  9. Now, let's join Pastor Charlie [music]

  10. Branch

  11. with a word from God.

  12. >> Amen.

  13. I don't know about you, but I'm going

  14. there. Amen. And it is home. I tell you,

  15. the longer I stay down here, the less it

  16. feels like home. And I tell you,

  17. this life I I think I believe as Paul

  18. wrote, he said, "If in this life only we

  19. have hope in Christ, we're of all men

  20. most miserable." And I believe that. If

  21. all there was to this all there was to

  22. life was this life, it would be a sad

  23. reality, wouldn't it? But I'm thankful

  24. this is not all there is. Amen. And I

  25. bless the name of the Lord this morning.

  26. If you have a Bible, I'll invite you to

  27. turn with me to Mark's Gospel, chapter

  28. number five. I invite you to stand in

  29. honor and reverence to the reading of

  30. God's word, if you can and are able.

  31. Mark's Gospel, chapter number five.

  32. We'll begin reading in verse number 21.

  33. I do want to let you know I did say

  34. wrong this morning. Miss Betty Jean was

  35. in the hospital due to some heart

  36. issues. They did double up her medicine.

  37. She's not going to be having a cath this

  38. week, but she is waiting to see a heart

  39. doctor. And so, if y'all would remember

  40. her in prayer this morning, and I pray

  41. that God would bless and help her. And I

  42. know she's watching right now. We love

  43. you, sister. And we appreciate you and

  44. very, very much. And I appreciate all of

  45. you. And we know when you're not here.

  46. Amen. And I thank God for you. Thank God

  47. for you being here.

  48. And I appreciate each one of you. Mark

  49. chapter number five, verse number 21.

  50. The Bible says, "And when Jesus was

  51. passed over again by ship unto the other

  52. side, much people gathered unto him. And

  53. he was nigh unto the sea. And behold,

  54. there cometh one of the rulers of the

  55. synagogue, Jairus

  56. by name. And when he saw him, he fell at

  57. his feet, and besought him greatly,

  58. saying, "My little daughter lieth at the

  59. point of death. I pray thee, come and

  60. lay thine hands on her, that she may be

  61. healed, and she shall live." And Jesus

  62. went with him, and much people followed

  63. him and thronged him. And a certain

  64. woman, which had an issue of blood 12

  65. years, and had suffered many things of

  66. many physicians, and had spent all that

  67. she had, and was nothing better, but

  68. rather grew worse, when she had heard of

  69. Jesus, came in the press behind, and

  70. touched his garment. For she said, "If I

  71. may touch but his clothes, I shall be

  72. whole." And straightway, the fountain of

  73. her blood was dried up, and she felt in

  74. her body that she was healed of that

  75. plague. Jesus, immediately knowing in

  76. himself that virtue had gone out of him,

  77. turned him about in the press, and said,

  78. "Who touched my clothes?" And his

  79. disciples said unto him, "Thou seest the

  80. multitude thronging thee, and sayest

  81. thou, 'Who touched me?'"

  82. And he looked round about to see her

  83. that had done this thing. But the woman,

  84. fearing and trembling, knowing what was

  85. done in her, came and fell down before

  86. him, and told him all the truth. And he

  87. said unto her, "Daughter, thy faith hath

  88. made thee whole. Go in peace, and be

  89. whole of thy plague." Father, thank you

  90. for the privilege to be in the house of

  91. God today. Thank you for the opportunity

  92. to gather around the word of God. And

  93. Lord, I do not take this opportunity

  94. lightly. Lord, I thank you for the word

  95. of God that has been shared, the

  96. excellent Sunday school lesson this

  97. morning. We thank you, God, for that.

  98. Lord, I pray you'd help us to be mindful

  99. of our words in this day and time. Lord,

  100. I ask you, God, as your servant this

  101. morning, you would set a watch about my

  102. lips. I pray you'd help me to say

  103. nothing, God, that would hinder the

  104. working of the Holy Ghost of God in this

  105. service, but everything, God, that would

  106. be pleasing and honoring glorifying to

  107. thee because faith cometh by hearing and

  108. hearing by the word of God. And you

  109. said, "How shall they hear without a

  110. preacher?" And Lord, I thank you, God,

  111. that you have allowed me the privilege

  112. to be the preacher for this service

  113. today and the pastor of this great

  114. church. I ask you, God, to help us save

  115. the center nearest tail, reclaim the

  116. backslidden, God, we pray. And Lord, I

  117. pray every heart will leave challenged

  118. and changed by the word of God today.

  119. And Lord, may you get glory and honor

  120. for who you are. Lord, we love you.

  121. Thank you for loving us. We ask it all

  122. in Jesus' name. For his sake we pray.

  123. Amen. Thank you for standing. You can be

  124. seated this morning. Mark's Gospel,

  125. chapter number five. I love this chapter

  126. of the word of God and probably some of

  127. my favorite scripture to preach from. I

  128. have preached out of this chapter uh

  129. several times, but I've never preached

  130. this particular portion of scripture. I

  131. was talking to my wife on yesterday as I

  132. was praying about the service today and

  133. I told her, I said, "I really believe

  134. the reason I have never preached this

  135. passage is cuz my father-in-law preaches

  136. a message out of this passage." And to

  137. be honest with you, I don't think that

  138. I've ever heard anybody preach it better

  139. than he does. But this is where God has

  140. us today. And so, if you're not

  141. satisfied when the message is over, go

  142. online and look up Dealing With Issues

  143. by Brother Todd McKean and you can hear

  144. a good message on this text. Amen. But

  145. uh we're going to preach today, all

  146. right? Hey, y'all right this morning?

  147. Amen. Wake up, okay? We're going to

  148. preach, all right? You going to help me

  149. preach this morning? Amen. I need better

  150. than that. You going to help me preach

  151. this morning? Amen. Matthew Mark chapter

  152. number five. This chapter this morning,

  153. when we think about in its entirety, is

  154. riddled with hard cases. Now, if you

  155. know your Bible this morning, you know

  156. that in this chapter there are three

  157. different instances that are told in

  158. this chapter and Christ is going to

  159. handle each one of them. Aren't you

  160. thankful that there's not a problem too

  161. big for him that he cannot solve? Amen.

  162. And he deals with the Gadarene

  163. demon-possessed man here in verses 1

  164. through verse number 20. What a great

  165. life change that the Lord Jesus brings

  166. to him in this text. And the fact that

  167. he was dealing with that that demon,

  168. that legion of demons that was in him.

  169. And God delivers him from those demons.

  170. And then he will deal after our text

  171. this morning with a young girl who is

  172. dying in verses 35 through 43 of this

  173. chapter. And our text this morning he

  174. will deal with a a gal who is diseased

  175. in verses 21 through 34. And the miracle

  176. is that Christ proves victorious in each

  177. case. Amen. I want to say this, there's

  178. not a there's not a hard case too hard

  179. for him. Amen. And he proves victorious

  180. in each case in this text. But I want to

  181. say this, when we look at these cases,

  182. these instances in this chapter, we find

  183. that each of these situations

  184. have run beyond the ability of man.

