  7. Pastor Charlie Branch with a word from

  8. God.

  9. man looked at Jesus one day and Jesus

  10. asked him said do you believe and he

  11. said Lord I believe but you know he said

  12. after that he said help my unbelief

  13. and uh Curtis Hudson said this you may

  14. not agree with it but I think he was

  15. right about it he said wherever there's

  16. faith there's always going to be doubt

  17. accompanying it

  18. wherever there's faith there's always

  19. going to be a little bit of fear You

  20. say, "How is that, preacher?" You You

  21. said the Bible says, "Perfect love

  22. casteth out fear." Well, it doesn't say

  23. it gets rid of all of them.

  24. There are questions we have, things we

  25. don't know. We may never know on this

  26. side, but I tell you this, there's one

  27. that does know.

  28. >> We're headed to where he is. Amen. And I

  29. thank him for his mercy and his grace.

  30. And I appreciate Donna, you sister, you

  31. and brother Eric singing that for us

  32. this morning. The good touch of the Holy

  33. Spirit on it. Truth is, nobody could do

  34. for us what Jesus did. Amen. And I love

  35. that song. Thank the Lord for anointing

  36. it this morning. If you have a Bible, I

  37. invite you to turn with me to Luke's

  38. Gospel.

  39. Luke's Gospel, chapter 12.

  40. Just trying to be obedient to the Holy

  41. Spirit this morning.

  42. You find your place if you would stand

  43. on reference to the reading of God's

  44. word.

  45. Luke's Gospel chapter number 12

  46. verse number 13.

  47. Luke's Gospel chapter number 12 verse

  48. number 13. Brother Chris came on Friday

  49. and set all the clocks forward and uh

  50. bless his heart that would have give me

  51. an extra hour. Amen. But uh not going to

  52. have it today and so Amen. But uh

  53. anyway, he don't want me to preach too

  54. long. So anyhow, but uh we'll still get

  55. you out about 12:30. How's that? Amen.

  56. I'm just kidding. We'll be done

  57. directly, but I won't preach what God

  58. put on my heart. Amen. Luke 12:13,

    Luke 12:13

  59. Bible says, "And one of the companies

  60. said unto him,"Master,

  61. speak to my brother, that he divide the

  62. inheritance with me." And he said unto

  63. him, "Man, who made me a judge or a

  64. divider over you?" And he said unto

  65. them, "Take heed and be aware of

  66. covetousness,

  67. for man's life consisteth not in the

  68. abundance of things which he

  69. possesseth." And he spake a parable unto

  70. them, saying, The ground of a certain

  71. rich man brought forth plentifully. And

  72. he thought within himself, saying, What

  73. shall I do because I have no room where

  74. to bestow my fruits? And he said, "This

  75. will I do. I will pull down my barns and

  76. build greater. There will I bestow all

  77. my fruits and my goods. And I will say

  78. to my soul, soul, thou hast much goods

  79. laid up for many years. take thine

  80. knees, eat, drink, and be merry.

  81. Verse 20, the Bible says, "But God said

  82. unto him, thou fool, this night, this

  83. night, thy soul shall be required of

  84. thee. Then who shall those things be

  85. which thou hast provided?" And Jesus

  86. says in verse 21, "So is he that layeth

  87. up treasure for himself, and is not rich

  88. toward God. And he said unto his

  89. disciples, "Therefore I say unto you,

  90. take no thought for your life, what you

  91. shall eat, neither for the body, what

  92. you shall put on. The life is more than

  93. meat, and the body is more than

  94. raignment." Father, I ask you humbly

  95. this morning, God, as we've come before

  96. you, God, I don't know the need of this

  97. service, Lord. I don't know uh Lord, the

  98. need that's on anybody's heart. And God,

  99. I realize I don't really even know what

  100. I need myself. But God, you know what we

  101. need. And Lord, I've come seeking you

  102. this morning. God, I've come, Lord,

  103. desiring to hear from you. And God, I

  104. pray that you would speak to every

  105. heart. I pray uh God, that the Holy

  106. Ghost of God would speak, Lord, and move

  107. in every life. God, I pray that you

  108. would help us to be obedient to the word

  109. of God as it is shared. I pray you'd

  110. help us to preach with power and

  111. demonstration of the spirit this

  112. morning. God, I pray you give us

  113. uncction and liberty, God, to preach the

  114. gospel. And I ask you, Father, you'd

  115. help us to receive with meekness the

  116. engrafted word. God, I pray you'd open

  117. our eyes that we might behold wondrous

  118. things in thy law. And God, I pray we'd

  119. see no man save Jesus only. And God, I

  120. ask you, Lord, that you would be exalted

  121. and glorified as a result of this

  122. message. And Lord, I pray sinners would

  123. be convicted and drawn unto you. And

  124. Lord, for those that's not right with

  125. you. God, I pray, God, that they would

  126. get right with you before this service

  127. is over. And Lord, I pray for whatever

  128. fellowship needs to be restored, God. If

  129. there's any hindrance, Lord, here this

  130. morning, any malice or any anger, Lord,

  131. or strife, God, I pray you'd remove that

  132. this morning. And and God, I pray you'd

  133. work in the places, God, that we cannot

  134. see. Lord, I pray every heart, Lord,

  135. will open up to you the deepest parts.

  136. And God, I pray you'll do an internal

  137. work today that is eternal in every one

  138. of our lives. And God, we'll be sure to

  139. give you the thanks and all the honor

  140. and glory for what you do because we ask

  141. it in Jesus' name. And God's children

  142. said, "Thank you for standing. You can

  143. be seated this morning."

  144. When praying about this service this

  145. morning, the Lord directed my heart to

  146. this passage of scripture and really

  147. zeroed in on one little phrase found in

  148. these verses. Now, I'm going to deal

  149. with the entirety of what I've read to

  150. you this morning. Try to be as brief as

  151. I possibly can. But in verse number 20,

  152. the Bible says, "But God said unto him,

  153. thou fool," notice those next two words.

  154. This night,

  155. this night, look what he says. Thy soul

  156. shall be required of thee. Then who

  157. shall those things be which thou hast

  158. provided? I want to preach for a little

  159. while on that subject this morning, on

  160. this night. Now the truth is this

  161. morning we don't know what's going to

  162. befall us before nightfall comes. The

  163. Bible says in the book of Proverbs

  164. chapter number 27 and verse number one

  165. boast not thyself of tomorrow for thou

  166. knowest not what a day may bring forth.

