Amen. Take God's word. Turn with me to

the book of Psalms. Psalms division

number 18.

I love that psalm.

Tell you this, we're far be on that.

You say, "What do you what do you mean,

preacher? We're far behind on blessing

his name." Amen.

>> And uh

I'm telling you, he's been better and

good to all of us. You said, "Preacher,

you don't know my situation." I don't

have to.

>> You're right.

>> I don't have to. He's just good. And uh

if you're here this morning, you're in

your right mind. Amen. Uh he's been good

to you.

>> Amen.

>> He's blessed you. And you say,

"Preacher, well, I'm not saved." Well,

if you're here and you can hear what I'm

saying,

>> and you want to be saved.

>> Amen.

>> You can be. Amen.

>> You're blessed this morning. You're

blessed. And I'm blessed. This church is

blessed. And I thank God for it. We

ought to bless his name for it. Amen.

>> Let's stand together. Psalm division

number 18. And uh really just

everything's led up to this point today.

Believe God put this on my heart. You

pray for me. I've just got a simple

thought on my heart and I just want to

be obedient to the Holy Spirit and obey

him. You pray God will help us. Psalm

Psalm 18 verse number one,

David says, "I will love thee, oh Lord,

my strength. The Lord is my rock and my

fortress." Amen.

>> And my deliverer,

>> my God,

>> my strength,

>> in whom I will trust, my buckler, and

the horn of my salvation

and my high tower. And in verse three,

he says, I will call upon the Lord who

is worthy to be praised.

So shall I be saved

>> from mine enemies. Yes.

>> And I want to preach on this subject for

just a little while this morning. David

said, "I will love thee."

>> Amen.

>> I want to preach on that for just a

little while. I will love thee. You

know, I was thinking about yesterday,

Valentine's Day.

I'll tell you what, we we we compare the

love symbol to a heart. Got the church

decorated here. But I tell you this,

much greater than a heart. There was a

symbol on a hill

>> far far away. some 2,000 years ago.

Amen. Two pieces of wood hun together

>> where our Lord hung. And I believe if

there's ever been a symbol of love, it's

the cross. Amen.

>> That's right.

>> And I want to preach this morning on

that thought for just a little while.

And I'm pray that the Lord will help us.

Let's seek the Father. Father, thank you

for this opportunity this morning to

preach your word. Thank you, Father God,

for this precious scripture. And Lord, I

thank you, God, today that you loved us

so much

>> that you would send your son to die in

our place,

>> to take our punishment, to bear our sin,

and to hang on Calvar's cross.

Lord, having done no evil, not deserving

to die, but being pure, holy, spotless,

and undefiled, separate from sinners,

you chose to hang there. And Lord, I

thank you for that. I thank you, God,

today that you love us the same even at

this day. Lord, you love us with a love

that will not stop. And Lord, for that

today, I want to say, I will love thee.

God, I pray that you'll help us to

receive with meekness the engrafted

word. And we'll give you thanks for what

you do because we ask it in Jesus name.

And God's children said,

>> "Amen."

This text this morning, Psalm number 18,

is a parallel text with the book of 2

Samuel chapter number 22. And if you

turn there, what you'll find is in the

last verses of chapter number 21, that

David has just begotten a great victory.

Now, David himself has is up in years

and he's not able to fight the way that

he once could. And David has become

tired, but he's got those men that are

with him. Abashai, the son of Zerui, and

those other men that are fighting with

him, his mighty men. And in that

chapter, chapter number 21, Goliath's

four brothers show up. And David's men

take out the four brothers of Goliath

there in that chapter. And the next

chapter, chapter number 22, is this

psalm that's recorded here in this text.

And it is a psalm of praise. It's a

psalm of praise for deliverance. It's a

psalm of praise for the death, over

those giants. How that God wrought

victory over those enemies. And I'll say

this and just put this out there. Amen.

When Goliath died, that didn't mean

David was done. Amen. The Philistine

army was still there and they were still

ready to fight. And and we find out that

he had four brothers. But I'm thankful

that in passage of time, David was able

to take out all the enemies. And let me

say this, uh, in your life, Jesus is

able to take out all the enemies. Amen.

It might take a little while.

