  1. Well, this morning I am pumped because

  2. we are going to be finishing uh fun.

  3. I've had just a great time the last uh

  4. almost two months or a month and a half

  5. going through the book of Nehemiah. And

  6. uh just thankful uh for all that we've

  7. got to see and and learn and experience.

  8. And there's something about jumping in

  9. and kind of walking a journey through a

  10. book that is really eyeopening. Here in

  11. Nehemiah, we got to experience and see

  12. that the children of Israel, they were

  13. in exile. They had been gone for 150

  14. years. They had missed out really on

  15. what God had for them because they had

  16. gone against what his word had said and

  17. they were exiled into a place that well

  18. they didn't want to be of course but the

  19. walls of Jerusalem had been torn down.

  20. And because Nehemiah heard a voice from

  21. the Lord, heard a call from the Lord, a

  22. vision from the Lord, they began to

  23. believe and he led the charge to rebuild

  24. the walls of Jerusalem. The crazy thing

  25. to me about this whole deal is after 150

  26. years, in 52 days, they were able to

  27. rebuild the walls because the hand of

  28. God was upon them. 52 days. God can do

  29. things way quicker and way be bigger and

  30. better than we could imagine. But the

  31. people didn't stop there. where they

  32. then gave themselves to the Lord,

  33. offered him uh their whole life, their

  34. whole being, everything that they were

  35. about and began to dedicate different

  36. areas and and give sin and give things

  37. in their life that shouldn't be uh

  38. straight to the Lord.

  39. There's something about that

  40. realization. God move, but we talked

  41. about that's the end isn't the end. It's

  42. the beginning. The the finish line there

  43. there isn't. We keep going and we keep

  44. pressing on. Last week we then saw the

  45. people that once they had experienced

  46. all of this they came and dedicated

  47. their finances their resources said

  48. we're going to bring 10% we're going to

  49. bring the first fruits our children

  50. literally through all the other areas

  51. and all the other things they said Lord

  52. we're going to offer those back the

  53. first fruits and we talk about so often

  54. here at Radiant Life the tithe and the

  55. first fruits and we put them together

  56. and say Lord everything within us our

  57. time our talent but our treasure our

  58. finances Lord we bring those things to

  59. you and when we get here to Nehemiah 12.

  60. It's party time. They're celebrating.

  61. They're lifting up the name of Jesus.

  62. But before we dive into Nehemiah 12, I

  63. was just thinking like what is it that

  64. we as a church family, what is it that

  65. we should be uh maybe or what have we

  66. done? What's exciting maybe in your

  67. life? What's something that you've done

  68. that was a huge step of faith that you

  69. you had to make a step? Now, I was

  70. thinking about it. Uh, Pastor Rachel,

  71. she's sitting up here on the first row.

  72. And I'm pretty sure uh her first year of

  73. college, which was my last year of

  74. college, she walked into our main uh our

  75. sanctuary, our chapel. And when I saw

  76. her, I said, "That's who I'm going to

  77. marry." And so about a month later, we

  78. were dating. About four months later, I

  79. had asked her dad. And then we became

  80. engaged. And then eight months after

  81. meeting the first time, we were married.

  82. And I was like, "Here we go, Ra. Let's

  83. go back to Columbus, Ohio. you don't

  84. know anybody. It'll be fun. Let's just

  85. do it. My church, like all the things of

  86. my life. And she was like, I'm in. I'll

  87. do it. I'm a part, right? It was a great

  88. uh thing, right? No faith at all

  89. involved. And here we go. We barely know

  90. each other, but we're committed to each

  91. other. We're going to live our lives.

  92. We're going to do this thing, and we're

  93. going to do it together. That was a that

  94. was probably a big step of faith. I

  95. think somewhat my parents might have

  96. been like, "You sure? This is pretty

  97. quick." But they just let me do my thing

  98. and gave little guidance if needed. And

  99. here we are 20 plus years later and five

  100. kids and somehow our oldest is about to

  101. go back to the same city where we met uh

  102. to Evangel University uh here in the

  103. fall. It's like what? God moves.

  104. Maybe a step of faith in your life.

  105. Something that you'd say, man, if we

  106. could have a testimony. I'm sure we

  107. could have a testimony line here. I took

  108. this crazy step and I left my job that

  109. was wellpaying and I did my own thing. I

  110. started my own company. Woo. That would

  111. be a big deal. Maybe some of you a step

  112. of faith was the opposite and you had an

  113. opportunity to kind of rise in a

  114. company, but you felt God telling you,

  115. "No, you need to stay in the role that

  116. you're in." And you took a step of faith

  117. the opposite direction, but it was a God

  118. thing, a God moment. And what would have

  119. happened if you would have done what you

  120. wanted rather than what God wanted?

  121. Maybe when you first bought a house, I

  122. don't know about anybody else, but

  123. that's a pretty big moment. And you sign

  124. on the dotted line. and you're like,

  125. "Lord Jesus, please let me be able to

  126. pay off these loans, these payments, uh

  127. you know, all of the things." And then

  128. when the the basement flooded the first

  129. time, when the fridge died, when the air

  130. conditioner unit, and you realize, "Oh,

  131. yeah, there's not a landlord to pay for

  132. that anymore. Not only do I pay for it,

  133. but now I have to pay for all the stuff,

  134. right, Lord Jesus?" Those are steps of

  135. faith.

