  1. be better, safer, just to make it happen

  2. right in our homes, right where we are.

  3. And so, I just wanted to jump on and

  4. just give a 5, 10 minute, 12 minute

  5. maybe uh sermon this morning, just a

  6. devotion to share about being plugged

  7. into what Jesus has. There's nothing

  8. quite like it. And so, I pray you feel

  9. his presence even through this this

  10. morning. Uh, I encourage you then when

  11. we are done, get a song, spend some time

  12. with Jesus. Turn something on. Just sit

  13. with him. Get your Bible out. Let him

  14. speak to you specifically this Sunday

  15. morning. You're not driving here and not

  16. doing those normal things. So, take some

  17. of that time to just get in the presence

  18. of Jesus. But this morning, I just want

  19. to take a few moments and talk to you

  20. about something that I am all of a

  21. sudden really, really quickly passionate

  22. about. Now, we have dogs. And our dogs,

  23. they're wonderful, but they're both full

  24. size or one's med a medium size, one's a

  25. bit larger, and they need water all the

  26. time. So, we used to have this awesome

  27. uh little thing. You filled a three

  28. gallon jug of water, you flipped it

  29. upside down, and it would keep the water

  30. bowl full for maybe a week, maybe a

  31. little more, a little less, depending

  32. how much they were drinking. And it was

  33. great. But then it broke. And all of a

  34. sudden, no longer was that good enough.

  35. It wasn't working. It wasn't making it

  36. happen. And so if you can believe it,

  37. for the last little period of time,

  38. we've tried to keep a little bowl full.

  39. Uh I'm just going to be real. Sometimes

  40. it didn't happen. In fact, later uh in

  41. the the uh summer kind of I guess that

  42. means it's been several months since

  43. we've had this. But we would fill a like

  44. a 50 gallon a 30 gallon bin with water

  45. so the dogs could get water. Be sure

  46. they always had it cuz we didn't want

  47. them to run out. If we're going to be

  48. gone or outside, we we we do this thing.

  49. But inside like we have to figure out

  50. what are we going to do? So we came

  51. across when I was looking to buy that

  52. same thing that we had before something

  53. called the always full. And this always

  54. full I think it's going to be

  55. life-changing for us as a family.

  56. Definitely Jordan, he's the one that

  57. normally would get the water. It's

  58. definitely life-changing for him. But

  59. the always full is a thing that plugs

  60. into the water source of your house and

  61. it keeps the water full, right? The

  62. always full in the bowl all the time.

  63. And there's something as I was thinking

  64. as actually I was installing it. I was

  65. actually sitting on a 40 pack of water

  66. from Costco and not the most comfortable

  67. thing, but I wanted to see it in action.

  68. Got my dogs came to to drink some water

  69. to to spend some time there. And all of

  70. a sudden, I'm there. I'm like, "Okay,

  71. what is this going to look like?" And it

  72. worked. It filled the bowl. It kept it

  73. kept it in a good spot. Kept it in a

  74. place where the dogs would be able to

  75. drink. Now we're literally 48 hours, I

  76. guess, Sunday. Uh we're about 36. uh

  77. maybe a little bit or 48 a little more

  78. than that 72 maybe now uh whatever

  79. direction time goes but it's been full

  80. it's been clean it's been as it should

  81. be when I'm thinking about this always

  82. full not in dogs and whatever that's

  83. that's great but our spiritual walk are

  84. we connected to the source Colossians

    Colossians 2:6

  85. 2:6 and 7 says therefore as you receive

  86. Christ Jesus the Lord so walk in him

  87. rooted and built up him and established

  88. in the faith just as you were taught

  89. abounding in thanksgiving. Right? Paul's

  90. picture here is not a one-time moment.

  91. It's ongoing. It is uh a connection that

  92. continues and keeps us moving forward.

  93. We're to be rooted. We're to be built

  94. up. We're to be established. We're to be

  95. abounding in the things of God.

  96. And this always full thought of our life

  97. of what we get to do when it comes to

  98. maybe the spiritual things of life are

  99. important. And maybe some things this

  100. morning we could look at that. I think

  101. the always full for my animals really

  102. made me think, Jesus, am I doing that?

  103. First abiding in Christ keeps us full.

  104. This water bowl literally connects to

  105. the water lines of the house. It's

  106. always on and it's just waiting for

  107. something to be consumed. And as it's

  108. consumed, it refills it and puts it into

  109. a good place. Psalm 11 1-3 says it this

  110. way. He's like a tree planted by streams

  111. of water that yields its fruit in its

  112. season and its leaf does not wither. Why

  113. doesn't it wither? It's by the stream.

