book of Jude tonight. Book of Jude.

And u

so thankful God's blessed our church

with talent and u I appreciate the Lord

being so good to us.

>> And I tell you church, don't ever take

it for granted what you've got here.

>> And it can be gone in just a minute.

And uh circumstances of life arise,

death comes sometimes unexpectedly. And

before you know it, all that talent can

be gone. Amen.

>> And you just make sure you say,

"Preacher, well, it ain't about that."

Well, I agree with you. It's not about

that. But I tell you this, what we do

for the Lord, it ought to be excellent.

>> Amen.

>> And you ought to play skillfully. And I

appreciate our musicians. I appreciate

our choir. I appreciate uh brother Galen

and uh all everybody that has a part in

the music here at the church and I thank

you for it and I thank you for allowing

me to lead in that and I appreciate it

very very much. Jude, I want to look

tonight here of just a few verses and

continue our study here. And I wanted to

just continue this on Wednesday night,

but I couldn't get away from it this

afternoon. And u I I felt like this past

Wednesday night was very beneficial

study and I want to continue with that

and try to be a blessing if I may. I

tell you this, I know it's not worth

anything if it just comes from me, but I

want it to be from him. And so I feel

like this is where he led me tonight. If

you find your place, the book of Jude

will stand on reference to the reading

of God's word. And uh we'll read this

chapter here tonight. And uh

I love this text. I I think when you

study this, if you know anything about

your Bible very much, the passage second

Peter verse chapter number two mirrors

this text a whole lot. There's a lot of

things that are said um there kind of

running along the same vein and it's no

coincidence that this is the text

nearing the book of Revelation of course

describing the end time and I really

believe this is where we're living at

and I think it's something we ought to

be well aware of. Amen. And uh

considering that subject, I know it's

not something we like to talk about. Um

but I think it's something we need to

talk be talking about more. And the

identification of apostasy uh around us

and even within us if we're not careful

that spirit of antichrist will even work

on us. And I'm thankful he can't have

control over us. I'm thankful he can't

possess us. Amen. If you're saved by the

holy saved by the grace of God, filled

with the Holy Spirit, you cannot be

possessed. Um, but I do believe you can

be oppressed. And so, we want to

identify that and also be able to

identify uh the words coming from others

around us that are in this spirit. And

so, I want to look tonight. Let's let's

begin reading verse number four again of

Jude. And uh we'll look there verse

number four. The Bible says, "For there

are certain men crept in unwares, who

were before of old ordained to this

condemnation, ungodly men, turning the

grace of our God into lasciviousness,

and denying the only Lord God and our

Lord Jesus Christ. And I will therefore

put you in remembrance, though you once

knew this, how that the Lord, having

saved the people out of the land of

Egypt, afterward destroyed them that

believe not. The angels which kept not

their first estate, but left their own

habitation, he hath reserved an

everlasting chains under darkness under

the judgment of the great day. Even as

Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about

them in like manner, giving themselves

over to fornication, and going after

strange flesh, are set forth for an

example, suffering the vengeance of

eternal fire. Likewise also, these

filthy dreamers defile the flesh,

despise dominion, and speak evil evil of

dignities. Yet Michael the archangel in

contending with the devil, he disputed

about the body of Moses. Durst not,

bring against him a reing accusation,

but said, "The Lord rebuke thee." But

these speak evil of those things which

they know not. But what they know

naturally as brute beast, and those

things they corrupt themselves. Woe unto

them, for they have gone in the way of

Cain, and ran greedily after the heir of

Balum for reward, and perished in the

gains of core. These are spots in your

feast of charity. When they feast with

you, feeding themselves without fear,

clouds they are without water, carried

about of winds. Trees whose fruit

witherth, without fruit, twice dead,

plucked up by the roots, raging ways of

the sea, foaming out their own shame,

wandering stars, to whom is reserved the

blackness of darkness forever. And Enoch

also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied

of these, saying, "Behold, the Lord

cometh with 10,000 of his saints, to

execute judgment upon all, and to

convince all that are ungodly among

them, of all their ungodly deeds which

they have ungodly committed, and of all

their hard speeches which ungodly

sinners have spoken against him." Now,

we're not going to get that far in the

text tonight, and I wanted to read that

just so it can be fresh in your mind.

And I want you to stay up with me uh on

this text. If you would please keep your

Bible handy. We're going to be using

them tonight. And I want to preach on

the thought tonight, the truth about

apostasy, part number three. And we pray

that the Lord will help us and add a

blessing to the reading of his word.

Father, thank you for this time tonight.