Sanctification is progressive. Amen.

Salvation is immediate, but

sanctification is progressive. And so it

takes him a while. Not because he needs

a while, but just because he wants to

perform it progressively. Amen. And

sanctify you perfectly. And so David

here has come to this point and God has

wrought victory for him time and time

and time again. And Saul was never able

to deliver Israel from the Philistines.

But David discomfeitted them completely.

And all the enemies of God stood at

array against David and his armies. And

David writes this psalm as a psalm of

praise. And here it is pinned in the

heavenly hymn book of the book of

Psalms. And David highlights a lot of

things in this chapter. Now, I want to

stay in verses 1 through3, but I want to

say this here in the text. I'll give you

the outline uh here in just a minute,

but there's a lot of things that David

says in this chapter that reveals his

key to his success. And I I notice here

in this chapter in verse number 32 that

David was girded in this chapter. Look

what the Bible says in Psalm 18 and

verse 32. He said, "It is God that

girthth me with strength and maketh my

way perfect." David fully recognized

that God had enabled him and allowed him

to bring victory to the house of Israel.

And it wasn't his strength. It wasn't

even the men of Israel and that army's

strength. It had nothing to do with his

mighty men, but it had everything to do

with the girding of God Almighty. Amen.

And let me say this to you this morning,

child of God. If there is going to be

victory in your life, if there's going

to be victory in my life, it's going to

come through the girding of strength by

the father. Amen. He wasn't only girded

in verse number 32, but he was guided in

verse number 34. Look what he says. He

teacheth my hands to war so that a bow

of steel is broken by mine arms. Not

only was he girded with strength, but

God guided him in using that strength.

And let me say this to you. Knowledge is

is is strength, but let me say this.

Wisdom is strength that is functionable.

Amen. You you can be as strong as the

world, but if you don't know how to use

that strength, if you don't know how to

be guided in that strength, you'll not

be able to harness that power. But boy,

I'm thankful that God gives us his

power. But he also gives us his plan to

follow by. Amen. He's not left us alone.

Amen. And so because he was guarded with

strength and he was guided by the spirit

of God and by the scriptures the day

David says that he was graceful. Notice

verse number 33. He maketh my feet like

hind's feet and setth me upon high

places. And you know those hinds that's

a that's a deer over there in the Middle

East. And their feet is shaped in such a

way that they're able to climb up the

mountains faces. Amen. and walk in

places where man's not able to walk and

go places where you and I cannot go.

David said because he's girded with me

with strength and he has guided me. He

has made me graceful. Amen.

>> I'll say this to you this morning. If

you're ever going to be graceful in this

Christian life, it's going to be through

his guidance and by his girding. Amen.

>> He's not only graceful, but I want to

give you this and we'll get into the

thought this morning. Did I turn this

thing on, brother? I did. Okay, I'm done

forgetting. Amen. what I've done up

here. He's not only graceful, but notice

verse 35.

David has become great.

Look what he says. Thou hast also given

me the shield of thy salvation, and thy

right hand hath holden me up. Look what

he says. And thy gentleness

hath made me great.

>> Right? The same power that made the

world. The same power that spun the

planets into orbit and flung the stars

out in the sky and made this world what

it is and shaped the mountains and

formed the oceans. And the same hand

that made you and I when we were

conceived in the womb is the very same

hand David said. It's his gentleness.

Isn't it amazing that something so

powerful,

>> something so great in strength, David

said, "You girded me with strength.

You've guided me by your word." And he

said, "Now you've made me great, but

it's not because I'm strong.

>> But it's just because of that tender

touch."

>> Amen.

>> Well, I don't know about you, but I'm

thankful for the tender working.

>> You're right.

>> Of God Almighty. Yeah.

>> Isn't it a wonderful thing that the

hands that hold the universe are able to

touch the smallest places

>> in our life when we're in need, when

we're in need of help? And when we're

hurting, Amen. And and this world's left

us high and dry. Aren't you thankful

that God can reach down to them tender

PLACES IN OUR LIFE? And you know what he

can do? He can make us great. You're

>> right.