  136. Maybe in your life there's a specific

  137. one that jumps out at you. But the

  138. people of Israel, the people returning

  139. to Jerusalem, the people saying, "Yeah,

  140. the walls are built, but now we've got

  141. life to live." It was a massive deal, a

  142. massive step into what God had. But we

  143. see in Nehemiah 12 that they went to

  144. dedicate the wall. And when they did, it

  145. was party time before the Lord. In fact,

  146. Nehemiah 12:27 begins and it says, "And

    Nehemiah 12:27

  147. at the dedication of the wall of

  148. Jerusalem, they sought the Levites in

  149. all their places to bring them to

  150. Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication

  151. with gladness, with thanksgiving, and

  152. with singing, with symbols, harps, and

  153. liars. And the sons of the singers

  154. gathered together from the districts

  155. surrounding Jerusalem and from the

  156. villages, right? They they came together

  157. for the singers had built for themselves

  158. villages around Jerusalem. and the

  159. priests and the Levites purified

  160. themselves and they purified the people

  161. and the gates and the wall. They came

  162. together because of the greatness of

  163. God. Anything was possible. But not only

  164. was it possible, they wanted to dedicate

  165. for the future. They wanted to dedicate

  166. for what was coming still in their life

  167. and in their situation. In fact, there

  168. were two groups of people that that we

  169. read about that were sent that were a

  170. part of this awesome uh choir that was

  171. sent to praise and to sing and to

  172. worship God all the way around

  173. Jerusalem. Two leaders were there and if

  174. you can imagine they went to the exit

  175. and they said, "Okay, we're going to

  176. pray." And some people went to the

  177. right, the south, and to the east along

  178. the wall. They were passing gates and

  179. singing and worshiping. And the other

  180. group was led and they went instead of

  181. south, they went north and they went

  182. west and they began to make their way

  183. around the city. maybe two miles of this

  184. wall that had been rebuilt right in that

  185. ra range and they were worshiping and

  186. praising every gate every moment saying

  187. Jesus God for them right God move God

  188. you're great God you did this God you

  189. are the miracle worker God you brought

  190. us back to our homes you brought us back

  191. into blessing you brought us back they

  192. were able to praise and worship in verse

  193. 43 it says and they offered great

  194. sacrifices that day and rejoiced For God

  195. had made them rejoice with great joy.

  196. The women and children also rejoiced in

  197. the joy of Jerusalem was heard far away.

  198. The people celebrated the power of their

  199. God of what he had done. And in a way of

  200. dedicating, as the rest of the chapter

  201. would show, they continued to give

  202. service to the temple. They began and

  203. continued to make reforms to be the

  204. people of God that they were called to

  205. be.

  206. When I think about this, there's a few

  207. things I just want us to point to uh

  208. today. And first is that we have to

  209. throw a party before you see the

  210. promise. I think sometimes we realize

  211. God has moved. There's things that have

  212. happened. He's begun a work. Maybe the

  213. walls are rebuilt. But did you know just

  214. being there with the walls that wasn't

  215. the promise? The promise that he would

  216. walk with them. The promise is that he

  217. would be with them. The promise that he

  218. wasn't leaving and that he was going to

  219. be there and protect and take care of

  220. them. And the walls were a sign. They

  221. were a representation to the people, but

  222. God wasn't going anywhere. And they

  223. began and they they threw a party before

  224. they saw the promise. And this morning,

  225. I want to invite our ushers uh to come.

  226. And they've got some uh pieces of paper.

  227. If you didn't get one of these and you

  228. didn't get one of the half sheet papers

  229. today, I encourage you if you would uh

  230. raise your hand up as the ushers come

  231. through the aisles and they give you one

  232. of each of these. Be sure you have one

  233. of each. But the one that says 2025 on

  234. it, I just want to take a few minutes

  235. and celebrate the things that God has

  236. done. There's powerful things, the power

  237. of God. We can look on this sheet of

  238. paper and we see our RADF fam, what's

  239. happened here at Radiant Life Church

  240. local, our partners in our community in

  241. the Columbus and surrounding areas, our

  242. global partners. We could see a team

  243. that went from here and built a church

  244. building, built a parsonage to help a a

  245. new village in Tanzania in the Yata

  246. Valley receive the message of Jesus, the

  247. love of Jesus, the power of God. We got

  248. to build and and be a part of equipping

  249. leaders in Asia. We got to reach the

  250. unreachable. uh helped launch the first

  251. ever which is amazing but those that are

  252. going into one of the Koreas and

  253. experiencing God in a place that we

  254. could not go but there's people that are

  255. going to share the message of Jesus

  256. strengthen global workers and providing

  257. equipment for King's Castle where we

  258. sent a team in South America like God is

  259. moving wherever it is and I want you to

  260. know we have 76 missionaries that we got

  261. to support last year or organizations to

  262. share the love of Jesus all around the

  263. world. Pastor Matt and Katherine,

  264. they're going to be our 77th

  265. missionaries. In May, they begin the

  266. itineration process to go to Southeast

  267. Asia for the power of God to use them.

  268. We get to support and we've got to this

  269. last year and there's something to

  270. celebrate. You know, it didn't only stop

  271. in our world, but it's went on to local.

  272. We got to support Revive Church 20

  273. minutes from here with the power and the

  274. love of God. We got to bring hope

  275. through backpack giveaways, through

  276. Christmas outreaches, through food,

  277. through clothes. In fact, this morning

  278. people said, "Where do we put the

  279. clothes?" I bet last year we took a

  280. hundred bags of clothes somewhere in

  281. that range to revive church, to see them

  282. be able to do ministry and show love and

  283. support on the hilltop. We got to see

  284. two new churches that were planted here

  285. in the Columbus area that were sent from

  286. Radiant Life Church. We got to uh do

  287. events for our network, for the

  288. Assemblies of God as we say, "Thank you,

  289. Jesus, for all that you're doing and

  290. host these things in the facilities that

  291. he gave us." We got to partner with

  292. Royal Family Kids Camp, with Ohio State

  293. University, with uh with uh Victory

  294. Ministries, with International

  295. Friendships. We got to partner with

  296. those in our own community and city. And

  297. I'm so thankful and we've celebrated

  298. maybe a time or two, but soccer, we

  299. finally are allowed the hard work of

  300. getting the approvals that in March,

  301. less than a month, we're going to have

  302. Dublin Soccer Club kids out in our

  303. fields and there's going to be fields

  304. going in and goals going in and they're

  305. going to be here a new group that we get

  306. to pour the love of Jesus into.

