  1. The Mark chapter 2.

    Mark 2 chapter mention

  2. But that's where we're going in April.

  3. You don't want to miss it.

  4. And you sure don't want to miss Vision Night.

  5. We are so excited about what God is about to do in this 90 acres that God gave us four years ago.

  6. It's unreal what He's about to do.

  7. We've got the soccer fields, soccer leagues going, unbelievable.

  8. Next, we're going to have the basketball gym.

  9. We're going to have volleyball, upward volleyball, upward basketball.

  10. And for us older folks, no, I'm not.

  11. I tell you, the young folks are taking over now.

  12. Pickleball, too, by the way.

  13. We were in a tournament.

  14. Man, they're going crazy over it.

  15. So we're going to have all kinds of outreach means through all the sports that we're going to be doing.

  16. And the t-ball, the uh uh and baseball field hopefully it'll be finished.

  17. We're hoping by summer.

  18. We're trying to get that cranked up and good weather so we can get out there and get that done.

  19. So it's gonna be exciting.

  20. And we want to tell you all about it that night, that evening.

  21. So please be here.

  22. And we're gonna talk about the past, we're gonna talk about the present, and we're gonna talk about the future.

  23. And you will be excited about what you hear.

  24. But today, every once in a while, when I have a little time between a series, I just pray through something and ask the Lord to give me insight, especially where we are in our culture, our our country.

  25. And uh there's a message God gave me a long time ago.

  26. A long time ago.

  27. In Mark chapter 2.

    Mark 2 chapter mention

  28. And it's one of my favorite stories.

  29. Jesus had been preaching for about a year all in the region.

  30. And after a year of ministry, he decided he'd go back to his resting place, and that was in Capernaum, and that was where Peter lived.

  31. And he was actually, actually, going back, you know, to rest in Capernaum.

  32. And uh something takes place here.

  33. Probably one of the greatest examples of what we as Christian servants ought to be is seen in this passage of scripture.

  34. It really is.

  35. It really is.

  36. So we're gonna be looking at, and the title of the message this morning is there's a rumor that Jesus is in the house.

  37. And when Jesus is in the house, things happen.

  38. And what we as a church, CCW, we want to pray that Jesus will be in our house.

  39. Amen.

  40. So let's pick up the story.

  41. Verse 1.

  42. And again, he entered into Coperna after some days, and it was, now I like this, the King James.

  43. Let me see what the King James, I like what the King James says here.

  44. Let me get.

  45. And it says, are you ready?

  46. And it was a noise that he was in the house.

  47. I like the word noise.

  48. In other words, there was a rumbling.

  49. There was an excitement that Jesus was in the house.

  50. And then verse 2 says, and straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door.

  51. And he preached the word unto them.

  52. In other words, it was so full people were outside the door.

  53. Folks, I lived to see that in that new building.

  54. Because it's going to seat six or seven hundred people.

  55. Wouldn't you love to see the people having to go all the way out into the four-year area and even into the parking lot?

  56. And I'm telling you, if Jesus shows up, the people will come.

  57. Hey, and our, should I say, sinfulness, and our our heart so that we are so filled with the Spirit of the living God that people, when they talk to us, when they see us, they know that the Holy Spirit and Jesus is dwelling in us.

  58. Now, the first thing I want us to look at with our outline.

  59. Everybody have an outline?

  60. Okay, good.

  61. Is number one the return of Jesus.

  62. Now notice when he returned, things begin to happen.

  63. And we see that if, hey, if our country is going to have revival, Jesus needs to return to our nation.

  64. Can I get an amen?

  65. Really?

  66. Now we're being labeled as a non-Christian nation.

  67. We really are.

  68. The Bible says, blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.

  69. Psalms 33, 12.

  70. The Bible says in Proverbs 14, 34, righteousness exalts a nation to greatness.

  71. But sin is a reproach to all people.

  72. Jesus needs to return to our nation.

  73. Secondly, he needs to return to our cities.

  74. Thank God we live in a very conservative little town.

  75. Can I get an amen?

  76. But that's not the case in most of them.

  77. Thank God.

  78. Listen to what the Bible says.

  79. Proverbs 11, 11.

  80. By the blessings of the upright.

  81. Now listen, the city is exalted.

  82. We can make a difference in our little Westover.

  83. We can make a difference in Chelsea, Alabama.

  84. Can I get an amen?

  85. How can we make a difference by living righteously, by showing people what, hey, kindness and joy and reaching out and helping?

