Words Have Power #5

So always a great opportunity to have on board with

us here as we go forth and doing the work

in the studio. Also our pot being service and for

our pop being team that's coming in with us as

a right now getting started. You know, it's blessed for

have them on our program with us as well. But

man and woman God gets ourselves prepared, get yourself prepared

as we go forth and hear what the world of

God has to say that's coming from the Kingdom of God.

We deal with that tongue and so as the word

so well to maybe make sure we get a goot

understanding about what's going on with the Word. Gonna send

you guys out some shares for those who wanna listen

to us on our Facebook channels. We're gonna be in

there also those who listen to our ex channels. Even

though it talks about a lot of the uh what

we call the governmental stuff, but what we're still pushing

the Word of God. That way for man and women

God to hear you know what we're speaking here in

the body of Christ and what's going on here. And

so we get forth a woman to God, get ourselves

in position to speak to you guys want to go ahead,

and as I said before, not being repetitive, but being redound.

I wanna make sure that we're going to get ourselves moving,

that she comes into point here with us and hearing

what the word of God is speaking, that's coming from

the king A few more people want to add in here,

want to be a part of our program. Want to

get them in here and get them going. And it's

one of those things we do here, getting everybody set up.

You know, we believe in that room, it's ten seventeen.

You know, the years got to be heard. You got

to hear what the Word of God is saying, that's

coming from the Kingdom of God. And this is why

we kind of pull away from a lot of the

you say there the audio services and so many people

are engaged in with audio, you know, just looking at

the audio. And we really want you guys to know

and understand that work we're doing here that you know

she studios, there's incredible work. It's a powerful work. It

comes through the Kingdom of God. We know no weapon

formed against it. She'll and ken prosper in the name

of Jesus Christ, another woman.

This is Pastor Patty Ellis with Harvest to Life Church International,

Harvest and Life Studios, and of course my beautiful husband

here Apostle Charles Us. We're going to continue on the

topic of words have power. We've had such a great

response to our prior podcasts that I've been bringing forth about.

What's coming out of our mouth.

So before we get started, we want to make sure

that you get your pens and pencils together, get your paper,

write down these scriptures. You do want to go back

and look over the scriptures that we speak about. That

we and jest because we want to see what God

is telling you, and you know you want to see

what Cut is telling you and getting the direction in

your life. So I'm going to go ahead and open

up with prayer and we're going to get right down

to it. We thank you, Lord for this word that's

coming forth today. We thank you Lord for allowing.

Us to come together.

Lord, help us to open up our spiritual ears and

open up our spiritual eyes that we may hear and

this and see the direction that You have for each

one of us as we go forth in the word Lord,

bring those those scriptures to life.

In our lives.

Help us to take the scriptures, let us ingest the scriptures,

and let us grow in your wisdom. In Jesus name,

we pray.

Amen. We're going to come right.

To James three, and in James three, we're going to

come to.

The eighth verse.

And I want to take you in a couple of

different versions, but let's look at let's look at the

eighth verse. When we talk about the power of our words.

There is so much that can come out of our mouth.

And are we, as followers of Christ, as representatives of

the kingdom, are we watching what comes out of our mouth.

Where we just.

Saying what we want to say when we want to

say it. We have a responsibility that what comes out

of our mouth can be so powerful. And remember we

talked about this previously on some previous broadcasts that you know,

when you're on the receiving end of a word that

is different from from the person that's receiving, from the

person that is giving. So as the giver of the word,

we have to be careful, we have to really be

conscious of what's coming out of our mouth. But in

this a verse, again this is in James three and eight,

but no man can tame the tongue. It is unruly, evil,

full of deadly poison. Let's take that same scripture.

We're going to open it up in the the easy read.

It says, but no one can control the tongue. It

is wild and evil, full of deadly poison. Why are

you saying, why do you think that that God is

telling us in the scripture but no one can control

the tongue?

Okay, man, I mean, I mean, I mean I don't

want to kind of get out of get out of it. Poison.

Poison is slow death. Words have slow death. If they

all really understand what that's a possible is telling you,

when you say something to somebody, it marinates, and not

long does it marinate. They tend to never forget. They

may apologize, but they never forget. So those things can

kind of slow death. Somebody slow rolling say, its just

slow rolls to death as they continue to think about

when they see you, what you have said or what

you have done. Most of the time, when you see people,

they think about how you treated them. Right, I mean,

the last thing is you see it. You know, sometimes

you look at marriages. People get in conversations and this

is why when you're with your wife, with your spouse,

whoever it may be, and getting ready to go into marriage.