  307. Something exciting. There's exciting

  308. things locally. There's exciting things

  309. right here in the Rad fam. We got to

  310. send 60 kids to camp. Somebody 60 kids

  311. that got to experience the life uh the

  312. the power of Jesus in services. They got

  313. to play together. Build them up

  314. together. And I want to encourage if you

  315. have kids, get them to summer camp.

  316. Whatever they're doing in school, it's

  317. not important. Get them to summer camp.

  318. It's lifech changing, lifealtering. In

  319. fact, this church, we get to be a part

  320. of making it happen. We run one of those

  321. camps. Week three of youth camp. It's

  322. amazing. We send leaders to kids camp.

  323. Something powerful about our kids

  324. experiencing the power of Jesus. This

  325. year, we upgraded signage throughout the

  326. building, including our yellow signs

  327. outside drawing attention. We got to

  328. send four missions teams around the

  329. world. We got to create a new engagement

  330. pathway, an open house hopefully. And

  331. we've been seeing more people get

  332. connected into the life of who we are.

  333. We're believing God. We're just

  334. starting. But local right here in the

  335. Radfam, our local ministries, our global

  336. partners, church, we get to celebrate

  337. over a hundred that they gave their

  338. lives to Jesus. We get to celebrate an

  339. average attendance of 400, but 300 of

  340. those who have said, "Hey, I'm going to

  341. be a part of disciplehip." And have come

  342. and made it habit to be involved in

  343. disciplehip. There's something about the

  344. power of God and what he has done. In

  345. fact, can we just give just a a couple

  346. of seconds of praise to God for 2025 for

  347. what he did? He's amazing. Thank you,

  348. Lord. Thank you, Lord. And I'm not going

  349. to make us do our old school thing, Mom

  350. and Dad. Jericho marching around the

  351. room today. I think that would change it

  352. up a little bit. Maybe you know what I'm

  353. talking about. Maybe you don't. But we

  354. used to march around when I was a kid. I

  355. don't know if we've gotten too civilized

  356. or I'm not sure what, good or bad. But

  357. I'm not going to make us do that. But

  358. God is good and he is moving and we have

  359. to throw a party even before we see all

  360. of the things he's going to do. Give him

  361. glory for what he has done and we

  362. position oursel for Lord Jesus. Keep

  363. doing it. Keep moving. Keep pouring your

  364. spirit out. A part of that for them was

  365. was dedication. It was dedicating it

  366. before they dominated it before what's

  367. coming. And when I think of 2026 and I

  368. think of the next year, there's a whole

  369. bunch of things that we're saying, Lord,

  370. whatever you have, whatever your glory

  371. or whatever brings glory to your name,

  372. we want to be a part of it. And I'm not

  373. going to go through all of them, but you

  374. can read them. Building secondary

  375. school, high school in Tanzania, which

  376. is exciting because the schools that

  377. we've been a part of building in

  378. Tanzania for elementary kids, those kids

  379. would get shipped off. They would get

  380. sent to secondary schools in other

  381. places and they would never come back to

  382. the yada valley to the village in the

  383. villages and to these schools and these

  384. churches. But now there's going to be a

  385. secondary school right where they are so

  386. they can be trained up built up and our

  387. belief and our prayer and by ours the

  388. missionaries the local people and that

  389. then they're going to be able to help

  390. strengthen the culture help strengthen

  391. the strength of the that valley of the

  392. villages that all of a sudden they're

  393. going to learn and grow in fresh water.

  394. They're going to learn and how to plant

  395. and how to do things because we have

  396. been a part of seeing these kids

  397. experience Jesus in school but also grow

  398. in who they are. We get to be a part of

  399. that. There's fueling church plants in

  400. Alaska, church planters in Sri Lanka, uh

  401. India going where the gospel has not

  402. been taken or they don't have the

  403. representation of the gospel. Continuing

  404. to support our missionaries, our local

  405. ministries, royal family kids camp, all

  406. of the things we get to be a part of.

  407. continuing to raise up students and

  408. Royal Rangers and girls ministries right

  409. here. Our our summit for our high

  410. schoolers on Wednesday nights, our Bible

  411. quizzes. We get to be a part of

  412. something special. In fact, can I just

  413. ask you all on June 10th, we get to come

  414. and we're going to be celebrating all of

  415. our student ministries, our Bible

  416. quizzes and our our summit students, our

  417. Royal Rangers, our girls ministry. It's

  418. going to be awesome. And would you put

  419. it on your calendar right now? There's

  420. plenty of time. It's a Wednesday night.

  421. join us on that night so we can

  422. celebrate our kids. And you might say,

  423. "I don't have any kids." That's okay.

  424. But you're part of the RAD fam. And if

  425. you're a part of the Rad fam, you have a

  426. lot of spiritual kids running around. So

  427. come join us. We're a part of the

  428. family. And we're going to celebrate our

  429. student ministries. We get to be a part

  430. locally. We get to be a part of that

  431. soccer that is beginning outside. We get

  432. to be a part church. Real practical, but

  433. we just put some air conditioning and

  434. heating units on the roof in the spring.

  435. Uh, we're going to make it so dad

  436. doesn't have to keep filling potholes on

  437. the front when they come in. He seems

  438. like he does it all the time because

  439. we're going to put down some new asphalt

  440. out there, right? We're going to get to

  441. do these things locally, church, because

  442. we're united. We're together. And when I

  443. think about where we're going, we get to

  444. praise him for the past, but also we're

  445. dedicating the future, what we're

  446. believing for 2026. And I want you to

  447. know there's dreams and visions for

  448. beyond that. He's going to keep moving.

