  7. Pastor Charlie Branch with a word from

  8. God.

  9. >> Man, Genesis chapter number 10 tonight.

  10. and chapter 10. Then put your finger

  11. there and we'll turn to chapter 11 as

  12. well. And uh

  13. Genesis chapter number 10. And when you

  14. find your place, if you would stand

  15. tonight. I appreciate that hymn you

  16. sang, brother. And uh probably if if not

  17. the most powerful hymn ever been

  18. written, one of the most powerful hymns

  19. ever been written. And uh I know men of

  20. God that uh wouldn't allow their church

  21. to sing that last verse

  22. because of how serious that is.

  23. >> To the old rugged cross I will ever be

  24. true.

  25. >> It's shame and reproach

  26. gladly bear.

  27. >> That's right.

  28. >> That's no small no small commitment,

  29. church.

  30. But I tell you what, when when you ever

  31. get a look at that cross,

  32. >> come on.

  33. >> See it for what it really is, that's the

  34. way you'll feel. Amen.

  35. >> I really do. I appreciate you singing

  36. that tonight and minding the Lord with

  37. that, man. I bless the Lord for it.

  38. Genesis chapter 10. I want to begin

    Genesis 10 chapter mention

  39. reading in verse number eight. Genesis

    Genesis 10 chapter mention

  40. chapter 10, verse number eight, and then

  41. we'll read just a few verses and then

  42. turn over to chapter number 11.

  43. this evening. Thank you for being here

  44. again tonight. Let's ask the Lord to

  45. help us. Father, thank you for this time

  46. and Lord, I pray you'd bless now the

  47. reading of your word. God, we've come

  48. before you tonight and we stand in

  49. desperate need of help. I pray God that

  50. you would help us.

  51. >> Pray you'd move in our midst, get all

  52. glory unto yourself and exalt your son,

  53. magnify the word, and edify the church.

  54. Well, thank you for what you do because

  55. we ask it in Jesus name. Amen. Look with

  56. me in verse number 8 of Genesis chapter

    Genesis 10 chapter mention

  57. 10. The Bible says, "And Kush begat

  58. Nimrod,

  59. and he began to be a mighty one in the

  60. earth. He was a mighty hunter before the

  61. Lord. Wherefore it is said, even as

  62. Nimrod, the mighty hunter before the

  63. Lord. And the beginning of his kingdom

  64. was Babel and Eric and Akid and Ka in

  65. the land of Shinar. Out of that land

  66. went forth Asher and builded Nineveh in

  67. the city Rahoboth and Kala. Notice with

  68. me chapter number 11 and verse number

  69. one.

  70. And the whole earth was of one language

  71. and of one speech. And it came to pass

  72. as they journeyed from the east that

  73. they found a plain land of Shinar there

  74. and they dwelt there. They said one to

  75. another, "Go to, let us make brick, and

  76. burn them thorly." They had brick for

  77. stone, and slime had they for mortar.

  78. They said, "Go to, let us build us a

  79. city and a tower, whose top may reach

  80. unto heaven, and let us make us a name,

  81. lest we be scattered abroad on the face

  82. of the whole earth." And the Lord came

  83. down to see the city and the tower which

  84. the children of men builded. And the

  85. Lord said, "Behold, the people is one,

  86. and they have all one language, and this

  87. they begin to do, and now nothing will

  88. be restrained from them which they have

  89. imagined to do. Go to, let us go down,

  90. and there confound their language, that

  91. they may not understand one another's

  92. speech." So the Lord scattered them

  93. abroad from thence upon the face of all

  94. the earth, and they left off to build

  95. the city. Therefore is the name of it

  96. called Babel, because the Lord did there

  97. confound the language of all the earth,

  98. and from thence did the Lord scatter

  99. them abroad upon the face of all the

  100. earth. You can be seated this evening.

  101. Thank you for standing.

  102. Genesis chapter number 11 introduces us

  103. to yet another page in the history of

  104. the beginning years of the our world. Of

  105. course, it's been some thousand years at

  106. this time, probably near him unto 2,000

  107. years, that our Lord here in the text

  108. has allowed mankind to be on this earth.

  109. And we would all agree tonight that it

  110. has been the mercy of God that has

  111. allowed man to stay here

  112. >> because Adam and Eve sin in the garden.

  113. God had to make them coats of skins. And

  114. in mercy, he covered them. And he did

  115. send them out of the garden. But he did

  116. not take their life as he could have

  117. done. He could have taken them out and

  118. then in that moment, humanity would have

  119. been done away with before it had ever

  120. even started. But I'm thankful that he

  121. didn't do that. And yet the more he

  122. waited longsuffering, patient with each

  123. generation, with each children, with the

  124. sons of Cain that we talked about how

  125. that they were all wicked and they all

  126. had brought in themselves wickedness

  127. into their life. And then we consider

  128. the days of Noah and how the the

  129. thoughts and intents of man's heart were

  130. only evil continually. And now here on

  131. the other side of the flood, on the

  132. other side of Noah's arc, we find once

  133. again another text, another story,

  134. another history lesson. And let me just

  135. say this tonight, you if you ain't

  136. figured it out yet, that we're all the

  137. same.

  138. >> You're right.

  139. >> Amen. You're robed in the same flesh

  140. that Adam was and Cain was and Abel was

  141. and Noah was. Amen. And all those other

  142. men were. Amen. And when I come to this

  143. text tonight, I want to give you just a

  144. few things tonight by way of

  145. introduction in this text and I'll give

  146. you the thought and then we'll go home

  147. this evening. And I notice when I come

  148. to Genesis chapter number 11, the Bible

  149. mentions there in verse number one, it

  150. says, "And the whole earth was of one

  151. language." Now I'm I made this emphasis

  152. on the last time we preached out of

  153. Genesis chapter number N concerning what

  154. Noah had been entrusted with at this

  155. point in time. The vast expanse of the

  156. land. All was in his hand. And so

  157. creation here was basically under his

  158. control if you want to consider it that

  159. way. God had given him dominion. And so

  160. he had told them to be fruitful and

  161. multiply. And as the lineage goes on in

  162. chapter number 10, what we discover is

  163. is the three sons of Noah, Shim, Ham,

  164. and Japheth, all of their children are

  165. mentioned in this genealogy of Genesis

  166. chapter number 10. But there is one

  167. child that stands out amongst all the

  168. rest. And for reasons why we're going to

  169. delve into in just a minute, they were

  170. not good reasons. Amen. I guess we could

  171. say if we look at him tonight uh the

  172. text that I have read to you there in

  173. Genesis 10, we could say uh that he was

  174. effective in his earthly life. But I

  175. want to give you something tonight out

  176. of this text and then we'll move on and

  177. get the message. We notice in Genesis

  178. 10, the Bible mentions this man by the

  179. name of Nimrod. In Genesis 10 and verse

  180. number eight, this man Cous begat

  181. Nimrod, one of the firstborn sons there

  182. of Ham. And the Bible says that Nimrod

  183. began to be a mighty one in the earth.

