before time had a name. There was a garden, a
-
place where heaven and earth walked as one. This
-
is the Echoes of Eden where we rediscover ancient
-
roots and awaken to our eternal purpose. Well,
-
hey guys and welcome back to week two of the
-
revelation of Christ in all This week we're gonna
-
dive a little bit more into the concept before
-
Adam found in Christ I believe I said this last
-
week and it bears repeating Any time I get the
-
opportunity to share this and the truth is this
-
You were found and discovered in Christ long
-
before you were lost in Adam Listen guys, the
-
truth is the cross was not plan B It was not
-
a backup plan for the Trinity when Adam fell
-
it did not leave the Trinity biting their nails
-
pacing back and forth Scratching their heads
-
trying to figure out what do we do now? No This
-
was in the original design all along Listen to
-
Trinity knew we'd mess it up They knew this we
-
would mess it up. You're gonna mess it up get
-
it wrong all this but here's the cheers the truth
-
None of it hinges on you. Now, let that settle.
-
You wrestle with that if you have issues with
-
that. But none of this hinges on you. This is
-
about accepting and living from the finished
-
work of the cross, the finished work of Christ.
-
I find it funny, I've been told before that I
-
put little value on the cross. And the truth
-
of the matter is, I put extreme value on the
-
cross. I actually believe that the cross did
-
what it was intended to do and that when Jesus
-
hung on the cross and said and declared, it is
-
finished, I personally believe he meant that.
-
And there's nothing left for us to complete.
-
we now get the opportunity to live from and rest
-
in the finished work of Christ advancing the
-
kingdom of heaven here on earth as it is in heaven
-
we get to walk around and engage with humanity
-
we engage with creation and release heaven from
-
within us because the kingdom of heaven is within
-
us christ is in you Colossians I believe it says
-
the hope of glory you have the answer for the
-
world around you Man, that's powerful if you
-
think about it. Well, so last week we established
-
some important things And so we'll go over those
-
just a little bit not to go back in and teach
-
the whole thing But just as a refresher from
-
last week, I know you can go back and watch the
-
video but Let me start with this and I opened
-
up with this last week. The journey is not about
-
dishonoring what came before. In no way shape
-
or form is what I am doing or teaching meant
-
to attack people. I do, however, intend on attacking
-
a religious system, a mindset. That is my aim.
-
To tear down the old Adamic mindset, the religious
-
system that keeps keeps people on the treadmill
-
of life. So, again, it's not about dishonoring
-
what came before. I value people. I personally,
-
wholeheartedly believe that the pastors and leaders
-
that I had in my life are good people. They love
-
people. They love God. It has nothing to do with
-
attacking people. Very well respected people.
-
I would not be where I'm at today without them
-
in my life, in the moment that they were in my
-
life. It's not about dishonoring what came before,
-
not about dishonoring people. It is about growing
-
into what was always intended. So today we're
-
going to take another step deeper, not by speculation,
-
but by scripture. And let me say this clearly,
-
if what we're about to explore feels unsettling
-
for you, that does not mean that it's wrong.
-
I want you to hear that. Often it means it's
-
challenging a foundation that was never meant
-
to stay shallow. I want you to consider when
-
Jesus spoke with the Pharisees. Go read Matthew,
-
Mark, Luke, John and watch the interaction that
-
Jesus has with the Pharisees. And remember this,
-
the Pharisees were the religious scholars of
-
this day. They knew the scriptures. I want you,
-
I want to, let me read this to you, because I
-
think this is powerful. In John 5, 39 through
-
40, it says this, you are busy analyzing scriptures,
-
pouring over them. He's talking to the Pharisees.
