  1. [SPEAKER_01]: Joel chapter 2 will be on the screen if you want to follow that way.

    Joel 2 chapter mention

  2. [SPEAKER_01]: It says this in verse 28 through 32.

  3. [SPEAKER_01]: It says, after this, I will pour out my spirit on all humanity, come on somebody say amen to that.

  4. [SPEAKER_01]: Then your sons and your daughters will prophesy.

  5. [SPEAKER_01]: Your old men will have dreams, and your young men will see visions.

  6. [SPEAKER_01]: I will even pour out on my spirit on the male and female slaves in those days.

  7. [SPEAKER_01]: I will display wonders in the heavens and on earth.

  8. [SPEAKER_01]: Blood, fire and columns of smoke.

  9. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, now turn with me to axe.

  10. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, here.

  11. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, go ahead.

  12. [SPEAKER_01]: Go ahead to axe.

  13. [SPEAKER_01]: axe chapter two.

  14. [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

  15. [SPEAKER_01]: Turn with me to axe chapter two now.

  16. [SPEAKER_01]: This is in verse 14.

  17. [SPEAKER_01]: So we just read this prophecy.

  18. [SPEAKER_01]: Joel says this prophecy.

  19. [SPEAKER_01]: And now we're all the way to Acts chapter two.

  20. [SPEAKER_01]: Remember the power of the Holy Spirit had just fallen.

  21. [SPEAKER_01]: Now watch what happens.

  22. [SPEAKER_01]: Peter stood up with the 11 and raised his voice and proclaimed to them, men of Judah and all you residents of Jerusalem.

  23. [SPEAKER_01]: Let me explain this to you and pay attention to my words.

  24. [SPEAKER_01]: For these people are not drunk as you suppose since it's only nine in the morning.

  25. [SPEAKER_01]: On the contrary, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel, and look at it again.

  26. [SPEAKER_01]: Here it is, next slide.

  27. [SPEAKER_01]: It says, and it will be, in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my spirit on all humanity.

  28. [SPEAKER_01]: And then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.

  29. [SPEAKER_01]: I will even pour out my spirit on the male and female slaves in those days, and they will prophesy.

  30. [SPEAKER_01]: It was jumped down to verse 19.

  31. [SPEAKER_01]: I will display wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire in a cloud of smoke.

  32. [SPEAKER_01]: Then the sun will be turned to darkness in the moon to blood before the great and remarkable day of the Lord comes and then verse 21, then everyone.

  33. [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone.

  34. [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

  35. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah!

  36. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're taking notes this morning, I'm excited about this one.

  37. [SPEAKER_01]: I am fired up this morning, so if you are tired, I am sorry, you better wake up real quick.

  38. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, the title of today's message is the God of suddenlies.

  39. [SPEAKER_01]: The God of suddenlies.

  40. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on,

  41. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that was so weak, one person in the room knows that he's the God of suddenlies.

  42. [SPEAKER_01]: I said, how many of you know that he is the God of suddenlies?

  43. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  44. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  45. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's pray, Father, we thank you, Lord, for this day.

  46. [SPEAKER_01]: We thank you for your word.

  47. [SPEAKER_01]: We thank you for what you're doing in this house.

  48. [SPEAKER_01]: We're so grateful for your presence here today.

  49. [SPEAKER_01]: Just change us, God.

  50. [SPEAKER_01]: Change us for good, Marcus for good today.

  51. [SPEAKER_01]: Just wreck our lives and transform us in a supernatural way today, Father.

  52. [SPEAKER_01]: We thank you for the freedom that is already present in this room.

  53. [SPEAKER_01]: We thank you for what you're doing in people's lives in this room.

  54. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  55. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're so grateful and we thank you that it shall be a continuation Lord of what you are doing in this time and in this hour.

  56. [SPEAKER_01]: So we receive from you, we hear from you.

  57. [SPEAKER_01]: So open up our spiritual ears to hear right now.

  58. [SPEAKER_01]: Give us ears to hear what you would speak unto us this morning.

  59. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

  60. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  61. [SPEAKER_01]: So we've been talking about living a supernatural life.

  62. [SPEAKER_01]: We've been talking about the series today.

  63. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm wrapping up this series, okay?

  64. [SPEAKER_01]: And because I have no idea what Pastor Demandre is going to preach about and I have no idea what Pastor Sam's going to preach about.

  65. [SPEAKER_01]: And so we're just stopping this thing today and then we'll start something new after those weeks or over.

  66. [SPEAKER_01]: But we've talked all about the Holy Spirit, okay?

  67. [SPEAKER_01]: And we've talked about

  68. [SPEAKER_01]: Really, the supernatural dynamic power of the Holy Ghost, amen.

  69. [SPEAKER_01]: And there's a lot of things that we've addressed over the past couple weeks, and then last Sunday, we got to have baptism Sunday.

  70. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

  71. [SPEAKER_01]: And so glad.

  72. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's just so amazing.

  73. [SPEAKER_01]: The 12 people that got baptized last week is just a wonderful, wonderful thing.

  74. [SPEAKER_01]: So anyways, just as we conclude this series today, I want to begin this morning by encouraging you and telling you, and this is really outside of my message, but just something that the Lord gave me yesterday.

  75. [SPEAKER_01]: But just tell you that there is something that happens when you begin to shift your faith, and you really, really, really believe what God says.

  76. [SPEAKER_01]: There's just something that happens.