  184. His strength is highlighted here in the

  185. text. His subtlety is highlighted in

  186. verse number nine. He was a mighty

  187. hunter before the Lord. He was able in

  188. the field. That literally means and the

  189. Bible says that there was even a

  190. statement that is made after Nimrod in

  191. the text. Wherefore it is said even as

  192. Nimrod the mighty hunter before the

  193. Lord. Now you may call your boy, Amen,

  194. Nimrod. But just know what you're

  195. calling him. It's not a good thing.

  196. Amen. And uh let me just say this. All

  197. right, let me get this off my head so I

  198. can get to the message tonight. When we

  199. think about this man, Nimrod, it is

  200. mentioned in verse number 10 as his

  201. strength is is revealed and his subtlety

  202. is revealed. The statement that's made

  203. about him, verse number 10, notice his

  204. superiority is found in verse 10. And

  205. the beginning of his kingdom, notice

  206. this, was what? Babel. And so is

  207. mentioned here. This man Nimrod, this

  208. kingdom of Babel comes on the scene in

  209. Genesis chapter number 11. And we know

  210. the story tonight. You've probably heard

  211. tell of the Tower of Babel. And I want

  212. to give you this thought here this

  213. evening. When you look up that name

  214. Nimrod, it literally means this. It

  215. means rebellion.

  216. Nimrod's name speaks of a rebellious

  217. son. Now, we have no history of this

  218. man, Nimrod, other than what the Bible

  219. tells us his name is and what happens to

  220. the city that he is a king over in

  221. chapter 11. And I want to give you this.

  222. All right, get to the thought and we'll

  223. be done tonight. Notice what the Bible

  224. says in verse number nine. In verse

  225. number nine of Genesis 11 or verse

  226. number eight, so the Lord scattered them

  227. abroad from thence upon the face of all

  228. the earth, and they left off to build

  229. the city. Verse N. Therefore is the name

  230. of it called what?

  231. >> Babel.

  232. Now we consider the thought that

  233. Nimrod's name means rebellion. Does

  234. anybody know what Babel means tonight?

  235. >> Means confusion.

  236. And I want to preach on this thought for

  237. just a little bit tonight if the Lord

  238. would help me on why rebellion

  239. brings confusion.

  240. Why rebellion brings confusion. When I

  241. look at this text tonight, what we are

  242. discovering is is a another age that is

  243. mentioned here in this chapter. It is

  244. being pointed out to us here in this

  245. text. The history of this man Nimrod and

  246. his kingship in this chapter. And I want

  247. to give you just a few truths out of

  248. this text and then we'll be done

  249. tonight. I noticed that this leader is

  250. mentioned Nimrod. They there's one

  251. language that is mentioned in verse

  252. number one. There is a land that is

  253. mentioned in verse two. Look what the

  254. Bible says. And it came to pass as they

  255. journeyed from the east that they found

  256. a plane in the land of Shinar and they

  257. dwelt there. And so the emphasis is that

  258. they are journeying east. The Bible says

  259. they are journeying from the east, but

  260. translated it literally means they are

  261. journeying toward the east. in this text

  262. they are going. If you look at a a

  263. geographical map and you were to view it

  264. this way, um if you were to look at the

  265. city of Jerusalem, of course that's not

  266. present in this text, but where Egypt is

  267. down here and you go north up to where

  268. Jerusalem is, Shinar, the plane of

  269. Shinar would be on the east. And this is

  270. where the Bible says that all the people

  271. in the text are journeying to. And I

  272. noticed this phrase in verse number

  273. three. Look what the Bible says. And

  274. they said one to another, go to let us

  275. make brick. And the first thing that I

  276. notice in this text tonight is this. I

  277. notice that there is a seeming unity

  278. that is present in this text. You say,

  279. "What do you mean?" Well, the Bible says

  280. in verse number one that the whole earth

  281. was of one language and what? And of one

  282. speech. Now there's people we can unite

  283. over a lot of things tonight. But when

  284. you think about what you have in common

  285. with people, you understand those two

  286. truths mentioned in verse number one are

  287. probably the most prevalent principles

  288. of why there would be unity. You say,

  289. "What is that?" Well, that word language

  290. there, it speaks of the lip or the

  291. dialect. That is how people speak. And

  292. then the Bible says one language and of

  293. one speech. So that is your words.

  294. That's not only just the dialect, but

  295. that is the words that are employed. And

  296. so the entire face of the earth was

  297. speaking here the language that was

  298. given in the beginning. And so there is

  299. unity on this. But isn't it interesting

  300. that all of these people are journeying

  301. together and they've decided to leave

  302. where they were at originally and go to

  303. this place together. But let me ask you

  304. this. All right. What is the one command

  305. that God gave to this generation of

  306. people?

  307. What's the one command God told Noah? Be

  308. fruitful and what?

  309. >> Multiply and what? Replenish the earth.

  310. Now, we know tonight the earth was more

  311. than the land of Shinar.

  312. And you say, "Preacher, why does

  313. Nimrod's name mean rebellion?" Well, I

  314. don't think Nimrod's name speaks so much

  315. of rebellion against his father. I don't

  316. think it has anything to do with Kush. I

  317. don't think it has anything to do with

  318. Ham or even Noah, but I think his

  319. rebellion was against God. And when I

  320. consider this text, what we find is that

  321. this land, these people obviously

  322. according to what is told us in chapter

  323. 10 are being led by this man Nimrod.

  324. They have one language. They are headed

  325. to one land. The Bible says in the text,

  326. they have one labor. The Bible says in

  327. verse three, they said one to another,

  328. "Go to let us make brick and burn them

  329. thorly, and they had brick for stone,

  330. and slime had they for mortar." And let

  331. me just say this tonight, you need to be

  332. careful what you're yoking up with.

  333. >> You're right.

  334. >> All right. You need to be careful to

  335. lock arms with everything that comes

  336. down the pipe. Amen. And let me say this

  337. to you tonight. Just because something's

  338. been good or been right in the past,

  339. don't mean it's still right. Because

  340. things change,

  341. >> right?

