>> Amen. That's only thing matters tonight.

And uh is your name in the lamb's book

of life?

>> And does he know your name? Amen.

>> And uh you can know his lot of people

that went to hell. Knowing his name,

knowing his name very well.

But you know what? One of these days, if

they hadn't stood before him already,

one of these days, they'll stand before

him and he'll say, "Depart from me, ye

that work iniquity, for I never knew

you." Amen. And I'm thankful tonight

that I know him,

>> but I'm a lot more thankful that he

knows me. Amen. I appreciate the Lord.

Take your Bible, take God's word, turn

with me to the book of Malachi again

this evening. Malachi chapter 4 and uh

Malachi 4 · chapter mention

been looking forward to the rest of the

message. And uh

this morning, I believe that's what the

Lord would have us to do. And uh

I told the men in prayer room, I said,

'I know the scripture says his word will

not return unto him void. And uh you

know, I think about the many services

that I've preached the gospel message

and just warned the sinner about hell.

And they've walked away from it. And no

doubt probably some in my lifetime I've

preached the gospel to have already died

and probably went there. And uh you

know, I've often thought to myself,

wonder how it didn't return void in

those situations. And I told those men

in prayer room tonight, I said, "The

only difference is is I did what he

asked me to do." And when he says it'll

not return void, it's going to it's

going to get him glory one way or

another.

>> Amen.

>> Whether you reject it or you receive it

is your choice, but he's going to get

glory out of it whether you reject it or

you receive it. Amen. And I'm thankful

we have a God like that. I'm thankful.

So very thankful for his blessings.

Malachi chapter 4. You find your place

Malachi 4 · chapter mention

if you would stand again on reference to

the reading of God's word. We'll read

verses one down through verse number

three again this evening. Amen. Are you

glad you're saved tonight?

>> Amen. Are you glad you're on your way to

heaven?

>> Amen.

>> Amen. Are you happy?

>> Amen.

>> Amen. I tell you this, happiness will

come and go, but joy don't ever have to

leave. Amen. And I'm thankful for the

happy times, but I'm thankful that joy

never has to leave. And nobody can take

that from you. Amen. If only if you

allow them to. And we ought to be joyful

tonight. Let's look in the text Malachi

4 and verse number one. The Bible says,

"For behold, the day cometh that shall

burn as an oven, and all the proud,

yeah, all and all that do wickedly shall

be stubble, and the day that cometh

shall burn them up, sayeth the Lord of

hosts, that it shall leave them neither

root nor branch. But unto you, aren't

you thankful for that? But unto you that

fear my name, shall the son of

righteousness arise with healing in his

wings. Ye shall go forth and grow up as

calves of the stall, and ye shall tread

down the wicked, for they shall be ashes

under the souls of your feet in the day

that I shall do this, saith the Lord of

hosts. Father, I ask humbly again

tonight that you would help us, Lord. I

thank you for the service thus far. And

God, I pray that you would speak to us

and through us, Lord, know our minds in

a million different places. But God, I

ask you, Lord, that you would draw us

into the text tonight. And I pray, God,

that you would help us to uh open our

eyes. We might behold wondrous things in

thy law. God, I ask you, Lord, tonight,

Father, that we would be able to lift up

our hands in the sanctuary and bless the

Lord. God, I pray that uh Lord, you

allow us just to worship you and and

Lord, if it be your will to shout a

while, Lord, this text has encouraged me

in my study. And Lord, I pray that it'll

encourage others tonight. Uh Lord, to

know the privilege, Lord, the freedom

that we have in you tonight. God, I ask

humbly you would help us again save the

sinner nearest hell, reclaim the

backsliden, and Lord, for the child of

God, I pray that they'll rejoice and be

strengthened tonight, be encouraged by

the word of God. And Lord, I pray more

than anything that you would get glory

out of this service, out of this sermon

tonight. We'll thank you and praise you

for what you do because we ask it in

Jesus name. God's children said,

>> "Amen." You can be seated. Thank you for

standing. And tonight we will title the

message just the same way that we did

this morning there in verse number one.

The Bible says, "Behold, the day

cometh." And uh I we look this morning

at the negative side of this text. And

I'm so thankful that God in his dealings

with man, he is perfectly just and

perfectly righteous. And he deals in

judgment to those who receive and have

rejected his mercy. They've rejected his

grace. And he deals in judgment with

them that are to receive condemnation.

But aren't you thankful that out of that

very same hand proceeds that precedes

judgment, that same hand proceeds

blessing to the child of God. And

tonight we notice in the text verse

number two that shift in the text verse

number two he says but unto you that

fear my name shall the son of

righteousness arise with healing in his

wings and ye shall go forth and grow up

as caves of the stall. And so I want to

talk to to you tonight about that

thought. Part number two, behold the day

cometh. And now you SAY, "PREACHER, WHAT

IS THIS day that you're talking about?"

Well, I was going to elaborate on it

this morning, and so we'll do it

tonight. Notice what chapter number

three says, verse number one in the

text. The Bible says in verse number

one, "Behold, I will send my messenger,

and he shall prepare the way before me,

and the Lord whom you seek shall

suddenly come to his temple, even the

messenger of the covenant whom you

delight in. Behold, he shall come, saith

the Lord of hosts." Notice verse two.

"But who may abide the day of his

coming? And who shall stand when he

appearth? For he is like a refiner's

fire and like fooler soap. And so this

is the coming day of the Lord. And I

want you to notice three things by way

of introduction tonight here in chapter

number three about the day of the Lord.

And it's found all over scripture. But

I'll say this number one tonight. When

the day of the Lord comes, it will be

sudden. You say, "What do you mean?"

