  12. said, "But the life I now live in the

  14. God who loved me and gave himself for

  15. me." Amen. I appreciate the good singing

  16. this morning. If you have a Bible, I

  17. invite you to turn with me to the book

  18. of Genesis. The book of Genesis.

  48. didn't ask me to do that, okay? I'm just

  49. telling you. And be respectful of the

  50. little ones. Amen. And we there's plenty

  51. of sickness going around. Somebody say,

  52. "Amen." And so I know we I'd want that

  53. done if I was in that shape, too. So,

  54. uh, do remember that. But I appreciate

  55. him. Amen. We going to grow the church

  56. one way or another. Somebody say,

  57. "Amen." And hallelujah. And, uh, man,

  58. some of y'all got nervous right there.

  59. Amen. And we do live in America. Amen.

  60. We are in a Baptist church. Somebody say

  61. amen. Amen. Good gracious. All right.

  62. Genesis chapter number 19. And I love

  63. the Lord. Don't you?

  64. >> Amen. Boy, he's good.

  65. >> Yes.

  66. >> He saved my soul.

  67. >> Amen.

  68. >> Amen. Let me just say it again. He saved

  69. my soul. Amen. I'm born again.

  70. Hallelujah. By the blood of Jesus. And

  71. I'm on my way to heaven. Amen.

  72. >> Amen. I think we ought to just take some

  73. time every now and again, clear off a

  74. spot and just shout. Amen. That'd be all

  75. right. And uh boy, God has been good.

  76. Genesis chapter 19. I want to read,

    Genesis 19 chapter mention

  77. let's begin reading in verse number 23.

  78. Genesis chapter number 19, just for sake

  79. of time. And I'd love to read the whole

  80. chapter. Um but we'll just read just a

  81. few verses here for sake of time this

  82. morning. And you pray for us that the

  83. Lord will help us. Brother, is my mic

  84. on? Did I turn it on? Okay. We'll make

  85. sure I had it on. All right. Genesis

  86. chapter number 19. Let's begin reading

  87. verse 23.

  88. The Bible says, "The sun was risen upon

  89. the earth when Lot entered into Zor.

  90. Then the Lord rained upon Sodom and upon

  91. Gomorrah, brimstone and fire from the

  92. Lord out of heaven, and he overthrew all

  93. those cities and all the plain, and all

  94. the inhabitants of the cities, and that

  95. which grew upon the ground." But his

  96. wife looked back from behind him, and

  97. she became a pillar of salt. And Abraham

  98. got up early in the morning to the place

  99. where he stood before the Lord. And he

  100. looked toward Sodom and Gomorrah and

  101. toward all the land of the plain. And

  102. beheld, and lo, the smoke of the country

  103. went up as the smoke of a furnace. And

  104. it came to pass when God destroyed the

  105. cities of the plain that God remembered

  106. Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of

  107. the overthrow,

  108. when he overthrew the cities in the

  109. which Lot dwelt. I want you to notice

  110. that little phrase in the middle of

  111. verse number 29. The Bible says that it

  112. came to pass when God destroyed the

  113. cities of of the of the plain that God

  114. remembered Abraham.

  115. >> And I want to preach on that thought for

  116. just a little while this morning on God

  117. remembered Abraham. And let's pray and

  118. ask God to help us as we look at the

  119. text this morning. Father, thank you for

  120. the privilege to be in the house of God.

  121. Thank you for the choir singing the

  122. special songs. Thank you, God, for the

  123. opportunity to give and the offering.

  124. And Lord, I know without a shadow of a

  125. doubt your hand's been on all of it. And

  126. God, we've come to the preaching hour.

  127. God, I ask that you would help us this

  128. morning. Clothe us in our calling. Hide

  129. us behind the cross. And Lord, I pray

  130. that we'd see no man save Jesus only.

  131. God, I pray that you would help us to

  132. open our eyes and open our hearts, Lord,

  133. to the word of God. Help us to receive

  134. with meekness the engrafted word. And

  135. Lord, I pray you'll move in a mighty way

  136. today. And you told us in your word,

  137. thou wil keep him in perfect peace. He

  138. whose mind is stayed on thee because he

  139. trustth in thee. And God, I pray,

  140. Father, today we'd keep our mind focused

  141. on you. And Lord, keep our eyes and our

  142. ears, Lord, focused in on the word of

  143. God. And I pray, Lord, if there's

  144. somebody here this morning that's trying

  145. to get out of the will of God or is out

  146. of the will of God. I pray, God, that

  147. you deal with their heart today and Holy

  148. Ghost conviction, God would settle in

  149. upon them. I pray for somebody, Lord,

  150. that's here lost today. God, I know,

  151. Father, in a crowd this size, I'm sure

  152. there's somebody. And God, I pray today

  153. be the day of salvation for them. And

  154. Lord, I pray you'd help us now. We love

  155. you. Thank you for loving us. And we'll

  156. give you thanks for what you do because

  157. we ask it in Jesus name. And God's

  158. children said, "Amen." You can be

  159. seated. Thank you for standing this

  160. morning.

