  6. with your friends. Now, let's join

  7. Pastor Charlie Branch with a word from

  8. God.

  9. >> Amen. I'm thankful he touched me. Amen.

  10. If you have a Bible, turn with me to the

  11. book of Jude tonight. Book of Jude.

  12. And u

  13. so thankful God's blessed our church

  14. with talent and u I appreciate the Lord

  15. being so good to us.

  16. >> And I tell you church, don't ever take

  17. it for granted what you've got here.

  18. >> And it can be gone in just a minute.

  19. And uh circumstances of life arise,

  20. death comes sometimes unexpectedly. And

  21. before you know it, all that talent can

  22. be gone. Amen.

  23. >> And you just make sure you say,

  24. "Preacher, well, it ain't about that."

  25. Well, I agree with you. It's not about

  26. that. But I tell you this, what we do

  27. for the Lord, it ought to be excellent.

  28. >> Amen.

  29. >> And you ought to play skillfully. And I

  30. appreciate our musicians. I appreciate

  31. our choir. I appreciate uh brother Galen

  32. and uh all everybody that has a part in

  33. the music here at the church and I thank

  34. you for it and I thank you for allowing

  35. me to lead in that and I appreciate it

  36. very very much. Jude, I want to look

  37. tonight here of just a few verses and

  38. continue our study here. And I wanted to

  39. just continue this on Wednesday night,

  40. but I couldn't get away from it this

  41. afternoon. And u I I felt like this past

  42. Wednesday night was very beneficial

  43. study and I want to continue with that

  44. and try to be a blessing if I may. I

  45. tell you this, I know it's not worth

  46. anything if it just comes from me, but I

  47. want it to be from him. And so I feel

  48. like this is where he led me tonight. If

  49. you find your place, the book of Jude

  50. will stand on reference to the reading

  51. of God's word. And uh we'll read this

  52. chapter here tonight. And uh

  53. I love this text. I I think when you

  54. study this, if you know anything about

  55. your Bible very much, the passage second

  56. Peter verse chapter number two mirrors

  57. this text a whole lot. There's a lot of

  58. things that are said um there kind of

  59. running along the same vein and it's no

  60. coincidence that this is the text

  61. nearing the book of Revelation of course

  62. describing the end time and I really

  63. believe this is where we're living at

  64. and I think it's something we ought to

  65. be well aware of. Amen. And uh

  66. considering that subject, I know it's

  67. not something we like to talk about. Um

  68. but I think it's something we need to

  69. talk be talking about more. And the

  70. identification of apostasy uh around us

  71. and even within us if we're not careful

  72. that spirit of antichrist will even work

  73. on us. And I'm thankful he can't have

  74. control over us. I'm thankful he can't

  75. possess us. Amen. If you're saved by the

  76. holy saved by the grace of God, filled

  77. with the Holy Spirit, you cannot be

  78. possessed. Um, but I do believe you can

  79. be oppressed. And so, we want to

  80. identify that and also be able to

  81. identify uh the words coming from others

  82. around us that are in this spirit. And

  83. so, I want to look tonight. Let's let's

  84. begin reading verse number four again of

  85. Jude. And uh we'll look there verse

  86. number four. The Bible says, "For there

  87. are certain men crept in unwares, who

  88. were before of old ordained to this

  89. condemnation, ungodly men, turning the

  90. grace of our God into lasciviousness,

  91. and denying the only Lord God and our

  92. Lord Jesus Christ. And I will therefore

  93. put you in remembrance, though you once

  94. knew this, how that the Lord, having

  95. saved the people out of the land of

  96. Egypt, afterward destroyed them that

  97. believe not. The angels which kept not

  98. their first estate, but left their own

  99. habitation, he hath reserved an

  100. everlasting chains under darkness under

  101. the judgment of the great day. Even as

  102. Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about

  103. them in like manner, giving themselves

  104. over to fornication, and going after

  105. strange flesh, are set forth for an

  106. example, suffering the vengeance of

  107. eternal fire. Likewise also, these

  108. filthy dreamers defile the flesh,

  109. despise dominion, and speak evil evil of

  110. dignities. Yet Michael the archangel in

  111. contending with the devil, he disputed

  112. about the body of Moses. Durst not,

  113. bring against him a reing accusation,

  114. but said, "The Lord rebuke thee." But

  115. these speak evil of those things which

  116. they know not. But what they know

  117. naturally as brute beast, and those

  118. things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto

  119. them, for they have gone in the way of

  120. Cain, and ran greedily after the heir of

  121. Balum for reward, and perished in the

  122. gains of core. These are spots in your

  123. feast of charity. When they feast with

  124. you, feeding themselves without fear,

  125. clouds they are without water, carried

  126. about of winds. Trees whose fruit

  127. witherth, without fruit, twice dead,

  128. plucked up by the roots, raging ways of

  129. the sea, foaming out their own shame,

  130. wandering stars, to whom is reserved the

  131. blackness of darkness forever. And Enoch

  132. also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied

  133. of these, saying, "Behold, the Lord

  134. cometh with 10,000 of his saints, to

  135. execute judgment upon all, and to

  136. convince all that are ungodly among

  137. them, of all their ungodly deeds which

  138. they have ungodly committed, and of all

  139. their hard speeches which ungodly

  140. sinners have spoken against him." Now,

  141. we're not going to get that far in the

  142. text tonight, and I wanted to read that

  143. just so it can be fresh in your mind.

  144. And I want you to stay up with me uh on

  145. this text. If you would please keep your

  146. Bible handy. We're going to be using

  147. them tonight. And I want to preach on

  148. the thought tonight, the truth about

  149. apostasy, part number three. And we pray

  150. that the Lord will help us and add a

  151. blessing to the reading of his word.