  77. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, something sparks on the inside of you.

  78. [SPEAKER_01]: It's like a boldness that comes inside of you and encouragement that you get when you really believe by faith that God is gonna do something on your behalf.

  79. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  80. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, it is in that moment, it's in that time that the Isaiah 53 verse 1 really can come into action, put it on the screen.

    Isaiah 53:1

  81. [SPEAKER_01]: Isaiah 53 1, it says, who has believed what we have heard and who has the arm of the Lord been revealed to?

  82. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah, and cannot tell you there is nothing like the arm of God coming into impossible situations.

  83. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, there's nothing like the authority of God, the authority of heaven, like a righteous judge with the, with the, with the devil hitting the, hitting the stand and calling things to order.

  84. [SPEAKER_01]: There's nothing like God just putting his hand out, hitting his arm out and calling things to pass on your behalf.

  85. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah, and he does that when we have enough faith to believe.

  86. [SPEAKER_01]: Amen.

  87. [SPEAKER_01]: So we don't know.

  88. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what the enemy told you, maybe on your way here this morning.

  89. [SPEAKER_01]: But I believe full of faith right now that God is literally interjecting His arm into Your situation today.

  90. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, do you believe that by faith today?

  91. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, He is interjecting His arm into Your situation.

  92. [SPEAKER_01]: He's interjecting His authority.

  93. [SPEAKER_01]: The victory power of Jesus Christ, come on.

  94. [SPEAKER_01]: The same power that raised Jesus up from the grave, come on, His intervening and stepping in to Your life in Your situation right now.

  95. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  96. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, how many were expecting the arm of God?

  97. [SPEAKER_01]: to come in and move on your behalf.

  98. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  99. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on church.

  100. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm reminded of one thing.

  101. [SPEAKER_01]: I know that because of God, because of the power of the Holy Spirit, we get to be full of power.

  102. [SPEAKER_01]: Hello, we get to be full of authority.

  103. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, we have the strength of Jesus Christ.

  104. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

  105. [SPEAKER_01]: We cannot be defeated, we cannot be destroyed, we cannot be taken out, we cannot be thrown to the wolves, come on.

  106. [SPEAKER_01]: But we have victory in Jesus' name.

  107. [SPEAKER_01]: Somebody say amen.

  108. [SPEAKER_01]: Because you listen to me, church there is a difference between facts and truth.

  109. [SPEAKER_01]: And I believe so many times we believe the facts other than believing the truth.

  110. [SPEAKER_01]: I know the facts are that that is what the doctor said about your body.

  111. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the facts.

  112. [SPEAKER_01]: But the truth is that you're healed.

  113. [SPEAKER_01]: I know the facts are that your bank account might not look that great.

  114. [SPEAKER_01]: And the numbers may be a little bit low.

  115. [SPEAKER_01]: But the truth is that God has called you blessed and prosperous.

  116. [SPEAKER_01]: So it doesn't matter the bad rapport or the distress or whatever you're going through, whatever mess you're dealing with, the fact that your family is messed up or your marriage is hanging on by a thread.

  117. [SPEAKER_01]: I can tell you this morning that the truth is greater than the facts.

  118. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, some of you really need to believe that for yourself.

  119. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to write that down.

  120. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to put it in your phone.

  121. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to put it on a note.

  122. [SPEAKER_01]: You need to remind yourself every day of that, that the truth of who God says I am and the truth of God's Word.

  123. [SPEAKER_01]: And what he has speaking over my situation is far better than any facts.

  124. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on.

  125. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  126. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Jesus.

  127. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited this morning, Lord help me because I'm about to just, I feel like I'm an engine that's just like, Come on somebody, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo, woo,

  128. [SPEAKER_01]: I was already secretly fired up this morning.

  129. [SPEAKER_01]: And secretly, I didn't let nobody know.

  130. [SPEAKER_01]: I was secretly fired up this morning, and then Holly comes into the leadership class today, and she just stands there, and she just starts testifying and preaching, and she's all fired up, and I'm like, my God, this is amazing, and it just was so powerful.

  131. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm telling you, God is doing a work in this house.

  132. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  133. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, you can either be a part of it, or you can step over on the side and watch what God's doing with everybody else and saying, ah, maybe he's not doing it for me.

  134. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I'll just stay stuck in my problems.

  135. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe God doesn't hear me.

  136. [SPEAKER_01]: God doesn't know what I'm going through.

  137. [SPEAKER_01]: No, you gotta have some faith church.

  138. [SPEAKER_01]: You gotta have some faith to believe.

  139. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on.

  140. [SPEAKER_01]: Because let me tell you, oftentimes you're not going to have somebody buy your side that's going to have faith for you.

  141. [SPEAKER_01]: Many times when we're going through stuff, we are by ourselves going through stuff.

  142. [SPEAKER_01]: And the Lord says, that's when I need you to increase your faith.

  143. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, not tap into the faith of the person next to you, or tap into the pastor on Sunday morning, but I need you to increase your faith to believe that God can do something, come on, that he can work and see nearly abundantly and beyond, all that you can ever hope for and imagine or think, come on somebody.

  144. [SPEAKER_01]: So he's asking church of the city today, do you have some faith?

  145. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you have some faith to believe?

  146. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  147. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know that God can rescue you?

  148. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know God can save you?

  149. [SPEAKER_01]: Do you know God can heal you and transform you?