  86. Why do you think we're a community church?

  87. Why do you think we've building those 90 acres so that we can be a blessing to our community so the people can see that we love Jesus, we love God, and we love them.

  88. Praise God.

  89. He needs to return to our cities.

  90. Thirdly, he needs to return to our schools.

  91. Oh my goodness! What's going in and this equality act that they're trying to pass?

  92. Oh my goodness! The garbage, the anti-God that is bringing in.

  93. You know what's happened to our public school system?

  94. Thank God for the teachers that are in there, saved teachers.

  95. I pray for them every day.

  96. God had strengthened them, give them the courage to show the light in a dark place.

  97. You know, when I grew up, you know what we did before we started class?

  98. Hey, we had an American flag, we had the Christian flag, and we had a Bible.

  99. And we we did the pledge to all three of them in public school.

  100. Hello?

  101. What's happened?

  102. We've taken God's word out of the public school, we've taken the commandments out of the public school.

  103. Somebody said, We don't need the Ten Commandments.

  104. I said, Why?

  105. They said, Well, it causes harm.

  106. They undoubtedly didn't read the Ten Commandments, because the Ten Commandments, hey, does not does away with the whole the harm.

  107. But we've taken the commandments, the word of God out, and we put the drugs in and the destruction in.

  108. God help us.

  109. God help us.

  110. He says in Proverbs 29, 2.

  111. Again.

  112. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.

  113. But when the wicked bear through, they mourn.

  114. Ladies and gentlemen, the mourning's going on because you got wicked authority in places that they, hey, hey, should not be.

  115. Amen.

  116. Again.

  117. God help us.

  118. And then, fourthly, he needs to return to our churches.

  119. Oh, I'm really kind of heartbroken about this.

  120. Jesus said, Upon my rock, I'll build this church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.

  121. God, hey, hey, let me just tell you something.

  122. Let me help you right now.

  123. I know the government's tried to shut down the churches.

  124. Other people, and some of the preachers have even tried to shut down their own churches, you know.

  125. But but that's okay.

  126. Hey, until God takes his church home, God's church has always been here.

  127. It's always gonna be.

  128. In fact, let me tell you what I just had a guy tell me.

  129. I had a guy tell me, Pastor, I got news for you.

  130. Your church is on its way out.

  131. First of all, I said, Lord, don't let me knock him out.

  132. I was about to bam! God bless you.

  133. But that would not have been the thing to do.

  134. But I sure thought about it.

  135. I had to repent.

  136. And then God gave me the answer.

  137. What is it?

  138. You're right.

  139. Kind sir.

  140. Our church is on the way out.

  141. God's called the church out.

  142. God sent the church out.

  143. And one day God's coming in to take his church out.

  144. He looked at me, he said, You crazy.

  145. I said, Yep, I am.

  146. He just turned around and walked off.

  147. I'm glad he did, because if he had said anything else, I'd been in trouble.

  148. But he needs to return to the church.

  149. Oh, listen to what he says.

  150. Blessed are they that hunger after God.

  151. They shall be filled.

  152. Matthew 5, 6.

  153. Oh, and we need preachers that have have some backbone.

  154. We need preachers that are standing the gap for the land so that God won't destroy it.

  155. We need a preacher standing up.

  156. I'll never forget.

  157. Over a year ago, I told Rick, I told David, I told Benji, I said, we're going to be here every Sunday.

  158. I'm not closing the doors.

  159. Hey, if it's just me and Benji and someone running the camera, that's okay.

  160. Well, uh, there would be four of us.

  161. I was gonna make my buddies come with me.

  162. But but I said, hey, we're gonna preach every Sunday.

  163. Not one time will we not preach the word of God.

  164. And we did, and then we went to the parking lot and had drive-in services.

  165. Boy, that was fun.

  166. That was a lot of fun.

  167. So, and by the way, CBS came out and did a thing on us here a while back.

  168. I don't know if you got up early enough in the early morning show to see it, but it did a good article on our church.

