Let's just stay postured there for just a moment.

Lord God, we glorify you this morning.

Lord God, we thank you, Lord God, for your presence that is in this room today, Lord God.

Oh Lord Jesus, in this morning, Lord God, wherever we find ourselves, whatever your weakness looked like, these are the moments where God says, bring it to me.

Bring it to me.

Bring me the heavy parts, the hard parts, the easy parts.

This is what we get to give to him this morning.

So in this moment of worship with our hands lifted up, we thank you, Lord.

We thank you today, for God, that you're in this space.

That you're here to meet us, Lord.

We glorify you to take for God.

We bought the fucking Let's Presence meet us, right?

Let's your presence meet us in this moment, Lord God.

We give you honor, we give you glory today, God.

We give you all the honor and all the glory today, Lord God.

We give you all the honor and all the glory today, Lord Jesus.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Man, Lord God, we thank you today, Lord God.

Man, can we get excited for Jesus today?

Man, I get excited for Jesus.

I get excited because he's in the room.

Hallelujah.

God meets us.

God meets us where we are.

Amen.

Man, we're excited today to be in the room together.

I believe that God is speaking.

God has been moving.

Today is no different.

Today is no different.

Before we get going, man, I just want to take a moment.

And can we honor our pastor is here?

Pastor Daniel's in the room.

I just want to honor him this morning.

And Pastor Rich from Chicago.

Man, we got a Chicago crowd in the room today, okay?

So let's get excited.

Thank you guys.

We're excited to have you guys in the room with us.

Well, guys, good morning today.

Man, if you're visiting us for the first time, we're excited you're in the room.

And we believe that finding a church home is always challenging.

But we pray that you feel right at home.

We feel uh that you feel God's presence in the room more importantly.

Amen.

Amen.

So I like to share.

Uh typically I start with the best thing I heard this week.

And man, there was just something that really just hit a chord with me, and I pray that it hits you as well.

Uh, but it was uh if what you're doing breaks God's heart, why do you think it will fulfill yours?

I'm gonna run that one back because that that one hits a little bit.

Uh, if what you're doing breaks God's heart, why do you think it will fulfill yours?

So I'm gonna let that one rest on you a little bit right there.

Uh, because I believe that's a good one.

Um, but man, we've been in a series over the last man, really several months entitled Follow Me the Way, uh, and what it means to really live a faith forward and spirit-led life.

Amen.

But today, tell your neighbor today.

Today we're gonna we're gonna run a little something different today.

I felt, uh man, uh I had a message ready, uh, really tied to man with the ongoing message that we've been talking about on the Sermon on the Mount.

Amen.

But kind of midweek, um, I just felt the Holy Spirit begin to stir something different in my heart.

So uh we we put that one aside and we'll pick it up next week.

But uh man, I feel like there's a fresh word.

Everybody excited about a fresh word.

Oh, come on, I want fresh word from heaven, amen.

Just like the song was singing, man, we got to go where the spirit is leading, amen.

And I believe the Lord is leading us into a word today.

So uh let's just pray really quickly.

Man, Lord God, I pray today, Lord God, that your presence, your manifest presence is in the room today.

I pray, Lord God, that you're giving us ears to hear, Lord God, eyes to see, Lord God, that you're moving in our midst, Lord God.

Ready our hearts today, Lord God.

I pray that this is a seeking word.

I pray that this word would find us, Lord God, throughout the week, Lord God.

Let this word find us today.

Let this word meet us, convict us, and challenge us today, Lord God.

I pray today, Lord God, that I'm simply a vessel that you could work through, Lord God.

And I pray today, Lord God, let your word come to convict, change, and challenge us today, Lord God.

Let us not leave this place the same.

In Jesus' name we pray.

Amen and amen.

Uh man, I'll tell you what, man, as I was preparing this message, and and really what I felt the Lord was leading us to today, I was thinking about a movie uh that, man, just kind of tied this a little bit together.

And uh I don't know if you've seen this movie, but it's called The Edge of Tomorrow.

Uh, or it was it had a different name.

It said, uh what is it, uh repeat and then repeat again and then repeat again.

You're repeating the day, uh, but they changed it to Edge of Tomorrow.

And the premise of this movie was centered around this idea where this guy was essentially repeating the day.

And along this series, right, there was like an invasion, and uh he got this ability to kind of reset the day.

And he got to this point where he's going into the same day over and over and over again.

And uh, there's this moment in the movie where he just gives up.

And he's like, Man, there's nothing I can do that's changing the situation or the scenario.

And he finds himself, uh, he's in in a bar and he's sitting down, and uh, no matter what happens, he gets overrun.

Like the city gets overrun.

And there's this moment where he cannot escape that there's a vision that he has.

And the vision is telling him, hey, there's a way to stop this.

And he can't escape the vision, so he's gotta keep going into that day until he's like, hey, you know what?

I gotta find the way to see this vision fulfilled, right?

And and why this ties together is because sometimes we find ourselves in these spaces where we're we feel like we're just repeating the same patterns, we're repeating the same things, and we're like, man, God, I don't see the evidence of what I've been sewing into, I don't see the evidence of what I've been believing for.

