“Prophecy Update” - Pastor Scotty Brown

Well if you have a Bible please turn to Luke chapter 21. We're gonna do just a

Luke 21 · chapter mention

little something different this morning. I thought I'd do a little bit of a

prophecy update and it's important to know what is going on in our world

especially through the lens of God's Word and Jesus gives us some pretty

awesome insight in Luke chapter 21. He tells us what's gonna happen at the end

of the age and I don't know about you but I'm pretty excited about that and

he's got a whole lot more to offer than anything I've ever tasted in this life

so it's gonna be it's gonna be really good and I'm gonna use Luke kind of as

my security blanket this morning as we go as we go through this but before we

start let's let's pray. Father we we thank you for your Word Lord we thank

you that that you tell us what's gonna happen before it happens and and Lord

then when it happens it increases our faith that you are God and there is no

other there's no one beside you Lord no one like you and you truly have no

rivals and so Lord Jesus we ask that you would speak to our hearts on this day

Lord that we would maybe put some of these scriptures to memory and and Lord

that we would remember your Word and that when we see the things coming and

the things happening in our world Lord that that we would be very aware and

very discerning of the times and that we wouldn't be rebuked by you and so Lord

we just offer this time up to you now pray that you'd speak to our hearts Lord

and you by your Spirit can confirm truth to us and so give us ears to hear in

Jesus name amen. So I'm so glad we have this book. If this if we didn't have this

book what would be the point to anything really? Isaiah 46 verses 9 and 10 says

Isaiah 46:9

this to us listen to this "remember the former things of old for I am God and

there is no other I am God and there is none like me listen declaring the end

from the beginning and from ancient times thanks things that are not yet

done saying my counsel shall stand and I will do all my pleasure" that's what God

that's who God is he knows the end from the beginning and everything in between

he knows the end of your life in the beginning of your life and everything in

between he sees it all at the same time go chew on that one for a while right

how do you I can't even get my mind around the gravity the weight of this

God that we that we serve and that you and I are subject to just reminder

you're subject to God right you're gonna stand before him naked with no excuses

you and I are and and so prepare yourself and he will give you a garment

he will clothe you with his righteousness and that way you don't

have to be embarrassed when you stand before him because the Bible says that

if you do stand before him without his righteousness you are naked but naked

from the inside out he sees it all right and so occasionally I want to I want to

look through these these scriptures and also kind of bring to light some of this

stuff we see going on and and look at the things that were prophesied of old

old and New Testament and compare that with what's happening today I can't

remember which Bible scholar it was but he said he would have his Bible in one

hand and the newspaper in the other hand every morning and now it's all

electronic mostly though I just want I just want to encourage you please have a

hard copy right this thing can't be manipulated other than it can get beat

up but I had an old boy tell me one time I had my grandma's Bible and I mean it

was old and it was ragged and I read a quote in fact I wrote it in the inside

of that old Bible it says a Bible that is falling apart usually belongs to

somebody who isn't and I thought that's a good one and so like I said I'm going

to use Luke 21 simply because the disciples came to Jesus and asked him

probably the same question that a lot of us have right there and then in verse

seven they said they said teacher but when will these things be and what sign

will there be when these things are about to take place now we are called to

walk by faith right so Jesus doesn't give absolute date and time that things

are gonna happen but he does tell us what's gonna happen and the chapter

starts with an interesting story in there in chapter 21 about a widow and

the Bible says and I well I'm gonna read it okay you never go wrong reading the

root and he looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury

and he saw also a certain poor widow putting in two mites and so he said

truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all for all these

out of the abundance out of their abundance have put in offer offerings

for God but she out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had years