  169. That was awesome.

  170. Why?

  171. Because we determined if God be for you, who can be against you?

  172. Right?

  173. My goodness, folks.

  174. So we were standing.

  175. You know what?

  176. We need we need preachers like Ezra.

  177. That's what we need.

  178. You know who Ezra was?

  179. Ezra chapter 7, verse 10.

    Ezra 7:10

  180. Ezra prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and then to do it, and then to teach his statues to Israel.

  181. He prepared his heart.

  182. He had a heart for the word of God.

  183. He put the word in his heart, purified his heart, then he was ready to teach it.

  184. That order their fits.

  185. We need some men that are filled with the Holy Spirit of God, which comes through saturating his heart with the word of God.

  186. And then he, when he steps in this pulpit, he'll have the king help it.

  187. He can't help but speak the things that he's seen and heard.

  188. Acts 4 20.

  189. And then he needs to return to our homes.

  190. I get so thrilled to see what God's doing with our young couples.

  191. Right here, front row, young couples.

  192. Our young people, right there in the middle.

  193. I get so excited.

  194. And let me tell you why.

  195. Because this is our next generation, folks.

  196. And we gotta have you.

  197. You gotta stand.

  198. You gotta stand now for your children.

  199. For my grandchildren, for my grandchildren.

  200. We gotta stand.

  201. We gotta stand for what's right, we gotta do what's right.

  202. And I love what he says in Deuteronomy 6, 5 and through 7.

  203. And he says, and these words which I command unto thee shall be in your heart.

  204. And then you, verse 7, shall teach them diligently until your children and their children.

  205. I'm telling you, it's the word of God.

  206. His word is with power.

  207. Luke 4 32.

  208. It's got a return.

  209. Choose you this day whom you're gonna serve for me and my house.

  210. We're gonna serve the Lord.

  211. And and uh Joe's got a they got a group now, young couples meeting on Sunday nights, and they're a small group.

  212. And it's like I'm telling you, folks, you guys get excited, those teenagers there get excited, we'll have revival.

  213. It always starts there.

  214. Old folks are too setting their ways.

  215. Sorry.

  216. You can't move them, can't move them at all.

  217. In fact, you asked you something.

  218. I'll pray about it.

  219. Let me tell you what.

  220. When somebody you ask them to help you and they say I'll pray about it, let me tell you what that means in the Greek.

  221. They ain't gonna do it.

  222. Just a thought.

  223. Been doing this a long time, folks.

  224. Jesus, say it with me, church.

  225. Jesus needs to return, hey, to the house.

  226. Say it with me.

  227. Jesus needs to return to the house.

  228. Notice the second thing in this passage.

  229. He is.

  230. Where two or three are gathered.

  231. In his name, he's in our midst.

  232. Matthew 18.

  233. But notice the second thing in verse 1.

  234. Now that he's in the house, two things happen.

  235. The house will be filled.

  236. Amen.

  237. And let me just brag on you.

  238. We're down a little bit today, but the last three or four Sundays, we've been packed with spread out.

  239. Packed.

  240. Amen.

  241. You know why?

  242. Because you want to hear the truth.

  243. And you know you hear the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

  244. You're not going to get any sugarcoat preaching in this pulpit.

  245. Never.

  246. Never, never, never.

  247. Never.

  248. Sorry.

  249. I'm not.

  250. Thank you, though.

  251. But thank you.

  252. Amen.

  253. I like that.

  254. Yeah, don't apologize for the truth.

  255. I'm not ashamed of the gospel of Christ.

  256. For it's the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth to the Jew first, and then, hey, to the Gentiles.

  257. By the way, you're either Jew or Gentile, so.

  258. That's it.

  259. I can simplify it real quick.

  260. Everybody starts worried about races.

  261. There's only really two races a Jew and a Gentile.

  262. I'll let you figure that one out.

  263. The house was filled.

  264. We gotta pray that people, 35% of people they say in the Southern Baptist Convention are not coming back to church.

  265. That's sad, folks.

  266. Jesus said, not forsaking the assembly.

  267. Well, the writer of Hebrews, Jesus working through the writer, says, hey, not forsaking the assembly because of ourselves together as the man or some are, but exhorting one another so much more as you shall see the day approaching.