  342. >> Things happen. life moves on. Sin comes

  343. present. And you know what? We're not

  344. able to always do all the things that we

  345. once did. And we're not always able to

  346. fellowship with all the same people that

  347. we once fellowship with. Amen. Because

  348. people are not faithful. There's only

  349. one who's faithful, and that is God.

  350. >> You're right.

  351. >> BUT YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL about who

  352. you're yoking up with. Because if you're

  353. not careful, you'll be yoking up with

  354. somebody who was once obedient, but now

  355. they've become rebellious.

  356. >> You're right. And I want to give you the

  357. markers tonight on why rebellion brings

  358. confusion. We notice this fact that

  359. there is seeming unity. And when

  360. somebody who is rebellious, what they're

  361. going to have, what what's going to

  362. happen with them, the number one thing

  363. you're always going to find about them

  364. is they're going to seek unity.

  365. >> You're right.

  366. >> People from the outside of this church,

  367. amen, that are not here anymore, what

  368. they're going to try to do is they're

  369. going to try to grab you and pull you to

  370. them.

  371. >> You're right.

  372. >> They're going to try to put their hook

  373. in you. Amen. And pull you out. You say,

  374. "Preacher, how do I know when they're

  375. not right?" Well, when they're trying to

  376. pull you away from the things of God,

  377. >> you're right.

  378. >> When they're trying to get you to do

  379. things that are against that book right

  380. there. Amen. And there's people, and I

  381. understand tonight what pastors mean,

  382. when they say this, when somebody's

  383. trying to get you to turn on the man of

  384. God, you need to turn and walk away from

  385. them. And let me say this, as long as

  386. I'm preaching the truth, that's right.

  387. Amen. You shouldn't let anybody pull you

  388. away from my influence. as long as I'm

  389. staying in that book. But the very

  390. second I step out of that book, you have

  391. every right to walk away from me.

  392. >> Amen. But here, let me tell you this

  393. tonight. All right? When somebody's

  394. TRYING TO PULL YOU AWAY from the church,

  395. when somebody's trying to pull you away

  396. from the faith, when somebody wants to

  397. single you out and they're seeking

  398. unity, you better check her up, friend.

  399. You're

  400. >> right.

  401. >> Amen.

  402. >> You better check her up. We don't

  403. procelite people here at Meadows Baptist

  404. Church.

  405. >> Amen. We don't go to other church church

  406. members houses and tell them your church

  407. ain't good enough. You need to come to

  408. our church.

  409. >> God ain't within a thousand miles of

  410. that. And that ain't where I thought I'd

  411. be preaching at tonight. But it works.

  412. Amen. I'm saying when they're seeking

  413. unity, Nimrod is obviously leading this

  414. group of people. They've come to this

  415. land. They have one language. They're

  416. undertaking labor in this text. And let

  417. me say this. Second of all, what you'll

  418. notice, and I've already butchered this

  419. outline, but I'm just going to preach

  420. tonight. Amen. I notice not only they're

  421. they're seeking uh they're they're

  422. they're seeking unity, but there's also

  423. a sinful undertaking that's present. The

  424. Bible says in verse three that they are

  425. making brick. The Bible says they're

  426. making brick. They had brick for stone

  427. and slime had they for mortar. And you

  428. notice the burning that's mentioned in

  429. the text. There is these pavers that are

  430. pointed out. These brick that is

  431. literally asphalt stones is what that

  432. is. heated up uh asphalt that's put

  433. together. And you say, "Preacher, did

  434. they have asphalt plants during that

  435. day?" No, they didn't have asphalt

  436. plants. Amen. But they had these stones

  437. that would they would use to heat up.

  438. And what it would literally do, that

  439. process of heat would create these

  440. pavers. And then they would, the Bible

  441. says in verse three, they had brick for

  442. stone and slime had they for mortar. And

  443. that is pitch. That is what they would

  444. find in the valley. You can actually

  445. turn, I believe it's to the book of

  446. Genesis, chapter number 14, and you'll

  447. find that the two kings of Sodom and

  448. Gomorrah, they they actually got killed

  449. in a slime pit. Amen. They fell over in

  450. one, and that's what killed them. Amen.

  451. They some preach right there, but I'm

  452. not going to get on that. Amen. But I

  453. noticed their burning in this text. I

  454. also noticed their building. You say,

  455. "Preacher, I don't see anything sinful."

  456. Just stay with me. I'm going somewhere.

  457. The Bible says in verse four, "And they

  458. said, go to let us build us a city and a

  459. tower whose top may reach unto heaven,

  460. and let us make us a name, lest we be

  461. scattered abroad upon the face of the

  462. whole earth." So there is the burning

  463. here. They are using these brick and

  464. this pitch to make about this this

  465. building, this tower. But then the

  466. building is mentioned in verse number

  467. four. They said, "Let us build us a

  468. city." They're desiring residency, but

  469. they're all not only desiring a place of

  470. residence. They're also desiring a place

  471. for religion. The Bible said they said,

  472. "Let us build us a city and a tower."

  473. This tower was going to be the

  474. centerpiece of this city that they were

  475. going to be living in. Now, remember,

  476. Nimrod is the one at the head of all

  477. this. All right? And he's in complete

  478. and total rebellion against God. And so,

  479. what are they building? They're building

  480. a city that's full of politics based on

  481. position. And at the very center of that

  482. thing, it's full of pride.

  483. >> You're right.

  484. >> You say, "Preacher, how is that?" Well,

  485. notice the terminology that's mentioned

  486. again in the verse. Let us build us a

  487. city and a tower whose top may reach

  488. unto heaven. Now, that does not mean

  489. tonight that they were trying to build a

  490. a a tower that would go all the way to

  491. heaven where God is. And that makes for

  492. good understanding for young people when

  493. you're trying to explain them this text.

  494. But what that literally means is is

  495. they're going to say the top of this

  496. building is heaven.

  497. >> You're right.

  498. >> This tower, the top of it, and and one

  499. writer said it this way. He said it's

  500. for uh stargazing,

  501. signs of the zodiac,

  502. things that are in the celestial world.

  503. And you understand that's what

  504. Babylonian worship's founded upon.

  505. And there's no coincidence this city was

  506. called Bab.

  507. >> This city in the text, the Bible says

  508. they are building this tower. I notice

  509. not only their burning, they're

  510. building, but I noticed their branding

  511. in the text. Look what the Bible says.

