Carriers of the Glory

[SPEAKER_01]: 2 Samuel chapter 6, we're going to start in verse 1, and we're going to read down through verse 12.

[SPEAKER_01]: Alright, starting in verse 1, reading down through verse 12, it says this, it says, David again assembled all of the choice men in Israel, 30,000.

[SPEAKER_01]: He and all his troops set out to bring the ark of God from Bale Judah.

[SPEAKER_01]: The ark is called by the name, the name of Yahweh of Host who dwells between the

[SPEAKER_01]: They set the Ark of God on a new cart and transported it from Abinna Dab's house, which was on the hill.

[SPEAKER_01]: Usah and Oio sons of Abinna Dab were guiding the cart and brought it with the Ark of God from Abinna Dab's house on the hill.

[SPEAKER_01]: Ohio walked in front of the ark, David in the whole house of Israel, where celebrating before the Lord with all kinds of fur wood, instruments, lears, harps, tambourines, systems, and symbols.

[SPEAKER_01]: When they came to Nicone's Threshing floor, Eusea reached out to the ark of God and took hold of it because the oxen had stumbled.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then the Lord's anger burned against Usah and got struck him dead on the spot for his irreverence and he died there next to the Ark of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: David was angry because the Lord's outburst against Usah, so he named that place and outburst against Usah as it is today.

[SPEAKER_01]: David feared the Lord that day and said, how can the Ark of the Lord ever come to me?

[SPEAKER_01]: So he was not willing to move the ark of God to the city of David and said he took it to the house of Obededam, the Githite.

[SPEAKER_01]: The ark of the Lord remained in his house for three months and the Lord blessed Obededam and his whole family.

[SPEAKER_01]: Verse 12, we'll end here.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was reported to King David.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Lord has blessed Obedeedum's family and all that belongs to him because of the ark of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: So David went and had the ark of God brought up from Obedeedum's house to the city of David with rejoicing.

[SPEAKER_01]: If you're taking notes this morning, the title of today's message is Carriers of the Glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: Carriers of the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: Carriers of the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let's pray, Father, we thank you, Lord, for your Word.

[SPEAKER_01]: We thank you, Father, for teaching us something new today.

[SPEAKER_01]: We thank you, Father, God, Lord, for the revelation of your Word, the truth of your Word, to be unfolded and unpacked before our eyes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Or we receive your Word today, God, and we thank you, Lord, for speaking to us and through us.

[SPEAKER_01]: Lord, we're so grateful, Lord, for you today, God, we're so grateful for the work that you have already begun in this house.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we thank you for the continued work, Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: What you're going to continue to do, Father.

[SPEAKER_01]: Lord, we bless you this morning.

[SPEAKER_01]: We thank you for it in Jesus' name, everybody said.

[SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: All right.

[SPEAKER_01]: Praise the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, now we all know that we serve a God, and we worship a God who is omnipotent.

[SPEAKER_01]: Amen?

[SPEAKER_01]: Have you heard that being said before?

[SPEAKER_01]: He is omnipotent, which simply means he is full of power.

[SPEAKER_01]: He is a God that is full of power.

[SPEAKER_01]: He is omnipotent.

[SPEAKER_01]: We also know that the God that we serve the God that we worship is omnipresent, meaning that he is everywhere all the time.

[SPEAKER_01]: No matter where we go, no matter what we do, no matter what we face, God is with us.

[SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: And His power is made available to us.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Bible says in Psalms 21 that our God neither sleeps nor slumbers.

[SPEAKER_01]: So God doesn't ever go on breaks.

[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't go on vacations.

[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't take a Sunday after new nap.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

[SPEAKER_01]: But God is always working, and He's always working on our behalf.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's always doing something good on our behalf.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's working behind the scenes for each and every one of us.

[SPEAKER_01]: Even at times when we don't feel it, even at times when things are chaotic and confusing and frustrating and maybe all kinds of things are happening all around us.

[SPEAKER_01]: The good news is that even in the midst of all of those times, even in the midst of trials,

[SPEAKER_01]: Circumstances, situations, our God is omnipotent, and our God is omnipresent.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody say amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: So not only is our God all over the place at all times and not only is he full of power, but he doesn't stop.