ago I heard her Bill Gates had given a charitable charitable donation of a

million dollars and people were talking about it and an old guy in my our church

there in Twin Falls he said somebody asked him said hey do you hear Bill

Gates gave a million dollars to a certain charity could be largest donation ever

given and he said really I thought the middle widows mites was right because it

says notice she gave more right she gave more because they gave out of their

abundance and that that kind of sets the stage what's important to you in this

life when you when you really analyze your own heart and your own pursuits in

this life what's important to you and and and I think it's important to be

able to answer those questions you know pretty seriously and you know I don't

know I don't know what your pursuits are but I know that Jesus will not take

backseat to anything or anybody okay he his his place in our lives is the

preeminence in other words it is the first place in our lives everything else

should come after that and and he's called us to that by you know saying you

know if you're gonna follow me you gotta lay down her life verse 5 says then

summoned then some spoke of the temple how it was adorned with beautiful stones

and donations and he said these things which you see the days will come in

which not one stone shall be left upon another that shall not be thrown down so

right here he gives the first prophecy he says this temple that you put all

your stock in right you're you're putting your I don't know maybe your

hope or your pleasure in this building it's gonna come down right kind of like

this life that you and I try to build it's gonna come down just saying

I got started in the ministry doing funerals and I've never seen a u-haul

yet right and I've heard people I've heard people pompously say well if I

can't take you with me I ain't going they're dead no you're going right and

you ain't taking nothing with you except for maybe the either good or bad seed

that you sowed in this life and so I think that we should prepare for that we

know that this happened this happened in 70 AD when Titus the Romans sacked

Jerusalem and to this day around the the wall there you see the stones are still

piled up Jesus will challenge you and I what we put our trust in in verse 7 it

says so they asked him saying teacher but when will these things be and what

sign will there be when these things are about to take place and he said take

heed that you do not be deceived for many will come in my name saying I am he

and the time has drawn near therefore do not go after them but when you hear of

wars and commotions do not be terrified for these things must come to pass first

but the end will not come immediately and that's been going on for eons right

country against country wars and rumors of wars it's been going on for a lot

long time the first thing but he says here is interestingly enough is do not

be deceived why did he say that because he don't want you to be deceived I know

that's elementary that's the truth and there is in this world that we live in

the the greatest opportunity for people to be deceived than ever before in the

history of mankind and there are several reasons for that one reason is we live

in a tech technological age and the ability of tech techno lot technology to

powerfully suggest something that is unhealthy spiritually is endless

everything from buying something to contacting the dead right and that's

where technology is taking us it's taking us into a world that is is a

spiritual black hole and it will suck you in that's why you need to have a

hard copy and of course if you have a hard copy please use it there have been

several articles out lately about via AI they say that you can contact the

dead dead relatives and that you can talk to Jesus it is laughable Michelle

it is laughable but the sad thing about it is so many people are starting to put

do you realize what an open door this is you are open the door for Satan you're

selecting you open your chest open the little door of your heart said sit and

jump in there would you have a heyday it's exactly what you're doing you're

dancing with demons right you are in a very very dangerous place and that's the

scariest thing about how we live today this this AI stuff is it's it's it's

gonna go off the rails right the Antichrist will use this in a big way I

don't need to talk to Jesus via AI I've got his word right here right I do not

need to try to contact him and the Bible says a lot about this you guys yes I

realized one of the one of the things in my life that when I've lost loved ones

is man I just want to say one more time I love you or I just want to have that

last conversation that's why necromancy is such a big thing right people are

fascinated with it why do you think Twilight was such a hit right it's

that's necromancy and it's the whole desire to to contact our dead relatives

and the Bible condemns it severely severely Leviticus chapter 19 verse 31

Leviticus 19:31

says give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits do not seek after them

to be defiled by them I am the Lord your God and and the Bible tells us in Luke

chapter 16 right there's a great goal fixed it's fixed God fixed it and we're

trying to jump over it and when you do that it's blasphemous right it's

disrespectful to the to the Lord and and he brings that out I am your Lord your

God I am and in another place Deuteronomy chapter 18 verses 10 through

Deuteronomy 18:10–13

13 it says there shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or

his daughter pass through the fire or one who practices witchcraft or a

soothsayer or who calls up the dead for all who do these things are an

abomination to the Lord and because of the abominations the Lord your God

drives them out from before you you shall be blameless before the Lord your

God and then the last one kind of finito a man or a woman who is a medium or as a

