Thank you, Lord.

Just once again, man, here just coming back again and welcome to Habitational School of Worship.

Once again, if you're watching, watch later, listen later.

We always say this at the beginning, no matter what, we just pray that these teachings, these this wisdom, uh can just once again stir you up to just love Jesus more and to help you grow an intimate relationship with Jesus.

And that's kind of always been a hard desire is for to build your relationship with Jesus more than anything.

And for you to walk in purity and holiness uh every day of your life and the freedom you can have uh because of your intimate relationship with Jesus.

So anyway, we just pray that.

But anyway, yes.

Um it's been, you know, this is what the third week now of the uh month, I believe.

Uh uh it's been it's been great, you know, growing in this and sharing uh some of the things we've been talking about.

Um I know week one we just talked about the foundation of worship.

Uh to me in my heart, that was very, very just impactful for my life uh in general.

Uh just once again, Jesus being that cornerstone.

And I believe once again, I do believe this, uh, that the greatest worship movement is going to be the one that's invisible to the eyes of man.

It's going to be that.

It isn't going to be once again pack stadiums or some events.

It's going to be truly just people truly uh giving Jesus their all in their bedroom every day of their life or giving their all, whatever it could be, truly in their hearts.

Uh and no man has to know.

And it just has to be you and Jesus.

That's all it has to be.

And I think that I I truly believe that's gonna be a uh one of the greatest worship movements is just once again the eyes of man may not see it, but it's gonna be so impactful with your relationship with Jesus and so impactful for your life and others around you of uh just truly because I'm telling you right now there's a lot of people at work that I work with that get wrecked by Jesus, but they had no idea the things I sacrifice to Jesus and doesn't mean anything, but what I mean is just once again those worship movements of no one knowing, just you and Jesus.

And uh, but still though it goes further, people getting impacted at my workplace because of that thing I sacrificed to Jesus, because of that thing I let go in my heart that's holding me back uh from him.

But those workers, those people at my work don't know that, but it doesn't matter, and that's why that's something that that that message from the week one was about, was just about truly like, man, it's just allowing him to see the inside, like not prettying up the outside, not worrying about the outside, but truly making sure that the inside looks great.

And now what I mean by that, I'm not trying to say you can't come to Jesus, you know, it looks you know bad.

But what I'm saying just once again, it's the outside.

I mean, the inside is the most important thing, which is the heart.

And uh like I've been hearing this in my spirit so much lately, is like, and it came from this, you know, week one message, you know, it just came from that.

Like we we can't be impressed with those with the vehicles of worship, but we gotta know about the heart.

You know, we we can't be impressed about that stuff.

So anyway, that's in week one.

You can kind of hear that more and more about that.

And to be honest, like I said, it's really everything, you know.

And then me and my wife taught last week, uh, Pastor Marissa.

So we just talked about some things about the enemies of worship.

Uh, just a little recap there.

You can, you know, go back and listen to it more in depth.

But it was just about fear, had the enemy uses fear, shame, and performance to really, you know, try to dictate your life with Jesus and dictate your quiet time uh with him and just dictate your relationship, whatever it is in life, with fear, shame, performance.

Uh something I always been hearing about performance lately in my heart was like, man, like once performance comes into your life, accountability leaves.

And uh I think that's a big thing uh in our worship, in our worship to grow with him.

Accountability is very needed uh to grow in Jesus, to grow in our relationship with Jesus.

And I believe when performance comes in, accountability leaves.

Uh, because you know, we we don't sometimes want to be held accountable, but we just once again want to perform.

Uh and then of course, shame will always just tell us don't come near him, be at a distance.

And then of course, uh fear uh will always just tell us the same thing about whatever we fear we're going to be transformed into.

And that's just some of the things we talked about, and whatever we fear will influence us.

Uh that's just some of the stuff, like I said, we talked about that night and stuff like that.

Uh so anyway, yeah.

Uh let's just dive uh into this uh something honestly about fear, right?

This is something I love teaching.

I've taught actually I taught on this before, uh, not this you know thing I'm about to share, but the fear of God.

Uh I know one time I talked a lot about just about truly letting it be like uh how can I say just letting it be not so much about you know being afraid of we heard this before, but you know, this is also honestly uh teaching Nindepto last year the school was just about truly like understanding, you know, the fear of God is so much more about I don't want to be separated from God.

Like, you know, it's about not being separated.

So we talked about that last time, and then this time we're just gonna talk about how uh the fear of the Lord produces purity and a willingness in us.

That's you know something it does in our life.

It produces willingness, it produces a clean heart in us, the fear of God.

And uh, and I think just going more deep into this, but I believe those two things are very, very key, are very, very key um in the fearing the Lord.

I believe those two things truly do happen when we fear God, is that it produces a willingness in us and it produces a pure heart in us.

I truly believe uh that happens uh in our life as we just uh you know grow in the fear of God.