  150. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  151. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the sound of victory.

  152. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  153. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Jesus.

  154. [SPEAKER_01]: Glory to God.

  155. [SPEAKER_01]: I got notes.

  156. [SPEAKER_01]: I promise I got notes.

  157. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  158. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Jesus.

  159. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Lord.

  160. [SPEAKER_01]: We gotta believe the report of the Lord.

  161. [SPEAKER_01]: Not the report of a doctor, or the report of a friend, or the report of whatever is out there, but we gotta believe the report of the Lord.

  162. [SPEAKER_01]: Because the truth can speak against the facts.

  163. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  164. [SPEAKER_01]: And you know, for me personally, I'm believing for a ramping up of the things of God, and a powerful move of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and in this church, I'm telling you.

  165. [SPEAKER_01]: I can see God doing the little things right now.

  166. [SPEAKER_01]: That's just adding up to something big.

  167. [SPEAKER_01]: Josh gets up here and he pulls out his word during worship and gives us that scripture that encourages us.

  168. [SPEAKER_01]: That's not something I've ever seen him do before.

  169. [SPEAKER_01]: So I see God putting all of the pieces to the puzzle and he's working all things out.

  170. [SPEAKER_01]: And I'm telling you, we're stepping into a move of God, church.

  171. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  172. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, we're going to see radical change in our homes, radical change in our families, radical change in this church, radical change in the nation.

  173. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

  174. [SPEAKER_01]: And so it reminds me exactly of what is happening in Joel chapter two.

  175. [SPEAKER_01]: We see this powerful prophetic declaration spoken by the prophet Joel.

  176. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's promising the Holy Spirit coming.

  177. [SPEAKER_01]: And what the Holy Spirit is going to do amongst the people when he comes upon the earth.

  178. [SPEAKER_01]: And so he prophesies this.

  179. [SPEAKER_01]: He speaks this into the atmosphere.

  180. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we go into Acts chapter two.

  181. [SPEAKER_01]: And if you remember, Jesus had told them, go to Jerusalem and wait for my Holy Spirit to come, right?

  182. [SPEAKER_01]: And so they're in Jerusalem, they're waiting.

  183. [SPEAKER_01]: They're gathering in the upper room and boom, the power of the Holy Ghost shows up and begins to move and begins to do all kinds of things and we see them all get baptized in the Holy Spirit.

  184. [SPEAKER_01]: They all get filled with the Spirit of God.

  185. [SPEAKER_01]: And they're so lost and crazy and drunk in the Holy Ghost that they look like they're drunk on something else, right?

  186. [SPEAKER_01]: And Peter stands up and he really, what he has to do is he has to stand up and get everybody's attention within the town.

  187. [SPEAKER_01]: Because all these people started talking, they said, look at those people, they're drunk with wine.

  188. [SPEAKER_01]: It's only nine o'clock in the morning.

  189. [SPEAKER_01]: What are they doing?

  190. [SPEAKER_01]: They're getting wasted at nine o'clock in the morning.

  191. [SPEAKER_01]: And Peter stands up and he says, hold on, everybody listen to me for just a moment.

  192. [SPEAKER_01]: And he gets everybody's attention and he says these words, he says, let me explain what's going on.

  193. [SPEAKER_01]: Right?

  194. [SPEAKER_01]: And let me explain what you are seeing.

  195. [SPEAKER_01]: And Peter before all those gathered there, he tells him that these people are not drunk with wine as you suppose.

  196. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

  197. [SPEAKER_01]: But he says this, he says, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel.

  198. [SPEAKER_01]: Hundreds of years ago, this is what we are experiencing the right here and right now.

  199. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  200. [SPEAKER_01]: And so do you remember that the last sermon that Jesus preached?

  201. [SPEAKER_01]: He said, the Holy Spirit is coming.

  202. [SPEAKER_01]: He tells, he tells 300 some odd of them.

  203. [SPEAKER_01]: That was gathered around.

  204. [SPEAKER_01]: He says, go up into Jerusalem and wait for the Holy Spirit to come.

  205. [SPEAKER_01]: Wait, don't move.

  206. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't do this.

  207. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't do that.

  208. [SPEAKER_01]: Just wait for the Holy Spirit to come.

  209. [SPEAKER_01]: And he says, when the Holy Spirit comes, you will be filled with power from on high.

  210. [SPEAKER_01]: This is not some earthly power.

  211. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, Jesus in His last ever sermon could have preached.

  212. [SPEAKER_01]: Uh, something dynamic.

  213. [SPEAKER_01]: He could have preached something deep.

  214. [SPEAKER_01]: He could have gotten to some deep theological discussion or deep theological teaching and preaching.

  215. [SPEAKER_01]: And Jesus, Jesus stands there.

  216. [SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha.

  217. [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus stands there.

  218. [SPEAKER_01]: He says, I'm not gonna tell them anything deep.

  219. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna tell them anything theological, but what I am gonna do is I'm gonna tell them about the Holy Ghost that's coming.

  220. [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus stepped outside of his authority and in all of his humanity and he said, it's no longer about me, but there is one that is coming, that is greater.

  221. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  222. [SPEAKER_01]: And he says, you will be filled with power from on high.

  223. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, come on, who loves the power?

  224. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I can tell you this church of the city would not be standing here today if it wasn't for the power of the Holy Spirit.

  225. [SPEAKER_01]: You would not be standing here today.

