  1. All right, we'll go ahead and get

  2. started.

  3. Give everybody a minute to get in here.

  4. All right. Thank you for being here

  5. today. Appreciate each one of you. And

  6. uh it's good to see you. And uh

  7. this rainy weather has got us all out of

  8. whack, but uh it's been a while since

  9. we've seen it, but I'm sure thankful for

  10. it, aren't you?

  11. >> And it's good to see it. Appreciate it.

  12. And glad to be back this morning. just a

  13. couple of things we'll go over and then

  14. we'll uh get into our prayer request

  15. time

  16. and uh

  17. if there's more than three or four out

  18. there go out somebody go out there and

  19. run them in here and two of them is good

  20. enough.

  21. are not going to avoid me today.

  22. All righty. I hope you had a good week

  23. this week. Thank the Lord for his

  24. blessings. I do appreciate Brother Wayne

  25. uh coming this past Wednesday night and

  26. filling in for us. And he's always such

  27. a blessing and I appreciate him very

  28. much. Did a great job on Wednesday. and

  29. I appreciate you being faithful and

  30. being in your place on Wednesday night.

  31. Um do do uh uh remember him and his

  32. family in prayer. He's preaching a whole

  33. lot and thankful for that. Um but pray

  34. the Lord will continue to give him the

  35. open door as he goes forth preaching. Uh

  36. but I do appreciate you uh being here on

  37. Wednesday night and appreciate your

  38. prayers for us in our travels. We had a

  39. good time this week and a great time of

  40. rest and so I appreciate that and your

  41. prayers for us. It's a blessing. So, all

  42. right, announcements here uh this

  43. morning. Today is friends and family

  44. day. So, I hope you've invited uh some

  45. folk to come out and be with us. Already

  46. heard good reports about that. So,

  47. looking forward to seeing everybody

  48. today, but do be much in prayer um for

  49. the service today and everything that'll

  50. go on after that. Just pray God will get

  51. glory. I tell you what, we need more

  52. than anything, more than them bouncy

  53. houses, more than the food, we need to

  54. see somebody get saved today. And uh

  55. that's burden the Lord put on my heart

  56. um this this past week and really would

  57. love to see somebody get saved today. So

  58. remember that uh if you would please

  59. pray that God will just have his way and

  60. we'll have the singing this afternoon

  61. and then the service will be outside um

  62. weather permitting at 4:30 and brother

  63. Anderson will be here preaching this

  64. afternoon. So remember that as he comes

  65. in. He's preaching in Reedsville this

  66. morning and then he'll be in uh this

  67. afternoon to be with us tonight. So pray

  68. for him. Uh Safe Travels and By Grace

  69. will be here with us singing. So pray

  70. for them as they come in this afternoon

  71. as well. Remember that. And then I will

  72. make mention of this. We were going to

  73. have Youth Sunday on next Sunday. Um but

  74. just due to certain things, we're going

  75. to postpone that for the time being.

  76. When I get that uh worked out, let you

  77. I'll let you know when we're going to do

  78. that. Um but we're going to move that

  79. back for the time being. And so um with

  80. that being said, uh youth Sunday is

  81. postponed, but we are going to be having

  82. our men's and ladies fellowships there

  83. that week. Uh so remember that the 1st

  84. and the fourth and then um the the uh

  85. multiplicity of camps that we're

  86. involved in is going to be starting off

  87. um there the week of the eth junior camp

  88. there at Gospelite. And so don't forget

  89. about that. if you signed your uh kids

  90. up to go to junior camp. Um that'll be

  91. the 8th through uh the 11th there of

  92. June. And then Bible school will be

  93. kicking off on the 14th. All right. And

  94. we're going to try to have visitation uh

  95. up coming up to these these days and

  96. where the summer nights are longer. We

  97. probably are going to do them in the

  98. evening looking like a Thursday evening,

  99. something like that. And so I know busy

  100. things of that nature some be gone.

  101. We're just going to be doing that

  102. periodically. I'll let you know um by

  103. way of text message uh church message

  104. what days we're going to be doing that

  105. and just be inviting people. All right.

  106. Just be inviting people to our Bible

  107. school and pray the Lord. Uh we'll bless

  108. that and touch it as it's getting

  109. closer. And then homecoming and Father's

  110. Day will be on the 21st, the weekend

  111. after that. And so we'll have a meal

  112. that day immediately following uh the

  113. morning service. And then there'll be no

  114. evening service that night. Okay. Um so

  115. remember that if you would please. All

  116. right. You can put this in your calendar

  117. as well. We didn't put it on the church

  118. page, but we are going to be having red,

  119. white, and blue Sunday. Uh on July the

  120. 5th. All right. July the 5th. We'll be

  121. having uh our patriotic uh Huh. It is on

  122. there. Okay. Um we're going to be having

  123. that on that Sunday. And brother Todd

  124. McKon will be here with us. Aby's dad.

  125. And uh um is this is live stream already

  126. on? It is. Well, he ain't going to see

  127. it anyway. We're going to give him a

  128. gift that day um the 25th. Um he's been

  129. this was it this month? This month? 25

  130. years he's been preaching the gospel um

  131. this month. And we're going to give him

  132. a gift that day. He'll be here w with us

  133. preaching. And so we're going to put

  134. together some things for him uh from our

  135. family. And then if the if you want to

  136. do something from the church, if you

  137. want to give, we'll take up an offering

  138. for him um that day. But uh I appreciate

  139. his faithfulness. And you say, "Why is

  140. that?" Well, I appreciate it because

  141. it's his faithfulness, the reason I got

  142. a wife. Amen. And uh I appreciate it

  143. very much. And that's the best thing

  144. he's done for me. Amen. But uh anyway,

  145. we we will do that on that Sunday. And

  146. I'm looking forward to that day. It's

  147. going to be a good day in the Lord's

  148. house. So remember that if you would

  149. please. And then youth camp there in uh

  150. Georgia. Uh brother Straoud's camp uh

  151. teen camp power of two will be the 6th

  152. through uh the 9th there will come back

  153. on that Friday the 10th. So be praying

  154. about that uh as it gets closer as well.

  155. All right. Remember these dates coming

  156. up. I do will let you know this as well.