But how many know sometimes there's a vision that's sitting in the back of your spirit, there's a vision sitting in the back of your heart that God doesn't let you let go of.

Amen.

You know, sometimes we get into these tired spaces and and we think maybe we need to help God.

And we we try to rush some things.

And how many know they don't help either?

We're gonna pick up the scripture in Galatians chapter 9, or chapter 6, verse 9.

I'm gonna read it from two versions, the Passion Translation and the King James.

In the Passion, it says, uh, and don't allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds.

For the season of reaping, the wonderful harvest you've planted is coming.

Man, that sounds good.

Come on now.

Uh, and in the King James it says, uh, and let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season, everybody say due season.

Man, we shall reap if we faint not.

Amen.

Man, I don't know about you guys, man.

I'm about a due season, amen.

I'm excited about a due season.

Tell your neighbor due season is coming.

Man, I prophesy a due season today.

Man, that's just the word that's been ruminating in my spirit.

Due season.

And what does that mean?

Man, due season is God's perfect timing.

How many know that God's perfect timing doesn't align to our schedule?

I'll tell you what, if it did, some things look a little different, okay?

Because I'll tell you what, I was needing God a couple weeks ago.

Like, man, God, if you want to show up, today might be a good day, okay?

Uh maybe in the next couple hours might be good, okay?

Uh, but how many know due season and God's timing is is is different than our timing?

And that's why we can't lose faith.

We can't faint.

And what you're believing for, what you've sowed for, what you're standing in faith for.

Can I tell you your breakthrough is closer than you can think or you can imagine today?

I mean, you're believing and praying for sons and daughters to come home.

That's coming.

Man, there's a healing that's coming, there's restoration that's coming, amen.

There's marriages that are being restored, amen.

Man, there's closed doors that are swinging wide open, amen.

But I'll tell you what, this is those are always the exciting parts, right?

When we hear about the the doors that are being flung wide open, or we we we we say, hey man, there's that restoration that's coming my way.

But how many know that sometimes we get caught in attention?

Because before we get the result or the outcome, before faith is made manifest or that prayer is answered, we land in this middle ground, this intersection called belief and trust.

And I'll tell you what, man, have you ever have you ever like uh try to buy something and you get put in a queue?

And and you're just waiting, and they say you're next.

And next feels like it's never next.

Like you're like, what does next really mean?

Because I've been here 20 minutes, but I'm in the queue, I'm and I'm waiting.

I remember the other day I was making a phone call and they said, uh, your wait is three minutes.

And I said, Oh, I could do three minutes, but but how many know it wasn't three minutes because 20 minutes later they say you're next, and 30 minutes later they say you're next.

How many know the waiting cue isn't easy?

There's always a waiting period between planting a seed and gathering the crop.

This period requires patience and endurance.

Man, those are hard words right there.

Patience is a hard one.

Endurance is a hard one.

Sometimes endurance is easy to lose.

Man, it was like the other day, man, I'm I'm cutting the grass, and I don't know what like I'm halfway through, I felt winded, and I was like, man, I'm losing some endurance out here to cut the grass.

What's going on?

Why?

Because patience and endurance are hard places.

Why?

Because sometimes we sow seed, water, ground, and wait, then repeat.

We sow seed, water, ground, and wait, and repeat.

And we sow some seed and water ground and wait.

How many know that's hard?

When you keep sowing seed and watering it, but you're waiting.

And you sow some more seed, and you're watering, and you're waiting.

But can I tell you there's something in this repetition?

And I want, don't, don't lose this repetition, right?

We sow the seed, we water the ground, and we wait.

Paul tells us, man, don't allow yourselves to be weary.

Why is he telling us this?

Because he knows it's coming.

He knows weariness is gonna come.

And what does that mean?

Don't get tired, don't give up.

We work hard, but we can't see it.

We sow seeds, but we can't see it yet.

We show up in faith, but can't see it yet.

That's a hard place.

Have you ever been in that place?

Man, I've been in that place, man, where I've been believing.

I'm believing and I'm standing and I'm believing and I'm standing, but I'm just not seeing.

Impatience is the enemy to your harvest.

Let me repeat that again.

Let that hit.

Impatience is the enemy of your harvest.

Something happens in impatience.

We begin to make our own decisions in impatience.

Impatience is how we veer off the path.

If you're beard off the path and impatience, I veered out, trust me.

Man, I've been in those moments where I say, you know what?

I'm gonna just do it this way.

I'll tell you what, impatience has never helped my situation.

I can guarantee you that.

My wife is sitting in the front, she can shake her head.

Yes, my his impatience is my impatience.

Uh my impatience has never helped my situation.

Many a time.

I've been I've been like, man, we we need to do something, and and praise God for the woman.

Because she said, uh, have you prayed?

I said, Oh, I've been praying.

And did God say something?

I mean, not really.

Well then we gotta wait.

And I'm like, yo, but but but I think I if we could do this, and then she's like, no, no, no, no, no.

We gotta wait.

Everybody say, wait.

And we can't give up on ourselves.

See, Paul is is sharing this, and he's he's talking to you, he's talking to me.

Not hey, you know, don't give up on them.