  268. I can't wait on Sunday to come to church.

  269. He said, Well, you that's your job.

  270. No, it's not my job.

  271. When I'm not preaching, I'm in church.

  272. I want to go to church because God's gonna teach me something.

  273. And when I give you that word for the week, that's because God's been dealing with my heart all through the word, the B-I-B-L-E.

  274. Hey, by the way, that's what Jesus preached right here.

  275. Notice the second thing.

  276. He the word was preached.

  277. Remember what I gave you yesterday?

  278. The word for the week, the B-I-B-L-E, that's the book for me.

  279. And I said, let it be, it brightens my life.

  280. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

  281. Psalms 119, 105.

  282. And then I said, let her eye in the word Bible, it instructs my life.

  283. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way that thou shalt go.

  284. I will guide thee with my eye, Psalms 32, 8.

  285. And then the second letter B in the word Bible, it builds my life.

  286. And now, brethren, I commune you to God and to the word of grace, which is able to build you up.

  287. Acts 20, 32.

  288. And then letter L, I love this one.

  289. The letter L stands for, hey, the Bible liberates my life.

  290. It liberates me, one, from sin.

  291. Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.

  292. Secondly, it liberates me from Satan.

  293. He says, and they overcame him, Satan, by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony.

  294. Revelations 12, 14.

  295. You with me?

  296. So Jesus fills the house and he gets the crowd.

  297. What does he do?

  298. He preaches the word of God to him.

  299. And you wait till next week on the road to Emmaus.

  300. Woo! You're gonna get to see Jesus preach.

  301. Thirdly, not only does Jesus need to return to the nations, the cities, the schools, the churches, the homes, and when he returns, especially to the church, his house will be filled and the word will be preached.

  302. But the third thing, now this is where it really gets good.

  303. This is where it really gets good.

  304. The results when Jesus is in the house.

  305. Now this is number one.

  306. Here we go.

  307. And I love this.

  308. I love this.

  309. Look at what he says in verse 3.

  310. And they come unto him bringing four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat.

  311. I could say they were bringing his friend.

  312. Now look at this.

  313. I would just watch this.

  314. And when they could not come in to Jesus, this is good, this gets good.

  315. They couldn't bring him to Jesus because of the crowd.

  316. Sometimes crowds can be a hinder.

  317. Hello?

  318. That's another message.

  319. Can I say something?

  320. Anybody can draw a crowd.

  321. If you do the right things and give away the right things, you'll get a crowd.

  322. Sometimes the crowd hinders the truth.

  323. But now watch.

  324. Watch.

  325. I couldn't get in the door.

  326. Well, I guess we gotta go home.

  327. It's not God's will for us to get a friend of Jesus.

  328. Oh no.

  329. Oh no.

  330. Oh no.

  331. They said, there's a stairs over here on the right side of the house going to the roof.

  332. Let's go up to the roof.

  333. What are we gonna do if we go up the roof?

  334. I can see them now.

  335. There's gotta be one leader.

  336. Now, wait, by the way, let me just say, we don't even know who these guys are, no name.

  337. But what I do know is four people four men that are determined that they're gonna get their friend to Jesus.

  338. Nothing's gonna stop them.

  339. Now, folks, you got lost loved ones?

  340. You got lost friends?

  341. And look, who I'm fixing to give you truth, it's worth you being here if you got lost people you know, friends, or teenagers, listen to me.

  342. Don't miss this.

  343. Four men decided nothing was going to stop them from bringing their friend to Jesus.

  344. They knew he needed Jesus.

  345. And if you have friends that you know that are lost, you know they need to come to Jesus.

  346. Now I'm gonna show you the truth that you very seldom hear.

  347. Nothing was gonna stop these men from bringing their friend to Jesus.

  348. They go up and one, I'm sure, you know, one said, Hey, we're gonna take him up on the roof, and they're thinking, roof?

  349. Jesus down here, then all of a sudden, whoever the leader was, he said, We're gonna, hey, we're gonna knock a hole in the roof.