-
It says you just speaking to the Pharisees. You
-
were busy analyzing scriptures, pouring over
-
them, hoping to gain eternal life. Everything
-
you read points to me. Yet you still refuse to
-
come to me so that I can give you the life you're
-
looking for, eternal life. Think about what that's
-
saying, my friend. That's John 5, 39 through
-
40. He came to challenge the mindset. Look at
-
the life of Paul before he was Paul. He was Saul,
-
one of the greatest Pharisees there were. He
-
knew the law. He was very passionate about defending
-
what it was that he believed scripture said even
-
if that meant killing followers of Christ Now
-
think about that think really don't check your
-
brain at the door take a step back if you have
-
to pause this video take a step back sit with
-
Holy Spirit and Think about what's being said
-
with that? Paul Pharisee, what Saul at the time,
-
Pharisee of Pharisees. Very passionate about
-
defending the scripture, so much so that he was
-
willing to kill followers of Christ. Think about
-
this concept. Moving on, because I can't spend
-
time there. Here's the story that most of us
-
were taught, if you... at least if you're in
-
the area that I'm in, growing up in the Bible
-
Belt type situations, growing up in the western
-
church world. This is kind of how the story went
-
for, I would say most of us, is you have in Genesis
-
God creating humanity, then you have Adam and
-
Eve falling because they took a bite of fruit.
-
And then after that everything falls apart everything
-
breaks everything is screwed up There's separation
-
in play all of this and God is scrambling to
-
fix the mess Now take it take a step back here
-
for just a moment Everything breaks We believe
-
that at that moment That separation enters the
-
picture and man is separated from God But if
-
you believe and I'd have to go back and look
-
at it To find it, you can use Google, you'll
-
find it. But there's a scripture that says, no,
-
you were alienated in your minds. If you go all
-
the way back to Genesis and look, even after
-
the fall, God, Trinity, still shows up for the
-
walk with Adam and Eve. It was not Adam, it was
-
not God who moved, it was Adam who forgot who
-
he. was. They forgot how good Abba was. Man.
-
So God creates humanity, Adam falls, everything
-
breaks, God's scrambling to fix the mess, and
-
then Jesus comes on the scene to repair what
-
Adam has ruined. But when we slow down and read
-
scripture carefully, that storyline does not
-
hold up. Because scripture tells us something
-
shocking that Union came before the fall Yes,
-
that's exactly what I said your union and inclusion
-
with Christ Came before the fall of man. This
-
is why I say and declare You were found in Christ
-
long before you were lost in Adam the lamb slain
-
before the foundation That's in revelations revelation.
-
Let me clarify that Revelation tells us it's
-
in chapter 13 verse 8. I believe that the lamb
-
was slain from the foundation of the world Now
-
think about it Not slain after sin He's not slain
-
because of Adam but slain before the foundation
-
of the world Slain before creation's foundation.
-
Before the things that you see outside existed.
-
Before the world existed. I know that's hard
-
to even fathom the world not existing. That the
-
trees and the oceans and the rivers and the lands
-
not existing. But before all of that existed.
-
The lamb was slain Do you catch it Before the
-
foundation Of the cosmos the lamb had already
-
been slain Many many many times if not every
-
time things happen in the spiritual before we
-
ever see him in the natural realm. The lamb was
-
slain before the foundation of the world, yet
-
we do not see the lamb slain until Jesus comes
-
on the scene. The word who is made flesh. This
-
means that the cross was not God's reaction.
-
This means that redemption was not improvised.
-
This means that Jesus did not enter history as
-
plan B. No, the cross reveals the eternal heart
-
of God, not his emergency response. I was actually
-
reading before I started hitting record here
-
in 2 Corinthians chapter 5 verse 19. I want to
-
read this actually from the mirror translation.