[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't slow down, but at all times he is at work.

[SPEAKER_01]: He has the strength, he has the power at all times to heal your body.

[SPEAKER_01]: He has the strength, he has the power at all times to restore your family.

[SPEAKER_01]: He has the strength, he has the power to cleanse you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

[SPEAKER_01]: He has the strength, he has the power at any time to forgive you to wash you clean.

[SPEAKER_01]: That is the kind of God that we serve because our God is a God of seismic power.

[SPEAKER_01]: He is the kind of God of seismic activity and He truly wants in your life to shake things up.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now I believe that we all know that God is present, we all know that God is powerful.

[SPEAKER_01]: But today you need to know that there is a more of God that is yet to be uncovered.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's one thing to know that he is powerful and that he is present in your life.

[SPEAKER_01]: But there is so much more because there is the more of God that is yet to be seen, that is yet to be discovered.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now we all know that the presence of God is real.

[SPEAKER_01]: We experience that every week, hopefully experience it in your personal life all the time.

[SPEAKER_01]: No matter what that looks like, maybe your prayer closet or whatever it may be, I know you've heard me say a million times.

[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm in the car about myself, as me and Jesus, and we're just going after it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, worship, going after it, praying, whatever it may be.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's my time away from Melissa away from the kids, away from any other noise or any other people or whatever, I'm right there, I'm just spending time with God, just

[SPEAKER_01]: Even if it's a five-minute drive, it's okay, because I'm just getting in his presence, amen.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we know that the Bible says that his in his presence is fullness thereof, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the presence of the living God, in his presence that we find the more of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: It is in his presence that we can begin to discover the more of God and the things that he has yet to unveil to us and the things that he has yet to reveal to us.

[SPEAKER_01]: When we gathered here this morning, we gathered first and foremost before we did anything, we prayed.

[SPEAKER_01]: We spent time with pre-service prayer, we spent time worshiping the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: And in that, and through that, getting in his presence, there is an immediate awareness that tells us that God is here.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then we don't have to go chase after God.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we don't have to try to pull him down.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're not on the try to do certain things for him to come and make himself known and present in the room.

[SPEAKER_01]: But when we just get in his presence, come on, because he is already here, then then God begins to move on our behalf, amen?

[SPEAKER_01]: Then God begins to work and we start to see the more of God revealed and revelation comes forth, and knowledge comes forth, and God begins to do miraculous works.

[SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you this morning that there is nothing more powerful, nothing more life-changing than the king of kings and the Lord of Lords, making himself known in the very place that you are standing, whether it's in a church service or in your living room or driving in the car or in your office at work, whatever it may be, there is nothing more powerful, nothing more

[SPEAKER_01]: We know that God is in all places at all times.

[SPEAKER_01]: But there are times when God shows up and you just know that He's there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like it is a undeniable, can't explain it, can't try to even comprehend it at times.

[SPEAKER_01]: But it is a knowing that you know that you know that God is in the room.

[SPEAKER_01]: And then when he shows up in the room, all of a sudden, the way you feel starts to change, the way that you think begins to shift.

[SPEAKER_01]: The God begins to move and he begins to do a work on your behalf and he makes himself so known in the atmosphere that we are in.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he says, the ground that you're standing on is actually the ground I'm standing on.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if the ground that you're standing on is the ground that I'm standing on, then guess what?

[SPEAKER_01]: You are standing on holy ground.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it is in those holy moments on holy ground when people are supernaturally healed, when people are supernaturally touched by the power of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: When God comes in and just does a work.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, I didn't even expect that today.

[SPEAKER_01]: God said, I did because I was already here.

[SPEAKER_01]: So listen church, I can't speak for any other church, but I can speak for this church, and I can say that this house will never be satisfied with the knowing God, just knowing of Him and not having His power.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's one thing to know God, it's another thing to know God and His power.

[SPEAKER_01]: and allow his power to be activated and at full work in our lives, amen?

[SPEAKER_01]: We don't want to just know about him.

[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of people know about him.

