Sustaining Revival in Daily Life

Hope you do your best to be back tonight.

Brother Brandon, the chairman of the pulpit committee is going

to give us some news tonight and some updates.

A lot of people wondering what's going on.

Why is it taking so long?

Well, there's a lot more to finding a pastor than you would think.

There's a lot of things we don't realize.

Oh, I never thought about that.

And, of course, there's not a lot of preachers out there that believe

what we believe.

They may have personality and they may have talent and they may

dress sharp and this and that and the other, but there's a lot

more to a preacher than that.

Amen.

But you want to be here tonight and kind of hear what's going

on and where we are.

And I look forward to seeing you back again tonight.

Going to be different today.

I had a message, too.

Both of my messages done early this week.

And, boy, last night, God just began to move me in a different direction.

And I was up late.

And I type all my sermons.

Every sermon I've preached since 19.

Well, actually before 75, probably around 73.

Every sermon I've preached I have typed and printed.

And that's a lot of sermons, and I don't repeat a lot of them.

I was taught in Seminary.

Hey, Dr. Earl Odom said, if it's not worth preaching twice, throw

it away.

But a lot of times preachers are embarrassed to preach the same

sermon twice.

But we have to learn to get over that, because most people don't

get it the first time.

In fact, a lot of preachers don't get it the first time.

But a little different today.

I just scribbled some things down and put a lot of prayer into

it.

And I hope you're praying with me.

And for me, in fact, it may be shorter, it could be longer.

I didn't want to get you too excited, but go ahead and be finding

a little book called Nahum Nahum.

You may have to use your index for that one.

You don't read a lot.

Maybe from that.

It's right after the Book of Micah, you say, well, that doesn't

help me.

Okay.

It's just before Habakkuk.

That doesn't help me.

So I'll give you a few minutes to find it.

But you enjoyed the revival?

Had a great revival.

Well, question.

Are you still having revival?

Are you having revival right now, or is it over?

Have you already felt kind of being swept up to go back to the

normal schedule and the normal feelings and the normal things?

I don't personally believe that God intended revivals to be

twice a year, a spring and a fall revival.

We can have revival meetings.

The question is, did we have a good meeting last week?

Yes, absolutely.

One of the best I've been in a long time.

But you can have a meeting without having revival.

And I want you to think about it.

I'm certainly not very good at planting things.

My wife has a green.

She has two green thumbs and green this.

And she's green.

She likes the plant and water and trim and all that kind of stuff.

But she taught me a long time ago.

She said, honey.

I like it when she calls me honey.

Babe, too, is good.

But she said, honey.

There's two kinds of plants.

Flowers.

He goes.

There's what they call annuals.

And then there's perennials.

And the annuals, they're short, lifetime.

They only bloom once a year.

That's about it.

They're done.

But a perennial plant comes back every year.

And it keeps coming back, and it keeps coming back.

And I want you to get a hold of that word.

Because that's the kind of revival God wants us to have.

Brother McCracken made that very clear, that God wants us to

live in revival.

And he said that has to do, of course, with the filling of the Holy

Spirit.

We learned a lot about that.

And some things that I'd not heard put quite that way were marvelous.

I took a lot of notes.

And so the question is, are you filled with the Holy Spirit right

this moment?

Right this moment?

You may be hesitant to raise your hand or to say anything, and

that's fine.

But do you feel that you not just had revival, but are you in

revival right now, this very moment?

You've heard me say before that so many times.

We Christians live such a subnormal life that when you meet

a normal Christian, you think he's abnormal.

This guy's crazy.

All he wants to do is talk about Jesus.

Yeah, we think he's abnormal.

That's the way we used to be.

And we don't mind talking about Jesus now and then.

But most people don't accuse us of talking too much about Jesus.

Am I by myself in here or somebody here?

Anybody home?

I know, I know.

I'm just kidding.

But you know what I'm saying.

Yeah, Revival.

On a scale of 1 to 10, Brother McCracken and his preaching and the

revival meeting we have, I would give it an 11.

It was fantastic.

But what about revival?

What's next?

