Hallelujah. Praise the lamb of God.
-
While you're standing, grab your Bible.
-
Hallelujah.
-
A few Sundays ago,
-
Pastor Ninger, as your pastor has
-
already stated, stood in this pool pit
-
and
-
he preached masterfully
-
on the things that he had learned from a
-
burn barrel.
-
even the coals that had
-
the fire had left.
-
But then the wind began to blow and it
-
came in that burned barrel and it blew
-
on those embers and those coals and the
-
fire began to burn again.
-
Pastor Johnson
-
stood in this pull pit a few days ago
-
and he preached about it's my season,
-
it's your season.
-
He preached about the fact that delay
-
does not mean denial.
-
And he preached under a heavy anointing
-
and the power and the presence of God
-
touched our life.
-
I found out out of the three people
-
that would be preaching
-
this according to the vision of your
-
pastor's heart that I am the oldest one.
-
I guess that's why they saved me for
-
last.
-
But I want to speak this morning
-
to you as the church.
-
I want to speak into the heart of every
-
pastor, every associate pastor,
-
every person that is connected
-
to the ministerial leadership of this
-
house,
-
your executive board, your ministerial
-
staff.
-
And I gotta say this. I I am just so
-
glad
-
to see Pastor Donald the BL the board
-
the boat and his lady right back there.
-
Would y'all just wave at everybody? Look
-
at them. Would you give them a hand for
-
being in the house of God?
-
But I want to speak into your heart.
-
I'm about to read some scripture and
-
you'll see that
-
it's scriptures that are very familiar
-
to you.
-
But I want you to understand the message
-
really has not changed.
-
It hasn't changed and and and and it it
-
never will change
-
>> until the coming of the Lord.
-
Pastor, I I fully believe that it's our
-
responsibility
-
as men and women of God to stand behind
-
that desk and understand and yes, take
-
on the pressure and the responsibility
-
of the fact that we are preaching to the
-
children and to the house of God.
-
>> That's who we preaching to every time we
-
fill this pull pit.
-
But brother Danny, I want to talk to you
-
this morning. Take your Bibles, please.
-
Turn with me to First John chapter 3.
1 John 3 chapter mention
-
We're going to look at several passages.
-
I'll read them real quick. It will not
-
take that long. As I said, there will be
-
familiar scriptures to you.
-
First John chapter number three, I want
-
to begin reading at verse number one.
-
Behold, what manner of love
-
the Father hath bestowed upon us, that
-
we should be called the sons of God.
-
Therefore, the world knoweth us not,
-
because it knew him not. Beloved, now
-
are we the sons of God, and it does not
-
yet appear what we shall be, but we know
-
that when he shall appear, we shall be
-
like him, for we shall see him as he is.
-
And every man that hath this hope in him
-
purifyth himself even as he is pure. How
-
many of you got hope that very soon we
-
going to see the son of man?
-
>> Now turn with me to the book of Mark
-
chapter number 16.
-
We be begin reading at verse number 15.
-
And he said unto them, "Go ye into all
-
the world and preach the gospel to every
-
creature. To he that believeth that is
-
baptized shall be saved."
-
And he for I just want to say this for
-
those that take that takes that
-
scripture out of context. It does not
-
mean that salvation comes through
-
baptism and water.
-
>> I want you to understand that. But he
-
that believeth not shall be damned, and
-
these signs shall follow them that
-
believe. In my name shall they cast out
-
devils. They shall speak with new
-
tongues. They shall take up serpents,
-
and if they drink any deadly thing, it
-
shall not hurt them. They shall lay
-
hands on the sick, and they shall
-
recover. So then after the Lord had
-
spoken these things, he was received up
-
into heaven and sat on the right hand of
-
God. And they went forth and preached
-
everywhere, the Lord working with them
-
and confirming the word with signs
-
following. Amen.
-
>> Amen.
-
>> Now I want you to go to First Peter 1. I
-
want to begin reading at verse number
-
18.
-
Hallelujah.
-
Sound minister, if you would give me a
-
little more monitor, please. For as much
-
as you know, you were not redeemed with
-
corruptible things such as silver and
-
gold from your vain conversations
-
received by traditions from your father,
-
but you're redeemed with the precious
-
blood of Christ as a spotless lamb
-
without blemish and without spot, who
-
verily was forained before the
-
foundations of the world, but was
-
manifested in these last times. What
-
times?
-
for you who by him do believe in God
-
that raised him up from the dead and
-
gave him glory that your faith and hope
-
shout hope
-
>> might be in God seeing ye have p
-
purified your soul and obeying the truth
-
through the spirit unto unflamed love of
-
the brethren see that you love one
-
another with a pure heart fervently
-
being born again, not of corruptible
-
seed, but of incorruptible seed by the
-
word of God, which lives and abides
-
forever.
-
One more reading. I want you to go to
-
Acts chapter number two.
-
I want to begin reading at verse number
-
four. Somebody's in a moment of
-
doctrinal discussion.
-
Somebody looked at me and said, "Well,
-
preacher, all you Pentecostals have is
-
the book of Acts."
-
And I said, "Well, bless God, we got
-
that."
-
Hallelujah.
-
Hallelujah. Acts chapter 2, verse number
Acts 2 chapter mention
-
one. And when the day of Pentecost was
-
fully come, they were all with one
-
accord in one place. And suddenly they
-
came a sound from heaven as a rushing
-
mighty wind, and it filled all the house
-
where they were sitting. And there
-
appeared unto them cloven tongues like
-
as of fire, and set upon each of them,
-
and they were filled with the Holy
-
Ghost, and they began to speak with
-
other tongues as the spirit gave them
-
the utterance. I want you to digress
-
back
-
to a sister scripture of this and we
-
just read it in 1 Peter chapter 1 and
1 Peter 1 chapter mention
-
verse 23
-
for my bedrock text this morning.
-
1 Peter 1 and 23. being born again,
-
not of corruptible seed,
-
but of incorruptible
-
seed by the word of God, which lives,
-
Pastor Cove, which lives and abides
-
for ever.
-
I want to preach to you on the subject,
-
the church,
-
the incorruptible seed of God. Let's
-
pray. Heavenly Father, we love you
-
today.
