  1. [SPEAKER_01]: So before I get started, let us pray.

  2. [SPEAKER_01]: Father God, I ask for open years and open hearts today.

  3. [SPEAKER_01]: Father God, I ask that every word that I speak resonates with somebody in this church and help somebody through anything that they're going through.

  4. [SPEAKER_01]: Father God, I ask that you speak through me and to me if any of this pertains to me.

  5. [SPEAKER_01]: Father God, I thank you so much for every person in here.

  6. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for getting them here safely.

  7. [SPEAKER_01]: And thank you for getting them home safely today.

  8. [SPEAKER_01]: And thank you for everything that you've done and everything that you will do in Jesus' name, amen.

  9. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

  10. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

  11. [SPEAKER_01]: So last week Austin started a new sermon series called Doing It, God's Way.

  12. [SPEAKER_01]: And just to help them out a little bit, I said, yeah, I'll stay in line with that.

  13. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  14. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll do it, God's way, just a little bit.

  15. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  16. [SPEAKER_01]: So, my sermon today is going to be short, but I really hope that it speaks to you.

  17. [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be about reading yourself of things that are not of God.

  18. [SPEAKER_01]: and to allow the things that are of God in, right?

  19. [SPEAKER_01]: So the title of the message today, we kind of coordinated the worship team and I, pour it out, that's the name of my, that's the name of a message if you can put that up on the board real quick.

  20. [SPEAKER_01]: Pour it out.

  21. [SPEAKER_01]: Good ways to pour it out, and then there are some things that you might need to pour out that's not so good.

  22. [SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to talk about those really quick and then we'll go into the good stuff, okay?

  23. [SPEAKER_01]: So it is about pushing the things out that are not of God to allow the things that are of God in.

  24. [SPEAKER_01]: So instead of making points that I actually have a couple questions for y'all, and I'll start with the first one, what is consuming you?

  25. [SPEAKER_01]: What is getting in the way of you really releasing your life, your heart, everything about you to God, right?

  26. [SPEAKER_01]: So I really hope that you take this question, don't answer it today, but think about it.

  27. [SPEAKER_01]: As you go through your week, as you go through your day, what's really consuming your life, right?

  28. [SPEAKER_01]: Is there several things, right?

  29. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're gonna talk about a couple of those and I hope that we can pray you through that at the end of this, okay?

  30. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you have a high opinion of yourself that's above everyone else?

  31. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you put yourself above everyone?

  32. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you greedy?

  33. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you're overly focused on possessions and material things.

  34. [SPEAKER_01]: In view or jealousy, resentful that somebody else might have something that you don't, instead of being thankful for what God gave you.

  35. [SPEAKER_01]: Wrath or anger?

  36. [SPEAKER_01]: Sloth or laziness, gluttony or maybe even lust, does that sound familiar?

  37. [SPEAKER_01]: My little niece, my sister over here, my little niece, Mia, how old is she?

  38. [SPEAKER_01]: 12, 12.

  39. [SPEAKER_01]: They called me last year and Christy asked me, she says, are you ever going to preach?

  40. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, probably sometime.

  41. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't know it was going to be a year and a half later, but here I am.

  42. [SPEAKER_01]: And so my little niece that's 11 at the time starts talking to me about the seven heavenly virtues.

  43. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, what?

  44. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I just mentioned the seven deadly sins, right?

  45. [SPEAKER_01]: And she starts telling me about that and I'm like, wow, you know, here I am churched, but I have no idea about this seven heavenly virtues and this 11 year old is teaching me something.

  46. [SPEAKER_01]: So we want to talk about the ways to get rid of the seven deadly sins and replace it with the seven heavenly virtues, right?

  47. [SPEAKER_01]: Because for every bad thing in the world, God offers something better or good, right?

  48. [SPEAKER_01]: So humility against pride, having a modest view of yourself, acknowledging one's limitation and not boasting, thinking of yourself maybe a little bit less.

  49. [SPEAKER_01]: For greed is charity, it's not necessarily charity like we give to a charity, but it can be.