  185. You say, "What do you mean, preacher?"

  186. Well, let's just look in the text. Verse

  187. number three of chapter 5, the Bible

  188. says of the demon-possessed man, "But he

  189. had his dwelling among the tombs."

  190. Listen to this, "And no man could bind

  191. him, no, not with chains. Because it had

  192. been often bound with fetters and

  193. chains. And the chains had been plucked

  194. asunder by him. And the fetters broken

  195. in pieces. Neither could any man tame

  196. him." And so the demon-possessed man had

  197. went beyond the ability of man to fix

  198. him. And then the little girl in the

  199. text for she comes first in this

  200. chapter. And then we'll end the text in

  201. verse number 23. Jairus speaks to Jesus

  202. and says in verse 23, "My little

  203. daughter lies at the point of death. I

  204. pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her

  205. that she may be healed and she shall

  206. live." And so no doubt in my mind, these

  207. parents, this man, Jairus, loved his

  208. daughter. He loved her so much that he

  209. had done everything in his power that he

  210. could to help her. But, there came a

  211. time when man's power was not able to

  212. help her. And so, the demon-possessed

  213. man had run beyond the ability of man to

  214. receive help. And this little daughter

  215. had run beyond the ability of man to

  216. receive help. But, I notice in this text

  217. that this woman, this gal here in our

  218. verses, has run beyond the ability of

  219. man to receive help. And I want to

  220. consider four things in this text about

  221. this thought, the issue of blood this

  222. morning. Now, we notice number one this

  223. morning by in the message. I want you to

  224. notice her terrible condition that's

  225. mentioned in verse number 25. The Bible

  226. says, "And a certain woman which had an

  227. issue of blood 12 years and had suffered

  228. many things of many physicians and had

  229. spent all that she had and was nothing

  230. better, but rather grew worse." And so,

  231. it is labeled in this text that she is

  232. in dire straits. Now, I I find it

  233. interesting that Jesus is on his journey

  234. back to Jairus' house to help him with

  235. his daughter. And this interruption

  236. comes in the path as they are journeying

  237. there to bring healing to this daughter

  238. who is about to die. And I'm thankful,

  239. amen, that Jesus is always headed

  240. somewhere. Now, I want to say this this

  241. morning, Jesus has a purpose for the

  242. path that he is walking in your life.

  243. And you say, "What do you mean?" Well, I

  244. don't know what direction you're headed

  245. in. I don't know where it feels like

  246. you're going. But, I'll say this, if you

  247. are walking in the will of God and

  248. you're doing what he asked you to do,

  249. you just know he's got an end goal in

  250. mind.

  251. Amen.

  252. And so, this interruption here often

  253. brings an interac- or brings an

  254. interaction here with this woman in the

  255. text. Now, notice her terrible condi-

  256. condition. You say, "What do you mean

  257. her terrible condition?" Well, I would

  258. say her terrible condition is expressed

  259. by the term that's used in verse number

  260. 25. That term issue. Notice that. And a

  261. certain woman had an issue of blood.

  262. Now, that word issue literally means a

  263. flowing. So, there is

  264. a flowing issue in her life. But then

  265. there's not only a flowing issue, but

  266. there is a fleshly issue in verse 25. A

  267. certain woman which had an issue, notice

  268. this, of blood. Of blood. And so, I

  269. think the the terrible condition is

  270. expressed by this term issue, the

  271. flowing, and by the flesh, this flowing

  272. of blood here in the text. And I read

  273. this, literally speaking, her life is in

  274. danger. You say, "What do you mean?"

  275. Well, Leviticus 17, verse number 11 says

  276. this, that the life of the flesh is in

  277. the blood.

  278. Do you realize that we we think about

  279. history and there was a time in medicine

  280. days gone by, been many hundred years,

  281. that they would bloodlet people and they

  282. would take their blood out of their body

  283. trying to heal them. But what they did

  284. not realize is they were endangering

  285. them further more than they were

  286. actually helping them. And we know now

  287. by modern medicine that blood

  288. transfusions are almost always necessary

  289. for cancer patients. And you say, "What

  290. do you mean?" I'm saying this text here

  291. reveals that she has a problem that is

  292. endangering her life. I'm going to say

  293. this, it was a fleshly problem. It was a

  294. flowing problem. I'm going to say this,

  295. it was a fateful problem.

  296. You say, "What do you mean?" Notice the

  297. text.

  298. And a certain woman which had an issue

  299. of blood, what does the Bible say? 12

  300. years.

  301. She's had this for some time.

  302. And I'm going to say this, it's a

  303. miracle she's even still alive.

  304. I'm going to say this to you this

  305. morning, you've got a problem if you're

  306. here lost this morning.

  307. And you know what the reality is in your

  308. life? It's a flowing problem.

  309. It's a fleshly problem, but it's a

  310. fateful problem. You say, "What do you

  311. mean?" Well, I'm saying it's a wonder

  312. you're not dead this morning.

  313. Anybody in the building?

  314. You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying

  315. that's for all of us this morning. I'm

  316. saying if it hadn't been for salvation

  317. by grace that entered into my life, you

  318. realize that I could be in jail. Really,

  319. I'd probably be in hell this morning if

  320. it were not for the grace of God. YOU

  321. SAY, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN, PREACHER?" WELL,

  322. I NOTICE in the text that her problem is

  323. expressed in verse number 25, but notice

  324. what's said of her in verse number 26.

  325. Consider the many physicians. The Bible

  326. says that she had suffered many things

  327. of many physicians and had spent all

  328. that she had and was nothing better, but

  329. rather grew worse. And so, there are

  330. many physicians according to this text

  331. and what we found that they are not able

  332. to soothe her pain, but rather they are

  333. deepening her suffering. And not only

  334. are they deepening her suffering, but

  335. they are defrauding her supply. You say,

  336. "What do you mean?" Well, the Bible says

  337. that she'd spent all that she had.

  338. She'd give everything that she'd got to

  339. try to get some help. And in 12 years of

  340. time, there's no telling how many

  341. painful procedures or pricey procedures

  342. that she'd went through and how many

  343. painful practices she had experienced on

  344. her life. I'm saying, friend, these men,

  345. these people that were trying to help

  346. her really were nothing more than the

  347. people that Job described in Job 16 and

  348. verse two as miserable comforters.

  349. They weren't able to do anything for

  350. her.

  351. And the truth is this morning, any

  352. reformation in your life or mine this

  353. morning to try to deal with the sin

  354. issue that you and I have outside of

  355. Jesus Christ is futile.

  356. Amen.

  357. You can't You can't You can't You can't

  358. reform something that needs to be

  359. remade.

  360. Amen, friend.

  361. You say, "What do you mean?" Well, I'm

  362. saying these that the painful practices.

  363. You say, "Well, how do you see that in

  364. the text?" Well, it says, notice verse

  365. 26, she had suffered many things. Notice

  366. that.

  367. The painful practices. She had went

  368. through all kinds of try of of of

  369. processes and things trying to help her.

  370. I I read a little bit on this and and

  371. there was a all kinds of different

  372. methods. One writer says that there was

  373. literally 11 or 12 different methods

  374. that Jews would use to try to deal with

  375. this problem. But all evidently if she

  376. had tried all of those in this text,

  377. none of them had proved effective in her

  378. life and they had brought her much pain.