  167. And James says this. He says for what is

  168. your life? It's even a vapor that

  169. appearth for a little time and then

  170. vanishth away. And we know this morning

  171. that we are not promised tomorrow. We're

  172. not promised tonight. Matter of fact,

  173. we're not promised this afternoon and we

  174. wasn't promised yesterday, but here we

  175. are this morning. And I want to say this

  176. to you. What matters is what you do with

  177. where you're at right now.

  178. >> What you do with Jesus in the life that

  179. you presently live. Now, there's many

  180. folk that you come across in a daily

  181. life that they are working to build a

  182. future. But let me say this. I'm not

  183. working to build a future. My future's

  184. already been built. Somebody say, "Amen.

  185. Heaven is my home." Amen. And just as

  186. sure as I'm standing before you, there's

  187. a mansion over there in glory that is

  188. built for me. And I've heard people say

  189. it and we understand what they mean.

  190. Well, Jesus, it took him six days to

  191. build the heavens and the earth and all

  192. that in them is, man, he's been gone for

  193. some 2,000 years building my mansion.

  194. And I understand that makes for good

  195. preaching, but it just ain't good

  196. biblically. Amen. What the matter of

  197. fact is when Jesus said, "I go to

  198. prepare a place for you," he said, "In

  199. my father's house are many mansions."

  200. He's not going to build them. Amen. But

  201. they're already presently there. Amen.

  202. And so, let me say this to you this

  203. morning. I'm not working to build a

  204. future. My future's already been built.

  205. Amen. But when I think about this life,

  206. I realize what matters in my life and in

  207. yours is what we do with the nasty now

  208. and now for Jesus. Amen. I can say this

  209. without a shadow of a doubt this

  210. morning. That in our flesh, it is a

  211. painful and a miserable trial that we

  212. have to walk in. But aren't you thankful

  213. that we don't have to just walk it in

  214. the flesh. Amen. But we can walk in the

  215. fullness of the spirit. And the Bible

  216. says if we walk in the spirit, we'll not

  217. fulfill the lust of the flesh. Amen. And

  218. so we can have comfort today knowing

  219. that our future is settled. But also in

  220. this life, we can know that our future

  221. here can be fruitful

  222. >> for the glory of God. And Jesus in this

  223. chapter here, he's presented with a

  224. problem. And I want to lay four things

  225. on your heart this morning. And I'll

  226. give you the four here. There's the

  227. problem, the principle, the parable, and

  228. the poverty that's mentioned in our text

  229. this morning. And when you come to this

  230. chapter in Luke's gospel, chapter number

  231. 12, Luke is recording here. Jesus is

  232. speaking to a multitude of people

  233. according to verse number one that

  234. there's an innumerable multitude in so

  235. much that they trod upon one another.

  236. And Jesus begins to preach unto them in

  237. the text and give them the exhortation

  238. of this scripture. and he's dealing with

  239. the leaven of the Pharisees. You notice

  240. that in verse number one, he describes

  241. it as hypocrisy. And now we know that

  242. this subject we're going to deal with

  243. this morning concerning wealth, it was

  244. the number one problem for the

  245. Pharisees. They thought that their

  246. righteousness equated material, physical

  247. wealth. But let me say this to you this

  248. morning. You can own all the you can

  249. have all the money and own all the stock

  250. and own all the real estate and still be

  251. just as wicked as the devil himself.

  252. Amen. It has nothing to do with your

  253. wealth. It makes you righteous. Amen.

  254. I'll say this THIS MORNING. YOUR WEALTH

  255. doesn't have to make you unrighteous.

  256. Somebody say amen right there. If God

  257. has blessed you, he didn't say money is

  258. the root of all evil. He said the love

  259. of money is the root of all evil. Amen.

  260. And so your money doesn't have to make

  261. you amen unrighteous before God. But if

  262. you'll take that thing and use it as God

  263. has blessed you, he can bless you in

  264. that in your life. Amen. And I'll say

  265. this, this preacher is not against you

  266. having things, but I am against things

  267. having you. Somebody say, "Amen."

  268. >> And Jesus in this text, you note number

  269. one here as he's given this message,

  270. there's a man that comes to him in verse

  271. 13, the Bible says in one of the company

  272. said unto him, "Master, speak to my

  273. brother that he divide the inheritance

  274. with me." So obviously there may have

  275. been some sort of family situation, a

  276. death in the family. I don't know. The

  277. scripture doesn't tell us but it does

  278. tell us that his this brother has come

  279. and evidently his brother is there with

  280. him. These two brothers there and they

  281. speak to Jesus and they say master speak

  282. to my brother that he divide the

  283. inheritance with me. And now I want to

  284. say this this morning. We a lot of times

  285. in our life try to invite Jesus into

  286. situations where he should have been

  287. invited a long time ago. Amen. He should

  288. have been invited when we had a problem

  289. that was just dealt with on a moral

  290. sense. But now we've got a bigger

  291. problem and now we want to handle it.

  292. Amen. Let me say this. Jesus is not

  293. obligated to fix any of our moral

  294. issues.

  295. >> Amen. That's right. Listen to what he

  296. says in verse number 14. And he said

  297. unto him, "Man, who made me a judge or

  298. divider over you?" That word divider

  299. simply means an arbitrator.

  300. He says, "Look, son, it ain't my duty to

  301. fix your problems for you." Amen. Now, I

  302. firmly believe, Amen. If it matters to

  303. you, it matters to the Lord. Amen. Let

  304. me say this to you. There's a lot of

  305. things we think matter that really don't

  306. matter. Amen. Let me say this. This the

  307. stuff in this life. Jesus said, "Lay not

  308. up for yourselves treasures upon the

  309. earth." Amen. Remember why he said not

  310. to lay them up on the earth. He said,

  311. "Where moth and rust doth corrupt and

  312. thieves break through and steal." Amen.

  313. Everything in this life's temporary.

  314. >> Amen.

  315. >> Amen. It's borrowed. And you know what?

  316. It don't matter how much value some man

  317. or some lady puts on what you have. In

  318. the eyes of God, it's worthless. That's

  319. right.

  320. >> Amen. And I'm going to say more about

  321. that as the message goes on this

  322. morning. But Jesus here, the problem is

  323. that there's division in the family

  324. because the inheritance is not being

  325. divided. And so obviously the testator

  326. here in this family that was entrusted

  327. with keeping up with the books of the

  328. inheritance that this man left behind

  329. obviously did not want to divide the

  330. inheritance as the will had stated. But

  331. Jesus says, why does that really matter?

  332. Let me ask you this morning, why does

  333. the temporal things in this life really

  334. matter to us?

  335. Because we're selfish.

  336. >> You say, "Preacher, but I didn't get my

  337. fair share." Oh, no.