familiar spirits shall surely be put to death they shall stone them with stones

and their blood shall be upon them that's what God thinks about that stuff

and we live in a society where it's all it's all acceptable no it's not it's an

abomination to the God of heaven don't go there all my loved ones are waiting

there I'm gonna get to see him talk to him we're gonna have a party all right I

just got to wait they that wait upon the Lord the Bible says that you'll renew

your strength you're gonna have a good time don't try doing something that God

condemns right it's just it's just not right and it's it's it's a scary place

that we're in because it's so it's it's so easy Jesus warned of being deceived

in Matthew 24 same message Luke comes from the Gentile side Matthew comes from

the the the Jewish side it says for false Christ and false prophets will

rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive listen if possible even the

elect that's why people who don't have their guard up they're done they're

toast they're gonna get swept away in the current of spiritual darkness by the

lies that are out there the word elect there something oh that's just talking

about the Jews no not necessarily this scribes those who who have chosen to

follow the Lord that has become God's choice by freely receiving him by faith

that's what elect means it's just too easy you guys if you do not pursue him

on purpose you won't because I'm gonna tell you something the hounds of hell

are pursuing you right you remember when Jesus comes to Peter goes hey Peter

Satan's asked for you by name he's asked for every one of us by name to sift us

his wheat but thank you Jesus for that bud right but I have prayed for you he

says our our great high priest who ever lives to make intercession for us has

prayed for us ask him to pray for you that your faith will be stronger than

what Satan throws at you because it's gonna do nothing but get more bizarre

it's just gonna get more bizarre I was sharing on Wednesday night I saw a

woman this this week and I'm just gonna oh my gosh she was so blatantly demon

possessed I mean blatantly demon possessed I'm just going I don't even

know if I've ever really recognized that before but I mean this woman had some

critter a critter or critters in her and the closer we get to the coming of the

Lord and the the shorter the enemy knows his time is the more crazy it's gonna

get and so you better have some Jesus going on all right so the first reason

is we live in a tech not tech age of technology that is is just spinning out

of control it seems secondly we're at the end of the age realize we're we're

we're in the last of the last days most people believe the last days fools from

the time of Christ from the Ascension the birth of the church we're in the

church age and that we are the church is alive and well when Jesus comes and

takes his bride the church out and Paul warns Timothy in 2nd Timothy 3 1 verses

1 through 7 it says but know this that in the last days perilous times will

come that we're perilous can mean fierce for men will be lovers of themselves

lovers of money boasters proud blasphemers disobedient to parents

unthankful unholy unloving unforgiving slanderers without self-control brutal

despisers of good traitors headstrong haughty lovers of pleasure rather than

lovers of God having a form of godliness but denying its power and from such

people turn away for of this sort are those who creep into households and make

captive of gullible women loaded down with sins led away by various lusts

always learning and never never able to come to the knowledge of the truth and

that's what fascinates me about the church and what the church has embraced

over the years that they just oh it's everything's cool peace love and

brotherhood all over America right just do whatever feels good and you can

embrace any kind of spiritual idea and we know that that's not true but notice

what's the problem people men are lovers of themselves lovers of money and not

lovers of God you show me a lover of God I'll show you somebody who changes the

world that they live in right and you show me somebody who loves himself and

loves money and are boasters and proud and blasphemers and also show you

somebody who destroys the world that is around them so he says there don't be

deceived test all things and hold on to what's good test the spirits John tells

us in first John to see whether they be of God or not is it consistent with

what's being said or what's being taught with the Word of God so many people

don't know the Word of God so they don't know if it's consistent sure sounds good