  157. um our missions meeting and it's crazy

  158. it's going to be here before we know it

  159. but August the 30th through September

  160. the 2nd is missions conference and

  161. brother Gary Chris will be here with us

  162. I've got two missionaries going to be

  163. here with us that week um one of them um

  164. brother Brian Stout missionary uh

  165. they're going to Scotland um he's going

  166. to be here with us uh that week um he

  167. was here during the prayer Baptist uh

  168. missions conference we had a year ago

  169. and he'll be here with us that week

  170. presenting his work as well as brother

  171. Jonathan Ed um he's a missionary church

  172. planner to South Dakota and na Nebraska

  173. um with Macedonia World Baptist Missions

  174. and he'll be with us here on that Monday

  175. night and I've got one more I've got to

  176. get in contact with for that week but

  177. I'm looking forward to having them and

  178. so you be praying about that as it gets

  179. closer as well and just praying the Lord

  180. will supply um all the needs for that as

  181. it gets here we want to be a blessing to

  182. And the reason why I've kind of wanted

  183. to narrow it down to that week is I

  184. really want to just channel all of our

  185. energy into those few days. Um, you

  186. know, I want you to be praying about

  187. what the Lord would have you to give.

  188. We'll take up a special offering um for

  189. the missionaries and the man of God will

  190. be brother Gary will take care of him

  191. from the church. Um, but we are going to

  192. take up a special offering um for those

  193. missionaries that week. And if the Lord

  194. leads us to take them on, we'll do that

  195. as well. And so just be praying about

  196. that uh as it gets closer. Okay. All

  197. right. Uh I'll make mention of some

  198. other stuff here a little bit later. The

  199. cleaning schedule is out there in the

  200. forer and so you can pick that up for

  201. this coming month. Sign up for that um

  202. if you would please. All right. Okay.

  203. Prayer request this morning. Um several

  204. here want to make mention of this

  205. morning. Continue if you would to pray

  206. for Chase Guford. Brother, you got an

  207. update this morning?

  208. Okay.

  209. >> That is wonderful news.

  210. >> Amen.

  211. >> Amen. Amen. And uh that's I don't I I

  212. don't say this to be u insensitive, but

  213. I've never heard anybody that had a

  214. brain bleed to come out of it. And so

  215. that's a miracle. And I know some others

  216. probably have, but I've never heard

  217. that. And so I'm thankful.

  218. She had

  219. >> Amen. Praise God.

  220. >> God took care of that.

  221. >> Yeah. That's good. He's able to, ain't

  222. he? Amen. And I appreciate that. Do

  223. continue to pray for them. Pray for

  224. Chase and I pray for his soul. Amen.

  225. Pray for that. God will help him and the

  226. family there there with him as well. Uh

  227. let's continue. Remember um Miss Janet.

  228. Did anybody hear from Miss Janet this

  229. week? I didn't get to hear from her. It

  230. was put out on the church message that

  231. she's doing. She did well come through

  232. it all for what I've seen her group text

  233. and so let's pray continue to pray um

  234. for her if you would please and remember

  235. them in prayer. I got several other here

  236. but I think we'll just let y'all give us

  237. an update on these. So has anybody got a

  238. special request to prayer this morning

  239. an update? Yes ma'am.

  240. >> Oh no. Is he Is he home?

  241. Let's remember brother Mike in prayer

  242. and uh bathe him in prayer.

  243. >> Amen.

  244. >> And uh

  245. been burdened for him this week. Let's

  246. please pray for him. And Miss Carolyn,

  247. brother Mike had a fall this week. Um

  248. you said you said he fell on his back.

  249. Fell on his backwards.

  250. All right. Let's Let's please please

  251. pray for them.

  252. He had a doctor's appointment coming up

  253. pretty soon, too, to get checked out

  254. again. What he told me last time I spoke

  255. with him, I thought, but he don't.

  256. Let's remember them in prayer and pray

  257. God will touch them. Someone else got a

  258. request this morning.

  259. >> Amen.

  260. Let's continue to remember Miss Haley in

  261. prayer.

  262. >> Someone else.

  263. >> Yes.

  264. >> Amen.

  265. >> Someone else.

  266. Let's remember that.

  267. Let's do remember that this morning.

  268. Someone else. Yes, ma'am.

  269. Let's remember that. That be at Baptist.

  270. >> Okay.

  271. >> All right. Let's remember that this

  272. morning.

  273. someone else.

  274. Yes, ma'am.

  275. >> Yes. Yes. We need to do that this

  276. morning. I was thinking tonight um the

  277. tabernacle children's home. We we uh

  278. mentioned it on uh ne last week about

  279. taking up an offering for them and I

  280. think we had right around $2,500 that

  281. was taken up last week. That's not that

  282. ain't got nothing to do with what the

  283. church said we was going to put on. That

  284. was what was given. And so there were

  285. several people that asked me um if they

  286. could give today. And so if you want to

  287. give to that, make sure you give that to

  288. Miss Stacy today and let her know what

  289. that's for. And we're going to send the

  290. offering as well as an amount out of the

  291. church mission fund to them. And uh if

  292. you have questions about that, you can

  293. see me or Miss Stacy about that and

  294. we'll just let you know what it is. But

  295. pretty sure everybody knows what we was

  296. did talking about when we mentioned that

  297. they're going into a building project is

  298. what they're doing. And so they have to

  299. mandatory by code uh code change

  300. violations, things of that nature. So um

  301. if you want to give to that, just make

  302. sure you get that to her today. And I'll

  303. let me let's do it this way because I

  304. think if we do it this way, it might be

  305. better. After this morning's service,

  306. immediately following the morning

  307. service, we'll we'll have an offering

  308. plate up here at the front and I'll have

  309. one of the men standing by it. If you've

  310. got something you want to give to it,

  311. just bring it and put it in that

  312. offering plate and we'll make sure that

  313. it gets to that. Okay? And so remember

  314. that this morning and we're going to get

  315. that sent out this week. Um if everybody

  316. gets that turned in. All right. So, all

  317. right. Thank you for reminding me of

  318. that. Amen.

  319. >> Um my wife had a blood clock. He didn't

  320. have

  321. >> Yeah.

  322. >> But you know what? I still think about

  323. >> how God been in my family and brother

  324. had stage four canc

  325. still checking good

  326. hear somebody in stage four and all of a

  327. sudden Amen.

  328. >> Amen.

  329. >> And my wife they about gave her up at

  330. Turnerville time they got her to full

  331. sight. Full sight was waiting on when

  332. she got there man they couldn't believe

  333. what a change she had from there to

  334. there. See, I know.

