  1. I'm just excited. I feel like preaching.

  2. Anybody feel like just getting in the

  3. word with me? Come on. I'm I'm just

  4. excited. I I've been hanging on to this

  5. message for about a month and a half

  6. now. And um the Lord finally gave me the

  7. release to go [music] ahead and preach

  8. this. Um and as we were uh in worship a

  9. few moments ago, I feel like the Lord

  10. gave me a release to preach something

  11. else next week. Um there for a minute, I

  12. got a little scared. I thought I was

  13. fixing have to preach something I really

  14. wasn't prepared for this morning. But I

  15. felt like through the things that were

  16. said and how the Holy Spirit moved that

  17. he gave me the message for next week as

  18. well. But today um I feel like

  19. delivering a message to the church. I

  20. feel like delivering a warning call to

  21. the church, but not a warning call as in

  22. how dare you. A warning call as in look

  23. up for your redemption draws nigh. Come

  24. on. How many ready to receive the word

  25. of God today? Can we take our Bibles and

  26. stand to our feet all over the house?

  27. Turn with me to Matthew chapter number

  28. 25.

  29. Matthew 25. And I there's several

  30. several verses that we're going to read

  31. here. Uh but as you are turning there, I

  32. have two beautiful Bibles that I have

  33. the honor to dedicate today. Uh one of

  34. these I I don't know if I saw her or

  35. Yes, I did. There's Miss Ava right

  36. there. I got a Bible for you, girl, that

  37. I am dedicating from precious uh sister

  38. Tracy Francis [music] and her man Randy

  39. that they they dedic or give to you,

  40. gift to you today. And then also another

  41. Bible for brother and sister Pedan.

  42. Amen. Uh I don't know if they even know

  43. this or not, but their children got them

  44. a Bible. They I think their children

  45. said they've gotten each of you Bibles

  46. before individually, but they wanted to

  47. make sure you had a Bible together. And

  48. so today, I have the honor of dedicating

  49. both of these Bibles unto [music] the

  50. Lord for his glory and his honor. And I

  51. could think of no greater couple and no

  52. greater young lady to be able to

  53. dedicate Bibles to today cuz I believe

  54. that God's got something for them. Amen.

  55. How many believe that God's got

  56. something for them today? Hallelujah.

  57. So, let's let's dive into the word this

  58. morning. Matthew chapter 25. When you

    Matthew 25 chapter mention

  59. get there, say, "I got it." You guys are

  60. really good. I gave y'all an easy one,

  61. though. It's the first of the New

  62. Testament. It wouldn't be hard to find

  63. that. start getting one of them tiny

  64. little prophets. You might be like,

  65. "Hold up, pastor." Start reading verse

  66. number one. The Bible says this. "Then

  67. the kingdom of heaven shall be likened

  68. to 10 virgins whose took their lamps and

  69. went out to meet the bridegroom." Now,

  70. five of them were wise and five were

  71. foolish. Well, how about that? Jesus

  72. just went ahead and said it. Come on,

  73. somebody. I don't know about you, but I

  74. want him to call me wise. I don't want

  75. him to call me foolish. Can I get a

  76. witness in the house? The Bible says in

  77. verse three, "Those who were foolish

  78. took their lamps and took no oil with

  79. them. But the wise took oil in their

  80. vessels with their lamps." Read that

  81. again. The foolish took their lamps and

  82. took no oil or no extra oil with them,

  83. but the wise took oil in their vessels

  84. with their lamps. Verse five. But while

  85. the bridegroom was delayed,

  86. they all slumbered and slept. The wise

  87. and the foolish fell asleep. We going to

  88. talk about that. Some people got a

  89. misunderstanding there, but we going we

  90. going to clarify some things. But then

  91. he said in verse number six, "And at

  92. midnight a CRY WAS HEARD, BEHOLD, the

  93. bridegroom is coming." Come on,

  94. somebody. Go out to meet him. Then all

  95. somebody say all. All those virgins, all

  96. the five that were wise and all the five

  97. that were foolish, they woke up, trimmed

  98. their lamps. Then the foolish said to

  99. the wise, "Give us some of your oil, for

  100. our lamps are going out." But the wise

  101. answers said, "No." Look at your

  102. neighbor. Say, "No."

  103. No is a complete sentence.

  104. They said, "No, lest there should not be

  105. enough for us and you, but go rather to

  106. those who sell and buy for yourselves."

  107. And while they went to buy, the Bible

  108. says the bridegroom came, and those who

  109. were ready went in with him to the

  110. wedding, and the door was shut.

  111. Verse 11 says, "Afterward the other

  112. virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord,

  113. open to us." But he answered and

  114. said,"Assuredly I say to you, I do not

  115. know you."

  116. And then Jesus brings it down to a

  117. landing here in his dissertation to

  118. those that were listening. He said,

  119. "Watch therefore,

  120. for you know neither the day nor the

  121. hour in which the Son of Man is coming."

  122. Can I read that last verse one more

  123. time? I think that's the that's the

  124. absolute uh climax of this chapter in

  125. this story. Watch therefore, for you

  126. know neither the day nor the hour in

  127. which the Son of Man is coming. I feel

  128. like I've got a word for somebody in the

  129. house and I believe it's going to be a

  130. double-edged sword today. We're going to

  131. cut going in and cut coming out, but

  132. it's going to be for our good. But the

  133. Holy Spirit gave me this thought and

  134. began to speak to me. Not only

  135. prophetically, but where I'm walking and

  136. where some of you are walking in this

  137. room this morning. And that is simply

  138. this. Running on empty. Look at your

  139. neighbor. Say, "We're not going to run

  140. on empty." Come on. We're not going to

  141. run on empty. Can y'all pray with me?

  142. And let's ask for the blessings of God.

  143. Lord, we thank you for your word. We

  144. thank you, Lord, that this word is

  145. forever settled in heaven and in earth.

  146. And today, I'm thankful to dedicate this

  147. Bible, Lord, unto you for Ava. And I'm

  148. thankful to dedicate this Bible unto you

  149. for two champions and generals of the

  150. faith, brother and sister Pete. And

  151. Lord, I pray that you would open these

  152. words, Lord. Let it be uh strength to

  153. them. Let it be nourishment to them.

  154. Lord, let them gain understanding and

  155. fresh revelation. Lord, we give you

  156. praise. And Lord, in this room, I pray

  157. that our hearts would be right and we

  158. will be ready for the return of the

  159. King. Lord, we know you're coming and we

  160. want to be ready. Even if we're running

  161. on empty today, I believe before we

  162. leave this house, we're going to be

  163. filled with the glory of God. We give

  164. you praise and give you glory for it. In

  165. Jesus name we pray. And everybody says,

  166. "Amen and amen." Can you give the Lord a

  167. hand of praise this morning? Hallelujah.

  168. As you take your seats in the presence

  169. of the Lord,

  170. running on

  171. empty. Running on empty. The fact is

  172. that when we see Jesus begin to talk and

  173. begin to teach, not only to his

  174. disciples and not only to those that

  175. would listen, but if you understand

  176. correctly when Jesus began to speak, he

  177. didn't just speak a miss or just try to

  178. throw words out. He knew who his

  179. audience was.

  180. Jesus was not just shooting in the dark

  181. and hoping that he hit the target. No,

  182. he knew his disciples were listening. He

  183. knew that those that were searching and

  184. seeking for truth were listening. But if

  185. I'm being honest, Jesus also knew that

  186. the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the

  187. religious leaders were listening. And

  188. what he did intentionally many times,

  189. and you'll see this around this area of

  190. the book of Matthew, Jesus will start

  191. his story, his parable with something

  192. like this that we see today in this

  193. chapter 25 verse one. Then the kingdom

  194. of heaven shall be likened. What Jesus

  195. was doing in this moment anytime you see

  196. this is Jesus was intentionally creating

  197. distance between the kingdom of heaven

  198. and the distorted view of the kingdom of

  199. heaven that was on this earth. Because

  200. you see Jesus didn't come just to fit

  201. into everybody else's mold. But Jesus

  202. came to actually break the mold of the

  203. religious society that was around him.

  204. Can I get an amen? I don't know about

  205. you, but I'm thankful that Jesus was not

  206. afraid to step up to the plate and let

  207. people know. I know you think it's this

  208. way, but let me tell you what my father

  209. says about the kingdom that is coming to

  210. this earth and that is even here right

  211. now. Because here's what I know. IF HE

  212. HAD NOT CAME IN and disturbed the

  213. religious order, then today we would

  214. still BE SACRIFICING BULLS. We would

  215. still be sacrificing all this mess and

  216. have to go into a physical realm. BUT

  217. I'M THANKFUL HE SHIFTED IT FROM A

  218. PHYSICAL VIEW TO NOW IT is a spiritual

  219. birth that each one of us can have

  220. because of that. Today I have been set

  221. free by the blood of the one and only

  222. lamb OF GOD. IS THERE ANYBODY ELSE

  223. THANKFUL you've been set free by the

  224. blood OF JESUS CHRIST. THE ONE WHO

  225. WASHES AWAY YOUR SIN. THE ONE WHO TAKES

  226. EVERY STAIN IN YOUR LIFE AND MAKES IT

  227. BRAND NEW. THE ONE WHO TAKES EVERY SIN

  228. AND EVERY MISTAKE AND WASHES IT AWAY. IS

  229. THERE ANYBODY IN THE HOUSE THAT WOULD

  230. SAY, "I'M THANKFUL. I'M WASHED BY THE

  231. BLOOD OF A NEW KINGDOM THAT CAME THROUGH

  232. MY SAVIOR Jesus Christ." For the fact

  233. is, they would like for everybody, and

  234. I'm trying to calm down. I got a long

  235. way to go. They would like for everybody

  236. to stay in the religious pin that they

  237. built because it was for their selfish

  238. gain.

  239. But the fact is, the kingdom is not for

  240. our selfish gain. It may be for our

  241. gain, but it's not for us to say, "Look

  242. at me." But the kingdom is so we can

  243. point back to one name and let people

  244. know he is the one that can save.

  245. And so today we have to understand there

  246. is a difference between someone else's

  247. idea of the kingdom and Jesus's idea of

  248. the kingdom. Matter of fact, let's say

  249. it like this. Jesus came to turn it

  250. upside down.

  251. >> He came to turn it upside down.

  252. Basically the people that sat on the

  253. front row, he said, "I'm not really

  254. interested in you. I want the people who

  255. are begging on the side of the road.

  256. >> Come on, somebody. Can Can we just talk

  257. real for just a moment? The fact is many

  258. of us, if we would really sit back and

  259. take out valuation of our life, we were

  260. the beggar sitting on the side of the

  261. road. And if it had not been for a

  262. savior that came by and said, "You know

  263. what? Silver and gold have I none, but

  264. such as I have, I give to you." Come on.

  265. I'm thankful he gave me something that's

  266. better than money.