  449. He's going to keep showing himself. He's

  450. going to keep doing things that blow us

  451. away as we walk in his presence and walk

  452. in his plan.

  453. Last five weeks, we've been praying and

  454. walking through and going through

  455. Nehemiah and mostly talking about our

  456. spiritual walk and our our just growth

  457. and our disciplehip. And today, I want

  458. to be real clear that disciplehip

  459. includes an element that some people

  460. love to talk about. I love it as a

  461. pastor, but also I see the blessing. And

  462. some people are like, uh, don't talk

  463. about my money. And I'm not going to

  464. make you raise your hand and say which

  465. side you're on. But today, there's

  466. something about these things happening

  467. because of prayer, because of hard work,

  468. because of our time and our talent, but

  469. also because of our treasure, because of

  470. what God has blessed us with. In fact,

  471. when our mind goes, it's not mine any

  472. longer, but he's given me some stuff to

  473. steward. And whatever he wants in my

  474. time, my talent, my treasure, I give it

  475. back to him. And today we're talking

  476. specifically about our finances of Lord,

  477. how do we see one more for Jesus? How do

  478. we believe as a united group of people?

  479. How do we believe for these things to

  480. happen? And what our prayer is at

  481. Radiant Life is we're going to give at

  482. least 18%. What comes in, we're going to

  483. give it away to the projects and the

  484. missionaries. And in fact, you know what

  485. my prayer is? that that 18% means that

  486. this list or the 76 and then seven with

  487. pastor Matt and Katherine is not near

  488. enough and we have to pick up new

  489. missionaries and we have to come up with

  490. new projects and we've got to partner

  491. with new people because the blessing of

  492. God is poured out on you on his church

  493. family and on the rad fam as we unite

  494. together to see one more for Jesus both

  495. rad fam local in our community and

  496. globally.

  497. When we think of that for this year, we

  498. are moving to a one fund approach for

  499. giving, which means starting next week,

  500. we're going to come and we're going to

  501. talk about uh these elements. We're

  502. going to give and then as a church,

  503. we're going to give 18% away of what

  504. comes in. And we're going to believe God

  505. that when we get to partner together,

  506. greater things are going to happen. that

  507. this year we got to see $470ome

  508. thousand dollars that went through

  509. missions trips and through these

  510. partners and and projects all over the

  511. world. And our prayer is Lord, could we

  512. do more? Lord, could we give away more?

  513. Lord, the heart and the vision of Pastor

  514. Dave and Kay when they started the

  515. church with the four people in their

  516. living room. Lord, now we want to see

  517. more given, more people come to know

  518. you, more people experience the power of

  519. God right here in Dublin as well as

  520. around the world and we get to be a part

  521. of it. And we're going to dedicate,

  522. Lord, we give you these things that we'd

  523. put on a piece of paper, but Lord, we

  524. give you our hearts, our lives. We give

  525. you our finances. We give you every part

  526. of who we are. And I would ask us,

  527. Radiant Life, that we would dedicate our

  528. time, our talent, our our one fun

  529. commitment to God's vision. Don't just

  530. admire what he's done, but let's step

  531. into what he is about to do and say,

  532. "Lord, you've got it. Lord, you are the

  533. one. Lord, take me from where I've been

  534. to where you have me to go."

  535. We looked at those last few verses.

  536. Verse 43, Pacificus says, "They sang or

  537. and they offered great sacrifices that

  538. day and rejoice for God had made them

  539. rejoice with great joy." In chapter 10,

  540. they talked about bringing their first

  541. fruits, bringing the tithe even and

  542. they're bringing their sons, bringing

  543. their children the first, giving the

  544. best to the Lord. And as a church

  545. family, that's what we commit ourselves

  546. to do that when money and funds come in,

  547. we're going to give first. We're going

  548. to bless first. I think back to 2008, if

  549. you remember, that was a great financial

  550. time. And uh Pastor Dave and Kay, they

  551. said, "Hey, we're going to we're going

  552. to give." And I was on staff. We were on

  553. staff at the time. And uh he's like,

  554. "Well, I'm not sure if we're going to

  555. get paid, but our missionaries are going

  556. to get paid because we're going to give

  557. the first to what God has called us to

  558. give to." And you know what? I don't

  559. know. We might have delayed like three

  560. days one time, but God took care of us.

  561. But you know what else he did? He took

  562. care of the ministry of God because of

  563. the faithfulness of our lead pastors.

  564. And that's the kind of church that we

  565. are that we commit. We're going to give

  566. first and we're going to watch God fill

  567. in the gaps. And when we think of our

  568. own, we think of our own finances.

  569. My prayer is Lord, change my heart. It's

  570. not my own finances, but Lord, whatever

  571. you would entrust me with, I offer it

  572. back. And therefore, it's your finances.

  573. It's yours. You've got to worry about

  574. it. and I just have to be obedient and I

  575. have to step in lock step with you and

  576. that's as a church our goal and Lord

  577. help us as individuals

  578. in fact when we think about these things

  579. this morning throw a party before you

  580. see the promise right dedicate it before

  581. you dominate we've got to say this is

  582. what we're going to do and third today

  583. is dream beyond what you can do

  584. beyond what is easy go beyond what is

  585. normal go beyond what makes sense

  586. If we look around, I'm thankful there

  587. I'm sure churches that give more than

  588. 18%. But we're like, Lord, we're going

  589. to keep pushing. And in fact, our goal

  590. isn't 18%. But let's get to 18 and a

  591. half. And then let's get to 19. Let's

  592. get to 20 because we believe, Lord,

  593. you're going to supply. You're going to

  594. take care. And so, Lord, we're going to

  595. keep pushing and keep believing. And

  596. when you ask, we're going to take a step

  597. of faith. Lord, we're going to dream

  598. beyond.