  335. >> The phone started ringing. People

  336. started calling and praying. And I'm

  337. telling you, that's what it is.

  338. >> You're right.

  339. >> My God to do anything,

  340. >> but I I just thank God.

  341. >> And I know this Paul time, but anytime

  342. to thank God when you think I'm behind,

  343. Brother Charlie. I should have been

  344. thank God. Why does it take something

  345. >> to remind me of what God has done? He's

  346. done so much for my family. And I just

  347. thank God. Hey, I thank him and I thank

  348. you for reminding me how blessed I am

  349. when even I don't think I am and I just

  350. love him this morning. I love

  351. >> He is good. Yes, ma'am.

  352. >> Amen.

  353. >> Yeah.

  354. Amen.

  355. >> Amen.

  356. >> It's wonderful.

  357. >> Yeah. Yeah. That's wonderful.

  358. >> Amen.

  359. >> Right.

  360. >> Yeah.

  361. >> That's right.

  362. Amen.

  363. >> Amen.

  364. >> Right.

  365. >> I believe that.

  366. >> God is good. Right.

  367. >> He just touched

  368. >> her.

  369. >> He is able.

  370. He is most certainly able. That blessed

  371. my heart last Sunday, too. That blessed

  372. me. I've thought about that all week.

  373. And

  374. man, I'm thankful.

  375. >> Amen.

  376. >> There's nothing too hard for him. Amen.

  377. Amen. Not a fame too hard for him. Amen.

  378. Is anything else this morning before we

  379. pray?

  380. >> Yes.

  381. >> Amen. We do. Amen. Love you all.

  382. Appreciate you. Amen. I love all of you.

  383. Amen. Appreciate you. Let's continue.

  384. Remember Mac in prayer. pray for him and

  385. uh pray God be with them and let's

  386. continue to remember Miss Anne and their

  387. family as well. Pray God be with them

  388. these days and let's remember brother

  389. Eric and sister Donan continue to pray

  390. for them. God will give them strength.

  391. And uh I tell you this, you know, um we

  392. we ought to always thank God for what he

  393. does for us. We ought to always praise

  394. him. We ought to always worship him.

  395. I'll tell you this. You ought to realize

  396. where you're at in your life. You've got

  397. the opportunity. God convicted me about

  398. this this week. Lord's blessed me and uh

  399. our family, two healthy babies, and and

  400. my wife, we have a good marriage. Lord's

  401. blessed us.

  402. >> And uh God convicted me this week and

  403. said, you know, I've given you the

  404. opportunity to pray for the people that

  405. don't have and are not enjoying what you

  406. are right now.

  407. >> And we ought to give him thanks. We

  408. ought to. And I'm not telling you that

  409. you shouldn't give him thanks. But there

  410. is people that are hurting.

  411. >> Amen.

  412. >> And if you're not hurting, you ought to

  413. be ringing the bells of heaven for those

  414. that are. Amen. And let's pray. Pray for

  415. these families. It's lost loved ones and

  416. pray that God would be with them and

  417. strengthen them during these days and

  418. give them what they stand in need of.

  419. Amen. And so, let's remember that. Any

  420. Is there anything else before we pray?

  421. Amen. Let's pray for those that'll be

  422. here lost today. Amen. And I'm

  423. anticipating a a good crowd today and

  424. thankful for that and thankful for all

  425. the people that's told me they've

  426. reached out and invited folk and you

  427. know we don't have to. We do special

  428. days so they'll come but you ought to

  429. invite them constantly. Amen. And don't

  430. quit doing that and um and keep inviting

  431. them. Keep praying for them and praying

  432. that God will deal with their heart.

  433. Amen. All right. Is there any other

  434. requests before we pray?

  435. Let's continue. remember Miss Maryl as

  436. well. Pray for her. And good to see you

  437. this morning, Brother Todd. Appreciate

  438. you very much. And uh I love each one of

  439. you. Let's come pray and ask the Lord to

  440. help us this morning. Be with us.

  441. >> Amen.

  442. Goodbye.

  443. Father, thank you for this day, for your

  444. grace and your mercy towards us, for

  445. your kindness. Lord, you've been so good

  446. to us. God, I thank you today, Father,

  447. Lord, for this church. Father, for the

  448. sweet spirit, God, for the thankful

  449. hearts this morning, God, I want to say

  450. thank you for saving my soul from hell

  451. this morning. God, I know that's what I

  452. deserve where I should be, but God,

  453. you've been so good, and I bless your

  454. name for it today. God, I thank you for

  455. allowing me the privilege, Lord, to be

  456. the pastor of this church. God, I don't

  457. take it lightly. Lord, you've done so

  458. much for us, Lord. your presence, God,

  459. seemingly, Lord, every service, Lord, is

  460. has moved and worked in hearts. And I

  461. just I just praise you for that. And

  462. God, I ask you humbly that you would

  463. help us this morning. I pray you'll

  464. bless everything that will be said and

  465. done. That you'll get glory and honor

  466. unto yourself. Lord, I pray, Father,

  467. that you'll give us strength, Lord, to

  468. obey the word this morning, to be

  469. hearers, Lord. But not just to be

  470. hearers, but to be doers. God, I ask

  471. you, Father, you'll cleanse us of sin

  472. and of self. Draw us near unto you, God.

  473. I ask you, Father, today for the many

  474. requests of prayer, God, I pray your

  475. will would be done in every heart and

  476. life. God, I ask you humbly this

  477. morning, God, that you would be exalted

  478. in every situation. God, we know you're

  479. able to do exceedingly abundantly above

  480. all that we ask or think according to

  481. the power that workketh in us. And God,

  482. I just pray, Father, that you would

  483. magnify your son today and edify the

  484. church, Lord, and exalt yourself, God. I

  485. pray, Father, you'd move us out of the

  486. way, Father, and we'd see no man save

  487. Jesus only. Lord, you have been so good

  488. to us, God. But Lord, we say thank you

  489. most of all for who you are. Lord, you

  490. are wonderful, high and holy, righteous,

  491. perfect, separate from sinners. Lord, we

  492. love you. And thank you today for being

  493. sovereign, Lord. You're in control,

  494. Lord, in every part of life. And Lord,

  495. we know today, Father, we can trust you,

  496. God. There's nothing, Lord, that's

  497. outside of your reach, Lord, or out of

  498. your hand, God, today. And Lord, I thank

  499. you, Father, that you're able today to

  500. do exceedingly abundantly above all that

  501. we ask or think. God, I pray you'd do

  502. it, Lord, today. Save the sinners that

  503. are nearest hell today and do a mighty

  504. work, God. We ask it, Lord. We pray,

  505. Father, Lord, for every heart that'll be

  506. here. I pray, God, that we'll be

  507. challenged and changed by the word of

  508. God. I pray you'll bless the singing,

  509. bless the offering, Lord, this special

  510. offering we're taking up, Lord, for the

  511. children's home, God. We pray that you

  512. would take that and bless it, multiply

  513. it, God, and use it, Father, for your

  514. glory and honor, God, as it'll go to the

  515. building, Lord, of that home. And Lord,

  516. for those children, God, I pray that

  517. you'll bless them. And Lord, we ask you,

  518. God, for those that have procedures

  519. coming up, that you would be with them.