  152. Father, thank you for this time tonight.

  153. Thank you, Lord, for your truth. And

  154. God, I pray tonight, Lord, that you

  155. would help us uh God, to endure sound

  156. doctrine tonight. I pray that you'll

  157. give us wisdom, discernment as we

  158. navigate these portions of scripture. Uh

  159. Lord, many of these things, some of

  160. these folks may have never heard of. And

  161. so God, I pray uh Lord, that you would

  162. open our ears and our hearts to your

  163. word tonight. And God, I pray you give

  164. us wisdom and discernment to divide the

  165. truth rightly. And God, I thank you for

  166. what you do. Get glory to yourself. Save

  167. the sinner nearest hell. Reclaim the

  168. backslid. And for what you do, we'll

  169. give you thanks because we ask it in

  170. Jesus name. And God's children said you

  171. can be seated. Thank you for standing

  172. tonight. Tonight, last week we left off

  173. in verse number nine. And I made just a

  174. few brief statements concerning verse

  175. number nine. But I want to look verses

  176. 9, 10, and 11 tonight with the help of

  177. the Lord. And that's going to require me

  178. to cover a lot of ground. And so I need

  179. you to stay with me tonight. I need you

  180. to pray for me that the Lord will help

  181. us. And so tonight when we come to this

  182. text, of course, we left off last time

  183. there considering uh Michael the

  184. Archangel. We made mention of this uh

  185. just just briefly talking about the fact

  186. that he did not even uh bring a

  187. accusation against the devil. We talked

  188. about the hierarchies of the world. We

  189. talked about the disrespect of those

  190. that despise dominion according to verse

  191. number eight. Uh they reject authority

  192. and they speak evil of those uh that are

  193. legitimate authentic authority. And we

  194. described their devotions. We described

  195. uh their destruction as well. But

  196. tonight when we consider verse number

  197. nine, it's going to go further uh in

  198. this thought here. Not the examples but

  199. uh the employment of apostasy. And and

  200. the Bible says, "Yet Michael the

  201. archangel." Now tonight, Michael the

  202. archangel comes on the pages of

  203. scripture in the book of Daniel. He is

  204. mentioned there in Daniel chapter number

  205. 10 and verse number 13. We know Daniel

  206. there was praying and he become weak in

  207. the battle because of the weight of the

  208. prophecies. The Bible says that Michael

  209. came and strengthened Daniel because of

  210. the great mental oppression that he was

  211. facing. And he is labeled as the

  212. archangel here in the text. And that

  213. simply means that word ark there means

  214. the chief. And so Michael is the chief

  215. angel. He is the number one angel there

  216. in God's army. He's mentioned again in

  217. the book of Revelation 12 and verse

  218. number 7 where he is accompanying a

  219. group of angels to go and take out the

  220. dragon of course which is the devil

  221. himself. And we see so we see here by

  222. way of introduction Michael here is

  223. mentioned alongside of the devil. Notice

  224. what the Bible says there in verse

  225. number nine. It says when contending

  226. with the devil he disputed about the

  227. body of Moses. And so Michael here, this

  228. chief angel in charge of God's

  229. rulership. When you think about Michael,

  230. he is a mediator. He is a a man really

  231. angel. We would say that he is the one

  232. that's going to be the one there in the

  233. book of Thessalonians that's going to

  234. sound the trumpet. There's the the

  235. trumpet will sound. The voice of the

  236. archangel, the Bible says. And so

  237. that'll be Michael's voice that they'll

  238. hear from heaven at the rapture. And so

  239. he is the one that really gets handsy

  240. with the devil in the book of

  241. Revelation. He's the archangel that I

  242. believe according to the book of

  243. Revelation chapter 20. He's going to

    Revelation 20 chapter mention

  244. deal with the devil that very last time.

  245. I'm saying this man's a bad dude. Okay?

  246. >> He's serious. All right? He's the

  247. highest in God's angelic authority. And

  248. the Bible says that him and the devil

  249. disputed with the body of Moses. Now, we

  250. mentioned that Lucifer last time he was

  251. given authority. He was that cherub that

  252. covered there according to Ezekiel

  253. chapter number 28 and:es 12-1 17. And so

  254. they're having a dispute here and we

  255. notice that Michael's dispute is about

  256. Moses death. Notice that in verse number

  257. nine they disputed about the body of

  258. Moses. Now there's argument about why

  259. they were disputing over the body of

  260. Moses. But what you'll discover about

  261. Moses body is is that Moses did not have

  262. a man burial.

  263. Moses was taken by God and buried in a

  264. place where nobody would know where he

  265. was. Deuteronomy chapter 34 tells us

    Deuteronomy 34 chapter mention

  266. about Moses burial. God took him away

  267. and buried him. And you'd say, "Well,

  268. what's the reason for that?" Well, I

  269. personally believe that if Moses had

  270. been buried by a man, they would have

  271. made a shrine on his grave and the

  272. Israelites would have worshiped him and

  273. they would have raised up a shrine unto

  274. him to worship him for the rest of their

  275. days. What they done is they'd made a

  276. god out of it.

  277. >> Right?

  278. >> And so Moses was buried. And so the

  279. Bible never mentions this dispute

  280. anywhere else but this text. But the

  281. illustration is nonetheless the same.

  282. Michael and the devil are disputing

  283. about Moses death. But you notice in

  284. verse number nine in this story, there

  285. is a moral that's declared. All right?

  286. And I need you to stay with me. I'm

  287. going to give you a lot more scripture

  288. stuff tonight. Okay? I want you to hang

  289. with me. It's got an application. All

  290. right? Listen to what he says in verse

  291. nine. He durst not bring against him a

  292. railing accusation, but said the Lord

  293. rebuke thee. And you say, preacher, what

  294. does that mean? Well, when you think

  295. tonight about the authority that Michael

  296. has as the angel, the fact that in the

  297. future, he's going to be the one to

  298. banish the devil perpetually into that

  299. that lake which burnth with fire and

  300. brimstone. He's going to be the one that

  301. gets rid of him. And all the authority

  302. that Michael has, even he himself, in

  303. spite of the fact that Lucifer had great

  304. authority in heaven, God had placed him

  305. at the highest of the highs in his

  306. angelic authority. Michael still did not

  307. bring an accusation against him. You

  308. said, "What do you mean by that?" Well,

  309. it says he didn't bring a railing

  310. accusation. What does that mean? It

  311. means that he didn't come to him

  312. injuriously

  313. and say, "Oh, Lucifer, you fake. You

  314. phony. You stepped out on your

  315. authority." No. Michael respected it.

  316. You know what we're lacking this day and

  317. time?

  318. >> That right there.

  319. >> Amen.

  320. >> You know, I hear so much amongst the

  321. ranks of church people in this day and

  322. time. I'm thankful it's not here. Amen.

  323. But I hear people talking men down

  324. constantly. Constantly. and and it's

  325. over and over and over again. And

  326. Michael, he wasn't even bringing

  327. accusation against the devil. And I I've

  328. heard people say this, "Well, when I get

  329. to heaven, God's going to let me punch

  330. old Satan in the face." I just don't

  331. know about all that. All right?

  332. >> God's going to deal with him. Okay?

  333. >> And it's not our it's not our place

  334. tonight to bring about judgment. The

  335. Bible says, "Judge not, lest you be

  336. judged." Amen. What judgment you meet,

  337. you're going to be measured with all.

  338. Amen. What that simply means is is when

  339. you cast the judgment out there, you

  340. just be sure that it's going to come

  341. back and probably double. Amen.

  342. >> Amen.

  343. >> I know tonight the Bible teaches us that

  344. we're to be judges of all things as

  345. Christians, but the application's

  346. different. You need to know your Bible.

  347. Amen. Michael didn't even bring an

  348. accusation against the devil. Notice

  349. that he said, "The Lord rebuked thee."

  350. You see here as well in this text,

  351. there's a reference here in my Bible to

  352. that phrase, "The Lord rebuked thee."

  353. Jesus there in Zechariah chapter 3 and

    Zechariah 3 chapter mention

  354. verse number two or God the father there

  355. in the text uh Joshua was standing

  356. before the Lord the Bible says and the

  357. devil spoke against him and the Lord

  358. spoke and he rebuked the devil there in

  359. that text you see God's the one that

  360. vengeance belongs to

  361. >> right

  362. >> he's the one that judgment belongs to

  363. he's the one that rebuke belongs to and

  364. so the moral declared is this that if

  365. Michael wouldn't bring an accusation

  366. against the devil

  367. look what these men do according to

  368. verse number 10. But these speak evil of

  369. those things which they know not, but

  370. that which that what they but what they

  371. know naturally as brute beast and those

  372. things they corrupt themselves. And so

  373. in verse number nine, there is the

  374. example of Michael, this great angel

  375. that he wouldn't accuse the devil of

  376. things he was even guilty of. In verse

  377. 10, these apostates, they speak evil of

  378. things that they don't even know about.

  379. >> Right?

  380. >> What does that mean? And well, you see

  381. their language in verse 10, it says they

  382. speak evil. Apostates always got a

  383. really wide-lipped lifestyle.

  384. >> Amen. Likes to talk.

  385. >> Likes to tell his opinions and his ideas

  386. about things. I know this is Sunday

  387. night and this is just rubbing you a

  388. little bit wrong, but stay with me,

  389. okay?

  390. They like to talk about things that they

  391. know nothing about. And you say, "What

  392. is that, preacher?" Well, number one,

  393. salvation by grace through faith.

  394. >> Amen. These men don't know about

  395. salvation, but they always want to talk

  396. theologically about salvation. Well, you

  397. believe in that once-s saved, always

  398. saved stuff.

  399. And I believe when Jesus comes in your

  400. heart, he died once and he rose once.

  401. And so when he comes in, he comes in to

  402. stay.

  403. >> Amen. He's either there or he's not.

  404. Somebody say, "Amen." and all the other

  405. theological discussions that they will

  406. come into. They will split hairs over

  407. just about anything in that Bible.

  408. They'll argue with you about who wrote

  409. the first five books of the Bible.