Thank you, Lord, for your truth. And

God, I pray tonight, Lord, that you

would help us uh God, to endure sound

doctrine tonight. I pray that you'll

give us wisdom, discernment as we

navigate these portions of scripture. Uh

Lord, many of these things, some of

these folks may have never heard of. And

so God, I pray uh Lord, that you would

open our ears and our hearts to your

word tonight. And God, I pray you give

us wisdom and discernment to divide the

truth rightly. And God, I thank you for

what you do. Get glory to yourself. Save

the sinner nearest hell. Reclaim the

backslid. And for what you do, we'll

give you thanks because we ask it in

Jesus name. And God's children said you

can be seated. Thank you for standing

tonight. Tonight, last week we left off

in verse number nine. And I made just a

few brief statements concerning verse

number nine. But I want to look verses

9, 10, and 11 tonight with the help of

the Lord. And that's going to require me

to cover a lot of ground. And so I need

you to stay with me tonight. I need you

to pray for me that the Lord will help

us. And so tonight when we come to this

text, of course, we left off last time

there considering uh Michael the

Archangel. We made mention of this uh

just just briefly talking about the fact

that he did not even uh bring a

accusation against the devil. We talked

about the hierarchies of the world. We

talked about the disrespect of those

that despise dominion according to verse

number eight. Uh they reject authority

and they speak evil of those uh that are

legitimate authentic authority. And we

described their devotions. We described

uh their destruction as well. But

tonight when we consider verse number

nine, it's going to go further uh in

this thought here. Not the examples but

uh the employment of apostasy. And and

the Bible says, "Yet Michael the

archangel." Now tonight, Michael the

archangel comes on the pages of

scripture in the book of Daniel. He is

mentioned there in Daniel chapter number

10 and verse number 13. We know Daniel

there was praying and he become weak in

the battle because of the weight of the

prophecies. The Bible says that Michael

came and strengthened Daniel because of

the great mental oppression that he was

facing. And he is labeled as the

archangel here in the text. And that

simply means that word ark there means

the chief. And so Michael is the chief

angel. He is the number one angel there

in God's army. He's mentioned again in

the book of Revelation 12 and verse

number 7 where he is accompanying a

group of angels to go and take out the

dragon of course which is the devil

himself. And we see so we see here by

way of introduction Michael here is

mentioned alongside of the devil. Notice

what the Bible says there in verse

number nine. It says when contending

with the devil he disputed about the

body of Moses. And so Michael here, this

chief angel in charge of God's

rulership. When you think about Michael,

he is a mediator. He is a a man really

angel. We would say that he is the one

that's going to be the one there in the

book of Thessalonians that's going to

sound the trumpet. There's the the

trumpet will sound. The voice of the

archangel, the Bible says. And so

that'll be Michael's voice that they'll

hear from heaven at the rapture. And so

he is the one that really gets handsy

with the devil in the book of

Revelation. He's the archangel that I

believe according to the book of

Revelation chapter 20. He's going to

Revelation 20 · chapter mention

deal with the devil that very last time.

I'm saying this man's a bad dude. Okay?

>> He's serious. All right? He's the

highest in God's angelic authority. And

the Bible says that him and the devil

disputed with the body of Moses. Now, we

mentioned that Lucifer last time he was

given authority. He was that cherub that

covered there according to Ezekiel

chapter number 28 and:es 12-1 17. And so

they're having a dispute here and we

notice that Michael's dispute is about

Moses death. Notice that in verse number

nine they disputed about the body of

Moses. Now there's argument about why

they were disputing over the body of

Moses. But what you'll discover about

Moses body is is that Moses did not have

a man burial.

Moses was taken by God and buried in a

place where nobody would know where he

was. Deuteronomy chapter 34 tells us

Deuteronomy 34 · chapter mention

about Moses burial. God took him away

and buried him. And you'd say, "Well,

what's the reason for that?" Well, I

personally believe that if Moses had

been buried by a man, they would have

made a shrine on his grave and the

Israelites would have worshiped him and

they would have raised up a shrine unto

him to worship him for the rest of their

days. What they done is they'd made a

god out of it.

>> Right?

>> And so Moses was buried. And so the

Bible never mentions this dispute

anywhere else but this text. But the

illustration is nonetheless the same.

Michael and the devil are disputing

about Moses death. But you notice in

verse number nine in this story, there

is a moral that's declared. All right?

And I need you to stay with me. I'm

going to give you a lot more scripture

stuff tonight. Okay? I want you to hang

with me. It's got an application. All

right? Listen to what he says in verse

nine. He durst not bring against him a

railing accusation, but said the Lord

rebuke thee. And you say, preacher, what

does that mean? Well, when you think

tonight about the authority that Michael

has as the angel, the fact that in the

future, he's going to be the one to

banish the devil perpetually into that

that lake which burnth with fire and

brimstone. He's going to be the one that

gets rid of him. And all the authority

that Michael has, even he himself, in

spite of the fact that Lucifer had great

authority in heaven, God had placed him

at the highest of the highs in his

angelic authority. Michael still did not

bring an accusation against him. You

said, "What do you mean by that?" Well,

it says he didn't bring a railing

accusation. What does that mean? It

means that he didn't come to him

injuriously

and say, "Oh, Lucifer, you fake. You

phony. You stepped out on your

authority." No. Michael respected it.

You know what we're lacking this day and

time?

>> That right there.

>> Amen.

>> You know, I hear so much amongst the

ranks of church people in this day and

time. I'm thankful it's not here. Amen.

But I hear people talking men down

constantly. Constantly. and and it's

over and over and over again. And

Michael, he wasn't even bringing

accusation against the devil. And I I've

heard people say this, "Well, when I get

to heaven, God's going to let me punch

old Satan in the face." I just don't

know about all that. All right?

>> God's going to deal with him. Okay?

>> And it's not our it's not our place

tonight to bring about judgment. The

Bible says, "Judge not, lest you be

judged." Amen. What judgment you meet,

you're going to be measured with all.

Amen. What that simply means is is when

you cast the judgment out there, you

just be sure that it's going to come

back and probably double. Amen.

>> Amen.

>> I know tonight the Bible teaches us that

we're to be judges of all things as

Christians, but the application's

different. You need to know your Bible.

Amen. Michael didn't even bring an

accusation against the devil. Notice

that he said, "The Lord rebuked thee."

You see here as well in this text,

there's a reference here in my Bible to

that phrase, "The Lord rebuked thee."

Jesus there in Zechariah chapter 3 and

Zechariah 3 · chapter mention

verse number two or God the father there

in the text uh Joshua was standing

before the Lord the Bible says and the

devil spoke against him and the Lord

spoke and he rebuked the devil there in

that text you see God's the one that

vengeance belongs to

>> right

>> he's the one that judgment belongs to

he's the one that rebuke belongs to and

so the moral declared is this that if

Michael wouldn't bring an accusation

against the devil

look what these men do according to

verse number 10. But these speak evil of

those things which they know not, but

that which that what they but what they

know naturally as brute beast and those

things they corrupt themselves. And so

in verse number nine, there is the

example of Michael, this great angel

that he wouldn't accuse the devil of

things he was even guilty of. In verse

10, these apostates, they speak evil of

things that they don't even know about.

>> Right?

>> What does that mean? And well, you see

their language in verse 10, it says they

speak evil. Apostates always got a

really wide-lipped lifestyle.

>> Amen. Likes to talk.

>> Likes to tell his opinions and his ideas

about things. I know this is Sunday

night and this is just rubbing you a

little bit wrong, but stay with me,

okay?

They like to talk about things that they

know nothing about. And you say, "What

is that, preacher?" Well, number one,

salvation by grace through faith.

>> Amen. These men don't know about

salvation, but they always want to talk

theologically about salvation. Well, you

believe in that once-s saved, always

saved stuff.

And I believe when Jesus comes in your

heart, he died once and he rose once.

And so when he comes in, he comes in to

stay.

>> Amen. He's either there or he's not.

Somebody say, "Amen." and all the other

theological discussions that they will

come into. They will split hairs over

just about anything in that Bible.