-
God, I thank you for this wonderful
-
angel of this church that you have
-
placed here. I thank you for his lady. I
-
thank you, God, for his children. God, I
-
thank you for all the ministerial heads
-
that are represented here today. And
-
God, I thank you for this leoty,
-
a body that I love more than my own
-
life. God, I thank you for them. Lord, I
-
pray that you continue to establish
-
them. And God, I ask you today to send
-
the wind, the fire, the movement, and
-
the power of the third member of the
-
Godhead. God, move in this house this
-
morning. God, we pray that you will heal
-
thy bodies. God, even now as this word
-
goes forth, I'll pray that you heal the
-
daughter of Linda Carmichael. God, they
-
have received terrible evil reports this
-
morning. But God, you are God that can
-
come and heal. And you are God that can
-
drive out any disease. And God, I ask
-
you to do that even while this message
-
is going forth. God, I pray that a
-
manifested
-
of your power and your spirits will be
-
upon the lives of the hearer, God, that
-
hears this word, God, that they are part
-
of the incorruptible church of the
-
living God. And God, I ask you to save
-
the lost, heal our sick, restore our
-
lives, and father, we'll give you the
-
praise for it in Jesus' name. And
-
everybody said, "Amen and amen." Turn
-
around and high-five about 10 people and
-
tell them you're part and partial of the
-
incorruptible church of the Lord Jesus
-
Christ.
-
Pastor Deosege, over the past several
-
months,
-
I've been doing an indepth study of the
-
church. Not just the mechanics of it or
-
the politics of it, but a study on what
-
makes the church, what it is it
-
identifies
-
the church as the chason and chosen
-
bride of Christ.
-
We must be connected to it that sets it
-
apart from any other culture or
-
institution. What driving force or power
-
that must be connected to the church
-
that would unveil God's intentions
-
toward it and those that are part and
-
partial to the church of the Lord Jesus
-
Christ. What makes this spiritual body
-
called the church a living organism unto
-
the Lord? Something that is alive,
-
something that is breathing, something
-
much more than a name out front on our
-
sign, something much more than
-
denominationalism,
-
something much more than a religious
-
order, much more than the brick and
-
stone and stubble that makes up this
-
beautiful sanctuary that we sit in. But
-
what is it that makes up this divine
-
design laid before us in the holy
-
scripture? A holy called out body that
-
will be without spot or wrinkle that
-
Jesus himself is soon to return for. At
-
its very conception and at its birth,
-
the church came forth at this moment
-
when the day of Pentecost was fully
-
come. Meaning in an upper room on the
-
day of Pentecost, a upper room that I
-
have seen with my own eyes, there's
-
nothing there that would be attractive
-
to it. Nothing that would draw any in
-
attention to it as far as its splendor.
-
But I remember standing in front of that
-
balcony where the fire first fell on the
-
day of Pentecost. And I looked at it and
-
I realized that it's not the great big
-
splendor buildings or the magnificent
-
splendor of our sanctuaries that
-
established us as a church. But it was
-
the mighty awesome power of the moving
-
of the Holy Ghost that breathed upon us
-
that made us what we are, a living
-
connected organism unto God. That power
-
is what they waited for and they prayed
-
for and they was there in one mind. But
-
beloved, THEY DID NOT GET DISAPPOINTED.
-
THE WIND blew in that little upper room
-
representing God's power. And the
-
flaming tongues of fire came
-
representing God's presence set upon
-
each of them. And at that moment, those
-
in attendance were was GIVING WHAT MADE
-
THE CHURCH THE CHURCH. But she became
-
the church truly in the calling of God
-
when Peter stepped out on the balcony's
-
edge. And he began to preach and he
-
said, "Ye men of Galilee and all ye that
-
dwell at Jerusalem, be this KNOWN UNTO
-
YOU AND HEARKEN unto my words, for these
-
are not drunken as YOU SUPPOSE, SEEING
-
IT'S BUT the third hour of the day. But
-
this is that which was spoken by the
-
prophet Joel. And it came to PASS IN THE
-
LAST DAYS, SAITH GOD, I will pour out of
-
my SPIRIT UPON ALL FLESH, ALL FLESH,
-
from corner to corner, from front to
-
back. I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT UPON
-
ALL FLESH. And when I do, YOUR SONS AND
-
YOUR DAUGHTERS, THEY SHALL PROPHESY. I
-
said they shall prophesy. And your young
-
men shall see visions. And your older
-
men shall dream dreams. And upon my
-
servants, and upon my handmaidaidens, I
-
will pour OUT IN THOSE DAYS. WHAT DAYS?
-
THIS DAY I WILL POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT. I
-
WILL POUR IT OUT ON ALL FLESH. I WILL
-
POUR OUT OF MY SPIRIT ON ALL FLESH.
-
every one of them. I will show some
-
wonders in heaven above and signs in the
-
earth beneath, blood and fire and vapor
-
of smoke. And then shall be the sun
-
shall be TURNED INTO DARKNESS AND the
-
moon into blood before the GREAT AND
-
NOTABLE DAY OF the Lord come. And it
-
shall come to pass that whosoever
-
SHALL CALL ON THE NAME OF the Lord shall
-
be saved.
-
Whoever shall call on the name of the
-
Lord shall be saved. And son, I want you
-
to hear me. It was when Peter says those
-
last words and it shall come to pass
-
that whosoever calls on the name of the
-
Lord shall be saved. Boom. Peter gave an
-
altar call. And when he did, 3,000 men
-
and WOMEN GOT BORN INTO THE KINGDOM OF
-
GOD. WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY, PASTOR?
-
I'M SAYING WHAT makes the church the
-
church IS NOTHING LESS THAN the mighty
-
power of Pentecost. THAT IS THE CHURCH
-
THAT JESUS is about TO COME AFTER. AND
-
WHAT MAKES THE church the church is that
-
men and women WILL BE BORN INTO the
-
kingdom of God by the leading and by the
-
power of Pentecost upon the local
-
church.
-
They will be born then.
-
>> Oh, precious. Hear me. Pentecost is
-
Pentecost is not what saves you.
-
Pentecost is what keeps you.
-
>> You hear me? Pentecost is what keeps
-
you. It's the shed blood of the spotless
-
lamb that was slain before the
-
foundations of the world. It's Jesus
-
that saves you. There is something else
-
that I've been made acutely aware of.