  512. And let us make us a name. They wanted

  513. their own name. They wanted their own

  514. brand. What is that? They needed a

  515. label. You're

  516. >> right.

  517. >> I'm going to preach in a minute. All

  518. right. I'm going to give you the text

  519. and I'm going to go back and preach it.

  520. Amen. They needed a label. Why did they

  521. need a label? Lest they ever be lost.

  522. Look what the Bible said. Lest we be

  523. scattered abroad upon the face of the

  524. whole earth. You say, "Preacher, why was

  525. this a sinful undertaking?" Well, I'll

  526. say it was a sinful undertaking because

  527. of their leader. Number one. But I'll

  528. say it's a sinful undertaking because of

  529. what they love. You see, what has

  530. happened in this text is is the people

  531. have fallen lock, stock, and barrel into

  532. what America has fallen into. into this

  533. modernday humanistic church world that

  534. we're living in. You're

  535. >> right.

  536. >> This ecumenical garbage that we're

  537. seeing where everybody gets together and

  538. says, "Kumbai, y'all, let's hold hands

  539. and let's just say Jesus loves you." And

  540. I don't care if you mean it's Allah or

  541. Buddha or whoever. We'll just say Jesus.

  542. Amen. And we'll call. YOU SAY, "HOW IS

  543. THAT?" WELL, notice the text. The Bible

  544. says they're burning. I know there's a

  545. lot of churches this morning. If you

  546. were to look at their service, it looks

  547. like they're on fire.

  548. >> You're right. Amen. They got the man,

  549. they got it moving. There's people,

  550. there's professions left and right,

  551. baptisms left and right. There's all

  552. types of different activities going on.

  553. And man, we'll talk about they'll talk

  554. about how God's moving and GOD'S

  555. WORKING. BUT THEY DON'T KNOW THE FIRST

  556. thing about God's presence.

  557. >> You're right.

  558. >> Amen. I wish somebody helped me preach

  559. tonight. I'm saying they're burning, BUT

  560. I'LL SAY THIS. THEY'RE NOT ONLY BURNING,

  561. but they're building.

  562. >> Right.

  563. >> They're building new buildings every

  564. year. They're building this this club

  565. and and that small group and this sale

  566. group and they're they're they're

  567. they're moving on and going forward

  568. doing all they're burning. They're

  569. building and their branding. They've got

  570. their brands. They've got their their

  571. investment tactics. They've got their

  572. their their soul winning soulinning

  573. so-called DOWN TO A SCIENCE SO THEY CAN

  574. GET PEOPLE TO COME TO THEIR CHURCH. BUT

  575. YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'LL FIND IN THE MIDST

  576. OF THAT CROWD?

  577. >> Come on.

  578. >> They're empty.

  579. >> That's right. Because you know what's

  580. centered at the heart of that people?

  581. Rebellion. You're

  582. >> right.

  583. >> And here's the truth tonight in this

  584. text. All right. It's a sinful

  585. undertaking because it wasn't started

  586. right.

  587. >> And here's what I

  588. think tonight we've missed

  589. as a whole. And I understand God can

  590. take things that were done with cruel

  591. intentions. We know Joseph, the Bible

  592. said he told his brethren at the end of

  593. his life, he said, "As for me, you

  594. thought evil unto me, but God meant it

  595. unto good." I realize that. Okay?

  596. >> But you understand these ministries

  597. >> in our country today that were started

  598. with a rebellion against God,

  599. >> just because somebody's tried to reform

  600. that,

  601. >> come on.

  602. >> They can't erase the past.

  603. >> Right?

  604. >> They cannot erase the functionality

  605. of who they really are.

  606. And you say, "What does that come down

  607. to for me tonight, preacher?" Well, I

  608. want to remind you there's there this

  609. this this place, this city is burning. I

  610. was going to call it title of the

  611. message tonight, the first church of

  612. Babel. Amen. But the truth is tonight

  613. when we look around, we see this on

  614. every front. Places are burning, places

  615. are building, there's there's branding,

  616. you know, and I'm I'm going to stop and

  617. preach. All right? Y'all not going to

  618. say amen, so I'm going to preach. All

  619. right?

  620. I read a thing earlier today

  621. studying for this message. Do you do you

  622. realize how big the music industry is?

  623. >> Come on, preacher.

  624. >> The music industry in this country is

  625. outrageous.

  626. >> There is more money brought in from the

  627. music industry in our country than

  628. probably about anything else.

  629. >> You're right.

  630. >> But I saw this today. There is a

  631. well-known church. I'll just call their

  632. names Bethl. It's what it is. It's Bethl

  633. Church, Bethl Music, Hill Song, Bethl,

  634. all of that stuff. All right, let me

  635. tell you just how much money they've

  636. brought in in the last six years in

  637. their church from their copyright music

  638. program. Every time you sing one of

  639. their songs, they're making money off of

  640. it.

  641. >> You're right.

  642. >> And their music program has brought them

  643. over $11 million.

  644. >> $11 million. Now, that's not the last

  645. six years, okay? It's in it's it's it's

  646. higher than that.

  647. And this is what you're going to find

  648. about this type of religion. When you

  649. get to its core, you know what you

  650. discover? Rebellion.

  651. >> You're right.

  652. >> They deny who God is.

  653. >> They deny what God does.

  654. >> They deny everything that God says in

  655. his word.

  656. >> You're right.

  657. >> They don't believe this Bible.

  658. >> That's right. And when I look at this

  659. text tonight, what I'm finding is it all

  660. comes back to corrupt leadership. And

  661. you say, "Preacher, where is it

  662. heading?" Well, this place is burning.

  663. They've got a a work going on. They're

  664. building. Everybody's united together.

  665. They've even got a brand. They've got a

  666. label. Let's somebody come and tear them

  667. apart. But notice verse number five.

  668. Somebody shows up.

  669. >> That's right.

  670. >> Look what the Bible says. And the Lord

  671. >> Yeah.

  672. >> came down.

  673. >> YOU'RE RIGHT. THE LORD CAME DOWN to see

  674. the city and the tower which the

  675. children of men builded. And the Lord

  676. said, "Behold, the people is one, and

  677. they have all one language. And this

  678. they begin to do, and now nothing will

  679. be restrained from them which they have

  680. imagined to do. Go to let us go down and

  681. there confound their language that they

  682. may not understand one another's

  683. speech." Now, remind you this, all

  684. right? To notice somebody who's

  685. rebellious. Number one, they're seeking

  686. unity. All right. Number two, there

  687. there's a sinful undertaking is is

  688. involved. They're going to ask you to do

  689. something that you have no business

  690. doing. But I'll say this thirdly, what

  691. you going to see about that outfit? Is

  692. there going to be a sudden undermining

  693. that takes place?