  410. They'll argue with you about who the

  411. angels or who the sons of God are in

  412. Genesis 6. They'll argue with you about

  413. all the most USELESS INFORMATION WHEN

  414. GOD didn't tell us. Amen. THERE'S A

  415. REASON WHY HE DIDN'T TELL US. AND LET ME

  416. SAY THIS TONIGHT. WHERE THE BIBLE STAYS

  417. SILENT, you know what we should do?

  418. Stay silent. Amen. When somebody wants

  419. to come and talk to you about the

  420. Apocrypha. All right. Now, the Apocrypha

  421. is that little book that's in the middle

  422. of the Bible that they talk about, those

  423. books that are in between Malachi and

  424. Matthew. When somebody wants to ask you

  425. about that and try to reason with you

  426. theologically about that, you just

  427. dismiss them. Okay?

  428. >> Right?

  429. >> God preserves 66 books

  430. >> in our King James Bible that are for us

  431. tonight.

  432. And when people want to argue about

  433. things that have no that do not make a

  434. hill of beans to salvation or if they

  435. want to try to undermine the doctrines

  436. that we believe salvation by grace that

  437. without the shedding of blood there's no

  438. remission. Hey, there's men in this day

  439. and time that preach that it did the

  440. blood is not necessary for salvation.

  441. What I'm saying is is these are

  442. apostates.

  443. They're always talking. You look at

  444. their lifestyle and they're constantly

  445. in these chat rooms. They're constantly

  446. on the internet making theological

  447. discussions. They're constantly pushing

  448. their agenda on people, trying to draw

  449. people under them. And it's all talk.

  450. >> And when you look at their ministry, it

  451. has nothing to do with the word of God.

  452. Their language is blasphemous. Look what

  453. he says in verse 10. But these speak

  454. evil. That means that they're trying to

  455. undermine. And that word evil means they

  456. have an ulterior motive.

  457. They'll tell you something that might be

  458. truth, but in their heart they've got

  459. another agenda in mind.

  460. >> They will manipulate you and they are

  461. blaspheing. Blaspheming the Holy Ghost

  462. of God when they go against the word of

  463. God and its precepts. He said they speak

  464. evil of those things which they know

  465. not. What do they not know about? Well,

  466. they don't know about salvation. They

  467. don't know about the scriptures. They

  468. don't know about the spirit of God. that

  469. this is what they want to talk to you

  470. about,

  471. >> right?

  472. >> They want to deal with you on your

  473. feelings.

  474. What does it feel like to you? See, I I

  475. felt this way. I I felt led this way.

  476. But they never want to talk to you about

  477. scripture. Young people, be aware of

  478. this. All right?

  479. >> And the thing about it is in this day of

  480. technology that we have, young people

  481. are getting involved in this more and

  482. more. You're

  483. >> right.

  484. >> People down at the schoolhouse want to

  485. get into theological discussions because

  486. they've been internet trained.

  487. >> You're right. You say, "Preacher, that

  488. ain't no way that's true. It was there

  489. when I was in school."

  490. >> That ain't been that long ago. But what

  491. the proof I'm trying to make here is

  492. this is people are getting this stuff

  493. more than they ever have.

  494. >> And that's why you need to know your

  495. Bible, their language. They speak evil

  496. of those things which they know not.

  497. When somebody's always casting doubt on

  498. Mary being a virgin,

  499. >> come on. When somebody's always casting

  500. doubt on Jesus being the sinless son of

  501. God, when they're casting doubt on the

  502. fact that he could not sin, it was

  503. impossible for him to sin. When they do

  504. that, you just know

  505. >> they don't believe like you do. Amen.

  506. >> They speak evil of those things which

  507. they know not. Notice not only their

  508. language, but notice their lack. They

  509. don't know. Verse number 10, verse

  510. number notice the next phrase. But what

  511. they know naturally,

  512. you see, their lack is is they don't

  513. have a spiritual knowledge. What does

  514. the Bible say? It says, "For the carnal

  515. man receiveth not the things of God,

  516. neither can he know them because they're

  517. spiritually discerned." Let's turn and

  518. look at that. 1 Corinthians chapter 2,

    1 Corinthians 2:14

  519. verse 14.

  520. 1 Corinthians chapter 2:14. But the

  521. natural man receiveth not the things of

  522. the spirit of God. For they are

  523. foolishness unto him. Neither can he

  524. know them because they are spiritually

  525. discerned. They're lack the Holy Ghost

  526. don't live on the inside. Right?

  527. >> They have no spiritual insight.

  528. >> They have no ability to discern right

  529. from wrong. They their senses have been

  530. haven't been exercised because they have

  531. no senses to exercise

  532. >> their language, their lack. 1

    1 Corinthians 2:14

  533. Corinthians 2:14, 2 Corinthians 4:4, put

    2 Corinthians 4:4

  534. it in your margin. You notice not only

  535. their lack, but notice their lust in

  536. verse 10. But what they know naturally

  537. as brute beast in those things they

  538. corrupt themselves. Now, what does this

  539. tell us? Well, the Bible says there that

  540. they speak evil of the things that they

  541. don't know about. They want to dispute

  542. about everything that we're sure of. But

  543. what they know naturally, that's their

  544. carnal life, their their their fleshly

  545. life. Look what the Bible says. as brute

  546. beast in those things they corrupt

  547. themselves. These men are full of lust,

  548. >> right?

  549. >> And you see, they're so vocal and open

  550. about their spirituality.

  551. They're always casting doubt on what we

  552. believe and why we believe and trying to

  553. undermine the faith that was once

  554. delivered. But if you got into their

  555. personal life, what you would find is

  556. men and women who are laden with sin,

  557. >> right?

  558. They are controlled by their lust.

  559. Whether it be the dollar, whether it be

  560. fornication, whatever it is, most of

  561. them it's alcoholism. Amen.

  562. >> What I'm saying is is THEY ARE

  563. CONTROLLED BY their lust. And the Bible

  564. says in verse number 10 that they

  565. corrupt themselves. That that word

  566. corrupt literally means they are

  567. bringing themselves to destruction.

  568. They are destroying their life

  569. physically.

  570. Be careful about a man who will preach a

  571. gospel and then go out in the world and

  572. live and act just like the world.

  573. >> Right?

  574. >> He might have a message, but that does

  575. not make him a man of God.

  576. >> JUST BECAUSE SOMEBODY HAS something to

  577. say does not mean they're sent from God.

  578. >> Right?

  579. >> Their lust, they're headed for

  580. destruction. And what is it that's

  581. destroying them? Verse 10, as brute

  582. beasts in those things, they corrupt

  583. themselves. They are literally

  584. overindulgent.

  585. And it is their overindulgence that's

  586. going to kill them.

  587. >> Right?

  588. >> It is that that's going to take the life

  589. out of them because they have given

  590. themselves over to the flesh. They're

  591. headed for destruction. In those things,

  592. they corrupt themselves. Listen to what

  593. Paul said in the book of Romans chapter

    Romans 1 chapter mention

  594. 1. Paul dealt with this crowd talking

  595. about the Lord turning them over. Listen

  596. to what he says. Romans chapter number

  597. one verse number 26. For this cause God

  598. gave them up unto vile affections. For

  599. even their women did change the natural

  600. use into that which is against nature.

  601. So he's given them over to a reprobate

  602. mind. Verse 28. Even as they did not

  603. like to retain God in their knowledge.

  604. God gave them over to a reprobate mind

  605. to do those things which are not

  606. convenient. But you say preacher, what

  607. does that have to do with an apostate

  608. teacher? Well, listen to what he said in

  609. verse number 21. Because that when they

  610. knew God, they glorified him not as God,

  611. neither were thankful, but became vain

  612. in their imaginations, and their foolish

  613. heart was darkened. What does verse 22

  614. say? Professing themselves to be wise,

  615. >> they became fools.