-
And that is that many in the assemblies
-
of God that I am an ordained minister
-
with have gotten so deep in God that
-
they think Pentecost is no longer
-
needed. As a matter of fact, there are
-
those in the Assembly of God movement
-
that no longer even believes we need
-
this Pentecost. And this pastor is
-
talking about today what I'm trying to
-
tell you about. That's why if the if the
-
Lord will help me when I'm asked from
-
here on out what what I am, what kind of
-
minister I am, I'm not going to say I'm
-
an assembly of God minister. For from
-
the top of my head to the sole of my
-
feet, God help me to be Pentecostal. I
-
am a Pentecostal minister. I am a
-
Pentecostal preacher. I am a Pentecostal
-
pastor. I don't have time to deal with
-
it. But there's a difference in the real
-
Pentecost belief and the apostolic
-
belief. They're not the same.
-
>> Bobby, they're not the same. And I don't
-
have time to deal with it. But I want
-
you to understand the way I am dressed,
-
THE WAY I cut my hair, the way I comb
-
it, the way I shave, that does not MAKE
-
ME PENTECOSTAL. WHAT MAKES ME
-
Pentecostal is that there is a witness
-
of the mighty POWER OF THE HOLY Ghost
-
living inside of my life.
-
Shalom.
-
There's a witness of the power of the
-
Holy Ghost living inside of my life
-
after salvation through the blood of
-
Jesus. It's the third member of the
-
Godhead. God, the Holy Ghost that makes
-
the church what she is, nothing more and
-
nothing less. Pentecost is the power and
-
presence of the Holy Spirit in the lives
-
of the believer. That's what it is. If
-
somebody comes to you and they lay hands
-
on you and they begin to speak in other
-
tongues, that that is a witness to you
-
that what happened in the book of Acts
-
is still alive and well and it's living
-
on planet Earth. I'M NOT ASHAMED OF
-
PENTECOST.
-
What I'm saying today, please understand
-
that the church as a body must take
-
inventory of itself as a whole. Hear me.
-
We must take inventory if we want this
-
fire burning in our life. If it wants to
-
stand victorious, the church must be
-
more than a conqueror in the day and
-
hour in which we presently live. And we
-
must operate and worship in Pentecostal
-
power.
-
>> You hear me? Some of you hold your
-
heads. You know exactly what I'm talking
-
about. You've seen them with their
-
little buns on their head. You've seen
-
the power of God come upon them and they
-
go to shaking their head. Bobby pins
-
goes to flying. You almost have to duck
-
under a chair or a pew to keep from
-
being hit by them. You know why they had
-
that and why they operated in that
-
power? I'll tell you why. They had
-
nothing else more important in their
-
life than that was the power and the
-
presence of God being exhibited to their
-
life.
-
>> That's why
-
>> the church must self-examine
-
what her purpose is. it spiritual
-
leadership must look within itself to
-
fully search their hearts and to see if
-
their spiritual ear is tuned into the
-
voice and the direction of God to see if
-
they're following the leading of the
-
spirit and examine themselves that God
-
does to see if they're following the
-
pattern laid down in the New Testament
-
order under the direction of the Holy
-
Ghost himself. And the church leadership
-
must realize they are powerless without
-
the seal of the Holy Ghost on what they
-
are doing and calling it the direction
-
of God. THEY MUST HAVE THE SEAL OF THAT
-
power upon their vision.
-
>> They must have it.
-
What I say now, I say as a warning to us
-
as pastors. I warn I warn our spiritual
-
leadership and those that are in
-
spiritual authority, preachers,
-
teachers, worship leaders, and the lady
-
itself. I want you to hear me. I pray
-
for a spirit of discernment upon your
-
pastor more than I pray for anything
-
else. I pray that a spirit of
-
discernment cuz they'll come some come
-
to him and go oh this we need to do this
-
and we need to do that and we need to do
-
that. Let me tell you beloved as a ley
-
you just come in here and worship God
-
with everything inside of you every time
-
these church doors open and you leave
-
the spiritual direction of your h of
-
this house to that man right there. You
-
leave it to him and you allow God to
-
lead and direct him and pray that the
-
spirit of discernment will saturate him
-
and pray more than anything else that he
-
WILL GUARD THIS PENTECOST THAT'S been
-
delivered to him. Guard this
-
bloodcovered house of God. Do not
-
conform to the religious spirit of the
-
world. This produces a spirit of
-
conformity and a culture to become more
-
like the world and less like the image
-
OF THE CHURCH ESTABLISHED in the book of
-
Acts. Amen.
-
>> Over the past several months going in
-
and out of churches that name the name
-
of Pentecost,
-
I cannot help but to evaluate
-
the intent and spirit of that which I
-
have both seen and felt. Pastor's about
-
the pastor is about to make a staggering
-
statement, but I have never seen at any
-
time in my calling as a minister such a
-
display of flesh that is being called
-
spirit.
-
>> You hear me?
-
>> There is a difference.
-
>> I said there is a difference.
-
>> There is a difference.
-
>> You want to know why? Because honey, you
-
can you you can get up here in a pair of
-
overalls or you can get up here with a a
-
a number two wash tub with a stick and a
-
string for a bass guitar. You ain't It's
-
wonderful to have everything we got. And
-
I thank God for it. And this is the best
-
of the best. But I want you to
-
understand, even the best of the best
-
that man has to offer, it will not set
-
free those that are in bondage, it takes
-
the power and the anointing of God
-
resting upon us as we pray and sing and
-
preach this word that men and women can
-
be born again.
-
>> Hear me.
-
Even as I was preparing this message for
-
this house that I love,
-
I'm going to go ahead and say this. I
-
don't want my lady to get upset with me,
-
but I want you to hear me.
-
I give my life for this house.
-
I give my life for you, but I'm not
-
going to hell for none of you.
-
I want you to understand that
-
even as I was preparing to deliver this
-
message,
-
I felt son,
-
I felt the mighty hand of God on me.
-
This message just didn't come over the
-
last couple of weeks. This is a
-
fourmonlong
-
preparation for this message.
-
But I want you to understand,
-
I failed him.
-
And I've come to declare only that which
-
the Holy Spirit has made known to me.
-
And I'm here to tell you, it's time the
-
church stops being ashamed of this thing
-
called Pentecost.
-
>> Stand up, Brother Don. Stand up. It's
-
time we quit being ashamed, son of the
-
fact that we speak in tongues. It's time
-
we quit being ash.