  114. It's ready. It's connected to the water.

  115. And therefore, it is going to be ready.

  116. It's been planted. It's been connected.

  117. It has water. It has flow. And there's

  118. something important when we walk in

  119. Jesus. Not just receive sometimes, but

  120. to be filled with the power of God on a

  121. consistent basis. Abiding is staying

  122. near the stream. Abiding is connecting.

  123. Abiding is being with Jesus all the

  124. time. Another thought is uh abiding in

  125. Christ. It flushes out all the junk. And

  126. now I just have to show you real fast

  127. this super cool thing, right? The always

  128. full. You've got it right here connects.

  129. There's the water line. All of those

  130. things that are happening. But there's

  131. this special thing in the bottom.

  132. There's a hole where it goes down to a

  133. basket. And every hour they always full

  134. literally like a toilet. The water goes

  135. down into the bottom, collects the junk

  136. so that the dogs don't have to drink

  137. their saliva and don't have to have hair

  138. and don't have to have all the things

  139. and the dog food for some reason. They

  140. always like to put in their bowl. It

  141. flushes out the junk. And when we are

  142. abiding in Jesus, when we're connected

  143. to the source, when we are not just

  144. coming every once in a while or coming

  145. to a service or coming to a moment, in

  146. fact, when we miss a Sunday morning and

  147. we're not together as the family, I hate

  148. it. I'm the pastor. I I want to be

  149. together, but my spiritual life doesn't

  150. take a hit because we're abiding in

  151. Jesus. The word of God is powerful and

  152. we're in the word. The dirt, the debris,

  153. the sin, the junk, the things people

  154. have said, they are given to the Lord.

  155. And we can experience his power when we

  156. abide in Jesus. The junk is fleshed out.

  157. Romans 12:1 says, "Let us lay aside

    Romans 12:1

  158. every weight and sin which clings so

  159. closely." And just like this always full

  160. God wants to move in us that yeah, we

  161. mess up. Yeah, we get some slobber in

  162. the bowl. Yeah, man. There's some dog

  163. food and that stuff just gets

  164. disgusting.

  165. But he's there and he welcomes us and he

  166. gets to move in our life and we're not

  167. walking in some place where we're just

  168. drinking the same nasty stuff all the

  169. time. No, because we're kept full and

  170. the junk has been flush,

  171. fresh flow. It creates clean space. It's

  172. It creates a place to continue in the

  173. Lord, to walk in the Lord, to be

  174. empowered by the Lord, to let his

  175. goodness and his life overflow us.

  176. Thankfully, the bowl doesn't overflow.

  177. But in us, his goodness overflows and

  178. takes out all the things that should not

  179. be. You know, when you think about being

  180. full, when I think about being in a

  181. place where the the spirit is moving and

  182. the junk is gone, what's that mean? It

  183. means I'm going to be spiritually

  184. healthy. Abiding in Christ keeps us

  185. healthy

  186. because this bowl stays filled with

  187. water, because it stays clean. because

  188. it stays right. My dogs, they're loving

  189. it just through what 72 hours or so, but

  190. they're going to love it. And even not

  191. even necessarily no, but more healthy.

  192. It's better. It's better for them when

  193. we stay connected to the Lord and we get

  194. the junk out and we stay connected

  195. because we're abiding in Jesus. We're

  196. connected through the word and through

  197. his spirit. And it's not even only my

  198. prayer time, but no, all day long I'm

  199. abiding. All day long, I'm asking him,

  200. Lord, how do you want to move? All day

  201. long, Jesus, you do something in my

  202. life. And you know it's uh interesting

  203. on this always full there's this page

  204. that has all these lights and tells you

  205. when they're blinking this this is it.

  206. It's healthy. It's not healthy. And you

  207. know what I found in my life that when

  208. I'm abiding in the Lord all of a sudden

  209. there's things there's lights warning

  210. lights. I feel it. I experience the Lord

  211. speaking and guiding. I I feel him

  212. sharing something. I feel him just

  213. showing me that's not right or you're

  214. not plugged in or you didn't get with

  215. me. But the longer I stay unconnected or

  216. farther from disconnected from him, I

  217. don't even realize. I don't realize the

  218. things that I'm let in. I don't realize

  219. the things that I'm not able to let the

  220. Lord take when it comes to what people

  221. say or do or the problems, the the

  222. stresses of life. I'm not able to stay

  223. healthy because I'm not abiding in

  224. Jesus. I'm not in the word. I'm not in

  225. prayer. I'm not giving him my life. When

  226. the problem at work arises, I'm not

  227. asking him, Lord, what would you have me

  228. do? And I would ask you today, are you

  229. abiding in Jesus? Are you staying full

  230. because you're connected to the water

  231. source? Is the junk getting removed

  232. because you don't just do it yourself,

  233. but he's getting rid of it. Flesh in the

  234. bad. Flesh in the things we shouldn't

  235. do. And are we letting him keep us

  236. healthy because we're staying true?