Well, notice it again in verse number

one. He said there, he said that he

shall send his messenger to prepare the

way before me. And the Lord whom you

seek, notice this, shall suddenly come

to his temple. And so the day of the

Lord that is to come is going to be a

day that is sudden. And you say, "What

is that?" Well, this is making reference

to the second advent of our Lord and

Savior Jesus Christ when he will descend

upon the Mount of Olives, and it will be

a sudden thing. Amen. He's going to

descend on there. And not only do you

see it's a sudden coming in the text,

but I'll say this, when he comes, he's

going to see it. Notice that in verse

number three. And he shall sit as

refiner and purifier of silver. And he

shall purify the sons of Levi and purge

them as gold and silver that they may

offer unto the Lord an offering in

righteousness. And so God is going to

establish Christ on this earth as king.

And finally, one more time, the

Israelites will offer a satis a

satisfactory sacrifice unto the Lord.

You see, all this time since Jesus came,

there's never been a sacrifice that's

pleased the Lord. But one of these days,

Jesus is going to come and sit on the

throne of his father David. Amen. And

they will once again make a sacrifice.

Boy, I feel good in my soul. Amen. They

will once again make a sacrifice before

him. And you say, "Preacher, I thought

he was the ultimate sacrifice." You see,

their sacrifice is not for sin. Their

sacrifice is for the savior. Amen. And

you say, "What is that?" Well, it's in

commemoration of what Jesus had done for

them. Amen. And that is what we're

called to do tonight. That's what the

book of Hebrews says. By him, therefore,

let us offer the sacrifice of praise

continually. That is the fruit of our

lips, giving thanks unto his name. And I

want to say this, when he sits, thank

God. We'll stand up with him. Amen.

Behind him and for him. Amen. We will be

there with him in the text. And so when

he comes, it'll be sudden. When he

comes, he will be sitting. But you

notice in this text also verse number

four. Then shall the offering of Judah

and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord

as in the days of old and as in former

years. Notice verse five. And I will

come near to you in judgment. Notice

this next phrase. And I will be a swift

witness against the sorcerers and

against the adulterers and against false

swears and against those that oppress

the hireling in in his wages, the widow

and the fatherless and that turn aside

the stranger from his wrath. and fear

not me, saith the Lord of hosts. And so

when he comes, it's going to be sudden.

When he comes, he's going to sit. But

let me say this. When he comes tonight,

he's going to bring swift judgment.

Amen. And I'm thankful there's coming a

day when every wrinkle is going to get

ironed out. Amen. Every criminal, Amen.

And every convict, everybody that stood

against Jesus and stood against his

people, amen, is going to be judged

before him. Amen. He's going to deal

with old slooh foot. SOMEBODY SAY

HALLELUJAH TONIGHT. HE'S GOING TO DEAL

WITH THE old serpent, Satan himself, and

put HIM AWAY FOREVER. AMEN. I'M SAYING,

FRIEND, THERE'S coming a day that when

he sits down, I'M SAYING JUDGMENT IS AND

WILL BE SWIFT. AMEN.

>> OH, FRIEND, aren't you thankful tonight

that when he judges, he judges, right?

Oh, but he ain't like our court system.

It don't take him years, amen, to get a

verdict done. I'm saying, friend, in

just a few moments, God will take care

of all the evil and all the wicked in

this world, and he's going to make

everything right. Aren't you looking

forward to that day when he comes? AMEN.

BUT I realize in this text tonight, the

fact that he's coming, you see, there's

something that's left for you and I. And

Malachi ends the text here in chapter

number four, this last prophecy given to

the Old Testament saints here. He is

speaking to them and he is warning them

of the coming of the Lord. And I want to

say this tonight, if I could say

anything to you, child of God, it is

that Jesus is coming back and that he is

coming back very soon. Amen. I want to

say tonight, we know he's going to come

in the rapture first, but just as soon

as the rapture takes place, we believe

that no longer than seven years later,

Jesus is going to come back, not in the

clouds, but he's going to come back to

the earth. And he's going to land in

Jerusalem. And he is going to establish

his millennial kingdom there in

Jerusalem. And that could be just seven

years away. Amen. We don't know how long

it's going to be before the Lord comes.

But I'll say this, FRIEND, WHEN HE

COMES, IT WILL BE SUDDEN. AMEN. and he

will see it. Hallelujah. HE'S GOING TO

ERASE THE ENEMIES THAT will stand

against him in swift judgment. But I

notice in this, he is mentioned there in

chapter number four and verse number

one, we talked about the judgment OF

GOD. BUT WE NOTICE IN THAT SAME

JUDGMENT, GOD IS GOING TO GIVE MERCY AND

GOD IS GOING TO GIVE GRACE UNTO THE

ISRAEL of God and those that are saved

by the grace of God during the

tribulation period. And I want you to

notice four things tonight in this

thought of the day cometh here. Behold,

the day cometh. Number one, I want you

to notice tonight that in that day there

will be a remembrance of the reverence

for the sovereign. Say, what do you

mean? Well, notice verse two. But unto

you that fear my name. And I like that

the Bible in the Old Testament always

talks about the fear of God. Now, we all

we often think in our carnal mind and

new age English that fear is something

that means we are afraid. BUT THAT'S NOT

REALLY THE Bible word. When we think of

the Bible word of fear, it doesn't

really mean TO BE AFRAID, BUT IT MEANS

to have a reverential awe. It means TO

BE AFFECTED BY SOMETHING AND SO MUCH

BACK THAT WE ARE TAKEN BACK. AMEN. In

his beauty and his glory and we

reverence him. Amen. We respect him. And

I NOTICE WHAT GOD SAYS ABOUT this in

chapter number three. Look what the

BIBLE SAYS. HE DEALT with these

Pharisees. They had forgotten the

ordinances of God in verse number seven.

I ain't got time to preach all this.