  694. >> You're right. Come on.

  695. >> Something's going to come in and jerk

  696. the rug right out from under that crowd.

  697. And you say, "How is that?" Well, in

  698. this text, it's God shows up. Amen. Let

  699. me JUST SAY THIS. JUST BECAUSE

  700. everything looks all right on the

  701. outside don't mean it's all right on the

  702. inside. SOMEBODY SAY AMEN. JUST BECAUSE

  703. it looks good and smells GOOD AND TASTES

  704. GOOD DON'T MEAN IT'S FROM GOD.

  705. >> RIGHT?

  706. >> Matter of fact, when God shows up in

  707. this check text, the burning stops, the

  708. building stops, and the branding all

  709. stops. YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS? GOD BUST

  710. that thing up right in the middle.

  711. >> He just bust it all to pieces.

  712. >> You know what he does? He attacks what

  713. their unity is based on,

  714. >> right? I'm going somewhere. Stay with

  715. me.

  716. >> You see what happens out of their

  717. burning building and branding? You know

  718. what? They end up with brokenness.

  719. >> The Bible says in verse 5, the Lord is

  720. witness. He came down to see. Verse

  721. number six, his word is the Lord said,

  722. behold the people is one and they have

  723. all one language. And this they begin to

  724. do. Now nothing will be restrained from

  725. them which they have imagined to do. And

  726. then his will is revealed in verse 7. Go

  727. to let us go down and there confound

  728. their language that they may not

  729. understand one another's speech. You

  730. say, "Preacher, what happens in this

  731. text?" Well, number one, I'd say their

  732. plans got broken up.

  733. >> Right?

  734. >> The Bible says in the text, what does

  735. the Bible say? The Bible says in verse

  736. number eight, "And they left off to

  737. build the city."

  738. When God shows up, business quit. You're

  739. >> right.

  740. >> You want to know a true true church from

  741. a fake one?

  742. Just let God show up.

  743. >> Amen.

  744. >> Does business pick up or does business

  745. shut down?

  746. >> You're right.

  747. >> I'll tell you this. There's a lot of

  748. churches across this country. If God

  749. showed up, they'd close doors.

  750. >> You're right.

  751. >> Amen.

  752. >> You won't hear that preached much, but

  753. boy, it's the truth.

  754. >> You're right. I think there's a ministry

  755. in this day and time. We've got so many

  756. false thoughts. I mean, illegitimate

  757. churches got kabad had kabad rode over

  758. the door for years and God sends a man

  759. in there to shut it down, not to build

  760. it up,

  761. >> right?

  762. >> I've seen it before.

  763. >> Yeah.

  764. >> You say, "How is that when the people's

  765. united together an error?"

  766. >> Jesus never come to unite anybody.

  767. >> He said, "I came to bring a sword."

  768. >> That's right. You're right.

  769. >> Said a man at variance against his

  770. father and his mother. Jesus said, "I

  771. didn't come to bring peace." And here's

  772. the thing about it. When unity is

  773. broken, here's what happens. ALL THOSE

  774. PLANS, ALL THAT BURNING and building and

  775. branding, EVERY BIT OF THAT WENT OUT THE

  776. WINDOW.

  777. >> You're right.

  778. >> And you know what's going to happen when

  779. all of that crowd blows up that music

  780. industry? Somebody's going to pocket all

  781. the money and nothing will ever be said

  782. about it.

  783. >> Right.

  784. >> Amen.

  785. >> Their plans got broken up. But I'll say

  786. this, this is the sad part. The plans

  787. wasn't the only thing got broken up. The

  788. people got broken up. You're

  789. >> right.

  790. >> Look what the Bible says. Verse number

  791. eight. What's that first phrase? So the

  792. Lord scattered them abroad. You say,

  793. "Preacher, well, God did that." He had

  794. to.

  795. >> You're right.

  796. >> He had to. God forbid the day ever come

  797. at Meadows Baptist Church when God has

  798. to bust us apart.

  799. >> Amen.

  800. >> You know why he'd have to? We got united

  801. in error.

  802. >> You're right.

  803. >> If we decided we was going to go against

  804. God, God told them to be fruitful and

  805. multiply. Instead of going out and

  806. replenishing earth, you know what they

  807. did? They decided to get together.

  808. There's a principle in the Bible that

  809. says, "Woe to them that join house to

  810. house."

  811. >> You're right.

  812. >> That city living, you ever wonder why so

  813. much stuff goes on in the city?

  814. >> There's a biblical curse on it.

  815. >> You're right.

  816. >> Amen. Now look, I'm not just saying that

  817. cuz I'm a country boy and I am to the

  818. bone.

  819. >> But I'll tell you this right now. There

  820. is a biblical curse on that.

  821. >> That's the reason why the cities of this

  822. nation are wicked.

  823. >> You're right.

  824. >> It's the reason why the most sin that

  825. goes on in our country in the alleyways,

  826. in the darkness of night, it's in the

  827. city.

  828. >> You're right.

  829. >> There's a curse on it. THERE'S BROKEN

  830. PEOPLE. GOD HAD TO SCATTER THEM BECAUSE

  831. THEY WOULD NOT LISTEN.

  832. >> AMEN.

  833. >> They decided what they were going to do

  834. and they were not going to turn back.

  835. But this is the saddest part. You see,

  836. there was broken plans. There was broken

  837. people. The Lord scattered them. But

  838. I'll tell you this. This is the saddest

  839. thing about this text. There was a

  840. broken place. Notice verse nine.

  841. Therefore, is the name of it called

  842. Babel.

  843. The name of it is called Babel. You see

  844. tonight, this city was named this way

  845. because of how it ended.

  846. Have you ever been around somebody that

  847. their life story was how they failed?

  848. >> Yeah.

  849. >> You know, we talked about somebody just

  850. week or so ago

  851. about how, you know, failure sometimes

  852. is final.

  853. Babel was a city that was left decimated

  854. and unfinished

  855. because the people were rebellious

  856. against God.

  857. >> You're right.