[SPEAKER_01]: We don't want to just know about him, but we want to know that he's in the room.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we want to be able to allow him to do what he was sent out to do.

[SPEAKER_01]: If he wants to come in and just wreck us, bring it on.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he wants to come in and disrupt and change and move around what we think is a schedule or organized plan or strategy or whatever.

[SPEAKER_01]: Then by all means, God has come and change every bit of it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Church, I'm believing for a time like what second Chronicles chapter 5 verse 14 says, it says, because of the glory of God, the priests couldn't even minister and they fell before the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: I believe in that we're going into a day like second chronicles chapter 5, 14.

[SPEAKER_01]: We're all we can do and just fall on our face before the presence of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: We can't even, we can't even sing, we can't even hold the microphone, we can't even preach.

[SPEAKER_01]: We can't even do anything because the presence of God is so real and so raw and He's moving in such a mighty way.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know about you, but that's what I'm believing for.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm praying for.

[SPEAKER_01]: Amen?

[SPEAKER_01]: I will always contend for that.

[SPEAKER_01]: I will always contend for a move of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: I will always contend for a revival.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's so needed, amen?

[SPEAKER_01]: The God we serve is not a weak God.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's not a puny God.

[SPEAKER_01]: But he is the God of glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: He is the God of glory, and when he walks into the room, everything changes, everything changes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because our God is the sale God, the sale God.

[SPEAKER_01]: He is the God that shakes things violently.

[SPEAKER_01]: He is the God of seismic activity.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, there is no seismograph or however you even say that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Out there that can even measure the power of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, because his power is so much greater, so much stronger, so much more powerful and significant.

[SPEAKER_01]: You can't measure his power, you can't limit his power, you can't even understand his power, but his power is so real.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it's so powerful, it's so strong, it will shake us to the very core, it will eliminate things in our lives that we don't want anymore, it's the power of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: The power of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't want to go to a church that don't allow the power of God to be there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because then, to me, then I have a question, what kind of church is it?

[SPEAKER_01]: Are we here to really experience the true raw power of who Jesus is?

[SPEAKER_01]: The God that rescued you, the God that got you out of the mess that you were in, come on, that if it wasn't for him, if it wasn't for his power, where would you be today?

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, you would be lost, you would be broken, you might be out on the street, you might be locked up, I don't know where you would be, if it wasn't for the power of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: Walked into our youth ministry.

[SPEAKER_01]: God, 15 years ago, if not more 20 years ago, I don't know what it was, not that long?

[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was that long.

[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe not 20.

[SPEAKER_01]: Whatever, it was a long time ago, that's a point.

[SPEAKER_01]: 17 years ago, all right, there you go.

[SPEAKER_01]: And boy, Zach, I love you.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just say it the way it is.

[SPEAKER_01]: He needed Jesus, he needed Jesus, he needed Jesus, Ben, but he was hungry for God.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I remember God met him and just wrecked him.

[SPEAKER_01]: I got pictures of us, man.

[SPEAKER_01]: Just wonderful time, back then.

[SPEAKER_01]: And now to see him now.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like if it wasn't for the power of God that rescued him out of the mess that he was in, doing the...

[SPEAKER_01]: Stuff he was doing, like my God, you know?

[SPEAKER_01]: But we can all look back and we can reflect on our lives and we can remember that if it wasn't for the power of God coming in and sweeping us up and shaking us off, come on somebody, that we would still be in those messes, we would still be bound up, we would still be messed up, but it was the power of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was the power of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm grateful for his power.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm grateful for his glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: His glory, which is the manifested presence of God, his glory that can come into a room.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we could begin to literally be engulfed in his presence.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing better than that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing better than that.

[SPEAKER_01]: So this morning, if you're taking notes, there's three things that I want to give you today.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's three truths about God's glory that I want to teach you.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we may kind of dive into a little bit more of this.

[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe next week, maybe get a little bit deeper.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure, but there's three things that I want to give you today that are significant, that we've got to understand.

[SPEAKER_01]: I think we know these things, but it's a good reminder for us say there's three truths about God's glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want to teach you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Number one is this, God's glory doesn't need our help.

