I don't know about you, but I'm going

there. Amen. And it is home. I tell you,

the longer I stay down here, the less it

feels like home. And I tell you,

this life I I think I believe as Paul

wrote, he said, "If in this life only we

have hope in Christ, we're of all men

most miserable." And I believe that. If

all there was to this all there was to

life was this life, it would be a sad

reality, wouldn't it? But I'm thankful

this is not all there is. Amen. And I

bless the name of the Lord this morning.

If you have a Bible, I'll invite you to

turn with me to Mark's Gospel, chapter

number five. I invite you to stand in

honor and reverence to the reading of

God's word, if you can and are able.

Mark's Gospel, chapter number five.

We'll begin reading in verse number 21.

I do want to let you know I did say

wrong this morning. Miss Betty Jean was

in the hospital due to some heart

issues. They did double up her medicine.

She's not going to be having a cath this

week, but she is waiting to see a heart

doctor. And so, if y'all would remember

her in prayer this morning, and I pray

that God would bless and help her. And I

know she's watching right now. We love

you, sister. And we appreciate you and

very, very much. And I appreciate all of

you. And we know when you're not here.

Amen. And I thank God for you. Thank God

for you being here.

And I appreciate each one of you. Mark

chapter number five, verse number 21.

The Bible says, "And when Jesus was

passed over again by ship unto the other

side, much people gathered unto him. And

he was nigh unto the sea. And behold,

there cometh one of the rulers of the

synagogue, Jairus

by name. And when he saw him, he fell at

his feet, and besought him greatly,

saying, "My little daughter lieth at the

point of death. I pray thee, come and

lay thine hands on her, that she may be

healed, and she shall live." And Jesus

went with him, and much people followed

him and thronged him. And a certain

woman, which had an issue of blood 12

years, and had suffered many things of

many physicians, and had spent all that

she had, and was nothing better, but

rather grew worse, when she had heard of

Jesus, came in the press behind, and

touched his garment. For she said, "If I

may touch but his clothes, I shall be

whole." And straightway, the fountain of

her blood was dried up, and she felt in

her body that she was healed of that

plague. Jesus, immediately knowing in

himself that virtue had gone out of him,

turned him about in the press, and said,

"Who touched my clothes?" And his

disciples said unto him, "Thou seest the

multitude thronging thee, and sayest

thou, 'Who touched me?'"

And he looked round about to see her

that had done this thing. But the woman,

fearing and trembling, knowing what was

done in her, came and fell down before

him, and told him all the truth. And he

said unto her, "Daughter, thy faith hath

made thee whole. Go in peace, and be

whole of thy plague." Father, thank you

for the privilege to be in the house of

God today. Thank you for the opportunity

to gather around the word of God. And

Lord, I do not take this opportunity

lightly. Lord, I thank you for the word

of God that has been shared, the

excellent Sunday school lesson this

morning. We thank you, God, for that.

Lord, I pray you'd help us to be mindful

of our words in this day and time. Lord,

I ask you, God, as your servant this

morning, you would set a watch about my

lips. I pray you'd help me to say

nothing, God, that would hinder the

working of the Holy Ghost of God in this

service, but everything, God, that would

be pleasing and honoring glorifying to

thee because faith cometh by hearing and

hearing by the word of God. And you

said, "How shall they hear without a

preacher?" And Lord, I thank you, God,

that you have allowed me the privilege

to be the preacher for this service

today and the pastor of this great

church. I ask you, God, to help us save

the center nearest tail, reclaim the

backslidden, God, we pray. And Lord, I

pray every heart will leave challenged

and changed by the word of God today.

And Lord, may you get glory and honor

for who you are. Lord, we love you.

Thank you for loving us. We ask it all

in Jesus' name. For his sake we pray.

Amen. Thank you for standing. You can be

seated this morning. Mark's Gospel,

chapter number five. I love this chapter

of the word of God and probably some of

my favorite scripture to preach from. I

have preached out of this chapter uh

several times, but I've never preached

this particular portion of scripture. I

was talking to my wife on yesterday as I

was praying about the service today and

I told her, I said, "I really believe

the reason I have never preached this

passage is cuz my father-in-law preaches

a message out of this passage." And to

be honest with you, I don't think that

I've ever heard anybody preach it better

than he does. But this is where God has

us today. And so, if you're not

a good message on this text. Amen. But

uh we're going to preach today, all

right? Hey, y'all right this morning?

Amen. Wake up, okay? We're going to

preach, all right? You going to help me

preach this morning? Amen. I need better

than that. You going to help me preach

this morning? Amen. Matthew Mark chapter

number five. This chapter this morning,

when we think about in its entirety, is

riddled with hard cases. Now, if you

know your Bible this morning, you know

that in this chapter there are three

different instances that are told in

this chapter and Christ is going to

handle each one of them. Aren't you

thankful that there's not a problem too

big for him that he cannot solve? Amen.

And he deals with the Gadarene

demon-possessed man here in verses 1

through verse number 20. What a great

life change that the Lord Jesus brings

to him in this text. And the fact that

he was dealing with that that demon,

that legion of demons that was in him.

And God delivers him from those demons.

And then he will deal after our text

this morning with a young girl who is

dying in verses 35 through 43 of this

chapter. And our text this morning he

will deal with a a gal who is diseased

in verses 21 through 34. And the miracle

is that Christ proves victorious in each

case. Amen. I want to say this, there's

not a there's not a hard case too hard

for him. Amen. And he proves victorious

in each case in this text. But I want to

say this, when we look at these cases,

these instances in this chapter, we find

that each of these situations

have run beyond the ability of man.

You say, "What do you mean, preacher?"

Well, let's just look in the text. Verse

number three of chapter 5, the Bible

says of the demon-possessed man, "But he

had his dwelling among the tombs."