We're going to slip back where we were.

God's Watching, and he's listening and he's waiting and it's

yet to be seen.

I know.

And please, I'm not upset this morning about anything.

But, you know, usually now, please listen to me.

Don't hear me say something I didn't say.

Okay.

God usually doesn't work with great crowds of people.

In fact, in God's economy, many times, less is more.

You ever heard that phrase, less is more?

But usually, if a revival really moves in a church, the choir's

bigger, the congregation's bigger, the money's bigger.

Not every time, but most of the time, people are on fire.

They want to get there.

They don't want to go home.

They want more, more, more.

Give me more.

I want to stay in revival.

We all get tired.

I mean, I was pretty tired last Thursday and took me a few more

hours than normal to kind of rest.

You were tired and some of you had to go to work.

See, if you'd be a preacher, you wouldn't have to work.

Some young man came to me the other day and said, I think I'm called

to preach.

How do you know?

He says, well, I'm craving fried chicken and I don't want to

go to work.

Yeah, you're probably called.

Just kidding.

But I want you to think about revival, and I want you to look at

the Book of Nahum.

A little verse there in chapter number one.

In fact, I have this verse printed on a.

Or engraved on a piece of metal, and it's in a frame.

My office.

In verse number three.

The Bible says, the Lord is slow to anger.

Thank God for that and great in power and will not at all acquit

the wicked.

What does that mean?

It means either we're cleared by the blood of Jesus or we're not.

He's not going to overlook sin.

Nobody gets away with sin.

I know we think they do, and it looks like the most do, but they're

not and they won't.

Okay, The Lord.

Now here's what I want you to focus on.

The Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm.

And here's kind of a neat little phrase for your imagination.

The clouds are the dust of his feet.

Can you picture that?

The clouds on a cloudy day, God walking across the sky and kicking

up dust.

Revival is a lot like that, you know, the Holy Spirit is kind

of described as a rushing, mighty wind.

We've been singing the song.

There shall be showers of blessings.

Mercy drops round us are falling but for the showers we plead.

And I was Praying, not just showers.

I was praying for a hard rain.

In fact, I said, lord, more than that, I'd like to see a flood,

a revival flood, a spiritual flood at Heritage Baptist Church.

And then I said, I'll tell you something even better than that,

Lord.

I'd like to just see a big storm, Lightning and wind and rain.

When we see a picture.

I got a picture here, Clayton, if you have that ready.

When we see this picture, it kind of startles us at first, doesn't

it?

Especially if you're from Texas.

I was raised in hurricanes.

I never saw tornadoes or cyclones or anything like that.

I saw pictures of them.

But we had hurricanes in Jacksonville, Florida, and they had

those big airplanes, the hurricane hunters.

And the house we lived in, the.

The hurricane hunters.

We were in the direct pattern.

They'd fly every day right over our house, huge and loud.

Big planes, had a big ball on top of them.

Some of you say, oh, yeah, I've seen those planes with a big

ball on top of them.

Huge.

And that's the radar.

And they attract storms.

And this isn't in the sermon, but I can't resist the temptation

to share it with you.

If you've ever read or studied or been in a hurricane, those hurricane

hunters, those pilots and planes, people and plane, the crew,

they would fly directly into a tornado, or maybe not so much the

tornado, but in a hurricane.

And, boy, that plane would rock and roll.

And, man, I tell you what, it was something.

I've seen actual footage of those pilots.

I mean, they are fighting it, and then all of a sudden, boom.

They're in the eye of the hurricane.

And it reminds me of heaven I've seen.

They take pictures of in the eye of the hurricane, and you can

look all the way around and see these black clouds of a hurricane.

But right there in the middle, it's like paradise.

They're just floating along.

You know, there's a good illustration that's a good illustration

for our Christian life.

We can't always control what's going on around us, but we can live.

Peace that passeth all understanding and joy that doesn't

depend on people.

I said joy that doesn't depend on people.

Some people lost their joy because of people.

Joy doesn't depend on people.

It doesn't depend on things.

In fact, sometimes the less we have, the more peace we have.

And yet we.