  161. Genesis chapter number 19 is one of I

  162. guess if we were to consider it uh in

  163. its context we would say it's one of the

  164. more darker portions of scripture in the

  165. word of God. We find here that there's a

  166. man that's gotten out of the will of God

  167. and his family has suffered because of

  168. his decisions here in our text. And

  169. where we picked up reading in verse

  170. number 23, the invitation here, rather

  171. the demand has been given to this man

  172. Lot to pick up all that he has, all his

  173. family, all his children, and to get out

  174. of the city of Sodom and Gomorrah. And

  175. if you know the story, you know this

  176. morning that Lot when he was commanded

  177. to go, the Bible says that he lingered

  178. in verse number 16. And the Bible says

  179. that literally the angels that had came

  180. to him had to pick him up and drag him

  181. and his family out of the city. And I

  182. want to say this to you this morning,

  183. lost or saved, today sin will get a grip

  184. on your life. And sometimes it's going

  185. to take an angel. Sometimes it's going

  186. to take I I'll be honest with you. Every

  187. time sin gets a grip on your life, it's

  188. going to take the power of almighty God

  189. to get you out of that situation. And

  190. Lot is lingering. In verse number 16,

  191. and the angels laid hold upon his hand

  192. and his wife and his two daughters and

  193. the Bible says, the Lord being merciful

  194. unto him, God was going to spare his

  195. life. And God is brought out of this

  196. city, of course, he tries to make a

  197. compromise with him. Here in the text,

  198. they tell him to go to the mountain. and

  199. he says, "I I don't want to go to the

  200. mountain, but just let me escape to this

  201. little city here off to the side." And

  202. what you'll find is is that that city

  203. was called Zor. And that city would also

  204. have been destroyed if Lot hadn't went

  205. and dwelt there. And so, he never did

  206. completely get out of the wickedness of

  207. Sin. He never did completely get back in

  208. the will of God. And you know what? I've

  209. seen a lot of people make an attempt to

  210. get right with God. And they'll go

  211. halfway. And they never really do go all

  212. the way with God. But somehow or

  213. another, the strings of this world are

  214. attached too strong and they do not

  215. decide to follow God, they just go a

  216. little ways and then they're satisfied

  217. with that. Well, let me say this to you

  218. this morning, friend. If you don't go

  219. all the way with God, you will suffer

  220. doom and you will suffer destruction in

  221. your life. Amen. And I notice in this

  222. text, I want to consider a few things by

  223. way of introduction, then I'll give you

  224. the message this morning. I note the

  225. time in our text. The Bible says in

  226. verse 23 that the sun was risen upon the

  227. earth when Lot entered into Zor. And so

  228. Lot here is being led out by these

  229. angels. And the next day the dawn has

  230. come. The sun is rising on the earth.

  231. And Lot is just now entering into this

  232. city. And the angels have drugged him

  233. out of there. According to verse number

  234. 22, they said that we can't do anything

  235. with this city until that you're out of

  236. here. And so he makes it into Zor in

  237. verse 23. And the Bible says in verse

  238. 24, then the Lord rained upon Sodom and

  239. upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from

  240. the Lord out of heaven. And you notice

  241. the time he was delivered. But you note

  242. the tools of destruction. And in verse

  243. 24, God uses fire and brimstone to

  244. destroy a race of people that had become

  245. so wicked in their mind that God said

  246. there is no hope of repentance for that

  247. people.

  248. >> Amen.

  249. >> And I'll say this, he went farther than

  250. just the people. You're

  251. >> right.

  252. >> You notice in our text, the tools of

  253. destruction were fire and brimstone.

  254. Now, writers disagree about what that

  255. is, but we know the text does tell us

  256. that there was fire that fell from

  257. heaven. And that brimstone is obviously

  258. some type of flaming uh ember or ash of

  259. size that would fall down there and

  260. light on fire what's in the ground. You

  261. know when you light a fire a big brush

  262. pile and the wind gets to blowing and

  263. then those embers begin to fly. What'll

  264. happen is is the fires will start

  265. elsewhere. Well, let me tell you this.

  266. The fire of God started in heaven and he

  267. let it fall out upon the earth. And let

  268. me say this, all judgment that's going

  269. to take place on this earth is going to

  270. descend from heaven. Amen. Because

  271. that's the abode of God. and the

  272. judgment of God, it will fall upon this

  273. earth. Amen. And so I note not only the

  274. time of his deliverance, but the tools

  275. of destruction. But notice the totality

  276. of the destruction. In verse 25, the

  277. Bible says, "And he overthrew those

  278. cities and all the plain and all the

  279. inhabitants of the cities and that which

  280. grew upon the ground." What you notice

  281. here in verse number 25 is that God

  282. completely decimated this land. He

  283. destroyed the plain. That means he

  284. destroyed the ground, all the cities,

  285. all the buildings, all the dwelling

  286. places. He destroyed not only the plain,

  287. but he destroyed the people. The Bible

  288. says, "And all the inhabitants of the

  289. cities." So he destroyed the cities and

  290. he destroyed the consumers in those

  291. cities. But then he also not only

  292. destroyed the plain and the people, but

  293. he also destroyed the plants. Notice

  294. verse 25. And that which grew upon the

  295. ground. Let me say this to you. Do you

  296. think them plants did anything wrong?

  297. No. But they was tainted by sin. You're

  298. >> right.

  299. >> And you say, "Preacher, what does that

  300. show us?" Well, that shows how harshly

  301. God deals with sin. His judgment when it

  302. comes, it is merciless. And God will not

  303. stay his wrath. For any man, woman, boy,

  304. or girl, even a plant or animal. Amen.

  305. God's wrath will consume everything that

  306. gets in its path. And you say,

  307. "Preacher, I THOUGHT GOD WAS A God of

  308. love." And he is. But let me say this to

  309. you this morning. When he gets done,

  310. he's done. And when JUDGMENT COMES, HE

  311. WILL NOT STAY HIS WRATH. AMEN.

  312. >> I'll tell you this this morning that

  313. those that do not believe, those that

  314. will not receive Jesus Christ as their

  315. Lord and Savior will experience the

  316. judgment and the wrath of Almighty God

  317. throughout the eons of eternity. They

  318. will experience the fire. They will know

  319. the flame and the brimstone, the forever

  320. burning place. And you SAY, "PREACHER, I

  321. DON'T LIKE THAT." WELL, LET ME TELL YOU

  322. THIS MORNING, if you're not saved this

  323. morning, it's where you're headed. AMEN.

  324. YOU'RE HEADED TO A PLACE CALLED HELL.

  325. I'm going to tell you one MORE TIME, GOD

  326. DIDN'T MAKE IT FOR you this morning. He

  327. made it FOR THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS.

  328. BUT THE TRUTH IS, IF YOU CHOOSE TO

  329. FOLLOW THE DEVIL'S WAY and you CHOOSE TO

  330. FOLLOW IN THIS DEVIL'S WORLD AND TO

  331. FOLLOW HIS WORD AND BE OBEDIENT to him

  332. AND CALL HIM MASTER, YOU WILL END up in

  333. a place called hell. Amen. Right?

  334. >> And the Bible tells us that God

  335. destroyed it all. The totality of this

  336. destruction even went to the plants and

  337. animal life. He destroyed everything

  338. that the land was. You see what he

  339. wanted to do? He took the people out,

  340. but he also wanted them to not have a

  341. chance to be able to build back.

  342. >> And you know, I've heard it said, I

  343. can't verify this this morning, but I've

  344. heard it said that nobody knows where

  345. Sodom and Gomorrah was. that the

  346. totality of the burning was so much that

  347. nobody there was no ruins left behind.

  348. God literally burned it into into

  349. non-existence.

  350. And I noticed this in our text and we'll

  351. get into the message. You see the tying,

  352. the tools, the totality. But notice the

  353. truth in verse 26.