right I remember my brother went to a scorpions concert when he was in eighth

grade and and his buddy says hey man do this do this Rick goes what does it mean

he goes I don't know but it's cool right I think that's a satanic brotherhood

sign the sign of the goat but anyway it's just it's just crazy we just we

just blindly do these things sometimes not even thinking I know my mom was

fascinated with horoscopes and she grew up knowing about the Bible but she

wasn't consistently in the Bible if you're not consistently in the Bible you

forget the Bible and you do what's in front of you she was always looking at

that and always talking about it and I'm just doing what's up with this like I

read a horoscope one time said don't make any bad business deals today like

you're gonna go out and purposely make bad business deals it's stupid but it's

suggestive and people give themselves over to it and the enemy gets a hook in

them don't have anything to do with that now we can study the stars the is the

astronomy and and studies of the stars is fascinating in fact years ago I heard

dr. G James Kennedy did a powerful net message on the gospel in the stars using

the constellations connected to the twelve tribes of Israel is it's it's

fascinating study but it's a study it's not a worship our worship is to be to

one the one God like Jesus told the woman at the well the father is seeking

those who would worship him in spirit and in truth let's take another chunk

Taylor read in verse 10 of Luke 21 he says then he said to them nation will

rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom and there will be great

earthquakes in various places and famines and pestilences and there will

be fearful sights and great signs from heaven but before all these things they

will lay their hands on you and persecute you delivering you up to the

synagogues and prisons you will be brought before kings and rulers for my

namesake but it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony therefore

settle in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer for I

will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to

contradict or resist you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers

relatives and friends and they will put some of you in some of you to death and

you will be hated by all for my namesake but not a hair of your head shall be

lost by your patience possess your souls so he starts with some stuff that's

gonna happen from the time that he speaks all the way through great

earthquakes in various places famines pestilences fearful sights great signs

from heaven and so he starts with that but then he zeros in on the disciples and

the Apostles he says they're gonna come get you I don't if you've ever read Fox's

book of martyrs but all the all the Apostles save John were martyred they

were killed and they were they they they did it with a smile on their face right

because they knew their end they had come to grips with their death they had

watched their Savior die on a cross broke their heart but then they saw him

rise from the dead and spend 40 days with them and speak into them and their

fear was gone their fear of death was gone is yours it needs to be it needs to

be gone because I believe that we're living in an age where they are talking

about stuff you guys it's like are you serious you want to kill people these

these pestilences it kovat was a pestilence the new one that's coming so

there everyone's talking about it it's almost like we're trying to be they're

trying to condition us oh yeah you'll have to you know the conspiracies you

hear pretty wild right but but the last one I heard it was it was it was

provocative even if it's just a they said the first covert was kind of dialed

in to attack the old kill the old some of you would agree with that maybe I

know I had some old friends that died the next one is gonna be dialed in at

kids because with kids they got leverage right you'll do anything for your kids

you wouldn't want your kids to die would you you know kids die all the time

but death has no hold should have no hold over us when you start thinking

about those things is wow that's heavy right that's a heavy thing what would

you do to save their life or would you just prefer to have them with Jesus

that's kind of where the rubber meets the road isn't it it's a lot of silence

in here right now that is very thought-provoking is it not I mean years

ago they had the old the old end of the age movies you know thief like a thief

in the night and one of them was they had these parents and a child and they

took the child to the guillotine we're trying to get them to denounce Christ

the guillotine is the thing that cuts their head off and some of you are

sitting here and saying well I didn't come to church to hear this today but I

just I just want to be real and people lose their kids been praying for the

the right family Spencer's a little boy that was swept down a kind of a a flash

flood sort of a thing there by their house and they don't they don't know if

he's gonna make it I don't know if he's still alive or not but three years old

praying for them but who's that little guy I belong to really when when we

dedicated our kids the pastor he was here a couple weeks ago pastor Greg and

when you dedicate your children at lighthouse they would make you fill out

a form and on that form was this kid belongs to God and he's God's anytime he

wants to take him and you had to sign off on that so if you can dedicate them

you're really gonna dedicate him or it's just you just going through the motions

so I don't know there's so many conspiracies out there all I need to do

is focus on Jesus cuz I can't figure it at all I mean this this fiasco in

Manhattan was just what a farce right and so it but it's the times we live in

right although all the things I just read there in and in Timothy right

telling a second Timothy there chapter 3 it's it's so true it's what we see going