More.

I want more.

I want more.

There's nothing wrong necessarily with things until things

get in the way of God.

But joy doesn't depend on people or things or circumstances.

But when you see pictures like a tornado, you think of disaster.

People's lives, many times are changed forever.

They're never the same.

But what's interesting, always to me, it's fascinating to me, some

of you know what I'm talking about.

You've seen enough footage of tornadoes.

It's still.

You look at the picture, you shake your head because there's all

this.

And then right across the street, there's a house that has

not even been touched, not even missing a shingle.

Flowers are growing.

The tornado missed it.

And we can't control tornadoes, can we?

And we often wonder why.

How come that family got away with it and this family didn't?

But I don't want to think of it in a negative sense.

I want to think of it in a positive sense.

Because in a way, revival is like a storm.

And sometimes it takes a storm and.

And sometimes it takes maybe even a tornado.

Not literally.

I'm talking about spiritual things.

Now, are you with me?

But sometimes things kind of have to get pretty upset and rocked,

maybe even some damage into our personal, private, spiritual

lives to wake us up, help us to realize what's really important

and what really is valuable.

Why am I here?

And what difference does it all make?

And sometimes it takes a storm to shake us up.

But then the storm goes away.

Many times.

But I want to talk to you today about revival.

That stays.

It's not gone with brother McCracken.

Or at least it doesn't have to be.

You follow a man long enough, that man's going to disappoint you.

Brother Weatherby would disappoint you.

I can't believe Brother Weatherby.

I had him figured wrong.

I can't believe it.

If I could tell you one thing only, that would be hard to do.

But get your eyes off man.

They'll let you down every time.

Amen.

Not everybody agrees on anything.

Amen.

I've already been told by reliable sources that.

And I'm not mad about it.

But I've been told by reliable sources there's some families said,

I'll be back when Weatherby's gone.

Really, I'm not mad about that.

I mean, not everybody.

I'm still my wife's favorite preacher.

That's what's important to me.

Now, if she says, I'll be over at another church today, I say, mm,

mm, that'd be bad.

Amen.

But then people say, well, when Weatherby's gone, we'll be back,

save our seat.

And then I've had people say, well, when Weatherby leaves.

I'm leaving too.

You can't win if you put your eyes on man, you can't win.

That's why a lot of people are gone.

Because they had their eyes on a man instead of on Christ.

Jesus Christ.

The same yesterday, today and forever.

Hallelujah.

He changes not what a savior in a few days after a revival meeting

sometimes can be dangerous.

We can get sloppy.

We can slip back into a rut.

You know what a definition of a rut is?

It's a grave with both ends knocked out.

Think about that.

Sometimes we get in a rut.

Same old this, same old that.

It's almost like we're in a grave.

Sometimes we slip back.

We change channels in our mind, you know, that was great.

That was a good sermon.

And we go back to what we were watching.

If we're not careful, we can pray less.

I don't know how many of you prayed for the revival.

I would imagine everybody here probably did.

I don't know how much you prayed, but God doesn't necessarily

measure prayers by the length.

Amen.

It's the fervency.

It's the passion.

By the way, are your prayers passionate?

You know what passionate means?

Fervent, effectual prayer.

Passionate.

Do you need revival in your prayer life?

Sometimes after the revival, we.

Phew.

I was praying every day.

Several times a day.

All the time.

All day.

Well, revival's over.

Get back to normal again.

God forbid.

The last thing we need.

In these days is to be normal.

Usually when we hear storms, we hear about storms.

If we got any brains, we usually prepare for them, right?

There's storm warnings we hear, and the sirens go off.

And the news says, this area is under a storm warning.

But when they say a storm watch, that means you can see it.

That's different, isn't it?

Watch.

But once a storm, a real storm passes, we assume that that's over

and we relax.

Storm tornadoes, they usually leave a path.

This one, we don't get to see the picture, but I've been places

after, after a tornado hit, and if you.

You could look maybe four or five, maybe even longer, further,

and you could actually see the path that that storm followed, winding

and curving.

And it would jump here.

But you could just see.