You want to make sure you're careful how you choose

words when you speak, because those things can put an

overlaid on your life. So when something come back and

then then they go again that stuff and it is

powdered kids. And then if you never said forgiven you

or whatever it may be, even though they may have

not forgotten. But at the same time, you gotta really

just watch what you say, period. And so when somebody

said something, they hadn't forgot about it. So then you

touch that nerve again. There it is World War three

and a half, the thing, and it's coming out. I

remember some stuff you say it back in two thousand

and three. It wasn't too cool, And there it is.

And then guess what. The biggest instigator, the devil, he

gonna come in there, he gonna come in. He gonna

help instigate it. So that's that's when we look at

the tongue and some of the things that when we speak,

the Bible said, watch what you speak, not only what

you I mean, we talked about a lot of what

you speak, how you speak, the way you speak, what

you eat, what you hang around. These things have influence

because the enemy is moving on another level right now.

The things you ignore the enemy is putting in the

store tank right and he's storing that stuff up.

You.

I remember shit done back in two thousand three wasn't

too cool. So whenever that's something comes that you don't like,

the enemy gonna go into that case. He's gonna open

it up. Ya, he's gonna work on you. Just go

that chiseling Ham, go open some stuff up.

And do you know that just I'm gonna tell what

he was just saying that. You know, when we what

comes out of our mouth, do you know that you

can cause anxiety and worry in someone by what you say.

It may not mean anything.

To you, You might be speaking something as a fact,

but what comes out of us can affect somebody else.

We talked about this in a previous broadcast that you

can't edit your conversation. Once it comes out, it comes out.

That's it.

And what's on the receiving end.

You know, just just as you were you were saying

about how people don't don't forget.

No, no, A lot a lot of people got a

photostatic memory not only just photostatic, but memory a lot,

especially when it's something that that burns you and it

hurts you. You can remember some stuff your mom. Black

kids when they talk about black people talking about the

grandmama told them next that mama told mer, well there

you go there. If those was anger words, if you

could speak good words about what your grandmother taught you,

what your mama taught you, just think about when somebody

do some bad to you, you can remember that too.

So the man is really a photostatic shadow of things,

and it pictures, and it pictures with emotions and feelings.

So you got to be very careful what you say

and how you say it.

When have you ever been on the receiving end of

someone something that someone said that was.

Hurtful to you, You gonna tear their head off. But

you can't do that, you know what I'm saying. You

want to do something to somebody, I mean because you

had not really especially when you hadn't fully coming to

a Christian yet, and I would do something, man, because

everybody got a king in the food in them. People

don't understand that though, but they want to make it

like they don't. You can't serve two masters. You can't

go party tomorrow night and then come to church Sunday

morning and blend the Holy Spirit and it ain't gonna

work like that. A consistency of a diet makes you

better at what you do. And it takes thirty days

to create a happy usually when my meat broken up

and I do things. When you do stuff consistently, it

tends to overwhelm that whatever it is that's negative because

you constantly layering it over what stuff that's good rather

than bad. But some people don't look at it like that.

I'm gonna go to the club. I'm wanna drink and

then I want to come praise God. No, say, you

can't drink from two cups, and some people want to

drink from two cups and stuff. I mean, that's not

only do the mind has a bad problem. But then

the tongue relays what's in the mind. The war is

in your head, and they don't understand that.

I wanted to bring you to Roma's twelve and one.

I do this almost every time because what do we

need to do every single day? We have to bring

ourselves and bring us to a living sacrifice. And it

says in the very beginning, it says, I beseech you, brethren.

But as we look at the easy read, it says,

so I beg you, brothers and sisters, because of the

great mercy God has shown us, offer your lives as

a living sacrifice to him, an offering that is only

for God and pleasing to him. Considering what He has done,

it is only right that you should worship Him in

this way. Don't change yourselves to be like the people

of this world, but let God change you inside with

the new way of thinking. Then you will be able

to understand and accept what God wants for you. You

will be able to know what is good and pleasing

to Him and what is perfect.