  616. >> I'll tell you this, the Christianity

  617. that America's embraced is full of

  618. professors,

  619. >> right?

  620. >> It's full of teachers.

  621. >> But Paul said this to the Corinthian

  622. church. He said, "You've got many

  623. teachers." He said, "But you have not

  624. many fathers."

  625. >> Amen.

  626. >> Men that actually care.

  627. You see, those men don't care about your

  628. soul.

  629. >> Right?

  630. >> You say, "Preacher, what's an example of

  631. that?" Well, there's millions in this

  632. country that's flocking to them. But the

  633. word faith crowd, the the prosperity

  634. gospel crowd that says, "If you'll

  635. believe Jesus and you'll be obedient to

  636. him and send me your money, God will

  637. bless you."

  638. >> Right?

  639. >> While they fly around in their $10

  640. million pl private jets, amen, and live

  641. in their luscious mansions.

  642. off the money that they've robbed off of

  643. poor little people that they've sent a

  644. five cent cloth for $10 called a prayer

  645. shaw.

  646. >> What I'm saying is those people are

  647. apostates. You're

  648. >> right.

  649. >> Their life is ridden with lust.

  650. And Jo and Jude says here in the text,

  651. he says they are na they what they know

  652. naturally is brute beast. Those things

  653. they corrupt themselves. It literally

  654. means that they cannot stop indulging.

  655. Somebody that cannot control his fleshly

  656. appetite's got a problem. You're

  657. >> right.

  658. >> I'm not talking about eating. I'm

  659. talking about everything.

  660. >> Right.

  661. >> If you cannot control your appetite in

  662. the flesh, you will be in a mess.

  663. >> You're right.

  664. >> Notice this tonight. Like I said, I know

  665. this is not not fun preaching, teaching,

  666. whatever you want to call it, but it's

  667. still needed. Okay. Verse number 11.

  668. Jude says, "Woe unto them." What does

  669. that mean? Well, number one, he said

  670. they're they're they're cursed,

  671. >> right?

  672. >> Woe unto them. For they've gone in the

  673. way of Cain and ran greedily after the

  674. heir of Balum for reward and perished in

  675. the gains

  676. of core. So he gives three more

  677. examples. We've seen the employment of

  678. these men up to this point, but now he's

  679. given three more examples. First, his

  680. examples were Israel and those

  681. backsliding men or really those lost men

  682. that came out of Egypt there and didn't

  683. believe God. And the Bible says that God

  684. killed them there in the wilderness. And

  685. then there's the example of the angels

  686. that fell from heaven. And then there is

  687. the example there in the text earlier of

  688. Sodom and Gomorrah. And now he gives

  689. three more examples. He goes back to the

  690. scripture again. Jude is trying to drive

  691. this point home. Look, you need to know

  692. who these people are,

  693. >> right? You need to know what they look

  694. like. I know it's not entertaining, but

  695. the truth is tonight we're seeing more

  696. of this than we've ever seen it before.

  697. >> You say, "Preacher, I don't see it

  698. much." Well, your eyes are closed.

  699. >> That's right.

  700. >> It's everywhere.

  701. >> And listen to what he says. He says,

  702. "Woe unto them for they have gone in the

  703. way of Cain." Now, three things tonight

  704. out of verse number 11. I'm going to

  705. give you the big picture here and we'll

  706. be done. All right. First of all, he

  707. says that they have gone in the way of

  708. Cain. Well, what is the description of

  709. Cain? Well, Cain is the first child that

  710. was born into this world.

  711. Isn't that right?

  712. >> Genesis chapter 3 and 4, Cain comes into

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  713. this world. And the Bible says that Adam

  714. and Eve, they they conceive. Cain is

  715. born. And then Abel, his brother, is

  716. born. And out of that relationship, the

  717. Bible says that Cain was a tiller of the

  718. ground, and Abel was a keeper of the

  719. sheep. And the days came that they were

  720. to give a sacrifice for their sin. And

  721. this was not a new thing, mind you, that

  722. Cain had been told what to do just like

  723. Abel had been told what to do because

  724. Adam and Eve, God took that animal and

  725. took the coats of skins meant an animal

  726. had to die and he made coats of skins

  727. for their covering. There was a blood

  728. sacrifice for the very first sin that

  729. was committed. And without the shedding

  730. of blood, there's no remission. But Cain

  731. knowing this fact, knowing and willfully

  732. admitting the fact that he did not do

  733. what God told him to do, he brought an

  734. offering of the fruit of the ground of

  735. the best. Amen. But let me say this, the

  736. best you have to offer is not good

  737. enough in the eyes of God. Abel, he

  738. brought of the first ones of his flock.

  739. And the Bible says that God was

  740. displeased with Cain's offering, but he

  741. was pleased with Abel's offering. And

  742. so, because of the fact of that, Cain

  743. became angry. And you know what

  744. happened? They got in the field. And the

  745. Bible says that Cain in his anger did

  746. what? He slew his brother Abel.

  747. >> Right?

  748. >> And you say, "Preacher, what's the

  749. example of that?" Well, I would say that

  750. Cain, number one, he's self-righteous.

  751. >> These apostates are self-righteous. And

  752. you say, "How is that, preacher?" Well,

  753. Cain wasn't willing to slay a lamb for a

  754. sacrifice.

  755. >> But he was willing to take out his

  756. brother.

  757. >> He was not willing to do things God's

  758. way. And so rather than shed blood in

  759. the prescribed manner, he decided he

  760. would shed blood of his very own

  761. brother. And you say, "What do you mean

  762. by that?" Well, let me just say this.

  763. Canaanism in the world in which we live

  764. today, sheds the brethren blood,

  765. brethren's blood on the altar instead of

  766. dying to sell.

  767. >> Right?

  768. >> Did you hear what I just said?

  769. Canaanism, what it looks like in this

  770. day and time, sheds the brethren's blood

  771. instead of dying to say,

  772. >> right?

  773. Say, "How is that, preacher?" Well, Cain

  774. had a choice. He could get right with

  775. God, or you know what he had to do, him

  776. and his anger, he had to eliminate his

  777. brother,

  778. >> right?

  779. >> What do we see in this world which we're

  780. living in today?

  781. >> It's a competition.

  782. >> That's right.

  783. >> It's self-righteousness. Those that can

  784. get bigger or grow better or do

  785. whatever, it's become a competition.

  786. It's because people HAVE BECOME SO

  787. SELF-RIGHTEOUS. That is a qualification

  788. of apostasy.

  789. >> Amen. You say, "How is that, preacher?"

  790. Well, there's only two boys ON THE WHOLE

  791. FACE OF THE EARTH. And you know what

  792. Cain, his religion, instead of reaching

  793. out, you know what he does? He slits his

  794. throat. You're

  795. >> right.

  796. >> You know what? That's what this world's

  797. religion does.

  798. >> That's what liberal modernism does in

  799. the church.

  800. Amen.

  801. >> All these churches in the world today

  802. that we want to say, "Well, uh, we're

  803. glad that, you know, our youngans are

  804. going to church and we're glad that, you

  805. know, they're in a place where they're

  806. hearing the word of God, but you look at

  807. the way they live and how they act.

  808. They're doing nothing operate. They're

  809. not operating at all by this book.

  810. >> Come on.

  811. >> Not even close." And we want to say,

  812. "Well, they're in church."

  813. >> Come on. And what they're doing is is

  814. they're going down a a two-fold road to

  815. hell from a church pew. Amen. Somewhere

  816. just because there's a preacher up there

  817. that says he's preaching a gospel, but

  818. he's so self-righteous, he's so self-

  819. consumed that really all he wants is the

  820. money from the ministry.

  821. >> You're right.

  822. >> Amen.

  823. >> Cain is self-righteous.