No, he said, don't give up on yourself.

And we've been believing for things, we've been standing in faith for things we can't give up on ourselves.

Why?

Because faith is growing, faith is building up, it's a welling up.

Man, have you ever seen something like when when you're like when you're blowing up a balloon, man, you're blowing, and you're you know, I there's this this raft that my my wife's got, Pastor Michelle, she be loving her some rafts.

And I'll tell you what, there's this one raft, she's like, oh babe, we can't go to the beach without the raft.

And I'm like, and I try to lose the raft, I try to like hide it, you know?

And and we be we pack up the truck, and and and and she's at some point she's she's looking around.

I don't see my raft, and I said, Oh, because I wasn't trying to bring it.

Um, I said, Oh, you know, I think it's in the back, it's kind of hard to get.

Well, we can't leave until we get it.

But you know, the challenge with the raft, you gotta you gotta blow this thing up.

And I said, you know, then I'm like, man, honey, you know, I got asthma, you know, you're trying to instantly take me out right here.

But we can't give up, right?

We gotta keep.

And we gotta, even though we don't see it over time, right?

It takes a few minutes, but at some point there's a welling where man that inflates and it can support something.

See, our faith builds up to support something.

There's something that happens in the welling up and the build-up.

We can't grow weary.

Paul is warning us again that weariness is coming.

We can expect this, we can expect to feel a little bit tired, we can get discouraged, and sometimes we just want to quit.

Sometimes we feel like the answer just walk away.

You know, sometimes I, you know, as I was thinking about this, I was like, you know, sometimes we feel like the the the right answer is like, oh, well, this is too hard, God.

This must not be you.

Where in his scripture did he say, yo, just believe in this is gonna be easy?

I I I've yet to find that that passage of scripture.

He said, No, no, no, wait on me.

Trust in me.

Hey, it's gonna get hard out here, though.

How many know it gets hard?

But he's letting us know, hey man, weariness is gonna come.

But it's in the waiting, something's happening in the waiting, something's happening in in the trusting, right?

We're in again, in the intersection of belief and trust that we are tested.

And I talk about Waze all the time, and it was funny because just the other day we're we're driving, I had the girls in the car, and sure enough, Waze is telling me, hey man, go this way.

And you know, God's not done with me yet either, guys.

And what happened in my impatience?

I was like, I think I can, and literally the girls were like, Dad, you preach about this all the time.

Would you follow the ways?

Just trust the the GPS, and sometimes that's what the Holy Spirit is telling us.

Hey man, trust man, I know you're trying to take a step this way, stay on the course.

And that's the nudging of the Holy Spirit.

We said, hey man, get man, we show up on Sunday.

Just get in the room because in the room is where faith is built.

Man, get in the room because man, that's that's where you're gonna get surrounded by some people that can believe with you.

Amen.

Have you guys been weary before?

Man, I'll tell you what, I've been weary before.

We gotta keep it weary in church today, okay?

He knows you you've been weary, okay?

But I love this scripture in Psalms 126, 5 and 6.

I'm gonna read it from the New Living Translation.

It says, Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.

Man, they weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

What is this telling us?

Hey man, sometimes it's showing up, and hey man, I've been in tears and I have to break the ground and sow a seed because I believe.

Man, I've been in tears, I've been tired, man.

But I break the ground, I sow seed, and I say, Man, let the tears water the ground, but I'm gonna keep moving and I'm gonna keep believing, I'm gonna keep trusting, I'm gonna let the ground break and the seed fall.

And let me tell you, in those tears, God is working.

But there's something in the in the going, there's something when we keep moving, there's something about trusting in the seed in the ground.

Let me go to my title.

Your seed is still working, your seed is still working because you can't see it doesn't mean it's not working.

The seed is still working.

It's like your neighbor, your seed is still working.

There's a season that's coming.

There's a season that's coming.

The word of God says there's due time.

A due season, a divine time, man.

God's exact and perfect time for a plan, a promise, and a blessing to unfold.

That's what the divine time means.

Man, there's something about God time.

God time is just perfect.

When you wait on God's time, man, it's different.

Because, you know, there's moments, you know, we we were just giving thanks the other day for a miracle that we are believing for.

And and it was God time.

Because, you know, sometimes when it's God's time, it's you're at literally the end of your rope, and you realize, okay, I'm out of moves.

Because as much as we say, no, I'm trusting the Lord, man, you're still trying to.

And you're trying to navigate, you're trying to figure, you're like, man, what I gotta call somebody, I gotta do something.

No, no, God, I'm trusting you.

But man, let me get in here just in case, you know.

Uh and we're we're telling God, I got your back.

It's okay, just in case you you late to this thing.

I I I'm gonna work on my end.

But in God time, you get to this point where, okay, I got nowhere else to go.

I'm at the edge.

And now it's you or nothing.

And and God time reminds me, I was always gonna show up.

It was not about your ability, it was not about your power, it's not about what you can finagle, what you can kind of work out on your own.

That's why I love God time.

Because, man, at the end, all I can say is God.

It was God.

Man, I was at the end of my rope, but God.

Because sometimes God's trying to show up, but you're trying to do something, and then and you talk something like, oh, I would I was able to do.

