Amen.
-
>> God is good.
-
>> Amen. Amen.
-
I sense the presence of the Lord in the
-
house. I sense expectancy in the house.
-
And uh I'm just excited for all the Lord
-
is doing. Um got a great report from
-
Brother Pedon today. He had a great day,
-
great night last night. Was able to get
-
up, walk around, move around, do all
-
that stuff without a ton of pain. Um,
-
and even on top of that, without any
-
pain medication. So, amen. We give God
-
praise for that. It's incredible. And,
-
uh, I know God's going to raise him up
-
and get him back in this house. And I
-
just I believe that. I believe that
-
we're we're in a season of expectancy, a
-
blessing, and a power. Uh, but anytime
-
that shows up, here's what I know.
-
Here's what I really know. I know it's
-
going to be a time of spiritual warfare,
-
too. And so, we have to be keen. We have
-
to be aware. We have to be in our word.
-
We have to be in prayer and asking God
-
to guide our hearts, go guide our minds.
-
Um because anytime that there is
-
blessing coming, spiritual warfare is
-
going to be there to bring resistance so
-
it doesn't get to you because the enemy
-
doesn't want you to be blessed. It's
-
just a fact tonight. He doesn't want you
-
to be blessed. He doesn't want you to
-
walk in the favor of God. doesn't want
-
you to walk in the healing of of of his
-
power and his grace. Um, but here's what
-
you need to know. You've come to the
-
right house tonight uh with the right
-
shepherd and the right team that is
-
going to guard you and is going to pray
-
for you and is going to speak blessing
-
and power and favor over your hearts and
-
your lives. And uh we will walk in
-
victory. Amen.
-
>> I said we will walk in victory. Amen.
-
That's what we're going to do. And uh so
-
tonight I'm excited about that. I want
-
you just to find your place in the book
-
of Jude tonight. The book of Jude. Um
-
and and many times I I don't know that
-
I've necessarily taught or spoke out of
-
this uh at length. Uh but I feel tonight
-
the Holy Spirit pushing me. And we'll
-
we'll stand in just a moment to uh read
-
the few scriptures that I feel like are
-
my foundational texts for tonight. But I
-
do want to prep your heart for Sunday
-
for our day of wonders. If you've not
-
participated or been part uh of a day of
-
wonders here, I'm just telling you, you
-
are in for a treat on Sunday for how God
-
moves and how God shifts atmospheres and
-
families. Um it's going to look slightly
-
different this year than it has the last
-
couple years. Uh last couple years,
-
we've had it set up a certain way where
-
people with baskets are here to collect
-
uh your first fruits offering. And
-
here's the thing. Uh many people say,
-
"Well, pastor, I I don't have a lot to
-
give in that first fruits. It's not it
-
2025 wasn't a great year. I hear you. I
-
feel you. But God does not look at the
-
amount of money you're bringing to that.
-
>> Come on. He is looking at your heart and
-
he is seeing if you have faith to say
-
God has been good to me. But when I
-
plant this seed of my first fruits
-
offering, I am saying by faith, he might
-
have been good to me in the past, but I
-
believe he's going to be really good to
-
me in the future. Amen. And that's
-
really what this first fruit is all
-
about. It is a Old Testament obligation
-
that becomes a New Testament opportunity
-
for you and I. It's by no means a
-
requirement. Uh but here's what I'll
-
say. Every time that my family has swed
-
into first fruits, God has turned around
-
and blessed us beyond measure. And it
-
has absolutely been incredible. Um and
-
this year we we've we're still praying
-
and dialing in exactly what we feel like
-
the Lord would have us do. Um and I
-
believe that it's going to be a great
-
gift. It's going to be a sacrificial
-
gift from us, from our family, because
-
I'm not going to ask you to do something
-
I'm not willing to do myself.
-
>> If I'm if I'm gonna ask you to sew in
-
the first fruits, I I will be the first
-
person to step across that threshold and
-
drop it in the basket. Can I get an
-
amen? That that's going to be me. I'm
-
going to lead by example. But again, it
-
it Old Testament obligation now becomes
-
a New Testament opportunity for us. And
-
here's how I see it on Sunday. Just so
-
you know, you guys are my home folks and
-
I can I can just talk to you real
-
tonight. This time that we come together
-
to sew this first fruit, we're going to
-
have I'm just going to go ahead and say
-
it. We're going to have a fire tunnel
-
right in that time. Okay? And this fire
-
tunnel at that time is going to be to
-
bless you as you take that step of
-
faith. That's not going to be for us to
-
go, you know, buck wild and dance and
-
shout and all that stuff. Okay?
-
>> All right. Let me let me get it clear.
-
We'll get to that. We're gonna get to
-
that on Sunday because I believe
-
miracles are going to hit the house.
-
>> I I am expecting that. I am I am
-
intentionally making room for the Holy
-
Spirit to be able to move however he
-
wants to move in this altar. But I know
-
it's the will of God for us to step
-
across that threshold and sew our sacred
-
seed and believe that God's going to
-
just touch and minister in a powerful
-
way. So, it's going to look a little
-
different. You'll walk through a fire
-
tunnel with our pastors going to be
-
blessing you as you go by. And you're
-
going to be able to sew that in faith,
-
believing that God's going to move. And
-
when that's finished and done, then I
-
believe the Lord's going to set us up
-
for one of the most holy and sacred
-
times that's ever hit this house. If you
-
need a miracle in your family, if you
-
need a miracle in your body, if you need
-
a miracle in your finances, if you need
-
a miracle in your mind, we're going to
-
open the door and we're going to say,
-
"Now, this is the time we about to go
-
buck wild. We going to lay hands on
-
folks. We're going to anoint them with
-
oil. We going to make everybody that's
-
breathing. If you take one step into
-
this altar, it's coming in Jesus name.
-
Come on. We going to go for broke old
-
school Pentecost. I know some people
-
thinking, "What is all that about?" Come
-
Sunday and step in the river and find
-
out. And it's going to be incredible.
-
So, I want you to know the Holy Spirit's
-
given me specific instructions on how to
-
how to operate on Sunday. And I know
-
that he is going to get the glory from
-
it. And here's what's so good. each one
-
of us that come in with an expectant
-
heart. We will be a beneficiary of the
-
move of God on Sunday. So I I'm going to
-
be here. I'm going to be excited. I'm
-
going to be expectant. The question is,
-
are you going to come expecting God to
-
do something great in your life? Amen.
-
So look at your neighbor. Say, "I'm
-
coming with expectancy.
-
I am coming with expectancy."
-
>> Amen. So we'll give specific
-
instructions on Sunday on how we're
-
going to operate. We're going to go in
-
sections in order because I believe God
-
wants everything to be done decently in
-
order. But hey, after that's all said
-
and done and we open up the altar for a
-
time of just believing for miracles, I
-
don't know what it's going to look like.
-
It may look chaotic to some, but it will
-
be beautifully in order to the Lord. And
-
uh I'm I'm really believing that if you
-
have sickness in your body, you going to
-
get healed on Sunday.
-
>> I really if you know somebody's sick in
-
their body, you better get them to this
-
house. Uh because I feel that there's
-
about to be a door open in this house
-
that no man can shut.
-
>> Come on. I I can I just go ahead and
-
speak prophetically? You're getting
-
you're getting the news before the news.
-
There's a door that's about to be open
-
in this house of miracles. There ain't
-
no man, no denomination, no
-
organization, no enemy, no devil, no
-
demon, come on. No warlock will be able
-
to stop what God is about to do. It's
-
gonna flow through this house and it's
-
going to flow to this community, this
-
region, this nation, and this world. And
-
here's the thing. I just say, "Lord, I'm
-
willing. Do whatever you want to do
-
through us." And so, I believe he's
-
going to do something incredible in this
-
house. So, tonight, if you got the book
-
of Jude, say, "I got it."
-
>> I can almost guarantee you I have a
-
different translation than everybody in
-
the house tonight. So, try your best to
-
stay up with me on this, but I'm going
-
to ask you to stand to your feet. Uh
-
it's literally it's it's a sliver in the
-
Bible. It's one chapter, okay? Is is the
-
whole entire book of Jude, but we're
-
going to read about four or five verses
-
together. I want you to go down to verse
-
number three. It's right there at the
-
very beginning. And I want to I want to
-
take this is one of my bedrock texts,
-
but then I want to shift over and show
-
you where the Lord will take us. Uh Jude
-
verse number three. My version is the
-
Passion Translation, and I'm going to
-
read it like this. Dearly loved friend,
-
I was fully intending to write to you
-
about our amazing salvation we all
-
participate in, but felt the need
-
instead to challenge you to vigorously
-
defend and contend for the beliefs that
-
were ch that were ch that we cherish.
-
Now, one version will say this that you
-
earnestly contend for the faith that was
-
once delivered to you. But he said this,
-
"For God through the apostles has once
-
for all entrusted these truths to his
-
holy believers." I love how it
-
articulates that because many people say
-
that this faith that these beliefs are
-
entrusted to pastors and ministers and
-
the five-fold ministry. But he did not
-
say that. He said it's entrusted to the
-
believers. Somebody say, "That's me."
-
>> That's me.
-
>> It's entrusted to us. Now, I want you to
-
flip a page or so over. Um, or maybe
-
yours is all on the same page. It may
-
fit there if your print's small enough.
-
But go to verse number 17, if you will.
-
And let's read there through about verse
-
number 23. Says, "But you, my
-
delightfully loved friends, remember the
-
prophecies of the apostles of our Lord
-
Jesus, the anointed one. They taught you
-
in the last days there will always be
-
mockers motivated by their ungodly
-
desires." Sounds a lot like what's going
-
on what happened in Minnesota this past
-
Sunday. Can I get an amen?
-
>> These people cause divisions and are
-
followers of their own natural
-
instincts. Watch this. Devoid of the
-
life of the spirit. Woo. But you, my
-
delightfully loved friends, come on now.
-
He's talking to us. Here we go. Here's
-
the church. constantly and progressively
-
build yourselves up on the foundation of
-
your most holy faith by praying every
-
moment in the spirit.
-
Fasten your hearts to the love of God
-
and receive the mercy of our Lord Jesus
-
Christ who gives us eternal life. He
-
said, "Keep being compassionate to those
-
who still have doubts and snatch others
-
out of the fire to save them." Woo! Come
-
on. We We We got some work to do,
-
church. But he said this, "Be merciful
-
over and over to them, but always couple
-
your mercy with the fear of God." He
-
said, the writer said it like this in
-
this version, "Be extremely careful to
-
keep yourselves free from the pollutions
-
of the flesh."
-
That's that I I'm telling you, you could
-
read that. I could shut that baby say,
-
"Let's all get in the altar and let's
-
repent and say, Lord, let us do better."
-
Can I get an amen?