  50. [SPEAKER_01]: It's more often about being selfless,

  51. [SPEAKER_01]: and love and willingness to help others, giving freely, not just of money, but of time, patience, maybe, if we struggle with that.

  52. [SPEAKER_01]: Invirigelicy, I strongly think about this a lot because it's so easy for me to look at Melissa and think, God, her voice is so beautiful, I wish I had that voice because mine's not nothing like that.

  53. [SPEAKER_01]: though I try up here, I promise you I do, I try, but it doesn't, doesn't go that great, right?

  54. [SPEAKER_01]: So, but I love her voice and I look up to her for her voice, but I can't say that I'm jealous, right, because God gave me something different.

  55. [SPEAKER_01]: He gave me the ability to dance freely, right?

  56. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe recently, right?

  57. [SPEAKER_01]: This happened to me very recently that I just,

  58. [SPEAKER_01]: Maria knows, I just fell out and and all the junk that I carried around for 40 years.

  59. [SPEAKER_01]: I left me right there on this floor, right?

  60. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like no longer do I have to be jealous or invious of what somebody else had because God gave me something, right?

  61. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean he gave me something and I'm looking for it and when I find it I'll let you know, right?

  62. [SPEAKER_01]: But I tell you what the search is good, right?

  63. [SPEAKER_01]: The search is so good.

  64. [SPEAKER_01]: So I think about envy and jealousy a lot because this world will teach us to look at people on TV, people on the internet, and what you're seeing is one side of them, but not every side of them, right?

  65. [SPEAKER_01]: Because we know that there's something else, right?

  66. [SPEAKER_01]: So don't be stuck in envy or jealousy.

  67. [SPEAKER_01]: Look at what God gave you and use that, right?

  68. [SPEAKER_01]: Wrath or anger?

  69. [SPEAKER_01]: I was an angry child, I was an angry teenager and I was an angry young adult.

  70. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you still get a little angry sometimes, but not, I don't write your anger.

  71. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I was looking for a word last night and that's it, write your anger.

  72. [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.

  73. [SPEAKER_01]: Because whenever we were on our way home last night from a trip and we were listening to the story about that little girl Athena strand, right?

  74. [SPEAKER_01]: And anger, right?

  75. [SPEAKER_01]: And Harvard should shake in his head,

  76. [SPEAKER_01]: Righteous anger, right?

  77. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay good, but I don't live in anger any longer, right?

  78. [SPEAKER_01]: Things can make me a little shaky, but I don't get angry like that.

  79. [SPEAKER_01]: Matthew told me my son yesterday says, I don't think I've heard you raise your voice and so long, but praise God.

  80. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you my hear me on Sunday morning?

  81. [SPEAKER_01]: But not at home, amen.

  82. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  83. [SPEAKER_01]: Delivered, yes, and I could feel that so deeply.

  84. [SPEAKER_01]: So the next one is gluttony, right?

  85. [SPEAKER_01]: So the opposite of that is temperance, right?

  86. [SPEAKER_01]: So what gluttony is, we think about that as food, right?

  87. [SPEAKER_01]: It can be, but it's not always just food.

  88. [SPEAKER_01]: It's what you overindulge yourself in, right?

  89. [SPEAKER_01]: So many of you may know some of you may not know.

  90. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we struggled with addiction many years ago.

  91. [SPEAKER_01]: That is self-indulgent at its finest, that is greed at its finest, because you only think about yourself and what it's going to take to get you to the next feel-good moment, right?

  92. [SPEAKER_01]: And when you let that go, it's so free, right?

  93. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think part of what left me that day.

  94. [SPEAKER_01]: Was that?

  95. [SPEAKER_01]: It was just that it was no longer the need for that or to think about that.

  96. [SPEAKER_01]: It really just left, right?

  97. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think if you're dealing with anything today, maybe drinking addiction in another way, porn, whatever it might be.

  98. [SPEAKER_01]: I just asked just to pour it out, pour it out at the altar today and leave it here so that God can handle it and God's people can handle it, right?

  99. [SPEAKER_01]: Stay in the word.