  338. There's your problem. See, if you got

  339. what was fair, you'd be in hell now.

  340. >> And the truth is, anything outside of a

  341. blessing from God. Amen.

  342. >> And you say, "Preacher, WELL, I DIDN'T

  343. GET MY FAIR SHARE." WELL, LET me just

  344. remind you, Jesus didn't get treated

  345. fair either when he went to the cross.

  346. Amen. He took your sin, shame, and

  347. suffering on Calvary. Amen. And died in

  348. your place so that you could have life.

  349. I don't know about you, but that's the

  350. most unfair thing I've ever seen in my

  351. life. I'm saying that God of all glory,

  352. who was perfect AND HOLINESS AND

  353. RIGHTEOUSNESS, WOULD DIE IN A

  354. SINNER'SSTEAD. THERE'S NOTHING MORE

  355. unfair than that.

  356. >> When you have a problem in your family,

  357. it's good to remember that. Amen.

  358. the problem. Look what he says. Who made

  359. me a judge or a divider over you? They

  360. thought Jesus was going to fix their

  361. issues. But you see, Jesus sees the

  362. deeper problem here. He doesn't only we

  363. we we we see the problem of the surface

  364. in the text. And you know, we could talk

  365. about that for a while, but I want to

  366. get to the message this morning. Notice

  367. the principle here. Second of all, in

  368. verse 15, and he said unto them, take

  369. heed

  370. and beware of what? Covetousness. Now

  371. what is covetousness? It's desire to

  372. have that which is not ours. Amen.

  373. Covetousness in the marriage world is

  374. adultery. It's desire to have another

  375. spouse that does not belong to us. Amen.

  376. Covetousness in the physical world is

  377. that love of money, that lust of mammon.

  378. Amen. And here in the text, he says,

  379. "Take heed and beware of covetousness."

  380. Look at what he says. For a man's life

  381. consisteth not in the abundance of

  382. things which he possesseth. Now the

  383. problem with this boy right here in the

  384. text, he says to speak to my brother

  385. that he divide the inheritance with me.

  386. The problem in the text is is that he he

  387. put the inheritance before his brother.

  388. You say, preacher, well the other

  389. brother wasn't being fair with him.

  390. Well, you know what the Bible teaches

  391. about that? Jesus said, if a man smite

  392. you, what did he say? He said, you turn

  393. and let him smite the other cheek. I

  394. know we don't like that. Amen, preacher.

  395. I'm I'm going to ball my fist up and

  396. give him what he deserves. Well, you'll

  397. find out you might get something hold of

  398. something you can't handle. Amen.

  399. That's exactly right. And what I'm

  400. saying is Jesus gives the principle here

  401. things in this life. THERE ARE CERTAIN

  402. things it's not worth dividing over.

  403. There's certain things that's not worth

  404. being bitter over. There's certain

  405. things that's not worth being afflicted

  406. over because in the grand scheme of

  407. eternity, it makes no difference.

  408. >> Amen. And let me just say this to you

  409. this morning. The truth is your family

  410. might be perfect and you might get along

  411. at all times and you say, "Preacher,

  412. well that'll never happen to me." Let me

  413. just say this. If you live in this world

  414. any amount of time, you will be treated

  415. unfairly to your own liking.

  416. >> Amen. You will be treated unfairly, you

  417. will feel like you're treated unfairly.

  418. Matter of fact, most time you probably

  419. ain't been. It's just how you feel.

  420. Amen. Somebody say amen right there.

  421. Jesus says you need to be aware of

  422. covetousness.

  423. He says, "You want something, number

  424. one, that you don't have, number two,

  425. that you don't need."

  426. Let's just be real this morning. We're

  427. all clothed. Thank God for that. There's

  428. some churches that can't get that down.

  429. Amen. But we're all clothed. Amen. And

  430. we're in our right mind and we're fed.

  431. Amen. Most of you eat breakfast this

  432. morning. And some of us didn't cuz we

  433. couldn't preach if we did. Amen. But

  434. what I'm saying is God's been better to

  435. us than we deserve.

  436. >> Amen.

  437. >> Why do we want to argue over petty

  438. things that make no difference for

  439. eternity? Jesus said, "Beware of

  440. covetousness." Why is this principle

  441. shared? Because man's purpose does not

  442. consist in his possessions.

  443. Look what he says. For a man's life

  444. consisteth not in the abundance of

  445. things which he possess possess

  446. possesseth the platform of our life. So

  447. many people they make their platform out

  448. of their possessions.

  449. They make their purpose, what they own,

  450. what they do, their business, their

  451. possessions. That is their platform for

  452. life. All right. And the thing is, the

  453. reason why we're that way is because

  454. that's the American dream. Amen. Let me

  455. say this. For 95% of people, the

  456. American dream turned into the American

  457. nightmare real fast. Amen. And you'll

  458. find out that you'll come up a day late

  459. and a dollar short every time when you

  460. follow that dream. Amen. Jesus said,

  461. "Beware of covetousness." He said,

  462. "Because your life, the purpose of your

  463. life is not to have things." The purpose

  464. of your life is not to get as big as you

  465. can and be as broad as you can and have

  466. as much influence as you can. You say,

  467. "Preacher, but Jesus wanted to influence

  468. the whole world." Let me remind you

  469. something about Christ. When Christ came

  470. to this world, you know what? When

  471. people were reaching out to him, you

  472. know what he did? He withdrew himself.

  473. All these influencers in this day and

  474. time, putting themselves out there on

  475. every platform known to man, they

  476. broadcast theirel. They broadcast their

  477. platform so that you can buy their

  478. product. Amen. And they're robbing you

  479. blinds what they're doing. Amen. You

  480. say, "Well, Jesus wanted to propagate

  481. the gospel to the whole world." Well,

  482. let me ask you this. Why did he get 12

  483. men to do that for?

  484. Jesus is God. He could have made a loud

  485. speaker that spoke to the whole world

  486. and spoke to every person on planet

  487. Earth and said, "I'm God." But you know,

  488. that's not what he wanted to do because

  489. Jesus, what's the Bible say? He came as

  490. a servant.

  491. >> Oh man, we don't like that mentality, do

  492. we?

  493. >> Amen. Where's Where's the revival of

  494. servantthood at in our churches in this

  495. dead time? People that are willing to do

  496. the baser jobs, the things that don't

  497. get recognized. Amen. The things that

  498. don't get a standing ovation from

  499. everybody that's around. I'm saying we

  500. need some servants.