And God said, no, no, no, no.

It's gonna be my glory.

Because it's it there's gonna be no doubt that I had to show up in the midst of you.

Have you ever had God just show up in a God moment?

I love it because God moments are perfect.

The word of God says, man, the blessing of God brings no sorrow with it.

We're gonna pick up the scripture in Isaiah, chapter 40, verse 31, in the amplified.

Isaiah 40:31

Verse 31, it says, but those, everybody say, but those who wait for the Lord.

I love it.

In the parentheses, it says, who expect, look for, and hope in him.

See, there's something about those.

He's not talking about everybody.

He didn't say everyone who no, but those.

Why?

Because man, there are those that say no, it's hard.

I can't see it, but I'm gonna keep sowing, I'm gonna keep believing, I'm gonna keep showing up.

Why?

Because I'm one of those who expect.

One pastor said it.

He said, God doesn't need your strength, he just wants your surrender.

God doesn't need your strength, he wants your surrender.

And that scripture goes on to say those who wait on the Lord will gain new strength.

You see, those, those will gain new strength and renew their power.

See, in one scripture he's saying, you're gonna grow weary, but man, if we learn how to wait right, when we learn how to trust in the Lord, what happens?

Hey man, new strength is coming.

New strength is gonna meet us.

It says that he will renew their power.

Why?

Because every day we wake up and we choose at the intersection of belief and trust.

Man, God, you're gonna show up.

Man, God, you're gonna meet me today.

Man, I remember one uh phrase, it said, today is the day.

And I remember the story of these guys uh that every day they were they were like treasure hunters out looking for some treasure out in the ocean.

And they were like, hey man, today is the day, and and literally years.

This wasn't like a couple, years.

This it was a family that had a ship and they were year after year, day after day, man, today is the day.

They woke up, man, today is the day.

They woke up the next day, today is the day.

Man, how many know that's a welling up of faith inside of you?

Hey man, today is the day.

I don't know what's gonna happen, but today might be that day.

Today is the day.

And why that story matters, because one day, you know what happened?

They found the treasure.

They found the treasure.

There's something about understanding, man, when we wait well, when we trust in God.

It says they will lift up their wings and rise up close to God like eagles rising toward the sun.

They will run and not become weary, they will walk and not grow tired.

Man, it's just something about waiting well.

There's something about waiting well in the intersection of belief and trust.

If we could tie these ideas together, there's this story, and and I've I've kind of talked a little bit here and there about the story of Joseph.

What an incredible story.

And if you look at it chronologically, it was 13 years from the moment God spoke to him and gave him a dream and the flourishing of that.

13 years.

Well, I say 13 years.

You know, you hear 13 years, and if God told you today, hey, if you trust in me right now, in 13 years, it's gonna be a blessing for you.

That'd be kind of, it'd be like, that's a little bit long time.

But okay, I can I can do three.

Why?

Because I got a timeline.

I know, hey man, hey, when I'm at month you're year 10, I'm like, oh, we're getting close.

Oh man, they're about to come.

Oh man, year 11, oh man, I'm knocking on the door.

Year 12, I'm counting down the days and the months.

At some point, I got it to the hours.

You see, but when God doesn't tell you 13 years, you know, in the military, uh, in Navy SEAL training, uh, one of the parts of this training in the beginning of this boot camp they go through, uh they lose almost the most of their recruits.

And it's a run.

And it's on the beach, and it's not timed, and there's no distance given.

They say run until we say stop.

And you have guys that man, they're running like it's a race, but there's no there's no destination.

You say just run.

And man, they start running.

And at some point, people just start giving up.

And they give up.

And and and what I love about Navy SEAL training, you give up.

You gave up on yourself.

We didn't tell you you don't fit.

No, you gave up on yourself, and there's people that quit and they're running, and and it doesn't matter how fast you go or how slow you go, you just gotta keep running until they tell you to stop.

So, you know, you got guys that just you know, they offer a job, and you got those that are running, like it's it's there's a track meet.

And he said, we lose the most people in that run.

Why?

Because at some point you get in your head, man, how long are we gonna keep going?

I don't got any more energy, I don't got any more strength, how long is this gonna go?

And they quit.

They quit on themselves.

And he said, usually the run is only about two miles or so, three miles.

But so many people quit because they just don't see the end, they don't know where they're running to, there's no clear destination.

So we're gonna rapid fire Joseph's life.

It's in starts in Genesis chapter 37, and there's this moment where uh Joseph's father Jacob shows favor on Joseph, and he gives him he gives him this coat of many colors, this robe.

And how many know that that favor marks you?

You know, favor marks your life.

And what happens is sets the stage where his brothers, man, they don't like him.

How many know haters gonna hate?

That's just a reality.

Haters gonna hate.

And people don't want to see you succeeding.

Or when you got favor on your life, uh, you know, I remember one time, and I always thank God for favor.

Man, I remember one time in a room, God would just give me favor.

And I remember at some point, some somebody in the back of the room, I mean, didn't barely even know this guy.

He was like, he called me on something, and I was like, brother, I can't help favor.

Like I didn't say it out loud, but in my mind, because he was hating.