-
It says Jesus did not act independently of his
-
father God was present in Christ When they reconciled
-
the total cosmos to themselves Deity and humanity
-
embraced God's act of reconciliation takes every
-
other conclusion out of the equation. No amount
-
of trespasses can match God's evaluation of the
-
human race. Redeemed friendship is now announced
-
from within us. Listen, the cross did not change
-
God's mind. No, the cross revealed the Father's
-
heart. towards us, towards you. It wasn't about,
-
Jesus did not come on the scene to try to change
-
his father's mind. This is not, as Damon Thompson
-
says, this is not a good cop, bad cop. I was
-
taught things like God can't look on sin. I was
-
taught things like Jesus came, how would I want
-
to say that? God can't look on sin. Jesus was
-
on the cross and when he saw that we go what
-
thank you, Holy Spirit When Jesus is on the cross
-
and he says my God my God why have you forsaken
-
me that that was in that moment? God had turned
-
his back on his father and To believe that is
-
to believe that somehow the Trinity has turned
-
on itself But this right here 2nd Corinthians
-
5 19 says a different story that God was inside
-
of Christ, reconciling the entire world back
-
to himself. The passion says it this way. In
-
other words, it was through the anointed one
-
that God was shepherding the world, not even
-
keeping records of their transgressions. He's
-
not even keeping record of transgression. He's
-
not counting your sins against you. This is the
-
moment. This is the moment that the heart of
-
the father is being as being revealed to you
-
and I sons and daughters It's it's the Trinity
-
essentially saying yes to our punishment We were
-
the ones saying crucify Crucify crucify And it
-
was the truth that it was the Trinity who was
-
surrendering and submitting themselves to death,
-
yes, even death on a cross. Basically declaring
-
this, if this is the place we have to go to redeem
-
you, then that's what we'll do. Jesus operating
-
with the Father and with the Holy Spirit, redeeming
-
you and I. Putting into action what happened
-
What thousands of years before when it says that
-
the lamb was slain before the foundation? It
-
already happened Ephesians tells us this This
-
is the Ephesians chapter 1 verse 4 says he chose
-
us in him before the foundation of the world
-
You know what that means before sin before failure,
-
before you believed or did not believe, before
-
your obedience and before your disobedience.
-
Ephesians 1 -4, he chose you in Christ before
-
the foundations of the world. Let me just go
-
ahead and turn there and let me pull that scripture
-
up because I think it's important just to go
-
start with Ephesians chapter 1. Bear with me.
Ephesians 1 chapter mention
-
I'm not using my phone at the moment because
-
I'm recording with my phone, so that doesn't
-
work that way. Ephesians chapter one. Catch this.
-
I'm going to start at verse three. It says, every
-
spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has
-
already been lavished upon us as a love gift
-
from our wonderful heavenly father, the father
-
of our Lord Jesus, all because he sees us wrapped
-
into Christ. This is why we celebrate him with
-
all of our hearts and in love he chose us before
-
he laid the foundation of the universe because
-
of his great love verse five uh nope still verse
-
four because of his great love he ordained us
-
so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes
-
with unstained innocence Before he laid the foundation
-
of the universe, he already chose you. Why do
-
I believe that Christ is in all? Right here is
-
a perfect example. Because my friend, this was
-
written before you were ever even considered,
-
before your grandparents were even considered
-
and thought about. You were in the heart of God.
-
You were on the mind of Papa. You were chosen
-
in Christ long before the foundation of the world
-
was even laid. Before sin, failure, before you
-
believed or you didn't believe, before you obeyed
-
or disobeyed, before you felt like you got it
-
all right or you screwed it all up, before any
-
of that, you were chosen in Christ. Humanity
-
already found in Christ. This tells us something
-
very crucial. Crucial, Adam did not define humanity.
-
Listen my friend, I don't care what you've been
-
told by religion, Adam is not your origin. He
-
is not your starting point. No, Adam did not
-
get to define humanity, Christ already defines
-
you. Christ is your starting point. In John chapter
-
three, when Jesus is having a conversation with
-
Nicodemus and he says, you must be born again.
-
That's a horrible translation, but Nicodemus
-
is trying to figure out, what do you mean by
-
this? I cannot crawl back in my mother. No, Jesus
-
says, you are a great teacher and you don't even
-
understand this, that you must be born from above.
-
Go study the original language. It is not about
-
a rebirth. He is telling Nicodemus, you need
-
to wake up my friend and understand you may have
-
come through your mom and dad, but you did not
-
come from them. No, you existed in Christ, Ephesians
-
1. You existed in Christ long before the foundation
-
of the world. You existed in the Trinity. You
-
were found in Christ long before you were lost.