  501. >> The reason why we don't have service is

  502. because people are full of this very

  503. thing Jesus was talking about. It's

  504. covetousness. We want the platform. And

  505. we think it's going to be possessions

  506. that gets us there. Just like the story

  507. I told in Sunday school this morning,

  508. your riches in this church, it does not

  509. matter how big your offering is, that

  510. does not mean you have control over what

  511. this church does.

  512. >> Amen. And you say, "Preacher, will I

  513. withdraw my offering?" Well, God can put

  514. in three times as much as you without

  515. you.

  516. >> Amen. That's exactly right. This morning

  517. and so just get it out of your mind this

  518. morning. The principle is your life,

  519. your abundance does not constitute your

  520. life. Notice the parable this morning. I

  521. want to preach here for a few minutes. I

  522. notice in the text, the Bible says in

  523. verse 16, "And he spake a parable unto

  524. them, saying, "The ground of a certain

  525. rich man brought forth plentifully." So

  526. you notice in verse 16 his supplement.

  527. Obviously, this guy is a farmer. He's

  528. got much land. And this land was not

  529. only He didn't only have much land, but

  530. he had much fruit that came from this

  531. land. This land was very fruitful. Been

  532. blessed by the Lord God of heaven. Let

  533. me say this this morning. It doesn't

  534. matter how much fertilizer, how much

  535. seed you put in the ground, God's got to

  536. send the rain. Amen. And if you've got

  537. anything in this life, let me put it

  538. this way. God has given it to you. Amen.

  539. You didn't get anything on your own. You

  540. say, "Preacher, well, I work for it

  541. myself." Well, friend, you couldn't have

  542. worked for it if God hadn't given you

  543. ability to work for it. Amen. I'M SAYING

  544. GOD HAS GIVEN it to you. And this rich

  545. man, his land brought forth plentifully,

  546. so you needed see his supplement in

  547. verse 16. Notice his sentiment. In verse

  548. 17, and he thought within himself,

  549. saying, "What shall I do because I have

  550. no room where to bestow my fruits?"

  551. He said, "I He said, "I brought in so

  552. much, I ain't even got enough room for

  553. all of it." Man, I'm telling you, I'm

  554. thankful God's able to bless that way,

  555. aren't you, man? He can open the windows

  556. of heaven. We talked about it this

  557. morning. He can open the windows of

  558. heaven and pour you out a blessing.

  559. Amen. So big you can't receive it. Amen.

  560. And I notice not only his supplement,

  561. his sentiment. He's he's thinking about

  562. what am I going to do? Notice not only

  563. his sentiment, but notice his

  564. development in verse 18. And he said,

  565. "This will I do. I will pull down my

  566. barns and build greater, and there will

  567. I bestow all my fruits and my goods."

  568. Now, you say, "Preacher, what's the

  569. problem?" Well, there ain't no problem

  570. up to this point. What he's doing is is

  571. just the natural course of life. God has

  572. blessed him. And so, in order to take

  573. care of what he's been given, he says,

  574. "All right, I got to pull my barns down

  575. and build greater. That way, I can keep

  576. what God's blessed me with." AND THERE'S

  577. NO problem with that. The problem

  578. doesn't show up to the next verse.

  579. >> Let me say this to you this morning.

  580. God's not against you having things.

  581. God's not against you having nice things

  582. in your life. But I I want to remind you

  583. this morning, that is not the primary

  584. goal of life. That's not the purpose why

  585. we're here. If God allows you to have a

  586. little money and have some nice things

  587. along the way, you ought to say thank

  588. him for you ought to bless his name for

  589. it because there's people all over the

  590. world that's starving to death just

  591. looking for their next meal because

  592. they've got no way to make ends meet.

  593. I'm saying you ought to lift your eyes

  594. under the heavens and bless the Lord for

  595. how good he's been to you. CUZ I CAN

  596. TELL YOU THIS FOR MYSELF THIS MORNING. I

  597. feel like this man, HE'S GIVEN ME SO

  598. MUCH MORE THAN I EVER COULD HAVE ASKED

  599. FOR. THE FIELD THAT HE PUT ME IN, IT'S

  600. BROUGHT FORTH MORE THAN I EVER THOUGHT

  601. IT WOULD. I BLESS HIS NAME FOR IT. HE'S

  602. BEEN GOOD. AMEN.

  603. >> But you see, none of that was the

  604. problem. His supplement wasn't the

  605. problem. His sentiment wanting to build

  606. bigger barns, his development, doing the

  607. doing the project, none of that's the

  608. problem. But the problem comes in verse

  609. number 19.

  610. We've seen his development in verse

  611. number 18, but notice his retirement

  612. in verse 19. Look what he says. And I

  613. will say to my soul,

  614. soul, thou has much good laid up for

  615. many years. Take thine knees, eat,

  616. drink, and be merry. Now, the problem in

  617. this text is, and there's a lot of

  618. things we could allude to here in the

  619. text, and I may some, but but what I

  620. want to point out to you here in his

  621. retirement, there's three things that he

  622. miscalculates here in the text. You say,

  623. 'What do you mean he miscalculates? The

  624. Bible says that it brought forth

  625. plentifully and he has abundance. Well,

  626. notice what the Bible says in verse 19.

  627. And I will say to my soul, number one, I

  628. will say this. He miscalculated his

  629. treasure.

  630. Look what the Bible says. Soul, thou

  631. hast much goods. Now, you say, preacher,

  632. well, the Bible says that he does have

  633. much goods. Well, I would agree with you

  634. with that. Amen. It does say that he has

  635. much goods. But the problem is is the

  636. emphasis

  637. on those goods. You see, he

  638. miscalculated what those goods was going

  639. to do for him. You see, what you have is

  640. not going to sustain you.

  641. Amen. The truth is, you could sit you

  642. could be locked in a supermarket for the

  643. rest of your life and starve to death.

  644. >> That's exactly right. if you don't have

  645. the ability to partake.

  646. Notice this. He didn't only miscalculate

  647. his treasure, but he miscalculated his

  648. time. Notice verse 19. Thou hast much

  649. goods laid up for what?

  650. Many years.

  651. He's got all this abundance. And what

  652. he's thinking is is, man, this is enough

  653. to keep me just as long as I want to

  654. live off of it. It's enough to do what I

  655. want it to do for the rest of my life.

  656. And I won't have to plant that field

  657. again. I won't have to go back out there

  658. and plow it. I won't have to weed it. I

  659. won't have to water it. Amen. Take care

  660. of it. It's enough for many years.

  661. But here's where the real problem comes

  662. in. He's miscalculated his treasure. Let

  663. me say this. What we think is much in

  664. this life is nothing to God.