  599. As Rachel and myself, we have dreams. I

  600. mentioned that in one day I decided I

  601. was going to marry her. In four months

  602. we were engaged. In eight months we were

  603. married. And now that we have our oldest

  604. daughter who is just about to be 18

  605. years old and just about to go to

  606. college and we're going to send her. I

  607. It's hard to fathom. It's hard to

  608. believe. It's like we cannot be that

  609. old, dear. But I guess we are. I don't

  610. know. It's It is what it is. And we

  611. believe that God is going to do

  612. something in our family through our

  613. children that we keep pouring into them.

  614. We keep loving them. We believe that

  615. we're going to see them mature into the

  616. the young people and then the not so

  617. young people anymore as we found out

  618. that God has created them to be. We're

  619. believing beyond what we can do. And you

  620. know what? When it comes to our

  621. finances, our time, every part of our

  622. life, Lord, that's our prayer. We want

  623. to give. We want to be faithful. We want

  624. to serve. We want to do anything you've

  625. asked. And we our goal is to give 15%.

  626. We're working. We want to keep up with

  627. the church. So Lord, we've got three

  628. more percent to get to match it, right?

  629. So we're like, Lord, you do it. You move

  630. us. Keep moving us. But this year

  631. stepping, our goal is 15% because we

  632. believe that he's going to repay. We

  633. believe that there will be blessing. We

  634. don't see it as a have to, but it's a

  635. get to. And we are pumped about the

  636. opportunity and say, Lord, I can't wait

  637. to watch you be faithful where we may

  638. not fully understand how it's going to

  639. happen. And in our faith walk with the

  640. Lord, that's what we see. It makes no se

  641. sense here in Nehemiah that in 52 days

  642. what had been torn down for 150 years

  643. could be done. It made no sense that

  644. when they had to hold spears and swords

  645. in one hand with their tools in the

  646. other because they had to protect

  647. themselves and they had to fight off

  648. enemies, it made no sense that just 52

  649. days later there was fear from all of

  650. the people around them because they knew

  651. that their God had showed up there.

  652. makes no sense maybe in your life or in

  653. some situation where what you thought

  654. was going to happen where God came

  655. through. I'll tell you what, it makes no

  656. sense that in our sin, that Jesus came

  657. and he gave himself and he died for us.

  658. And even wherever you were, wherever I

  659. was, he said, "Come, my child. I love

  660. you. Come to the family. Be a part of

  661. what I'm doing." And he's welcomed us as

  662. his children. When we believe and when

  663. we ask him, he says, "You're my son.

  664. You're my daughter." It doesn't make

  665. sense, but church, we can dream beyond

  666. what we can do. And sometimes we can

  667. dream beyond what we even can have faith

  668. for. And we ask him, Lord, give us faith

  669. to believe my time, my talent, my

  670. treasure, every part. Lord Jesus, Lord,

  671. I'm going to follow you. Lord Jesus, I'm

  672. going to go in you. Lord Jesus, I want

  673. to experience you and your goodness. One

  674. more time, 52 days. And everything they

  675. had lived with for their entire lives

  676. was entirely different because they

  677. trusted the hand of Jesus.

  678. And I think in our culture, I think in

  679. our day and our age so often it's be

  680. realistic. Limit your expectations. Stay

  681. in control. I think that's a big one.

  682. Let me just I'm going to control. But

  683. when we come before the Lord and we

  684. offer him all parts of our lives, we

  685. start to say, Lord, I'm not in control.

  686. I actually realize what is the truth.

  687. I'm not in control. At any moment, my

  688. life could be over. At any moment, the

  689. the comforts of my life could be taken

  690. away. At any moment, just turn on the

  691. news. At any moment something could

  692. happen that is not and was not a part of

  693. the plan. So Lord, I can't control any

  694. way. So I give you all.

  695. Take who I am. Take what you've given

  696. me, Lord, what you've offered me. And

  697. will you run it? Will you lead me? Will

  698. you lead what I do? Will you lead who I

  699. am? Will you lead how I parent, how I'm

  700. a husband? Will you lead how I am at the

  701. place that you've given me to work? I'm

  702. so thankful that we get to lead this

  703. church. Lord, I cannot do it. I need

  704. your help. We pray Lord you take it all

  705. in our disciplehip journey I think we

  706. understand this Lord take us one step

  707. and in our giving journey so often it

  708. feels impossible or feels like Lord I

  709. don't know if I can do it and that's why

  710. I want us to be encouraged in the Lord

  711. that we are on a journey and it takes

  712. dreaming it takes walking in him and

  713. saying Lord I'm going to believe that

  714. with you all things are possible as it

  715. says in Matthew 19:26 it may be today

    Matthew 19:26

  716. your finances are a mess Yes, it's time

  717. to come and say it's not mine anymore,

  718. but Lord, it's yours.

  719. And sometimes that means, oh boy, Lord,

  720. I need to make some changes on my

  721. finances. Have you ever been there with

  722. the Lord in whatever area it is, life is

  723. a little rough and you're like, oh, I

  724. might have brought that on myself. I'm

  725. not going to make anybody raise hands.

  726. But we've all been there. And maybe

  727. sometimes there's that. And there's

  728. another thing when I try to control it's

  729. mine. But when I give it to the Lord

  730. that all of a sudden blessing can come

  731. in my life. And I want to encourage in

  732. every area of your life. We need to be

  733. growing in the Lord. We need to be

  734. dreaming beyond what we can do to what

  735. he can do through us. Worship team, if

  736. you want to make your way on up here, I

  737. want to just encourage you. If you have

  738. the half sheet page today, there's four

  739. groups that I believe we could all fit

  740. in in one way or another when it comes

  741. to our finances. It's disciplehip

  742. journey. It's a disciplehip step. The

  743. first is a learner. Maybe you're here

  744. and like, I don't know. I'm not sure.