-
>> He lays it out pretty plain. I I want to
-
say this. I feel that the Lord is
-
bringing me down to a conclusion as far
-
as a series on thresholds. And last
-
week, we talked about the threats at the
-
threshold on Wednesday night. But this
-
week in uh in continuation of that same
-
thought, but a different vein, we talked
-
about the threats. And that's good. And
-
we've identified what the enemy desires
-
to do. But tonight, it's not going to be
-
mostly an identifying message, but
-
tonight is going to be more of a
-
recruiting message. And what does that
-
mean? That means that God is asking me
-
to come in here and recruit people that
-
are willing to be guardians of sacred
-
thresholds.
-
>> Guardians of sacred thresholds. Because
-
for where we're going, we can't just
-
look at it and say, "Well, pastor will
-
take care of that."
-
I I don't want to do it by myself.
-
>> We are better together. And the Bible
-
says if one can put a thousand to
-
flight,
-
>> if two can put 10,000 to flight, I
-
wonder what would happen if on a
-
Wednesday night we got together and we
-
said, "Lord, we're pushing in the same
-
direction." Come on. Does anybody see
-
this thing spiritually already? I
-
believe God's calling us to be
-
recruited. So tonight, I just ask you to
-
lift those hands to heaven and let's
-
pray and ask for God's help. Father, I
-
thank you. I praise you for your word,
-
Lord. That I Lord, it's already spoke to
-
us just by reading it, God. It's
-
encouraged me. And Lord, tonight, I pray
-
that you would just open your word in a
-
more deep way for us to understand. Open
-
it up for us to be able to run with this
-
thing. Uh so we don't have to hesitate.
-
We don't have to guess, but we know
-
which direction we're running in. You've
-
called us with a holy calling and you
-
placed an anointing on us. Now use us to
-
guard what you are placing that's
-
precious in our life and sacred in our
-
life. And father we'll give you praise
-
in Jesus name we pray. And everybody
-
says amen and amen. You may be seated in
-
the presence of the Lord tonight. I'm
-
going to try my best to teach a little
-
bit and maybe even uh migrate into
-
preaching a little bit if it gets to
-
that uh level tonight. But I do want us
-
to understand the importance of the
-
season that we are stepping into. This
-
is not just something that we do at the
-
beginning of every year talking about
-
where we feel like the Lord would have
-
us go. It's not uh just a ritual or a
-
routine that we take this very
-
seriously. And I I go through much
-
prayer and agony asking the Lord to make
-
sure that I have the heart of God, not
-
just for anybody, but just for our body.
-
I'm not responsible to pastor any other
-
church. I'm responsible to pastor this
-
church and lead and guide you in the way
-
the Lord would have me to lead and guide
-
you. But in that vein, my heart is every
-
year that we come together, Lord, give
-
us clear and pure direction that's not
-
defiled by man's ideas, not defiled by
-
greed, not defiled by any kind of
-
imagination or motive that may not be
-
pure, but God, give us your heart for
-
this season and where you are taking us.
-
where you're taking our families, where
-
you're taking our children, where you're
-
taking us on this journey of faith that
-
I'll be honest with you, we so
-
desperately need a fresh anointing every
-
single day on this journey of faith. But
-
if it's not in line with the will and
-
purpose of God, many times we will step
-
outside of his will trying to grasp at
-
anything. But when we hear his voice, we
-
are solidified knowing that God has
-
sacred thresholds for this church to
-
cross over in 2026. Some that you may
-
not even know about. You may not be
-
expecting them when they show up, but
-
we've got clear direction that God is
-
giving us marching orders that we're
-
fixing to bring the gospel and the power
-
of God to this community like it's never
-
seen before.
-
>> I believe this with all my heart that
-
God has given us a mandate and a
-
mission. I'm not in competition. I'm not
-
I'm not here to throw stones at somebody
-
else in the same river. I pray that
-
every church in the 32531 zip code is
-
overflowing this Sunday with people and
-
with the glory of God. I pray that the
-
power of the Holy Spirit breaks out in
-
every single church. I pray if they if
-
they preach Jesus Christ and him
-
crucified that the Holy Spirit will show
-
up in power and manifest and people will
-
be delivered. That I'm going to tell
-
you, I am a capital C church kind of
-
guy. I believe in the kingdom of God.
-
There's not a jealous bone in my body. I
-
believe I I've even talked to one of
-
them, my my pastor friend from down the
-
road, Pastor Justin, this past week, and
-
I just told him, I said, "There's my
-
bapteostal friend right there. Come on.
-
I believe that God's fixing to pour his
-
spirit out at Pilgrim Rest. I believe
-
that God's fixing to Come on. I believe
-
he's fixing to pour himself out at
-
Golden, at Shady Grove, at Holton
-
Assembly, Hope Baptist. If there's any
-
Milligan Baptist right down here, I
-
drive by it every single day. I believe
-
God's going to pour his spirit out
-
because it's not God's will that there
-
is an empty seat in the house, but that
-
his house will be full. Not just with
-
people and numbers and money, but it
-
will be full of the glory and the
-
manifestation of the power of God. And I
-
want to know, is there anybody in the
-
house tonight that would say, "Pastor,
-
that is my heart. That is my desire.
-
I'll fight with you. I'll fight again."
-
Well, come on. I'll fight alongside you
-
and say I'll do it in prayer and reading
-
and believing that God is able to do
-
what he said he's going to do.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
>> And if we believe on that level in that
-
type of unity, believing that one can
-
put a thousand to flight, two can put
-
10,000 to flight. Can I tell you God's
-
about to open the door of blessing over
-
this house?
-
>> Amen.
-
>> He's about to open the door of blessing
-
over our hearts, over our lives, over
-
our situations, over our families. And I
-
believe with all with all my heart that
-
the door he's about to open, no man will
-
be able to shut it. This past week, I I
-
got a I got the news just like you did
-
about the situation that was going on in
-
Minnesota with this church and
-
everything that was happening there. And
-
uh God bless him. I don't know, brother
-
Mack ain't here tonight, but uh he knows
-
me all too well because he called me on
-
uh shoot Monday I think it was. And uh I
-
was driving down the road and and he
-
said he said, "Pastor," he said, "First
-
of all, I know you don't watch the
-
news." And I said, "You're right. I hate
-
the news."
-
>> Come on.
-
>> I don't care if it's Fox News, CNN, NBC,
-
CNBC, all that stuff. I don't like
-
They're just doing all that for ratings
-
anyways.
-
>> Hello.
-
>> Every time I say the news, I got to hold
-
my nose so it don't stink. I'm just
-
saying.
-
>> And he said, "I know you don't watch the
-
news." He said, "But I got to fill you
-
in on what's going on." Well, I got to
-
tell you. And I said, I said, "Talk to
-
me." And he started telling me. I said,
-
"Well," I said, "Go figure." This is one
-
of the first days I've had off to do
-
nothing in a while. And I actually
-
turned the news on and I saw what's
-
going on. And I began to see that and
-
begin to watch what was going on uh in
-
Minnesota. And you see this this crowd
-
walk literally into a service just like
-
we're having right now and begin to
-
disrupt and begin to uh cause chaos
-
while they were trying to worship and
-
calling it free speech and calling it
-
something that is available for
-
everybody. I have the right to exercise
-
my free speech. And and and listen, I we
-
could get into political lanes tonight
-
and I'm not going to get too far into
-
that because I know uh you political
-
agendas and thought processes and people
-
have different ideas when it comes to
-
that. And I don't I'm not here to
-
promote an argument or cause dissension.
-
But I want you to understand in America
-
constitutionally that is not protected.
-
Now, we have free speech and we can say
-
what we want to say and we have the
-
right to assemble and protest, but not
-
in the house of God like that.
-
>> Amen. Come on, somebody.
-
>> It's just the truth. We have the right
-
to peacefully assemble and and and
-
protest. That is true and that is
-
constitutional. But it has to be in a
-
public place where you are allowed to be
-
without any kind of opposition.
-
This this house is privately owned.
-
>> That's right.
-
>> By Bill and First Assembly of God
-
Incorporated and they do not have the
-
right to walk in and cause chaos while
-
people are trying to worship God. There
-
are different acts that have been set up
-
according to our constitution and our
-
laws and our legislative branch that
-
protect the right for us to worship and
-
protect the right for us to be able to
-
stand here and worship without threat of
-
anybody interrupting what God wants to
-
do in this house. And the and even watch
-
this. The government cannot intrude on
-
our worship.
-
>> So constitutionally, we can argue about
-
that all day long. I know I know just
-
enough to make me dangerous when it
-
comes to those kind of things. But
-
here's what I want you to understand.
-
The fact remains it happened and nobody
-
stopped it.
-
>> We can CALL ON THE CONSTITUTION all we
-
want to
-
>> and we can say this and I'm listen I'm
-
not here to recruit an army. I I know
-
that was one one question. If pastor, if
-
you send somebody to Minnesota, I want
-
to be the first one.
-
Well, I need you here. Come on,
-
somebody. I need you here in case
-
somebody tries to be crazy up in this
-
house. But I have a feeling if somebody
-
tries to be crazy like this in this
-
house, we got enough men of God that'll
-
stand up and say, "Oh, no, sir. Not in
-
this house."
-
>> And here's what I know. I this this was
-
joke this was a joke and it got me and
-
it was it was it made me giggle and I
-
laughed and I sent it to a bunch of
-
people. But Babylon B really did it good
-
because it talked about protesters
-
coming into a Pentecostal church and
-
they said, "We didn't even know there
-
was protest and they just joined right
-
in." Come on. Hey, I'm just being
-
honest. If they show up in here at the
-
wrong place at the wrong time, they
-
liable to get hands laid on them. Not in
-
an abusive way, but say, "In the name of
-
Jesus, be delivered." Come on. I I just
-
believe that with all my heart. If they
-
choose to come up in here, they may come
-
to cause a riot, but we done caused a
-
riot in the spirit. And I believe God's
-
going to set them free in Jesus name.
-
>> So we look at what is going on around us
-
and we say, "Oh, constitutionally we
-
should be protected." But the fact
-
remains it still happened.
-
>> LITERALLY, THIS IS ALMOST JUST like
-
Elijah and the prophets of Baal meeting
-
on Mount Carmel.
-
>> Spiritually speaking, I'm not I'm not
-
here to advocate for violence in any
-
way. If someone comes here to protest,
-
the first thing I'm going to do is go
-
get them a bunch of bottles of water and
-
say, "Listen, I want you to know Jesus
-
loves you."
-
>> Come on.
-
>> You hang with me long enough through the
-
rest of this year, I'm feeling real
-
dangerous this year. I may bring all
-
kinds of controversy up in here. And you
-
may say, "My god, pastor done lost his
-
mind." It's true, but we're taking some
-
things. We're taking some territory back
-
from the enemy. We're going to take some
-
territory back. If nobody else will say
-
it, I'll go ahead and say it. I'll go
-
ahead and do it. And it may cause some
-
controversy. and make it interesting.
-
But I'm going to tell you, we're going
-
to love people and we're going to offer
-
them a cup of water in the name of
-
Jesus. And you watch, people are going
-
to be radically transformed.
-
>> It's going to happen.