Listen to this, "And no man could bind

him, no, not with chains. Because it had

been often bound with fetters and

chains. And the chains had been plucked

asunder by him. And the fetters broken

in pieces. Neither could any man tame

him." And so the demon-possessed man had

went beyond the ability of man to fix

him. And then the little girl in the

text for she comes first in this

chapter. And then we'll end the text in

verse number 23. Jairus speaks to Jesus

and says in verse 23, "My little

daughter lies at the point of death. I

pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her

that she may be healed and she shall

live." And so no doubt in my mind, these

parents, this man, Jairus, loved his

daughter. He loved her so much that he

had done everything in his power that he

could to help her. But, there came a

time when man's power was not able to

help her. And so, the demon-possessed

man had run beyond the ability of man to

receive help. And this little daughter

had run beyond the ability of man to

receive help. But, I notice in this text

that this woman, this gal here in our

verses, has run beyond the ability of

man to receive help. And I want to

consider four things in this text about

this thought, the issue of blood this

morning. Now, we notice number one this

morning by in the message. I want you to

notice her terrible condition that's

mentioned in verse number 25. The Bible

says, "And a certain woman which had an

issue of blood 12 years and had suffered

many things of many physicians and had

spent all that she had and was nothing

better, but rather grew worse." And so,

it is labeled in this text that she is

in dire straits. Now, I I find it

interesting that Jesus is on his journey

back to Jairus' house to help him with

his daughter. And this interruption

comes in the path as they are journeying

there to bring healing to this daughter

who is about to die. And I'm thankful,

amen, that Jesus is always headed

somewhere. Now, I want to say this this

morning, Jesus has a purpose for the

path that he is walking in your life.

And you say, "What do you mean?" Well, I

don't know what direction you're headed

in. I don't know where it feels like

you're going. But, I'll say this, if you

are walking in the will of God and

you're doing what he asked you to do,

you just know he's got an end goal in

mind.

Amen.

And so, this interruption here often

brings an interac- or brings an

interaction here with this woman in the

text. Now, notice her terrible condi-

condition. You say, "What do you mean

her terrible condition?" Well, I would

say her terrible condition is expressed

by the term that's used in verse number

25. That term issue. Notice that. And a

certain woman had an issue of blood.

Now, that word issue literally means a

flowing. So, there is

a flowing issue in her life. But then

there's not only a flowing issue, but

there is a fleshly issue in verse 25. A

certain woman which had an issue, notice

this, of blood. Of blood. And so, I

think the the terrible condition is

expressed by this term issue, the

flowing, and by the flesh, this flowing

of blood here in the text. And I read

this, literally speaking, her life is in

danger. You say, "What do you mean?"

Well, Leviticus 17, verse number 11 says

this, that the life of the flesh is in

the blood.

Do you realize that we we think about

history and there was a time in medicine

days gone by, been many hundred years,

that they would bloodlet people and they

would take their blood out of their body

trying to heal them. But what they did

not realize is they were endangering

them further more than they were

actually helping them. And we know now

by modern medicine that blood

transfusions are almost always necessary

for cancer patients. And you say, "What

do you mean?" I'm saying this text here

reveals that she has a problem that is

endangering her life. I'm going to say

this, it was a fleshly problem. It was a

flowing problem. I'm going to say this,

it was a fateful problem.

You say, "What do you mean?" Notice the

text.

And a certain woman which had an issue

of blood, what does the Bible say? 12

years.

She's had this for some time.

And I'm going to say this, it's a

miracle she's even still alive.

I'm going to say this to you this

morning, you've got a problem if you're

here lost this morning.

And you know what the reality is in your

life? It's a flowing problem.

It's a fleshly problem, but it's a

fateful problem. You say, "What do you

mean?" Well, I'm saying it's a wonder

you're not dead this morning.

Anybody in the building?

You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying

that's for all of us this morning. I'm

saying if it hadn't been for salvation

by grace that entered into my life, you

realize that I could be in jail. Really,

I'd probably be in hell this morning if

it were not for the grace of God. YOU

SAY, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, PREACHER?" WELL,

I NOTICE in the text that her problem is

expressed in verse number 25, but notice

what's said of her in verse number 26.

Consider the many physicians. The Bible

says that she had suffered many things

of many physicians and had spent all

that she had and was nothing better, but

rather grew worse. And so, there are

many physicians according to this text

and what we found that they are not able

to soothe her pain, but rather they are

deepening her suffering. And not only

are they deepening her suffering, but

they are defrauding her supply. You say,

"What do you mean?" Well, the Bible says

that she'd spent all that she had.

She'd give everything that she'd got to

try to get some help. And in 12 years of

time, there's no telling how many

painful procedures or pricey procedures

that she'd went through and how many

painful practices she had experienced on

her life. I'm saying, friend, these men,

these people that were trying to help

her really were nothing more than the

people that Job described in Job 16 and

verse two as miserable comforters.

They weren't able to do anything for

her.

And the truth is this morning, any

reformation in your life or mine this

morning to try to deal with the sin

issue that you and I have outside of

Jesus Christ is futile.

Amen.

You can't You can't You can't You can't

reform something that needs to be

remade.

Amen, friend.

You say, "What do you mean?" Well, I'm

saying these that the painful practices.

You say, "Well, how do you see that in

the text?" Well, it says, notice verse

26, she had suffered many things. Notice

that.

The painful practices. She had went

through all kinds of try of of of

processes and things trying to help her.

I I read a little bit on this and and

there was a all kinds of different

methods. One writer says that there was

literally 11 or 12 different methods

that Jews would use to try to deal with

this problem. But all evidently if she

had tried all of those in this text,

none of them had proved effective in her

life and they had brought her much pain.

She had suffered many things. And notice

not only the painful practices, but

these pricey procedures. She'd spent all

that she had. She didn't have nothing

left to do. And out of that she still

had the progression of her plight in the

text, verse number 26. She'd spent all

that she had and was nothing better.

