  7. Pastor Charlie Branch with a word from

  8. God.

  9. >> Amen.

  10. I tell you what worship is.

  11. It's honesty before the Lord.

  12. >> Amen. I don't know a more humble man in

  13. this building than that man right there.

  14. Amen. Just wants to sing for his Lord. I

  15. tell you this, if we get our own ideas

  16. and opinions out of the way, it would

  17. probably help our worship a whole lot.

  18. Amen. And uh I like what that that song

  19. says. I don't know how he did it. All I

  20. know is that I was blind. Now I see.

  21. Amen. And I can tell you this. If you

  22. ever been saved, you know exactly what

  23. that means. Amen. And I bless the name

  24. of the Lord for it. So good to have my

  25. father-in-law, Brother Todd McKon, here

  26. with us tonight. And I appreciate him so

  27. very much. And looking forward to

  28. hearing what he has for us. You going to

  29. help the preacher tonight?

  30. >> Amen. You help him preach. And I tell

  31. you this, I know he'll feed our souls.

  32. And I know what we need tonight. And we

  33. need a touch from heaven is what we

  34. need. And so you pray that God would

  35. help him tonight. preacher, you come and

  36. you share with us what the Lord has

  37. placed upon your heart and close it out

  38. how you see fit.

  39. >> Amen. Exodus chapter number five

  40. tonight. Exodus chapter number five. It

  41. is good to be in church. Amen.

  42. Appreciate the Lord letting us be here

  43. today. And I so I was sitting there

  44. thinking while the brother was singing,

  45. I was just thinking about how good God's

  46. been to me.

  47. >> Amen.

  48. And uh

  49. when God saved me, I had no idea what he

  50. was going to do. And uh God called me

  51. into ministry. I had no idea what he was

  52. going to do. And uh Missy and I tried to

  53. have children for a long time. I don't

  54. know if I ever I've ever told all that

  55. here, but and uh struggled, went through

  56. a lot of things. And then God gave us

  57. Abby. And uh and I was just sitting

  58. there thinking how that here I am now my

  59. my baby girl

  60. and uh she's married to the pastor of

  61. this church

  62. >> and God has put them here and they're

  63. serving and uh I don't deserve for God

  64. to bless my family like that. And uh but

  65. he has been so good to us and I and I

  66. bless his name. Amen.

  67. >> And I thank the Lord for it. But I I

  68. mean, God has been so so so good to my

  69. family, and I'm I'm so thankful for it.

  70. Uh I tell you, if I got what I deserve,

  71. I'd be in hell. But I sure am grateful.

  72. God saved me. And uh I appreciate the

  73. blessings of God on every way. Amen. I

  74. appreciate God sending Charlie in our

  75. life. And uh and and uh was joking there

  76. a moment ago. Somebody said that he said

  77. you was hard on him. And I said, "Well,

  78. I tried to run him off." if I really did

  79. didn't do any good. Amen.

  80. But I am glad I wasn't able to. I

  81. appreciate him and how God is using him

  82. here is uh it excites me. Amen. And I

  83. know y'all are you need to be thankful

  84. for that God sent you a man that'll

  85. preach this book without fear and favor

  86. of man. Amen. And uh and I I thank the

  87. Lord for him and how God's using him and

  88. how God's using Abby and their family

  89. here. And uh and I appreciate the Lord.

  90. Amen. Being so kind to us. And I'm just

  91. kind of overwhelmed. Just be honest

  92. about it. And uh God has been so good.

  93. Exodus chapter number five tonight.

  94. Exodus chapter number five. If you're

  95. familiar with you with your Bible, I

  96. trust that you are, you understand what

  97. what's going on in Exodus chapter number

  98. five. And the children of Israel been in

  99. bondage for some time and God is setting

  100. the stage to deliver them out of

  101. bondage. In chapter number five, Moses

  102. and Aaron go into Pharaoh to demand that

  103. they be let go. And we'll pick up our

  104. reading in Exodus chapter number five

  105. and verse number one. If you're able,

  106. would you stand as we read the word of

  107. God? Try not to preach long tonight.

  108. Just got a few simple thoughts and um

  109. just try to be a help and a blessing to

  110. you tonight. Exodus chapter number five

  111. and again verse number one. And

  112. afterward Moses and Aaron went in and

  113. told Pharaoh, "Thus sayith the Lord God

  114. of Israel, let my people go." Watch

  115. this. Here's why. But he wanted them to

  116. be let go that they may hold a feast

  117. unto me in the wilderness. And Pharaoh

  118. said, "Who is the Lord that I should

  119. obey his voice to let Israel go? I know

  120. not the Lord, neither will I let Israel

  121. go." And they said, "The God of the

  122. Hebrews hath met with us. Let us go, we

  123. pray thee, three days journey into the

  124. desert, and sacrifice unto the Lord our

  125. God, lest he fall upon us with

  126. pestilence or with sword. And the king

  127. of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye

  128. Moses and Aaron, let the people let the

  129. people from their works get you under

  130. your burdens? And Pharaoh said, Behold,

  131. the people of the land now are many, and

  132. ye make them rest from their burdens.

  133. And Pharaoh commanded the same day the

  134. task masters of the people and their

  135. officers, saying, "You shall no more

  136. give the people straw to make brick as

  137. here to for. Let them go and gather

  138. straw for themselves. And the tail of

  139. the bricks which they did make here to

  140. for you shall lay upon them, and you

  141. shall not diminish ought thereof, for

  142. they be idol. Therefore they cry,

  143. saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our

  144. God. Let there more work be laid upon

  145. the men, that they may labor therein,

  146. and let them not regard vain words. And

  147. the task masters of the people went out,

  148. and their officers, and they that spake

  149. to the people, saying, Thus said

  150. Pharaoh, I will not give you straw. Go

  151. ye, get you straw where you can find it.

  152. Yet not ought of your work shall be

  153. diminished. So the people were scattered

  154. abroad throughout all the land of Egypt

  155. to gather stubble instead of straw. and

  156. the task masters hastened thee. I'm

  157. saying, fulfill your works, your daily

  158. task, as when there was straw, and the

  159. officers of the children of Israel,

  160. which Pharaoh Pharaoh's task masters had

  161. set over them were beaten, and demanded,

  162. "Wherefore, ye have not fulfilled your

  163. task in making brick, both yesterday

  164. as here to for." Then the officers of

  165. the children of Israel came and cried

  166. unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest

  167. thou with us uh with thy dealst thou

  168. thus with thy servants? There is no

  169. straw given unto thy servant that they

  170. may say to us, make brick, and behold,

  171. thy servants are beaten, but the fault

  172. is is in thine own people. But he said,

  173. Ye are idol. Ye are idol. Therefore, ye

  174. say, let us go and do sacrifice

  175. to the Lord. Let's pray together.

  176. Father, thank you for the privilege to

  177. be in church tonight. God, you have been

  178. so good to us. God, you've been so good

  179. to me, and I want to thank you for your

  180. kindness, God. Lord, to me and my

  181. family. Thank you, God, for loving me

  182. tonight and caring for me. Thank you,

  183. God, for being a friend tonight that

  184. sticketh closer than a brother. Thank

  185. you, God, for how you blessed us

  186. tonight. Thank you for the day that

  187. you've given us. Thank you, God, that

  188. you're in control, Lord. Thank you, God,

  189. that nothing takes you by surprise, God.