  665. >> Let me remind you that, okay? The reason

  666. why his treasure was mis miscalculated

  667. because what we think is big in the eyes

  668. of God's nothing. And that can be gone

  669. in just a moment. You could ask some of

  670. those men that lived back in the

  671. depression days how their millions

  672. disappeared overnight. They would tell

  673. you, "Don't matter how much you have, it

  674. ain't enough."

  675. >> And that's the truth in this day and

  676. time. It's still true.

  677. >> It don't matter how much you have, it

  678. ain't enough.

  679. >> I know we don't like to hear that. You

  680. say, "Preacher, you you're not helping

  681. me this morning. Preacher, I work hard

  682. and it's just I know it's not enough.

  683. You don't have to remind me of that."

  684. Amen. Here's the truth about it this

  685. morning. The mindset's the problem.

  686. Notice the text. He miscalculated his

  687. treasury. He miscalculated his time. He

  688. thinks that he's got all these many

  689. years left to live it out. But I tell

  690. you what he really miscalculated. He

  691. miscalculated his trust. Look what the

  692. Bible said in verse 19. Thou is much

  693. goods laid up for many years. Look what

  694. he says. Take thine ease. Eat, drink,

  695. and be merry. Now you say, "Preacher,

  696. what does that have to do with his

  697. miscalculating his trust?" Well, where

  698. is his trust at?

  699. What he's got stored up. He's looking at

  700. them barns that's going up and he's

  701. thinking about all the thousands of

  702. thousands of dollars of crops that's

  703. going to be stored in there. And I can

  704. just put that over there and live off of

  705. it the rest of my days and I've got all

  706. these years and it's going to take care

  707. of me for the rest of my life and that's

  708. all I'm going to need.

  709. The reason it's quiet this morning is

  710. because that's the way a lot of people

  711. are, their 401k. Amen. I've got it put

  712. up over here and it's going to be just

  713. enough for me to live off of. Now, I'm

  714. not against retirement this morning. But

  715. notice what happens in this text. He

  716. said, "Take thine knees, eat, drink, and

  717. be merry." You say, "Where is the

  718. problem in this text?" Well, notice what

  719. he says in the first part of the verse,

  720. verse 19. and I will say to my soul, you

  721. know, the problem was not the works that

  722. he did to get the blessing. The problem

  723. was not the wealth that he attained out

  724. of that work. The problem was his will.

  725. He was operating off what he wanted to

  726. do. And the thing is, what you want,

  727. what I want is inevitably going to fall

  728. through one of these days. Your plans

  729. are always going to have to take second

  730. seat to God.

  731. Sir, you may not ever live to see that

  732. retirement come to pass.

  733. >> Ma'am, you may not ever live to see that

  734. retirement bless you in this life. And

  735. I, like I said, I'm not against that. I

  736. think you ought to prepare for the

  737. future. You ought to take care of your

  738. family if something happens to you and

  739. you leave this world. Your family ought

  740. to be taken care of when you're gone.

  741. >> I'm all for that. But the problem is not

  742. when you're gone. The problem is what

  743. you do with it when you're here.

  744. >> This man trusted in it. He said, "I

  745. don't need nothing else." His will was

  746. this. Well, I've got all that I need.

  747. What can come at me now?

  748. You know what? That's what sinners are

  749. doing

  750. every day of their life. They're saying,

  751. "Well, I've got my good works piled up.

  752. They're going to outweigh the bad. I'm

  753. just going to trust that."

  754. >> Those that know that they're not going

  755. to make it. Well, I'm just going to live

  756. out my life here and make the best I can

  757. here and live to the best of my ability

  758. and then I'll just die and go back to

  759. the dust.

  760. But the truth is what you're trusting in

  761. makes a difference.

  762. You better be careful about

  763. miscalculating your trust. Notice this.

  764. We see his retirement in verse 19, but

  765. notice his announcement in verse 20. You

  766. see, that very same day, he said to

  767. himself, "Well, I've got a lifetime

  768. supply of everything that I need." A

  769. voice came to him

  770. and spoke to him. And look what your

  771. Bible says. But God said unto him, "Thou

  772. fool,

  773. this night

  774. thy soul shall be required of thee." The

  775. announcement comes from heaven. God

  776. says, "You're a fool."

  777. I don't know about you, but that's harsh

  778. words from God.

  779. YOU SAY, "PREACHER, BUT HOW COULD HE BE

  780. A FOOL? HE'D WORKED HARD AND HE HAD

  781. BUILT BARNS SO he could preserve

  782. himself." Let me say this. People that

  783. are doomsday prepping and building

  784. bunkers and holes and hollers ACROSS

  785. THIS LAND, THEY'RE FOOLS.

  786. Why is that?

  787. BECAUSE THIS LIFE'S INEVITABLY GOING TO

  788. END.

  789. YOU MIGHT be protected from World War

  790. II, but let me tell you something. One

  791. of these days, your heart's going to

  792. quit beating, friend,

  793. >> but a whole lot better than a bunker is

  794. the will of God. Somebody say amen right

  795. there. I'M SAYING YOU'RE WASTING YOUR

  796. TIME LAYING UP THINGS in this life. You

  797. got to understand something. The

  798. announcement one of these days is GOING

  799. TO COME. YOU SAY, "WHAT IS IT,

  800. PREACHER?" WELL, GOD SAID, "Thou fool,

  801. this night, tonight, your soul's going

  802. to be required of you.

  803. I want to give you three things right

  804. here and I'm done.

  805. This night,

  806. you know, for this man,

  807. this punishment was ours. This this

  808. death, this this this event coming to

  809. him was just hours away.

  810. I wonder what's hours away from you.

  811. I wonder what's minutes away from you,

  812. >> from me.

  813. >> You say, "Preacher, what is it?" Well,

  814. let me just give you a a a u I guess a

  815. three-point sermon

  816. on what he lost. Notice this. First of

  817. all, and the worst thing, verse number

  818. 20. This night, this night, number one,

  819. that night he lost his soul.

  820. Look what the Bible says. Thou fool,

  821. this night, thy soul shall be required

  822. of thee. What does this say? This means

  823. this man was not saved. Number one, his

  824. soul was going to be required of him.

  825. What was that? has death coming to take

  826. him away. You know what? Death's coming

  827. for all of us.

  828. >> Death. You say, "Preacher, well, I'm

  829. saved." Well, you still going to die one

  830. of these days

  831. >> if the rapture don't take place.

  832. >> You're still going to go to a grave. And

  833. you SAY, "PREACHER, WHAT'S THE TRUTH?"