  350. What?

  351. Huh?

  352. Huh?

  353. They didn't hesitate, they didn't debate.

  354. They said, Let's go up the stairs.

  355. Now watch.

  356. Don't miss what you're about to see next.

  357. This is just phenomenal.

  358. They dug through the roof, then they lowered the man on the mat right down in front of Jesus.

  359. Now watch.

  360. Number verse 5 put a star by.

  361. Here's what I want you to hear, young people.

  362. This is what I want us all to hear.

  363. Seeing their faith.

  364. Hello.

  365. Not the paralyzed man's faith, their faith.

  366. Okay?

  367. Their faith.

  368. He said to the paralyzed man, son, your sins are forgiven you.

  369. Now, I know that the civilized man was under conviction.

  370. And I wouldn't you be under conviction after your friends had.

  371. I'm at no telling how far they had to bring that carry the stretcher with that man on it.

  372. In fact, let me just let me just show you what I wrote down.

  373. Look at this.

  374. This is the kind of faith I'm praying that God's gonna impart into our church and bring people when we move over, because there'll be so much room, to bring people to this church that are like these four men.

  375. And bring ladies to this church, like all those godly ladies with faith.

  376. And by the way, it was the ladies that had the faith to believe that he was risen, not the disciples.

  377. Thank God for the faith of our mothers and for me, my grandmother.

  378. It was her faith that got me saved, it was her faith that got me into the ministry.

  379. I didn't, I wasn't gonna.

  380. Last thing I want to do was preach.

  381. My goodness.

  382. Say that with me, church.

  383. Their faith.

  384. Let me tell you what, quick.

  385. You gotta hear it.

  386. Their faith was active faith.

  387. You may want to jot this down.

  388. This is good.

  389. Active faith.

  390. Folks, we've got if you got faith, let me put it this way.

  391. If you're walking in the Spirit, God gave me this actually this morning early.

  392. Because I was going through my mind, what kind of faith did these guys have?

  393. That's the kind of faith I want.

  394. That's the kind of faith our people need.

  395. Well, first of all, it was active faith.

  396. They were doing something.

  397. Can I get an amen?

  398. Now you listen to me.

  399. If you're sitting here in church and you're saved, and your spirit feels you want to do something.

  400. Yeah, come on now.

  401. Come on.

  402. You can't walk in the spirit and then not be active.

  403. You want to do something.

  404. Now we got, guess what?

  405. I have got, I've got a plan for you.

  406. We got a lot that needs to be done around here.

  407. That's why it's so important you be here on vision night.

  408. And it's so important that you meet.

  409. Is it today that we're about to serve it?

  410. I mean, we just need a lot of help.

  411. We need people to park, we need people to help set up and take down, because we will have set up chairs every every Sunday in the new building.

  412. Because we'll be playing ball, they'll be playing ball to about lunch on Saturday.

  413. So we'll have to probably have a crew come in either Saturday night or early Sunday morning and set up four or five hundred chairs.

  414. But we're going to do that together.

  415. You know why?

  416. Hey, if these guys can bring theirs walk for miles and miles and go up on top of the roof and break the roof in to bring their person to Jesus, their friend to Jesus, can't we?

  417. You know what you need to do?

  418. Let me tell you what we used to do at Open Door when we'd set we had a gym.

  419. We built a church of over a thousand with a gym.

  420. And most purposes, sorry, don't call it a gym.

  421. Well, it is a gym.

  422. But anyway, uh, but it's a pretty gym.

  423. Hey, hey, listen to me.

  424. Every chair, I had a uh a group of men that would uh come in, and we had them on the racks and they'd roll the racks down the road.