And I bring you to this scripture.

Because when we're talking about our tongue, and you know,

how do we how do we guard against you know

that evil poison coming out of us? You have to

just this word. You have to come to the very beginning.

And I bring you that that scripture because we have

to bring ourselves into a living sacrifice every day. What

I mean is we have to bring ourselves to the Kingdom.

We have to bring ourselves before Heavenly Father is the Lord,

Help me today, Help me to watch what I say,

bring those words to me that will edify, will lift

up others, and will bring wisdom to others. So in

other words, we're not just throwing darts all day. We're

just saying, you know, like, okay, maybe you woke up mad, Well,

what's going to happen when you wake up mad?

What's gonna come out of your mouth?

It's it's gonna be whatever, It's gonna be poison coming

out of your mouth. And I think we've all been

in those those situations before, where like, you know, maybe

something happened the day before, maybe something happened earlier in

the day that I just rubbed you the wrong way.

I've been rubbed the wrong way before.

Everybody got triggers. You just need to acknowledge your triggers,

you know, make them out the control. That's first Corinch

eleven twenty eight. You know, no people takes time to

thoroughly examine themselves because they're call up in the entertainment

puddle watching stuff. Right. I want to hear and received,

but I don't want to do right. You know, I

want to be a problem. Go to the movies. You

know what I'm saying. I only all amenities, the movies,

all what you call them, the thing, but the catchups

what you call them? You like, you know, you don't

talk about sacraments, whatever it connects you call them. You

and all that stuff to go in with what you're eating.

Condiments.

Yeah, yeah, you know, but you don't pay attention to

what you want in t All you know is that

she was on the box. Stuff it, man.

But we have to look at ourselves, as you know,

we're vessels of God. We have a responsibility to be

effective for the kingdom. We have responsibility really to just

gain the wisdom and the world of God. And how

do we do that?

It's constant patroling, constant patrol your mind. Your mind is

constantly in a position that you know it's got to learn.

It's a straining, it's really your mind is really a strainer.

I don't know if your mam and daddy fired grease

back in the day, but the corn meal and all

that those stuff and the strain of grease and somebody

grease us have been used over and over again. If

it's strained, right, I mean, they had no choice. But

usually I mean because when you start straining stuff and

what a strainer does is it catches things that's unpure,

too large to flow through, you know, so it stops it.

And then when you look at it, what do you do.

It's like Jesus talking about the salt if it ain't

got the taste to it. And then chicken greases chicken.

I remember, I want to stay this. I remember at

Long John Silvers, they used to sell crumbs. Yeah, that

was the old leftover crumbs that they made up. They

made money off of selling, and that stuff they probably

still sell it. That was the old leftover fried crumbs

that came off the battle of the chicken on the

weather the fish, the tasty crumbs, I mean. And so

some people like eating crumbs, I mean, you know what

I'm saying. But then the Cuba Phoenicians made it real

clear and that's wrong with the crumbs. But you gotta

analyze the crumbs of what you're eating. And sometimes people

around you have certain kind of crumbs that you don't

need to be around. So when that stuff influences you,

guess what it comes out of you? Guilty by association.

So that's so true. Yeah, let's look at Colauss four,

look at the fifth verse and calautions four says walk

in wisdom towards those who are outside redeeming the time. Look,

let's look at the sixth verse. Let your speech always

be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know

how you ought to answer each other.

That's pretty simple right there. I mean for those who

want to hear it. I mean, you know, when you

think about it, it's pretty simple. I mean if you

listen to what the woman that God is saying. Here

she said, look here, Now that's what you read.

Any of it that one is in the New King James.

Said that easy read throwing up better is right there.

Look at it, don't matter. They go to common English

and look at that ce Bible. It's what they're Common English.

And then come back to the Because you can get

a lot out of stuff if you just dissect the

scriptures and begin to just look at us and just

reading it the way you learn to understand and get

more break down on the scriptures. If you read different

volumes of scripture, what brings you into more understanding? The

Bobble said, with all your get and get get understanding.