  100. [SPEAKER_01]: Stay self-indulgent in the Scripture.

  101. [SPEAKER_01]: Let Scripture sculpt your life because I'm telling you the answers are there for everything you might be dealing with.

  102. [SPEAKER_01]: Even if you don't know you're dealing with it, right?

  103. [SPEAKER_01]: Ask God to reveal that to you today.

  104. [SPEAKER_01]: Sloth or laziness, I really read into this one because that's such an ugly word, sloth, right?

  105. [SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, right?

  106. [SPEAKER_01]: It just sounds gross.

  107. [SPEAKER_01]: Sloth.

  108. [SPEAKER_01]: But when I really dug into it, it's spiritual laziness.

  109. [SPEAKER_01]: That's, I was like, wow, you know, not meeting your fullest potential, not meeting using the talents that God gave you.

  110. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, whoa, goodness, you know, so here I stand.

  111. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just kidding.

  112. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just kidding.

  113. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm kidding.

  114. [SPEAKER_01]: You, I lost her there.

  115. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

  116. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm joking.

  117. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a joke.

  118. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.

  119. [SPEAKER_01]: Um, but diligence, love that word.

  120. [SPEAKER_01]: Diligence is the opposite of sloth or laziness, right?

  121. [SPEAKER_01]: Persistence, strong work ethic, effort and fulfilling one's duties, both spiritual and practical, love that.

  122. [SPEAKER_01]: So good, right?

  123. [SPEAKER_01]: Lust, another word, I don't like all that much.

  124. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure it's got a good part of it, but not to me.

  125. [SPEAKER_01]: Intense disordered sexual desire or craving.

  126. [SPEAKER_01]: And I think that a lot of men, young men, old men deal with porn, and that's a hate even saying the word, but we deal with it, so I want to talk about it, right?

  127. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I think ultimately, we may not think that that is bad or that it gets in the way, but if you're married, I promise you, your spouse doesn't want you looking at porn, right?

  128. [SPEAKER_01]: I promise you that, because it's given you an eye for someone else, right, God gay should give you an eye for your wife, your husband.

  129. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's it, right?

  130. [SPEAKER_01]: Even if you're illustrating over somebody on TV, come on, right, or somebody that's walking by, it doesn't hurt to look.

  131. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it does, but it does, right?

  132. [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus talks about it, right?

  133. [SPEAKER_01]: If you don't know, read about it.

  134. [SPEAKER_01]: It's bad, it's really bad.

  135. [SPEAKER_01]: But I love the opposite of that, chastity, refers to honoring the sanctity of a sexual relationship, keeping them within proper boundaries, right?

  136. [SPEAKER_01]: Be married, right?

  137. [SPEAKER_01]: Just be married, right?

  138. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want to do that, get married, right?

  139. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, come on.

  140. [SPEAKER_01]: You should want to marry the person that you're with.

  141. [SPEAKER_01]: I think ultimately, if I had one regret in life, it would be that.

  142. [SPEAKER_01]: not saving myself from marriage, right?

  143. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a big deal and we got to talk about it because it happens and it's real, right?

  144. [SPEAKER_01]: So I ask if you're dealing with any one of those things, all of those things, right?

  145. [SPEAKER_01]: Really allow some of us in here to pray for you to pray through it.

  146. [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to come up here and say I'm dealing with lust, I'm dealing with gluttony, God knows what you're dealing with, God knows your heart.

  147. [SPEAKER_01]: right.

  148. [SPEAKER_01]: So I just want really just wanted to take today to talk about those things.

  149. [SPEAKER_01]: Number one because I promise me of my niece and hopefully she's watching or will watch.

  150. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, good.

  151. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I learned so much from an 11-year-old girl.

  152. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, you know what, if I can learn, we got to be open to everything, open to learning from everyone, anyone, no matter what.

  153. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was so proud that she wanted to call and talk to me about it.

  154. [SPEAKER_01]: I love that little girl.

  155. [SPEAKER_01]: I do.

  156. [SPEAKER_01]: I love her.

  157. [SPEAKER_01]: She's so smart.