  520. And Lord, for the many other needs. We

  521. pray for Brother Mike and sister

  522. Carolyn, God, you would please be with

  523. them today. God, we pray, Father Lord,

  524. that you'd help him find some answers,

  525. God, about his condition. We pray for

  526. these others, Lord. Many not able to be

  527. here today. Lord, because of ailments of

  528. the mind and ailments of the body. And

  529. Lord, these bodies, their lives are so

  530. frail. Lord, you said, "What is your

  531. life that's even a vapor that appearth

  532. for a little time then vanishth away?"

  533. God, I pray you'd help us to remember,

  534. Lord, how frail we are to make good use

  535. of the time that you've given us, Lord,

  536. this day. Lord, that we might worship

  537. you, God, because we don't know, Father,

  538. if it'll be our last opportunity. God, I

  539. pray you'll help us to give our all

  540. today. We'll thank you for what you do

  541. cause. We ask it in Jesus name. Amen.

  542. >> Amen.

  543. Where?

  544. All right, take God's word. If you would

  545. please turn with me to the book of

  546. Matthew. Matthew's Gospel, chapter 26.

  547. Matthew's Gospel 20, chapter number 26.

  548. And uh we're going to look here at some

  549. verses today. I I dealt last week in

  550. Sunday school with the transfiguration.

  551. Now, and Lord lines all this up. He puts

  552. us exactly where he wants us to be. But

  553. I want to deal with another event in the

  554. life of Christ in Sunday school this

  555. morning. And uh correlation being those

  556. who are present um at this event here in

  557. chapter 26. And we'll be preaching out

  558. of this chapter in the worship service.

  559. And so this is going to kind of lead us

  560. up again uh into the message. and I've

  561. enjoyed doing this. I hope it's been a

  562. help and kind of give you a little more

  563. background on what's going on in the

  564. text um before we get to the message.

  565. Now, Matthew 26 is a powerp packed

  566. chapter. There's a lot that transpires

  567. in this chapter when you look at it um

  568. in its uh I guess you would say the

  569. value of it vocabulary

  570. wise. Um, this is the longest chapter in

  571. the New Testament by number of words.

  572. The longest chapter by verses is Luke

    Luke 1 chapter mention

  573. chapter 1. And so, Matthew 26 covers a

  574. lot of ground. It covers a lot of ground

  575. uh in the life of Christ. Covers several

  576. days. And we're going to deal um with a

  577. portion of it out of this text. I I wish

  578. that I had time to elaborate the whole

  579. thing, but I'm just going to give you

  580. some highlights here and then we will

  581. deal with the thought here out of the

  582. text. Now, I preached this before at the

  583. church, but some of you may have not

  584. been here uh when I preach this. And so,

  585. I'm not going to give you the outline

  586. that I preach, but I am going to deal

  587. with the subject. So, let's look at the

  588. text. Matthew chapter number 26. And

  589. I'll do my best to hurry this morning.

  590. Matthew 26. Let's begin reading in verse

  591. number 36. Uh, then cometh Jesus with

  592. them unto a place called Gethsemane, and

  593. saith unto the disciples, sit you here

  594. while I go and pray yonder. And he took

  595. with him Peter the and the two sons of

  596. Zebedeem began to be very began to be

  597. sorrowful and very heavy. Then saith he

  598. unto them, "My soul is exceeding

  599. sorrowful even unto death, tear ye here

  600. and watch with me." And he went a little

  601. farther and fell on his face and prayed,

  602. saying, Oh my father, if it be possible,

  603. let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless,

  604. not as I will, but as thou wilt. And he

  605. cometh unto the disciples, and findeth

  606. them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What

  607. could you not watch with me one hour?

  608. Watch and pray that you enter not into

  609. temptation, the spirit indeed is

  610. willing, but the flesh is weak. He went

  611. away again the second time and prayed,

  612. saying, Oh my father, if this cup may

  613. not pass away from me, except I drink

  614. it, thy will be done. And he came and

  615. found them asleep again, for their eyes

  616. were heavy. And he left them, and went

  617. away again, and prayed the third time,

  618. saying the same words. Then cometh he to

  619. his disciples, and saith unto them,

  620. Sleep on now, and take your rest.

  621. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son

  622. of man is betrayed into the hands of

  623. sinners. Rise, let us be going. Behold,

  624. he is at hand that doth betray me. Now,

  625. Father, I ask humbly this morning that

  626. you would help us in this Sunday school

  627. hour. God, I realize I have nothing to

  628. say, God, if you do not speak through

  629. us. And so, Lord, I ask you to give us

  630. wisdom this morning. And uh Lord, give

  631. us the tongue of the learn. Father, I

  632. pray, Lord, the ignorance of our youth

  633. may not show this morning. But God, I

  634. pray that the wisdom of the Holy Spirit

  635. of God would be on display uh from these

  636. scriptures. Help us. I pray this

  637. morning. We ask it in Jesus' name and

  638. for his sake. Amen. This text here this

  639. morning, of course, deals with the

  640. garden prayer. Uh Gethsemane here is

  641. that garden the three G's that are

  642. mentioned leading up to the death of

  643. Christ is Gethsemane there. That garden

  644. that he prayed in Gabatha would be the

  645. place where Jesus was beaten there. The

  646. pavement it's called Pilot's hall of

  647. judgment and then from there he would

  648. exit Jerusalem to the hill called

  649. Galtha. So this begins the trip of

  650. Christ to the cross. And the Bible says

  651. that he has come to this garden with his

  652. disciples. There in the text, the Bible

  653. reveals to us that Jesus has told them

  654. what is going to transpire in verse 31

  655. that the shepherd is going to be smitten

  656. in the text. And he tells them that he

  657. is going to rise again in verse number

  658. 32. And so he is assured he is he has he

  659. is at peace with the fact that he is

  660. going to the cross. It's his purpose.

