and no one can overthrow it.

Aren't you glad to know one day we're gonna be, hey, in a government that there'll be no lying, there'll be no cheating, there'll be no stealing, there be no deception.

God help us.

Well, one day we'll have the true president, the true master, the true King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and his name is the Elohim.

The I am that I am.

Wow.

What stability! But also look at the symbolism that John tries to do, and he really tries to do the impossible, and he tries to describe God.

Look at what he says: the Jasper stone.

Like Jasper Stone's like a diamond, it's brilliant and clear, yet hard, inflexible, and firm.

It really is.

It speaks of the moral law of God.

Aren't you?

You know what's wrong with America?

You know why we're we're we're disintegrating?

Because we have no moral laws any longer.

We have no moral laws.

We have no absolute truth any longer.

We have none.

But I got news for you.

There's a God's, just like the world or the earth has moral laws, you know?

They really do.

And what is it?

For example, the law of gravity.

You throw something up, guess what?

It's coming back down.

Can I get an amen?

The law of thermodynamics.

These laws are fixed and unbreakable unless God chooses to break them.

But God's moral law is just and fixed.

He says in Psalms 119, verse 89, Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven.

Psalms 119:89

Ladies and gentlemen, I'm telling you, God's word is real.

And God's laws are real.

And we can't break those consistently and get away with it.

You can't do it.

You, hey, be not deceived.

God is not mocked.

Whatsoever man soweth, that shall he reap.

Galatians 6, 7.

And look at the Sardis stone.

Some call it sardine, the Sardis stone.

It's red, flashing, fiery, and it speaks of the holiness of God and of his anger against sin.

Folks, listen to me.

Everybody said, Well, God's love.

God is love, and God goes to the extremes to do everything he can for you through his grace and through his mercies for you to accept him as Lord and Savior.

But I'm here to tell you, he will not allow sin to come into his presence.

He will judge sin.

So we see just as fire on the sacrificial altars in the Old Testament of Israel were never to be extinguished.

The Bible says that in Hebrews 12, 29, that God's eye, excuse me, God's eyes are like fire.

And the reason they are like fire, they penetrate and they, hey, deal with sin in our life.

That's why you can't hide anything from God.

Hey, hey, his eyes and his word penetrates to the bottom parts of our inner soul and heart and reveals what we really are.

Can I get an o' me?

Hebrews 4 12 tells us that for the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the biting of the soul, of the joints and the morrow, and is the discerner of the thoughts and the intent of the heart.

Amen.

God says in 1 Peter 1:15, be ye holy in all manner of behavior, because it is written, God says, Be holy, for I am holy.

1 Peter 1:15

And I thought a minute, these stones can also speak of the holiness of God.

The pure white speaks of the holiness of God.

And it also speaks of the redemption, the red.

For while God is holy, he also hates sin.

But now let me tell you what else I found out about these two stones.

They're also the first and last stones.

Now listen to this.

In the breastplate of the Old Testament high priest.

Exodus 28, 15 through 30.

The Sardis stone represents the tribe of Reuben.

His name means watch.

Behold a son.

The Jasper stone represents the tribe of Benjamin, whose name means the son of the right hand.

In these two names we see the portrait of the Savior Jesus Christ.

And here's what we see: we see two things.

We see his humanity and we see his divinity.

And when you go to Isaiah chapter 9, verse 6, he says, and unto us a child is born, that's his humanity.

Isaiah 9:6

Unto us a son is given, that's his divinity.

In other words, we see that God was as much, hey, Jesus was as much man as he was, hey, anything, but he was also as much God as God ever has been.

So we see that he is so real and so personal, but he's the God man.

Wow.

And that was represented also there in the breastplate of the Old Testament high priest.

These stones right here picture the Father's right hand.

So well, I mean, these stones, I'm sorry, picture the completed work of the Lord Jesus Christ for sinners.

In other words, he was as much man, and that's why he knew.

And everything, watch this, everything you and I go through, he knows what we're going through.

He even not only knows what we're going through, he knows what we're feeling, because he was as much man as we are.

But then nothing's impossible with my God.

Luke 137.

Why?

Because he was God too.

So he's able to take us through every trial, every tribulation, everything that we face, and tell us that we are victors.

We are victors.