  237. Isaiah 58:11 says, "And the Lord will

    Isaiah 58:11

  238. guide you continually and satisfy your

  239. desire in scorched places and make your

  240. bones strong." Do you do you see that?

  241. He will satisfy continually. He'll make

  242. your bones strong. Even when it's crazy,

  243. even when things are going wild around

  244. us,

  245. that's what it's like when we stay

  246. connected to Jesus. Our faith becomes

  247. steadier. Our reactions become slower

  248. and more thoughtful. Anybody Anybody

  249. need that? Our joy becomes deeper and

  250. less dependent on circumstances.

  251. We're not perfect, but we're healthy in

  252. the Lord. Connected life produces a

  253. resil resilient faith. And I pray that

  254. we would be a church that we are

  255. connected to the vine. That we're always

  256. full in the Lord. That we've let the

  257. power of God do something in our life.

  258. And we are always ready. And the spirit

  259. is there. And we're always full in him.

  260. We're always full because we're

  261. connected to the source. The only one

  262. that can give us strength. Not more

  263. striving, not more religious pressure,

  264. not what we do, but deeper connection

  265. with the father. Colossians 2:7. Rooted

    Colossians 2:7

  266. and built up in him. When we stay

  267. connected, there's fresh gears. It keeps

  268. on flowing. Old burdens are pushed out

  269. and spiritual health begins to grow. And

  270. I want to encourage you, radiant life.

  271. Let's go after Jesus. This snowy, this

  272. cold, cold morning. Stay warm. Let us

  273. know if you need anything. But most

  274. importantly, don't get out of the flow

  275. of what God is doing. And be connected

  276. to him. And if you have any need in your

  277. life, I encourage you just to give it to

  278. him. Offer it to him. I want to pray

  279. over you this morning. So Lord, I pray

  280. you would bless your church. Lord,

  281. guide, direct, be with Lord. We are

  282. thankful for how amazing you are. And

  283. Lord, we would pray right now that every

  284. person, every person that would hear

  285. this, that they'll be impacted by your

  286. word. And Lord, let us abide in you and

  287. stay connected to the source. We're

  288. thankful that we can always be full. We

  289. can always be full because of you and

  290. your word and your spirit being

  291. activated in our life.

  292. We love you. We thank you, Jesus. You

  293. are so good. In your name we pray. Amen.

  294. Well, Radiant Life, as I mentioned at

  295. the beginning, I encourage you turn on

  296. some music. Go to YouTube, uh, Spotify,

  297. Apple Music, whatever it is. Go and let

  298. let some godly moments happen right

  299. where you are. Spend time and we put it

  300. together in this way and our song. No,

  301. you with the Lord abide in him. You with

  302. the Lord, take some moments. you with

  303. the Lord, spend in his presence. I also

  304. just want to encourage you as we uh head

  305. towards the close of this that go to

  306. radiant.family, check out the events

  307. that are happening next Sunday, water

  308. baptisms, uh we're going to be

  309. dedicating babies and if you have a

  310. child that has not been dedicated to the

  311. Lord, you want to be baptized, one of

  312. your kids that's, you know, eightish or

  313. older, you may be middle age, older in

  314. life, it doesn't matter. You want to be

  315. baptized to tell the world that you've

  316. given your heart to Jesus. I encourage

  317. you this next Sunday. It's going to be a

  318. powerful day. Do not miss it February

  319. 1st. And uh be sure to look women's

  320. event coming up, all of the exciting

  321. things that are happening. Get on

  322. radiant. Family or your church center

  323. app, take a look. Also, thank you for

  324. continuing to give even when it's a snow

  325. day to support what God is doing. And we

  326. believe and I pray all the time that God

  327. will bless you as we cheerfully give

  328. unto the Lord. And last thing this

  329. morning, I just want to say I love you,

  330. Raen Life. So thankful for you. And of

  331. course, uh, may not be Sunday morning in

  332. the sanctuary, but it's Sunday morning

  333. and we're closing our service today. And

  334. so, I just want to say, be careful what

  335. you watch, be careful what you listen

  336. to, be careful what you talk about.

  337. Savor the presence of Jesus. Have a

  338. great day. God bless.