  824. Listen to what John said about him in 1

  825. John 3 and verse number 12. Verse number

  826. 11. And he said, "For this is the

  827. message that you heard from the

  828. beginning, that we should love one

  829. another." Verse 12, "Not as Cain, who

  830. was of that wicked one, and slew his

  831. brother, and wherefore slew him, because

  832. his own works were evil, and his

  833. brother's righteous." You say,

  834. "Preacher, there's no preachers in these

  835. churches taking people's life." No, but

  836. they're taking other men's wives by the

  837. groves. You're

  838. >> right.

  839. >> I know it's not fun preaching tonight,

  840. but I plan on preaching it. Amen. I'm

  841. telling you, this crowd, Amen, that

  842. wants to look like the world and act

  843. like the world and allow you to come in

  844. there and dress just like you do out in

  845. the world, amen, which you shouldn't

  846. dress that way out there anyway, you

  847. come in there looking like the world and

  848. the preacher, rather than preaching a

  849. sermon, all he's doing is gaping at all

  850. the women in the congregation.

  851. >> You say, "Preacher, that ain't the same

  852. thing." Let me tell you, it is, friend.

  853. He They'll take your marriage out.

  854. >> You're right.

  855. >> And if they can't get your marriage,

  856. they'll get your children. You're right.

  857. >> I've known good people that go to them

  858. type of churches. And what they'll do is

  859. is they'll they'll let those people

  860. older people, they got saved back when

  861. the church was right with God. And and

  862. and as the progression goes on, it just

  863. gets a little farther and a little

  864. farther and a little farther away from

  865. the word of God. And and so what happens

  866. eventually, they're approving a gospel

  867. that's not biblical. They're approving

  868. an operation of a church that's not

  869. biblical. And so everybody in the church

  870. starts looking like the world. And what

  871. happens is that older generation gets

  872. left on a curb somewhere. You want to

  873. judge how a church is doing. You watch

  874. how they're treating the elderly folk,

  875. >> right?

  876. >> Well, we got a church, man. We got all

  877. these young people, but they ain't an

  878. elderly person in sight.

  879. >> Cuz they believe the truth,

  880. >> right?

  881. >> But all the younger ones just said,

  882. "Well, we just they're not they're

  883. holding us back."

  884. >> And I've heard preachers say that. I had

  885. to leave that church because it's

  886. holding me back.

  887. >> You know what? The ministry is not about

  888. holding us back.

  889. >> You're right.

  890. >> You say, "Preacher, well, it might could

  891. have been." It wasn't a spiritual thing.

  892. You can tell by the way they said it.

  893. All right.

  894. >> It's different than going forward for

  895. God and going forward in the flesh.

  896. >> Right?

  897. >> I tell you, somebody's going forward for

  898. God, they ain't going to tell you no

  899. church was holding them back.

  900. >> That's right.

  901. >> Look, I'm not on my soap box tonight.

  902. I'm telling you the truth. All right?

  903. this self-righteous attitude that they

  904. have. They think that, you know, what I

  905. do is good enough. You say, "Preacher,

  906. how is that?" Well, what was Cain's

  907. problem?

  908. >> It was his works. He was not willing to

  909. do what God said in order to be

  910. accepted.

  911. >> Said, "I want to look the way that I

  912. look,

  913. >> do the things that I do, and be just how

  914. I am, and God will accept me that way if

  915. he really says he loves me."

  916. But let me say this, friend. And it's a

  917. shame that so many of those men will

  918. shed blood. You say, "Preacher, they

  919. don't shed blood in this life." But

  920. think about all the people that die and

  921. go to hell.

  922. >> Yes.

  923. >> Because of their faulty gospel.

  924. >> And what they'll do is is they'll shed

  925. their blood. And the fact of the matter

  926. is Christ's blood's already been shed.

  927. You're

  928. >> right.

  929. >> He took the hard part.

  930. >> Amen.

  931. >> Just preach the word.

  932. >> Live the word. Be what it says. Operate

  933. how it says.

  934. >> Yes.

  935. >> He's self-righteous. They've gone in the

  936. way of Cain. And that's that's that's

  937. the way a lot of churches are operating

  938. in this day and time.

  939. Come as you are. Leave as you were.

  940. Live however you want to live. Listen to

  941. whatever you want to listen to. Drink

  942. whatever you want to drink. Go wherever

  943. you want to go. Be with whoever you want

  944. to be with. If they don't appreciate

  945. you, you just leave them and go find you

  946. another one.

  947. >> Let me just say this on that note right

  948. there. Okay? Come on.

  949. >> When your young ones are are courting in

  950. their courting years, don't let them run

  951. around with 10 or 15 different young

  952. people.

  953. >> Amen.

  954. >> You say, "What do you mean by that?" I'm

  955. saying when when they when your daughter

  956. or your son has 10 different girlfriends

  957. or 10 different boyfriends, you know

  958. what you're doing? You're setting them

  959. up for divorce.

  960. >> You're right.

  961. >> I know that don't sit well, but that's

  962. the truth tonight. That's exactly what

  963. it is. Cain was self-righteous. These

  964. have gone in that way. They are

  965. operating in the flesh. What they desire

  966. is the way that they are following. Not

  967. only you see self-righteous Cain, but

  968. second of all here, and I need to move,

  969. you see the self-indulgent Balum in

  970. verse number 11. Woe unto them, for they

  971. have gone in the way of Cain and ran

  972. greedily after the error of Balum for

  973. reward. Now, who is Balum tonight? I I

  974. don't want to I ain't got time to preach

  975. the whole story to you, but if you want

  976. a brief overview, give you time to go

  977. back and study it. Numbers chapter

  978. number 22 through numbers chapter number

  979. 24 is the life of Balum. Balam is a

  980. faulty prophet. He was a soothsayer that

  981. lived in Israel. And the Bible says that

  982. the king of Moab, Bailac, saw that

  983. Israel was coming. They had just took

  984. out the Amalachites. God had given them

  985. victory. And what was happening is is

  986. all of Israel's marching up that valley.

  987. And and Bailac's getting wind of it. He

  988. don't like it. He don't like what's

  989. going on. He's afraid he's going to get

  990. hurt. He's afraid his kingdom is going

  991. to get taken from because Israel's

  992. coming and like a bulldozer, they're

  993. taking out everybody that comes with

  994. him.

  995. >> Right?

  996. >> And so Bailac calls Balam unto himself,

  997. tries to offer him money, offers him

  998. money one time. Balam says, "I'm not

  999. going to go. I don't I don't want that

  1000. money. I can't do that. God's blessed

1001. them. There's nothing I can do about

1002. it." What happens is he goes, those men

1003. go back to Bailac. Come back. Bailac

1004. makes him another offer. And Balam goes

1005. to the Lord again and asks if he can go.

1006. And God tells him he can go. But what he

1007. was doing was he was testing him.

  1008. >> Y

1009. >> and so you know what Balam goes and what

1010. happens on the way that donkey Amen

1011. rares up and throws him off

1012. >> and out of that that donkey throwing him

1013. off. The donkey speaks to him.

1014. >> Speaks to him and the donkey asked him,

1015. "Why'd you whip me these three times?"

  1016. You think I'm I'm not You think I'm

1017. joking? It's in there. Amen.

1018. >> Asked him, "Why'd you whip me these

1019. three times?" And and the donkey says,

1020. "Do you not see the man standing over

1021. there?" And the Bible says that God

1022. opened Balam's eyes and the angel of the

1023. Lord was standing over there with his

1024. sword drawn sword drone ready to take

1025. his life. Why? Because he was heading to

  1026. help the enemy.

  1027. >> Right?

1028. >> So, you know what happens? He goes on up

1029. there to the enemy. God lets him go

1030. against his will. Amen. And so he goes

1031. up there and this story goes on. You can

1032. read it all. Numbers 22- 24. He goes up

1033. there and four different times he gets

1034. seven off seven offerings, offers them

1035. on the altar four different times. And

1036. all four times he's going to curse the

1037. children of Israel. God turns the curse

1038. into a blessing. God's not going to

1039. allow Balam to curse the children of

1040. Israel. But every single time Balam

1041. speaks, he can't speak a curse, but he

1042. speaks a blessing over the children of

1043. Israel. And out of that, children of

1044. Israel are blessed over and over and

1045. over again. And Bailac's getting mad

1046. because he's paying him all this money.

