  1. Welcome to the Kingdom Family Podcast, where

  2. we rediscover our identity as sons and daughters

  3. of Yahweh and learn to live the life of the Kingdom.

  4. Let's jump in to today's episode. Welcome back.

  5. We are on, I believe this is week 12, maybe,

  6. of rethinking the end times. We are coming to

  7. an end to this. And just a reminder for... all

  8. of my listeners that once this series ends in

  9. the month of July and August we are going to

  10. take a break. That will give me a couple months

  11. to do some recording and stuff and kind of play

  12. a catch -up game to where I can be ahead on future

  13. things and hopefully not have to take any more

  14. months off but can just continue on with uploads

  15. of... whatever I feel Holy Spirit lay on my heart

  16. and how to move forward with that. So again,

  17. I know we're good this week. I know at least

  18. have one more week in this and I gotta go looking

  19. forward at my notes to see what else is here.

  20. But I know for certain July and August, there

  21. will be no more new episodes for those two months.

  22. And like I said, hopefully that'd be the last

  23. time we do that kind of break. We'll just transition

  24. seasons. as we go moving forward. But this week

  25. I'm excited. We get to talk about the new heaven

  26. and the new earth idea. This whole thing has

  27. been fun for me to teach. Again, there's so much.

  28. You can go so deep inside of this and I hope

  29. if this interests you and you want to learn more,

  30. you know, go study for yourself. Go sit with

  31. Holy Spirit. Look at some different material.

  32. Go study some of these ideas for yourself. I've

  33. studied this to a point enough to where um This

  34. is what I believe as far as end times are concerned.