Anyway, uh these before we kick it off though, go deep into this.

I want to share these three verses real quick.

Uh they're not in those notes, but I just want to share these three verses.

It's Proverbs 1923.

It talks about the fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction.

I love that.

You know, I think uh that's just one it's Proverbs 1923.

It talks about that.

I love how it says that literally it says the fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it will abide in satisfaction.

I believe once again we we I love this.

Uh, I believe the fear of God, once again, it's not about being so afraid of him, like to the point when it's like I'm ashamed for what I've done, or you know, all these things.

Uh he sees what I've done.

I'm I'm a mess up, you know, all these things.

Yeah, I'm a filthy sinner, you know, all these things, but the fear of God truly leads us to be satisfied in Jesus.

It leads us to a life of satisfaction in him.

And that's what we talked about.

That's where we're talking about purity, right?

Because purity is what I'm being satisfied in Jesus, not the lies of the enemy or not my fleshly desires.

I'm not being satisfied by that, but I'm being satisfied by Jesus.

And 2 Corinthians 7:1, because we have had these promises, dear friends, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body or spirit, and let us work toward complete holiness because we fear God.

2 Corinthians 7:1

There it is again.

It's not about, once again, it's not about I'm afraid of God to keep me away, I'm a filthy sinner.

Oh man, I know what I've done, I'm a bad man or whatever.

But no, the fear of God is truly drawing so close to him to the point, once again, it produces what purity in our life, which we're going to go deeper into.

And there's no other way to be pure other than getting closer to him.

If you're not close to him, you're not gonna grow in purity.

And these are the things that fear of God helps us in.

It helps us in satisfied, you know, uh producing a purity in our life.

And the last one is Isaiah 33, 6.

The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

I love that one.

I'll say it again, the fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

And that's Isaiah 33, 6.

And I look at that once again about that whole thing about being satisfied in him.

I believe once again we need to treasure the fear of God again.

We need to make sure it's not about, and I believe that's when we lose it.

That's when performance kicks into your ministry or you know, whatever it could be, your life.

I believe that's when it kicks in when you stop treasuring the fear of God.

And that's something real quick, as if you're watching or watching later, you're here now, as we talk about these things, I want you to check your heart and say, have I treasured the fear of God?

Come on, man.

If you treasure something, what does that mean?

That means it is so close to you.

It talks about Jesus talks about, you know, you hide it, you know, you go sell all these things about it, you know, the land, you buy the land, all these things again.

It's like, man, like, do you treasure the fear of God?

Or something else in your life is your treasure?

What is it?

And we're gonna read through how once again what happens when we do treasure something else, other than the fear of God, you know.

And once again, like I said, the fear of God is nothing bad.

It's not, you know, it's not something that's scary, it's not something that's once again, hey, I'm a filthy sinner and I know it, God, whatever.

It's truly about being satisfied in God.

It's about the fear of God would draw us closer to Him.

Why?

Because what you fear, like I said, would influence your life.

What you fear, you would draw closer to, I'm telling you.

Uh, but like I said, it's that right kind of fear, and you know, the right one, not the wrong one, the enemy wants us to have shame with.

Uh, but anyway, just ask yourself that question as we go along this teaching, man.

Have I lost the treasure in my life, the fear of God?

Have I lost it?

Which means what?

That's probably why you compromise in life.

That's probably why you compromise more in your life.

Like, oh, I'm doing these things I know I shouldn't be doing, but I keep doing it.

Why?

Probably because you don't treasure the fear of God anymore.

Like I said, if you treasure the fear of God, it isn't just like, yeah, I know it.

Like I said, you treasure it, man.

It's there for you.

You're protecting it.

Come on.

We see the movies sometimes, right?

There's a treasure, there's a diamond or something.

What happens?

It's heavily guarded.

It is heavily guarded, right?

Are you guarding that treasure, the fear of God?

Are you guarding it?

Well, once again, it is just something you don't care about anymore.

You you forgot about it.

Come on.

It's a treasure in your life, it's hidden.

Come on, it's for you to go look.

So, anyway, those three verses, I just want to share those.

I do believe they all tie in anyway, but if you, you know, Proverbs 19, 23, 2 Corinthians 7.1, Isaiah 33, 6.

But anyway, the fear of the Lord, the fear of God uh producing this purity in our life, uh, Psalms 19.9.

Uh, I even say anything.

That's this is really, I mean, something you can just look at and be like, okay.

But it says the fear of the Lord is clean.

I mean, that's probably one of the you know, simplest things you can read right there.

Like, okay, all right, Lord.

Yeah, and once again, the fear of God produces purity in our life.

I love what uh which one was it?

Oh, yeah, 2 Corinthians 7.1.

Like I said, they kind of tie in with these, but 2 Corinthians 7.1 says, Because like I talked about, because we have these things, we're not what does it say?

We're not gonna do, we're gonna cleanse ourselves from everything that can defile our body, body or spirit.