1047. And so now he's not winning anymore.

1048. Well, instead of cursing them, Balam

1049. decides to tell him, "All right, since

1050. cursing them is not going to work, what

1051. you need to do is you just need to make

  1052. them sinful."

1053. You say, "Preacher, how is that?" Well,

1054. Bailac was the king of Moab. And all

1055. perversion stemmed out of Moab and

1056. Ammon, those two uh incestuous sons of

  1057. Lot's children,

1058. and all this perversion. They were

1059. wicked as the devil. All types of

1060. fornication stemmed out of those cities.

1061. You say, "What is it, preacher?" Well,

1062. Bailac caused the ladies of Moab to go

1063. and to seduce the men of Israel. Numbers

1064. 25:es 1-3 tells the story. And so out of

1065. that, what happens is Balam causes

1066. Israel to sin and God's greed with them.

1067. You can turn there and read it. Numbers

    Numbers 25 chapter mention

1068. chapter 25. And you say, "Preacher, what

1069. does that have to do with Balum?"

1070. Well, Balam turned over the entire

1071. group, the entire nation of Israel to

  1072. Moab for money. You're

  1073. >> right.

1074. >> Listen to what the book of Revelation

1075. says in chapter two about verse verse 14

  1076. about Balam sin.

1077. The angel of the church in Pergamus is

1078. speaking here in verse 14. He says, "But

1079. I have a few things against thee,

1080. because thou hast there them that hold

1081. the doctrine of Balum, who taught Bailac

1082. to cast a stumbling block before the

1083. children of Israel, to eat things

1084. sacrificed unto idols, and to commit

  1085. fornication."

1086. Balam turned over the entire nation of

1087. Israel under sin for money.

  1088. >> That's right.

1089. >> And I called them out a little bit ago,

1090. but I'm going to blister their high

1091. again. this crowd. Amen. That's taking

1092. people's money and selling them out.

1093. >> There's a hot place in hell for them.

  1094. >> Amen.

1095. >> And Balum, the Bible says, they've ran

1096. greedily. They they HAVE RAN SO FULL of

1097. lust. Balam was so self-indulgent,

1098. DESIRING THAT MONEY, WANTING WHAT HE

1099. COULD HAVE IN HIS FLESH. HE TURNED OVER

1100. THE ENTIRE nation to sin. And they some

1101. hierlands in this country, they'd turn

1102. their whole church over if it meant it

  1103. double their paycheck.

  1104. >> You're right.

1105. >> They'd turn the whole congregation over.

1106. They'd bust it right down the middle. It

  1107. wouldn't matter. It wouldn't bother them

1108. a bit to do that if they could get a

  1109. better paycheck.

  1110. >> You're right.

  1111. >> Amen.

1112. >> I've heard preachers talk about that and

1113. I It makes me sick to my stomach talking

1114. about how they went to a place and they

1115. didn't get enough money and so they

  1116. didn't take the church.

  1117. >> God ain't within a million miles of,

1118. >> right? Amen. You go where God wants you

1119. and he works out that

  1120. >> you're right.

1121. >> You say, "What does that mean?" THEY'RE

  1122. APOSTATES.

  1123. >> AMEN.

  1124. >> They're repbates. AND YOU SAY,

1125. "PREACHER, HOW DO WE IDENTIFY THEM?"

  1126. WELL, THEY'RE SELF-RIGHTEOUS LIKE CAIN.

1127. They're consumed. Their ministry is

  1128. fruitless.

  1129. BUT THEY'RE SELF-INDULGENT LIKE BALUM.

1130. ALL THEY'RE AFTER IS THE DOLLAR.

  1131. >> ALL THEY'RE after is a little more

1132. money, A LITTLE NICER PLACE, A LITTLE

1133. BETTER LIFESTYLE. THEY HAVE NO CARE FOR

  1134. THE church of God,

  1135. >> right?

  1136. >> They're self-indulgent.

1137. Peter said this about the same subject.

  1138. Second Peter chapter 2

    2 Peter 2 chapter mention

1139. verse number 15, which have forsaken the

1140. right way and are gone astray, following

1141. the way of Balum the son of Bosor, who

1142. loved the wages of unrighteousness, but

1143. was rebuked for his iniquity. The

1144. dumbass speaking with man's voice,

1145. forbade the madness of the prophet. GOD

1146. HAD TO TAKE A donkey to tell him how

  1147. foolish he was.

  1148. >> I'm telling you, there's some men,

1149. friend, that they they're going to live.

1150. They're going to ride that train till

1151. the day they die. And when they get

1152. there, they're going to realize how big

1153. of a mistake they make.

  1154. >> Amen.

1155. >> The ministry is not a hierarchy.

1156. It's not authority so we can have a

  1157. paycheck.

  1158. >> You're right.

1159. >> Dr. Scott Cer said this. He said, "I

1160. don't serve God for a paycheck in my

1161. pocket or a plaque on the wall

1162. >> or a pat on the back."

  1163. >> Right?

1164. >> But Balam turned the whole crowd over.

1165. I'll give you this and I'm done tonight.

  1166. They're self-righteous Cain in verse

  1167. number 11. They're self-indulgent Balum.

1168. But then there's this man named Core.

1169. And the Bible says that they ran

1170. greedily after the error of of Balum for

1171. reward and perished in the gains of

  1172. Korea.

1173. Kora is found on the page in the pages

1174. of scripture about numbers chapter 16.

    Numbers 16 chapter mention

1175. His sin is he's found before that.

1176. Kora's family is right along with Aaron

1177. and Moses. They were the Levites. They

1178. were the chosen ones to bear the

1179. presence of God and to bear the ark of

1180. God. And they were in charge of all the

1181. holy things. And the Bible says in

1182. numbers chapter number 16 that Kora gets

1183. two men to come with him. Two men by the

1184. name of Dayan and A Byron. And these two

1185. men, they join forces with Kora and they

1186. come unto Moses and they're going to

1187. stand against him. They've got a bunch

1188. of men with them about 250 I think the

1189. scripture says. And they go and stand

1190. against Moses and they say Moses you

1191. really shouldn't take all this authority

  1192. to yourself.

1193. And they say something like this. All

  1194. the people is holy.

1195. All the people is holy. Let's turn there

1196. and look at that. You need to see that.

  1197. Numbers chapter 16

    Numbers 16 chapter mention

  1198. number 16 verse number

  1199. verse number three.

1200. And they gathered themselves together

1201. against Moes. Moses, this is Kora, son

1202. of Kohath, Dayan, and Abram, the sons of

1203. Eli, and Anne, and uh son of Paleith,

1204. sons of Reuben. Verse three, they

  1205. gathered themselves together against

1206. Moses and against Aaron, and said unto

1207. them, you take too much upon you, seeing

1208. all the congregation are holy, every one

1209. of them, and the Lord is among them.

1210. Wherefore then lift you up yourselves

  1211. above the congregation

1212. of the Lord. Notice verse four and five.

1213. And when Moses heard it, he fell upon

1214. his face, and he spake unto Core and

1215. unto all his company, saying, Even

1216. tomorrow the Lord will show who are his

1217. and who is holy, and will cause him to

1218. come near unto him, even him whom heath

1219. chosen will he cause to come near unto

1220. him. And this chapter reveals that these

1221. men get up offerings. Kora decides these

1222. men and Byram that they're going to get

1223. up and offer and they're going to go and

1224. offer this thing. And Moses, it comes

1225. down to the wire. And the Bible says

1226. Moses said, "The ones that are holy," he

1227. said, "if these men are not who I say

1228. they are." He he said, "These men are

1229. who they say they are, let the ground

1230. open up and swallow them whole."