-
But it's it's almost like Elijah and the
-
prophets of Baal that are on Mount
-
Carmel, and it's a showdown,
-
>> if you will, of who serves the real God.
-
>> Who serves the real God? Don Lemon ought
-
to be ashamed of himself.
-
He should have been. It's just being
-
honest. He knew what he was doing. He
-
wasn't going there for justice. He was
-
jealous of a young man that went around
-
to a bunch of businesses, got a bunch of
-
likes and a bunch of clicks and probably
-
a bunch of money for exposing fraud. And
-
he said, "I got to dip into that, too."
-
Getting fired from CNN because he's a
-
vile person. And now he's trying to find
-
another foothold to make some more money
-
because he's greedy.
-
And all them people that walked around
-
with him didn't realize that he would
-
they were being used as pawns.
-
>> That's right.
-
>> In his scheme and really were hurting
-
people. They really were hurting people
-
of God. Children that were in the room
-
that were terrified of what was going
-
on. And we won't talk about that on the
-
news. No, no, no, no, no. Don't talk
-
about that. How dare How dare we put
-
blame on someone that may have an
-
opposing view as us? I I don't care what
-
political affiliation any of them are
-
with. It was wrong.
-
It was wrong. And the danger is in
-
America that if this kind of thing is
-
allowed for too long, then it won't be
-
about an ICE agent. It won't be about uh
-
political opposition. It'll be because I
-
disagree with that pastor down there on
-
Highway 4. So, let's go disrupt that
-
service and cause havoc for those
-
precious people that are in that room.
-
>> And they'll feel justified because
-
somebody else wasn't stopped.
-
>> But watch this. The only thing that is
-
going to disrupt the enemy's agenda in
-
this is for the church to get back to
-
what we really believe.
-
>> It's for the church to really get back
-
to what was entrusted to us rather from
-
the apostles. the faith that was once
-
delivered to us to stand up and SAY GOD
-
HAS NOT CALLED us to be drifters in the
-
kingdom of God. And God has not called
-
us to be pew sitters and pew warmers in
-
the church in the in the kingdom of God.
-
BUT GOD HAS CALLED US TO be contributors
-
so that we can stand up against the
-
enemy. WE MAY NOT COME AGAINST HIM WITH
-
A GUN and with a with a knife or with
-
something physical BECAUSE WE DON'T
-
FIGHT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD BUT
-
AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES AND POWERS. SO
-
THAT MEANS WHEN I COME AGAINST THE
-
ENEMY, I'VE GOT TO COME AS A spiritual
-
person and in my SPIRIT DO WAR WITH THE
-
ENEMY AND SAY, "YOU KNOW WHAT? I BELIEVE
-
MY GOD is real." AND YOU MAY YELL, YOU
-
MAY GET CRAZY, BUT I BELIEVE my God's
-
about to ANSWER BY FIRE. WHAT ARE YOU
-
TALKING ABOUT, PASTOR? THERE IS A LAST
-
day revival outpouring that is coming to
-
the church again. And if you're ready
-
for GOD TO ANSWER BY FIRE, stick around
-
LONG ENOUGH. IT MAY NOT BE A PHYSICAL
-
FLAME THAT RESTS ON TOP OF US. BUT THERE
-
WILL BE A FIRE THAT'S IN THIS HOUSE.
-
THERE'LL BE A FIRE THAT'S IN BELIEVERS.
-
THERE'LL BE A FIRE THAT'S IN THIS
-
CHURCH. THERE'LL BE A FIRE WHEN YOU GO
-
BACK TO YOUR HOUSE. THERE'LL BE A FIRE
-
WHEN YOU GO TO YOUR HOME. THERE'LL BE A
-
FIRE WHEN YOU GO TO YOUR WORK. THERE'LL
-
BE A FIRE FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE WHEN THEY
-
GO BACK TO SCHOOL. AND NOBODY WILL
-
QUESTION WHETHER GOD IS REAL OR WHETHER
-
God is false.
-
If we're looking for the real God to
-
answer, he will answer that way by
-
people that profess to be Christians,
-
they will stop saying it and they'll do
-
it.
-
>> There's advertisement companies that say
-
when they come in and they begin to help
-
you with marketing and stuff like that
-
that they say, "Our goal is to close
-
what they call the say do gap."
-
Because people will SAY, "WE DO ALL
-
THESE THINGS. This is what we do. This
-
is what we do. WE WE WE DO ALL THIS."
-
AND THEY'LL advertise what we do. But
-
really when you boil it down, they say
-
that, but what they actually do is not
-
what they say they do.
-
>> And can I tell you, I feel like the say
-
due gap has gotten wider as generations
-
pass
-
>> in the church.
-
>> If I could just be honest, I don't mean
-
that in a negative way. I mean that in a
-
revelatory way tonight to let us know
-
that we have to close that say do gap if
-
we're going to be effective for the
-
kingdom of God. Amen.
-
>> That means if if we're supposed to be in
-
our word,
-
let's be in our word.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> That's why I'm hoping through this
-
season of wonders through praying,
-
fasting, giving, and reading that it has
-
helped you create a routine and a and
-
and a a time for your family to set
-
aside time to say, "Hey, we're going to
-
read the word of God together." There's
-
nothing like having your babies gather
-
up in a living room and hear them read a
-
section of scripture and then begin to
-
talk about it and say, "Wow, I've never
-
even heard that before. That's amazing."
-
I'm telling you, it was kind of a joke
-
in our house when we read over this past
-
few weeks. We begin to read and then all
-
of a sudden, you know how it goes.
-
Paul's causing chaos and then the next
-
line is, "And the Jews set out a plot
-
against him to kill him." I was like,
-
"How many times did this guy escape
-
death?"
-
>> It was crazy. And our kids were like,
-
"Oh, here we go again.
-
Here we go again. And we had so much fun
-
reading about that. Probably one of the
-
most fun ones, I think it was from last
-
night when we read that where he was
-
standing before Ananas, the high priest,
-
and the high priest told him he was
-
going to do this right here. And he
-
looked back at him and said, "Hey, the
-
Lord's going to slap you in the face."
-
>> Come on.
-
>> He He told him, that's what Ananas TOLD
-
THE GUY STANDING BESIDE PAUL. SLAP THAT
-
man in the mouth. Hit him in the mouth.
-
And he said, "The Lord's about to slap
-
you in the face,
-
>> dude. Come on. Jerry Springer up in
-
Acts. Come on. It's getting crazy.
-
And wow,
-
>> IT'S SO MUCH FUN BECAUSE IF WE DON'T
-
CLOSE THE SAY DO GAP, we will lose the
-
next generation
-
>> because they will look at us and it'll
-
be like this. Do as I say, not as I do.
-
>> But you don't reproduce what you want,
-
you reproduce what you are.
-
>> Let that sink in.
-
We don't reproduce what we want. We
-
reproduce what we are.
-
That's in every part of our life. And if
-
we don't close that sad do gap, there
-
will be no guardians
-
of the sacred thresholds.
-
There will be nobody to stand up and
-
say, I'm going to guard it for this
-
house, but I'm also going to guard it
-
for who's next.
-
Because can you imagine the impact if
-
this church was not here and full of the
-
power of God?
-
Come on.
-
We're going to reach people. We reach
-
vulnerable people all the time. We
-
partner with other churches that step in
-
here and help us reach vulnerable people
-
all the time. We try our best to make
-
outreaches happen. We bring people to
-
our campus to love on them. And we're
-
making an impact in the community. But
-
what really drives back the enemy and
-
people don't even realize it is the
-
power of God that's in this house and
-
represented in this community through
-
the flame of the Holy Spirit that drives
-
back the spirit of darkness that wants
-
to control this area.
-
>> Some people say, "Well, that's weird.
-
You're getting weird." No, I'm just
-
being real because we're not in a
-
fleshly battle. WE'RE IN A SPIRITUAL
-
BATTLE.
-
AND IF THE flame dies in this house,
-
then the enemy has a foothold and an
-
opportunity to REACH A COMMUNITY. THAT'S
-
WHY EVERY TIME WE COME TOGETHER, I'M NOT
-
GOING TO WASTE A SERVICE. I'm not GOING
-
TO WASTE A SERMON. I'M NOT GOING TO
-
WASTE THE TIME TO TEACH BECAUSE I KNOW
-
EVERY WORD I SPEAK, I AM DRIVING BACK
-
THE enemy off of somebody's life right
-
now in this moment, I am driving THE
-
ENEMY OUT OF SOMEBODY'S MIND. SOMEBODY'S
-
THINKING ABOUT MAKING ONE DECISION, but
-
the power of God is driving OUT THE
-
OPPORTUNISTIC OF the enemy to be able to
-
bring you to a place of COMPROMISE AND
-
SAYING YES to God and no to the enemy,
-
>> sir.
-
>> No to the enemy. But it comes to a place
-
we have to recognize this is about to be
-
a showdown.
-
>> It's about to be a showdown.
-
And so this is the time where we have to
-
really let the rubber meet the road and
-
say if we're actually going to do this,
-
let's do it.
-
And I just want to talk to you like
-
family tonight. I I just I really do
-
because my heart is that God is about to
-
open a door over this house. I I I
-
preached it um maybe a couple years back
-
uh the window of opportunity and and
-
talking about how that the Lord was
-
going to open up a window of opportunity
-
over our country for the church.
-
>> I really believe that window is still
-
open over this nation. I really do. And
-
like like him or hate him, I that's
-
again political agenda is not what I'm
-
here to say. But Trump in many ways that
-
other presidents have not been has been
-
a friend of the church
-
because he's opened up opportunities for
-
the church to have their voice in
-
political realms and political circles.
-
So much so that he's designated a place
-
in the West Wing where all the other
-
people get to be in there and
-
formulating their plans and all their
-
crazy stuff. That as that is the the the
-
National Biblical Advisory Board. I
-
forget what the name of it is, but
-
basically there is a representation of
-
the church in the west wing so that when
-
decisions are being made, he can walk
-
three steps down the down the hallway
-
and say, "Hey, I need you to pray for
-
me."
-
>> Come on, somebody. But what that also
-
does that opens up credibility to the
-
church during this season that if we
-
will not get loose and get compromised
-
if we'll stay tuned to what God wants us
-
to do, the revival will come and God
-
will put his hand on our heart and God
-
will place his favor on our lives and
-
then in that we will have that open
-
opportunity to reach people unrestrained
-
by the government.
-
And so we have to embrace the window of
-
opportunity that we have knowing, yes,
-
we are in the last days. And what we got
-
to do, we got to do it quickly, but
-
thank God for a window of opportunity
-
for the church.
-
>> Now, we know persecution does what? It
-
makes the church grow. It doesn't mean
-
we're not going to be persecuted.
-
Doesn't mean there's not going to be
-
opposition. Doesn't mean it's going to
-
be like going down a big old slipping
-
slide with no resistance. Come on,
-
somebody.
-
>> That that's not where we're at. There's
-
going to be push back. There's going to
-
be a a a a probably recognizable push
-
back in a fight because the enemy is not
-
going to sit and just take it.