And I was like, I can't help favor.

I mean, that's just that that's God, that's not me.

What happens?

Man, favor is on Joseph's life.

And in this moment, at the age of 17, he has a dream that he tells his brothers.

He caught a vision.

How many of God speaks to us?

Man, sometimes God shows us some things, God begins to reveal some things to us.

I remember at some point when I was coming up, man.

At some point, man, I could see man, God doing something and using me in some way.

Man, it was a vision that began to well up.

And in Joseph, God gave him a vision, God gave him this dream, and he saw sheaves of grain and the sun and the moon and 11 stars, and it said, all the sheaves of grain bowed to him, and his brothers hated him even the more.

God was working something, but can I tell you something?

Vision isn't for everyone to hear.

You can't share vision with blind people, you can't share vision with blind people.

You can't share sometimes vision with your bestie because your bestie is blind.

You know, you think there's people that are for you.

But the moment they start hearing that there's something on your life, that God is about to do something, man, that they're quick to try to snuff out the fire.

You'd be surprised how many people pull out that the like the the the uh you know, like uh the fireman that have this blanket, it's really heavy, dude, to put out fire.

And and they come with their blankets to try to snuff out the fire that God is trying to kindle in your life because they weren't meant to hear your vision, they weren't here to they they didn't have the ears to hear what God was trying to speak.

Come on now, and what happens?

We move on in the story, and at some point, his brothers begin to conspire and they throw him in a pit.

But I like the sound of that.

They threw him in a pit.

Everyone's like, that don't sound good to me.

No, uh oh, when you when you think of where does the seed gotta go?

Seed's gotta go on the ground.

How many know we have to be the first seed?

Sometimes, man, we find ourselves in the hole, but that's just that I gotta look at, hey, I'm the first seed, God.

And you you gotta do it in me, God.

So you know what?

If I gotta get in the ground here, that's okay because something's gonna happen when I'm in the ground.

And what happened?

Joseph's brothers sell him into slavery.

And I'll tell you, right here, right here, some of us would already give up.

We would have got excited.

Oh, God gave me a dream, man.

I told my brothers the dream, I told my dad the dream, I told my cousin the dream.

Man, I'm excited.

God is doing something.

And the moment, man, someone came to snuff out the fire, you would have said, Man, that's not for me.

That must be for somebody else.

Maybe I heard it wrong.

Why?

Because we can get weary, and we just started.

We just started.

Joseph just started, but he had a dream, and he held on to that dream.

So the next phase, Joseph goes and works for a man called Potiphar.

And and the the you know how I know that he held up, he held on to the dream?

Because everywhere that Joseph would show up, favor met him.

Everywhere show uh he showed up in a room, man, God met him there.

And it says that he gained favor with Potiphar.

And at some point, man, he he he he was on the come-up.

And he became, man, the head in in Potiphar's home.

But how many know?

When there's favor on your life, when God's trying to do something, the enemy is quick to try to snuff out the fire.

And what happens?

I guess I guess Joseph, you know, he was he was a looker.

I don't know.

But but Potiphar's wife had eyes for him.

And at some point she tried to seduce Joseph.

But because he had a dream, his heart was turned toward the Lord, he said, No, that's not for me.

And he ran.

And Potiphar's wife accuses him of rape.

And what happens to Joseph?

He gets thrown in prison.

And for some of us, we would have stopped there.

Some of us would have stopped, hey man, I'm a slave now?

Like, this is where you got me, Lord.

How many have that ever had that internal monologue in your mind?

Man, this is where I'm at, God?

You call me?

This is where I showed up.

Man, God, you call me.

This is what I'm doing now.

I'm sure that's what he felt like in Potiphar's house, but he didn't give up.

Some of us would have quit at Potiphar's house.

For sure, we get thrown in jail for something we didn't do.

We would have stopped right there and said, I'm out, God, I'm out.

You can keep your dream, you can keep it all.

Uh, I mean, this is not working out for me.

Because how many know sometimes in our world it feels like it's all crumbling down?

Sometimes when we're in our own mind and we're in our own space, man, it feels like, man, God, I can't catch a break.

Have you ever had that internal monologue before?

But what happens?

He has a dream, he's holding on to a dream.

How do I know that that Joseph was waiting well?

How do I know that Jason, uh, that Joseph in in in the intersection of belief and trust?

How do I know that he was holding on to God dearly?

Because God was still showing up.

Because he made it a prison.

How many know?

Even in prison, he was in favor.

Even in prison, he he started running things in prison.

He started prison ministry, I guess.

I don't know.

He was out there uh working, but favor was meeting him every room he stepped into.

God's gifts were moving over his life, the power of God was being revealed.

Why?

Because he didn't give up on the dream, he was waiting well, he was trusting in the Lord.

Guys, this is years now.

He's not 17.

This is not him at 19, man.

This is years down the road.

But he's got a dream tucked.

He's got it tucked under his arm.

He's still believing and he's still, man, God, you're you're still the same God that I believed at 17.

You're still the same God that I believe, man, in the pit.

You're still the same God.

That I believe when I got into Potter for Show, you're still the same God, even though I'm here and I was accused of something I didn't do.