They'll argue with you about who wrote

the first five books of the Bible.

They'll argue with you about who the

angels or who the sons of God are in

Genesis 6. They'll argue with you about

all the most USELESS INFORMATION WHEN

GOD didn't tell us. Amen. THERE'S A

REASON WHY HE DIDN'T TELL US. AND LET ME

SAY THIS TONIGHT. WHERE THE BIBLE STAYS

SILENT, you know what we should do?

Stay silent. Amen. When somebody wants

to come and talk to you about the

Apocrypha. All right. Now, the Apocrypha

is that little book that's in the middle

of the Bible that they talk about, those

books that are in between Malachi and

Matthew. When somebody wants to ask you

about that and try to reason with you

theologically about that, you just

dismiss them. Okay?

>> Right?

>> God preserves 66 books

>> in our King James Bible that are for us

tonight.

And when people want to argue about

things that have no that do not make a

hill of beans to salvation or if they

want to try to undermine the doctrines

that we believe salvation by grace that

without the shedding of blood there's no

remission. Hey, there's men in this day

and time that preach that it did the

blood is not necessary for salvation.

What I'm saying is is these are

apostates.

They're always talking. You look at

their lifestyle and they're constantly

in these chat rooms. They're constantly

on the internet making theological

discussions. They're constantly pushing

their agenda on people, trying to draw

people under them. And it's all talk.

>> And when you look at their ministry, it

has nothing to do with the word of God.

Their language is blasphemous. Look what

he says in verse 10. But these speak

evil. That means that they're trying to

undermine. And that word evil means they

have an ulterior motive.

They'll tell you something that might be

truth, but in their heart they've got

another agenda in mind.

>> They will manipulate you and they are

blaspheing. Blaspheming the Holy Ghost

of God when they go against the word of

God and its precepts. He said they speak

evil of those things which they know

not. What do they not know about? Well,

they don't know about salvation. They

don't know about the scriptures. They

don't know about the spirit of God. that

this is what they want to talk to you

about,

>> right?

>> They want to deal with you on your

feelings.

What does it feel like to you? See, I I

felt this way. I I felt led this way.

But they never want to talk to you about

scripture. Young people, be aware of

this. All right?

>> And the thing about it is in this day of

technology that we have, young people

are getting involved in this more and

more. You're

>> right.

>> People down at the schoolhouse want to

get into theological discussions because

they've been internet trained.

>> You're right. You say, "Preacher, that

ain't no way that's true. It was there

when I was in school."

>> That ain't been that long ago. But what

the proof I'm trying to make here is

this is people are getting this stuff

more than they ever have.

>> And that's why you need to know your

Bible, their language. They speak evil

of those things which they know not.

When somebody's always casting doubt on

Mary being a virgin,

>> come on. When somebody's always casting

doubt on Jesus being the sinless son of

God, when they're casting doubt on the

fact that he could not sin, it was

impossible for him to sin. When they do

that, you just know

>> they don't believe like you do. Amen.

>> They speak evil of those things which

they know not. Notice not only their

language, but notice their lack. They

don't know. Verse number 10, verse

number notice the next phrase. But what

they know naturally,

you see, their lack is is they don't

have a spiritual knowledge. What does

the Bible say? It says, "For the carnal

man receiveth not the things of God,

neither can he know them because they're

spiritually discerned." Let's turn and

look at that. 1 Corinthians chapter 2,

1 Corinthians 2:14

verse 14.

1 Corinthians chapter 2:14. But the

natural man receiveth not the things of

the spirit of God. For they are

foolishness unto him. Neither can he

know them because they are spiritually

discerned. They're lack the Holy Ghost

don't live on the inside. Right?

>> They have no spiritual insight.

>> They have no ability to discern right

from wrong. They their senses have been

haven't been exercised because they have

no senses to exercise

>> their language, their lack. 1

1 Corinthians 2:14

Corinthians 2:14, 2 Corinthians 4:4, put

2 Corinthians 4:4

it in your margin. You notice not only

their lack, but notice their lust in

verse 10. But what they know naturally

as brute beast in those things they

corrupt themselves. Now, what does this

tell us? Well, the Bible says there that

they speak evil of the things that they

don't know about. They want to dispute

about everything that we're sure of. But

what they know naturally, that's their

carnal life, their their their fleshly

life. Look what the Bible says. as brute

beast in those things they corrupt

themselves. These men are full of lust,

>> right?

>> And you see, they're so vocal and open

about their spirituality.

They're always casting doubt on what we

believe and why we believe and trying to

undermine the faith that was once

delivered. But if you got into their

personal life, what you would find is

men and women who are laden with sin,

>> right?

They are controlled by their lust.

Whether it be the dollar, whether it be

fornication, whatever it is, most of

them it's alcoholism. Amen.

>> What I'm saying is is THEY ARE

CONTROLLED BY their lust. And the Bible

says in verse number 10 that they

corrupt themselves. That that word

corrupt literally means they are

bringing themselves to destruction.

They are destroying their life

physically.

Be careful about a man who will preach a

gospel and then go out in the world and

live and act just like the world.

>> Right?

>> He might have a message, but that does

not make him a man of God.

>> JUST BECAUSE SOMEBODY HAS something to

say does not mean they're sent from God.

>> Right?

>> Their lust, they're headed for

destruction. And what is it that's

destroying them? Verse 10, as brute

beasts in those things, they corrupt

themselves. They are literally

overindulgent.

And it is their overindulgence that's

going to kill them.

>> Right?

>> It is that that's going to take the life

out of them because they have given

themselves over to the flesh. They're

headed for destruction. In those things,

they corrupt themselves. Listen to what

Paul said in the book of Romans chapter

Romans 1 · chapter mention

1. Paul dealt with this crowd talking

about the Lord turning them over. Listen

to what he says. Romans chapter number

one verse number 26. For this cause God

gave them up unto vile affections. For

even their women did change the natural

use into that which is against nature.

So he's given them over to a reprobate

mind. Verse 28. Even as they did not

like to retain God in their knowledge.

God gave them over to a reprobate mind

to do those things which are not

convenient. But you say preacher, what

does that have to do with an apostate

teacher? Well, listen to what he said in

verse number 21. Because that when they

knew God, they glorified him not as God,

neither were thankful, but became vain

in their imaginations, and their foolish

heart was darkened. What does verse 22

say? Professing themselves to be wise,

>> they became fools.