-
Inside of Adam and my friend you were born from
-
the Trinity you were born from heaven Whoo Adam
-
was never meant to be the center of the story
-
and for some odd reason in our part of the world
-
in the western part of the church It feels like
-
to me that we have more faith in what Adam did
-
than what Christ did we have more faith in what
-
that's the fall of Adam than the Restoration
-
of what Christ performed and completed That makes
-
zero sense and for a long time. I believe the
-
same kind of way I taught the same kind of religious
-
BS And that's the nicest way I can put that So
-
I get it. I was there. I taught this nonsense
-
I taught teenagers and young people that when
-
Jesus was on the cross and said my god my god
-
Why have you forsaken me that it was in that
-
moment? The father had to turn his back on his
-
son Because he could not look at him and my friend
-
I'm telling you this I would not turn my back
-
on my son, so either I'm a better dad than he
-
is, or we have him wrong. And I will choose option
-
B for that, because I know that he is far better
-
than I am. My God. I taught this nonsense. I
-
know what it is to deal with these thoughts and
-
to have this wrestling match. The stuff that
-
I am believing and declaring today, I wrestled
-
for two to three years in silence. Because I
-
knew the things that were lit listen, I'm not
-
talking about people I'm talking about a religious
-
mindset That trained most of the church in the
-
West it's still being proclaimed in most churches
-
today If we can only if we could only stare at
-
the Christ Allow him I can remember I don't think
-
I said this last week it bears it bears if I
-
did it bears repeating I don't really care. I
-
remember hearing a very A very respected pastor
-
at the time No, he's still respected pastor In
-
my life. He was ministering on something and
-
I was I was listening and at this time I was
-
learning something different by way of Holy Spirit
-
And so what he was, as he was preaching, I began
-
to have a different conversation. I said, Holy
-
Spirit, why do you allow stuff like this to continuously
-
be taught? And he said, son, it's all about the
-
lens. And I said, do tell and do explain. And
-
what he gave me a picture of, and I wish I had
-
them, I don't know where they're at in my office
-
right now. But what he gave me a picture of is
-
something I used as a kid I can remember these
-
little paper glasses that had red tinted lens
-
I can remember them being red and blue and He
-
said son he said if you put those on and look
-
and everything is red Are you wrong in what you
-
see and that answer for me was no he said they're
-
not wrong He said but let me adjust your lens
-
He said they just need a lens adjustment he said
-
be willing to allow me to adjust your lens and
-
see through my perspective and i'm telling you
-
this has changed everything for me i know the
-
things i'm called people comment on my facebook
-
stuff and say all kinds of nice gives me the
-
warm and fuzzies inside i don't care i cannot
-
be shaken from this this This is the revelation
-
the Holy Spirit has given to me. Man can't shake
-
it. Call me what you will. They said the same
-
things about my Jesus. They said the same things
-
about the Christ. The fall did not create separation
-
in God. See, I'm ahead of myself. I should just
-
go through my notes because I'll get there in
-
a minute. Here's where many misunderstand the
-
fall. Because the fall did not create separation
-
in God's heart. It created separation in humanity's
-
perception God didn't in no way shape or form
-
did God move away for human from humanity Remember
-
go back to the garden when the fall happened
-
Who was hiding in that moment and who was looking
-
for somebody? Not because he lost Adam but because
-
Adam lost Adam. It was not God hiding. It was
-
not God coming in with the whip or a stick to
-
beat Adam. It was them. It was Trinity, Father,
-
Son, and Spirit showing up for the walk to continually
-
walk with Adam. It was Adam who was hiding from
-
God. It was humanity hiding from God. Humanity
-
still today hides from God. The distance was
-
not G - Excuse me, if I could read my own stuff.
-
The distance was not geographical. There we go.
-
The distance was not geographical. It was relational
-
and perceptual, which means this. Separation
-
was never ontological, which is about being.
-
It was experiential, which is about awareness.
-
Separation was never the truth of who you are.
-
It was what you became aware of. God remained
-
present. If you don't believe me, track through
-
the lineage of Adam and get to Enoch because
-
Enoch refused to participate in Adam's delusion.