  858. >> And I notice in this text, the Bible

  859. says, "Therefore is the name of it

  860. called Babel." And you know what city

  861. follows the line all the way through the

  862. scripture and is going to be the last

  863. city that's judged in the book of

  864. Revelation?

  865. It's Babylon.

  866. >> This city will never get saved. This

  867. city will never be revived. This city

  868. will never be restored. And you say,

  869. "Preacher, what's the driving force of

  870. your message?" Well, I've said all that

  871. to say this, this scattered message I've

  872. given you tonight. Those that are

  873. seeking unity, those that are a part of

  874. a sinful, wanting you to be a part of a

  875. sinful undertaking, they will have a

  876. sudden undermining. But I'll say this.

  877. At this moment in time, there is a

  878. standing. Listen to me. There is a

  879. standing ultimatum.

  880. >> You're right.

  881. >> You say, "What is it?" Well, notice the

  882. text again. Verse number nine. Therefore

  883. is the name of it called Babel, because

  884. the Lord did there confound the language

  885. of all the earth, and from thence did

  886. the Lord scatter them abroad upon the

  887. face of all the earth. You say,

  888. "Preacher, what's the standing

  889. ultimatum?" Rebellion brings confusion

  890. because God will not allow somebody to

  891. rebel against him and get by.

  892. >> You're right.

  893. >> Any city that wants to rebel against

  894. God, God says, "I'll scatter you."

  895. >> You're right.

  896. >> What'd he do to Sodom and Gomorrah?

  897. burn it to the ground. What did Jesus,

  898. he preached to those cities there in the

  899. New Testament, Capernaum, remember what

  900. he said, thou Capernaum shall be cast

  901. down to hell because he said the mighty

  902. works were done in thee. He said that if

  903. they were, he said the mighty works that

  904. were done in thee were done in uh the

  905. other city he was mentioned there. He

  906. said they would have repented in dust

  907. and ashes and he said you rejected God.

  908. Here's what I'm saying tonight. This is

  909. the driving force of the message. The

  910. ultimatum is this. If you rebel against

  911. God, God will destroy you.

  912. >> You're right.

  913. >> Amen.

  914. >> Notice the text again. Therefore, the

  915. name of it is called Babel because the

  916. Lord did there confound the language of

  917. all the earth. You see, there's a change

  918. that took place that day that's never

  919. been reversed.

  920. >> You're right.

  921. >> You see, up to this point, what' your

  922. Bible say in chapter 11 verse one? The

  923. whole earth was of one language and of

  924. one speech. Science wants you to believe

  925. that man and our progression

  926. and our evolution,

  927. we've come to the place where we speak

  928. more languages because we're more

  929. diverse and more special. You know,

  930. that's that's what they want you to

  931. believe. No, if it hadn't been for this

  932. event, we'd all still be talking the

  933. same language.

  934. >> You're right.

  935. >> Amen.

  936. >> And it would be the language that God

  937. gave Adam in the garden.

  938. >> What that is, I don't know. Probably

  939. Hebrew. But I'll tell you this, God had

  940. to divide them up,

  941. >> right? And and you say, "Preacher, what

  942. is that?" Well, one preacher said it

  943. this way. I'd rather be divided by truth

  944. >> than united in error.

  945. >> You're right. That's good.

  946. >> Amen.

  947. >> Right.

  948. >> Amen.

  949. >> I'd rather have nobody with me.

  950. >> Come on.

  951. >> And be right with God.

  952. >> That's good, preacher.

  953. >> Than have everybody with me.

  954. >> That's right.

  955. >> And be wrong with God.

  956. >> Amen.

  957. >> You say, "Preacher, what's the question

  958. tonight? Where do you stand? You know, I

  959. think what we're seeing in our church is

  960. this very thing.

  961. We're seeing people

  962. that have come eye to eye, toeto toe

  963. with the truth. And you know what

  964. they've had to do? Had to make a

  965. decision.

  966. Get right

  967. >> or walk away.

  968. >> You're right.

  969. >> Let me ask you. You're standing at

  970. truth's door tonight. What are you gonna

  971. do?

  972. >> You say, "How do I know it's rebellion?"

  973. Well, when it's seeking unity,

  974. you see, here's the thing about it. I

  975. desire unity.

  976. Bible tells us the book of Ephesians,

  977. we're to preserve unity. Says we're to

  978. keep unity in the bond of peace. Bible

  979. says unity of the church is just

  980. something that happens. You say, "What

  981. do you mean by that?" Well, if I get

  982. filled with the Holy Ghost of God and

  983. somebody else is filled with the Holy

  984. Ghost of God, you know what's going to

  985. happen?

  986. >> There's going to be unity,

  987. >> right?

  988. >> Because my unity is not with my flesh to

  989. your flesh.

  990. >> You're right.

  991. >> My unity is with the God in me to the

  992. God in you.

  993. >> That's right.

  994. >> You know why we don't have unity in the

  995. church? You know why people don't yoke

  996. up with us? It's not because we failed

  997. to unite with them. It's because they

  998. failed to allow God and them to hook up

  999. with the God in us. And you know what

1000. they do? They shut God out.

  1001. >> You're right.

1002. >> And so, you know what they have to do?

1003. They have to walk away.

  1004. >> Some, it's because God's not in them.

1005. >> John said it this way. He said, "They

1006. they went out from us because they were

  1007. not

  1008. >> of us."

  1009. >> Right?

1010. >> And here's the truth. You say,

1011. "Preacher, how does that go with you,

1012. Tyler? You know why we dealing with so

1013. much confusion? I have had I've heard

1014. more people This is real candid message

1015. tonight. I'm just being real, okay? I'm

1016. just just being real. Can I be real? Is

  1017. that all right?

1018. >> I've had more people tell me in the last

  1019. six months, I don't understand.

  1020. >> You're right.

  1021. >> I don't know what's happening.

  1022. >> You're right.

1023. >> I don't get it. What is going on?

  1024. >> Rebellion

  1025. >> causes confusion.

  1026. >> You're right.

1027. >> And it ain't rebellion against me.

  1028. >> Amen.

  1029. >> It's not me.

  1030. >> You're right.

1031. >> I'm not the standard of good and morally

1032. right. People will make it about me

1033. because here's the thing. I have to

1034. stand the closest to that book.

  1035. >> You're right.

  1036. >> But I'm not the problem.

  1037. >> You're right.

  1038. >> Rebellion

  1039. causes confusion.

  1040. >> You're right.

1041. >> And you know what they'll do? They'll go

1042. out there and build their city.

  1043. >> You're right.

  1044. >> They'll find them a dwelling place with

1045. people that'll relate to them.

  1046. >> They'll find them a dwelling place.

