  6. with your friends. [music] Now, let's

  7. join Pastor Charlie Branch with a word

  8. from God.

  9. All right. Amen. If you have a Bible,

  10. take with take it and turn with me the

  11. book of Romans. Romans, chapter number

  12. five. If you would please, when you find

  13. your place, if you would stand on a

  14. reference to the reading of God's word.

  15. Romans chapter number five.

  16. know everything's been geared a whole

  17. lot towards Christmas this morning, but

  18. I'll be real honest with you what I'm

  19. going to share with you this morning. I

  20. don't uh I think personally it's um goes

  21. right along with that. You going to have

  22. to just uh look for it if you want to

  23. find it. Amen. But I just uh just felt

  24. like Lord would have us to be here in

  25. this text today. And uh I'm not a

  26. hallmark preacher. Amen. I've made no

  27. bones about that since I came. Amen. And

  28. uh I may I may preach pre preach

  29. Christmas. Amen. Up until Christmas. I

  30. may preach hell on Christmas week. So

  31. just you know just just telling you I'm

  32. going to do what the Lord tells me to.

  33. Okay. And uh that's supposed to be

  34. funny, but y'all too tight this morning.

  35. And y'all going to have to loosen up a

  36. little bit. Okay. Romans chapter number

  37. five. And uh I want to preach a thought

  38. here out of this text. And I don't claim

  39. any originality to this thought. And I

  40. just want to be obedient to the Lord.

  41. This is what I woke up with on my heart

  42. this morning. And I just want to be

  43. obedient to the Lord. Romans chapter 5,

    Romans 5 chapter mention

  44. I want to begin reading verse number 12.

  45. Romans chapter 5, verse number 12.

    Romans 5 chapter mention

  46. The Bible says, "Wherefore, as by one

  47. man sin entered into the world, and

  48. death by sin, and so death passed upon

  49. all men, for that all have sinned. For

  50. until the law, sin was in the world. But

  51. sin is not imputed when there is no law.

  52. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to

  53. Moses, even over them that had not

  54. sinned after the simitude of Adam's

  55. transgression. Who is the figure of him

  56. that was to come. But not as the

  57. offense, so also is the free gift. For

  58. if through the offense of one many be

  59. dead, much more the grace of God, and

  60. the gift by grace, which is by one man,

  61. Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many,

  62. not as it was by one that sin, so is the

  63. gift. For the judgment was by one to

  64. condemnation, but the free gift is of

  65. many offenses unto justification. For if

  66. by one man's offense death reign by one,

  67. much more they which receive abundance

  68. of grace, and of the gift of

  69. righteousness shall reign in life by

  70. one, Jesus Christ. Therefore, as by the

  71. offense of one, judgment came upon all

  72. men to condemnation, even so by the

  73. righteousness of one, the free gift came

  74. upon all men under justification of

  75. life. For as by one's man one man's

  76. disobedience many were made sinners, so

  77. by the obedience of one shall many be

  78. made righteous. In verse number 20, the

  79. Bible says, "Moreover, the law entered

  80. that the offense might abound. But where

  81. sin abounded, grace did much more

  82. abound. That as sin hath reigned unto

  83. death, even so my grace reigned through

  84. righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus

  85. Christ our Lord. Let's pray together

  86. this morning. Our Father, thank you so

  87. much for the privilege, Lord, to stand

  88. and preach this morning. And God, I

  89. realize, Lord, where I stand today,

  90. Father, I have no ability in my flesh.

  91. God, as the apostle said, I know that

  92. dwelleth in me, that's in my flesh, no

  93. good thing. And so, Lord, I pray that

  94. you would remove the flesh from us,

  95. clothe us in our calling this morning,

  96. hide us behind the cross, and get glory

  97. to yourself. I pray, God, that you would

  98. enable us to preach, give us liberty and

  99. vocabulary this morning. Help us to

  100. recall to remembrance the things that

  101. we've studied concerning this text. And

  102. Lord, I pray, Father, you'd speak to us

  103. and through us this morning from your

  104. word. God, I ask you, Lord, that you

  105. would work in every heart this morning.

  106. Save that one that's nearest to hell.

  107. Reclaim the backsliden. And God, help us

  108. all to be closer to you as a result of

  109. this service and this sermon this

  110. morning. God, I pray, Lord, that through

  111. this season of the year, God, that we

  112. would not become dry or drab, but Lord,

  113. that we would become more fervent, Lord,

  114. more faithful. And God, I pray we would

  115. be more bold in our witness for thee,

  116. God, as we exit these doors today. Help

  117. us, God, to find somebody to hand a

  118. track to and to be obedient, Lord, to

  119. the command you've given to us. Lord, I

  120. pray, Father, that you get all glory

  121. this morning. Help us to receive with

  122. meekness the engrafted word. And for

  123. what you do, we'll be sure to give you

  124. the thanks because we ask it in Jesus'

  125. name. And all God's people said, "Amen."

  126. Thank you for standing. You can be

  127. seated. This morning I'm preaching on

  128. the thought out of this text Romans

  129. chapter number five. Abundant grace for

  130. a hurting world. Abundant grace

  131. >> for a hurting world. Now I'll be honest

  132. with you this morning when I come to

  133. this text. There's a lot of things that

  134. come to my mind. I want to share a few

  135. of those by way of introduction this

  136. morning. Some things that I believe is

  137. important when we consider this chapter.

  138. When you look at a chapter in the word

  139. of God, it's easy. many times to

  140. cherrypick truth and you can take a

  141. verse and claim that verse and sometimes

  142. that's good but many times you miss the

  143. point that the writer is trying to make

  144. when you refuse to consider the entire

  145. context and so chapter five when you

  146. consider the book of Romans is

  147. expressing the works of God and it

  148. begins here in chapter number five with

  149. the fact that God is lifting us and you

  150. say what do you mean by that well notice

  151. the first verse of Roman Romans 5, the

  152. Bible says, "Therefore, being justified

  153. by faith, we have peace with God through

  154. our Lord Jesus Christ." And there is

  155. that great doctrine of justification

  156. where Paul spoke in Romans 4 about

  157. Abraham that when the Bible says he

  158. believed God in Genesis chapter 15 and

    Genesis 15 chapter mention

  159. verse number six and the Bible says that

  160. God counted it unto him for

  161. righteousness and God justified him by

  162. his faith. And I'll say it this way. I

  163. like the way Dr. Wearsby said. He said,

  164. "Faith is not believing in spite of

  165. evidence." He said, "But it is obeying

  166. in spite of consequence." You want to

  167. express your faith this morning. Don't

  168. tell me what you believe, but show me

  169. how you behave this morning. And I

  170. consider this text. I think about the

  171. fact that God lifts us. I'll say he

  172. lifts us through Jesus. Notice it in

  173. verse number one. The Bible says,

  174. "Therefore, being justified by faith, we

  175. have peace with God through our Lord

  176. Jesus Christ." And so, our standing

  177. before God is because Jesus Christ has

  178. exalted us. He has justified us. You've

  179. heard it said, "Justification just as if

  180. I had never sinned. I've been made like

  181. the Son of God." Amen. This morning, I

  182. don't know about you, but it's starting

  183. to feel pretty good up here. Amen. I've

  184. been justified through Jesus. Amen. And

  185. because of that we have joy. Notice what

  186. he says in verse number two. By whom

  187. also we have access by faith into this

  188. grace wherein we stand. Notice it now.