  425. You know what I'd do?

  426. Every chair they put down, Lord, save somebody in this chair.

  427. Save somebody in this chair, save somebody in this chair, or or get somebody's heart right in this chair.

  428. And then every Sunday morning there's me and the other pastors and deacons and some of our leaders.

  429. We'd go in there and just pray early in the morning over the whole and all the chairs.

  430. Oh God, I beg you to show up, change lives for the people sitting in these chairs.

  431. That's what I'm talking about.

  432. And we had people saved every Sunday.

  433. Have new visitors every Sunday.

  434. And that's what we're gonna do over there.

  435. We already started.

  436. Right now, the staff meets here on Wednesdays at 12 o'clock, and we pray for about an hour.

  437. Come join us any any Wednesday, 12 to 1.

  438. You can pray if you gotta go, and he's out.

  439. That's where it is, folks.

  440. That's what these guys were.

  441. I bet you they were praying the whole time.

  442. They were bringing their friend to Jesus.

  443. Oh, let us get him to Jesus.

  444. Let us get him to Jesus.

  445. Jesus can heal him, Jesus can save him.

  446. We gotta get him to Jesus.

  447. All that we do over there, we don't do it for people to come out and feel good and feed the flesh with athletics.

  448. We use it for people to use athletics.

  449. I want them to feel good.

  450. I want them to enjoy athletics, but I want them to see Jesus all over that place.

  451. Because when Jesus fills the house, things happen.

  452. Things happen.

  453. It was wise faith, hey, persistence faith, sacrificing faith, public faith, and humble faith.

  454. That's what it was.

  455. You know why?

  456. I didn't fall.

  457. You know what it you know why?

  458. You know why it was humble faith?

  459. We don't even know who it was.

  460. They didn't care.

  461. They didn't care who they were.

  462. All they cared about is getting a friend of Jesus.

  463. I don't care who gets the credit.

  464. As long as we get people saved.

  465. Amen?

  466. Been there, done all that stuff.

  467. Well, look at me.

  468. No, it's not about you, it's about him.

  469. That took me a few years to get there.

  470. And I'm still not all the way there.

  471. I still that flesh, especially when you don't feel appreciated.

  472. Anyone ever not felt appreciated?

  473. Every hand better go up.

  474. Yeah, then we have a liar.

  475. Nobody appreciates me.

  476. Not about them.

  477. You know who you want to appreciate you?

  478. Because those others, they don't have a thing to do with your judgment.

  479. Hello.

  480. So don't quit worrying about Sister Fluffyhead.

  481. Or deacon potato head.

  482. Just quit a book.

  483. Don't worry about it.

  484. Not only will there be people bringing friends to Jesus, look at the second thing.

  485. Look at verse 5.

  486. Their sins will be forgiven.

  487. Look at verse 5.

  488. When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven.

  489. Folks, let me tell you.

  490. When Jesus are in the house, people are going to be getting saved.

  491. Can I get an amen?

  492. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

  493. Look at the second, third thing.

  494. Verse 6.

  495. Look at the third thing's gonna happen.

  496. But there were certain of the scribes and Pharisees sitting there and reasoning in their hearts.

  497. Uh-oh.

  498. Uh-oh.

  499. Verse 7 why does this man speak blasphemies?

  500. How can he forgive sin?

  501. But God only.

  502. Now that's true.

  503. Their problem was they didn't realize that Jesus was God.

  504. Hello.

  505. What there will be.

  506. Now we, and I we have, I just never tell you about it.

  507. But when you're doing something, listen, the greater the work you do for God, the more criticism you're gonna get.

  508. Now that I know.

  509. I've been doing this 40 plus years.

  510. I have been called everything in the book.

  511. I'm Jim Jones.

  512. Don't bring out the Kool-Aid.

  513. They used to tell me, oh, the rumor was in Tuscaloosa a long, a lot.

  514. You know that preacher over there at Open Door Baptist Church?

  515. He gets all those, he fills out your people and he locks the doors until they give him money.

  516. Because we again, God was blessing, the money was coming.

  517. We, you know, we pay and pay for everything.

  518. We didn't borrow a lot of money and all that.

  519. I said, Hmm.

  520. Might not be a bad idea.

  521. Listen to what he says in Luke 6.26.

  522. Woe unto you.

  523. Now this is powerful.

  524. If all people speak well of you.

  525. Jesus said that.

  526. You know, that liberated me.

  527. Because there's two things with Pastor Danny, you love me or you don't like me.

  528. Because I'm a little boisterous sometimes.

  529. And I don't mean that in a bad way.

  530. I just, I'm excited and loud about Jesus.

  531. You know where I did my, you know where I did my word for the week yesterday?