  35. I do not believe that we're in the last days

  36. I don't believe in a rapture. I don't believe

  37. in a single Antichrist rising up and Doing all

  38. this I don't believe the 666 theory. I believe

  39. every lot of this stuff is symbolism And when

  40. you have what I hope my teaching has done is

  41. given you hope for a brighter future, a brighter

  42. tomorrow and not look to doom and gloom. Again,

  43. one of my concerns in the church realm that I've

  44. grown up in is we seem to use darkness as an

  45. indication that the end is near. And my point

  46. of view, I think I said this early on is if There

  47. is darkness that simply means the light has not

  48. been turned on and my friend you and I are that

  49. light plain and simple So I want you to understand

  50. today that the new heaven and earth in revelation

  51. is not about god destroying creation But renewing

  52. it bringing restoration healing in god's presence

  53. fully Among his people and as i've done in some

  54. of the previous episodes. I want you to just

  55. take a minute and think that when you think about

  56. the end of the world what comes to your mind

  57. what emotions begin to rise up inside of you

  58. um a lot of people talk about destruction chaos

  59. fear judgment that kind of thing um and many

  60. people assume the bible ends with destruction

  61. or something but revelation does not end with

  62. destruction it ends with restoration so i want

  63. us to really consider what does the new heaven

  64. and new earth mean and so i want to read to you

  65. from revelation chapter 21 and i'm going to read

    Revelation 21 chapter mention

  66. out of the passion and the mirror because i think

  67. it's important and in the passion translation

  68. it says then in a vision i saw a new heaven and

  69. new earth the first heaven and earth had passed

  70. away and the sea no longer existed now I want

  71. you to remember in previous seasons what we talked

  72. about sea representing. Go back and listen to

  73. some of this. That's important for you to just

  74. grab hold of. So when you hear this, this is

  75. not saying the oceans that we have no longer

  76. existed. Go back and listen. What did the sea

  77. represent? I don't want to just give you answers

  78. all the time. I want to make you go do the legwork,

  79. go study to show yourself approved. Habakkuk

  80. is a really important verse to me. It says, my

  81. people perish for lack of knowledge. What you

  82. don't understand, well, you can misuse. It can

  83. hurt you. It can harm you. So I really encourage

  84. people to do their own research, go do your own

  85. studying. I want to break this kind of man of

  86. God idea that you just come running to a pastor

  87. or someone like me, whatever, for all of your

  88. answers. Are they there to help you and to guide

  89. you and to give you wisdom? Certainly, but they're

  90. not God Okay, and I want to number one I want

  91. to help pastors and leaders understand and take

  92. that that burden off of them That you as a child

  93. of God can hear from heaven on your own What

  94. we should be doing is simply confirming that

  95. what you're hearing. So again go look up if you

  96. don't remember what the sea is go look it up

  97. what did it symbolize what did it mean and then

  98. out of the mirror translation it says then i

  99. saw a new heaven and a new earth for the age

  100. of the previous heaven and earth had passed away

  101. also the sea was no longer present now i want

  102. to go from there and now i want to go back to

  103. reading isaiah chapter 65 because this is isaiah

    Isaiah 65 chapter mention

  104. 65 talks about the new heaven and new earth hang

  105. with me for a little bit because we're gonna

  106. go from about verse 17 to verse 25 so just hang

  107. with me and it says look I am creating entirely

  108. new heavens and a new earth they will be so wonderful

  109. that no one will even think about the old ones

  110. anymore as you wait for the reality of what I

  111. am creating be filled with joy and an ending

  112. gladness look I am ready to create Jerusalem

  113. as a source of sheer joy and her people in absolute

  114. delight I will rejoice in this new Jerusalem

  115. and find great delight in my people. You will

  116. no longer hear the sound of weeping or cries

  117. of distress. No baby will die in infancy there

  118. and everyone will live out their full lifespan.

  119. Now catch this because this means this is not

  120. like heaven, eternal heaven, because they're

  121. still dying here. For when centurions die, centurions

  122. a hundred years old, they will be considered

  123. youngsters. and anyone who dies earlier will

  124. be considered of no account. People will build

  125. their own houses to live in and they will not

  126. be taken over by someone else. They will plant

  127. their own vineyards to enjoy and they will not

  128. be confiscated by someone else. They will live

  129. long lives like age -old trees and my chosen

  130. ones will enjoy to the fullest the work of their

  131. hands throughout their lives. So the implication

  132. of these two verses is that foreign invaders

  133. will not overtake the land. and go back and just

  134. just let's think about this don't shake your

  135. brain at the door what are foreign invaders this

  136. is not people from foreign countries this is

  137. not muslims this is not uh democrats this is

  138. not what that means at all what are the foreign

  139. invaders for you and i could it be things such

  140. as sickness disease cancer diabetes heart issues

  141. could it be shame guilt, anxiety, depression.

  142. Could it be those things are foreign invaders

  143. for us as sons and daughters of the king? It's

  144. important for us to grab hold of. So it's saying,

  145. again, the implications Dr. Simmons put in here,

  146. these two verses is that foreign invaders will

  147. not overtake the land. Anxiety is not going to

  148. overtake the land. Sickness is not going to overtake

  149. the land. It's good news if you hear it right.

  150. Moving on to verse 23, they will neither work

  151. in vain for someone else nor will their children

  152. face disaster, for they will be children and

  153. grandchildren who are blessed by Yahweh. Before

  154. they even call out to me, I will answer them.

  155. Before they finish telling me what they need,

  156. I will have already heard. The wolf now catch

  157. this the wolf and the lamb will graze side by

  158. side And the lion will eat straw like the ox

  159. and the serpent's food will be dust There will

  160. be neither violence nor murder or money on my

  161. entire holy mountain of Zion says Yahweh now

  162. if you take a wolf and a lamb Grazing side by

  163. side which one of the two had to change Think

  164. about this. It's important to understand Now

  165. I want to go back And look at the definition

  166. and the meaning of the word new Because in the

  167. Greek you have two words for new you have neos

  168. and you have Kinos Kinos is the word that's being

  169. used in this this intersection And so let me

  170. talk about that for just a minute because new

  171. does not always mean brand new replacement It

  172. often means renewed restored or made fresh think

  173. of a renovated house as the same structure, just

  174. restore beauty. So it's important for us to understand

  175. that God does not abandon creation, he restores

  176. it, just like humanity. He didn't abandon humanity,

  177. no, he restored us to the original design. And

  178. he actually completed that when he hung on the

  179. cross and he declared it is finished. And that's

  180. a very important shift for us to make. So let's

  181. look at Kinos, this is new in quality, nature,

  182. kind, or character. It is something that is renewed,

  183. transformed, or unprecedented. It is different

  184. than Neos. Neos would mean something different.

  185. Neos would be the idea of a new car replacing

  186. an old car. Kinos would be a car completely transformed

  187. into something that it never was before. And

  188. that's just important for us to grab hold of

  189. those two definitions. Again, neo -sincanos if

  190. you want to learn more go study some of these

  191. words for yourself and understand how our we've

  192. translated the two different words into the same

  193. english word but they mean two different things

  194. so you have to do your own study and your own

  195. research So having understood the word new, we

  196. can understand why many scholars argue that John

  197. in Revelation 21 is not describing God throwing

  198. away creation and starting over, but it's creation

  199. being renewed, transformed, and brought into

  200. its intended fullness. Remember, Romans 8 -22.