>> Amen. I'll tell you this. You'll never

be great in the eyes of God until you're

touched by his hand. Amen. And I think

about David in this chapter. He says

about the Lord here in verse number six

that God heard him. He said, "In my

distress, I called upon the Lord and

cried unto my God. He heard my voice out

of his temple and my cry came before

him." David said, "When I was in

trouble," David said, "When the enemy

was sure to take me away, I cried unto

the Lord and God heard my voice." He

heard the voice of my supplications. You

say, "What is that, preacher?" Well,

that's that hand of Almighty God.

Reaching down when we're tender and when

we're sensitive BECAUSE THE WORLD'S GOT

US in a place where we're in danger.

Amen. God reached down and touched him.

He heard him. Amen.

>> Right.

>> He heard him, but he helped him. Listen

to what he said in verse 16.

He sent me from He sent from above. He

took me. He drew me out of many waters.

>> I'll tell you this. This world's got a

lot of waters.

>> Amen.

>> You and I can drown in.

>> Yeah.

>> But David said when he heard me, he

didn't only just hear me, but he helped

me.

>> You're right.

>> Any of y'all got help in the building

this morning? Amen.

>> Drying up on the vine in here. Amen.

Y'all can say amen. It'll be all right.

He sent from above. He took me. He drew

me out of many waters. Verse 17. He

delivered me from my strong enemy and

from them which hated me. For they,

notice this, were too strong for me.

David said, I wasn't able to stand

against the enemy, but God heard my

prayer. And after he heard my prayer, he

sent his hand. He sent his servant to

help me. And thank God because this

text, he was helped. David was made

holy. The Bible says in verse 20, "The

Lord rewarded me according to my

righteousness, according to the

cleanness of mine hands. Hath he

recompensed me? For I've kept the ways

of the Lord and have not wickedly

departed from my God. Listen to what he

says. God hears him. God helps him and

all of that because he's holy. Look what

he says. Verse 24. Therefore hath the

Lord recompenseed me according to my

righteousness, according to the

cleanness of my hands. In his eyesight?

With a merciful, thou wilt show thyself

merciful. With an upright man, thou wilt

show thyself upright. With the pure,

thou wilt show thyself pure. And with

the thrower, thou wilt show thyself

thrower. What is David saying? David,

he's saying God is perfect in his

dealings.

>> Why is he perfect? Because he's holy.

>> Amen.

>> He's holy in his dealings with man. You

say, preacher, what does this have to do

with the first part of this chapter?

Well, this is why David loves the Lord.

>> You're right.

>> Let me ask you, why do you love him this

morning?

>> Amen.

>> Let me ask you first. Do you love him?

Amen.

>> Amen.

>> Let me ask you this. Why do you love

him?

>> Amen. David lays out some truths in

verses 1 through3. God had guarded him.

God had guided him. And because of that,

David had been made graceful and been

made great. We know he was king. But God

put him there. Amen. David couldn't have

got that in and of himself. That little

ruddy shepherd boy had no right to the

throne apart from the power of almighty

God. But God empowered him and God and

placed him there on the throne. And God

is using him. And David says for that,

he says, "I will love thee." Amen.

>> You know, I thought about that. I was

reading this text. You know, David says

that to the Lord hearing this text, but

I wonder I and and sadly to say, I

wonder, you know, many husbands probably

probably been a while since they've said

that to their wife.

>> Amen.

>> Let me say this to you this morning. If

you don't love your wife, you don't love

God.

>> That's right. Amen.

>> And I was thinking about this text,

David's praise unto the Lord. He says,

"I will love thee." And and I notice in

this text number one the expression of

his love. Look what he says in verse

number one. He says, "I will love thee,

oh Lord, my strength." What is David

saying? What is the expression of his

love? Well, I would say first of all,

the expression of his love was his

words.

>> What David said? And he begins in verse

number two to talk about the Lord and

who he is. He expresses his love through

his words. He expresses his love through

his works. David all these years has

been fighting the enemies of Israel and

God has brought victory and he's saying,

"I will love thee." What is he saying?

Lord, you've brought victory time and

time and time again, but I'm not done

fighting. I'm not going to quit fighting

for your people and I'm not going to

quit standing for you and your holy

mountain. WHAT DAVID IS SAYING IS, "I'LL

PRAISE YOU WITH WHAT I SAY, but I'll

praise you with how I live."