Notice it again, but rather grew worse.

It was only getting worse.

You know what, sinner?

Your problem this morning's only going

to get worse.

Until you recognize that there's no hope

for you.

You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying

when you get to the end of yourself,

that's when you can find some help.

You say, "Preacher, how does this relate

to my sin?" Well, I I I said this

already. This problem was a flowing

problem. Now, I know some of y'all are

uncomfortable this morning, but you'll

be all right, okay? Be an adult, all

right? Grow up a little bit. Hear the

sermon, okay?

Everybody with me?

All right. So, this is a flowing

problem.

This is a fleshly problem. This is a

fateful problem in our life. You say,

"Preacher, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE to do

with my sin?" Well, you see what this

woman paints a picture for us all this

morning is a is an image of the

operations of the devil on a soul that's

sick with sin.

You say, "What do you mean?" Well, this

woman's had an issue that for 12 years

she's had all kinds of operations and

all kinds of aid has been tried to give

to her, but she has nothing has been

made better, but it is only been made

worse. And the truth is in your life and

mine, any attempt at reformation, any

attempt at turning over a new leaf to

deal with the sin problem that we have

without redemption, without salvation,

without justification AND PROPITIATION,

WITHOUT THE SACRIFICE, WITHOUT THE blood

of Jesus Christ, IT IS NOT possible for

your case to be fixed.

Say how is that? Well, it reminds you

again, this is true. This image is true.

This is the operation of the devil on

the soul sick with sin. 1 Peter 5 and

verse number 8, the Bible says, "Be

sober, be vigilant because your

adversary the devil walketh about as a

roaring lion." Listen this, "seeking

whom he may devour."

Devour.

He wants to destroy you. You say,

"Preacher, I still don't get what that

has to do with my sin." Well, let me

give you this, all right? Sin truly is a

flowing issue out of the heart of man.

Sin's a fleshly issue. Wouldn't you

agree with that?

Sin's a faithless issue. You realize

sin's got a 100% death rate?

Bible says death passed upon all men

because all have sinned.

You say, "Preacher, what do you mean sin

is a flowing issue?" Turn with me to

Mark chapter 7. Put it in your margin.

Mark 7 · chapter mention

verse number 21. Listen to this.

Jesus said in verse number 20, the

Pharisees were accusing his disciples of

eating with unwashed hands.

Listen to what he says. Verse 19,

"Because it entereth not into the heart,

but into the belly, and goeth out into

the draught, purging all meats." And he

said, "That which cometh out of the man,

that defileth the man."

"For from within, out of the heart of

men," notice that, "proceed evil

thoughts, adulteries, fornications,

murders, thefts, covetousness,

wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an

evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.

All these evil things come from within

and defile

the man.

You say, "Preacher, what is that?" It's

a flowing issue.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the

mouth speaketh. The life is lived out of

the operation of the heart. It is the

heart that gives our mind the choices to

choose.

And so, what we see in this text is is

an expression that sin will truly take

you farther than you want to go.

>> Sin will truly keep you longer than you

want to stay.

And in the case of this woman, what do

we see? Sin will really cost you more

than you ever thought you'd have to pay.

You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying,

friend, she in this text you say,

"PREACHER, IS IT HER SIN?" NO, I'm

saying THE IMAGERY OF HER ILLNESS IS THE

THE FACT OF OUR SIN.

THAT IT IS A FLOWING DISEASE. OUT OF THE

HEART PROCEEDETH EVIL. It is a FLESHLY

DISEASE. OUR FLESH IS UTTERLY DEPRAVED

AND WICKED BEFORE GOD.

And it is a fateful sin. You a fateful

illness. I'll say this, you think about

Satan's operation in the heart of a soul

sick with sin, I think about Judas.

Probably paints to us the best picture

of this image here in the text. You see

the Judas by the operation of Satan,

according to Luke chapter number 22 and

verse number three, Satan entered into

the heart of Judas, the Bible says. He

entered into his heart and out of

Satan's operation within Judas, the

betrayal that flowed out of Judas' lips.

And after this, the outflow brought him

physical destruction. Remember what

happened? Satan used him just long

enough to betray Jesus. And when Satan

left him, you know what the Bible says?

Judas repented himself. You know what he

had? He was full of remorse. And that

remorse caused him to commit suicide and

bring him to his death. You realize what

I'm trying to say to you this morning is

this, this woman was about to die.

Some of you here this morning, if you're

lost, you're already dead.

That's right. And you know what? If you

live your life dead in your sins

spiritually, you ultimately die your

physical death to never live again.

You say, "Preacher, but there'll be life

in hell." No, friend, it'll be death

what it'll be.

It'll be the continual fact of death,

but you're never able to completely die.

You see, this condition has defiled this

woman. It has defrauded this woman. It

has detached her from society, and

ultimately it would destroy her.

That's what your sin will do this

morning.

It'll destroy you.

IT WILL DEFILE YOU. IT WILL DEFRAUD YOU.

IT WILL DETACH YOU, AND ULTIMATELY WILL

DESTROY YOU BECAUSE SIN, WHEN IT'S

FINISHED, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH.

SO, we see her terrible condition

this morning. I'm talking about the

issue of blood.

There's no co-it's no coincidence this

morning that the Bible says without the

shedding of blood there's no remission.

Bible says if any man be in Christ, he's

a new creature. You see, we've got to

have his blood his blood put on our

soul.

So, we can be saved.

Amen.

I see this second of all this morning.