  354. The Bible says in verse number 26, "But

  355. his wife," that's Lot's wife, "looked

  356. back from behind him, and she became a

  357. pillar of salt." Now, I could preach on

  358. this dear lady this morning, but I just

  359. want to give you a few things about her,

  360. and then we'll get into the message this

  361. morning. You see, Lot's wife was a

  362. victim of somebody else's choices. And

  363. because of her husband's choices and

  364. refusing to lead her home, she here had

  365. made her abode in this land in a place

  366. where she should have never been. And

  367. because she was in that place by

  368. somebody else's decision, what happened

  369. to her is is that she became acquainted

  370. with that land. And what happened out of

  371. that is that their children were raised

  372. in that land. If you were here for

  373. Sunday school this morning, you would

  374. know that there was six, at least six

  375. children that Lot had and two

  376. sons-in-law at least there in the land.

  377. And so I there's many different reasons

  378. we could say we could wonder about why

  379. that she looked back. But I'll tell you

  380. this regardless of why she looked back

  381. because she had a desire to. You're

  382. >> right.

  383. >> She looked back because her babies were

  384. in there.

  385. >> She looked back because maybe her

  386. grandchildren were in there. [snorts]

  387. >> She looked back because maybe her

  388. friends were in there. What I'm saying

  389. was is they had got attack. They had GOT

  390. ATTACHED TO THE WORLD. AND WHEN GOD

  391. BROUGHT JUDGMENT, GOD TOOK AWAY

  392. EVERYTHING that was precious to her.

  393. That's right.

  394. >> Let me tell you something this morning.

  395. When you get attached to this world, you

  396. better mark her down, friend. You're

  397. going to come up empty. Amen. You'll

  398. lose every bit of it and you'll never

  399. have nothing to hang on to. She looked

  400. back because she felt like that was all

  401. she had left. Amen.

  402. >> Right.

  403. >> But you know what? Her desire brought

  404. her disobedience.

  405. In verse number 17, the Bible says, "The

  406. angels told them. They said, "Look not

  407. behind thee." Direct command of God.

  408. They said, "Don't look back." Let me say

  409. this to you this morning. We can't

  410. afford to look back.

  411. >> You're right.

  412. >> Paul said it this way. The writer of

  413. Hebrews said, "We're not of them that

  414. draw back under predition."

  415. >> Yes.

  416. >> And that's what happens if you draw

  417. back. You draw them back unto predition.

  418. That's destruction.

  419. >> Right?

  420. >> And it led to her death in the text. She

  421. became a pillar of salt. And you know

  422. what the truth about this lady that I

  423. want to tell you this morning and I'll

  424. give you the message. You see, her

  425. direction was never able to be changed.

  426. You know what? When she became a pillar

  427. of salt, you know what the way what way

  428. she was pointing?

  429. She was looking towards Sodom. Let me

  430. say this to you this morning. Because

  431. Lot chose while he was alive to pitch

  432. his family towards Sodom. His wife when

  433. she died had no choice but to look

  434. toward Sodom.

  435. >> You're right.

  436. >> She looked that way because her husband

  437. way back a few chapters before in

  438. chapter 13 and verse number 10 had

  439. decided to look that way himself. AND

  440. BECAUSE HE DECIDED TO LOOK THAT WAY, SHE

  441. DIED LOOKING THAT WAY.

  442. >> YES.

  443. >> And she'll forever be remembered as the

  444. woman that looked back.

  445. I'll say this to you this morning,

  446. Daddy, your decisions affect more than

  447. just you.

  448. >> You're right,

  449. >> mama. Your decisions affect more than

  450. just you.

  451. >> But I notice in our text in verse 27,

  452. the Bible says, "And Abraham got up

  453. early in the morning to the place where

  454. he stood before the Lord." And I notice

  455. first of all here in our man Abraham

  456. thinking about this thought that God

  457. remembered Abraham. I noticed the

  458. concern of Abraham. The Bible says you

  459. notice there first of all it says he got

  460. up early. Abraham obviously in our text

  461. of course we know that he has not had

  462. any conversation with Lot up until this

  463. time. He didn't never go down to Sodom

  464. and Gomorra because he knew that he was

  465. not welcome there. Amen. And the Bible

  466. does not record on the pages of

  467. scripture where Lot and Abraham ever

  468. meet again after this again. But I do

  469. know that in their departure when they

  470. decided to split off and go separate

  471. ways that Lot went his direction and

  472. Abraham went his. And though Lot

  473. probably forgot about Abraham, let me

  474. tell you something. Abraham never did

  475. forget about Lot. Amen. And Lot was on

  476. his mind. And because of that, in

  477. chapter number 18, God come to Abraham

  478. and he said, "Look, I've got to tell you

  479. what I'm going to do." He Sodom and

  480. Gomorrah the sin of it is very great. In

  481. chapter 18 and verse 20 he said their

  482. sin is very grievious and he said I'm

  483. going to go down and see whether they've

  484. done all together according to the cry

  485. of it. And he was telling Abraham look

  486. I'm going to destroy that place because

  487. of their sin. And the Bible tells us

  488. that because of the intervention of the

  489. Lord desiring to destroy that land of

  490. Sodom and Gomorrah Abraham begins his

  491. intercession in chapter number 18

  492. praying that God would deliver Lot. Yes.

  493. >> Why? Because he loved it.

  494. >> Yes.

  495. >> And you see, he was concerned. And from

  496. verse 23 of chapter 18 to verse number

  497. 33, Abraham pleads with God on behalf of

  498. this young man, Lot that God would

  499. deliver him. And it's interesting that

  500. he does not plead personally for Lot. He

  501. does not PLEAD PERSONALLY FOR LOT'S

  502. FAMILY, but he speaks of the city in a

  503. generic sense. And and and what's

  504. interesting about that is is that

  505. Abraham as he's pleading for that city,

  506. God knew who he had in mind. And I want

  507. you to think about this with me this

  508. morning. Think about first of all in

  509. verse number 27. You see his concern. I

  510. think about the Lord and his concern.

  511. Notice verse 27. And Abraham got up

  512. early in the morning to the place,

  513. notice this, where he stood before the

  514. Lord. Now, that's a reference to chapter

  515. number 18 and verse number in verse

  516. number 22 and 23. You see, Abraham and

  517. those three men had journeyed up on the

  518. mountain and they were looking off of

  519. that mountain down on Sodom and

  520. Gomorrah. And as those two men left and

  521. Jesus there, the pre-incarnate Christ

  522. stays with Abraham in chapter number 18,

  523. they begin to converse, Abram draws

  524. near. And so the next day after the Lord

  525. departs and Abraham gets up early in the

  526. morning and he goes back to that same

  527. mountaintop where they were looking off

  528. where just the day before he was looking

  529. off with God and pleading for Lot and

  530. his family on their behalf. He goes back

  531. to that same place and begins to look

  532. off. And I want you to think about this

  533. with me. He went back to the last place

  534. he had fellowship with the Lord. Let me

  535. say this to you. An intercession in your

  536. life, that's a place where you've got to

  537. live. You're

  538. >> right. were the last place you spoke to

  539. him.