THEY HAD FORGOTTEN THE ORDINANCES IN

verse 7 of chapter 3. They had forsaken

the offerings of the temple in verses 8

and n of chapter number three. They have

falsified their opportunity to be right

with God. In verse number 14 of chapter

3, notice what they say. Ye have said,

it is VAIN TO SERVE GOD. AND WHAT PROFIT

IS it that we have kept his ordinance

and that we have walked mournfully

before the Lord of hosts? And I want TO

SAY THIS TONIGHT. IT'S NO SECRET THAT

THERE'S MUCH OF THE MODERN church world

that feels that way. It's vain to have

these standards. IT'S VAIN TO MAKE THESE

SACRIFICES. Why are we really serving

the Lord? Does he even notice what we're

doing? Serving the Lord's never gotten

me anything. Oh, friend, you better

realize and you better back up a LITTLE

BIT AND UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR REWARD'S

NOT ON EARTHLY SIDE. YOUR REWARDS on

eternity side. AMEN. AND GOD IS JUDGING

THEM. OH, BUT I'M THANKFUL THAT THAT'S

NOT WHERE THE VERSE ENDS. Verse number

16, LOOK WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS. THEN

notice that. Then they that what? Feared

the Lord. You say, "What is that?" Well,

I'm talking about the reverence for the

sovereign. You say, "What is the fear of

God?" Well, the fear of God is this. It

is a consideration that is inward. So,

what do you mean? Well, it's a inward

consideration of who and what he is.

>> You say, "What do you mean, preacher?"

Well, I'm saying his perfection. You

ought to consider that. It ought to be

something that we contemplate. There

ought to be musings on who he is. You

know what? We're off time thinking about

what he can do for us.

>> Let me ask you, when's the last time you

just stopped and thought about who he

is?

>> Some of you would have a lot more glory

and have a lot more grace in your life

if you just stopped thinking about what

you want him to do and just start

thinking about who he is.

>> Amen. I'm talking about the perfect,

holy, spotless God of heaven. Amen.

There is no fault in him, around him,

behind him, above him, BELOW HIM.

NOBODY'S EVER FOUND ANY FAULT IN HIM.

And those angels fly around him 24/7.

You say, friend, you say, "Preacher,

there's no time over there." Well,

that's the closest thing we CAN COMPARE

IT TO ON THIS SIDE. Every day of the

year, every year of the every year, the

calendar, amen, the angels have been

flying around him AND THEY CEASE NOT.

The Bible SAID THEY HAVE EYES WITHIN AND

EYES WITHOUT AND THEY BEHOLD THE LORD

front and behind and above and below and

BENEATH AND EVEN FROM WITHIN. AND NEVER

A SINGLE TIME IN HISTORY HAS THAT ANGEL

LOOKED UPON HIM AND SAID, "I'VE FOUND

FOG." NO, THEY CAN ONLY SAY, "HOLY,

HOLY, HOLY." I'M SAYING, FRIEND, WE NEED

TO GET BACK AND GET A REVIVAL OF

REVERENCE FOR THE SOVEREIGN. AMEN. I'M

SAYING, FRIEND, HE'S NOT CEASED TO BE

HOLY. BUT IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT HE

HAS NOT CEASED TO BE HOLY, THE CHURCH OF

GOD HAS CEASED TO PRAISE HIM.

>> He's not changed.

>> He literally says in chapter three, he

says, "I am the Lord. I change not."

Amen. THEREFORE, YOU SONS OF JACOB ARE

NOT CONSUMED. YOU KNOW WHAT'S CHANGED,

FRIEND? IT'S NOT HIM, IT'S US.

>> HEY, FRIEND, when's the last TIME YOU

SHOUTED? WHEN'S THE LAST TIME YOU

BLESSED THE NAME OF THE LORD? WHEN'S THE

LAST TIME YOU RAISED YOUR UNWORTHY HAND

TO HIM? I'M SAYING NOT JUST BECAUSE OF

WHAT HE'S DONE, BUT JUST BECAUSE WHO HE

IS. WHEN YOU REALIZE THAT YOUR PRAISE

AND YOUR WORSHIP HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH

WHAT HE DOES, THAT HE'S JUST WORTHY OF

IT, WHETHER HE DOES ANYTHING, YOU'LL

REALLY START TO PRAISE HIM. AMEN.

>> OH, FRIEND, I'M TELLING YOU THIS

EVENING, THERE OUGHT TO BE A

CONSIDERATION OF THE REVERENCE. THERE

OUGHT TO BE A CONSIDERATION OF HIS

HOLINESS, OF HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS IN OUR

LIFE.

>> It ought to be daily. Proverbs 1 verse

number 7 says the fear of the Lord is

the beginning of knowledge.

>> You see the place where this thing

starts listen to me from the youngest

Christian to the oldest Christian where

it starts every day of our life ought to

be in honor and reverence to him. You

say how is that? Well, you remember how

Jesus told his disciples to pray? They

said our father WHO ART IN HEAVEN,

WHAT'S THAT first phrase? Hallowed.

AMEN. HOLY, REVERENT, RIGHTEOUS,

HALLOWED BE THY NAME. Thy kingdom come,

thy will be done on earth as it is in

heaven. Our first response to the God of

HEAVEN EVERY DAY OF the week. You say,

"What do you mean response?" I'm saying,

friend, he's met you before you ever

awakened. Amen. And you ought to JUST

RESPOND TO HIM EVERY DAY IN REVERENCE.

LORD, I worship you. LORD, YOU ARE HOLY.

LORD, YOU ARE RIGHTEOUS. YOU SAY,

"PREACHER, I RUN OUT OF THINGS TO SAY

PRETTY QUICK." WELL, YOU JUST KEEP

SAYING THEM OVER AND OVER AGAIN. AND

PRETTY QUICK YOU'LL FIND OUT THERE'LL BE

SOME OTHER THINGS TO SAY. AMEN. I'm

saying there OUGHT TO BE A CONSIDERATION

OF HIS HOLINESS. AMEN. And it's inward

this reverence for the sovereign them

they that fear the Lord. But unto you

that fear my name. I see not only in

this reverence for the sovereign there's

a consideration. But I see second of all

in this that there's a conversation. You

see that consideration is inward. But

that conversation is outward. You say,

"Preacher, what does that have to do

with reverence?" Well, notice verse 16

of chapter three. Then they that feared

the Lord did what? Spake often one to

another. You know why the reason we

don't have too many good things to say?

