I remember hearing that song for the first time. When I first
-
got saved, I started listening to. I'd
-
of concerts. And then when I got saved,
-
I started listening to. I was introduced
-
to the cathedral quartet. Hot dog boy,
-
up before I jump to the next section.
-
And we're going to do something, actually,
-
on the back counter by the bookstore
-
if you want to grab one. We're going to
-
three. We only have six sections, and it
-
we'll get finished. We will get finished
-
with it. And if we get finished sooner,
-
I'm not going to go over the whole thing.
-
you shall surely die. And while he did
-
And the curse set in. But his spirit
-
died. And that part of man that God used
-
So man's innate ability to communicate
-
with God was gone. And because man's spirit
-
and completely depraved. We talked about.
-
a vacuum in their heart. And a lot
-
of times I've heard preachers and people
-
It's not a God created vacuum. It's a
-
is more to life than what they are presently
-
the Bible when it says none. There's
-
none that seek after God. No, not one.
-
he drew you to him. And God does use
-
not by corruptible seed. So this is why.
-
That's why we knock doors. That's why we
-
for I am not ashamed of the gospel of
-
To the jew first, and also to the greek,
-
the father which hath sent me. Draw him.
-
through other people, and through the word
-
it is hid to them that are lost in whom
-
the minds of them which believe not.
-
And then secondly, he works so hard at
-
We don't care about those that are lost.
-
us to stay that way. I've often said
-
truth. We don't like the hard truths, but that's
-
to what the Bible says. There's none
-
is no fear of God before their eyes?
-
with me. But how to perform that which
-
is good? I find not every time I want
-
of it all the time. Always we try to
-
And so we have to make that decision.
-
Can you believe that? I mean, I do believe
-
it because I'm reading it and it's in
-
The Lord doesn't just put words in the
-
to be a spot that needs a word. Right.
-
Every imagination of the thoughts of his
-
There's some serious emphasis going on here.
-
512, wherefore, as by one man, sin entered
-
next door. Hard to believe, but it's absolutely
-
in the ways that it did in the days
-
of lot or in the days of Noah. I'm sure
-
not on your street, but it does. It manifests
-
as by one man. I just read that, but
-
of people in America are not saved.
-
They have had the privilege and the benefit
-
We have that legacy. We may not be christian
-
so this country is still considered.
-
You know, if you want to compare it to some
-
of the uttermost parts of the earth,
-
so that they do not reflect a nation
-
with judeo christian foundations. And
-
it might not take one more generation
-
for us to find ourselves in the same condition
-
after them which knew not the Lord, nor
-
did evil in the sight of the Lord and
-
Baal and Ashtaroth. And I'm glad that
-
we do live in the age of grace. I'm
-
But I'm glad we live in the age of grace.
-
he must earn his way to heaven and that
-
is the thought of Mandev. This is the
-
in America think. Well, surely God's.
-
go to church. I give to the church.
-
I give to the Baptist Mission Society or
-
And so I'm a pretty good. Surely all
-
of that counts for something. And I'm
-
That is how the people that we're going
-
to be speaking to, door to door, going
-
So God will not count all his efforts
-
as meaningless. We've got to help them
-
sin. I'm not talking about original sin
-
that everyone who is born into this world
-
heart breaking it can be. We have to get
-
the way backward equals progress is when
-
the wrong way, then we have to get them
-
going to have to turn around and go back
-
to move forward, you think about it.
-
do recognize the fact that you made
-
a mistake, but you just keep moving
-
I cannot stress this enough because
-
I think that we have definitely, especially
-
they first realize they're lost. We have
-
or getting a, getting a, you know, a
-
of salvation, it's possible to give
-
simply because they pray to prayer and they
-
as wretched. Most people don't see themselves
-
to people who are worse off than they
-
an hour in a 60 and everybody else is
-
a couple of verses real quick before
-
we move on to our next portion here.
-
might abound. Now turn with me to chapter
-
the law was that which is good made death
-
it might appear sin, working death in
-
might become exceeding sinful. See, you
-
It will work in a person what God intended
-
it to do. The law is our schoolmaster to
-
why we have it. God didn't give it to
-
think that it is. Go ahead and look at
-
is the back of page. This is page 16.
-
than in hell. Everybody wants to believe
-
in heaven. No one wants to believe in
-
just the first couple. Look at all us
-
has exponentially increased in the last
-
You know, it has decreased exponentially
-
in the last three years. Christian influence
-
in this country. And so the numbers
-
are probably conservative here. All right,
-
a little piece of it each week until
-
we finish it. Now, again, there are
-
I hope that it's a good refresher for
-
of if you died to heaven, are you sure you're
-
who don't. Honestly, I run into atheists
-
I'm the expert on this, but it's been
-
used. And the Lord has just blessed it
-
to Jesus Christ, then keep doing it.
-
with your family, in a conversation with coworkers,
-
we're going to use our new move in bags.
-
have grabbed one. What was I thinking?
-
I wasn't thinking. That's all right.
-
We don't need it. So now our new move
-
who is not familiar with our new move
-
in bags? You have no idea what I'm talking
-
do that, you end up with apartment hoppers
-
So we have put together bags of, and
-
to their home with a bag and we say,
-
is a gift from us to you, basically.
-
That's it, right? It's pretty simple. But
-
the gospel with our community that we
-
you have a name and you have a gift.
-
You have a name and you have a gift.
-
So it immediately turns into a warm
-
door. It's a stranger, but you know their
-
and I'll back it up here in just a second.