  190. Thank you, Lord, that you got all power

  191. in heaven, the earth, and you're able to

  192. do all things, God, above and

  193. exceedingly, we can even thank or ask.

  194. And I thank you for, Lord, just for

  195. that. Thank you for who you are tonight.

  196. And I pray you'd help us, God. I pray,

  197. God, that you would speak to our hearts,

  198. God. I pray you'd give us what we need.

  199. I pray, God, that you would give me

  200. liberty tonight. Bind the forces of

  201. hell, God. Do the work that only you can

  202. do. Move in the power of conviction.

  203. Lord, we'll thank you for it in Jesus

  204. name. Amen. And amen. Thank you for

  205. standing

  206. again. Exodus chapter number five, Moses

  207. and Aaron have went in unto Pharaoh and

  208. demanded that the people of God be let

  209. go. And here's the reason that God

  210. wanted them to be let go. That they may

  211. go out in the wilderness, verse number

  212. one, and hold a feast unto the Lord. And

  213. then in verse number three, the Bible

  214. said that they should go there and

  215. sacrifice unto the Lord our God. So

  216. what's going on? What you'll find is

  217. that uh the Lord wanted uh the children

  218. of Israel be delivered from bondage that

  219. they could go out in the wilderness and

  220. worship. And that's what all this was

  221. about. That's what the feast was about.

  222. That's what the sacrifice was about. It

  223. was about the people of God worshiping

  224. uh the true God of heaven. And so God

  225. desired for them to be set free so they

  226. could worship. And I want to say

  227. tonight, but I'm glad that we have

  228. freedom to worship in the house of God

  229. in this country. Amen. How? But but can

  230. I say this that if you've never been

  231. born again, if you've never been saved

  232. by the grace of God, though you live in

  233. a free country and have the ability to

  234. worship in freedom, you still cannot

  235. worship the God of heaven because you've

  236. not been freed from the bondage of sin.

  237. And that's what's going on in this

  238. chapter. God uh desires for his people

  239. to be delivered from the bondage that

  240. they were under that they could go out

  241. and worship. AND THAT IS STILL the

  242. desire of God tonight for people to

  243. worship him. And you know that the devil

  244. will do everything in his power to try

  245. to hinder God's people from worship. Is

  246. that right? Now in this text, what

  247. you'll find is that Pharaoh begins to do

  248. everything he can to try to prevent the

  249. people of God from going out in the

  250. wilderness to worship. And he does he

  251. uses many tactics here in the next

  252. several chapters uh to try to stop or

  253. prevent the people of God from going out

  254. and worshiping God. And I want to preach

  255. tonight. God help me with all that mind

  256. on this thought. I want to preach on the

  257. enemies of worship. Or maybe I could say

  258. this. The tactics that the enemy that

  259. enemy uses to prevent our worship. Amen.

  260. Now it is God's will for us to worship

  261. tonight. Now, I want to say I think

  262. there's a lot of messed up there's a lot

  263. of uh messed up ideas in this country

  264. about what worship really is. Amen. If

  265. you study the word of God, you'll find

  266. that worship is a main theme throughout

  267. the scripture. Matter of fact, the word

  268. worship in its various forms uh appears

  269. more than 200 times in the word of God.

  270. But the reality of worship reaches far

  271. beyond those references. And really uh

  272. from the opening pages of Genesis uh to

  273. the closing chapters of Revelation, uh

  274. you'll find worship uh woven throughout

  275. every page of the word of God. Amen. And

  276. can I say this that man was created to

  277. worship God. Man's recreated for the

  278. glory of God. And and you know listen,

  279. if man does not worship the God of

  280. heaven, if individuals do not worship

  281. the God of THIS BIBLE, THEY WILL FIND

  282. something to worship. Amen. AND YOU KNOW

  283. WHY? BECAUSE MAN IS CREATED TO worship

  284. God. He's designed to worship God. And

  285. if mankind does not worship the God OF

  286. THE BIBLE, HE WILL WORSHIP SOMETHING.

  287. That's why we have, listen, all the

  288. false uh uh uh religions in in the day

  289. and time we're living in. And that's why

  290. people are prone to idol worship and and

  291. many people worship them theirelves and

  292. their pleasure and their sin. And that's

  293. what we're seeing in this day is PEOPLE

  294. THAT DO NOT WORSHIP THE GOD OF HEAVEN,

  295. the God of the Bible, UH WILL FIND

  296. SOMETHING TO WORSHIP. AMEN.

  297. >> Because my man is created, he is

  298. designed to worship. Now the English

  299. word worship comes from an old word

  300. which means worthiness or to ascribe

  301. worth. It implies honor, reverence or

  302. devotion to something or someone deemed

  303. worthy. How can I say tonight that the

  304. God of heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ is

  305. the only one worthy of our devotion.

  306. He's the only one worthy of our

  307. reverence. He's the only one worthy OF

  308. OUR LIFE. HEY FRIEND, but but he is

  309. indeed worthy. Amen. Hey, listen. And

  310. and I want you to notice that uh worship

  311. is the dividing line between those that

  312. serve God and those that serve themsel.

  313. Amen. NOW, AGAIN, THERE'S A LOT of mixed

  314. up ideas about what worship really is. I

  315. want to say worship is more than uh just

  316. a musical performance. It's more than

  317. just an emotional stir. Worship is much

  318. more than that. AS A MATTER OF FACT, I

  319. believe worship is a lifestyle. Amen.

  320. Somebody said this that worship is the

  321. heart's response to God for who he is.

  322. Amen.

  323. >> It it means again to ascribe worth.

  324. Amen. I MEAN WHAT IS HE WHAT IS HE worth

  325. to you? Amen.

  326. >> How many is he worth our time? Is he

  327. worth our affection? Is he worth our

  328. attention? Is he worth our treasures?

  329. What is he worth to you and I? That's

  330. what true worship is. And uh listen,

  331. somebody said this. Think the preacher

  332. SAID IT THIS MORNING. SOMEBODY SAID THAT

  333. worship uh is is an is a the obedient

  334. response to God's revealed truth. AMEN.

  335. IT'S NOT just an emotional stir. Not

  336. just a musical experience, but is a life

  337. of obedience to revealed truth. Matter

  338. of fact, the first MENTION OF WORSHIP,

  339. Y'ALL NEED TO LOOSEN UP JUST A LITTLE

  340. BIT. I'M going to preach FOR A LITTLE

  341. WHILE. NOW LISTEN ABOUT YOU'LL FIND THE

  342. FIRST mention of worship in Genesis

  343. chapter number 22. How when Abraham was

  344. going to take Isaac and offer him up up

  345. there on Mount Morai and what he's doing

  346. is he's given the Lord the very best

  347. that he has. And what he's saying is

  348. he's SAYING THAT GOD IS worthy of his

  349. best. And so he's going to give he's

  350. going to offer his son unto the Lord of

  351. glory. WHY? BECAUSE HE'S worthy h to do.