  267. May we never forget that it's not this

  268. kingdom is not big I's and little U's,

  269. >> but this kingdom is thank God that I'm

  270. saved by the grace of God. Thank God

  271. that he redeemed me from the clutches of

  272. sin. THANK GOD THAT HE CAME to take

  273. crooked paths and make them straight

  274. because he is that kind of God. Look at

  275. your neighbor and say, "We serve that

  276. God."

  277. Now, I want you to holler this statement

  278. with me. And I want you to holler at

  279. Pentecostal style.

  280. Not not I don't want Presbyterian style.

  281. I don't want I don't want, you know, God

  282. bless all my Presbyterian brothers and

  283. sisters, Episcopal, all that stuff. And

  284. even Baptist, I got some great Baptist

  285. friends. I even text our our Baptist

  286. friend, pastor that's right here in the

  287. in the city with us, and I say, "Bro,

  288. preach the word today." And I'm so proud

  289. of you. I'm so thankful for you because

  290. I know he stands for righteousness. But

  291. here's what I want you to do. I want you

  292. to holler Pentecostal style. And I want

  293. you to holler this right here. Say, "The

  294. King is coming."

  295. >> The king is coming.

  296. >> That was all right. THAT WAS PRETTY

  297. GOOD. LET'S TRY THAT one more time. Say,

  298. "The King is coming."

  299. >> And here's what we have to understand. A

  300. great writer named Steven Cvy. I think a

  301. statement that he made in one of his

  302. books that he was writing and he it was

  303. something that I read that I thought was

  304. very incredible. That is something so

  305. prophetic to this moment right now. He

  306. wrote a statement, you must begin with

  307. the end in mind. You you must begin with

  308. the end in mind. And that's exactly what

  309. we're going to do today because I think

  310. Jesus did the same thing when he

  311. preached this parable. We see this in

  312. verse number 13. And we understand that

  313. the purposes and the precious savior and

  314. the words that he gave us was watch

  315. therefore for you know neither the day

  316. nor the hour in which the son of man is

  317. coming. The truth is today that many

  318. people would like to say, "Let's just

  319. walk through the whole text and let's

  320. gain understanding before we get to the

  321. end." But you can't understand what God

  322. is trying to say through the words of

  323. Jesus if you don't understand the

  324. endgame. So, we have to understand

  325. everything we're about to talk about is

  326. to point us to the man Jesus that he's

  327. about to return cuz the king is coming.

  328. How do you know? Because chapter 24,

  329. Matthew goes in this. He spent many

  330. points and many many scriptures pointing

  331. people to Jesus's return. He talked

  332. about the signs of the time. He talked

  333. about the end of the age. He talked

  334. about the tribulation. He talked about

  335. the coming of the son of man. He talked

  336. about faithfulness versus faithlessness.

  337. He talked about being prepared and being

  338. faithful. Because the fact is this

  339. morning, I've got no other message for

  340. you other than this. The king is coming.

  341. Jesus is about to call his bride home.

  342. He is looking for a place that has made

  343. themsel ready. He's looking for

  344. believers that did not come in to play

  345. church but came IN TO SAY, "HOW CAN I be

  346. prepared for the coming of THE LORD?"

  347. AND I got to echo it one more time

  348. because it is my message. The King is

  349. COMING AND IT'S TIME FOR US TO GET

  350. READY. HE SAID THIS. HE SAID, "LIFT up

  351. your heads for to the hills from WHICH

  352. COMETH YOUR HELP." BECAUSE YOUR HELP

  353. COMES FROM the Lord. There will come a

  354. DAY IN OUR LIFE THAT WE WILL BE GOING

  355. ABOUT the business of the king and we

  356. will heal hear a trumpet blast from

  357. heaven and it will make the DEAD IN

  358. CHRIST RISE FIRST. THE BIBLE SAYS then

  359. we who are alive and remain will be

  360. caught up together to MEET THEM IN THE

  361. CLOUDS AND SO SHALL WE EVER BE with the

  362. Lord. You can argue with me and say

  363. pre-trip, mid-trip, post-trip. It don't

  364. matter which one of THOSE THREE IT

  365. HAPPENS IN. THE FACT IS AT SOME POINT

  366. THE TRUMPET'S GOING TO BLAST AND JESUS

  367. IS GOING TO CALL HIS CHURCH HOME. I

  368. DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU. IS ANYBODY READY

  369. FOR JESUS TO RETURN? HAVE YOU PREPARED

  370. YOUR GARMENTS? ARE YOU SPOTLESS? ARE YOU

  371. WHITE AS SNOW? HAVE YOU GOTTEN IT ALL OF

  372. THE BLOOD? IS THERE UNFORGIVENESS IN

  373. YOUR HEART THAT'S GOT TO GET GOD IN THE

  374. MIDDLE OF IT AND GET IT OUT? IS THERE

  375. ANYBODY PREPARED? IF YOU PREPARE, ONE,

  376. TWO, THREE, GIVE THE KING A PRAISE in

  377. the house.

  378. Jesus is about to CALL HIS BRIDE HOME.

  379. BUT THEN chapter 25 begins with a

  380. conscious effort to make people take

  381. account for their lives.

  382. Because the fact is we cannot read the

  383. word of God as a fairy tale or a story.

  384. We must read it as instructions and

  385. guidelines and and boundaries for our

  386. heart and our life so that we can be

  387. prepared. Every piece of this word from

  388. the very beginning, Genesis 1, all the

  389. way through Revelation, can I tell you,

  390. it is breathed upon and inspired by the

  391. Holy Spirit to transform our lives so

  392. that we can be examples of who Christ is

  393. and understand his his calling to us and

  394. understand his purpose for our life and

  395. helping us get prepared. Because you

  396. see, the story of the wedding that

  397. brings attention to the preparedness for

  398. the coming of the Lord is recorded in

  399. chapter 25. His instructions for all of

  400. us were watched there for. But for us to

  401. fully grasp what Jesus is trying to help

  402. us understand, we must first gain an

  403. understanding of first century Jewish

  404. weddings. A Jewish wedding typically

  405. unfolded in three major stages with the

  406. fourth being the feast or the

  407. celebration. The first one is the

  408. betroal stage. Somebody say betro.

  409. This was much more than our modern

  410. engagement. This wasn't just people

  411. going down to the beach with a

  412. photographer hid in the sand dunes and

  413. you exchange a ring and say, "Will you

  414. marry me?" Come on. That's good and

  415. that's beautiful and that is romantic.

  416. Especially whenever you get pedals all

  417. the way down to a little fire on the

  418. beach and say, "Oh, girl, will you marry

  419. me?" Absolutely. You know the answer is

  420. yes before you get there. I remember

  421. when I asked my girl to marry me. I was

  422. so nervous, y'all. I I just I was acting

  423. like a a cat on a hot tin roof. Can I

  424. get a amen? I was I I knew she was going

  425. to say yes, but there was that little

  426. piece in the back of my mind. I was

  427. thinking maybe she going to say no. And

  428. then what am I going to do? That's going

  429. to be embarrassing. We already got

  430. concert tickets. I'm about to pay for

  431. this really expensive meal that I've

  432. taken one bite out of cuz I can't even

  433. eat anything. I'm so nervous. But I

  434. remember in that restaurant, it was one

  435. it was a place we didn't even belong. I

  436. don't know why we were there. I didn't

  437. have the money. I just figured out maybe

  438. there's a credit card that'll make me

  439. let me make this happen. But I got up in

  440. there. I swiped that thing. I I looked

  441. at for prices, y'all. It was one of the

  442. restaurants that just has like a solid

  443. number beside. I was used to like

  444. $19.99. Come on, somebody. But when I

  445. got to my steak, it was like 58 dots.

  446. Come on. I was like, "Oh my god." And

  447. this has been a long time ago, so you

  448. can imagine what the price is now. But I

  449. said, "Lord, you going to have to help

  450. me in this moment." And the uh the I say

  451. the usher, the the waiter come by. He

  452. ripped that thing. He ripped the table

  453. back. And I dropped down to one knee.

  454. And I said, "Girl, I want you to marry

  455. me. Please don't tell me." I'm kidding.

  456. Please don't say no. But in that moment,

  457. she said yes. We kissed. It was

  458. beautiful and the whole entire

  459. restaurant went up. It was a beautiful

  460. moment. But what I want you to

  461. understand is that the betroal stage

  462. that was in a first century Jewish

  463. wedding was so much more than our modern

  464. engagement. The groom's father would

  465. negotiate the marriage covenant. And a

  466. bride price was paid for that bride on

  467. behalf of that groom. The covenant was

  468. sealed often with a shared cup of wine.

  469. And though the couple did not yet live

  470. together, they were they were legally at

  471. that moment husband and wife. Now look,

  472. don't get no bride ideas. Any of y'all

  473. that are engaged, you got to go all the

  474. way through and sign on the dotted line.

  475. Can I get a amen?

  476. >> Oh, come on, somebody. I think it's

  477. still a good thing if men and women are

  478. going to live together, they need to get

  479. married. Can I get a witness in the

  480. house?

  481. >> All right. Now, listen. Adjust your halo

  482. for just a second. I think we need to

  483. get things right. But I want you to

  484. understand that even in that time in the

  485. first century Jewish wedding, if they

  486. were to break that engagement, it meant

  487. that they would have to go through the

  488. process of divorce because they were

  489. already legally married. This

  490. immediately reminds me of Christ and his

  491. church. That is us. Jesus paid the best

  492. price for the bride and that is you and

  493. I by his own blood. Can I get a witness

  494. in the house? I want you to understand

  495. not only that, he established the new

  496. covenant, our marriage covenant with the

  497. cup that was in the New Testament

  498. talking about his blood. And then the

  499. church is presently betrothed to Christ.

  500. We are married to the king and we are

  501. ever more anticipating and preparing

  502. oursel for the coming of the Lord. That

  503. is the betroal stage. But then you have

  504. stage number two and that is the

  505. preparation stage. After the covenant

  506. was struck between the bride and the

  507. groom and the price was paid. The bride

  508. price was paid. The groom returned to

  509. his father's house. His responsibility

  510. was to prepare a dwelling place for his

  511. bride. The bride remained at her

  512. father's house. And watch this. The

  513. responsibility of the groom was to

  514. prepare a place. But the responsibility

  515. of the bride was not to predict the day

  516. that her husband would return. Her

  517. responsibility was to stay prepared.

  518. Woo! Come on, somebody. Some of y'all

  519. already know where I'm going, but we

  520. gonna go there anyways. This explains

  521. Jesus's words in John 14 where he said,

  522. "I go to prepare a place for you." I

  523. don't know about you, I'm thankful my

  524. God's going to prepare a place for me.

  525. Come on. Praise God. Somebody say amen

  526. right there. Come on.