-
It's time we quit being ashamed of the
-
laying of hand on the sick and sin with
-
recover. It's time we quit being ashamed
-
of casting out devils. It's time we quit
-
being ashamed of prophesying under the
-
power and the leading of the Holy Ghost.
-
It's time we let the flame burn hotter
-
than it's ever burned before.
-
You need it.
-
I need it. We need this thing called
-
Pentecost. I said, "We need this thing
-
called Pentecost."
-
>> I remember what Jesus said.
-
He looked at him. He said, "Listen."
-
He said, "When do you be ashamed of me?
-
I'll be ashamed of you when I stand
-
before my father."
-
>> You hear me? You want to know what that
-
means, Robbie? That means if you feel
-
the Holy Ghost right in the middle of a
-
song service, right in the middle of the
-
preaching of God going forth, if you
-
feel the Holy Ghost, don't you step
-
there and quench that spirit. You jump
-
to your feet, you raise your hand, you
-
start worshiping God, baby, if we can
-
shout at the song, WE BETTER SHOUT at
-
the word, we better get it in our life
-
and we better let it have fruit in us.
-
We better let it have fruit in us.
-
Hallelujah to the lamb.
-
>> I don't want him to be ashamed of me. I
-
don't want him to be ashamed of my son
-
when he stands before him. That's why
-
he's got to obey every voice that speaks
-
to him from the Holy Ghost. He's got to
-
obey that. You might say, "Well, pastor,
-
I don't know why why we doing this or
-
why we doing that." Shut up. It ain't
-
your reason to ask. He is directed by
-
God to do what he is to do. You just
-
hook up to this thing called the church
-
and you let God do what he wants to do.
-
Not only in THE CORPORATE BODY BUT IN
-
YOUR SPIRIT INDIVIDUALLY.
-
>> Did I say that word?
-
>> Sorry.
-
>> Hallelujah.
-
If I cover Pastor Jeffy, as I've already
-
said,
-
with anything in my constant praying for
-
him and you that fills the courts of
-
this house, it is that God, the Holy
-
Ghost would baptize him and overflow him
-
with a spendant spirit of discernment
-
that he may discern the intent, the
-
purpose, and the direction of the spirit
-
of God for this house and that he would
-
protect that which the Holy Ghost has
-
laid in his hands.
-
>> The end time prophet Jude.
-
The next to the last book of your Bible
-
declares in verse 7 and 13 that there
-
would be a counterfeit church that would
-
be birthed in the last days. This
-
ancient prophet said that this is what
-
that counterfeit or false church. It
-
would have some identifying
-
characteristics.
-
And I ask that every pastor and
-
evangelist and preacher to please listen
-
to me that's in this house today. Jude
-
said that this counterfeit church would
-
be controlled and filled with the spirit
-
of Sodom and Gomorrah. And Jude said it
-
would be filled with a spirit of
-
fornication, going after strange flesh.
-
And because of that, it would suffer the
-
vengeance of eternal damnation and
-
eternal fire. You can look at all the
-
most of the bigname preachers that used
-
to be bigname preachers and you will see
-
that things have happened and you will
-
understand that the spirit of Sodom and
-
the spirit of Gomorrah has crept in and
-
it's crept into the church, Pastor
-
Daddy. And it's crept in and it's come
-
in and it's made itself at home in what
-
should be the house of God. I can't
-
preach on all this long, but this
-
counterfeit church would speak evil of
-
things which it knows not of except what
-
it knows naturally as brute beast. Jude
-
said their actions would corrupt
-
themselves. They would go the way of
-
Cain by slaying its very own. They would
-
go after strange gods. I want you to
-
understand you can come up with any type
-
of interpretation of the word of God
-
that you want to but I want you to
-
understand the word of God is the word
-
of God. It is the authoritative
-
powerful incorruptible word of God. It
-
is our road mouth that we're to live our
-
lives by. God, help us get the preaching
-
of THE WORD OF GOD back in the pull pits
-
of America again. We need this word to
-
be preached under the powerful anointing
-
of the Holy Ghost.
-
>> But then Jude's tone of speech changes
-
as he begins to warn the true church to
-
beware. He speaks to this house of mag
-
and declares, "Beware Mac, least they
-
are spots that will try to feast with
-
you in your spiritual feast. But instead
-
of feeding you peace and joy and hope,
-
they will feed you with fear. They will
-
literally drive love away. These
-
socalled spiritual clouds will try their
-
best to get you to compromise your
-
faith. Their mouth will produce nothing
-
but a foam of shame and they will act
-
very spiritual. But God sees them as
-
twice dead without fruit. He sees them
-
as wondering stars that does not know
-
its creator, nor do they serve him. I
-
know this stuff this morning and I know
-
it's tough at times, but please listen
-
to the voice of the spirit, pastor. Two
-
of the most forgotten messages in the
-
America today is the message of hell and
-
the message of heaven. And the reason
-
for it is that there has TO BE A
-
PRESENCE of sin for you to go to a place
-
called hell. And there has to be a
-
forgiveness of sin for you to go to a
-
place called heaven. And many preachers
-
are afraid to deal with a sin issue.
-
>> I got TO TELL YOU, THERE IS a literal
-
burning place of torment that sin will
-
send you to. But there is a glorious
-
place called heaven that the eye of the
-
vulture has never seen. Hallelujah to
-
the lamb of God. There is a place called
-
heaven.
-
>> When's the last time you've heard a
-
stirring message from the Holy Ghost on
-
a place called heaven or a place called
-
hell? Beloved, please listen to me. It
-
should never be in this room or in this
-
house or any house that carries the name
-
Pentecostal that your pastor has to
-
spend more time pumping you up by
-
telling you God understand your sin by
-
telling you. Now listen, understand it
-
should never be that they have to spend
-
more time telling you you how great you
-
are. Not because they want you to miss
-
hell, but because they want to try to
-
put something in you that'll just get
-
you back seven days later to the house
-
of God on the Sunday morning. I read a
-
statistic, son, that says most pastors
-
has 90 90% of their message that goes
-
forth every Sunday morning is to not
-
offend the hearer, to not offend anybody
-
that's sitting inside of that
-
congregation. And only 10% has a little
-
mingling point about the blood. They may
-
not even preach the blood, but they'll
-
preach about maybe if you have time and
-
you can get to it somewhere in your
-
life, you need to ask Jesus to come into
-
your life and come into your heart. I
-
think the spirit of God is trying to
-
switch that. We need to preach 90% on
-
the literal burning hell and seven and
-
10% on telling you how great you are
-
just so you'll come back to the house of
-
God. I can tell you your pastor don't
-
necessarily want to spend HIS TIME JUST
-
SO YOU'LL come back to the house of God.