  540. >> Yeah.

  541. >> But I noticed not only that, but I want

  542. you to think about this. You think about

  543. the Lord in his concern, but I think

  544. about the look in his concern. Notice

  545. verse 28. And he looked toward Sodom and

  546. Gomorrah. Now, I want you to think about

  547. this with me this morning. They didn't

  548. have cell phones. They didn't have any

  549. extra type of communication other than

  550. just talking or by a letter. That's all

  551. that they had. And so when Abraham looks

  552. out over that plane and you know what he

  553. sees? He sees it burning.

  554. He sees the smoke and he's looking out

  555. there and you know what Abram had just

  556. prayed in the chapter before? He said,

  557. "Lord, if there be 10 righteous there,

  558. would you spare the city?" You remember

  559. what God told him? He said,"Abram, I'll

  560. spare it." But you know what happened

  561. when he woke up the next morning? The

  562. city was burning.

  563. >> Let me ask you this. Do you think

  564. Abraham thought his prayer was answered?

  565. But you know what? He went back because

  566. he knew that judgment was coming.

  567. >> Amen.

  568. >> Abram Abraham stopped short in his

  569. intercession because he knew where God's

  570. line was.

  571. >> Right.

  572. >> There's been people I've prayed for in

  573. this life and I've watched them slip out

  574. into eternity because I knew that the

  575. last time I talked to them about the

  576. Lord and they rejected it that God was

  577. done with them.

  578. >> Abraham looked at that city and he saw

  579. the fire, he saw the burning and his

  580. look, what what was the first thing that

  581. crossed his mind? lot was. You see, he

  582. went back to that place. You know what

  583. he could have done? He could have stayed

  584. at home. You're

  585. >> right.

  586. >> But you know what he did? He went back

  587. to that place so he could see. Let me

  588. tell you something. One of these days

  589. when we get to heaven, Amen. The Bible

  590. teaches the book of Revelation that the

  591. righteous are going to look over and see

  592. the judgment of the wicked. And when we

  593. see the judgment of the wicked, we're

  594. going to shout, "Praise the Lord.

  595. Allelujah. Hallelujah to the Lamb

  596. forever more." You say, "Preacher, how

  597. is that?" Because those who are

  598. righteous, we've been made righteous.

  599. And we know those that reject God. And

  600. those who refuse salvation, they will be

  601. judged and they will be rightfully

  602. judged. And that will bring glory to the

  603. father.

  604. >> Amen.

  605. >> But you see, Abraham's concern caused

  606. him to go back. Let me ask you, when's

  607. the last time you went back

  608. >> good

  609. >> to the place where you talked with the

  610. Lord about that soul? I notice not only

  611. the concern of the servant, but I

  612. consider the condition of the city in

  613. verse 28. And he looked toward Sodom and

  614. Gomorra and toward all the land of the

  615. plain. And behold, and lo, the smoke of

  616. the country went up as the smoke of a

  617. furnace. It implies here, of course, we

  618. know that there was fire according to

  619. verse 24 that he rained fire and

  620. brimstone down from down from God out of

  621. heaven. And then there is the fumes in

  622. verse 28. That word smoke in verse

  623. number 28 literally translates to the

  624. word fumed. The smoke of it was so great

  625. that Abraham was able to see it so far

  626. away it beheld. And the Bible says that

  627. it was like a furnace. Notice that in

  628. verse 28, it went up as the smoke of a

  629. furnace. Now, that furnace is what they

  630. call a brick kiln. And if you've ever

  631. seen a brick kiln in Bible days, what it

  632. looks like? It looks like a little pot

  633. and the top of it funnels. And the image

  634. of this smoke that he saw, you know what

  635. he saw? It looked like a plume, a smoke

  636. stack coming straight up out of Sodom

  637. and Gomorrah. I'm talking about the fire

  638. was so hot he said it looked like the

  639. fire coming out of a brick kilm. You

  640. know what they would do in a brick kilm?

  641. That's what they would use to melt metal

  642. down to bend it.

  643. Abraham saw the heat.

  644. He saw how hot it was.

  645. >> I'm telling you this is how God how

  646. serious God is about sin.

  647. >> Right?

  648. >> I'm telling you, hell is a place where

  649. the worm dieth not and the fire is not

  650. quenched. Where the wicked will be

  651. judged perpetually, eternally forever.

  652. There will be no resting place. There

  653. will be no breaks. Amen. When you go

  654. stand before the great white throne of

  655. judgment, you'll think that you're going

  656. to have a break from hell. But I'll tell

  657. you, you could wish a million times over

  658. that you could be back in hell to stand

  659. before a holy God with justice and

  660. righteousness on his side. And he'll

  661. stand and look at you and SAY, "WHAT DID

  662. YOU DO with my son, Jesus?"

  663. You know what? You'll have nothing to

  664. say.

  665. >> And hell will literally be a place of

  666. burning exactly like this. You think

  667. about the condition of the city. You

  668. say, "Preacher, what's the importance of

  669. that?" Well, you understand that all

  670. this world and all that in it is is

  671. going to do this very same thing one of

  672. these days,

  673. >> right?

  674. >> You see, the wickedness of our world is

  675. just piling up.

  676. >> It's just heaping up and heaping up and

  677. heaping up down through the years. Amen.

  678. All these years, the sin of the human

  679. race has just gotten more gross and more

  680. gross before God. And as it heaps up,

  681. one of these days, God is going to deal

  682. with the place. Amen. He's going to burn

  683. this world up. Amen. The Bible says in

  684. the book of Revelation, chapter number

  685. 19, he said, "I saw him that sat on a

  686. throne." He said, "From whose face the

  687. earth and heaven fled away, and the

  688. earth and heaven are going to flee and

  689. be destroyed. The ground's going to be

  690. destroyed. The people's going to BE

  691. DESTROYED." I'M SAYING ALL OF IT'S GOING

  692. TO BE DESTROYED. WHY? BECAUSE GOD is a

  693. mighty judge AND HE WILL JUDGE ALL sin

  694. and every sinner

  695. >> that's tainted by sin. And this world's

  696. going to have to be renovated

  697. just like Sodom and Gomorra to be a

  698. place of burning. And I noticed this.