  226. [SPEAKER_01]: Some of you, if it wasn't for the power of the Holy Ghost in your life.

  227. [SPEAKER_01]: It's interesting to me.

  228. [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't 300 something people.

  229. [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, it was 500 something people.

  230. [SPEAKER_01]: 500 something people.

  231. [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus stood in front of me and he said, go to Jerusalem and wait for the Holy Spirit.

  232. [SPEAKER_01]: 500 something people, but how many of them actually got it?

  233. [SPEAKER_00]: 120.

  234. [SPEAKER_01]: So what happened to the 380, oh man, they must have been snoozing on the Holy Ghost.

  235. [SPEAKER_01]: They must have forgotten what Jesus spoke.

  236. [SPEAKER_01]: They must have neglected the prophetic word that was spoken by the prophet.

  237. [SPEAKER_01]: You see church not everyone, that goes to tell me a hundred and twenty went and a hundred twenty got filled but three hundred and eighty of them skipped out.

  238. [SPEAKER_01]: That goes to tell me that not everyone is open or appreciative of the Holy Spirit.

  239. [SPEAKER_01]: Not everybody is interested in the power of the Holy Spirit.

  240. [SPEAKER_01]: And in these days church cannot tell you that we need more than just Bible knowledge.

  241. [SPEAKER_01]: We need more than just a prayer life.

  242. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, knowing the word and having some prayer is wonderful.

  243. [SPEAKER_01]: We need more than just the ability to have to come in here on a Sunday morning and lift our hands and worship.

  244. [SPEAKER_01]: We need more than that.

  245. [SPEAKER_01]: We need the power that was on Jesus.

  246. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, in our lives and activate it, in our daily lives.

  247. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  248. [SPEAKER_01]: Now I want to tell you this morning that God is wanting by the power of his Holy Spirit to do a suddenly in your life.

  249. [SPEAKER_00]: I forgot to start my timer.

  250. [SPEAKER_01]: Now you get a longer message.

  251. [SPEAKER_01]: I just looked down and noticed that.

  252. [SPEAKER_01]: Glory to God.

  253. [SPEAKER_01]: All right.

  254. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a old song out of the book of Joel.

  255. [SPEAKER_01]: This is that.

  256. [SPEAKER_01]: Anybody that spoke about the prophet, Joel?

  257. [SPEAKER_01]: Anybody?

  258. [SPEAKER_01]: This is that, yeah.

  259. [SPEAKER_01]: Born on the day of panic caused.

  260. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, seeing some of y'all, some of y'all are just too young for that.

  261. [SPEAKER_01]: This old man has been around long time.

  262. [SPEAKER_01]: I believe God wants to do a suddenly in your life this morning.

  263. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about a sudden healing.

  264. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm talking about a sudden breakthrough, a sudden deliverance, a sudden freedom.

  265. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, something that just almost catches you off guard, but he just does a suddenly.

  266. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  267. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, a suddenly in the areas of our lives that we feel are kind of hopeless.

  268. [SPEAKER_01]: a suddenly in this church this morning, come on somebody, I just believe that I believe that God wants to do something suddenly because I know that He is the God of suddenly.

  269. [SPEAKER_01]: He is the God of suddenly.

  270. [SPEAKER_01]: And suddenly as they were sitting, the Bible says, in the upper room in Acts chapter 2, a sound like a violent rushing wind, sweep through that place, and the power of the Holy

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  271. [SPEAKER_01]: And ignited them with Holy Ghost fire and the Bible says that their heads were on fire.

  272. [SPEAKER_01]: My Lord.

  273. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, can you imagine sitting there?

  274. [SPEAKER_01]: As you're seeing all these other people's heads catch on fire and all of a sudden you're like, oh, no.

  275. [SPEAKER_01]: And then, boom, and then, hashtag, and I'm like, I just like, I didn't, I wasn't expecting that, but I know it's good, baby.

  276. [SPEAKER_01]: And you can only imagine what was taking place in there.

  277. [SPEAKER_01]: Come

  278. [SPEAKER_01]: because God wanted to do a suddenly.

  279. [SPEAKER_01]: God spoke it in Joel chapter two, and hundreds of years later, they're waiting for it to happen and suddenly boom out on nowhere.

  280. [SPEAKER_01]: It begins to take place.

  281. [SPEAKER_01]: So if you're taking notes this morning, I want you to write this stuff down.

  282. [SPEAKER_01]: But there's two facts about the suddenlies of God that I want to teach you today.

  283. [SPEAKER_01]: Two facts about the suddenlies of God.

  284. [SPEAKER_01]: The first one is this, is that suddenly is happen in prepared places.

  285. [SPEAKER_01]: Suddenly is don't happen in unprepared.

  286. [SPEAKER_01]: Places unprepared.

  287. [SPEAKER_01]: Atmosphere's unprepared settings, unprepared rooms, unprepared hearts.

  288. [SPEAKER_01]: unprepared people.

  289. [SPEAKER_01]: But suddenly has happened in places where it's prepared and prepared places.

  290. [SPEAKER_01]: Listen, church, we often think when God does something suddenly that it was an unexpected thing, unexpected move of God.

  291. [SPEAKER_01]: No, if you're believing in continuing for a move of God, it's going to happen.

  292. [SPEAKER_01]: Unexpected, no, it's not unexpected.

  293. [SPEAKER_01]: It was actually two be expected.

  294. [SPEAKER_01]: We were praying for it.