  1047. They'll build them a tower that's their

  1048. heaven.

  1049. >> You're right.

  1050. >> Because their heaven's on earth.

1051. >> Amen. Amen. Anybody hear the preacher?

1052. Did anybody hear what I just said? Their

1053. heavens ON EARTH AND THEY'LL BUILD THEIR

1054. TOWER ON THIS SIDE. BUT HEY FRIEND, MY

  1055. HEAVEN'S NOT DOWN HERE.

1056. >> Hey friend, MY HEAVEN'S WHERE GOD IS.

  1057. AMEN. AND I DON'T MY CITY'S NOT HERE

1058. EITHER. AMEN. BLESS HIS NAME TONIGHT.

1059. BOY, I FEEL A WIND ANOTHER COUNTRY ON

1060. THAT. THIS WORLD AIN'T MY HOME. THANK

1061. GOD. AND I AIN'T DRIVING MY TENT PEGS

1062. DOWN HERE. AND THEY CAN BACK UP. THEY

1063. CAN WALK AWAY. BUT GOD HELP ME. AND GOD

1064. HELP YOU TO NOT WALK AWAY IN REBELLION

  1065. BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT'LL HAPPEN? We'll

1066. leave behind a mess of people.

  1067. >> You're right.

  1068. >> Who's confused?

1069. >> I told a brother in this church the

  1070. other day. That's what I said. I said I

1071. said the devil tells me all the time I'm

  1072. not saved.

1073. >> Tells me I'm not saved. Tells me you're

  1074. a phony and a fake. You're a joke what

1075. you are. You know what? Hey, some days I

  1076. buy into it. Yeah,

  1077. >> maybe I didn't do it right.

  1078. >> Right.

1079. >> But you know what? That's my problem.

  1080. >> You're right.

  1081. >> Wasn't about what I did.

1082. >> Here's what I've come down to in my

1083. life. This is where you'll have to get

1084. to if you're ever going to have victory

  1085. over slow foot.

1086. >> I said I would rather, and do not follow

1087. that with me when I say this to you, but

1088. I would rather die and go to hell

1089. >> than to leave somebody behind confused.

1090. >> Amen. Come on, PREACHER.

1091. WELL, HE PREACHED to me. HE WAS

1092. PREACHING THE DAY I GOT SAVED.

1093. You say, "Preacher, how is that?" I'M

1094. SAYING, "I'M NOT SERVING GOD FOR ME."

  1095. >> That's right.

  1096. >> I ain't serving God for any of you. I'M

1097. SERVING GOD BECAUSE HE TOLD ME TO. AND

1098. AS LONG AS HE'S SPEAKING TO MY HEART,

1099. THE DEVIL CAN SAY WHATEVER HE WANTS TO.

1100. HE CAN DO WHATEVER HE WANTS TO. BUT AT

1101. THE END OF THE DAY, I KNOW THERE'S A

1102. BIBLE I CAN GO BACK TO, AND IT'LL GIVE

1103. ME A PLACE TO PUT MY FOOT. IT DOESN'T

1104. MATTER WHAT HE SAYS. IT DON'T MATTER

1105. WHERE I FIND MYSELF. I'M AS SURE AS SURE

1106. CAN BE TONIGHT BECAUSE I KNOW IN WHOM I

1107. HAVE BELIEVED AND HE PROMISED IT TO ME.

1108. AND I CAN ASSURE YOU, HE'S GOING TO KEEP

  1109. HIS PROMISE.

  1110. >> And I am not.

1111. I don't want any of these little babies

1112. in here to grow up one day and say, "I

1113. used to have a preacher preach to me."

  1114. >> Amen, brother.

1115. >> But he got in sin and got out of the

  1116. way.

  1117. >> Come on.

1118. >> I used to have a preacher to tell me the

1119. truth, but he got confused himself and

  1120. messed up his life.

  1121. >> You're right.

  1122. >> This ain't like I normally preach. Y'all

  1123. know that.

1124. Do you realize, church, that there is

1125. people who will live and die in Stokes

1126. County, who will never sit in a service

1127. like we sit in this morning.

  1128. >> You're right.

1129. >> Like we sat in last week.

  1130. >> They'll never hear a testimony.

1131. Some of them may never even hear a

  1132. gospel presentation.

  1133. >> You're right.

1134. And you how how could we

  1135. you've been y'all some of y'all been

1136. here Miss Bean? How long you been here?

1137. >> 56 years. Miss Ola, how long how long

  1138. you been here?

  1139. >> Yeah.

  1140. >> So I went and started

1141. that I have been going through for a

  1142. long time.

1143. >> I don't know. Some of you probably been

  1144. here longer.

1145. Let me be real honest with you. Why you

  1146. going to quit now?

  1147. >> Amen.

  1148. >> Come on, preacher.

  1149. >> I can't I I I cannot get this burden off

  1150. my heart.

  1151. >> Come on.

  1152. >> I can't. It's been on me for the last

1153. two months. I don't know who is next,

1154. but God is saying to you, don't quit.

  1155. >> You're right.

1156. >> He thought enough of you

1157. >> when all them other people started

1158. walking out. He thought enough of you to

1159. send a message to my heart over and over

1160. and over again for the last few months

1161. to say to you, don't quit.

  1162. >> Amen.

1163. >> This is not this preacher pleading with

1164. you. Can I just be real honest with you?

1165. My flesh here of late, I've had to get

1166. to the point in my flesh where I just

  1167. can't care.

1168. You can get mad at me if you want to.

  1169. >> You're right.

1170. >> But when you have people talk about you,

1171. >> come on, preacher. and say things to

1172. you, you have to shut your flesh down.

  1173. >> You're right.

  1174. >> Completely.

1175. >> The only thing in me that cares is the

  1176. God in me.

  1177. >> Amen.

  1178. >> Blessing.

1179. >> If you go, that's your business.

1180. It is. But God sent you a message.

  1181. >> Yeah.

  1182. >> Amen.

  1183. >> Rebellion

  1184. always

  1185. >> causes confusion.

  1186. >> You're right.

1187. You say, "Preacher, how dare you say you

  1188. don't care? You know I care."

  1189. >> Yeah, you're right.

1190. >> I wouldn't stay up at night and cry.

1191. Told my wife through some of this. I've

1192. asked her, "Babe, what have I done? Will

1193. you tell me what I've said? Is that not

  1194. what I've told you?"

  1195. >> Come on, preacher.

1196. >> God, help me. If I've done something in

1197. my flesh, you forgive me.