  661. Amen. and uh he is headed to where God

  662. had designed for him to be from the

  663. moment that he was found in Mary's womb

  664. in conception. And so the Bible tells us

  665. that Peter there, they respond to him

  666. and we often throw Peter under the bus

  667. for his brashness. But this gospel

  668. account tells us uh in verse number 33

  669. that Peter answers first. But in verse

  670. number 35, Peter said unto him after

  671. Jesus tells him he's going to deny him.

  672. He says, "Though I should die with thee,

  673. yet will I not deny thee." And then you

  674. notice that little phrase in the end of

  675. verse 35, "Likewise also said all the

  676. disciples." And so we throw Peter under

  677. the bus. He's the spokesman for the

  678. group. Amen. But you realize the same

  679. issue is found in all of these men. You

  680. say, "What does that derive from?" Well,

  681. it deres from them making a commitment

  682. in the power of their flesh. That's what

  683. it is. And anytime you commit to

  684. something in your flesh, you can just be

  685. sure of it. You're going to fall

  686. through. Amen. It just does not happen.

  687. And we've got to make sure we live and

  688. walk in the power of the spirit of God.

  689. But remember, these men are not indwelt

  690. with the spirit of God. And so, when the

  691. person of Jesus leaves them, they lose

  692. all of their strength in the text. But

  693. that's not what I want to deal with this

  694. morning. But I want you to notice what

  695. happens. Verse 36, Jesus comes to this

  696. place called Gethsemane. He saith to the

  697. disciples, sit you here while I go and

  698. pray yonder. So there is the the eight

  699. in this text that are given here. Judas

  700. has done departed according to uh

  701. chapter number 25 or chapter 26 and

  702. verse number 25. Judas there in the text

  703. which betrayed him answered and said,

  704. "Master, is it I?" And Jesus said unto

  705. him, "Thou has said according to John's

  706. account, we know that Judas then leaves

  707. there u the upper room." And so he has

  708. left with the 11 disciples. So in the

  709. text, the Bible tells us in verse 37, he

  710. took with him Peter and the two sons of

  711. Zebedee. Now, who are those two sons?

  712. That's James and John. All right? So

  713. these three men, just like on the

  714. mountain of transfiguration, he tells

  715. the eight, "You stay outside of the

  716. garden. you pray as we're going to go in

  717. and pray. So Jesus takes these three

  718. with him. And the Bible says in verse 37

  719. that he began to be sorrowful and very

  720. heavy. Now I want to dispel something

  721. right here when we get into this.

  722. There's a lot of disagreement about this

  723. text. What transpires? I'm going to try

  724. to put to rest some of this this morning

  725. if I may. But uh you need to realize

  726. Jesus in the garden is not yet bearing

  727. the sin weight of humanity. You say,

  728. "How is that?" Well, the when you think

  729. about the sacrifice of Christ and you

  730. think about all that that entails, if

  731. Jesus presently would have had the sin

  732. weight of humanity on him, he would not

  733. have been able to pray. In this text, we

  734. find Jesus is going in the garden to do

  735. what?

  736. >> To pray. Jesus bears the sin weight in

  737. that moment of separation on the cross

  738. when he said, "My father, my father, why

  739. hast thou forsaken me?" So the sin

  740. weight is not present on Christ. Some

  741. would say uh the agony that he's

  742. experiencing is that sin weight. But I

  743. don't don't believe that in the text

  744. because Jesus is able to pray in this

  745. text. And the Bible tells us here verse

  746. 38, he saith unto them, Peter, James,

  747. and John, my soul is exceeding sorrowful

  748. even unto death, tear ye here and watch

  749. with me. And so it it emphasizes the

  750. heaviness because we know that Jesus

  751. knows all things. Amen. And so the the

  752. the period that he is in here, of

  753. course, he is looking to the cross, but

  754. he knows what is to befall him. And when

  755. I think about his sorrow in the text, I

  756. think about his supplication. And then I

  757. think about also this cup here that's

  758. mentioned in verse number 39 when he

  759. says, "Oh my father, if it be possible,

  760. let this cup pass from me. Nevertheless,

  761. not as I will, but as thou wil." The

  762. question comes to my mind as it as many

  763. uh Bible students have over the years.

  764. What does this cup represent? And so

  765. when I think about the sorrow that Jesus

  766. is experiencing, when I think about the

  767. fact that he in the text is making

  768. supplication to his father, he is even

  769. emphasizing the struggle to his

  770. disciples. Now you think about that.

  771. Jesus is showing them just how heavy he

  772. is.

  773. >> You're right.

  774. >> I'm thankful for what Paul said. He

  775. said, "We have not an high priest which

  776. cannot be touched with the feelings of

  777. our infirmities." Wherever you're at

  778. this morning, he's been there. Amen.

  779. >> He's been there. Amen. And so he's been

  780. touched by that. And and and when I

  781. think about this text, what is it that

  782. made Jesus so sorrowful? And what is it

  783. that drove Jesus to pray in this text?

  784. Now, I would be honest with you this

  785. morning when I when I talk about this

  786. cup, there's many different avenues that

  787. we could go down. There's one particular

  788. uh thing that I believe concerning this

  789. I'm going to try to give to you in this

  790. amount of time. But when I think about

  791. Jesus, what if you if you in your mind

  792. if we we can't fathom this. All right.

  793. But I want to ask you this question.

  794. When you think about Jesus, what do you

  795. think in him? Did what did Jesus dread

  796. the most when he faced Calvary?

  797. What was the thing that

  798. he was most fearful of?

  799. >> Separation.

  800. >> Preach my sermon for me. All right.