  201. The Earth is groaning and travailing for the

  202. manifestation of the sons and daughters of Yahweh.

  203. So what is the Earth asking for it? The Earth

  204. is asking for you and I, I'm wearing this shirt,

  205. I don't know if you can see it, Creation Groans,

  206. for those that's watching the YouTube channel,

  207. which I've got to do a lot of work on that. But

  208. I'm wearing the shirt that says Creation Groans.

  209. but Romans 8 22 tells you what the earth is growing

  210. for and the earth is waiting for you and i to

  211. figure out who we are inside of christ and begin

  212. to speak and declare back to creation who she

  213. is to release her from the futility of the fall

  214. of man john does not use neo's heaven and earth

  215. he uses kynos heaven and earth So the emphasis

  216. isn't on replacement, but transformation. God

  217. is not abandoning his creation, he is renewing

  218. it. So the story of scripture ends not with evacuation,

  219. but it ends with restoration. All right, so let's

  220. look at a couple ways that this word is used

  221. in other places, this kinos word. You can find

  222. it in 2 Corinthians 5 .17 says, now if anyone

  223. is enfolded into Christ, He has become an entirely

  224. new person. That's the word kinos again. All

  225. that is related to the old order has vanished.

  226. Behold, everything is fresh and new. Dr. Simmons

  227. puts it in here. This would include our old identity,

  228. our life of sin, and the power of Satan, the

  229. religious works of trying to please God, our

  230. old relationship with the world, and our old

  231. mindsets. We are not reformed or simply refurbished.

  232. We are made completely new by our union with

  233. Christ in the indwelling of the Holy Spirit That's

  234. important for us to get together I'm gonna read

  235. the same verse out of the mirror says now in

  236. the light of your co -inclusion in his death

  237. and resurrection Whoever you thought you were

  238. before in Christ You are a brand new person the

  239. old ways of seeing yourself and everyone else

  240. are over acquaint yourself with the new. And

  241. François de Troyes helps us understand that the

  242. if here in 2nd Corinthians 517 some verses say

  243. therefore if anyone is in Christ, it's not a

  244. conditional statement. This is the conclusion

  245. of the revelation of the gospel. Mankind is in

  246. Christ all by God's doing. By using the therefore

  247. if immediately includes verses 14 through 16.

  248. If God's faith sees everyone in Christ and His

  249. death, then they were certainly also in Christ

  250. and His resurrection. Again, just important stuff

  251. for us to grab hold of, not just intellectually,

  252. but experientially. Don't just get this into

  253. your minds. Allow this to become true. inside

  254. the deepest parts of who you are. Because Jesus

  255. did not reveal just a potential you, no, he revealed

  256. the truth about you so that you may know the

  257. truth about yourself and be free. Because the

  258. truth is, you are free. Christ has made you free.

  259. In the death and resurrection of Jesus, God did

  260. not redeem a compromised replica of you, no,

  261. he rescued the original blueprint you created

  262. in his radiant mirror image just like it was

  263. in Genesis. We are reconnected with our original

  264. Genesis through the resurrection of Jesus from

  265. the dead. The new birth, this new birth endorses

  266. and celebrates the hope of the ages. God's eternal

  267. love dream concludes inside of life. Man, this

  268. is good if we grab hold of it. Then we have 2nd

  269. Corinthians chapter 3 verse 6 as he alone makes

  270. us adequate ministers who are focused on an entirely

  271. new Kynos covenant. Our ministry is not based

  272. on the letter of the law but through the power

  273. of the Spirit. The letter of the law kills but

  274. the Spirit pours out life. I want you to know

  275. this was fascinating to me because I don't think

  276. you've ever heard this before but to illustrate

  277. this on the day of Moses On the day the law of

  278. Moses was given, 3 ,000 were killed. But on the

  279. day that the Spirit was poured out on Pentecost,

  280. 3 ,000 people received new life. But the important

  281. thing for us to note here is that it's not simply

  282. a recent covenant order, but a covenant of a

  283. different quality and order. So, let's see where

  284. we're at. All right, so let's look. Let's consider

  285. this. Let's consider that God dwells with humanity.

  286. Revelation 21 3 says and I heard a thunderous

  287. voice from the throne saying look God's Tabernacle

  288. is with human beings and from now on he will

  289. Tabernacle with them as their God now God himself

  290. will have his home with them God with them will

  291. be their God So I want you to go back to Genesis.