-
>> But we've got to have enough tenacity in
-
oursel that we look back like he told us
-
in the scripture. He said, "It intended
-
to write to you about your amazing
-
salvation we all participate in. But I
-
felt the need instead to challenge you
-
vigorously to vigorously defend and
-
contend for the beliefs that we
-
cherish."
-
And so tonight, that's my assignment is
-
to challenge us to vigorously and
-
earnestly fight and contend for the
-
faith that God has given us
-
>> to fight for it recognizing that there
-
is a price to be paid. Yes, but there is
-
also a prize to win on the other side of
-
this fight. And that is knowing that
-
there will be if the Lord carries,
-
there'll be a church that I want my kids
-
to attend.
-
>> My heart is under the inspiration and
-
direction of the Holy Spirit is to build
-
a church that I want to be part of.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> And I'm not going to let any enemy I'm
-
not going to let anybody come in and try
-
to convince me otherwise. My heart is to
-
build it. to build it the way God said
-
build it. And when God when God builds
-
the house, hey, he's going to author it.
-
He's going to sustain it. He's going to
-
provide for it. He's going to take care
-
of every need. He's going to help me
-
fight the enemies off of the house.
-
Amen.
-
>> And I believe with all my heart that you
-
have the same desire in this house to
-
say, "Listen, it couldn't it I couldn't
-
care less, pastor. What name is above
-
the door? I want to know is the glory of
-
God in the house?"
-
>> Come on. affiliation is great and all
-
that's beautiful and wonderful in his
-
time and in his season and and and and
-
and in time. But here's what I want you
-
to understand. If the glory is not in
-
here, it don't matter what's over the
-
door.
-
>> It don't matter.
-
It makes no sense to me that people will
-
cling to an affiliation. They'll cling
-
to a name. They'll cling to a to a old
-
path or a old way and say, "Well, we did
-
it like this forever. THAT'S HOW WE
-
ALWAYS DONE IT." WELL, MAYBE it ain't
-
working no more.
-
Amen.
-
>> Sometimes you got to shift. There's got
-
to be a shift. And we talked about on
-
the Sunday, that Sunday, man, there was
-
a shift that happened in this house.
-
>> It was crazy. Like, I'm telling you,
-
man, the Lord just I mean, he shifted
-
during worship. Uh that was a a crazy
-
anointing that hit this house during
-
worship.
-
>> Crazy anointing. Something I've never
-
felt before in my life. And then the
-
Lord shifted things when we begin to
-
preach and declare the word of God. I'm
-
telling you just get ready. Just get
-
ready.
-
>> Get ready. Now
-
I will say this when it comes to us
-
closing the say do gap the importance
-
for us and the safety for us as a
-
believer is that when we get so full of
-
the word of God and we get so enamored
-
by the word of God and seeing the
-
character of Christ and the character of
-
God in his word and we get so full of
-
that. Watch this. If we're full of the
-
word of God like that and we're in love
-
with the word of God, when the enemy
-
brings something to try to seduce us or
-
convince us otherwise, we will be able
-
to recognize it just like that.
-
>> Why? Why has the church in America been
-
so deceived? Because they are biblically
-
illiterate.
-
>> It's just the truth.
-
>> They don't know what the word of God
-
says even about Jesus. Yeah,
-
>> they don't even know what the word of
-
God they THEY HADN'T EVEN GOT BACK IN
-
THE OLD Testament because they don't
-
even know how to read some of that.
-
They're like, "I don't know WHAT TO DO."
-
NO. DIVE IN AND SAY, "WELL, I MAY NOT
-
UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING." YOU'RE RIGHT.
-
THERE'S SOMETIMES I READ I GOT TO READ
-
IT 27 TIMES BECAUSE I'm like, "I don't
-
understand none of that." Like, help me,
-
Holy Spirit.
-
>> Just being transparent.
-
>> Some of y'all are second guessing your
-
choice for churches right now.
-
>> Pastor, I don't understand the whole
-
word of God. If you expect me to
-
understand everything in that word, then
-
you have put me on a pedestal that I
-
refuse to sit on.
-
>> Hello.
-
>> It's just the truth, ain't it?
-
>> It's the truth. I'm learning every day.
-
I learn things every single day. And
-
that's a good thing.
-
>> That means we're learning. But here's
-
all I want you to understand. If we get
-
so full of the word of God, when the
-
enemy presents compromise, we will
-
recognize it immediately.
-
>> Immediately. There'll be something that
-
checks in our spirit. The Holy Spirit
-
will check us and say, "Hey, something
-
ain't right."
-
>> And I guarantee you, the Lord will bring
-
back to members a scripture that says,
-
"This is exactly what is right. That's
-
why that's wrong."
-
>> Amen.
-
>> That's the relationship each of us can
-
have in with the Holy Spirit. And if you
-
have that, it automatically closes the
-
say do gap.
-
Tightens it up. I'm not saying that
-
every time we're going to be perfect. I
-
ain't said every time your pastor's
-
going to get it right, I'm going to go
-
ahead and give myself some grace and say
-
there going to be sometimes I'm going to
-
make a bad choice. There be mean
-
sometimes I'm going to make the wrong
-
decision.
-
>> Hello, somebody.
-
>> There be some times that that that I may
-
I may feel like this is the right way to
-
go and I make that choice and I go that
-
way and then I say, you know what, we're
-
gonna have to back up and punt because
-
that was probably not the best thing to
-
do.
-
And so when people stare at me, like
-
some people are staring at me now,
-
all I can think back to is uh the the
-
story in the word of God where the the
-
young lady was caught in the act of
-
adultery,
-
deserved to die, deserved to be stoned,
-
brought brought this lady before Jesus
-
and and cast her down in front of him
-
and said, "Hey, she was caught in the
-
very act of adultery. She needs to be
-
stoned. What did you say?
-
Jesus being the all knowing, he said,
-
"Well, first of all, you set her up so
-
you knew about it.
-
>> Which one of you was in bed with her?
-
>> Come on. I I do." Jesus was He was bad
-
to the bone, y'all. Come on. He didn't
-
mess with nobody.
-
>> He mess with nobody. But he looked at
-
him. He said, "All right." He said, "You
-
can do it if you want to, but if you
-
anybody that wants to throw a stone, you
-
better know that you haven't done
-
anything wrong. you better know that you
-
perfect.
-
>> And then all of a sudden, one by one,
-
they dropped and left and walked away.
-
And he looked at her, said, "Hey,
-
where'd everybody go? Where's your
-
accusers?" Said, "I don't know." He
-
said, "Well, I don't condemn you." He
-
said, "Get up." He said, "Go, but sin no
-
more."
-
He says, "Send no more." God's grace is
-
far beyond anything that we could ever
-
think or imagine. And I'm going to talk
-
about that in just a few moments,
-
talking about guardians, because if
-
we're going to be guardians, we've got
-
to have grace with people.
-
We've got to display mercy with people.
-
>> We've got to understand just because
-
they made a mistake,
-
it doesn't mean that we are too perfect
-
to not make a mistake.
-
All right? Now, I want you to understand
-
this that when we're becoming guardians
-
of the threshold, the sacred threshold,
-
I want you to see this is it isn't just
-
for us.
-
It's not just for people that are church
-
people.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> When you make up your mind to be a
-
guardian, you are guarding that for
-
anybody. Watch this. He is not willing
-
that any should perish,
-
>> but that all should come to repentance.
-
Whosoever will, let them come unto me.
-
>> That means in that whosoever will, and
-
he's not willing, any should perish, but
-
all the all and whosoever will. Listen,
-
that all and whosoever will is about to
-
walk through our doors.
-
>> And you've got to be ready as a church
-
to embrace them.
-
Embrace them like you would your best
-
friend. They say, "Well, I don't know
-
them." I don't care if you know them or
-
not. You could if you embrace them.
-
That's right. You will get to know them.
-
They say, "Well, they they don't look
-
like me." So what?
-
You're gonna be really uncomfortable in
-
heaven.
-
>> Hello.
-
>> Am I Am I Am I making any sense tonight?
-
>> I don't know if I am or not. I just got
-
to my notes. I hadn't even just I just
-
got there. I don't know where any of the
-
other stuff come from, but just take it
-
and run with it. It'll be fine. But the
-
fact is people that live in a religious
-
mindset that it's it's got to be they
-
got to look like me, they got to act
-
like me, come from the same
-
socioeconomic background as me, same
-
nationality, same ethnic background. I I
-
got to keep it tight. Can I tell you
-
that's not God's vision for the church.
-
>> I want this church to look like heaven
-
on earth.
-
>> Amen. And if you don't get your heart
-
right or there's the door.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> It's just the truth.
-
If that and I understand apprehensions
-
people I'm not I don't know about all
-
this stuff pastor. We're we're inviting
-
people in. Can I tell you when we
-
started looking to do a family's count,
-
one of the things that broke my heart so
-
much is we met with a pastor and he he
-
was explaining the whole situation to me
-
and man the first time he even said
-
families count we take in these people
-
that are vulnerable potentially losing
-
their kids uh to the system or maybe
-
they have lost their kids to the system.
-
They're trying to work to get their kids
-
back. I said no more. We're in. I said I
-
don't know what it looks like. I don't
-
know what you want us to do but just
-
just know the rest of your pitch. You're
-
not trying to convince me to do this.
-
I'm in. Just tell me how to do it. He
-
and he stopped and he started crying.
-
And I was like, man, what's wrong with
-
you? Just tell me what to do. I'm I'm
-
in. I'm ready. And he said he said,
-
"Pastor," he said, he said, "You don't
-
know how many times I get to this point
-
and people don't even want to know what
-
it's about. They say our church is not
-
going to do this."
-
And and he said the reasoning behind it
-
is is is we don't want those kind of
-
people in our church.
-
>> And I that then I started crying.
-
>> We all started boohooing in the room
-
because I was like Lord that is not our
-
heart posture. I was like, "But Lord,
-
forgive the church for being so
-
ignorant.
-
>> Forgive the church for being so ignorant
-
that we we literally have at one time in
-
the 32531 zip code, there were 70
-
families that needed this class.
-
70 families that needed this class.
-
Times that by two, 140. Times that
-
probably by about two or three or maybe
-
four kids sometimes. sometimes upward of
-
five or six children. You're talking
-
about hundreds and hundreds of people
-
that are within just a stones throw of
-
this church and other churches in this
-
area. And there were people that I don't
-
not in this area because we've got great
-
people that have partnered with us and
-
said, "Let's do this." And I'm thankful
-
for that. But I'm telling you, there
-
were people that WOULD SAY NO TO THE
-
harvest when all we got to do is invite
-
them in and love them.
-
>> And then take the next step beyond that
-
and as a church family, love them.
-
You let me work on all the cleanup. I'll
-
do all the cleanup. Me and my team will
-
work on all the clean up. You just worry
-
about loving them.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Don't Don't feel like you got to
-
pressure a man. Well, hey, listen. We
-
don't act like that here. Don't Don't
-
let me catch you say that.