  295. [SPEAKER_01]: We were believing for it.

  296. [SPEAKER_01]: We were hungry enough for it.

  297. [SPEAKER_01]: We were standing for it and all of a sudden, God did it.

  298. [SPEAKER_01]: And I tell you this morning that when God does something suddenly, it's because there has been preparation and advance, preparation for a move of his spirit, preparation for God's showing up.

  299. [SPEAKER_01]: So listen, if you were just,

  300. [SPEAKER_01]: If you would just show up to church hungry enough for a move of God, if you would show up to church hungry enough for an outpouring of the Spirit of God, I'll tell you you won't be shocked when all of a sudden God begins to move.

  301. [SPEAKER_01]: You won't be shocked when all of a sudden the power of God falls in this place in the

  302. [SPEAKER_01]: But if you come walking through these doors week after week, whoa is me, whoa is all my problems.

  303. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe God will do something for me.

  304. [SPEAKER_01]: Can I tell you?

  305. [SPEAKER_01]: You all never have a suddenly.

  306. [SPEAKER_01]: Because you're not preparing for him to move.

  307. [SPEAKER_01]: You're not preparing for him to do something on your behalf.

  308. [SPEAKER_01]: Some of us sit back with our arms cross waiting for God to move.

  309. [SPEAKER_01]: He said, I'm not waiting to move.

  310. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm ready to move.

  311. [SPEAKER_01]: You're not ready for me.

  312. [SPEAKER_01]: because you're lost in your issues, and you're lost in the current circumstance, and you're lost at the way things look before you're physical eyes, you're lost in what you are feeling and you're emotions, and what you're thinking in your head that you have forgotten that God wants to show up and do something on your behalf.

  313. [SPEAKER_01]: So when you come, you come expecting.

  314. [SPEAKER_01]: You come hungry for the things of God.

  315. [SPEAKER_01]: Why is that?

  316. [SPEAKER_01]: Because he's looking for your hunger.

  317. [SPEAKER_01]: He's looking for expectancy.

  318. [SPEAKER_01]: He's looking for you, seeking him, and surrendering all to him.

  319. [SPEAKER_01]: And when that happens, just like in the upper room, Acts chapter two suddenly, a sound like a mighty rushing wind.

  320. [SPEAKER_00]: Suddenly, come on, somebody say, suddenly.

  321. [SPEAKER_01]: Acts 2 was not an unexpected display of the power of the Holy Spirit.

  322. [SPEAKER_01]: I think many of us probably read that scripture when we have viewed it that way.

  323. [SPEAKER_01]: Now all of a sudden, the power of the Holy Spirit decided to show up.

  324. [SPEAKER_01]: It was unexpected.

  325. [SPEAKER_01]: No, it wasn't.

  326. [SPEAKER_01]: They had been there waiting for it.

  327. [SPEAKER_01]: They had been there preparing.

  328. [SPEAKER_01]: Preparing.

  329. [SPEAKER_01]: It may not be today, but it's common, baby, you know, and they were preparing, and they were preparing, and they were preparing to all of a sudden, God showed up the power of the Holy Ghost.

  330. [SPEAKER_01]: They were preparing, which means that they were hungry.

  331. [SPEAKER_01]: They were waiting for the Holy Ghost to show up.

  332. [SPEAKER_01]: So when the Holy Spirit finally did show up, they didn't freak out when fire was upon their heads.

  333. [SPEAKER_01]: They didn't run out of the room, say, oh my god, I don't know what's going on.

  334. [SPEAKER_01]: They didn't question each other, saying what the heck is this?

  335. [SPEAKER_01]: They didn't scratch their heads saying, is this the Holy Spirit?

  336. [SPEAKER_01]: All this crazy stuff begins to happen, but because they were prepared, come on, they were hungry enough when he showed up, they knew that it was the Holy Spirit.

  337. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, when he shows up in your life, and when he shows up in this room, do you ask, is that the Holy Spirit?

  338. [SPEAKER_01]: No, you better know.

  339. [SPEAKER_01]: You better know that we've been praying.

  340. [SPEAKER_01]: You better know that we're hungry.

  341. [SPEAKER_01]: You better know that we're expecting for a move of God.

  342. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  343. [SPEAKER_01]: It may be not the whole room as participating in that, and that's okay.

  344. [SPEAKER_01]: You'll catch up.

  345. [SPEAKER_01]: But we're believing, we're contending for it.

  346. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  347. [SPEAKER_01]: We're believing for it.

  348. [SPEAKER_01]: And I believe this morning that God is looking down upon this house and he wants to do us suddenly in our lives.

  349. [SPEAKER_01]: He's saying I'm gonna do us suddenly, but I need you to be hungry for it.

  350. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna do us suddenly, but I need you to be expectant for it.

  351. [SPEAKER_01]: And he wants to do it.

  352. [SPEAKER_01]: Not God, are you going to today?

  353. [SPEAKER_01]: No, God, I know you will.

  354. [SPEAKER_01]: because you are a man of your word.

  355. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  356. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you hungry and expecting enough for your healing this morning?

  357. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you hungry and expecting enough for your breakthrough today?

  358. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you hungry and expecting enough that there is a miracle in your finances?

  359. [SPEAKER_01]: Are you hungry and expecting enough that God performs a miracle in your marriage today?

  360. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, he is the God of suddenly.

  361. [SPEAKER_01]: Turn to someone and say he is the God of suddenly.