  352. And that's WHAT'S GOING ON. AMEN. I WANT

  353. TO SAY TONIGHT CHARLES Spurgeon said

  354. this, "Man was made to adore his maker

  355. and worship is the flower of all

  356. religion." G. Campbell Morgan said,

  357. "Worship is the highest and noblest

  358. activity of which man IS CAPABLE." I

  359. JUST DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TRUE BIBLICAL

  360. WORSHIP IS GOING ON IN OUR CHURCHES.

  361. HAVE FRIEND. LISTEN, I don't know how

  362. much true BIBLICAL WORSHIP IS GOING ON

  363. IN OUR OWN PERSONAL LIVES. AMEN. BECAUSE

  364. IF YOU IF YOU DON'T WORSHIP IN PRIVATE,

  365. YOU WILL NOT worship in public. AMEN.

  366. >> AMEN. FRIEND, I KNOW THERE'S A LOT OF

  367. THINGS GOING ON UH THAT THAT'S JUST A

  368. WHAT IT IS. IT'S A SHOW. AMEN.

  369. >> AMEN. I MEAN, THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS

  370. LIKE THAT GOING ON. It's just a show and

  371. it's just entertainment. But I'm telling

  372. you, FRIEND, LISTEN. IF YOU IF YOU

  373. WORSHIP GOD IN PRIVATE, THERE WILL BE

  374. SOME WORSHIP OF GOD IN PUBLIC. AMEN.

  375. >> AMEN. FRIEND, YOU SAY, "PREACHER, I'M

  376. NOT TOO EMOTIONAL." I'M TELLING YOU

  377. FRIEND, IF IT IF YOU if you ever really

  378. get a hold of the idea how that you was

  379. a wretched sinner, UNDONE, GUILTY, HAD

  380. nothing you COULD DO TO SAVE YOURSELF

  381. AND A HOLY GOD OF HEAVEN WANTED TO HAVE

  382. A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU SO MUCH THAT HE

  383. SENT HIS SON TO COME TO THIS WORLD TO

  384. DIE FOR YOU, THAT HE MIGHT RECONCILE YOU

  385. BACK TO HIMSELF. I'M TELLING YOU,

  386. FRIEND, LISTEN, THAT WILL THAT WILL STIR

  387. UP SOME EMOTION ON THE INSIDE. AMEN.

  388. >> AMEN, FRIEND. AMEN. AMEN. You study the

  389. the Bible though, you'll find there's

  390. many things associated with worship.

  391. Prayer is associated with worship.

  392. >> Obedience, righteousness, all these

  393. things are associated with worship.

  394. AMEN. I MEAN, SOMEBODY CAN COME in here

  395. and raise their hand, talk about how

  396. much they love Jesus, but if they go out

  397. there and live like the devil and listen

  398. and do everything that that that is

  399. contrary to THE WORD OF GOD, THEY'RE NOT

  400. WORSHIPING.

  401. >> AMEN, FRIEND. BECAUSE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND

  402. WORSHIP GO HAND IN HAND. Prayer and

  403. worship go hand IN HAND. OBEDIENCE AND

  404. WORSHIP go hand in hand. Amen. Tonight.

  405. Amen.

  406. >> And if we're NOT WOR LISTEN, IF WE'RE

  407. NOT WALKING A LIFE OF PRAYER AND

  408. OBEDIENCE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, MY FRIEND,

  409. THEN WE ARE NOT WORSHIPING.

  410. >> That's right.

  411. >> Now, in our text, Pharaoh is trying to

  412. hinder. He's trying to stop. And he uses

  413. several tactics, if you will. And I want

  414. to show them to you in these chapters.

  415. And I'll be done tonight. I want you to

  416. notice first of all in in these in the

  417. first several verses here, he uses the

  418. enemy of distraction. Look what the

  419. Bible said in verse number four. And the

  420. king of Egypt said unto them, where

  421. where uh wherefore do you Moses and

  422. Aaron, let the people from their works?

  423. He said, get you under your burden. And

  424. then look what he said in verse number

  425. six. And Pharaoh commanded uh the same

  426. day the taskmaster of the people and

  427. their officers, saying, "You shall no

  428. more give people straw to make brick as

  429. here to let them go and gather straw for

  430. themselves. And the and the tail of

  431. bricks which they did make here to four,

  432. you shall lay upon them, and you shall

  433. not be diminish ought thereof. For watch

  434. this, for they be idol, therefore they

  435. cry, saying, let us go and sacrifice to

  436. our God." Amen. You know what Pharaoh

  437. said? It's simply what he's saying. He

  438. said they've got too much time on their

  439. hands.

  440. >> And you know that true worship takes

  441. time. It takes meditation. It takes

  442. solitude. And what Pharaoh is saying is

  443. they've got too much time on their

  444. hands. AND WHEN THEY'RE think about God,

  445. they think about going out in the

  446. wilderness and and and they're offering

  447. a sacrifice UNTO GOD. AND SO WHAT WE

  448. need to do is we need to get them busy

  449. AND OCCUPY their mind SO THEY DON'T HAVE

  450. TIME to think about going out and

  451. worshiping. And that's why he increased

  452. their burdens. THAT'S WHY HE TOOK THE

  453. STRAW. HE SAID THEY'RE IDLE. THEY'VE got

  454. too much time on their hands. We need to

  455. get them busy so they they don't think

  456. about worshiping God. Amen.

  457. >> And I say a moment ago, it take real

  458. worship takes solitude. It takes

  459. meditation. Amen.

  460. >> And we live in a day when there's so

  461. many things to rob our attention and rob

  462. our affection and we're distract people

  463. are so distracted IN THE DAY AND TIME

  464. WE'RE living in.

  465. >> Yeah.

  466. >> Amen. Friend, I mean, listen, I don't

  467. know about you, but how you get down to

  468. read your Bible and and and there'll be

  469. a notification on your phone and next

  470. thing you know, you pick it up and 20

  471. minutes later, how you you engulfed in

  472. in in looking at something on THE PHONE.

  473. AM I AM I TELLING THAT RIGHT? HOW? WHY?

  474. BECAUSE WE'RE THE DEVIL IS using

  475. devices. He's using things to rob OUR

  476. ATTENTION TO DISTRACT US. BECAUSE HE

  477. KNOWS IF WE'RE NOT meditating on THE

  478. WORD OF GOD. LISTEN, IF HE KNOWS WE'RE

  479. NOT CONTEMPLATING ON THE GOODNESS OF GOD

  480. AND WHO GOD IS, WE WILL not worship.

  481. AMEN. IF WE'RE JUST TOO BUSY AND WE'RE

  482. GOING ABOUT THE day and we don't have

  483. time to read, we don't HAVE TIME TO

  484. PRAY, WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO MEDITATE ON

  485. THE WORD OF GOD, FRIEND, THEY'LL THEY

  486. WILL NOT be true worship.

  487. >> Amen.

  488. >> And and I'll tell you what, listen, uh

  489. he he he he wanted to distract them. And

  490. I'm afraid he's getting that in the day

  491. and time we're living in. He's doing a

  492. good job. I hate to give him any kind of

  493. credit, but he's certainly doing a good

  494. job. Amen. I mean, you come to church,

  495. see people looking at the phone, and you

  496. get people checking this and checking

  497. that and thinking about this and

  498. THINKING ABOUT THAT, AND THEY'RE already

  499. planning the next day and the next week.

  500. You know why? Because we HAVE BUSY

  501. LIVES, AND A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE A LOT OF

  502. THINGS GOING ON. IS THAT RIGHT?

  503. >> AMEN. AND I MEAN, THINGS that are not

  504. necessar necessarily sinful OR WRONG,

  505. BUT WE'RE JUST BUSY. WE GOT TOO MANY

  506. THINGS GOING ON. AND AND LISTEN, PARENTS

  507. ARE ENGULFED IN IN THEIR CHILDREN AND

  508. TRYING TO MAKE THEM A NEXT SUPERSTAR in

  509. the SPORTS WORLD AND AND THINGS LIKE

  510. THIS FRIEND AND THEY LISTEN THEY'RE SO

  511. ENGULFED IN THAT THAT THEY DON'T HAVE

  512. TIME HOW TO WORSHIP GOD. AMEN.

  513. >> AMEN.