-
>> I'll take some out of order. I promise
-
you I will put it in order. I've done it
-
many times. I'll do it again. As long as
-
Lord Tarries, I'm sure it'll happen
-
again. It's fine. It is what it is. It's
-
part of the job. But don't try to scale
-
a fish before we catch it.
-
>> You love them. And I promise you, you're
-
going to love them right into freedom.
-
>> You're going to love them right into
-
liberty. Come on. You're going to love
-
them right into the place where God
-
wants them to be. And when they get in
-
that place, then after they belong, they
-
can become what God called them to be.
-
>> Okay. I don't know where that was at
-
either. Oh, that's right. It's not just
-
for us. is for those that are coming
-
next.
-
>> We're guarding the sacred things that
-
are about to be released in this house,
-
not just for us to enjoy, but for the
-
the people that are walking in next, for
-
them to walk into it and experience it,
-
too.
-
And so, my heart is that we will reflect
-
heaven on earth. Heaven on earth. Now,
-
if you want to follow on, you can. I'm
-
going to go back to the book of Jude.
-
All right. verses 8 9 10 and 11 if you
-
want to look at this this was the fate
-
of the apostates that he was talking
-
about and he said in the same way
-
it was it was a recruiting moment he was
-
saying it's time to contend for the
-
faith but then he said if we're going to
-
contend for the faith I want you to know
-
kind of what you're up against so that
-
you can clearly understand when I give
-
you instructions on how to become a
-
guardian it will make sense to you so
-
you ready for this if you're ready shout
-
say bring it on
-
>> it in the same way These sensual
-
dreamers corrupt and pollute uh it says
-
the the natural realm while on the other
-
hand they reject the spiritual realms of
-
governmental power uh and repeatedly
-
scoff at heavenly glories. Even the
-
archangel Michael when he was disputing
-
with the devil over the body of Moses
-
dared not insult or slander him but
-
simply said the Lord Yahweh rebuke you.
-
I want you to see this. Go to verse
-
number 10. These people insult anything
-
they don't understand. They behave like
-
irrational beasts doing by doing
-
whatever they feel like doing because
-
they live by their an by their animal
-
instincts. They corrupt themselves and
-
bring about their own destruction. How
-
terrible it is for them for they have
-
followed in the steps of Cain. They have
-
abandoned themselves to Balam's errors.
-
Balam's error rather because of their
-
greedy pursuit of financial gain. And
-
since they have rebelled like Kora
-
rebelled, they will experience the same
-
fate of Kora and likewise perish. I want
-
you to understand what Judah setting up
-
here is he's not so much just calling
-
names to call names, but he's letting us
-
see that there were certain people. Cain
-
was one of those. Balam was the other
-
and Kora and the people of Kora. They
-
had the privilege and the access to do
-
what was right. They had the opportunity
-
to fight and be a guardian of the
-
threshold that was in front of them.
-
They had the opportunity to see what God
-
wanted to see. Cain did not sacrifice
-
the same way that his brother did. He
-
ended up going from the fruit of his
-
works. He used his works to try to
-
glorify God. And God did not ask for
-
that. God asked for blood.
-
>> Come on. Then you go on to Balum. And
-
Balam sought after greed rather than
-
seeking after the heart of God and what
-
the Lord wanted. And you see Kora, they
-
rebelled and they ended up being
-
swallowed up by the earth. I'm telling
-
you, the Bible's got some really cool
-
stories. Come on. These are these are
-
juicy. when you get back in the Old
-
Testament like that and all these people
-
they WATCH THIS THEY ALL HAD THE SAME
-
ACCESS THAT EVERYBODY ELSE DID had the
-
same access BUT WHAT THEY ENDED UP DOING
-
WAS EITHER BEING SABOTAGED or watch this
-
they self sabotaged what God had placed
-
in their hand that was sacred
-
>> and if we're not careful Jude is letting
-
us know that there's a whole GENERATION
-
THAT WILL SELF-SABOTAGE theirel if they
-
don't wise up and see the hand of God
-
>> I'll say this as As a church, we will
-
not self-sabotage what God is doing.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> That means I'm going to guard what God's
-
doing. But I'm recruiting you tonight to
-
help me guard the sacred thresholds that
-
God's about to open over this house.
-
Anybody ready to guard some things? Come
-
on. I I just need This is my recruiting
-
part right here. I just need to know if
-
I got some folk. If you're ready to
-
guard, I dare you to give God a little
-
praise right now.
-
The fact is tonight every one of us have
-
the same access. And so Jude was laying
-
it out saying they self-sabotaged, but
-
you don't have to.
-
God is placing the sacred in our hands,
-
opening the threshold for US TO WALK
-
ACROSS it by faith and see the glory and
-
the power and the might and the majesty
-
of God. But if we are not careful, we
-
have the opportunity to either walk
-
through it or self-sabotage and miss out
-
on what God has.
-
>> I for one don't want to be swallowed up
-
in the earth.
-
>> Sounds uncomfortable.
-
>> Sounds a little rough. Come on. I I I
-
don't want to be cast out and become a
-
vagabond like Cain. I don't I don't want
-
to be all that. I want to be in the
-
midst of the will of God for my life.
-
But then I want you to see this. If
-
self-sabotage doesn't get us, false
-
prophets will try to pull us away
-
>> from what God has. Jude was very
-
strategic because he knew there was a
-
threshold people were about to walk
-
across and God had ordained it. So he
-
said, "Let's go ahead and identify." So
-
let's continue on. We went through verse
-
number 11. If you still got it, go to
-
verse number 12 and let's see what it
-
says. It says, "These false teachers are
-
like dangerous hidden reefs at your love
-
fest." Now, he when he said love fest in
-
this translation, I want you to
-
understand that's the gathering of the
-
people of God. That's what that that's
-
one thing that marks this house. If I've
-
heard it once, I've heard it a thousand
-
times from people that come to visit.
-
They said, "I can really feel the love
-
of God when I walk in that house."
-
>> Cuz whether you want to or not, you
-
about to get hugged. Can I get an amen?
-
>> Somebody about to hug somebody up in
-
this house. And if you if you missed
-
your hug tonight, give it just a few
-
more minutes when we release. I promise
-
you, somebody gonna find you. They gonna
-
hug you. It's going to be great because
-
we genuinely love people. It's what God
-
called us to do. Love like who? Like
-
Jesus. He's called us to love like
-
Jesus. So he was describing gathering of
-
believers as love feasts. But watch
-
this. He said they're like dangerous
-
hidden reefs at your love feast. That
-
means they've slipped in unaware.
-
And he said this, watch this. lying in
-
wait to shipwreck the immature.
-
So, if we don't self- sabotage,
-
there is a possibility the enemy will
-
sneak in and try to sabotage what God
-
has for us.
-
>> And he does it through false prophets
-
and false teachers.
-
Now, this makes some people
-
uncomfortable
-
because I'm going to say this. If they
-
come declaring a different gospel
-
than what was preached in this word and
-
what comes across this pull pit from my
-
ministers and myself, do not listen to
-
them.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Somebody comes to you and says, "I had a
-
vision and an angel told me that this is
-
the way we need to go and walk therein
-
and it was contrary to what has been
-
taught and preached across the pulpit."
-
You look at them and say, "The devil is
-
a liar and so are you.
-
Amen.
-
>> Those are things you can't play games
-
with because if you let that linger,
-
your voice will be that that voice will
-
be lent to your ear long enough to where
-
it weighs you wears you down
-
>> and then you'll end up getting in a
-
place of compromise and not even
-
recognizing it. That's called a drift.
-
You are drifting at that moment. We do
-
not play games with false teachers.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Amen. And again, I know most of the
-
criticism comes from the religious
-
crowd. I'm just being honest. They may
-
not like doctrine that I throw out. They
-
may not like the way that I teach. They
-
may not like the way that I preach. They
-
may not like the way we have church. All
-
these different things. But these are
-
the things that God entrusted to us, the
-
sacred things he gave to us through his
-
word and through his promises. And we're
-
going to guard that. If somebody comes
-
in with some false teaching and they try
-
to bring that in here, listen, I will
-
approach it head on.
-
I will
-
because I have a responsibility to you
-
as my flock, but also I have a
-
responsibility to them that if I can
-
correct them in love, maybe I can
-
redirect their life
-
>> and I can say, "Hey, you you're in
-
error. This is not okay doctrine. This
-
is not right. Something you're going to
-
lead people away from where you really
-
want to lead them." Most false prophets
-
don't start out saying, "Well, let's go
-
around and false prophesy."
-
They they maybe a little greed or a
-
twinge of greed gets in there and skws
-
their doctrine a little bit and they end
-
up going this way and before long it
-
becomes that becomes their identity
-
rather than the gospel becoming their
-
identity and they've drawn people to a
-
personality and to a gimmick rather than
-
the gospel.
-
>> That's false prophet. If they are
-
pulling you away from the gospel of
-
Christ, I'm going to tell you somewhere
-
in there there is some pride that's got
-
to be dealt with.
-
They're not pointing you to Jesus, then
-
they are not preaching the full gospel.
-
>> That's why I'll say this and listen to
-
me in love. Be careful who you watch on
-
Christian television.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Be careful who you follow on social
-
media.
-
Amen.
-
Because here's the thing, the the danger
-
in that is allowing that kind of stuff
-
to get plant seeds in your heart. And at
-
first you're like, "Oh, I don't believe
-
that." But if you keep visiting it and
-
keep seeing it and keep seeing it and
-
keep lending your ear to it, at some
-
point you're gonna say, "Well, hey,
-
there's a little truth to that."
-
>> And then the enemy is going to pull you
-
in.
-
>> And you may never self- sabotage,
-
but can I tell you, if you give the
-
enemy a moment, or some people say if
-
you give the enemy an inch, he'll take a
-
mile, right? you you give him a little
-
bit of your ear, he will sabotage what
-
God has for you. Doctrine matters.
-
It matters. It's it's important. We have
-
to have a solidity of our faith because
-
it's not even our faith. It was
-
delivered to us from the apostles. It
-
started with Christ. He handed to the
-
apostles and they turned around handed
-
to us. had one uh there was a there was
-
a guy that um man he's been on a journey
-
with the Holy Spirit uh for the past
-
five years. Um we we had a chance to
-
hear him speak and hear his heart and
-
see his heart in reflection at Ruach uh
-
not this past year but the year prior to
-
um and he's pastor of one of the biggest
-
churches in San Antonio. Um and it's it
-
is a Baptist church and he showed up at
-
Ruach, one of the most Holy Ghost fil
-
conferences I've ever been in in my
-
life. I'm talking like y'all like people
-
swinging from the chandeliers. Like I'm
-
serious. Like it's crazy. It gets wild
-
up in there. It's wild. And the glory of
-
God's being poured out and he's seeing
-
all this happen. He gets up there does
-
his spill. He teaches us. I mean just
-
absolutely brilliant mind what the Holy
-
Spirit poured through him. But then
-
there was a moment in another service
-
where he was there and the the Holy
-
Ghost moved and there was an altar call
-
to receive the power of the God. He
-
walked off that platform and ran to the
-
altar himself.