  527. This reminds us that Jesus paid the

  528. ultimate price, but it shifts us over

  529. the preparation preparation stage. Her

  530. responsibility was not to predict the

  531. day that her husband will return, but

  532. her responsibility responsibility rather

  533. was to prepare. The groom, watch this,

  534. often spent close to a year preparing

  535. for her br for his bride. He spent

  536. nearly a year preparing the room that he

  537. had to be able to make sure that his

  538. bride had a place to dwell. Because

  539. here's what I want you to know. He was

  540. not going to bring her back and say,

  541. "We're going to sleep in a tent

  542. outside."

  543. Come on. I don't know about you, but I'm

  544. thankful that my God said, "I'm not

  545. going to just put you in a tent right

  546. beside the golden streets." But he has

  547. gone to prepare a place for you and I. A

  548. mansion that you and I can live in

  549. that's got my name on the front door.

  550. Come on, somebody. I may not have a

  551. mansion on this earth, but I promise you

  552. this. As I serve the living GOD OF

  553. HEAVEN, I'VE got a mansion in glory

  554. that's waiting on me. You've got a

  555. mansion in glory waiting on you. And I'm

  556. thankful we serve a God who loves us

  557. that much. But the the the more

  558. fascinating part of the first century

  559. Jewish wedding was simply this, that the

  560. groom himself usually did not determine

  561. when he could even go back and retrieve

  562. his bride. His father had to come and

  563. inspect the room that he prepared. And

  564. only when the father declared it is

  565. complete, would he release his son to go

  566. get his bride. I want you to see what

  567. Matthew 24:36 says. of that day, an

    Matthew 24:36

  568. hour. No one knows. But my father only

  569. knows the day. Can you see the beautiful

  570. picture of where we live and what we're

  571. reading right here? Jesus don't even

  572. know, but the father knows because he's

  573. watching his son prepare for his bride,

  574. but I believe that that time is coming

  575. very, very soon. And at some point, the

  576. father's going to look over at the SON

  577. AND SAY, "I KNOW YOU WAITED LONG ENOUGH.

  578. I KNOW THEY'VE ENDURED HARDSHIP long

  579. enough. Son, GO GET YOUR BRIDE. GO MAKE

  580. SURE THAT THEY are ready. I DON'T KNOW.

  581. IS THERE ANYBODY IN THE HOUSE THAT'S

  582. STILL READY for the KING TO RETURN? HE'S

  583. GOT SOMETHING FOR US. ALL WE'RE WAITING

  584. ON HIM TO DO IS ANNOUNCE HIS RETURN.

  585. SO, the preparation stage, but then the

  586. third stage before the feast would take

  587. place was the arrival of the bridegroom.

  588. We have to we got to change microphones.

  589. This thing's about to drive me nuts. I'm

  590. about to slam it somewhere. [snorts] The

  591. arrival of the bridegroom. This is where

  592. we find Matthew 25. And we see it take

  593. place in this situation. The groom would

  594. arrive unexpectedly.

  595. Often the groom would arrive at night

  596. with friends, with shouting, with music,

  597. with trumpets. In other words, they came

  598. in making a ruckus. Can I get an amen?

  599. They didn't come in just quiet saying,

  600. "Well, I hope nobody's really paying

  601. attention to us. Let's just sneak

  602. through." No, he wanted everybody to

  603. know I showed up and I'm here. Come on.

  604. I know you've been waiting on me for a

  605. year. I know you've been waiting on me

  606. for decades, but I want you to know

  607. Jesus is not GOING TO COME BACK just as

  608. a passive king. He is coming back as a

  609. triumphant king. He is a lord of lords.

  610. He's not come. Come on, somebody. And

  611. that takes my mind back to Paul when he

  612. was beaten wrongfully by the Roman

  613. government. And they said, "Oh, now that

  614. you've done been beaten, praise God for

  615. whatever you gave me." Oh, that'll work

  616. right there. And give me a little bit in

  617. the monitors. It'll be great right now.

  618. I'm sorry. I'm being demanding. I love

  619. all y'all. Y'all are so amazing this

  620. morning. But I want to say this. It

  621. takes me back to Paul whenever he was

  622. beaten by the Roman government and

  623. things begin to happen and they said,

  624. "You know what? We beat you. We didn't

  625. know he was a Roman citizen, but we're

  626. going to ask you to leave quietly." And

  627. Paul said, "Oh, absolutely not. I will

  628. not leave quietly, but I will make noise

  629. going out the city and let them know who

  630. my God is and let them know that I have

  631. overcome. I want to tell you Jesus is

  632. not coming back quiet. He's coming back

  633. with a loud shout to let the devil know,

  634. I'VE COME TO TAKE BACK EVERY TERRITORY.

  635. I'VE come to take back EVERY COME ON.

  636. I'VE COME TO take back EVERY SOUL, EVERY

  637. LIFE THROUGH THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF

  638. JESUS. HE'S ALREADY OVERCOME. AND I

  639. DECLARE HE'S ABOUT TO COME WITH A SHOUT.

  640. HE'S LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY WHO'S READY

  641. for the shout.

  642. The cry would ring out through the

  643. village or wherever HE SHOWED UP.

  644. BEHOLD, THE BRIDEGROOM is coming. And

  645. immediately, everyone involved had to be

  646. ready. Believe it or not, they didn't

  647. have advanced text message warning back

  648. then.

  649. Believe it or not, they may have been

  650. scrolling on Instagram and looking

  651. through Tik Tok and they didn't get a

  652. text message that the bridegroom is

  653. coming. There was no schedule that they

  654. had to keep. There was no warning. There

  655. was nothing there. But that is the

  656. IMPORTANT PART OF THIS story is that

  657. preparation was everything when you're

  658. waiting on the bridegroom.

  659. People will look at this and say, "Wait

  660. a second, pastor. If the king is coming,

  661. then he'll give us warning signs." He

  662. already did

  663. there. There's no other signs that have

  664. to be given before the trumpet blasts.

  665. There's nothing else that has to go on.

  666. That's why I have to preach this message

  667. because I love you enough to let you

  668. know I don't want you to miss the king

  669. when he comes.

  670. >> I want to make sure that we're not just

  671. going to have Holy Ghost church in here.

  672. We're not just going to shout ALL THOSE

  673. THINGS ARE GOOD. BUT WHEN THE TRUMPET

  674. ACTUALLY BLASTS, I want this room to be

  675. empty in Jesus name.

  676. >> Come on. If you want TO KNOW YOUR

  677. PASTOR'S HEART, my heart is that when

  678. the trumpet blasts, they won't be one of

  679. US KNOCKING DOWN THAT DOOR OUT THERE

  680. SAYING, "I NEED ANSWERS." BUT I'LL LOOK

  681. AT YOU AND I'LL SEE YOU FLOATING IN THE

  682. CLOUDS WITH ME AND WE'LL BE STANDING

  683. BEFORE THE KING. COME ON. THAT'S THE

  684. MATTER OF MY HEART TODAY. I WANT US TO

  685. BE READY for the king. The king is

  686. coming.

  687. Look at your neighbor. Tell him again,

  688. the king is coming.

  689. So the question is, who were the 10

  690. virgins?

  691. I want you to know these were not random

  692. women that just showed up.

  693. They were a matter of fact they were not

  694. uninvited. They were very much invited.

  695. They had the wedding garments on. They

  696. had the ability to let their light

  697. shine. And we see what's going on. Most

  698. likely these were unmarried bridesmaids

  699. that are attendance to the bride who

  700. possessed the responsibility to

  701. accompany the bride to meet the

  702. bridegroom and then also to welcome the

  703. bridegroom into the wedding procession

  704. and walk him into the feast leading the

  705. way. They were the official wedding

  706. party lighting the runway for the groom

  707. so that they could pierce the darkness

  708. toward the marriage feast so they would

  709. know which direction to go. They weren't

  710. random people that just showed up and

  711. said, "Oh, I hope there's a guy that

  712. comes." And start shouting.

  713. Come on. They were quote unquote in the

  714. party. They were already invited. They

  715. had a seat at the table. And I want you

  716. to see this. Why were the lamps so

  717. important? Because we could talk about

  718. the bride uh the the the bride's maze.

  719. We could talk about these 10 virgins. We

  720. could see that. But then we have to

  721. understand why the lamp was so

  722. important. Because each lamp, I want you

  723. to understand, held a few key elements

  724. such as olive oil, a flax wick, and

  725. enough oil for a limited amount of

  726. burning time. [snorts] These specific

  727. lamps only produced a modest light. They

  728. were one of those small handheld lamps

  729. that they that were made out of clay

  730. they would hold in their hands. It

  731. wasn't some huge torch that they held in

  732. their arm. It wasn't that. It was a

  733. small little lamp that had a wick out

  734. the end of it and oil inside and it

  735. would burn so that it would produce

  736. light. But I want you to understand the

  737. lamps were important because without

  738. oil, the flame quickly died. And a lamp

  739. without oil becomes only a piece of

  740. pottery.

  741. Did you know you and I, we are flesh? We

  742. are made out of the dust of the ground.

  743. And without the oil of the Holy Spirit,

  744. we are just a lump of clay. Can I get a

  745. amen?

  746. >> Oh, but I'm looking at a church this

  747. morning that's more than just a lump of

  748. clay. Come on. I'm looking at a

  749. powerhouse of a come on a spiritual

  750. house called Liberty Culture Church. And

  751. I declare in the name of Jesus that we

  752. are more than just a lump of clay, but

  753. we are vessels in the hands of a master

  754. potter that is standing up and saying,

  755. "I know in whom I have believed and I'm

  756. persuaded that my God is able."

  757. So why if we have 10 virgins here and we

  758. have lamps and we have oil, why if they

  759. have oil in their lamp, why would they

  760. carry extra oil? You see, the wise

  761. virgins carried extra oil because they

  762. anticipated there being a delay.

  763. Anybody that's ever flown commercial,

  764. you have to go into it expecting a

  765. delay.

  766. It is one of the most frustrating things

  767. on the planet when you are there saying

  768. I know I can make it back in time but

  769. then they text you and say your flight

  770. has been bumped back 45 minutes and you

  771. start looking at your phone and start

  772. casting devils out saying in the name of

  773. Jesus

  774. it's fine and well when it happens one

  775. time but when it happens twice

  776. and then it happens a third time and

  777. then you start calculating saying well

  778. if I land in Atlanta at this time that

  779. is way beyond the takeoff time of my

  780. last flight. So, there's no way I'm

  781. going to make it home. That's when you

  782. got to make a move and say, "I got to

  783. prepare." Come on, somebody. That

  784. happened to me a couple weeks ago when I

  785. was in Ohio and I was coming back. There

  786. were storms all around Ohio. There were

  787. storms in Atlanta and it kept getting

  788. bumped back and bumped back. And I'll be

  789. honest with you, I'm kind of glad it did

  790. cuz I don't want to fly through a storm

  791. anyways. Can I get an amen? I'm already

  792. ner Y'all know my story about that. When

  793. it starts rocking, I start moving my

  794. feet thinking I'm the one moving the

  795. plane. Come on. I get nervous about that

  796. kind of stuff. But, I had to make a

  797. decision. All right, I got to shift this

  798. thing or I almost just Hey, we're going

  799. to try to make it through Atlanta and

  800. try to make it back to VPS. It'll be all

  801. right. But can I tell you, you have to

  802. be willing to expect delay in your life.