on around us even right now and so part of this prophecy that Jesus prophesies

fulfilled but some of it is still coming right the the Bible calls the the the

the trouble and the turmoil that the world goes through is like a like a

birth pain right now I know some of you have have experienced birth pains and

some of us guys have witnessed it wasn't quite as painful for me as it was for my

wife but the intensity level and the frequency right it increases it's more

frequent and more intense and that's what we seen we're seeing crazy storm

cycles all over the world it snowed in Dubai guys know where Dubai is we flew

into Dubai here about 15 years ago we got there at midnight we got out of the

plane was a hundred and five degrees at midnight and bizarre bizarre stuff but

Jesus said that's right he says earthquakes in various places and

famines and pestilences and fearful sites great signs I love what he tells

you listen I don't care what they do to you he says here verse 18 but not a hair

of your head shall be lost I will totally preserve you through this this

trial and this the in the killing of your body I'm gonna preserve every cell

of your being and by your patience possess your souls we have to be

patient in these times for several reasons because the Lord calls us to be

to be patient and to count it all pure joy James tells us when you fall into

various trials that's a hard thing right he says count it joy doesn't mean you

need to do jumping jacks yeah right joy is different than happiness joy as your

as something deep in your heart where you're you're you're at peace no matter

what verse 20 says but when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies then know

that its desolation is near then let those who are in Judea flee to the

mountains let those who are in the midst of her depart and let not those who are

in the country enter her for these are the days of vengeance that all things

which are written may be fulfilled but woe to those who are pregnant and to

those who are nursing babies in those days for there will be great distress in

the land and wrath upon the people and they will fall by the edge of the sword

and be led away captive into all nations and Jerusalem will be trampled by

Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled this is a fascinating

scripture here and when it says when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies that's

happened several times in the last couple thousand years it's happened in

the last hundred years many believe that in in 1948 in 1967 that they were

surrounded by armies and so the the tribulation that it talks talking about

here there's two two thoughts the first thought is that it's it's when Titus did

come in in 70 AD and demolished Jerusalem they that's when they tore it

all the rocks down because they set fire to the temple they said not not intending

to because Herod had just remodeled it for the last 40 years but that because

of the gold went down between the the rocks melted and went down that's why

they tore it stone upon stone to retrieve the gold out of the temple

there in Jerusalem the other thought is that this is the tribulation period

which I would have to agree with here in Luke that it is it is it says for these

are the days of vengeance that all things which are written must be

fulfilled but woe to those who are pregnant and nursing babies in those

days for they will be in great distress and the land will and wrath will be upon

this people and they will fall by the edge of the sword many believe that

that's when the woman in Revelation flees into the wilderness Revelation 12

6 and the woman fled into the wilderness where she had place prepared by God that