  379. She had suffered many things. And notice

  380. not only the painful practices, but

  381. these pricey procedures. She'd spent all

  382. that she had. She didn't have nothing

  383. left to do. And out of that she still

  384. had the progression of her plight in the

  385. text, verse number 26. She'd spent all

  386. that she had and was nothing better.

  387. Notice it again, but rather grew worse.

  388. It was only getting worse.

  389. You know what, sinner?

  390. Your problem this morning's only going

  391. to get worse.

  392. Until you recognize that there's no hope

  393. for you.

  394. You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying

  395. when you get to the end of yourself,

  396. that's when you can find some help.

  397. You say, "Preacher, how does this relate

  398. to my sin?" Well, I I I said this

  399. already. This problem was a flowing

  400. problem. Now, I know some of y'all are

  401. uncomfortable this morning, but you'll

  402. be all right, okay? Be an adult, all

  403. right? Grow up a little bit. Hear the

  404. sermon, okay?

  405. Everybody with me?

  406. All right. So, this is a flowing

  407. problem.

  408. This is a fleshly problem. This is a

  409. fateful problem in our life. You say,

  410. "Preacher, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE to do

  411. with my sin?" Well, you see what this

  412. woman paints a picture for us all this

  413. morning is a is an image of the

  414. operations of the devil on a soul that's

  415. sick with sin.

  416. You say, "What do you mean?" Well, this

  417. woman's had an issue that for 12 years

  418. she's had all kinds of operations and

  419. all kinds of aid has been tried to give

  420. to her, but she has nothing has been

  421. made better, but it is only been made

  422. worse. And the truth is in your life and

  423. mine, any attempt at reformation, any

  424. attempt at turning over a new leaf to

  425. deal with the sin problem that we have

  426. without redemption, without salvation,

  427. without justification AND PROPITIATION,

  428. WITHOUT THE SACRIFICE, WITHOUT THE blood

  429. of Jesus Christ, IT IS NOT possible for

  430. your case to be fixed.

  431. Say how is that? Well, it reminds you

  432. again, this is true. This image is true.

  433. This is the operation of the devil on

  434. the soul sick with sin. 1 Peter 5 and

  435. verse number 8, the Bible says, "Be

  436. sober, be vigilant because your

  437. adversary the devil walketh about as a

  438. roaring lion." Listen this, "seeking

  439. whom he may devour."

  440. Devour.

  441. He wants to destroy you. You say,

  442. "Preacher, I still don't get what that

  443. has to do with my sin." Well, let me

  444. give you this, all right? Sin truly is a

  445. flowing issue out of the heart of man.

  446. Sin's a fleshly issue. Wouldn't you

  447. agree with that?

  448. Sin's a faithless issue. You realize

  449. sin's got a 100% death rate?

  450. Bible says death passed upon all men

  451. because all have sinned.

  452. You say, "Preacher, what do you mean sin

  453. is a flowing issue?" Turn with me to

  454. Mark chapter 7. Put it in your margin.

    Mark 7 chapter mention

  455. Mark chapter 7,

    Mark 7 chapter mention

  456. verse number 21. Listen to this.

  457. Jesus said in verse number 20, the

  458. Pharisees were accusing his disciples of

  459. eating with unwashed hands.

  460. Listen to what he says. Verse 19,

  461. "Because it entereth not into the heart,

  462. but into the belly, and goeth out into

  463. the draught, purging all meats." And he

  464. said, "That which cometh out of the man,

  465. that defileth the man."

  466. "For from within, out of the heart of

  467. men," notice that, "proceed evil

  468. thoughts, adulteries, fornications,

  469. murders, thefts, covetousness,

  470. wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an

  471. evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.

  472. All these evil things come from within

  473. and defile

  474. the man.

  475. You say, "Preacher, what is that?" It's

  476. a flowing issue.

  477. Out of the abundance of the heart, the

  478. mouth speaketh. The life is lived out of

  479. the operation of the heart. It is the

  480. heart that gives our mind the choices to

  481. choose.

  482. And so, what we see in this text is is

  483. an expression that sin will truly take

  484. you farther than you want to go.

  485. >> [snorts]

  486. >> Sin will truly keep you longer than you

  487. want to stay.

  488. And in the case of this woman, what do

  489. we see? Sin will really cost you more

  490. than you ever thought you'd have to pay.

  491. You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying,

  492. friend, she in this text you say,

  493. "PREACHER, IS IT HER SIN?" NO, I'm

  494. saying THE IMAGERY OF HER ILLNESS IS THE

  495. THE FACT OF OUR SIN.

  496. THAT IT IS A FLOWING DISEASE. OUT OF THE

  497. HEART PROCEEDETH EVIL. It is a FLESHLY

  498. DISEASE. OUR FLESH IS UTTERLY DEPRAVED

  499. AND WICKED BEFORE GOD.

  500. And it is a fateful sin. You a fateful

  501. illness. I'll say this, you think about

  502. Satan's operation in the heart of a soul

  503. sick with sin, I think about Judas.

  504. Probably paints to us the best picture

  505. of this image here in the text. You see

  506. the Judas by the operation of Satan,

  507. according to Luke chapter number 22 and

  508. verse number three, Satan entered into

  509. the heart of Judas, the Bible says. He

  510. entered into his heart and out of

  511. Satan's operation within Judas, the

  512. betrayal that flowed out of Judas' lips.

  513. And after this, the outflow brought him

  514. physical destruction. Remember what

  515. happened? Satan used him just long

  516. enough to betray Jesus. And when Satan

  517. left him, you know what the Bible says?

  518. Judas repented himself. You know what he

  519. had? He was full of remorse. And that

  520. remorse caused him to commit suicide and

  521. bring him to his death. You realize what

  522. I'm trying to say to you this morning is

  523. this, this woman was about to die.

  524. Some of you here this morning, if you're

  525. lost, you're already dead.

  526. That's right. And you know what? If you

  527. live your life dead in your sins

  528. spiritually, you ultimately die your

  529. physical death to never live again.

  530. You say, "Preacher, but there'll be life

  531. in hell." No, friend, it'll be death

  532. what it'll be.

  533. It'll be the continual fact of death,

  534. but you're never able to completely die.

  535. You see, this condition has defiled this

  536. woman. It has defrauded this woman. It

  537. has detached her from society, and

  538. ultimately it would destroy her.

  539. That's what your sin will do this

  540. morning.

  541. It'll destroy you.

  542. IT WILL DEFILE YOU. IT WILL DEFRAUD YOU.

  543. IT WILL DETACH YOU, AND ULTIMATELY WILL

  544. DESTROY YOU BECAUSE SIN, WHEN IT'S

  545. FINISHED, BRINGETH FORTH DEATH.

  546. SO, we see her terrible condition

  547. this morning. I'm talking about the

  548. issue of blood.

  549. There's no co-it's no coincidence this

  550. morning that the Bible says without the

  551. shedding of blood there's no remission.

  552. Bible says if any man be in Christ, he's

  553. a new creature. You see, we've got to

  554. have his blood his blood put on our

  555. soul.