So you need to really invest in some of your

you know, your things that your study your study Bibles

and things of that nature. But in the Common English Bible,

matter of fact, it's one. It's one called you just

look at the ce B and you look at that

ce B and what is that four to six? You

look at the four six and you say your speech

should always be what gracious? And what it said? Sprinkle

with what insight? What does that mean? Wisdom? Insight, even

say outside insight. When you'll tell of God, what you

sprinkles come from the Kingdom of God. So what you sprinkling,

you want to be able to give off the goodness

like somebody seasoning something. You're wanna sprinkle some good it's

gonna be tasted or what God the bobble said, tastes

and see if it's good. So when you when it's

sprinkled with insights, that means it's coming straight from the

Kingdom of God. Your mind is channeling, and what's a

kind of do it for the Kingdom of God, so

that you may know what to respond to every person

or how to respond every person. Some people don't want

to talk to you. I mean, I mean, I'm just

saying he's a Christian. Folks too, some of them, some

of the meanest people in this church. I mean, you

know they I mean, you just gotta tell it like

it is, Oh hallelujah. But then I'm gonna cush you out,

I'm gonna talk bad to you. I'm gonna go, I'm

gonna put my big hat on, I'm gonna go to

my big bike. I'm gonna have all the best clothes.

But my house is tore up from the floor. But

need to check up from the neck up.

Yes, So how are you at? Like, think about that,

how people are at church? You know, you're supposed to

be on your best behavior. And and I remember, like

you know, growing up and my mother saying, you know

you you're quiet, you know, you sit there, be quite enlistened.

They got some sense, all it got all what belongs

to you?

They say, right, But once once you know we're in

our best behavior, we're there at church, but.

What are we when we go home?

Yeah, when we put on our comfortable clothes and we're

maybe watching TV, maybe we're playing whatever way happened to

be doing right. And that's why we say, like bring

us to Romans Dwell, but one that we have to

make ourselves a living sacrifice all the time. That we're

not just we're not just holding ourselves a certain way

at a certain place.

Going to church, right, just going to church I representative

of the Kingdom of God.

Right, because we're always a representative of wherever we are,

whether we're at the grocery store, whether at work, right,

whether we're at school, whether with our friends. That we're

representatives of the kingdom. And this sixth verse seems to

be so basic, and so you know, like I think

we can understand it. But let me take you to

that's We're gonna still stay in the sixth verse, but

I want to take you to the easy read. When

you talk, you should always be kind and wise. We're

representatives of the kingdom. God is always listening to us. God,

God hears everything. You're sponsious And we're not just doing

because okay, God's listening. No, we're doing that because what

representatives of the kingdom.

That's back to your James, right, Like you said in

the Book of James, that is your tongue. You know

what I'm saying, what is James three or nine? That

that's what, that's what, that's what, that's what everything starts

right there. Your mouth right, fix your mouth. But you

can't fix your mouth. You ain't got your heart right right,

because Jesus declared that to the Pharisees, what comes out

of the heart. What's then the heart comes.

Out to the mouth right and it will come out.

It's gonna come out. Oh, you know it's gonna come out.

You get somebody, Like I said, everybody got a king

of the food, and people don't believe that I'm holding

it down. I got everything to look good. I got

all this going on. But you ain't got no backbone.

Somebody show me to be the Raymond j Just see somebody.

Somebody gonna go to throw by some backbone. You know,

some people ain't got They want to still play on

both sides, but they want to criticize you. Now look

at for they mistakes that they made. And then when

you come to a rejection point and you reject them

for whatever lifestyle they live, then they want to get

upset you when you made the mistake. I'm just here

to help you to understand that God declared that he'll

erase everything out of your life. There's no matter what

it has been. He said, I've erased every handwriting. That's

the enemy. He want to put some signatures on you.

People don't understand you behind closed door. Now God see

everything that's right you think you don't see.

And God gives us the keys to the kingdom and

his word. God gives us these so many different and

I always think of these as nuets and the word

because when we look at that sixth person, when you

when you talk, you should always be kind and wise.

Here's here's one of.

Those keys that God is giving us. When you talk,

you should always be kind and wise. And when we

continue in that, it says, then you will be able

to answer everyone and the way you should do.

You see that.

That this is like a key that's opening. God says, okay,

when you do this, when you when you talk, you

should be kind and wise, because what comes next is

then you'll be able to answer everyone in the way

you should. God gives us this this, these instructions, and

I look at that as an instruction because God is

showing you, Okay, you've got to do some things on.

Your part.