And here's Psalms 19:9.

Psalms 19:9

The fear of the Lord is clean.

Ask yourself this question.

If you're watching, you watch later, have I cleansed myself from everything that can defile my spirit or that can just defile my life?

And once again, you can ask yourself, say maybe I haven't, and why?

Maybe because the fear of God is in your treasure anymore.

I'm telling you, this is something I do believe the churches get back to more and more is the fear of God.

And I pray this over worship teams, if you're watching or just worship peace in general, you know, always just go back to the fear of God.

Pray that over your team, pray that over yourself.

Say, I want to have the fear of God.

I truly want to walk a life of purity, not performance.

I want to walk a life of holiness, not performance or talented.

I want to walk a life of holiness.

And I believe the fear of God is where it comes in.

The fear of God would truly produce a purity in our worship.

Uh, one of the main reasons is because most of the time when we see the fear of the Lord used in scripture, fear more often than not, it means the words awe, reverence, and holiness.

If God truly means these three things to us, then we don't want, then we want to give him worship that is not defile.

Uh we would keep it, we would keep ourselves pure.

Uh Malachi 118, uh, this is another very uh story I love teaching from.

I teach from this a lot, this story.

Uh I love it.

It's a very, very, very uh passage in Malachi, just how it talks about how these people have become defiled.

These people have lost the fear of God in their life, and they stop treasuring the fear of God.

I truly believe this is what happens sometimes.

When you give blind animals as sacrifices, isn't that wrong?

And isn't it wrong to offer animals that are crippled and diseased?

Try giving gifts like that to your governor and see how pleased he is, says the Lord of heaven army.

And it goes, and actually before uh verse 8, the very first thing God says is, Where is my where is my reverence?

And it goes back, it it talks about the that that's connected to the Free of God word.

When you look up the Free of God in the Old Testament, it mainly means all reverence, holiness, and that word reverence is used in the same way, the main path, the main word uh connected to a root word.

Uh and I once again I love it because like I said, and we read this again, Malachi, when you give blind animals as a sacrifice, isn't it wrong?

Isn't it wrong to offer animals that are crippled in disease?

Come on.

And then it says, when they lost the fear of God, when they lost the fear of the Lord, they gave defiled worship.

When we lose sight of the fear of God, we lose sight of what kind of worship we're offering to Him.

I believe that's where compromise can begin when we lose the fear of God.

Um and it's true.

I believe we stop looking at our heart, we start looking at, we stop looking at the things we're doing in life when we lose the fear of God.

We stop looking at him in all that we do.

Like the word, we always hear this a lot.

Like the word says, what?

Like in all you do, it's it's worship to God, you know, and everything you do.

And it's true.

I believe when we stop, when we have not the fear of the Lord, that's when compromise comes into our life.

And we start offering, start offering him, like, uh, you know what, I'm just gonna give him this.

Oh, you know what, I'm just gonna, I'm doing good on Sundays at church.

I'm fine going there.

And you and you literally stray away from the prayer closet, and you slowly go drift away from quiet place time.

You slowly just drift away of just once again him being the thing you look forward to.

You slowly uh drift away once again from what him being the treasure of your life.

And why?

Because that's where is my reverence?

Where is the fear of God in my life?

And if you wonder, sometimes you look, you know, these things are happening, you know, but I believe they happen just because we lose the fear of God.

Uh, we lose sight of once again his holiness, and we lose sight of us not wanting to be holy anymore.

And Proverbs uh 18, I mean Proverbs 8.13 says, when you begin to hate every every form of evil in your life, that's what worship and fear in God is all about.

When you begin to hate every form of evil in your life, that's uh Proverbs 8.13.

Every we will begin to hate every form of evil in our life, uh, the more and more we fear God.

The more and more we fear God, we're going to hate every form of evil.

Which means what?

Once again, you're not going to compromise in life.

You're not going to be like, hey, I'm going to give you, you know, this lamb that means nothing.

Hey, you know what I mean?

You're not going to give him these things, you know.

You're truly going to give him something, once again, that is pure, that is holy.

I'm telling you, that's what it's about.

Giving him something that is pure and holy.

And so it's amazing because you can do that now.

Why?

Because Jesus.

You can truly give him a worship that is truly holy, that is truly, once again, living righteousness.

Why?

Because of Jesus.

And I think that's what's the beauty of it.

You can walk when you lose the fear of God once again, you lose sight of what Jesus uh purchased for you.

You lose sight of that death on the cross when you when you lose the fear of God.

You lose sight of the cross that Jesus died on.

Because I said, that's everything.

You truly believe in the cross, what it did for you, the freedom, the victory, and all that stuff uh from your fleshly desires, everything like that.

You lose sight of that when you lose the fear of God.

And just like these people, man, like for real, they offer these blind animals.

He even says, like, dude, give these to your governor, see how pleased he is.

You know what I mean?

He'd be like, No, what is this?