  292. In the beginning, God walked with humanity in

  293. the garden. What was this? It was close. It was

  294. relational. It was intimate, which tells you

  295. it was a nearness. And this is what sin disrupted.

  296. It did not disrupt God's love. No, it disrupted

  297. our awareness. Again, we have the responsibility

  298. to ask the question, who changed at the fall?

  299. God returns to dwell with humanity. Consider

  300. John chapter one, that the word became flesh

  301. and dwelt among us. Not far away, not unreachable,

  302. no, he's near, he's personal, he's intimate,

  303. he's present right here, right now. The gospel,

  304. my friend, is about God moving toward humanity,

  305. not away from it. And then we consider this as

  306. we talk about new heaven and new earth. Revelation

  307. 21 for says he will wipe away every tear from

  308. their eyes and eliminate death entirely No one

  309. will mourn or weep any longer the pain of wounds

  310. will no longer exist for the old order has ceased

  311. now What does it mean? There's no more death.

  312. There's no more mourning. There's no more pain

  313. Why because creation has been and is being healed

  314. Imagine my friend a world where grief ends not

  315. because we leave and do some kind of escape thing

  316. But because healing finally comes because we

  317. as sons and daughters Begin to rise up and let

  318. our light shine and release the kingdom within

  319. us to the world around us God's final act is

  320. not destruction. It's healing It's healing my

  321. friend. Look at the life of Jesus. Look at the

  322. person of Jesus. It's like Bill Johnson I believe

  323. Damon Thompson quotes it a lot But be careful

  324. of anything that you believe about God that you

  325. cannot find in the person of Jesus So what is

  326. Revelation describing it's describing a city

  327. not ruins not emptiness but a vibrant place why

  328. a city ask yourself why a city what does a city

  329. represent city would represent community culture

  330. life relationship not isolation inside the city

  331. that's where the tree of life returns water of

  332. life flows healing of nations occurs everything

  333. is restored The final picture of scripture is

  334. not escaping. No, it's flourishing life. It goes

  335. back to Romans 822. The entire universe standing

  336. on tiptoe yearning to see the unveiling of God's

  337. glory or sons and daughters. And it's interesting

  338. to note that the Greek word used for unveiling

  339. here is the same word for the full title of Revelation.

  340. The created universe is but the backdrop for

  341. the dramatic appearing of God's sons and daughters

  342. unveiled with the glory of Jesus Christ upon

  343. them, according to Dr. Simmons. He goes on to

  344. say the verb tense in the Greek text is clear

  345. that this unveiling is imminent, soon to happen,

  346. and destined to take place. Christ's glory will

  347. come to us, enter us, fill us, envelop us, and

  348. then be revealed. through us as partakers of

  349. the glory and i love this although god will not

  350. share his glory with any other we are no longer

  351. another for we are one with the father son and

  352. holy spirit through faith in christ you can look

  353. at john 17 21 through 23 on that one but why

  354. does revelation say there's no temple because

  355. god himself is present my friend you are the

  356. temple now He's not coming to dwell in buildings.

  357. No, he's coming to dwell inside of you and I

  358. That's why it's important to go back to previous

  359. lessons on this and understand that the temple

  360. was destroyed in 70 AD God is not limited to

  361. buildings. His presence feels everything no temple

  362. is needed No temple is needed When God dwells

  363. fully with his people no temple was needed he

  364. goes where you go That's good news. If you let

  365. it if you hear it, right? So our hope is not

  366. escape our hope is renewal restoration and healing

  367. and my friend I believe and declared that it's

  368. happening now What kind of future does God promise

  369. it's not fear it's not destruction no it is life

  370. The future belongs to restoration not ruin So

  371. I want you to think about these God is not abandoning

  372. creation. He's restoring it The story ends with

  373. healing not chaos God dwells with humanity forever

  374. The story of scripture does not end in destruction

  375. no it ends in restoration It does not end in

  376. fear, it ends in healing. It does not end with

  377. God leaving humanity, but with God dwelling fully

  378. among his people. The future, my friend, is not

  379. darkness. No, the future is renewal. My friend,

  380. I hope this helps you. I hope this has given

  381. you a better outlook on life, a better outlook

  382. on the future, given you hope for tomorrow. Keep

  383. diving in keep pressing in don't be afraid to

  384. challenge the status quo of the religious System

  385. we have today Don't be afraid to think for yourself.

  386. Don't be afraid to ask questions Take them to

  387. the Holy Spirit Allow the Holy Spirit to teach

  388. you to guide you and to lead you into all truth