-
He wants to spend his time so you'll
-
miss hell.
-
>> You should never
-
have to walk a tight rope.
-
He should never have to get up here
-
>> after days and weeks and months of
-
fasting and prayer and studying the word
-
to deliver a message from you. He should
-
never have to walk a tight rope so he
-
don't offend you somewhere. I got news
-
for you. I want a preacher and you've
-
got one that'll stand behind this pool
-
pit and he'll tell you how to make
-
heaven your home. He'll tell you how to
-
live victorious in this life. I'm
-
telling you, I believe we need to preach
-
it again that we can flail the flames of
-
hell. I believe we need to PREACH THE
-
HELL RIGHT out of you.
-
Man, we preach that.
-
It should never be that he's afraid to
-
preach what God's given him because
-
you'll puff up like a toad frog and not
-
come back or because you'll cut off your
-
ties. You go ahead, you cut them tithes
-
of this house off. God will t cut your
-
livelihood off. He'll let disease come.
-
He'll let everything you can imagine.
-
You'll die in that car wreck. YOU HEAR
-
ME? YOU'LL DIE with that cancer. You
-
say, "What are you saying, pastor?" I'm
-
saying this. What goes forth from this
-
pull pit through his lips is not just
-
him. He is the vessel. But it is the
-
word of God that'll give you power to
-
sustain yourself in this life
-
>> and in the life to come.
-
He's been instructed by the Holy Ghost
-
to preach against sins of the flesh
-
>> or he's been instructed you according to
-
the word of God. Beloved, your pastor is
-
under no obligation to the assemblies of
-
God.
-
>> You hear me?
-
>> He ain't under obligation to the
-
assemblies.
-
I want to tell you something.
-
Since the day I walked out of this room
-
as your senior pastor,
-
you voted this man and woman in.
-
I hadn't sent one dime to the Assemblies
-
of God.
-
Oh, you say pastor,
-
you don't pay your tithes. Hush, you
-
know me better.
-
>> Yes, we pay much tithing, much offering.
-
But you want to know what's happened?
-
See, from a long time, I had to pay
-
dues.
-
>> I had to pay this.
-
>> I had to pay that. I had to pay every
-
bit of that.
-
But for two years now, I hadn't paid a
-
dime to them.
-
And for two years now, they just kept
-
sending me my license.
-
They just send me They send me them
-
little cards. I just keep getting my
-
license. You want to know why? They
-
don't want their statistics to drop.
-
That's why. But I'll tell you this. Yes,
-
I pay my tithe. But I want you to hear
-
me. Your pastor is under no obligation
-
when it comes to preaching this word to
-
the assemblies of God. The only one he
-
is the under obligated to is the author
-
and the finisher of his faith. And the
-
one that has called him to preach this
-
book. And God help him if he don't
-
preach it according to the spirit of
-
God. Because if HE DON'T, YOUR BLOOD
-
will be required at his hand.
-
>> Say amen.
-
>> Even though time will not allow me to
-
share every bit of it at this moment,
-
but I want you to turn very quickly to
-
First Peter chapters 1 and two very
1 Peter 1 chapter mention
-
quickly. First of all, son,
-
in my study, concerning church history,
-
even going all the way back to the Wales
-
revival and going all the way back to
-
the Billy Sundays and the Smith
-
Wigglesworth and the William Seymour and
-
back to the revival of what they call
-
the Methodist way. back to all those
-
that all those things that the way God
-
moved and the way that he established
-
and the way that he he came going all
-
the way back to there. I have found that
-
the number one characteristics
-
that and what identifies the church as
-
the church is both the physical evidence
-
and the spiritual evidence of the third
-
member of the Godhead which is called
-
God the Holy Ghost living and operating
-
within the confines of the church not as
-
a guest but as the head of all things
-
pertaining to the church and it's ve and
-
it's very evident within the church body
-
which makes it a living organism unto
-
the Lord.
-
>> Unto the Lord. Is my mic sounding funny
-
to you all?
-
>> It is here up here. Here, pastor this
-
morning. Without the tangible presence
-
of the Holy Ghost within the church
-
itself and within the within the lives
-
of those that make up its membership, it
-
can be nothing more than a gathering
-
place for a social encounter. Beloved,
-
if there is no transforming power of the
-
Holy Ghost within the body and within
-
the worship, within the programs, within
-
the watering of the word that goes
-
forth, it is absolutely nothing more
-
than a religious organization without
-
any transforming power at all.
-
>> That's all it is. Trying to be the
-
church without the evidence of the Holy
-
Spirit falling and abiding within its
-
corporate worship, within its programs,
-
within its outreaches would be like
-
trying to drive a car without the
-
evidence of a motor because there's no
-
power. Or trying to take a bath without
-
any evidence of water because there is
-
no washing. It is impossible.
-
It is impossible.
-
That's why we have churches today that
-
are totally par powerless against the
-
devil
-
>> and what he tries to produce and the
-
weapons that he forms against those that
-
make up that particular religious body.
-
It should be common
-
that in every service
-
in every ministry of the church herself
-
that there is the evidence of the Holy
-
Spirit abiding in the hearts and lives
-
and spirits of those that are in
-
attendance. And while ministry is going
-
forth,
-
>> I pray
-
with everything inside of me
-
that the ley of this house
-
does not
-
take for granted for what you have.
-
>> You hear me?
-
I pray you never ever
-
take it for granted.
-
The church will be powerless
-
against the devil as he tries to produce
-
the weapons that he forms against those
-
that make up this church body. If the
-
presence of the Holy Ghost does not
-
abide,
-
We'll shout in a minute.
-
It should be common
-
that in every service, every ministry
-
that there is an abundance of the spirit
-
of God operating within your lives and
-
the lives of those that fuels those
-
ministries. I want you to go understand
-
something as a ministry is going forth.
-
The God, the Holy Ghost
-
in this house is free to move as he
-
desires.
-
And when the Holy Ghost has liberty,
-
shout liberty.