  158. [SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm going to pop up a scripture for me real quick.

  159. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I think I just went on and on and passed up my scripture.

  160. [SPEAKER_01]: So, if you can put up first Peter for me,

  161. [SPEAKER_01]: Two, one, three, three.

  162. [SPEAKER_01]: So it says, rid yourselves of all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander.

  163. [SPEAKER_01]: Like newborn infants desire the pure spiritual milk so that you may grow for grow by it for your salvation since you have tasted that the Lord is good.

  164. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

  165. [SPEAKER_01]: So I picked that scripture because of the Y Peter's writing this letter, right?

  166. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's writing this letter because Gentiles, you know, Gentiles are those of us who are accepted into the kingdom of God through the blood of Jesus, right?

  167. [SPEAKER_01]: We're not Jewish, so we're Gentiles.

  168. [SPEAKER_01]: and he's writing to the church in Rome because they're being persecuted, right?

  169. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's writing this letter to remind them who they are in Christ, that they don't have to be hypocrites.

  170. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't have to be torn down by slander, right to remember who they are, right?

  171. [SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me, who they are in Christ?

  172. [SPEAKER_01]: Let me get back down to my notes.

  173. [SPEAKER_01]: Like I said, let's scripture, sculpture life, right?

  174. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're a new to Christianity, even if you've been in the church for a long time, go back and read the gospels, right?

  175. [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes we think we're so much, but go back and read it.

  176. [SPEAKER_01]: It's gonna speak to you in a new way.

  177. [SPEAKER_01]: as you mature and grow.

  178. [SPEAKER_01]: We always talk about being on milk, a newborn Christian, you're still on your mother's milk.

  179. [SPEAKER_01]: She haven't grown into the maturity of solid food yet, but take yourself back to the milk for a little bit.

  180. [SPEAKER_01]: Alright, so question number two.

  181. [SPEAKER_01]: With all that being said, will you make room for what God has for you?

  182. [SPEAKER_01]: Will you make room for what God has for you?

  183. [SPEAKER_01]: What is so beautiful about these scriptures?

  184. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm about to read another one, and I want you to go back to it, is he gives us what might be wrong.

  185. [SPEAKER_01]: But at the end of each scripture that I'm going to read, there is a lightness, a hope, right?

  186. [SPEAKER_01]: So if you can put up Titus 3-3-7, I read it three times this week, Titus, the book of Titus is so short.

  187. [SPEAKER_01]: it's amazing.

  188. [SPEAKER_01]: For we too were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, detesting one another.

  189. [SPEAKER_01]: But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love for mankind appeared, he saved us, not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to his mercy, through the

  190. [SPEAKER_01]: of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit, right?

  191. [SPEAKER_01]: So, man, I've truly fallen in love with the Spirit of God.

  192. [SPEAKER_01]: And honestly, I can't back in January, February, maybe, last time Christian was here the first time she came.

  193. [SPEAKER_01]: I just fell in love in a new way.

  194. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not going to get emotional.

  195. [SPEAKER_01]: I got emotional the last time I did this.

  196. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to do it this time, because it's not cute to cry.

  197. [SPEAKER_01]: Although I'm sweaty as heck, because I love the spirit of God and I love when it falls on this place, right?

  198. [SPEAKER_01]: So one more scripture for you.

  199. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, did it already up there?

  200. [SPEAKER_01]: Was that my last one?

  201. [SPEAKER_01]: There was another one.

  202. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, he poured out his spirit on a subundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that having been justified by his grace, we may become ears with the hope of eternal life.

  203. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen, right?

  204. [SPEAKER_01]: So being happy is a choice, right?

  205. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to be happy.

  206. [SPEAKER_01]: You have to make the choice to be happy.

  207. [SPEAKER_01]: No matter what's going on, true happiness and true joy is not something that you,

  208. [SPEAKER_01]: Honestly, you can't fake it, right?

  209. [SPEAKER_01]: You've got to learn how to be joyous about everything.

  210. [SPEAKER_01]: It's okay to get angry.

  211. [SPEAKER_01]: It's okay to get sad.