[SPEAKER_01]: God's glory doesn't need our help.

[SPEAKER_01]: The glory of God doesn't need us to, all of a sudden, say, oh yeah, I agree with that, or yeah, I come into unity with your glory God.

[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's not necessary, it's not needed.

[SPEAKER_01]: If His glory begins to fall in a room, if His glory shows up, it'll matter if you've got your arms crossed and you don't care, you don't give a rip about what's happening.

[SPEAKER_01]: The one that is standing there that does, let me tell you, we'll experience the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's no respect to a person's, and if you're not willing, if you're not open to receive, if you're in a position where you're like, I don't care about what you're doing right now in this time, and in this moment God, he doesn't need your permission.

[SPEAKER_01]: If one person says no, he doesn't just say, okay, well, let me go somewhere else.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now God doesn't need your help.

[SPEAKER_01]: His glory doesn't need your help.

[SPEAKER_01]: So in 2nd Samuel chapter 6, Eusem makes the mistake by putting his hand on the arc.

[SPEAKER_01]: We just read that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, Eusem may say that it was the right thing for him to do.

[SPEAKER_01]: By reaching out and putting his hand on the arc because remember, the oxen had tripped.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Bible says the oxen stumbled.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so it was Eusem that immediately saw that the oxen was stumbling and the arc was

[SPEAKER_01]: So you may say, well, there's nothing wrong with that.

[SPEAKER_01]: Why would God strike him dead if he was saving the ark from falling over?

[SPEAKER_01]: But the Bible says that God struck Usah on the spot because of his irreverence in that moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: But even in his irreverence, why did the man have to die?

[SPEAKER_01]: What does that even mean?

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll explain it to you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Simply put, I believe this.

[SPEAKER_01]: Usah died because he tried to hold up what God was trying to kill.

[SPEAKER_01]: He tried to hold up what God was trying to kill.

[SPEAKER_01]: Listen, the cart that the ark traveled on was a method that God was trying to get rid of.

[SPEAKER_01]: And Usah put his hands on the ark from keeping it from falling.

[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let me blow your mind for just a second here.

[SPEAKER_01]: God wanted the ark to fall.

[SPEAKER_01]: He wanted the art to fall.

[SPEAKER_01]: Why?

[SPEAKER_01]: Because he wanted to show Israel how poor they were at carrying the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: How unattentive they were at carrying the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: How unprepared they were for being a carrier of the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: and who's a die trying to prop up what God was trying to get rid of?

[SPEAKER_01]: And hear me church, there are a lot of people in the kingdom that are trying to prop up methods that try to get God to do certain things.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if we do this, God will show up.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if I do this, then God will show up.

[SPEAKER_01]: At the end of the day, God is not looking for us to run to a method, but he's looking for us to run to the altar.

[SPEAKER_01]: It was a mistakenly put his hand upon the ark when God's full intent was for the ark to fall so that he can demonstrate you don't know how to be a carrier of the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's why the Bible says that he struck him because of his irreverence.

[SPEAKER_01]: What was he irreverent to or from or about?

[SPEAKER_01]: He was irreverent to the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: So after use a dies, David gets upset.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he decides to depart the ark at Obeditum's house.

[SPEAKER_01]: I like that name.

[SPEAKER_01]: Obeditum, just sounds cool.

[SPEAKER_01]: Who, by the way, Obeditum was a good tit, which means that he wasn't even in the proper line to inherit the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: He wasn't even gonna, it wasn't even gonna touch his home.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was a get-tie.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was outside of the line, the heritage that we're gonna receive this thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was outside of that, and David goes up to Obed, eat him's house and says, hey, would you mind holding this arc for us?

[SPEAKER_01]: I believe I'll better eat him, understood the assignment, understood the importance of the Ark of God, the Ark of Covenant, knowing that the glory of God was literally contained within the Ark.

[SPEAKER_01]: And he couldn't find anybody else, that's what's interesting to me.

[SPEAKER_01]: Notice that the scripture begins telling us that it was David and his 30,000 men that he chose.