It's because we're not revering him.

>> It's because we're not in awe of him.

The reason why you can't have a

conversation with a brother or sister

about his blessings or even just about

who he is because you've lost the all of

him.

>> You say, "Preacher, I I I reverence him

in my prayer clause." Well, let me ask

you something. How much do you reverence

him in your conversation with others?

>> Amen.

>> Why would your language be different?

Why would you pray the these and the

vows and all that King James language in

your prayer and then go out and talk the

filthy talk of the world?

You see, reverence is not just the

private place,

>> but reverence is the public place

because God's everywhere.

>> Proverbs 15, the eyes of the Lord are in

every place, beholding the evil and the

good. AIN'T THAT WHAT THE BOOK SAYS?

AMEN. I'M SAYING REVERENCE FOR THE

SOVEREIGN HAS TO DO WITH CONSIDERATION

THAT'S INWARD, BUT IT HAS TO DO WITH A

CONVERSATION THAT IS OUTWARD. IT SAYS,

"THEN THEY THAT FEARED THE LORD SPAKE

OFTEN." NOTICE THAT, "OFTEN, one to

another." Let me ask you, how much do

you speak good of him?

You know what our conversations consist

of when they're about the Lord most

time, brother? Why ain't the Lord fix

this yet?

>> Why ain't God help me yet?

>> You see, that's where we're wrong.

>> We spend so much time wanting God to fix

something.

>> Come on.

>> When he's saying, "Look, you want me to

fix it? I'm telling you, I am the fix."

>> That's right. Amen.

>> Amen.

>> You reverence him.

>> In our conversation, listen to this.

You remember I made the statement this

morning talking about the fact that

those children, it shall leave them

neither root nor branch. And I said,

what you are feeding on is inevitably

what your children's going to be feeding

on. Listen to what Deuteronomy 6 says.

This is some of my favorite scripture.

This scripture right here saved my life

as a young man. Say, "What do you mean?"

Well, my daddy took this scripture to

heart and it spared me. Deuteronomy

Deuteronomy 6 · chapter mention

chapter 6, listen to this. Verse number

verse number five. Verse four. Here, O

Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord.

Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with

all thine heart, with all thy soul, with

all thy mind. And these words which I

command thee this day shall be in thy

heart. Notice verse seven. And thou

shalt teach them diligently unto thy

children. Notice the next phrase. And

thou shalt talk of them when thou sitest

in thine house, when thou walstest by

the way, and when thou liest down, and

when thou riseest up, and thou shalt

bind them for a sign upon thine front

thine hand, and they shall be as

frontlets between thine eyes, and thou

shalt write them upon the post of thy

house and on thy gates. You know what

that is? That's embracing his holiness.

What did he say? He said, "You talk of

it when you're lying down, when you rise

us up, when you're on your journey, when

you're coming back. Let me ask you how

much your conversation is about him.

>> You see, it's not just that we respect

him. I respect him tonight. But you know

where I fail? My respect to him is not

measured by what I say about him. My

respect is measured by how much I talk

about him.

>> I can tell you how much of the how much

you love the Lord by how much you talk

about him.

>> Notice that again. Verse 16. They that

then they that fear the Lord spake often

one to another. Man, I can't get past

that. Often speak of his wonderful

works, but speak of the wonder of who he

is. Notice this revit for the sovereign.

I know I got to move. There's

consideration that's inward. There's a

conversation that's outward. But I want

to say this. There's a commemoration

that's in heaven. Say, what do you mean?

Well, notice verse 16 again. Then they

that feared the Lord spake often one to

another. Then what's the next phrase?

And the Lord hearkened and heard it and

a book of remembrance was written before

him for them that feared the Lord. And

notice this, and that thought upon his

name. Reverence is consideration that's

inward. Reverence is conversation that

is outward. They spoke often one to

another. But I want to say this,

reverence is commemorated by the Lord.

You say, "How is it commemorated?" He's

got a book

where he writes down when you talk about

him.

>> Do you see that? Notice it again.

Then that they that fear the Lord spake

often one to another. And the Lord

hearkened and heard it and a book of

remembrance was written before him for

them.

He's commemorated not for him. He

remembers it. Hallelujah. He remembers

it. Who did he write the book for?

Amen.

>> Notice it again. For them that feared

the Lord and that thought upon his name.

David said it this way. He said, "Let

the words of my mouth and the meditation

of my heart be acceptable

in my sight, oh Lord, my redeemer." I'm

saying, friend, our thoughts and our

speech, EVERYTHING WE DO OUGHT TO BE

ACCEPTABLE BEFORE HIS EYES. WHY? BECAUSE

GOD HAS GOT A BOOK. OH, HALLELUJAH. HE'S

GOT A BOOK WHERE HE'S WRITING IT ALL

DOWN. HE'S KEEPING IT ALL UP. WHY IS HE

DOING THAT? SO ONE OF THESE DAYS WHEN WE

GET TO HEAVEN, WE CAN LOOK BACK AT ALL

THE DAYS IN OUR LIFE WHEN WE JUST SAT

AROUND AND TALKED ABOUT THE LORD. OH,

FRIEND, HALLELUJAH. I'M ABOUT TO RUN A

LAP IN HERE. AMEN. I'M SAYING, FRIEND,

THERE'S COMING A DAY WHEN WE'LL STAND

BEFORE HIM. AND WHEN WE DO, THE BIBLE

SAYS THAT THE BOOKS WILL BE OPEN. AND

YOU KNOW WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS? PAUL TOLD

THE CORINTHIAN CHURCH, HE SAID, "WE'LL

BE judged by the things that were done

in our body, whether they be good or

bad." That's the church. All right?