Same exact thing.

You know, we need to be a people who always go back to the fear of God, making sure we're just fearing him.

Um, just because, like I said, because if we don't, we're gonna allow compromise to come into our life.

We're going to allow the little thing that's like, uh, it's okay if I do that.

That's fine.

You know, it's not so bad if I'm doing that, it's completely fine if I'm doing that.

It's it's okay.

It's okay if my motive is this when I talk to that person.

It's okay if I'm, you know, doing whatever it could be in your life.

You know, whatever it could be.

You know, you're just always gonna look at it and just keep saying that in your life, and you're not going to overcome it.

Because like I said, this is about truly, this is about your heart.

This is about once again checking your heart, saying, God, are you that treasure in my life?

It's going back to the thing again, like the greatest worship movement.

It's gonna be invisible to the eyes of man.

And this is what I believe it starts here, the fear of God.

That's a very great foundation, right?

And then, like I said, just once again reading this verse again, man, you hate every form of evil.

Uh, we just always need to get there.

We need to make sure we're hating every form of evil in our life.

Anything that can defile my worship to Jesus, I want to say, man, I hate that.

I want to be like, man, I hate that.

I hate that.

Anything that can defile my worship to Jesus, be like, man, I hate that.

Because like I said, if you don't, you know, I believe, like I said, you lose sight of that fear and just it would just overtake you, uh, your fleshly desires and uh and just anything else, the desires of temptation, addictions, uh, it will.

And I believe I do share this uh verse a little bit later, but uh it's in, you know, one of the other famous stories is Saul.

You know, he's one of the a good example to always look at when we talk about worship because like I said, he he truly lost the fear of God in his life.

You know, he truly did.

He was a man that truly lost the fear of God in his life, and that is why he didn't walk in this holiness and this purity uh that he should have had, uh, other than like, you know, uh Dave.

And like I said, being, you know, uh being holy and being perfect are not the same thing.

You know, it's not that's not what holy is about.

It's not about being perfect, it's really not.

It's about being honest and being authentic in your life.

You know, it's truly about that.

It's not about it's not about being perfected in life, it's just about being transformed to his image and being you know how holy you are and that reverence and the all of God.

Um but uh and that's something like I said, Saul lost sight of.

And we're gonna read some verses about him, how he just once again how he lost worship, you know, his worship life.

Uh, but I'm telling you, we lose sight of the fear of God, temptation, our weakness will always overtake us in life.

Sin is always gonna look more attractive than Jesus in our life when we lose sight of the fear of God.

Uh when we lose sight of the fear of God, the enemy looks more attractive than Jesus.

You know, when we lose sight of the fear of God, that silver that Judas trade Jesus for looked so much more attractive than Jesus.

And uh we don't we don't want to get there.

Uh we really don't want to get there.

Uh we want to keep kissing kissing Jesus for the right reason.

We want to keep kissing him for the right reason.

Uh, but anyway, so anyway, just keep walking in purity.

Like I said, I'm telling you, the fear of God produces an integrity in your life like never before.

I'm telling you that right now.

The fear of God produces integrity in your life.

We want integrity, right?

Anybody, you know, we we know what integrity is.

It's you know, we always everyone says it, doing the right thing when no one's watching.

That's integrity.

And I'm telling you right now, the fear of God produces integrity in your life.

I love what the Bible says.

It actually talks about this, talks about how like the most joy comes from a person who lives integrity and integrity life.

It literally talks about that.

It says the most joyful people are the ones who live an integrity life, an integrity lifestyle.

And what does that mean?

That means doing the right thing when no one's watching.

That means what?

Doing the thing that taking care of the thing that matters most, and that's the end.

Inside.

The fear of God is focused on the inside.

So anyway, walk in integrity, do what is right, be pure, do the right things, have the right motives.

You know, have the right motives.

Don't lie.

You know, be honest.

Be authentic.

Um, but anyway, yeah.

Um, we're just gonna go on to uh willingness.

Uh something I love here, just about being willing.

Uh, I believe that's a big thing.

I believe, you know, you we can't be worshipers.

We truly can't be have a heart of worship if we're not have a willing heart.

We can't.

We can't have a heart of worship if we don't have a willing heart to give him everything we have.

And I believe the fear of God produces that in our life.

Why?

Uh we're willing to give him a costly worship when we truly see the all of God and the holiness of who he is.

We will see in the word that without the fear of God, we will give him some cheap microwave plastic worship.

You know, and that's what happens.

When we lose sight, because once again, what does it say?

The fear of if the fear of God is what?

You will treasure it.

Telling you, when you lose sight of the fear of God, it stops being your treasure.

And we said at the beginning, when that when you have treasure, it's what?

It's heavily guarded.

Why?

Because it's something costly.

Something costly.

Telling you that right now, it's costly.

You can, there's probably more security at a bank, all these things, than some snow cone machine.

Why?