>> You're right. his words, his works, his

witness. He says, "I'll tell others."

What is this psalm recorded for

was for them to sing?

These psalms would be sung as the

children of Israel would go up to the

house of God.

>> Yeah.

>> And David gave this song to the chief

musician there. It says in the heading,

he gave this psalm so that they could

sing of this victory. It's recorded

twice in the word of God. You say,

"Preacher, what are you saying?" And I'm

saying he he expressed his love. The

Bible says, "Oh, lift up your hands in

the sanctuary and bless the Lord, all

you people of the Lord." I said it this

morning. I'll say it again. We're far

behind on blessing the Lord.

>> You say, "Preacher, well, I'm just not

that tight." Well, down at the ball

game, you get wound tight.

>> You're right.

>> Come on.

>> When's the last time you lifted your

hands and praised his name? When's the

last time that you did a work for God,

something that he commanded YOU TO DO?

WHEN'S THE LAST TIME THAT YOU TOLD

SOMEBODY ELSE about the wonder of the

works OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE? WHEN'S THE

LAST TIME THAT YOU SAID, "LORD, I'M

GOING TO LOVE YOU." AMEN.

>> AMEN.

>> Jesus said, John said it this way, and

it was really recording what Jesus said.

He said, "If you love me, you'll keep my

commandments."

>> Right?

>> DAVID SAID, "I WILL LOVE THEE." IT WAS

PERSONAL to David. The expression of his

love. Look what he says. I will love

thee, oh Lord. What does he say? My

strength.

David said, "The operation of my life

and the organization OF MY KINGDOM ONLY

OPERATES UNDERNEATH YOUR BLANKET OF

LEADERSHIP."

>> You're right.

>> Lord, I know if you DIDN'T HAVE YOUR

HAND UPON ME THAT ALL OF THIS WOULD FALL

APART AND THAT IT ALL WOULD COME TO

NOTHING. YOU UNDERSTAND THAT YOU AND I

AND OUR LITTLE LIFE'S NOTHING BUT DUST

AND ASHES WITHOUT THE MOLDING OF GOD'S

ALMIGHTY HAND IF HE DOESN'T HOLD IT

TOGETHER IT'S SURELY GOING TO FALL TO

PIECES AND DAVID SAID I'LL LOVE THEE

BECAUSE YOU'RE MY strength

>> the Bible says in the book of Colossians

chapter number one and by him all things

consist

>> means they're held together by him THE

WORLDS WERE SPUN INTO orbit but not ONLY

IN CREATION HE SUSTAINS THIS WORLD. HE

SUSTAINS YOU AND I. IF IT WERE NOT FOR

HIS HAND, WE WOULD SURELY FALTER.

>> RIGHT?

>> You say, "Preacher, well, I'm a sinner

and I don't believe that this morning."

You don't have to believe it for it TO

BE TRUE. GOD PUTS THE HEART IN YOU TO

BE. HE PUTS THE BREATH IN YOUR LUNGS TO

BREATHE. I'M SAYING, FRIEND, YOU CAN'T

LIVE WITHOUT HIM. You can't live WITHOUT

HIM. YOU CANNOT MAKE IT WITHOUT HIM.

AMEN.

>> And David says the expression of his

love, he says, "I'll tell it. I'll live

it. I'll be it.

>> Amen.

>> It's not just what David said or what

David did, but it's who David was.

>> Yeah.

>> The expression of his love. I think not

only about the expression of his love.

I'm moving quickly this morning. Not

only the expression of his love, but

notice the excellency of his Lord. In

verse two, David said, "The Lord is my

rock and my fortress and my deliverer,

my God, my strength in whom I will

trust, my buckler and the horn of my

salvation and my high tower." David

said, "God is all of these things to

me." What does this mean? Well, he says,

"The Lord is my rock." And that rock

there, you look it up, it means

stability. He gave David stability in

the times of his life when he was

running from Saul. You see, David was a

fugitive on this earth for most of his

life because of the threats that were

upon him. But even amidst all of that

running, David had a rock, a place that

he could run to and find stability. And

I'm thankful that in Jesus, you and I

have A STABLE PLACE. AMEN. FOR OTHER

FOUNDATION CAN NO MAN LAY THAN THAT THAT

IS LAID, WHICH IS CHRIST JESUS. HE IS A

SURE, STABLE FOUNDATION. AMEN.