1231. >> Listen to what the Bible says in verse

  1232. number 30.

1233. But if the Lord make a new thing, and

1234. the earth open her mouth, and swallow

1235. them up with all that appertain unto

1236. them, and they go down quick into the

1237. pit, then you shall understand that

1238. these men had provoked the Lord. And it

1239. came to pass, as he had made an end of

1240. speaking all these words, that the

1241. ground clave of sunder that was under

1242. them, and the earth opened their mouth,

1243. and swallowed them up, and their houses,

1244. and all the men that have pertained unto

1245. Kora, and all their goods.

1246. You say, "Preacher, what is that?" Well,

1247. they were rejecting the authority of

  1248. Moses, right?

1249. >> You say, "What is that picture of?"

1250. Well, Moses is the law.

  1251. >> Amen.

1252. >> Moses was in charge of the children of

1253. Israel. And this is especially

1254. applicable in the day of anti-semitism

  1255. that we live in,

  1256. >> right?

1257. >> They came and they said, "All right, we

1258. we we've got a better plan, Moses. You

  1259. don't need you've made yourself higher

  1260. than everybody else.

1261. You don't belong up there. You need some

  1262. help, Moses."

1263. And so you know what they're doing?

1264. They're trying to undermine the

  1265. authority right

  1266. >> of Moses.

1267. >> And so what happens? Moses says, "All

1268. right, he provoked the Lord. This ain't

  1269. what God wanted."

1270. What happens out of that? Moses calls

1271. them out in their sin. And what do they

1272. do? They die. Jude says this. He said

1273. that they are perished in the game

1274. saying of core. And without going into a

1275. whole lot of detail about this, what

1276. that simply means is is that at the very

1277. moment of their sin, you know what God

  1278. did?

1279. And you know where they went? To hell.

  1280. >> Right?

1281. >> Why is that? Because they undermine the

  1282. authority of Moses.

  1283. >> Right?

1284. >> People in this day and time, the

1285. Christians, and let me say this, this is

1286. getting to be a more mainstream thing.

1287. And I' I've seen it a little bit here of

1288. late, and I don't know a whole lot, but

1289. I do know this. Anybody that stands

1290. against Israel is not my friend.

  1291. >> Right. Amen.

  1292. >> We've got so-called Christian people in

  1293. this country.

  1294. >> Come on, preacher.

1295. >> That are landlasting Israel.

  1296. >> You're right.

1297. >> I mean, absolutely plowing them up.

1298. Look, now we know tonight Israel's

  1299. sinful.

1300. >> We realize that. Okay, we know tonight

1301. that they're not right with God because

1302. if they were right with God, they'd get

  1303. saved. Somebody say, "Amen."

1304. >> But God said, "I'll bless them that

1305. bless thee, and I'll curse them that

1306. curse thee." and all this crowd that

1307. wants to divide Israel and say that that

1308. does not apply in this day and time that

1309. say that it is not right to honor Israel

1310. anymore because when the church arrived

1311. God did away with Israel. That's not the

  1312. way it works.

  1313. >> Amen.

  1314. >> Right.

1315. >> Paul said in the book of Romans, he said

1316. even at this present time, there's a

1317. remnant according to the election of

1318. grace. There is a remnant of Israel at

1319. this point in time. You're

  1320. >> right.

1321. >> Say, "How is that, preacher?" Well, when

1322. Jesus comes back, that remnant is going

  1323. to come out.

  1324. >> You're right.

1325. What do you mean by that, preacher? Kora

1326. was against Moses and therefore he was

1327. against the people of God. And these

1328. people who are against Israel, you know

  1329. what they're doing? They're

  1330. self-exalting themselves.

1331. Kora exalted himself, tried to make

1332. himself like Moses. And what did it do?

1333. It brought about a curse on him. And the

  1334. earth swallowed him up.

1335. What people who are anti-Semitics are

1336. doing, they are exalting their position

  1337. above Israel.

1338. You know what they're doing when they do

  1339. that? They're trying to

  1340. minimize the ministry

1341. of that book right there.

  1342. >> Amen.

1343. >> Because if they can say that Israel is

1344. no longer God's chosen people, they can

1345. defile anything that's in this book.

  1346. >> Right?

1347. The line that runs all the way through

1348. the word of God is God's chosen people.

1349. >> And who is the seed of that? Christ was

  1350. >> right.

1351. >> And the Bible says in verse number 11,

1352. they perished in the gain saying of

1353. court. Now, people that will do this in

1354. this day and time, apostates who will

1355. undermine the authority of the word of

1356. God. And a closer application would be

1357. this. Those who would undermine the

1358. authority of the man of God and the word

1359. of God, they're not going to be the

1360. ground's not going to open up and

1361. swallow them. But what this says is is

1362. that they are presently administered a

  1363. curse.

  1364. >> Right?

1365. >> Notice it again in the text. The Bible

1366. said they have perished in the gains

1367. saying of core. Now that word perish

1368. there's the same word perish in John

    John 3:16

1369. 3:16. Bible says for God so loved the

1370. world that he gave his only begotten son

1371. that whosoever believeth him should not

1372. perish but have everlasting life. Now,

1373. let me ask you tonight,

1374. does that perishing take place at death?

1375. Or does that perishing take place the

1376. moment a child is conceived? You know

1377. what? They're conceived in death.

  1378. >> Right. Amen.

1379. >> That perishing is not a physical death.

1380. Salvation ain't got anybody out of a

  1381. physical death.

  1382. >> You're right.

  1383. >> Has it?

  1384. >> So, it's a spiritual death. What does

1385. that tell us? It means that Kora in our

1386. text it says he there perished in the

1387. gang Sam Cor just as immediately as Kora

1388. went into the earth. That means those

1389. people that live this way they're dead.

  1390. >> You're right.

1391. >> Not physically but spiritually. And it

1392. means that they've gone past the point

  1393. of repentance.

1394. What did the Bible say about Esau? Look,

1395. I know this is a lot to process tonight.

1396. All right, but I want you to hear me,

1397. okay? What did the Bible say about Esau?

1398. Hebrews chapter 12, I believe it is,

    Hebrews 12 chapter mention

1399. said he found no place of repentance,

1400. though he sought it carefully

  1401. >> with tears.

  1402. >> These people

1403. have no place to repent.

  1404. >> Right?

1405. >> When Moses pronounced the curse, you

1406. know what? There was nothing could do.

1407. The earth was going to swallow him up.

1408. Why? Because he had rejected the word of

1409. God and he had rejected the messenger

  1410. that gave it. You're

1411. >> right. an apostate that stands against

1412. the word of God. Mark my words. All

1413. right? When they stand against the word

1414. of God and the messenger that gives it,

1415. you know what happens to them? If they

1416. stand against it long enough, they'll

  1417. die standing against it.

  1418. >> Right?

1419. >> And they'll be in hell, still standing

1420. against it. What did the Bible say about

1421. the rich man? He was in hell. What did

1422. he say? Send Lazarus. He still thought

1423. that Lazarus was his little

  1424. do what I want.

1425. Don't work that way though, does it?

  1426. >> Right?

1427. >> When you get there, it's over with.

  1428. >> Amen.

1429. >> These men go that way and they're headed

  1430. that way willfully.

1431. You say, "Preacher, what does that have

1432. to do with me tonight?" Well, I hope

1433. that you're none of those things.

1434. >> Number one. Number two, I say this. I

1435. hope that you're not being influenced

  1436. >> by this.

1437. >> What do you mean? I'm saying that I

1438. don't want you to be influenced by

1439. somebody who self-righteous says, "Well,

1440. you can just do whatever you want to and

  1441. you'll be okay."

  1442. >> I hope you're not influenced by somebody

1443. who self-indulgent like Balum. Hey, come

1444. along with me and our ministry will get

1445. blessed. You can get a big name, put

1446. your name on the side of a bus, have all

1447. the money and all the all the blessings

  1448. that you want.