Because this money is more valuable than this stuff that's made out of ice.

And that's the exact same thing.

When you lose the fear of God, your value system starts changing.

That's what starts happening.

And what's the only way you're gonna have a willing heart towards something or someone is if it's valuable to you.

If you're willing to give everything to this thing, to the person, they must be valuable to you.

And I think that's what starts happening.

You know what I mean?

It the you we start giving God this cheap plastic worship that's fake.

Because why?

He isn't the treasure of our life anymore.

The value our values have gone down for Jesus.

I don't want to say that.

The values have gone down for anyway for Jesus.

Uh when we st we we don't have this willing heart anymore.

Uh, you have to, whenever something's valuable, you have to have a willing heart.

You gotta have a willing heart.

Uh 1 Samuel 19, 15, 9, this is what I was talking about.

Saul and his men spake A guy's life and kept the best of the sheep and goats, the cattle, the fat calves and the lambs, everything, in fact, that uh that appealed to them.

They destroyed only what was worthless or poor quality.

I mean, I'm telling you, I think uh I really do.

I think I always love sharing this story every time I get a chance to teach, uh, just because I guess just because uh it's it's it's a perfect example of truly of like having plastic worship to God, like for giving him something that's so cheap, giving him something that doesn't mean anything.

Um but anyway, uh but anyway, um one of the things I love about it though is uh how it says the word, like you know, appeal, all these things to it, appeal to his eyes.

Uh, I think once again, we uh we look at this again.

Uh like I said, your your your value system uh goes down.

Uh I mean your value system goes up to like what you fear and stuff as this.

And and I believe this verse right here, uh 1 Samuel 15, 9, they took, in fact, everything that appealed to them.

What does that word appeal mean?

It means like something that's why it means like it's attracted to them, right?

It catches their eye, right?

It means that it catches their attention.

Only those are the things they kept for themselves, what, rather than giving it to God.

If Saul didn't have, if Saul had the fear of God, he would have said what?

He should have, he would have been like, This cattle is nothing compared to the all of God.

It's nothing compared to the holiness of who God is.

But he lost the fear of God and he stopped treasuring God and valuing God, that these sacrifices seem a little more appealing to him than God.

And I think that happens to us in worship sometimes in our life.

Not just worship when you come on Sunday mornings and listen to music, not that worship.

I'm talking about your everyday life, the choices you make and the decisions you make in your life, the choices you make daily.

What's dictating the choices you make?

That's what it's about.

We got to make sure it's the fear of God dictating the choices that we make.

And like I said, when we're when we lose the fear of God, other things start looking a little more appealing to us rather than Him.

That's what starts happening.

Other stuff starts looking more appealing.

His blessings start looking more appealing.

His blessings, the prophetic words I get, they look more appealing than him, to than Jesus himself.

If I lose sight of the fear of God.

If I lose sight of the fear of God, temptation looks more appealing to me than Jesus himself.

That's what happened in the wilderness, right?

Will Jesus would have fell into temptation if he lost the fear of God.

I believe he would have fallen and said, Man, this looks way more attractive.

Man, these kingdoms look way more attractive.

But once again, we need to make sure we have the fear of God and we gotta make sure that the other things of life are not more appealing to us.

We gotta make sure, and this is a daily basis.

Um it's funny because he gave, he gave the sacrifices that are worthless and poor quality, and he just kept it for himself, the good stuff.

And it goes on and talks about Samuel approaches Saul, and he gives this, you can go read the entire passage, but Samuel approaches him, why did you do that?

You know, all these things, why weren't you obedient?

And he says it, I was afraid of the people and did what they demanded.

And I like I said, we we know this, but I believe that's what that's what starts happening.

You know, you you don't fear God, you start just once again making up excuses on why you're not living holy.

For real.

Like I'm telling you, you can you can that's how you know someone's lost the fear of God when you're talking to them.

They just keep making excuses on why they keep falling into temptation.

Just like Saul, he just kept making excuses.

Oh, I was afraid of people what they demanded.

He was just making these excuses, and I believe, you know, the fear of God loses, you know, uh the sight of him.

And he just once again, he just, you know, made these excuses of why he truly uh wanted to not give God the sacrifice that he deserved uh and he kept that he just demanded, you know.

Uh he feared man, and rather than fearing God, the people look more appealing to him, their opinions look more appealing to him, everything looked more appealing, you know.

Um, if you're a leader, if you're you know a leader, whatever it could be, you one of the greatest ways you can be like, man, how did I how do I know if I'm losing sight of the fear of God, man's opinions look more appealing to you than God.

And I think that's exactly, you know, once again, leaders, worship leaders, like, man, how do I know if I'm losing sight of the fear of God?

Man's opinions look way more appealing to you than God.

You you start worrying about what they want, you start worrying about does these people feel comfortable?

Is it okay?

You know, whatever it could be, you start doing that.

And like I said, you lose accountability.