  212. [SPEAKER_01]: It's okay to be frustrated.

  213. [SPEAKER_01]: But do you live in it?

  214. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you live there?

  215. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  216. [SPEAKER_01]: No.

  217. [SPEAKER_01]: True joy will overcome those emotions quickly, right?

  218. [SPEAKER_01]: When you just let it go, give it to God, right?

  219. [SPEAKER_01]: So my very last question, I know this was short.

  220. [SPEAKER_01]: I said it was going to be sweet.

  221. [SPEAKER_01]: So if I can get the worship team.

  222. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you ready for the pouring out?

  223. [SPEAKER_01]: And I need some cheers or some claps or something, right?

  224. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen, right?

  225. [SPEAKER_01]: Again, I told you I was going to be quick, right?

  226. [SPEAKER_01]: But that's okay.

  227. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to get once they get up here.

  228. [SPEAKER_01]: She's coming, I'll take a drink of water.

  229. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's give it up for them.

  230. [SPEAKER_01]: And Josh, she's like a rock star.

  231. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, I got to say something real quick about this

  232. [SPEAKER_01]: Josh's got to be there because I got a laugh.

  233. [SPEAKER_01]: He is so funny.

  234. [SPEAKER_01]: He makes me laugh every time he makes me laugh, right?

  235. [SPEAKER_01]: So as they begin, can we get the lights, gentleman?

  236. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.

  237. [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

  238. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to close this really quick.

  239. [SPEAKER_01]: So just as they begin,

  240. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll probably pass it over to Austin or Eric because they do way better at this than I do, but I just really want everybody to just enter in for a moment.

  241. [SPEAKER_01]: And really think about those things that you might be dealing with in life.

  242. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I know this is just a bunch of words that somebody said, but if you really let it resonate with you, when Jesus returns, what do you want him to find you doing?

  243. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want him to find you in your mess?

  244. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want him to find you in anger?

  245. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you want him to return and find you?

  246. [SPEAKER_01]: With another woman or another man or watching porn?

  247. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's be real, right?

  248. [SPEAKER_01]: Because my God, when my God returns to take me, I want to be serving Him and only Him, right?

  249. [SPEAKER_01]: I want the Spirit of God to be all over my life that when I walk into a room, no devil in hell can stand up against me.

  250. [SPEAKER_01]: And I truly, truly, firmly believe that that happens during time of praise and worship.

  251. [SPEAKER_01]: I honestly believe that you relinquish that junk.

  252. [SPEAKER_01]: Whatever you give it to God and you just allow yourself to be free in His worship.

  253. [SPEAKER_01]: Worship Him and praise Him.

  254. [SPEAKER_01]: and everything that you do.

  255. [SPEAKER_01]: Every morning when your feet hit the ground praise him, if somebody makes you mad on the road, you praise him.

  256. [SPEAKER_01]: When you go to bed, you praise him.

  257. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for another day.

  258. [SPEAKER_01]: Father God, I just want to pray over these people today.

  259. [SPEAKER_01]: Lord, people that I know well, people that I don't, my family, my pastors, my friends,

  260. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, I love you guys so much, I love you so much that I just want you guys to be rid of all of that, just take it away, God, just take it away from them Lord.

  261. [SPEAKER_01]: I thank you Jesus for everything that you've done in my life, I thank you for everything that you've done in each one of these people's lives.

  262. [SPEAKER_01]: I thank you for what you're doing in the country, I thank you for what you're doing in our pastors' lives Lord.

  263. [SPEAKER_01]: I just ask that anything that somebody is dealing with right now that they bring it to the altar and they leave it here today.

  264. [SPEAKER_01]: that when they walk out of that door, they are a new person, they are a newbie.

  265. [SPEAKER_01]: Father God, I ask you more right now to just pour out your spirit on this place.

  266. [SPEAKER_01]: Just pour it out, pour it out, Father God, pour it out on us Lord.

  267. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you Jesus.

  268. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for listening to today's message.

  269. [SPEAKER_00]: We pray you were inspired, challenged, and marked by the word you heard.