>> I'll tell you this, the Christianity

that America's embraced is full of

professors,

>> right?

>> It's full of teachers.

>> But Paul said this to the Corinthian

church. He said, "You've got many

teachers." He said, "But you have not

many fathers."

>> Amen.

>> Men that actually care.

You see, those men don't care about your

soul.

>> Right?

>> You say, "Preacher, what's an example of

that?" Well, there's millions in this

country that's flocking to them. But the

word faith crowd, the the prosperity

gospel crowd that says, "If you'll

believe Jesus and you'll be obedient to

him and send me your money, God will

bless you."

>> Right?

>> While they fly around in their $10

million pl private jets, amen, and live

in their luscious mansions.

off the money that they've robbed off of

poor little people that they've sent a

five cent cloth for $10 called a prayer

shaw.

>> What I'm saying is those people are

apostates. You're

>> right.

>> Their life is ridden with lust.

And Jo and Jude says here in the text,

he says they are na they what they know

naturally is brute beast. Those things

they corrupt themselves. It literally

means that they cannot stop indulging.

Somebody that cannot control his fleshly

appetite's got a problem. You're

>> right.

>> I'm not talking about eating. I'm

talking about everything.

>> Right.

>> If you cannot control your appetite in

the flesh, you will be in a mess.

>> You're right.

>> Notice this tonight. Like I said, I know

this is not not fun preaching, teaching,

whatever you want to call it, but it's

still needed. Okay. Verse number 11.

Jude says, "Woe unto them." What does

that mean? Well, number one, he said

they're they're they're cursed,

>> right?

>> Woe unto them. For they've gone in the

way of Cain and ran greedily after the

heir of Balum for reward and perished in

the gains

of core. So he gives three more

examples. We've seen the employment of

these men up to this point, but now he's

given three more examples. First, his

examples were Israel and those

backsliding men or really those lost men

that came out of Egypt there and didn't

believe God. And the Bible says that God

killed them there in the wilderness. And

then there's the example of the angels

that fell from heaven. And then there is

the example there in the text earlier of

Sodom and Gomorrah. And now he gives

three more examples. He goes back to the

scripture again. Jude is trying to drive

this point home. Look, you need to know

who these people are,

>> right? You need to know what they look

like. I know it's not entertaining, but

the truth is tonight we're seeing more

of this than we've ever seen it before.

>> You say, "Preacher, I don't see it

much." Well, your eyes are closed.

>> That's right.

>> It's everywhere.

>> And listen to what he says. He says,

"Woe unto them for they have gone in the

way of Cain." Now, three things tonight

out of verse number 11. I'm going to

give you the big picture here and we'll

be done. All right. First of all, he

says that they have gone in the way of

Cain. Well, what is the description of

Cain? Well, Cain is the first child that

was born into this world.

Isn't that right?

>> Genesis chapter 3 and 4, Cain comes into

Genesis 3 · chapter mention

this world. And the Bible says that Adam

and Eve, they they conceive. Cain is

born. And then Abel, his brother, is

born. And out of that relationship, the

Bible says that Cain was a tiller of the

ground, and Abel was a keeper of the

sheep. And the days came that they were

to give a sacrifice for their sin. And

this was not a new thing, mind you, that

Cain had been told what to do just like

Abel had been told what to do because

Adam and Eve, God took that animal and

took the coats of skins meant an animal

had to die and he made coats of skins

for their covering. There was a blood

sacrifice for the very first sin that

was committed. And without the shedding

of blood, there's no remission. But Cain

knowing this fact, knowing and willfully

admitting the fact that he did not do

what God told him to do, he brought an

offering of the fruit of the ground of

the best. Amen. But let me say this, the

best you have to offer is not good

enough in the eyes of God. Abel, he

brought of the first ones of his flock.

And the Bible says that God was

displeased with Cain's offering, but he

was pleased with Abel's offering. And

so, because of the fact of that, Cain

became angry. And you know what

happened? They got in the field. And the

Bible says that Cain in his anger did

what? He slew his brother Abel.

>> Right?

>> And you say, "Preacher, what's the

example of that?" Well, I would say that

Cain, number one, he's self-righteous.

>> These apostates are self-righteous. And

you say, "How is that, preacher?" Well,

Cain wasn't willing to slay a lamb for a

sacrifice.

>> But he was willing to take out his

brother.

>> He was not willing to do things God's

way. And so rather than shed blood in

the prescribed manner, he decided he

would shed blood of his very own

brother. And you say, "What do you mean

by that?" Well, let me just say this.

Canaanism in the world in which we live

today, sheds the brethren blood,

brethren's blood on the altar instead of

dying to sell.

>> Right?

>> Did you hear what I just said?

Canaanism, what it looks like in this

day and time, sheds the brethren's blood

instead of dying to say,

>> right?

Say, "How is that, preacher?" Well, Cain

had a choice. He could get right with

God, or you know what he had to do, him

and his anger, he had to eliminate his

brother,

>> right?

>> What do we see in this world which we're

living in today?

>> It's a competition.

>> That's right.

>> It's self-righteousness. Those that can

get bigger or grow better or do

whatever, it's become a competition.

It's because people HAVE BECOME SO

SELF-RIGHTEOUS. That is a qualification

of apostasy.

>> Amen. You say, "How is that, preacher?"

Well, there's only two boys ON THE WHOLE

FACE OF THE EARTH. And you know what

Cain, his religion, instead of reaching

out, you know what he does? He slits his

throat. You're

>> right.

>> You know what? That's what this world's

religion does.

>> That's what liberal modernism does in

the church.

Amen.

>> All these churches in the world today

that we want to say, "Well, uh, we're

glad that, you know, our youngans are

going to church and we're glad that, you

know, they're in a place where they're

hearing the word of God, but you look at

the way they live and how they act.

They're doing nothing operate. They're

not operating at all by this book.

>> Come on.

>> Not even close." And we want to say,

"Well, they're in church."

>> Come on. And what they're doing is is

they're going down a a two-fold road to

hell from a church pew. Amen. Somewhere

just because there's a preacher up there

that says he's preaching a gospel, but

he's so self-righteous, he's so self-

consumed that really all he wants is the

money from the ministry.