they should feed her there for 1260 days that's the last half of the

tribulation period so there's a seven-year tribulation period that's

going to come people say when after the rapture of the church the church will be

gone when the tribulation period starts right so the next thing on the prophetic

calendar is the rapture of the church that Jesus is going to come and snatch

his bride out that word rapture right people say oh that words not in the

Bible no what's caught up rap to sources is Latin the or ha puzzle in the Greek

it means to be snatched out taken out I always from being you know horse got the

word equine isn't in the Bible either but horses so that's a set that's a sad

argument but that's the next thing that's gonna happen right and that she's

she's gonna be protected one-third of the Jews are gonna survive the

tribulation period the seven-year tribulation period spoken of dance no

called Daniel 70th week it's called Jacob's trouble it's a seven-year period

of time and it's coming maybe faster than we think but what starts the clock

ticking people want to know the peace treaty the Antichrist will sign a peace

treaty with Israel with the Jews and that starts the seven-year clock because

Daniel tells us in the middle of the week 300 1260 days in that he's gonna

break that covenant that peace treaty he's gonna start taking over Jerusalem

do you realize if we did not have Israel if Israel was not present with us today

like they are we would know none of this nothing absolutely no direction no idea

of future events it's true Missler nailed it when he said Israel is God's

timepiece that's where time began and that's where time's gonna end and boy is

it getting hairy over there right Netanyahu's coming and I'm probably

getting ahead of my notes here I'm I'm already lost so they can mess they can

mess with Israel all they want they can mess with Jerusalem all they want they

will listen they will not be victorious they will not and it's promised in

Zechariah 13 verses 8 9 it says and it shall come to past in all the land says

Zechariah 13:8

the Lord that two-thirds right this is through the tribulation period that

two-thirds in it shall be cut off but one-third shall be left and I will bring

one-third through the fire will refine them as silver is refined test them as

gold is tested they will call on my name and I will answer them I will say this

is my people in each one will say the Lord is my God that's what that seven

years is for is to to get the Jews attention Daniel says that specifically

70 weeks are determined for your people 69 of those weeks are behind us there's

only one in front of us that's the seven year tribulation period now people say

well all right who's the Antichrist Trump he's going to jail you realize

this guy might be the first guy ever to rule America from a jail cell now I'm

not Satan Trump's not guilty he's probably guilty of a lot of things just

like you and I are right but this this what they did there is just it it's it's

a sham man it's just it's it's it's wild totally political the people see it

I don't know the last part of this this little bit that I just read was the time

of the Gentiles right we've we've all heard that right anybody in Bible

circles heard the not till the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled what is Jesus

talking about honestly I think well the Gentiles kind of ruled and reigned the

whole Palestinian area till 1948 and so some think that the time of the Gentiles

was completed in 1948 but there were still some skirmishes they didn't

totally have their feet under him yet and then the 1967 war happened people

said well now the time of the Gentiles has been fulfilled years ago I was

listening to John course and teach he was one of my favorite Bible teachers

and he said you know we've been in spiritual overtime since 1967 because he

thinks the time of the Gentiles was completed then but then you have 1973

the Yom Kippur War when they took back over Jerusalem what about now they just

took Gaza back so those Gentiles are out the penance Palestinians are Gentiles

just like you and I are right for most of us some there are some Jews in here

I think or you got some got some Jewish roots interesting stuff but they're

they're calling for this this this two-state solution it's not gonna happen

ever there nobody wants a two-state solution except for the other countries

and so maybe that's what this is talking about with the the time of the Gentiles

being fulfilled all the Gentiles nations around Israel are telling trying to tell

them what to do when the Gentiles quit meddling with Israel then maybe but

that's only when Jesus comes so the time of the Gentiles not gonna be fulfilled

till Jesus comes I don't know I'm not saying that doctrinally I'm just saying

that these Gentile nations Spain Ireland and Norway have all expressed their

intention to make official their recognition of a Palestinian state while

dozens of countries have recognized a Palestinian state none of the major

Western powers have done so praise the Lord because Israel don't want a

Palestinian or a two-state solution and Palestine definitely don't want a

two-state solution Israel I think would do it but they know that Palestine don't

want the Palestinians don't want it they want Israel gone they don't want a

two-state solution there is no two-state solution and God won't allow it because

it's his and he's only sharing it with the Jews for a while in Ezekiel 38 right

we see Russia Turkey Iran Sudan Libya come against Israel and Israel stands

all by itself so this is gonna be really interesting Netanyahu's I think he might