You could see the results.

You could see the tracks.

You could track the storm.

Can you track a revival?

How do we know we've had revival?

Can you get back and look at the revival a few days after and

say, yep, there it is.

That's where it went.

It started right there last Sunday.

Morning and took off this way and went through this guy, this life

and this family and this one.

And then over here, it went through the teenager's life.

And it went over here and over here and we can actually see it.

Revival.

I didn't really plan to preach on revival today.

I mean, I thought, hey, that was great.

Let's go on.

What am I going to preach on this Sunday?

In fact, I was planning on preaching that sermon titled this

Is yous Life.

There used to be a program started way back in the 50s, this

is your life.

And they'd surprise somebody and interview and they said, this

is your life.

And they'd bring back friends from the past and read.

It was kind of a neat show.

This is your life.

People's lives are changed.

If it's a real revival, drastically.

Debris left behind, destruction, fear.

People fear God more after a revival.

They don't take God lightly.

They go, whoa, wow, that was something.

It changes our lives.

Revival changes you.

Are you changed?

Have you been changed or you act a little smarter?

You say, well, I understand filling of the Holy Spirit and Romans

7 and all that.

Well, that's great.

Nothing wrong with that.

You learn things, but you need to answer the question.

You don't have to answer me, but you need to look in your heart

and say, did my life change any after last week?

What changed did the kids say?

And some of you young people say, I don't know what's happened

to my dad, but he ain't the same.

Pardon the word ain't.

But he's different.

A week ago now, I mean, I know he was saved.

He's always been saved for as long as I've known him.

But something's happened to Daddy.

Something's happened to my mama.

Revival.

They were Christians, but man, they had revival.

Was it a good revival?

Yes.

Could it be just emotion?

I heard Brother McCracken one or two of those nights and I was

sitting down there and man, I just broke out in tears writing down

what I could.

Evidence.

Did it affect the way you went to work Thursday after the revival?

Did you look at work a different maybe a different.

Some people don't have a job.

At least they got one maybe.

Now it looks like a mission field.

I'm on fire.

I have revival.

Maybe I could win some of my co workers to Christ before the end

of 2026.

You didn't give that a lot of thought for the last six months or

so.

But now you had revival.

You want to tell somebody about Jesus?

Your home?

I tell you your church his heritage is going to slip back into

the same.

It's a great church.

Don't care what anybody tells you.

Defend your church.

Yeah, don't hang out with people that want to criticize the

church.

Andrea's doing our bulletin now and doing a great job on a lot

of things.

Did you look at the bulletin this morning?

Those matches?

I said, man, we got to put that in the bulletin.

You got these bunch of matches.

You've got it.

Don't stop and look at it now.

But they're all burnt.

And then one of the matches slips down, and so the one that burnt

couldn't start up on the next match, so the fire stopped.

You ever think of yourself as a match?

And people want to criticize and gossip and tear down somebody

and tear down this.

And can you believe that?

And all of a sudden you caught what they got.

But if you slip out, if you're not there, they have to go find somebody

else because you don't listen to that stuff.

Revival.

I'm talking about revival.

I'm talking about, are you still in revival?

Do you want to still be in revival?

Do you want more?

Do you want it to last?

How far do you want to go?

You ever get kind of tired of just the normal?

Don't you want to see in your lifetime God, do something that you

can't explain and you can't stop talking about it for the rest

of your life?

Let me ask you a few questions.

There's really not much of an outline, but I just felt like this

is what God wanted.

And I said, yes, sir, I'm just the messenger boy.

Try to stay in tune with the Lord and not depend on myself.

What I think the church needs.

Do you feel clean inside?

Don't jump up and scream and shout hallelujah, I am.

I've never been cleaner.

I'm just saying when there's a revival, you get things cleaned out

in your heart and you just feel clean.

Remember that old saying, cleanliness is next to godliness?

You say, well, yeah, it's in the Bible.

No, not really.

It's not in there in words, but it is there in the teachings,

holiness and doing right and living right and living separated

and different from the world.

And do you feel clean?