  514. >> DISTRACTED AND AND YOU SAY, "PREACHER,

  515. IS there anything wrong with that?" I

  516. AGAIN I I THINK THERE'S a lot of things

  517. that that that we do THAT WE GET

  518. ENGULFED in that WE GET CARRIED AWAY IN

  519. THAT IS NOT necessarily wrong

  520. >> but it's just distracting.

  521. >> Go ahead.

  522. >> Amen.

  523. >> Oh listen friend, we live in a

  524. distracted society. I mean who would

  525. ever thought that there was such a thing

  526. as distracted driving?

  527. >> Amen.

  528. >> Is that right?

  529. >> Amen. Oh, what are you I'm just simply

  530. saying this. He's trying to get their

  531. mind off God. He's trying to get their

  532. mind off the things of God. Amen. Ain't

  533. no wonder we come to church and we can't

  534. have a We can't worship God. We got our

  535. mind on everything else. WE'VE GOT OUR

  536. MIND ON THINGS THAT DON'T MATTER.

  537. Instead of INSTEAD OF PULLING AWAY FROM

  538. THE WORLD AND GETTING OUR MIND FOCUSED

  539. ON GOD. AMEN.

  540. >> AND MOST OF THE TIME WHAT HAPPENS, WE

  541. COME RUNNING IN AND WE HADN'T HAD ANY

  542. TIME WITH GOD DURING THE DAY. AND I

  543. LISTEN, WE COME RUNNING IN, WE AIN'T

  544. SPENDING TIME ALONE WITH GOD, MEDITATING

  545. ON HIM, AND THEN WE COME IN AND WE

  546. EXPECT HOW TO UNPLUG FROM THE WORLD AND

  547. WORSHIP GOD. FRIEND, IT'S NOT GOING TO

  548. HAPPEN BECAUSE WE'RE TOO DISTRACTED.

  549. >> You're right,

  550. >> Amen. He wanted to use distraction. You

  551. said, "Preacher, I'm not doing anything

  552. wrong." Well, I'm just asking you this.

  553. I'm just asking you, are you too busy?

  554. Amen.

  555. >> Amen.

  556. I mean, if listen, if I'm too busy to

  557. read my Bible, I'm too busy.

  558. >> That's right.

  559. >> If I'm too busy to pray, I'm too busy.

  560. Somebody help me. Amen.

  561. >> And we just get too busy. Amen.

  562. >> That's right.

  563. >> Life I I live I understand we have we

  564. have families and we living a chaotic

  565. life. I'm telling you, friend, if we're

  566. going to really worship God, we must

  567. make time. WE MUST MAKE TIME FOR HIM.

  568. AMEN.

  569. >> There's the enemy of I got to hurry.

  570. There's an enemy uh uh uh here of

  571. distraction. But notice this, there's

  572. the enemy of discouragement. In this

  573. chapter, you'll find that in verses 12

  574. down through verse number 21, what

  575. happens is they cannot fulfill their

  576. work. They cannot continue doing what

  577. they're doing. They It's too much for

  578. them and they they can't gather the

  579. straw and make the bricks they're

  580. supposed to. How? Because it's just too

  581. much. It's just they're overwhelmed and

  582. overloaded. And what happens is that the

  583. task masters have began to beat the

  584. people that were in charge and make

  585. their lives more difficult. Why is that?

  586. Because Pharaoh knew if he could break

  587. their spirit,

  588. he would he would keep them from wanting

  589. to go out in the wilderness and worship.

  590. Amen. Can I tell you what he's doing in

  591. the day and time we're living in is he's

  592. discouraging people.

  593. >> I mean, think about it. They understood

  594. that God was g they had God had told

  595. them that they were going to be

  596. delivered. Uh but here finally God sends

  597. Moses and Aaron unto Pharaoh to demand

  598. their deliverance and their situation

  599. does not get better. It gets worse.

  600. >> Yeah.

  601. >> Amen.

  602. >> And they're disheartened and they're

  603. frustrated and a a and they're they're

  604. physically exhausted. And because of

  605. that they get discouraged. And when THEY

  606. GET DISCOURAGED, THEY BEGIN TO LASH OUT

  607. AGAINST LEADERSHIP. That's right.

  608. >> Look, look, look what the Bible said in

  609. verse number 19. And the officers of the

  610. children of Israel did see that they

  611. were they were in evil in an evil case.

  612. And it was said, you shall not finish u

  613. from their bricks of your daily task.

  614. And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood

  615. in the way as they came forth from

  616. Pharaoh. And they said unto them, "The

  617. Lord look upon you and judge because she

  618. have made our savior to be a boore in

  619. the eyes of Pharaoh and the eyes of his

  620. servants and to put a sword in their

  621. hand to slay us." THEY LISTEN THEY THEY

  622. HAVE GOTTEN DISCOURAGED BECAUSE THEIR

  623. circumstances

  624. had not gotten better.

  625. >> YEAH.

  626. >> AND THEY BLAMED IT UPON MOSES and Aaron.

  627. AND THEY BEGIN TO LASH OUT AGAINST THE

  628. MAN OF GOD. UH BECAUSE THEY FELT LIKE IT

  629. WAS THE PREACHER'S FAULT. UH FOR BECAUSE

  630. THEIR SITUATION WAS NOT BETTER.

  631. >> YEAH.

  632. >> AMEN.

  633. >> AND YOU KNOW WHY? THE WHY THE THE REASON

  634. THEY'VE DONE THAT IS because they were

  635. discouraged and they be got bitter about

  636. what was going on.

  637. >> Amen.

  638. And I'm going tell you friend, you get

  639. discouraged and you get upset and

  640. frustrated just about life, about

  641. circumstances, disappointed about things

  642. that are going on. Things are not going

  643. your way. Things don't work out the way

  644. you think they should. Maybe God hasn't

  645. answered your prayer the WAY YOU HOPED

  646. HE WOULD. AND THINGS ARE NOT JUST NOT

  647. GOING. LISTEN, JUST EXACTLY THE WAY YOU

  648. YOU WOULD LIKE FOR THEM TO GO.

  649. >> And you get discouraged.

  650. One of the first things UH THAT WILL

  651. COME OUT of that is he'll rebel OR GET

  652. ANGRY WITH LEADERSHIP.

  653. >> AMEN.

  654. >> That's what's going on in this text.

  655. >> Amen.

  656. >> And what the LISTEN AND THEY WERE SO

  657. DISCOURAGED. THEY THEY WERE upset

  658. before. They were THEY THEY WERE

  659. EXCITED. THEY WERE GOING TO get to be

  660. set free. They were going to get to go

  661. out in the wilderness and worship. BUT

  662. NOW LISTEN, THEIR LIFE IS SO HARD. THEY

  663. GAVE UP THE IDEA OF WORSHIP AND SAID,

  664. "WE JUST WE JUST WANT YOU TO GO AWAY. WE

  665. WANT ALL THIS TO GO AWAY AND WE DON'T

  666. CARE ABOUT WORSHIP."

  667. >> You know why? They're discouraged.