  803. I know EVERYBODY'S LIKE, "PASTOR, PREACH

  804. IT SUDDENLY IS COMING." OH, I'M GOING TO

  805. PREACH about suddenly in just a minute.

  806. But before suddenly comes, delay has to

  807. happen

  808. because what what does what does the

  809. word say? It says patience.

  810. Come on. Some Oh, y'all don't like

  811. patience. I done lost half the people,

  812. babe. I don't I'll just preach to you

  813. guys on the front row because when

  814. people start preaching about suddenly

  815. and breakthrough miracles, oh, we can

  816. turn the house up, baby. We can get on

  817. the organ and we can go crazy. But when

  818. somebody starts talking about delay and

  819. patience and how we have to endure like

  820. a good soldier, man, what are we doing?

  821. Can I tell you? He's taking those

  822. delays. He's taking those moments of

  823. having patience. He's taking those

  824. moments of endurance. And he is

  825. perfecting something in you that may not

  826. be for this season right now. But listen

  827. to me this morning. It's for the season

  828. you're about to step into.

  829. >> Oh, come on, somebody. I'm not here def

  830. defending it and PUSHING BACK AND

  831. SAYING, "GOD, I WISH YOU WOULD NOT

  832. DELAY." OH, ABSOLUTELY NOT. I'M ACTUALLY

  833. IN THE BOAT SAYING, "GOD, if you wanted

  834. to lay me a little bit longer and work

  835. on me, THAT'S ALL RIGHT, CUZ I KNOW that

  836. you're working a far MORE EXCEEDING AND

  837. ETERNAL WEIGHT of glory. IS THERE

  838. ANYBODY ELSE IN THE HOUSE THAT WOULD

  839. SAY, "I KNOW GOD'S WORKING IT OUT FOR MY

  840. GOOD. AND IF I GOT TO GO THROUGH DELAY,

  841. THEN I'LL SIT THERE AND WATCH MY WATCH.

  842. I'LL READ THE WORD. I'LL PREPARE IN THE

  843. MIDST OF IT BECAUSE I KNOW HE'S got

  844. something great on the other side."

  845. Delay

  846. is the worst.

  847. But they anticipated delay. How do I

  848. know they anticipated? Because the Bible

  849. says they brought extra oil.

  850. They knew they were going to sit for a

  851. while. They had no knowledge, watch

  852. this, of when the bridegroom was coming.

  853. AND MAYBE THIS IS WHY THE LORD CALLED

  854. them wise.

  855. The five wise versions. Watch this.

  856. because they prepared for a long wait.

  857. This was the difference Jesus was

  858. highlighting in the story. The foolish

  859. virgins expected convenience, but the

  860. wise prepared for uncertainty.

  861. Now watch this. It took faith for them

  862. to prepare for uncertainty because when

  863. everybody was gathering up their

  864. supplies, five of them did the same

  865. thing. They they both all 10 of them did

  866. one thing the same. They all grabbed the

  867. lamp. They all put oil in it. They all

  868. put the wick and they all lit it. But

  869. when the five foolish said, "I'm just

  870. excited to get there. Let's make sure we

  871. make it." The five wise said, "Hold up a

  872. second. I'm going to do something that

  873. you're not willing to do."

  874. Come on, somebody. Can I preach to some

  875. real folk in the house this morning? I

  876. want to let you know that sometimes if

  877. you want everything God has for you, you

  878. got to be willing to do what everybody

  879. else is not willing to do. You got to be

  880. willing to praise when nobody Oh my God,

  881. I feel the Holy Spirit right here. You

  882. got to be willing to activate your faith

  883. and give God glory when nobody else will

  884. do it. You got to be willing to stand up

  885. whenever everything's going wrong in

  886. your life and saying, "I know in whom I

  887. have believed and I'm persuaded that

  888. he's able to keep that which I've

  889. committed to him against that day." When

  890. all hell IS COMING AGAINST MY LIFE, I've

  891. got to stand flatfooted and say, "I

  892. don't understand WHY I'M GOING THROUGH

  893. WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH, but God, I'M

  894. GOING TO TRUST YOU IN THE MIDST OF IT.

  895. I'M WILLING TO DO WHAT NOBODY ELSE IS

  896. WILLING TO DO, CUZ I KNOW God's got

  897. something for my life." Look at your

  898. neighbor and say, "Are you willing? Are

  899. you Are you really willing?" Because

  900. faith is the key in this entire

  901. scripture. The five foolish did not have

  902. faith that they were going to endure.

  903. The five wise said, "I'm going to

  904. prepare like I have faith." Because

  905. watch this. Preparation is faith.

  906. Behaving like God's promise is already

  907. on the way. Come on, somebody. I want TO

  908. KNOW, HAS ANYBODY GOT FAITH THAT what

  909. God's COMMITTED TO YOU, WHAT GOD HAS

  910. PROMISED TO YOU, THAT YOU'RE WILLING to

  911. stand up and give God PRAISE THIS

  912. MORNING? I SAY THIS AGAIN, it's an

  913. interactive message. So, I need some

  914. folk that's got SOME FAITH RIGHT NOW

  915. THAT THE PROMISES GOD GAVE YOU OVER YOUR

  916. BODY, THE PROMISES GOD GAVE YOU OVER

  917. YOUR CHILDREN, THE PROMISES GOD GAVE YOU

  918. OVER YOUR FUTURE, THEY'RE NOT GOING TO

  919. GO OUT WITHOUT A FIGHT. BUT I'M GOING TO

  920. STAND HERE. I'M GOING TO WORSHIP GOD

  921. BEHAVING LIKE MY PROMISE IS ALREADY ON

  922. THE WAY. COME ON. MY SON AND MY

  923. DAUGHTER, THEY'RE ALREADY COMING TO AN

  924. ALTAR. MY HEALING IS ALREADY ABOUT TO BE

  925. PROCLAIMED FROM A DOCTOR'S MOUTH. IF YOU

  926. GOT FAITH, 1, TWO, 3, GIVE HIM PRAISE IN

  927. THE HOUSE.

  928. HALLELUJAH. Somebody shout faith.

  929. >> FAITH IN THE MIDST OF PROMISE. FAITH IN

  930. THE MIDST OF PUSH BACK. FAITH IN THE

  931. MIDST of delay. THE QUESTION IS, WHAT

  932. ARE YOU BELIEVING GOD FOR TODAY? WHAT

  933. ARE YOU ASKING GOD TO DO IN YOUR LIFE?

  934. HOW ARE YOU ASKING GOD TO MOVE? BECAUSE

  935. I WANT YOU TO KNOW WHEN THE OIL IS THERE

  936. ON YOUR LIFE, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT

  937. THE ENEMY SAYS. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT

  938. THE ENEMY DOES. I'VE GOT ENOUGH OIL TO

  939. ENDURE EVERY HARDSHIP. I'VE GOT ENOUGH

  940. OIL TO ENDURE EVERY ACCUSATION. I'VE GOT

  941. ENOUGH OIL TO ENDURE EVERY BETRAYAL.

  942. I'VE GOT ENOUGH OIL ON MY LIFE TO LET

  943. THE DEVIL KNOW. YOU MIGHT HAVE TRIED IT,

  944. BUT LOOK AT ME NOW. IT DIDN'T TAKE ME

  945. OUT. IT MADE ME STRONGER THROUGH THE

  946. POWER OF GOD. IS THERE ANYBODY THAT

  947. WOULD SAY, "I'VE GOT OIL ON MY LIFE, AND

  948. I'M THANKFUL THAT I'VE GOT OIL on my

  949. life." What am I BELIEVING GOD FOR? I'm

  950. believing God simply for his best in my

  951. life. [snorts] Anybody believing for his

  952. best? All right, that's about 30%.

  953. That's pretty great. Let's try that one

  954. more time. How many you believe for

  955. God's best in your life? Come on. All

  956. right, we got it up to 50%. That was

  957. pretty good. I'm going to ask you one

  958. more time. How many you believe for

  959. God's best in your life? Can you give

  960. him a little praise in the house? Come

  961. on. I I believe that your best the the

  962. best that God has for your life is right

  963. on the other side of your next decision

  964. to praise him. You say, "Pastor, why do

  965. I got to praise him so much? Why do I

  966. got to give him glory so much?" You know

  967. why? Because it tells your flesh, you

  968. are not in control. It says that my

  969. God's promises are in control in my

  970. life. I don't feel like praising even

  971. right now. But in the name of Jesus,

  972. that's where some OF YOU ARE AT. BUT I

  973. DECLARE if you'll just begin to praise

  974. him right now for the promises HE GAVE

  975. YOU. THERE'S ABOUT TO BE A BREAKTHROUGH

  976. THAT'S ABOUT TO COME TO YOUR LIFE.

  977. THERE'S ABOUT TO BE COME ON, IT'S GOING

  978. TO SHATTER EVERY EXPECTATION THAT WOULD

  979. EVER COME. THE ENEMY THOUGHT HE WAS

  980. GOING TO TALK YOU OUT OF IT, BUT MY

  981. PRAISE SAYS I'M CONVINCED THAT HE IS

  982. ABLE. CAN YOU say amen?

  983. Cuz here's the thing. When we have oil

  984. in our life, the enemy would like to try

  985. to steal that oil and take that oil away

  986. from us because oil carries significant

  987. symbolism both historically and

  988. biblically. Historically, I'm going to

  989. blow your mind. Oil simply filled the

  990. lamps.

  991. That's profound. That's deep. That's

  992. powerful. It was a practical necess

  993. necessity. If you wanted to have light,

  994. you had to have oil. That's it. But

  995. watch this. without oil, no light, no

  996. procession, no participation, no

  997. entrance into the feast would ever take

  998. place. That was on the physical side.

  999. That was on the historical side. But

1000. biblically, oil has several different

  1001. interconnected realities. Number one,

1002. the oil represents the Holy Spirit. The

1003. oil represents the Holy Spirit. We go

1004. back to the Old Testament for this one.

1005. We can go New Testament, too, but we'll

1006. stick in the Old Testament. Samuel

1007. anointed David with oil. Somebody say

1008. oil. Some people say, "Oh, come on."

1009. Y'all say, "Oh." Some of y'all say,

1010. "Oh." I say, "Oil." Come on. I It's the

1011. same thing. It just One of them is from

1012. like deep south, one of them is from

1013. like Middle South. Can I get a witness?

1014. He He He anointed David with oil. 1st

1015. Samuel 16:13 says, "The spirit of the

1016. Lord came upon David. As the oil touched

1017. his head, the spirit of God rested on

1018. David to be the king he had called him

1019. to be, to be a man after God's heart."