  834. WELL, THIS MAN HAD invested his life in

  835. his wealth and in his work. And and it

  836. seemed as though he was blessed. HE HE'S

  837. GOING TO BUILD HIS BIGGER BARNS. He's

  838. developing. Things are happening. BUT

  839. ALL IN ONE MOMENT, IT'S ALL GONE.

  840. And you know what the thing that he

  841. infailed to he failed to invest in was

  842. the most expensive thing that he had.

  843. What does the Bible say? What shall it

  844. profit a man if he gain the whole world

  845. >> and lose his own soul?

  846. This man had spent a lifetime building

  847. his wealth, a lifetime building his

  848. repertoire, a lifetime building his

  849. reputation amongst people in the

  850. community as being a wealthy man and a

  851. working man and a a man that HAS GIVEN

  852. HIS LIFE to his labor.

  853. But in a moment, you know what? He lost

  854. the most valuable thing he had.

  855. >> More valuable than his barns, more

  856. valuable than his bread, more valuable

  857. than anything he had around his table,

  858. even his own family. He lost his soul.

  859. HE SAID, "THOU FOOL, THIS NIGHT SHALL

  860. THY SOUL be required of thee." Let me

  861. say this. A man may voice his plans for

  862. his life, but God's voice gave him life.

  863. Oh, did you hear me, church? A man may

  864. voice his plans for his life, but God's

  865. voice gave him life and is the final

  866. authority concerning his living.

  867. You can say and do a lot of things in

  868. this life, but there's only one that

  869. determines WHEN IT'S ALL SAID AND DONE,

  870. AND THAT'S GOD.

  871. >> GOD SAID, "SON, you're this night your

  872. soul IS GOING TO BE REQUIRED of thee."

  873. OH FRIEND, I'D HATE to know that I'd

  874. spent my life trying to get an

  875. education, going to college for four,

  876. six, eight, or 10 years AND GETTING A

  877. DEGREE AND THEN SPENDING THE REST OF MY

  878. LIFE WORKING hours upon hours upon HOURS

  879. TO BUILD A REPUTATION AND BUILDING a

  880. retirement. And we get to the end OF ONE

  881. OF THESE DAYS AND REALIZE THAT I FAILED

  882. TO INVEST IN THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN

  883. THIS LIFE, AND THAT IS MY SOUL. MY NEVER

  884. DYING SOUL.

  885. WE'LL SPEND OUR LIFE AND SPEND OUR LAST

  886. DOLLAR GIVING OURSELVES TO THE WORLD.

  887. WHEN GOD SAYS, "IF YOU'LL JUST COME UNTO

  888. ME, I'LL GIVE YOU RICHES ETERNAL AND

  889. GRACEAL, THINGS THAT MONEY CANNOT BUY.

  890. THINGS IN ETERNITY WILL NEVER EXPRESS TO

  891. YOU AND I." GOD WANTS TO GIVE IT TO YOU,

  892. BUT YOU'RE TOO BUSY.

  893. >> AMEN.

  894. >> Investing in yourself.

  895. He lost his soul. Let me say this

  896. this night.

  897. Let me ask you, if

  898. death was to come to your house tonight,

  899. would you lose your soul?

  900. You say, "Preacher, well, I'm saved."

  901. Well,

  902. comes on from there.

  903. Notice also he didn't only lose his

  904. soul, but he left his supply behind.

  905. Look what the Bible said.

  906. This night thy soul shall be required of

  907. thee. Notice this. Then who shall those

  908. things be?

  909. All those things, all that supply, all

  910. them barns and all that bread and all

  911. that money AND ALL THAT WEALTH of wheat

  912. AND CORN AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT WAS

  913. STORED UP. He lost his soul. Now you

  914. know what he's doing? He's leaving all

  915. of that stuff behind that he piled up.

  916. Solomon knew very well about this.

  917. Ecclesiastes chapter number three, he

  918. talks about it. He says, "It's the

  919. vanity of vanities that I'm going to

  920. work my entire life to build up this

  921. great wealth, and the man that's going

  922. to come behind me is not even going to

  923. care."

  924. You say, "Preacher, well, I want to

  925. leave my children something behind."

  926. I'll tell you what you need to leave

  927. them. You need to leave them a Bible

  928. >> full of prayers and

  929. >> prayers and notes in it. A a notebook

  930. FULL OF PRAYER REQUESTS and and and and

  931. THE DESIRE FOR THEIR SALVATION. You need

  932. to LEAVE THEM SOMETHING THEY CAN TAKE

  933. WITH THEM INTO ETERNITY. NOT WEALTH, NOT

  934. A 401K, NOT MILLIONS IN THE BANK. You

  935. need to LEAVE THEM SOMETHING THAT'S

  936. BIGGER THAN ALL THAT. YOU NEED TO LEAVE

  937. THEM A SUPPLY OF ETERNAL THINGS, NOT

  938. earthly things.

  939. You can leave them enough money for them

  940. to live the rest of their life and live

  941. it three or four times over. And you

  942. know what they'll do? They'll blow it

  943. within the next two years.

  944. >> Well, it's funny, but it's the truth.

  945. >> Nobody's going to appreciate what you

  946. work for the way you do.

  947. >> Here's what you need to remember this

  948. morning. You need to leave them

  949. something that they can't lose.

  950. >> Oh, friend, hear the preacher this

  951. morning. You need to leave them a

  952. wealth, friend, that they cannot lose.

  953. Amen. I'm thankful, bless his name, that

  954. there is an eternal WEALTH FOR THE

  955. CHILDREN OF GOD. And aren't you thankful

  956. for mamas and daddies and grandmas AND

  957. GRANDPAS AND CHURCH SAINTS THAT HAVE

  958. LEFT US A WEALTH BEHIND SO THAT WE CAN

  959. WORSHIP, SO THAT WE CAN KNOW THE

  960. BLESSING OF KNOWING GOD AND FEELING THE

  961. HOLY GHOST IN THIS DAY AND TIME. THOSE

  962. PEOPLE WERE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT MONEY,

  963. BUT THEY WERE CONCERNED ABOUT THE

  964. MINISTRY. THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY

  965. SPIRIT OF GOD IN YOUR LIFE AND MINE. I'M

  966. SAYING FRIEND, THEY DIDN'T LEAVE A

  967. SUPPLY OF MONEY, BUT THEY LEFT US TO

  968. SUPPLY THE MASTER. BLESS HIS NAME. AMEN.

  969. THEY LEFT US THE WORD OF GOD IN OUR

  970. MEMORIES, IN OUR HEARTS, AND IN OUR

  971. MINDS. THEY LEFT US THE SERVICE, THEIR

  972. FAITHFULNESS TO THE HOUSE OF GOD. AND

  973. THAT IS WHAT'S GOING TO MAKE THE

  974. DIFFERENCE.

  975. >> Hundred years after you're gone, ain't

  976. nobody going to know you ever had any

  977. money.