Wow.

So this is John's trying to describe all this to us.

And then the third thing we see, look, he says his serenity.

An emerald rainbow.

Look at it.

Look at the rainbow.

Encircles the throne.

The color speaks of serenity and calm.

The rainbow is a symbol of mercy.

I love what Lamentations 3 says.

His compassions fail not.

Can I get an amen?

His mercies are new every morning.

Great is our faithfulness.

Oh, the mercy of God, folks.

Aren't you glad that we have the mercy of God?

Aren't you glad we don't get what we really deserve?

Hallelujah.

It's all because he is loving mercy.

In fact, in Noah's day, I was thinking about Noah as I was researching this chapter.

Because it's really an unbelievable chapter, even though it's almost unbelievable.

But notice what he says.

And Noah, I found out as I was back in the flood.

You know, Noah only saw half the rainbow.

And I wondered why.

And then I thought, that's it.

We don't see the whole rainbow here on this earth.

We only see a portion of it.

Because a true rainbow makes us, I think, if I research it correctly, a whole big circle.

And we usually never see but half the rainbow.

And you know why?

Because we're not home yet.

But one I'm about to have a run of spell.

But in heaven, we're gonna see the whole rainbow, folks.

We're gonna understand as he understands.

We're gonna understand.

We're gonna why this happened, why that happened.

Right now, we we hey, who can know the mind of Christ?

Romans 11, 33, I mean 11, 34 and 33 says the ways, the judgments, the directions, and the leading of God are past finding out.

You you we don't understand.

We only see half the picture.

But one day, 1 Corinthians 13, 12, we'll know as he knows.

Now that gets me excited.

Amen.

Amen.

There'll be peace.

When the storm has passed, the rainbow appears.

One day in heaven the storms will have passed forever, and we will be at peace in the city where all the mysteries of life will be made clear.

Can I get an Amen?

Then look at letter B in your notes.

You can see verse 4.

Look at verse 4.

You can see the saints.

You can see the saints.

Around the throne were 24 thrones, and on the thrones I saw 24 elders sitting clothed in white robes, and they had crowns of gold on their heads.

Wow.

Heaven is not just a place for the redeemer, it's also a place for the redeemed.

Can I get an amen?

Amen.

And these 24 elders are a picture of the redeemed of all the ages.

12 represents the Old Testament saints.

And 12 represents the church age saints.

That's us.

That's us.

Now notice the position.

They are seated.

Look at it.

They too occupy thrones, which indicates that they are rulers too.

Revelations 1.6 tells us that.

The fact that they are sitting, hey, lets us know that they're at rest, they're at peace.

Oh, praise God.

Anybody got any problems here this morning?

Half of us?

You mean half of you don't have problems?

Oh, are you in for a rude awakening?

We all have problems.

Amen?

I mean, and sometimes those problems are pretty tough problems, difficult problems.

For us, sometimes we think they're unsolving problems.

But one day, folks, there'll be no problems in heaven.

We'll be at rest.

We'll be at rest.

We'll be having a grand time.

We really will.

And then look at the purity.

The elders are robed in white raiment.

You know what that means?

Holiness and purity?

Thank God the day is coming when the saints of the Lord will be in his presence free from the stain and blight of sin.

Can you imagine living in a place where you don't have to worry about sin?

I don't know about you.

I have to fight sin every day.

Am I the only one?

No.

Every day I get up.

You know my first fight?

I don't want to get out of bed.

The older I get, the more I want to stay there.

But but there's a fight going on every day.

I don't want to go to work.

I don't want to do that.

I don't do I have to be nice to my wife this morning.

I didn't appreciate what she did last night.

Do I have to get up and be nice?

I don't want to be nice.

But I mean, think about that.

All the things that we're faced with every morning, every day, every night.

It's going to be a rest.

There's going to be a peace.

And then look at the prize.

The crown of gold there in verse 4.

Now, this is awesome.

The crown is not like the crown that Jesus wears in Revelations 19, 12, where he talks about his eyes being this fire, and he has the crown of gold upon his crown's plural upon his head.

The Greek word for Jesus' word crowns in Revelations 19, 12, is the word diadem.

And it literally refers to a king's crown.

That's what it means.

Crown the king.