be over here right now he's gonna talk to our leaders some of them are

questionable Mike Johnson I think he he has Israel back Israel's back I don't

know who else in the administration I know Biden doesn't that's why Biden

didn't want him to go into Rafa because of what they found in Rafa right the

smuggling tunnels going into Egypt and and the US had knowledge of that so

they say and that's that's why they didn't want him going to enter Rafa and

I guess Netanyahu begrudgingly agreed to a ceasefire but I think that's only

until the the Hamas you know takes a potshot and then ceasefires over but in

in 38 it says that Russia Iran Turkey Sudan they all they call all come in

they come against Israel they hate Israel they want to take Israel some

think they want to do it monetary for a monetary reason which it does say in

Ezekiel 39 that they come to take a spoil what's interesting is Erdogan

from Turkey and Raisi from Iran were talking in January January 24th and this

is what Raisi said he said inshallah inshallah means Allah willing the

Zionist regime will disappear it's interesting that he said that because

just a few days ago he's the one that disappeared yeah Raisi from Iran told

Erdogan Allah willing the Zionist regime will disappear well Allah ain't got much

power right because Jehovah said no you're gonna disappear and he's dead in

that helicopter crash just 12 days ago on the 19th of May is when that chopper

went down God does God's gonna keep doing this stuff so the whole world

will know that he's God the whole world's gonna know he's God I don't know

why they don't now all you have to do is look at that little strip of land from

October 7th till now and see what has happened it's like you don't believe God

has a hand in this you're a fool

Ezekiel 38 23 says thus I will magnify myself and sanctify myself and I

will be known in the eyes of many nations then they shall know that I am

the Lord Ezekiel 39 says so I will make my holy name known in the midst of my

people Israel and I will not let them profane my holy name anymore they

profane it now they profaned the name of the Lord now the Jews do and that's why

people get so upset with me you're standing with Israel yeah I'm standing

this is something we need to be watching right we're watching the whole financial

pre-tribulationist that's that's somebody who believes that Jesus gonna

Jesus said to pray that you escape these things coming upon the earth right so

says here pray that you counted worthy that you escape these things coming upon

every day I try to do it every day I watch and pray I first watch God's Word

right I check what's going on in the world and I'm praying watching and

praying because you know what he's coming quickly right at the end of the

book of Revelation Jesus says it three times in chapter 20 22 three times he

he says four times actually three times in 22 once in chapter 3 chapter 3 it

says behold I am coming quickly hold fast what you have that no one may take

away your crown and then I'm gonna turn there real quick and rev rev 22 where he

says in verse verse 7 he tells us

behold I am coming quickly blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of

this book maybe you need to do a little refresher course and read the book of

the Revelation right I can't do it it just freaks me out well be freaked out

because it'll get you ready right it'll remind you that that Jesus is coming

quickly then again he interrupts in verse 12 and behold I am coming quickly

and my reward is with me to give to everyone according to his work I am the

Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end the first and the last right and

last of all in verse 20 he who testifies to these things says surely I am coming

quickly and then John ends it with even so come quickly Lord Jesus you know if

if if you've got something you want to do before he comes you you're crazy

there is nothing that can compare to his coming some you know some young people I

want to get married oh please let me you don't want to get married I won't have a

baby no yeah promise you you don't want to have a baby compared to Jesus coming

you want to get married and have a baby have you lost your mind this is so much

freer and so much more painless for Jesus to come I want to get my driver's

license believe me everybody in here doesn't want you to have your driver's

license I mean it is really ridiculous the things we come up with right but in

comparison there is no comparison to our God amen and he's coming and he's coming

Lord they can do that by just surrendering to you right now Lord they

can physically throw their hands of the air in their heart they just said Lord

my life is yours please take it do with it what you will forgive me of my sin I

turn from my sin and I turn to you with all my heart you pray that prayer and

you mean it from the bottom of your soul you're a new person and your

citizenship is in heaven the place where we all want to end up so Lord would you

be with us this week and Lord as we watch and as we pray about the things

that we see coming up on the face of the earth Lord would you give us give us a

passion to know you and to go deeper with you Lord and that that we could be

like those apostles and disciples Lord that didn't even need to prepare what

they were gonna say but you filled their mouth by your Holy Spirit Lord would you

do that in us Lord as we talk to our neighbors as we talk to our co-workers

Lord as we talk to you Lord that you would speak your truths into our hearts

and our minds and our souls Lord that we would be a bold fruitful people Lord

until you come we pray it in Jesus mighty name amen let's all stand