-
>> When the liberty of the Holy Ghost is
-
there and he has free course to move,
-
men and women, boys and girls will be
-
born into the kingdom of God. The bound
-
will be delivered. The sick will be made
-
whole. Restoration will be seen. The
-
expression of worship will be felt. And
-
a place of habitation for the Holy
-
Spirit to abide will be made a available
-
unto him. He has the honor seat of this
-
house. He can come and sit down in this
-
house anytime he desires.
-
anytime
-
>> he desires
-
>> God the Holy Ghost is allowed to move in
-
total freedom there's no limit of access
-
to the believer there's nothing
-
impossible to this great house as a
-
corporate spiritual body when there is a
-
spirit of liberty living and breathing
-
within this room and in the hearts of
-
those that fuel our chairs for just like
-
on the day of Pentecost the People were
-
gathered. They were waiting. They were
-
there waiting within They were gathered
-
there and they were waiting within that
-
room waiting for something to come and
-
breathe upon them. The singers were not
-
there to sing. The ushers were not there
-
to greet people at the door. It was not
-
a big fancy church. But on the day of
-
Pentecost, the people were gathered.
-
They were waiting. Not on how good the
-
music was or how well the singers could
-
sing or how eloquent the message was,
-
but they were waiting on the outpouring
-
of the spirit of the Holy Ghost. And in
-
their waiting, a tornadating wind begin
-
to blow, representing the power of the
-
Holy Ghost. and tongues of fire came and
-
set on everyone in that room
-
representing the presence of the Holy
-
Ghost. Beloved, when you get the power
-
and presence of God in the room,
-
spiritual bondage can not exist.
-
It
-
>> cannot exist.
-
I'm hurrying.
-
>> I love to hear this morning.
-
You can offend the Holy Spirit
-
>> and he'll leave.
-
>> He can. You can literally stop the
-
greatest source of power that man has
-
ever seen on planet Earth by binding not
-
the devil.
-
>> Amen. But by binding the power of God,
-
>> you can bind him. And by refusing to
-
give him liberty to move and breathe
-
within our churches and within our
-
lives,
-
you can bind that power for there is
-
liberty and freedom in the house of God.
-
It doesn't really matter who sings.
-
It don't it don't really matter who
-
preaches for when the Holy Ghost is
-
welcome in our hearts, he has liberty to
-
move. The spirit of performance will be
-
crushed and everything that is done will
-
be for one main purpose and that is to
-
find the presence of God. And when the
-
church does that, miracles will take
-
place and the name of Jesus will be
-
exalted and the blood of Jesus will be
-
honored. And nothing shall be impossible
-
to those that believe. And things that
-
eyes haven't seen, nor ears haven't
-
heard, will be seen and heard and heard
-
in the lives of everyone that walks
-
through our doors.
-
Keep you your keep your performance.
-
Give us God of your presence.
-
>> Give us God.
-
>> Second,
-
Peter talked to us in the first two
-
chapters about something else.
-
He told us of a hope.
-
Not just not just any hope, but a hope
-
that will let us know everyone that
-
seeks after Jesus
-
will have a hope inside of them that
-
they know they have not been forgotten.
-
It's a living hope. Shout living hope.
-
>> That is found in Jesus and it's only
-
found in him. For we know in Jesus we
-
have been chosen and destined by the
-
father by father God before the
-
foundations of the world.
-
For you that are in this room this
-
morning, please listen closely to
-
pastor.
-
I don't care what you've done.
-
I don't care what you've done before
-
salvation.
-
I don't care what you've done in your
-
past. If you've been washed by the blood
-
of Jesus, the Holy Spirit has made you
-
his own.
-
>> He has made you his own
-
and he has set you apart to
-
>> that we receive the call to holiness.
-
I know it's not spoken of much anymore,
-
but that's why Pentecost is dead to so
-
many churches
-
and in the lives of those that fill the
-
church sanctuary on Sunday morning.
-
There's one thing that the modern church
-
world has forgotten. And please hear me.
-
So many ministers have depended on what
-
has seemingly worked at other places or
-
they've become dependent upon someone
-
else's ministry. They've outlined that
-
that their ministry puts forth and all
-
of that is helpful at times. They
-
depended on other preachers mannerism. I
-
call it copycat ministries have
-
developed because pastors and ministers
-
because they no longer get on their
-
knees and ask God for a message to give
-
those that they pastor. And because of
-
that, they have forgotten the Holy
-
Spirit. They have forgotten that he can
-
perceive. He can discern your heart. He
-
can hear. He can feel. He has a
-
personality. He is the third member of
-
the Godhead. He is God the Holy Ghost
-
and he can perceive the conditions of
-
the life of the believer. He knows your
-
mind, your true intentions. God the Holy
-
Ghost has the ability to do anything he
-
knows and he desires to do. And he knows
-
the condition of our life. He knows the
-
life of the man or woman that comes
-
before him.
-
>> He knows our life.
-
He knows us. He possesses the spiritual
-
ability to see.
-
He possesses the spiritual ability to
-
hear or become aware of something
-
through the office of the Holy Spirit.
-
the anointing to regard a circumstance
-
or understand through the eyes of the
-
spirit in connection to the third member
-
of the godhead and his indwelling within
-
the life of every believer. In other
-
words, sir,
-
lady, young adult, you're not going to
-
fool the Holy Ghost. I don't care how
-
much you speak in tongue. I don't care
-
how much you jerk. I don't care how much
-
you run, how talented you are. You're
-
not if you're not in right relationship
-
with Jesus, the Holy Ghost will not use
-
you.
-
>> Sweat my eyes can't see,
-
but the Holy Ghost won't use you. That's
-
why Peter, that's why Peter made such a
-
call to holiness in first Peter chapter
1 Peter 1 chapter mention
-
1 in verse 13. He said to prepare your
-
hearts and mind. Fix your hope on the
-
marvelous grace that has come to your
-
life.
-
>> Fix your hope on that.
-
Hear me, church.
-
This Jesus we love and serve, he's the
-
real deal.
-
>> You hear me? I said he's the real deal.
-
>> When Jesus went to the cross, he didn't
-
just go and make a ransom payment. He
-
didn't go make make just a a little drop
-
of blood. He didn't go to make a payment
-
with silver and gold. He poured it all
-
out. He did not bleed just a drop or two
-
of blood. He poured every drop of his
-
precious blood he had in his body out.