If you don't have the fear of God, accountability is gone.

And like I said, just like Saul, he was a great leader.

God appointed him to be king, but Saul lost the fear of God, and man's opinions started looking more appealing to him rather than what God thought in the moment to him for him to do.

Anyway, that can happen.

You know, it really can.

It's a scary thing.

It can really happen.

If you don't watch out, if you don't watch out, the fear of man would always still always make you think the man's opinions are greater than God, and what he thinks in the moment, and what his heart is in the moment.

Always.

And that's one of the biggest ways you can truly see if you're a leader, man.

Have I lost the sight?

What do I treasure more?

Is man is man's opinions greater than God's opinions and what to do in the moment?

Um, so anyway, uh, if you read this thing, it says, uh, when we see when we lose sight of the all of God, we give God poor quality worship.

When we have the fear of God, our quality will always be on point.

Um, that's what it's about.

It's all about the quality.

You know, like I said, when you lose sight of the fear of God, that willingness to give Him everything we have, you know, your willingness to say, God, I want to give it to you.

Here it is, everything I have.

Uh the you know, we're we're not gonna give them something cheap, but the quality is always gonna be on point.

The quantity could be different, you know.

So one person can give a little two mites, you know, and this other person give a year's wages.

The quantity could be different, but I'm telling you, when you fear God and He's the one that what satisfies you, the quality is always gonna be the same.

It's always gonna be pure, it's gonna be out of love, it's gonna be just out of a bridal love, intimate uh romance.

You're just gonna be like, dude, I give you this, Jesus.

It's always gonna be about that.

Uh, if you know, if you fear God, you know, and uh uh 2 Samuel, as we move on, real quick, 2 Samuel 24, 24.

Uh David was praying to give God a sacrifice.

Uh he had to buy a threshing floor, and the oxen, the person he was buying it from, told David, Since you and the king, since you are the king, I will bless you with it for free.

And of course, we know what David says.

If you don't, he says, I don't want to give something to God, that costs me nothing.

That is something I'm telling you.

I live by every day of my life.

And if I forget, if I forget 2 Samuel 24, 24, my life will probably collapse and the foundation will change in my life.

You know, if I don't live by the saying, I don't want to give something to God that doesn't cost me anything.

Uh, and once again, like I said, it's about something that's costly.

He was so willing to do this.

You know, how many of us right now are be like, oh dang, bro, okay.

Like for free.

Thank you, God.

Like, you know, we would be so quick sometimes to do that.

And I just love once again um the response David had.

Him being the king of all.

Maybe it was just some David was just a you know, regular person type thing, but he was like the king of the land.

He could have easily done that, but instead he wanted to give something to God that cost him something.

And it must have been a lot of money, because like I said, he was king.

And he, if it was king, he probably had a lot of you know resources and substance, and it must have been a lot.

I don't think I ever really studied how much it was directly, but uh, I think it must have been a lot though.

It was costly for him.

Uh, but like we said though, you see these people, they're they had the same exact title in the moment.

Saul and David, they had the exact same title.

They had it all they were their king, the exact same title, but instead one feared God and the other one didn't.

And we see what happens.

One gave God what?

Poor quality.

That's what the word of God says.

That you know, it's not me, that's 1 Samuel 15, 9.

Literally, he gave him something worthless or a poor quality.

And then David is on the scene.

He's like, dude, since you're a king, but he's like, Man, I want to give something to God, not poor quality.

I want to give him something costly.

And if something's costly, it means what?

The quality's probably better.

That's why you go get a steak at a nice steakhouse, it's a lot more money if you go get a steak at Dollar Tree or something.

Bali, because why the quality of the food is a lot better, you know, and that's the same thing.

It's like, once again, the quality of it, the willingness of David so fast to say, Man, here I am to give you all.

Here I am to give you everything, even though he had a chance not to do it.

But I believe why?

Because God, the fear of God, he treasured it.

I'm telling you, we gotta we gotta go back to that verse.

What was it?

Um Isaiah 33, 6.

The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

This is what you need to say.

This is going to be my treasure.

Not some blessing down the road, which is great, not ministry, not a title, but the fear of God is gonna be my treasure.

This is the treasure that I'm gonna have, and it's gonna be the fear of God.

And I believe David operated in that.

I believe David was able to say, you know, the fear of God is what I truly value.

You probably read a bunch of Psalms and probably go look him up.

He probably talked about the fear of God in a lot of his songs.

You know, let's just go back to that song that are about the fear of God, that are birthed from the fear of God.

But uh what I'm talking about there is it's simple.

It's just once again, this man feared God and he gave something to God that was very costly and with good quality.

And like I say, if you're willing to give God something that cost you something, you it's it's gonna be for the fear of God.

Why?

Because the value systems change.

Whatever, like I said before, if you don't value, uh if you don't value something, you're not gonna be willing to give something up.

It's gonna be hard for you.