1020. In other words, he was chasing after the

1021. heart of God every single day. Did he

1022. always get it right? No, he didn't

1023. always get it right. He made some

1024. mistakes, but that's what made David

1025. powerful is that even when he fell down,

1026. he did not stay down. He got right back

1027. up. He said, "I'm going after God's

1028. heart one more time. I may not catch it,

1029. but I'm in hot pursuit of him." You know

1030. why? Because David was oily. David was a

1031. oily king. He had the power of the Holy

1032. Spirit on him. oil became associated

1033. with the spirit's empowering presence

1034. that was on people's life. That was Old

1035. Testament. New testament fresh oil came

1036. in the room on the day of Pentecost and

1037. it anointed every person that was in the

1038. room so that they be they began to speak

1039. with other tongues as the spirit gave

1040. them utterance and they stood up and

1041. they preached an oily message to 3,000

1042. plus people and they got saved because

1043. Peter opened his mouth and declared the

1044. word of God because he was oily.

  1045. Somebody shout holy spirit.

1046. >> Come on. Then the second thing that was

1047. an interconnected reality of the oil WAS

1048. CONSECRATION. WE DON'T LIKE TALKING

1049. ABOUT this much, but you see kings and

1050. priests. And if you go back to whenever

1051. the tabernacle was created, there was a

1052. certain pattern that they would anoint

1053. all the furnishings in the tabernacle.

1054. All of these were anointed. And the oil

1055. in that moment represented being set

1056. apart unto God for his service. Can I

1057. tell you that God is looking FOR PEOPLE

1058. THAT WOULD not only want the indwelling

1059. of the Holy Spirit, but they want to be

1060. separated from the things of this world.

  1061. I want I don't know about you, I don't

1062. want to be associated with the junk of

1063. this world. I don't want to be tagged

1064. with the ridicules of this world AND THE

1065. DOWNTRODDEN PART AND THE SINFUL NATURE.

1066. I WANT TO BE SEPARATE from that. That

  1067. doesn't mean I can't walk right in there

1068. with the light of Christ and let them

1069. know there is a redeemer and he can

1070. break them free from whatever has them

1071. bound. But I want to tell you in the

1072. name of Jesus, it's time for the church

1073. TO BE SET APART AGAIN. IT'S time for

1074. holiness to come back to THE CHURCH.

1075. IT'S TIME FOR SANCTIFICATION TO COME

1076. BACK TO the church again. Is there

1077. anybody THAT WOULD SAY, "I KNOW GOD'S

1078. CALLED ME, BUT I'M READY TO BE SEPARATED

1079. UNTO GOD FOR his glory."

  1080. Consecration. Somebody say, "Light."

1081. >> This was another interconnected part.

1082. Oil always existed to produce light.

1083. Psalm 119:105 the writer said, "Your

    Psalms 119:105

1084. word is a lamp to my feet and a light to

1085. my path." Can I tell you? Oil and fire

  1086. produce visible testimony.

1087. WHY DO YOU THINK HE TALKED ABOUT OIL AND

1088. FIRE? Because he doesn't want you to be

  1089. a secret undercover Christian.

1090. >> Hello, somebody. Can I try this out over

1091. here? He does not want you to be a

  1092. secret undercover Christian.

1093. I know some of y'all just in sitting

1094. here and trying to figure this thing out

1095. and I'm going to be patient with you

1096. because I love you and I want you to

1097. understand the totality of God's call on

1098. your life. But the fact is if we can

1099. really boil it down when Jesus has

1100. changed your life, it is not for us to

1101. hide what he did. It is for us to

1102. uncover that and let people know I once

1103. was this way but now I met Jesus and

1104. guess what? I'm completely different.

1105. Come on. That's the TESTIMONY OF THE OIL

1106. OF GOD ON YOUR LIFE AND THE LIGHT OF THE

1107. FIRE OF GOD. I want to know is there any

1108. I'm trying to behave myself. I want to

1109. know is there anybody in the house today

1110. that would say I'VE GOT A TESTIMONY THAT

1111. WILL absolutely shame hell and LET JESUS

1112. BE GLORIFIED. I WANT YOU TO TAKE ABOUT

1113. 15 SECONDS and give God praise that

1114. you've been redeemed BY THE PRECIOUS

1115. BLOOD OF JESUS. OH, COME ON. I NEED SOME

1116. FOLK TO TESTIFY WITH YOUR PRAISE. I ONCE

1117. WAS LOST, BUT NOW I'M FOUND. I ONCE WAS

1118. BLIND, BUT NOW I SEE. I ONCE WAS BROKEN,

1119. BUT HE PUT ME BACK TOGETHER. I ONCE WAS

1120. MARRED, BUT HE MADE ME AGAIN ANOTHER

1121. VESSEL AS IT SEEMED GOOD TO HIM TO MAKE

1122. IT. 1 2 3. GIVE HIM PRAISE in the house.

  1123. [music]

1124. I will let my light shine before men

1125. that they may see my good works and

1126. glorify my father who is in heaven.

1127. My heart and my desire is that each one

1128. of us would let the oil and the fire

1129. produce visible testimony of God's

1130. goodness. Do not hide it. Because watch

1131. this, a life filled with oil will never

1132. struggle to produce a visible witness.

1133. A life you say, "Pastor,

1134. I feel like I've been running on empty."

1135. Oh, I'm about to get to you.

1136. Me and you is about to have church

1137. together here in a minute because I know

1138. the fact is the enemy is trying to been

1139. he's been trying to drain some of you

1140. strength and drain some of you purpose.

1141. I've already heard the Holy Spirit say

1142. that somebody's about to get their

1143. strength back today. Come on, somebody.

1144. Somebody's about to get the oil back

1145. today. The enemy's talked you out of it

1146. and said lay it down. Oh, no. No. We

1147. about to pick that oil back up and we

1148. going to anoint our own head with fresh

1149. oil in the name of Jesus. But watch

1150. this. We must have fresh oil every day.

1151. We must be prepared. We must have light.

1152. But then the last thing that I want to

1153. highlight about what the oil represents

1154. is readiness. Somebody say readiness.

1155. >> Psalm 23:5 says, "You anoint my head

    Psalms 23:5

1156. with oil." And he said this. He said,

1157. "This is a prepared, refreshed, and

1158. ready person." If someone has their head

1159. o anointed with oil, they are prepared.

1160. They are refreshed. And they are ready.

1161. And watch this. The Holy Spirit showed

1162. me this. When you are anointed, you will

1163. not lack and you will not be alone. Come

1164. on, somebody. I said, "You will not lack

1165. and you will not be alone." Well,

1166. pastor, I need scripture on that. Good.

1167. I'm going to give it to you. Psalm 23

1168. verse number five. Just after he says,

1169. "You anoint my head with oil," he says

1170. something significant. He said, "My cup

1171. runs over." Come on, somebody. I feel

1172. the Holy Spirit right there. Some of you

1173. have been walking through a season of

1174. lack, but I come to make an

1175. announcement. The season of lack is over

1176. in Jesus' name. Cuz I READ IN THE

1177. SCRIPTURE, MY CUP'S about to RUN OVER

1178. WITH FRESH OIL. I COME ON SOMEBODY. YOU

  1179. SAY, "PASTOR, DON'T BE A PROSPERITY

1180. PREACHER." THAT'S ALL RIGHT. YOU STICK

1181. WHERE YOU WANT TO STICK. BUT I DECLARE

1182. TO YOU, MY BANK ACCOUNT'S ABOUT TO RUN

1183. OVER SO THE KINGDOM OF GOD CAN ADVANCE.

1184. I'M GOING TO GIVE MORE THAN I'VE EVER

1185. GIVEN. I'M GOING TO SACRIFICE MORE THAN

1186. I EVER SACRIFICED. MY CUP WILL RUN OVER

  1187. IN JESUS NAME.

1188. You will not lack in Jesus name. Look at

1189. your neighbor. Tell them. Say you are

  1190. not going to lack.

1191. My God is not the God. He's not Elchipo.

  1192. Come on somebody.

  1193. Hello somebody.

1194. All right. Making some people

1195. uncomfortable right now. Might have to

1196. replace some chairs. They chewing them

  1197. seats up right now.

1198. I'm going to tell you in Jesus name. You

1199. will not lack. But watch this. This is a

1200. power. This is the part I like. You will

  1201. not be alone.

1202. Psalm 23 verse number six says, "Surely

1203. goodness and mercy shall follow me."

  1204. Woo. Come on, somebody. I feel I I don't

1205. even know what time I'm just going to

1206. stop looking cuz it's Is it all right

1207. with y'all if I just preach this

1208. morning? Is that I just feel this in my

1209. spirit. I'm going to put that thing down

1210. for a second. I'm going to let you know

1211. that I believe goodness and mercy is

1212. about to follow me everywhere I go. I'm

1213. going to needakota. I need you. Jared, I

1214. need you to just walk right behind me. I

1215. just feel this in my spirit this morning

1216. that there will come a time in your life

1217. that the enemy will tell you you're not

1218. going that you're going to lack, but you

1219. go back to chapter 23 and verse number

1220. five and say, "My cup will run over."

1221. And then when he says, "Ain't going to

1222. be nobody with you," you look the enemy

1223. square in the eye and say, "Let me go

1224. ahead and quote chapter number 23 and

1225. verse number six of Psalm that surely

1226. goodness and mercy shall follow me all

1227. the days of my life. WHEREVER I GO,

  1228. WHATEVER I STEP INTO, I KNOW I GOT

1229. SOMEBODY BEHIND ME. I GOT REINFORCEMENTS

1230. RIGHT BACK THERE. I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO

1231. LOOK. I KNOW THEY'RE WITH ME. IF I GET

1232. IN A FIGHT, IF I GET IN A TUSSLE, GUESS

1233. WHAT? I KNOW I GOT SOMEBODY STANDING

1234. RIGHT BEHIND ME. IS THERE ANYBODY

1235. THAT'LL GIVE GOD PRAISE FOR GOODNESS AND

1236. MERCY THAT SHALL FOLLOW YOU ALL THE DAYS

1237. OF YOUR LIFE? AND I DECLARE I WILL DWELL

1238. IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD FOREVER. COME

1239. ON, SOMEBODY GIVE GOD PRAISE FOR

1240. GOODNESS AND MERCY IN THE HOUSE TODAY.

  1241. HALLELUJAH.

  1242. Somebody shout.

1243. That's right. Go ahead, shout.

1244. >> I ain't going to tell you what to shout.

  1245. You shout.

1246. Because here's what I know. Goodness and

1247. mercy will be with me in the good times,

1248. but goodness and mercy will be with me

  1249. in the hard times.

1250. So today I want to tell you I want to

1251. zero in on something powerful that

1252. carries tension in the scripture. And if

1253. you'll endure with me for another 10

1254. minutes I'll try my best to be done.