>> You're right.

>> Amen.

>> Cain is self-righteous.

Listen to what John said about him in 1

John 3 and verse number 12. Verse number

11. And he said, "For this is the

message that you heard from the

beginning, that we should love one

another." Verse 12, "Not as Cain, who

was of that wicked one, and slew his

brother, and wherefore slew him, because

his own works were evil, and his

brother's righteous." You say,

"Preacher, there's no preachers in these

churches taking people's life." No, but

they're taking other men's wives by the

groves. You're

>> right.

>> I know it's not fun preaching tonight,

but I plan on preaching it. Amen. I'm

telling you, this crowd, Amen, that

wants to look like the world and act

like the world and allow you to come in

there and dress just like you do out in

the world, amen, which you shouldn't

dress that way out there anyway, you

come in there looking like the world and

the preacher, rather than preaching a

sermon, all he's doing is gaping at all

the women in the congregation.

>> You say, "Preacher, that ain't the same

thing." Let me tell you, it is, friend.

He They'll take your marriage out.

>> You're right.

>> And if they can't get your marriage,

they'll get your children. You're right.

>> I've known good people that go to them

type of churches. And what they'll do is

is they'll they'll let those people

older people, they got saved back when

the church was right with God. And and

and as the progression goes on, it just

gets a little farther and a little

farther and a little farther away from

the word of God. And and so what happens

eventually, they're approving a gospel

that's not biblical. They're approving

an operation of a church that's not

biblical. And so everybody in the church

starts looking like the world. And what

happens is that older generation gets

left on a curb somewhere. You want to

judge how a church is doing. You watch

how they're treating the elderly folk,

>> right?

>> Well, we got a church, man. We got all

these young people, but they ain't an

elderly person in sight.

>> Cuz they believe the truth,

>> right?

>> But all the younger ones just said,

"Well, we just they're not they're

holding us back."

>> And I've heard preachers say that. I had

to leave that church because it's

holding me back.

>> You know what? The ministry is not about

holding us back.

>> You're right.

>> You say, "Preacher, well, it might could

have been." It wasn't a spiritual thing.

You can tell by the way they said it.

All right.

>> It's different than going forward for

God and going forward in the flesh.

>> Right?

>> I tell you, somebody's going forward for

God, they ain't going to tell you no

church was holding them back.

>> That's right.

>> Look, I'm not on my soap box tonight.

I'm telling you the truth. All right?

this self-righteous attitude that they

have. They think that, you know, what I

do is good enough. You say, "Preacher,

how is that?" Well, what was Cain's

problem?

>> It was his works. He was not willing to

do what God said in order to be

accepted.

>> Said, "I want to look the way that I

look,

>> do the things that I do, and be just how

I am, and God will accept me that way if

he really says he loves me."

But let me say this, friend. And it's a

shame that so many of those men will

shed blood. You say, "Preacher, they

don't shed blood in this life." But

think about all the people that die and

go to hell.

>> Yes.

>> Because of their faulty gospel.

>> And what they'll do is is they'll shed

their blood. And the fact of the matter

is Christ's blood's already been shed.

You're

>> right.

>> He took the hard part.

>> Amen.

>> Just preach the word.

>> Live the word. Be what it says. Operate

how it says.

>> Yes.

>> He's self-righteous. They've gone in the

way of Cain. And that's that's that's

the way a lot of churches are operating

in this day and time.

Come as you are. Leave as you were.

Live however you want to live. Listen to

whatever you want to listen to. Drink

whatever you want to drink. Go wherever

you want to go. Be with whoever you want

to be with. If they don't appreciate

you, you just leave them and go find you

another one.

>> Let me just say this on that note right

there. Okay? Come on.

>> When your young ones are are courting in

their courting years, don't let them run

around with 10 or 15 different young

people.

>> Amen.

>> You say, "What do you mean by that?" I'm

saying when when they when your daughter

or your son has 10 different girlfriends

or 10 different boyfriends, you know

what you're doing? You're setting them

up for divorce.

>> You're right.

>> I know that don't sit well, but that's

the truth tonight. That's exactly what

it is. Cain was self-righteous. These

have gone in that way. They are

operating in the flesh. What they desire

is the way that they are following. Not

only you see self-righteous Cain, but

second of all here, and I need to move,

you see the self-indulgent Balum in

verse number 11. Woe unto them, for they

have gone in the way of Cain and ran

greedily after the error of Balum for

reward. Now, who is Balum tonight? I I

don't want to I ain't got time to preach

the whole story to you, but if you want

a brief overview, give you time to go

back and study it. Numbers chapter

number 22 through numbers chapter number

24 is the life of Balum. Balam is a

faulty prophet. He was a soothsayer that

lived in Israel. And the Bible says that

the king of Moab, Bailac, saw that

Israel was coming. They had just took

out the Amalachites. God had given them

victory. And what was happening is is

all of Israel's marching up that valley.

And and Bailac's getting wind of it. He

don't like it. He don't like what's

going on. He's afraid he's going to get

hurt. He's afraid his kingdom is going

to get taken from because Israel's

coming and like a bulldozer, they're

taking out everybody that comes with

him.

>> Right?

>> And so Bailac calls Balam unto himself,

tries to offer him money, offers him

money one time. Balam says, "I'm not

going to go. I don't I don't want that

money. I can't do that. God's blessed

them. There's nothing I can do about

it." What happens is he goes, those men

go back to Bailac. Come back. Bailac

makes him another offer. And Balam goes

to the Lord again and asks if he can go.

And God tells him he can go. But what he

was doing was he was testing him.

>> Y

>> and so you know what Balam goes and what

happens on the way that donkey Amen

rares up and throws him off

>> and out of that that donkey throwing him

off. The donkey speaks to him.

>> Speaks to him and the donkey asked him,

"Why'd you whip me these three times?"

You think I'm I'm not You think I'm

joking? It's in there. Amen.

>> Asked him, "Why'd you whip me these

three times?" And and the donkey says,

"Do you not see the man standing over

there?" And the Bible says that God

opened Balam's eyes and the angel of the

Lord was standing over there with his

sword drawn sword drone ready to take

his life. Why? Because he was heading to

help the enemy.

>> Right?