>> The Lord is my rock. He is my fortress.

He's stability, but he's security.

>> Amen.

>> He's stability through the fight. He is

security from the fight.

>> You're right.

>> David said he gives me a place to hide.

In this chapter just before in chapter

number 17, listen to what he said in

verse number eight. Keep me as the apple

of thine eye. Hide me under the shadow

of thy wings.

>> He got a place to hide.

>> Amen.

>> She said, "I've got something to stand

on when I'm not just standing on him,

>> but I'm hiding behind him."

>> Amen.

>> He's a protector of my life.

>> He gives stability. He gives security.

He not only is the fortress and the

rock, but he is the deliverer. He has a

strategy.

He's got a way for us to go. You're

>> right. Come on.

>> Listen to what David said in Psalm

number 23.

Oh yes, friend. Psalm 23 and verse

number four. Yay. Though I walk through

the valley of the shadow of death, I

will fear no evil, for thou art with me.

>> He knows THE WAY THAT I TAKE. Job said,

>> hallelujah. Bless his name. HE'S GOT A

PLAN. HE HAS A PURPOSE. HE HAS A

STRATEGY. HEY, HE'S THE PLACE WE STAND

ON. He's the building we can stand in.

But he also GIVES US THE ORDER TO FIGHT.

THE WEAPONS OF OUR WARFARE ARE NOT

CARNAL, BUT THEY'RE MIGHTY. THROUGH WHO?

GOD. TO THE PULLING DOWN OF STRONGHOLDS.

I'M SAYING HE IS THE STRATEGY for our

fight.

>> Right.

>> He's my rock, my fortress, my deliverer.

He's my God.

>> Amen.

>> He's my savior. He's my strength.

Notice there in the text, he says, "In

whom I will trust, my buckler." That

buckler there, it literally means a

shield. He's my safety.

>> Amen.

>> Come on.

>> Can't always be in the fortress.

>> Right.

>> Sadly, we're not always on the rock.

>> But I'm thankful that no, no matter

where we may find oursel, we have that

shield.

>> You're right.

>> Amen. Thank you.

>> With us at all times. What is that

shield? He said it's the shield of

faith. Ain't that right?

>> Ephesians says we take it with us

wherever that we go. He is our buckler.

He gives us safety. And then there is

the horn. The horn of salvation. That

horn speaks of strength. The strength of

his salvation. He is deliverance

embodied. And then he says he's my high

tower. He What does that mean? Well, it

means situation. He's put me in a high

place.

What did he say over there in the text?

He maketh my feet like hind's feet.

>> Gets up on them crest of the rock. Amen.

Where it's so high you can't breathe

good.

>> Amen.

>> Where it's so high the enemy can't get

to you.

>> Where it's so high that a weapon is not

going to reach you.

>> Amen.

>> Amen. He puts me in a safe place. He is

my high tower. You say, "Preacher, what

is that?" That's the excellency of his

Lord.

>> Amen.

>> You say, "What does that all that mean?"

He's everything you need. Amen.

>> Amen. He is everything that you need.

Amen. WHATEVER YOU'RE LACKING THIS

MORNING, GOD HAS WHATEVER YOU STAND IN

need of. And boy, I don't know about

you, but I'm thankful every day of my

life, I realize each morning that I get

up that I stand in desperate NEED OF HIS

HELP BECAUSE I CAN'T EVEN WALK WITHOUT

HIM HOLDING MY HAND. I HAVE NO ABILITY.

I HAVE NO OPPORTUNITY. I HAVE NOTHING

WITHOUT HIM. AMEN.

And David said, "He is my rock."

Think about this. David says, "I will."

Three times in these verses. He says, "I

will love thee." In verse one. In verse

two, he says, "In whom I will trust."

And in verse three, he says, "I will

call upon the Lord." You say, "Preacher,

how is that?" David could say, "I will."

Because of who he knew the Lord is.