  362. [SPEAKER_01]: So suddenly it's happened in prepared places, prepared places, prepared places.

  363. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want God to move in your family, prepare for it.

  364. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want God to move in your finances, prepare for it.

  365. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want God to do something in your marriage, prepare for it, come on, we don't have time to sit back and just wait and hope and dream that something's going to happen and have a wishful thinking, no, we got to have faith.

  366. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, church, we got to have faith and faith stirs you up.

  367. [SPEAKER_01]: Faith gets you hungry and expectant for something.

  368. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  369. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah, dealing with the current situation myself, with the job situation, and God a job, and praise the Lord, it's great, good, best salary I've ever had, all these things, but it's a mess, and I said, Lord, what are you doing?

  370. [SPEAKER_01]: What are you doing?

  371. [SPEAKER_01]: And then I've applied and had a few other interviews in the other night, Eric and Kelsey were over at the house.

  372. [SPEAKER_01]: And I was taking them outside and they were getting ready to go.

  373. [SPEAKER_01]: And Eric said, Pastor, you got to see yourself already in your new office.

  374. [SPEAKER_01]: He said, go buy you a new outfit that you're going

  375. [SPEAKER_01]: And I said, I thought, that's it.

  376. [SPEAKER_01]: That's exactly right, like, all we got to do is just have some faith to believe in and see ourselves on the other side of the situation that we're in and see ourselves on the other side of the breakthrough and the deliverance and the freedom and all those things.

  377. [SPEAKER_01]: And know that God is doing something if we're just hungry and expecting enough.

  378. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on now.

  379. [SPEAKER_01]: Hallelujah.

  380. [SPEAKER_01]: So it happens in prepared places.

  381. [SPEAKER_01]: If you want God to move on your behalf, if you want God to help with that situation, prepare for it.

  382. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't just say, God, if you're gonna do it, please come through.

  383. [SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes I think when we praise stuff like that, God just wish that we didn't even say anything at all.

  384. [SPEAKER_01]: He says, where's your face?

  385. [SPEAKER_01]: Not if I can, or if I want to, he says I want to.

  386. [SPEAKER_01]: I want to do it, but I need your face.

  387. [SPEAKER_01]: So suddenly, it's happened in prepared places.

  388. [SPEAKER_01]: And number two is this.

  389. [SPEAKER_01]: Is that suddenlies are not unexpected?

  390. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, I was thinking about this, because I've never thought about this before, maybe you have.

  391. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you're a lot more theological than me.

  392. [SPEAKER_01]: But I was thinking about this yesterday morning, and I thought, you know, we know that there was 120 in the room.

  393. [SPEAKER_01]: We know that, because the Bible gives us that number.

  394. [SPEAKER_01]: We know that of the 120, the disciples, the current disciples were present, OK?

  395. [SPEAKER_01]: Now, there's a lot more than just the disciples than that are in that room, right?

  396. [SPEAKER_01]: So I actually thought to myself, for the very first time ever, because all I've ever had just read it, 120 were gathered in that room.

  397. [SPEAKER_01]: Proprays God, 120 people.

  398. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, beyond the ones that we could assume, like the disciples, they assume the ones that, you know, Jesus knew and all that were there, who else was there?

  399. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I feel like when I asked myself that question, I feel like actually there is an answer that needs to be known of that.

  400. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought to myself, well,

  401. [SPEAKER_01]: If I'm thinking this right now, there must be something that is known in the word, because God just doesn't leave us hanging, right?

  402. [SPEAKER_01]: God don't leave us hanging.

  403. [SPEAKER_01]: So I was looking up, who was a part of the 120?

  404. [SPEAKER_01]: And we really don't know who all was a part of the 120.

  405. [SPEAKER_01]: But I was completely off guard by a scripture

  406. [SPEAKER_01]: I've read it a million times, but I had never fully comprehended it until then.

  407. [SPEAKER_01]: It was an Acts chapter 1 verse 14.

    Acts 1:14

  408. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not on the screen.

  409. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll start reading verse 13.

  410. [SPEAKER_01]: Acts chapter 1 verse 13.

    Acts 1:13

  411. [SPEAKER_01]: It says, when they had arrived, to Jerusalem, right?

  412. [SPEAKER_01]: They went to the room upstairs, to the upper room.

  413. [SPEAKER_01]: This is before the Holy Spirit fell, right?

  414. [SPEAKER_01]: Where they were staying, Peter, John, James, Andrew, Philip, Thomas, worth all of you, Matthew, James, Son of Alphayah, Simon, the Zele, and Judas, the Son of James.

  415. [SPEAKER_01]: All of these were continually, the Bible says, United and Prayer, along with the women, including Mary, the mother of Jesus and his brothers.

  416. [SPEAKER_01]: very interesting to me.

  417. [SPEAKER_01]: That the Bible would tell us that Mary, the one that that supernaturally birthed Jesus, the virgin Mary would be present in the room on the day of Pinnocos when the Holy Spirit showed up.

  418. [SPEAKER_01]: And so what that did for me is that stumped any other religious aspect, an idea

  419. [SPEAKER_01]: Mary was one of the first pinocostals.

  420. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  421. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I thought, I thought the next time somebody comes up to me and says, Mary is Catholic.

  422. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm gonna read them X chapter one verse 14 that says, Mary was a spirit-filled, holy ghost, pinocostal believer, come on, somebody.