>> So, you know what happens? He goes on up

there to the enemy. God lets him go

against his will. Amen. And so he goes

up there and this story goes on. You can

read it all. Numbers 22- 24. He goes up

there and four different times he gets

seven off seven offerings, offers them

on the altar four different times. And

all four times he's going to curse the

children of Israel. God turns the curse

into a blessing. God's not going to

allow Balam to curse the children of

Israel. But every single time Balam

speaks, he can't speak a curse, but he

speaks a blessing over the children of

Israel. And out of that, children of

Israel are blessed over and over and

over again. And Bailac's getting mad

because he's paying him all this money.

And so now he's not winning anymore.

Well, instead of cursing them, Balam

decides to tell him, "All right, since

cursing them is not going to work, what

you need to do is you just need to make

them sinful."

You say, "Preacher, how is that?" Well,

Bailac was the king of Moab. And all

perversion stemmed out of Moab and

Ammon, those two uh incestuous sons of

Lot's children,

and all this perversion. They were

wicked as the devil. All types of

fornication stemmed out of those cities.

You say, "What is it, preacher?" Well,

Bailac caused the ladies of Moab to go

and to seduce the men of Israel. Numbers

25:es 1-3 tells the story. And so out of

that, what happens is Balam causes

Israel to sin and God's greed with them.

You can turn there and read it. Numbers

Numbers 25 · chapter mention

chapter 25. And you say, "Preacher, what

does that have to do with Balum?"

Well, Balam turned over the entire

group, the entire nation of Israel to

Moab for money. You're

>> right.

>> Listen to what the book of Revelation

says in chapter two about verse verse 14

about Balam sin.

The angel of the church in Pergamus is

speaking here in verse 14. He says, "But

I have a few things against thee,

because thou hast there them that hold

the doctrine of Balum, who taught Bailac

to cast a stumbling block before the

children of Israel, to eat things

sacrificed unto idols, and to commit

fornication."

Balam turned over the entire nation of

Israel under sin for money.

>> That's right.

>> And I called them out a little bit ago,

but I'm going to blister their high

again. this crowd. Amen. That's taking

people's money and selling them out.

>> There's a hot place in hell for them.

>> Amen.

>> And Balum, the Bible says, they've ran

greedily. They they HAVE RAN SO FULL of

lust. Balam was so self-indulgent,

DESIRING THAT MONEY, WANTING WHAT HE

COULD HAVE IN HIS FLESH. HE TURNED OVER

THE ENTIRE nation to sin. And they some

hierlands in this country, they'd turn

their whole church over if it meant it

double their paycheck.

>> You're right.

>> They'd turn the whole congregation over.

They'd bust it right down the middle. It

wouldn't matter. It wouldn't bother them

a bit to do that if they could get a

better paycheck.

>> You're right.

>> Amen.

>> I've heard preachers talk about that and

I It makes me sick to my stomach talking

about how they went to a place and they

didn't get enough money and so they

didn't take the church.

>> God ain't within a million miles of,

>> right? Amen. You go where God wants you

and he works out that

>> you're right.

>> You say, "What does that mean?" THEY'RE

APOSTATES.

>> AMEN.

>> They're repbates. AND YOU SAY,

"PREACHER, HOW DO WE IDENTIFY THEM?"

WELL, THEY'RE SELF-RIGHTEOUS LIKE CAIN.

They're consumed. Their ministry is

fruitless.

BUT THEY'RE SELF-INDULGENT LIKE BALUM.

ALL THEY'RE AFTER IS THE DOLLAR.

>> ALL THEY'RE after is a little more

money, A LITTLE NICER PLACE, A LITTLE

BETTER LIFESTYLE. THEY HAVE NO CARE FOR

THE church of God,

>> right?

>> They're self-indulgent.

Peter said this about the same subject.

Second Peter chapter 2

2 Peter 2 · chapter mention

verse number 15, which have forsaken the

right way and are gone astray, following

the way of Balum the son of Bosor, who

loved the wages of unrighteousness, but

was rebuked for his iniquity. The

dumbass speaking with man's voice,

forbade the madness of the prophet. GOD

HAD TO TAKE A donkey to tell him how

foolish he was.

>> I'm telling you, there's some men,

friend, that they they're going to live.

They're going to ride that train till

the day they die. And when they get

there, they're going to realize how big

of a mistake they make.

>> Amen.

>> The ministry is not a hierarchy.

It's not authority so we can have a

paycheck.

>> You're right.

>> Dr. Scott Cer said this. He said, "I

don't serve God for a paycheck in my

pocket or a plaque on the wall

>> or a pat on the back."

>> Right?

>> But Balam turned the whole crowd over.

I'll give you this and I'm done tonight.

They're self-righteous Cain in verse

number 11. They're self-indulgent Balum.

But then there's this man named Core.

And the Bible says that they ran

greedily after the error of of Balum for

reward and perished in the gains of

Korea.

Kora is found on the page in the pages

of scripture about numbers chapter 16.

Numbers 16 · chapter mention

His sin is he's found before that.

Kora's family is right along with Aaron

and Moses. They were the Levites. They

were the chosen ones to bear the

presence of God and to bear the ark of

God. And they were in charge of all the

holy things. And the Bible says in

numbers chapter number 16 that Kora gets

two men to come with him. Two men by the

name of Dayan and A Byron. And these two

men, they join forces with Kora and they

come unto Moses and they're going to

stand against him. They've got a bunch

of men with them about 250 I think the

scripture says. And they go and stand

against Moses and they say Moses you

really shouldn't take all this authority

to yourself.

And they say something like this. All

the people is holy.

All the people is holy. Let's turn there

and look at that. You need to see that.

Numbers chapter 16

Numbers 16 · chapter mention

number 16 verse number

verse number three.

And they gathered themselves together

against Moes. Moses, this is Kora, son

of Kohath, Dayan, and Abram, the sons of

Eli, and Anne, and uh son of Paleith,

sons of Reuben. Verse three, they

gathered themselves together against

Moses and against Aaron, and said unto

them, you take too much upon you, seeing

all the congregation are holy, every one

of them, and the Lord is among them.

Wherefore then lift you up yourselves

above the congregation

of the Lord. Notice verse four and five.