You know, some of you know what it feels like to get real dirty

and sweaty and smelly and everything else.

And, man, you get home and you get in that shower and get soaped

up and put on.

I don't even know what modern day.

I know what I use, but it's as Far as.

And my wife cooking.

And I go up to her and kiss her.

And then she says, ooh, you smell good.

I said, I know.

It's good to feel clean.

Instead of covering up the sin and the garbage and the filth.

And pretending to be a better Christian than you really are.

You don't want to tell anybody where you've been, what you've been

looking at, what you've been doing.

They don't need to know.

It's none of their business.

But a lot of revivals, it's like a sponge bath.

Anybody know what that is?

A little dab will do you.

Not just rinsed off, bathed by God from the inside out.

There's no substitute for being right and clean before God.

David said, create in me a clean heart, O God.

I don't want to live with this dirty heart.

And create within me a right spirit.

It's all in the same verse.

You get cleaned up, you'll have a better spirit.

You won't be murmuring and complaining and criticizing and passing

along the dirt.

What about pride?

All of us have heard Brother McCracken brought that out very well.

Pride.

That's our old nature.

And it's our worst enemy.

We're never more like the devil than when we're proud.

He was lifted up in pride.

And we're never more like Jesus than when we're humble, by

the way, whatever it's worth.

You can either humble yourself or you can be humbled.

If you belong to God.

If you've been bought, washed in the blood.

Whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth.

God can humble you.

He can pull the rug out from on you.

Because he loves you, because he cares.

Whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth.

But it's best for us to humble ourselves.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves.

Has your pride been deflated?

Do you still think pretty highly of yourself.

Or after that revival, you don't think quite as you wasn't quite

as great as you thought you were.

I'm just asking.

Do you still have a superior attitude?

We have some around here that walk around.

The way they walk sometimes is like they're a little bit above everybody

else.

Say, you shouldn't have said that, preacher.

Okay, I take it back.

And I'm not just saying they.

We have a problem with pride.

We, Charles Weatherby.

Are you waiting for other people to get right, or did you get

right?

Are you waiting for somebody in the church to come and apologize

to you.

Because they owe you an apology?

Why do you feel that way because you don't deserve that way

they treated you?

You're a good person.

You're a good Christian, and you're proud of it.

You're still carrying a grudge.

It's staggering to me how some people can carry a grudge for years,

and every time they see a certain person, they try to find

another hallway.

We got a lot of hallways around here to avoid holding a grudge.

A grudge?

I didn't say a garage.

I said a grudge.

Did you have revival?

You got victory now over that?

Is that not a grudge anymore?

How are things at home?

I personally believe if revival doesn't change the home,

it wasn't really a revival.

We can fake it here, but you cannot fake it at home.

Nobody knows you better than your wife and your husband and your

children and your parents, except God.

How are things at home?

Did it get better?

Is it still better?

Was everybody nice to each other last week?

And then Thursday morning, boom, revival is over.

Are the kids impressed?

Do we talk different since last week?

All right.

Shall I listen to a good.

We had a good devotion this morning.

We were listening to a little bit of a preacher on television,

and he happened to be speaking on this thing of being thankful.

And you know, that's more than just Thanksgiving.

Amen.

The closer you are to God, the more thankful you are.

You don't complain as much.

You thank God for what you have instead of crying about what

you don't have.

Something wonderful about being content and thankful.

The book of Romans, Chapter one talks about how we got in this

mess that we're in.

Read it again.

I'll read it pretty regular.

Romans, Chapter one.

How did the world get in the mess they're in?

And it lists a long list.

It even lists homosexuality and women burning in lust toward

other women and men with men.

It's all there.

That's 2,000 years ago.

Be surprised what you find in the Bible if we read it.

But he said in that list, you can go back and read it.

Neither were they thankful.

Say, well, I don't have a problem with that.

Check that one off.

I'm okay there.

Well, I hope so.

Maybe you are.

The complaining is gone.

You're counting your blessings instead of your burdens.

Sense revival.

Do you have more peace?

You're not worrying now?

Or are you still worrying?

Are you still afraid?