  699. Isn't it interesting that in the all of

  700. this darkness, there's still a ray of

  701. light. In verse 29, the Bible says that

  702. it came to pass when God destroyed the

  703. cities of the plain that God remembered

  704. Abraham and sent Lot out of the midst of

  705. the overthrow when he overthrew the

  706. cities in the which Lot dwelt. You see

  707. the concern of the servant, the

  708. condition of the city, but note the

  709. compassion of the sovereign. And I'll be

  710. done this morning. You see in this text,

  711. all this darkness, all this destruction.

  712. You think about everything that's been

  713. destroyed. The city was destroyed. The

  714. people were destroyed. the plant and

  715. animal life was destroyed. There was

  716. nothing left. There was nothing left

  717. behind. GOD BURNED IT ALL UP. BUT IN THE

  718. TEXT, the Bible says that it came to

  719. pass that when while he was destroying

  720. THE CITIES OF SODOM AND GOMORRAH. THERE

  721. WAS ONE person that walked out of there.

  722. There was one man that walked out of

  723. there. And the Bible says HE WALKED OUT

  724. OF THERE BECAUSE GOD remembered Abraham.

  725. >> Amen.

  726. I want to give you three things and I'll

  727. be done.

  728. I want you to notice first of all here

  729. concerning the compassion

  730. of the sovereign, you know, first of all

  731. the father's remembrance, verse 29,

  732. at the very same moment that God

  733. destroyed the cities of the plain, the

  734. Bible says that God remembered. And I

  735. want you to think about this with me

  736. this morning. What do we believe about

  737. God? God is infinite, isn't he?

  738. >> Amen. He's all powerful. God is

  739. omnisient. That means he's all knowing.

  740. >> God is omnipresent. That means God is

  741. everywhere all the time. Amen. And what

  742. I find in this text is is that when Lot

  743. is walking out of this city, you see

  744. Abraham had prayed a prayer in chapter

  745. number 18. And when he woke up the next

  746. day and he saw the smoke, you know what?

  747. I can almost I I don't know what was

  748. going through his mind, but I do know

  749. this. I I'm sure in his heart he was

  750. praying, "Boy, I hope LOT GOT OUT.

  751. BOY, I HOPE THEY got out." Oh, but

  752. friend, there was somebody that knew a

  753. whole lot more than Abraham did.

  754. >> Amen.

  755. >> Amen. There was somebody that could go

  756. somewhere Abraham never went. Amen.

  757. There was somebody that could do

  758. something Abraham could never do. You

  759. You say, "Preacher, what are you

  760. saying?" I'M SAYING IF ABRAHAM COULD

  761. HAVE WENT to Sodom and Gomorrah, he

  762. couldn't have talked loud enough up out

  763. of getting out of Sodom and Gomorrah.

  764. Hey friend, there's people in your life.

  765. IT DON'T MATTER WHAT YOU TELL THEM. IT

  766. DON'T MATTER WHAT YOU DO FOR THEM. THERE

  767. IS NOTHING. THERE IS NO HELP THAT YOU

  768. CAN GIVE. OH, BUT FRIEND, ABRAHAM

  769. DECIDED WHEN HE KNEW IT WAS OUT OF HIS

  770. HANDS. HE COULD TALK TO ONE WHOSE HANDS

  771. HOLD THE WORLD AND GOD WOULD TAKE CARE

  772. OF IT. WHY? BECAUSE GOD NEVER FORGETS.

  773. HALLELUJAH. GOD ALWAYS REMEMBERS. HEY,

  774. LOT. AMEN. HE WAS NOT DOWN THERE

  775. FORGOTTEN. AMEN. THOUGH IT WAS BY HIS

  776. OWN CHOICE, THOUGH HE'D MADE HIS OWN

  777. DECISION TO GO HIS OWN WAY. OH,

  778. HALLELUJAH. I'M THANKFUL THAT JESUS THAT

  779. GOD NEVER FORGETS ONE OF HIS CHILDREN.

  780. AMEN. GOD REMEMBERED. AMEN. I'll say

  781. this. God remembered the prayer

  782. >> of Abraham.

  783. >> You think about that. He remembered all

  784. that intercession. Lord, if there be 50,

  785. Lord, if there be 45, Lord, if there be

  786. 40, Lord, if there be 30, Lord, IF THERE

  787. BE 20, LORD, IF THERE BE 10, WILL YOU

  788. spare the city?

  789. >> Yes.

  790. >> He remembered that. What was Abraham

  791. doing? He was showing his love.

  792. >> Amen.

  793. >> For Lot.

  794. >> Amen.

  795. >> But I'll say say this, he didn't only

  796. remember Abraham's prayer.

  797. >> Come on.

  798. Amen.

  799. >> He also remembered that person.

  800. >> You know, I I said this in Sunday school

  801. this morning. I said Abraham's decision

  802. caused Lot to go that way.

  803. >> Right?

  804. And Abraham, I don't know if it was ever

  805. in the back of his mind,

  806. he's down there because of my mistake.

  807. >> He's down there because I had a lapse of

  808. faith.

  809. But you know what? Abraham didn't never

  810. quit praying for him. That's

  811. >> right.

  812. >> Because he God remembered his prayer,

  813. but he also remembered that person. You

  814. see, Abraham took Lot under his wing

  815. because he wanted to deliver him, too.

  816. >> Yeah.

  817. And in this text, you notice the Bible

  818. says that God remembered, but I also not

  819. only see the father's remembrance, but I

  820. see the faithful's request. God

  821. remembered Abraham.

  822. You see, God remembered his prayer. God

  823. remembered the person. He remembered

  824. Lot. But he also remembered Abraham

  825. himself.

  826. >> You say, "Preacher, what is that?" Well,

  827. who's Abraham? He's the father of the

  828. faith. Genesis 15 verse number six. And

  829. Abraham believed in the Lord, and it was

  830. counted unto him for righteousness.

  831. >> You see, God delivered Lot that day

  832. because of who Abraham was. You're

  833. >> right.

  834. >> Some of y'all hook up with that in a

  835. minute.

  836. >> God delivered you.

  837. >> Yes.

  838. >> God delivered me.

  839. >> Because of Jesus.

  840. >> Amen.

  841. >> Who he is.

  842. >> Yes.

  843. >> That's why I got lifted out.

  844. >> Amen. Right.