-
He spilled it all. That's why I'm
-
understand and you need to understand
-
that you're not redeemed with silver and
-
gold, but you've been redeemed by the
-
precious blood of Jesus Christ.
-
That's how you've been redeemed.
-
Understand? That's why Peter said to us
-
in first Peter chapter 2 to grow in
1 Peter 2 chapter mention
-
holiness.
-
abandon every form of in evil, every
-
form of hypocrisy, every form of
-
jealousy and slander like a infant cries
-
for milk that he may grow thereby. As
-
believers, we must intently crave the
-
pure spiritual milk of God's word, for
-
it will cause you to grow in the grace
-
and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
Why does pastor have all these things
-
going on? He wants to get the word in
-
you
-
>> that you may grow thereby.
-
>> That you may grow thereby.
-
Hear me, beloved, and I'm getting ready
-
to close.
-
The world around you needs to see a
-
church again
-
that's not a performing church,
-
>> but a church that is absolutely
-
passionate
-
>> about the presence of God
-
>> in their midst.
-
>> I know that's the heart of your pastor.
-
I know it is. The ancient Pentecostal
-
prophet Joel said in the last days that
-
God would pour out of his spirit.
-
In Joel's day, Pastor Scott,
-
they didn't break the ranks.
-
They were in one mind. They're in one
-
accord.
-
They didn't break the ranks. They didn't
-
stagger because of opposition.
-
Son, don't you be afraid and run because
-
of opposition. They were not called
-
because they never failed.
-
They weren't called because they messed
-
up at what they they laid their hands
-
to.
-
They were called great because they
-
refused to quit or give up until God
-
either made a way or until God gave them
-
the answer.
-
>> They didn't break the ranks. Hear me
-
beloved. You might have prayed before.
-
Well, pray again
-
>> and again
-
>> and again.
-
>> In Matthew 7 7 and 8, Jesus says, "Ask
-
and it shall be given you. Seek and you
-
shall find. Knock and it shall be open
-
unto you. For everyone that asks will
-
receive and he that seeks will find. And
-
to him that knocks it shall be open." In
-
those verses, Jesus is talking to us in
-
a verb sense. When you understand this,
-
you'll understand that Jesus is not
-
talking about just one time or two
-
times, but it is translated to ask and
-
keep on asking. Seek and KEEP ON
-
SEEKING. KNOCK AND KEEP ON KNOCKING.
-
Keep on knocking. Understand that. And
-
let me tell you this, the devil's
-
greatest attack or assault
-
will come to you
-
in the asking
-
and in the seeking and in the knocking.
-
But I want you to understand, don't pay
-
the devil any mind. Just keep on asking,
-
>> keep on seeking
-
>> and keep on knocking. God will saturate
-
you with his spirit in the asking and in
-
the seeking and in the knocking. He'll
-
pour his spirit out upon you. And your
-
victory is sure to come.
-
>> Your victory is sure to come.
-
Well, Johnson, that clock is a
-
distraction, ain't it?
-
I want to talk to you,
-
brother Michael.
-
Wherever you is, come on up here.
-
Oh,
-
I want to talk to you for a minute about
-
our culture as spiritfilled believers.
-
In connection to the word of God,
-
it's our shared belief
-
as a spiritual body.
-
We do not produce a culture that
-
redefineses the word of God in our life
-
to the point that we rearrange the word
-
to fit our life instead of us
-
rearranging our life to fit the
-
requirements of the word.
-
It's the word of God that defines the
-
culture
-
that our life is to be.
-
The word of God is our blueprint for
-
living.
-
Our spiritual character is holiness unto
-
the Lord. And the world around us must
-
not be allowed to create a culture that
-
does not line up to the word of God in
-
connection to our life.
-
The culture of that world
-
has invaded so many churches
-
and it's been successful.
-
But I cannot tell you
-
that the culture of this house is
-
Pentecost.
-
>> You hear me?
-
>> It's Pentecost.
-
our traditions,
-
our customs,
-
our lifestyle.
-
Son, our society as a church,
-
our heritage as a church
-
must line up to the requirements of
-
God's word that made us a living
-
organism
-
unto the Lord.
-
I love music.
-
And you may not know this about pastor,
-
but
-
they have been times
-
that the spirit of dance has come on me
-
right in the middle of a restaurant.
-
But the culture of the world
-
cannot mandate our music
-
as it's offered up to God in worship.
-
From our outward appearance to our
-
inward relationship with God, it cannot
-
be mandated by the spirit and culture of
-
the sinful world around us.
-
I know our children, dad and moms lives
-
in this pressure cooker of acceptance,
-
but hear me, don't bow your knee to
-
anything that God has not placed his
-
seal of acceptance upon.
-
Don't bow.
-
True pastors such as the one you have in
-
the embodiment of Pastor Jesse
-
is under intense pressure
-
to compromise
-
the standard of holiness and
-
righteousness.
-
For without the standard of holiness and
-
righteousness, God said no man shall see
-
God.
-
There was once a time in the old
-
covenant and dispensation
-
that dress
-
implied holiness.
-
The abstaining of eating certain meats
-
implied not touching anything unclean.
-
But under the new covenant and new
-
dispensation of grace, we understand
-
that only man will look at the outward
-
appearance.
-
But God,
-
he looks on the heart.
-
>> And we're not to call anything offered
-
to us by God as common or unclean.
-
>> My dress does not make me holy.
-
I didn't tell my lady, but I looked this
-
week and I tried my best to find a pair
-
a pair of Bill overalls
-
I was going to wear this morning.
-
This don't make me holy.
-
>> It doesn't.
-
Your life before meeting God at an altar
-
of forgiveness might have looked ugly
-
and evil.
-
You might you might have lived in a
-
drunken super
-
of the street or you might have lived in
-
a prostitute's world
-
or you might have been a walking
-
billboard for the loc local tattoo
-
parlor or the drug dealer or the satanic
-
organization.
-
But hear me,
-
the marking of sin on our outward man or
-
the condemnation that man's tries to
-
make us feel
-
does not show the existence of the
-
bloodwashed and forgiven heart that
-
lives within.
-
It don't show it.
-
DON'T YOU CONDEMN A SAINT OF GOD BECAUSE
-
they got tattoos on their body. YOU
-
DON'T KNOW WHAT GOD SAVED THEM FROM.