  745. But you could say, I could do something.

  746. this is my church family and I need to

  747. be a part of doing something. It's just

  748. learning obedience. It's listening for

  749. the Lord. Lord, I'll give. Lord, I'll be

  750. a part. Maybe it's a few bucks. Maybe

  751. it's a few hundred. Maybe it's a few

  752. thousand. I don't know. But where we

  753. say, Lord, whatever you have, I'm going

  754. to jump in and begin this process of

  755. learning.

  756. Maybe you'd say, you know what, I am

  757. been there, but I want to really start

  758. partnering.

  759. What we ask you to pray about and to

  760. think about is what percentage are you

  761. at? We believe in the principle of the

  762. tithe throughout the word and getting to

  763. that point. But maybe in the disciplehip

  764. journey today, you're like, I need to

  765. start with one or two or five or seven

  766. or eight or 9%. I'm getting there. I'm

  767. I'm working that way. And I would

  768. encourage you when we take a step in our

  769. disciplehip journey. I believe God just

  770. continues to do. He continues to open

  771. our heart. He continues to give freedom.

  772. And I would ask you maybe today you pray

  773. and you say, "Lord, I'm going to partner

  774. with you. And Lord, would you help us?

  775. we're going to start. I'm going to give

  776. 2% this year. I'm going to believe for

  777. four or seven, whatever it might be. Or

  778. maybe you're there. You've been giving

  779. consistently, but you say, "Lord, I I

  780. see the principle of the tithe in the

  781. word and I want to jump to that tithing

  782. place and you say, "That's me." And if

  783. so, I would encourage you to take a step

  784. of faith. And for some, it might be from

  785. zero that you just feel this is what I

  786. see in the word. This is what they said

  787. in Nehemiah. This is what they say in

  788. Malachi. It's what they did in the early

  789. church. Jesus didn't talk a lot about

  790. the tithe because it was just a part of

  791. their culture and of their time.

  792. But the principle throughout the word,

  793. Lord, I want to take that step and you

  794. take a big leap of faith. Maybe that's

  795. you. Or maybe you've been giving. You

  796. you've been tithing or maybe the Lord

  797. just drops on your heart like Pastor

  798. Rachel and myself. Lord, we we are going

  799. to tithe. There's no way we wouldn't do

  800. that. But Lord, we feel there's above

  801. and beyond. And you say, I want to be a

  802. kingdom builder above and beyond that

  803. principle, working towards it. or I

  804. believe church we're working from it the

  805. principle of the tithe and this isn't

  806. about pastor asking please please please

  807. but I believe so much in my heart from

  808. the word of God that disciplehip in fact

  809. the word says where our money is there

  810. our heart is

  811. that's a pretty big deal Jesus talked

  812. about money more than anything else any

  813. other topic and when we come before him

  814. we say Lord we give you all and we're

  815. going to close this morning just with a

  816. moment of prayer of worship of asking

  817. asking him, Lord, you're the name.

  818. You're everything. So, Lord, what would

  819. you have me do? We've done different

  820. things and I just believe so strongly

  821. that when we take that step, Lord, I'm

  822. going to start. I'm going to be a

  823. learner. I'm going to be a partner. I'm

  824. going to pick a percent that God would

  825. give me. I'm going to jump into tithing.

  826. Come on. I'm going to be a kingdom

  827. builder. I believe God is so proud of

  828. his church when we're walking and we're

  829. taking a step and we're growing in our

  830. disciplehip and our love for Jesus in

  831. every area of our life.

  832. And maybe today you begin to pray and

  833. you're like uh maybe that learner thinks

  834. that's big deal for you.

  835. Maybe God speaks and he would encourage.

  836. I would encourage listen to what the

  837. Lord has and I promise you he will take

  838. care of you.

  839. Maybe you're like I give a lot and the

  840. Lord would say do something. Do what the

  841. Lord would say. It's not about me. But

  842. we want to be those that give joyfully.

  843. There's something that happens when we

  844. come and we give them every part. And

  845. I'm so thankful for this church because

  846. what you see giving away $470ome,000,

  847. that does not happen by just a few bucks

  848. getting put in a plate. It comes because

  849. there's a church of people that you're a

  850. part. You're partnering. You're tithing.

  851. You're a kingdom builder. And church,

  852. can we all take a step in the things of

  853. God? So that that 18%, that means we've

  854. got to pick some new projects. We can

  855. fix a little more parking lot. That

  856. means we can give and we can see more

  857. things in soccer or in our kids

  858. ministry. We can have another kid or two

  859. or three sponsored to go to camp.

  860. Whatever it is, we get to be together.

  861. We get to be united as we give as a

  862. church family from what God has

  863. entrusted us with.

  864. My dad always said, "If he can get it

  865. through you, he'll get it to you." And I

  866. I'll tell you what, there's something

  867. about that when we're open to the Lord.

  868. And so my prayer over the next five

  869. minutes, I'm going to pray a bre

  870. blessing over us. And then they're going

  871. to lead us in a song. And that song,

  872. maybe you should sing the words or maybe

  873. you should find a place at the altar.

  874. Maybe you should sit or stand in your

  875. chair, whatever it is today, that we'd

  876. say, "Lord, would you speak?" Not what

  877. Pastor Chris said, but what your word

  878. would say. Not but spirit. Would you

  879. speak to me? And as we take a step, as

  880. we're learners, as we're partners, as

  881. we're tithers, as we're kingdom

  882. builders, as a family, church, anything

  883. is truly possible. I want to say I'm so

  884. proud of this church. I'm proud of you

  885. because when we even have these

  886. conversations, when we open our heart to

  887. him, anything is possible. Let him speak

  888. and let's take that step in him. And if

  889. you're able this morning, could we stand

  890. to our feet? If you're unable, hey, in

  891. your heart, we're praying. We're

  892. standing together and we're believing.