-
That's why scripture says Enoch walked with God.
-
Enoch was and then was not. Enoch figured out
-
something. Enoch refused to participate in Adam's
-
delusion. He was going to walk with God. And
-
that's before the cross, my friend. So God remains
-
present consistently. Even today, when we screw
-
it up, He is still present. He's still holding
-
up His end of the bargain. He still has the same
-
thoughts about you. His thoughts never change
-
about you. Humanity is the one that became blind.
-
And as Colossians says, we became alienated.
-
in our own minds. Think about the cross. When
-
Jesus declares and cries out on the cross that
-
it is finished. He is not saying that it's now
-
available. He is not saying that it's accessible
-
if you qualify and meet these standards He is
-
not standing outside of a roller coaster saying
-
if you meet this height requirement Then you
-
can be on board heat and he's not saying that
-
it will be applied when you believe no he is
-
declaring completion Complete and utter completion
-
it is finished, not it is possible. He said it
-
is finished. The Greek word speaks of this. It
-
speaks of fulfillment. It speaks of completion.
-
It speaks of bringing to its intended end. Jesus
-
did not open a door and wait to see who walks
-
through. He ended something. And what did he
-
end, my friend? He ended the complete separation.
-
He ended the separation that you were experiencing.
-
He ended the power of death. He ended the power
-
of sin. He crucified the Adam on the cross. This
-
is why scripture tells you that you have been
-
co -crucified with Christ. You were co -crucified,
-
co -buried. co -resurrected, you co -ascended
-
and now you are co -glorified and co -seated
-
with Christ in heavenly places. You my friend
-
right now are seated at the right hand of the
-
Father in Christ. It is now sitting at the right
-
hand of the Father is the Son of Man. Do we grab
-
hold of what this means? How can we even fathom
-
what he is saying in this moment? That it's finished.
-
This is the part I actually believe. You know
-
what, let me back up and say this. This is the
-
part that I'm actually beginning to believe.
-
Because I don't know that I actually have it
-
believed fully yet. Because there's a lot of
-
stuff that I am still having to unlearn and allow
-
Holy Spirit to Give me more of them I want said
-
this way give me more of the mind of Christ and
-
allow me to see things through the perspective
-
of Papa So this is the part I'm coming more more
-
to believe that he actually meant what he said
-
when he said it is finished quit resurrecting
-
Listen, I know we want to talk about crucifying
-
ourselves daily, dying daily. Listen, you were
-
co -crucified on the cross with Christ. Stop
-
resurrecting a dead man. When Paul was talking
-
about dying daily, he was not trying to tell
-
you and I to crucify our flesh every single day.
-
No, he was telling people in that moment, hey
-
listen, I face death every single day. Paul was
-
literally saying that he faces the possibility
-
of death every day, not trying to tell you and
-
I to keep crucifying a nature that was already
-
crucified with Christ. That's a mouthful, I know.
-
But think about this. Think about this revelation,
-
that it is finished. So why does this matter
-
for identity? If humanity... Was in Christ before
-
the fall then salvation was never about reattachment
-
It's about revelation You were not restored into
-
Christ you were revealed in Christ Sin did not
-
remove Christ from humanity. It obscured humanity's
-
awareness of Christ and my friend this revelation
-
changes everything what see this is why and i'll
-
do some teaching on some of these different words
-
later on but this is why we have to understand
-
that sin is a distorted identity i wrote a devotional
-
before about the topic of sin and if you'd have
-
asked me probably let's see if you were probably
-
asked me five or six years ago what sin was i
-
would have probably named off sin things such
-
as you know lying sex before marriage, murder,
-
all those kind of things. I would have listed
-
these things. Until Holy Spirit revealed to me,
-
no son, that's not sin. That's the fruit of sin.
-
Sin is the word ha martia, and it literally means
-
if you study it out without form, without the
-
intended blueprint, without the original design.
-
It's an identity. It's a distorted identity.