God, you're still God and you're still with me.

Don't let your present circumstance dictate his response.

How many know God sometimes he gets us in the setup?

Sometimes the setup don't feel good.

Just be real.

He's had me in some setups that I'm like, alright.

I'm trying to wait well, Lord.

Help a brother out though.

So what happens?

There's this moment where in prison, there's a the Pharaoh's baker and the wine test are in prison with him, and they have different dreams.

And because Joseph still pursuing God, still trusting God, still believing, but he's got his vision tucked under his arm safely.

The power of God shows up and he begins to interpret dreams in prison.

He tells the baker his dream and what it means, and he tells the wine tester his dream and what it means.

And at some point they get called to the king and uh and and and and pharaoh, and it's the last response, hey man, don't forget me when you go in front of the Pharaoh.

How many know people forget you?

Because he got forgotten.

Let's keep it real.

How many know?

Two more years from the time he interprets those dreams.

And I'm sure maybe after you interpreted that that dream, he was like, Oh man, I'm about to get out.

And I'm sure every morning he was like, Man, today might be that day.

Man, today, man, I'm that wine, that wine taster, man.

I got him a good one there.

He's still kicking, he's still out there.

He sees the Pharaoh every day.

I mean, at some point you're gonna drop my name, it's gotta happen.

But what I believe is Joseph wasn't waiting on a circumstance, he was waiting on God.

Two different things.

So sometimes we're waiting for circumstances to meet us, and because we're waiting and we're looking at something and not him, man, we get discouraged.

Because sometimes the circumstance isn't what God is gonna use.

Sometimes God is not gonna use the thing that you think he's gonna use.

That's why we got to keep our eyes on him and say, God, I don't know what you're gonna do, but God, you're gonna show up.

I don't know how you're gonna do it, but God, you're gonna do it.

I gotta keep my eyes on you.

Because circumstances can change, things can change, people are fickle, but God, you're the same yesterday, today, and forevermore.

Two years.

Two years, and you know what?

Nothing changed in Joseph.

Two years, and he's still showing up every day in excellence.

He's still showing up, serving in prison, man, leading in prison.

But one day, everybody say one day.

Man, come on, due season.

One day, Joseph hears there's a or actually uh a Pharaoh has a dream, and none of his people can interpret this dream.

How many know God be making room for you?

And no one could do, or no one can answer, and no one can figure out how to explain Pharaoh's dream, but the wine tester, the wine tester, he says, Man, you know what?

I know a guy.

I mean, I got a guy, you know, you know, I got a guy, I got a guy, and he says, Man, I got this guy, Joseph.

He's in jail.

So they call Joseph out of jail and bring him before Pharaoh.

And Joseph hears out Pharaoh's dream, and God begins to give him the interpretation.

Why?

Because he was always connected, why?

Because he didn't stop hearing from God, he had a vision, he knew who God was in his life, and he said, God, my circumstance didn't dictate what you're gonna do in the midst of me.

So the moment he gets in front of Pharaoh, man, the Holy Spirit begins to give him the interpretation of this dream, and he begins to share with him the seven years of plenty and the seven years of famine, and Joseph begins to give him advice on what he needs to do.

And I love this part.

Everybody say the same day, the same day.

This guy was in prison 13 years, from 17 to this moment, and not just one day, but the same day.

He interprets the dream.

And Pharaoh makes him second in command in his kingdom.

Man, not only does he give him second command in his kingdom, he instantly becomes uh one of the wealthiest people in the kingdom, and on top of that, he gets married the same day.

Everybody say the same day.

Man, there's something about when God shows up the same day can make all the difference.

I'll tell you what, I'm sure he wasn't thinking about the 13 days in that moment or 13 years in that moment, but he was, man God, you are faithful.

Man God, you showed up.

You showed up for me in this moment.

Favor, harvest, due season and due time.

Man, there was a blessing that was waiting.

There was a setup that was waiting, but if Joseph hadn't travailed all that he travailed, he would have never got here.

And that's the part that I want you guys to grasp today.

Man, it's hard right now, but you don't know the setup.

You don't know the setup, man.

You don't know what faith that God is building in the travailing as you're in this intersection, man, of belief and trust.

And you're saying, man, God, on one hand, I could just go doing what I was doing before, man, but on the other hand, I can continue to trust, I can continue to sow, I can continue to believe, I can continue to show up, and I know at some point there is a due season that will meet me.

Harvest will meet me.

Don't let delay derail you, don't let delay blind you, and don't let delay rush you.

Timing is everything.

The right thing at the right time is always the right thing.

But the right thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing.

How many know you could be in the right thing and you're not letting it cook enough for God to show up?

And you produce the wrong thing.

Man, don't put your hand in something that God told you to keep your hands off of.

That's the problem.

We feel like, oh, let me help you out here, God.

I got you.

He don't need your help, young God.

Don't get me, okay?

As we're wrapping this.

Yeah.

I'm heating up right now.

You know, today, we might find ourselves in this middle ground right now.

Where we've been sowing, watering, and waiting.

Man, I've been in these spaces of sewing, watering, and waiting.

I mean, I'm in and I'm in a season right now sewing and I'm watering and I'm waiting.