  1198. >> Amen.

  1199. >> Forgive me.

1200. I can tell you from my heart,

  1201. rebellion brings confusion.

  1202. >> Amen.

1203. >> I've told you about this man time and

  1204. time again.

1205. This man's been heavy on my mind.

1206. Pastor, preacher, years and years.

1207. Decided he's going to quit. Done with

  1208. it.

  1209. He's a member of the Hell's Angel. Now,

1210. I seen a thing just the other day, his

1211. boy who was a preacher himself. He's

1212. just a year two younger than me. Had a

1213. picture with a big old margarita in his

  1214. hand. His Facebook profile.

1215. You say, "What is it?" It rebellion

  1216. brings confusion.

  1217. >> You're right.

  1218. >> Amen.

1219. >> I'm tired of looking at people and

  1220. wondering what happened.

  1221. >> You're right.

1222. >> What's the problem? Why? What went

  1223. wrong?

  1224. Don't be that person.

  1225. >> Amen.

1226. >> Don't be that person because you know

1227. what? You'll have a city behind you.

  1228. >> You're right.

1229. You'll go out there and you'll build

1230. your city. You'll build your tower.

1231. And what you're going to find is God's

1232. going to break it all up one of these

  1233. days.

  1234. >> You're right.

1235. >> Every head bowed and every eye closed.

1236. I've delivered my burden tonight.

1237. I've been just as honest with you as I

  1238. know how to be.

1239. I talked to pastors every week of my

1240. life. Probably talked to my dad more

  1241. than any of them.

1242. And dad's told me himself.

1243. And my daddy's always been the man with

1244. the plan. He's looked at me and said,

1245. "Son, I really don't know what to do."

1246. I told him something one day. I said,

1247. 'Dad, I said, 'All we can do is preach

1248. and leave the results to to the people

  1249. and to God.

1250. And he told me the other day, he said,

1251. 'You know, he said, I and my daddy loves

  1252. people.

1253. Better pastor than I could ever be. He

  1254. loves people.

1255. He told me, he said, you know, he said,

1256. I think you're right about that. He

1257. said, "I'm just going to have to preach

1258. to him cuz I can't do nothing else."

1259. Cuz he tries to help him, tries to reach

  1260. out to him.

1261. Let me say this. It don't matter. It

1262. wouldn't matter if you had the best

  1263. pastor in this world

1264. and he reached out to you and you had a

1265. personal friendship with him every day.

1266. If you decided in your mind that you was

1267. done, it wouldn't matter how good of a

  1268. preacher you had. You're

1269. >> right. You could still get up and walk

1270. away if you get your eyes on God, right?

  1271. >> Off of God.

1272. If you mess up, it'll not be God's

  1273. fault.

  1274. >> It'll not be God's fault,

  1275. >> right?

1276. Father, I pray in Jesus name.

1277. Lord, would you help us to decide?

1278. Lord, help us to decide which side of

1279. the fence we're going to get on them.

1280. >> Lord, if we're going to do it right, are

  1281. we going to dillydally?

1282. If we're going to really love you or if

1283. we're just going to be lazy and sit back

  1284. and do nothing.

1285. Lord, you told the church of Leadyia,

  1286. you said you're lukewarm.

1287. I spew thee out of my mouth. I would

1288. that you were cold or hot.

  1289. Lord, that's where we're living at.

1290. Lord, I pray in Jesus name, God, if

1291. there's somebody on the fence tonight, I

1292. pray they'd make the decision.

1293. Lord, I pray, Father, that

1294. anything that I've said may be

1295. misconstrued. I pray you'd clean that up

1296. for me. And God, I didn't want to say

1297. anything to hinder or hurt tonight, but

1298. Lord, I just want to tell my heart.

1299. Lord, you put it in there.

1300. And God, I know if it grieves me, I know

  1301. it grieves you.

1302. Lord, would you help us? Help us to be

  1303. obedient to you.

1304. These are praying tonight, I got to ask

  1305. you this.

  1306. Say, "Preacher, I

1307. I come tonight and preacher, it's been

  1308. weighing on me.

1309. Preacher, it's been weighing on me.

1310. Something been pressing on me to just

  1311. quit.

1312. Try it maybe somewhere else."

  1313. Say, "Preacher, I I can't say that. I

1314. can't admit to that. I tell you the you

1315. might find some freedom you can't

  1316. understand.

1317. >> If you'd be honest with God tonight, you

1318. say, "Preacher, I was ready to quit."

1319. Preacher, if you'll pray for me and God

1320. will help me. I'm going to go on another

  1321. day.

1322. I'm going to hang with it a little bit

  1323. longer.

1324. You be honest tonight. Anybody here like

  1325. that?

1326. Preacher, I just ready to quit.

  1327. Just be honest.

1328. I'll pray for you tonight.

1329. I'll tell you this, you don't have to

  1330. tell me.

1331. I know God sent this message tonight

  1332. because you are.

1333. And you know what Paul told the

1334. Galatians church? He said, "Be not weary

  1335. and welloing.

1336. Sometimes it's all you can do to get

  1337. here.

  1338. Don't quit coming."

  1339. >> Yes.

1340. >> Sometimes it's all you can do to get up

1341. out of bed and go another day. But don't

  1342. quit getting up.

  1343. >> Yes.

1344. >> Don't quit picking your Bible up.

1345. >> You say, "What will it be if I don't?"

  1346. It'll be rebellion's what it'll be,

  1347. right?

1348. to put your Bible down

  1349. in your darkest hour,

1350. to shut your prayer closet door

  1351. on the hard days,

  1352. to walk away.

1353. The devil says it'll be easier, but let

  1354. me remind you,

  1355. it'll never be easier.

  1356. Because rebellion,

1357. do you hear me tonight, church?

  1358. Rebellion always brings confusion.

1359. Father, I pray in Jesus name once again.

1360. Lord, would you help us tonight to

1361. receive this truth? Help us not rebel

  1362. against you.

1363. Draw us near unto you,

1364. Lord, that we might not ever rebel. You

1365. said in your word, rebellion is as the

  1366. sin of witchcraft.

1367. Lord, let us not rebel against you,

1368. but Lord, let us wait on you. And you

1369. said, "They that wait upon the Lord

1370. shall renew their strength." Lord, we

1371. need a renewal. God, would you give us

1372. that, Lord? I pray this sober warning

1373. tonight will wake us all up

1374. and help us be aware. Lord, we love you.

1375. Thank you for loving us in Jesus name.

  1376. Amen.