  189. And rejoice in hope of the glory of God

  190. because I've been justified through

  191. Jesus this morning. My heart is full of

  192. joy. Amen. Knowing that my life has been

  193. changed. My eternity has been made

  194. different because I have been exalted.

  195. He has brought me up. He picked me up

  196. out of the muck and mire of sin in this

  197. world and brought me to his level right

  198. by his side. Hallelujah. To fellowship

  199. with him. And so I would say God lifts

  200. us this morning. And I don't know about

  201. you, but I'm thankful for the day love

  202. lifted me. Amen. Out of the depths and

  203. pits of sin. Amen. You say, "Preacher,

  204. you was just seven years old." Oh,

  205. friend, I still lost as a BALL AND TALL

  206. WINGS. THANK GOD HE LIFTED ME OUT. AMEN.

  207. And saved my never dying soul. AND SO

  208. I'D SAY GOD LIFTS us this morning, but I

  209. like this this morning. You consider

  210. this chapter. And I've not got time to

  211. preach it all, but I'm going to hit the

  212. highlights. Amen. AND SO GOD LIFTS US.

  213. BUT I'LL say this in this chapter of

  214. verse, we all know God. He shows us that

  215. he loves us. In verses number 1 through

  216. 5, he lifts us. But in verses 6 through

  217. 11, the Bible says that he loves us.

  218. Notice what the Bible says. For when we

  219. were yet without strength, in due time

  220. Christ died for the ungodly. I'm saying

  221. to you this morning that God loved you

  222. when you were without ability to save

  223. yourself. You had no ability, you had no

  224. strength to bring deliverance in your

  225. life. But God in his love, God in his

  226. mercy, SHOWING YOU HIS GRACE, HE CHOSE

  227. TO LOVE YOU IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT

  228. YOU had nothing to offer him this

  229. morning. And that's the truth this

  230. morning. For those of us that are saved,

  231. as well as those of us that are lost

  232. this morning, it does not matter. You

  233. say, "Preacher, well, I'm saved now. I

  234. can give in my life, but you understand

  235. the best that we have is worthless in

  236. the sight of God." Oh, BUT IF WE'LL JUST

  237. TURN IT OVER TO HIM AND LET HIM WORK

  238. THROUGH US. I'M SAYING HIS LOVE CAN

  239. SHINE IN OUR LIFE. AMEN. And we can show

  240. the love of God to those that are around

  241. us. He loved us in spite of the fact

  242. that we had no ability. He loved us in

  243. spite of the fact that we had no

  244. advantage. Notice verse seven. For

  245. scarcely for a righteous man will one

  246. die. Yet per ad venture for a good man

  247. some would even dare to die. But in

  248. verse number eight he says but God

  249. commendeth his love toward us in that

  250. while we were yet sinners Christ died

  251. for us. I'm saying friend he had no

  252. REASON TO LOVE US. THERE WAS NOTHING

  253. GOOD IN ME. THERE'S NOTHING GOOD IN YOU

  254. THIS MORNING. THERE'S NOTHING WORTH

  255. LOVING IN ANY OF US HERE TODAY. BUT

  256. AREN'T YOU THANKFUL THAT A THRICE HOLY

  257. GOD TOOK TIME OUT TO CONSIDER YOU AND I

  258. THAT HE WOULD LOVE US SO MUCH TO SEND

  259. HIS DARLING SON TO SAVE US. AMEN. And

  260. seal us. I'm saying he loved us EVEN IN

  261. SPITE OF THE FACT THAT WE HAD NO ABILITY

  262. AND IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT WE HAD NO

  263. ADVANTAGE. BUT I'LL SAY this this

  264. morning. The Bible says here, his

  265. affection is shown to us. Verse number

  266. nine, look what he says. much more than

  267. being now justified by his blood, we

  268. shall be saved.

  269. >> Amen. If y'all not going to help me this

  270. morning, me and the Lord just going to

  271. have us a time. AMEN. MUCH MORE than

  272. hey, being justified. There's that word

  273. again.

  274. >> I've been made righteous, declared right

  275. >> before God. You say, "Preacher, well, I

  276. know what you are." I I got one better

  277. on you. I know what I am.

  278. >> Amen. But I got one even better than

  279. that. He knows what I am. And you know

  280. what? He justified me anyway.

  281. >> Hallelujah. Amen. Praise God. I'm saying

  282. he loves us this morning. I consider the

  283. fact that God lifts us in verses 1-5. I

  284. consider the fact that God loves us in

  285. verses 6 through 11. And he notice,

  286. notice that in verse 11, there's that

  287. joy that's brought up again. Not only

  288. so, but we also joy in God.

  289. >> Amen.

  290. >> Through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom

  291. we have now received the atonement.

  292. There is forgiveness. There is

  293. remission. Amen. There is fellowship in

  294. the presence of the father because of

  295. Jesus Christ. And I want to consider

  296. this this morning. This is the message

  297. today. We consider that he he lifts us.

  298. We consider that he loves us. We

  299. consider thirdly this morning the

  300. remainder of the chapter verses 12- 21.

  301. We consider that God looses us.

  302. >> God looses us. Now, Brother Andrew read

  303. that text this morning and I thought he

  304. was going to talk about that colt over

  305. there and I was about to start jumping

  306. up and down. Amen. Thinking about this

  307. message. Amen. God just put it all

  308. together. That's all right. She wasn't

  309. off. All right. It was good. Amen.

  310. Wasn't that good this morning?

  311. >> But I was thinking about this text and

  312. the fact that God looses us. And when I

  313. consider this, Paul paints a picture

  314. here in this text. And y'all pray for

  315. me. I'm about stopped up this morning.

  316. Pray God will help me. Verse number 12,

  317. he says, "Wherefore, as by one man sin

  318. entered into the world, and death by

  319. sin, and so death passed upon all men,

  320. for that all have sinned." And Paul here

  321. begins to point out the problem of sin.