You know, it's interesting.

Sometimes during a revival, I love this.

Sometimes during revival, it's like God leans over and says, everything's

going to be all right.

Did you hear that last week, did God kind of squeeze you and say,

it's going to be all right?

This too shall pass.

The storm is almost over.

Are you smiling more now, or are you going to keep smiling?

Or is the smiling revival smiling over?

Let me go ahead and touch the nerve.

Touch the nerve you already have.

When you have revival, you say, I want to give more.

I'm not rich in this world's goods.

I'm not wealthy.

But I want to give more.

Our church needs it right now.

Some families left and took their money with them.

And that's not a shock, That when you have revival, it affects

your giving.

Maybe not how much you give, but why you give and how you give.

You get excited about it.

When's the last time you not only opened your Bible, but you opened

your checkbook and got a little excited about writing your

tithe and offering check?

Don't raise your hand.

Now that is revival.

When somebody goes, wow, God's blessed me so much, I'm glad I can

give because God's given to me.

Everything you have is his.

Anyway.

All you're doing is recycling.

Amen.

We really, in a sense, everything we've got belongs to God.

So why do we keep acting like it's ours?

Yeah, we should pay our bills.

Yes.

We should buy our wife a taco when she wants it.

I said that for my wife.

She'd eat them every day if I'd let her.

That's all she thinks about.

Mexican food, Mexican food, Mexican food.

Praise the Lord.

I never had it until I married her.

That's the honest truth.

I never had Mexican food until I married my wife.

I was raised in Florida.

We had grits.

But there's nothing wrong with wanting to spend money and have things.

But you know, when a real revival takes place, you know, you

just go, wow.

I want to give.

I want to help my church.

I want to be at more services.

Church is higher on my priority.

I do most everything else I want to do.

People do what they want to do.

They go where they want to go.

They buy what they want to buy.

Tell me I'm wrong, because I'm not.

They find a way.

I want to go to church more.

I don't want to miss anything.

Not because I should.

It's scary sometimes.

I don't mean people go to church because they should rather

than because they want to.

Eats their insides out when they miss a sermon.

What did I miss?

What did I miss?

I understand, you know, that I'm not nuts.

I understand people have limitations, physically and all that.

And not everybody can come three times a week.

But if you can thank God for it, say, well, I don't want to be

a nut.

Well, we need more nuts in the church, if that's what it is.

If somebody just wants to go to church all the time, pass the

nuts.

Amen.

I want to worship.

I want to sing.

I want to love God.

I want to see this church go forward.

The future looks bright.

I'm going to.

Here's something for you.

Somebody has revival, they start thinking, maybe you wouldn't

say this out loud, but you might be thinking, you know, I'm

going to be the best member of this church's God.

That's not pride.

That's revival.

If every church member were just like me, what kind of church

would this church be?

Revival.

You look at your Bible different.

It's not boring.

When I read the Bible, God's reading my mind.

Before revival, it was on my checklist.

I just knew I was supposed to read the Bible.

Every day I read it, I did it.

I'm a good Christian.

Don't you want to get past that?

Reading the Bible because you should, and say, I want to see what's

on God's mind today?

Because, you know, you write close to God and have revival, it's

like God's reading your mind.

He's reading your mail.

He knows exactly what's going on in your life.

Do you have that kind of relationship with God?

When you read the Bible, does it read you well?

I'm running out of time.

Revival makes witnessing natural.

I've never met too many Christians that witness too much.

But I think God wanted it to be just kind of natural to want to

share the gospel and tell people about Christ.

Don't you?

I do.

But it feels.

Sometimes we don't do it very much.

It feels strange and unnatural to ask somebody if they've ever been

saved or if they're going to die.

Would they wake up in hell or heaven?

Do you want to witness more?

When you have real Bible revival, you say, oh, I hate sin

more now than I ever have.

You hate sin?

Does that make you mad?

Does it make you sick?

Or are you getting used to it?

I hate sin.

I want to run from temptation instead of running to it.

The world is the world losing its charm.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus.