1449. Ain't got much use for somebody puts

1450. their name on a website or on the side

1451. of a bus. That's right. Such and such

  1452. ministries.

  1453. >> Amen.

1454. those who are self-righteous, those who

1455. are self-indulgent, but those who are

  1456. self-exalting.

  1457. >> Yeah.

1458. >> One preacher said this. He told told a

1459. bunch of young preachers this, and I

1460. think he's right. He said, uh, he said,

1461. "If you ever have to put yourself out

1462. there as a preacher, he said, "You know

1463. what you'll have to do? You'll have to

  1464. keep yourself out there."

  1465. >> You're right.

1466. >> But if God raises you up, nobody can

  1467. take you away.

  1468. >> You're right.

1469. >> I've seen it down through the years. Men

1470. will spend money and do all kinds of

1471. things to push their platform.

1472. >> You know what? The minute that they

1473. stop, it just goes away.

  1474. >> You're right.

1475. >> What happened to Kora? His platform

1476. didn't last too long, did it?

  1477. >> It's serious tonight.

  1478. >> I know it's different. You say,

1479. "Preacher, how can I approach the

1480. invitation this time?" Well, I'll tell

1481. you this. One of two things. If you're

1482. if you're here tonight and this if

1483. you're if you're dealing with this, all

  1484. right, you you're questioning

1485. everything. Questioning what we believe,

1486. questioning why we believe it,

1487. questioning why I preach how I preach,

1488. why why this church operates the way it

1489. does. The best thing that you can do is

1490. take your Bible and get on this altar

1491. and open it and say, "God, show me."

  1492. >> You're right.

1493. >> Lord, help me. What that man say to

1494. Jesus? He said, "I believe. Lord, help

  1495. my unbelief." Yeah.

1496. >> If you know you're saved and you know

  1497. you're you're you're tinkering with that

1498. line, maybe you found somebody on TV and

1499. you like to listen to him because he

1500. tickles your ears, makes you feel good,

1501. you ought to question that,

  1502. >> right?

1503. >> You may be here tonight and and you're

1504. in danger of being influenced by this,

1505. by somebody that's around you. I'll say

1506. this, you need to pray God will protect

  1507. you.

  1508. >> Amen.

1509. >> This stuff will take you out.

  1510. >> Amen.

1511. >> Modernism is destroying our good

  1512. churches, right?

1513. Because the very second, this is the way

1514. it is, brother Matt. The very second

1515. somebody decides they don't want to

1516. abide by what the Bible says about our

  1517. standards,

  1518. >> right?

1519. >> They can go right down the road

  1520. >> Yeah.

1521. >> to the next place they don't have it.

  1522. >> You're right.

1523. >> And continue on like nothing ever

  1524. happened.

  1525. >> Amen.

1526. >> And this is what they'll say. Well, it

  1527. feels the same.

  1528. >> You're right.

1529. >> It feels exactly the same. I feel the

  1530. same spirit.

  1531. >> Come on.

1532. >> Let me say this. You can have the same

  1533. feeling

  1534. on a country song.

  1535. >> Yes.

1536. >> That you can have on a hymn.

  1537. >> Come on.

1538. >> Oh, man. I'm telling you, I just really

1539. have turned the tater patch over now.

  1540. >> We don't go off feelings.

  1541. >> You're right.

1542. >> But you don't never hear no people say,

1543. "Well, he preaches the same Bible." No,

1544. he don't. Because if he did, you'd be

  1545. living the same way.

  1546. >> Amen.

  1547. Look, I know it's not pretty, but I'm

1548. telling you, if we going to keep this

1549. thing straight. You say, "Preacher, you

1550. going to make our church so small, there

1551. ain't going to be no life here.

  1552. >> I'm not worried about size." That's

  1553. >> right.

  1554. >> You know what I'm worried about? I'm

1555. going to give an account to God one of

1556. these days for what I tell you in this

  1557. bullpit.

  1558. >> Amen.

1559. >> And if I can prevent somebody from

1560. dying, somebody falling out in this

1561. world, I'll do it every time.

  1562. >> Yeah.

1563. >> Say, "Preacher, but it brings

  1564. casualties." No, not casualties.

1565. spiritually. Yeah, people leave. But let

1566. me let me say this to you. When they

1567. leave, let me ask you, how does it feel

  1568. here?

  1569. >> You're right. COME ON.

  1570. >> WHAT'S CHANGED HERE?

  1571. >> We're still preaching the same Bible. I

1572. still believe the SAME THING. I'M STILL

1573. OPERATING THE SAME WAY. I DON'T KNOW

1574. ABOUT YOU, BUT SOMETIMES THE HINDRANCES

1575. HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY.

  1576. >> RIGHT.

1577. I would rather this thing be holy

  1578. >> with five people

1579. >> then it be worldly

  1580. >> and have it

  1581. >> you're right

1582. >> father I pray in Jesus name.

1583. Lord, you know my heart tonight.

  1584. And God, I don't have a desire

1585. to hinder anything or anybody.

1586. But Lord, if we don't start drawing this

1587. thing back to the Bible,

1588. Lord, we're going to get to a place one

1589. of these days when we look back at the

1590. scriptures and like the people of God,

1591. they read it and they wept because they

1592. didn't even know what it meant.

1593. And Lord, I pray there'd be some people

1594. right now that make up their mind

1595. that regardless of their own fancy,

  1596. their own desire,

1597. the world's feds around them, Lord, that

1598. they're going to decide to go with the

  1599. word of God.

1600. Lord, I wouldn't want anybody to be like

  1601. Kora,

  1602. be perished, lost

1603. because they decided to go against the

  1604. word of God.

1605. I wouldn't want anybody to be like Balum

1606. and love the wages of unrighteousness

  1607. more

1608. than the people of God.

1609. Lord, I wouldn't ever want to sell out

1610. any of these church members.

1611. And Lord, you know my heart tonight.

1612. Lord, I don't want anybody to leave this

1613. church. And Lord, I'm thankful that not

1614. everybody that's left this church has

1615. left out of the will of God.

1616. But Lord, I pray for those that have.

1617. God, you know where they are and you

  1618. know what they need.

1619. And Lord, for those that left, Father,

1620. and God, they were never going to truly

1621. trust you, never going to involve

1622. themselves in the work of God, and they

1623. were never going to be saved. Lord, I

  1624. pray please,

1625. please, God, that you wouldn't let it be

1626. the last time for them to have a chance

  1627. to be saved.

1628. But God, I'm mindful of the fact that

1629. there are people that'll come in here

1630. and then they'll leave and they'll never

  1631. get another opportunity.

1632. But Lord, what would that make me if I

1633. didn't tell them the truth while they're

  1634. here?

1635. Lord, I pray you'd help us to be

  1636. obedient to you always,

  1637. submit to you.

1638. And Lord, I pray for whatever needs

1639. you're on this altar tonight, you'd meet

1640. them. that I pray for our young people

1641. you'd protect their mind from apostasy.

1642. Lord, don't let them thank God that they

1643. can just live and do however they want

1644. to. Lord, those friends that want to

1645. tell them to come along and it'll be all

1646. right and the Lord will forgive you

1647. later on. Lord, please don't let them

1648. follow that crowd. Yeah. Amen.

1649. >> And Lord, for these others, God, many I

1650. think of, Lord, even my own family,

1651. Lord, not in a good church or not in a

1652. place where the Bible's being preached.

1653. Lord, I pray please you deal with their

  1654. heart,

1655. Lord. Cuz I know when you get closer

1656. to you and closer to the scripture, you

1657. can't stay in them places because it

  1658. just don't satisfy.

1659. And Lord, I pray that you would help us

1660. all to be thankful for what we have we

1661. have here at Meadows. God, you've been

1662. so good. And I bless your name for it.

1663. Meet every need tonight in Jesus name.

  1664. Amen.