  322. And he points out first of all about

  323. this problem of sin. He he states the

  324. problem first of all. Notice that.

  325. Wherefore, as by one man, what entered

  326. into the world? Sin. By one man, who's

  327. that one man? That's Adam, ain't it?

  328. Adam's the one that brought sin into

  329. this world. his disobedience to the

  330. command of God. He plunged the human

  331. race into iniquity. And so there is the

  332. presence of sin because of Adam. In

  333. verse 12, there is the penalty of sin

  334. because of Adam. In verse number 12,

  335. look what he says. Sin entered into the

  336. world and death by sin. You know the

  337. reason why death has a 100% fatality

  338. rate is because all in Adam all die. The

  339. Bible says and Adam's sin brought death.

  340. And that is the penalty for the wages of

  341. sin is death. And so Adam is the one

  342. that brought the presence of sin. He

  343. brought sin into this world. But he also

  344. brought along with it the penalty. But

  345. I'll say this. He points out not only

  346. the presence and the penalty, but he

  347. points out the power of sin in verse 13

  348. and 14. Look what he says. He says, "For

  349. until the law, sin was in the world, but

  350. sin is not imputed when there is no law.

  351. Nevertheless, notice these next two

  352. words. Death reigned.

  353. >> You know what that means? Had control.

  354. >> You say, "Preacher, well, they lived

  355. long lives." But you know what? Even

  356. though they lived almost a thousand

  357. years, you know what still happened to

  358. him? They all died,

  359. >> right?

  360. >> They all passed away and death reigned.

  361. Death was sovereign. Let me just say

  362. this to you this morning. Put in a

  363. little parenthetical statement here this

  364. morning. If you're lost, death's

  365. reigning in your life. You're

  366. >> right.

  367. >> Amen. You are controlled. The sovereign

  368. control in your life is death. And

  369. what's going to happen to you if you do

  370. not if you do not choose to trust

  371. Christ, you will live out your life

  372. under the reign of death. And death will

  373. ultimately take you away

  374. >> where you will forever be in the grips

  375. and its clutches in hell. And I notice

  376. this. He points out the problem of sin.

  377. He states that problem verses 12 and 14.

  378. But he begins to study this problem in

  379. verses 15- 21. And I want to give you

  380. three points this morning. And like I

  381. said, all right, I claim no originality

  382. to any of this. This is just what God

  383. put on my heart for this tech, this this

  384. service today. I want you to know, first

  385. of all, in this text, number one, I'm

  386. talking about abundant grace for a

  387. hurting world. Number one, I see there's

  388. a problem that is universal,

  389. >> right?

  390. >> There's a problem that is universal. And

  391. you say, preacher, what do you mean?

  392. Well, notice it again in verse number

  393. 12. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered

  394. into the world, and death by sin, notice

  395. this, and so death passed upon what?

  396. >> All men.

  397. >> What's the rest of the verse say,

  398. church? For that all have sinned. I'm

  399. talking about a universal problem this

  400. morning. You realize from the oldest to

  401. the youngest, from the strongest to the

  402. weakest, from the richest to the

  403. poorest, wherever you are this morning

  404. and WHEREVER YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF

  405. TOMORROW, SIN IS THE problem that

  406. plagues this human race.

  407. >> Adrien Rogers said this. He said, "The

  408. heart of the human problem is the

  409. problem of the human heart." And you

  410. know what it is? It's sin.

  411. >> Amen. The heart OF THE HUMAN PROBLEM IS

  412. OUR HEART. AND THAT IS DECEITFUL AND

  413. DESPERATELY WICKED ABOVE ALL THINGS. WHO

  414. CAN KNOW IT? IT'S SINFUL. IT'S

  415. DECEITFUL. AND EVERY PERSON IN HERE,

  416. THOSE PRECIOUS LITTLE BABIES. AMEN. I

  417. GOT a pretty little girl sitting right

  418. there.

  419. >> Prettiest thing I've ever seen in my

  420. life besides my wife,

  421. >> looks just like her.

  422. >> She's going to go to sleep.

  423. >> You know what? She's a sinner.

  424. >> Right. You say, "Preacher, how could you

  425. say that about that little child?"

  426. >> You've heard me say it here time and

  427. time again. David said this. He said,

  428. "Behold, I was shapen in iniquity."

  429. That's

  430. >> right.

  431. >> He said, "My mother's womb, I was shapen

  432. in sin." He said, "And in sin did my

  433. mother conceive me." He said, "I was

  434. born in this world of sin."

  435. >> You understand this morning, you're a

  436. sinner by birth this morning because of

  437. Adam's sin in the garden. You're a

  438. sinner by nature because the nature of

  439. Adam is within you. The reason why

  440. children are bit to sin, the reason why

  441. you never have to teach a child to cuss

  442. and you never HAVE TO TEACH A CHILD TO

  443. LIE AND you never HAVE TO TEACH A CHILD

  444. TO GET MAD AT THEIR PARENTS IS BECAUSE

  445. WE ARE BIT TO SIN.

  446. >> And you are as well. You say, "Preacher,

  447. but I'm more dignified than that." Oh,

  448. no, friend. You see, it is your d it is

  449. your dignification. Amen. That points

  450. out your sin.

  451. >> Amen. The truth is this morning, those

  452. of us that's been saved, they know that

  453. we know that there ain't an ounce of us

  454. that's any good at all.

  455. >> Amen. And when I consider this text, I

  456. think about the fact that the problem of

  457. sin is universal. I know first of all

  458. the totality of this problem. Notice the

  459. Bible there, verse 12. And so death

  460. passed upon all men. So the problem, the

  461. presence of sin is universal. The

  462. penalty of sin is universal. Death

  463. passed upon all men. And I want you to

  464. think about this. All right? The power

  465. of sin is universal.

  466. >> The same temptation that I struggle with

  467. is going to be the same temptation that

  468. you struggle with.

  469. >> The Bible says there's nothing new under

  470. the sun. And let me say this to you this

  471. morning. Wherever you stand, do not feel

  472. alone. Let me say this to you, child of

  473. God. Take time out here just for a

  474. minute. You do not do not feel alone,

  475. child of God. If there's a temptation of

  476. sin that you struggle with in your life,

  477. do not let the devil single you out and

  478. tell you that you're the only one that

  479. you're the scum OF THE EARTH. HEY, YOU

  480. JUST let him know that where he's going

  481. one OF THESE DAYS. AMEN. YOU TELL HIM,

  482. "I'LL NEVER go there cuz I've been saved

  483. and God's going to help me defeat the

  484. THING THAT'S GOING TO TAKE YOU UNDER."

  485. AMEN. WHAT I'M SAYING THIS MORNING IS

  486. THIS. THE POWER OF SIN is universal. IT

  487. IS A TOTAL PROBLEM THIS MORNING across

  488. the board. YOUNG AND OLD, RICH AND POOR.