1255. Matthew 25 verse number 5 says but while

  1256. the bridegroom was delayed

1257. they all somebody say all slumbered and

  1258. slept.

1259. Many people say they should have stayed

1260. awake all night. They should have never

1261. slept. But we have uh in that argument

1262. we have neglected the humanity of the

1263. situation. They were still human beings.

1264. They needed rest. They needed

1265. recuperation. They needed to rest their

1266. eyes so they would have enough strength

1267. to be able to endure everything they had

1268. to endure, but also have enough strength

1269. to welcome the bridegroom in. And many

1270. people say, "Well, you just got to stay

1271. awake ALL THE TIME. YOU GOT TO BE ON ALL

1272. THE TIME. You got to be do YOU GOT TO BE

1273. 100% GAME ALL THE TIME." LET me tell you

1274. something. THAT IS EXHAUSTING AND IT IS

  1275. NOT POSSIBLE.

1276. That's why THE LORD CARVED OUT AN ENTIRE

1277. day and said, "It is a Sabbath day and

  1278. keep it holy."

1279. >> SABBATH WAS NOT EVEN NECESSARILY ABOUT A

1280. DAY. IT WAS ABOUT A RHYTHM in your life

1281. that you set aside time to refresh

1282. yourself in the presence of God.

1283. We're not going to get religious and

1284. say, "Well, it's got to be this day and

1285. it's got I've had people sit in offices

1286. and I had to boot them right out that

1287. they come in and tried to tell me,

  1288. "Well, you're just you're you're not

1289. serving the Lord. You're not doing what

1290. God's called you to do cuz Sabbath is

1291. really on a Saturday. I said, "Look,

1292. there's the door and you can go out at I

1293. love you in Jesus name. See you later,

  1294. alligator."

1295. >> You say, "You didn't do that." Oh, yes,

1296. I did. I got timeless in that. All

1297. they're trying to do is put doubt in my

1298. mind and trying to put me in a spot to

1299. think make me think God ain't doing

1300. nothing. Can I tell you, look around

1301. this room and look what the Lord is

1302. doing in this house. It don't matter

1303. whether it's on Sunday, Saturday,

  1304. MONDAY, TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY,

1305. FRIDAY. COME ON. I JUST WANT THE GLORY

1306. OF THE LORD IN THE HOUSE. I WANT THE

1307. POWER OF GOD IN THE HOUSE. I'VE ALSO GOT

1308. TO SET UP A RHYTHM to rest in my spirit.

1309. My rest has to be good. And that means

1310. you got to watch what you eat,

  1311. >> y'all. Come on.

1312. I'm going to preach about that later.

1313. So, just hold on. Hold on tight. It's

1314. about to get turbulent up here because I

1315. believe God's getting a bride ready. We

1316. can't just do it any way we want to do

1317. it. and expect to have the energy to do

1318. what God's called us to do.

1319. >> You say, "Well, pastor, I'm exhausted.

  1320. Let's check some certain things. Let's

1321. get some stuff in order that are part of

1322. your physical makeup." We got to pay

1323. attention to that, too. Yes, spiritual

1324. things are important. But if you think

1325. you going to run off of adrenaline and

1326. run off of an experience and do what

1327. God's called you to do, sometimes you

1328. got to put the rubber to the road and

  1329. say, "You know what? I can't have 12

  1330. cheeseburgers in a day.

1331. God is my witness. I ain't got nothing

1332. to do with my notes. I ain't know where

  1333. that came from.

1334. But the fact is this. If you going to

1335. have physical it, believe it or not, it

1336. takes physical strength to do the will

  1337. of God.

1338. >> It takes it. And I'm not here to put you

1339. on blast. I'm not here to make you feel

1340. less than. I'm here to tell you there is

1341. a better way to do this thing.

1342. >> Come on, somebody. There is a better

  1343. way. And it's God's way. It's God's way.

1344. Now, before I get in too much trouble,

1345. let's talk about this. They all slept

  1346. and they all slumbered.

1347. Watch this. Delay happened. It did

1348. happen. And I want you to know the delay

1349. that happened was the point.

1350. Because this is where the tension is at

1351. because most people say, "Well, just get

1352. up. You shouldn't be sleeping." No, the

1353. devil is a liar. I got to take a nap,

  1354. too.

1355. So the question is, if delay was the

  1356. point,

1357. what do you do when the answer you've

1358. been praying for and believing for

1359. doesn't come when you think it should?

1360. Come on. Can you imagine all 10 of them

1361. virgins sitting there? Five of them knew

1362. they were wise. The other five thought

1363. they were wise. Come on, somebody. They

1364. thought they had it all together, but

1365. they were all waiting on one person. And

1366. after a while, I'm sure they got

1367. exhausted looking and listening and

1368. waiting. And at some point, THEY HAD TO

1369. SAY, "WHAT IS THE POINT? WHERE is he at?

1370. We've been waiting. LISTEN, THE BRIDE IS

1371. PATIENTLY WAITING. We're not even the

  1372. bride, BUT WE'RE GETTING ANTSY. WE'RE

1373. GETTING AGGRAVATED." THIS IS WHERE

1374. PEOPLE step out of the will of God for

  1375. their life.

1376. Because they don't understand delay is

  1377. part of the process.

1378. They say, "WELL, IF GOD REALLY LOVED ME,

1379. HE WOULD GIVE IT ALL TO ME RIGHT NOW. IF

1380. God listen, the reason why God didn't

1381. give it to you is because he does love

  1382. you.

1383. >> Because he knew you would be crushed

1384. under the weight of the blessing he

1385. wants to release over your life. But

1386. he's got to make you endure so you're

1387. strong enough to hold the blessing that

1388. he has in the next season.

1389. >> Because if he gave it to you now, IT

1390. WOULD CRUSH YOU. IT WOULD END YOU. YOU

1391. WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT. And the

1392. same mistakes you made in the last

1393. season, you would make in this season

  1394. because you haven't learned a lesson

1395. that will get you prepared for the next

1396. season of blessing that God has for your

  1397. life.

1398. Come on, somebody. So, you say, "WELL, I

1399. I WISH GOD WOULD JUST GO AHEAD AND GET

1400. OVER WITH AND GIVE IT TO ME." YES, HE

1401. WILL. IF YOU'LL JUST PAY ATTENTION TO

  1402. THE PROCESS.

1403. Look at your neighbor. Say, "Lean in

  1404. to the process."

1405. Man, I feel like preaching right now.

1406. Delay is not the problem.

1407. Why do you say that, pastor? Because

1408. delay is not the problem. Delay is the

  1409. test

1410. that's getting you ready. And but let me

1411. go ahead and get some hope right here

1412. because I can feel somebody saying,

1413. "Well, my God, he gonna preach about

1414. delay and he don't give me no hope." I

1415. got some hope for you right here. Delay

1416. does not mean denial in Jesus name. Come

1417. on, somebody. How many know that's true

1418. to be be true in your life? Come on.

  1419. Just because it's delay doesn't mean

1420. he's not going to give it to you. Say,

  1421. "Pastor, I've been praying for a

1422. husband." Delay does not mean denial.

1423. Lean into the process. You say, "Pastor,

1424. I've been praying for a wife. Can I tell

1425. you, if you'll be husband material, a

1426. wife will find you in Jesus name. Come

1427. on, somebody. So, lean into the process

1428. and say, "God, whatever that looks like

1429. for me, however, I've got to be

1430. prepared. Whatever you got to knock off

1431. my brain, whatever you got to get out of

1432. my spirit, get it out. LET ME GO THROUGH

1433. EVERY BIT OF IT CUZ I want everything

1434. you have for MY LIFE." WATCH THIS.

1435. EVERYBODY SLEPT. Even the wise VIRGIN

1436. SLEPT. THE DIFFERENCE WAS NEVER

1437. SLEEPING. THE DIFFERENCE WAS PREPARATION

  1438. before they fell asleep.

1439. This is often the most un misunderstood

1440. part of scripture because Jesus isn't

1441. contrasting between busy Christians and

1442. lazy Christians because that is shallow

  1443. theology.

1444. He is going deeper and so are we this

1445. morning. So everybody ready? If you're

1446. ready, shout, bring it on.

1447. >> JESUS IN THE STORY IS CONTRASTING

  1448. between prepared believers and

  1449. unprepared believers.

1450. And so I'm looking at a whole house full

1451. of believers this morning. And I'm

1452. thankful for that. But the question is,

1453. do you fall underneath THE PREPARED

1454. BELIEVER SECTION OR THE UNPREPARED

  1455. believer section?

1456. Because you say, "Well, they were all

1457. looking for him." Yeah, they were

1458. anticipating him. They were. But

1459. anticipation and preparation are not the

  1460. same thing.

1461. Anticipation is an emotional feeling

1462. that we have when we're expecting

1463. something to happen. It's not a bad

1464. thing. It's not negative, but

1465. anticipation must only flow out of a

1466. heart that is already prepared.

1467. preparation, watch this, is process.

1468. And many believers want to skip this

1469. because the truth is this morning, I'll

1470. say this, the process of preparation is

  1471. painful.

1472. 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, "For our light

    2 Corinthians 4:17

1473. affliction, which is but for a moment,

1474. is working for us a far more exceeding

1475. and eternal weight of glory. WE MUST

1476. YIELD TO THE PROCESS OF sanctification

1477. and not run FROM IT." THE FIERY TRIAL

1478. YOU'RE FACING RIGHT NOW is working out

1479. the weights and mess in your life. Why,

1480. pastor? Because God has something on the

1481. other side of this battle, this

1482. wilderness that he is preparing for you,

1483. and it's called the next season. BUT

1484. HERE'S HOW YOU HAVE to understand it.

1485. The weights that you have on your life

1486. now. You cannot carry them into the next

1487. season. It's time to let some things go

1488. in Jesus' name. Come on. I SAID IT'S

1489. TIME TO let some things go in Jesus

1490. name. Somebody ought to let them go.

1491. You got to if you want to grab what's in

1492. the next season, you cannot BE HOLDING

1493. ON TO WHAT HAPPENED in the last season.

1494. If you want to grab a new relationship,

1495. you cannot hold on to past relationships

1496. that hurt you. CUZ YOU WILL WALK RIGHT

1497. INTO THAT NEW RELATIONSHIP CARRYING that

1498. same hurt. AND THE SAME THING THAT

1499. HAPPENED LAST time will happen the next

1500. time cuz you refused to let go of what

1501. happened before AND YOU'RE BRINGING IT

1502. INTO the new. BUT IN JESUS NAME, TODAY I

1503. FEEL LIKE IT'S GOING TO LET SOME PEOPLE

1504. SET SOME PEOPLE FREE. IT'S TIME TO LET

1505. GO OF THE PAST AND REACH TOWARD THE

1506. PRIZE, THE HIGH CALLING OF GOD IN CHRIST

1507. JESUS AND SAY, "LORD, I'M READY TO

1508. EMBRACE THE NEXT SEASON." SOMEBODY

1509. SHOUT, "LET HIM GO." OH, come on. Y'all

1510. got to holler like YOU MEAN SAY, "LET

  1511. HIM GO."

1512. Anyone can anticipate an event, but only

1513. faith prepares for the event.