When you and this seems really basic, doesn't it, But

when you implement it, when you put this into your life,

there's something that comes behind that word you've put yourself

when you talk and you should always be kind and

wise because when you bring that forth, just like God

is telling us to do, there's this wisdom that comes

with it, this wisdom and that instruction, and this power

in the instruction because when you implement it, there, okay,

I'm being kind, I'm being wise. What's coming out of

my mouth, and here's where the power comes in. Then

you'll be able to answer everyone in the way you should.

Why is that because we have the Holy Spirit in us,

we have the Holy Spirit that guides us and nurtures us.

When we're following God's instructions, then that power comes to play.

And then you'll notice that, Wow, that wasn't me speaking,

that's coming from the kingdom. Because we're remember we're vessels.

God uses us as vessels for him. We're children of God.

God shows us what we need to do, how we

need to do. You know what we need to say

at the time that we need to say it. And

look how we're going to keep going in. Let's go

to a I'm going to think it take you to Ephesians.

Let's go to Ephesians four. I'm going to take you

right over to Ephesians four. It's kind of getting okay,

Ephesians four, let's go down to the twenty ninth.

First, this is.

That part where we're being vessels of God. We're watching

what's coming out of our mouth. We're being we're taking

some thought before we speak. Because remember, without those vessels,

we're God's vessels. So when we you know, we when

we look at and I want to say, just like

when people just observe these vessels of us, you know

that that people do observe you can you can just

think about the natural world. There's always people looking, there's

always people trying to learn, and and do you know

that when people look at us, and I'm saying us

as representatives of the kingdom, they're looking to see what

we're doing. They're looking to see what we're saying, how

we're living our lives. What's coming out of our mouth?

Is is it what you know? How we should be living?

And it's what's coming out of our mouth different from

how we're living. We're were these vessels that God has

called us to be. He wants us to be effective,

and everything that we do, in our speech, in our actions, everything.

Let's look at this twenty ninth verset says, let no

corrupt word proceed out of your mouth. But what is

good for necessary edification that it may impart grace to

the hearers. Let's take that same one and we're going

to look in the Okay, we're gonna open it up

and we're gonna look at over in the' let's let's break.

Break up that.

Scripture we're going to take it over to the easy.

Read it says in that twenty ninth. Verst when you,

talk don't say anything. Bad that seems pretty, clear, right

when you, talk don't say anything, bad but say the

good things that people, needed whatever will help them grow.

Stronger he made me laugh or, Whatever, james he can't

bridle the. Tongue, YEAH i mean people can bridle the, tongue,

now you. KNOW i, MEAN i mean that's the. Truth

the word's gonna either gonna hurt what make you or

you know what they, said they make you break. You

But james, said, okay now you. Can't your tongue messed.

Up the spirit controls the. Tongue it's gotta be because

that's what the, heart what pumps out of the, heart

and that's where The holy bell dwells. At that's what

the power of the unity between you And god dwells

not in the, mind but in the. Heart he, said

let the mind be in, you they also be In Christ.

Jesus but Then jesus come, back and the class to The.

Pharisees you, vipers you ride the. Vipers you know what's

in your. Heart that's what comes out of your. Mouth

you speaking about dishes and places and, cups, robes, rains

titles and, Positions but where your heart. At you got

a black, heart you. Know but so people want. THAT i, mean, mama,

man have got, okay well the BATTER i don't know

you by your what?

Fruit that's.

Right you can be, wherever you can have what entire you.

Want But god looks at your, fruit you know What i'm.

Saying and if you're, unfruitful especially some of his fruits

you see, today ain't got no seas and that's what

some of his fruit we got. Today you're consuming the

wrong kind of. Stuff but it's your fault because what

you're eating comes down for you can. STARVE i Mean i'm,

saying i'masusing an example at how it. Is you, know

people that, dieters you gotta check. It you worried about

the outside people worry about losing weight looking. Good want the,

hips the, lips the, breasts and everything looks. Good the

guy want to biceps the. Trap but then again you

but then you got a black. HEART i, mean you

don't know what you're gonna. Do, mind, body and soul

is a part of, discipline, really to be, disciplined and

you gotta make sure your inside your. Spirit all, right

people laugh and think about. Anybody ain't nobody never said you?