  489. EVERY GENERATION OF EVERY PERSON THAT'S

  490. EVER BEEN BORN ON GOD'S EARTH HAS A

  491. PROBLEM with sin. Amen.

  492. >> Yeah.

  493. >> It's a universal. It's a total problem.

  494. I'm moving. Notice not only this problem

  495. in universal, the totality, notice the

  496. time. You say, "Preacher, if this is a

  497. universal problem, where'd it begin?"

  498. Well, notice the text. Look what your

  499. Bible says in verse number 14.

  500. Nevertheless, death reigned. What's the

  501. next two words from Adam? You know what

  502. happened when Adam decided to step out?

  503. There's a principle here that I'm not

  504. going to actually I'm going to go over

  505. this because I just feel impressed to.

  506. Look what the Bible says here in verse

  507. 14. Nevertheless, death reigned from

  508. Adam to Moses, even over them that had

  509. not sinned after the simitude of Adam's

  510. transgression. And you say, "Preacher,

  511. what was Adam's transgression?" It was

  512. willful disobedience,

  513. >> right?

  514. >> Willful disobedience. You say, "What do

  515. you mean?" When Eve took of that fruit

  516. in the garden, the Bible says that the

  517. the serpent begiled Eve, she was fooled

  518. by what he said. His deceit, his

  519. trickery caught her eye, grabbed her

  520. heart. So, she was deceived. But you

  521. know what the Bible says? Adam was not

  522. deceived. Right?

  523. >> Eve was tempted and deceived. Adam was

  524. tempted and not deceived.

  525. >> Right?

  526. >> And you know what he did? He chose to

  527. disobey.

  528. >> And so Adam's transgression, look what

  529. he says there in the text. The Bible

  530. says, even over them that had not

  531. sinned, after the similitude of Adam's

  532. transgression, he said, "Not everybody

  533. that followed after him committed this

  534. same willful disobedience." But you know

  535. what? Because they were all conceived

  536. from the womb of Eve. And

  537. >> they had Adam's seed in them.

  538. >> Right.

  539. >> Every soul.

  540. >> Yeah.

  541. >> If you could live your entire life and

  542. never willfully sin. That's something I

  543. need to teach here at the church in the

  544. future. There's a difference between

  545. willful disobedience as a sin of

  546. presumptuous sin. As David talks about,

  547. there is willful disobedience and then

  548. there is disobedience out of ignorance.

  549. >> Right?

  550. >> There's a difference. Amen. There's a

  551. big difference. What I'm saying this

  552. morning is this. Regardless whether or

  553. not if it were possible that you could

  554. live your whole life and never even sin,

  555. you know what? You would still be

  556. condemned.

  557. >> Right?

  558. >> Say, "Preacher, how is that? How is

  559. that?" Because you was born in sin.

  560. >> Amen.

  561. >> Amen. And so we consider here the

  562. totality of this problem, the time of

  563. this problem from Adam. But what's the

  564. truth? Let me give you this. The truth

  565. of this problem, what's what's the truth

  566. about this problem? Now, the Bible

  567. points out a few things here in verses

  568. 15, 16, and 17. I would say first of

  569. all, in verse 15, you're going to find

  570. out that we are corrupted. You say,

  571. "What do you mean, preacher?" Well,

  572. notice verse 15. But not as the offense,

  573. so also as the free gift. For if through

  574. the offense of one, notice this, many be

  575. dead. Adam's wrongdoing caused an entire

  576. human race to be corrupted. You know the

  577. reason why this body has to die because

  578. it's corrupted. The Bible teaches us in

  579. 1 Corinthians 15 when the rapture takes

  580. place, what does the Bible say? For this

  581. corruptible must put on incorruption. We

  582. have been corrupted by the offense of

  583. Adam. You are a sinner this morning

  584. because of somebody else's wrongdoing.

  585. You say, "Preacher, well that's not

  586. fair." Well, there's never been a one

  587. other than Jesus that lived a sinless

  588. life.

  589. >> Amen. And so that tells me that if you'd

  590. been in Adam's place, you've done the

  591. same thing.

  592. >> That's right.

  593. >> Amen. That's exactly right. Say,

  594. "Preacher, I don't believe that." You

  595. don't have to. I'm right. Amen.

  596. >> Amen.

  597. >> And so we are corrupted. HOW DO WE KNOW

  598. THAT? Many be dead. When he says many be

  599. dead, he's not just talking about a

  600. majority. You're

  601. >> right.

  602. >> That word many there really means all.

  603. >> You're right.

  604. >> Amen. Many be dead. We are corrupted.

  605. Death has went in. You say, "Preacher,

  606. what's an illustration of that?" When

  607. you think about about meat, you take

  608. some meat. What happens to that thing

  609. after you you you take a deer and you

  610. kill that thing? You you flay that meat

  611. off of there. If you leave it laying

  612. outside,

  613. >> you know what happens? That corruption

  614. begins to show the longer it sits,

  615. doesn't it?

  616. >> You say, "Preacher, was that corruption

  617. always there?" Sure was.

  618. >> Amen. But you just got there's just a

  619. period of time you get before you get to

  620. cook it out.

  621. >> Amen. And if you leave it too long, it's

  622. going to be corrupted perpetually.

  623. >> Here's the truth about it. Your life is

  624. a space.

  625. >> You're corrupted.

  626. >> But if you live your whole life in that

  627. corrupted state, you know what you're

  628. going to do? You're going to go to hell

  629. and rot. You're

  630. >> right.

  631. >> Yeah.

  632. >> I'll be I know that's graphic, but it's

  633. the truth. You're

  634. >> right.

  635. >> Truth is, you've got a space of grace,

  636. but you are corrupted this morning.

  637. >> You are a sinner, though. For all have

  638. sinned and come short of the glory of

  639. God. There's none that doeth good.

  640. There's none that's righteous. Know not

  641. one. And so we are corrupted. Verse 15.

  642. Through the offense of one, many be

  643. dead. Notice verse 16. I'm moving. Not

  644. only are we corrupted, but we're also

  645. condemned. Look what the Bible says. And

  646. not so not as it was by one that sinned,

  647. so is the gift. For the judgment was by

  648. one, notice this, to condemnation.

  649. Because of Adam's sin, the entire human

  650. race is not only corrupted, but

  651. condemned. You're right.

  652. >> You are condemned not because of what

  653. you do.

  654. >> Listen to the preacher now. You are not

  655. condemned because of what you do. You

  656. are condemned because of who you are.