But now the elders, the word crowned here, that's in reference to us, is the word Stephanos.

Stephanos.

In fact, it's where we got my youngest daughter's name from.

Stephanie.

Stephanos, which means the crown one, the victor.

Remember last week we talked about that.

We, those that endure and those that get the crown of life, the rejoicing crown, all the crowns.

We are victors, those that complete the race.

Hey, they don't give up, they don't quit on God.

We're the victors.

So here, hey, we're now receiving our crowns, our victor crown.

Well, actually, we've received them, and we've already, as you're gonna see in a minute, given them back to Jesus at his feet.

But he means when he's talking about we're here, we're in heaven, we're victors.

And it was given to all those who had earned it on the field of battle or in the athletic games.

The five crowns.

There is coming a day when your service for Jesus will be recognized and rewarded.

And we talked about that last week.

And then look at C.

You can see the sights.

Now this gets really, and look at verse 5a.

John speaks of the lightnings and the thunders.

Woo! These point to the Judgment which is about to pour out upon the world.

Heaven is not just a place of glory, but it's also a place where the power of God and his judgment on sin will be displayed as well.

Ladies and gentlemen, there's coming a day that God is going to deal with the lost in a major way.

They may think they're getting away with it, but they're not.

I promise you.

They're not.

They're not at all.

And then D, you can see the Spirit.

Now watch this.

This is going to get you real excited.

The Holy Spirit, who has indwelt us, you meet.

All right, let me let me.

This is exciting.

Once you get saved, once you ask the Holy, I meant, God, the Lord Jesus is coming to your heart.

And you hear me give that prayer every Sunday.

1 Corinthians 12, 13 says, by one Spirit, we're all baptized into one body.

What that means, the Holy Spirit comes into your heart, the third person of the Trinity, and takes up residence in your life.

Amen.

And then he's the person that if you remember in John 14, when Jesus was going away, he said, But I'm not going to leave you comfortless.

I'm going to send my spirit.

Okay?

So he's living in us, he's our comforter.

He leads us.

John says he teaches us, he leads us, he comforts us, he protects us, he's our power, he's everything.

Amen.

And you know it.

Because when you're walking in the spirit, you know it.

And when you're not walking in the spirit, you know it.

You either, hey, when you're not, you're grieved him or you quenched him.

You've not done what he's told you to do, or you don't want to do what he's told you to do.

Hello?

But now, are you ready?

I had never visualized this until me going back through this.

I mean, I know it subconsciously, I knew it.

But when I saw this, I said, I can't believe it.

Yes, yes.

Do you realize?

Look at this, folks.

Please look at this.

Look at verse 5.

Look at verse 5.

And from the throne proceeded lightning, thunder, and voices, seven lamps, which were burning before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

Are you listening to me?

We are literally gonna be able to fellowship with the Holy Spirit of the living God.

Woo! He's no longer in you, he's beside you.

Amen.

Is that not awesome?

We're gonna be having a spell with the spirits.

Wow! Is that not awesome?

Woo! My goodness! And then look at E.

You can see the sea.

Oh, this is on.

You know what?

The whole floor right here when we get there is like crystal.

Is crystal not beautiful?

It's just crystal, it's just everything's just reflective and beautiful.

I mean, oh my goodness.

Crystal, the whole floor.

Unbelievable.

Beautiful.

Beautiful.

Beautiful.

I can't comprehend all that, to be honest with you.

But I tell you what, I'm glad I'm gonna be in it.

I can't wait.

And the second thing this morning.

Somebody say that's good, preacher.

Not only can we examine the scenery, but look at the second thing.

Verses six.

Second part of six through eight.

We can enjoy the sounds of heaven.

Look at it.

And in the middle part of verse six, and in the midst of the throne, and around the throne were four living creatures, full of eyes, front and back.

The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a cat, the third living creature like a face, uh, like a man, and the fours like an eagle, flying eagle.

The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within, and they did not rest day or night, saying, Holy, holy, holy Lord God Almighty, who was and is and is to come.

Wow.

First thing I see is the source of praise here.

John describes four beasts who are engaged in the ministry of praising the Lord.

Look at it.

The four beasts are some type of angelic creatures.

Most of the theologians feel like they're the same ones that are in Isaiah chapter 6, where he's high and lifted up the cherubim.