That's the That's the beac. And so,

what's going to happen? God's going to

bring up that book of remembrance.

>> Remember that day when your heart was

full, he's talking about you talking to

your wife about the Lord. Man, honey,

God's been so good to us. Amen,

>> man. Honey, God has just blessed us.

>> And you know what the thing is? If he'd

never done a thing for us, he's just

worthy.

>> And God says, "You remember when you

said that?"

>> Y'all get in here with me. It's good on

this side. Amen. I'm saying, friend,

there's a book of remembrance. Oh, I'm

talking about the reverence for the

sovereign. YOU SAY, "WHAT IS THAT?"

WELL, REMEMBER, BEHOLD, THE DAY COMETH.

THIS IS GOING TO COME UP. Notice it

again in the text. Verse two. But unto

you that fear my name, verse 16, that

book of remembrance was written before

him for them that feared the Lord and

that thought upon his name.

It's written for you. Notice this. I got

to move. There's reverence for the

sovereign. This book of remembrance. You

see, our reverence is recognized. God

sees it. Our reverence isn't only

recognized in the moment, but it's

remembered for eternity. He's got it

kept. Oh friend, aren't you thankful for

that,

>> man? Nothing goes by his eyes. Oh,

hallelujah. What you do, Amen. in the

privacy of your life, your private

devotion to him. Hey, friend, nobody

else may ever know. Nobody else may ever

WITH GOD. OH, HE KNOWS. AMEN. AND HE

DOESN'T ONLY RECOGNIZE IT, BUT OH, HE

REMEMBERS IT. AMEN.

>> And it will be rewarded. Hallelujah.

Bless his name. Our reverence is

recognized. It is remembered and it will

be rewarded. Notice this. Second of all,

behold the day cometh for this

reverence, the remembrance of the

reverence for the sovereign. Number two,

not only the reverence for the

sovereign, but there will be a

revelation of the son. Verse two, but

unto you that fear my name, notice this,

shall the son of righteousness arise

with healing in his wings. You see,

there's coming a day when he comes back

again. You say, "What do you mean the

revelation?" Well, I don't know about

you, but I ain't never seen it.

>> I'm wanting to.

>> Amen. There's coming a day when I will.

>> Amen. John said it this way in his

epistle. He says, uh, he said, "Beloved,

it does not appear what we shall be, but

we know that when he shall appear."

Amen. He said, "Now are we the sons of

God. It does not appear what we shall

be, but we know that when he shall

appear, we shall be like him, for we

shall see him as he is.

>> And when he appears, notice it in the

text, when the son of righteousness

shall the son of righteousness arise

with healing in his wings. This is

reference, first of all, the revelation

of the son is referenced to our heavenly

lord. Psalm 84 verse number 11. I want

to read this. We get on with the message

tonight. Psalm 84 verse number 11.

Listen to what your Bible says. The

Bible says verse 10 or verse number 11,

for the Lord God is a son and a shield.

The Lord will give grace and glory. No

good thing will he withhold from them

that walk uprightly. Our Lord, our

heavenly Lord, he is the Lord. There

David said, "The Lord said unto my Lord,

sit on my right hand until I make thy

enemies thy foottool." Amen. One of

these days, the Lord himself is going to

reveal himself to you and I, and we will

see him as he is. But I will say this,

in this moment, this is tribulation. And

so there's coming a day when Israel

after all those seven years of

tribulation, Jesus is going to come and

the Bible says they'll look on him whom

they've pierced and they'll see the nail

prints in his hand. The Bible says that

he'll be he'll come back. Amen. We know

in the book of Revelation, he was

clothed in a vesture dipped in blood. I

can't help but believe when he comes

back to this earth, he's still going to

have the blood stains. Oh, hallelujah.

>> He's still going to have the blood

stains. And we'll see him. The Jews will

see him in that moment. Thank God we'll

have seen him for seven years.

Hallelujah for that. Amen. But the Jews,

they'll lay their eyes on him. All of

that reverence, they'll know who it was

really for.

>> All them sacrifices, all that service,

they'll finally realize that the Jesus

that come the first time was THE ACTUAL

JESUS THEY WERE LOOKING FOR. AMEN.

>> The heavenly Lord will be revealed. I'll

say this. Not only our heavenly Lord

will be revealed, but a holy light will

be seen. Notice it again. shall the son

of righteousness. He is the son. What

does the Bible say? Jesus said this.

John chapter 8 verse number 12. He said,

John 8 · chapter mention

"I am the light of the world. He that

followeth me shall never walk in

darkness,

>> but shall have the light of life." You

know what? One day we'll we'll dwell in

his light.

>> Hey friend, we walk in the light of that

word right now. And I'm thankful that

the love of God is shed abroad in our

hearts by the Holy Ghost that's given

unto us. Romans 5 tells us that. But I'm

thankful there's coming a day when it

won't just be on the inside, but it's

going to be on the inside, outside, and

all around. Somebody say, "Amen."

>> We'll be in the light of the lamb. You

see, we have our heavenly Lord. We have

his holy light. And let me just plug

this while we're there. You realize that

God created light long before he ever

made the sun. Amen. That first day, he

made the light. Amen. And when he made

the light, it was a few days later

before he ever created the sun, moon,

and stars. You know who was shining? It

was Jesus.

>> And I like what brother Don said. He

said, "He will sh outshine them all."

Amen.

>> There's a heavenly Lord. There's a holy

light. But I see a healing love in this

verse. But unto you that fear my name

shall the son of righteousness arise

with what? With healing in his wings.

You see, when Jesus comes back this

time, you see he's going to iron out all

the trouble. You say, "What do you

mean?" Well, for the Israel, Israel is

going to be in a place of fear.

Bible says they're going to come out of

those rocks. Amen. Dens of the

mountains, and they'll look up there to

the Mount of Olives, and they'll see

Jesus there, and they'll be bloody and

battered and torn because of the

judgment of God. But you know what? The

Bible says he's coming with healing.

and his wings.