1514. Anticipation is an emotion. Preparation

1515. is conviction. Anticipation expects the

1516. bridegroom. Preparation fills the lamp

1517. before he arrives. Are you watch? Are

1518. you listening? Watch this. Anticipation

1519. waits for God to move. Preparation moves

  1520. because God has spoken.

1521. Oh, come on, somebody. You say, "What?

1522. What does that mean, pastor?" That means

1523. that sometimes we can sit back and say,

1524. "God, I want you to go do this for me.

1525. Go do it." But can I tell you, when God

1526. spoke, it's time for you to move.

1527. It's time for you to step up. You say,

1528. "Well, I haven't served in the church

1529. before." Listen, there is a harvest

1530. outside of this church that is waiting

1531. on people to not just be chair sitters

1532. and pew. Come on. I used to say pew

1533. sitters. We have used to have pews up in

1534. here. We got chairs now. He's not

1535. looking for chair sitters. He's looking

1536. for people that will step up and do what

1537. God's called them to do, to reach a

1538. generation before it is too late for

1539. them to make it to heaven. Come on. Is

1540. there anybody in the house who would

1541. say, "I'm ready to move because God has

  1542. spoken over my life."

1543. Watch this. The God of the promise,

1544. believe it or not, is also the God of

  1545. the process.

1546. Because we want to disconnect that and

1547. say, "Oh, I want to serve the God of the

1548. promise. Me too." But unfortunately, the

1549. God of the promise is also the God of

1550. the process. And when we submit to the

1551. process of preparation, we will come

1552. through the pain with anticipation on

1553. the other side that says, "The king is

1554. coming." Woo! One more time. Can you

1555. shout, "The King is coming."

1556. >> Oh, come on. Shout it one more time.

1557. Say, "The King is coming."

1558. >> Oh, I'm almost done. I'm going to get my

1559. musicians up here. You stay right there.

1560. We're going to get rowdy in just a

1561. minute. But here's I'm going to say

  1562. Matthew 25 6-9 says, "All 10 virgins

1563. heard the cry at midnight. All 10 of

1564. them woke up. All 10 of them trimmed

1565. their lamps. They went through the

1566. ritual. They went through the process

1567. that they knew how to be prepared. But

1568. the preparation, the distance in that

1569. preparation was only seen in the moment

1570. that they began to try to light their

1571. lamps. The five foolish realized they

1572. did not have enough oil to be able to

1573. light the lamp that they had in their

1574. hand. And they said to the five wise,

1575. "Give us some of your oil." Verse 9, the

1576. answer came from the five wise to the

1577. five foolish, simply saying, "No,

1578. because there wouldn't be enough for us

1579. and you." and they sent them away to get

1580. their own oil, which should have been

1581. done earlier in the process before they

1582. even set out to welcome the bridegroom.

1583. To some people, this sounds harsh

1584. because they look at it from a natural

1585. standpoint and they don't understand the

1586. symbolism of this story. Historically,

1587. yes, oil could be borrowed and exchanged

1588. between people. But spiritually, Jesus

1589. wanted us to see something deeper that

  1590. relationship cannot be borrowed.

1591. No one can lend intimacy with God to

  1592. somebody else. Come on. I I I don't have

1593. any way other to cut it this morning

1594. just to say it. No one can lend

1595. obedience that you have toward your

1596. father to somebody else. Nobody else can

1597. live off of your personal holiness.

1598. >> Nobody else can live off of your

1599. spiritfilled life. Nobody else can live

1600. off of YOUR FAITHFUL ENDURANCE. SOMEBODY

1601. SAYS, "WELL, I'LL JUST RIDE MY GRANDMA'S

1602. COATTAIL TO HEAVEN." NO, SIR. NO, MA'AM.

1603. YOU WILL NOT. IS SOMETHING THAT WE HAVE

1604. TO come to grips with. JESUS WAS CALLING

1605. IT OUT AND HE'S CALLED ME TO CALL IT OUT

  1606. TODAY. YOU CAN'T BORROW YOUR GRANDMA'S

1607. OIL. YOU CAN'T BORROW YOUR MAMA'S OIL.

1608. YOU CAN'T BORROW YOUR PASTOR'S OIL. YOU

1609. GOT TO HAVE OIL FOR YOURSELF IN THIS

1610. HOUSE. I WANT TO KNOW, IS THERE ANYBODY

1611. THAT WOULD SAY, "I HAD OIL BEFORE. I MAY

1612. HAVE LOST IT. I MAY BE RUNNING ON

1613. EMPTY." BUT I SAY, GOD, GIVE ME FRESH

1614. OIL IN THIS HOUSE TODAY. GIVE ME FRESH

1615. OIL FOR THE JOURNEY. GIVE ME FRESH OIL

1616. FOR WHAT'S NEXT in my life. CUZ WATCH

1617. THIS. Parents can't give it to [music]

1618. you. PASTORS CAN'T LOAN IT TO YOU.

1619. CHURCH ATTENDANCE CAN'T SUBSTITUTE IT.

1620. EVERY BELIEVER MUST POSSESS THEIR OWN

1621. LIVING relationship with Jesus. Look at

1622. your neighbor say, "Get some fresh oil."

1623. Today I want you to understand fresh oil

1624. is available to us through the through

1625. the death, burial, and resurrection of

1626. Jesus Christ. Jesus died so we could

1627. have an eternal relationship with him.

1628. And he thought that you and I were that

1629. valuable. But then he goes on to say

1630. something powerful in Matthew 25 number

1631. 10. Those that were ready and prepared

1632. entered into the feast. And the Bible

1633. says, "And the door was shut." Somebody

1634. say, "The door was shut." Come on. I

1635. want you to really get it in your

1636. spirit. I want you to hear it in your

1637. mind. Say, "The door was shut." I I

1638. believe that in that moment, Jesus

1639. listeners could feel the wind and hear

1640. the thud from a door being closed. In

1641. that moment, they could feel the

1642. finality of his words that took place.

1643. Cuz you see, in Jewish weddings, once

1644. the processional had ended, the feast

1645. then began, and they began to celebrate

1646. the bride and the groom. The doors were

1647. then shut. And watch this, late arrivals

1648. were not expected and they were not

1649. accepted beyond the moment that the

1650. doors were shut. So every listener that

1651. was listening to Jesus give this

1652. dissertation knew that when he said the

1653. door was shut, this meant the

1654. opportunity for those five foolish

1655. virgins to get into the kingdom had

1656. passed by. I want you to understand

1657. those with empty vessels were left out.

1658. They had no evidence. They had no

1659. relationship. They had no light and they

1660. had no entrance into that feast.

1661. Understand that in this moment that

1662. there is coming a time when the door

1663. will be shut on eternity. And if you are

1664. not right with the Lord, then you will

1665. miss your opportunity. You will miss

1666. your moment. Go back and talk to Noah

1667. when he built that ark. And when the

1668. door was shut, Noah did not shut that

1669. door. No man shut that door, but God

1670. himself shut that door and said, "The

1671. opportunity you had to serve me before

1672. has been stopped. AND NOW I'VE got to

1673. save those who have prepared their

1674. yourself." THANK GOD NOAH PREPARED. But

1675. the question is, ARE YOU AND I PREPARED

1676. FOR THE KING to return today? Are you

1677. AND I DO? HAVE WE MADE OURSEL READY?

1678. HAVE WE GOT OUR HEARTS PREPARED? HAVE WE

1679. GOT UNFORGIVENESS OUT OF OUR SPIRIT?

1680. HAVE WE GOT EVERY SIN UNDER THE BLOOD?

1681. HAVE WE MADE OUR MINDS SET THAT WE'RE

1682. NOT GOING TO RUN ON EMPTY, BUT WE'RE

1683. GOING TO GIVE EVERYTHING FOR THE LORD?

1684. IF YOU'RE READY FOR HIM, I DARE YOU TO

1685. GIVE HIM A LITTLE PRAISE IN THE HOUSE

  1686. this morning. [music]

1687. Somebody shout running on empty.

1688. I take a vulnerable chance at telling

1689. this embarrassing story this morning.

1690. But the truth is there was a time about

1691. 15 years ago that myself and Pastor

1692. White were on our way somewhere to go

1693. visit somebody in a hospital and we went

1694. to go visit somebody in the hospital and

1695. afterward we were kind of like Jesus

1696. after he fasted 40 days and 40 night

1697. afterward we were hungry. Can I get a

1698. witness in the house? And we said we got

1699. to go find some food. So, we drove

1700. [clears throat] all over the place and

1701. at some point we got to the restaurant,

1702. we ate and when we were done eating at

1703. the restaurant, we were on our way back

1704. and I remember driving so plainly. I

1705. remember being in that vehicle and all

1706. of a sudden we lost complete power on

1707. the vehicle. And I was like, "Hold up.

  1708. Wait a minute. Something ain't right."

1709. And so, only thing we could do is pull

1710. the side of the road. And we're

1711. thinking, man, we something broke. This

1712. thing's a piece of junk. It was a Ford

1713. anyway, so we knew it was a piece of

1714. junk. Can I get a witness? Come on,

1715. somebody. I said, I have a Ford. Is all

  1716. right.

1717. But I remember getting on the side of

1718. the road and then we figured out after a

1719. lot of inspection and probably kicking

1720. things and being mad, we realized, hey,

1721. you bunch of dummies, you ran out of

  1722. gas.

1723. And I was like, now this is the early

1724. years. And I said, what kind of pastor

1725. doesn't check the gas knob or the gas

1726. gauge before we get in this thing? And I

1727. was like, man. So then we're sitting

1728. there and thank God we knew a guy named

  1729. Kevin Madden.

1730. And we said, "Kevin Madden, I know you

1731. don't work at the church, but please

1732. God, can you leave your work and come

1733. rescue us?" [sighs and gasps]

1734. And so thankfully Kevin went, left his

1735. work, came by, or he might have been

1736. working out. I can't remember. It all

1737. runs together. But he came by, filled us

1738. up with gas, and man, we had a great

  1739. day. Well,

1740. uh, fast forward a couple months later,

  1741. same scenario, same situation,

1742. and going down the road and all of a

1743. sudden, same truck, loses power, almost

1744. in the same exact spot,

1745. and we pull side of the road and both of

1746. us look at each other and say, "That's

  1747. on you." [laughter]

1748. But I was like, man, shame on first

1749. time, shame on me. But like or shame on

1750. you, but second time, shame on me. I

1751. knew better that point. I should have

1752. checked the gas gauge before we got in

1753. that thing. But sure enough, we ran out

1754. of gas the second time. And that time,

  1755. Kevin was unavailable.

1756. And wouldn't you know, we had some of

1757. our blessed congregation members, I

1758. ain't going to call no names, drive by

1759. honk at us and wave while we're standing

1760. on the side of the road in the rain.