You're gonna be like, uh, I don't I'm not so willing to give my paycheck to this entire whatever God's telling me to have.

Why?

Because you probably don't value it.

You don't value it.

I'm not really willing to invest my time into why because you don't value it.

And that's what I'm trying to say.

Is the fear of God your treasure?

Or is there something else your treasure?

And you can't be willing to say, God, here it is.

I give you everything.

It's you're willing, you're so willing to do it.

Uh 2 Samuel and uh 6.20.

And this is a story about uh David dancing, and I love that because uh 2 Samuel 6.20, and then I just 22 also, but uh just to kind of paraphrase all this, we know, but it's the story of David dancing, and I love it again because he just gave something so something to God so costly.

I believe sometimes that's why people may not like to have Psalms 150 praise.

They don't fear God.

You can go read Psalms, a lot of them, a lot of them talk about praising God because we fear him.

A lot of them say that.

And I believe sometimes in churches we've we have sometimes it's so foreign to have radical praise.

Why?

Probably because you lost the fear of God.

And I believe that's why sometimes people don't radically praise, halal praise him.

It's not like I said, it's not a personality, it's not denominational.

It's if do you fear God?

If you fear God, you give him halal praise.

And that's exactly the same thing right here.

David could have fell into the same trap Saul did right here.

He could have fallen into the same trap.

As a matter of fact, like we always talk about this is his wife.

But instead, he didn't fear man, he feared God, and he wasn't what?

He could have been like, you know what?

These, for real, let's be honest here.

She talks about serving, you know, serving girls and stuff like that for real.

Like he his mind, if he didn't treasure God, he could have been like, Man, like, these girls may look more appealing to me than God.

My wife looks more appealing to me than God.

And he could have easily said things like that.

He could have easily thought that and said, These opinions look more appealing than to me than God.

But instead, he feared God and he praised God the halal way.

And I'm telling you right now, I believe because he feared him, he wasn't dictated by these opinions.

I believe that's I'm telling you, I believe sometimes praise is like sometimes died down in churches.

I believe radical halal praise is because it starts with one man's opinion.

And I'm telling you right now, and sometimes that happens, and I'm telling you, sometimes we stop fearing God, we stop giving him halal praise.

We stop giving him halal praise sometimes because we stop fearing him.

Why?

Because he isn't the thing that we're treasured to, and we're not so willing to give him this radical praise in our life, just like the way David did.

And uh, and we can talk a whole mess about praise and why it's it's it's amazing in lifestyle we need um an amazing lifestyle that we have, a praise to him, radical praise.

Um, and I believe we can lose sight of the fear of God and stop giving and stop being so willing to give him this radical praise, not just in church, not just at some event, not just, hey, right when these like the drums start beating, all this, you know, the pianos go, everything, the bass, not just when that happens, but even whenever we're hiding in a cave, we can still fear God and give him a radical sacrifice of praise.

Why David was so willing.

I want I'm telling I want to get there.

You know, I'm always telling God, mold me into this, mold me into a husband like that, a father that is so willing.

Not, hey, I don't want to be angry, I don't want to, I don't want to be angry or frustrated, I just want to be willing to give him all.

And this is another, this is a rabbit trail.

Not really a rabbit trail, there's a different direction you can always go into also.

A big part of being willing is also yielding, you know.

Um, and that's I think we're talking about maybe a different time, but you know, uh yielding to him, being willing, you know.

But uh I believe once again, like he was David was so willing to give them all.

I believe, you know, look at Jesus giving his life up.

I believe him fearing God and everything he did, living a pure life.

He was just so willing to give it to God.

He was so willing to give it all up.

And I believe just once again, he never wanted to be separated from God.

Never, you know.

I believe we need that heart.

Um we need that heart uh like this.

And um David was the same way.

There's a psalm he says, he says, Don't banish me from your presence.

That's what David says.

He says, Don't banish me from your presence.

And that that's someone right there who truly fears God because he was like, God, I I I don't want to leave you.

I I don't want to be banished from your presence.

Like I don't I don't want to leave the ark.

I don't want to leave the the the priest, I don't want to leave these things.

Don't banish me from your presence.

And I believe when we get there, we we treasure the fear of God, like that is your treasure, the fear of God, and we're so willing to give him a sacrifice of praise, to give him what the alabaster jar.

Uh the alabaster jar.

Uh that would be the thing I close it out with real quick, is like, you know, Mary uh to give him that ala to give him that alabaster jar worship.

Um to give him that, to be so willing to do it, to be just so willing to say, Jesus, I want to pour it all at your feet.

And I believe it dictates with that.

Why?

I believe the reason why Mary did that was why because Jesus was her treasure.

I'm telling you, what is your treasure?

Come on, Isaiah 33, 6.

The fear of the Lord will be your treasure.

And I think when it says that, it's it's God.

You know, God is their treasure.

The fear of it's He's the treasure I want, He is what I desire in life.