>> You know what Jesus said when he looked

on Jerusalem? He said, "Oh Jerusalem, oh

Jerusalem, how often would I've gathered

thee as a hen gather through chicks, but

you would not." He longed to draw them

under himself. But there's coming a day

when them wings is going to spread out

again.

>> They're going to spread out again. And

that nation that rejected him the first

time, he's going to bring them under

himself.

>> They're going to be reunited.

Hallelujah. There will be a healing

love. You say, "Preacher, what does that

have for me?" I want to say this, you

already know it's healing on this side.

But for many, I know it's a heal, a

spiritual healing, but for many on this

side, we'll never know physical healing.

Many people will leave this world and

their physical ailments will cause them

to leave this world. But aren't you

thankful on the other side that bomb in

Gilead's going to take care of all the

suffering?

>> That's right.

>> Of all the hurts and sorrow and all the

pain. You say, "What is that?" that well

in the book of Revelation chapter 22 the

Revelation 22 · chapter mention

Bible said John said I saw that tree of

life on either side of the river and you

remember what he said he said the leaves

of the tree were for what the healing of

the nations

>> what that is that's eternal life

>> you see that tree of life gave Adam and

Eve eternal life but that one day that

tree of life is going to give you and I

eternal life

>> and we will dwell in the lights of that

city I'm saying his healing love will

wipe away all our tears it's going to do

away with all our struggles Well, is

this helping you tonight? I don't know,

but it's helping me. Amen. I'm saying

the revelation of the sun will be our

heavenly Lord. It will be a holy light.

It is a healing love. YOU SAY,

"PREACHER, WHAT IS THAT GOT TO DO WITH

ME?" WELL, I WANT TO SAY THIS REVELATION

of the sun's personal. Notice verse two

again. What's the first three words? But

unto you,

that ain't just national. Amen. He can't

It can be national, but I'll say it's

personal. Unto you. Amen. Unto you is

born this day in the city of David a

savior. Amen. which is Christ the Lord.

It's personal. It's pure. Shall the son

of righteousness arise. There's no

blemish in him. You know what? You can

be thankful Jesus don't have no ulterior

motive.

>> If that don't help you, I don't know

what will.

>> In the day where everybody has an

ulterior motive,

>> preachers are preaching for money.

>> Come on.

>> Doing all types of things. Amen. Behind

the scenes because all they want is

their pocket filled. You know what?

Jesus ain't never done nothing like

that.

>> Hallelujah. I'm saying it's personal,

but it's pure, but it will be

preservation for us. He said, "The son

of righteousness shall arise with

healing in his wings." There is

reverence for the sovereign. There is

the revelation of the son. You said,

"Preacher, I thought you said in your

prayer you wanted us to shout." Well,

we're getting there. Okay, I about lost

it on that first point, but we really

going to get it now. All right, notice

verse two. But unto you that fear my

name shall the son of righteousness

arise with healing in his wings. Notice

this. And you shall go forth and grow up

as calves of the stall. Now on face

value that last phrase might not mean

much to you. Okay? And uh it means a lot

to me because I know what it says but

also means a lot to me because I know

from my whole life since I was a little

boy we had over 200 herd of 200 head of

cattle. And I remember growing up as a

young man, I used to go and sit for

hours in the middle of that pasture. And

I would watch those little babies, about

5, 10, 20 of them. They'd get to running

across those fields. Their bellies were

full. All their needs was supplied. Is

anybody in the building?

>> Their bellies were full. All their needs

were supplied. And you know what? In

that pasture, they could go as far as

they wanted to go and run as hard as

they wanted to run. And they will never

get out of reach of mom.

>> Amen.

>> You say, "What does that mean?" Well,

notice it again in the text. Ye shall go

forth and grow up as as calves of the

stall. You see, there's there will be

reverence for the sovereign. There'll be

the revelation of the son, but there

will be thoroughly the rejoicing of the

saints. You say, "How is that?" Well,

first of all, you'll see that there's a

loosing in verse number two. And ye

shall what? Go forth.

You see, what we've been bound to for so

long will no longer limit us.

>> Go forth. There'll be an entrance. But

you know what an entrance implies? It

implies that there's an exit.

You're going to have to leave one place

to get to another. He said you'll go

forth. You know what's going to happen

one of these days? And this ain't

directly in the text, but it's it's it's

as good as there. When we leave this

world, the Bible says in a moment, in

the twinkling of an eye,

>> at the last trump, we shall be changed.

>> Loosed.

>> You say, "What does that represent?"

Well, out of that loosing, there comes

liberty.

>> Look what he says. Ye shall go forth.

You shall go forth. And that word grow

up has that phrase grow up has a dual

meaning. that that grow up. It it can

mean to to jump to spring. I don't know

if you've ever watched a a little calf

or a little lamb or something run across

the field and you know it looks like

they got springs on their feet and are

just bouncing. They're just springing.

They they'll go forth and they'll grow

up. IT JUST IT JUST IDENTIFIES what that

liberty

>> that we'll have when we get over there.

You know what? We won't be hindered by

our emotions over here.

>> We won't be hindered by our feelings. We

won't be hindered by our ideas. You know

what? We'll have perfect theology over

there.

>> Right.

>> I think we miss out a whole lot of times

because of our isms and schisms in our

mind

>> that it's got to be this way. Now, we

know standards are standards, but the

truth is tonight there's a lot of things

that we hold back on just because it

don't suit our fancy.

>> But there won't be none of that over

there.

There's an open pasture

as far as the eye can see. I believe

John said it was a thousand miles wide

and a thousand miles high and a thousand

miles long. The city of God coming down

from heaven as a bride adorned for a

husband. That's the land. That's that

pasture. That heavenly pasture land will

dwell in. There'll be life or there'll

be loose and there'll be liberty and

they'll be live. You shall go forth and

grow up as calves of the stall. Now, I

like in this text that, you know, one

writer said, well, he could have said

butterflies and, you know, it's good to

be free. You know, free as a a bird or

something like that, but you know, a

calf, they're they're useful, aren't

they?