[SPEAKER_01]: 30,000 men plus David, and there wasn't one person that was qualified to carry the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: Not one of them.

[SPEAKER_01]: So he settled for a man who really had no right to have the arc parked at his house.

[SPEAKER_01]: But while he may not had a right, he knew the assignment.

[SPEAKER_01]: And while David and the 30,000 men argued, what are we going to do next?

[SPEAKER_01]: And you can go on to read the rest of the story.

[SPEAKER_01]: How are we going to do this?

[SPEAKER_01]: And we're going to take it and all these things were happening.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Bible explains to us that the ark literally set in Obededam's house for three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: Three months while they argued.

[SPEAKER_01]: Three months while they tried to figure out what to do.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because they didn't know how to carry the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to go three minutes, let alone three weeks or without the glory of God, and because of their irreverence and because of their misjudgment on carrying the glory of God, they missed out on God's glory for three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: Three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: But Obededum did not.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so while everybody else was looking for the answers and looking for all of this and looking for that, Obededam said, let me be a place where the glory of God can rest.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let my house be a house for his glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know that I'm not in the right line, but I will willingly take care of the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: And when God couldn't find nobody else, he found a good tight man on a hillside.

[SPEAKER_01]: That said, I will protect the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll be a carrier of the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: So may say, out loud, say, Lord, you can park the ark at my house.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, let's say it again, say, Lord, you can park the ark at my house.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, you can park the market at my house or if nobody owns one's your glory, if nobody owns one's to carry your glory, I'll take it.

[SPEAKER_01]: If the 30,000 men don't want nothing to do with it, God give it to me.

[SPEAKER_01]: You can trust me with your glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: As a matter of fact, I don't want to miss out on this opportunity to not have your glory

[SPEAKER_01]: All of them said no, but I will say yes, because I can't live without your glory Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: I can't go another day without your glory God.

[SPEAKER_01]: And so if there's anywhere else that you're going to put it, if there's anywhere else you're going to take it God, God, you can trust me to be a carrier of your glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on.

[SPEAKER_01]: May that be our prayer this morning, church.

[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody else wants it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take it.

[SPEAKER_01]: If my spouse doesn't want nothing to do with it, I'll take it.

[SPEAKER_01]: If my household, if they don't even care about it, I don't care.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll take it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just want the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: I want the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: Man, raise God.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

[SPEAKER_01]: So God's glory doesn't need our help.

[SPEAKER_01]: But number two is this, that God's glory brings the blessing.

[SPEAKER_01]: God's glory brings the blessing.

[SPEAKER_01]: So after David figures everything out, three months has gone by, he then goes back to Obedeatham's house.

[SPEAKER_01]: He knew imagine being Obedeatham and David shows back up and says, hey, I'm ready to take this net, like no.

[SPEAKER_01]: Please, I like it the way it is right now.

[SPEAKER_01]: Things are really, really good.

[SPEAKER_01]: Please, don't take this thing away.

[SPEAKER_01]: And David shows up, and I want you to catch this today.

[SPEAKER_01]: The Bible says, and David arrived, after three months had gone by, the Bible says that the Lord blessed Obed-eatum and his entire household.

[SPEAKER_01]: The blessing wasn't just on Obed-eatum.

[SPEAKER_01]: but it was on his wife, and it was on his daughters.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now watch this, this is gonna blow your minds.

[SPEAKER_01]: This is gonna sound like it's completely impossible, but remember, we serve the God of impossible.

[SPEAKER_01]: And when God's glory shows up, crazy things happen.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I have been an atmosphere where I have seen people like radically saved in the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: I have literally seen people super naturally healed, right?

[SPEAKER_01]: Before my eyes, many times in the presence of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: So there's no limitations for what the glory can do.

[SPEAKER_01]: So if the Bible says that Obedeanum and his entire household were blessed over the course of those three months, what was that all about?

[SPEAKER_01]: When you study Obedee Names' life and you go deep into this text and you begin to explore the ends and outs of what's happening in this story.

[SPEAKER_01]: You'll discover that many theologians and many historians and many people who have looked into this and have documented things and going back and reading old things of the past.