  845. >> I didn't get delivered because I was

  846. righteous.

  847. >> You're right.

  848. >> I didn't get delivered because I had

  849. done anything, but I got delivered on

  850. the terms of somebody else.

  851. >> Amen.

  852. >> Hallelujah.

  853. >> There is the father's remembrance and

  854. the faithful's request. You see, Abraham

  855. prayed. God remembered Abraham. And

  856. notice that next phrase, and sent Lot

  857. out of the midst of the overthrow.

  858. You see the father's remembrance and the

  859. faithful's request. But notice the

  860. fallen

  861. the fallen's rescue.

  862. You see, this is what's interesting to

  863. me about Lot. And I I just want I just

  864. want to preach for just a minute. All

  865. right, that'd be all right.

  866. >> Amen.

  867. >> You see, all three of the characters in

  868. this text were all righteous.

  869. God is the embodiment of righteous

  870. righteousness, isn't he? Amen. And the

  871. Bible says that God remembered Abraham.

  872. What was Abraham? He was righteous,

  873. >> right? Amen.

  874. >> He believed the Lord has imputed unto

  875. him for righteousness. But you see what

  876. Lot see Lot was also righteous as well.

  877. Listen to what second Peter says. Second

    2 Peter 2 chapter mention

  878. Peter chapter 2, turn there in your

  879. Bible with me. You need to read this.

  880. You see, if Lot's story in the book of

  881. Genesis was all we had to go by, we

  882. wouldn't have much on this man Lot for

  883. courage to say that he was saved.

  884. Second Peter chapter 2.

    2 Peter 2 chapter mention

  885. Some of y'all cheaters need to get a

  886. Bible like mine that ain't got no tabs

  887. in it. Amen. Second Peter 2 verse number

  888. 7

  889. verse 6. The Bible says, "And turning

  890. the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into

  891. ashes, condemned them with an overthrow,

  892. making them an ensemble unto those that

  893. after should live ungodly, and delivered

  894. what? just lot vexed with the filthy

  895. conversation of the wicked. Verse number

  896. eight, notice this. For that righteous

  897. man dwelling among them in seeing and

  898. hearing vexed his righteous soul from

  899. day to day with their unlawful deeds.

  900. Now, isn't it interesting in this text

  901. that we can see God is righteous,

  902. Abraham is righteous, but Lot is as

  903. well. What is the difference? Now, we

  904. could say this morning, God is always

  905. righteous in his actions, isn't he?

  906. >> Yeah.

  907. >> He never fails. He's never unfaithful.

  908. What do we know about Abraham? Abraham,

  909. for the most part, was righteous, but he

  910. failed as well.

  911. >> Yeah.

  912. >> But what do we know about Lot? Lot spent

  913. his entire life

  914. against what God wanted him to do.

  915. >> But the Bible still says he's righteous.

  916. >> Let me just take time out right there

  917. for just a minute and say this, okay?

  918. You don't know who's going to heaven and

  919. who's not.

  920. >> That's right.

  921. >> Amen. And what I notice about this here

  922. is the is the Bible, it clearly defines

  923. Abraham and Lot as righteous men. And so

  924. they were they they started out right.

  925. Lot obviously had trusted the Lord at

  926. some point in his life. And so what does

  927. that tell us? Well, Lot is in heaven.

  928. >> You're right.

  929. >> Just like Abraham is.

  930. >> But you look at their direction in life.

  931. You see their their beginning. Amen. And

  932. their destination is the same. But all

  933. the direction in their life is

  934. completely different. You're

  935. >> right. What do we notice about that?

  936. Well, it started out with the place the

  937. way that they turned when they pitched

  938. their tent.

  939. >> One pitched his tent toward Sodom, that

  940. place of wickedness, and the other

  941. pitched his tent toward the promise

  942. where God had desired for THEM TO BE.

  943. WHAT I'M SAYING this morning is this.

  944. When they started out, Amen. They had

  945. the same goal in mind, BUT ONE DIRECTION

  946. JUST POINTING THE WRONG DIRECTION LED

  947. THEM ON COMPLETELY different paths.

  948. >> Right? Here's the end of the story.

  949. You see in this text, Lot lost it all.

  950. He loses his children,

  951. two daughters that were married, at

  952. least two sons that were in the city, at

  953. least. And in this text, he loses his

  954. wife. He's left with his two daughters

  955. and himself.

  956. He walks out of this city and out of

  957. this city as he comes out in

  958. deliverance. God has brought him out.

  959. He's he's fled to Zor. He didn't go

  960. where God wanted him to. And so he goes

  961. to Zoir. And then in Zoir, his

  962. daughters, Amen, they they THEY SLEEP

  963. WITH HIM OUT OF AN INCESTUOUS

  964. RELATIONSHIP. AND BECAUSE OF THAT, TWO

  965. NATIONS are born THAT WOULD FIGHT

  966. AGAINST THE CHILDREN OF Israel forever.

  967. >> Right?

  968. >> Moab and Ammon. And you say, "Preacher,

  969. what's the difference?" I believe Lot's

  970. in heaven today.

  971. >> But you know what? None of his family

  972. is. You're

  973. >> right. Come on. Not a single one of

  974. them. And you notice in the text, the

  975. Bible doesn't say God remembered Lot,

  976. does it.

  977. You know what? If Abraham would have

  978. never prayed, Lot would have never made

  979. it out.

  980. >> You're right.

  981. >> He'd have burned up with the rest of

  982. them.

  983. >> Never had another chance. And you know

  984. what? He got another chance and he blew

  985. it.

  986. >> The last thing we read about Lot in our

  987. text, the Bible says, is that he was

  988. drunk and he was defiled. That's the

  989. last thing you ever read about Lot in

  990. the Old Testament. And if it was not for

  991. what Peter put in his epistle, we

  992. wouldn't even know that Lot was saved.

  993. You're

  994. >> right. Amen.

  995. >> You say, "Preacher, what are you

  996. saying?" I'm saying this. You can be

  997. saved just as saved as I am or just as

  998. saved as the Apostle Paul is. And you

  999. can waste your life. And you know

1000. what'll happen? You might get off

1001. unscathed in your life. You might think

1002. you do all right. You might get

1003. delivered. Amen. But those that come

1004. behind you will die and go to hell

  1005. because your failure

  1006. >> right

1007. >> to obey. GOD DIDN'T SPARE THE CITY

  1008. BECAUSE THERE WASN'T 10 RIGHTEOUS THERE.

1009. THERE WASN'T NINE RIGHTEOUS THERE. THERE

1010. WASN'T EIGHT RIGHTEOUS THERE. THERE

1011. WASN'T FIVE RIGHTEOUS THERE. THERE

1012. WASN'T EVEN TWO RIGHTEOUS THERE. LOT WAS

1013. THE ONLY ONE. AND GOD DELIVERED HIM. And

1014. you know what? The rest of that bunch

1015. died and went to hell.