And that leads to a wondering.

Can I tell you, God is not finished?

He's cooking.

He's cooking.

I love when God cooks.

I love when God is cooking.

Because, man, I know whatever's gonna come is gonna be good.

Don't let delay make you question the seed.

Keep showing up.

Keep believing.

Keep trusting.

Man, I always say rinse and repeat.

Man, keep showing up.

Keep believing and keep trusting.

Keep believing and keep trusting.

What did I say last week?

Man, it's like when every day, man, every every morning, man, I'm starting a new fire again.

I get my my my two little flints, right?

The two little rocks.

And I and man, God, I gotta spark this fire every day.

I gotta spark faith every day.

I gotta spark belief every day.

And I start rubbing my rocks together.

What is my rocks?

Felief, belief, and trust, belief and trust, belief and trust.

And I spark faith to believe.

Okay, God, you're gonna show up.

Maybe today is the day.

Because what God has ordained for the right time can't be rushed.

You say that again.

What God has ordained for a right time, an assigned time cannot be rushed.

Sometimes we're so preoccupied with an outcome.

Man, we're missing it.

I hear this expression all the time don't miss the forest for the trees.

Why?

Because we're so focused on an outcome.

But I don't know what God is doing between me and the outcome.

Man, but if I if I pay attention to what's happening here, God said, Hey man, I know you've been looking at You know think about this.

If you're gonna try to rush a cake, put it in the oven.

What is it?

The pumpkin chai cake.

I mean it's incredible.

We can get you guys on that thing.

But I remember the first couple times that she made it.

And what happened?

Man, we pull that thing out of the oven, it smelled great.

I was like, ooh, I don't know what's going on.

This thing's fire right here.

Pulls it out of the oven, it smells incredible.

Then we put it out, and at some point we go to cut it in.

What happens in the middle?

It's still wrong.

It's not ready.

Just because it looks good on the outside.

Just because it smells good doesn't mean it's ready.

That's the problem.

We're trying to pull our stuff too quick.

You gotta leave that thing in the oven.

You gotta let that thing sit.

Delay doesn't mean denial.

Joseph's story reminds us that the pit, the slavery, the prison.

It wasn't waiting for proof that God had forgotten him.

It was preparation for what God was going to do.

He was becoming.

His faith was growing.

Why?

Because in the duration, he didn't stop believing.

He stayed the course.

And as we went through that story, again, it's one of those men do the self-check.

Hey man, would I have stopped at the pit?

Probably.

Man, would I have stopped?

Man, when they made me a slave, probably.

Man, would I have stopped when they when they falsely accused me of something?

Probably.

Would I have quit at some point being in jail and not seeing how I was gonna get out?

Probably.

Man, when you got a word.

Man, hold on to that word.

Do I got any avocado lovers in the room today?

I got some.

I know my girls be loving some avocado.

And some mangoes.

How many like some mangoes?

Oh, come on now.

You know, it it takes a farmer five to ten years to produce that.

You got it on demand.

But they had to wait.

You got an experience patience that someone else had to wait for for a new season.

You got it like that.

See, but somebody somewhere else had to have patient endurance.

And they planted seed and they watered it and they waited.

And they planted more seed and they watered it and they waited.

And they planted more seed and they waited and they went and what happened?

In year three, nothing.

In year four, nothing.

In year five, maybe nothing.

In year six, maybe.

Oh, I got something cooking.

I got something cooking.

And maybe it was in year seven.

Man, look at this.

Look at these avocados, man.

They're looking good.

Right.

They begin to pull the avocados.

Now you know what the blessing is?

They didn't stop sowing.

So there was avocados here, and they went to the next one.

Oh man, I got more avocados here.

And I got more avocados here.

And because I didn't stop planting, I want more avocados.

There's someone waiting to experience the fruitfulness of what you have.

But you gotta keep sowing the seed and watering the seed and keep moving.

Sow some seed and water that seed.

Why?

Because, man, you can go to the store today and there's some avocados.

Why?

Because someone somewhere else is doing the waiting.

And they're continuing to plant.

And they're continuing to plant.

For those that are taking some notes today, three things I want you to walk away with.

Number one, don't grow weary in the middle.

Don't grow weary in the middle.

The hardest place is often between the seed and the harvest.

Keep praying, keep sowing, keep showing up.

Just because you can't see it doesn't mean that God isn't working.

There's a root system that's coming in place before you see the flourishing.

God's trying to get you rooted.

You know, it's like when you plant something prematurely.

And just because you see, oh, look at that tree is ready to go.

The roots aren't set.

And I and I remember when I first built my house, uh, we we had some trees in the backyard and it looked nice because they would they look almost matured.

And oh look at that.

In the first storm, you know what happened?

Boom, knocked over.

I said, yo, what happened to my beautiful trees?

The roots didn't set.

It looked good, but the roots weren't set.

God said, Hey man, you gotta let the roots settle.

Why?

Because I want to make sure, man, when those storms of life come, man, you can wait well.

Because you're not gonna be moved, you're not gonna be shifted.

Number two, don't let delay make you question the seed.

Don't let delay make you question the seed.