And that's what the these people to David, you know, Jesus, you know, Mary, they were able to give such a great sacrifice, so willingly and so joyful.

Why?

Because God was their treasure.

And I'm telling you, we always need to stay there.

And if you're not there, you need to declare that in your life.

You need to say, God, be the treasure of my life.

Like I said, what are you gonna do with the treasure?

You're gonna guard it, it's gonna be valuable to you.

Think about these things.

Purity.

You're gonna guard your guard your heart.

If he's the treasure of your life, you're gonna guard your heart from any sin you can do.

You're gonna guard your heart from any temptation or any addiction or any lie of the enemy.

You're gonna guard your heart if he is your treasure.

And then what?

And then what is it?

You're gonna be willing to give a sacrifice.

Why?

Because that's what treasure's about, right?

You would pay anything for that treasure if I can have it.

You find a treasure, Jesus says, you know, you go, you sell everything just to have it.

Why?

Because it's your treasure, it's valuable to you.

You're so willing to obtain it.

And that's the same thing with David and Mary.

She gave a year's wages.

So easy, so effortlessly.

She gave him everything.

And never talks about in the Bible, she hesitated.

If she did, they would have put it in there.

The Bible literally says she saw Jesus and just got everything out of her house and came back and gave it to him.

She wasn't like, oh man, dude, this is everything I treasure.

For real, that a lot of people talk about that.

That's once again another thing.

There's a lot, but I'm telling you, he's the treasure.

Realistically, the perfume was like the treasure of this woman's life.

It really was.

If you really, really dive deep down, all these things, it was the treasure of her life.

A lot of people say the alabaster jar was used for like a woman to break it at the man's feet, she found saying, You're gonna be my husband.

And literally, why?

Because think about this perfume, the man's gonna be, she's like, You're my treasure now.

Like, you're you're my man.

Yeah, here, come here.

You know, and I think that's about Jesus was Mary's treasure.

And so, without any hesitation, there's no hesitation and willingness.

There's not.

And the fear of God, when he's your treasure, come on, there's no hesitation in your worship and what you gotta do.

There's no hesitation whenever you get this big blessing like Saul just got, and God's like, give it to me.

There's no hesitation.

There's no hesitation.

Jesus obtained uh many thousands of followers.

Thousands of followers.

Come on, here's why you could have taken pictures, you could have had a whole camera crew, he had thousands of followers, but there was no hesitation to Jesus yes when he said, You gotta eat my flesh and drink my blood.

And everybody left him.

There was no hesitation of him being obedient to the Father because that was a treasure he had.

There was no hesitation.

We I'm telling you, that's another way you can tell I lost the fear of God.

I hesitate.

I hesitate in my yes to him.

I hesitate a little bit.

I don't give them all, I give them a little bit at a time, rather than just say, hey, do this.

But anyway, let's just pray real quick.

Jesus, you're amazing.

We love you.

I just pray God we never lose sight of the fear of God.

It doesn't matter.

I pray God uh we don't lose sight of the fear of God.

You know, one thing I love, as I'm just praying right now, one thing I love is the fear of God doesn't make you known, but it gives you greater influence.

And I believe sometimes I look at David's life, God said you're going, I'm gonna make you the most famous man.

And I believe he wasn't just saying, hey, I'm gonna make you well known, but I'm gonna give you great influence.

And we gotta, we we can't allow, we can't, we can't allow the mistake of knowing of knowing the difference of being known and having great influence is totally two different things.

And I think the fear of God will give us great influence.

It may not be well, well known, but you're gonna be great influence.

Great influence at your workplace, a great influence in your city, not just in the church and the people around you, but a great influence in your city when you fear God, when you fear him and he can trust you, and you're so willing to give him everything.

Because why he said, hey, tell these to these thousands of followers, eat your flesh and drink my blood.

So Jesus, I pray we never lose sight of the fear of God.

We never lose sight of this God.

We always want it.

I pray, God, if there's people watching or watch later or hear later, God, I pray if they read Isaiah 33, 6, they can say, God, I want the fear of God to be my treasure.

I don't want some blessing.

I don't want, I don't want anything.

I want the fear of God to be the treasure I obtain.

That's every day of our life, God.

Every day of our life.

Not just tonight, not just Monday.

Every single day, God, we get to have you as our treasure.

And thank you, Jesus, for allowing that to happen.

Thank you, Jesus, for dying on the cross so we can now say, Jesus, you are our treasure.

And we can obtain you so easy now.

I just don't want to lose sight of the fear of God.

I don't.

Father, make us a people who fear you.

Make us a people who says, I treasure the fear of God.

I treasure it.

I want to guard it.

I want to give everything to it to obtain it.

So, Jesus, we love you.

Thank you, Jesus, for real, for dying for us.

So we can make have this to be all possible.

So you can, so we can have a clean hand and a pure heart now because of you, Jesus.

So we thank you, Jesus.