  423. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, she don't belong on a golden necklace.

  424. [SPEAKER_01]: She don't belong on a hanging on any kind of, no, no, no, no.

  425. [SPEAKER_01]: She was a spirit-filled believer that day.

  426. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, she got wrecked by the power of the Holy Ghost.

  427. [SPEAKER_01]: The mother of Jesus.

  428. [SPEAKER_01]: Woo!

  429. [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, that might not get you excited, but that just got me excited, because I thought to myself, man, some people in this world have got it.

  430. [SPEAKER_01]: All wrong.

  431. [SPEAKER_01]: They call her Catholic when she's actually Pentecostal.

  432. [SPEAKER_01]: That just made me laugh.

  433. [SPEAKER_01]: I just thought, wow, thank you, Lord.

  434. [SPEAKER_01]: That's really good.

  435. [SPEAKER_01]: That's really good.

  436. [SPEAKER_01]: But it says all these other people, it says the women, so we don't know how many who they were.

  437. [SPEAKER_01]: and says his brothers, right?

  438. [SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, there's a variation of people here.

  439. [SPEAKER_01]: But when I read that it said that the women were there along with Mary, the mother of Jesus, I thought to myself, okay, the women, who are the women?

  440. [SPEAKER_01]: And then, I don't know, I could be wrong by this.

  441. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll ask Jesus when we get to heaven.

  442. [SPEAKER_01]: I thought to myself, Eric, I said, what if one of the ladies that were there in the upper room was one of the ones that touched the him of his garment?

  443. [SPEAKER_01]: The Bible says that when she touched the Him of His garment, what happened?

  444. [SPEAKER_01]: The power of God left Him and hit her.

  445. [SPEAKER_01]: So they're gathered in the upper room and not one person questions that day, is this the Holy Spirit?

  446. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I believe there were people just like that lady that touched the hill of his garment that says, hold on a way to second.

  447. [SPEAKER_01]: I recognize this power that's happening in the room right now.

  448. [SPEAKER_01]: I've experienced this before.

  449. [SPEAKER_01]: I remember when I was so sick, I reached out to the him of Jesus and his power hit me.

  450. [SPEAKER_01]: And that same power is here present in this room today.

  451. [SPEAKER_01]: Glory to God.

  452. [SPEAKER_01]: I believe everybody that had a supernatural encounter when Jesus was present in that 120.

  453. [SPEAKER_01]: So that nobody could say this wasn't the Holy Ghost, but they knew that it was the power of Jesus.

  454. [SPEAKER_01]: The blind man that got his eyes opened up was probably in the upper room.

  455. [SPEAKER_01]: And he was there and he said, I know this is the same power that healed me.

  456. [SPEAKER_01]: It's present in this room today.

  457. [SPEAKER_01]: Glory to God.

  458. [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus is the same yesterday.

  459. [SPEAKER_01]: Today and forever, and what he did then, my God, he can do it now, he can do it now, hallelujah.

  460. [SPEAKER_01]: And in Acts chapter two, Mary and the disciples, and all these people that they weren't unaware of Jesus,

  461. [SPEAKER_01]: They were unaware of him.

  462. [SPEAKER_01]: They must have been following him.

  463. [SPEAKER_01]: They must have had some sort of relationship with him.

  464. [SPEAKER_01]: Because why would they listen to him when he said, go up to the upper room.

  465. [SPEAKER_01]: If they didn't care about what Jesus said, they would have said, forget it.

  466. [SPEAKER_01]: And I believe the 380 didn't care what Jesus said, and they said, forget it.

  467. [SPEAKER_01]: But the 120 that had already experienced the touch of Jesus.

  468. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm telling you, where they're present in that room.

  469. [SPEAKER_01]: And he says, those are the ones that were hungry enough for my spirit.

  470. [SPEAKER_01]: The 380 of them, they weren't hungry.

  471. [SPEAKER_01]: They weren't expected.

  472. [SPEAKER_01]: They got more excited about other things.

  473. [SPEAKER_01]: They left church early.

  474. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, they didn't show up to church because things weren't going right in their house.

  475. [SPEAKER_01]: They showed up and they waited there for the power of the Holy Spirit.

  476. [SPEAKER_01]: Let me tell you, they had no excuses to experience God that day.

  477. [SPEAKER_01]: And here we are in our nice homes and with our nice cars, with our careers and doing this and doing that.

  478. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're okay if we skip church and we're okay if we don't experience a move of God.

  479. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're okay if God doesn't show up.

  480. [SPEAKER_01]: We're okay if we're feeling some kind of way and we don't want to lift our hands during worship.

  481. [SPEAKER_01]: We're okay if we don't want to join in on pre-service prayer but we'll just sit back and we'll just watch everybody else.

  482. [SPEAKER_01]: We're okay with all of these things and God is saying, I need the people just like the 120 in the upper room that we're waiting on the power of my spirit and I'm looking for people today who are hungry

  483. [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, Lord.

  484. [SPEAKER_01]: The first church.

  485. [SPEAKER_01]: This was the first church.

  486. [SPEAKER_01]: This was the first church service.

  487. [SPEAKER_01]: The first church experience.

  488. [SPEAKER_01]: And it was a spirit filled church.

  489. [SPEAKER_01]: It was a holy ghost church.

  490. [SPEAKER_01]: It was a pin of cost to church.