Joseph's pit prison and years of waiting weren't wasted.

Everybody say preparation.

It's preparation for a due season.

Delay is not denial.

Sometimes God is developing what you'll need for and what he's preparing.

I love these ideas.

Why?

Because man, sometimes in the waiting and then the preparation, man, you you you can pull from the people that already had waited.

And that's why it's so important to be in the house.

I remember in one season of waiting, and I'm in the intersection of trust and belief.

Got on the phone with another farmer, Pastor Daniel, and I said, Man, I don't see it.

I don't know how this is gonna happen.

You know what he said?

Hey man, I I've already got orchards and I had to wait, and this is what waiting looked like.

And these are the moments that I believe for God to show up, and this is how he showed up.

So if he did it for me, why can't he do it for you?

See, sometimes we gotta hear and see another orchard and say, Hey man, how'd you get those plants, man?

How'd that grow so healthy?

Man, what are you doing over there?

That's what we get in around people that got faith that can that can blow a little wind on the fire.

And I said, Okay, I can keep waiting.

And what happens when we wait well?

God shows up.

Amen.

The last one, number three.

Your waiting is producing something for someone else.

Your waiting is producing something for someone else.

A farmer, a farmer may wait for years for a harvest that others enjoy in minutes.

Someone may one day benefit from the fruit of your faithfulness today.

Don't quit in the season that God is using to prepare the harvest.

Man, I'll tell you what, man, there's stories that I hear that man bring faith, but you know what?

I know that they had to wait for the harvest.

And I said, Oh man, that's good.

I mean, that's some good fruit.

Let me get that.

Man, God is saying, Hey, I need you to flourish.

Why?

Because there's fruit that you're producing that someone else needs.

Your story is not wasted, amen.

What you're travailing is not wasted.

Man, sometimes in the crushing and in the pressing, the oil that God is trying to produce, man, that comes in the waiting.

It's hard.

As we close it, we can stand to our feet this morning.

Hallelujah.

Man, thank you, Jesus.

We can close our eyes and lift up our hands for just a moment here.

I truly believe that God has been speaking this morning.

That God is speaking this morning.

I believe this is a fresh word for somebody today.

This is a prophetic message for someone today on waiting.

Well, man, your seed is not forgotten.

The seed is buried but not forgotten.

For those that are in the middle ground right now, you've prayed, you've believed, you've sown, you've waited.

And if you're honest with yourself right now, you're tired.

You've been asking, God, when?

How much longer?

Did you forget about me?

Thank you, Lord.

Can I remind you today that you're right on schedule?

You're right on schedule.

The seed is in the ground and God is still working.

Your story is not over.

The author has plenty of chapters to go.

So today I want to invite you to meet us up here.

We want to pray not just with you, but for you.

If those that say, hey man, I just need some strength in this journey.

I need some strength right now.

I want to invite you to the front.

If you need some prayer, we want to meet you in prayer right now.

This word is for somebody.

But this is from more than one person.

Let's go.

Don't think, just do.

Respond because God is moving in this space today.

Man, if you're like, man, God, I'm trying to wait well, man, but it's hard.

I'm trying to wait well, but God, did you forget me?

God, man, I've been so in sheep, but I don't see it today.

God is here to meet you.

Man, if you've been struggling, man, the wait is over, man.

If you've been tempted to give up, can I tell you what?

God is still working.

Man, if you need to be renewed in your strength and restored in your faith today, this is your moment.

Bring your waiting, bring your questions, and bring your weariness.

That you're moving in power.

That you're working, you're renewing, you're restoring, and you're reflecting, Lord God, new strength today, Lord God.

New strength today, Lord God.

Oh Lord God, we're weary in the waiting today, Lord God.

The speed is very but not, forgotten.

That speed is working in speed, that's me.

That speed is working in feeds, that's me.

Oh, trustman.

There's another spot here that got a speaking.

There's another trust here that got a sticking.

You want to believe in today.

Oh Lord God, there's a strength in the waiting today.

There's a strength in the waiting.

There's a strength in the believing today, Lord God.

Oh Lord God, there's an encounter coming in the waiting today, Lord God.

There's something fresh that's happening, Lord God.

I we cast out every tear right now that the enemy has tried to plant today, Lord God.

Oh, he can't ruin the ground today.

I just declare healing today, Lord God, restoration today, Lord God.

Oh, right now in the name, nothing is wasted, no time has been wasted.

No time has been wasted today, Lord God.

Oh, right now in the name of Jesus, Lord God, we give you all the honor and all the glory today, God.

Oh, right now, if you're in the room and you say, Man, I don't know this Jesus that this pastor is talking about.

Maybe you've walked away and you said, Man, I need to recommit my life today.

If that's you in the room, you're in the right place today.

The word of God says in Luke 9 23, if anyone wants to follow me, deny yourself.

Following Jesus begins with surrender, not strength, surrender, and a simple decision to trust Him.

In Romans 10:13, it says, Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved.

Today we need to rededicate.

Today we need to say, Man, I need to get this thing right.

Repeat after me.

Let's hear it in the room.

Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus.

I confess my sin.

I need your grace.

I believe Jesus died for me and rose again.