  801. But there's no doubt in my mind that's

  802. not all that's all of you wouldn't have

  803. the same answer if we were to ask that

  804. question. All right? Not not knock knock

  805. knock knocking you, brother. That's what

  806. I'm going to talk about in a minute. All

  807. right? But when I think about Christ, I

  808. think about the sin weight that he was

  809. going to bear. Of course, it would be

  810. grievious to him because he was perfect,

  811. pure, and holy. I think, you know, we

  812. think about his death as he was 100% God

  813. and 100% man. Death it had a sting. And

  814. Jesus took that sting. That's what Paul

  815. said in Corinthians. He said, "The

  816. strength of of of death is sin, and the

  817. strength of sin is the law." He said,

  818. "But thanks be unto God which giveth us

  819. the victory through Christ Jesus our

  820. Lord." So, he took the sting of death,

  821. but I don't think it's the sting of

  822. death. I don't think it was the strength

  823. of sin that weighed on Jesus in this

  824. text. But as brother Paul has already

  825. said, I believe it was the separation

  826. from his father. And then that brings

  827. about another question when I look at

  828. this text. Now, if you've heard me

  829. preach this before, you just just listen

  830. to it again, okay? It'll be all right.

  831. But when I think about this cup, if this

  832. cup is not the cup of sin, if it's not

  833. the cup of death, the cup of that sting

  834. of death, if it's the cup of separation,

  835. what do we know about Christ? When

  836. Christ was on the cross, what happened

  837. to him? He bore the sin of all mankind.

  838. He experienced the sting of death, the

  839. sting of death. And what else happened

  840. to him? He was separated from his

  841. father. Was he

  842. >> right?

  843. >> My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken

  844. me? So Christ experienced all of those

  845. things on the cross. And so if we ask

  846. that question, Jesus prays three times

  847. in this text. Oh my father, if it be

  848. possible, let this cup pass from me.

  849. Verse 42, he prayed and saying, Oh my

  850. father, if this cup may not pass away

  851. from me, except I drink it, thy will be

  852. done. Verse 44, he went and prayed the

  853. third time, saying the same words. And

  854. this is the question that I posed to you

  855. in this. All right. Did Jesus ever pray

  856. a prayer that God did not answer?

  857. Did Jesus ever pray a prayer that God

  858. did not say, "All right, I'll do it."

  859. And let me ask you this. Would Jesus the

  860. better question is this. Would Jesus

  861. ever pray a prayer that would contradict

  862. the will of God? Come on.

  863. >> Jesus was 100% God

  864. >> and 100% man. You cannot separate the

  865. two. That's

  866. >> right.

  867. >> Jesus in this text, many people say that

  868. he was operating in his humanity, in his

  869. fear and dread of the cross. In his

  870. humanity, he was wanting to get out of

  871. the cross. But we know too many verses

  872. to know that Jesus didn't want to get

  873. out of the cross.

  874. >> It was his purpose.

  875. >> It was why he came. He came to what? to

  876. die. It was his purpose. And so Jesus,

  877. it tells us that he he tells John 12,

  878. the famous account, except a corn of

  879. wheat fall on the ground and die, it

  880. abideth alone. But if it die, it

  881. bringeth forth much fruit. Jesus was not

  882. trying to get out of death. He was not

  883. trying to get out of bearing our sin. He

  884. was not trying to get out of even the

  885. separation because we know on Calvary he

  886. was separated from the father. But when

  887. you look at this verse, all right, I

  888. want to give you this and I don't want

  889. you to miss this. Okay? The Bible says

  890. in verse 39, he went a little farther

  891. and fell on his face, saying, "Oh my

  892. father, if it be possible, let this cup

  893. pass from me." Now, when you think about

  894. the wording that's used in this text,

  895. when he says, "Let this cup pass from

  896. me," you look up that word pass in the

  897. Greek, and this is what it means. It

  898. means to come and then go by. So when

  899. Jesus prays this prayer in the text, he

  900. is not praying that he would not drink

  901. the cup, but he is praying that he does

  902. not have to drink this cup eternally.

  903. Now you say, what why would he have to

  904. do that eternally? Well, to for Jesus to

  905. die on the cross, his death was not so

  906. much physical as it was a spiritual

  907. death.

  908. >> What do we know about Adam? Bible says

  909. God told Adam he said in the day that

  910. you eat of the tree he said in the day

  911. the same day he said in the day that you

  912. eat thereof you shall what surely die.

  913. You say preacher but Adam didn't die

  914. when he ate of the tree. Oh, but he did.

  915. >> You're right.

  916. >> You see the very moment that Adam

  917. parttook of that forbidden fruit in the

  918. garden, he did not die physically.

  919. >> You're right.

  920. >> But Adam died spiritually.

  921. >> Adam was alive unto God. And really when

  922. we think about the scripture, God was

  923. living in Adam,

  924. >> right,

  925. >> in the garden. I'm not got time to

  926. preach all that, but but Adam was alive

  927. unto God. And when he parttook of the

  928. fruit, he died spiritually unto God. And

  929. then 900 some odd years later, he would

  930. die physically as a result of his

  931. spiritual death. And so it is that

  932. spiritual life that equates eternal

  933. life. You're right.

  934. >> Nobody's ever going to live eternally in

  935. the flesh.

  936. >> You're right.

  937. Adam when he died spiritually he lost

  938. the privilege of living eternally and so

  939. because of that his flesh became corrupt

  940. and he had to die but you see Jesus the

  941. Bible says without the shedding of blood

  942. there's no remission so there must be a

  943. sacrifice and so for Jesus to die and be

  944. an eternal sacrifice what did he have to

  945. do he had to die spiritually

  946. >> you're right

  947. >> and I submit to you on Calvar's cross

  948. when Jesus was hanging there When he

  949. said, "My God, my God, why hast thou

  950. forsaken me?" Jesus was alive

  951. physically. But in that moment, he died

  952. spiritually. You say, "How is that?"

  953. Well, the Bible says that the sky went

  954. black.

  955. >> The earth shook. God the father, what do

  956. we know it as? He turned his back on his

  957. son

  958. >> because he could not look at him as he

  959. bore the weight of yours and my sin.

  960. >> So Jesus suffered that separation from

  961. the father on the cross. That is

  962. spiritual death. It's separation from

  963. God. And so on the cross, he suffered

  964. that separation from the father at the

  965. while he was there, he hung there. And

  966. then at the ending, just before he died

  967. physically, what does the Bible say?

  968. Jesus said, the last saying of the

  969. cross, father, into thy hands I commend

  970. my spirit. So you know what had

  971. happened? That spiritual death had what?

  972. It had passed,

  973. >> right? Jesus. You say, "Preacher, how is

  974. it that a man when he dies goes to hell

  975. and suffers spiritual death eternally?"

  976. Because we are already dead spiritually.

  977. >> You're right.