  556. So, we can be saved.

  557. Amen.

  558. I see this second of all this morning.

  559. I'm moving, all right? Stay with me. I

  560. see her terrible condition. Number two,

  561. I see her trusting commitment in verse

  562. 27 and 28. The Bible says when she had

  563. heard of Jesus, came in the press behind

  564. and touched his garment. For she said,

  565. "If I may touch but his clothes, I shall

  566. be whole." You see, this woman had heard

  567. of the Messiah. She'd heard of his

  568. miracles. She'd heard of the kind of man

  569. that he was. And when we think about

  570. this place in scripture by Mark chapter

  571. number five, according to the harmonies

  572. of the Gospels, this is about the 14th

  573. miracle that Jesus has completed in his

  574. ministry, about halfway through. 14

  575. different recorded miracles that we know

  576. of in the word of God. And so, there's

  577. so many more, I'm sure, that she's heard

  578. of at this point in time. But I want to

  579. say this, it's what she heard that

  580. touched her heart to come to him. You

  581. say, "How is that?" Well, notice the

  582. verse 27, when she had heard of Jesus.

  583. You know what that means?

  584. That literally means that when she had

  585. heard of the things pertaining to who

  586. Jesus is.

  587. You know what? There's

  588. the reality in my life and yours and

  589. many of us know who Jesus is.

  590. We've heard about him. We live in the

  591. Bible Belt. We've heard about him since

  592. he was little boy,

  593. little girl.

  594. But the truth is many of you don't know

  595. what Jesus does.

  596. You say, "Preacher, I know Jesus heals

  597. the blind. I know Jesus saves sinners. I

  598. know all of that."

  599. Well, the the thing is

  600. you've heard that,

  601. but you've never allowed it to affect

  602. you.

  603. You see this woman, the Bible says when

  604. she heard, notice it in the text. When

  605. she had heard of Jesus, what's that next

  606. word? came.

  607. She came. You see, it is what she heard

  608. that touched her heart.

  609. And the Bible as the Bible says, "Mine

  610. eye affected my heart." And her ear had

  611. affected her heart. And so out of this

  612. she knew that he was able, but she also

  613. knew he was willing. You say, "How do

  614. you know that, preacher?" Well, notice

  615. it again. She said, "If I may but touch

  616. his clothes, I shall be whole."

  617. You know what? She knew that

  618. he had what she needed.

  619. But she knew it wasn't just the fact

  620. that he had what she needed. She also

  621. knew that when she got there, he had

  622. what she needed, but he would give her

  623. what she needed.

  624. I'm convinced this morning as more than

  625. I've ever been that Jesus, he has

  626. exactly what I need.

  627. But I'm also convinced this morning that

  628. he'll give me

  629. what I need.

  630. Cuz he's the Messiah, but I want to say

  631. this, he's a man, amen. The Bible says

  632. he was he's tempted in all points such

  633. like as we are yet without sin. He's

  634. able to succor them that are tempted. He

  635. can identify with us.

  636. Y'all rejoice in that.

  637. He has what you need, but he is willing

  638. to give you

  639. what you need. You see

  640. You say preacher, what's the emphasis

  641. here? Well, you notice the condition's

  642. not on him. Notice it again, verse

  643. number 28. For she said, "If I may touch

  644. but his clothes."

  645. She said, "If I can just get to where he

  646. is."

  647. I'm not There's no if with him.

  648. Some of you you got a if with Jesus. You

  649. need to throw that out the window.

  650. The if's with you.

  651. Amen. Notice it again. You see it's his

  652. It's his clothing that she reached for.

  653. We know that there's no power in that

  654. clothing, but it was the act of faith

  655. that she expressed that connected her to

  656. him. She knew that his power was enough.

  657. And if she could just get to where he

  658. was, this may in the verse, VERSE 28,

  659. "IF I may touch but his clothes." This

  660. may shows the condition was on her. HE

  661. WOULD DO his part if she could get past

  662. the people to bring her problem to him.

  663. The reason some of you ain't never had

  664. any help in your whole life is cuz you

  665. can't get her past the press.

  666. Notice it in the verse.

  667. Verse number 27, she came in the press

  668. behind. That press, that great crowd.

  669. She didn't allow the people to stop her

  670. from getting Jesus.

  671. I thought about this. You notice here in

  672. her commitment to him, you know that she

  673. reaches out for him.

  674. And Jesus, evidently according in verse

  675. number 30, Jesus immediately knowing in

  676. himself that virtue had gone out of him.

  677. So, I don't believe that Jesus felt the

  678. physical touch. I mean, he knew that he

  679. touched her. He's God. Amen. But he What

  680. he felt was is that virtue, that power

  681. that exited him

  682. to work in her life.

  683. And I thought about this. You You think

  684. about this situation that she's in. Any

  685. other man would have turned away in

  686. disgust.

  687. Because his hand would have been

  688. defiled.

  689. You think about this. Leviticus chapter

    Leviticus 15 chapter mention

  690. 15 and verse number 19 says the man the

  691. woman that with this issue that touches

  692. a man, he'll be unclean to the evening.

  693. But you know what? Jesus was not

  694. affected by that.

  695. Amen. Because sin had no power over the

  696. savior.

  697. Amen, friend. You see this woman reached

  698. Jesus and as she did, he reached her in

  699. that very same moment. You say, "What

  700. are you saying, preacher?" Well, the

  701. image is like this. Their hands never

  702. touched, but I want to say this in the

  703. spiritual realm, her faith was reaching

  704. out for his power, amen? And in that

  705. very same moment, his presence reached

  706. her soul, amen? And it's like two hands

  707. come together, they connected and you

  708. know what happens? Look at the text. We

  709. see there, here in the text, her

  710. trusting commitment, but notice her

  711. timely cure in verse 29. And straightway

  712. Oh, yes, friend. Straightway, the

  713. fountain of her blood was dried up. I

  714. see in her timely cure, there's an

  715. immediate reality. Notice this.

  716. Straightway

  717. the fountain of her blood was dried up.

  718. You see, she was changed in a moment.

  719. You know that's what salvation does.

  720. In a moment. When you place your faith

  721. in him, you know what? In that very

  722. second

  723. changed.

  724. Different. A new creature in Christ

  725. Jesus. You say, "What is that?" That's

  726. new life. There's a new reality. You

  727. say, "What is that?" Well, where once

  728. you was dead in your trespasses and

  729. sins, you are now alive UNTO GOD AND

  730. SALVATION HAS REACHED you and CHANGED

  731. YOU. WHEN SHE TOUCHED HIM AND

  732. STRAIGHTWAY, immediately her reality was

  733. changed.

  734. Some of you, your reality's never been

  735. changed. You still got that flowing

  736. issue. You still got that fleshly issue

  737. in your life. You say, "Preacher, why do

  738. I need that?" Well, I notice in the

  739. verse, there's an immediate reality, but

  740. I'll say this, there was instant relief.

  741. Notice verse 29. Straightway, the

  742. fountain of her blood was dried up and

  743. she felt. Notice that.

  744. She felt.

  745. She felt something that for 12 years she

  746. wasn't able to feel.