I'm moving, all right? Stay with me. I

see her terrible condition. Number two,

I see her trusting commitment in verse

27 and 28. The Bible says when she had

heard of Jesus, came in the press behind

and touched his garment. For she said,

"If I may touch but his clothes, I shall

be whole." You see, this woman had heard

of the Messiah. She'd heard of his

miracles. She'd heard of the kind of man

that he was. And when we think about

this place in scripture by Mark chapter

number five, according to the harmonies

of the Gospels, this is about the 14th

miracle that Jesus has completed in his

ministry, about halfway through. 14

different recorded miracles that we know

of in the word of God. And so, there's

so many more, I'm sure, that she's heard

of at this point in time. But I want to

say this, it's what she heard that

touched her heart to come to him. You

say, "How is that?" Well, notice the

verse 27, when she had heard of Jesus.

You know what that means?

That literally means that when she had

heard of the things pertaining to who

Jesus is.

You know what? There's

the reality in my life and yours and

many of us know who Jesus is.

We've heard about him. We live in the

Bible Belt. We've heard about him since

he was little boy,

little girl.

But the truth is many of you don't know

what Jesus does.

You say, "Preacher, I know Jesus heals

the blind. I know Jesus saves sinners. I

know all of that."

Well, the the thing is

you've heard that,

but you've never allowed it to affect

you.

You see this woman, the Bible says when

she heard, notice it in the text. When

she had heard of Jesus, what's that next

word? came.

She came. You see, it is what she heard

that touched her heart.

And the Bible as the Bible says, "Mine

eye affected my heart." And her ear had

affected her heart. And so out of this

she knew that he was able, but she also

knew he was willing. You say, "How do

you know that, preacher?" Well, notice

it again. She said, "If I may but touch

his clothes, I shall be whole."

You know what? She knew that

he had what she needed.

But she knew it wasn't just the fact

that he had what she needed. She also

knew that when she got there, he had

what she needed, but he would give her

what she needed.

I'm convinced this morning as more than

I've ever been that Jesus, he has

exactly what I need.

But I'm also convinced this morning that

he'll give me

what I need.

Cuz he's the Messiah, but I want to say

this, he's a man, amen. The Bible says

he was he's tempted in all points such

like as we are yet without sin. He's

able to succor them that are tempted. He

can identify with us.

Y'all rejoice in that.

He has what you need, but he is willing

to give you

what you need. You see

You say preacher, what's the emphasis

here? Well, you notice the condition's

not on him. Notice it again, verse

number 28. For she said, "If I may touch

but his clothes."

She said, "If I can just get to where he

is."

I'm not There's no if with him.

Some of you you got a if with Jesus. You

need to throw that out the window.

The if's with you.

Amen. Notice it again. You see it's his

It's his clothing that she reached for.

We know that there's no power in that

clothing, but it was the act of faith

that she expressed that connected her to

him. She knew that his power was enough.

And if she could just get to where he

was, this may in the verse, VERSE 28,

"IF I may touch but his clothes." This

may shows the condition was on her. HE

WOULD DO his part if she could get past

the people to bring her problem to him.

The reason some of you ain't never had

any help in your whole life is cuz you

can't get her past the press.

Notice it in the verse.

Verse number 27, she came in the press

behind. That press, that great crowd.

She didn't allow the people to stop her

from getting Jesus.

I thought about this. You notice here in

her commitment to him, you know that she

reaches out for him.

And Jesus, evidently according in verse

number 30, Jesus immediately knowing in

himself that virtue had gone out of him.

So, I don't believe that Jesus felt the

physical touch. I mean, he knew that he

touched her. He's God. Amen. But he What

he felt was is that virtue, that power

that exited him

to work in her life.

And I thought about this. You You think

about this situation that she's in. Any

other man would have turned away in

disgust.

Because his hand would have been

defiled.

You think about this. Leviticus chapter

Leviticus 15 · chapter mention

15 and verse number 19 says the man the

woman that with this issue that touches

a man, he'll be unclean to the evening.

But you know what? Jesus was not

affected by that.

Amen. Because sin had no power over the

savior.

Amen, friend. You see this woman reached

Jesus and as she did, he reached her in

that very same moment. You say, "What

are you saying, preacher?" Well, the

image is like this. Their hands never

touched, but I want to say this in the

spiritual realm, her faith was reaching

out for his power, amen? And in that

very same moment, his presence reached

her soul, amen? And it's like two hands

come together, they connected and you

know what happens? Look at the text. We

see there, here in the text, her

trusting commitment, but notice her

timely cure in verse 29. And straightway

Oh, yes, friend. Straightway, the

fountain of her blood was dried up. I

see in her timely cure, there's an

immediate reality. Notice this.

Straightway

the fountain of her blood was dried up.

You see, she was changed in a moment.

You know that's what salvation does.

In a moment. When you place your faith

in him, you know what? In that very

second

changed.

Different. A new creature in Christ

Jesus. You say, "What is that?" That's

new life. There's a new reality. You

say, "What is that?" Well, where once

you was dead in your trespasses and

sins, you are now alive UNTO GOD AND

SALVATION HAS REACHED you and CHANGED

YOU. WHEN SHE TOUCHED HIM AND

STRAIGHTWAY, immediately her reality was

changed.

Some of you, your reality's never been

changed. You still got that flowing

issue. You still got that fleshly issue

in your life. You say, "Preacher, why do

I need that?" Well, I notice in the

verse, there's an immediate reality, but

I'll say this, there was instant relief.

Notice verse 29. Straightway, the

fountain of her blood was dried up and

she felt. Notice that.

She felt.

She felt something that for 12 years she

wasn't able to feel.

You say, "What is that, preacher?"

Clean.

If that don't help you, I ain't got else

I can tell you this morning. I'm telling

you friend this morning, there is

nothing greater in this life on this

side of eternity than being clean and

right with God. There's a relief that

comes over her because what she never

was able to stop, what nobody else was

ever able to fix, what nobody could help

her with, immediately in a moment, one

touch, one act of faith in the Lord

Jesus Christ, and she had a change of

reality, AND OUT OF THAT REALITY, THERE

WAS INSTANT RELIEF. OH, does anybody

remember the night that SHE BOWED ON

THAT ALTAR AND ASKED JESUS CHRIST TO

SAVE YOUR SOUL AND FORGIVE YOUR SINS?

YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED? THAT REALITY

CHANGED. AND WHEN THAT REALITY CHANGED,

OH, DON'T YOU THANK GOD THAT THE BURDEN

OF SIN WAS LIFTED? RELIEF CAME TO YOUR

SOUL. HEY FRIEND, I DON'T ALWAYS FEEL

SAVED, BUT I WANT TO TELL YOU THIS, IF I

QUIT THINKING ABOUT THE FEELINGS AND

JUST START THINKING ABOUT THE FACT THAT

I AM SAVED, AMEN, YOU KNOW WHAT I FIND?

THE FEELINGS START TO COME BACK. AMEN.

I'M SAYING FRIEND, I'M SAVED, NOT

BECAUSE OF ANYTHING THAT I'VE DONE, BUT

JUST BECAUSE THE REALITY THAT HE'S

BROUGHT INTO ME. I AM A NEW CREATURE,

AND THANK GOD FOR THE RELIEF, AND IT IS

INSTANT, AMEN.

That burden OF SIN HAS BEEN LIFTED,

AMEN, AND OUR SIN HAS BEEN CAST AS FAR

AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST. IT IS NO

MORE. THIS WOMAN GOT RELIEF THAT NOBODY

ELSE COULD GIVE HER. I DON'T KNOW WHERE

YOU'RE AT THIS MORNING, BUT LET ME SAY

THIS, THIS LIFE IS TOO SHORT AND

ETERNITY'S TOO LONG TO BEAR THE BURDEN

OF sin alone.

You can have relief this morning.

You say, "What is it this morning?"

Well, I want to say this, her immediate

reality brought instant relief, but it

was because of an individual remedy.

Oh friend,

notice it in the text,

she felt in her body, notice this,

that she was healed

of that plague.

She was healed.

You see, there was and is only one

remedy.

This refutes the idea that there's many

ways to heaven.

Nobody's ever got any help outside of

Jesus.

Nobody's ever found any hope outside of

Jesus. Nobody's ever found any hope

friend Hallelujah. I'm saying nobody's

ever found a shoulder that they can lean

on continually. Nobody's ever found any

peace. Nobody's ever found ANY ANY

PROSPERITY OUTSIDE OF anybody or

anything other than Jesus Christ AND HIS

WORD. I'M SAYING JEREMIAH ASKED IT THIS

WAY IN JEREMIAH 8 AND VERSE 22. HE SAID

IS THERE NO BALM IN GILEAD? IS THERE NO

PHYSICIAN THERE? YOU KNOW WHAT HE WAS

SAYING? HE SAID THERE IS A BALM IN

GILEAD. THERE IS A PHYSICIAN. THIS

WOMAN, SHE MET THE BALM. SHE MET THE

GREAT PHYSICIAN. AND IN THAT MOMENT ALL

THE OTHER PHYSICIANS, ALL THE OTHER

PROCEDURES, AND EVERYTHING THAT WAS IN

HER PAST, IT FADED AWAY. IT WAS LEFT TO

THE SIDE. WHY? BECAUSE SHE MET ONE WHO

DID FOR HER IN A MOMENT WHAT NOBODY ELSE

COULD DO IN HER WHOLE LIFE.

I'M SAYING I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOU'VE

LIVED BOUND TO SIN. I DON'T KNOW HOW

LONG YOU'VE BEEN BURDENED, BUT I CAN

TELL YOU THIS FOR A FACT THIS MORNING.

IF YOU COME TO HIM, THANK GOD THERE IS A

REMEDY FOR SIN. AMEN. AND HE WILL

ADMINISTER IT TO YOUR SOUL. AMEN.

OH YES FRIEND. I'm saying you don't get

excited about it. Bless God I'll get

excited about it. I'M SAYING FRIEND I'M

SAVED. PRAISE GOD. I'LL NEVER SEE THE

CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED. OH

HALLELUJAH THIS MORNING. THANK GOD. GOD

HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE AND THE REMEDY HAS

COME to me. Amen.

Oh yes friend. You see this woman made

him that day. And the great physician

he stepped in.

He stepped in. I'm going to tell you

this.

He's able.

Her timely cure.

I'm thankful just like that old song

says, when he's 4 days late, he's still

right on time.

Notice this and I'm done.

We see her

timely cure, but notice her testimony of

Christ.

Bible tells us that verse number 30

Jesus immediately knowing in himself

that virtue had gone out of him.

Turned him about in the press and said,

"Who touched my clothes?" You see

Christ's awareness is seen in verse 30.

Immediately knowing in himself. Now,

it does not say that Jesus knew in his

physical body that somebody had touched

him. He felt a physical touch, but this

was not a matter of physical for him.

This was a spiritual thing. I want to

say this, all right? There's a great

argument in this day and time about

whether Christ could sin or not.

I'm going to say this to you this

morning. It was impossible for Jesus to

sin.

If you need a theological discourse on

that, you see me after the service and

I'll

play you some preachers that can tell

you about it. Amen.

But I want to tell you this this

morning. When we look at this matter in

this woman's life, what he did for her

was a spiritual work.

You say, "How is that?" Well,

Bible talks about and I I don't want to

get too deep into this, but the Bible

talks about even those those who are

saved. Talking about partaking of

communion. We dealt with this several

probably last year, I guess it was. We

need to have communion again sometime.

Amen. Whenever your preacher decides

it's good. Amen. But

but I dealt with this subject talking

about those that take communion when

they're not right with God. It says Paul

literally said to the Corinthian church,

he said, "Because that he said because

of that there'll be many weak and sickly

among you and some sleep." Death comes

to them because of them taking of that

unworthily. You say, "What does all that

mean, preacher?" Well, it means simply

this. Many times your sickness that's

physical is a spiritual problem.