  657. >> And because of who you are, you do what

  658. you do.

  659. >> Amen. You don't Hey, listen to me now.

  660. All right. You are not a sinner because

  661. you sin.

  662. >> You are a You are You sin because you

  663. are a sinner.

  664. >> You're right.

  665. >> Amen. And so you are condemned. For the

  666. wages of sin is death.

  667. >> Amen. John chapter number three. I want

  668. to read this verse. John chapter number

  669. three. The cardinal sin of the human

  670. race is unbelief.

  671. >> Amen.

  672. >> John chapter number three. The cardinal

  673. sin. Verse 36. He that believeth on the

  674. son hath everlasting life. And he that

  675. believeth not the son shall not see

  676. life, but the wrath of God what?

  677. Abideth.

  678. It abideth on him. You are presently

  679. condemned this morning. You are

  680. corrupted, but you are presently

  681. condemned. You say, "Preacher, I'm not

  682. in hell yet." You're as good as there if

  683. you're lost.

  684. >> That means you say, "Preacher, how could

  685. you say that?" If you died right now,

  686. >> you'd be in hell.

  687. >> Amen.

  688. >> Because you're corrupted. Not only

  689. corrupted, you're condemned.

  690. >> Amen. You say, "Preacher, that's you.

  691. You said that it's just by Adam." It is.

  692. Adam's sin has corrupted you and

  693. condemned you. But remember,

  694. >> you'd have done the same thing,

  695. >> right? Amen.

  696. >> And you prove it every day of your life.

  697. You're

  698. >> right.

  699. >> Unbelief.

  700. We are corrupted. We are condemned.

  701. Notice this. Thirdly, and I'm going to

  702. move on to the next point of the

  703. message. We're not only corrupted and

  704. condemned, but we're also controlled.

  705. Notice verse 17. For if by one man's

  706. offense, notice the next two words,

  707. death reigned.

  708. You are corrupted by sin. You are

  709. condemned because of your sin. But I'll

  710. say this, you're controlled.

  711. >> Right?

  712. >> Amen. Death reigned. The reason why,

  713. listen to me now. Death is not just a

  714. happening. It's not just an event. Okay?

  715. Death is not just the physical act of

  716. this body giving up life. Death is the

  717. state of who you are before you get

  718. saved. You're

  719. >> right.

  720. >> Amen. Bible says Ephesians 2, you hath

  721. he quickened. Amen. You've been saved.

  722. You hath HE QUICKENED WHO ARE DEAD.

  723. >> RIGHT?

  724. >> You can't get saved if you're not

  725. breathing.

  726. >> Amen.

  727. >> Amen. You say, "Well, what's he talking

  728. about?" He's talking about spiritually

  729. dead. When Adam sinned in the garden and

  730. Satan deceived him, told Eve said, "You

  731. shall not surely die." Oh, but he was

  732. lying.

  733. >> You say, "Preacher, well, they didn't

  734. die immediately." He wasn't talking

  735. about physical death.

  736. >> He was talking about spiritual death.

  737. And the moment, listen to me now, the

  738. moment, the very moment that you're born

  739. into this world, you are dead

  740. >> spiritually.

  741. You say, "Preacher, what about children

  742. for the age of accountability?" God

  743. gives grace. Amen.

  744. >> There will no soul of any baby.

  745. >> You're right.

  746. >> Child before knowledge of sin ever. You

  747. hear me? They will never go to hell.

  748. >> Right.

  749. >> Calvinists buy that stuff. Okay. They

  750. believe that. They say that babies that

  751. die before the age of accountability

  752. that weren't elected to go to heaven,

  753. they die to go to hell. Could you

  754. believe that?

  755. >> God never sends anybody to hell without

  756. them choosing to go there.

  757. >> You're right.

  758. >> Amen. That's exactly right. This

  759. morning, you you notice this in this

  760. text, I'm talking about the fact that we

  761. are controlled. For if by one man's

  762. offense, death reign by one. DEATH HAS

  763. HAD CONTROL. SIN HAS HAD CONTROL. THAT'S

  764. THE REASON WHY WE'RE BENT to sin.

  765. Because death has control. But oh,

  766. remember who's got the keys.

  767. >> Amen.

  768. >> Amen. Right. In

  769. >> fact, I'm going to move. We consider the

  770. problem that's universal. You get the

  771. point this morning. Amen. We are

  772. corrupted because of our corruption. We

  773. are condemned. We are controlled

  774. >> right

  775. >> by that corruption in our life. Notice

  776. this. Second of all, and we going to get

  777. to the good part of the message. Amen.

  778. Amen. Y'all ain't no hurry, I hope.

  779. Amen. We going to preach a little while.

  780. I feel like preaching.

  781. >> The problem that's universal. Second of

  782. all, I note this. The provision that's

  783. undeniable.

  784. the provision that is undenied.

  785. You say, "Preacher, where do you find

  786. that in these verses?" Well, notice what

  787. the Bible says. Verse number 14.

  788. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to

  789. Moses, even over them that had not

  790. sinned after the simult of Adam's

  791. transgression. Notice this. Who is the

  792. figure of him that was to come? Who's he

  793. talking about? He's talking about Jesus.

  794. You say, "Preacher, how could Adam be

  795. the figure of the one that was to come?"

  796. Well, you see, Adam didn't have father

  797. or mother.

  798. >> Amen. Adam was not born to a man and a

  799. woman in this world.

  800. >> Jesus didn't have an earthly father.

  801. Galatians chapter 4 and verse number

    Galatians 4 chapter mention

  802. four, the Bible says, "But when the

  803. fullness of time was come, God sent

  804. forth his son made of a woman to redeem

  805. them which were under the law." Amen. He

  806. was delivered to this world, having not

  807. a earthly father. He had a womb. Amen.

  808. That mother that raised him on this

  809. earth. But like Adam, he was God's only

  810. begotten.

  811. >> And so the first Adam, the Bible said he

  812. brought death.

  813. >> But this last Adam,

  814. >> he's going to bring life.

  815. >> And notice what's said in this text, the

  816. provision that's undeniable. You say,

  817. "What's this provision?" Notice verse

  818. 15. There's a man in verse number 14,

  819. but there's a gift in verse 15. But not

  820. as the offense, so also is the I love

  821. this part. free gift. Amen. We all like

  822. free gifts. Amen. You ladies prove that

  823. very well last night. I ain't seen some

  824. of y'all smile like that in I don't know

  825. how long. Amen. Them free gifts. We like

  826. those kinds of things.

  827. >> Amen.

  828. >> But when I read this, you say, "What's

  829. that referring to?" Well, that is

  830. referring to the gift of Jesus Christ.