  491. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  492. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was a church that said, yes, Jesus is not present here in the physical with us anymore, but he left his Holy Spirit for us.

  493. [SPEAKER_01]: And if that's what we got, that's what we got, but we're gonna take it, baby.

  494. [SPEAKER_01]: And we're gonna experience all that he has for us.

  495. [SPEAKER_01]: So they weren't caught up, let me tell you, in religion.

  496. [SPEAKER_01]: They were caught up in denominations and denominational rules and denominational boundaries.

  497. [SPEAKER_01]: None of that even existed yet.

  498. [SPEAKER_01]: The God didn't create denominations.

  499. [SPEAKER_01]: He created the church.

  500. [SPEAKER_01]: Man creates denominations.

  501. [SPEAKER_01]: Man creates religion and religious rules and all this kind of stuff.

  502. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I can only expect that God is just absolutely disgusted sometimes in heaven when he sees all of us that are in disunity from one another because we have our own denominations, our own beliefs, we believe certain parts of the Bible and others that we don't, you know, we buy into all this stuff that's out there today and Jesus said, listen to me.

  503. [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't sew up for a divided church when I showed up in the upper room they had been in unity They had been preparing for what was coming and then I sent my spirit

  504. [SPEAKER_01]: So we don't have time in this house to be in disunity.

  505. [SPEAKER_01]: We don't have time in this house to be bitter with one another and have offenses and be angry and be upset.

  506. [SPEAKER_01]: And when somebody makes a mistake, who cares?

  507. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, let's show them grace and forgiveness like Jesus did.

  508. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody.

  509. [SPEAKER_01]: We just got it.

  510. [SPEAKER_01]: We just got to start acting like the church of Jesus, like what was happening in Acts chapter 2 so that the power of the Holy Spirit can really begin to move in this place.

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  511. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on.

  512. [SPEAKER_01]: You believe me today.

  513. [SPEAKER_01]: None of these people were denominationized and thrown religion on them.

  514. [SPEAKER_01]: But every single one of them was a spirit filled, tongue-talking believer, come on somebody.

  515. [SPEAKER_01]: They were full of the spirit of God.

  516. [SPEAKER_01]: Not only that, but they had the fire of God literally on their lives.

  517. [SPEAKER_01]: So much so that they were all there in the upper room that day, in Acts chapter two,

  518. [SPEAKER_01]: The power of God comes, the Holy Spirit falls upon them.

  519. [SPEAKER_01]: There's fire, there's tongues like flames of fire upon their heads.

  520. [SPEAKER_01]: They begin to be baptized in the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues and all of this.

  521. [SPEAKER_01]: And somebody says, somebody's got to say, we just can't keep this in this church right now or in this upper room.

  522. [SPEAKER_01]: We need to go out on the streets.

  523. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was somebody's idea.

  524. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, somebody had the idea of, we can't just stay here right now.

  525. [SPEAKER_01]: We can't just experience this for ourselves.

  526. [SPEAKER_01]: So they get baptized in the Holy Ghost and there's fire God comes upon their lives and they say, I'm not staying here in this room, but I got to go out and I got to start laying my hands under the people and shouting and declaring and prophesying and speaking over people, come on.

  527. [SPEAKER_01]: And so the 120 of them gather all together and they exit the upper room and they hit the streets.

  528. [SPEAKER_01]: And that is when Peter has to say, everybody, let me just explain something to you.

  529. [SPEAKER_01]: because they started talking.

  530. [SPEAKER_01]: 120 people come out of this sanctuary, this space, whatever it was, and they start hitting the streets, and they start profiting and speaking in tongues, and all this stuff is happening, you can imagine that the town is like, what the heck?

  531. [SPEAKER_01]: Who are these people?

  532. [SPEAKER_01]: What is this craziness that's going on?

  533. [SPEAKER_01]: And Peter stands up and he says, silence everybody right now.

  534. [SPEAKER_01]: What we are experiencing is what Joel, the prophet, said hundreds of years ago, what come to pass?

  535. [SPEAKER_01]: And he gives the exact prophetic declaration that Joel had spoken out and he speaks it to the crowd and to the town of people and what happens from there?

  536. [SPEAKER_01]: What happens from there?

  537. [SPEAKER_01]: the move of God continues unlike ever before.

  538. [SPEAKER_01]: We start seeing all these people begin to experience the power of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

  539. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, and the Bible says, an Acts chapter two at the very last scripture that's in the Acts chapter two and verse 47 and says, and every day, the Lord added to them, those that were being saved.

  540. [SPEAKER_01]: Every single day, people were getting healed, set free, delivered, set on fire for God because they chose to be obedient to the Lord.

  541. [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't something that was unexpected.

  542. [SPEAKER_01]: But God moved.

  543. [SPEAKER_01]: God began to pour out His Spirit.

  544. [SPEAKER_01]: And the Spirit of God would say to us today,

  545. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to unexpectedly perform a miracle in your life.

  546. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to unexpectedly do this or do that because this is that spoken by the prophet Joel.

  547. [SPEAKER_01]: This right here that God is doing in this time and in this atmosphere is that that was spoken by Joel.

  548. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody say this is that.

  549. [SPEAKER_01]: This move of the Holy Spirit was that, that was spoken.

  550. [SPEAKER_01]: This healing that you're experiencing right now is that, that was spoken.

  551. [SPEAKER_01]: Come on, somebody, you are stepping into the that, that this was spoken about.