>> Right.

>> You say, "How is that?" Well, at the

very least, the sickness came to you

because of the death that's in your

body.

Bible says that death passed upon all

men cuz all that all have sinned. And

so, cancer and sickness and all of that

comes as a spiritual issue.

Spiritual death, you are dead. Amen. And

that death in your life, your body is

physically going to die. And so, that

produces what that produces is is a

sickness that's in you. And that

sickness, the decay of our body, we all

will one day die. But I think about this

in this text. You see Christ's

awareness, he was aware completely of

the spiritual nature of this matter.

Notice it again, verse 30. Jesus

immediately knowing in himself, notice

that word that virtue. That word virtue

literally means power.

Virtue had gone out of him.

Turned him about in the press and said,

"Who touched my clothes?" Now, notice

the question he asked. He doesn't ask a

spiritual question.

He asked a physical question, doesn't

he?

Why does he do that? Because he knows

they don't understand that.

This is something you need to get a hold

of this morning.

With your physical illness, the troubles

that you have in your flesh, there are

spiritual matters behind that that

you'll never understand on this side.

All right? I got time to deal with all

this. Jesus asked a physical question.

Why does he do that? Notice first number

31 and verse 32. And he looked around

about to see her that had done this

thing. This is still physical. Now, I'm

going to say this, Christ's awareness is

seen in verse 30. He's aware of the

spiritual. And he poses this question,

all right? And it's a question on the

front. This is a question that they

hear, but in Jesus, what is this? This

is more of an announcement. He knows

exactly who touched him. He knows

exactly what's just happened. So, you

know what he's doing? He's asking a

question so this woman can answer him,

but all he's doing is announcing to the

world

she's been helped.

I'm going somewhere, stay with me. He

was giving her a chance to respond in

faith again

for her growth.

You see out of his awareness, he makes

this announcement, then he reveals his

affection. Notice it again. He looked

round about to see her. Now again, some

writers say Jesus looked around like he

was trying to find her.

Jesus is God.

He knew exactly where she was at.

He didn't look trying to find her. He

looked around He looked around so he

could look at her.

What love. Could you imagine that?

Look notice it again. He looked around

Notice this. Just notice the wording. He

looked round about to see her.

He looked at her intentionally. You know

what that was? It was a look of love.

It was a look of affection.

You know what Jesus said Jesus in his

heart, he was pleased. You know why

that? Because she believed in him.

And you know what? He got to bless her

because she believed in him. And you

know what? He looked at her with love.

Notice it again in the text. Verse 33,

but the woman fearing and trembling,

knowing what was done to her, came and

fell down before him and told him all

the truth. You see, he looked around, he

laid his eyes on her in compassion. We

think about that little children song,

the Father up above is looking down in

love. And I thought about it in this

text. God from heaven was looking down

there to see this woman, but Jesus on

the earth was looking at this woman

before her. And she laid her eyes on him

in the text. Her faith Oh, friend, are

you with me this morning? I'm saying her

faith, her belief in him HAD BECOME

SIGHT IN HER. AMEN. SHE SAW THE MESSIAH.

OH, HALLELUJAH THIS MORNING. SHE CAME TO

HIM AND ALL YOU SAY IT SAYS she's

fearing and trembling. YOU KNOW WHAT

THAT WORD that phrase fearing and

trembling means? It means reverential

awe.

She was amazed. Yeah, she probably was

weeping. Yeah, HER BODILY FRAME PROBABLY

LOOKED LIKE SHE was afraid, but oh, in

her heart, she knew something had been

done FOR HER THAT NOBODY ELSE COULD HAVE

EVER DONE. AND IN HER HEART, she beheld

him. And when she came TO HIM, SHE

DIDN'T ONLY BEHOLD HIM, BUT LISTEN TO

WHAT SHE SAID. KNOWING WHAT was done in

her, she came and fell down before him.

Notice this, and told him all the truth.

She came to him in awe. She was aware of

what he had been what had been done in

her and for her. She announces the story

of her sickness before him and the

salvation he has brought into her life.

Notice that she told him all the truth.

You know, we think about that. You know,

we tell our kids, "Tell me the truth.

Tell me the truth. Tell me the truth."

That's not what this is.

You see, Jesus knew the truth.

Doesn't Jesus always know?

God knows what you're going through. He

knows He knows all of that, okay? Why

does she do this in this text? It's an

act of worship.

She told him all

the truth. She may not have known what

she was doing, but Jesus did.

You say, "How is that?" Well, I want to

say this, all right? Don't miss what I'm

fixing to say. When the truth has been

put in your heart,

and the truth is before your eyes, the

truth is what will come out of your

mouth.

You say, "What do you mean?" Well, she's

been changed, right?

The word of God, the power of God has

worked within her.

You know what happens? Jesus is standing

before her. So, the truth is now in her.

The truth is now before her. She's

looking at him, and you know what she

does? She has to respond in worship.

Lord, thank you.

Lord, I praise you. You know the reason

why we don't glorify Him? It's one of

two things. Either He's not before us or

His truth's not in us.

You listening?

Some of you have never praised Him in

your life, it's because you've never

been saved.

His truth is not in you.

All right?

Some of you don't praise him anymore

because his truth is not before you.

He put it in you. He done a work for

you.

You with me? He done a work before you,

but somewhere along the way

you're not looking at him anymore.

But you know what? Jesus

He done a work in her.

And he said, "Who touched my clothes?"