>> You're right.

>> Look what he says again. He says, "I

will love thee, oh Lord, my strength."

Verse two, what's in them first three

words?

The Lord is

>> Amen.

>> You know why you and I in our life, we

can make choices,

>> come on,

>> that the world says is crazy. The reason

why we can operate in the realm of faith

and live the way God has called us to is

not because we just want to, but just

because of who he is. You're

>> right.

>> David says, "What you've done is good

enough." He said, "But I'm not even

trusting in that. I'm trusting in who

you are.

>> Amen.

>> Amen. I I'm I'm trusting here. It's

David said, "I'm not even trusting in

what you said, but I'm just trusting who

you are."

>> Amen.

>> He's too good to be unwise.

>> Right.

>> Anybody in the house? Amen.

>> God is too holy

>> to leave us to ourselves.

>> GOD IS TOO kind to leave us alone and

forget ABOUT US. I'M SAYING DAVID SAID,

"BECAUSE HE IS, I WILL."

>> AMEN.

>> I WILL LOVE THEE. I WILL TRUST THEE. I

WILL CALL UPON THEE.

>> RIGHT.

>> The expression of his love, the

excellency of his Lord, the expectancy

of his Lord in whom I will trust. Why

could he trust him? Because he'd been

faithful before.

>> Amen.

>> Y'all not hooking up with this this

morning. Amen.

>> He'd been faithful before.

>> He was faithful presently.

>> You're right. Amen. David said, "All

this victory,

>> all these giants, Goliath and all four

of his brothers, all them men,

>> yeah,

>> all of these armies, all of these

battles," David said maybe something

like this, "Through many dangers, toils,

and snares,

>> I have already come."

>> Amen.

>> Grace hath brought me saved thus far,

>> and grace will lead me home. Amen.

>> What I'm saying is as David said, he's

been faithful thus far, but even more,

what he's done, who he is. HE SAYS HE'S

FAITHFUL.

>> AMEN.

>> HE ALONE IS FAITHFUL AND TRUE. AND WHAT

HE'S PROMISED ME IS GREATER THAN I CAN

UNDERSTAND. HE PROMISED ME a kingdom. He

promised ME A SEED. HE PROMISED ME A

SON. HE PROMISED ME A THRONE THAT WOULD

ENDURE FOREVER and ever and ever. AND

DAVID SAYS, "I'LL TRUST HIM because of

that.

the expectancy.

He's been my fortress, my deliverer, and

my strength. He said, "But he will be my

buckler."

>> He will be the horn of my salvation, and

he will be my high tower.

>> Yes.

>> Then notice this, like I said, simple

thought this morning. I'll be done.

Notice not only the expression, the

expectancy, but notice the exclamation

in verse number three.

David said, 'I will call upon the Lord.

He said, 'I will call upon the Lord who

is worthy to be praised.

>> Amen.

>> What is David saying? David here in this

text is leading off with this thought.

He says, look, what's brought me this

far has been my conversation with him.

>> Amen.

>> In the witness of this truth, David is

giving his witness here. He says, I will

call upon the Lord. What does that speak

of? It speaks of his faith. You're

>> right.

I believe.

You know the reason why you don't talk

to God is because you don't believe.

>> It speaks of his faith. It speaks of

fellowship.

>> I'll call upon the Lord. It's God his

father. He wanted HE WANTED FELLOWSHIP

WITH THE MASTER.

>> AMEN.

>> The exclamation

is that HE WOULD CALL UPON GOD. WHY?

BECAUSE he is worthy.

>> Amen.

>> That's right.

Yes, he is. Amen.

>> David says, "Look, I'm not calling upon

him because I need victory this time."

>> Come on.

>> He's already given me the victory.

>> Thank you, Lord.

>> I'm not calling upon him because I need

help this time. He's already helped me.

>> I'M NOT CALLING UPON HIM JUST BECAUSE I

WANT something from him. He's already

GIVEN ME EVERYTHING I WANT MORE. IS

ANYBODY IN THE BUILDING THIS MORNING?

DAVID SAID, "I WILL CALL UPON THE LORD."

WHY? BECAUSE HE IS WORTHY TO BE PRAISED.