And when Moses heard it, he fell upon

his face, and he spake unto Core and

unto all his company, saying, Even

tomorrow the Lord will show who are his

and who is holy, and will cause him to

come near unto him, even him whom heath

chosen will he cause to come near unto

him. And this chapter reveals that these

men get up offerings. Kora decides these

men and Byram that they're going to get

up and offer and they're going to go and

offer this thing. And Moses, it comes

down to the wire. And the Bible says

Moses said, "The ones that are holy," he

said, "if these men are not who I say

they are." He he said, "These men are

who they say they are, let the ground

open up and swallow them whole."

>> Listen to what the Bible says in verse

number 30.

But if the Lord make a new thing, and

the earth open her mouth, and swallow

them up with all that appertain unto

them, and they go down quick into the

pit, then you shall understand that

these men had provoked the Lord. And it

came to pass, as he had made an end of

speaking all these words, that the

ground clave of sunder that was under

them, and the earth opened their mouth,

and swallowed them up, and their houses,

and all the men that have pertained unto

Kora, and all their goods.

You say, "Preacher, what is that?" Well,

they were rejecting the authority of

Moses, right?

>> You say, "What is that picture of?"

Well, Moses is the law.

>> Amen.

>> Moses was in charge of the children of

Israel. And this is especially

applicable in the day of anti-semitism

that we live in,

>> right?

>> They came and they said, "All right, we

we we've got a better plan, Moses. You

don't need you've made yourself higher

than everybody else.

You don't belong up there. You need some

help, Moses."

And so you know what they're doing?

They're trying to undermine the

authority right

>> of Moses.

>> And so what happens? Moses says, "All

right, he provoked the Lord. This ain't

what God wanted."

What happens out of that? Moses calls

them out in their sin. And what do they

do? They die. Jude says this. He said

that they are perished in the game

saying of core. And without going into a

whole lot of detail about this, what

that simply means is is that at the very

moment of their sin, you know what God

did?

And you know where they went? To hell.

>> Right?

>> Why is that? Because they undermine the

authority of Moses.

>> Right?

>> People in this day and time, the

Christians, and let me say this, this is

getting to be a more mainstream thing.

And I' I've seen it a little bit here of

late, and I don't know a whole lot, but

I do know this. Anybody that stands

against Israel is not my friend.

>> Right. Amen.

>> We've got so-called Christian people in

this country.

>> Come on, preacher.

>> That are landlasting Israel.

>> You're right.

>> I mean, absolutely plowing them up.

Look, now we know tonight Israel's

sinful.

>> We realize that. Okay, we know tonight

that they're not right with God because

if they were right with God, they'd get

saved. Somebody say, "Amen."

>> But God said, "I'll bless them that

bless thee, and I'll curse them that

curse thee." and all this crowd that

wants to divide Israel and say that that

does not apply in this day and time that

say that it is not right to honor Israel

anymore because when the church arrived

God did away with Israel. That's not the

way it works.

>> Amen.

>> Right.

>> Paul said in the book of Romans, he said

even at this present time, there's a

remnant according to the election of

grace. There is a remnant of Israel at

this point in time. You're

>> right.

>> Say, "How is that, preacher?" Well, when

Jesus comes back, that remnant is going

to come out.

>> You're right.

What do you mean by that, preacher? Kora

was against Moses and therefore he was

against the people of God. And these

people who are against Israel, you know

what they're doing? They're

self-exalting themselves.

Kora exalted himself, tried to make

himself like Moses. And what did it do?

It brought about a curse on him. And the

earth swallowed him up.

What people who are anti-Semitics are

doing, they are exalting their position

above Israel.

You know what they're doing when they do

that? They're trying to

minimize the ministry

of that book right there.

>> Amen.

>> Because if they can say that Israel is

no longer God's chosen people, they can

defile anything that's in this book.

>> Right?

The line that runs all the way through

the word of God is God's chosen people.

>> And who is the seed of that? Christ was

>> right.

>> And the Bible says in verse number 11,

they perished in the gain saying of

court. Now, people that will do this in

this day and time, apostates who will

undermine the authority of the word of

God. And a closer application would be

this. Those who would undermine the

authority of the man of God and the word

of God, they're not going to be the

ground's not going to open up and

swallow them. But what this says is is

that they are presently administered a

curse.

>> Right?

>> Notice it again in the text. The Bible

said they have perished in the gains

saying of core. Now that word perish

there's the same word perish in John

John 3:16

3:16. Bible says for God so loved the

world that he gave his only begotten son

that whosoever believeth him should not

perish but have everlasting life. Now,

let me ask you tonight,

does that perishing take place at death?

Or does that perishing take place the

moment a child is conceived? You know

what? They're conceived in death.

>> Right. Amen.

>> That perishing is not a physical death.

Salvation ain't got anybody out of a

physical death.

>> You're right.

>> Has it?

>> So, it's a spiritual death. What does

that tell us? It means that Kora in our

text it says he there perished in the

gang Sam Cor just as immediately as Kora

went into the earth. That means those

people that live this way they're dead.

>> You're right.

>> Not physically but spiritually. And it

means that they've gone past the point

of repentance.

What did the Bible say about Esau? Look,

I know this is a lot to process tonight.

All right, but I want you to hear me,

okay? What did the Bible say about Esau?

Hebrews chapter 12, I believe it is,

Hebrews 12 · chapter mention

said he found no place of repentance,

though he sought it carefully

>> with tears.

>> These people

have no place to repent.

>> Right?

>> When Moses pronounced the curse, you

know what? There was nothing could do.

The earth was going to swallow him up.

Why? Because he had rejected the word of

God and he had rejected the messenger

that gave it. You're

>> right. an apostate that stands against

the word of God. Mark my words. All

right? When they stand against the word

of God and the messenger that gives it,

you know what happens to them? If they

stand against it long enough, they'll

die standing against it.

>> Right?

>> And they'll be in hell, still standing

against it. What did the Bible say about

the rich man? He was in hell. What did

he say? Send Lazarus. He still thought

that Lazarus was his little

do what I want.

Don't work that way though, does it?

>> Right?

>> When you get there, it's over with.

>> Amen.

>> These men go that way and they're headed

that way willfully.

You say, "Preacher, what does that have

to do with me tonight?" Well, I hope

that you're none of those things.

>> Number one. Number two, I say this. I

hope that you're not being influenced

>> by this.

>> What do you mean? I'm saying that I

don't want you to be influenced by

somebody who self-righteous says, "Well,

you can just do whatever you want to and

you'll be okay."