Not because he didn't know, but he just

wanted her to give her a chance to see

him. He didn't need to see her. Oh, but

friend, she needed to see him. Amen. I'm

saying, friend, when she turned around

and looked at him, amen, that love in

his heart for her began to overflow IN

HER SOUL. YOU SAY, "PREACHER, WHY DO YOU

SHOUT? WHY DO YOU TESTIFY? WHY DO YOU

SCREAM AND HOLLER?" I DO THAT BECAUSE OF

LOVE OF GOD IN MY SOUL. HE'S PUTTING IT

IN ME AND IT'S BEFORE MY EYES. I'M

SAYING THIS CONGREGATION THIS MORNING,

IT'S THE MERCY OF GOD THAT YOU AND I ARE

HERE THIS MORNING. IT'S THE GRACE OF GOD

THAT WE GET TO BE TOGETHER. I'M SAYING,

FRIEND, IF IT WERE NOT FOR HIS LOVE,

WE'D ALL BE IN HELL THIS MORNING. OH,

BUT BLESSED BE HIS NAME. HE ALLOWS US

THE PRIVILEGE TO SEE HIM WHO'S

INVISIBLE. AND WHEN WE SEE HIM, IT JUST

MAKES US WANT TO LIFT HIM UP. IT JUST

MAKES US WANT TO PRAISE HIM AND GLORIFY

HIM BECAUSE OF WHAT HE'S DONE ON THE

INSIDE. AMEN.

When the truth has been put in your

heart and the truth is before your eyes,

ultimately the truth in worship is what

will come out of your mouth.

I'm going to give you this and I'm done

this morning.

Talking about the issue of blood.

There's a lot more

to all this that we could talk about. A

lot of verses, a lot of things. Like I

said, you want to hear a good message,

go online and listen to that. What I'm

going to tell you this, all right?

You see this woman, she needed help that

was only attainable by faith. Let me say

this.

You're not going to find help any other

help any other way.

You're not going to find help because

Bible says without faith it's

impossible.

The only thing in your life that you

cannot live without is faith.

You say how is that? Well, faith is the

key that unlocks your relationship with

Jesus.

But you know what? When you get saved,

when that door is unlocked, you know

what? Faith is what keeps you in that

relationship with him.

Faith is what keeps your fellowship. And

so faith, she she needed help that's

only attainable by faith. But I want to

say this, it was only attainable by

faith, it was only available in Christ.

You can place your faith in anything.

I'm going to tell you this, until you

place it in Christ, the power is only

going to be available to you in him and

him alone. That's it.

The life that we are called to live is

only possible by faith. And the life

that we are called to live is only

empowered by Christ.

You see this woman testified of her

faith coming to him. I got to show you

this, all right?

Open your Bibles back up, okay?

Mark chapter 5.

Mark 5 · chapter mention

I got to show you this, all right? Lord

showed me this studying.

I closed my Bible too early, too. It's

all right.

Notice verse 28.

This was what the first thing This is

what made me study this message, this

truth right here by itself, verse 28.

What's the first three words of verse

28?

For she said. You know what that is?

That's a record.

Say, "What do you mean?" John Mark in

this text recorded this. John Mark

recorded this. For she said. Now, what

is that part of? Well, it's a part of

verse number 33 when it says she fell

down before him and told him all the

truth.

What was the statement of her faith? For

she said, "If I may touch but his

clothes, I shall be whole."

You know what this means?

When this woman in the end it says she's

telling him all the truth.

Mark standing by listening.

And she's standing there telling Jesus.

She said, "Jesus, I know if I just touch

your clothes. I don't even have to touch

you. But I knew if I just touched your

clothes, I'd be whole."

That's the record. Mark records that.

You know what? Your faith is being

recorded.

You say, "What do you mean?" Well, Mark

wouldn't have recorded that if she

hadn't said it.

God has a record of your faith in

heaven, but let me say this, there's

people keeping a record of your faith in

this life.

Are you listening to me?

I hope you're listening to me. Mark

wouldn't have known that if she hadn't

said it.

Some of you God's done stuff for you and

you don't say nothing about it.

Some of you God's done stuff for you and

you used to talk about it. You don't

talk about it no more.

You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying

you're saved by the grace of God.

There's nothing else to talk about other

than that.

Man, we won't talk about getting

delivered from this sickness and

delivered from that disease and cancer

was healed and all that's fine and good,

but friend, sin was far greater a

sickness than any of that ever was.

Are you listening to me? Amen. I'M

SAYING SHE TESTIFIED AND THE RECORD WAS

KEPT, AMEN, and she said, "If I may but

touch HIS CLOTHES, I SHALL BE WHOLE."

OH, FRIEND, I'M THANKFUL FOR THE RECORD.

THERE'S SOME PEOPLE IN MY LIFE THAT KNOW

I'VE TESTIFIED TO THEM THAT GOD HAS

SAVED ME, THAT GOD HAS CALLED ME, THAT

GOD HAS BLESSED ME, AND THERE'S A

RECORD. THANK GOD HE'S KEEPING A RECORD,

BUT THANK GOD THERE'S PEOPLE AROUND ME,

AND I HOPE YOU PEOPLE THIS MORNING WILL

KEEP A RECORD FOR THIS PREACHER. I CAN

PROMISE YOU I WOULDN'T HAVE NOTHING. I

WOULDN'T BE NOTHING. I'D BE A NOBODY

GOING NOWHERE IF IT WASN'T FOR GOD IN MY

LIFE. I'M SAYING THANK GOD FOR THE

RECORD OF THE TESTIMONY of somebody

who's been changed.

She testified of her faith coming to

him. This is part of that truth, and we

should speak of our faith in him. It's

recorded of us just as it was recorded

of her. And I want to say this, and I'm

done this morning.

The press that was around her

did not stop her.

>> Right.

>> Those people that she was surrounded by,

listen to me, you young uns.

The people that surround you,

you cannot let them stop you.

>> Right.

>> You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying

you cannot let them stop you from

getting to Jesus.