  532. Y'all know I'm up that Clay and I were and Susan, and we're all and Candy.

  533. By the way, Susan and Candy won the gold medal in their division yesterday.

  534. Woo-hoo-hoo! I challenge you athletes.

  535. Why don't you see how good athletes you are?

  536. These two ladies right here whoop all of you.

  537. But you know where I did that?

  538. Right there in front of everybody and all the pookleball players.

  539. And I wasn't, I didn't go.

  540. Word for the week.

  541. I said, good morning.

  542. People stand kind of looking at me.

  543. What is that guy over there doing?

  544. And I started doing what I always do.

  545. I just started and showing, talking about it, you know, my what we're doing, and next thing you're so now I said, for the word for the week, Luke 11, 28, blessed are they that hear the word of God and do it.

  546. The word for the week is the B-I-B-L-E.

  547. That's the book for me.

  548. And I started doing it.

  549. What I just gave you a while ago.

  550. I had some in the I had some in the stands going.

  551. And I had others going.

  552. You think it bothered me?

  553. I just got louder.

  554. But folks, look.

  555. Look what happens.

  556. Criticism is gonna come.

  557. Can you imagine what they were saying?

  558. Though, hey, can you imagine?

  559. The roof starts falling in.

  560. Can you imagine?

  561. If that was the church, I can see Deacon Potatohead.

  562. Ah, who?

  563. Who's doing this?

  564. Who's gonna pay for the roof?

  565. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

  566. Amen.

  567. This is ridiculous.

  568. What is it thinking?

  569. I tell you what they're thinking.

  570. I know exactly what they're thinking.

  571. We're getting our friend to Jesus.

  572. Somebody say, Amen.

  573. You did, but loud.

  574. Hallelujah.

  575. Here he comes.

  576. Now you know what I thought?

  577. Y'all gonna laugh at this.

  578. Those four guys definitely had to be unified.

  579. They had to be in one accord.

  580. What if they had not and boom?

  581. One guy said, well, he's already got paralyzed anyway, you just have to heal him twice.

  582. I know I think crazy, but that's the but hey, hey, watch this.

  583. They had to hey.

  584. You can't you can't have the vision.

  585. Woo! This is good.

  586. You can't have the vision within the body and accomplish getting people to Jesus.

  587. He that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

  588. 1 Corinthians 6 17.

  589. You with me?

  590. Man, that's good.

  591. I just got that.

  592. I wasn't in my notes.

  593. Now watch.

  594. It's criticism.

  595. But look at verse 8.

  596. Here's the D.

  597. The hearts will be revealed.

  598. Uh-oh.

  599. God knows the secrets of a heart.

  600. Can I get an O me?

  601. I can't say amen to that.

  602. I'd say oh me.

  603. God, and you know what it says in Luke 11, 17?

  604. I don't like this verse.

  605. Luke 11, 13.

  606. Listen to me.

  607. Here's what it says.

  608. He knows your thoughts.

  609. You ever had a bad thought?

  610. One person.

  611. Tracy raised her hand.

  612. Everybody else is lying.

  613. Y'all have already quenched the spirit.

  614. Can we repent so we can get a good invitation, please?

  615. I'm the call for that man.

  616. I can understand that.

  617. I shouldn't have said that.

  618. That was a bad thought, bad word.

  619. Sorry.

  620. I repent, Barry.

  621. Now listen.

  622. Listen.

  623. Thoughts.

  624. Why do you think Paul said casting down imaginations and every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of God?

  625. 2 Corinthians 10, 4 and 5.

  626. Why?

  627. It matters.

  628. Amen.

  629. Hey, you can try to fool me.

  630. I can even try to fool you.

  631. But you can't fool God.

  632. He already knows what you're thinking.

  633. That means you better start saying, whoop, think right, think right, think right, think right.

  634. Or time that thought hits there, say, whoop, get thee out.

  635. Out now.

  636. Get thee behind me, Satan.

  637. Do something.

  638. Get rid of it.

  639. That's why you have to watch what you watch.

  640. What you listen to.

  641. What goes in comes out.

  642. Garbage in, garbage out.

  643. Righteousness in, righteousness out.

  644. That's why I memorize scripture.

  645. Somebody said, You must love the memorize.

  646. No.

  647. You know why I memorize scripture?

  648. Because it keeps my thoughts pure.

  649. Like Psalm says, I will set no wicked things before my eyes.

  650. Put that up there in front of your TV.

  651. And anytime there's something wicked, you got to turn it off.

  652. Well, I won't watch much.

  653. I know.

  654. Verse 12.

  655. There will be new methodology.

  656. Look at it.

  657. And immediately he arose, took up his bed, and went forth before them all, insomuch that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