[SPEAKER_01]: They have documented that with Obedee Names' house during this time that his wife is going to sound crazy.

[SPEAKER_01]: But hear me.

[SPEAKER_01]: his wife and his two daughters all bore two children a month for three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: Now, one lady carrying a baby for nine months, you're like, I'm done.

[SPEAKER_01]: But can you imagine?

[SPEAKER_01]: This is why it's crazy.

[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, this don't make no sense,

[SPEAKER_01]: that because the arc, the glory of God, rested in his household, that Obed Edom's wife was able to bear two children in three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: And there are two daughters, both bore two children in three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: How many kids is that?

[SPEAKER_01]: Six.

[SPEAKER_01]: Six kids in three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: In other words, God multiplied God double the blessing.

[SPEAKER_01]: He literally, it was a double portion because of his glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: And you see church went, when the presence of God gets in the house, your house gets fruitful.

[SPEAKER_01]: When God's glory shows up and God's glory is in your house, there is fruit of the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the proof and the evidence that Obed Eden was blessed because of the glory, was that they were able to supernaturally bear more children than anybody could ever naturally do.

[SPEAKER_01]: It won't even add up.

[SPEAKER_01]: It makes a zero sense whatsoever.

[SPEAKER_01]: How can a child be born in three months?

[SPEAKER_01]: Let alone two children out of one person.

[SPEAKER_01]: And three months, it would never make sense.

[SPEAKER_01]: It would never, ever, ever make sense.

[SPEAKER_01]: But when it comes to the glory, it makes perfect sense.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because God does things beyond.

[SPEAKER_01]: His ways are not our ways.

[SPEAKER_01]: His thoughts are not our thoughts.

[SPEAKER_01]: And if God wants to do something, then God's going to do it no matter if we give him permission to do it or not.

[SPEAKER_01]: The blessing shows up, and we see that Obededam was able to literally have his house multiply.

[SPEAKER_01]: His house literally became more fruitful than it had ever been before because the glory of God was resting in his home.

[SPEAKER_01]: If we, today, could only say, God, I welcome your glory in my house.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying you're going to have two kids in three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: But what I am saying, hello, come on somebody like a heck, no, I'll be on the news and everything, like all kinds of stuff will happen, they'll lock me up because they'll think I'm not saying all that, yeah.

[SPEAKER_01]: But can you imagine if we just said yes to the glory of God in our own homes, in our own houses, and in our own places, can you imagine what God would be able and willing to do

[SPEAKER_01]: If we just said yes to him, listen, his glory is not just for Sunday mornings.

[SPEAKER_01]: See, and we think that so many times, we think, oh, you know, I got to go to church so I can get in his presence.

[SPEAKER_01]: No, if that's the way it is, you kind of are coming for the wrong reason.

[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, his presence is going to be here, and yes, you do come to church because you want to be in the presence of God, but you are a carrier of the glory of God, no matter where you go, no matter where you're at, whether it's your home or your workplace or your car, come on, going into a family map, going into a restaurant, it doesn't matter you are a carrier of the glory of God, we ought to be able to see that glory shining off of you.

[SPEAKER_01]: You ought to be able to experience the glory when you come into encounter with a carrier of the glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

[SPEAKER_01]: That doesn't mean that everything else vanishes and all of our problems go away and all that kind of self-know.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's not what I'm saying today.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I would much rather have his glory than not.

[SPEAKER_01]: I would much rather go into an atmosphere, walk into an environment and allow God to use me or allow somebody to recognize the glory of God that is within me, then to just be present.

[SPEAKER_01]: And I pray that for us today that we would not just say, oh, I want to be a carrier of the glory, but that we will literally adopt

[SPEAKER_01]: What I'm saying this morning and say, you know what, no matter what it takes, no matter what I have to go through, no matter what I face, it'll be worth it, God.

[SPEAKER_01]: I just want to carry your glory.

[SPEAKER_01]: no matter how many trials I'm having to deal with or going to deal with no matter of all hell is knocking at my door and I feel all the pressures of the world and and all these things are going south and all these things are happening all around me I will still choose to be a carrier of your glory because I know that as a carrier of your glory God that is where your blessing comes.