  747. You say, "What is that, preacher?"

  748. Clean.

  749. If that don't help you, I ain't got else

  750. I can tell you this morning. I'm telling

  751. you friend this morning, there is

  752. nothing greater in this life on this

  753. side of eternity than being clean and

  754. right with God. There's a relief that

  755. comes over her because what she never

  756. was able to stop, what nobody else was

  757. ever able to fix, what nobody could help

  758. her with, immediately in a moment, one

  759. touch, one act of faith in the Lord

  760. Jesus Christ, and she had a change of

  761. reality, AND OUT OF THAT REALITY, THERE

  762. WAS INSTANT RELIEF. OH, does anybody

  763. remember the night that SHE BOWED ON

  764. THAT ALTAR AND ASKED JESUS CHRIST TO

  765. SAVE YOUR SOUL AND FORGIVE YOUR SINS?

  766. YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED? THAT REALITY

  767. CHANGED. AND WHEN THAT REALITY CHANGED,

  768. OH, DON'T YOU THANK GOD THAT THE BURDEN

  769. OF SIN WAS LIFTED? RELIEF CAME TO YOUR

  770. SOUL. HEY FRIEND, I DON'T ALWAYS FEEL

  771. SAVED, BUT I WANT TO TELL YOU THIS, IF I

  772. QUIT THINKING ABOUT THE FEELINGS AND

  773. JUST START THINKING ABOUT THE FACT THAT

  774. I AM SAVED, AMEN, YOU KNOW WHAT I FIND?

  775. THE FEELINGS START TO COME BACK. AMEN.

  776. I'M SAYING FRIEND, I'M SAVED, NOT

  777. BECAUSE OF ANYTHING THAT I'VE DONE, BUT

  778. JUST BECAUSE THE REALITY THAT HE'S

  779. BROUGHT INTO ME. I AM A NEW CREATURE,

  780. AND THANK GOD FOR THE RELIEF, AND IT IS

  781. INSTANT, AMEN.

  782. That burden OF SIN HAS BEEN LIFTED,

  783. AMEN, AND OUR SIN HAS BEEN CAST AS FAR

  784. AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST. IT IS NO

  785. MORE. THIS WOMAN GOT RELIEF THAT NOBODY

  786. ELSE COULD GIVE HER. I DON'T KNOW WHERE

  787. YOU'RE AT THIS MORNING, BUT LET ME SAY

  788. THIS, THIS LIFE IS TOO SHORT AND

  789. ETERNITY'S TOO LONG TO BEAR THE BURDEN

  790. OF sin alone.

  791. You can have relief this morning.

  792. You say, "What is it this morning?"

  793. Well, I want to say this, her immediate

  794. reality brought instant relief, but it

  795. was because of an individual remedy.

  796. Oh friend,

  797. notice it in the text,

  798. she felt in her body, notice this,

  799. that she was healed

  800. of that plague.

  801. She was healed.

  802. You see, there was and is only one

  803. remedy.

  804. This refutes the idea that there's many

  805. ways to heaven.

  806. Nobody's ever got any help outside of

  807. Jesus.

  808. Nobody's ever found any hope outside of

  809. Jesus. Nobody's ever found any hope

  810. friend Hallelujah. I'm saying nobody's

  811. ever found a shoulder that they can lean

  812. on continually. Nobody's ever found any

  813. peace. Nobody's ever found ANY ANY

  814. PROSPERITY OUTSIDE OF anybody or

  815. anything other than Jesus Christ AND HIS

  816. WORD. I'M SAYING JEREMIAH ASKED IT THIS

  817. WAY IN JEREMIAH 8 AND VERSE 22. HE SAID

  818. IS THERE NO BALM IN GILEAD? IS THERE NO

  819. PHYSICIAN THERE? YOU KNOW WHAT HE WAS

  820. SAYING? HE SAID THERE IS A BALM IN

  821. GILEAD. THERE IS A PHYSICIAN. THIS

  822. WOMAN, SHE MET THE BALM. SHE MET THE

  823. GREAT PHYSICIAN. AND IN THAT MOMENT ALL

  824. THE OTHER PHYSICIANS, ALL THE OTHER

  825. PROCEDURES, AND EVERYTHING THAT WAS IN

  826. HER PAST, IT FADED AWAY. IT WAS LEFT TO

  827. THE SIDE. WHY? BECAUSE SHE MET ONE WHO

  828. DID FOR HER IN A MOMENT WHAT NOBODY ELSE

  829. COULD DO IN HER WHOLE LIFE.

  830. I'M SAYING I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG YOU'VE

  831. LIVED BOUND TO SIN. I DON'T KNOW HOW

  832. LONG YOU'VE BEEN BURDENED, BUT I CAN

  833. TELL YOU THIS FOR A FACT THIS MORNING.

  834. IF YOU COME TO HIM, THANK GOD THERE IS A

  835. REMEDY FOR SIN. AMEN. AND HE WILL

  836. ADMINISTER IT TO YOUR SOUL. AMEN.

  837. OH YES FRIEND. I'm saying you don't get

  838. excited about it. Bless God I'll get

  839. excited about it. I'M SAYING FRIEND I'M

  840. SAVED. PRAISE GOD. I'LL NEVER SEE THE

  841. CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED. OH

  842. HALLELUJAH THIS MORNING. THANK GOD. GOD

  843. HAS MADE A DIFFERENCE AND THE REMEDY HAS

  844. COME to me. Amen.

  845. Oh yes friend. You see this woman made

  846. him that day. And the great physician

  847. he stepped in.

  848. He stepped in. I'm going to tell you

  849. this.

  850. He's able.

  851. Her timely cure.

  852. I'm thankful just like that old song

  853. says, when he's 4 days late, he's still

  854. right on time.

  855. Notice this and I'm done.

  856. We see her

  857. timely cure, but notice her testimony of

  858. Christ.

  859. Bible tells us that verse number 30

  860. Jesus immediately knowing in himself

  861. that virtue had gone out of him.

  862. Turned him about in the press and said,

  863. "Who touched my clothes?" You see

  864. Christ's awareness is seen in verse 30.

  865. Immediately knowing in himself. Now,

  866. it does not say that Jesus knew in his

  867. physical body that somebody had touched

  868. him. He felt a physical touch, but this

  869. was not a matter of physical for him.

  870. This was a spiritual thing. I want to

  871. say this, all right? There's a great

  872. argument in this day and time about

  873. whether Christ could sin or not.

  874. I'm going to say this to you this

  875. morning. It was impossible for Jesus to

  876. sin.

  877. If you need a theological discourse on

  878. that, you see me after the service and

  879. I'll

  880. play you some preachers that can tell

  881. you about it. Amen.

  882. But I want to tell you this this

  883. morning. When we look at this matter in

  884. this woman's life, what he did for her

  885. was a spiritual work.

  886. You say, "How is that?" Well,

  887. Bible talks about and I I don't want to

  888. get too deep into this, but the Bible

  889. talks about even those those who are

  890. saved. Talking about partaking of

  891. communion. We dealt with this several

  892. probably last year, I guess it was. We

  893. need to have communion again sometime.