>> I hope you're not influenced by somebody

who self-indulgent like Balum. Hey, come

along with me and our ministry will get

blessed. You can get a big name, put

your name on the side of a bus, have all

the money and all the all the blessings

that you want.

Ain't got much use for somebody puts

their name on a website or on the side

of a bus. That's right. Such and such

ministries.

>> Amen.

those who are self-righteous, those who

are self-indulgent, but those who are

self-exalting.

>> Yeah.

>> One preacher said this. He told told a

bunch of young preachers this, and I

think he's right. He said, uh, he said,

"If you ever have to put yourself out

there as a preacher, he said, "You know

what you'll have to do? You'll have to

keep yourself out there."

>> You're right.

>> But if God raises you up, nobody can

take you away.

>> You're right.

>> I've seen it down through the years. Men

will spend money and do all kinds of

things to push their platform.

>> You know what? The minute that they

stop, it just goes away.

>> You're right.

>> What happened to Kora? His platform

didn't last too long, did it?

>> It's serious tonight.

>> I know it's different. You say,

"Preacher, how can I approach the

invitation this time?" Well, I'll tell

you this. One of two things. If you're

if you're here tonight and this if

you're if you're dealing with this, all

right, you you're questioning

everything. Questioning what we believe,

questioning why we believe it,

questioning why I preach how I preach,

why why this church operates the way it

does. The best thing that you can do is

take your Bible and get on this altar

and open it and say, "God, show me."

>> You're right.

>> Lord, help me. What that man say to

Jesus? He said, "I believe. Lord, help

my unbelief." Yeah.

>> If you know you're saved and you know

you're you're you're tinkering with that

line, maybe you found somebody on TV and

you like to listen to him because he

tickles your ears, makes you feel good,

you ought to question that,

>> right?

>> You may be here tonight and and you're

in danger of being influenced by this,

by somebody that's around you. I'll say

this, you need to pray God will protect

you.

>> Amen.

>> This stuff will take you out.

>> Amen.

>> Modernism is destroying our good

churches, right?

Because the very second, this is the way

it is, brother Matt. The very second

somebody decides they don't want to

abide by what the Bible says about our

standards,

>> right?

>> They can go right down the road

>> Yeah.

>> to the next place they don't have it.

>> You're right.

>> And continue on like nothing ever

happened.

>> Amen.

>> And this is what they'll say. Well, it

feels the same.

>> You're right.

>> It feels exactly the same. I feel the

same spirit.

>> Come on.

>> Let me say this. You can have the same

feeling

on a country song.

>> Yes.

>> That you can have on a hymn.

>> Come on.

>> Oh, man. I'm telling you, I just really

have turned the tater patch over now.

>> We don't go off feelings.

>> You're right.

>> But you don't never hear no people say,

"Well, he preaches the same Bible." No,

he don't. Because if he did, you'd be

living the same way.

>> Amen.

Look, I know it's not pretty, but I'm

telling you, if we going to keep this

thing straight. You say, "Preacher, you

going to make our church so small, there

ain't going to be no life here.

>> I'm not worried about size." That's

>> right.

>> You know what I'm worried about? I'm

going to give an account to God one of

these days for what I tell you in this

bullpit.

>> Amen.

>> And if I can prevent somebody from

dying, somebody falling out in this

world, I'll do it every time.

>> Yeah.

>> Say, "Preacher, but it brings

casualties." No, not casualties.

spiritually. Yeah, people leave. But let

me let me say this to you. When they

leave, let me ask you, how does it feel

here?

>> You're right. COME ON.

>> WHAT'S CHANGED HERE?

>> We're still preaching the same Bible. I

still believe the SAME THING. I'M STILL

OPERATING THE SAME WAY. I DON'T KNOW

ABOUT YOU, BUT SOMETIMES THE HINDRANCES

HAVE TO GET OUT OF THE WAY.

>> RIGHT.

I would rather this thing be holy

>> with five people

>> then it be worldly

>> and have it

>> you're right

>> father I pray in Jesus name.

Lord, you know my heart tonight.

And God, I don't have a desire

to hinder anything or anybody.

But Lord, if we don't start drawing this

thing back to the Bible,

Lord, we're going to get to a place one

of these days when we look back at the

scriptures and like the people of God,

they read it and they wept because they

didn't even know what it meant.

And Lord, I pray there'd be some people

right now that make up their mind

that regardless of their own fancy,

their own desire,

the world's feds around them, Lord, that

they're going to decide to go with the

word of God.

Lord, I wouldn't want anybody to be like

Kora,

be perished, lost

because they decided to go against the

word of God.

I wouldn't want anybody to be like Balum

and love the wages of unrighteousness

more

than the people of God.

Lord, I wouldn't ever want to sell out

any of these church members.

And Lord, you know my heart tonight.

Lord, I don't want anybody to leave this

church. And Lord, I'm thankful that not

everybody that's left this church has

left out of the will of God.

But Lord, I pray for those that have.

God, you know where they are and you

know what they need.

And Lord, for those that left, Father,

and God, they were never going to truly

trust you, never going to involve

themselves in the work of God, and they

were never going to be saved. Lord, I

pray please,

please, God, that you wouldn't let it be

the last time for them to have a chance

to be saved.

But God, I'm mindful of the fact that

there are people that'll come in here

and then they'll leave and they'll never

get another opportunity.

But Lord, what would that make me if I

didn't tell them the truth while they're

here?

Lord, I pray you'd help us to be

obedient to you always,

submit to you.

And Lord, I pray for whatever needs

you're on this altar tonight, you'd meet

them. that I pray for our young people

you'd protect their mind from apostasy.

Lord, don't let them thank God that they

can just live and do however they want

to. Lord, those friends that want to

tell them to come along and it'll be all

right and the Lord will forgive you

later on. Lord, please don't let them

follow that crowd. Yeah. Amen.

>> And Lord, for these others, God, many I

think of, Lord, even my own family,

Lord, not in a good church or not in a

place where the Bible's being preached.

Lord, I pray please you deal with their

heart,

Lord. Cuz I know when you get closer

to you and closer to the scripture, you

can't stay in them places because it

just don't satisfy.

And Lord, I pray that you would help us

all to be thankful for what we have we

have here at Meadows. God, you've been

so good. And I bless your name for it.