  668. >> That's right.

  669. >> Amen. Now, you may never get

  670. discouraged.

  671. Amen. You Yeah. I mean, you may

  672. everything you you may be on the

  673. mountain top all the time.

  674. >> Amen. But I'm telling you, it's

  675. difficult to worship God when YOU'RE

  676. DISCOURAGED.

  677. >> IT'S DIFFICULT. SOMEBODY HELP ME. IT'S

  678. DIFFICULT TO WORSHIP GOD when things are

  679. not going your way. Or it's difficult to

  680. difficult to worship God uh when things

  681. are when when you're just discouraged.

  682. Amen. Watch what we'll find. I ain't got

  683. time to preach ALL THIS TEXT. YOU'LL

  684. find that there's several things that

  685. that create discouragement in the heart

  686. of the believer. And you'll find every

  687. one of them in this text. Amen. Say,

  688. "What is it?" Well, first of all, there

  689. it was fear. Yeah,

  690. >> they were f focusing on circumstances

  691. instead of on God. Amen.

  692. >> And then then you'll find that that

  693. failure. Amen. Sin or mistakes lead to

  694. discouragement. You'll find that fear

  695. and failure. You'll find a frustration.

  696. Things not turning out as expected.

  697. Fatigue, physical and emotional

  698. exhaustion. AMEN. AND THAT'S WHAT'S

  699. GOING ON IN THIS TEXT. THEY'RE

  700. PHYSICALLY they're emotionally

  701. exhausted. They're they're full of fear

  702. AND THEY'RE FULL OF FRUSTRATION. AND

  703. WHEN THAT HAPPENS, THEY BEGIN TO REBEL

  704. AGAINST THE MAN OF GOD. And sin enters

  705. the camp.

  706. >> Amen. And then there's friction.

  707. >> Amen. A problem in relationships.

  708. Those things bring discouragement in the

  709. heart of the believer. You hear me?

  710. >> And when you're discouraged, it's hard

  711. TO WORSHIP.

  712. >> AND THAT'S why there is such an attack

  713. ON GOD'S PEOPLE. THAT'S WHY WE'RE LIVING

  714. IN SUCH A DISCOURAGED WORLD. IT SEEMED

  715. LIKE GOD'S PEOPLE ARE SO DISCOURAGED, so

  716. defeated. Many people are walking with

  717. their head down all the time, TALKING

  718. ABOUT HOW HARD LIFE IS, HOW HARD

  719. CIRCUMSTANCES ARE, AND THE THINGS THAT

  720. ARE GOING WRONG INSTEAD OF WHAT'S GOING

  721. RIGHT.

  722. >> That's right.

  723. >> Amen. Hey, discouraged. I got to hurry.

  724. I'm trying to get somewhere.

  725. >> There's the enemy of discouragement or

  726. the tactic of discouragement. But I want

  727. you to notice in chapter number eight,

  728. watch this. In chapter number eight,

  729. Pharaoh uses another tactic or another

  730. enemy, I guess you could say, to try to

  731. prevent the people of God from

  732. worshiping. In chapter number eight,

  733. verse number 25, he uses the enemy of

  734. distance.

  735. Look what he said. Verse number 25,

  736. chapter 8.

  737. And Pharaoh called for Moses and for

  738. Aaron and said, "Go ye sacrifice to your

  739. God in the land." And Moses said, "It is

  740. not meat to do so, for we shall

  741. sacrifice the uh we shall sacrifice the

  742. abomination of the Egyptians to the Lord

  743. our God. Lo, shall we sacrifice the

  744. abomination of the Egyptians before

  745. their eyes, and will they not stone us?

  746. We will go three days journey into the

  747. wilderness and sacrifice the Lord our

  748. God as he as he shall command us." So

  749. notice what Pharaoh said in verse 25. HE

  750. SAID, "YOU CAN YOU CAN SACRIFICE, you

  751. can worship, but do it in the land."

  752. >> Yeah.

  753. >> Amen. You say, "What's wrong with that?"

  754. Well, Egypt in your Bible is always a

  755. type of the world.

  756. >> And well, Pharaoh said, "You can worship

  757. your God. You can do all those things.

  758. Just do it right here in the land. Stay

  759. here in Egypt and worship." But you KNOW

  760. WHAT GOD KNEW? GOD KNEW THAT THEY COULD

  761. NOT worship in Egypt. They could not

  762. worship in the world. They had to come

  763. out from among the world in order for

  764. them to worship. Amen.

  765. >> And I'm telling you, the Bible is still

  766. very plain. We're to come out among the

  767. WORLD AND TOUCH NOT the unclean thing or

  768. to separate from this world. But I tell

  769. you, WE LIVE IN A SOCIETY WHERE PEOPLE

  770. WANT TO TRY TO BRING THE WORLD INTO

  771. CHURCH AND THEY WANT TO TRY TO PAINT IT

  772. UP AS WORSHIP. THEY WANT TO BRING THE

  773. WORLD'S MUSIC IN THE CHURCH AND TRY TO

  774. PAINT IT UP AS WORSHIP TONIGHT. BUT I'M

  775. TELLING YOU, FRIEND, FOR YOU AND I TO

  776. REALLY WORSHIP GOD, WE GOT TO COME OUT

  777. FROM THE WORLD.

  778. >> THAT'S RIGHT.

  779. >> AMEN.

  780. >> YES, SIR.

  781. >> HEY, LISTEN. AND THERE'S A COMPROMISE.

  782. YOU CAN WORSHIP NOW. YOU CAN WORSHIP.

  783. JUST stay here.

  784. >> Oh, you can worship God, but just do it

  785. while you're in Egypt.

  786. >> Amen. It amazes me. God, help me. I'm

  787. Lord, help me.

  788. >> It amazes me how many people think and

  789. they will justify their sin.

  790. >> Yeah.

  791. >> AMEN. AND JUSTIFY. HEY, LISTEN. SOME OH,

  792. LORD HELP ME, JESUS. HEY, the main

  793. streak about A MILE WIDE. COME. HEY, I'M

  794. TELLING YOU, LISTEN. CAN I JUST SAY

  795. THIS? SOMEBODY OUT IN THE WORLD THAT'S

  796. SINGING MUSIC THAT GLORIFIES EVERYTHING

  797. THAT BIBLE'S AGAINST. IT GLORIFIES SIN

  798. AND WICKEDNESS AND DRUNKENNESS AND

  799. FORNICATION. I'M TELLING YOU, FRIEND,

  800. GOD IS NOT IN THAT.

  801. AND WE AIN'T GOING TO PULL IN THE

  802. PARKING LOT, LISTEN TO THAT KIND OF

  803. MUSIC AND COME IN HERE AND HEAR THE

  804. MUSIC OF GOD AND EXPECT THE WORSHIP.

  805. >> THAT'S RIGHT.

  806. >> AMEN.

  807. >> AND IT AMAZED ME HOW MANY PEOPLE WANT TO

  808. JUSTIFY.

  809. >> AMEN.

  810. >> THAT'S RIGHT.

  811. >> WELL, THEY TALK ABOUT GOD IN THEIR

  812. CONCERT. I DON'T CARE WHAT THEY SAY

  813. ABOUT GOD, FRIEND, WHEN THEY'RE SINGING

  814. ABOUT EVERYTHING AND PROMOTING

  815. EVERYTHING THAT GOD IS AGAINST. THEY ARE

  816. NOT FOR GOD.

  817. >> AMEN.