  894. Amen. Whenever your preacher decides

  895. it's good. Amen. But

  896. but I dealt with this subject talking

  897. about those that take communion when

  898. they're not right with God. It says Paul

  899. literally said to the Corinthian church,

  900. he said, "Because that he said because

  901. of that there'll be many weak and sickly

  902. among you and some sleep." Death comes

  903. to them because of them taking of that

  904. unworthily. You say, "What does all that

  905. mean, preacher?" Well, it means simply

  906. this. Many times your sickness that's

  907. physical is a spiritual problem.

  908. >> Right.

  909. >> You say, "How is that?" Well, at the

  910. very least, the sickness came to you

  911. because of the death that's in your

  912. body.

  913. Bible says that death passed upon all

  914. men cuz all that all have sinned. And

  915. so, cancer and sickness and all of that

  916. comes as a spiritual issue.

  917. Spiritual death, you are dead. Amen. And

  918. that death in your life, your body is

  919. physically going to die. And so, that

  920. produces what that produces is is a

  921. sickness that's in you. And that

  922. sickness, the decay of our body, we all

  923. will one day die. But I think about this

  924. in this text. You see Christ's

  925. awareness, he was aware completely of

  926. the spiritual nature of this matter.

  927. Notice it again, verse 30. Jesus

  928. immediately knowing in himself, notice

  929. that word that virtue. That word virtue

  930. literally means power.

  931. Virtue had gone out of him.

  932. Turned him about in the press and said,

  933. "Who touched my clothes?" Now, notice

  934. the question he asked. He doesn't ask a

  935. spiritual question.

  936. He asked a physical question, doesn't

  937. he?

  938. Why does he do that? Because he knows

  939. they don't understand that.

  940. This is something you need to get a hold

  941. of this morning.

  942. With your physical illness, the troubles

  943. that you have in your flesh, there are

  944. spiritual matters behind that that

  945. you'll never understand on this side.

  946. All right? I got time to deal with all

  947. this. Jesus asked a physical question.

  948. Why does he do that? Notice first number

  949. 31 and verse 32. And he looked around

  950. about to see her that had done this

  951. thing. This is still physical. Now, I'm

  952. going to say this, Christ's awareness is

  953. seen in verse 30. He's aware of the

  954. spiritual. And he poses this question,

  955. all right? And it's a question on the

  956. front. This is a question that they

  957. hear, but in Jesus, what is this? This

  958. is more of an announcement. He knows

  959. exactly who touched him. He knows

  960. exactly what's just happened. So, you

  961. know what he's doing? He's asking a

  962. question so this woman can answer him,

  963. but all he's doing is announcing to the

  964. world

  965. she's been helped.

  966. I'm going somewhere, stay with me. He

  967. was giving her a chance to respond in

  968. faith again

  969. for her growth.

  970. You see out of his awareness, he makes

  971. this announcement, then he reveals his

  972. affection. Notice it again. He looked

  973. round about to see her. Now again, some

  974. writers say Jesus looked around like he

  975. was trying to find her.

  976. Jesus is God.

  977. He knew exactly where she was at.

  978. He didn't look trying to find her. He

  979. looked around He looked around so he

  980. could look at her.

  981. What love. Could you imagine that?

  982. Look notice it again. He looked around

  983. Notice this. Just notice the wording. He

  984. looked round about to see her.

  985. He looked at her intentionally. You know

  986. what that was? It was a look of love.

  987. It was a look of affection.

  988. You know what Jesus said Jesus in his

  989. heart, he was pleased. You know why

  990. that? Because she believed in him.

  991. And you know what? He got to bless her

  992. because she believed in him. And you

  993. know what? He looked at her with love.

  994. Notice it again in the text. Verse 33,

  995. but the woman fearing and trembling,

  996. knowing what was done to her, came and

  997. fell down before him and told him all

  998. the truth. You see, he looked around, he

  999. laid his eyes on her in compassion. We

1000. think about that little children song,

1001. the Father up above is looking down in

1002. love. And I thought about it in this

1003. text. God from heaven was looking down

1004. there to see this woman, but Jesus on

1005. the earth was looking at this woman

1006. before her. And she laid her eyes on him

1007. in the text. Her faith Oh, friend, are

1008. you with me this morning? I'm saying her

1009. faith, her belief in him HAD BECOME

1010. SIGHT IN HER. AMEN. SHE SAW THE MESSIAH.

1011. OH, HALLELUJAH THIS MORNING. SHE CAME TO

1012. HIM AND ALL YOU SAY IT SAYS she's

1013. fearing and trembling. YOU KNOW WHAT

1014. THAT WORD that phrase fearing and

1015. trembling means? It means reverential

  1016. awe.

1017. She was amazed. Yeah, she probably was

1018. weeping. Yeah, HER BODILY FRAME PROBABLY

1019. LOOKED LIKE SHE was afraid, but oh, in

1020. her heart, she knew something had been

1021. done FOR HER THAT NOBODY ELSE COULD HAVE

1022. EVER DONE. AND IN HER HEART, she beheld

1023. him. And when she came TO HIM, SHE

1024. DIDN'T ONLY BEHOLD HIM, BUT LISTEN TO

1025. WHAT SHE SAID. KNOWING WHAT was done in

1026. her, she came and fell down before him.

1027. Notice this, and told him all the truth.

1028. She came to him in awe. She was aware of

1029. what he had been what had been done in

1030. her and for her. She announces the story

1031. of her sickness before him and the

1032. salvation he has brought into her life.

1033. Notice that she told him all the truth.

1034. You know, we think about that. You know,

1035. we tell our kids, "Tell me the truth.

1036. Tell me the truth. Tell me the truth."

1037. That's not what this is.

1038. You see, Jesus knew the truth.

  1039. Doesn't Jesus always know?

1040. God knows what you're going through. He

1041. knows He knows all of that, okay? Why

1042. does she do this in this text? It's an

  1043. act of worship.

  1044. She told him all

1045. the truth. She may not have known what

1046. she was doing, but Jesus did.

1047. You say, "How is that?" Well, I want to

1048. say this, all right? Don't miss what I'm

1049. fixing to say. When the truth has been

  1050. put in your heart,

1051. and the truth is before your eyes, the

1052. truth is what will come out of your

  1053. mouth.

1054. You say, "What do you mean?" Well, she's

  1055. been changed, right?

1056. The word of God, the power of God has

  1057. worked within her.

1058. You know what happens? Jesus is standing

1059. before her. So, the truth is now in her.

1060. The truth is now before her. She's

1061. looking at him, and you know what she

1062. does? She has to respond in worship.

  1063. Lord, thank you.

1064. Lord, I praise you. You know the reason

1065. why we don't glorify Him? It's one of

1066. two things. Either He's not before us or

1067. His truth's not in us.

  1068. You listening?

1069. Some of you have never praised Him in

  1070. your life, it's because you've never

  1071. been saved.

1072. His truth is not in you.

  1073. All right?

1074. Some of you don't praise him anymore

1075. because his truth is not before you.

1076. He put it in you. He done a work for

  1077. you.

1078. You with me? He done a work before you,

1079. but somewhere along the way

1080. you're not looking at him anymore.