[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: When the presence gets loose in a house, we literally see barren wounds began to open up.

[SPEAKER_01]: So same thing that when the presence of God gets loose into an atmosphere, that things come to life.

[SPEAKER_01]: Body's over his stored.

[SPEAKER_01]: People are set free.

[SPEAKER_01]: God begins to do a work.

[SPEAKER_01]: Because his presence is there, his glory is there.

[SPEAKER_01]: Number one, God's glory doesn't need our help.

[SPEAKER_01]: Number two, God's glory brings the blessing.

[SPEAKER_01]: And number three, God's glory shakes things up.

[SPEAKER_01]: God's glory shakes things up.

[SPEAKER_01]: Notice what happens next.

[SPEAKER_01]: David hears how good God has been,

[SPEAKER_01]: in the area of blessing Obededam's household.

[SPEAKER_01]: He gathers his men up.

[SPEAKER_01]: He goes back to Obededam's house.

[SPEAKER_01]: He says, okay, I'm taking the ark back into the city, taking it back to Jerusalem.

[SPEAKER_01]: And it was then on their journey, back to Jerusalem, that it is believed by many scholars that David wrote Psalms 24.

[SPEAKER_01]: And when you think about it from this perspective of the story of David Keering, the ark from Obededam's house up to Jerusalem, you can begin to understand why he wrote what he wrote in Psalms chapter 24.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let's read it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Psalms 24 verse 3 through seven says, who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?

Psalms 24:3

[SPEAKER_01]: Who may stand in his holy place?

[SPEAKER_01]: The one who has clean hands in a pure heart,

[SPEAKER_01]: who has not set his mind on what is false, and who has not sworn deceitfully, he will receive blessings from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of His salvation, such as a generation of those who seek Him, who seek the face of God of Jacob.

[SPEAKER_01]: Salah, lift up your heads, you gates, rise up,

[SPEAKER_01]: then the king of glory will come in.

[SPEAKER_01]: On his way, carrying the ark, God's glory, back into the city, he says, lift your heads, oh, Gates.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, ancient doors so that the king of glory will come in.

[SPEAKER_01]: The glory hasn't been here, but guess what, the king of glory is coming back.

[SPEAKER_01]: The glory's been away, the glory's been gone, but lift up your heads because guess what, the King of glory is coming back.

[SPEAKER_01]: When you go and you look and you study and you find out that Obed's Edom's house set in a lower proximity to Jerusalem, that's why David was saying, who may as sin the mountain of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to ascend the mountain of the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to carry the glory back to its rightful place.

[SPEAKER_01]: Who's going to do it?

[SPEAKER_01]: The one with clean hands and a pure heart.

[SPEAKER_01]: God, I've been arguing for three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've been frustrated for three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've been miserable for three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't been able to figure out nothing.

[SPEAKER_01]: I haven't been able to lead the people like you've called me to.

[SPEAKER_01]: But finally, after three months, I discovered that the only way I'm gonna be able to carry your glory properly.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's if I have clean hands in a pure heart.

[SPEAKER_01]: In other words, let the 30,000 say what they want, let them act how they want.

[SPEAKER_01]: Let them be some kind of way.

[SPEAKER_01]: But as for me and my house,

[SPEAKER_01]: we're going to serve the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: As for me and my house, we're going to be a carrier of the glory of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: So then look at what 2 Samuel chapter 6 verse 14.

2 Samuel 6:14

[SPEAKER_01]: We stopped before this earlier, but look at what this says.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's a few verses down later.

[SPEAKER_01]: David was dancing with all his might

[SPEAKER_01]: carrying the glory back to Jerusalem, what was David doing?

[SPEAKER_01]: He's dancing.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's dancing.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's rejoicing.

[SPEAKER_01]: He's celebrating why?

[SPEAKER_01]: Why would he be doing that?

[SPEAKER_01]: It was almost in the matter of an instant that David went from being so concerned about the arc to be a more concern about worship being the king.

[SPEAKER_01]: Why?

[SPEAKER_01]: Because David knew that the presence of God was literally about to shake things up.