>> Something that's productive. When we get

to heaven, we're not just going to go

out to pasture and just be useless. You

know what we'll be doing? We'll be

forever praising him

>> because you know what? will have life.

We don't really understand what life is.

You know that

>> we really don't know what real life is.

I I know what life is on the inside. I'm

saved by the grace of God. But I'm

saying when the life that's on the

inside yolks up with the life that's

going to be on the outside over there,

>> you'll find me somewhere shouting across

the hills of glory. Amen. I'm saying we

will have life. You say, "What does that

look like?" That looks like rejoicing

>> is what that looks like. That looks like

freedom.

I don't know about you. him. I want some

freedom.

>> Amen.

>> Free to worship. Free to praise him.

>> The reason some of you ain't run a lap

already is because you so dignified.

Free from dignity. Amen.

>> There'll be rejoicing.

>> Not just for a moment, but for eternity.

>> Notice this, and I'm done. You say,

"Preacher, END IT ON A GOOD NOTE." WELL,

I wish I could.

I tell you, it is a good note for us who

are saved. But notice verse three. And

ye shall tread down the wicked, for they

shall be ashes under the souls of your

feet in the day that I shall do this,

sayeth the Lord of hosts. The imagery

here in this text is this. You see God

when Jesus comes back for behold the day

cometh. Those Jews are going to run for

freedom. You think about that. Well,

picture that in your mind. The beaten

battered scars that they have from

enduring those seven years of

tribulation. And when they see the Lord

Jesus Christ, they're immediately going

to take the running. Why? Because they

know where he's headed. And they're

going where he is. They're going to that

city, that new Jerusalem there, where

he's going to establish his throne on

this earth. And they're going to run in

there and they're going to rejoice with

him. But you know what they're going to

be stepping on as they get there?

They're going to be stepping all the on

all the enemies that when Jesus

descended and that sword went out of his

mouth, all those enemies that fell. You

know what they're going to be doing?

They're going to be walking on them

as they get to Jesus. You say,

"Preacher, that's a gruesome image." No,

it's a scriptural image.

>> That's right.

>> You see, really, there's one of these

day. It's one of these days. Bible says

that the smoke of the wicked will

descend out of the pit or will ascend

out of the pit and the righteous will

rejoice at the judgment of the wicked.

>> I can't fathom that. But I will tell you

this, there's coming a day. You say,

"Preacher, you got any scripture for

that?" Turn with me to the book of

Revelation, chapter 3, and I'm done. The

Revelation 3 · chapter mention

recompense of sinners. Fourthly,

behold, the day cometh for the

recompense of sinners. There's a

purpose, destruction. Ye shall tread

down the wicked. There is a perpetual

damnation. For they shall be ashes under

the souls of your feet in the day that I

shall do this, sayith the Lord of hosts.

Notice Revelation three, and I'm done

this evening.

YOU SAY, "PREACHER, HOW COULD I rejoice

trotting on those who are wicked?"

You see, when you love what God loves.

>> Amen.

>> And when you get to a place when you

become what God is,

>> I didn't say you become God, but you

become what he is.

>> Perfect.

>> Notice Revelation 3 verse number eight.

This is the church of Philadelphia. This

is the church Jesus had no rebuke for.

Revelation 3:8. I know thy works.

Revelation 3:8

Behold, I've set before thee an open

door, and no man can shut it. For thou

hast a little strength, and hast kept my

word, and hast not denied my name. Verse

n, behold, I will make them of the

synagogue of Satan, which say they are

Jews, and are not, but do lie. Behold, I

will make them to come and worship

before thy feet, and to know that I have

loved thee. Because thou has kept the

word of my patience, I also will keep

thee from the hour of temptation, which

shall come upon all the world to try

them that dwell upon the earth. You see,

Jesus tells the church of Philadelphia,

he says, "I'm going to make your enemies

come bow your feet."

You say, "Preacher, I thought it wasn't

for our worship." No, that's not what

it's for. It's not for our worship. It's

for his glory. And you see, you say,

"Preacher, what does that represent?"

Well, let me let me borrow you mine for

just a minute. All right. You see,

there's coming a day when we come back

with the Lord Jesus on this earth after

that seven years of tribulation. We'll

come back to this earth and we'll come

back with him. Bible said we'll be

riding on white horses and we'll stand

behind him as he as the sword goes forth

out of his mouth smites the antichrist

and the enemies of God and he deals with

them. But do you realize that at the end

of all time, after the thousand years,

the battle of Gog and Magog, Satan is

loose for a little season, God destroys

him, cast him into the pit, and after

that, the great white throne. I've had

people ask me, "Preacher, WHERE WHERE

WILL I be at the great white throne?"

Well, you see, that great white throne

is a symbol of purity. It's great for

its size. It's white for its cleanness,

for its color.

He said it's a throne. It's a throne

where God reigns. But you see where

we'll be, we'll be in that throne. Said,

"Preacher, you don't have any scripture

with that." Well, you don't have any

scripture against it.

We got to be somewhere. And what does

the Bible say? That we are in Christ.

>> And the Bible says that when John looked

on him, he said, "I saw a man." He said,

he said, "I saw him." He said, "Whose fa

from whose face the earth and heaven

fled away? There was found no place for

them." We'll be in Christ at that

judgment. You say, "What does that look

like?" God's going to judge them, and

we're going to sit back and watch.

>> That's right.

>> You say, "Preacher, how will we not weep

there?" Well, all tears will be wiped

away for us.