  1016. >> You're right.

1017. >> You say, "Preacher, how is that?"

  1018. Because Lot failed.

1019. in the direction of his life.

1020. Here's the difference. You see Abraham

1021. in verse number 27, he stood on higher

  1022. ground.

1023. Think about this. He was looking off

1024. down at that city. He didn't only stand

1025. on higher ground, but he stood on holy

  1026. ground.

1027. >> It was the place where he stood before

  1028. the Lord.

1029. He didn't only stand on higher ground

1030. and on holy ground, but he stood on

1031. ground where he poured out his heart to

  1032. God.

1033. And because of Abraham, there was

1034. deliverance of this man Lot. But you

1035. know what? He was never able to salvage

1036. any of his family. What do we know about

1037. Abraham? He's the father of Israel.

1038. Matthew chapter 1 verse number one, the

    Matthew 1 chapter mention

1039. Bible says, "This is the generation of

1040. Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son

  1041. of Abraham.

  1042. Lot's never remembered.

1043. Lot has nothing. He has no family.

1044. He doesn't even have a faithful work

1045. that can be attributed to his name."

1046. Here's what I want to ask you this

  1047. morning.

1048. God remembered Abraham because of his

1049. prayer, and God sent Lot out. But you

1050. know what? He was never able to do

  1051. anymore with Lot

1052. because Lot was unwilling to repent.

1053. Here's what's going to happen to some of

1054. you here this morning. You're going to

1055. live your life. You're just as saved as

1056. I am. I know it's tight right now and

1057. you don't and you probably don't like

1058. what I'm selling you, but I'm going to

1059. tell you the truth, okay?

1060. >> You're going to live your life and

1061. you're going to live it out doing what

1062. you want to do, going where you want to

1063. go, being how you want to be, acting how

1064. you want to act, doing all the things

1065. that the world has to offer. and you're

1066. going to look exactly like the world.

1067. Somebody might pray and you might get

1068. right with God. But you know what's

1069. going to happen? Your children, your

  1070. grandchildren, your great grandchildren

1071. will die lost and go to hell

1072. >> because you refuse to get right with

  1073. God.

  1074. >> Amen.

1075. >> YOU SAY, "PREACHER, WELL, I'VE GOTTEN

1076. RIGHT WITH GOD." OH, but what about your

  1077. children?

1078. Look, I know this is not fun preaching

1079. this morning, but I'm telling you the

1080. truth, okay? It matters more in life

1081. whether just you are right with God or

1082. not. I'm saying your lapse OF FAITH

1083. COULD BE WHAT CAUSES SOMEBODY ELSE TO

1084. DIE AND GO TO HELL. YOU'RE

  1085. >> RIGHT.

  1086. >> Lot his children

1087. died and went to hell.

1088. his wife quite possibly died and went to

1089. All I know is Abraham said if there be

  1090. 10 righteous there and there wasn't

1091. because he burned it down

  1092. >> right

1093. >> let me ask you this in your family

1094. what's the measure of intercession for

  1095. you

1096. say Abraham knew where to stop praying

1097. because he knew God wasn't going to go

  1098. any further

  1099. >> good

  1100. >> you know here's what I'm afraid of

1101. there's people in my my family dist I'm

1102. thankful most of my my family professes

1103. to be saved and I bless the Lord for

1104. that. It's because of the prayers of

1105. others that we are. Amen. Let me put

  1106. that out there.

1107. >> But I'll say this, I got some distant

1108. family. If the grace of God don't reach

1109. them somehow or another, they're going

1110. to die lost without God.

  1111. >> It's not because their parents didn't

1112. believe it. It's because their parents

1113. got out of the will of God.

  1114. >> You're right.

  1115. >> For a time.

  1116. This serious friend.

  1117. >> Amen.

1118. >> I'm talking about eternal soul. You have

1119. children. This ought to rattle you to

  1120. the core,

  1121. >> right?

1122. >> I'm talking about heaven or hell for

  1123. eternity.

  1124. >> Yeah.

1125. >> Lot got delivered because of the prayers

1126. of another. But you know what? Lot

1127. couldn't intercede for his family.

  1128. >> You're right.

1129. >> Abraham interceded for him, but Lot

1130. never interceded for any of his family.

  1131. >> You're right.

  1132. >> They all died.

1133. Every head bowed and every eye closed

  1134. this morning.

  1135. Here's the question.

1136. Is anybody going to live because of you?

1137. God remembered Abraham. Will God

  1138. remember you?

1139. I mentioned her this past week, but Miss

  1140. Modina Price,

1141. there's some prayers she prayed that God

  1142. remembered.

  1143. Brother Bobby Robertson,

  1144. Brother Paul Cisk,

1145. these oldtime saints of God prayed

1146. for their children, for their families.

1147. And we're looking at fruits of that this

  1148. morning.

1149. But if you don't continue that on,

  1150. here's what's going to happen. Your

  1151. children's going to die.

1152. See, you've got in on somebody else's

1153. prayers, but if what what are you

  1154. praying for?

1155. Are are YOU PRAYING FOR YOUR CHILDREN?

1156. HEY, if you're not, who is?

1157. I'm praying for you this morning. I'm

1158. praying for your children. I'm praying

1159. FOR THE GENERATIONS TO COME THAT AREN'T

1160. EVEN BORN YET in this CHURCH THAT GOD

1161. WOULD RAISE UP GODLY YOUNG LADIES AND

1162. GODLY YOUNG MEN TO SERVE GOD AT META'S

1163. BAPTIST CHURCH. BUT IF YOU AS the

1164. parent, IF YOU AS THE GRANDPARENT WILL

1165. NOT PRAY AND WILL NOT BEG GOD ON THEIR

1166. BEHALF, DO NOT EXPECT GOD TO BRING

  1167. DELIVERANCE.

1168. God remembered Abraham. God will

1169. remember you, BUT YOU'VE GOT TO TALK to

  1170. him.

1171. Let me say this to you, sinner.

1172. The mess that you're in in your life may

1173. be because of somebody else's decision,

1174. but ultimately here what here's what

  1175. happens. [music]

1176. If you choose to walk away from God,

1177. it'll be your own choice.