  978. >> When Jesus died, you know what happened

  979. to him? His sacrifice was a spiritual

  980. sacrifice. So in about 2 or three hours

  981. time, Jesus offered an eternal sacrifice

  982. >> for sin. And his prayer was this in the

  983. text. Notice it. Oh my father, if it be

  984. possible, let this cup pass from me.

  985. Nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou

  986. wilt. Now, if you've heard me preach

  987. this, you know the driving force of the

  988. message is this. That Jesus was willing

  989. to be eternally separated from the

  990. father,

  991. >> right?

  992. >> So that you and I could be saved.

  993. >> So when I look at this text, you say,

  994. "Well, what does that have to do with

  995. this cup?" Jesus is asking that God

  996. would allow him to live with him again.

  997. You say, "Well, God answered that

  998. prayer." He did. number one in his

  999. resurrection because he got up again.

  1000. Amen.

1001. >> But you know what? He also answered his

1002. prayer. What he prayed in John 17. We'll

1003. turn there and look at this in a minute.

1004. But he also ascended. He didn't just

1005. raise He wasn't just resurrected to live

1006. on the earth, but he was raised to live

1007. in glory. I want you to listen to what

1008. Jesus said. Now, mind you, this is

1009. before the cross. John 17.

1010. John chapter 17. Listen to what he says.

    John 17 chapter mention

  1011. John 17 23

1012. Jesus says in his great intercessory

1013. prayer for the church, the disciples,

1014. Christians of all ages, he said in verse

1015. 23, I am them, thou and me. Or verse 22,

1016. notice this. And the glory which thou

1017. gavest me, I have given them that they

1018. may be one even as we are one. I in them

1019. and thou in me, that they may be made

1020. perfect in one, and that the world may

1021. know that thou has sent me and hast

1022. loved them as thou hast loved me. Now

1023. listen to what Jesus said in verse 24.

1024. Father, I will that they also whom thou

1025. has given me, notice this, be with me.

1026. What's that say? Where I am, that they

1027. may behold my glory which thou has given

1028. me. For thou loved me before the

1029. foundation of the world. Oh righteous

1030. father, the world hath not known thee,

1031. but I have known thee. And these have

1032. known that thou has sent me. And I have

1033. declared unto them thy name and will

1034. declare it that the love wherewith thou

1035. hast loved me may be in them and I in

1036. them. So Jesus in his prayer reveals

1037. that his purpose of going to the cross

1038. was that when he would die there, he

1039. would bring eternal life to the souls of

1040. men that would believe in him. And then

1041. what would he do? He would ascend first.

1042. He would be what? The first begotten of

1043. the dead, the firstborn among many

1044. brethren. the Bible says. And so the

1045. first resurrection was Christ. The

1046. second resurrection will be at the

1047. rapture. Amen. When the church is

1048. raptured out, the dead in Christ shall

1049. what? Rise first. Then we which are

1050. alive remain shall we caught up together

1051. with him in the clouds to meet the Lord

1052. in the air. And so shall we ever be with

1053. the Lord. And this is made possible

1054. because God answered Jesus prayer.

  1055. >> Amen.

1056. >> In Matthew chapter number 26. You say,

1057. "Well preacher, that raises a greater

1058. question. And if Jesus already knew God

1059. would answer his prayer, why did he pray

  1060. it?

1061. Let me ask you, how many prayers do you

1062. pray and get answered? And you think

1063. God's not going to answer them? Go

  1064. ahead.

  1065. >> Amen.

1066. >> James said it this way. He said, "If any

1067. of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God.

1068. >> He giveth all men liberty that breathe

1069. not, and it shall be given to him." He

1070. But then he said after that, he said,

1071. "But let him ask in faith."

  1072. >> Right?

1073. >> Nothing wavering. What does that mean?

1074. When you pray, what do you do? You

  1075. believe.

1076. >> Amen. And our belief is founded upon

1077. what God has done. But more than that,

1078. it's founded upon who he is. And when we

1079. pray, believe and God will answer that

  1080. prayer. You're

  1081. >> right.

1082. >> So Jesus prayer was answered in the

1083. text. Notice this. And we'll be done

  1084. this morning. I know that's a quick

1085. synopsis of that, but if you have

1086. questions about it, feel free to ask.

1087. Jesus invites his disciples in the text.

1088. Verse number 41. Listen to what he says.

1089. Watch and pray that you enter not into

1090. temptation. The spirit indeed is willing

1091. but the flesh is weak. Now I might

1092. remind you of this. All right. These men

1093. are not indwelt by the Holy Ghost of

1094. God. And so what is he saying in this

1095. text? He is saying all right in within

1096. you you are you you are willing to pray

1097. but the flesh your flesh you're robed

1098. in. Man is what? Body, soul and spirit.

1099. And so Jesus, his influence on them,

1100. they were not indwelt by the spirit, but

1101. Jesus influence on them was an influence

1102. on their human spirit. You're

  1103. >> right.

1104. >> Remember what Paul said in Romans? He

1105. said, "For the spirit, big S, the Holy

1106. Spirit, bears witness with our spirit."

1107. That's man's spirit. That we are what?

1108. The children of God. God consciousness

1109. comes through the human spirit. So Jesus

1110. says in the text, "Watch and pray that

1111. you enter not into temptation." The

1112. spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh

1113. is weak. Now, what interests me about

1114. this is that the function of this is the

1115. same way because we want this is what we

1116. want. All right? And this I didn't want

1117. to veer off in this, but God is going to

1118. let me do this. Okay.

1119. What we want, we want the Holy Spirit to

  1120. tell us to pray.

  1121. >> You're right.

1122. >> We want a supernatural force every day

1123. of our life to say, "All right, you got

1124. to get down and pray." And pretty much

1125. put his the spirit of God's hand on the

1126. back of our neck and push us down.

  1127. You're right.

  1128. >> That's what we want.

1129. >> But Jesus says this.

1130. >> Look what he says. Watch and pray. Now,

1131. who what is Jesus? He's the word. That's

  1132. >> right.

1133. >> The only thing we are going to have to

  1134. influence us to pray.

  1135. >> You're right. Go ahead.

1136. >> He said, "Watch and pray that you enter

1137. not in temptation. Your spirit,

1138. what I put in you is willing, but what?

1139. The flesh is weak." You know what

  1140. hinders you from prayer?

  1141. >> The flesh.

  1142. >> You're right. forgive you.

  1143. >> You don't want to.