[SPEAKER_01]: David began to dance.

[SPEAKER_01]: David began to worship because he knew that there was a shaking that was coming because the glory was coming back into the city of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: He understood that the presence of God, the glory of God would change everything.

[SPEAKER_01]: So David held nothing back, but instead he danced in a spirit of worship.

[SPEAKER_01]: He danced in a spirit of worship.

[SPEAKER_01]: You got to catch this one last thing.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to read it.

[SPEAKER_01]: You can go back and read it later.

[SPEAKER_01]: Jump a few verses down and it says,

[SPEAKER_01]: McCall was looking out the window at David as he was coming up the hill, carrying the arc of the covenant back and saw that he was dancing wildly before the Lord.

[SPEAKER_01]: He was going all out dancing, rejoicing, celebrating.

[SPEAKER_01]: And the Bible says that she got angry and upset at him and she despised him.

[SPEAKER_01]: In other words, she looked down out of that window, not understanding the context of the situation, not knowing what David had gone through, not knowing that David was without the presence of God for three months.

[SPEAKER_01]: She looked down out of the window and saw David rejoicing and she judged him for his worship.

[SPEAKER_01]: And she said, why is he worshiping like that?

[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he acting like that?

[SPEAKER_01]: Why is he rejoicing?

[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't had the glory of God here.

[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't experienced God's presence.

[SPEAKER_01]: Why would he be dancing before the Lord like that?

[SPEAKER_01]: And she judged him and despised him in that moment.

[SPEAKER_01]: Here, here, me this morning, church.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know when God is shaking things up when people start despising your worship.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know and God is shaking things up when people don't understand why you worship the way you worship.

[SPEAKER_01]: You know God is shaking things up when people start talking against why you do what you do and how you do it because you just love God And you're just going after him.

[SPEAKER_01]: I love when people are passionate in worship I love when people lift their hands.

[SPEAKER_01]: I love when people shout I love when people run around and jump up and down and all of that why because there is a story behind their worship at one time They didn't

[SPEAKER_01]: know what the glory of God was, but they encountered the King and his name was Jesus and they met God in the presence of the living God and their lives were forever changed and for that they have a reason to rejoice, they have a reason to celebrate.

[SPEAKER_01]: So let me tell you this morning, don't you ever judge anybody by their worship?

[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know the hell that they've been through.

[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know the story.

[SPEAKER_01]: That's behind their worship.

[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know what they've experienced the good times and the bad times.

[SPEAKER_01]: Don't be like McCall.

[SPEAKER_01]: Looking out of the window, saying, why are you even worshiping like that?

[SPEAKER_01]: If I'm the only one spinning and jumping and going crazy, I don't care.

[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care because I know what God has done for me.

[SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know what it's like to be without the glory and all of a sudden experience God.

[SPEAKER_01]: I know what it's like to be outside of his will and all of a sudden be back in it.

[SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

[SPEAKER_01]: There is nothing better than being in the presence of God.

[SPEAKER_01]: Some people say, I don't understand why I go to churches like this and they worship the way they do.

[SPEAKER_01]: They worship that way because they know who they are.

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we've been in churches, big churches, big churches.

[SPEAKER_01]: We've been in churches standing there.

[SPEAKER_01]: And we look around in a one person worshiping.

[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, the God not save you?

[SPEAKER_01]: I did not get the God not rescue you.

[SPEAKER_01]: Did God not heal you?

[SPEAKER_01]: Did God not set you free?

[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'm not judging anybody, but I'm just saying, like, if God alone only saved me and did nothing else, I would be jumping up and down.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing like a radical praise from a radical worshiper.

[SPEAKER_01]: who once was blind, but now they see.

[SPEAKER_01]: Who once was bound, but now they're found, come on somebody.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing greater than that.

[SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing than sin.

[SPEAKER_01]: Better than sin, somebody who was so messed up from the floor up and God did a work in their life and all of a sudden, they start rejoicing the Lord and celebrating and worshiping some kind of way and you look at them and you think, what the heck is going on with them?

[SPEAKER_01]: But then you realized, wow, it was God who did a work.