  978. But they'll know what you did with

  979. Jesus.

  980. >> He left his supply. Then who shall those

  981. things be?

  982. Let me ask you, what are you hanging on

  983. to?

  984. Let me tell you who's it's going to be

  985. after you leave. The devil.

  986. You say, "How is that, preacher?" Well,

  987. if you don't give it to the Lord now,

  988. your kids ain't going to give it to the

  989. Lord later. I've heard people say,

  990. "Preacher, I'm going to leave my

  991. inheritance to my children, and they are

  992. commanded in my will to give it all to

  993. the church.

  994. Ain't going to happen.

  995. I'm telling you truth this morning,

  996. okay? You leave it behind if it's in

  997. your hands to do it." The Bible says,

  998. "To him know do good doeth not, to what?

  999. Him it is sin."

1000. Oh yes, friend. That's right. This

1001. morning, notice this. Thirdly, this

1002. night. But God said unto him, thou fool

1003. this night, thy soul shall be required

1004. of thee. Then who shall those things be?

  1005. Notice this last phrase.

  1006. Which thou hast

1007. provided? You know, I don't want to miss

1008. this. Okay, this is the one thing this

1009. man had going for him.

1010. He lost his soul. He left his supply

1011. behind. But you know what? This was his

  1012. last shot.

1013. Say, how is that, preacher? Well, notice

1014. what it says. Which thou hast provided?

1015. You know what this man had an

1016. opportunity to do? He had an opportunity

1017. to leave the eternal behind. But you

1018. know what he did instead?

  1019. He wasted his opportunity

1020. and used it to build wealth,

1021. to build a world that centered around

  1022. him.

1023. You know what happened when he was gone?

1024. You know what happened? that world that

1025. he had sent around him, you know what it

1026. was going to do? It was just going to

  1027. crumble

1028. because he wasted his only shot.

1029. Let me remind you, you don't get another

  1030. chance at this thing.

1031. >> You get one shot,

  1032. >> right?

1033. >> And as the old adage says, you better

  1034. shoot straight.

1035. Amen. We can't afford to miss

1036. >> cuz here's the truth. The announcement

1037. came and there was nothing he can do

1038. about it. When the announcement comes in

1039. your life, there's going to be nothing

1040. you can do about it.

  1041. When your number's called, you've heard

1042. it said before, it doesn't matter where

1043. you are, what you're doing, or how good

1044. of health you're in. I've watched people

1045. Amen. The the healthiest man I ever

1046. knew, I grew up beside of him, and and

1047. he lived just down the road from me, a

1048. mile away. He was 75 years old. And the

1049. day before he died, he rode his bicycle

  1050. to his mailbox.

1051. Rode his bic 75 years old. picture of

1052. health. Nothing wrong with him. He goes

1053. to bed that night and you know what? He

1054. doesn't wake up the next day. And then

1055. I've seen people, amen, that have smoked

1056. and drank and and did all the other

1057. stuff her entire life live to be a

1058. hundred. I mean, I'm just telling you

1059. the truth, okay? We don't know when

  1060. death's going to come.

1061. >> But I'll tell you this, when God says

  1062. that's when it's going to happen.

  1063. >> And notice this.

1064. this night he gave his last shot which

1065. thou hast provided. Man, I tell you, I'd

1066. hate to know my life's labor would be in

1067. vain. When I get to the end of my days,

1068. minutes before I'm about to make the

1069. cross and brother Mike and I look back

1070. and all I see is a bunch of waste.

1071. You know how miserable that'd be to know

1072. that I had spent it all up

1073. to take the opportunity that I'd been

1074. given to live a life for God and wasted

1075. it on myself. And you know what it

1076. looked like to him when he turned around

1077. and looked at it? It just began to fall.

1078. You know, it's like the domino effect.

1079. When you build your life on yourself and

1080. you're pulled out, you know what's going

1081. to happen? Everything else is going to

  1082. fall down.

  1083. >> Notice verse 21.

1084. Jesus gives the parable. Now he

1085. describes the poverty in verse 21. So is

1086. he that layeth up treasure for himself

1087. and is not rich, notice this, toward

  1088. God.

1089. >> Let me ask you, where's your investment

  1090. at?

1091. What are you investing in?

1092. If we were to look at your life this

1093. morning and examine it from the inside

1094. out, what are you investing in? What are

1095. you giving your time to? What are you

1096. giving your treasure to? What are you

1097. giving your talent to? Man, I'll tell

1098. you this. You look at people's church

1099. attendance and that'll tell you what

  1100. they're investing in.

  1101. We'll miss church for everything. We'll

  1102. do anything. I know it's quiet, but I'll

1103. be honest with you, I don't care.

1104. The truth is this morning, if Jesus come

1105. back this afternoon, every one of us

1106. would be ashamed of the days and the

1107. hours we missed. But I can tell you

1108. this, from this day forward, you can be

  1109. different.

  1110. >> Amen.

1111. You don't have to miss for everything

1112. under the sun. And it's like I told him

1113. in Sunday school this morning, the truth

1114. is you shouldn't build church around

1115. your life. You ought to build your life

1116. around church. If there's something

1117. going on at the house of God, you ought

1118. to be there come hell or high water.

1119. >> You say, "Preacher, but what about those

1120. that are sick?" You know that I got more

  1121. common sense than that.

1122. >> If you're sick and you can't get out of

  1123. bed,

  1124. >> stay at home.

1125. But if you've got ability to get up and

1126. go to the supermarket or go down to the

1127. fast food joint, you can walk through

1128. those doors and sit down on a pew and be

  1129. at church.

  1130. >> That's right.

1131. >> I'm just being reasonable this morning.

1132. And the thing about it is you show what

1133. you're investing your life in. You say,

1134. "Preacher, well, I'll send my tithe up

1135. there through the mail." That ain't

1136. That's not getting it done.

  1137. >> I told the church this this morning. I I

1138. should have just preached it again. What

1139. I should have done, preach Sunday school

1140. again. But the truth is, God don't care

1141. about what you give. God cares about how

  1142. you give.

  1143. >> Amen.

1144. >> God cares. He loves a cheerful giver. He

1145. would rather have that widow's might

1146. >> then he have the millions OF THE

1147. BILLIONAIRE THAT WOULD GIVE IT AND be

  1148. grudging

1149. >> in that gift. God don't need your

1150. millions. He don't need your thousands.