Isaiah 6 · chapter mention

That's what they think.

Many people have tried to figure out what they are and what they represent.

Listen to this.

Some say that he represents the four gospels.

The lion represents the gospel of Matthew or the gospel of the king.

The calf represents the gospel of Mark or the gospel of the servant.

The man represents the gospel of Luke or the Gospel of the Son, the humanity of the Lord.

The eagle represents the gospel of John or the Gospel of the Son of God.

Others say the beast represents Jesus.

The lion shows him to be the king.

The calf shows him to be a servant.

The man shows his humanity.

The eagle reminds us of his heavenly origin.

Now, since everybody's got their own opinion, I got my opinion.

Okay.

And mine comes from Psalms 148.

And here, would you like to hear my opinion?

Okay.

I believe they represent the totality of creation.

And when you go to Psalms 148, the whole Psalms talks about every living creature, beast, animal, humans, the birds, everything.

Praises God.

Everything.

So here's what I came up with, okay?

The lion represents wildlife.

The calf, domesticated animals.

Can I get an amen for that?

Tell you I was gonna get the dogs in heaven one way or the other.

And then watch.

The man represents intelligent life.

And the eagle represents all the bird life.

This is just creation doing what God created it to do.

Bring glory and honor to him.

Yeah.

So that's mine.

But regardless, woo! It's gonna be exciting.

Because we're gonna be praising him.

He's gonna be leading us in praise and worship.

Benji, you think y'all doing it?

Hey, you buckle up, praise team.

You hadn't seen what you're gonna see there.

It's gonna be unreal.

And then that brings me to be the sound of praise.

Look, they lift their voices in verse 8.

They lift their voices and they praise God for his holiness and for his nature that is changeless.

They glorify him as the I am on the basis alone.

He is worthy of all praise of all men.

And then look at verse 82, the span of the praise.

They rest not day and night, man.

We're gonna have fun just praising God.

Now let me ask something.

You know, I'm I'm worried about some people.

I know everybody thinks I'm crazy, and I am, okay?

And I'm not saying you gotta act like I act.

My wife doesn't act like I act.

Nope.

Sometimes she says, I don't know who he is.

But folks, you gotta get a little excited.

Now you can express it in different ways.

She smiles, she cries, she raises her hand, and I know she's in the third heavens, and she's just having a good time.

And I'm glad she's that way, to be honest with you.

Two of us would kill each other.

But man, I'm amen, I'm high-fine, I'm woo, glory, yes, char, yes.

I wake up with shouting in the morning, she wakes up with that verse that says, kill them if they're wake up with a loud voice.

Blesses his neighbor with a loud voice.

What is it?

Oh, count it to him a curse.

Yeah, that's me.

She's got it memorized.

She quoted it early in our marriage.

Oh, is that not awesome, folks?

Just think about it.

But what I'm trying to say, when you die, if you go to hell, it's not gonna be quiet.

You're gonna hear the screams of all the people being tormented.

Are you hearing me?

But if you die and go to heaven, you're gonna hear all the praising and the shouting and the amen and just all the music that we heard this morning.

It's gonna be awesome.

So I suggest some of you start practicing a little bit.

Hello, you okay out there?

Get a little excited.

I mean, you mean I can do this, preacher?

Amen.

No, you can do this.

Hallelujah! Amen.

It's not gonna bother me.

You said, well, I we we we we like it quiet around here.

I have not seen quite in heaven yet.

I'm serious, I'm not being ugly, and I'm not trying to lamblast you if you you're not you're introverted.

I understand that.

And I don't mean that ugly either.

We you got an extrovert, introverts.

I'm the extrovert, she's the introvert.

And that's why we mix so well.

Somebody has to pull me down every once in a while.

But then sometimes I have to lift her up.

So we work together.

Amen.

So, and by the way, let me just help you here.

You'd rather be praising and shouting than listening to the screaming.

Can I get a own?

And it's gonna be for an eternity.

Woo! It's gonna be great.

Number three, last thing.

Verses nine through eleven.

Woo! You can examine the scenery, you can enjoy the sounds of heaven, the source of the praise, the sound of the praise, the span of the praise.

And then number three, you can exalt the sovereign of heaven.

Verses nine through eleven.