  818. >> AND THEY ARE NOT PROMOTING THE GOD OF

  819. THIS BIBLE. AMEN. THEY'RE PROMOTING

  820. FLESH AND THEY'RE PROMOTING WICKEDNESS

  821. AND THEY'RE PROMOTING WORLDLINESS. AND

  822. FOR GOD'S PEOPLE TO REALLY WORSHIP GOD,

  823. WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO COME OUT FROM

  824. AMONG THAT.

  825. >> YES, SIR.

  826. >> AMEN.

  827. >> AMEN. Lord help me.

  828. >> But notice here, notice that so Pharaoh

  829. compromised. Look what he says in verse

  830. number 28. And Pharaoh said, I will let

  831. you go that you may sacrifice to the

  832. Lord your God in the wilderness. Only

  833. you shall not go very far and treat for

  834. me. Oh, you can you can leave Egypt.

  835. Just don't go very far.

  836. >> DON'T DON'T DON'T GO DON'T GET TOO

  837. INVOLVED in this thing. DON'T GET TOO

  838. far away from the world. Amen. I

  839. remember when I got saved, I mentioned a

  840. little bit of it this morning. I I

  841. remember when I got saved, I I mean, my

  842. family was tired of the lifestyle that I

  843. was living and and uh they wanted me to

  844. straighten up. They wanted me to uh you

  845. know, they wanted me to do better and

  846. get off the drugs and all these things.

  847. But I'm TELLING YOU, WHEN GOD SAVED ME

  848. AND I GOT SERIOUS ABOUT SERVING GOD,

  849. THIS LISTEN, THEY THEY wanted me to get

  850. they wanted me to do better, but they

  851. didn't want me to get that saved. YEAH.

  852. >> OH, YOU WENT TOO far now.

  853. >> Oh, I MEAN I MEAN YOU WENT THROUGH YOUR

  854. I MEAN YOU'RE TAKING THIS TOO FAR NOW.

  855. >> YOU'RE GOING TOO FAR WITH IT NOW. YOU

  856. MEAN YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR DRESS? YOU

  857. MEAN YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR MUSIC? YOU

  858. NEED TO CHANGE YOUR LIFESTYLE. YOU MEAN

  859. EVERYTHING NEED YOU'RE GOING TOO FAR.

  860. >> AMEN.

  861. >> Tell it preacher.

  862. >> AND THAT'S WHAT PHARAOH SAID. YOU CAN GO

  863. JUST DON'T GO VERY FAR. OH, YOU CAN GET

  864. SAVED. If he can't stop you from get

  865. saved, YOU CAN GET SAVED, BUT DON'T

  866. REALLY GET SERIOUS ABOUT SERVING GOD.

  867. DON'T REALLY DON'T REALLY COME OUT AMONG

  868. THE WORLD. KIND OF STAY IN between

  869. >> because he knew if he could keep them

  870. close, HE COULD STILL influence them.

  871. >> That's right.

  872. >> I'M GOING TELL YOU SOMETHING, FRIEND.

  873. THE WORLD has got too much influence on

  874. a lot of churches.

  875. >> That's right.

  876. >> And a lot of people in our churches and

  877. they make decisions based on the world

  878. instead of based on the scripture.

  879. Amen. People make financial decisions

  880. based on what's be a worldly ideas

  881. instead of what the scripture says.

  882. >> I DON'T KNOW HOW MANY TIMES PEOPLE CALL

  883. ME AND SAY, "PREACHER, I GOT A JOB OFFER

  884. AND AND IT'S MAKING ALL THIS MORE MONEY

  885. AND I'M I'M GOING TO HAVE TO MOVE. WHAT

  886. DO YOU THINK ABOUT IT?" I SAY, "WELL,

  887. have you have you got a church to go

  888. to?"

  889. >> Yeah.

  890. >> Well, I mean, well, I don't know. I'LL

  891. FIND ONE WHEN I get there. Said it ain't

  892. the will of God.

  893. >> That's right. PREACHER.

  894. >> I SAID IT'S NOT THE WILL OF GOD. AMEN.

  895. >> IF YOU MAKE A DECISION BASED ON FINANCES

  896. AND IF YOU MAKE A DECISION BASED ON

  897. THOSE THINGS AND NOT BASED ON WHAT THUS

  898. SAYETH THE WORD OF GOD, IT IS A WORLDLY

  899. DECISION.

  900. >> AMEN. I'M NOT SAYING WE ARE Y'ALL RIGHT.

  901. I'M NOT SAYING WE'RE NOT TO MAKE MONEY.

  902. I'M JUST SIMPLY SAYING THIS, FRIEND. IF

  903. GOD IF WANTS YOU TO TAKE ANOTHER JOB,

  904. HE'LL ALREADY OPEN A DOOR IN A CHURCH.

  905. HE'LL LISTEN, IT WILL NOT HINDER YOUR

  906. WALK WITH GOD. HE'LL ELEVATE YOUR WALK

  907. WITH GOD.

  908. >> AMEN.

  909. >> That's right.

  910. >> I TOLD MY I TOLD I TOLD OUR DAUGHTERS,

  911. this what I told our daughters. I said,

  912. "Listen, when God sends a young man in

  913. your life, if it's right, if that

  914. relationship is right, CHARLIE DID I SAY

  915. THIS. IF THAT RELATIONSHIP IS RIGHT,

  916. HE'LL BRING YOU CLOSER to God. That's

  917. right.

  918. >> BUT IF IT'S WRONG, IT'LL TAKE YOU AWAY

  919. FROM GOD.

  920. >> THAT'S RIGHT.

  921. >> AMEN. AND YOU CAN APPLY THAT PRINCIPLE

  922. TO EVERY ASPECT OF YOUR LIFE. IF IT'S

  923. RIGHT, IT'LL BRING YOU CLOSER TO GOD. IF

  924. IT'S WRONG, IT'LL TAKE YOU FARTHER AWAY

  925. FROM GOD.

  926. >> AMEN.

  927. >> That's right.

  928. >> Amen.

  929. >> Just don't go too far now.

  930. >> Amen.

  931. >> I got to hurry.

  932. >> Amen.

  933. Amen. There's the enemy of distance.

  934. There's the enemy of division. And this

  935. really what I want to get to. Look at

  936. verse Look at chapter number 10. Look at

  937. chapter number 10.

  938. Chapter number 10. Look at verse number

  939. Look at verse number 10. And he said

  940. unto them, look at verse nine. Let's

  941. just read it. And Moses said, "We will

  942. go with our young and with our old and

  943. with our sons and with our daughters,

  944. with our flocks, and with our herds will

  945. we go, for we must hold a feast unto the

  946. Lord." And he said unto them, "Let the

  947. Lord be with be so with you, as I will

  948. let you go, and your little ones, look

  949. not to it, for evil is before you." Look

  950. at verse 11. Not so. Go now, ye that are

  951. men, and serve the Lord, for that ye did

  952. desire, and they were driven out from

  953. Pharaoh's presence. So, it's what half

  954. Pharaoh says this, he I'm paraphrasing,

  955. but he basically said this, "The men can

  956. go,

  957. >> but the women and children has to stay

  958. behind."

  959. >> Yeah.

  960. Amen. And you know what he's doing? He's

  961. dividing the family.

  962. >> That's right.