Perfect because the grace Of god is there for. You,

See god knew in The phesias chapter, four what in

treated chapter two where you were you ain't know that against.

You paul worked to the people work of emphasis in chapter.

One he, said but your destiny is. Great you, know

you got every spiritual blessings in heavenly. Places but you

fail your prayer time you Fail matthew six and thirty.

Three that's where you fail at because the ways of

the world in and that exepplement and all that, stuff

you let it train. You you, know you want it

to recognize, you want And god it to recognize. You

so when you, fail you don't look at, nobody look at.

Yourself you, know don't blame nobody. Else be be. Yourself

you you the. One it's, You, Amen nobody anybody trying

to say nothing about. You i'm just saying when you

was talking about The feasian, four and you were saying

something in The feasian, for what was that you were

seeing something early in the feasing for you were saying

something in The feasians.

Four in the twenty ninth, First i've the twenty Nine

seasians four and twenty, nine twenty, nine four and twenty.

Nine AND i WAS i was scowling over that and

looking at. It And i'm always kind of you, Know

i'm a. Person i'm always looking at this. Stuff you

just can't tell me. NOTHING i don't look into. It

you can put all the scriptures in The, bible BUT

i ain't looking at your quote discrib looking at your,

heart how you carry. Yourself The bible says in at

twenty ninety say you must let what know what unwholesome?

Words now everybody know what unwholesome. Is you, know not

fit the, bull you know for the like and of

what The kingdom Of god want to come out of your.

Mouth wholesome words come out of your, Mouth but only

what is what beneficial for. Building see words tear you

down and words make. You this is why you got

to be careful who you hang. Around spirits move in

certain w to denounce the gift that's in. You not

a lot of y'all get upset about this, sometime your,

mother your, sister Your but if they not recognize that

the gift in your family, members if you're not around

a person that can edify your, gift Then god, said

that's some things you need to just cut. Up and

it's not abandoning. Them it's not saying you don't like.

Them you gotta disconnect from that because that's what you

connected to is constantly draining. You every time you go

around a certain, family group of, person they want to

they envy, You they look at, you but they don't

like they want to be above. You but it ain't

got nothing to be in above because what's in your

heart is greater than what's on the. Outside i'm not

trying to perfect the being around you because of What i'm,

doing WHAT i, have WHAT i. Own you can drive

a whole call out if you want. To you can

have all the homes on the, block But god is

not looking at that. Can WHEN i go back and

think about the world Of. God Oh, lord have mercy

in the name Of. Jesus god, said you can't take

nothing with. You That's neckadi is you? Come And neckard

is you in your? Goal what do you think is

gonna enter into The kingdom Of? God your flush of your?

Soul That bob, said you got to give account for

every outo deed in every other. World and what we

got up right now with The internet and all this

SPACE x stuff that's going, on and people are acting

crazy and all. That people are more in the midst of.

Influence you got these people that's so, called These facebook,

influences all, RIGHT i mean, whatever that's.

It that is an excellent point when.

You look at them and you see how a lot

of them dying out that they found that other one

in the house. DEAD i, MEAN i, mean see when

you tell the truth to somebody by some see people.

Entertainment and that's the biggest thing that we got going

on in nobody cross that they want. ENTERTAINMENT a lot

of these places you go into is no more miror

than something just another. Concept there's no conviction going. On

people get upset and mad at. You we can tell

them don't walk around with your chest hanging, out don't

run around with your with your pants up up if you,

know on the back part of, you you, know and

all that stuff and how you're supposed to look At

bozenda as a lady in the. Man they don't like. That,

Now mighty gonna tell me what what? What? What? What

we'll go to? Hell then you know, that you mean you,

know because you can't go both. Ways you see people

scowling across the. Ending that's trying to find something to

make them feel. Good the reason a person can never

stay in the thing that you. Speak when you speaking the,

truth they'll. Flee see the devil loves, darkness but Light

now people run from. Light. Now they don't want to

know the. Truth they don't want to be set. FREE

i want to do the worldly THINGS i like to.

DO i want to do my list stuff behind closed,

doors and then not on. That WHEN i do, it

THEN i want to come back and point my finger

at you and tell you that you ain't no good

BECAUSE i never examined. Myself you be. Realistic but you

start telling them that's why they want the Stone, jesus

that's why they wanted to matter of. Fact that's why