HIS SONG WASN'T A SONG OF SAD STORIES.

HIS SONG WAS SAYING, "GOD, YOU'VE DONE

ALL I EVER ASKED AND MORE. YOU'VE BEEN

ALL I'VE EVER WANTED AND MORE. GOD, I

JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU. YOU'RE

BECAUSE HE'S WORTHY." THERE'S A REASON

WHY THE ANGELS NON-STOP IN HEAVEN NEVER

CEASE TO SAY, "WORTHY, WORTHY, WORTHY,

WORTHY IS THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN.

HALLELUJAH. ONE OF THESE DAYS WE'LL BOW

AT HIS FEET AND FOR ETERNITY OF ALL

ETERNITIES, WE'LL STAND THERE AND WE'LL

SHOUT, "THANK YOU, JESUS, FOR SAVING MY

SOUL. YOU'RE WORTHY." AMEN.

>> David said, "You've done everything I

want. I JUST WANT TO CALL AND tell you,

you're worthy. You're worthy to be

praised. I bless your name.

I will bless his name.

>> Look what he says.

I will call upon the Lord who is worthy

to be praised. Look what he says. So

shall I be saved from my enemies. Amen.

>> Thank you.

>> David says it's not a request for

deliverance

that's going to save me from my enemy.

>> But he said it's just a revelation of

his deity. It's going to save me.

>> Amen.

>> When you praise his name,

all hell trembles.

>> You're right.

>> When you exalt Jesus and lift him high

and just say, "Lord, I love you."

>> Yeah.

Amen.

>> God says, "Here it is, child."

>> Amen.

>> Yeah. Come on.

>> What is it the psalmist said, "Blessed

be God who daily loadeth us

>> with benefits."

You know why that psalmist was daily

loaded with benefits? Because he daily.

>> Yeah. Come on.

>> Daniel said, "Evening, at noon, morning,

noon, and at night, I'll call unto God."

>> Amen. David said, "Morning, e morning,

noon, and night, I'll call unto God."

And daily,

just as the mana fell in the wilderness

to supply their need, the blessing would

fall.

>> Amen.

>> You say, "Preacher, this is awfully

simple this morning." Yeah, it is. And

you still ain't getting it.

>> The blessing salvation here. See, here's

the thing about this. What I love about

salvation by grace through faith.

You didn't do nothing to earn it. Yeah.

>> You can't do nothing to keep it.

>> That's right.

>> And you can't do nothing to lose it.

>> Amen.

>> And salvation. Here's what this comes

down to. You say, "Preacher, what is

it?" When you come to God

in your heart and in submission,

realizing that you're a sinner and he's

a savior. He's the savior. And you look

to him and all you can say is, "Lord, I

know that I've got to have what you got

to give."

>> Amen.

>> You know what you'll do? You'll

immediately start to praise him. Amen.

>> And as you praise him, God is working

behind the scenes doing everything you

can't do yourself.

>> The Bible says that heath be that he

which hath begun a good work in you

shall perform it under the day of Jesus

Christ.

>> Yeah.

>> And David in this text, his exclamation

here of his liberation is this. He says,

"God's works I'll be delivered when I

just praise him."

>> Amen.

>> You say, "Preacher, my problem's too big

to get deliverance that way."

Let me tell you, if you'll just stop

where you're at.

>> That's right.

>> Yeah.

>> And just look up to heaven and say,

"Lord, I'm going to set it all aside."

>> That's right.

>> Cuz Lord, whether you fix it or not,

whether you take care of it or not,

whether I ever see another victory,

Lord, you're worthy of praise. And I

want to bless your holy name

>> because you're worthy to be exalted and

glorified. You died on Calvary for my

sins to take care of me and save me. And

Lord, that was more than enough.

>> Right?

>> But Lord, I just want to give you praise

for who you are. And you know what

you'll find if you do that?

>> You'll find those problems that seem so

big.

>> That's right.

>> Just start to come down to size. You're

right.

>> You say, "Preacher, what are you

saying?"

David said, "I will love thee."

>> Amen.

>> But my admonition to you is this.