  893. And I want to pray a prayer of blessing

  894. over this church today, over you, that

  895. God will show himself in your life. And

  896. so, Lord, right now, we're thankful for

  897. this church family. I'm thankful for

  898. these people, Lord. Lord, that we want

  899. to be more like you. And we understand

  900. that disciplehip is a journey. It's a

  901. process. We're not at the end when we

  902. start, Lord, but we're working on it.

  903. And Lord, when it comes to our finances,

  904. in the same way today, Lord, I pray

  905. every one of us would have our hearts

  906. open to you. Lord, that we would take a

  907. step in you, we say, Lord, if it's I'm a

  908. learner, I'm just going to start

  909. somewhere. I'm partner. I'm going to

  910. start with some percentage consistently,

  911. a tither. Lord, that big step in you. Or

  912. Lord, maybe above and beyond as a

  913. kingdom builder. Lord, would you bless

  914. your people? And I know that you are

  915. proud of your people. You're joyful when

  916. we take a journey, a step with you. And

  917. today, Lord, help us to walk. And in

  918. fact, Lord, as we think to 2026, God, we

  919. declare that you will use the RAD fam to

  920. see lives changed, leaders developed in

  921. the love of Jesus shared everywhere. We

  922. declare that our city will see the

  923. evidence of God's hand. We declare that

  924. anything is possible when your people

  925. move in faith and that by your word and

  926. by your spirit and through our obedience

  927. we believe it. We receive it. We will

  928. walk in it. Today, Lord, we choose to

  929. pick up the tools to lay down our pride,

  930. our selfishness, our own desires, the

  931. things we just don't know. We lay them

  932. down and step into the blessing that you

  933. have for your rad fam today. Lord, today

  934. we submit every part of our lives to

  935. you, Jesus. And Lord, we watch. We watch

  936. as you transform us from the inside out,

  937. Lord. Move in your people. And even in

  938. these next few minutes, Lord, as we

  939. stand, as we sit, as we come to an

  940. altar, as we kneel, as we think about,

  941. Lord, what you want, Lord, I pray not

  942. because of my words, but because of your

  943. word, the the Bible and Holy Spirit,

  944. your word, would you speak to us? Let us

  945. know what's the step we need to take as

  946. individuals. While as a church family,

  947. we keep pushing forward to see one more

  948. person come to know you, both here at

  949. the Rad Fam, locally, and all around the

  950. world. So Lord, we turn this into a

  951. place our hearts are open before you.

  952. Speak, be glorified that every nation

  953. and every soul would experience you. We

  954. love you. We love you. Let's have our

  955. hearts opened as we just listen for what

  956. the Lord would have each of us do as we

  957. connect with him.

  958. I could say

  959. your name

  960. for all my life

  961. and still

  962. find more to love each time.

  963. Jesus be the name ever on my lips.

  964. Sweeter every time that I call on you.

  965. There's just something about your name.

  966. There's just something about your name

  967. that makes me cry holy.

  968. There is no other name.

  969. No, there is no other name.

  970. There is no other name.

  971. Jesus, you're worthy.

  972. You have been the friend who never

  973. left. I won't

  974. forget

  975. your faithfulness.

  976. Jesus be the name ever on my lips.

  977. Sweeter every time that I call on it.

  978. There's just something about your name.

  979. There's just something about your name

  980. that makes me cry holy.

  981. Oh, there is no other name.

  982. No, there is no other name.

  983. There is no other name.

  984. Jesus, you're worthy.

  985. There's just something about your name.

  986. There's just something about your name

  987. that makes me cry holy.

  988. Oh, there is no other name. Jesus,

  989. there is no other name.

  990. Oh, there is no other name.

  991. Jesus, you're worthy.

  992. You're so worthy, God.

  993. Oh Jesus,

  994. you're so worthy, God.

  995. Jesus, your name is like the morning

  996. light, the one the darkness can't deny,

  997. the resurrection

  998. and the life. Jesus.

  999. Jesus, your name can save. Your name can

1000. heal. Your name can make the storm be

1001. still. You never fail. You never will.

  1002. Jesus,

1003. Jesus, the bread of life broken for us.

1004. The wounded and the worthy one. The

1005. first, the last, the soon to come.

  1006. Jesus.

1007. Jesus the king who overwhelmed the

1008. grave. The Lord who will forever reign.

1009. The name above all other names. Jesus.

1010. Oh Jesus be the name.

1011. Yes. Jesus be the name.

1012. Oh Jesus be the name

1013. that gets all the glory.

1014. Oh Jesus be the name.

1015. Yes Jesus be the name.

1016. Oh Jesus be the name

  1017. gets all the glory.

  1018. Oh Jesus

1019. you get all the glory. God, you get all

  1020. the glory, Jesus.

  1021. Oh, you're worthy, God.

1022. Oh, Jesus be the name.

1023. Oh Jesus, be the name.

1024. >> Jesus, you are so good. And we're

1025. thankful today, Lord. It's not all about

1026. money. It's just one part. But Lord,

  1027. you're guiding us and you're directing

1028. us, Lord, from sin away from it. You're

1029. guiding us in our relationships. You're

1030. guiding us with what we do, with our

1031. time, our talents, but Lord, you also

1032. are guiding us in our treasure. And

1033. Lord, help us be individuals in a church

1034. that Lord, we're taking a step in every

  1035. area. We're walking towards you. We're

1036. saying, Lord, move. And Lord, as

1037. individuals, but then as a church

1038. family, Lord, would you lead us and

1039. guide us? Lord, we want to be the best

1040. stewards of time, of resources, of

1041. talent, of everything, Lord, to see one

1042. more person come to know you. So, I pray

1043. this week, Lord, as we pray about these

1044. cards, as we pray about what our step

1045. is, as we pray, Lord, how do I take a

1046. step? Lord, I'm thankful for this

1047. church, and I pray that every person

1048. would know that when we say yes and we

1049. listen to what you have, wherever we're

1050. at on this giving pathway, Lord, you're

  1051. proud and you're happy and you're

1052. cheering us on. And so Lord, let us take

1053. those steps. Let us step out in you,

1054. Lord. We're thankful. We need you, Lord,

1055. that one more person would know Jesus.