The press around her did not stop her,

and when she was healed, they all heard

it.

You know what? Sometimes the

hardest times it is to get to Jesus are

the times he gets the most glory.

You know what? When she came before him

and told him

all the truth, the Bible says,

you know what happened?

All that press,

all those disciples, all those people,

they heard her testify what God had just

done in her.

I'm going to say this.

We must not allow the world to stop us

>> Right.

>> from getting what we need from Christ.

Because they also have to see the

difference made in us

when we do get what we need from him.

I want to say this to you this morning.

I don't know what you need, but you

cannot afford to let somebody keep you

from getting it.

You say, "Preacher, what's that title

mean?" Well, I want to say this. We have

all got issues, all right?

Now,

I made this an issue of your sin. If

you're lost, you today you need to be

saved, all right?

But what's the issue of blood in your

life?

What's the flowing issue? What's that

fleshly issue? What's that faithful

issue, that faithful problem you can't

seem to get victory over?

I want to say this.

Jesus

is passing by.

You say, "Preacher, he's on his way.

THERE'S PEOPLE GOT BIGGER PROBLEMS THAN

ME." WELL, I WANT to say this. Jairus,

he didn't stop Jesus, and there ain't

nobody going to stop Jesus from helping

you.

>> You know what? The only person that can

stop Jesus from helping you is you.

If you don't get help, it's cuz you

choose not to.

I want to ask you this question today.

What's your issue?

As we stand, every head's bowed and

every eye's closed.

What's your issue?

You might be like this woman, your

condition is terrible.

I don't know how bad it is.

You might be like her, and only you and

God know.

Her condition caused her embarrassment

daily.

She felt as though she couldn't go

anywhere.

There was no hope for her.

She'd spent all that she had.

She'd tried everything people had said

to try.

Let me ask you, why don't you try Jesus?

You say, "Preacher,

>> [music]

>> preacher, I know that I've still got a

sin issue.

Preacher, I need to be saved.

Would you pray for me?"

Anybody here today say, "Preacher, I I'm

being honest, I need to be saved.

[music] You pray for me." Just slip your

hand up, we'll pray for you this

morning.

Be honest with you and God. Preacher,

would you pray for me? I need to be

saved.

>> [music]

>> Slip your hand up. Just be honest. Slip

your hand up and hold it.

Hold it high.

Let me ask you this. You say, "Preacher,

I'm saved, but

but I got an issue.

Matter of fact, preacher, I got a lot of

issues."

God sees [music] that.

You see

Jesus wants to deal with those things in

your life

that nobody else knows about.

Because it's those things that really

keep [music] you from fellowship with

him.

It's those things that you don't want

anybody else to know about.

It's those issues that defile you.

They take your joy away. They defraud

you.

That issue's ultimately going to destroy

you. You say, "Preacher, I'm saved, but

I I want to tell you this, if you allow

that to continue to eat at you, it'll

take your life.

It'll take your life.

You may be here this morning, you've got

and you've got a physical, you've got a

health problem this morning.

You feel like you've done all that you

can

to find help. [music]

I want to say this this morning, Meadows

Baptist Church and this pastor is not a

prosperity gospel preacher.

I don't believe that if you

stay right with God that you're going to

have perfect health and you're going to

have

>> [music]

>> plenty of wealth and

all of that. I don't believe that for a

minute.

I'll tell you what I do believe.

I do believe we can trust an unknown

future

>> [music]

>> to a known savior.

And your life can be placed in his hands

this morning.

And maybe he's waiting on you to do

that.

Maybe that sickness that you've got,

maybe maybe you are hanging on to

everything [music] you can keep your

hands on. I I don't know what you need

this morning.

But maybe he's just waiting for you.

He's passing by.

Won't you just reach out and touch him?

You say, "Preacher, what is that?"

That's faith.

Trusting him.

You say, "Preacher, doctor said there's

hope.

The great physician's passing by.

And we believe he's able.

But do you believe he's able?

Father, I pray in Jesus' name.

Lord, would you help us this morning?

God, to embrace the truth.

Lord, that many times the

matters of our life, Lord, we we think

about physical health, and Lord, I I

know this morning that people [music]

that go through health crisis, Lord, I

know that that's not

that's not necessarily because of some

some sin that they've committed.

But Lord, that

suffering that they're experiencing,

Lord, can do one or two things for them.

Because it is [music] spiritual.

It can either drive them away from you

into a realm, Lord, of

controlled by the spirit world.

Lord, to try to answer the problems with

pills and injections, and Lord, we know

I'm not I'm not against all of that.

Lord, I believe that

there [snorts] is help for that.

But Lord, many times I think we turn too

soon

to the answers of the world, and when we

should just turn to you.

And Lord, I pray, God, that you would

help people here today

Lord, to to place their trust in you

first and foremost.

God, do not let their problem not let

their issue take them away, but God, to

allow you to control their gaze.

Lord, I pray, Father, for that one here

today that's got a spiritual issue,

Lord, and it's flowing out of their

life, and

>> [music]

>> Lord, if they're not careful, Lord,

those around them are going to begin to

see. Lord, I pray they deal with that on

this altar. Lord, if they haven't

already, I pray they'd come now

and get that right with you.

And Lord, I pray for that in here today

that's lost. God, no doubt in the crowd

this size somebody here today is not

saved.

Lord, their issues going to take them to

hell if they don't get saved.

Lord, I pray you'd help them see there's

no amount of sin.

Lord, there's no amount of seasonal

pleasure. Lord, you told us sin has

pleasure, but just for season. There's

no amount of seasonal pleasure that's

worth going to hell over.

But I pray you'd deal with their heart

today.

And Lord, would you help us all, Father,

Lord, to keep the issues out of our

life. Keep them in your hands

by faith. Lord, we love you.

Thank you for this time. We ask it all

in Jesus' name.