  658. Right now, we're saying, man, we've never seen church being executed like it is today.

  659. Amen.

  660. We're doing things on media, and Susan's teaching online every Sunday morning in her Sunday school class.

  661. I'm doing my word for the week.

  662. I mean, we're reaching hundreds, thousands of people in so many new ways.

  663. And I have a lot of people, well, I don't like that.

  664. Hey, I like anything that's getting the gospel to the lost world.

  665. Don't get hung up on the methodology.

  666. Now, here's something that can't change the message.

  667. The message, the death, the barrel, and the resurrection of Christ.

  668. But the methodology, no one had ever busted a roof open before and brought something to Jesus.

  669. That's definitely a new methodology.

  670. No one had ever seen a man jump up and start running because he had been healed.

  671. But notice first, he got saved before the healing ministry.

  672. He got saved, then got healed.

  673. Can I get an amen?

  674. Very important.

  675. That's another message.

  676. And then, number, hey, verse 13, look what happens afterwards.

  677. There's discipleship.

  678. And Jesus went forth again by the seaside, and all the multitudes resorted unto him and he taught them.

  679. All the people that got saved kept following him and he taught them.

  680. And then when you look at verses 15 through 17, revival breaks out.

  681. Is that not good?

  682. Is that not good, church?

  683. Come on.

  684. Amen.

  685. Amen.

  686. So I want their rumor to go out from CCW.

  687. That Jesus is in the house.

  688. You want me to tell you how we're going to do it?

  689. Each and every one of us gets spirit-filled, walking in the Spirit.

  690. Galatians 5, 22 and 23.

  691. But the fruit of the Spirit is love and joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, meekness, temperance.

  692. Against such there's nothing to be compared with.

  693. See, when you live like Jesus, you think like Jesus, you talk like Jesus, you act like Jesus.

  694. People see Jesus in you.

  695. Because we're living in a world that there's not a whole lot of light right now being shed.

  696. Somebody told us that it's over with.

  697. I said, you know, and I had to really because the best thing I ever, best thing I've ever done.

  698. I just don't watch news anymore.

  699. Best thing I've ever done.

  700. Because it would fight my negativity all the time.

  701. Try to bring it up in me.

  702. And give me thoughts that I shouldn't have.

  703. But you know what I've learned?

  704. And I'm a history nut.

  705. Bible history.

  706. American history.

  707. That's the only classmate A in.

  708. The darker it was in the word.

  709. Seemed like Jesus was priming the situation.

  710. Getting it ready.

  711. For him to show up in a great way.

  712. And let me tell you how he shows up.

  713. Now this is gonna be an encouragement to you.

  714. He shows up through his real church.

  715. The wheat will be divided from the ship.

  716. You listen to me?

  717. So this times get worse, and listen.

  718. The true church will get brighter.

  719. But let me say something.

  720. I didn't use this, thank you, Father.

  721. But it's gonna cost us something.

  722. Remember I said sacrificial faith these guys had?

  723. It cost them time.

  724. It cost them their talents.

  725. And what's this?

  726. Let me tell you what God gave me.

  727. It cost them their treasure.

  728. Because if they're the Christians that I know they were, they didn't leave there.

  729. What do you think about that, Paul?

  730. Because a Christian doesn't destroy something and not fix it.

  731. That's good, preacher! Where's I?

  732. Oh, oh.

  733. Oh, he had to go get the chicken.

  734. I'm glad he went to get a chicken because I'm hungry.

  735. Did you get it, church?

  736. Is that not good truth?

  737. Is that not good truth?

  738. Well, now that's a warm-up for next week.

  739. The road to a mess.

  740. Ooh, ooh.

  741. When you see Jesus show, I mean he shows up.

  742. You don't want to miss our Easter message on the journey to joy.

  743. Every head bow, every eye closed.