1056. We love you. We love you, Jesus. Come

1057. on, church. Our God is good. He's good.

  1058. He's good. He's good.

1059. And I want to encourage you, take this

1060. card home. Next week during worship

1061. towards the beginning, we're going to

1062. have a our own celebration a little like

  1063. in Nehemiah. I don't know if we'll go

1064. around the room, but we'll at least

1065. maybe come to the front, put them in a

  1066. bucket, we'll believe, and then we're

1067. going to start a new sermon series, the

1068. Jesus way out of John, starting in 14.

1069. And I'm pumped about the next several

1070. weeks, maybe a few months, going through

1071. the John 14 through the end. And I

1072. encourage, let's give all to Jesus, not

1073. just in finances, but in our heart and

1074. who we are. If he's asking you to take a

1075. step, let's take it. But take this card

1076. home, bring it back next week, and

1077. obviously we'll give new ones out. If

1078. you leave it at home, no worries. We're

1079. going to celebrate. Let's all take a

1080. step in him. And I want you to know I'm

1081. so proud of you, church. I'm so thankful

1082. that Pastor Rachel and I that we get to

1083. lead here because it is so much fun and

1084. you make it that. We love you. We're

1085. thankful for what God is doing. I also

1086. before we leave want to invite you

1087. tonight, 6:00 our Super Bowl party in

1088. the gym. You can come hang out. Super

1089. Bowl starts at 6:30. Going to be

1090. relational, a good time. and we're going

1091. to be celebrating, having fun, but a

1092. great place to connect, get to know some

1093. people, maybe get connected to a life

1094. group, and we'd invite you to come join

  1095. us. Bring a a chair, something

1096. comfortable from your house. We have

1097. folding chairs. If you want to sit in

  1098. those, that's fine, but something that's

1099. comfortable. Bring it out with you.

1100. Maybe not a recliner. Leave those at

1101. home, but you know, like a foldable

1102. chair, something along those lines.

1103. It'll be good. Uh, and it's going to be

1104. good. Also, food. Bring a tailgate food

1105. item to share. And uh we're going to

1106. have a great time as we celebrate

1107. together and just have a good time. At

1108. halftime, you get to go home and you can

1109. watch the second half at home. So you

1110. can be in your bed just enjoying it. But

1111. first half, come and join us. And one

1112. other thing, if it's all right before we

1113. leave this week, in fact, last night,

1114. one of our executive presitters, we're

1115. part of the Assemblies of God. One of

1116. our national leaders had a heart attack

1117. and passed away. And literally this

1118. week, two of our executive prespitters

1119. from death or other reasons had to step

1120. away from that that top level

1121. leadership. And uh can we pray for

1122. Allison Park Assembly of God in P

1123. Pennsylvania for Jeff Leak? Uh he's with

1124. Jesus. He's experienced his reward. But

1125. for his church and for our fellowship,

1126. can we believe that God will move and he

1127. will give grace and peace and his love

1128. to what just ah the hearts. I can't

1129. imagine his family, his church, and even

1130. our fellowship. And so, could we just

1131. take a moment and pray? Lord, we just

1132. ask you right now for Jeff Leak's

1133. family, for his church. Lord, he's a

  1134. big-time church planner. Literally,

1135. hundreds of churches he has planted

1136. through Allison Park, Assembly of God.

1137. And we pray that you, Lord Jesus, would

1138. be there for all of those that are

1139. hurting that knew him personally, that

1140. he was their spiritual father. Lord, we

1141. pray that you would build them up, that

1142. they would feel your love and your grace

1143. and your mercy for that church, God,

1144. today that's grieving. Lord, would you

1145. give them the way forward,

1146. Lord Jesus? Would you be them there for

1147. them and specifically for his family,

1148. God? We ask that you would take care,

1149. Lord. Would you let them feel your love,

1150. your hug around them, God? Lord, I pray

1151. that they would feel the spiritual just

  1152. impact. Lord, I'm sure there's many

1153. others that are praying and believing

1154. and asking you to move in their

1155. situation. God, would you let them feel

1156. your grace? So, we're thankful for

1157. Pastor Jeff and the legacy that he has

1158. left and now be with his church, with

1159. this family, with our fellowship, the

1160. other situation. God, we pray that you'd

1161. be in it as well. Lord, would you guide

1162. us as a fellowship? Lord, guide us as a

1163. church. We want to see one more come to

1164. know you. Lord, we pray for Pastor Doug

1165. Clay, our national leader. Lord, that

1166. you'd give him wisdom, Lord Jesus. That

1167. you'd give all of our national

1168. leadership wisdom. Lord, we're thankful

1169. for it. We love you. Thank you that you

1170. are in control. You're our God. You're

1171. the one that leads us forward. We love

1172. you and praise you. In your name we

1173. pray. Amen. Amen. Thank you for praying

1174. with us. And uh I encourage have a great

1175. day today. Come back at 6:00 tonight.

1176. Pray about what God what step of

1177. disciplehip and finances he would have

1178. you do. And next week, we're going to

1179. celebrate and we're going to jump into a

1180. new series, The Jesus Way. This week, be

1181. careful what you watch. Be careful what

  1182. you listen to.