David, long before he ever fought a

battle, hear what I'm saying. David,

long before he ever fought a battle as

the king, when he was out there in the

sheep coat watching after sheep,

>> Yes. His heart was saying,"Lord,

>> Amen.

>> I will love thee."

>> Amen.

>> You know why David was able to say it

this day? Because he'd been saying it

before.

>> You're right.

>> Here's what you need to do today.

You need to make up your mind right now,

regardless of the circumstances.

Say, "Lord, I'm going to bless your

name. I'm going to love you."

>> The world's going to see my love for

you.

>> Amen.

>> You say, "Preacher, I just can't right

now." Well, you'll never do it.

>> Right.

>> If you start now,

down there when the trial gets so hot.

>> Say, "Preacher, it can't get worse. You

better You better buckle up."

>> You're right.

>> Look, I don't I don't I'm not to bear

bad news this morning. I'm telling you,

this life ain't a bed of roses.

>> You're right.

>> And if it's bad, it can get worse.

>> But let me tell you, there's one that

does not change.

>> Right. Amen.

>> And David said, "I will love thee."

>> You know what? Every one of us in here

are very far behind.

>> Amen.

>> As she begins to play this morning and

we all stand, head bows and eyes closed,

I want to ask you, do you love him?

Are you saved? Do you know him this

morning? Let me ask you this, child of

God. Will you love him? Will you let the

world see

Your words, your works, and your witness

are going to declare

whether or not you really love him.

I will love thee.

Oh Lord, my strength.

John said it in 1 John chapter 4 verse

1 John 4 · chapter mention

number 19. And he said, "We love him

because he first loved us."

And let me tell you today, he loves you.

You say, "Preacher, I love the Lord."

Let me ask you, when's the last time you

talked to him?

When's the last time you sat at his feet

and said, "Lord, I don't need anything.

Don't want anything. I just want to come

tell you I love you."

You know what happened in your life if

you said that to him this morning? The

whales of glory would spring up in you.

A smile would come over your face like

you ain't never seen.

You say, "Preacher, you can't promise

that." No, I can.

If you'll just come to him, say, "Lord,

I don't need anything. Lord, I don't

want anything. I just want to say I love

you. I just want to say thank you.

You've brought me safe thus far.

And Lord, I know the only thing that's

brought victory in my life is when I

just decided to stop and praise your

name.

not for taking care OF THE PROBLEM, BUT

LORD, JUST PRAISE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE

AND JUST IN MY HEART TRUST YOU KNOW him

that you're aware of the problem AND

THAT YOU'LL DEAL WITH IT IN YOUR TIME.

HEY CHILD OF GOD, DON'T BE AFRAID OF THE

FACT GOD IS AWARE. HE KNOWS WHERE YOU'RE

AT.

>> HE KNOWS WHAT YOU NEED. YOU ARE NOT

ALONE this morning.

You got to make the decision though to

love him.

He loves you.

Let me ask you this this morning.

You say, "Preacher, I'm here today and I

don't know Jesus.

I don't know Jesus." Preacher, I never

been saved.

Hey, you can know him today.

You'll never know a love on this side

sweeter than his love.

Oh, friend, I'm telling you, the longer

it goes, the sweeter it gets,

the more real it becomes.

It's just all you need. You just get to

a point in life and you just say, "Lord,

I I don't need nothing else. I don't

want NOTHING ELSE, LORD. I JUST WANT

YOU.

Hey sinner, you need to be saved today.

These altars are open. You can come.

Father, thank you for this good day.

Lord, I will love thee.

I'll worship you.

I'll bless your holy name.

You alone are worthy of all praise.

God, I don't deserve the least of your

mercies,

but God, you've been so good.

And Lord, I'll love you today.

I'll love you with my words. I'll love

you with my works, and I'll love you

with my witness. God,

I'll be what you've called me to be. And

I pray for every heart in here, they

would make that resolve today to love

you.

You've been faithful before. You'll be

faithful again. But Lord, I'm just

thankful that who you are today.

God is who you've always been and who

you always will be. That you never

change.

Help us to trust you today. I pray. Save

that one nearest tail.

And I pray that all of us who are saved

draw closer to you today. And we love

you, Lord. We ask you to help us now in

Jesus name. Amen. A