1151. He don't NEED YOUR HUNDREDS. HE DON'T

1152. NEED MY 10 CENTS. All he needs is a

1153. heart that's WILLING AND WANTING TO

  1154. SERVE HIM.

1155. >> And I'll tell you this, we'll know by

1156. the end of this week revival meeting

1157. comes to a close how invested you are in

  1158. the things of God.

1159. >> You make an effort to get here maybe one

  1160. night.

1161. You say, "Preacher, well, my work

1162. schedule won't allow it." God knows I

1163. understand that. Okay? But you listen to

1164. me. If you can get here, you better be

  1165. here.

1166. Let me tell you, one of these days you

1167. get the judgment seats, you wish you had

  1168. them.

1169. >> Amen. I'm not being ugly or mean this

1170. morning, but I'm telling you, it could

1171. be tonight could be the last night.

1172. >> Let me ask you, if we go all week

1173. through this revival meeting, you go out

1174. on Friday night and you didn't show up

1175. one night and you stand before God, what

1176. are you going to say?

  1177. >> I don't know about you, but I wouldn't

1178. want to waste my life doing the things

  1179. of this world.

1180. When I know the only thing that matters,

1181. hear me church, the only thing that

1182. matters, the only thing that'll last is

  1183. what's done for Christ.

  1184. That's it.

  1185. >> That's it.

  1186. But this night,

1187. what's going to happen this night?

1188. Will you lose your soul?

  1189. I hope not. I hope you're saved.

1190. But if you are saved, you going to leave

  1191. a supply behind that's useless.

1192. You going to leave wealth built up that

1193. ain't going to mean anything to anybody?

1194. Are you going to leave him something

  1195. eternal?

1196. And if tonight is the last night for

1197. you, have you wasted your opportunity?

  1198. Have you missed it?

1199. Every head bowed and every eye closed,

  1200. this altar's open.

  1201. I tell you this,

1202. I'd hate to know I wasted the only shot

  1203. I ever got.

  1204. Cuz the truth is,

1205. when we stand before him, all that's

1206. going to matter is what we did for him.

  1207. You say, "Preacher, I

1208. I got to support my family. I got to We

1209. got to do things with them.

1210. Why don't you come be at church with

  1211. them

1212. instead of taking them to all the places

  1213. of the world,

1214. letting them see everything the world

  1215. has to offer.

1216. Then we what when they get grown up, we

1217. wonder why they decided to go to the

1218. world. while you've done their entire

1219. childhoods, take them to the world and

1220. show them everything it has to offer.

1221. When Abraham and Lot went down into

  1222. Egypt

1223. because Abraham's lapse of faith, Lot

1224. never could get Egypt out of his mind.

1225. And so, you know what? When Abraham

1226. said, "Son, choose." You know what he

1227. chose? Chose him all the plain of

  1228. Jordan.

1229. What'd he do? He pitched his tent toward

  1230. Sodom.

1231. Let me tell you, daddy,

  1232. mama,

1233. if all you do is show them the world,

  1234. worldly music,

  1235. worldly dress,

  1236. worldly lifestyle.

1237. Say, "Preacher, but I want my children

1238. to be joyful, AND ALL I'LL TELL YOU,

1239. THERE'S PLEASURE IN SIN FOR A SEASON."

1240. But boy, I'd hate to know

  1241. I I wasted

  1242. my opportunity with them

1243. trying to fulfill the lust of the flesh.

1244. Let me ask you this this morning. You

  1245. say, "Preacher, I I'm here today. I

  1246. realize I'm lost.

1247. Preacher, if I died tonight, I know that

1248. I'd go to hell because I've never

  1249. trusted Christ.

1250. be honest between you and God. Nobody's

1251. looking around but me. You just slip

1252. your hand up. I want to pray for you.

  1253. Preacher, I'm lost.

1254. Anybody? Preacher, pray for me.

  1255. Preacher, I don't know I'm saved. Would

1256. you pray for me? Somebody be honest

1257. between you and God. Slip your hand up.

1258. I want to pray for you. God's been

1259. dealing with your heart. You know it.

1260. Say, "Preacher, I'm saved, but preacher,

1261. I've invested my life in the wrong

  1262. things.

1263. Preacher, I'm not invested in the church

1264. like I should be. I'm not invested in my

1265. family like I should be.

1266. Too busy. Preacher, would you pray for

  1267. me?

  1268. Anybody be honest?

  1269. God sees that.

1270. Truth is, every hand in here ought to

  1271. went up on that.

  1272. We're all too busy.

1273. When's the last time you spent 30

  1274. minutes in prayer?

1275. If you can't remember, you're too busy.

1276. When's the last time you sat down and

1277. read your Bible for more than 10

  1278. minutes?

1279. If you can't remember, you're too busy.

  1280. It takes more.

1281. You can't live mediocre and get by.

1282. It takes more, child of God.

1283. I'm not worried about the ones that

1284. raised their hand. I'm worried about the

  1285. ones that didn't.

  1286. You need help.

1287. Father, I pray in Jesus name.

1288. God, you put this message on my heart

1289. cuz it's where we're living at. Lord,

1290. I'm going into revival meeting. Lord, I

1291. know there'll be people come this week

1292. that won't be here because of everything

  1293. else.

1294. Lord, I pray God you deal with their

  1295. heart.

1296. Lord, they show where their investment

1297. is when they're not here.

1298. God, I pray please, Father, you'd deal

1299. with their heart this morning. And God,

1300. I pray you'd help all of us, Lord, to

  1301. re-evaluate our lives. God, we're too

  1302. busy.

1303. Lord, I realize just from this challenge

1304. I gave the church last week, how busy I

  1305. myself am.

1306. Lord, you put me in neutral for a day.

1307. And I thank you for that.

1308. God, help me to sit at your feet more,

1309. not to be so cumbered about much

  1310. serving.

1311. Cuz Lord, service don't mean nothing if

1312. I ain't spent time with the Savior.

1313. Lord, I pray you'll help us to be

1314. obedient. Help us to be faithful to

1315. revival meeting this week, Lord. God, I

1316. know these men of God's going to share

1317. what you've put on them. And Lord,

1318. they've studied fervently and prayed for

1319. this meeting. And God, I pray that we'll

1320. be faithful to be here and be in our

1321. place. Lord, I sure love you and I ask

1322. it all in Jesus name.

  1323. Amen.

1324. Amen. Well, I appreciate the Lord. Don't

  1325. you?