1081. But you know what? Jesus

1082. He done a work in her.

1083. And he said, "Who touched my clothes?"

1084. Not because he didn't know, but he just

1085. wanted her to give her a chance to see

1086. him. He didn't need to see her. Oh, but

1087. friend, she needed to see him. Amen. I'm

1088. saying, friend, when she turned around

1089. and looked at him, amen, that love in

1090. his heart for her began to overflow IN

1091. HER SOUL. YOU SAY, "PREACHER, WHY DO YOU

1092. SHOUT? WHY DO YOU TESTIFY? WHY DO YOU

1093. SCREAM AND HOLLER?" I DO THAT BECAUSE OF

1094. LOVE OF GOD IN MY SOUL. HE'S PUTTING IT

1095. IN ME AND IT'S BEFORE MY EYES. I'M

1096. SAYING THIS CONGREGATION THIS MORNING,

1097. IT'S THE MERCY OF GOD THAT YOU AND I ARE

1098. HERE THIS MORNING. IT'S THE GRACE OF GOD

1099. THAT WE GET TO BE TOGETHER. I'M SAYING,

1100. FRIEND, IF IT WERE NOT FOR HIS LOVE,

1101. WE'D ALL BE IN HELL THIS MORNING. OH,

1102. BUT BLESSED BE HIS NAME. HE ALLOWS US

1103. THE PRIVILEGE TO SEE HIM WHO'S

1104. INVISIBLE. AND WHEN WE SEE HIM, IT JUST

1105. MAKES US WANT TO LIFT HIM UP. IT JUST

1106. MAKES US WANT TO PRAISE HIM AND GLORIFY

1107. HIM BECAUSE OF WHAT HE'S DONE ON THE

  1108. INSIDE. AMEN.

1109. When the truth has been put in your

1110. heart and the truth is before your eyes,

1111. ultimately the truth in worship is what

1112. will come out of your mouth.

1113. I'm going to give you this and I'm done

  1114. this morning.

1115. Talking about the issue of blood.

  1116. There's a lot more

1117. to all this that we could talk about. A

1118. lot of verses, a lot of things. Like I

1119. said, you want to hear a good message,

1120. go online and listen to that. What I'm

1121. going to tell you this, all right?

1122. You see this woman, she needed help that

1123. was only attainable by faith. Let me say

  1124. this.

1125. You're not going to find help any other

  1126. help any other way.

1127. You're not going to find help because

1128. Bible says without faith it's

  1129. impossible.

1130. The only thing in your life that you

1131. cannot live without is faith.

1132. You say how is that? Well, faith is the

1133. key that unlocks your relationship with

  1134. Jesus.

1135. But you know what? When you get saved,

1136. when that door is unlocked, you know

1137. what? Faith is what keeps you in that

  1138. relationship with him.

1139. Faith is what keeps your fellowship. And

1140. so faith, she she needed help that's

1141. only attainable by faith. But I want to

1142. say this, it was only attainable by

1143. faith, it was only available in Christ.

1144. You can place your faith in anything.

1145. I'm going to tell you this, until you

1146. place it in Christ, the power is only

1147. going to be available to you in him and

  1148. him alone. That's it.

1149. The life that we are called to live is

1150. only possible by faith. And the life

1151. that we are called to live is only

  1152. empowered by Christ.

1153. You see this woman testified of her

1154. faith coming to him. I got to show you

  1155. this, all right?

1156. Open your Bibles back up, okay?

  1157. Mark chapter 5.

    Mark 5 chapter mention

1158. I got to show you this, all right? Lord

  1159. showed me this studying.

1160. I closed my Bible too early, too. It's

  1161. all right.

  1162. Notice verse 28.

1163. This was what the first thing This is

1164. what made me study this message, this

1165. truth right here by itself, verse 28.

1166. What's the first three words of verse

  1167. 28?

1168. For she said. You know what that is?

  1169. That's a record.

1170. Say, "What do you mean?" John Mark in

1171. this text recorded this. John Mark

1172. recorded this. For she said. Now, what

1173. is that part of? Well, it's a part of

1174. verse number 33 when it says she fell

1175. down before him and told him all the

  1176. truth.

1177. What was the statement of her faith? For

1178. she said, "If I may touch but his

1179. clothes, I shall be whole."

1180. You know what this means?

1181. When this woman in the end it says she's

1182. telling him all the truth.

  1183. Mark standing by listening.

1184. And she's standing there telling Jesus.

1185. She said, "Jesus, I know if I just touch

1186. your clothes. I don't even have to touch

1187. you. But I knew if I just touched your

  1188. clothes, I'd be whole."

1189. That's the record. Mark records that.

1190. You know what? Your faith is being

  1191. recorded.

1192. You say, "What do you mean?" Well, Mark

1193. wouldn't have recorded that if she

  1194. hadn't said it.

1195. God has a record of your faith in

1196. heaven, but let me say this, there's

1197. people keeping a record of your faith in

  1198. this life.

1199. Are you listening to me?

1200. I hope you're listening to me. Mark

1201. wouldn't have known that if she hadn't

  1202. said it.

1203. Some of you God's done stuff for you and

1204. you don't say nothing about it.

1205. Some of you God's done stuff for you and

1206. you used to talk about it. You don't

1207. talk about it no more.

1208. You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying

1209. you're saved by the grace of God.

1210. There's nothing else to talk about other

  1211. than that.

1212. Man, we won't talk about getting

1213. delivered from this sickness and

1214. delivered from that disease and cancer

1215. was healed and all that's fine and good,

1216. but friend, sin was far greater a

1217. sickness than any of that ever was.

1218. Are you listening to me? Amen. I'M

1219. SAYING SHE TESTIFIED AND THE RECORD WAS

1220. KEPT, AMEN, and she said, "If I may but

1221. touch HIS CLOTHES, I SHALL BE WHOLE."

1222. OH, FRIEND, I'M THANKFUL FOR THE RECORD.

1223. THERE'S SOME PEOPLE IN MY LIFE THAT KNOW

1224. I'VE TESTIFIED TO THEM THAT GOD HAS

1225. SAVED ME, THAT GOD HAS CALLED ME, THAT

1226. GOD HAS BLESSED ME, AND THERE'S A

1227. RECORD. THANK GOD HE'S KEEPING A RECORD,

1228. BUT THANK GOD THERE'S PEOPLE AROUND ME,

1229. AND I HOPE YOU PEOPLE THIS MORNING WILL

1230. KEEP A RECORD FOR THIS PREACHER. I CAN

  1231. PROMISE YOU I WOULDN'T HAVE NOTHING. I

  1232. WOULDN'T BE NOTHING. I'D BE A NOBODY

1233. GOING NOWHERE IF IT WASN'T FOR GOD IN MY

1234. LIFE. I'M SAYING THANK GOD FOR THE

1235. RECORD OF THE TESTIMONY of somebody

  1236. who's been changed.

1237. She testified of her faith coming to

1238. him. This is part of that truth, and we

1239. should speak of our faith in him. It's

1240. recorded of us just as it was recorded

1241. of her. And I want to say this, and I'm

  1242. done this morning.

1243. The press that was around her

  1244. did not stop her.

  1245. >> Right.

1246. >> Those people that she was surrounded by,

1247. listen to me, you young uns.