-
It was amazing. And watching that
-
happen, watching that moment transpire
-
in his heart. He in that moment, I
-
believe, had already been having a a a a
-
a relationship and a journey with the
-
Holy Spirit. But then what was so crazy
-
is that this past week, I think it was
-
last week, Bishop Wallace, who is the
-
pastor there at RTTN where they have
-
that conference, uh, one of the most
-
dynamic Pentecostal preachers on the
-
planet, went over and preached a revival
-
night for the Baptist church.
-
Oh yeah. And like when I'm saying like
-
bro was breathing some fire, he was
-
breathing some fire up in that house.
-
But what was so crazy is this great man
-
of God stood up there and he said, "I've
-
been on a journey with the Holy Spirit
-
for the past five years." He said, "So
-
the the languages that I've heard y'all
-
talk about." He said, "I am seeking
-
after that myself." He said, "But as for
-
this house," he said, "I'm going to go
-
and tell you." He said, "We submit to
-
the Father. We submit to the Son." He
-
said, "I'm going to go and let you know
-
we submit to the power of the Holy
-
Spirit in this house." the
-
transformation that took place in that
-
moment. Looking at it from face value,
-
people would say, "Well, that's just
-
something else that's happening." No,
-
that is a heart that has got hungry for
-
the presence of God and says, "I don't
-
care what religion says. I don't care
-
what walls are being put around my
-
life." And I'm going to tell you, you
-
better watch out. It's not going to
-
flow, and I'm going to say this. It's
-
not going to necessarily flow in
-
mainline denominations. It's going to
-
flow in places where the power of God is
-
welcome. And they do not care about
-
man-made religion, but they say, "Holy
-
Spirit, do what you want to do." I I
-
don't know about you, but how many
-
interested in saying, "Let our church be
-
in that river." When it happened, I want
-
to be in that river. I want to
-
experience everything God has for my
-
life.
-
>> Now, I I was in part of the scripture.
-
Uh the the shipwreck that Thank you.
-
Wait. It's lying in a wait to shipwreck
-
the immature. And And I Let me see how
-
much time I got. Oh, okay. I gota hurry.
-
They feast among you without reverence,
-
having no shepherd but themselves.
-
They are clouds with no rain,
-
swept along by the winds, like fruitless
-
late autumn trees. Trees that should be
-
bearing some fruit.
-
Trees that should be recognizable by the
-
fruit hanging on their tree, but they
-
have no fruit hanging on their tree. I
-
want you to see this. That shepherds who
-
care for only themselves, they submit
-
their souls to no one.
-
Here, here's what I know. I know where
-
someone's heart posture is. When when I
-
when I come to them and I approach them
-
as a watchman on the wall and I say,
-
"Hey, look, this can happen one of two
-
ways. I can let you continue on and I'll
-
have blood on my hands or I can come to
-
you in the heart of a shepherd and say,
-
"Hey, listen. I see some things." I know
-
where their heart is at in in in one
-
word if they say, "Pastor, I submit to
-
whatever you decide."
-
You say that happens. Oh, yeah. Some of
-
y'all getting like tight in the honey
-
right now. Do you say that? They chewing
-
that seed up. Do you really have them
-
conversations with people? Absolutely I
-
do. I'm here to guard your soul.
-
>> Because God has such a great potential
-
for your life. But can I tell you,
-
sometimes the enemy will try to sabotage
-
that. And sometimes we will
-
self-sabotage.
-
>> I want you to embrace everything God has
-
for your life. So if I see something,
-
I'm gonna say something.
-
>> Not because I hate you. Not because I'm
-
trying to bel because I love you enough
-
to say, "Hey, listen. There's some
-
things we got to deal with this. We got
-
to deal with this.
-
Now, keep going. They are clouds with no
-
rain. Swept along by the winds like
-
fruitless late autumn trees." I like
-
this next part. They are twice dead.
-
>> Um, so they are dead in appearance
-
and they're dead in reality.
-
>> They look dead and inside they are dead.
-
Dead through and through. Somebody say
-
twice dead.
-
>> What we talking about, pastor? We're
-
talking about false teachers. Watch
-
this. And watch this. plucked up by the
-
roots.
-
They have no source other than
-
themselves.
-
>> They are trying to self- sustain. And we
-
know when people try to self- sustain,
-
they do crazy things and try to grab for
-
everything. Anything that can come.
-
Misery loves company.
-
>> And if they going to be miserable, I'm
-
dragging everybody else down with me.
-
That sounds an awful lot like Satan.
-
>> He knows where his eternity is. Come on.
-
He's got no qu He believes better than
-
most people in churches today what
-
eternity is going to look like.
-
>> I'm trying not to preach right now. I
-
got to calm down a little bit because
-
I'm going to tell you, he believes it.
-
But I'm going to tell you in this house,
-
we've got to get back to the place that
-
we really believe eternity is real.
-
There there's a drift in the body of
-
Christ in America that is trying to say
-
hell is not a real place. There's a
-
drift in the body of Christ right now
-
that's trying to say the word of God is
-
not completely accurate. That there are
-
falsities in the word of God. There is
-
that drift that is going around even
-
mainline churches where they have they
-
have walked away from the totality and
-
the inherency of the word of God. But
-
I'm gonna tell you in the name of Jesus
-
in this house I'm going to believe what
-
the book says. I'm going to preach what
-
the book says. I'm going to read it for
-
myself. I'm going to digest it for
-
myself. And here's what I'll say to you.
-
Read the book. Read the book. Get in the
-
book. Get in his presence and let him
-
touch your heart and touch your life.
-
And then you'll be able to see false
-
prophets for who they are.
-
You won't have to wonder.
-
>> Let's keep going because he really he
-
really throws them down. This is good
-
stuff. They are wild waves of the sea
-
flinging out the foam of their shame and
-
disgrace.
-
Watch you weirdos.
-
They are misleading like wandering
-
stars.
-
For whom? Watch this. The complete
-
darkness of eternal gloom has been
-
reserved.
-
False. People that will people that will
-
try to sabotage somebody else's destiny
-
in God from getting across the sacred
-
threshold. Can I tell you that they have
-
a complete darkness of eternal gloom
-
that is reserved just for them?
-
That's pretty That's pretty significant.
-
I'm being honest. That makes me check
-
myself before I come out here and wreck
-
myself. Can I get an amen?
-
>> Check yourself before you preach the
-
word of God. You check yourself before
-
you teach the word of God. And make sure
-
there's no hidden agenda or motive in
-
there that would lead people astray.
-
That's why this is a weighty thing. It's
-
why I say if you're called to preach,
-
I'm gonna try my best to talk you out of
-
it.
-
Because I have to answer for every idle
-
word I say. Think about that. Every
-
message I preach, everywhere I go and
-
preach, every person I witness to, I
-
have to answer to that on a higher level
-
than everybody else does. It is a
-
weighty thing. I don't come in here just
-
this is not for my health.
-
I promise you that. It is not for my
-
health. But it's because I stink and
-
love you. I love this house. I love your
-
families.
-
I love this church. I love the church. I
-
really do love the church. I want, like
-
I said, I want every church to prosper.
-
I want I want every church to not carry
-
any debt. I want every church to carry
-
the glory of God. I want every church to
-
be uh just, man, baptized in fire and
-
power. I want that to happen because
-
that's how we're going to see the
-
kingdom of God move forward. That's how
-
we're going to see it. So, he's talking
-
about these these false teachers and we
-
have to be able to readily recognize
-
them. And the only way to readily
-
recognize them, you have to stay in the
-
word for yourself. You have to. So, h
-
how can we combat this, pastor? What is
-
it going to look like to be a guardian?
-
All right, give me 10 minutes.
-
Number one, keep building up your inner
-
life on the foundation of faith. Keep
-
building up your inner life, your soul,
-
your spirit man on the foundation of
-
faith.
-
Foundation of faith. This is this is
-
this is all taken from verses 17 through
-
23 where he gave us clear instructions a
-
call to remain faithful in the house of
-
God to remain faithful because he said
-
the last days are here. People are going
-
to be motivated by all kinds of ungodly
-
desires but we have to stay in the life
-
of the spirit as a believer. He said but
-
you in verse number 20 you my
-
delightfully loved friends constantly
-
and progressively build yourselves up on
-
the foundation of your most holy faith.
-
We have to be faithful to the house and
-
faithful to the word and faithful to his
-
presence every single day. I don't mean
-
to be so elementary tonight, but my
-
question is, do you get in his word
-
every single day?
-
What what does faithfulness mean to you?
-
The stats, and we talked about this, and
-
I'll I'll reiterate them one more time.
-
When you do one, two, or three days a
-
week in the word of God, there's not a
-
significant shift in your life. But the
-
moment you transition from three days a
-
week in the word of God to four days a
-
week, man, the numbers skyrocket of
-
peace and and being able to resist
-
temptation. I mean, it goes
-
astronomically by 200% sometimes that
-
the grace of God rests on you to follow
-
what you're reading because it becomes
-
something more than a duty or a task to
-
check off on a checklist. It becomes
-
part of our walk and part of our daily
-
life. And I think that's what the writer
-
is saying. He's saying we've got to
-
build oursel up in our innermost faith
-
on the foundation of the faith of God.
-
We've got to keep showing up and we've
-
got to believe what the gospel says.
-
We've got to believe what the apostles
-
entrusted to us and say we will not shy
-
away from that. We believe in the power
-
of God. That's number one. Build
-
building keep building up your inner
-
life on the foundation of faith. Number
-
two, pray in the Holy Ghost.
-
Come on, somebody. Pray in the Holy
-
Ghost. If you're filled with the power
-
of God, you're filled with the spirit of
-
God, you have baptized in the Holy
-
Ghost, you ought to be praying in the
-
spirit every single day.
-
Amen.
-
Pray in the spirit every day. Not like
-
one day a week. Not like on Sunday when
-
pastor says, "Hey, if you're if you're
-
filled with the spirit, pray in the
-
spirit."
-
Man, you guys are really quiet. quiet
-
for
-
looking at me like a calf at a new gate.
-
Wait, we are Pentecostal, right? We
-
believe in the power of the Holy Ghost.
-
We believe in being baptized in the Holy
-
Ghost. We're going to get there. Here's
-
what I'm going to tell you. We have to
-
make up our mind to do it every single
-
day. It is a gift that was given to us.
-
>> It's not a gift that is earned. You
-
cannot earn this. You cannot You cannot
-
I I remember I'm, you know, I'm from old
-
school, man. When we see people come
-
down to get baptized in the Holy Ghost,
-
man, you have one person on one side,
-
Brother Tommy, and they're saying,
-
THEY'RE SAYING, "HANG ON, HANG ON." AND
-
ON THE OTHER SIDE, TURN LOOSE. TURN
-
LOOSE. You know, when you don't know
-
what to do and where to go. It's not
-
it's not complicated. You cannot force
-
your way into being baptized in the Holy
-
Ghost.