-
THEY HAVE A HEART THAT'S BEEN WASHED IN
-
THE BLOOD OF JESUS. And now they are a
-
new creature in Christ Jesus.
-
>> Brand new son
-
>> sister.
-
lady.
-
>> I don't care if I was a drunk.
-
>> I don't care how many affairs I had.
-
I just let you know I'm still married to
-
my first wife.
-
I don't have to worry about other women.
-
It takes all I can do to keep up with
-
her.
-
But I want you to understand,
-
you might have robbed, you might have
-
stolen,
-
you might have even killed the unborn in
-
your womb.
-
I want you to hear me.
-
God has given you extravagant grace.
-
The spirit of God after forgiveness now
-
dwells inside of you.
-
Don't you let some old horn rimed
-
toad of a Christian come up and tell you
-
that you got to do this and you got to
-
do that and you got to dress this way
-
and you got to dress that way. No, you
-
don't. You got to just satisfy the one
-
that saved you from your past and you
-
live according to what he has instructed
-
you to live and you LIVE FOR HIM EVERY
-
DAY OF YOUR LIFE. AND I'M TELLING YOU,
-
you will make heaven your home.
-
You will.
-
I'm leaving you with this, pastor. Get
-
ready. I'm going to turn it over to you.
-
I want you to give the altar call.
-
I want you to please understand
-
>> and hear me.
-
Somebody shout liberty
-
>> concerning our past.
-
Paul,
-
I believe, was the greatest man that
-
ever walked on the face of the earth,
-
greater than Solomon.
-
And the only one that walked that was
-
greater was Jesus Christ himself.
-
>> But at one time, he was a persecutor of
-
the church.
-
>> He killed them. Pastor Scott,
-
this is what he said.
-
Sir,
-
lady,
-
you that
-
might have just been saved,
-
I want you to hear the word of the Lord
-
in Romans chapter 7 and 8
Romans 7 chapter mention
-
after coming to Jesus.
-
Paul said, "I see another law in my
-
members, waring against the law of my
-
mind
-
and bringing me into captivity
-
to the law of sin
-
which is in my members,
-
oh wretched man that I am,
-
who shall
-
deliver me
-
from this body of death?
-
Who shall
-
Romans 8:1
-
There's therefore now no condemnation to
-
them which are in Christ Jesus
-
who walk not after the flesh but after
-
the spirit. For the law of the spirit
-
and the life of Christ Jesus had made me
-
free from the law of sin and of death.
-
for what the law could not do and that
-
it was weak through the flesh. God
-
sending his own son in the likeness of
-
sinful flesh and for sin condemn sin in
-
the flesh that the righteousness of the
-
law might be fulfilled in us who walk
-
not after the flesh but after the
-
spirit.
-
after the spirit.
-
Then Jesus put a nail in the heart of
-
evil condemnation
-
when he said, "He that the son has set
-
free
-
is free indeed."
-
Not just free,
-
but free indeed.
-
Jesus
-
walked into the synagogue
-
and he picked up the word of God, the
-
scroll of Isaiah.
-
He opened his mouth, walks in on the
-
Sabbath day, and he says these words,
-
"The spirit of the Lord God is upon me."
-
Because he had anointed me to preach the
-
gospel to the poor.
-
He has sent me, brother Lynn, to heal
-
the brokenhearted,
-
to preach deliverance
-
to the captives and the recovering of
-
the sight to the blind, to set at
-
liberty them that are bruised, to preach
-
the acceptable year of the Lord.
-
He said to set at liberty,
-
everybody shout, freedom.
-
>> Freedom.
-
to free those that have been bruised,
-
to set them free. Set them free.
-
2 Corinthians 3:17, Paul said, "Now the
-
Lord is that spirit,
-
and they that worship him must worship
-
him in spirit
-
and in truth."
-
He said in Galatians 5 and1, "Now stand
-
fast therefore in the liberty
-
for with Christ has made us free and be
-
not entangled again with a yoke of
-
bondage."
-
I got to be honest with you.
-
This is not the message Robbie I wanted
-
to preach today.
-
This wasn't it.
-
But I want you to understand
-
that you have a spiritual culture and
-
heritage that burns inside of this room.
-
It burns.
-
It burns. And it's called Pentecost.
-
>> Pentecost.
-
Galatians 5 and
-
13 says, "For brethren, you've been
-
called unto liberty. Only use not
-
liberty for an occasion to other of the
-
flesh,
-
but by love serve one another.
-
Serve one another, Danny.
-
Serve one another.
-
There's something called the perfect law
-
of liberty
-
and it's found the writings of the
-
brother of our Lord in James chapter 1
-
verse 25.
-
But who so looks into the perfect law of
-
liberty and continues therein,
-
he being not a forgetful hearer, but a
-
doer of the word, this sha this man
-
shall be blessed in his deed.
-
I want you to stand, please, all over
-
the building.
-
Your pastor is coming.
-
I want you to please hear me.
-
We are the church.
-
That's who we are.
-
We are the undefiled church of the Lord
-
Jesus Christ.
-
Does that mean we never fail? No,
-
that does not mean that.
-
That means that if we do fail,
-
we have an advocate with the father
-
and we can go back to him, pastor, and
-
ask the Lord to forgive us
-
and he will forgive us.
-
Freedom is an amazing thing.
-
I don't know if you've ever had a jail
-
ministry or not,
-
but I can remember running a five-day
-
count meeting
-
in a high level state penitentiary.
-
And every time I'd walk in and they had
-
checked me out and they had slammed that
-
door behind me,
-
I couldn't wait to get out on the other
-
side.
-
There's a liberty that we have.
-
We are the church
-
of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
That's who we are.
-
And I'm not ashamed of it.
-
I am not ashamed of what we are in God.
-
For I say to you that I have set you at
-
liberty today. I have set my mark upon
-
you. You are my church. You are my
-
incorruptible seed. Walk in this
-
authority. Walk in this power. Walk in
-
this freedom. And I will anoint you to
-
bring hope to those that are hopeless.
-
Freedom to those that are bound. And I
-
declare that I will move through you and
-
I will touch those that need me most,
-
says the King of Kings and the Lord of
-
Lords.
-
Can we just give God praise all over the
-
house? Come on. Can we give him glory
-
all over the house?