  831. >> He is the gift.

  832. Them angels told them boys that field,

  833. >> for behold, I bring you good tidings

  834. >> of great joy. What do you say? Which

  835. shall be to all [screaming]

  836. people,

  837. >> a gift for all nations, a gift FOR ALL

  838. PEOPLE FOR SALVATION TO BE OFFERED. HE

  839. IS THE GIFT. WHAT DOES HE BRING? WELL,

  840. for our corruption, he brings a promise

  841. of life. Notice verse number 15. But not

  842. as the offense, so also as the free

  843. gift. For if through the offense of one

  844. many be dead, notice this. Much more the

  845. grace of God, and the gift by grace,

  846. notice this, which is by one man, Jesus

  847. Christ.

  848. >> Amen.

  849. >> What did Jesus bring,

  850. John 10:10, the thief cometh not, but

    John 10:10

  851. for to steal, to kill, and destroy. He

  852. said, but I am come that they might have

  853. life. He gives a promise of life. What

  854. is that? You say it. No. You said,

  855. "Preacher, I don't see that in the

  856. text." Notice what he says. Much more

  857. the grace of God and the gift

  858. >> by grace. It is the life that is

  859. imparted INTO THE BELIEVER WHEN WE ARE

  860. SAVED. You understand this morning?

  861. Because of the blood of Jesus, life is

  862. on the inside of me this morning. I'm

  863. not preaching to you just because I'm in

  864. a human body swelling up my flesh and

  865. yelling, "Amen, just because I feel like

  866. it." I'm preaching TO YOU BECAUSE

  867. THERE'S LIFE ON THE INSIDE THAT SAYS,

  868. "OH, SON, TELL THE STORY. TELL THE

  869. STORY. TELL THE GOSPEL ONE MORE TIME.

  870. HE'S COME TO BRING LIFE." AND HIS GIFT

  871. to you is life. Amen.

  872. >> Amen.

  873. >> He is bringing a promise of life. He

  874. brought with him for our corruption a

  875. promise of life. You see, death is what

  876. has corrupted us. But Jesus, hallelujah,

  877. he's going to REVERSE THE CURSE. AMEN.

  878. AND DEATH IS NO LONGER GOING TO BRING

  879. DECAY IN OUR LIFE. BUT HALLELUJAH, LIFE

  880. IS GOING TO RAIN. And there's a promise

  881. to you and I that it's not just here.

  882. >> Paul said, if in this life only we have

  883. hope in Christ, we're of all men most

  884. miserable. Aren't you thankful that life

  885. is not just for here, but life really

  886. only begins when we get over there.

  887. Amen. I'm saying he has BROUGHT A

  888. PROMISE OF LIFE. AMEN.

  889. >> He has brought deliverance from our

  890. corruption. Notice second of all, not

  891. only he's brought a promise of life for

  892. our corruption, but second of all, he's

  893. brought this power of lifting for our

  894. condemnation.

  895. Oh yeah. Verse 16. And not as it was by

  896. one that sinned, so is the gift. For the

  897. judgment was by one to condemnation, but

  898. the free gift is of many offenses under

  899. justification. You say, "Preacher,

  900. what's all that mean?" Let me tell you,

  901. one sin, hear me now, one sin brought

  902. universal condemnation.

  903. >> But I'll say this, one sacrifice,

  904. >> brought universal forgiveness,

  905. >> right?

  906. >> Oh, friend, if sin was bad enough,

  907. [laughter]

  908. if sin was bad enough to condemn to to

  909. condemn an entire race of people,

  910. >> Amen. If one sin was bad enough to

  911. condemn entire race of people, how how

  912. much better you think one sacrifice

  913. >> will take care of every sin? I'm saying,

  914. oh friend, the writer said it best,

  915. where sin abounds, grace did much more

  916. abound. I'm saying where THERE WAS

  917. CONDEMNATION, WE'VE BEEN LIFTED OUT

  918. [screaming] NO LONGER UNDER THE

  919. CONDEMNATION OF SIN ANYMORE. NO LONGER

  920. TO SUFFER, NO LONGER TO FEAR JUDGMENT.

  921. I'M SAYING THE CURSE HAS BEEN LIFTED.

  922. AMEN. AMEN.

  923. >> NO MORE CONDEMNATION. HALLELUJAH.

  924. There's therefore now no condemnation TO

  925. THEM WHICH ARE IN CHRIST JESUS. NOBODY

  926. CAN LAY A CHARGE TO GOD'S ELECT, GOD'S

  927. PEOPLE. NOBODY CAN MARK THE CHILDREN OF

  928. GOD BECAUSE THE CONDEMNATION HAS been

  929. lifted. Amen.

  930. >> I'm saying, friend, that that

  931. condemnation has been LIFTED OFF US BY

  932. THE POWER OF GOD.

  933. >> This free gift takes care of all the

  934. offenses.

  935. >> Right? Notice that verse 16, but the

  936. free gift is of many offenses under

  937. justification. He's saying every sin. Oh

  938. man, I love this.

  939. >> Go ahead.

  940. >> Every sin, he said, this gift is good

  941. enough to justify every sinner.

  942. >> You're right.

  943. >> That's right.

  944. >> What John say? He is the propitiation

  945. for our sins, but not for ours only.

  946. >> Right.

  947. >> But also,

  948. >> for the sins of the whole world.

  949. >> You're right.

  950. >> You can be justified this morning.

  951. There's the promise of life for our

  952. corruption. There's the power of lifting

  953. for our condemnation. But I'll say this,

  954. and I like this one best. We have

  955. deliverance. We have a departure. We are

  956. able to be away from the condemnation.

  957. When Jesus judges this world on that

  958. great white throne, you know what? I'm

  959. going to be behind him.

  960. >> Amen.

  961. >> That's right.

  962. >> I won't have to flee away.

  963. >> I won't be afraid, but I'll be safe,

  964. protected in my master's arms.

  965. I consider not only the promise of life

  966. for our corruption, the prayer of li the

  967. power of lifting for our condemnation,

  968. but I consider this. Thirdly, I consider

  969. the perpetual liberty to override our

  970. past control.

  971. >> Notice verse 17. For by one man's

  972. offense, death reigned by one. There's

  973. that control.

  974. Much more they which receive abundance

  975. of grace and of the gift of

  976. righteousness, oh I love this, shall

  977. reign.

  978. Now get this now. The first part of the

  979. verse said death reigned.

  980. The second part of the verse says you

  981. reign. That's

  982. >> right.