  963. >> Amen. He wants to divide the family

  964. because he knows if he can get that

  965. daddy that that man that man those

  966. daddies out in the wilderness and he can

  967. keep those WOMEN AND THOSE CHILDREN, HE

  968. KNOWS that he can influence them. AND HE

  969. KNOWS THAT HE LISTEN THAT HE'LL HAVE

  970. THEM FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.

  971. >> YOU KNOW WHY? BECAUSE GOD'S PLAN HAS

  972. ALWAYS BEEN FAMILY WORSHIP. AND GOD'S

  973. PLAN IS FOR THE MAN TO BE THE SPIRITUAL

  974. LEADER OF THE HOUSEH. AND IF GOD'S MAN,

  975. LISTEN, IF THE MAN IN THE HOME IS NOT

  976. LEADING THAT FAMILY IN A SPIRITUAL

  977. DIRECTION, HOW THERE WILL BE A VACUUM

  978. THERE AND THERE'LL BE SOMETHING THAT

  979. FILLS IT.

  980. >> AND Pharaoh said, "I'll be the one that

  981. filled it.

  982. >> That feels it."

  983. >> Amen.

  984. >> And we live in a day where families are

  985. divided

  986. >> and there's an attack on the homes.

  987. >> Amen.

  988. >> I'm telling you, God, help us tonight,

  989. friend. LISTEN, GOD ALWAYS THERE NEEDS

  990. TO BE FAMILY WORSHIP. But what we have

  991. in the day of time, I've seen it time

  992. and time again where there'll be a

  993. there'll be a THERE'LL BE A HUSBAND THAT

  994. GETS ON FIRE FOR GOD AND REALLY WANTS TO

  995. SERVE GOD AND REALLY WANTS TO GO ALLIN

  996. FOR GOD. AND YOU THERE'LL BE A WIFE over

  997. here.

  998. >> Amen. And she still wants the world. She

  999. still wants to do her own thing. Uh she

1000. does not want to submit to authority.

1001. She does not want to submit to the word

1002. OF GOD. SOMEBODY HELP ME. AMEN.

1003. OR OR YOU'LL HAVE A WOMAN THAT WANTS GOD

1004. AND WANTS TO RAISE HER CHILDREN RIGHT

1005. AND WANTS TO DO RIGHT, BUT YOU'LL HAVE A

1006. MAN OVER HERE, LISTEN, PUTS ON A FACADE

1007. AND TRIES TO ACT LIKE HE'S SPIRITUAL,

1008. BUT THE WHOLE TIME BEHIND THE SCENES,

1009. FRIEND, HE'S NOT LEADING HIS FAMILY IN A

1010. SPIRITUAL WAY, BUT HE'S FIGHTING AGAINST

  1011. THE WORD OF GOD.

  1012. >> THAT'S RIGHT.

  1013. >> AMEN.

  1014. >> That's right.

1015. >> And we see that over and over again.

1016. >> Amen. And he divides the families.

  1017. >> Amen.

  1018. >> Yes, he does.

  1019. >> Mom and daddy are they're they're

1020. they're because one's want to go one way

1021. and others want to go another way.

1022. >> One's want to go God, another Amen.

  1023. >> That's it.

1024. >> Amen. I'm telling you, God's plan is for

1025. a husband and wife, how both of them to

1026. sell out to God and TO GO WITH GOD AND

1027. LISTEN, RAISE THEIR children in the

1028. nurture and admonition of the Lord.

  1029. Amen.

1030. >> I think about this. I'm telling you, God

  1031. helps. Ain't there's no wonder. There's

1032. no wonder our society's in this. And I

1033. thank God for America and I'm thankful

1034. for our country. BUT LET'S JUST BE

1035. HONEST ABOUT IT, FRIEND. UH WE LIVE IN A

1036. SOCIETY THAT'S WALKED AWAY FROM GOD. WE

1037. CERTAINLY HAVE LIVED IN PERILOUS DAYS.

1038. AND OUR SOCIETY, FRIEND, FOR THE MOST

  1039. PART IS GODLESS.

  1040. >> THAT'S RIGHT.

1041. >> AND can I tell you what the PROBLEM IS?

  1042. IT'S THE HOMES.

  1043. >> That's it.

  1044. >> That's exactly right.

1045. >> Parents have the idea where children

1046. make their own make up their own mind.

  1047. God help.

  1048. >> Amen.

1049. >> Oh, THEY THEY THEY OWN THEY CAN MAKE UP

1050. THEIR OWN MIND. YOU KNOW, WHEN MY

1051. CHILDREN MAKE UP THEIR OWN MIND WHEN

1052. THEY GOT on their own. Amen.

1053. >> SOMEBODY HELP ME. AS LONG AS THEY UNDER

1054. MY ROOF AND LISTEN, EATING MY FOOD AND

1055. AS LONG AS I'M PAYING THE BILLS, WE'RE

1056. GOING TO DO WHAT THAT BOOK SAYS.

  1057. >> AMEN.

  1058. >> YES.

1059. >> Say that breeds rebellion. Now, hear me.

1060. Hear what I'm about to say.

1061. >> Listen. Rules without relationship

  1062. breeds rebellion.

  1063. >> That's it.

1064. >> YOU CAN HAVE RULES for your children if

1065. you have a relationship with them.

  1066. >> Amen.

  1067. >> That's right.

  1068. >> AMEN.

1069. >> BUT IF IT'S ALL JUST ABOUT RULES AND

1070. THERE'S NO RELATIONSHIP, YEAH, they will

  1071. be rebellious. Yeah.

  1072. >> But if you'll have a relationship with

1073. your children AND YOU'LL TEACH THOSE

1074. CHILDREN HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

1075. AND THEY'LL WATCH YOU WALK WITH GOD AND

1076. THEY'LL WATCH YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH

1077. GOD, FRIEND, IT WILL NOT BREED

1078. REBELLION, BUT IT'LL PROMOTE A WALK WITH

1079. GOD IN THEIR OWN HEART.

  1080. >> THAT'S RIGHT.

  1081. >> AMEN.

  1082. >> YES.

1083. >> That's right. Amen. Oh, he knows if he

1084. can divide the homes and distract the

1085. families, he can destroy unity. Amen.

  1086. >> And there's no worship.

  1087. >> Amen.

1088. >> Yeah. I think sometimes they know we

1089. come in here and I'm not talking about

1090. just I'm just talking about church in

  1091. general. Y'all y'all know what I'm

  1092. saying?

1093. >> Amen. People come in and they they've

1094. been they've been fighting and bickering

  1095. all week.

  1096. >> Amen.

  1097. >> There's a power struggle in the home.

  1098. >> Yeah.

  1099. >> Amen.

  1100. >> Preach.

  1101. >> Amen.

1102. >> The husband ain't being the spiritual

1103. leader he needs to be.

1104. >> Amen. Wives full of rebellion. Children

  1105. full of rebellion.

1106. >> Yeah. Preach. Amen. You say, "Preacher,

1107. I thought this supposed TO BE

  1108. PATRIARCHY." I'M TALKING ABOUT WHAT'LL

1109. HELP OUR NATION. IF OUR FAMILIES to get

1110. RIGHT WITH GOD, IF OUR FAMILIES ARE TO

1111. GET SOLD OUT FOR GOD AND LISTEN, FOR OUR

1112. MOM AND DADDIES TO GET SERIOUS ABOUT

1113. SERVING GOD AND RAISE OUR OUR CHILDREN

1114. FOR THE NURTURE AND ADMONITION OF THE

  1115. LORD. AMEN.

1116. >> AMEN. Are we okay?