  1761. HEY, [screaming]

  1762. HOPE Y'ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY.

  1763. Hope y'all have a great day. I ain't

1764. saying no names. Amanda, but I ain't

1765. saying no names. I ain't say no names

1766. but Amanda Tilberg. I ain't saying no

  1767. names, but it's fine. It's fine. It's

1768. all right. I'm not salty at all about

  1769. that.

1770. I remember that moment plainly. AND FROM

1771. THERE ON OUT, my truck and his truck

1772. never got below a half a tank of gas.

1773. I would check it every morning. Y'all

  1774. say, "That's crazy." Yeah, I did. I

1775. checked every morning. And I said,

1776. "Look, especially if I'm going with you,

1777. now if you're going by yourself, that's

1778. on you. But if I'm riding in the car, we

1779. are not going to sit on the side of the

1780. road and sit in the rain and wave at

1781. everybody as they go by. Say, "Oh, that

1782. that Well, look at them. They probably

1783. praying for the for the driveway. Oh,

1784. man. THEY'RE SO NO, WE WAS STUCK.

1785. We was OUT. WE WERE OUT OF GAS." I DON'T

1786. KNOW WHO RESCUED US THE SECOND TIME, BUT

1787. I WAS just so mad at that point. I was

  1788. like, you know, I don't even care. I

  1789. don't care, man. I don't even care who

1790. gives us gas. I just want somebody to

1791. give us gas. I'm ready to go home. I

  1792. remember that moment.

1793. And it brought me to this point this

1794. morning that I want to talk to some

1795. people in the room that you are running

  1796. on fumes today.

1797. I want to talk to some believers in the

  1798. room. Can I Can I be real with you? I I

1799. want to I want to preach to some

1800. believers in the room that you have been

1801. doing all the right things. You've been

1802. reading the word. You've been praying.

  1803. Come on. You've been fasting. You've

1804. been seeking God. You've been even

  1805. serving. You've been making a difference

1806. in your life. But you come this morning

1807. and you said, "Pastor, I barely made it

1808. in the house because I'm running on

  1809. empty.

  1810. I I'm running on in. I don't know WHAT

1811. TO DO, PASTOR. I'VE DONE EVERYTHING I

1812. CAN DO. I'VE DONE ALL THAT I KNOW TO DO

  1813. AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S going on."

1814. BECAUSE HERE'S THE TRUTH THIS MORNING.

1815. THE KING IS COMING. WHETHER WE HAVE FUEL

1816. OR OIL IN OUR TANK OR WHETHER WE DO NOT,

  1817. HE'S STILL COMING.

1818. AND IT'S MY JOB AND MY ASSIGNMENT THIS

1819. MORNING TO LET US KNOW, DON'T BE LIKE ME

1820. AND PASTOR WHITE AND RUN OUT OF GAS ON

1821. THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TODAY. YOU CAN

1822. LEAVE HERE BEING FILLED WITH THE POWER

1823. AND THE PRESENCE AND THE MIGHT OF GOD

1824. SAYING, "I MAY HAVE CAME IN EMPTY, BUT

1825. THERE'S SOMETHING DEEP ON THE INSIDE OF

1826. ME. THERE'S A OIL IN MY SPIRIT THAT HE

  1827. GAVE TO ME TODAY."

1828. So today, I want you to look at your

1829. neighbor and say, "Are you running on

  1830. empty?

1831. Are you running on empty?" Come on, son.

1832. Close me out. Cuz I want to tell you

1833. something today. And that is simply

1834. this. Psalm 92:10 says it like this. If

    Psalms 92:10

1835. we could throw that scripture up there.

1836. But my horn you have exalted like a wild

  1837. ox.

1838. Can I tell you that that little section

  1839. is often overlooked

1840. and we skip by that. But can I tell you

1841. what were ox used for back in the day?

1842. They were the strength of the job. And

1843. can I tell you that God is about to

1844. exalt your strength further than you

1845. ever thought it was going to go. You

1846. came in here weak. You came in here

1847. weary. You came in here not knowing what

1848. to do. You came in here not knowing if

1849. you're going to be able to put one foot

1850. in front of the other. But I hear the

1851. Holy Spirit say just like this

1852. scripture, God is about to exalt you

1853. like a wild ox. And you're going to walk

1854. out of here not in your own strength AND

1855. YOUR OWN POWER, BUT YOU'RE GOING TO WALK

1856. OUT HERE SAY, "GOD HAS RENEWED my

1857. strength. THEY THAT WAIT ON THE LORD

1858. SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH. THEY SHALL

1859. MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES. [music]

1860. THEY SHALL RUN AND NOT BE WEARY. THEY

1861. SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT. I CHOOSE TO

1862. wait on the Lord today."

  1863. >> [music]

1864. >> But then he said, "I have been anointed

  1865. with what?"

1866. Somebody shout, "Fresh oil." My God,

1867. somebody is about to be anointed with

  1868. fresh oil this morning.

1869. I feel the G. Can we just raise our

1870. hands to heaven? I feel something

1871. shifting in the room right now. I feel

1872. the glory of the Lord shifting in the

1873. room right now. And I've come to let you

1874. know, you don't have to live on

1875. yesterday's oil. Fresh oil and fresh

1876. strength are being poured out today.

1877. Where weariness has settled, God is

1878. releasing fresh oil. Where strength is

1879. failed, he is breathing new life today.

1880. I've come TO LET YOU KNOW, heaven has

1881. not run out of oil today. HEAVEN HAS

1882. ORDERED IT UP JUST FOR YOU AND JUST FOR

1883. ME TO WALK IN FRESH OIL TODAY.

1884. Just leave those hands up right now. If

1885. you need fresh oil, I feel like the Lord

1886. is doing it right now. Oh, I feel like

1887. the Lord is doing it right now.

1888. Matter of fact, why won't you stand to

1889. your feet and just raise those hands to

1890. heaven? I feel like fresh oil's coming.

1891. I've been running on empty, pastor. I

1892. I've been I've been trying to figure it

1893. all out. I've been trying to make sense

  1894. [music] of where I'm at. I've been I've

1895. been trying to make sense of the season.

1896. I've been trying to make sense of the

1897. chaos. I've been trying to make sense of

1898. the turmoil. I've been trying to make

1899. sense of what's being said and what's

1900. not BEING SAID. I'VE BEEN TRYING TO MAKE

1901. [music] SENSE OF WHAT'S GOING ON HERE

1902. AND WHAT'S GOING ON THERE. CAN I TELL

1903. YOU THAT HE BROUGHT YOU IN THIS MOMENT

1904. TO LET YOU KNOW THERE IS FRESH OIL IN

1905. THE HOUSE. THERE'S FRESH ANOINTING FOR

1906. YOU. THERE'S STRENGTH TO ENDURE THE

1907. HARDSHIPS LIKE A GOOD SOLDIER.

1908. LORD, every mama, every daddy, every

1909. grandma, every grandpa, Lord, every

1910. young person IN THE HOUSE, I PRAY YOU

1911. WOULD ANOINT THEM WITH FRESH OIL. I PRAY

1912. YOU'D ANOINT THEM WITH FRESH OIL. I PRAY

1913. YOU'D ANOINT THEM WITH FRESH OIL. GOD,

1914. LET IT BE THAT it is a cup that's

1915. running over and surely goodness AND

1916. MERCY WILL FOLLOW THEM ALL THE DAYS OF

1917. THEIR LIFE. SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY

1918. SHALL FOLLOW THEM ALL THE DAYS OF THEIR

1919. LIFE. OH GOD, we will dwell in the house

1920. OF THE LORD FOREVER AND FOREVER and

  1921. forever.

  1922. God, we love you.

1923. My God, my I feel strength rising in

1924. somebody right now. You say, "Pastor,

  1925. I'm just reaching for I don't even know

  1926. what I'm reaching for." You're reaching

1927. for renewed strength. You're reaching

1928. for peace. You're reaching [music] for

1929. joy. You're reaching for breakthrough.

1930. You're reaching FOR YOUR NEXT SEASON.

1931. YOU'RE CALL OH, I FEEL THE HOLY GHOST.

1932. The next season is about to break

  1933. through where you are.

1934. Heaven has not run out of oil.

1935. Can I tell you what I saw the Lord show

1936. me? Because if I'm honest, this earth

  1937. works in rhythms.

1938. This earth. And thank you for enduring

1939. my heart this morning. I didn't mean to

1940. be so long, but I had to get this out

1941. cuz I feel like somebody's about to be

1942. prepared for the coming of the king.

1943. The earth works in cycles. Our bodies

  1944. work in cycles.

  1945. But here's what's so interesting about

1946. the scripture when it says it like this

1947. and I want to give you encouragement

1948. this morning. What the Lord showed me.

1949. Galatians chapter 6 verse number N says

    Galatians 6 chapter mention

1950. it like this. And let us not grow weary

1951. while doing good. For [music] in due

1952. season, somebody say due season.

1953. Man, I'm tired, but I do feel like

1954. preaching again. For in due season we

1955. shall reap if we do not lose heart. Oh,

1956. let me say it again. For in due season,

1957. we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

1958. Can I tell you that this earth works in

1959. cycles, it goes summer, fall, winter,

1960. and spring. Can I tell you? [music] Say,

1961. pastor, I've been in every one of those

1962. seasons, and it feels like that

1963. spiritually, and I don't know where my

  1964. breakthrough's coming. Can I tell you

1965. that the earth can only handle four

1966. seasons, but in the kingdom, there's a

1967. fifth season, and that is due season. It

1968. may be summer right now, BUT GUESS WHAT?

1969. Your due season IS COMING. I KNOW THE

1970. ENEMY THINKS HE'S GOT YOU DONE AND

1971. LOCKED IN, BUT I WANT TO GIVE YOU

1972. ENCOURAGEMENT. YOUR DUE SEASON IS HERE.

1973. YOUR BREAKTHROUGH IS HERE. YOUR PROMISE

1974. IS HERE. YOUR ANOINTING is here. Your

1975. due season is today in Jesus name. If

1976. you believe it, I dare YOU TO THROW YOUR

1977. HANDS UP AND PRAISE HIM LIKE YOUR DUE

1978. SEASON IS HERE. MY CHILDREN WILL BE

1979. SAVED. MY BODY WILL BE HEALED. IT'S MY

1980. DUE SEASON. MY FINANCES WILL TURN

1981. AROUND. IT'S [music] MY DUE SEASON. I

1982. MAY HAVE RUN ON EMPTY GETTING IN HERE,

1983. BUT I WILL BE FILLED WITH THE power of

  1984. God.

1985. Jesus's sermon on the mount said,

1986. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst

  1987. after righteousness,

  1988. for they shall be

1989. filled." Woo! If you want to be filled,

1990. I dare you to lift your hands to heaven

1991. and say, "God, fill my vessel