-
That's why if you keep telling people that they're
-
sinners, they're going, listen, I may have said
-
this last week, and I will say this probably
-
many more times, behavior follows identity. So
-
if you continually call people sinners, behavior
-
will follow that identity. It's a distorted identity.
-
It's not the truth of who you are, which means
-
if they believe that they're a sinner, the fruit
-
that will follow is the things that we deem as
-
sin. But the sin is the distorted identity that
-
we have to correct by partnering with Holy Spirit
-
and revealing them as a son or daughter of Yahweh.
-
I really hope this makes sense. I really hope
-
this makes sense. This changes everything. You
-
are revealed in Christ. What is the Holy Spirit
-
here to do is to unveil who you are. How do you
-
discover who you are? You stare into the eyes
-
of Jesus. You will not find who you are created
-
to be looking anywhere else but into the eyes
-
of Yeshua. You stare into those eyes and understand
-
that that is your mirror image and you are His.
-
You stare into those eyes. You become fascinated
-
with Him and the more you become fascinated with
-
Him, the more you begin to understand who you
-
are. That you, my friend, listening to this right
-
now, you are holy. You are righteous. You are
-
forgiven. You are redeemed. You are perfect.
-
You are whole. You are complete. You are restored.
-
You are loved beyond measure. In fact, the Gospel
-
of John says you are loved with the same nature
-
and measure that the Father has for the Son,
-
Jesus. That's how much you're loved. Yeah, but
-
you don't have no more buts You are loved in
-
the same way that the father loves the son And
-
I don't believe that yet I Don't know that I've
-
I Don't know that I've met anybody who believes
-
that yet I Can understand why he loves Jesus
-
but to say that he loves me with the same passionate
-
love that he has for his son You want to know
-
who you are? You're revealed in Christ. Christ
-
changed everything. The cross changed and completed
-
it all. Here's the danger. Here's the danger
-
of making Adam greater than Christ if Adam's
-
failure affected all people and I think again
-
think about what this is saying stop check checking
-
your brain at the door if Adam's failure affected
-
all people but Christ's obedience only affects
-
some Then Adam had more influence than Jesus.
-
We put more emphasis on Adam who ate a piece
-
of fruit than what we put on the Christ who went
-
through all he went through for and as you and
-
I. This is simply Not the gospel Paul repeatedly
-
says how much more Grace does not struggle to
-
keep up with sin grace overwhelms it We'll talk
-
more next week about You know one man affected
-
all how much more Christ We'll discuss that very
-
idea, how much more. You see, the gospel is not
-
you were separated and now you might be reunited.
-
No, the gospel is you were always included and
-
now you're being awakened. I feel a burning in
-
my spirit when I talk like this. When I'm revealing
-
this that it's like electricity runs through
-
me I can't explain it But like life surges through
-
me This is not the stuff that I was taught you
-
were always included Listen my friend wherever
-
you're at Papa never Never changes his mind about
-
you He never has a negative thought toward you
-
He always sees you as son or daughter He always
-
sees you with the eyes of love with the eyes
-
that burn like fire And my friend he's coming
-
to you to burn out everything in you that does
-
not resemble him The cross does not create union
-
It reveals union and the resurrection declares
-
what was true before Adam Is now unmistakably
-
true in Christ All because of Christ All because
-
of Christ You are who you are because of Christ
-
I Want to declare this declare with me You are
-
not an afterthought You may be an afterthought
-
for some people But in the heart of Papa you
-
were not an afterthought You are chosen in Christ
-
The fall does not get to define you anymore Adam
-
is not your starting point. You do not have a
-
sin nature You have a divine nature inside of
-
you Christ is the one who is able and gets full
-
privilege to define Who you are from this day
-
forward? You are awakening to what has always
-
been true. Holy Spirit is unveiling the Christ
-
within you so that you can unveil the Christ
-
in someone else. I hope this is helping you.
-
I hope this is helping. I really do. And that
-
you maybe will begin to even more so understand
-
that Christ is in every single person you meet.
-
Many just don't know it yet, but they will if
-
we as sons and daughters would light it up and
-
call it out. Be blessed, my friends. Until next
-
time.