Look at what he says.

You can exalt, what did I say?

I think I missed the sovereign of heaven.

Did I say the sources?

I don't know what I said.

You can exalt the sovereign of heaven.

Man, I'm still thinking about the shouting and the praising and the hey, and do you realize, hey, you're gonna just think about it and you're gonna want to go somewhere and you're there.

Folks, I'm telling you, you ain't seen anything yet.

It's gonna be unbelievable.

All right, remember the 24 elders in verses 9 through 11.

Here's what we see.

Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the 24 elders fall down before him who sit on the throne and worship him, who lives forever and ever.

They cast the crowns, that is the victor, the Stephanos crowns, before the throne, saying, You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for you are created all things, and by your, hey, and by your will they exist and were created.

Here we go.

The 24 elders are a picture of us.

Here's what we'll be doing in heaven.

We'll be worshiping, and there are a few things we can learn about heavenly worship.

Ready?

Number one.

Boy, this is good.

Worship team, watch this.

Your worship will be visible.

When the beasts praise the Lord, the saints will rise from the thrones.

Look at it.

Look, and they will bow before him, they will cast their crowns at his feet, and they will shout praises to the Lord.

And by the way, every time you see these guys in Revelation, this is what they're doing.

Revelations 5, 7, 11, 19.

That's pretty evidence of their visible praise all the way through the book of Revelation.

Praise is something that glorifies God and that points out his worth to others.

Listen to what he says in Hebrews 13, 15.

By him let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God.

Now, watch what he says.

Continually, that is the fruit of our lives, confessing his name.

Let the redeemed, say it with me, let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

Psalms 107, verse 2.

Psalms 107:2

Number B, your worship will be valuable.

It'll be valuable.

I'll tell you how valuable it is.

You're bowing down and you're giving your crowns at his feet.

Your worship's valuable because of all that God's done for you.

And hey, and because he's done it for you, you will, hey, you are obedient to him.

You've been faithful to him here on this earth.

You have been pleasing, and that's the word he uses here.

Pleasing to him.

So you're going to have the opportunity because of your valuable service here on this earth that we talked about last week.

If you missed it, you've got to listen to last week's message.

Listen to it again.

It's the most important message you'll ever listen to because you're going to be rewarded one day for your service here on this earth.

That valuable service, one day you'll have those crowns and you'll be able to bow at his feet, praising him, worshiping, laying the crowns at his feet.

Wow, church.

It'll be valuable.

It'll be valuable.

And then the last thing: your worship will be vocal.

Look at verse 11.

Hey, look at it.

Look at verse 11.

What does he say?

Here it is.

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for thou hast created all things and for thy pleasure, thy pleasure, they are and were created.

We were created for his pleasure.

And when we fulfill his will in our life, listen to me.

When we fulfill his will in our life here on this earth, it is pleasurable to God.

So, hey, here's going to be the invitation this morning.

Here's the question.

Are you and I pleasurable to God?

But notice, you may never see, hey, hey, we will join together praising him.

Who sought us, who bought us, who kept us, and who delivered us for his glory.

We'll praise him for his worth, we'll praise him for his work, and we'll praise him for his will.

Because we fulfill the will of God.

Can I get an amen?

Is that not exciting, Ivan?

Oh my goodness.

I don't know what those beasts are gonna look like.

But I can tell you one thing.

Once you see them, son, you're gonna have a spell.

There's no doubt in my mind.

Everybody laughs at me and my spells.

We all gonna have one.

Happy.

Huh.

The word for the week in my little Saturday morning word for the week.

Praise him in the morning.

That doesn't save you.

All those things are acts of obedience after you've been saved.

And you ought to want to do those things if you really get saved immediately.

Baptism shouldn't be a problem.

Making it public through baptism should not be a problem.

And then you get in, finding a church, well, I can go fishing and worship Jesus.

Ah, okay.

You can worship Jesus anywhere.

I understand.

But don't use that.

We have people right now that are not coming back to church.

And I've heard it over and over again on Facebook and on it, breaking my heart.

Well, I can worship God wherever I am.

There's only one problem with that.

God commands us to come to God's house and worship him as a body of people.

David said, I was glad when they said, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

The word says, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some are, but exhorting one another so much more as you can see the day approaching.