  983. >> Notice it again. He said which much more

  984. they which receive abundance of grace

  985. and of the gift of righteousness shall

  986. reign where? In life? by one Jesus

  987. Christ. You say, "Preacher, does that

  988. mean I'm gonna be a king?" Well, here's

  989. the thing about it.

  990. It ain't got nothing to do with an

  991. earthly throne. That's

  992. >> right.

  993. >> Amen. Ain't that good, brother Matt?

  994. >> What are we? We're joint hes.

  995. >> Amen.

  996. >> My brother's the king.

  997. >> Amen. We are joint hes with Jesus Christ

  998. equal.

  999. All his rights are our rights.

1000. >> I'm saying death reigned. We were

1001. controlled by sin, by Satan, AND MYSELF.

1002. BUT OH, THANK GOD. WHEN LIFE TOOK OVER,

1003. NO LONGER DID DEATH REIGN. BUT THANK

1004. GOD, WE ARE NOW DOMINANT IN THE PERSON

1005. OF JESUS CHRIST. THE REASON WHY I CAN

1006. STAND UP HERE AND PREACH TO YOU AND

  1007. REJOICE KNOWING THAT THERE'S A

1008. DIFFERENCE IN MY LIFE IS BECAUSE DEATH

1009. IS NOT REIGNING OVER ME ANYMORE.

1010. >> DEATH IS NOT REIGNING OVER ME. HEY

1011. FRIEND, I AM DOMINATING DEATH. YOU SAY,

1012. "PREACHER, how can YOU SAY THAT?" WELL,

1013. notice verse number two of chapter 6.

1014. Look what he says. God forbid. How shall

1015. we that are dead to sin live any longer

  1016. therein?

1017. >> You know what the truth is this morning?

1018. Don't fall out with me right here. Okay?

1019. When you got saved, you know what

1020. happened? You died to death.

  1021. [laughter]

1022. >> Oh, that'll help you THIS MORNING. YOU

  1023. DIED to sin.

1024. >> You're right. And any effect of sin in

1025. your life that comes upon you, you allow

  1026. it to come.

  1027. >> That's right. Good pre.

  1028. >> Amen.

1029. >> There's no temptation taking you but

1030. such as is common to man. But the Bible

1031. says he that he will make a way of

1032. escape for you that you may be able to

1033. bear. How is that? Through and by the

1034. power of the spirit of God.

  1035. >> I'm saying there is dominance. There's

  1036. deliverance. There's a departure from

1037. condemnation. But there is DOMINANCE

1038. OVER THE CONTROL OF THIS WORLD. IF YOU

1039. ARE A CHILD OF GOD, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO

1040. live ruled by your feelings, ruled by

1041. the people around you, RULED BY THIS

1042. WORLD. YOUR SIN DOES NOT CONTROL YOU

1043. this morning. If you allow it to do so,

1044. that is on your own terms.

  1045. >> Amen.

1046. >> You say, "Preacher, where you going with

  1047. all this?" Well,

1048. I was hoping somebody get happy. Amen.

  1049. Good tonight.

1050. Verse number 18. Y'all about to kill me.

1051. I'll say this. Verse number 18, where

1052. judgment was, now there's justification.

1053. Therefore, as by the offense of one,

1054. judgment came upon all men to

1055. condemnation, even so by the

1056. righteousness of one, the free gift came

  1057. upon all men

1058. >> under justification of life. You say,

1059. "Preacher, does that mean everybody's

1060. saved?" No, that means everybody can be

  1061. saved. Amen.

1062. >> Where judgment was, now there is

1063. justification. Second of all, verse 19,

1064. where condemnation was, now there is

1065. conversion. For as by one man's

1066. disobedience, many were made sinners, so

1067. by the obedience of one shall many be

  1068. made righteous.

  1069. >> Amen.

1070. >> Verse number 20. Moreover, the law

1071. entered that the offense might abound.

1072. But where sin abounded, grace did much

1073. more abound. Now, this is the last point

  1074. this morning.

  1075. We've considered the problem that's

  1076. universal. We've considered the

  1077. provision that is undeniable.

1078. But there thirdly, and I'm done. There's

1079. two possibilities that must be

  1080. understood this morning.

  1081. >> You're right, brother.

1082. >> There's two possibilities that must be

1083. understood. And you say, "What are

  1084. those, preacher?" Well,

1085. it comes down simply to this. What

  1086. you're willing to choose.

1087. [snorts] And now, there's many in this

1088. world today say that man is totally

1089. depraved, that he has no ability to

1090. choose for himself. He would not choose

1091. salvation. But the truth is this morning

1092. the Bible does not teach that. You're

  1093. >> right.

1094. >> God gives man a free will. Man was a

1095. free moral agent in the garden. Man is a

1096. free moral agent in the Baptist church

  1097. this morning.

  1098. >> You're right.

  1099. >> Some 6,000 7,000 however many years it's

1100. been. Man is still a free moral agent.

1101. And it is a choice that's left up to

1102. you. You say, "Preacher, what's the

  1103. choices?" Well, it's Jesus.

  1104. >> You're right.

  1105. >> Come on.

1106. >> Or whatever else you want to choose.

  1107. >> Amen.

1108. >> You say, "Preacher, well, I'm going to

1109. choose not to choose." Well, to choose

1110. not to choose is to choose.

  1111. >> That's right. You're right.

  1112. >> You hear what I'm saying?

  1113. >> Amen.

1114. >> To choose not to choose is to refuse.

  1115. >> Right.

1116. >> The grace of God.

  1117. >> Yeah.

1118. >> You say, "Preacher, what's my choices?

  1119. Heaven or hell?"

  1120. >> That's right.

1121. >> You say, "Preacher, how how do you see

1122. that in this text?" WELL, YOU SEE IN

1123. THIS TEXT, THE BIBLE SAID IN VERSE 18,

1124. notice again, verse 16, verse 18, same

1125. truth. Therefore, as by the offense of

1126. one, judgment came upon all men to

1127. condemnation, even so by the

1128. righteousness of one. Notice those three

  1129. words, the free gift.

  1130. You say, "Preacher, I don't see a

1131. choice." Well, let me just ask you

  1132. something. All right.

1133. Have you ever been given a gift

1134. and you didn't reach out for it and take

  1135. it?

  1136. >> That's good.

  1137. >> You say, "Preacher, that's not a

1138. choice." Well, you had to decide whether

1139. or not you was going to receive it.

  1140. >> Right.

  1141. >> Yeah.

  1142. >> Salvation is a gift.

  1143. >> Right.

1144. >> It's a gift. The Bible says in Ephesians

1145. 2:89, "For by grace are you saved

1146. through faith that not of yourselves.

  1147. It's the gift of God." That's

  1148. >> right.

1149. >> Not of works, lest any man should boast.