-
know the name of the occupant, you are
-
me wrong. It's never wrong to do right.
-
the bag and leaving it at their door
-
lot better if you can give them the track
-
I will absolutely sound like a broken
-
I will sound mechanical each and every
-
in bag. Now, our new move in bag has
-
a cup, a nice cup with Heritage Baptist
-
I gave her the bag. I handed the bag
-
But I asked her, I said, well, don't
-
you drink coffee? I got a nice mug in
-
But I've only one time I've given a.
-
I don't know how many of these away.
-
but I'm not sure exactly how to pronounce
-
of course it says don't ring the doorbell.
-
I got baby sleeping and they're out
-
I think sometimes those come standard
-
with new homes. Now ring the bell first,
-
you like talking to doorbells. I refuse
-
to talk to a doorbell. So if it's a
-
I hate that. I hate it. I won't talk
-
So listen for the ring. If you don't
-
my pocket knife out of my pocket before,
-
do it. I'm telling you. You just want
-
I'm looking for tice Rippy. Now, tice
-
is an uncommon name. Is it nothing.
-
So I don't know if that's a man's name
-
or a woman's name. So I'm not going
-
to come up and say, I'm looking for
-
I don't know if that's a man's name
-
or that's not a common name, so I'm
-
I'm not going to say Mister tice Rippie,
-
or I'm not going to say, hello, tice,
-
name and you've already strike one? You're
-
do this. Hi, tice. And I try my best
-
to shake his hand. Hi, I'm tice. Actually,
-
I don't shake his hand. I'm holding
-
a bag and I've got a track in one half.
-
and a bag and. Hi, Tyce. My name is James
-
or they'll leave the dog inside and
-
to fight the dog and use that as an
-
who come to the door with a phone in
-
nobody even on the phone. They just, they
-
or they're going to give you an opportunity
-
to see whether you're worth their time
-
I know if they're fighting with the
-
what I do. I have dogs and they want to
-
Ippy, when we get, when we get this list
-
a month or two behind. So you probably already
-
if we're not behind on our list. All
-
I just love your home. I love this
-
and you've imposed anyway. You don't know what
-
or two. So my next question immediately
-
is going to be, have you had a chance
-
to find a church for you and your family
-
up so they can hear you. We don't go
-
to talk right now. He said, I don't
-
have time to talk right now. I'm not even
-
I don't like to use the term, but it
-
to somebody who wants to talk to you.
-
to have some excuse. Oh, I don't have
-
if he says, we don't, you know, he could
-
ways. Do you have a church? Did you grow up
-
We just don't believe. What's my answer?
-
All of these are great answers. The fact
-
He tells me that he believes in praying to
-
for me because I know how to approach this
-
in here would love to lead someone to
-
And you're never going to get to do that
-
and I. So let me extend an open invitation
-
to you. Our number is in the bag, and
-
the door. You took my bag. I want to
-
I would say, man, that's great. I hope
-
A brief summary of the church. Well,
-
coming to HBC. Just visiting with us. We've
-
24 years and we've got something for
-
or do you have anything for middle aged?
-
But you've just given them something,
-
you've just thrown something out there.
-
And if they start asking questions, that's
-
of the parks. Fact is, that's a non denominational
-
this is what I've experienced. Non denominational
-
I know what they believe. I know what
-
I can back it up. That circle is pretty
-
the fellowship of the parks. Where do
-
Man, that's great. Mister Rippie, I'm
-
You know what that tells me? That tells
-
is to win them to Jesus Christ. Mister
-
it is. I guess it is. I'm not going
-
to lie. It is a little. It is for a
-
the means. All right, so listen to what
-
on what church we went to. I know what
-
I've never had anybody say, yes, he will.
-
I say. Okay, so let me back up, I'll
-
how many people don't. Don't even believe
-
on what church we went to, right? Yeah.
-
to you? If you died today, are you 100%
-
I'm not exaggerating that you're going
-
to pass out. You're going to go out
-
is a Shaleen Steiger out there, right?
-
I thought I was going to get to. I
-
Was that helpful? Okay. I still believe,
-
I really, truly believe that the new
-
tool we have because you have a name and
-
to this home, and it's a warm call.
-
And whether they're home or not, if they're
-
to a cold call. How do I do that? Because
-
like, well, they don't look like Jehovah's
-
I guess I'll go ahead and I'll open
-
your curiosity is up because how does
-
he know my name? He knows my name. So
-
to let him go to the next step. But
-
a bag and you knock on the door and
-
can I help you? They already know they're
-
No, thanks. Not interested. Or if they
-
And so anyway, I hope that's helpful.
-
We're going to go over a little bit of
-
no way to anticipate every direction
-
that that's going to go. You just, you
-
By the way, this is my final, by the
-
an extra person. If you're coming by
-
Let us know ahead of time that you want
-
be willing to say, hey, I'm available.
-
I'll take somebody with me, man, that
-
get to go with Brother Frius. We've been
-
All right, I'm done. 759. All right,
-
let's stand together. We will not have
-
an invitation tonight. I hope that that
-
to be instructional. This is a taste of
-
have opportunities to ask questions not
-
Hell. He's saying now he gets to pray to.
-
us in prayer. Once again, I hope that
-
Let us pray. Dear gracious heavenly Father, we thank you for
-
And dear heavenly Father, whether you're
-
a new approach, a new angle, a new
-
one of us will apply it to our daily
-
in gas station conversations, in any
-
I just pray that you would burden our
-
are suffering. Pray that for our missionaries.
-
We always lift them up. And, Lord, we
-
Amen.