  1178. But I'll tell you this, there's a

1179. preacher this morning that's praying for

  1180. you.

1181. And I know there's some precious saints

1182. of God that's praying for you this

1183. morning. I want to ask you this

  1184. question.

1185. If you died right now, would you go to

1186. heaven or would you go to hell? [music]

1187. Do you know where you'd spend eternity

  1188. if you died?

  1189. You're burdened. See, see, you're broken

1190. because of your sin. And and the same

1191. thing that happened to those people in

1192. Sodom and Gomorra. You see, they didn't

1193. know it was coming. They didn't expect

  1194. it. [music]

1195. They didn't see it. But one day, fire

1196. started falling from the sky.

1197. Let me say this to you. Your judgment

  1198. will be swift. [music]

  1199. It'll be unexpected

  1200. and it'll be total.

1201. Say, "Preacher, I want to be saved."

1202. [music] Preacher, please. I I need to be

1203. saved. Would there be somebody like that

1204. this morning? Slip your hand up and

1205. right back down. Preacher, I need to be

  1206. saved.

1207. Be honest between you and God. Preacher,

  1208. I'm not saved. [music]

1209. Preacher, I'm not sure. Anybody like

1210. that? Preacher, I'm not sure I'm saved.

1211. Slip your hand up right back down. I

  1212. want pray for you.

1213. Be honest. When you and God,

1214. let me ask you this, child of God. Where

1215. you at? See, Lot was saved,

1216. but what direction you pointing your

1217. tent [music] in? What gate are you

  1218. dwelling in?

1219. Hey, if you're yoking up with this

1220. world, you you might escape, but your

  1221. family might not.

  1222. You cannot afford.

1223. You cannot afford to miss it.

1224. Let me ask you, say, "Preacher, would

1225. you pray for me and my family?" [music]

1226. God sees that. God sees that.

1227. Anyone else? Preacher, would you pray

1228. for me and my family? We dwell in the

  1229. gate.

  1230. >> [music]

  1231. >> God sees that.

1232. Hands all over the building. Let me ask

1233. let me tell you something this morning.

1234. There's hope. Okay, I knew this message

1235. would hit home because this is where we

  1236. all live. Okay,

1237. if you do not pray,

1238. God didn't remember Lot in that text.

  1239. He didn't remember Lot's prayer. He

1240. remembered Lot's person because of

  1241. Abraham's prayer.

  1242. >> [music]

1243. >> God ain't going to remember a prayer you

  1244. don't pray.

1245. Child of God, make sure

1246. you say, "Preacher, I've made so many

1247. mistakes to this point in my life. And

  1248. preacher, I'm seeing what you're talking

1249. about. Preacher, I'm seeing my kids. I'm

1250. seeing my grandchildren. They're not

  1251. following God.

1252. Preacher, but from this day forward, I

1253. want to pray like Abraham did.

1254. He messed up. And preacher, I've messed

1255. up, but I don't want to quit praying for

1256. them. Anybody have that resolved?

1257. Preacher, I want to pray. Preacher,

1258. would you pray for my family? God sees

1259. that. Yes, God sees that.

  1260. Hallelujah.

1261. Make it a RESOLVE IN YOUR HEART THIS

1262. MORNING. HANDS WENT UP ALL OVER THE

1263. BUILDING. MAKE IT A RESOLVE IN YOUR

1264. HEART THAT IN 2026 THAT YOU'RE GOING TO

1265. DO EVERYTHING IN YOUR POWER. YOU CAN'T

1266. FIX IT. YOU CAN'T ALWAYS FIND THEM. YOU

  1267. DON'T EVEN KNOW WHERE THEY'RE AT.

1268. ABRAHAM DIDN'T KNOW WHERE LOT WAS AT.

1269. ALL HE SAW WAS THE FLAMES. BUT OH, LET

1270. ME TELL YOU, FRIEND. HE KNEW GOD KNEW

1271. WHERE HE WAS AT. AND YOU CAN PRAY AND

1272. YOU CAN TRUST GOD. AND GOD WILL DO WHAT

  1273. YOU CANNOT DO. AMEN.

1274. >> HALLELUJAH. There is deliverance. BLESS

  1275. HIS NAME.

1276. >> LOT didn't know it WAS ABRAHAM THAT WAS

1277. PRAYING FOR HIM. AND ABRAHAM DIDN'T KNOW

1278. THAT LOT GOT BROUGHT OUT. OH, BUT THE

1279. GOD OF HEAVEN WAS WORKING ON BOTH ENDS.

1280. HALLELUJAH. BLESS HIS NAME. HEY, THE

1281. PRAYERS THAT YOU'VE PRAYED, YOU MAY

1282. NEVER SEE AN ANSWER TO HIM IN THIS LIFE.

1283. OH, BUT GOD, HE'LL ANSWER THEM. AND ONE

1284. OF THESE DAYS, LET ME TELL YOU, ABRAHAM

1285. AND LOT ARE STANDING TOGETHER ON THE

1286. SUNNY BANKS OF SWEET DELIVERANCE THIS

1287. MORNING BECAUSE ABRAHAM PRAYED FOR HIM.

  1288. AMEN.

  1289. >> AMEN. AMEN.

1290. >> You can have that same

1291. >> truth in your [music] life.

1292. You can't prevent every problem,

1293. >> but you can pray for every problem.

1294. >> You can't fix every situation, but your

1295. faith can rise above and go beyond

  1296. all the circumstances.

1297. >> Amen. Father, I pray in Jesus name,

1298. Lord, would we resolve in our hearts

  1299. this year,

1300. God, that more than anything,

1301. we would be a praying people.

1302. Lord, we just, you just showed me this

1303. morning how many families this morning

  1304. are hurting

  1305. because of this thing.

  1306. And Lord, I pray,

1307. Father, that you would help every hand

1308. that went up to make it their resolve to

  1309. pray,

1310. to pray more fervently, more faithfully

1311. [music] than they've ever prayed before

1312. because God, your hand can reach where

  1313. we can't, where we can't go.

1314. God, help us to be faithful. I pray

  1315. give us wisdom, Lord.

1316. Give us a burden, [music]

1317. Lord. We can't fix these problems,

1318. Lord. No more than Abraham could make

  1319. Sodom righteous.

1320. Lord, we can't fix our country.

1321. But Lord, you can work.

1322. You can save those God that [music] will

  1323. call upon you.

1324. God, would you help us to be faithful? I

1325. pray in Jesus name. Amen. [music]

  1326. Amen.