1248. The people that surround you,

1249. you cannot let them stop you.

  1250. >> Right.

1251. >> You say, "What do you mean?" I'm saying

1252. you cannot let them stop you from

  1253. getting to Jesus.

1254. The press around her did not stop her,

1255. and when she was healed, they all heard

  1256. it.

1257. You know what? Sometimes the

1258. hardest times it is to get to Jesus are

1259. the times he gets the most glory.

1260. You know what? When she came before him

  1261. and told him

1262. all the truth, the Bible says,

  1263. you know what happened?

  1264. All that press,

1265. all those disciples, all those people,

1266. they heard her testify what God had just

  1267. done in her.

1268. I'm going to say this.

1269. We must not allow the world to stop us

  1270. >> Right.

1271. >> from getting what we need from Christ.

1272. Because they also have to see the

  1273. difference made in us

1274. when we do get what we need from him.

1275. I want to say this to you this morning.

1276. I don't know what you need, but you

1277. cannot afford to let somebody keep you

  1278. from getting it.

1279. You say, "Preacher, what's that title

1280. mean?" Well, I want to say this. We have

1281. all got issues, all right?

  1282. Now,

1283. I made this an issue of your sin. If

1284. you're lost, you today you need to be

  1285. saved, all right?

1286. But what's the issue of blood in your

  1287. life?

  1288. What's the flowing issue? What's that

1289. fleshly issue? What's that faithful

1290. issue, that faithful problem you can't

1291. seem to get victory over?

1292. I want to say this.

  1293. Jesus

  1294. is passing by.

1295. You say, "Preacher, he's on his way.

1296. THERE'S PEOPLE GOT BIGGER PROBLEMS THAN

1297. ME." WELL, I WANT to say this. Jairus,

1298. he didn't stop Jesus, and there ain't

1299. nobody going to stop Jesus from helping

  1300. you.

1301. >> You know what? The only person that can

1302. stop Jesus from helping you is you.

1303. If you don't get help, it's cuz you

  1304. choose not to.

1305. I want to ask you this question today.

  1306. What's your issue?

1307. As we stand, every head's bowed and

  1308. every eye's closed.

  1309. What's your issue?

1310. You might be like this woman, your

  1311. condition is terrible.

1312. I don't know how bad it is.

1313. You might be like her, and only you and

  1314. God know.

1315. Her condition caused her embarrassment

  1316. daily.

1317. She felt as though she couldn't go

  1318. anywhere.

1319. There was no hope for her.

1320. She'd spent all that she had.

1321. She'd tried everything people had said

  1322. to try.

1323. Let me ask you, why don't you try Jesus?

  1324. You say, "Preacher,

  1325. >> [music]

  1326. >> preacher, I know that I've still got a

  1327. sin issue.

1328. Preacher, I need to be saved.

1329. Would you pray for me?"

1330. Anybody here today say, "Preacher, I I'm

1331. being honest, I need to be saved.

1332. [music] You pray for me." Just slip your

1333. hand up, we'll pray for you this

  1334. morning.

1335. Be honest with you and God. Preacher,

1336. would you pray for me? I need to be

  1337. saved.

  1338. >> [music]

1339. >> Slip your hand up. Just be honest. Slip

1340. your hand up and hold it.

  1341. Hold it high.

1342. Let me ask you this. You say, "Preacher,

  1343. I'm saved, but

1344. but I got an issue.

1345. Matter of fact, preacher, I got a lot of

  1346. issues."

  1347. God sees [music] that.

  1348. You see

1349. Jesus wants to deal with those things in

  1350. your life

1351. that nobody else knows about.

1352. Because it's those things that really

1353. keep [music] you from fellowship with

  1354. him.

1355. It's those things that you don't want

1356. anybody else to know about.

1357. It's those issues that defile you.

1358. They take your joy away. They defraud

  1359. you.

1360. That issue's ultimately going to destroy

1361. you. You say, "Preacher, I'm saved, but

1362. I I want to tell you this, if you allow

1363. that to continue to eat at you, it'll

  1364. take your life.

  1365. It'll take your life.

1366. You may be here this morning, you've got

  1367. and you've got a physical, you've got a

  1368. health problem this morning.

1369. You feel like you've done all that you

  1370. can

  1371. to find help. [music]

1372. I want to say this this morning, Meadows

1373. Baptist Church and this pastor is not a

  1374. prosperity gospel preacher.

  1375. I don't believe that if you

1376. stay right with God that you're going to

1377. have perfect health and you're going to

  1378. have

  1379. >> [music]

1380. >> plenty of wealth and

1381. all of that. I don't believe that for a

  1382. minute.

1383. I'll tell you what I do believe.

1384. I do believe we can trust an unknown

  1385. future

  1386. >> [music]

  1387. >> to a known savior.

1388. And your life can be placed in his hands

  1389. this morning.

1390. And maybe he's waiting on you to do

  1391. that.

1392. Maybe that sickness that you've got,

1393. maybe maybe you are hanging on to

1394. everything [music] you can keep your

1395. hands on. I I don't know what you need

  1396. this morning.

1397. But maybe he's just waiting for you.

  1398. He's passing by.

1399. Won't you just reach out and touch him?

1400. You say, "Preacher, what is that?"

  1401. That's faith.

  1402. Trusting him.

1403. You say, "Preacher, doctor said there's

  1404. hope.

1405. The great physician's passing by.

1406. And we believe he's able.

1407. But do you believe he's able?

1408. Father, I pray in Jesus' name.

1409. Lord, would you help us this morning?

1410. God, to embrace the truth.

1411. Lord, that many times the

1412. matters of our life, Lord, we we think

1413. about physical health, and Lord, I I

1414. know this morning that people [music]

1415. that go through health crisis, Lord, I

  1416. know that that's not

1417. that's not necessarily because of some

1418. some sin that they've committed.

  1419. But Lord, that

  1420. suffering that they're experiencing,

1421. Lord, can do one or two things for them.

1422. Because it is [music] spiritual.

1423. It can either drive them away from you

1424. into a realm, Lord, of

1425. controlled by the spirit world.

1426. Lord, to try to answer the problems with

1427. pills and injections, and Lord, we know

1428. I'm not I'm not against all of that.

  1429. Lord, I believe that

1430. there [snorts] is help for that.

1431. But Lord, many times I think we turn too

  1432. soon

1433. to the answers of the world, and when we

1434. should just turn to you.

1435. And Lord, I pray, God, that you would

  1436. help people here today

1437. Lord, to to place their trust in you

  1438. first and foremost.

1439. God, do not let their problem not let

1440. their issue take them away, but God, to

1441. allow you to control their gaze.

1442. Lord, I pray, Father, for that one here

  1443. today that's got a spiritual issue,

1444. Lord, and it's flowing out of their

  1445. life, and

  1446. >> [music]

1447. >> Lord, if they're not careful, Lord,

1448. those around them are going to begin to

1449. see. Lord, I pray they deal with that on

1450. this altar. Lord, if they haven't

  1451. already, I pray they'd come now

1452. and get that right with you.

1453. And Lord, I pray for that in here today

1454. that's lost. God, no doubt in the crowd

1455. this size somebody here today is not

  1456. saved.