-
>> It is a gift from the Lord.
-
>> Intercession is one thing. And we will
-
intercede. When people need
-
intercession, yes, we will get there,
-
and we will cry with them, and we will
-
fight with them, and we will pray for
-
them. I do not belittle that in any
-
means, but I think there's been a
-
confusion in it that we feel like we can
-
earn the Holy Ghost. You cannot earn the
-
Holy Ghost. It is a gift that's already
-
been given to you. And if you're saved,
-
the Holy Spirit is already on the inside
-
of you. Come on. You cannot be saved
-
unless the spirit of God is there. But
-
being baptized in the Holy Ghost is a
-
whole another level. Can I get an amen?
-
>> I've got my own theories about that.
-
James talks about your tongue being the
-
most unruly member of your body. And
-
people always ask me, "Pastor, why why
-
is speaking in tongues the initial
-
physical evidence?" Let's go ahead and
-
just get that out in the open tonight
-
and let's talk about the Holy Ghost for
-
a second. You'll say, "Well, I I have
-
the gift. I have the I have the evidence
-
of of the spirit of God. I speak in
-
tongues." No, baby. That is the initial
-
evidence. That's just the start of
-
things. You ought to have some love. You
-
ought to have some joy. You ought to
-
have some Come on. You ought to be kind
-
to people. There's all kinds of things
-
that are going on, but I have my own
-
theories and my own thoughts about it.
-
James said, "Your tongue is the most
-
unruly member of your body." So, if I am
-
in control of my tongue, then I'm
-
probably gonna say some things I regret.
-
I'm gonna do some things that probably
-
aren't right. But the moment I yield to
-
the Holy Spirit and let him have my
-
tongue, and I begin to speak in another
-
heavenly in a heavenly language, can I
-
tell you, then he becomes in control,
-
the third member of the Godhead, and I
-
am more often than not going not going
-
to say something that's going to
-
disgrace God when I am filled with the
-
power of the Holy Spirit. So, I'm going
-
to tell you, there's some folks in here
-
tonight that you have not been filled
-
with the power of the Holy Ghost. But
-
I'm telling you, before the end of 2026,
-
you are going to speak in tongues and
-
you're going to operate in the gifts of
-
the spirit. You're going to display the
-
fruit of the spirit. We're going to
-
bring back Pentecost the way it should
-
be. And I believe God's Come on. I
-
BELIEVE GOD'S GOING to fill us with
-
power and might glory in this house.
-
>> Pray in the spirit.
-
>> I don't have time to dive into all that,
-
but write these scriptures down if you
-
want to write them down. Romans 8:26 is
-
a good one when it comes to speaking in
-
tonesues.
-
1 Corinthians 14, Ephesians chapter 6,
Ephesians 6 chapter mention
-
you can go through all these and talk.
-
It talks about the power of the Holy
-
Spirit and speaking in tonesues. And
-
that is right. And we must pray in the
-
Holy Spirit. But there are another
-
definitions of praying in the spirit.
-
You pray as led by the Holy Spirit.
-
>> Sometimes we stand up and we look at
-
people and we say, "I feel the Holy
-
Spirit lead me to pray for you over
-
this." That is the power of God. You
-
can't just run around everywhere
-
speaking in tongues over people. They
-
gonna get weirded out.
-
>> Sometimes you got to look at them and
-
say, "The Holy Spirit told me that your
-
marriage is on the rocks and I'm here to
-
pray for you."
-
>> The Holy Spirit said, "You got a
-
diagnosis three weeks ago that ain't
-
nobody know about but you and your
-
doctor and I've said I've stepped up
-
here and I've went on a limb and I'm say
-
I'm going to pray for you and I believe
-
for healing." That is being led by the
-
Holy Spirit.
-
>> That's beautiful. It's being led by the
-
Holy Spirit. You pray. Another way is
-
pray in the spirit's realm. You pray in
-
heavenly places.
-
You pray. That's those times when the
-
Holy Spirit wakes you up in the middle
-
of the night and you got somebody on
-
your mind. You don't even know why. And
-
you just go to war. You start praying
-
for them. You don't know what they're
-
facing. You don't want temptation. And
-
you pray by means of and power of the
-
Holy Spirit. It's important that we pray
-
in the power of the Holy Spirit. Third
-
thing I want to talk about if we're
-
going to be guardians, this is something
-
else. You have to fasten your life to
-
the love of God. Fasten your life to the
-
love of God. That's what the scripture
-
says. He says, "Fasten your hearts to
-
the love of God." And he said this, "And
-
receive the mercy of the Lord Jesus
-
Christ who gives us eternal life." These
-
are two in one. We fasten ourselves and
-
our life to the love of God. This is a
-
direct result of number one and number
-
two being in our foundation of faith.
-
But praying in the spirit, it allows us
-
to be fashioned and formed and fastened
-
to the love of God. I want you to
-
understand we do everything in love.
-
>> Everything we do is in love. Every word
-
we say, every deed we do, every thought
-
we think, and every action we take is in
-
lov.
-
>> We have to operate in love. Because when
-
I am when I am walking in that faith and
-
I'm praying in the Holy Spirit, I have
-
no choice but to be tied to the love of
-
God.
-
If I'm if my motives are right and my
-
heart is right and my inspiration is
-
right, then I watch this. I will be tied
-
to his love. The second four fourth
-
thing I want to talk about is we will
-
receive more mercy from our Lord Jesus
-
Christ. He said that and you receive the
-
mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ who gives
-
us eternal life. As you and I are
-
fastened the love of God to God's love,
-
we will be awaiting mercy because we
-
have sown mercy first.
-
When we sow it, we're going to reap it.
-
Going to receive it. Bible says you reap
-
what you sow.
-
Sow mercy, you're going to reap mercy.
-
You sow wrath, you're going to reap
-
wrath. You sow judgment, you're going to
-
reap judgment. But if you sow mercy, you
-
will reap mercy. And if you also sow
-
righteousness, you're going to reap
-
mercy on the other side of that, too.
-
Hosea 10:12 says, "Sow for yourself
-
righteousness, and you will reap him
-
mercy. break up your fow ground, for it
-
is time to seek the Lord till he comes
-
and reigns righteousness on you. We walk
-
in righteousness, we're going to receive
-
righteousness on the other side of that.
-
That's the grace of God. Number five,
-
have compassion on the ones who are
-
still wavering.
-
Have compassion.
-
Compassion and patience
-
probably work together in this.
-
And this is where I this is where I
-
live. And I I I used to do youth
-
ministry and it was really hard to have
-
compassion and patience on young people.
-
Sometimes you wanted to drop the bow
-
right on top of their head. Want to put
-
them in a headlock and say, "Maybe if I
-
crack your noggin open, I can pour it
-
all in there and it'll work."
-
You know, but you I I learned in that
-
moment that not everybody came from the
-
same background that I came from.
-
>> Not everybody was raised in church like
-
I was raised in church.
-
>> Not everybody has had the experience
-
with the Holy Spirit that I have had. So
-
I cannot hold them accountable for
-
something they know nothing about.
-
>> This is where we have to be. This is
-
where compassion comes in. When we bring
-
people in that are unchurched and we
-
bring people in that are in those
-
categories, the whosoever wills, come
-
on. And the all that God wants to come
-
in and be part of this house, can I tell
-
you, you cannot hold them to the same
-
standard you held yourself to.
-
Because the moment you do that, you're
-
going to criticize and look down your
-
nose at them.
-
And that's not okay.
-
>> We can't do that. We have to be able to
-
look at them and say, "You know what? If
-
you haven't got it all together yet,
-
that's perfectly fine. I've got
-
compassion. Let me help you walk this
-
thing out.
-
Let me help you walk it out. Because
-
I'll be honest, if we show mercy to
-
those who are still undecided and
-
confused, watch this. Grace is the key.
-
And I'll say this. I think we need to
-
offer to others the same grace we wish
-
we had when we started.
-
>> Come on. How many can say, "I wish
-
somebody would have been a little more
-
gracious with me when I started my walk
-
with the Lord." Come on. It's just I'm
-
you being honest. Some of you may had
-
the perfect scenario and everybody's
-
like, "Oh yeah, I got you, baby. I'll
-
carry you the whole way." You know, but
-
not always like that. Always like that.
-
I understand pushing people out the
-
nest. Sometimes you got to do that. So,
-
hey, look, you've been you've been
-
drinking that bottle for 47 years. It's
-
time to get up.
-
Come on.
-
You been if you've been saved for like
-
10 plus years and man, you still making
-
no progress, you going to come to the
-
principal's office. Come on. We gonna
-
talk about this thing. It's time to grow
-
up. It's time to mature in your faith.
-
>> Because immature believers that exist
-
and hang around like that, they gonna
-
cause problems.
-
I'm
-
>> just I'm just telling you truth. So, I'm
-
going to help you try to mature and
-
we're going to do it. Holy Spirit, if
-
you've been in this environment, man,
-
you've had a chance to mature. Can I get
-
a amen?
-
>> But if we're not careful, sometimes we
-
will condemn in other people what we
-
condone in oursel
-
>> because oh, I'm I'm saved.
-
I'm sanctified, pastor.
-
If you knew my pedigree, you wouldn't
-
know that it's okay for me to flub every
-
once in a while.
-
God's got grace on me because my great
-
great great great
-
grandfather preached the gospel. Well,
-
bless your little heart.
-
If it only worked that way, we can grab
-
the coattail and go on. That'd be great.
-
It don't work that way. It is your walk
-
with the Lord.
-
It is your walk with the Lord. You are
-
responsible. Bible says, "Work out your
-
own soul's salvation with fear and
-
trembling."
-
That means I I thank God for heritage.
-
Ain't nothing I ain't making fun of
-
that. I'm just saying I can't I can't
-
get into heaven off of what happened 37
-
years ago.
-
It it's got to be fresh right now. And
-
the opportunity is there. As long as we
-
don't self-sabotage
-
and as long as we don't end up like Kora
-
him in rebellion,
-
as long as we don't bring the gift that
-
God didn't say bring like Cain, right?
-
We we we we can be in a place where we
-
understand his grace and his mercy. But
-
we have to have compassion on people.
-
Now, um number whatever I don't even
-
know what number is. Um six. Thank you.
-
Thank you.
-
Share the gospel with the lost.
-
Do you want to be a You want to be a
-
guardian of the threshold? Share the
-
gospel with the lost.
-
Let them know that Jesus can redeem
-
them. And and don't limit it to, hey,
-
come to church with me. Go a step
-
further than that. That's good. Get them
-
in the house because God's going to
-
touch them. And that that is part of
-
evangelism, bringing them to the family
-
of God because they need the family of
-
God. But if that's the only place that
-
we hang our hat on, we say, "Well, I
-
just get them there and pastor will tell
-
them about Jesus."
-
Right? I don't mind that. I will because
-
I love people. But hey, you are just as
-
capable of doing that as I am.