  1117. >> Merlin Manson.

1118. >> Merlin Manson. Some of you may have

1119. heard him. Merlin Mansion is a an

  1120. ungodly

  1121. I don't know what it raw. I don't know

1122. what it kind of music that is. He tries

1123. to put out. It's ungodly. I know that.

1124. >> Wicked. Rips a has concerts where he

1125. rips pages out of the Bible and and just

  1126. blasphemous.

  1127. >> Yeah.

1128. >> And he made this statement. He said, "If

1129. you don't raise your children, I will."

1130. >> Amen. I said he said he said if you

  1131. don't raise your children I will.

1132. >> In other words, if you don't pour into

1133. them, I'll pour into them.

  1134. >> That's right.

  1135. >> Amen.

  1136. >> I'm telling you, friend, don't you turn

1137. out the way they are.

1138. >> We're letting the world pull in our

  1139. children.

  1140. >> Amen.

1141. >> Hey, LETTING THE WORLD PULL IN. ARE YOU

1142. HEARING ME? I TURN THEM ON TO THINGS OF

1143. THE WORLD AND PROMOTING WORLDLY MUSIC TO

1144. THEM AND TURN THEM ON TO WORLDLY

1145. ENTERTAINMENT AND MAKING MORE ABOUT

1146. SPORTS AND EVERYTHING ELSE INSTEAD OF

  1147. ABOUT GOD.

  1148. >> AMEN.

  1149. >> THAT'S RIGHT.

1150. >> AMEN. AMEN. That's the enemy of

  1151. division.

1152. I got to hurry. Give me Let me Let me

1153. give you one more. Let me give you one

1154. more. Look at verse 24. Chapter 10,

  1155. verse 24. There's the enemy of

  1156. dedication.

1157. Chapter 10 verse 24. And Pharaoh called

1158. to Moses said, "Go ye serve the Lord.

1159. Only let your flocks and your herds be

1160. stayed." Well, that sounds pretty good.

1161. I mean, you can go.

1162. You can take your families and you can

1163. go, but just leave the leave the leave

  1164. the herds behind.

1165. >> Leave the animals behind. Well, that

1166. sounds pretty good. I mean, that sounds

1167. good. But look what the Bible said in

1168. verse number 24. And he said, "Let your

1169. little ones also go with you." And Moses

1170. said, "Thou must give us also sacrifices

1171. and burnt offerings that we may

1172. sacrifice in the Lord our God, and our

1173. cattle also shall go with us, and there

1174. should not and hoof be left behind." I

1175. love that. What What's he simply saying?

1176. He said, "You can take the animals." And

1177. Moses said, "No, we must have those

  1178. animals to sacrifice."

1179. >> Yeah. Because when we get out there,

1180. we're going to have something to give

1181. God for who he is. Because he's worthy.

1182. Amen. And what Moses is saying is thank

1183. Listen, he's worthy of sacrifices and of

1184. offering and worship. And when we get

1185. there, we're going to have something to

1186. give him for who he is. Amen.

1187. >> As the world says, the world says there

1188. sal, you know, that we're have there's

1189. salvation without surrender and worship,

1190. without sacrifice and devotion, without

  1191. giving. Yeah,

1192. >> you can get saved, but don't give him

  1193. anything.

  1194. >> Amen.

1195. >> Oh, YOU CAN GO TO CHURCH, BUT DON'T GIVE

  1196. him anything.

  1197. >> Don't offer him

  1198. >> anything.

1199. >> And that's what real worship is tonight.

  1200. Amen.

  1201. >> Here's question. I'm talking about

  1202. worship here. Here here's here's my

1203. question. I'm done. What? Listen. What

1204. is the most important thing in your

  1205. life?

1206. Say, "It's God." Is it?

  1207. >> Is it?

  1208. >> Amen.

1209. >> Say, "It's the word of God." Is it?

  1210. >> Go ahead, preacher.

1211. >> Or do we spend more time on worldly

  1212. entertainment?

  1213. >> Yeah.

1214. >> Than we do the word of God.

1215. >> Come on. God help us.

  1216. >> Amen.

1217. >> I mean, I mean, what is the most

1218. important thing? Do we spend more of our

1219. money on on listen financial comforts in

1220. this world instead of the work of God?

  1221. >> I mean what's the what's THE MOST

  1222. IMPORTANT THING to us?

  1223. >> Amen.

1224. >> YOU SAY MY CHILDREN IS THE MOST

  1225. IMPORTANT THING. Are they?

1226. Amen. Then are you really teaching them

  1227. right?

1228. You really guiding them right? I mean,

1229. what is the most important thing? I tell

1230. you what, I'll tell you what, in in our

1231. society, in my own life, can I just can

1232. I just put it that way? In my own life,

1233. if I ain't real careful, you know who

1234. can be become the most important

1235. person I could say? Me,

  1236. amen.

  1237. If I ain't careful, I'll worship me

  1238. more than anybody else.

1239. And Pharaoh knew that if he could keep

1240. them people from worshiping God, he'd

1241. keep them in bondage and they'd never be

1242. able to fulfill the purpose and plan of

1243. God in their life. Amen. And I want to

1244. say tonight, friend, God's plan for us

1245. to worship. And I just wonder how much

1246. of it's really going on in our lives.

1247. How much really going on in our personal

1248. life? Amen. Let's bow our head for a

1249. word of prayer. I'm going to pray. I

  1250. know it's hard tonight. I know it's

1251. tough, but I'm understanding God help us

1252. tonight. We live in a day of compromise.

1253. We live in a day of wickedness. We live

1254. in a day of worldliness.

1255. And if you and I are going to really

1256. worship God, friend, we're going to have

1257. to get serious about this thing.

1258. And I wonder if there'd be some tonight

1259. just be honest in your heart. You've

1260. been distracted. You've allowed things

1261. in your life to to hinder your time with

1262. God, to hinder your prayer life, to

  1263. hinder your B and you're distracted.

1264. Maybe there's some here tonight. Listen,

1265. you're in church and thank God for it,

1266. but you ain't really serious about

  1267. serving God.

1268. You ain't really serious about doing

1269. something for God. You ain't really

1270. serious about worship. You know what we

1271. ought to do? Lord, to get us all and beg

  1272. God to help us

1273. to worship him because he's worthy. He's

1274. worthy of our life. He's worthy of all

1275. of our affection, all of our attention.

1276. He He's worthy of all of our finance.

1277. He's worthy of everything tonight.

1278. So here's the question. What is he worth

  1279. to you?

  1280. What is he worth?

  1281. Daddy,

1282. is he worth you getting serious about

  1283. serving God?

  1284. Mama,

  1285. IS HE WORTH

1286. MY GOD NOW? IS HE WORTH? You're really

  1287. getting serious with God

1288. and raising them children, right? Young

1289. people, is he worth Is he worth

  1290. everything?

1291. Is he worth you giving up some things?

1292. IS HE WORTH YOU DOING SOME THINGS FOR,

  1293. giving yourself to?

1294. What's he worth to you? Father, thank

1295. you for the privilege to be in church

1296. today. I pray God that you'd help our

1297. hearts, challenge us, and change us

1298. tonight. And Lord, we thank you for it

1299. in Christ's name. Amen. Let's all stand

1300. tonight. Thank you for joining our

1301. service today. We'd love it if you join