Look full in his wonderful face and the things of earth will

go strangely dim in the light of his glory and grace.

Yeah, revival gossip makes you sick.

I want no part of it.

I don't want to give Anybody the benefit of the dirt.

I want to build people up, not tear them down.

I want to make them feel better, not worse.

I don't want to quit.

Some people have already done that.

And if you're not careful, it'll start weighing on you.

What's the use?

Don't let God just quit.

But if you have revival, real revival, and it lasts, say, I'm not

quitting.

God never quit on me.

Amen.

I told my wife one time, I'm quitting.

She goes, well, when did you start?

Just kidding.

I'm quoting that from J. Frank Norris.

He told his wife he was quitting.

She goes, I didn't know you started.

Not anymore.

I can, I won't.

By the grace of God and the Holy Spirit.

I don't want to be self centered, self righteous, self serving.

Less of me, more of him, more of Christ.

I want to forgive and forget.

We have people that say, alright, I'll forgive him, but I'll

never forget what he said.

I'll never forget what she did.

Yeah, I'll forgive him.

I'll never forget it.

That sounds like real revival, doesn't it?

Reach out and restore like Christ does to you.

Treat others the way God treats you.

Let go of the past.

Revival.

Not just praying about me.

It's all about me.

Not just praying for people.

But we are to cover up other people's faults and failures.

Well, what I'm saying is revival doesn't have to stop.

In fact, it could get better than the messages of Brother McCracken.

And I don't know how, but they could.

They really could.

Wilt thou not revive us again and again and again?

Whosoever will, may come.

Did you know that the word come is found over 600 times in your

Bible?

If you got the right kind of Bible.

600 times.

Come unto me, all ye that are tired and heavy.

Laden and I'll give you rest.

I understand.

Come, let's talk about it.

God is no respecter of persons.

He doesn't play favorites in a church.

It says, whosoever will.

Whosoever will.

Whosoever will.

Draw not of God, and he'll draw not of you.

Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

It's not too late for you to have revival.

And it's not too late for you to have more revival.

Would you stand with your heads bowed and eyes closed for just

a moment?

It's six minutes after 12, so you don't have to turn around.

Let's take a few more moments.

I don't know if God spoke to you or not.

I think God's always speaking.

We're just not listening.

I think if you listen and want to hear from God, the worst preacher

in Texas can preach.

And God still speak to you.

I really do.

I believe that we're going to sing a verse of Invitation.

Search Me, O God, you say.

Well, we sang that last weekend, and I've been praying.

Well, ask him to keep searching and know my heart.

Because sometimes I'm fooled by my own heart.

The heart is deceitful.

I'm going to pray, and then we'll sing.

And if no one comes, we'll be going home in a few minutes.

But maybe you'd like to just come and pray a simple prayer.

Lord, don't let revival stop.

I've had revival and I don't want to stop.

Maybe some of you would like to slip up to the altar and say,

lord, it was a great time and a great meeting.

And I love Brother McCracken.

He was great.

But I don't know.

I don't know.

This didn't happen like I thought it would.

I don't have revival.

Well, come talk to God about that.

He's not going to send you back empty.

If you're here today and you're not sure you're saved, oh,

why don't you settle that today?

How long are you going to go hoping you're saved?

Why don't you just get it settled and say, there's a lot I

don't know.

But I do know I'm saved.

The Bible says you can know that.

You want to join the church.

Come.

You want to pray for something that had nothing to do with the message.

Come.

You got a burden.

You got a problem.

You're facing something on the job.

Your marriage is getting pretty wobbly, maybe on the rocks.

You're still together, but you're not together.

Young people.

You're dealing with some things you haven't told anybody.

Mom and dad don't know.

Nobody knows.

But God knows.

Why won't you come?

You don't have to be 18 or 21 to go to the altar.

You say, well, I don't know what to say.

God knows your heart.

Just say, lord, I don't know what to say.

And then go back to your seat.

God loves you.

He loves teenagers.

He loves children.

He loves mom and dad.

He loves Grandma and Grandpa.

I'll pray you come.

Heavenly Father, we need thee every hour.

Help us.