1150. >> And what he is doing this morning is

1151. he's holding out his gift.

  1152. >> You're right.

1153. >> And you going to have to do one of two

  1154. things.

1155. >> You're going to have to say, "Lord, I

  1156. want it."

  1157. >> Yes.

  1158. >> Lord, I'll take it.

  1159. >> Come on.

1160. >> Boy, I felt something on that.

1161. Hallelujah. I'm glad that little

  1162. seven-year-old boy didn't know no better

1163. than nothing on that altar in Greater

1164. Vision Baptist Church in Wils County,

  1165. North Carolina. Hey, I didn't know a

1166. thing. All I knew is my daddy was a

1167. great man. I was going to die and go to

1168. hell THAT NIGHT IF GOD DIDN'T SAVE ME.

1169. AND I WENT UP THERE TO THAT ALTAR AND I

1170. SAID, "LORD, I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT

1171. ME TO DO. BUT LORD, I'LL DO WHATEVER YOU

1172. ASKED. JUST SAVE ME. JUST SAVE ME." AND

1173. YOU KNOW WHAT HE DID? HE SAVED ME. AND

1174. THERE AIN'T NEVER BEEN A DAY SINCE THAT

  1175. I AIN'T BEEN SAVED. SOMEBODY SAY,

1176. "AMEN." THERE AIN'T NEVER BEEN A MOMENT,

  1177. AIN'T NEVER BEEN A TIME, AIN'T NEVER

1178. BEEN A PLACE THAT I'VE WENT THAT I GOT

1179. OUTSIDE OF HIS REACH BECAUSE I TOOK THE

  1180. FREE GIFT.

  1181. >> AMEN.

  1182. >> LORD, I want it.

1183. >> But as the offense, so also is the free

1184. gift. Let me ask you, do you want it?

  1185. >> Amen.

1186. >> Are you tired of your sin?

  1187. >> Come on.

1188. See, you going to have to realize you

  1189. you're you're

1190. I don't say this to be vulgar, but the

  1191. truth is if you're lost, you're

  1192. hellbound, friend.

  1193. >> You're right.

1194. >> With the hammer down,

1195. >> and you're going to get there quicker

1196. than you know it. One thing I've

1197. realized in the last year, and I don't

1198. know nothing about it, but I've realized

1199. so much more. Seems like just

1200. exponentially more in the last year of

1201. pastoring. God has been so good,

  1202. >> right?

1203. >> But this thing really goes by fast.

  1204. >> Amen.

1205. I mean, it gets by fast.

1206. >> I told my wife the other day, I said,

  1207. "Honey," I said, "Really, everything's

1208. been so good." I said, "I really just

1209. want it to slow down a little bit."

  1210. >> Right.

  1211. >> I said, "I'm just thankful for where

1212. we're at. I just want us to just enjoy

1213. this for a little while, and it just

1214. feels like it's just slipping away."

  1215. That's

  1216. >> right.

1217. >> But you know what the truth is this

  1218. morning? If you're lost, you've got

1219. nothing to look forward to.

  1220. >> Right.

1221. >> Yeah. The best life you're going to live

  1222. is here.

  1223. >> Right.

1224. >> And the sad thing is this life's

  1225. terrible.

  1226. >> Yeah.

1227. >> Say, "Preacher, you just said it's

1228. great. It is for me. I'm saved."

  1229. >> Amen.

1230. >> Yeah. We got to put up with a lot of

1231. junk, deal with a lot of things. But you

1232. know what the truth is? Heaven's our

  1233. home, friend.

1234. >> And the choice is yours. You see, it

1235. comes down to this choice. To choose, to

1236. not choose or to refuse brings death and

1237. damnation and hell. But I'll say this,

1238. but there is a hope that's revealed.

  1239. >> Amen.

1240. >> For the child of God. There's a higher

1241. realm that you can live on. There's a

1242. holy race of people that you can join.

1243. And there's a heavenly reward that you

  1244. can receive.

  1245. >> Amen.

  1246. >> If you'll just say, "Lord,

  1247. please

  1248. >> forgive me.

1249. Please save me from hell."

  1250. >> Amen.

1251. >> You say, "Preacher, what's it going to

1252. take?" You accepting the gift. Amen.

1253. >> As we stand this morning, every head

1254. bowed and every eye closed, she begins

1255. to play. I'm talking about abundant

  1256. grace for a hurting world. You're

  1257. hurting this morning.

1258. I'll tell you, the only thing that'll

1259. fix it [music] is Jesus.

1260. That's the only thing that'll fix it.

1261. He's the only one that gives life. He's

1262. the only one that forgives sin. He's the

1263. only one that'll bring joy into your

  1264. life.

  1265. You say, "Preacher,

1266. preacher, I'm not saved this morning.

1267. Would you please pray for me?" There's

1268. nobody looking around. Just slip your

1269. hand up where I can see it. All right,

1270. preacher, I'm not saved. Would you

1271. please pray [music] for me? Slip your

1272. hand up where I can see it and hold it.

  1273. All right. [music]

  1274. God sees that.

  1275. Here's

1276. the truth this morning. [music]

1277. When it comes down to your life and

  1278. mine,

1279. there's none of us good. [music] And

1280. your good is not going to be good enough

1281. to get you to heaven.

  1282. [music]

1283. And so what you need to do is you need

  1284. to trust Jesus.

1285. You say, "Preacher, how do I do that?

1286. Preacher, how do I do that?" Let me let

1287. me say this this morning.

  1288. It is simple [music]

  1289. simple trust

1290. [music] in the fact that he paid your

1291. sin debt. And what you're doing is

1292. saying, "Lord, [music] I take who I am

1293. and I place it on you. Please forgive me

1294. of my sins. Take my sin and give me your

  1295. righteousness."

1296. And he will save you.

1297. You just pray and ask God forgive you

1298. and he'll save you. Let me say this to

1299. you. This altar is open. If you're here

  1300. and you're lost this morning, don't

  1301. wait.

1302. Don't wait. Come to this altar and get

  1303. saved.

  1304. Don't wait. [music]

1305. His grace is good enough for you

  1306. wherever you are.

  1307. >> [music]

  1308. >> I promise you if he'll save me,

  1309. he'll save you. [music]

  1310. >> You see, I know what I am.

1311. And the fact that he would save me and

1312. he would love me boggles my mind.

1313. [music] I can tell you this, he loves

  1314. you this morning.

1315. Why don't you come? [music] Won't you

  1316. come?

1317. You can be saved today. Don't wait.

  1318. [music]

1319. Thank you for loving me. I ask it in

  1320. Jesus name. Amen.

1321. >> Thank you for joining our service today.