-
Amen.
-
You say, "Well, pastor, I don't have all
-
those scriptures memorized like you do."
-
That's all right. You ain't got to. Just
-
memorize John 3:16
-
>> and tell them there was one time that I
-
I did not like this. I did not want to
-
submit to the love of God. But let me
-
tell you something. God so loved this
-
world that he sent his only son. He
-
saved my life. He redeemed me. And I'm
-
thankful that I submitted to him and he
-
changed my life forever. It wasn't a
-
church. It was Jesus.
-
>> Jesus changed me.
-
>> And let me tell you that is your
-
testimony. That that is the power. Watch
-
this. It's the difference between
-
activated faith and stagnant faith. He
-
said,"For I am not ashamed of the gospel
-
of Jesus Christ, for it is the power of
-
God." You want to see the power of God,
-
share the gospel.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> I know we we are spoiled in here because
-
we get to see the power of God
-
manifested on people and we get to see
-
people take off running around this
-
place and shouting and dancing and all
-
that. And that's beautiful and just as
-
perfectly in order as anything else that
-
would take place in this house. It is
-
wonderful. But that is not the only
-
display of the power of God.
-
>> That's right.
-
>> When you share what God did for you, the
-
power of God will be in that moment.
-
>> Because if the gospel's not enough, then
-
nothing will work.
-
>> Don't complicate it. Don't add red tape
-
to it. And and I'm trying to be very
-
patient in this because I do want to get
-
this into us tonight because if we're
-
going to guard the sacred thresholds
-
God's given us, we're going to be
-
guardians of we got to know how to do
-
this thing. Got to know how to do this
-
thing. And I know I'm throwing a lot of
-
information at you, but I'm gonna say
-
this. Don't fear what man can do to you.
-
>> Say, "Well, somebody may make fun of me
-
if I if I if I flub up or I mess
-
something up or I I misquote a
-
scripture." That's all right. I'd rather
-
have somebody laugh at me in an attempt
-
to save their life
-
>> than I would one day
-
>> have to look at them and say, "I'm sorry
-
I didn't tell you about Jesus."
-
>> Because that that really brings it down
-
right there to it. The the truth of the
-
matter is eternity, heaven is real and
-
it is splendid and it is beautiful and
-
it is awesome and it is that the Bible
-
says a half has not yet been told. We
-
don't even know how grandeur it is. It
-
is going to be absolutely amazing. But
-
let me tell you, just as real as heaven
-
is, hell is real, too. And people are on
-
their way there. But you have the
-
anecdote to that. You can tell them
-
about Jesus and tell them about the
-
power of the gospel. And he can
-
transform them just like that. You have
-
that authority. God gave you that. He
-
gave you the ministry of reconciliation.
-
Did you know that? Each one of us, we're
-
ambassadors for Christ. Everywhere you
-
go, you are an ambassador for Christ.
-
Reconciling people that have been broken
-
and disconnected by sin back to a loving
-
God through the power of the gospel.
-
That's it. That's our assignment. There
-
it is. And that's how we protect the
-
threshold. The last thing and then I'm
-
I'm going to hush, I think. Maybe. Oh,
-
it's 803. You're welcome, Pastor Danny.
-
I gave you a few more minutes.
-
The last thing, if we're going to be
-
guardians of thresholds, we have to hate
-
any compromise that will stain our life.
-
Have to hate any compromise. Bible even
-
says it like this. Hate even the garment
-
of the pollution of the flesh.
-
If your flesh is going to pollute you,
-
you've got to hate whatever that is
-
that's trying to bring pollution to your
-
heart. Again, not people,
-
but the flesh, the works of the flesh
-
that will try to pollute you.
-
It means I'm not going to hate people
-
because I'm not battling against flesh
-
and blood but against principalities.
-
But if it's something trying to attach
-
itself to my life, I have to say no to
-
it. He said it like this. He said, "Be
-
extremely careful to keep yourselves
-
free from the pollutions of the flesh."
-
Now, if if if Jude, Judah, whatever you
-
want to call him, if he was able to look
-
at us in this moment through the
-
scripture and tell us to be extremely
-
careful, not like just be careful, be
-
extremely careful, then there are
-
dangers ahead of us.
-
There are dangers to try to get us to
-
compromise our position to guard the
-
threshold. Not guard it as in you get to
-
get in and you can't,
-
>> but guard it as in I'm going to keep
-
this door open and the enemy is not
-
going to shut it.
-
>> I keep myself pure. What does the
-
scripture say? We do all we can do to
-
bring others to Christ, but not at the
-
expense of becoming like the world in
-
ignoring sin.
-
Everything we can do to bring people to
-
Jesus, but I refuse to ignore sin. Sin
-
is the pollution agent that will bring
-
stains to our life so that when Christ
-
sees us, he will see the stain of sin
-
and not the precious blood of Jesus
-
Christ.
-
That's why the writer said, "Be
-
extremely
-
careful."
-
Well, slow down right here and say this.
-
In this house, we will not ignore sin.
-
I will not, as your pastor, ignore sin.
-
We and watch this. We will not even
-
pacify sin or sinful behaviors.
-
Amen.
-
>> People may want me to. Well, pat me on
-
the back and tell me I'm lovely. No. I
-
love you. Get it right.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> You have some If you're butting heads
-
with somebody in the church, get it
-
right.
-
>> I'll say it like this. I love you.
-
Everybody in the room with the exception
-
of a few, you are grown tail adults and
-
you can get along.
-
Amen.
-
>> Just being honest. Start to bring some
-
of that stuff up in here and start to
-
bring drama up in my life. Uh-uh. No
-
sir. No, sir. I got enough drama. I got
-
I got four girls at the house. Come on,
-
somebody. I got plenty of drama in my
-
life.
-
>> I don't need no extra.
-
>> I don't I don't need that to resolve
-
your problems.
-
I ain't worried about all that. There
-
are times when we have to navigate
-
relationships and I get it. We have to
-
have correction and we have to have
-
direction. We have to have grace and I
-
understand all those things. But let me
-
tell you something. If it's in your
-
power to fix it, fix it.
-
Bible says as much as in you is live
-
peaceibly with all men.
-
>> If it ain't a hill worth dying on, then
-
quit climbing it.
-
Amen.
-
>> Relationships come and relationships go.
-
I was thinking about the other day, man,
-
I ain't seen but maybe like three people
-
I graduated with as I graduated.
-
Holy smokes.
-
20 years ago. Over 21. Hey, that's
-
wrong.
-
Well, I'm sad. See y'all later. I'm out.
-
I ain't seen them. I ain't seen them.
-
Don't get hung up on what you lost. Look
-
at what you have that remains.
-
>> And the Bible talks about that.
-
Strengthen what remains.
-
>> Scripture speaks on that. If it's still
-
there, it's still in the house. It's
-
meant for the season. If it's not there,
-
it's not meant for this season.
-
Friendships can be seasonal.
-
>> They can be.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> It's just truth. I mean, it's not
-
negative. And some people just move on
-
and you know that is they may move
-
across the country. Well, I see them all
-
the time. That's okay. But we will not
-
pacify sinful behavior
-
and we will not justify sinful behavior.
-
If you're, you know, I've had people try
-
to do that and I again, they come to me
-
and thinking, well, if I can just
-
convince pastor that it's okay for me to
-
do this, then I got a free ticket to do
-
it.
-
If the Bible says it's sin, I'm not
-
going to justify it. I'm just not.
-
I'm not. If it says no, then no. You
-
know, you answer to God for yourself.
-
That's fine. But I want to line up to
-
the word because I want to be blessed. I
-
want my life to be blessed. I want to
-
live in peace.
-
I
-
>> live in the grace of God. And here's the
-
thing, we all can. We can do two things
-
at one time. We can live in peace in the
-
presence of God. And we can guard the
-
sacred thresholds that God gives us so
-
that we have access, our family has
-
access, and the ones that are about to
-
walk through those doors next, they have
-
access, too.
-
>> We can do all of it at the same time.
-
So, everybody stand to your feet.
-
Everybody stand. I was going to get
-
really violent during that time and
-
start yelling and screaming, but I
-
changed my mind.
-
But I will say what I was going to say
-
in this. You don't play with sin.
-
Because the longer you let that snake
-
hang around, it's going to bite you at
-
some point.
-
>> We We don't play with it. We kill it. I
-
don't like snakes.
-
>> All of them. They all d stupid and I
-
don't like them. They all need to die.
-
Every one of them. If I see them and I
-
think that maybe they're already dead,
-
I'll kill them again
-
just in case. Y'all know how them snakes
-
do. You chop off that head, man. That
-
body's still moving. What in the world?
-
The devil is a liar. My god. There was
-
one time we were out by our little creek
-
at the house and there was a a moccasin
-
that we was out there by the fire and
-
it's literally like I mean it's like
-
three feet from that and Yla was on that
-
side and the creek was right there back
-
and I saw it swimming up the creek and I
-
was like, "Oh my god." I was like,
-
"Layla, come over here. Get over here."
-
So I ran back in the house and I got my
-
9 millimeter and I came out there, baby.
-
It was like all out war. I was like,
-
I know I hit it. I hit it several times.
-
and crawled over on the other side of
-
the creek and died over on your side and
-
crawled over there and died. And you
-
know, I was like, if I had more bullets,
-
I'd shoot it some more.
-
I'd shoot it some more cuz I wanted to
-
die. But but we have to have the same
-
mentality when it comes to sinful
-
behavior.
-
Because all sinful behavior is trying to
-
do to our life is sabotage
-
where we're about to step on Sunday.
-
the blessings that are on the other side
-
of obedience.
-
The blessings of the strength and the
-
power and the provision and the healing
-
that's on the other side of obedience.
-
Can I tell you that it is worth killing
-
every ounce of sin, killing every ounce
-
of pride, killing every ounce of
-
selfishness in our heart and saying,
-
"God, set me up to be right in the
-
middle of your will."
-
>> So hear my heart tonight. Get it under
-
the blood. If there's sin existing in
-
your heart tonight, we can get it under
-
the blood and we can make it right with
-
the Lord. Do not let your garment be
-
stained by sin. Do not let it be stained
-
by sin.
-
How do we earnestly contend for the
-
faith? Don't allow sin, don't allow
-
religion, don't allow compromise to
-
block the threshold for us or for those
-
that are next.
-
>> And I'm going to challenge you. There's
-
two verses at the end of the uh book of
-
Jude, 24 and 25. I'm I'm gonna challenge
-
you. I'm gonna add a little reading to
-
you tonight. Go home and read those last
-
two verses and watch how powerful and
-
how great your God is. The character of
-
God on display, the mighty character of
-
God that's on display in those two
-
verses will give you strength to know,
-
you know what? If I make this choice,
-
that's who's got my back.
-
People may walk away from me, but guess
-
what? He has my back.
-
>> Amen. Anybody receive anything from that
-
tonight? Anybody ready to be a guardian
-
of the threshold? Amen.