1144. >> Look what Jesus says in the text. Look

1145. what happens to him. He went away again

1146. and prayed the second time. Prayed

1147. saying, "Oh my father, this cup may not

1148. pass away from me except I drink it. Thy

1149. will be done." Verse 43. And he came and

1150. found them what? Asleep again.

1151. What is this because of? It's because of

1152. the weakness of their flesh. The Bible

1153. says, "For their eyes were heavy." You

1154. notice that Jesus doesn't speak to them

1155. again. Verse 44, he left them and went

1156. away again and prayed the third time

1157. saying the same words. Now you say,

1158. "Preacher, why is Jesus pressing them to

1159. watch and pray because he knows what's

  1160. coming."

  1161. >> You're right.

1162. >> And when the master is taken, when Jesus

1163. would be taken from them, you know what

1164. was going to happen? The influence that

1165. they had of his life would be removed.

1166. >> You know what? There's going to be

1167. periods in your life where you're going

1168. to have to pray because you know it's

1169. the only thing you can do. You're right.

1170. >> But you're going to have to choose to do

  1171. that.

  1172. >> You're right.

1173. >> You're not going to want to.

  1174. >> It's not going to be something you're

1175. like, well, you know, I I just, you

1176. know, this this urge on the inside just

1177. like I've got to go pray. No, you just

1178. have to make a conscious choice.

  1179. >> It's time to pray.

  1180. >> You're right.

1181. >> And Jesus says this in the text, verse

1182. 45, then cometh he to his disciples, and

1183. saith unto them, sleep on, and take your

1184. rest. Be the hour is at hand, and the

1185. Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of

1186. sinners. Now, what I'll be dealing with

1187. in the worship service today is the next

1188. several verses in this text. But I want

1189. to take this time to point out and

1190. remind you again, the Bible says, "We

1191. have not high priests cannot be touched

1192. with the feelings of our infirmities."

1193. And so Jesus saw the sorrow of these

1194. boys. And you remember Luke's account,

1195. Luke 23, the Bible says when Jesus came

1196. back to him, remember what it's the text

1197. literally says, preached a message on

1198. here one time says he found them

  1199. sleeping for sorrow.

1200. Their sorrow had become so great that

  1201. they couldn't weep. They couldn't cry.

1202. But you know what? It had become so

1203. heavy that all they could do was sleep.

  1204. >> You're right.

1205. >> And Jesus says this, verse 45, look what

1206. he says. Sleep on. Now, you know what?

1207. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you

  1208. can do is sleep.

  1209. >> Go ahead.

1210. >> You say, "Preacher, were they being

1211. spiritual at this time? That's all they

  1212. could do.

1213. >> They couldn't do anything else." And you

1214. know what Bible said in verse 46, he

1215. tells them, "Behold, the hour is at

1216. hand. The son of man has betrayed the

1217. hands of sinners." Verse 46, "Rise, let

1218. us be going. Behold, he is at hand that

1219. doth betray me." So Jesus comes to him

1220. and wakes them up again. Remember these

1221. men are at the order of the Lord. And

1222. what they were doing is they were

1223. faithful to follow him. But you know

1224. what? They went, they had to go to a

1225. place in this text, you'll find in the

1226. next chapter, they went with him as far

1227. as they could go. And you know what?

1228. Because of the cross, because of that

1229. judgment, what did they do? They forsook

  1230. him.

  1231. >> Right?

  1232. >> And here's what'll happen. All right? I

  1233. know sometimes prayer,

1234. sleep, those types of things, when we

1235. think about the spiritual man, you need

1236. to sleep. Amen. And this is this is

1237. something you can learn about in health.

  1238. I I did a study on this a while back.

1239. I'm not here to give you a health

1240. lesson, but somebody said that the best

1241. sleep, the best the people that have the

1242. most mental stability and are best

1243. spiritually are people who get between

1244. about 6 hours to 8 hours of sleep a

1245. night. And the reason why I brought that

1246. up is this. These boys hadn't slept at

  1247. all. You're

  1248. >> right.

1249. >> Where they have come to in this text,

1250. what you look at in this chapter,

1251. they've been in the upper room. It's

1252. evening time. It's actually going on up

1253. into the night. Really, I believe it's

1254. on up in the night when they come and

1255. get Jesus in this text. And so, they're

1256. sleeping because their body is shutting

1257. down. Sometimes you have to do that.

1258. >> But here's what they missed. All right.

1259. In that upper room, the fellowship that

1260. they have with Christ and and really all

1261. this comes back to the fact that they

1262. were not yet indwelt with the Holy

1263. Spirit. But the truth is that there were

1264. people, there was just a a couple, amen,

1265. that did not walk away from Christ at

1266. the cross. There was that one man on the

1267. cross that did believe. But you remember

1268. Mary of Bethany, she stood there at the

1269. cross and she believed. You're

  1270. >> right.

1271. >> And all the disciples forsook him and

1272. fled. Why was that? Because they were

1273. too tired to remain faithful. If I could

1274. say anything to a church this to the

1275. church this morning in a day of

1276. busyness, and this is a really loose

1277. application, but if I could say anything

1278. to you in a day of busyness like we're

1279. living in today, don't get too busy to

  1280. pray.

  1281. >> You're right.

  1282. >> Because here's what'll happen.

1283. You'll you'll find that your sleep is

1284. taking up your prayer time.

1285. >> Because everything else is taking up

  1286. your sleep time.

  1287. >> You're right.

1288. need to make sure that you're balancing

1289. your life right. I don't know why the

1290. Lord told me to put that in there, but

1291. I'll be honest with you. I've been

1292. convicted this past week. I mentioned it

1293. this morning, prayer time, convicted

1294. about the fact that God has blessed.

1295. He's been good in my life. And I ought

1296. to be praying for those that don't enjoy

1297. the same blessings that I do.

  1298. >> You're right.

1299. >> They're not in the same stage of life.

1300. Because here's the thing about it. When

1301. I get to the place where you are, in a

1302. place of brokenness and sadness and

1303. sorrow, I'm going to want you to be

  1304. praying for me.

  1305. >> Amen.

1306. >> And it's going to require us to have our

  1307. life balanced, right?

  1308. >> Know that's probably more I don't not

1309. trying to give you a psychological

1310. sermon, but truth is this morning our

1311. prayer life suffers because we're too

  1312. busy.

  1313. >> You're right.

1314. >> Maybe if you back off a little bit and

1315. get a little more sleep, maybe you have

1316. some time to pray. So, amen. I hope to

1317. take that for what it's worth.