>> You say, "Preacher, will we not cry

tears for those that go away?" Well, you

see, that great white throne of

judgment. There's a lot lot I could say

about this, but I want you to get this

more than anything. You see, it's the

judgment of the of the wicked that's

going to bring pleasure to the Lord. And

when I say pleasure, it's righteous

pleasure. And when he sees the judgment

of wicked, the wicked, and is satisfied,

you know what we will be? We will be

satisfied as well. Because you know what

God got? What he what he deserved and

what was rightfully due to him? That

justice was served. And I don't know

about you, but of all of those things

that my reverence will be remembered.

that the revelation of the Savior will

be visible to my eyes, that I will have

an opportunity to rejoice myself before

his presence. But the recompense of

sinners as we walk across them, you see,

preacher, I can't imagine that. Well,

they're not going to be the focus.

>> That's right.

>> You ain't going to be thinking about

them.

>> No.

>> When them Jews go running, they ain't

going to be looking around,

>> right,

>> at what's on the ground.

>> They're not going to be looking around

to see them. They going to be looking at

the one

>> that's sitting on the throne.

>> Behold the day cometh. Let me ask you

tonight, every head bowed and every eye

closed.

Child of God, if I was you tonight, and

what I'm going to do here in just a

minute, I'm going to find me a place and

say, "Thank you, Lord.

Thank you, Lord." Because this is going

to be reality. And it could be a very

short way away. I want to say this.

You're hearing your loss tonight. You

say, "Preacher, I can't imagine how a

God that is literally described as a God

of love could allow the wicked to be

trampled over." Here's here's the thing

about that. Here's what you need to

understand. God didn't allow them to be.

They chose to be.

Now, let me tell you what God has

allowed. God allowed his son to suffer,

bleed, and die so that you could be

saved. And if you go to hell, it ain't

because he allowed you to. It's because

he chose you. He He It's because you

chose to.

>> That's right. That's right.

>> Why would you miss being a part of the

greatest celebration

that will ever be in history? And when

it comes, it will never end,

perpetual rejoicing, life, liberty being

loosed from the pains of death and the

flesh.

You see, Israel is going to experience

that in that moment, that day that

Malachi was talking about. But for you

and I, that day is coming much sooner

because we'll see him in the clouds and

he'll say, "Come up hither and we'll

meet our loved ones in the air that's

trusted Christ by faith and we'll be

together forever and never more to

part." The Bible says, "So shall we ever

be with the Lord." I got to ask you

tonight, she's going to play in just a

second.

Do you know the Lord? Are you saved

tonight? You say, "Preacher, I don't

know if I died right now that I'd go to

heaven. Would you pray for me? Just slip

your hand up tonight. I'll pray for

you." Preacher, I'm not saved. Would you

pray for me?

Anybody all over the house? I'm looking

around. Slip your hand up. Raise it

high. Raise it high.

Let me ask you this, child of God.

When's the last time you had a

conversation with somebody about him

about how good he is?

How much do you reverence him?

Every one of us should a whole lot more

than we do.

How many of you want to gather on an

altar tonight and just say thank you?

Just say thank you. Thank you, Lord

Jesus, that I have a future.

That I have a hope that's beyond this

life.

Let me say this. He's worthy of your

thanks.

He is worthy of your praise.

And one of these days, behold, the day

cometh when we will stand before his

throne, and that book of remembrance

will be open, and he'll see it. He'll

see this moment tonight,

church. He'll see this moment tonight.

It'll be written in that book.

When you came and just thanked him for

who he is. When you came and just

praised him for who he is,

he'll remember that.

Cuz when you praise him for who he is,

you don't have any ulterior motive in

mind.

He is worthy of your thanks. Father,

we give you praise tonight.

Lord, you've done so much for us, God.

You've done more for us than we could

ever repay, God. An eternity of

eternities will never repay, God. What

you have done for us tonight as your

children.

But God, I rejoice in the fact tonight

that

Lord, I can do my best to say thank you.

Lord, thank you for what you've done,

but Lord, more than anything, thank you

for who you are. God, thank you that you

did not compromise your holiness to come

to us. Because Lord, if you'd done that,

you couldn't have saved us. But God,

thank you that you in your in your love,

your holy love for us. God, you knew you

could not compromise your righteousness.

But Lord, you sent your son to be made

sin for us who knew no sin. Lord, that

we might be made the righteousness of

God in him.

And Lord, we love you because you first

loved us

long before we ever knew

who you were.

Lord, you knew us and who we would be.

And God, I praise you. I exalt you.

You're worthy of all glory and honor.

And I stand in awe of all that you are.

Lord, there's nothing in this life

that's perfect,

God. At best, every item, every person,

Lord, we all have a blemish,

God, the most perfect individual still,

Lord, in their heart of hearts, God

would have a blemish.

But Lord, there's never been any fault

found in you.

And God, we praise you tonight.

You're worthy.

You're worthy of all praise.

We exalt you.

And Lord, we say thank you for all that

you've done for us. If you never do

another thing, Lord, we give you praise,

God. If you never touch us again, if you

never bless us again, God, if it's a

long journey from here until you come,

Lord, and we don't see, God, the the

things we desire, Lord, we we know, God,

that your way is best. And we thank you,

God, that you've brought us here to for.

And Lord, we can say as Samuel said when

he gathered is around that either

Ebenezer stone, hitherto hath the Lord

helped us. And God, I thank you tonight

that you've helped us thus far. And

Lord, I know since we've made it safely

thus far, we'll make it safely to

heaven's fair shore. And God, I praise

you tonight. I give you glory. I thank

you for these precious people. Lord, I

pray for that sinner tonight that's here

and lost without God. I pray they

wouldn't leave this place, God, in that

same shape. I pray Lord for those

tonight maybe still not right with you.

Maybe they're in sin. God, I don't know.

You know, Lord, I pray God tonight you

would deal with their heart and draw

them to a place of repentance. And God,

I pray, Father, you would help us to

live a life of worship and reverence

unto you. Lord, I love you. I thank you

for your blessings. And we ask it all in

Jesus name. For his sake we pray. Amen.
